- 0:18Speaker 4: This is America.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Richie V, you're on the air with The Nation.
- 0:22Speaker 4: This is America with your host, Rich Valdez.
- 0:26Speaker 3: What's up, America? I am Rich Valdez. Valdez with an
- 0:29Speaker 3: S at Rich Valdez on all of the social media.
- 0:32Speaker 3: You know the number here, 877-VALDEZ-1 if you want to
- 0:35Speaker 3: give me a call. And I had the opportunity to
- 0:38Speaker 3: fill in for the great one, Mark Levin. I'll be
- 0:40Speaker 3: bringing you some excerpts from that for this Labor Day special.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Looking back at some of the clips that we've had
- 0:46Speaker 3: to discuss. Of course, I'm taking off the last couple
- 0:50Speaker 3: of weeks of the summer period. to do all sorts
- 0:53Speaker 3: of fun things. I'll be visiting some family in Puerto Rico,
- 0:57Speaker 3: traveling all around the island. You'll be hearing about that
- 0:59Speaker 3: when I return from my vacation on the 9th of September. Plus,
- 1:04Speaker 3: we're reflecting on all these different things we did while
- 1:07Speaker 3: I was on vacation, like filling in for the great
- 1:09Speaker 3: one Mark Levin. So I've got more of that coming
- 1:11Speaker 3: up straight ahead. Plus, you don't want to miss my
- 1:14Speaker 3: interview with myself. And I've got a really good special
- 1:20Speaker 3: treat for you, I'm going to say. a surprise guest
- 1:23Speaker 3: on the Lindsay Clancy stuff. We're going to get into that.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Of course, we're also going to discuss political considerations in
- 1:31Speaker 3: Puerto Rico, which have a lot to do with everything
- 1:34Speaker 3: that's happening in the White House as well, as well
- 1:36Speaker 3: as everything else that's been going on in America at night.
- 1:40Speaker 3: So keep it locked right here because we will continue
- 1:43Speaker 3: our conversation. And we're going to talk about Jelly Roll, right?
- 1:47Speaker 3: His clash with President Trump. We're going to talk about
- 1:50Speaker 3: what's going on with AOC and her whining about affordability
- 1:54Speaker 3: as well as people leaving these big cities because things
- 1:59Speaker 3: are so bad. And I want to get your thoughts, calls,
- 2:02Speaker 3: and opinions on everything under the sun as well. Lindsay Clancy,
- 2:07Speaker 3: the upcoming Republican convention. There's so much to discuss and
- 2:12Speaker 3: so little time. Let's get this thing rocking and rolling
- 2:15Speaker 3: on this special Labor Day flashback edition of Rich Valdez.
- 2:19Speaker 3: This is America. And I want to get to your calls.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Let's see, where do we go? We're going to go
- 2:24Speaker 3: to Grace in Nashville, Tennessee. Grace, go for it.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Hey, I got to confess, I am a refugee from
- 2:31Speaker 5: New York, but I'm loving it in Tennessee where we
- 2:33Speaker 5: have voter ID. And there are plenty of conservative-thinking people
- 2:39Speaker 5: in Nashville. They have the log cabin Republicans, young Republicans,
- 2:44Speaker 5: and all over the state. And I think we're going
- 2:46Speaker 5: to get a Republican elected in Memphis this election and
- 2:50Speaker 5: get rid of Steve Cohen.
- 2:52Speaker 3: You know what? I'm happy to hear that. All hope
- 2:55Speaker 3: is not lost. I've only been to Nashville once, and
- 2:59Speaker 3: I had a great time. And that was my consensus, right?
- 3:02Speaker 3: I thought, man, this is a pretty conservative town. And,
- 3:06Speaker 3: you know, I talked to my buddy, Sean Farrah. She
- 3:07Speaker 3: tells me the same thing. It's a pretty conservative town.
- 3:11Speaker 3: And I love it. I will say, though, you know,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I start to look at things from afar and I go, man,
- 3:16Speaker 3: this is what's happening in New York happening over there.
- 3:18Speaker 3: And I'm glad that's not the case. Thank you, Grace.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I appreciate your call and your thoughts on this. Let
- 3:25Speaker 3: me see. Let us continue. We also have Catherine on
- 3:28Speaker 3: the line. We're going to go to her right now.
- 3:29Speaker 3: But Kim, I think, was still hanging in there. Let's
- 3:32Speaker 3: go to Kim in Hebron, Indiana. Kim, you're on with
- 3:35Speaker 3: Rich Valdez, Mark Levin Show.
- 3:38Speaker 6: Hi.
- 3:39Speaker 7: So, you know, I listen to all this crazy madness
- 3:42Speaker 7: about the Democrats and whatever Trump does, they just try
- 3:46Speaker 7: and stop him, right? He wants to, you know, put
- 3:48Speaker 7: a ballroom and they file, you know, legal action against
- 3:53Speaker 7: him for everything. Well, Trump was a Democrat. And I
- 3:57Speaker 7: would like someone to ask the Democrats, politicians or the news,
- 4:03Speaker 7: the fake news or a damage crack voter. If Trump
- 4:08Speaker 7: would have run in 2016 as a Democrat, as a
- 4:12Speaker 7: Democrat with the same policies, would they have voted for him? Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You know, that's a great question. I think, I think
- 4:21Speaker 3: some would, and I'll tell you this. I think the
- 4:23Speaker 3: MAGA coalition is broadly made up of, um, Democrats in,
- 4:29Speaker 3: in many ways, right? Uh, The blue collar steel worker, plumber, electrician, carpenter,
- 4:35Speaker 3: all these different union trades, steam fitter, pipe fitter, you
- 4:40Speaker 3: name it, auto workers. There are so many teamsters that
- 4:46Speaker 3: even if it wasn't outright endorsed Trump, endorsed Trump and
- 4:49Speaker 3: voted for Trump. They're with Trump. That is a given.
- 4:54Speaker 3: The MAGA movement is a broad coalition that really brought
- 4:57Speaker 3: people together. from many different places, including Bobby Kennedy, right?
- 5:01Speaker 3: And everybody that he represented in that race. So I
- 5:04Speaker 3: think you're right that there is a lot of support
- 5:07Speaker 3: there that goes across the aisle. Whether the media would
- 5:11Speaker 3: admit that or not, of course not. I don't think
- 5:13Speaker 3: that would happen. But Kim, let me ask you a
- 5:16Speaker 3: question because I've had a couple of women on the
- 5:19Speaker 3: line and women are always the deciding factor in elections lately,
- 5:23Speaker 3: at least according to the fake news media. And I
- 5:26Speaker 3: want to ask you, What is the number one issue
- 5:29Speaker 3: for you heading into the midterms right now?
- 5:34Speaker 7: The number one issue for me is the economy. And
- 5:40Speaker 7: I'm very nervous about this Iran war and people associating
- 5:45Speaker 7: the crisis to it. So I've been driving around, I
- 5:49Speaker 7: drive around Chicago for work and they have signs with
- 5:53Speaker 7: Trump billboards with Trump's picture on it and gas prices
- 5:58Speaker 7: at $ 2. 98 before the war and gas prices at, well,
- 6:03Speaker 7: in Chicago, in Illinois, they have all those state taxes.
- 6:07Speaker 6: At $ 4. 98.
- 6:07Speaker 7: Yeah, $ 4. 98.
- 6:07Speaker 8: So I'm nervous that.
- 6:08Speaker 7: People are going to associate taxes this war with the
- 6:18Speaker 7: state of the economy, which was inflated by Biden.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yeah. And honestly, that is what they do best, right?
- 6:26Speaker 3: They use misdirection and all of their media assets to
- 6:30Speaker 3: try and pull that off. Now, on the other side
- 6:32Speaker 3: of that messaging battle, you've got the Republicans and conservatives
- 6:36Speaker 3: that are out there trying to explain the major difference
- 6:41Speaker 3: between socialism and capitalism and really draw the contrast between
- 6:46Speaker 3: the influx or growth, right, of Democrat socialists that are
- 6:51Speaker 3: winning elections in key parts of the country. Feel free
- 6:55Speaker 3: to be honest. Nobody knows what you look like, where
- 6:56Speaker 3: you live. We just know you're from Hebron, Indiana, and
- 6:58Speaker 3: your name is Kim. But tell us your thought. Which
- 7:01Speaker 3: one of those messages do you think is the winner?
