- Jamie: We knew it was coming and they couldn't stop it. Liam: What other mystery oily fish could I be? You know, bam, sardines. and he gets you every time. Jamie: I definitely don't like a bit of that. Liam: Whoa! Chill out, Jamie. is, Jamie: P-Ryne of all running backs though to lose your snaps to is mental, Liam: The beautiful, rampant running Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jamie: my survivor I'm in bits. I'm in bits. We're a week seven I'm four nil down. Liam: Kirk, back in purple, couldn't think of anything better. Did you understand it? Jamie: What? Liam: Why are they turning up Peaky Blinders? What's up? Another Fourth and T podcast. It's the week seven game review show, hosted with me, Liam, and my fellow host, forgot your name, Jamie. How you doing, mate? Jamie: great. so we'll get into it, but obviously Panthers fan. Liam's, Seahawks, Buccaneers, sometimes Jaguars. He's gone to the Bills before. Liam: Seahawks Buccaneers. Let's stick to the point. Jamie: so it's been rather depressing. I said earlier, like the, the, the first interaction I had this morning, was about the Panthers. I've been sent memes. I've been ridiculed in the group chats. by chargers fans by dolphins fans i i was the victim this this this week and it hasn't been great Liam: You know what, Jamie? Fourth Jamie: Yeah. Liam: best defence, I told ya. I caught it last week. Jamie: No, no, and you know what? It's how bad if I just ran inside zone inside zone inside zone inside zone and then my defense just doesn't want to tackle anybody ever. That's the Buccaneers Panthers game right there. So. Liam: Well, we're gonna get into it, but Jamie: time. Liam: If if that's all you have to do, Jamie, that's all you gotta do. That's all that's all I'm gonna say. But anyway, apart from that, we're a new show until we're not. And I'll keep saying that. And we're gonna go and do the show run through until you guys know it. We're gonna start with our game reviews. Do a quick review of everything that happened, all the main points and the scores. Then we're gonna. Catch up on our wild takes from the last show. We're then gonna do our fantasy pickups of the week and then end with our winners and losers of the week. So cool. Jamie, are you ready? Jamie: Ready. Liam: Ready, first game to review. It is the Patriots who lost to the Bears 24 30 in Thursday night football with me. The Bears were two point five favorites and they covered for the win. So Caleb Williams, he's back, and he is flawless. He is the Ben Johnson machine. Thrown for two touchdowns, 19 of 22, over 250 yards. And he hit Roma Dunze, who's been a little bit quiet, but he's coming back. He's coming back now a little bit more for all those people keeping an eye on him for fantasy. when it's third and nine on his own 10. Awesome. Drake May threw for over 300 yards. So the fantasy bubble is not what it was at the beginning of the year. But his end zone interception in that first quarter. These are the differences in these big games. I think this early schedule has been is been quite good. We've had. There's a lot of games that feel like they're playoff level with playoff atmospheres and playoff ramifications. To me, this was one of them. But just to c you know, we said about how Caleb was probably maybe the difference over Drake May because he was more clutch. But just one of the star performers, Luther Burden. Just to give him a short shout out. Four receptions, 130 yards and a touchdown. obviously, I said about Drake May, over 300 passing yards. So, yes, amazing. But the whole team, the whole performance wasn't there. And then Colst Loveland, he's had some quiet weeks, but you're happy this week. 69 yards and a touchdown. Jamie, how did you feel about this? Jamie: I predicted it. just went I went for the Bears because they're the home team and that was literally the only difference I could see in this game didn't actually have that much of an impact. But like you said, it's just these games are on that one mistake. And unfortunately, Drake, Drake made BTEC, Josh Allen made it and Liam: I love me some bee t I I predicted B tech Josh Hall. Jamie: You did and he played well, but that one mistake. mean, the, touchdown at the end of the second quarter going into halftime was embarrassing for the bears to concede, but they bounced back well, put their foot down, got the job done. And now they're just chasing that NFC North title. So five and two for the Chicago Bears. Liam: Yeah, but this Bears team will if they're fit, we'll take some stop in. I have seen that they're looking to try and get a little bit more defensive talent in the trade window before it closes. But yeah, we'll see how that goes. Sunday night football. It is the Kansas City Chiefs who lost. With three points against the Seattle Seahawks up at Lumenfield, who scored 20. And we said this was the Kenneth Walker revenge game. Well, there was no revenge. We'll put it that way. He went, he did, he rushed, he was under 30, under 50 yards. The Seal the Seahawks, they practiced against him all last year and the years before that. They know him. and that's Seattle, you know, the anaconda of a dark side that just suffocates teams. It's back. They they were everything that you thought they was, and like the dark side that were the playoffs last year, and they just made. They just shut Kansas this I was saying that Kansas are the best team in the league. This Seattle Seahawks defence this made me believe that they are Super Bowl contenders again. They shut down Kenneth. See ya, Kenneth, no revenge. Although I love Kenneth, sorry, Kenneth. And we said that Patrick Mahomes, it's weird for them to be having such a good season. And him not being the focal point of that offense. I think that showed. Because Jamie: Yeah. Liam: now you go, well, if Kenneth Walker isn't getting it done, Pat, Jamie: Who else you got? Liam: what what what came what did you do? So I think that showed. I want to say something though for the other side. I mean, one, Sam Darnold. he loves he makes you sweat, doesn't he? How are you throwing more interceptions in the end zone? This guy, chill out. Chill out, Sam. You're gonna win a lot of games if you if you don't do that. He tried to throw it away against the Chiefs today. But Jackson Smith and Jigba, I need to call him out. You could the doubles aren't working on him. You've got to give up. I mean, he had nine catches for a hundred and fifty-eight yards. He had a touchdown in this game. He had some of these big receptions that were ended up going out for two yards, two at two and goal, one yard to goal. and it's on pace to beat Calvin Johnson's one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four yard record. Jamie: Wow. Liam: Bosha. Come on. Mate, this guy, he's actually unstoppable. Also, Emmanuel Wilson getting the running game done in Seattle, who are also being rumored to trade for some running backs. Jonathan Taylor, I actually saw was a rumour. But anyway, yeah. Go, Jamie. What's what are you thinking? Jamie: I saw that on Twitter as well, What did you make of Kenneth Hawker just not doing any handshakes, running off the field like a pretty sore loser? Liam: You know what? Jamie: Some revenge game he's just gone. All right. See you later. I think obviously the I mean he only got 36 yards. He stopped his 11 game streak and 50 plus like Liam: I feel so I feel I actually just feel sorry for him. Jamie: And he it. Liam: I just feel sorry for him because he probably doesn't even want to do he just won the Super Bowl as an MVP with Seattle. He's had his big break, that's made his career, that's made him famous. And he's probably got a bit more famous because of all of the talking in the media anyway, with all of the nonsense that went on around him. I feel really sorry for him. I don't feel like he's a confrontational guy. and I don't know. I I I just feel sorry for him. That's all. That's all. I don't even want to get too Jamie: Okay. Liam: much into it. I'm just buzzed by Seattle, just like, crushing the Chiefs. Jamie: Yeah, I wanted to see this defense come back to life and this is the game where you're like, Kenny Falk has been unstoppable this season. Patrick