- 0:05Good morning, Good morning family God. Welcome back to the Morning Devo.
- 0:08So good to see you in the morning on these sessions. Man, Morning
- 0:12Devo. We've been going strong or glory to God by the grace of God
- 0:16right for years now. So praise the Lord Amen for what he's doing,
- 0:21what he continues to do, and the power of his word today for a
- 0:25morning Devo. I think this is a little heavier than normal, Amen,
- 0:30but this is what the Lord put in my heart and in my mind to
- 0:34speak on this morning. And grace yourself because this is something I believe that
- 0:39if we get a nice grip and understanding on this, will really change some
- 0:45ideas that we probably would have that I had for sure about the cross and
- 0:50the crown. The cross and the crown. When you think about the cross,
- 0:54at least when I think about the cross, I don't think about something
- 0:57real pretty at all. Maybe some people could think of what Jesus did as
- 1:03something beautiful Amen, which it is Amen in its entirety. But the cross
- 1:08itself right represents something you know, cruel, and what happened on the cross
- 1:19wasn't pretty. It was ugly, and from that cross that represents what the
- 1:23Lord Jesus did right for us, for me and for you. Amen.
- 1:29Now we could have a crown. Amen. I'm gonna put that together in
- 1:33a minute. I just want to welcome everybody. Good morning to those who
- 1:37are listening and watching. For those who are watching on social media platforms and
- 1:42on YouTube, God bless you again. And also for those who are listening
- 1:45at Soul Winners with a z RG amen cele Ratio network. They have Valley's
- 1:49number one urban gospel music station online since two thousand and eight. Welcome back
- 1:55to the Morning Sessions, Amen, the morning Devo. So my question is
- 1:57this, is it worth remaining faithful to Christ? Think about it? Is
- 2:04it worth remaining faithful to Christ even through hard times? Even through hard times?
- 2:14We're gonna be in James Chapter one, verse number twelve, even through
- 2:17hard times? Are you faithful to Jesus even through hard times? I know
- 2:22it's easy to be faithful to the Lord to God, Amen, when everything's
- 2:25all good, everything's gravy. And what about the times Amen, on one,
- 2:30it's not so easy. What about the times when you're presented with your
- 2:34own cross, when your own sacrifice. What about the times that, even
- 2:38though you know you'll get a crown for doing something according to the Lord,
- 2:44according to what he wants to you to do. Amen. But when hard
- 2:46times come, are you still faithful? Think about it? Amen? I
- 2:51see you, Kevin, God bless you man. Welcome to the morning,
- 2:53Devo, Welcome back. Push ups got you looking ripped? Listen man,
- 3:00push ups that I'm doing for Saint Jude's during this time at my age.
- 3:05Amen. It's a struggle, but it's so worth it, Amen. And
- 3:08I gave my words, so I'm just going through with it. So thank
- 3:12you so much for coming through and noticing what I'm doing with the push up
- 3:15challenge. Amen. So Kevin's talking about at this time of the recording,
- 3:21for whatever time you listen or watch, Amen, I'm attempting three thousand push
- 3:25ups for the month of March from the time it is recording. So I
- 3:30know I can't I would like to date these recordings because somebody might be listening
- 3:35and watching this a year from the time I recorded it, Amen. But
- 3:38from the time it is recording, I'm attempting three thousand push ups. All
- 3:42glory to God if he allows it, Amen. Is for a good cause.
- 3:46If you want more information about that, you could just follow me on
- 3:47my social media platforms, and you'll know what I'm talking about. Amen.
- 3:52It's good morning, brother Kevin. Amen. So let me show it before
- 3:58we get it further. Let me just remind you about the cross. But
- 4:02I found in my notes about the cross across of Christ. The cross is
- 4:08a symbol of the ultimate trial, painful. Right, that's not something beautiful,
- 4:15right, being in pain torturous? Right? Who wants to be tortured?
- 4:21I don't. I don't think you want to be tortured, humiliating and
- 4:26agonizing death. So when you see the symbol of the cross, as a
- 4:32believer, we know that Jesus, our Lord, is not on that cross
- 4:39anymore. You see those chains Jesus pieces, we call it Jesus depend on
- 4:46the cross still, Amen, I guess it is to remember what he did.
