- 1:33Speaker 1: last wish brings two strange sisters, Faith and Kelly back
- 1:38Speaker 1: together to travel to the French Alps for Christmas to
- 1:40Speaker 1: recreate her first trip there with their grandfather. Facing all
- 1:45Speaker 1: the challenges and wonder this unique holiday adventure brings, they
- 1:48Speaker 1: learn to cherish their sisterhood above all.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Luzy guests directed in Alpine Holiday. Lucy also directed Christmas
- 1:56Speaker 2: at the Catnip Cafe, which also aired this weekend, as
- 1:59Speaker 2: well as the Providence Falls series and last year's The
- 2:02Speaker 2: Santa Class Twofer A Twofer Yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Blaine Chiapetta wrote the script for an Alpine Holiday. This
- 2:09Speaker 1: appears to be Blaine's first Hallmark script, although his previous
- 2:12Speaker 1: credits include many Hallmark adjacent titles.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Ashley Williams stars as sister Faith. This also marks ash
- 2:20Speaker 2: This marks Ashley's eighty ninth acting credit. This year, she
- 2:23Speaker 2: also appeared in both To Barcelona Forever and To Barcelona
- 2:27Speaker 2: with Love.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Lacey J. Maylee plays sister Kelly. Since Lacey's run as
- 2:33Speaker 1: Jess on Chesapeake Shore, she has appeared in Betty's Bad
- 2:37Speaker 1: Luck and Love and The Perfect Setting. Who's going to
- 2:40Speaker 1: start a petition to get Lacey featured more frequently on
- 2:44Speaker 1: Hallmark Is It Going to be You? My Good Lindsay
- 2:49Speaker 1: from the East Coast.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Out of the list, Julian Somanni plays Frederick. This is
- 2:55Speaker 2: Julian's first Hallmark movie. However, he has appeared in the
- 2:57Speaker 2: Netflix holiday film Holiday, as well as the series Tiny
- 3:01Speaker 2: Beautiful Things and Shrinking.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, one of your favorites, one of my faiths.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Diana Hardcastle plays Grandma Rebecca. Diana's career has spanned over
- 3:12Speaker 1: forty years and includes the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Shakespeare
- 3:17Speaker 1: and Hathaway, and Belgravia.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Let's take a quick break and come right back with
- 3:21Speaker 2: our first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what is your first impression
- 3:33Speaker 2: of an Alpine Holiday?
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm scared right now.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We have not talked about this at all.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and before we jumped on, Mike, You're like, I
- 3:40Speaker 1: can't wait to hear your impression of this movie.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Let's hear it.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I expected cute sister quest, I got emotional accountability.
- 3:49Speaker 2: My first impression is does Blaine Chiapetta have a sister?
- 3:52Speaker 2: Because these two are written to perfection?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Right?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I absolutely agree with that. Okay,
- 3:59Speaker 2: let's talk about likes. Well, let me start with my
- 4:02Speaker 2: first impression. Please, This sister relationship feels so real to me.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I don't have a sister, so maybe I don't know
- 4:09Speaker 2: what I'm talking about, but to me, it's clear. They
- 4:13Speaker 2: paint the picture that they have a lifelong relationship, that
- 4:17Speaker 2: they have a deep amount of love for each other
- 4:21Speaker 2: even when they're fighting. I saw some negative reviews of
- 4:24Speaker 2: this movie, and I am fired up because I think
- 4:27Speaker 2: people are missing the point. It is at times frustrating
- 4:31Speaker 2: to watch the women communicate with each other because they're
- 4:36Speaker 2: behaving in frustrating ways. However that's intentional. They hate each
- 4:41Speaker 2: other where it hurts, Yeah, because they need someone to
- 4:44Speaker 2: say the hard things. Yeah, humans are flawed. They both
- 4:48Speaker 2: have changes they need to make. They both need to stretch,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and these things are painful to do. Exclamation point, exclamation point,
- 4:56Speaker 2: exclamation point.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I agree with you. I absolutely agree with you. I'm
- 5:00Speaker 1: fired up to you. I've seen some negative things. I'll
- 5:02Speaker 1: just say that I've seen some negative things. Why, Okay, whatever,
- 5:06Speaker 1: I agree. The sister storyline was fantastic. Faith and Kelly's
- 5:12Speaker 1: arc like it. I have a sister. We have a
- 5:15Speaker 1: very big age gap. Yeah, we don't have this kind
- 5:17Speaker 1: of relationship, like we don't have you grew up bickering
- 5:21Speaker 1: with each other kind of relationship. It got me like
- 5:23Speaker 1: right in the feelings.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Like I it was very well written, and to be honest,
- 5:29Speaker 2: I thought the writer was a female, so same, I'm
- 5:32Speaker 2: shocked how well it was done, you know. I actually
- 5:36Speaker 2: because I was watching and taking notes for so many movies.
