- 0:00Speaker 1: Blogged into Everything New York on the Voice of New
- 0:03Speaker 1: York Mark Simon on seven tenor.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Well, Hey, the Savannah Guthrie story just tragic. Here's the latest.
- 0:18Speaker 2: The President has ordered the entire FBI to go to
- 0:23Speaker 2: work on the Savannah Guthrie mother's disappearance, and the FBI
- 0:28Speaker 2: director himself is flying out there to Arizona to take
- 0:32Speaker 2: charge of all this. But a massive amount of FBI
- 0:35Speaker 2: agents are on the case. They get all kinds of
- 0:38Speaker 2: leads and they all have to be tracked downs too
- 0:41Speaker 2: much for the local police. Then they get all kinds
- 0:43Speaker 2: of false tips, false claims, but they all got to
- 0:46Speaker 2: be run down, and the hundreds and hundreds of FBI
- 0:50Speaker 2: agents will do that. And as told you before, they
- 0:53Speaker 2: can also get things done much faster than the local police,
- 0:56Speaker 2: things like get into her digital records or cell phone records,
- 1:01Speaker 2: or they can trace the cell phone to see where
- 1:05Speaker 2: it pinged on what towers. Now, when she was taken
- 1:08Speaker 2: from her home, they left the cell phone and her
- 1:10Speaker 2: keys or medicine, everything she needed and would normally take
- 1:14Speaker 2: with her. So the other thing they're looking at right now,
- 1:16Speaker 2: they think it's possible whoever this was was somebody that
- 1:21Speaker 2: knew her in some way, somebody that'd been in the house,
- 1:24Speaker 2: somebody that was familiar, just the first thing they're looking at.
- 1:27Speaker 2: So they're running down everybody she could have known, everybody
- 1:30Speaker 2: that could have been in the house, worked in the house,
- 1:33Speaker 2: done something around. So they're looking at that right now.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Some reports of a ransom note, and I don't think
- 1:41Speaker 2: it's true. If you look at the video that they
- 1:43Speaker 2: put out asking to talk to the kidnappers, it looks
- 1:46Speaker 2: like there is no ransom note. It's a tragic situation.
- 1:50Speaker 2: She can go for maybe a week or two or
- 1:54Speaker 2: three without the medicine, it's possible. But there was blood,
- 1:59Speaker 2: a lot of blod blood, a trail of blood coming
- 2:01Speaker 2: out the front door. There was blood inside. Apparently because
- 2:05Speaker 2: of the heart trouble. She was probably taking blood dinners,
- 2:09Speaker 2: and when you take that, you tend to bleed a lot,
- 2:11Speaker 2: so if they hit her in the head or something,
- 2:13Speaker 2: you bleed more than normal. So that's why you'd see
- 2:16Speaker 2: that kind of blood trail. The only thing you can
- 2:20Speaker 2: hope for is that there's a breakthrough they find her.
- 2:22Speaker 2: That's a long shot. The other thing is, if you
- 2:25Speaker 2: go back to the kidnapping of Frank Sinatra Junior. That's
- 2:29Speaker 2: back in nineteen sixty three. These kidnappers thought they could
- 2:33Speaker 2: get a lot of money by kidnapping Frank Sinatra Junior.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And then as it unfolded, it turned it out because
- 2:39Speaker 2: it was Frank Sinatra, the entire American mafia was out
- 2:43Speaker 2: looking for them, and Robert Kennedy, who had had a
- 2:47Speaker 2: fight with Sinatra broken up with him, wasn't talking to him.
- 2:50Speaker 2: But as soon as the kidnapping happened, Robert Kennedy called
- 2:53Speaker 2: and announced the entire FBI would be out there looking
- 2:57Speaker 2: for the sun and the kidnappers see this because it
- 3:00Speaker 2: was all over the news. It was front page news.
- 3:03Speaker 2: When they found out the entire mob was looking for him,
- 3:06Speaker 2: the entire FBI was looking for him, they got scared.
- 3:08Speaker 2: The kidnappers got scared and released the kid They just
- 3:11Speaker 2: took him somewhere he was blindfolded and just let him
- 3:13Speaker 2: out and they drove away, leaving him there. He was
- 3:17Speaker 2: found by actually a local security guard found him. But
- 3:21Speaker 2: you could hope for something like that in this case.
- 3:23Speaker 2: That as the kidnappers keep hearing about the president, the
- 3:26Speaker 2: United States is on the case, the FBI directors on
- 3:29Speaker 2: his way there. The entire FBI is looking for that.
- 3:32Speaker 2: They might panic and let her go. That's possible. It
- 3:35Speaker 2: happened in the Sinatra case. But we'll see. Hey, Scott
- 3:39Speaker 2: bessint yesterday had it testify before Congress. You know we're
- 3:45Speaker 2: talking about this yesterday. Republicans aren't good at holding hearings.
- 3:47Speaker 2: They're two mild, they're too comp You know, when Democrats
- 3:50Speaker 2: hold hearings, day will tear you apart. They'll just bite
- 3:54Speaker 2: you to death like pitbulls. So yesterday, Scott Bessant, brilliant,
- 4:00Speaker 2: very very classic guy, Scott Besson is to testify. He's
- 4:05Speaker 2: the Treasury secretary. He used to discuss the situation with
- 4:08Speaker 2: the Treasury and money matters. But it's Democrats. So they're
- 4:13Speaker 2: like animals, just screaming and yelling. Listen to them tear
- 4:16Speaker 2: into Besson.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Work for the American paper, work for the American people.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Before a mob investment keeps them. Mister secretary, could you
- 4:32Speaker 2: control these people traveled the whale? I take that as
- 4:36Speaker 2: it else on behalf.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I take that of your don't you want to take that?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Ask THEE for a seven billion asking you to do
- 4:47Speaker 2: your responsibility as Secretary of the Treasury as Secretary of
- 4:52Speaker 2: They just yelling at them. They don't let them do.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Here's a great one. You can't really make this out,
- 4:56Speaker 2: but i'll tell you what. It's Maxine Waters who's got
- 4:59Speaker 2: an IQ like sixty five maybe, and Besson is an
- 5:03Speaker 2: IQ like one sixty. So she's yelling at him, and
- 5:06Speaker 2: then he's trying to talk. And then you gotta listen carefully.