Mahomes, obviously, maybe he's not recovered probably from his injury, I don't know. But actually, be fair, if look at Mahomes' title, like people he's actually targeted to throw the ball to, it's not a great core, is it? Liam: Mate, they're missing they're missing Rice. Jamie: Yeah, massively. Liam: We said that Kenneth Walker having a good game makes it easier to pass to the people that he's got. Still doesn't make the people that he's got good. so I've been Patrick Mahomes, what was he? 19 to 33, 165 yards and an inception. But you know, he's being chased down all day. I mean, said last week that I've said it a few times now, to get their mojo back, Seattle just need one signature performance where they crush a An elite or perceived to be elite offense, and I don't think it comes much better than this. And I just think that they've just run into the buzzsaw of a fit functioning fighting Seahawks D. Like Nicki Manwari was out at the beginning of the year, and look at the difference he makes in this game. So yeah. that's it. That is it, Jamie. The Seahawks are rolling on. They're going back to a repeat. Cool. Jamie: The silks are back. There you go. Liam: Seahawks are back. Cool. On to the next one. And it is the Steelers who beat the Saints in Paris in the international game and they covered with a win by six points. Jamie, what you got? Jamie: Well, we both called it. We both thought the Steelers would win, but first regular season game in Paris, you want like a proper good game. like, wow. And this was, I mean, it's the two teams that have been like the weirdest teams to sort of watch. Like Steelers have been sometimes really good, sometimes not very good. Saints have been exceptional. Then other times since Tyler Schucks got injured, where his hands just both banged up, they've just looked, well, they just can't buy a win to save their lives. And this game was... turgid, it was like, this is for the pure hearted NFL fans watching this Steelers just just absorbed the clock pound in it. It was actually quite enjoyable. Jalen Warren did well over a hundred yards on the ground. Aaron Rogers on the ground, sailing at the end with a little scramble way. Do you know what Aaron Rogers and the quarterback crew turning up in full suits like they're from Peaky blinders was sensational. Liam: Did you understand it? Jamie: What? Liam: Why are they turning up Peaky Blinders? Jamie: I honestly, no idea. I was really confused. I was like, in London, I guess, like, it's a UK based show. So like, I know, know, your ends. Yeah. But instead, it got to Paris. Liam: based on the black country man, based on the Midlands. You've not gone to Birmingham, chaps. You're in Paris, where a red bear at. Jamie: Yeah. And I actually forgot Mesa Rudolph was there. And I was like, who's that? I was like, I was Mesa Rudolph. yeah. Liam: Was he a Peaky Blinder? Jamie: Yeah. Yeah, and that was probably the most entertaining bit Liam: Mate. Well, talking about that, I've seen some clips of a rod chains as well. We talk about Kerco chains and we got a rod chain. Yeah. Jamie: was so... A-Rod Jones. There is something about... There is something... Not endearing, that's probably definitely not the word, but like there's something about A-Rod that... just... It's his last season, they've just gone five and two. He loves the International Series as well. I mean, he put forward... There's probably a one to talk about away from the game because literally there's nothing much to talk about apart from lots of field goals. Like... He said that they should have an NFL International Week where everybody plays an international game across the whole world. Liam: I think that's terrible. Jamie: How mental is that? Liam: Yeah, I think he's trying to make it sound like he loves international games by then making it that we only have one week. Jamie: literally all games in one week. Liam: Yeah, that's get it and get just get it over and done with give it do it game week one. yeah, that's they'll say next. But Jamie: Yeah, the other thing about international games, obviously there's not many, try to think, just the Germany one. Liam: This is Spain one, I think. Madrid. Jamie: yeah, Miami going there, aren't they? Liam: Yeah. Jamie: The only one to talk about, Roger Goodell, come out and said that Tokyo, he wants to bring Yennefer to Tokyo. Liam: That would be sick. Jamie: How unbelievable would that be, by the way? Liam: And Jamie, that's why it can't be an all-on-week because we can't go to London and Tokyo on the same weekend. Jamie: I know, is so house. Imagine Thursday night football in Tokyo. Liam: I don't know. One last note on this game. The Saints defense. You're the worst run defense in the league. You got to get it sorted. And Jaylen Warren had a game. He went for over 100 yards just. And he got what else did he get? He went for over 100 yards on you. And I don't know what you say. What are the Saints even got? Have you got any hope for the Saints? Jamie: No, I really don't. Liam: They're now going to be bottom binning the NFC. In my opinion, they're going to finish fourth in the NFC South. Jamie: Maybe, but they always beat the Pampers last season. If they've got a bad run defence, what the bloody hell have we got? Liam: Okay, well that's a nice little segue. on to the next game, and it is the Tampa Bay. The beautiful, rampant running Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who scored 43 points against the Little Cat Boys. The Panthers, who scored 13 points. They and the Bucks upset the odds, and won by a mammoth 30 points. So I'll kick us off on this one. The books won the first pod bowl of the fourth and T podcast. That's a one nil series opener. That's gonna start us off. And I know Jamie loves that one. Bucky Irving had 106 yards to touchdowns. Kenneth Gainwell 88 yards. And the third running back on the books had a 46 yard touchdown run. That's a lot of rushing yards kids. Jamie: Can I just say, what's the guy's name, got the 46 yarder? Liam: Sean took a. Jamie: Sean Tucker. So in total, we actually got 45 yards, right? Rushed it three times, got a 46 yard touchdown, run for a loss, run for no gain. Was it three rushes? Liam: Thanks for that. Jamie: Honestly, Liam: You'd have taken that, the Panthers would have taken that, wouldn't they? Jamie: yeah. Liam: You know what though, here you go, Jamie, name a better third running back than Sean Tucker. See, you can't. Love that. No Jamie, that's... Jamie: I mean anybody against the Panthers. Liam: Well, there we go. And Baker Mayfield threw, and I know you're to say he didn't pass that much, but he did throw his 200th, Jamie: He didn't, pa. Liam: his 200th career pass to Tez. Jamie: Honestly, if Evans is still on the roster by late this evening, if not tomorrow, then I've given up for the season. That Evans, that coverage was disgusting, by the way. Absolutely disgusting. Not as Liam: You know what? Jamie: bad as Devin Lloyd falling over. We paid big money for Devin Lloyd. Yeah, Jadon Phillips was out, whatever. That defensive line was a horror show yesterday. EJ Evro, still in the job after conceding 50 whatever against the Bears. what was it 43 against a limp Tampa Bay who literally you got bake a mate build with one hand Liam: Mate, before today, hang on, before today, Tampa Bay's defense, on certain metrics, fourth best defense out there, this was a Todd Bowles game against his old Jamie: This will talk- yeah- Liam: offensive coordinator, Todd put him, he's like, I'm your boss. I'm the Bowles, you're the baby, you know? Jamie: Yeah, as I said to yesterday, I'm happy for Todd Bowles. I want to give him a contract extension, keep him in Tampa for as long as possible. Sack Dave Canales. He got taught a lesson yesterday and I said it, like last pod, I said it in the preview, said this is a prove it game, right? And I've got some, I've got some horror stats about this Carolina Panthers team when we're in a winning position. We should be 4-2 right now, but we are. Liam: You wasn't in a winning position in this game. Jamie: No, no, as in like so right. Okay. With a winning, with a win, Liam: Yeah, please explain. Jamie: no, no, with a win record, right? Dave Canales, when entering a game with a winning record since he's been head coach, 2025 against Bills, we were four and three. We lost 49. 