- 5:39Speaker 2: In my mind, I thought it was Tracy Andren who
- 5:42Speaker 2: had written this movie, who wrote another movie I was
- 5:44Speaker 2: watching the same day, and so I was like, oh, yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 2: of course, like Tracy Andrene is so great, She's a
- 5:49Speaker 2: master and my I originally like wrote my notes. I
- 5:52Speaker 2: was like, does Tracy Andrene have a sister? And then
- 5:54Speaker 2: I had to go back and rewrite. I was like, oh, interesting,
- 5:58Speaker 2: very well.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Let me tell you what else I liked. I love
- 6:02Speaker 1: the quest that their grandma left behind. It's fun on
- 6:06Speaker 1: the surface, but it was designed to push the sisters
- 6:12Speaker 1: out of their like comfortable boxes. That's what I really
- 6:15Speaker 1: related to. There was a part in this movie where
- 6:18Speaker 1: it dawns on me like, oh, Faith runs away from
- 6:22Speaker 1: things and Kelly is too scared to start things. And
- 6:25Speaker 1: I found that very painfully relatable. Sure, I cried more
- 6:30Speaker 1: than once watching this movie because I saw myself in
- 6:34Speaker 1: these characters. You know when they have a conversation at
- 6:37Speaker 1: one point and Faith says to Kelly, I love you
- 6:39Speaker 1: so much, but literally everything is outside of your comfort
- 6:42Speaker 1: zone and that felt like being punched in the gut.
- 6:45Speaker 1: And Kelly says back to her, you live out of
- 6:47Speaker 1: a suitcase and call it free spirited. You just keep
- 6:50Speaker 1: moving around so you don't have to feel anything. And
- 6:53Speaker 1: Ashley as Faith is like, hey, like, yeah, she hit
- 6:57Speaker 1: her where it hurts. Yeah, that's such great writing right there.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Like these two sisters are punching below the belt totally.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And I to your point, the quest was fun and
- 7:09Speaker 1: the quest had one purpose like let me take you
- 7:12Speaker 1: on the quest to revisit these places that were important
- 7:14Speaker 1: to your grandfather and I as a way to reconnect,
- 7:18Speaker 1: but that it had a purpose not only for the
- 7:21Speaker 1: sisters but for Frederick as well. Really nicely done to
- 7:25Speaker 1: have those layers in the trip. I think so too.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I think so too. What did you think about Ashley
- 7:30Speaker 1: and Lacey cast as sisters.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I thought they were believable. I loved them as sisters.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I thought they had such great chemistry together.
- 7:37Speaker 1: You know what's funny. Remember when we talked to Ashley Williams.
- 7:41Speaker 1: It was earlier this year, right in January.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It was January, yeah, because we or early February, we
- 7:47Speaker 2: were talking about her dating show.