- 5:10Speaker 2: But Water says that chairman, will you shut him up?
- 5:14Speaker 2: And then you'll hear it's hard to hear it, you'll
- 5:16Speaker 2: hear Besson say, could you try to have some level
- 5:20Speaker 2: of dignity? He says to Maxine Waters, listen, listen to
- 5:23Speaker 2: this time immigration.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Tom does to a woman ten and twenty million immigrants,
- 5:36Speaker 4: the housing housing stock of working Americans, and can you
- 5:40Speaker 4: maintain some level of life as time has expired, not
- 5:45Speaker 4: as foired?
- 5:49Speaker 5: Uh?
- 5:49Speaker 2: First of all, the kind of dumb anyway, these Democrats,
- 5:51Speaker 2: the just the ones that end up at the committee
- 5:53Speaker 2: like the dumbest of the Democrats, and there's a TV
- 5:56Speaker 2: camera on them, and I know it's their moment to
- 5:59Speaker 2: go viral, and that's why they do that. So but
- 6:05Speaker 2: Bessett was very calm, very patient, and you got through it,
- 6:09Speaker 2: so hey. The other thing with fake news, besides fake news,
- 6:12Speaker 2: is they'll have fake polls. They have all these poles
- 6:14Speaker 2: about trumpet lowest approval rating ever. He's underwater in the economy,
- 6:19Speaker 2: he's underwater on immigration. Now, you got to remember, if
- 6:23Speaker 2: you actually go look at these poles, you go into
- 6:27Speaker 2: the metrics to see who they surveyed, you'll find out
- 6:30Speaker 2: it was totally rigged. For instance, in their sampling they
- 6:34Speaker 2: had Republicans at only twenty seven percent. They should be
- 6:37Speaker 2: thirty eight percent. They slanted right there by eleven points.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Then they don't use likely voters. They use a category
- 6:45Speaker 2: called adults, which means they can pick whoever they want.
- 6:49Speaker 2: They don't use the right demographics. There's all kinds of
- 6:51Speaker 2: ways they stand up slanting these poles by fourteen to
- 6:53Speaker 2: fifteen points. But they'll always come out. They're doing it
- 6:57Speaker 2: right now. They did last week, they're doing it this week.
- 6:59Speaker 2: They'll put out all all these poles and on all
- 7:02Speaker 2: these shows, and if you watch CNN or MSNBC, this
- 7:06Speaker 2: is all you'll hear. The poles are devastating for a Republican,
- 7:09Speaker 2: devastating for Donald Trump, but it shows him underwater on
- 7:12Speaker 2: his KYSU. They're absolutely disastrous these poles. Now, whenever they
- 7:17Speaker 2: do this scenario, you'll notice the next day he wins
- 7:20Speaker 2: an election. And they do this all the time, but
- 7:22Speaker 2: when it's a big thing to do, when it's leading
- 7:25Speaker 2: up to an election. They did it in twenty twenty
- 7:28Speaker 2: four leading up to the election. It's a disastrous for him.
- 7:31Speaker 2: This is meantime he wins. So they're doing it right now.
- 7:34Speaker 2: They'll keep doing this all year for the midterms and
- 7:38Speaker 2: it will be absolutely ineffective. Hey, as I said, they
- 7:42Speaker 2: on this street, at least around here, this neighborhood, they
- 7:45Speaker 2: picked up the garbage. Those mountains of garbage are all gone.
- 7:48Speaker 2: They were picked up yesterday. And out in front on
- 7:51Speaker 2: the fifty fifth street side of this building, there's a
- 7:53Speaker 2: big plow removing all the snow. They're picking up those
- 7:58Speaker 2: snow banks. They're taking them way. Things are getting much better,
- 8:01Speaker 2: better late than never. Apparently they did the bike lanes first,
- 8:06Speaker 2: but now they're doing the whole thing. So by the
- 8:08Speaker 2: time I walk out of here at noon, it's going
- 8:10Speaker 2: to look a lot better outside. That's good news. Mam.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Donni made a fool out of himself with this police incident.
- 8:20Speaker 2: There was a police shooting and there was domestic violent situation.
- 8:29Speaker 2: They were called in. The police ended up shooting the guy.
- 8:33Speaker 2: And what do you do when this is a police shooting. Well,
- 8:35Speaker 2: the first thing you do is investigate. Look at the
- 8:37Speaker 2: body cam. You see what happened. Not Mandani, not Mamdani.
- 8:42Speaker 2: He immediately assumed, assumed for no reason at all, that
- 8:45Speaker 2: it was unjustified that the police officer was a murderer.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And what did Mamdani do. He went to the hospital
- 8:52Speaker 2: to see the shooting victim, not to be with the cop,
- 8:56Speaker 2: but to go to the criminal. Now this is what
- 9:01Speaker 2: he did. But eventually bodycam footage was released and it
- 9:05Speaker 2: showed the cop was absolutely justified. It's kind of gruesome,
- 9:09Speaker 2: but you can see it online. The bodycam footage shows
- 9:12Speaker 2: they got a call domestic violence. The family called the
- 9:15Speaker 2: police asked them to come because the husband was going
- 9:20Speaker 2: crazy with a knife, big butcher knife, and you see
- 9:24Speaker 2: the bodycam video, he's waving it at the cops. They're
- 9:27Speaker 2: yelling and screaming, put down the knife, put down the knife.