- 7:03Speaker 3: Trashing Trump over the economy or trashing the socialists over
- 7:07Speaker 3: being socialists?
- 7:08Speaker 7: Given, unfortunately, given that the Democrats have media dominance, I
- 7:15Speaker 7: think that the trashing Trump is going to be the
- 7:18Speaker 7: larger or the more winning message, even though I personally
- 7:23Speaker 7: think capitalism over socialism is. Now, I also have a
- 7:27Speaker 7: 17-year-old son, and I just want to tell you this.
- 7:32Speaker 7: I'm in a little small town, 17-year-old son. Him, he
- 7:34Speaker 7: said 95% of his– he's in high school– They are Republican.
- 7:43Speaker 7: So the next generation coming up, I have that I'm raising, although, well,
- 7:50Speaker 7: I should be raising Granton. Now I had a child old.
- 7:54Speaker 7: But this next generation coming up, they're seeing through the BS. And,
- 8:00Speaker 7: you know, he actually he's 18. He can vote. So
- 8:04Speaker 7: they're all seeing through the BS, and that's the one
- 8:08Speaker 7: stated grace I have.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I love it when all hope is not lost. Kim,
- 8:14Speaker 3: I thank you for that. I appreciate your candor. Let's
- 8:17Speaker 3: go back to Catherine Ann calling us from New York.
- 8:20Speaker 3: I left you hanging before. Forgive me. Catherine, go right ahead.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I know you wanted to bring something up about a
- 8:26Speaker 3: current bill that was signed. Go right ahead.
- 8:28Speaker 9: Americans pray the rosary every day to our blessed Mother
- 8:32Speaker 9: Mary because Maura Healy, the governor of Massachusetts, signed a
- 8:38Speaker 9: bill allowing mothers to get abortions in the ninth month
- 8:41Speaker 9: of pregnancy. And this is not only a disgrace to
- 8:46Speaker 9: the aborting of a baby in the ninth month, but
- 8:49Speaker 9: the chances of the mother dying are about 70%. And
- 8:54Speaker 9: I want to say one more thing. I love Trump
- 8:56Speaker 9: as a person and I love Trump As a friend
- 8:59Speaker 9: and as a president. And Trump is absolutely correct about
- 9:04Speaker 9: the voting, mailing votings.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 6: It is so easy.
- 9:09Speaker 9: I could send out 20 envelopes from my house.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Who's going to know?
- 9:14Speaker 9: Who's going to know who's who?
- 9:16Speaker 3: Who's going to know if it's you sending the envelope, right?
- 9:19Speaker 6: Right.
- 9:20Speaker 9: I mean, listen, I'm a paralegal for 30 years, and
- 9:23Speaker 9: mail is my thing.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Trust me.
- 9:25Speaker 2: 30 years?
- 9:25Speaker 3: You sound like you're 18.
- 9:27Speaker 9: Well, you know what? That's because I believe in God,
- 9:29Speaker 9: and I pray my rosary every day of my life,
- 9:32Speaker 9: and I live a Christian life, and I love Trump.
- 9:34Speaker 9: What more can I tell you?
- 9:35Speaker 3: Catherine, let me ask you the same question I just
- 9:37Speaker 3: asked in Indiana, which was she said that when she's
- 9:41Speaker 3: driving around, she sees these ads that they're trying to
- 9:43Speaker 3: attach Trump to the increased spending and blame it on
- 9:47Speaker 3: the Iran war. And when it comes to gasoline, clearly
- 9:51Speaker 3: that's a given. But when it comes to everything else,
- 9:54Speaker 3: not so much, at least in my opinion. What's your
- 9:56Speaker 3: thought on who's going to win the messaging war completely?
- 10:01Speaker 3: this fall with the midterms? Will we win with our
- 10:05Speaker 3: message that capitalism beats socialism and how dangerous that can be?
- 10:10Speaker 3: Just look at Zoran Mamdani in New York City. Or
- 10:13Speaker 3: do they win saying, look at Trump and his horrible
- 10:16Speaker 3: war in Iran and what it's doing to the country?
- 10:19Speaker 3: Your thoughts.
- 10:19Speaker 9: OK, we will win because the war in Iran is
- 10:23Speaker 9: is was needed and necessary because they don't they believe
- 10:27Speaker 9: in killing women for for any reason. They're they're not
- 10:30Speaker 9: they're not civilized. OK, we had to do it. Every
- 10:33Speaker 9: war that Trump has has done.
- 10:36Speaker 6: So far and won.
- 10:36Speaker 9: It's amazing. He's amazing.
- 10:39Speaker 6: He's a superstar.
- 10:41Speaker 9: He hits everything out of the park. I loved Donald Trump.
- 10:44Speaker 9: I love you. I love your faith and I love
- 10:47Speaker 9: your intellect and I love your instincts. And we are
- 10:49Speaker 9: going to win because the inflation and the prices had
- 10:54Speaker 9: nothing to do with Trump whatsoever. And no matter who
- 10:57Speaker 9: is president, the prices were going up because. That issue
- 11:01Speaker 9: is due to corporations versus mom and pop businesses. That's
- 11:05Speaker 9: why the prices are high. It has nothing to do
- 11:07Speaker 9: with Trump, nothing to do with war. It has to
- 11:10Speaker 9: do with corporations. We need to get corporations to donate
- 11:14Speaker 9: more food and resources to the little people, the people
- 11:18Speaker 9: who can't get jobs in the corporations who don't have
- 11:21Speaker 9: the perfect A college degrees.
- 11:24Speaker 5: The little people.
- 11:25Speaker 9: But other than that, I love America.
- 11:27Speaker 6: I love corporations.
- 11:28Speaker 9: I just think we should use corporations to our our benefit.
- 11:33Speaker 9: You know, just listen, everybody help out.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Like, you know.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 3: And I mean, what I'll say is, I mean, I
- 11:38Speaker 3: don't know that we can you know, we can ask
- 11:40Speaker 3: for anything.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Right.
- 11:41Speaker 3: We could say, hey, you need to give food to
- 11:43Speaker 3: the little people. But I think that the counter to
- 11:45Speaker 3: that is going to be we need the economy to
- 11:48Speaker 3: be robust so that the little people can move forward,
- 11:51Speaker 3: just like they did in the first Trump administration. And
- 11:53Speaker 3: I think Trump is facing an uphill battle with so
- 11:57Speaker 3: much of what he's trying to do economically, A, because
- 12:00Speaker 3: of pushback from the left, but mainly, B, the damage
- 12:05Speaker 3: that was done in the last four years where we
- 12:07Speaker 3: didn't have him.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Right.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I mean, it's an incredible yeoman's task to undo so
- 12:12Speaker 3: much of that damage. So I agree with you. Listen,
- 12:14Speaker 3: I love Trump. And I think that he's the man
- 12:17Speaker 3: for the job and he's doing the right job. And
- 12:20Speaker 3: this action in Iran is absolutely necessary, and that job
- 12:25Speaker 3: must be completed. My compliment to the president is his
- 12:32Speaker 3: steadfast commitment to making sure he does the right thing,
- 12:36Speaker 3: because this is, I'd say, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to right
- 12:40Speaker 3: the wrongs that were done in Beirut and by so
- 12:43Speaker 3: many other things that have come at the hands of
- 12:46Speaker 3: the mullahs. Catherine Ann, thank you for your call. Shout
- 12:49Speaker 3: out to everybody listening in New York. And I take
- 12:52Speaker 3: a pause right here. We come back, your calls, and
- 12:54Speaker 3: a couple of other things I got up my sleeve. Remember,
- 12:56Speaker 3: in the next hour, we're going to get into a
- 12:58Speaker 3: bunch of things. And maybe this hour, maybe next hour,
- 13:01Speaker 3: I'll tell you a little bit about that story, that
- 13:03Speaker 3: time that AOC ran away from me on Fifth Avenue.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Don't go anywhere.
- 13:08Speaker 4: This is America. This is America. He's got the best
- 13:21Speaker 4: head of hair in podcasting. This is America with Rich Valdez.
- 13:29Speaker 3: All right, amigos, welcome back. Now, by now you've heard
- 13:32Speaker 3: the name Hasan Piker, right? Hasan Piker is this Twitch streamer.