2025 against the Saints, we were five and four. We lost 17-seven at home. 2025 against the 49ers was six and five. We got three interceptions on Brock Purdy, obviously, because he loves turning the ball over as we'll get to. We lost that one 20 to nine. Saints again, the same season, we were seven and six. We lost 20, 17 in New Orleans, 20, 25 against Seahawks. Obviously we lost that one as well. 27, Liam: Whey! Jamie: 10. And then this season, Buccaneers, we were three and two. We lost 43, 13. We've been outscored, we're nought and six when we have a winning record under Dave Canales. We've been outscored 65, 167. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Liam: And Jamie, long may it continue. Okay, long may it continue. Yeah, no. Jamie: Yeah, I got through that without swearing. Kenny Pickett, Kenny Pickett, couple of fantastic passes against your, against your third and fourth backups, by the way. Liam: It might be, might be, might be the second best position. It might be the second strongest position on the squad, the backup quarterback. But yeah, you know what though? I honestly think that the Tampa Bay Bucks defense when it's going to get itself together is something that teams have to deal with. You've got Kalajukansi, Yahya Diaby. Jamie: Yeah, you got to talk about him. He was sensational yesterday. Liam: just made that man because I Jamie: everywhere. Liam: was I thought Ruben Bane was going to really, really unlock. Look, I was excited for other people. I thought that I thought other players were going to help Ruben Bane be what Yaya Diaby is being. But three sacks. Bosher, you know, I mean, he is just made and Bryce is shifty. Jamie: Yeah, we've Liam: Tell me, tell me, tell me he's not shifting. Jamie: He went into this game as the best quarterback in the NFL. Liam: Yeah. So, three sacks for one player. Woo. But yeah, I mean, some of this, I mean, those people were worried about the secondary as well. They've had some good games in secondary. They've got players in that secondary. just wanted to call out and it is Zion McCollum. McCollum. you know, he is the guy that helped with the punt block. Fantastic, by the way, watch that replay that big man front flip, land on your back, break your back. I don't know how I feel about that, but a 20 Jamie: you Liam: stone front flip land on your bum. That's still fair play. So yeah, I mean, let's see how we go forward now, but mate, as ever Jamie, and you'll agree, the NFC South remains spicy. Jamie: It is a, we've said it so many times, it's such a bloodbath. It gets so disrespected. then everybody in this, the NFC are whipping boys, the saints went to Baltimore and slapped them. That's the standard of the NFC South. The 49 is get done, which we'll cover in probably next time. like, know, 49, probably next time. But yeah, yeah, go on. Liam: But yeah, also what I want to say, I want to say that Jamie, no, no, I don't want to, I don't want to cap this off with anything like a NFC South take. Jamie: I know I was going to do a bucks, which I like a bucks that a really nice positive one. Liam: Go, go for it. Jamie: Kaleidjikans- er, Klansi- Klansi? Liam: chance can't see. Collider can't see. It's hard to say all in one go. Jamie: can see. Blocked it, got the two point return on the botch PAT for the Panthers and he got a strip sound for a touchdown. It looked cool, was the first one in like a year, we get one every single year. The Cardinals should have had one against Rams last week, but it was a big, big offensive tackle. He was Liam: He was the big big boy. Jamie: a big boy running, but this buck was not and he managed to get to the end zone. But yeah, damn. Liam: I don't want this to be anybody take away from this that this is a sad Panthers take or some kind of good for the NFC take. This is a damn good Buccaneers take and that's what we're going to end this game with. onto the next one. Feels good. Jamie, it's you. It's the 49ers. who are now six and one with 20 points, who lost to the Atlanta Falcons, who's got 29 points. Here's Jamie. Jamie: Wow, sensational. 49s were favourites going into this game. Brock Purdy getting accepted twice, getting sacked as well. George Kittle did a fumble. God. You know what is quite, it was quite good. Jesse Bates sensational INT. I didn't think it was at start. They called it on the field, as you said, know, pretty sure hard to turn it over with, with not inclusive evidence, but. Damn, the 49ers overall did outgain Atlanta. That's all you've got, right? But Brock Purdy, we say to Sandock, just look after the ball. You're meant to be Mr. System QB yourself. Keep the ball secure. If you're going to lob it out of bounds, lob it out of bounds, man. Don't put it in a place where it's dangerous. Like the Drake Mays ones against the Bills, like not against the Bills, literally against the... Sea Halt, where he tried to throw out bounds, the back of the end zone he gets caught on the side of it. Just get it out of bounds, get it away, but no Brock Purdy things. Liam: It was as heroes, by the way. Jamie: It was silk, yeah, yeah, I thought you would know. But Michael Pennex again orchestrating that team, three touchdowns, clean, B-Jean doing what B-Jean does. Liam: Gimme that mustard. Jamie: Dijon, Dijon. And we both picked the 49ers. We were both wrong. But Fair Play to the Falcons. Again, good division. NFC South, good division. You've got to be up for a rough and tumble if you're going to beat the NFC South boys. Liam: May made Jesse Bates unreal game. Jamie: sensational. Liam: He's been he's just been so good since he'd been in the league. So let's just let's just celebrate him one moment. The other one I said I'm not going to pick against the fine wine 49ers until I lose and then go lose to the Falcons. So like I actually will be looking at them a little bit closer now. Probably because I think these injuries at some point are now catching up with them. You know, my Jamie: Yeah, losing Mike Evans, yeah, he, yeah. Liam: Mike Evans out now. mean, I think Mike Evans is going to come back. I think it's just management, but Christian Kirk didn't hear much about him. He's meant to be back, but I don't know. At some point you're to hit a wall when you lose like literally five receivers and a load of pass rushes. So they're looking for players in the trade window as well. but sad for Kiddo getting it punched out at the end of the game. Was it on tight end day? Jamie: Yeah, National Titan Day. Do know what? I respect the effort, but I think it's the first time he's ever fumbled as well in his career. Liam: is not a thumb bullet. Jamie: He's not, he? Probably not the first, but you Liam: Don't fumble the bag that lad. Jamie: don't see it. I think the game was over anyway. I mean, nine points with like what? Under a minute to go, two minutes to go. like, you know. Yeah, against the Dirty Birds. So that's the way to go. Liam: Just a dirty way to go down, wasn't it, for him? But, against the dirty birds. I mean, we're not gonna talk about the logo, but anyway, dirty birds, we don't talk about the logo. Jamie: do we? Go have a look. There is some unbelievable memes, by the way. Go and have a look. Liam: there is some unbelievable memes. On to the next one. It's with you, Jamie. Another corker. Talk about a game week. It is the Giants who winning overtime with 27 points against the Texans who scored 21 points. Texans were favored by 9.5 points. Bosher. Jamie: I Liam: Take that. Jamie: might, we'll cover it later, but my survivor I'm in bits. I'm in bits. We're a week seven I'm four nil down. These Houston Texans, Liam: What the Jamie: I said to her, I'm so glad we fought them because like, what the heck? What was that? They made JJ McCarthy, we'll get onto the Vikings as well. think they've they've clearly made some error because JJ McCarthy looked, the throw he was making to Malik Nablus was unbelievable. In the like the space he had to make these throws I questioned I couldn't believe he was starting over James Winston I did like seeing Jamie's just come in for