- 9:29Speaker 2: This goes on for some time and then finally he
- 9:33Speaker 2: comes right at the cop with the butcher knife and
- 9:36Speaker 2: you have no choice in that street. You have to
- 9:38Speaker 2: shoot the guy. So he did shoot. Mom Donnie, of course,
- 9:41Speaker 2: on the wrong side of everything. Mom Donnie's a twelve
- 9:45Speaker 2: years old, never had a job, has no experience in
- 9:47Speaker 2: these kind of things. Immediately assumed the cops were wrong.
- 9:50Speaker 2: He's visiting the maniac in the hospital. Mom Donnie. Here,
- 9:56Speaker 2: take a.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Listen, seventeen New Yorkers. Oh, here it is the questions
- 9:59Speaker 1: at the whole of our pursuit of the Department of
- 10:01Speaker 1: Community Safety are looking to answer exactly what mental health
- 10:05Speaker 1: crisis response should look like.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Yeah, the shooting, We know the pain.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That his family is living through in this moment.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Well, first of all, the family called the police. Of course,
- 10:17Speaker 2: it was painful to see this, But it was the
- 10:19Speaker 2: family that called the cops and asked them to come stop.
- 10:21Speaker 1: This guy is to me incredibly clear that what he
- 10:27Speaker 1: needs in this moment is mental health treatment, not criminal
- 10:31Speaker 1: prosecution by a district attorney.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I see, this is the amateur twelve year old mayor,
- 10:38Speaker 2: never had a job, never had a deal any of
- 10:40Speaker 2: this reality. The social worker could deal with this now Again.
- 10:45Speaker 2: New York City has tried this experiment about three times
- 10:48Speaker 2: in the past using social workers to respond to this.
- 10:52Speaker 2: They've tried it under various police commissions. They tried it out.
- 10:56Speaker 2: You end up with dead, maimed, injured social workers and
- 11:00Speaker 2: nothing happens. Now you take this situation, go look at
- 11:02Speaker 2: the bodycam video of the screaming maniac with the big
- 11:06Speaker 2: butcher knife coming at you. If we're up to Mom Donnie,
- 11:10Speaker 2: they wouldn't have a cop with the gun. They'd have
- 11:12Speaker 2: the social worker saying, let me talk to let me
- 11:14Speaker 2: discuss this for a minute. Why don't you put down
- 11:16Speaker 2: the knife and we'll talk. Well, if he's not going
- 11:19Speaker 2: to put down the knife, with the cop with the
- 11:21Speaker 2: gun yelling at him, drop that knight, he's not going
- 11:23Speaker 2: to listen to the social worker. It always ends up
- 11:25Speaker 2: with a dead social worker. They've tried it before. But
- 11:29Speaker 2: Mom Donnie's got this plan. The Department of Public Safety.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I think we are continuing to explore every avenue that
- 11:35Speaker 1: we have to keep New Yorkers warm, and that means
- 11:38Speaker 1: to ensuring that we are taking this is.
- 11:41Speaker 2: The other one. I think this is the Department of
- 11:43Speaker 2: Public Safety.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The questions at the heart of our pursuit of the
- 11:46Speaker 1: Department of Community Safety are looking to answer exactly what
- 11:50Speaker 1: mental health crisis response should look like. And I think
- 11:53Speaker 1: what we are seeing is what it does look like today.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And we know that for far too long we haven't
- 12:00Speaker 1: asked these kinds of questions of this system. Those are
- 12:03Speaker 1: the ones we're looking to answer with our work and
- 12:05Speaker 1: our policies.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you see, Department of Mental Health a mental health crisis.
- 12:10Speaker 2: There's different types of a mental health crisis. In other words,
- 12:12Speaker 2: if somebody's at home and they're very, very depressed, even
- 12:17Speaker 2: thinking of suicide, well there, you could send a social
- 12:19Speaker 2: worker to talk to him. But if they're foaming at
- 12:21Speaker 2: the mouth, raving like a maniac, coming at you with
- 12:24Speaker 2: a butcher knife, that's a different kind of mental health crisis.
- 12:27Speaker 2: That's not the one for the social worker.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Now.
- 12:30Speaker 2: The other naive Mam donnie mistake is ordering the police
- 12:34Speaker 2: not to pick up the homeless. There's always in New
- 12:37Speaker 2: York been the rule. If it gets to dangerously dangerous
- 12:40Speaker 2: code blue minus ten degrees, you have to pick up
- 12:44Speaker 2: the homeless and take them to a shelter. You can't
- 12:46Speaker 2: leave them on the street. They'll freeze to death and die.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Mam Donnie orders the police not to do that, orders
- 12:53Speaker 2: all the departments leave the homeless on the street. Seventeen
- 12:56Speaker 2: are now dead. Seventeen are dead as a result Mam
- 13:02Speaker 2: Donnie talking about.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That seventeen New Yorkers have passed away outside during this
- 13:06Speaker 1: Code blue. In thirteen of these cases, Preliminary findings indicate
- 13:10Speaker 1: that hypothermia played a role. Three of these deaths appear
- 13:13Speaker 1: to be overdose related deaths, while one remains unknown.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Now, it turns out, if you check the actual track
- 13:21Speaker 2: record here, the police had to shoot one guy and
- 13:24Speaker 2: it looks like they were totally justified. While in the
- 13:28Speaker 2: same week Mam Donnie killed seventeen people with his dumb order.