- 4:51But the ultimate remembrance that Jesus said and the word of God is to
- 4:56remember him at communion, right, that his body was broken for us and
- 5:02his blood was spilled for us at the communion. He said, do this
- 5:05in remembrance of me. He knew he was coming back, he knew that
- 5:13he wasn't going to stay on that cross. But that's what it represents.
- 5:16That's what we see on the Cross. We see pain, trial, torture,
- 5:24humiliation, agonizing death. I know this is happy for more than Devo,
- 5:28but I want you to track with me so you could get the idea.
- 5:31Right. So, because of that, because of the Cross and us
- 5:36clinging to what Jesus did, the resurrected Christ, right when we go through
- 5:44some things, I want to read it in James chapter number one, verse
- 5:47twelve. There's a crown coming and there's another verse that I'm gonna give you
- 5:51that compliments James one twelve, so you could get a grasp of what I'm
- 5:56saying this morning. So if you have any questions, comments, earns,
- 6:00any prayer requests, don't hesitate to leave it on a live chat. That's
- 6:02what we're here for, Amen. We're here to communicate, to be in
- 6:06a community, a safe place, no judgment, no debates, no argument,
- 6:12just straight up word of God. To devote some time to the Lord
- 6:15Jesus by way of his word and by way of his Holy Spirit. Amen.
- 6:19But we're doing the thing. And what did I just do? I
- 6:23think I just I just do what I think I did. I think I
- 6:28just stopped my broadcast on the player he's still there. I'm leaving alone.
- 6:41I think it's still there. I'm gonna keep that on. I think I
- 6:45stopped something here. But anyway, let's go for it. We're gonna pray
- 6:48first. After we pray, we shut us out for like sixty seconds.
- 6:51Then when we come back on the other side of the sixty seconds, we'll
- 6:57get right into what we got for today. Amen. James, Chapter number
- 7:00one, verse number twelve. Father, thank you so much for this time,
- 7:04for this opportunity, for this amazing grace that you have allowed us to
- 7:10experience so far in our life. Thank you, Lo God, for every
- 7:13single person that's watching and listening right now, that's listening right now, I
- 7:16pray Low God a hedge protection over them. I pray Low God, that
- 7:19you would show them your grace and your mercy, and that you, Lo
- 7:23God, would teach them by way of Holy Spirit, just the way you
- 7:26teach me by way of Holy Spirit. Thank you for what you did on
- 7:28across, Lord Jesus, because what you did on across so many years ago
- 7:31allows us to get a crown, a crown that James talks about and the
- 7:35crown that the scripture talks about. And we're gonna be presented that today this
- 7:42morning. Lo, God, so I speak life according to your word over
- 7:45every single person right now on the other side of the screen and on the
- 7:47other side of this mic, that you would love, God, help us
- 7:50to grow in the faith and to be more than what we consider ourselves to
- 7:57be according to your word, that we will be exactly who would call us
- 8:00to be, and we would be something powerful in this world that we're living
- 8:05in because of Your spirit in us in Jesus name, Amen and amen justin
- 8:11I see you, Man, God blessed, Good morning, God, bless
- 8:13you. Welcome back to the morning DeVos because you see my friend and my
- 8:16brother. So listen, let's go for it. Sixty seconds. Help me
- 8:18share this out so as many people as possible. If you know people right
- 8:22now that are not on social media like that, just send them straight to
- 8:26live that. So winners with a z o orgy or you could send them
- 8:28to so winners with a z o orgy, just send them the link and
- 8:31be like, yo, I want you to check this out and you'll be
- 8:33surprised what happens. But share this out on your socials and your pages and
- 8:37your groups, and after the sixty seconds. I'll be right back. S
- 10:00oh man, oh man, oh man, your voices in the bad that's
- 10:03moved, its monitoring the sounds. It's weird that I literally think, I
- 10:11what you call it, stop the stream from my radio network. I don't
- 10:16see the player anymore. I don't see my little meter that usually slides across
- 10:22the things. So I'm a little nervous of thinking that I stopped stream,
- 10:26which is weird right now that I don't see. But it's still playing.