- 13:39Speaker 3: He's very, very famous, especially on the left. He's said
- 13:42Speaker 3: a lot of very incendiary things. And he's known for
- 13:47Speaker 3: palling around with a lot of the... the extreme left
- 13:51Speaker 3: in our country. Most recently, Abdulrahman El-Sayed, right? And I
- 13:58Speaker 3: say it like that again at his request. So, Abdulrahman El-Sayed,
- 14:07Speaker 3: he says he's not moderating his position on Israel. He's
- 14:11Speaker 3: just trying to pull the wool over your eyes, right?
- 14:13Speaker 3: He's basically saying that El-Sayed is a fake phony fraud.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Check this out.
- 14:18Speaker 10: There are going to be a lot of people who
- 14:20Speaker 10: are already questioning Abdullah Syed's sincerity on these issues that
- 14:27Speaker 10: will then turn around and say, oh, he's he's, you know,
- 14:32Speaker 10: He's moderating his position on Israel, all this stuff.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I don't think he is. OK, I will say this.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I am literally the person that is being dangled.
- 14:42Speaker 10: And I'm going to tell you once again, he's not
- 14:44Speaker 10: moderating on his his perspective on Israel or anything like that.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So he's not moderating his position on Israel or anything
- 14:52Speaker 3: like that. Now, I took aim at Josh Gottheimer, the
- 14:56Speaker 3: congressman earlier, because he happens to be my congressman and.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I think that he's nothing more than a pro-Israel AOC.
- 15:07Speaker 3: And I guess that scores him a couple of points.
- 15:11Speaker 3: But he says there's no place for Piker or the
- 15:14Speaker 3: DSA in the Democrat Party. And I wonder, is he
- 15:19Speaker 3: doing the same thing, not moderating his position, just talking
- 15:22Speaker 3: a lot of jazz like El Sayed? Listen to this.
- 15:25Speaker 6: I think.
- 15:26Speaker 1: The pressure is real on Assad. He said he's not
- 15:29Speaker 1: going to campaign with him. I think the next step
- 15:31Speaker 1: is to condemn him. And I think we've just all
- 15:33Speaker 1: have to be clear as Democrats that there's no place
- 15:36Speaker 1: for this kind of hatred in our party, this anti-American hatred.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And we've got to stand up to it. And frankly,
- 15:42Speaker 1: just like I've said very clearly. We've got to make
- 15:44Speaker 1: it clear that the DSA, the socialists, are not Democrats.
- 15:48Speaker 1: They're attempting to hijack the party, but they're not welcome
- 15:51Speaker 1: in the party. And they're welcome to go do their
- 15:54Speaker 1: own thing and have their own views and have their
- 15:56Speaker 1: own party. But, you know, what's clear is some of
- 15:59Speaker 1: their views and their approach is not welcome in the
- 16:02Speaker 1: Democratic Party, just like the fact that, frankly, Hassan Piker
- 16:06Speaker 1: and his views are not welcome in the Democratic Party.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Now, no offense to Congressman Gottheimer. But can you pick
- 16:12Speaker 3: out the truth that was spoken in anything he just said?
- 16:15Speaker 3: He just said that the Democrat Socialists of America are
- 16:19Speaker 3: not welcome in the Democrat Party. Forgive me. Aren't they
- 16:23Speaker 3: the ones running the Democrat Party? Isn't Hakeem Jeffries beholden
- 16:28Speaker 3: to these people? Don't they primary and beat every last
- 16:32Speaker 3: traditional Democrat? Let me get this straight. Josh Gottheimer, who
- 16:36Speaker 3: is a pro-Israel Democrat, he says that they The DSA
- 16:42Speaker 3: have no place in the Democrat Party. Yet the entirety,
- 16:47Speaker 3: minus Gottheimer and Fetterman and four other guys, are anti-Israel.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Make that make sense, sir. You yourself know that El-Sayed
- 16:56Speaker 3: hates Israel and so many others. Yet you're here trying
- 17:00Speaker 3: to normalize him, saying that, no, he's not going to
- 17:03Speaker 3: be with Piker. How dumb do you think people are?
- 17:07Speaker 3: You don't think they could see through that? Come on.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Por favor, is all I could say to that.
- 17:13Speaker 7: Please.
- 17:14Speaker 3: That's one of the silliest things I've ever heard. It
- 17:17Speaker 3: really is. I was going to play the other Gottheimer,
- 17:19Speaker 3: but honestly, you see, this is far-fetched effery, for lack
- 17:25Speaker 3: of a better word. It's Friday night. I can't, right?
- 17:29Speaker 3: I mean, this is a nonsensical argument saying that the
- 17:32Speaker 3: DSA has no place in the Democrat Party. You're one
- 17:34Speaker 3: of five people. But think that the rest of your
- 17:38Speaker 3: party is rolling out the red carpet for them. Have
- 17:41Speaker 3: you heard of Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib and the
- 17:46Speaker 3: rest of the squad? You lost a handful, right? You
- 17:49Speaker 3: lost Crockett. You lost Jamal Bowman. But those are newcomers.
- 17:54Speaker 3: But the core of your squad is there. Oh, well,
- 17:57Speaker 3: we lost. Did we lose the bald one, Mr.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Producer?
- 18:00Speaker 3: I forget her name. Forgive me. Ayanna Pressley. Is she out? Now,
- 18:05Speaker 3: she's still there, too, right? So, yeah. Yes, Cori Bush,
- 18:07Speaker 3: another newcomer that was short-lived. So, listen, they rolled the
- 18:12Speaker 3: dice in some areas, and they were able to beat them.
- 18:14Speaker 3: And thank God they were. But let's make no mistake, right?
- 18:18Speaker 3: Let's make no mistake, right? In Virginia, Spanberger, the governor,
- 18:24Speaker 3: Two years ago or four years ago when she ran,
- 18:26Speaker 3: she said, I don't want any help from AOC. Her
- 18:28Speaker 3: and her defund the police is going to be hurtful
- 18:30Speaker 3: to my campaign. This time around, she said, hey, let's
- 18:33Speaker 3: do a fundraiser with AOC, a rally. So forgive me,
- 18:39Speaker 3: Congressman Gottheimer. Forgive me, truly. I think the words you said,
- 18:43Speaker 3: they didn't add up for me. Anyway, I'm not here
- 18:47Speaker 3: to beat up Josh Gottheimer. I'm here to make sense
- 18:49Speaker 3: of this, right? We need 100 guys like Josh Gottheimer.
- 18:53Speaker 3: to bring some normalcy to the Democrat Party. And saying
- 18:56Speaker 3: that the DSA has no place is a start. But
- 18:59Speaker 3: it's got to make sense. They're running the show. All right, amigos,
- 19:02Speaker 3: we've got calls. Jimmy, Curtis, Joy, and so many others.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Keep it locked right here. The big golden hour is
- 19:08Speaker 3: coming up. I am Rich Valdez. We're going to be
- 19:10Speaker 3: talking about my showdown with AOC on Fifth Avenue in
- 19:14Speaker 3: New York City some years ago. For those of you
- 19:16Speaker 3: who haven't heard that story, I'll share. Plus, breaking news
- 19:18Speaker 3: about Trump, United States, and Venezuela. Don't go anywhere. Valdez.
- 19:24Speaker 4: This is America.
- 19:26Speaker 3: What's up America? I am Rich Valdez filling in for
- 19:30Speaker 3: the great one Mark Levin. That is Valdez with an
- 19:32Speaker 3: S at Rich Valdez on all of the social media.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Check out my show. This is America with Rich Valdez.
- 19:42Speaker 3: You can get that wherever you get it. It's free
- 19:43Speaker 3: to subscribe and I urge you to do that. Follow
- 19:45Speaker 3: me for free as well on social media. Why not
- 19:47Speaker 3: join the party? Welcome. Thanks for being here. If you're
- 19:50Speaker 3: just joining us in hour number three of this wonderful broadcast,
- 19:53Speaker 3: this evening town hall across America, I invite you to
- 19:59Speaker 3: join us. I want to hear from you. I want
- 20:00Speaker 3: to talk about a number of things. We've talked about
- 20:02Speaker 3: a number of things this evening, right? I started off
- 20:05Speaker 3: with talking about life and death, right? Because I believe
- 20:08Speaker 3: that this next election is life and death. It's truly
- 20:11Speaker 3: about good and evil. And I guess that sounds hyperbolic,
- 20:16Speaker 3: maybe a little bit too intense, but the reality is
- 20:20Speaker 3: it's never been so clear, right? We've never seen so
- 20:24Speaker 3: many people support that which is evil to the point
- 20:29Speaker 3: that it's insanity. What do I mean? I mean, we're, Thankfully,
- 20:35Speaker 3: seeing some members of the Democrat Party push back on
- 20:38Speaker 3: the Democrat Socialists of America because of their hate for Israel,
- 20:42Speaker 3: because of their love of communism or sympathy for communism,
- 20:47Speaker 3: if you will. These are things that are destructive, right?