- 13:32Speaker 2: He's responsible for killing seventeen people, leaving him out there
- 13:36Speaker 2: to freeze to death. I guess in his crazy, uh
- 13:39Speaker 2: kookie woke head, it thinks, well, it should be up
- 13:42Speaker 2: to the homeless man. It should be up to him.
- 13:45Speaker 2: He's not thinking straight. There's drugs, there's all kinds of things.
- 13:48Speaker 2: He's not rational. You can't leave it up to him.
- 13:50Speaker 2: And if it's going to get so cold that you'll
- 13:53Speaker 2: die no matter what he wants, you got to take him.
- 13:55Speaker 2: You got to take him to a shelter. So Mam
- 13:58Speaker 2: Donnie caused seventeen people to die, And you might wonder,
- 14:04Speaker 2: after the first ten and they knew it was ten.
- 14:08Speaker 2: After ten, wouldn't you have felt guilty, felt bad and
- 14:10Speaker 2: called the police and said, you know, I changed my mind.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Take him. He didn't. Now you got seventeen dead as
- 14:15Speaker 2: a result.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I think we are continuing to explore every avenue that
- 14:18Speaker 1: we have to keep New Yorkers warm, and that means
- 14:22Speaker 1: to ensuring that we are taking on any heat outages,
- 14:25Speaker 1: whether they be at NITA properties or any property across
- 14:27Speaker 1: the city, because we also know that there are a
- 14:29Speaker 1: number of comment outages over these past few days, and
- 14:32Speaker 1: then beyond that, to ensure that we have warming buses,
- 14:35Speaker 1: that we have warming centers, that we have safe have
- 14:37Speaker 1: in sites, shelters not only that are available, but also
- 14:40Speaker 1: that we are having outreach teams do the direct outreach
- 14:43Speaker 1: to connect homeless New Yorkers with Now.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell he just said, but
- 14:47Speaker 2: if you talk fast, it's a very effective technique. Somebody
- 14:50Speaker 2: says ask you something, you go, well, right away, you
- 14:56Speaker 2: sound like you don't know what you're talking about. But
- 14:58Speaker 2: if they ask you something, to go, oh man, when
- 15:00Speaker 2: you start talking a mile a minute, and you talk
- 15:02Speaker 2: really fast, and you talk like you never stop talking,
- 15:03Speaker 2: and it's a mile a minute. It sounds like you
- 15:05Speaker 2: must be very smart because who could talk that fast?
- 15:07Speaker 2: And you just throw in those words. We have various
- 15:09Speaker 2: outreach programs and they're doing outreach on the outreach team
- 15:12Speaker 2: and the outreach just talk fast and you sound brilliant.
- 15:15Speaker 2: But it's made a lot of mistakes. Now, the good
- 15:17Speaker 2: news is we have a new city council speaker. And
- 15:21Speaker 2: if you're the speaker of the city council, the head
- 15:23Speaker 2: of the city council, you have about as much power
- 15:25Speaker 2: as the mayor. She's a common sense I wouldn't say conservative,
- 15:29Speaker 2: she's a Democrat, but very common sense and a good
- 15:33Speaker 2: contrast to Mom Donnie. In fact, already she wants to
- 15:37Speaker 2: bring back the outdoor dining. On a day like this
- 15:40Speaker 2: or a week like this, you don't really think about
- 15:42Speaker 2: outdoor dining, but remember in the summer it's great and
- 15:45Speaker 2: it's a lot of money and revenue. It's money for
- 15:47Speaker 2: the restaurants. It helps the businesses. You know, if you're
- 15:49Speaker 2: a restaurant, you got thirty tables, yeah, do that. Outdoor
- 15:54Speaker 2: dining suddenly got an extra twenty tables outside you make
- 15:56Speaker 2: a lot more money. So the recently outdoor dining stopped
- 15:59Speaker 2: was the Adams administration. Typical government. You know, they made
- 16:04Speaker 2: it so tough. There were five thousand regulations, eight million regulations.
- 16:08Speaker 2: So the city council speaker wants to get rid of
- 16:10Speaker 2: all that and make it You'll still have to do
- 16:13Speaker 2: it to properly. But under the other system, the old administration,
- 16:18Speaker 2: there were thirty six hundred applications that were backed up
- 16:21Speaker 2: and you had to go to nineteen different departments. You
- 16:23Speaker 2: had to get approval for the Department of Transportation, the
- 16:27Speaker 2: local Community Board, the city Controller's office. You had to go.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So she's getting rid of all that red tape. Make
- 16:32Speaker 2: it easier for people to do. That's good news. Hey,
- 16:35Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one
- 16:38Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 16:42Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 16:44Speaker 6: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 16:46Speaker 6: time and tap the preset button. Now.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Now back to the Mark Simon show on wor.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Craig Pennsylvania. Craig,
- 16:57Speaker 2: how you doing, Hey, Mark goes it good.
- 17:01Speaker 6: I just wanted to let you know a friend of
- 17:03Speaker 6: mine I live in Pennsylvania and she does as well.
- 17:06Speaker 6: She went to the city to spend a couple of
- 17:09Speaker 6: days and she had her car with her and the
- 17:13Speaker 6: next thing, you know, she had got what happened, she
- 17:16Speaker 6: got she was over overstayed on the meter by about
- 17:20Speaker 6: ten fifteen minutes. Right when she got back to her car.
- 17:23Speaker 6: Not only was there a ticket, there was a there
- 17:26Speaker 6: was a one of those things that lock.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Your car up, a boot.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, so, I mean that's ridiculous. If you had
- 17:35Speaker 6: I'm saying, if you're all day, maybe you get a boot.