- 7:50Speaker 1: And I don't remember if we asked her officially or not,
- 7:53Speaker 1: but we were asking if she was going to do
- 7:55Speaker 1: another movie with her sister, and she's like, oh, we're
- 7:57Speaker 1: trying to work on something. And I thought, oh, wonder
- 8:00Speaker 1: if this was supposed to be it? No, maybe, I mean,
- 8:04Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I thought Lacey did a great job
- 8:06Speaker 1: as her sister too. So that was just a side
- 8:10Speaker 1: note from our conversation that we had had with her.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, I had a personal epiphany while
- 8:15Speaker 1: watching this movie. Yeah, and you know we both are
- 8:21Speaker 1: like such Ashley Williams super fans, huge, huge, Like I've
- 8:25Speaker 1: loved her. Jingle Bell Run we talked about last year
- 8:28Speaker 1: was like my favorite movie, right, and we have talked
- 8:32Speaker 1: about her this year quite a bit. We interviewed her
- 8:36Speaker 1: earlier this year. She's so damn likable and I just like.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Her more and more every single time I see her.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Same. The epiphany that I had was She's just so
- 8:49Speaker 1: naturally fun and light and she laughs at things and
- 8:54Speaker 1: things are funny and I don't naturally have those things
- 8:59Speaker 1: nop me either, And I think that's what I find
- 9:02Speaker 1: so likable about her, And like, I'm ready to fight
- 9:06Speaker 1: anybody who has.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Somebody something negative to say about her. Yeah, yeah, I
- 9:10Speaker 2: think she's such a bright light. And you're right when
- 9:14Speaker 2: I see social media clips of her or videos of her,
- 9:17Speaker 2: she's just always having a good time. Yeah, she's humans.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I'm sure she has bad days. I'm sure she's not
- 9:23Speaker 2: always at a ten, but I feel like she comes
- 9:26Speaker 2: at the world from such a genuine, joy filled place,
- 9:29Speaker 2: from a place of positivity. I just really like her,
- 9:33Speaker 2: And yeah, I am an Ashley Williams defender till the end.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm like, she's somebody I want to go out with
- 9:39Speaker 1: because she's gonna like turn things up, you know what
- 9:43Speaker 1: I mean, Whereas like I might at a level two
- 9:45Speaker 1: all the time and I would like to be at eight,
- 9:50Speaker 1: but I need a ten to get me there, you know.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, my brain just was like, are we having
- 9:58Speaker 2: a parasocial relationship with Ashley Willis? And maybe maybe, but
- 10:02Speaker 2: not in a way you should be afraid of Ashley.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Just so she's so likable. She is so likable. I'm
- 10:11Speaker 2: gonna start a fan club. I think this movie did
- 10:15Speaker 2: a nice job of balancing the seriousness with the comedy,
- 10:18Speaker 2: especially up top. It's real comedic up top, the way
- 10:21Speaker 2: Ashley talks to her teeth to say, wow, he's even
- 10:24Speaker 2: not her in person. I really wound it to rewatch
- 10:27Speaker 2: her do that again. It's great, Kelly says, I prefer
- 10:30Speaker 2: to stay at a steady level of anxiety when I travel.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You and me both sisters. Yeah, relatable. Actually says by
- 10:37Speaker 2: the way that Onesie is a walking jump scare. Loved
- 10:40Speaker 2: that line. And also, are you having a Bridget Jones moment?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Some great dialogue? Yeah?
- 10:45Speaker 1: All good. There's one line later I'm gonna talk about it, and
- 10:47Speaker 1: I digit see that that I really liked. But you
- 10:50Speaker 1: know what, I you know what I liked about this.
- 10:52Speaker 1: This wasn't trying to be like a traditional Christmas movie.
- 10:56Speaker 1: It takes place at Christmas time, it's not drowning in
- 11:00Speaker 1: like it's a Christmas story. You know. I was drawn
- 11:04Speaker 1: to that. Yes, like I like when we have some
- 11:06Speaker 1: of these movies sprinkled and through the season. That isn't
- 11:09Speaker 1: like this is a Christmas movie, you know. I liked it.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And the scenery stunning.
- 11:17Speaker 2: The scenery was stunning. The French Alps. Look, my kid's
- 11:20Speaker 2: studying abroad next year and one of his options with Switzerland,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and he chose not to go there. The school has
- 11:29Speaker 2: a view of the French, Italian and Swiss Alps, and
- 11:31Speaker 2: I will never understand. I'm like, why why would you
- 11:34Speaker 2: not go to school here? Now he's not a forty
- 11:36Speaker 2: six year old woman, so that's probably why he chose
- 11:39Speaker 2: not to go to school there. But I was watching this,
- 11:41Speaker 2: I was like, man, we could have we could have
- 11:43Speaker 2: been there. Yeah, we could still go there. But I
- 11:46Speaker 2: have one more like, yeah, tell me it's the opening
- 11:48Speaker 2: credits home video. Oh good, it's really well done. And
- 11:53Speaker 2: the attention to detail as it changes through the years.