- 20:50Speaker 3: When people say that communism has claimed the lives of
- 20:55Speaker 3: so many historically, it's not hyperbole. That's fact. It's a
- 21:00Speaker 3: matter of the historical record. These are things that we're
- 21:03Speaker 3: facing right now. You know, I go to work and
- 21:06Speaker 3: I have a studio on 47th and Broadway overlooking the steps,
- 21:11Speaker 3: the big red steps that say TKTS and Times Square,
- 21:14Speaker 3: New York City, right? 1560 Broadway.
- 21:19Speaker 4: And I.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Look out there and I see a city that I
- 21:23Speaker 3: grew up in Brooklyn, New York. I was born in Brooklyn,
- 21:25Speaker 3: Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. I look at what's going on. I
- 21:29Speaker 3: did grow up in New Jersey. I moved to Jersey
- 21:30Speaker 3: when I was 12, but not to give you, you know,
- 21:33Speaker 3: an hour-long soliloquy on my biography. But I'm just saying,
- 21:37Speaker 3: New York City is not what it used to be.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And this predates Zoran Mamdani, right? He's really the result
- 21:45Speaker 3: of the decay really taking root in the city, right?
- 21:51Speaker 3: The end of the era of Rudy Giuliani, where he
- 21:54Speaker 3: was truly fighting the good fight, good versus evil, right?
- 21:59Speaker 3: Taking on the mob, taking on FARC, The Colombian terrorists,
- 22:06Speaker 3: Fuerzas Armadas, right? What do they stand for? Revolucionarios Colombianos.
- 22:13Speaker 2: FARC.
- 22:15Speaker 3: That was the end of that era. And after that,
- 22:18Speaker 3: you had Bloomberg who became, you know, he had a
- 22:20Speaker 3: couple of good years. Then he went soft. Then he
- 22:24Speaker 3: abused stop and frisk. And next thing you know, we
- 22:27Speaker 3: don't have stop and frisk.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Boom.
- 22:30Speaker 3: So then what happens? Then that ushers in the era
- 22:34Speaker 3: of Bill de Blasio, Eric Adams, and now Zoran Mamdani.
- 22:41Speaker 3: This is a horrific thing for the city of New York.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Yet here we are. And President Trump often talks about
- 22:53Speaker 3: the gift that this is. And I get where he's
- 22:56Speaker 3: coming from, right? Because if people take a look at
- 22:59Speaker 3: how bad things are going in New York, They can say, wow,
- 23:03Speaker 3: we don't want that in our part of town. But
- 23:04Speaker 3: I think, sadly, too many people don't realize that this
- 23:07Speaker 3: is about life and death. This is about good and evil.
- 23:10Speaker 3: They don't realize that that doesn't just stay contained to
- 23:14Speaker 3: New York. Some people have the gall. Yeah, I'm talking
- 23:18Speaker 3: to you in Florida to say things like, look, if
- 23:20Speaker 3: you're going to move to Florida, don't bring your voting habits.
- 23:23Speaker 3: What do you what do you think you're saying? Of course,
- 23:27Speaker 3: they're going to bring their voting habits. This is a
- 23:30Speaker 3: deep systemic problem. Lefties, right? This is, they're here to
- 23:38Speaker 3: take over. They're trying to get Texas, right? They took
- 23:41Speaker 3: over Austin. Now they're trying to do it culturally, religiously,
- 23:45Speaker 3: and in every way you can imagine. Good versus evil, right?
- 23:53Speaker 3: Good versus evil. This is the best way I can
- 23:57Speaker 3: put it. I'm rarely at a loss for words. But
- 24:01Speaker 3: when I think about this, I say to myself, we're
- 24:03Speaker 3: looking at an election that's coming up in, I don't know, Mr. Producer,
- 24:08Speaker 3: am I right in saying it's 66 or 67 days away?
- 24:14Speaker 3: Maybe I'm off by a day or three. And this
- 24:18Speaker 3: is a dangerous time right now. I don't want to
- 24:23Speaker 3: sound like the left. Trump is dangerous.
- 24:25Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 24:27Speaker 3: The left is dangerous. The communist movement is dangerous. And
- 24:34Speaker 3: for anybody who takes the bait, hook, line, and sinker,
- 24:39Speaker 3: the euphemism of democratic socialism, healthcare is a right, right?
- 24:46Speaker 3: Please come and spend some time in Times Square after
- 24:49Speaker 3: the sun goes down. That's all I could say. And
- 24:54Speaker 3: maybe get out of Times Square. Maybe go into Hell's
- 24:57Speaker 3: Kitchen for a little bit. Maybe take a walk. Walk
- 25:01Speaker 3: your way over to Gramercy Park. See what you encounter
- 25:06Speaker 3: on that walk. It's high time. And again, I'm not
- 25:11Speaker 3: trying to be New York focused. I realize people are
- 25:12Speaker 3: listening from all across the country. I'm trying to describe
- 25:17Speaker 3: something that, in my opinion, is dire. And this is
- 25:20Speaker 3: from somebody who's there.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Right?
- 25:24Speaker 3: You don't want this in your backyard, but yet we're
- 25:27Speaker 3: seeing it. Now we're seeing a couple of Democrats. I
- 25:30Speaker 3: just spent a little while beating up Congressman Josh Gottheimer,
- 25:32Speaker 3: who happens to be the congressman in the district I
- 25:34Speaker 3: live in in Jersey. He conveniently went on Fox News.
- 25:37Speaker 3: I would say, Congressman, why didn't you say all those
- 25:39Speaker 3: wonderful things you said about the DSA having no place
- 25:45Speaker 3: in the Democrat Party? Why wouldn't you say that on CNN?
- 25:47Speaker 3: Why wouldn't you go on MSNBC? You know they'll give
- 25:50Speaker 3: you an audience. So again, I'm suspicious because ultimately the
- 25:54Speaker 3: left is running the show. There are no more moderates.
- 25:58Speaker 3: So it becomes a question, what America do you want
- 26:00Speaker 3: to see? Do you want to see the Hassan Pikers,
- 26:03Speaker 3: the Bernie Sanders, AOC wing of this party at every
- 26:07Speaker 3: inaugural from here moving forward? And I don't mean for
- 26:10Speaker 3: like president and, you know, God forbid, that could be
- 26:12Speaker 3: a thing too. But I mean, every state house election,
- 26:15Speaker 3: every congressional election, every Senate election, swearing in people, that
- 26:22Speaker 3: are doing it in the name of DSA, doing it
- 26:24Speaker 3: in the name of collectivism, doing it in the name
- 26:27Speaker 3: of Karl Marx himself. Come on. You know, this is
- 26:30Speaker 3: a paraphrase, but it's scary to me to think that
- 26:33Speaker 3: some people would not take heed to the writings of
- 26:37Speaker 3: scholars that have come before us and paying attention to
- 26:40Speaker 3: history and saying, my goodness. All of a sudden, we
- 26:43Speaker 3: are making cool, right? It's like communism is cool again.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Would that be?
- 26:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 26:49Speaker 3: I don't know if that's quite a hat just yet,
- 26:51Speaker 3: but I think they're working on it. So I want
- 26:53Speaker 3: to spend the next hour really taking this apart and
- 26:55Speaker 3: hearing from you guys and seeing, am I just suffering
- 26:59Speaker 3: from McCarthyism? Am I just bugging out here in New
- 27:02Speaker 3: York because things are so dire over here? The fact that,
- 27:06Speaker 3: you know, I'd rather walk than take a subway because
- 27:08Speaker 3: you never know what you're going to encounter in a
- 27:10Speaker 3: subway and you're trapped in there. And mind you, I've
- 27:12Speaker 3: been riding subways since I was a little kid.