- 17:38Speaker 6: But to have that a ticket and a boot within
- 17:41Speaker 6: five or ten minutes, I think that's outrageous. Well, and
- 17:45Speaker 6: something should be done. Hopefully you can look into that.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And well, it's New York and she probably had Pennsylvania
- 17:51Speaker 2: plates right right, Well, don't don't come in here with
- 17:55Speaker 2: Pennsylvania plates and you're definitely getting a ticket.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it is outrageous. Well, it is, But
- 18:02Speaker 6: this is why people don't come to New York anymore.
- 18:04Speaker 5: You know.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I hate to break it to you can't even move outside.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It's so crowded. You can't ever find it fart, there's
- 18:09Speaker 2: people coming home. But listen, that's greedy Democrat run New York.
- 18:13Speaker 2: That's greedy hocal and greedy politicians looking to make money.
- 18:17Speaker 6: Somebody should try to do something to alleviate some of
- 18:20Speaker 6: these outrageous things that they do to people, you know,
- 18:24Speaker 6: not for they do to you.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Well, I understand, but you know, listen, you're right, but
- 18:29Speaker 2: you're wrong. Technically she is illegal. There, she's illegally parking.
- 18:35Speaker 6: I understand.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I know you should get the should be a grace
- 18:37Speaker 2: period of more than ten minutes. But technically she was
- 18:40Speaker 2: the wrong. Let's go to Steve and Tennessee. Steve, how
- 18:42Speaker 2: you're doing?
- 18:44Speaker 7: Okay, Listen, the mayor is clueless. Those people didn't die
- 18:49Speaker 7: from high per thermia. They died from hypoth thermia. Hyperthermia
- 18:55Speaker 7: and hip both thermia are complete opposite.
- 19:00Speaker 2: All right, what are you doctor? Fauci calmed down. We
- 19:02Speaker 2: got the point. We know what he meant. Are you
- 19:06Speaker 2: Are you a doctor?
- 19:07Speaker 7: No, I'm not, but I'm in the healthcare profession.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, very impressive. Works in a drugstore. Anyway, thanks
- 19:14Speaker 2: for calling. Take care. Let's go to Pat in Levittown. Pat,
- 19:18Speaker 2: how you doing I'm.
- 19:19Speaker 8: Doing well, thank you. I was just listening to that
- 19:22Speaker 8: bit before the commercial about the violence and the fellow
- 19:27Speaker 8: who got shot. Yes, psychiatric, Okay. I've been a nurse
- 19:31Speaker 8: for over sixty years, trained in Bellevue Hospital where we
- 19:34Speaker 8: used to have male violent whatever the people went there.
- 19:38Speaker 8: And at the same time as I was growing up,
- 19:40Speaker 8: Creedmore was open, King's Park was open. People were treated
- 19:44Speaker 8: with a lot more dignity being taken even though they
- 19:47Speaker 8: didn't want to to these psychiatric hospitals. I don't understand
- 19:52Speaker 8: how they think they're going to cure this problem of
- 19:55Speaker 8: people who are addicted or a psychotic. It's very sad
- 19:59Speaker 8: to see.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, No, you're absolutely right, it's true. Yeah, but listen,
- 20:02Speaker 2: behavior has changed over the years in every area of life.
- 20:05Speaker 2: People were much better behaved years ago. Even the maniacs,
- 20:09Speaker 2: even the psychos, are worse today than ever before. Hey,
- 20:11Speaker 2: when we come back, Jimmy Fayla, the great comedian, we'll
- 20:15Speaker 2: talk to him next on seven to ten WR.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Mister New York, Mark Simone wr.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Hey, Jimmy Fayla, the great comedian, the great talk show host.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He's on every night here on WR at nine o'clock.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Tonight every weeknight nine to midnight. He also does the
- 20:35Speaker 2: best late night show on television. It's on the Fox
- 20:38Speaker 2: News channel Saturday nights at ten. President Trump has become
- 20:41Speaker 2: a big fan watches every week. Jimmy Fayla, how you doing.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I'm great at you know what? I actually have to
- 20:48Speaker 3: thank you, so listen to this. Last week on the show,
- 20:50Speaker 3: I told anybody listening who wanted to come that we
- 20:53Speaker 3: have free tickets there at foxacross America dot com. We'll
- 20:56Speaker 3: dig this. We had six people in the crowd who
- 20:59Speaker 3: are like, hey, we heard.
- 21:00Speaker 7: You on Simon and we got tickets.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Wow.
- 21:03Speaker 5: So that yeah, that's the good news. Six of your
- 21:06Speaker 5: fans made it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: To my show.
- 21:07Speaker 3: We did have to throw them out. They got a
- 21:09Speaker 3: little rowdy kid. They were great. But I you know,
- 21:13Speaker 3: anybody listening to try said airy you every want to
- 21:15Speaker 3: come watch the show?
- 21:16Speaker 5: We get Sergeant Slaughter this weekend.
- 21:17Speaker 3: It's Super Bowl weekend and the tickets are free as
- 21:19Speaker 3: Box across America dot com.
- 21:21Speaker 5: I owe you like a commission or something.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Simon, come on, and when do you do it? It's
- 21:24Speaker 2: not it's Friday.
- 21:26Speaker 3: We actually take the show. We take the show Friday
- 21:28Speaker 3: night because they've got to be able to beep out
- 21:30Speaker 3: all the horrible things that might have along the way.
- 21:33Speaker 5: But we take Friday night at Fox News.