- 10:31So far, so good. If I have to restart, I'll restarted my
- 10:35apologies. So let's go for it. Hey man, Let's see what the
- 10:37word of Gud has for us today. James, Chapter number one, verse
- 10:41number twelve. And the question is is it worth remaining faithful to Christ Jesus
- 10:46even through hard times? That's the kicker, Even through hard times. I
- 10:52know it's easy when the times are good, Well what about hard times?
- 10:56Jesus showed us and demonstrated his own love on across for us, and he
- 11:01died, and three days later he rose again. And I believe that resurrection
- 11:05power is still available to every single one of us who put our trust and
- 11:09hope and faith in him. Amen, we still have that resurrection power.
- 11:13Amen. Sister Joanne, I see you. Good morning, God bless you.
- 11:16Welcome back to the morning. Devo. Elda Katina, God bless you.
- 11:20Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo.
- 11:24Amen. So let's just keep on going. Let me just see right here,
- 11:30if still good on the streams. Amen. And so just a little
- 11:39early in my bad so let me just quickly quickly saym put this up on
- 11:45that way. Everybody. It's still good here. Amen. It's like we're
- 11:50running everywhere. But see on my control panel here you would be like,
- 11:56how is this still going when something is turned off? Right now? Amen,
- 12:01So just give me one second, my apologies. This is what happens
- 12:05when you're live early in the morning, Amen, multitasking. But God is
- 12:09good, He's good. It's so worth the effort. Amen, is so
- 12:13worth doing what I'm doing. Amen. And I know that first first part
- 12:18of your day. Amen, things will look different, you'll feel different,
- 12:22you'll respond different when you're going through hard times and trials because you know something
- 12:26something, You know that the Word of God is evident in your life because
- 12:31you're experiencing the power of Holy Spirit working through you. Amen. And you
- 12:37know about the cross, and now you're going to know about the crown.
- 12:41If you don't know about the crown of the whole thing. Amen. So
- 12:45we're gonna put this on the screen for those who are watching, for Joe's
- 12:46who are just listening, No problem, Amen, no worries. Are gonna
- 12:50read this word for word for you as well for all my audio listeners,
- 12:54my podcast listeners, and my live stream listeners are so winnings with Isa or
- 13:00ged No problem. We're gonna read a word for word, Amen, Cross
- 13:03and crown right here in the morning, Devot James Shatter. One verse twelve,
- 13:09the Bible says, blessed, happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God.
- 13:16Amen. That's what happens when you're blessed. Right, you have all
- 13:18of that. You're blessed, happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God.
- 13:24Is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted. And man,
- 13:31of course, this part where it says the man a man mankind both
- 13:37genders male and female. Right, we're blessed is the man who is steadfast
- 13:46under trial and perseveres when tempted. That templation could be a whole lot of
- 13:50things. You know, you know what your temptation is right now. You
- 13:56know what you're being tempted with. Right now, a man of God sees
- 13:58it. But when you steadfast and undertrial and persevere when tempted from when he
- 14:05has passed the test, he or she has passed the test and been approved.
- 14:11There's an approval. After we pass the test, he or she will
- 14:16receive the victor's crown. Amen. Go ahead and symbolize pulling a crown over
- 14:22your head. You receive the victor's crown of life, not of death,
- 14:26but of life. Wish the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- 14:33This is all a love message. God loved us so much that he sent
- 14:39his very best, the loved One. So we have the lover, the
- 14:43loved one, and the beloved. Amen, and we all receive this blessing
- 14:50because of what Jesus did, not because of what an evangelist, a prophet,
- 14:54a passive teacher. You know, apostle, no is what Jesus did.