one or two plays to just on a third down there just bossy over Liam: Mate, they bought in Jameis just to do touch brushes. Jamie: Yeah, and he probably loved it and I'm like what a bloke like that is a team performance and you've got three running backs who started in the game. Can you believe it if you use your RB1 to actually get yardage and give him the ball in his hands he's gonna make stuff happen? Shout out Scatterboos gloves. What do we say about a running back wearing gloves? He wore some gloves at the NRG and he gets a little tuddy. Singletary got one and it was a one-on-one at the end Singletary sprinting away Yeah, Liam: Singletary got that overtime touchdown. Jamie: I mean the Houston couldn't get a turnover against this I really thought they would get a load. I thought they have a great time But like CJ shroud struggled against this Giants defense. I think Harbos Yeah Liam: Mate, I want to say this, Big Blue's defense is no joke. And Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I think that is the big takeaway from this season for the Giants. Their defense, they've been building this front, they've been building up players, they've been taking chances in the secondary. The defense for the Giants is no joke. And they might have a chance at this, at this NFC East. They really, really might, which is Which is why you're losing DART in game one, not game two. Jamie: Mental. So I'm going to say something outrageous here. I think that was probably the most complete performance from an offense special teams defense in a game that I've seen so far this season. Every Liam: Are you showing a bit love for Big Blue? Jamie: I I might be. Liam: James is in bed with Big Blue, ladies and gentlemen. James is gonna be happy at last. James Jamie: Meet meet James. Liam: is, join me and James in the lab. You'll see, you now get to see the science. Yeah. Jamie: We're cooking. they worked like the special teams made plays, defense made plays when needed to, offense brilliantly made plays on the ground through the air. It's a great win. That is a great on the road. That's you prove you're in a, you're a playoff team with a win like that. Liam: Yeah, Mystic Marshall agreed with Mystic Monkey. We fought the Texans and I was getting a bit worried, now, now you know, now we're there. Jamie: Yeah, I feel a bit easier. Liam: On to the next game. It's with me. It is the Miami Dolphins. Who won that off the mat? They've got 28 points. against the Jets who are now two and five. They scored 25 points in East Rutherford. So yes, it was an upset upset against the Buckees. The Dolphins got their first lead of the season, which when I heard that alive by the commentators, I was like, wow, hell of a stat. But you know what? It was a sign of things to come. And in the absence of A-chan. The Dolphins' weapons have come alive. Hello, Olly Gordon. Hello, Caleb Douglas. Malik Willis looking good as well. I mean, he ran in as well. Malik Willis is supposedly the fastest quarterback in the league. I'm going to say, I believe it. The Chets were sloppy though. Gina Smith. He's been really clean all year, but then he's throwing his second interception. Now, Braylon Allen, who has been this fantasy wave of work, great pickup, wasn't doing, he was getting stuffed. He wasn't doing the things that we've now kind of expected a backup running back to do. And you think, we need Bruce Hall. Omar Cooper, Jr. though, he is, he's pulling his way. He's doing bits and I don't know, not. not not quality game. Two teams are you like who's going to stand up who's going to be able to dig their heels in and I think a sloppy game. Jamie called it. Jamie called it in his not in his game prediction. But his wild take of the week. Jamie: I did. Not in my prediction. Yeah. Liam: And you know what the Dolphins were actually really happy that there's one two that has no way now. Yeah. Jamie: Especially being them. Yeah. Wow. mean, I did. Liam: Well done, dolphins. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, first win as a head coach as well. So, yeah, I mean, all you can say is just well done. The Jets had so many opportunities to win this game, by the way. Like, my goodness. you can target Garrett Wilson, by the way. You can throw your best wide receiver of the ball from time to time. Liam: I don't think they know how to, because I think teams just go, we can Jamie: They honestly don't. Liam: shut him down. Jamie: he can't, the thing is though, he was getting free. Obviously they missed the field goal as well. Like there was chances for the Jets here, but like the Jets are going to Jets, as I said, they find a way to lose games when they should win them. It's just the history of the New York Jets. Yeah. Liam: Yeah, but it's also Miami. You know what? Jamie: I know. Liam: Not, you know what, to be honest, Jamie, not much to say. think both, most, what? Jamie: Aaron Glenn? Aaron Glenn going? He's got to go soon? It's hot. That seat. The seat's hot now, isn't it? It's got like... Liam: No, what's the point? It's hot for what? They're not even trying. I think the thing is they're not trying to win. Jamie: Not with Gino as quarterback now. What do they expect? six wins? Five wins? Liam: I don't think, no, you know what? I don't mind Gino, but I actually think that the Jets are going to look like a good team for a quarterback to come to. Mason Taylor though, getting a touchdown. That was nice and tight end day. He showed some promise. I mean, they got Sadik, but someone like that coming through. Like I said, we've said like some of these young weapons coming up, Mason Taylor, one for fantasy pickups. Olly Gordon, the second one for fantasy pickups. Caleb, Caleb Douglas won for fantasy pickups, all getting touchdowns in this game. So yeah, but I haven't got much more to say to that. Cooper Jr. Go get him if you can as well. Second hundred year straight hundred yard game also. Anything from you now, Jamie? No, let's move Jamie: Nah, let's move on. Liam: on. it's the Bengals who win a division match 35 points. to 13 against the team of the pod, the Baltimore Ravens, Jamie. Jamie: I, I apologize. I did call it, but what a capitulation from a Baltimore Ravens in that second half, by the way. I, I don't think anybody saw it come in because they managed to lock down Chase Higgins Brown, right? Brilliant first hour from the Ravens. You think, here we go. Right. ASU North is there sort of taking it, know, five and two, but 35 points for those Bengals. in Baltimore. Just shout out in the first half. 35 scored in the second half. Five straight touchdown drives. Joe Burrow was sensational. 250 yards within like, it was literally a blink of an eye. was just every time they just kept cutting to the games, another touchdown, another touchdown, another touchdown. Liam: I thought that I was like, this game's in hand early. And then I looked up and went, what? What's like, what is happening? Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. What has happened? Liam: I mean, so much for the Hendrickson revenge, not that he wanted revenge or needed revenge, but you know. Jamie: No, he got to him once but he's still got the ball off. And that was it. Liam: Yeah, I don't know, the Bengals are probably going, thanks for your services, mate. I haven't got a lot to say about this. This is a strange game. Fair play for fair. Jamie: Great win. Great win for the Bengals. Liam: Yeah. Fair play for the, if the Bengals hadn't have won this game, they'd have been three and three and the Browns, the Steelers and the Ravens would have all been on five wins. This Jamie: Yeah. Liam: without this win. so actually, I think this is a bit of a cup final for the Bengals. Also, it's the first time they've been in this game week and been above a 500 record since guess when? Jamie: Suit, Liam: since the Super Bowl year. You don't want to play the Bengals. You don't want to have to cover Jamie: They've got weapons. Liam: T and Chase for a whole game. You know what, my only two takeaways from this game that I want to just cover before we go. I'm not even going to talk about Derek Henry, obviously not very inspiring, which is maybe a concern for the Ravens, but I think