- 21:35Speaker 3: You're always welcome to.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Come, so people can get a couple of tickets. That'd
- 21:38Speaker 2: be a great Friday night date in the middle of
- 21:40Speaker 2: the city. Go see Jimmy Fail. The show absolutely and
- 21:44Speaker 2: when they shoot the shot of the audience, President Trump
- 21:47Speaker 2: will be looking at you. He loves that show.
- 21:50Speaker 3: That is a true story. That's something that's something crazy
- 21:52Speaker 3: to think about. Is you know, it's nice to get
- 21:55Speaker 3: a Trump tweet saying you're good, but you also realize
- 21:58Speaker 3: you're one joke away from getting a Trump tweet saying
- 22:00Speaker 3: the opposite.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Living on a razor's edge. Here, Hey, super Bowl Sunday.
- 22:07Speaker 2: What do you do for the Super Bowl?
- 22:10Speaker 3: Oh? So you know for real? I grew up in
- 22:13Speaker 3: like a real Italian house where depending on who wins,
- 22:17Speaker 3: some of us might be going into hiding for like
- 22:19Speaker 3: three weeks. There's a lot of money, a lot of
- 22:22Speaker 3: money being bed at the failing half. There's a lot
- 22:24Speaker 3: of food. I'm psyched up. I don't have a lot
- 22:27Speaker 3: to offer people by way of analysis. This is what
- 22:30Speaker 3: I can tell you Okay, I've been to Seattle. Based
- 22:33Speaker 3: on the looks of things, I'm pretty sure the space
- 22:35Speaker 3: needle is filled with heroin.
- 22:37Speaker 5: It's a mess New England for people who don't know.
- 22:42Speaker 3: It's very cold and it's very white. It's like a
- 22:45Speaker 3: protest in Minneapolis.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so Sunday night would be the big game. You'll
- 22:50Speaker 2: be on Saturday night, and of course you're here on
- 22:52Speaker 2: WR every weeknight at nine o'clock the Grammys. What do
- 22:59Speaker 2: you think that Billie Eilish.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Oh, it was so funny, like the whole stolen Land thing.
- 23:07Speaker 5: And I'm so glad she got mocked for it, because
- 23:10Speaker 5: maybe this sends.
- 23:11Speaker 3: A message to the next round of celebrities that they
- 23:13Speaker 3: don't actually have to do this garbage. Like between the
- 23:17Speaker 3: pins got there's so many different social justice pins. They
- 23:21Speaker 3: look like waitresses at Friday, you know what I mean.
- 23:24Speaker 3: It's like you might as well wear suspenders on the
- 23:26Speaker 3: red carpet with all the flare these ladies are sporting
- 23:29Speaker 3: from Ukraine and Palestine and now the freaking abolish ice thing.
- 23:33Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 23:34Speaker 3: So I thought it was funny, but again, it's like
- 23:39Speaker 3: back to that point of Billie Eilish. We all know
- 23:41Speaker 3: they're not giving back the land, So why would you
- 23:44Speaker 3: say it Mark, Because in theory, when you say like
- 23:46Speaker 3: this this, we're here on stolen land. If you're not
- 23:49Speaker 3: giving it back, you're just literally saying ha haa, we
- 23:52Speaker 3: took it from you.
- 23:54Speaker 5: It was like you're torking them.
- 23:56Speaker 3: You know, you're not being an ally.
- 23:58Speaker 5: It's like you're spiking the football.
- 24:00Speaker 7: Hey, I just want to point out.
- 24:01Speaker 5: That we didn't pay anything for this. It's good.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but again it's Billie Eilish. You know, who needs
- 24:07Speaker 2: her speaking about the politicals. It's like asking her about
- 24:09Speaker 2: the FED rate change. I mean, who would want her
- 24:13Speaker 2: opinion on anything except nobody?
- 24:17Speaker 7: But that's what I mean.
- 24:17Speaker 5: It's like the Grammys were the first music.
- 24:19Speaker 3: Show that was better with the sound off.
- 24:21Speaker 5: It was bizarre.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Also, as one of the great comedians in the world,
- 24:27Speaker 2: what the hell do they have Trevor Noah hosting that for?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Is he really a comedian?
- 24:32Speaker 3: I know? And he's like such a stiff like Trevor
- 24:36Speaker 3: Noah is where like the Disney Hall of Presidents would
- 24:39Speaker 3: go to feel charismatic, you know, those like wooden presidents
- 24:43Speaker 3: barely have move It's like they look at Trevor Noah,
- 24:47Speaker 3: and they you know, they look like Olympians. He's just
- 24:49Speaker 3: such a stiff and every joke he delivers he has
- 24:53Speaker 3: like this kind of throwaway energy and it's just so
- 24:56Speaker 3: hard to care because he doesn't care.
- 25:00Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 25:01Speaker 3: And it's like when it comes to the Grammys, right,
- 25:04Speaker 3: it's actually, in theory, the greatest comedy gig in the
- 25:07Speaker 3: world because you have all of this musical talent and
- 25:10Speaker 3: everyone's heard of them, so there's jokes to be told,
- 25:13Speaker 3: the people know the songs, the vibe is good, and
- 25:16Speaker 3: then they bring this guy out there.
- 25:18Speaker 5: It's like, you know what it.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Reminds me of.
- 25:19Speaker 5: I hate to say it, but it reminds me of
- 25:21Speaker 5: like a Biden speech.
- 25:22Speaker 3: You remember how a Biden speech, like the band would
- 25:24Speaker 3: play and people would stand up and er, and then
- 25:27Speaker 3: this guy would go the wrong way and they have
- 25:29Speaker 3: to drag him back to the podium. Yeah, we're just
- 25:32Speaker 3: like understaffed in this one area.