- 15:03When we're under trial and we're going through temptation. The Bible is clear
- 15:07that we're going to be in trials and temptation. But we also know that
- 15:11God is not the one that's tempting us. We know that there's an enemy
- 15:16that's out there prowling around like a roaring lion. He wants to steal,
- 15:22kill and destroy. We know that's the enemy, the devil. We're not
- 15:26talking about him right now. We're talking about being the blessed of God,
- 15:31those who are going through trial and persevering through temptation and trial. When we
- 15:35pass the test, and we will pass the test, right and we're going
- 15:39to be approved, we're going to receive what the Bible calls the Victor's crown
- 15:45of life, which the Lord has promised. It's a promise, and whatever
- 15:50God promises, we can count on it. We could bank on it as
- 15:54promised to those who love him. A love message right here between Liz,
- 16:00love message his son. That's not beautiful. I can't see the cross as
- 16:04being something beautiful. I know people say, oh, the cross, what
- 16:08Jesus did was beautiful, yes, ultimately, But what happened on that cross
- 16:11man, that thing was not it was gruesome. Amen. It wasn't a
- 16:18beautiful thing to look at to see. He meant it was a place of
- 16:22it. It was something that the Lord did. They meant for us because
- 16:27he loved us and he demonstrated his love. He didn't only speak about loving
- 16:32us, he demonstrated his love for us. Amen. It's a big difference.
- 16:36So the cross is the symbol of the ultimate trial. Right, So
- 16:41Jesus sacrifice on the cross. When you think about it, to cling to
- 16:47that promise, how about when kids, right when you're when you were a
- 16:52kid. When I was a kid, we hung on to our parents' promise,
- 16:57like if my dad made and peace. He died when I was only
- 17:00fifteen years old, But when I was a kid, I remember being so
- 17:03close to him when he used to promise something. Amen, I used to
- 17:07cling to his promise. It's be like my pops promised that he's gonna do
- 17:11this, that and the third A pop's promise he's gonna get me a Gi
- 17:14Joe toy. My pops promise that he's gonna be with me to see that.
- 17:18My mom and my dad were married, so my dad was like a
- 17:22part time dad. So my mom allowed him to see his kids anytime.
- 17:26Me and my sister are from the same dad. My mom allowed him to
- 17:29see us anytime he wanted. Amen. So he took the opportunity a lot
- 17:33of times to see us, and when he would promise us something a man,
- 17:37he would come through with that promise. Whether or not it was a
- 17:40monetary promise or something about getting us something, a gift or a present,
- 17:44he came through as much as he could. Amen, he came through with
- 17:48that promise. Right. It's just a promise that we clung onto when we
- 17:52were kids, so we would hold on tight, and there was no way
- 18:00of letting go of what our dad spoke over us and promised. In the
- 18:06same way, how much more, when God promises, our heavenly father promises
- 18:11something that we should cling onto his promise because we know we could cling and
- 18:15hold tight to the Lord's promise. So in the same way, we should
- 18:21cling to Jesus and what he accomplished on the cross. Remember Jesus on the
- 18:25cross. He said it is finished. And he didn't say I'm finished.
- 18:29He said I'm done, man, I'm dying. I'm done. He said
- 18:32it is finished. Right. What he had promised his father, Amen to
- 18:36accomplish here was finished. Amen, the cross. He accomplished on the cross.
- 18:42What he did on the cross basically is our salvation, mine and your
- 18:48salvation. We're born again. If we are scared because of the suffering that
- 18:53we face, that I face, If I'm scared about man, I'm going
- 18:56to suffer for this amen. Reason reminds me of the cross of what Jesus
- 19:02did. Okay, man, was he afraid to do what he did?
- 19:07No, he was a lot concerned, But I don't think he was afraid.
- 19:11If he was afraid, I believe he would have ran from it,
- 19:14or he would have changed his mind and been like, I'm not doing this
- 19:18for those people that are guilty. Jesus knowing that he was innocent, Jesus
- 19:23the sinless man, he did not sin. He was a perfect demonstration of
- 19:29a life of a believer. So we're scared because of the suffering face,
- 19:33we should cling even tighter to what Jesus did on that cross. Think about
- 19:38it. Fear is the opposite of faith. Right, Fear tries to cancel
- 19:44our faith. The opposite of fear is faith. Faith is the opposite of
- 19:51fear. Perfect love that God showed us and demonstrated through his son Jesus.
- 19:56It's a perfect love demonstrated cast out all fear and anxiety and all of that.