big one for the Ravens, obviously we like Snoop, tenured, experienced, good backup. Too many high profile games for your backup quarterback to go in and have to win. They need Lamar back urgently. Red alert. Wow, wow, wow. They need him. On the Bengal side. I don't know what's going on with the running game. Chase Brown is losing his snaps to P Ryan and you know what? Obviously it's working, but that's just an interesting one to watch. from a fantasy point of view. I don't know when people's trade windows are coming up, but Jamie, think what's it called? There's a podcast I listen to, they say Fart or Shart. I'm going to ask you Fart or Shart, is Chase Brown in a full time share or is he a number one running back? Jamie: He has proved he is another number one running back, right? But if you're Liam: previous to this year. Jamie: previous to this year, yeah, but he's getting less and less and they keep winning games. So if you're the Bengals head coach, Mr. Taylor's going to keep, keep sharing it. P-Ryne of all running backs though to lose your snaps to is mental, but. Liam: I think P Ryan's the wild part of it, isn't it? but yeah. So, but no, Jamie: That's the most wildest I've ever Liam: but yeah, Jamie gets the prediction right. I get the prediction wrong. Doesn't Jamie: That doesn't happen very often, so. Liam: happen. Well, we'll do a mid season review. I am Jamie: Yeah. Liam: up in the predictions. just about anyway, Jamie, it's another one with you and it is the cult who lose to. The Vikings 10 to 16, the only undefeated team left in the NFL. Jamie: Who would have thought that the Minnesota Vikings with Kyla Murray at quarterback six and nine. My weirdest takeaway from this game is that Kyla Murray doesn't want to run. He just wants to stay in the pocket and try and throw it as in I'm just going to throw it to JJ and he's going to catch every single thing could be triple covered in this game. I weirdly thought the Colts were going to do it at one point. I had that horrible like, this isn't looking good like, but Liam: The Colts felt too close to the Vikings for a long part of the game. Jamie: Yeah, even that last drive, but I had no faith in Danny Dimes doing anything. And he threw an interception as was foretold. Do know what? I'm going to pass to you. Do want to cover some Brian Flores stats? Liam: Bloomin' do Jamie, Brian Jamie: you Liam: Flores strikes again. Brian Flores is the man that tells you what he's gonna do and does it so well. You can't stop him. Do you actually know how much Minnesota blitzed Daniel Jones when he did dropbacks? Jamie: Tell the listeners, go on. Liam: 85 % of the time, Jamie: Wow. Liam: it's the highest rate of the next gen stats era. Which is crazy. Jamie: We knew it, we called it. We knew it was going to happen. We knew it was coming and they couldn't stop it. Liam: Mate, he just says, he's a tin and he says, I'm sardines. You open it up and you go, what could this be? And he goes, wham, sardines. And you go, I didn't know it was going to be sardines again. And that's Brian Flores for you, he's like, is it mackerel? Is it halibut? Jamie: You Liam: What other mystery oily fish could I be? You know, bam, sardines. and he gets you every time. Jamie: Well, it's like shooting fish in a barrel, it? Liam: Mate, bruh, yeah, sardines in a barrel. There you go. Jamie: I mean, yeah, four sacks in this game for Brian Flores' defense. I mean, we expected it. They brought it. They got it. And they got their team, the defense got their team another win. Liam: If your defense is holding teams to under 15 points every week, you're going to win a lot of games. Jamie: You have to, yeah. Liam: And my only other thing I want to cover really, some interesting trade rumors around Jonathan Taylor. I would be fuming if I'm a Colts fan. I just don't see how, what are you without Jonathan Taylor? Without JT? Jamie: But didn't they, if they can get, say, let's say a first rounder for him after losing their two first rounders last season, if they get a first rounder back in a rebuild realistically now, like new GM. Liam: only thing that upsets you is, the only thing is you get your first round back, which just gets you the first round back you lost for source. Probably to a good team. So you're getting Jamie: Yeah, that... Yeah. Liam: a worse, so you're your net slightly worse off rather than really worse off, but you don't have JT. I understand Jamie: Yeah, I get what... Liam: though, JT should want to go. Jamie: Go see Yolks. Liam: Go Seahawks. Make Seahawks give up a first round. You can't clearly draft people well in the first round that are running back. Go use your other, send price. I don't care, send price. And the first round to Indy. That's pretty rough on Jamie: realistically, Liam: price. That's rough, but. Jamie: it is, but it's JT. If he's there available for a first rounder and him, off you go. See you later. Liam: See what was going be mad not to do this. Jamie: I don't know what other landing spots are there. Texans, but now they're two and five, so they're gonna trade in division. Trade in division? They won't do that. Can't do that. Liam: I think Texans, yeah, that's true, indivision. I don't know. Anyway, go see Hawks, let's go. Go Hawks! We brought it back to the Hawks, it's a Hawks pod. It's a bucks and a Hawks and a, no, it's not a cat's pod today. on to the next one. It's the Browns who win in Nashville. 27 points. against the spunky Tennessee Titans. He's called 24. The Browns covered to win. it's with me. Sorry, Jamie. Jamie: Did you saw you on it? Liam: I can't say. You know what? We don't need to spend too much time on this one. He who shall not be named the quarterback of the Browns. He just keeps being, you know, productive in a very methodical, deliberate way, which, you know, is actually, think, all you could have hoped for from him this year. And And that's what he's providing. They win another late game. It's another fourth quarter comeback from the Browns. I don't know. That's good. Like he should not be named gets his first running back. Sorry, running touchdown of the season since I think the Texans, which obviously used to be his seat, like a bit of a signature thing outside of that quid chun, Jenkins quid chun. Judkins gosh Jamie somebody's names just shy of 100 yards to touchdowns look like a truck conception he went off this Jamie: Conception. Liam: game I mean we spoke about conception Boston fan and juggins this young core really do look good for the Browns fan and the tight end also nearly 100 yards Bosch need to give a shout out though on the Titans side to Tony Pollard who is Tony Pollard just is a man that's got it. He's like the least sexy winning pick in fantasy football. That's what he is. You get him in at the sixth round and he's an RB one. Just about. Jamie: He's so productive and he's guaranteed carries. guaranteed. he carried the he almost carried the Titans to a win. Cam Wold. Liam: Mmm. Come ward. Jamie: Bless, bless. He had his best game against one of the better defences in the league. Still looks a little bit lost, but like, improvement. Liam: It's weird, but it's one of the better defenses and Cam Ward didn't help. Cam, Cam, killing me. You're so many people's favorites from the latest quarterback series. He's a nice boy. Unfortunately, I think the problem might be he's a boy. Look at that plane photo of A-Rod chains and like the defense. Coward is playing against these people you go down like they're men like men Jamie: I don't remember the last time we threw over 200 yards either, which isn't a good look for a quarterback. Liam: Yeah, I we've been calling out boning. we'll get to boning. That's fine. But we've been calling out boning on that, we? And like, it's Jamie: Yeah. Liam: not a good look. We'll see. I mean, if they get a high draft, if they get high pick in the, in the draft, it's probably, it might be too tempting not to try and move on. Jamie: Really, move on from Khan World already. Liam: I don't know, is the deep, they've got a wide receiver, they've got a running game. They've maybe got a bit of a defense and a defensive coach Jamie: I one wire receiver. Yeah. Liam: that you're to back. So