- 27:14Speaker 4: Is it me?
- 27:15Speaker 3: Or is this problem really that bad? Is this midterm
- 27:18Speaker 3: election really that bad? And are we going to sit
- 27:21Speaker 3: here and listen to what Mark Levin, the great one,
- 27:23Speaker 3: calls the woke Reich cry about a forever war in Iran?
- 27:29Speaker 3: One that, in my opinion, has to happen? Are we
- 27:32Speaker 3: going to sit here and allow AOC to play her
- 27:35Speaker 3: violin with her communist grandpa, Bernie Sanders. Bernard Sanders, healthcare
- 27:39Speaker 3: is a right. Sit there and beat us over the
- 27:42Speaker 3: head with this has to be free and that has
- 27:44Speaker 3: to be free. We're going to sit here while Zoran
- 27:46Speaker 3: Mamdani puts his hand over his heart and gives us
- 27:49Speaker 3: one big cheesy grin after the next telling us why
- 27:52Speaker 3: private property should be outlawed, why collectivism is king where
- 27:56Speaker 3: he comes from. How much of this are we going
- 27:58Speaker 3: to endure? Are we just Are we just has-beens? Are
- 28:02Speaker 3: we just washed-up conservatives that once ruled the roost in
- 28:06Speaker 3: America and are now a relic of the culture? This
- 28:09Speaker 3: isn't a good thing. I want to know what you think.
- 28:11Speaker 4: This is America. This is America. He's brown, he's bald,
- 28:28Speaker 4: and he's breaking it down.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Oh, he's so handsome.
- 28:30Speaker 4: What's his name?
- 28:31Speaker 3: Rich Valdez. All right, familia, welcome back. It is Rich Valdez,
- 28:38Speaker 3: Valdez with an S, at Rich Valdez on all of
- 28:40Speaker 3: the social media. Some of you know me as Mr.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Call Screener. Others know me as your liberty-loving Latino amigo
- 28:46Speaker 3: from the Mark Levin Show, from radio, from TV, a
- 28:49Speaker 3: few other places. And I want to share a quote
- 28:53Speaker 3: with you as I'm here filling in for the great one,
- 28:56Speaker 3: Mark Levin. And it's from someone I met through Mark Levin,
- 28:59Speaker 3: Paul Kengor, Professor Paul Kengor from Grove City College. He's
- 29:04Speaker 3: got a tremendous introduction to his book, The Devil and
- 29:07Speaker 3: Karl Marx. And I recommend you read it. But I've
- 29:10Speaker 3: shared this before and I'll share it again. Something he
- 29:12Speaker 3: wrote in a poem back in 1837. Who's he? Not Kengor.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Karl Marx. He says, Thus heaven I've forfeited. I know
- 29:22Speaker 3: it full well. Now, he wrote this a decade before
- 29:27Speaker 3: he wrote the Communist Manifesto. And the sentence ends with this.
- 29:31Speaker 3: My soul, once true to God, is chosen for hell.
- 29:37Speaker 3: This is the crux of of communism. This, at its
- 29:43Speaker 3: deepest core, is what Marx was all about. Godlessness. I'm
- 29:49Speaker 3: not here to get on a soapbox. I'm not a preacher.
- 29:52Speaker 3: But I know the difference between good and evil. And
- 29:56Speaker 3: this don't look too good. Give me your thoughts on
- 29:59Speaker 3: what we're talking about. Let's see, we got calls from
- 30:01Speaker 3: all over the country here. Let's see, where do we go?
- 30:03Speaker 3: We got Wilmington, North Carolina, WBAP, shout out to Dallas, Brooklyn,
- 30:09Speaker 3: New York, Orange County, California, Brooklyn, New York again. All right,
- 30:14Speaker 3: let's go to Brooklyn, New York. Let's start there. I'm
- 30:16Speaker 3: partial to Brooklyn, New York. I was born in Brooklyn,
- 30:18Speaker 3: Midwood in the building. Let's go to Jimmy, Brooklyn, New York.
- 30:21Speaker 3: You're on with Rich Valdez.
- 30:24Speaker 8: Rich Valdez with an S. How you doing, buddy?
- 30:27Speaker 3: My man, Jimmy, how are you?
- 30:29Speaker 8: Okay, a couple of quotes real quick from the enemy.
- 30:33Speaker 8: Gus Hall, head of the American Communist Party, said, and
- 30:35Speaker 8: it's in writing, the best way to help the cause
- 30:38Speaker 8: of communism is through the liberal wing of a democratic party.
- 30:43Speaker 8: He also said and wrote, there's no way anyone can
- 30:46Speaker 8: unlink the Soviet Union and the socialist countries from the
- 30:49Speaker 8: world revolutionary process. They're winning, and it's not Marx, it's Lenin.
- 30:55Speaker 8: Most communists call themselves Marxist-Leninists. Marx was the philosophy. Sometimes
- 31:00Speaker 8: they call it the science. Lenin was strategy, tactics, and
- 31:05Speaker 8: Lenin's party of a new type. Evidence of Lenin's party
- 31:08Speaker 8: of a new type. When all these tourists came to
- 31:11Speaker 8: America for the soccer or football, as they call it,
- 31:15Speaker 8: from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe, they all said,
- 31:18Speaker 8: Their media lied to them about America. They came here
- 31:22Speaker 8: and pleasantly surprised. They fell in love with America. Some
- 31:25Speaker 8: of them cried when they had a lead. Now, the
- 31:28Speaker 8: only way you could have every country in the world
- 31:30Speaker 8: teaching their people hate America and the American media teaching
- 31:34Speaker 8: people hate America, that's Lenin's party of a new type,
- 31:37Speaker 8: communist party in every single country.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Now, Jimmy, let me ask you a question because I
- 31:43Speaker 3: know that you know this topic well. But on the
- 31:47Speaker 3: premise of what I've laid out this evening, that this
- 31:49Speaker 3: is truly about good versus evil, and the crux of
- 31:53Speaker 3: Marx's philosophy was him forfeiting his soul, that he was
- 31:58Speaker 3: truly chosen for hell and, you know, not for God.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Do you think that it's fair to say that this
- 32:08Speaker 3: upcoming midterm and really this tipping point that we face
- 32:12Speaker 3: in America is truly one of good versus evil?
- 32:17Speaker 8: Yes, it's good versus evil. I don't usually talk like
- 32:20Speaker 8: religious and spirituality, but it's definitely good versus evil, and
- 32:24Speaker 8: evil works really well among the Communist Party and the movement.
- 32:29Speaker 8: There's a lot of spin-off groups and offshoots, and there's
- 32:32Speaker 8: a lot of useful idiots, people who aren't willingly, knowingly
- 32:35Speaker 8: helping the Communists, but they are inadvertently. That's why they're
- 32:39Speaker 8: referred to as useful idiots. We are in absolutely big trouble.
- 32:44Speaker 8: Years ago, I talked about the Soviet hand in the
- 32:47Speaker 8: Muslim glove. A hundred years, the communists were working with Muslims.
- 32:52Speaker 8: I have the training manuals, how to penetrate the Negro organizations.
- 32:56Speaker 8: The communists, right, we have the ability to move tens
- 32:59Speaker 8: of thousands, hundreds of thousands, and millions of voters. They
- 33:03Speaker 8: talk about creating mass moods and mass trends.
- 33:06Speaker 3: You know, Jimmy, I once read this article. That was
- 33:10Speaker 3: from like 1975. At least that was the copyright on it.
- 33:14Speaker 3: And it was on either the plural or the singular, Marxist.org.
- 33:20Speaker 3: And it was about what you're talking about, this union
- 33:23Speaker 3: organizing about African-Americans. They called them the national minority and
- 33:28Speaker 3: basically laid out a structure to give a superfluous title
- 33:34Speaker 3: called a shop steward. and had to go to an
- 33:37Speaker 3: African American in order to ingratiate themselves within that community.