- 20:02It actually goes away. The only way you feel that fear again is
- 20:06if you forget about the Cross, if you forget about the Savior, if
- 20:11you put God to the side, you're gonna start experiencing all these old feelings
- 20:15of temptation, fear, anxiety, depression. I'm not saying that you're gonna
- 20:19you know, that's all going to go away, pres though it could.
- 20:22And man, the much that you put your time into God's word, those
- 20:29things could just disappear. But in the meantime, while we're going through these
- 20:32things, right, we have a cross to think about. We have the
- 20:36crown that we know we get because of what the cross, what Jesus did
- 20:41on the cross, and what he accomplished on the cross for the Robert Diaz,
- 20:45God bless you. Good morning, brother new Born. So listen,
- 20:49Jesus he paid the price for our sins. You hear me say this all
- 20:53the time, that God paid the price for our sins. He paid a
- 20:56debt that he didn't owe, and we owe a debt that we couldn't pay.
- 21:02Jesus did that because he loved us, and he still loves us.
- 21:06He paid the price of our sins. He pardoned and forgave us. This
- 21:11is only this message I know a lot of people say, oh, this
- 21:14is a copy of ancient writings, and these people wrote this before, blah
- 21:18blah blah. Listen, this is only found in the scriptures. There's no
- 21:21redemptive message like the redemption message that the Lord Jesus Christ has. Mormons have
- 21:26something that they consider to be the same. Islams has something that they considered
- 21:32to be same. Jobah Witness has something that they considered to be the same.
- 21:36When in the scriptures that we're reading right now from the Apostle James inspired
- 21:41by Holy Spirit God, this is written for us to see and understand.
- 21:45He redeemed us, He made us holy, as sanctified us by his work,
- 21:51not ours. And we know that deep down inside. When these puffed
- 21:55up preachers are preaching said I did this and I did that, deep inside
- 21:57they know that it wasn't because of God and his grace and his mercy,
- 22:02right and his love. They wouldn't be doing anything, none of those things,
- 22:06none of those exploits. We can't do anything if it wasn't for the
- 22:08work of God on that cross. We couldn't get this crown of life,
- 22:12the Victor's crown, if it wasn't because of what Jesus did for us.
- 22:18He redeemed us, He made us holy, and he safetified us. Sanctify
- 22:22means being set apart for God's work here on this planet, right now,
- 22:26in real time, right his work, not ours. The result is salvation.
- 22:36And if we truly grasp that hold onto that, we would hang on
- 22:38to him for dear life. And we won't let go. Don't let go
- 22:44to the Lord from the Lord, don't let go of his hand, don't
- 22:45let go of his promises, don't let go of his word, don't let
- 22:48go of his blessing a man, don't let go of his hand. Amen,
- 22:53I know the heart of God is for us to believe and the one
- 22:59who he sent, right, the will of the Father is for us to
- 23:02believe in the one who he sent, the Lord Jesus Christ. Why you
- 23:04ever thought about that? Because he knows we're gonna have hard times, we
- 23:08gonna go through trials, tribulation, and we need someone to hold on to,
- 23:12someone that is with our spot or blemish, someone who doesn't lie,
- 23:15someone who doesn't die, someone who's truly in love with us, someone who
- 23:19demonstrated his own love and this and this that while we were still haters of
- 23:26God. While I'm just gonna talk about me, while I was a hater
- 23:30of God, Jesus still die for me, a man, He still died
- 23:33for you too. So because of all of this we saw in James,
- 23:38he says, who remains steadfast on the trial. That's what James says in
- 23:41James Chapam one, verse number twelve. Right, I'm gonna give you a
- 23:45bonus scripture to compliment what he just said. Revelation chapter two, verse number
- 23:52ten. Right, Okay, let's see if I could get it. John
- 23:56said something similar. See in Apostle James said, we're going to receive the
- 24:04crown of life. In Revelation two, chapter two, verse ten, John
- 24:10the Apostle said something similar. He said, do not fear what you are
- 24:15about to suffer. Behold, amen, the devil is about to throw some
- 24:22of you into prison, that you may be tested for ten days. You
- 24:30have tribulation. Be faithful unto death. I know this is heavy for a
- 24:36morning. Devo. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the
- 24:41crown of life. Right here it is mentioned again, the crown of life.