you're saying, we, Jamie: I it. Liam: right. Have you got much to say about this one or can we move? Jamie: I will just give it, I won't say his name because you don't like it, but like that throw to set up that field goal was pretty good. Annoyingly good. Pretty good. Good win. 27-24. Well, not anymore, Liam: Pretty good. As good as you can hope for the highest paid quarterback in the league. Well, he's not anymore, is he? But Jamie: but yeah, he was at one point. Good win for the Browns. Liam: Good, you know what, you know what? That division though, them and the Steelers at the top, you would not have thought that was seven weeks here. Jamie: Does the whole AFC North just make the playoffs this season? Liam: Nah, they're gonna, they're gonna get, they're gonna bump into each other a lot. And I think that's gonna do a lot of damage, they're gonna NFC south each other. yeah. Jamie: Yeah, pretty much. Liam: Cool. So onto the late window. Jamie, is who I believe you like, the Packers, who lose 17 points to maybe America's real team. The Lions who win and go to four and two. Jamie: I like a little bit of both of these. Not going to lie, I like a bit of Dan Campbell. I almost said Josh Jacobs there and that was mental. I definitely don't like a bit of that. Liam: Whoa! Chill out, Jamie. Jamie: I said obviously not to pick him on fantasy. He only got 36 yards, but he did also get a receiving touchdown which actually and then he decided to pray to Well, thank God for the touchdown, which is mental considering the alleged stuff that's been going on but Wow, finally. Well, actually God do we talk about kickers and how important they are because I think we're gonna get onto your worst worst loser of the week, Liam: Think we got it, Jamie? Jamie: but Kickers win games. They score all those points. That's why they're the highest scoring players in the NFL. Adam Vinatieri, right? With the second left, Jake Bates won it for Detroit at home. Great game. Lots of back and forth. Some horrific calls against the Packers in terms of like parsing, not parsing, yeah, parser interference. And also that hit on Jarrogoff, which wasn't even a hit. It was never a rough in the parser call, but we digress. We'll focus on the negative. Trey smack. Trey smack. He even smack the host. He missed it twice. 26 yards, 35. Me and you could make that. Easy, guaranteed. 100%. Maybe not in those conditions. Yeah, it's a bit tough, blah, blah. Liam: For the money I'd bloody make it. Jamie: Yeah, for the millions that Mr. Smack has paid, he probably got a smack after the game for missing those two. Basically cost his team the win, but a great win for the Lions. They started using St. Brown. They started using JMo. Liam: Jamie, I want to say, I said, you start using JMo. Start using Jamie: Can I just shout out? Liam: JMo, spread it some more. Mystical Marshall is telling Jamie: Pen it, pen it. Liam: you how to win. And look what happens. Do you me to stack them out very quickly? Because it's lovely. Jamie: Yeah, go on, start that. Liam: Amon Rasayn Brown, who we love, we love him. Nine receptions, 153 yards. That's what we expected. with no support. Not only did they target into to slur a lot in this game, but while we said JMo, Jamison Williams, high draft pick, very talented. Five receptions, 91 yards, two touchdowns. And actually he was very, very, very close to a third. So that's how you spread it around a bit more. Teams are having to think about JMo now. Jamie: The best route I've seen this season is from Penny Saul, by the way. My goodness. He got JMo Williams open with his run. He took two defenders out of the game with his little sharp movement. I want him to get the ball. I think the pack is overcompensated being like, we are not letting Penny Saul get a touchdown on us. So they put two on him. Little movement. JMo got opened. Sensational from the Detroit Lions. Liam: Sensational. Love it. Onto the next one. And it is the LA Rams, the superstar squad who win 35 points against the Las Vegas Raiders who scored 21 points at home, Allegiant Stadium out in, well, not the desert. I think people think that's Arizona, but Nevada, the strip. Las Vegas. The Rams were favored 4.5 points in this one and they covered. mean, the Rams run back running game was back with a vengeance after a couple of, you know, losing performances just shy of 200 yards, both Kyron Williams and Blake Corum. going off, hitting big. Matt Stafford, peppering it, hitting lots of targets. And I think he set the Rams all time passing touchdown record, which is good. But I was also trying to think of, you know, if I'm not, without going too far back, I'm really trying to think of really impressive Rams quarterback. So actually, Fair play, but it was going to happen at some point. Anyway, Kirk Cousins, he's still, you know, he's bringing Trey Tucker alive in fantasy for us, you know, throwing touchdowns to him. He can just find him on a string on top of his connection with Brock Bowers. N'Kobe Dean, he's been really good for that Raiders defense this year. That all that being said, really the Rams just overpowered this Raiders team. Quite simply put, don't, that's just how it felt. It didn't even feel like a competition in a sense, Jamie. It felt very one-sided. Jamie: It fell over really quickly in that game. We both beat the Raiders in this game. thought they performed against Bills, against the Chiefs, but against the Rams, the Rams had their number right from start to finish. They went for it on fourth down, like on a 50-yard line. They had to because they were losing by 20 points at a time just before the half. Then Rams go and get another touchdown. think, well, that's definitely it over. and then it was basically just a ceremony all the way back to the end, but yeah, Kirk Cousins has already come out, his press conference and said, if I'm not the best person to lead it, then maybe it's time for Mendoza. Liam: Well, this is what I was going to say. mean, ahead of the trade window, when Kirk said that, I mean, fantastic three wins at the beginning of season, buzzing, but now they're sort of coming back. They're still probably ahead and doing better than we thought they was going to be sitting at three and four. What's your thoughts on Mendoza? I do think that Kirk wants to be traded. Because he's definitely got value. Or do you think that he's being pushed internally that Mendoza might start? Or do actually just think he means that? Like, what do you think? Jamie: It's weird because I guess from that experience he's had, already he obviously went to the Falcons and then Penick's come in over him and he had that, obviously then they had an injury. So he come back in quite a weird situation. Whereas here, I think he, mean, from all the videos that I've seen online, like I'll see, take with a pinch of salt, but like him and Mendoza seems to really get on. you know, I think he's, I think Kirk Cunz is actually enjoying this. I know obviously, Liam: Hey! Jamie: you know, no one enjoys losing, but he looks like he's enjoying it. This mentorship. Liam: I think he likes the team Jamie: I think so, Liam: and I think he likes the mentorship. I think he wants to be the man there. Jamie: Yeah, but where'd you go? where, where, Liam: It's frustrating if you're not the man, like you're an NFL level quarterback that has done it everywhere and you keep going to the next base and you're not the man. Jamie: Where would you trade him? Eagles? Liam: Vikings mate. Jamie: Kirk back on the Vicos. I would love that. do you know what? Liam: Kirk on the Vikings! Jamie: I would love to see him on the Vikings again. Liam: I don't know who doesn't Jamie: The thing is, Kyle Murray is just sitting in the pocket. They protect him. Kirk to JJ, Kirk to Addison. Liam: Yeah. Today what? Jamie: Love it. Sign me up. Liam: Kirk, back in purple, couldn't think of anything better. Jamie: I would be good. Imagine if it's his last season, last, last farewell. Liam: Yeah, he's only got a certain amount of time. On to the next game then. And it's the last one of the drive, the two minute drive. And it is the Denver Broncos, mountain stallions who win 30 points to 16 against the Cardinals or Jamie, as I heard it by a six year old boy, this sounds rogue. The Horses versus the Robins, which I quite like that take. It's like Jamie: Quite good. Yeah. Liam: for a young English man. I don't know what other bird it would be except for a Robin. Anyway. So the horse, Jamie: So the horses won this one. Liam: the Horses beat the Robins. Bonyx. Thank you for being an NFL quarterback again. Came back. Jamie: I thought it was dreadful. Liam: Right, Jamie, right. Let's put this into context. We said, Bonyx, can you win another game without throwing 150 yards? He got to 220 yards. We are starting to become an NFL quarterback. Do I mean, let's say that he may need a 60. 