- 25:35Speaker 2: But a great comedian comes out like you in a
- 25:37Speaker 2: big bubbly smile, like a real yeah fun Adam. He
- 25:40Speaker 2: comes out with that elitist smirk kind of look on
- 25:43Speaker 2: his face, like I'm smarter than you. It really doesn't
- 25:47Speaker 2: work for people. It's like that John Stewart, I'm smarter
- 25:50Speaker 2: than you kind of attitude.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody wants that because the truth is, like Mark, when.
- 25:56Speaker 5: You get into comedy, right, you know, we're clowns.
- 25:58Speaker 3: We say this all the time. Like Rob Any Dangerfield,
- 26:00Speaker 3: as successful as he was, his catchphrase was I don't
- 26:03Speaker 3: get no respect. He never showed up and said I
- 26:06Speaker 3: know what we need to do with the border. I
- 26:08Speaker 3: didn't say that, you know what.
- 26:10Speaker 5: I mean?
- 26:11Speaker 3: The bananas to me, And that's the part I think
- 26:13Speaker 3: it's so stupid. It's like comics. We've entered a profession
- 26:17Speaker 3: where we actually get paid in chicken fingers the first
- 26:20Speaker 3: five years. Like, we're not economists, Mark, There's got to
- 26:24Speaker 3: be a better wage out there than dipping sauce. We
- 26:27Speaker 3: haven't figured it out as a profession yet, and yet
- 26:30Speaker 3: they're lecturing on the economy. It's bananas.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Yeah, speaking of comedy, you're on tour, right, You tour
- 26:35Speaker 2: all over the country right every weekend?
- 26:37Speaker 3: Oh yes, yes, ma'am. I just got back from Wichita, Kansas.
- 26:42Speaker 3: And that was not an easy gig to get to.
- 26:44Speaker 3: My GPS actually told me to fire my agent. It
- 26:48Speaker 3: was really tricky.
- 26:50Speaker 2: So but make sure you listen tonight nine to midnight,
- 26:54Speaker 2: Great show every weeknight on w r watch him every
- 26:58Speaker 2: Saturday night on the Fox News channel at ten o'clock.
- 27:02Speaker 2: And now, how would you rate mayor Mom Donnie? I
- 27:04Speaker 2: will say, today all the garbage was picked up on
- 27:07Speaker 2: our street here.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Yeah, finally, I mean, did you see last week, Mom
- 27:12Speaker 3: Donnie left so much trash on the streets. The rats
- 27:14Speaker 3: are on ozempic like it's not good soon. It's that
- 27:17Speaker 3: you're not supposed to a rat on a treadmill.
- 27:19Speaker 5: But under the Mom Donnie administration, anything's possible.
- 27:23Speaker 3: So I don't know. I hope he gets his act together.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I mean I do root for the city. I just
- 27:27Speaker 3: don't have high hopes.
- 27:29Speaker 2: So what about Minnesota. They're pulling out seven hundred dice
- 27:32Speaker 2: agents that President Trump says, maybe we need a softer touch.
- 27:35Speaker 2: It looks like it's getting dialed down a little in
- 27:37Speaker 2: a nice.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Way, right, Yeah, Because the thing about it is Tom
- 27:41Speaker 3: Holman really is the adult in the room. You know,
- 27:45Speaker 3: he served under six presidents. Obviously we all talk about
- 27:48Speaker 3: how he was awarded under Obama for the deportations, but
- 27:51Speaker 3: like when he talks He doesn't talk to the politics
- 27:54Speaker 3: of the moment. He talks to the Hey, we're here
- 27:56Speaker 3: to get bad guys. You're allowed to protest, but help
- 27:59Speaker 3: us out so we can make the community safer. He's
- 28:01Speaker 3: basically saying what their leaders should have been saying. But
- 28:05Speaker 3: as you know, they wanted this chaos man, because what
- 28:08Speaker 3: the Democrats like to do is set the world on
- 28:10Speaker 3: fire and then go look how crazy the country is
- 28:13Speaker 3: under Trump.
- 28:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 28:15Speaker 3: But the point is they're setting the fire in hopes
- 28:17Speaker 3: that you'll vote for them to calm things down. So
- 28:19Speaker 3: who are they really but arsonists trying to get paid.
- 28:23Speaker 7: For putting out their own fire.
- 28:25Speaker 5: It's nuts.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Hey, yesday, I know yesterday last night, no mention that
- 28:30Speaker 2: don Lemon. You think he's getting upset that he's not
- 28:33Speaker 2: getting the the coverage he needs get his career back.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not good. That means I'm going to see
- 28:39Speaker 3: him at church this weekend. If you're picking up he
- 28:46Speaker 3: wants that attention, he'll be bad.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Well, you can listen to Jimmy Fail every night at
- 28:51Speaker 2: nine o'clock on w o R. What he got on
- 28:53Speaker 2: tonight's show.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Oh, tonight's a crazy one. So we just had with
- 28:59Speaker 3: all of this crazy Minneapolis stuff. We just had Homan
- 29:02Speaker 3: on last week, but I'm told we're getting a return
- 29:04Speaker 3: appearance later tonight, so I'll get the inside on what's
- 29:08Speaker 3: happening from Tom Holman himself, with any luck at nine pm.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Now we've all had whatever we have Tom Homan on.
- 29:15Speaker 2: There's always a contest. See if anybody can make him laugh.