- 11:57Speaker 2: First of all, the date is in the bottom right
- 11:58Speaker 2: hand corner, which is great because it marks the time,
- 12:01Speaker 2: but also the style of video changes through the year,
- 12:05Speaker 2: so it's like from cham order yes, a little grainy
- 12:08Speaker 2: right yes. And then like the way the letters are written,
- 12:11Speaker 2: and then on the final screen it says like four
- 12:13Speaker 2: k up at the tip top right.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 12:15Speaker 2: So just the way that it changes over time, just
- 12:17Speaker 2: those tiny little details. I actually watched the beginning of
- 12:20Speaker 2: this movie twice because I started it and then restarted it,
- 12:22Speaker 2: and I didn't notice that the first time, and I
- 12:24Speaker 2: did the second time. And I liked those attention to details.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Miss Lucy Guests.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Lucy Guest does and get talked about enough.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I love her. When you look at what she's done,
- 12:34Speaker 2: I'm like, she she's another one who I think would
- 12:37Speaker 2: be a good time. Oh yeah, I think she's a
- 12:42Speaker 2: good time.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Well, maybe like they need to invite us out. Let's
- 12:48Speaker 1: get together, guys.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, I think Ashley is southern California.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Bas oh, I mean we're uh, you can reach us,
- 12:55Speaker 1: sick girls, Gone Hallmark at gmail dot com.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Let's talk wishes.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I needed the mountain climbing stuff to be a little
- 13:01Speaker 1: bit more believable, and here is why.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Interesting. No, I look, I thought the snowstorm was well done.
- 13:07Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, I believe all that stuff, Like
- 13:11Speaker 1: I think they were out in real weather like that.
- 13:15Speaker 1: But the scene where it was like the wind is blowing,
- 13:18Speaker 1: they have nothing on their faces to protect their faces.
- 13:22Speaker 1: All I could think about. Was that Finding Mister Christmas
- 13:24Speaker 1: scene where like Davy had those big, huge like goggles on.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'm like, that's what they needed in this scene. Uh,
- 13:31Speaker 1: there's no way you would be out in that frigid
- 13:34Speaker 1: weather with no face protection on.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Yeah, because it looks like real weather, right, It didn't
- 13:40Speaker 2: look like Sophie snow blowing all over. But their faces
- 13:44Speaker 2: weren't like bright red like they were being wind blown.
- 13:46Speaker 1: There was one point where I did notice like Ashley
- 13:49Speaker 1: had like a red nose.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, they are cold, yes, but that looks
- 13:54Speaker 2: like there's no way they were out in like a
- 13:57Speaker 2: storm like that though. That would have been dangerous, Like
- 13:59Speaker 2: how do you guarante there's going to be a storm
- 14:00Speaker 2: and there's a storm in your screen?
- 14:01Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I had to have I don't know manufacturing. But it
- 14:05Speaker 2: was well done because I wasn't like, Okay, here comes
- 14:09Speaker 2: the abominable snowman snow right like that at all?
- 14:12Speaker 1: No, And when I talk believable too, I'm like, wouldn't
- 14:16Speaker 1: you have had to train for something like this?
- 14:20Speaker 2: I looked it up because isn't that like the highest
- 14:23Speaker 2: peak in Europe? They said it in the movie.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Okay, you know that's not just something you just go
- 14:29Speaker 1: do on a random day.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Well, but they didn't. They took they took the cable
- 14:34Speaker 2: car almost all the way to the top. They didn't
- 14:36Speaker 2: like hike all the way up here. Yeah, but yet
- 14:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know how far they were hiking.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I don't know the difficulty, but yeah, it seemed even
- 14:43Speaker 2: that multitude I think would have been difficult.
- 14:48Speaker 1: That's all. That's all I have really for my wishes,
- 14:50Speaker 1: except I do have one more. I wish we could
- 14:53Speaker 1: have spent a tiniest bit a little bit more time
- 14:56Speaker 1: on faith relationship with Ben is that his name?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Ben? I wanted just a touch more like context, Yes, just.
- 15:06Speaker 2: A touch, especially when you get the end where you
- 15:08Speaker 2: fast forward to she's pregnant. Yeah, it's like, are we
- 15:12Speaker 2: rooting for them? What do we don't only care about faith? Yeah?