62 yards was it touchdown run. Jamie: That was that coverage, by the way, it went man for man Cardinals. They decided, obviously the Broncos are three at the top, one at the bottom. And they just decided to leave the whole entire field open for anybody. I wouldn't have made it obviously by me. You would have 30 miles per Liam: But I would have as we've discussed on the pod, I am. Jamie: hour with this man right here. Rapid. Liam: I am quicker than Debo Samuel. Jamie: Yeah, facts. Liam: Flow me out, Debo, in our ration. Specifically only tomorrow. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: But we said, but Jamie, this what we said. You said like, you said even last week, he can't run. His ankle doesn't look good. So that's what they've, Cardinals have said as well. And he went, I got ya. Like, you see what I mean, Jamie? They were like, you can't. Jamie: Yeah. But like, what's happened? What is it play calling? Like what are we doing? Liam: There's definitely something about the trust in the play calling. They've obviously dialed up more passing attempts. He went 15 of 29 for, like we said, over about 220 yards. And you call out the fact that he can't run anymore. So he's now 220 yards passing. He's rushing as well. I feel like... Jamie: Can I just say that like a hundred of those yards were checked downs. Liam: Yeah, but it's still, it's still more yards. So it's, it's moving in the right Jamie: Yeah, it counts. Liam: direction. It counts. I I, I don't know what to say now. I'm bit thrown because I'm just like, I think that Bo is being held back. Jamie: The fact that he can run because there was plays where like outside of the 62 yard with a whole fields open There was a few plays where he actually ran for the first down. So like he obviously can run It's throwing still looks a bit Maybe it's it's just a play call him. But then the trust like they won 15 15 games last season. I Went surely the trust is there Liam: Yeah. Yeah. And they only didn't win because Bo Nix did his ankle and they had that weird game to go to the Superbowl. So yeah, don't know, at five and two, the Broncos are so in this division with this defense. When Jamie: Joe. Liam: Pat Sertane comes back, they are so in this division with this limited play calling. And I wonder, I just wonder there, Jamie, are they just calling this limited play calling? until someone beats them? Jamie: it's working. They're five and two. without, Liam: It's weird. Jamie: yeah, without redoing, haven't, they found ways to win and they did the exact same last season. They had so many games like this, like 10 games, wasn't it? One score games and one basically, I think nine or even all of them. Like it's just what they do. Yeah. Liam: Yeah. Well, last week, yeah, last year it was 10 one score games they won. Jamie: So like they know they just find a way, they just find a way to win on both sides of the ball. And you know, fair play. mean, I thought the Cardinals Liam: So yeah, yeah. Jamie: could have done more, but the Cardinals for a reason. Liam: I think that's the story of the Broncos though, their defense is making up a lot of the ground and I could celebrate the Seahawks for it so probably should celebrate the Broncos for it. they've got a game changing. They beat the Seahawks, the way that the Seahawks would beat someone and they're and two so they've got one win on the Seahawks. Not that it's the same division, but Jamie: and they were on the road. Liam: and they won on the road again. Jamie: The Cardinals haven't won at home for almost 500 days, but they won on the road. So I won't, I won't take it away from the Broncos. Liam: That's a different issue. But I mean, you know what they got, but what have we say as well? We flip it quickly, do a quick minute on the Cardinals. Now that they've, they've got rid of Marv. Wilson, yeah, he got 55 yards on eight targets. Four catches that is. He is not a wide receiver one, unfortunately. And I think everyone thought he was, but I think when you have this blended two good wide receiver twos and a really good wide receiver three, maybe a rubbish wide receiver two, which is what Bourne is. Sorry, that sounds harsh. I really like Bourne. I picked him up in all my fantasy leagues. I think... Wilson now doesn't have the team around him to get open. And this is a problem for them. Jeremiah Love, not about. So now, who you go, who is Brissette going to to help him? Jamie: LG Say no more. That's it, yeah, the card was lost. Liam: There you go. This team just like the Cardinals will cover them in the offseason, I think, but they're now starting to lose interest to me in the megastar division of that. NFC West and I believe I don't know, this team seems a bit rudderless. Like if you just replace a quarterback, I still think you need a wide receiver one. I know you got Tramiel Bride, but I still think you need a wide receiver one. The defense is middling. Look, they need so much anyway. That is the two minute drive. Good week of football though, lots of surprises. Jamie: great week of football. Lots of underdogs won again. Yeah. Liam: Yeah. And yeah, lots of, do you know what? Terrible for survival, but we'll get there in a minute. And, Jamie: Terrible. Liam: on our predictions, we both went six of 13 predictions correct. So yeah. So that means I'm a little bit ahead of you on the season. I'm 57 out of 104 games. You're 52 out of 104 games. So yeah, I Jamie: We're not very good at this. Liam: think I'm a bit better. And that's all. Jamie: Just, just, we'll see you eight. We'll see you on Thursday's show. Liam: See you all week out. I'll see you at week eight, mate. See you on the next pod. cool. That is the end of the review section. Now, we're going to go into our wild take summaries. So Jamie, do you need a little reminder of what your wild date was? Jamie: No I don't because I actually got it. I got one! Come on! Liam: Say we are MysticBunkey. Jamie: Mr. Manke's turned up. said, I said the Jets are gonna Jets and they did against Miami. Norton 6 Miami come to your back yard. Norton 5 sorry. Norton 5 and Norton 6. Liam: Not in 5. Jamie: Norton 5 sorry, sorry. So 1 and 6 Dolphins next week. You 1 and 5 for now. I said they were gonna get a win and Malik Willis, he got them a win. Well, Olly Gordon got them a win but, and the Jets been terrible but I was right. Liam: That's it. And then I... I was half wrong. I predicted that Bo Nix was going to get the win. Check. Jamie: He did? Yeah. Liam: But again, with less than 150 passing yards, which is what I referenced. So I'm half right. Jamie: I mean if you take off that 50, was it 56 yard screen pass, you basically got it right. Like, Liam: Yeah. Jamie: realistically, like, if you take away his screen he's probably got about 100 yards, 50 yards? Liam: Yeah. And you know what the problem is? Jalen Waddell obviously has not turned up for the Broncos and they can't pass Jamie: Wow. Liam: to anybody. So and Sutton's been quiet. So yeah, anyway, anyway, that's the end of the Wildtakes. There'll be more Wildtakes coming on the next pod. Onto our winners and losers. Jamie, I'm gonna kick us off with the biggest winners of the week. And it's exactly who you expect me to say, and it's Tampa Bay. It's Baker. It's Bucky. It's Todd Bowles. It's Yahya Diaby. It is the books. It is fire the cannons. It is Tampa Bay. They are my winners of the week. They're back. And in my book, their favorites are in the NFC South still. Jamie: My winners of the week are the Seattle's... Sorry, sorry, yeah. Liam: You meant to be happy about winning as Jamie. You can be sad about the Panthers later. Jamie: No, I'm buzzing for you. It's been a hard season, you know, but you've won your Cup final, so a fair play to the Bucks. Todd Bowle forever. Well, I was going to say about the Bucks winning, fair enough. I'm really happy for you. Liam: Don't worry, Jamie, you just go to your winner. Jamie: I'm gonna, I'm gonna do a double. I'm gonna go Seattle Seahawks defense. Liam: Jamie, you stole that from me, but I love it. Jamie: I actually forgot who I was gonna pick, but I'm just gonna go Seattle Seahawks defense. Cause like, cares? They turned up, Kenny Falk was on a mad one this season. And they stifled, they stopped my homes as well. Mental. I could, do you know Liam: Under 40 yards. See ya Kenny. Jamie: what? I went to bed thinking. I've got Ken Falk in one of my fantasy leagues. I need like nine points. Easy. I'm Liam: Easy. Jamie: going to win again. I lost. So that also is probably losing the week. probably my fantasy team. But when is the week? Brilliant. Brilliant from South Defense. So both Williams teams. What a week for you, by the way. Maybe. Liam: Winner winner, check us out on the YouTube. I need to put the books and the Seattle jersey up more often. That's what it is. Jamie: I think you're the winner of the week. Liam: Consensus winner, ding, ding, Liam Marshall, the mystic man himself. Right, and Jamie, on to our losers of the week. Jamie: Cameron on a Panthers. It was a private game. they failed it it was this is mental this is the worst panthers performance across offense special teams and defense that i've ever seen watching the carolina panthers the worst performance ever ever Liam: You're right, Jamie. Panthers in the bin. And my Jamie: in the bin. Liam: losers of the week. Well, not losers. I've gone for one. Trace Mack, missing two field goals under 40 yards. One of them under, under 30 yards, missing a less than a 30 yard field goal. I saw a video on TikTok today. It's people trying to kick an American football for the first time, getting 25 yard field goals. They're not even athletic Jamie: It's go be hot. Liam: people. They're strange. They're weirdos off the, no, they're not weirdos, sorry. They are people off the streets. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Just trying to kick a ball in long grass and without boots on. like 90 % of people got it from that distance. So, Trace Mack. I'm not, I don't want anyone to lose a job, like, man, that was bad. That's bad. Right, onto our last segment, Jamie, and it's our fantasy pickups of the week. Who have you got for us today? Jamie: going rogue coming off of their first win in the season. Quarterback making plays. I'm going Milly Willis for the Miami Dolphins. He's only he's Liam: Oooh! Jamie: only rocked by 6.3 % of people, right? 26 points he got against New York Jets. Above average defense New York Jets. Next, right? Yes, New England at home. Miami love a win against New England at home, don't Then Detroit Lions, that's secondary. Malik Willis might have some fun against those Detroit Lions. And then they've got the Colts. Those three games, they could put up a good amount of points. So Malik Willis is my first fantasy pickup that probably no one else wants. Liam: I did not expect that Jamie. I did not expect that at all. So well, I'm going to go for a more obvious one. It's going to be Caleb. Gosh, going to end the pod Miami heavy. I'm going for a pickup of Caleb Douglas. We've been saying since the beginning of the season that someone on this dolphins offense is going to appear. We've been saying that some think has to work its way up through the mud. A diamond. Caleb Douglas. We're to get to Ali Gordon as well, but Caleb Douglas only rostered in 19 % of leagues on Sleeper. How many other people are still going to be out there on waivers that can get you 20 points in a game? He's not been playing that much because of like, you know, injuries. So he scored over 10 points in the first week of the season. This is only his third game that he's registered fantasy points. So he is getting a double digit fantasy points on two out of three games he's played. The game that he didn't, he played against San Francisco. So Caleb Douglas, is my number one target to pick up, especially when you need a wide receiver with a ceiling to pick up this week. Jamie: Number two pick up is another quarterback who I may or may not have slated and laughed at the fact he was starting last week against one of the best defenses in the NFL way at Texans is JJ McCarthy. He's doubled the player that I thought he was from nine to 18. He could be the man, right? He might have only scored 10 points this week. He didn't turn the ball over, right? And realistically, if you want him for a long term, I think he's the man, right? I think he's the option. If you're playing keeper, he could be your starting quarterback for the long term position. I think JJ McCarthy could be, could be the man. Don't ask me how much James has paid me by the way this week. Liam: May Jamie you're drinking the blue juice. I don't know what to say. The big Jamie: think I am, yeah. Liam: blue juice. And then my, my last fantasy pickup this week. Well, not last, but it's going to be Devin Singletary. You might be thinking Liam, they've got Tyrone Tracy. They've got Kam Skattaboo, but Devin Singletary. This was his fourth fantasy scoring game of the season. They're going into the bye next week, so he's likely to not get picked up if he's not already, but potentially a drop candidate. Kam Skataboo, hamstring scare. Tyrone Tracy actually had to retire from the game, who was my fantasy pick up last week, with a hamstring injury. These things can linger. Devin Singletree, half PPR, scoring 13 points this week. Go get him because somebody in this giant backfield is going to get more of a workload at some point. And Devin Singletree, Singletary, he's only picked up in 4 % of leagues. Go get him while you can. That is a sleeper pickup. There you go. Not the app. People might actually not need to pick him up. Jamie: As in they sleep on it. Yeah. Liam: Yeah, so cool. Have you got any more Jamie before we wrap up? Jamie: Yes, I'm going to do this for you. Okay, so this is my gift of week seven because Panthers have just been gifting Bucks loads of stuff this week. So it's the Bucks defense guys, they picked up in 17%. 17%. I have never seen for a while a defense scoring 28 points. In fantasy, 28 points. Touchdown, 200 exceptions, five sacks and more and more reducing Bryce Young baby to 160 odd yards. was a bad day, bad, bad day, but wow. fantastic. only team to outscore Bucks defense this season is the Vikings on fantasy. Liam: Love that. Jamie: So there you go, back to defense. They got Falcons as well next week. Could be some more points. Liam: Yeah, mate, could be so old-wise. Cool. Sir Jamie. And another week in the, that's week seven. Another week in the bag. Another good one. Now, after the week before, which I thought was the worst week of this season, Jamie: Mm. Liam: not that I didn't love it, but I actually thought that this was the best. Full slated week. The games, the outcomes, this week was my favorite week so far. Jamie: I hated almost every second of it, but I'm glad you had fun. Liam: Did you go to bed after the early window, just crying yourself to sleep? Jamie: Yeah, but my phone just kept buzzing with abuse. So I have dished Liam: Bye. Jamie: out quite a lot this season, so I do deserve it. I will take it. Liam: Well, mate, you can know it, Jamie. You could always be a Chargers fan. Jamie: Wow, feel I'm actually so much happier now. Come on. Liam: So yeah, yeah, we've cheered him up. You know what, I wanna end with this. Have you ever heard of this happened in one game? One team got five sacks, they got a muffed punt recovery, a strip sack for a touchdown, a blocked PAT, two interceptions and 254 rushing yards. And now we've made Jamie more depressed again. Jamie: and the quarterback only got 64 passing yards. Liam: That's all you needed. Cool. There Jamie: You Liam: we go. Jamie, I've had a good one. See you on the next part. Peace and love. Jamie: Bye.