- 24:48People are giving up way too soon, or I believe this. I
- 24:52see it in the spirit that we might be one step away, like one
- 24:56step away a man of receiving that crown of life. And people are like,
- 25:03nah, I can't do this, no one. They give up right
- 25:04there and then on the other side, or they see that how close they
- 25:10were to the victor's crown, how close they were of getting through that trial
- 25:12and tribulation, how close they were to the promise of God, how close
- 25:15they were, Amen to accomplish what God set us to accomplish here on earth.
- 25:21They turn away one step away. Man, I don't want that to
- 25:23be me. I'm stubborn with my faith. Amen. I want to keep
- 25:27on going, no matter what trial it is, what tribulation it is.
- 25:30When I'm facing I know I'm so close, Amen to that crown of life.
- 25:37One day I want to receive that crown of life. Amen. And
- 25:40it's not going to come by way of prettiness all the time or just good
- 25:44times. It's gonna be some hard times. Amen, to brace itself right.
- 25:48Hard times are coming, the trials are coming, tribulation is coming.
- 25:52But guess what, We'll receive the crown of life because we are empowered,
- 25:56we are sanctified, We are called a man we are protect it. Don't
- 26:00forget about the protection of God, Psalm ninety one. If you're going through
- 26:03a trial, a tribulation, an issue right now that is life threatening,
- 26:08speak Psalm ninety one. Go on your scriptures, go to Psalm ninety one
- 26:12and speak that over your life and Psalm ninety one. Man, we'll protect
- 26:15the updown, left, right all around us. Amen. Man, what
- 26:21a protection that God shows us in Psalm ninety one. So go for it.
- 26:26Amen, that don't hesitate, don't stop, keep on moving forward.
- 26:30Amen. Definitely don't turn back and start picking up old things, because when
- 26:33you turn back and start picking up old things, Amen, you're kind of
- 26:37like delaying the process, and you're picking up old things, and those things
- 26:41usually are sin because you're turning back and you're picking up things from your past.
- 26:45And God is not even reminding us of our past. He's reminding us
- 26:49of what's happening is going to happen in the future. Amen. He wants
- 26:53to draw us close, cling to his promises, cling to his word,
- 26:57cling to his life life giving word. Amen, and we will receive the
- 27:03crown of life a man. Couple of more minutes here, So this crown
- 27:07of this crown is not like the crown of royalty. Amen, It's not
- 27:11that, but like the wreath of leaves. Then an athlete would have been
- 27:17rewarded for a victory. Member. If you looked at any Greek movies from
- 27:22back in the days when they wouldn't shoot track and field or any sports,
- 27:25it man, they would give them that reef, that crown. Amen,
- 27:27because they were victorious of what they were doing or what they were competing for.
- 27:32They became victorious and received that wreath of leaves. Amen, like an
- 27:37athlete been rewarded for a victory. It's a prize, a reward. What
- 27:44do we do to deserve that reward of eternal life? What did we actually
- 27:48do? God did it. He did what we couldn't do. We know
- 27:53we couldn't earn our salvation, but instead we trust what Jesus did for us
- 27:57on the cross, and because of what he did, we could receive something
- 28:03eternal life and a crown of life. Amen. True believers in Jesus Christ
- 28:07hang on step fastly and with perseverance, no matter what they are enduring now,
- 28:12because they know the reward is eturnal and guarantee. They know He's worth
- 28:17it. Jesus is worth it. God's worth it. I'm out of time,
- 28:21man, go to John. Excuse me, James, chapter one.
- 28:23Read the whole chapter for yourself. I want to just send you out with
- 28:26a blessing. Man. It's so windy outside. I think all the we
- 28:32did recycling days today, and I think I hear my stuff flying flying up
- 28:37the street. So you know, pray for me this morning. I'm gonna
- 28:38probably have to run up and down my block getting the plastics that I put
- 28:45out there last night. Amen. So random, right, and just pray
- 28:48for me though. Amen. So God bless you all, God keep you
- 28:52all, or remember always thank God is good. Peace