- 15:16Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't didn't know. And you know what,
- 15:18Speaker 1: we didn't even talk about Lacy and Frederick, did you
- 15:24Speaker 1: that's not their names, Kelly and Frederick. Yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I thought that was sweet. I thought it was well done.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I thought they start from a place of why don't
- 15:32Speaker 2: you come visit me? It was nice. It served a
- 15:36Speaker 2: purpose for her to be like stretching outside of her
- 15:38Speaker 2: comfort out and doing things that are hard.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but this story is definitely about the sisters, right, Assistan?
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:43Speaker 1: I agree? Yeah, agree? What were your wishes?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Really struggled to come up with anything? And the only
- 15:48Speaker 2: thing I have is you mentioned it in your likes.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But for me, I do maybe wish the holiday vibes
- 15:54Speaker 2: were und up just a tiny git, just a t
- 15:57Speaker 2: that's the difference between you and I. I really the
- 16:00Speaker 2: thing is, this is like a if I have to
- 16:02Speaker 2: wish something, this is what it's going to be. Because
- 16:05Speaker 2: is this a Christmas movie? To me? The answer is no,
- 16:08Speaker 2: it's a winter movie, which is fine, but we're calling
- 16:12Speaker 2: it a holiday movie. Oh we're splitting hairs here. It
- 16:14Speaker 2: just was like a light dusting of Christmas than a
- 16:17Speaker 2: full snowstorm of it. And it didn't ruin anything for me,
- 16:20Speaker 2: but I would have taken more.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of interesting. I was trying to think, like, oh,
- 16:26Speaker 1: if I were these characters and we don't really have
- 16:29Speaker 1: any family, right.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Yeah, would you be willing to be gone for Christmas?
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah? I would?
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, me too.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I have no problem with that too.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Let's talk. Did you see that. I have a lot.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh good, Okay, I only have two. One is would
- 16:43Speaker 1: you have gone onto that? Like nope, step into the
- 16:49Speaker 1: there is okay. Here in Orange County, in Newport Beach,
- 16:53Speaker 1: there is a by the library. There is some sort
- 16:57Speaker 1: of stare situation where you can do you know where
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about. It's off of MacArthur. It's by the
- 17:05Speaker 1: Newport Beach Public Library. But there's like the stair situation
- 17:08Speaker 1: with like an overhang like that that goes over a park.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I took my daughter to it one time when she
- 17:15Speaker 1: was little, and I did have like a slight panic
- 17:17Speaker 1: attack where I had to like slowly sit down because
- 17:20Speaker 1: I was afraid. There's no way I would have gone
- 17:25Speaker 1: on this thing, even though in my mind this is
- 17:27Speaker 1: where I would need Ashley Williams level ten to drag
- 17:30Speaker 1: me out there.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yes, you know what was very interesting. I watched that
- 17:35Speaker 2: scene twice. First of all, I do think Ashley, if
- 17:38Speaker 2: you look at their faces, lazy does look apprehensive. Now
- 17:40Speaker 2: maybe that's acting. Ashley just looks happy about it, like
- 17:43Speaker 2: she doesn't look like she's hiding nerves. She's like this
- 17:45Speaker 2: is amazing.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 17:46Speaker 2: And you know, it's like Ashley as Kelly. I think
- 17:49Speaker 2: that was good casting Ashley Ashley as Faith. Yeah, I
- 17:53Speaker 2: think that was good casting because I think her vibe fits.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Kelly's like free spirited. Yeah, find the fun vibe. I
- 18:00Speaker 2: also really love that drone pullback that they do. That's
- 18:03Speaker 2: a nice shot.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 2: When we were in New York a couple weeks ago,
- 18:06Speaker 2: we went to a place called The Edge, which is
- 18:08Speaker 2: just a tall building. I mean, there's a lot of
- 18:09Speaker 2: stuff going on in the Edge, but you go to
- 18:11Speaker 2: the top. It's a tall building. I think it's better
- 18:14Speaker 2: than the Empire State Building MM in terms of the view,
- 18:18Speaker 2: not as iconic. But they have a plexiglass floor in
- 18:24Speaker 2: the middle of the platform and my daughter went on
- 18:27Speaker 2: it and I did not, but she took a picture
- 18:29Speaker 2: on it, and I was like, okay, get off.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Now do you have to tell your brain like this
- 18:34Speaker 1: is safe? They wouldn't. It wouldn't be here if it
- 18:37Speaker 1: wasn't safe.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, But then my brain's also like hearing the non
- 18:41Speaker 2: existent sound of it cracking. Yeah, like, which I feel
- 18:45Speaker 2: like has happened in like horror movies. Oh, I'm sure,
- 18:48Speaker 2: what else did you see?
