  off to the, the, the new generations, giving them a

  chance to sort of experience what we did.

  And I'm seeing even younger fans, like I said, sort of come

  out of the woodworks and be like, oh, this is awesome.

  So like I said, the feedback we got from this was was just

  I I feel hopeful that there is this like this attraction to it

  kind of like igniting something in in all of us that we maybe

  forgot about in a way then. So it is cool because like

  obviously a lot of people our age are, are having kids and, or

  have kids that are getting into that kind of stuff.

  And it's just, it's wholesome, man.

  And it gets back to the roots. I think that's what she talked

  about as well. It's just like, it's just about

  like pure baseball in its purest form in a way.

  If you know that I think the world looks a bit different to

  where we don't necessarily get to see kids going out and just
• 5:25
  playing pick up games or wiffle ball or whatever the way we used

  to as kids. And maybe this is some type of
• 5:32
  form of that. And I think that's cool.

  And there's, I mean, they got some cool stuff on the horizon.

  I still haven't checked out the Football 1 yet, but I just felt

  like what they're doing, they're good people too.

  They're awesome to us. When we met them.

  about so they don't have to talk about the fact that the Red Sox

  just lost a Series, A crucial series to the Oakland A's.

  But that's neither here nor there.

  The news of Clayton Kershaw announcing his retirement at the

  conclusion of the 2025 season. I hate it.

  I hate this so much. I get it, but I hate it.

  I get it because like we talked about, when there's somebody,

  anybody really, but somebody of Clayton Kershaw's stature with
• 9:20
  his resume, with, you know, skill set history as a player,

  you have to assume that they want to be able to go out on

  their own terms. And this I think, is just about
• 9:35
  as best case scenario as you could imagine for Kershaw having
• 9:39
  a a very good year at this stage of his career.

  However, for that very reason, I hate it.

  I'm like, could, can we not just stretch this out?

  Give me another one of those one year contracts or maybe 2?

  I think it's, I think it's less about me wanting to.

  I mean, I definitely want to see Clayton Kershaw stick around,

  but I think it's less about that and me more so having to come to

  terms with the fact that we're just getting old, man.

  stick around so we don't feel that much older with one more

  legend from our generation hanging them up like is it, can

  that he's been able to stay health healthy.

  I think he's very self aware of who he is, where his game is,

  where everything is at the moment.

  I need him. Well, that honestly, yeah, great

  point. They do need him.

  They're going to need everything that Clayton Kershaw can give

  them. But I think as we, you know,

  sort of close the book on this career, on this legacy, it's

  like, can you go out with a bang in a period of the season in

  which you've given us quite literally nothing?

  If you can do that, I think it's going I'm, I mean, not as a

  whole. It's not going to entirely shift

  the narrative as it pertains. There it is.

  for when I exceed that that total.

  this postseason, it's not going to entirely change the the

  postseason. However, I think it will at the

  very least maybe lessen the sourness in people's mouths,

  specifically Dodgers fans. But I think people that are just

  generally Clayton Kershaw fans that look at that and be like

  this guy's argument for being one of the best of all time is

  airtight. But you can't ignore October.

  And I think if he can at least go out with, you know, some,

  some sort of pride in the, in that respect, I, I think it

  would it, it would leave a better taste in people's mouth,

  that's all. For those wondering career in

  the postseason, he's 13 and 13449 ERA, 213 strikeouts in 39

  appearances. There's been worse.

  No, yeah, you're right. And honestly, to say given, to

  say given literally nothing, that's OK.

  That's maybe a little strong, but when you compare it to his

  body of work in the regular season, again, as one of the

  best of our generation, one of the best of all time, it's, it's

  like, where's the disconnect? I don't understand.

  Like what is it? Is it because the lights are too

  bright? I'd, I have a hard time

  imagining that being the case because you're in LA.

  a, I would imagine a greater expectation, higher standards,

  but I just don't know. And he's been there his whole

  But he has been in one of the largest markets in baseball his