- 29:18Speaker 2: It's impossible. I think you're the only guy that ever
- 29:20Speaker 2: did it, because it's otherwise impossible to get the guy
- 29:22Speaker 2: to laugh.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:23Speaker 3: No, I can break him up a little bit, but
- 29:25Speaker 3: he's also threatened to beat me up a few times
- 29:27Speaker 3: with the in and yang.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Yeah. So, and where you're gonna Where are you gonna
- 29:32Speaker 2: be appearing next? You're always on tour all over the place.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Oh man. So the next thing I gotta do, okay,
- 29:38Speaker 3: is I'm going to the Capitol Theater in Rome, New
- 29:41Speaker 3: York again. Talk about my agent. He's like, yeah, book
- 29:44Speaker 3: you in Rome. I was like, oh wow, but I
- 29:46Speaker 3: get my dat fort He's like, no, no, New York.
- 29:48Speaker 3: I'll be Rome, New York, and I'm north of Utica
- 29:53Speaker 3: in that region like the Mohawk Valley region. A lot
- 29:56Speaker 3: of good Italians would up there for real, but I'll
- 29:58Speaker 3: be there.
- 29:58Speaker 5: And then I got to go to Saint.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Louk with Reno, back to Vegas, and then I am
- 30:04Speaker 3: in Norfolk, Nebraska, home of Johnny Carson. I can't wait.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, hey, have you read the new Johnny Carson
- 30:10Speaker 2: book by Mark Melcoff?
- 30:12Speaker 3: Of course I have, with the one where they quote
- 30:14Speaker 3: Mark that Mark Simone character. I love that book.
- 30:16Speaker 2: That's amazing, best book ever on Johnny Carson. Unbelievable ever. Yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 2: and you are the closest thing to Johnny Carson in
- 30:23Speaker 2: that the only show on television Saturday nights with a monologue.
- 30:27Speaker 2: There's a joke about the left, of joke about that right.
- 30:29Speaker 2: It's very balanced. It's exactly what Carson would have done.
- 30:33Speaker 2: And well, thanks, And.
- 30:34Speaker 3: If you keep comparing me to Carson, I guess that
- 30:36Speaker 3: means I can have three more wives. So I'm excited.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Go.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Well, listen to Jimmy Fayler tonight nine to midnight right
- 30:43Speaker 2: here on w r every weeknight nine to midnight, and
- 30:46Speaker 2: watch his TV show Best Late Night Show Saturday nights
- 30:49Speaker 2: at ten, Fox News Channel. Jimmy Fayla, thanks for being
- 30:52Speaker 2: with us. You're the best.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Mark.
- 30:54Speaker 5: Thanks buddy, all.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Right, take care. Yeah, that book on Johnny Carson is
- 30:58Speaker 2: the best book ever. It's the most definitive book on
- 31:01Speaker 2: Johnny Carson. In fact, the author will be with us
- 31:04Speaker 2: on tomorrow show. It's called Love Johnny Carson. Hey, I
- 31:07Speaker 2: don't forget Jimmy Falo tonight at nine o'clock, and don't
- 31:11Speaker 2: forget Buck and Clay. They'll be here at noon today
- 31:14Speaker 2: right after the news on seven to ten. Wr mister
- 31:19Speaker 2: New York mar Simone, he's on seven tenor well. Hey.
- 31:25Speaker 3: In the.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Savannah Guthrie mother Nancy Guthrie, the kidnapping, some new revelations.
- 31:33Speaker 2: She had a pacemaker and it was sink to her
- 31:38Speaker 2: iPhone and they know that it stopped. The sink to
- 31:43Speaker 2: the iPhone stopped at two am, so they believe that
- 31:46Speaker 2: was the time of the kidnapping, that at two am
- 31:49Speaker 2: they took her away and that's why it stopped syncing
- 31:52Speaker 2: with the iPhone. But now it's been revealed that apparently
- 31:56Speaker 2: at two am the pacemaker had a big spike. It
- 31:59Speaker 2: took a bit spike up all of a sudden, which
- 32:03Speaker 2: they think would show that she was in a struggle,
- 32:06Speaker 2: a struggle that make her heart rates surge and that's
- 32:09Speaker 2: why the pacemaker had that big spike at two am.
- 32:12Speaker 2: So that's very unpleasant news. Yeah, cardiologists confirm that she
- 32:19Speaker 2: must have been in a physical struggle to create that
- 32:22Speaker 2: sudden spike in the pacemaker, sudden rapid heartbeat. It took
- 32:26Speaker 2: place at two am. So once again, the police authorities,
- 32:30Speaker 2: FBI there on the ground. They're right now. They're looking
- 32:33Speaker 2: for people that she knew. For some reason, they think
- 32:38Speaker 2: it might have been somebody she knew, not necessarily a friend,
- 32:41Speaker 2: but just somebody, somebody that worked in the house, somebody
- 32:43Speaker 2: that had been in the house, somebody that knew her
- 32:46Speaker 2: from somewhere. They're looking at all those they're trying to
- 32:48Speaker 2: trace down all of that kind of stuff. The FBI
- 32:52Speaker 2: has tremendous amount of agents on the case. The President
- 32:56Speaker 2: himself called Savannah Guthrie and said he's gonna put the
- 33:02Speaker 2: FBI on the case as many FBI agents as they needed.
- 33:06Speaker 2: The FBI director himself, Cash Bettel, on his way there
- 33:09Speaker 2: right now to take charge of this. So we'll see
- 33:12Speaker 2: what happens. Hey today about thirty three degrees, it's tomorrow.
- 33:17Speaker 2: You got a problem. Tomorrow night. There's gonna be some
- 33:20Speaker 2: kind of snow. It should not be bad. It should
- 33:23Speaker 2: be maybe up to an inch. That's the current forecast.
- 33:26Speaker 2: That will snow Tomorrow night into Saturday morning, overnight Tomorrow
- 33:29Speaker 2: Friday a little. It's probably just at the most an inch.
- 33:34Speaker 2: But Saturday Sunday could be the coldest days of the year.