- 18:49Speaker 1: There was one line and I don't know it exactly,
- 18:52Speaker 1: but Kelly says to Faith, you want me to apologize
- 18:56Speaker 1: for my anxiety? Do you remember this? Like Faith was
- 19:01Speaker 1: like going in on her about like you're too anxious
- 19:03Speaker 1: about this and that, and she's like, I'm not going
- 19:05Speaker 1: to apologize for my anxiety or it was something along
- 19:08Speaker 1: those lines, and which I just it made me stop
- 19:11Speaker 1: in my tracks. I was like, that is such a
- 19:13Speaker 1: good line. You know you and I spin out occasionally, right,
- 19:20Speaker 1: and we shouldn't have to apologize for it.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Anyway, I thought it was great.
- 19:24Speaker 2: In the beginning of the movie, the final scene from
- 19:28Speaker 2: the home videos with their grandmother and Grandma's like, oh
- 19:31Speaker 2: we forgot Grandpa.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Is not the sweetest thing ever.
- 19:35Speaker 2: It is the sweetest thing ever. Was there a split
- 19:38Speaker 2: second where you thought she's gonna grab his ashes? No,
- 19:41Speaker 2: that's what I thought.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I didn't. No, I didn't even think about it.
- 19:44Speaker 2: But I love that I grabbed his photo.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Was sweet. I feel like I've seen that before, like
- 19:48Speaker 1: family pictures and then.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah family. Oh yeah, it was sweet. It
- 19:52Speaker 2: was very sweet. But for a split second, I was like,
- 19:54Speaker 2: can you grab his ashes? When they go to the
- 19:57Speaker 2: fromage Shop, the Cheese Shop and tremony. Yes, the font
- 20:02Speaker 2: says Fromage in comic sans no. While they're in their
- 20:08Speaker 2: small cabin on their final hike, their respite from the storm,
- 20:12Speaker 2: they ad r a line that Lacy as Kelly says.
- 20:17Speaker 2: What you hear her say is Grandma would rather us
- 20:20Speaker 2: be late than hurt. What you see her say is
- 20:24Speaker 2: Grandma would rather us be late than dead. Oh really
- 20:27Speaker 2: I saw. I was like, that was awkward, and I rewound.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And while I can't say for sure, I'm very certain
- 20:35Speaker 2: that what she says is dead and not hurt. And
- 20:37Speaker 2: someone was like, we're gonna, We're gonna what that is? No,
- 20:41Speaker 2: it would not have bothered me. Who's feathers were that
- 20:43Speaker 2: of ruffles? I don't know. Finally, at the end of
- 20:48Speaker 2: the movie, maybe I have forgotten, but the credits roll
- 20:52Speaker 2: over the screen. They roll over the final scene. While
- 20:57Speaker 2: there it's the grandmother voice over, and it's the flash forward.
- 21:02Speaker 2: It's not a cut to black credits roll. The credits
- 21:04Speaker 2: are rolling on the screen.
- 21:06Speaker 1: I don't think I noticed.
- 21:07Speaker 2: So I need to know, Lucy guest, did this movie
- 21:10Speaker 2: run thirty seconds long and you needed that time? And
- 21:13Speaker 2: you roll the credits on the screen instead of after
- 21:16Speaker 2: that's im her and I ask, is this something that
- 21:18Speaker 2: happens all the time? And I just know because I
- 21:20Speaker 2: watch a lot of Hallmark and sometimes I'm trying to
- 21:22Speaker 2: pull details from the credits and it's always running on
- 21:25Speaker 2: a black screen. Yeah, and it's it they run fast, yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 2: and so it's almost it's always like a game of
- 21:31Speaker 2: pausing it in time to be able to see it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: And so I noticed when they were on the screen.
- 21:35Speaker 2: We live the same way the video as opposed to
- 21:39Speaker 2: just a black screen. Cool, We're fun. What did you
- 21:45Speaker 2: rate an Alpine Holiday?