- 33:41Speaker 3: And I mean, it was just egregious, the stuff that
- 33:43Speaker 3: I read. And again, that was 1975. I read it in,
- 33:46Speaker 3: you know, maybe 2016, 2017. And here we are, you know,
- 33:52Speaker 3: years later, and it seems like they've really taken root
- 33:55Speaker 3: in what they've tried to do. It's truly astounding. And
- 33:59Speaker 3: I think you hit the nail on the head. The
- 34:03Speaker 3: Soviet hand inside the Muslim glove. That's definitely that red-green access,
- 34:08Speaker 3: if I've ever heard of it. Jimmy from Brooklyn, thank
- 34:10Speaker 3: you for your call. And this is one of those
- 34:14Speaker 3: things that it's not going to go away just because,
- 34:18Speaker 3: you know, we ignore it. We've got to pay attention
- 34:21Speaker 3: to this. And all messaging aside, all the BS you're
- 34:25Speaker 3: going to hear on the news about inflation, about this
- 34:28Speaker 3: and about that, if there's ever been a time for
- 34:30Speaker 3: Americans to band together like they did during the world wars,
- 34:34Speaker 3: where we really stood up for not only our fellow
- 34:38Speaker 3: man across this country, but for our own countrymen, right?
- 34:41Speaker 3: The rosy, the riveter days. This is that time. We
- 34:44Speaker 3: have to do this, right? Because the war is different now, right? Yeah,
- 34:49Speaker 3: there's a hot war going on in Iran and whatnot,
- 34:53Speaker 3: but there's a war going on outside right here and
- 34:56Speaker 3: nobody's safe from it. Your children aren't safe from it.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Culture is at risk. Let me backtrack. culture is already
- 35:05Speaker 3: in the crosshairs and the shots have been fired. The
- 35:08Speaker 3: question really comes down to what are we going to do?
- 35:12Speaker 3: How are we going to defend ourselves? This is really
- 35:16Speaker 3: an incredibly, an incredibly consequential election. Anyway, more calls when
- 35:26Speaker 3: we return. Plus, wait till you hear about what the
- 35:28Speaker 3: governor of Virginia did in order to get more votes.
- 35:32Speaker 3: It probably won't surprise you, but It'll disappoint you for sure.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Keep it locked right here. It's Rich Valdez. All right,
- 35:37Speaker 3: it's good versus evil. 60 some odd days away. I
- 35:41Speaker 3: want to hear what you've got to say. Let's go
- 35:43Speaker 3: to Catherine calling from North Carolina. Catherine, you're on with
- 35:46Speaker 3: Rich Valdez in for the great one.
- 35:50Speaker 11: Good evening. I'm very concerned about our nation. And it
- 35:57Speaker 11: is good versus evil.
- 36:00Speaker 9: And I just, we need to pray.
- 36:03Speaker 5: We need to pray.
- 36:06Speaker 11: I do a lot of reading about our nation's founding,
- 36:12Speaker 11: and they were men of prayer.
- 36:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I don't know if you've ever seen that photo in
- 36:18Speaker 3: Constitution Hall of George Washington and all the rest of
- 36:22Speaker 3: the founders that were there on their knees in prayer, deep,
- 36:26Speaker 3: deep prayer, thrown about the floor, really trying to see,
- 36:30Speaker 3: I guess, the the Lord's will for America. And it's
- 36:37Speaker 3: a powerful painting. And I don't know if they added
- 36:39Speaker 3: a little, you know, drama to it, but watching, you know,
- 36:43Speaker 3: just looking at that painting and thinking this is what
- 36:45Speaker 3: they were seeing at that time. Really, it speaks volumes.
- 36:49Speaker 3: So I think you're right. When times get tough, we've
- 36:53Speaker 3: got to get tough and we've got to pray. Catherine,
- 36:55Speaker 3: thank you for that call to prayer. I appreciate that. genuinely.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Let us go to Dallas, Texas, WBAP, Great Station. Roy,
- 37:05Speaker 3: go for it.
- 37:07Speaker 12: Yes, sir. Thank you for taking my call. I've been
- 37:10Speaker 12: in law enforcement for 35 years, and I went through
- 37:13Speaker 12: your call screener. And my perspective and whole wide picture
- 37:18Speaker 12: on what the Democrats and their influencers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
- 37:27Speaker 12: and the Socialist Communist Democratic Party, some of those who've
- 37:31Speaker 12: been elected, especially like James Tallarico, they have made outside
- 37:37Speaker 12: statements that once they are elected, they are going to
- 37:41Speaker 12: take ICE apart. Well, Americans need to realize, like in
- 37:46Speaker 12: my field, for 35 years, we have worked with ICE
- 37:50Speaker 12: officials We have also worked with U.S. Cousins Border Patrol, DEA, ATF,
- 37:57Speaker 12: the FBI, and look how the actions, including the United
- 38:03Speaker 12: States Marshal Service, look at the worst of the worst
- 38:07Speaker 12: that's published each and every day on the U.S. government's
- 38:11Speaker 12: website of those that are on the streets of America,
- 38:17Speaker 12: that have national, international warrants out for their arrests. Some
- 38:23Speaker 12: of these were leaders in Africa, like a woman who
- 38:27Speaker 12: was using children to be armed and trained to kill
- 38:34Speaker 12: fellow people of their country over there.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Well, you know, Roy, this is exactly what people need
- 38:40Speaker 3: to hear, right? I appreciate you telling us because people
- 38:43Speaker 3: don't realize how dire things are in a border state Right.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I think they just think, oh, we're just, you know,
- 38:49Speaker 3: these people want to come here for a better life
- 38:51Speaker 3: and they want to, I'm not trying to demonize any immigrants.
- 38:54Speaker 3: I'm not right. This is not about that. This is
- 38:57Speaker 3: just about things have gotten out of hand and you're right.
- 39:00Speaker 3: You know, the cartels, uh, run the entire Mexican side
- 39:04Speaker 3: of the border and they have for ever. And to
- 39:07Speaker 3: think that we're going to just turn a blind eye
- 39:10Speaker 3: to the trafficking that goes on all because the media
- 39:14Speaker 3: and the left want to say things, cliche things like, uh,
- 39:18Speaker 3: kids in cages or bombing babies. It's asinine to think
- 39:22Speaker 3: that people will be that undereducated and that unaware.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Right.
- 39:27Speaker 3: So thank you for what you're doing on the front lines, Roy.
- 39:30Speaker 3: God bless you, my brother. We continue. Let's go to
- 39:33Speaker 3: Joy in Brooklyn. She's been patiently waiting. Joy, I know
- 39:37Speaker 3: you had some things to say. Go right ahead.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Hi, good evening. Yes, so this is about Jelly Roll,
- 39:43Speaker 6: even though I have other stuff to say, but Jelly Roll,
- 39:45Speaker 6: he's an American. He has a right to say what
- 39:47Speaker 6: he wants. There has been many conservatives, I've been listening
- 39:50Speaker 6: to conservatives for years, who's made jokes about the presidents
- 39:54Speaker 6: while they're sitting in office, while they're not sitting in offices.
- 39:58Speaker 6: It's all fair game. Just because he's a white male
- 40:00Speaker 6: Christian and he's from the South and he sings country music,
- 40:03Speaker 6: people should not assume that he thinks one particular way.
- 40:07Speaker 6: In addition, he may think two ways. He could be
- 40:11Speaker 6: pro-abortion but against the death penalty.
- 40:13Speaker 3: You're right. My issue wasn't necessarily on any of those points.
- 40:17Speaker 3: It was really on does this hurt his career or not?
- 40:22Speaker 3: Because I know that in Nashville, at least my thinking is,
- 40:25Speaker 3: has always been that it's a very, you know, country
- 40:28Speaker 3: music in general, I think, is a rather, you know, pro-Americana,
- 40:33Speaker 3: Christian conservative type of genre. And he's done a lot
- 40:36Speaker 3: of collaborations with a lot of other Christian artists. So
- 40:40Speaker 3: my thinking is, does this hurt him in the long run?
- 40:42Speaker 3: And I don't know that any of us know the
- 40:44Speaker 3: answer to that until it happens. But that was really
- 40:47Speaker 3: my thinking joint.
- 40:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't. I mean, like you said, none of
- 40:51Speaker 6: us really knows what will happen. But I think that
- 40:53Speaker 6: the fact that this is a question kind of shows
- 40:56Speaker 6: the time that we are in now. People are so
- 40:58Speaker 6: in the trenches with their particular position that you have
- 41:02Speaker 6: to be scared as an artist, as an individual, as
- 41:05Speaker 6: an average everyday American to even express your views because
- 41:08Speaker 6: you automatically are branded a particular way. And it goes
- 41:11Speaker 6: for both sides. Yeah.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Well, you know what? You bring up a good point.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I think I think you're you're you're spot on here.
- 41:17Speaker 3: that I think Jelly Roll isn't afraid and likely because
- 41:21Speaker 3: he doesn't fear getting, quote unquote, canceled by the country
- 41:25Speaker 3: music crowd, probably because they're so forgiving. Right. Where you
- 41:29Speaker 3: may not see the same when others, you know, when
- 41:33Speaker 3: it's the other way.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Right.
- 41:34Speaker 3: When somebody says, I like President Trump, all of a
- 41:37Speaker 3: sudden they're like, you like Trump, you're out of here.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 41:39Speaker 3: And I think there's a double standard there. And I
- 41:42Speaker 3: think it's the other side of that double standard that
- 41:45Speaker 3: I was just mainly questioning, will it strike back on him?
- 41:49Speaker 3: But yeah, I support everything you're saying. Yeah, I made
- 41:51Speaker 3: fun of Joe Biden and still occasionally do. And I
- 41:55Speaker 3: love the fact that I can. So, you know, kudos
- 41:58Speaker 3: to Jelly Roll and his attempt at humor and, you know,
- 42:01Speaker 3: trying to poke shots at the president. But yeah, my
- 42:05Speaker 3: question still remains, does this hurt him in the long run? Now, Joy,
- 42:09Speaker 3: other question I had for you was, The same question
- 42:13Speaker 3: I asked some of the other women earlier, which was,
- 42:16Speaker 3: what do you think, I guess, is the winning messaging
- 42:21Speaker 3: strategy for the midterms? Is it Trump broke the economy
- 42:26Speaker 3: with the Iran war or the evil socialists are coming
- 42:32Speaker 3: for capitalism?
- 42:34Speaker 6: I don't think either one really works. And I think
- 42:36Speaker 6: it depends on which segment of society you're talking to.
- 42:39Speaker 6: I think that both sides have a real problem, especially
- 42:43Speaker 6: with black Americans in the country. The Democrats candor to
- 42:48Speaker 6: black Americans and think that we're all interested. I'm a
- 42:51Speaker 6: black American. They think that we're all interested in having
- 42:54Speaker 6: no police. They think that we all are advocates of crime,
- 42:58Speaker 6: which is not true. The Republicans, on the other hand,
- 43:01Speaker 6: they think that we're just a bunch of lamb just
- 43:03Speaker 6: following the Democrats blindly. And we're just going to vote
- 43:06Speaker 6: because apparently we're all on welfare and we like three things.
- 43:10Speaker 6: So you have two extremes. You have two parties who
- 43:12Speaker 6: don't know how to speak to either one. And what
- 43:15Speaker 6: I'd like to say, I take this time to say it,
- 43:17Speaker 6: is that Black Americans are some of the most loyal
- 43:22Speaker 6: people in this country because this is the only country
- 43:25Speaker 6: that we have allegiance to. That is not... That is
- 43:29Speaker 6: overlooked by both parties. They don't understand that the black
- 43:32Speaker 6: Americans in this country are the most loyal people in
- 43:35Speaker 6: this country. This is the only country that we have
- 43:38Speaker 6: allegiance to because we are Americans.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Listen, I think you're right. And I think for
- 43:44Speaker 3: years now, I think Donald Trump is probably the only
- 43:47Speaker 3: politician that's tried to make that same correlation that you
- 43:50Speaker 3: just made. I think being the one out there, Over
- 43:54Speaker 3: and over beating the drum, saying that, you know, illegal
- 43:56Speaker 3: immigration hurts black Americans more than others because of exactly
- 44:01Speaker 3: what you're saying, because black Americans are Americans at the
- 44:04Speaker 3: end of the day.
- 44:06Speaker 6: But when you see Republicans on television, so this is
- 44:10Speaker 6: a point that Republicans can use. However, when they're on television,
- 44:13Speaker 6: they're not very articulate at saying that. Okay, Trump will
- 44:16Speaker 6: just say plain, oh, you know, it hurts the blacks.
- 44:19Speaker 6: You have Republicans and Republicans. I watch both sides of TV.
- 44:22Speaker 6: I watch CNN. I watch Fox. You have Republicans who
- 44:25Speaker 6: poorly explain this. They don't explain to black Americans that
- 44:28Speaker 6: when you have groups coming in and their children are
- 44:31Speaker 6: then born to be United States citizens, that it dilutes
- 44:33Speaker 6: the black vote. You don't hear them say that. They're basically....
- 44:40Speaker 3: I don't know that they're scared. I would say I
- 44:42Speaker 3: think they just don't know how to articulate that. And
- 44:44Speaker 3: I'll tell you, I'm Puerto Rican and I don't know
- 44:46Speaker 3: that I can articulate it that well. I have heard
- 44:49Speaker 3: some of the most eloquent people, right? John Amanchuku is
- 44:52Speaker 3: a black pastor. He came out by going to school
- 44:55Speaker 3: board meetings and he was incredibly eloquent making these cases against,
- 44:59Speaker 3: you know, LGBTQ and like trans issues, ideology being pushed
- 45:04Speaker 3: on children in the district that he was in. there's
- 45:06Speaker 3: a woman, I forget her name, but she's fantastic. She
- 45:09Speaker 3: goes to all of Brandon Johnson's meetings, the mayor's meetings,
- 45:13Speaker 3: and she calls him out, you know, saying they're making
- 45:14Speaker 3: a war zone here. And she's incredibly eloquent. I mean,
- 45:18Speaker 3: I don't think anybody could say it better than she does.
- 45:20Speaker 3: So I think you're right. There is a messaging problem
- 45:23Speaker 3: and they need the right messengers. I think you should
- 45:26Speaker 3: be at the top of that list, Joy, in my opinion.
- 45:28Speaker 3: Joy in Brooklyn, thank you so much. I appreciate you. Mr. Producer,
- 45:31Speaker 3: how am I doing on time here? All right, I
- 45:33Speaker 3: have time for one more and I love that.
- 45:35Speaker 4: All right.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Great call, by the way. Joy in Brooklyn. Let us
- 45:38Speaker 3: continue here. Where do we go here? Let's go to
- 45:41Speaker 3: the shortest one on this list, which is going to
- 45:45Speaker 3: be Curtis in Orange County, California. Go for it.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Hi.
- 45:50Speaker 13: I think that John Thune is significantly responsible for some
- 45:54Speaker 13: of the socialism that's in the United States. I think
- 45:58Speaker 13: he works for Mitch McConnell. I think Mitch McConnell works
- 46:01Speaker 13: for the rhinos and the Trump haters in Washington. I
- 46:04Speaker 13: don't think Thune.
- 46:06Speaker 13: He will get rid of the filibuster because there were
- 46:09Speaker 13: higher votes and voting would show the rhinos. I seem
- 46:13Speaker 13: to recall that Harry Reid got rid of the filibuster.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Listen, Curtis, I don't disagree with you on a lot
- 46:18Speaker 3: of that, honestly. That was always my concern. I also
- 46:22Speaker 3: am cognizant.
- 46:24Speaker 6: Right.
- 46:24Speaker 3: I realize that Washington is still Washington, irrespective of who
- 46:28Speaker 3: we like. And it works a certain way. And you
- 46:32Speaker 3: have to do things a certain way, at least for
- 46:34Speaker 3: the time being. right? And while President Trump, I think,
- 46:37Speaker 3: has done an amazing job at draining some of that swamp,
- 46:40Speaker 3: it's still a swamp nonetheless. And these are the things
- 46:44Speaker 3: that we deal with there, right? I don't think we
- 46:46Speaker 3: ever get a lockstep Washington that we love that's a
- 46:51Speaker 3: rubber stamp for any faction or any party. So it
- 46:55Speaker 3: really comes down to wheeling and dealing and making political calculations.
- 47:03Speaker 3: And what can you do, right? All you can do
- 47:05Speaker 3: is fight the good fight. Curtis, thank you for your call. Amigos,
- 47:08Speaker 3: we're coming right back. We got calls from Texas and
- 47:12Speaker 3: Missouri and more. And a couple of closing thoughts from me.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Don't go anywhere. It's Valdez. I'm here for the great one.
- 47:18Speaker 4: This is America. This is America.
- 47:30Speaker 3: All right. Welcome back. It's Rich Valdez. And I want
- 47:32Speaker 3: to go to Independence, Missouri. Check in with Mark. Mark,
- 47:35Speaker 3: make it quick. Make it count.
- 47:37Speaker 5: Yeah, Rick.
- 47:37Speaker 2: All I got to say, yes, there's good and evil,
- 47:39Speaker 2: but there's also life and death of the country on
- 47:41Speaker 2: the line. And the Republicans, with a few exceptions, like
- 47:44Speaker 2: President Trump and a few others, don't seem to get it.
- 47:46Speaker 2: There's a lack of urgency. They can't get on the
- 47:49Speaker 2: same page. They don't even seem to realize this danger
- 47:51Speaker 2: we're up against. Mike Johnson recently made some good statements,
- 47:54Speaker 2: strong statements, but no follow-up. This has to be a
- 47:57Speaker 2: daily exercise of relentlessness about exposing these. I think it's
- 48:01Speaker 2: the whole party. I mean, we talk about a few communists,
- 48:03Speaker 2: but it's the whole party. And they have to educate
- 48:06Speaker 2: the country. This is more than just a midterm election.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Our country is on the line, and they have to
- 48:11Speaker 2: treat it that way.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Outstanding. I couldn't have put it any better. I think
- 48:17Speaker 3: you nailed it there. The country's on the line, truly.
- 48:20Speaker 7: Right?
- 48:20Speaker 3: Whatever's left of this country, right? You've heard Mark and
- 48:23Speaker 3: Hannity and others say that we are in a post-constitutional America.
- 48:27Speaker 3: And to some degree we are. Do we want to
- 48:30Speaker 3: see that get worse or do we want to see
- 48:32Speaker 3: it get better? Do we want to turn the pendulum
- 48:34Speaker 3: the other way? How do we survive any other way?
- 48:38Speaker 3: Excellent point, Mark. Thank you. I appreciate it. I'm not
- 48:40Speaker 3: sure if we lost you or not, but I definitely
- 48:42Speaker 3: appreciate it. Thank you so much. And We're going to
- 48:46Speaker 3: find out what happens, right? We're going to see what happens.
- 48:48Speaker 3: I know that we're all going to show up to
- 48:49Speaker 3: work each and every day. I know for me on
- 48:51Speaker 3: my show, Rich Valdez, this is America, which you can
- 48:54Speaker 3: download anywhere you want. Make sure you subscribe to it, please.
- 48:57Speaker 3: It's free. I'd love to have you be part of
- 48:59Speaker 3: the conversation. And you are able to call into the
- 49:02Speaker 3: show and chat with me. And we can continue this
- 49:04Speaker 3: conversation from, is this about life and death and good
- 49:08Speaker 3: and evil? Or even I can give you an update
- 49:10Speaker 3: on my upcoming trip to Puerto Rico. And will the
- 49:14Speaker 3: governor actually respond? And make good on her promise to me,
- 49:18Speaker 3: Governor González Colón. of Puerto Rico, who said, I'm inviting
- 49:22Speaker 3: you over for a tour. I'm looking forward to it.
- 49:25Speaker 3: But so far, crickets, crickets, or maybe in Puerto Rico,
- 49:29Speaker 3: it's coquí, coquí. I don't know. We will find out.
- 49:32Speaker 3: And I do like her. She's a lovely woman. And
- 49:35Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to visiting La Fortaleza if I If
- 49:39Speaker 3: they do get back to us, we'll see what happens.
- 49:42Speaker 3: And the other thing I had left on the table
- 49:45Speaker 3: that I didn't get to was the showdown I had
- 49:48Speaker 3: with AOC. Now, for those of you who've heard this story, well,
- 49:52Speaker 3: you'll have to hear it again. But I don't know,
- 49:54Speaker 3: I think eight years ago, it was 2019. Yeah, so
- 49:58Speaker 3: it's eight years ago or close to it. seven years ago,
- 50:02Speaker 3: I was marching in the Puerto Rican parade and I
- 50:04Speaker 3: saw a banner coming my way on Fifth Avenue that
- 50:07Speaker 3: said all together, but it was in Spanish, todo junto.
- 50:11Speaker 3: And in the middle of it is Congresswoman AOC wearing
- 50:14Speaker 3: this like blue, magenta, violet, purple type of thing. And
- 50:17Speaker 3: she's saying hello, you know, to the folks on the
- 50:19Speaker 3: sidelines of both sides of Fifth Avenue. And I was
- 50:22Speaker 3: with my probably 11, 12 year old daughter at the time.
- 50:24Speaker 3: And I said, well, you know what? I had been
- 50:26Speaker 3: inviting Congresswoman AOC on my radio show. At the time,
- 50:30Speaker 3: I did a local show at New York City, WABC radio.
- 50:33Speaker 3: And again, crickets, crickets, crickets. I was like, hey, you
- 50:36Speaker 3: want to come on the show and talk about capitalism
- 50:38Speaker 3: versus socialism? I got no response. I said, let me
- 50:41Speaker 3: go over there and let her know in person that
- 50:43Speaker 3: she's got a warm invitation to my show. And guess what?
- 50:47Speaker 3: She ran away. I said, Congresswoman. And she looked at me,
- 50:51Speaker 3: gave me the evil eye, And she literally jetted across
- 50:54Speaker 3: the street to the other side to say hello to
- 50:56Speaker 3: the parade goers on the other side of the street
- 50:59Speaker 3: by the barricades and left me in the dust with
- 51:01Speaker 3: one of her aides who was kind of like shoulder
- 51:03Speaker 3: checking me. And it just goes to show you that
- 51:06Speaker 3: sometimes the people that have all these crazy ideas, they're
- 51:10Speaker 3: not willing to stand by them. They're not willing to
- 51:13Speaker 3: have the difficult conversations or the honest conversations, the transparent
- 51:17Speaker 3: conversations about what they believe. So that's why we're doing
- 51:22Speaker 3: it here. And I, for one, would still love to
- 51:26Speaker 3: have AOC on. I want to go to Puerto Rico
- 51:29Speaker 3: and hang out in the governor's mansion. I want to
- 51:31Speaker 3: have a debate with AOC. So many things on my
- 51:34Speaker 3: wish list. One less thing that's on my wish list
- 51:36Speaker 3: is hosting the Mark Levin Show. I've gotten the opportunity
- 51:40Speaker 3: to do this a number of times over the years,
- 51:42Speaker 3: and it gets better each and every time. So in sum,
- 51:46Speaker 3: I want to leave you with a thought. And the
- 51:48Speaker 3: thought is this. If you want to know what's going
- 51:50Speaker 3: on in the economy, if you want to know what's
- 51:52Speaker 3: at stake, with the upcoming election, you've got to tune
- 51:55Speaker 3: in this Saturday. Steve Moore, Congressman Mike Lawler joining Mark
- 52:01Speaker 3: on Life, Liberty and Levin Saturday night at 8 p.m.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Eastern Time on the Fox News Channel. Then on Sunday,
- 52:08Speaker 3: you've got Chris Ruffo and Rebecca Heinrichs joining Mark Levin
- 52:12Speaker 3: on Life, Liberty and Levin on Sunday at 8 p.m.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Eastern Time on the Fox News Channel. It's a doubleheader.
- 52:19Speaker 3: You've got Everything you need packed into these two episodes.
- 52:24Speaker 3: And guess what? If you're at the beach, if you're
- 52:27Speaker 3: over here, you're over there, don't worry about it. You
- 52:29Speaker 3: can DVR it and check it out when you come home.
- 52:31Speaker 3: The key is to make sure you don't miss it.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Make sure you DVR it. You don't want to miss it. Now,
- 52:37Speaker 3: this is where I oftentimes share with my audience that
- 52:42Speaker 3: we have to stand for something because if we stand
- 52:44Speaker 3: for nothing, we will fall for anything. And the only
- 52:48Speaker 3: thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people
- 52:51Speaker 3: like you to do nothing. That's Sir Edmund Burke. I
- 52:54Speaker 3: am Rich Valdez. In for the great one. Hasta la proxima.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Take care.
- 52:58Speaker 8: Good night.
- 52:58Speaker 3: And God bless you, America.
- 53:00Speaker 4: This is America.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 53:57Speaker 7: Bye.
