Transcript
- 0:00Are you guys getting tired of hearing this? Yeah, it's Soliday season because
- 0:05I just love saying Dick read doc and anyway, it's such a great yea
- 0:10Amanda and I. Well, first of all, I need to bring up
- 0:12something that's very annoying about Amanda, because we're discussing when's right time to put
- 0:16up your Christmas decorations because an expert has come out and declared the perfect day,
- 0:22oh to put it all up. Okay, so I will make that
- 0:24big reveal in a moment. But Amanda, tell me again what you were
- 0:28thinking as far as, uh, you know, putting everything up. Oh,
- 0:31well, today I'm going to put up Christmas. Yeah. See,
- 0:35if you're like me, that hits your ears and makes you just want to
- 0:39just you think I am scratching a chalkboard right now with some long fingernails.
- 0:44Amanda says she's going to put up Christmas, and she's been going on for
- 0:49really for weeks now, just saying, oh, you know, I just
- 0:51I want to put up Christmas. But you know it's too warm or we
- 0:55have to get our Christmas out of the storage or blah blah, but you
- 0:58know, put up it. Christmas decorations, correct, Christmas tree, all
- 1:03of it. So there's a lot of things for Christmas that go into it.
- 1:06So I just say Christmas as though it's all of it. It's just
- 1:08all encompassing. It's the actual day, the holiday, it's the season,
- 1:12it's the decoration, it's the tree, it's it's all of it. It's
- 1:15the movie, it's Solide. And now that you've pointed it out that it
- 1:19drives you crazy, Oh yeah, I feel like I say it more and
- 1:23I do. I'm not doing it on purpose, Okay, right, I'm
- 1:26really not. I love that about you. But no, so you're about
- 1:29to tell us when is the right time? And I was all about doing
- 1:33it today before I went and got the kids. I want to at least
- 1:34put it up, and they can help decorate a little bit put it up,
- 1:38but I just can't stand it. It's just one thing. Well,
- 1:42I'm good to walk home just like Santa Claus, sprinkle some dust and it's
- 1:46up. Christmas is up. Fa la la la la la la la la.
- 1:49But it's supposed to be fifty or sixty degrees next week and that just
- 1:55feels so weird to have Christmas up. Yeah, it doesn't feel like Christmas.
- 2:00But they say these experts, man, these are holiday experts. I
- 2:02don't know how you get that job. But December third the perfect day and
- 2:07get out of here that so you have it up for a week. I
- 2:09mean, come on, I mean you got it's not worth it. You
- 2:12gotta let Thanksgiving be up for a little while, don't you. Nope,
- 2:16I just go right from basically Halloween. Now when I don't remember you saying
- 2:22it. But during Halloween, were you talking about putting up Halloween? I
- 2:24just put up Halloween, bike, That's what I'm saying. No, there
- 2:30was no lead up to it. I just did it. Christmas is just
- 2:31more of a are you nervous about pronouncing decoration? Is that what it is?
- 2:36You say? Decorps though, just so I don't fancy it's a season.
- 2:42Well, December third, you know, they say because of Advent.
- 2:44If you're a Christian faith, that's the that's the beginning of Advent. It's
- 2:49a Sunday Tuesday. You know you'll be able to just take the whole day
- 2:52and put up Christmas. And I get that, but I also feel because
- 2:57some people have so many decorations, and it is it is a little bit
- 3:01of a production to put up a Christmas decorations. People have so much Christmas,
- 3:06you know what, it's a it's a chore. But to put it
- 3:09up on December third and truly only get to enjoy it, especially if you're
- 3:14traveling or going anywhere for only a couple of weeks just feels it's just not
- 3:19enough Christmas for me. We're so different. I don't like having Christmas.
- 3:22I don't like storing a box of Christmas, you know what I mean.
- 3:25I'm very getting into sort of the older I get, the more like I
- 3:29guess minimal would be the word, see, and I feel like having stuff.
- 3:31I'm very minimal, very very minimal. I know it sounds like you
- 3:35got loads and loads of Christmas, but Christmas is one of those moments where
- 3:38you just that is the only time I take down certain decorations, put them
- 3:43up, do all of that because it's Christmas. I mean, you just
- 3:46you gotta lean into it. You gotta have fun. And I think too,
- 3:51once you have kids, maybe it'll change a little bit. Because even
- 3:53my kids are excited about the lights and well this will surprise you, Pike.
- 3:59They know what goes on the Christmas tree, so they're excited for that.
- 4:02I am a little anxious this year though, because our kids never mess
- 4:05with the Christmas tree. I actually had these little squirrel decorations on our Christmas
- 4:12tree for the past couple of years, and I told them if they,
- 4:15I mean, if they went near the Christmas tree, the squirrel would come
- 4:18out of and go, you can get them. He's threatening them with those
- 4:24fake squirrels. They never went near the Christmas tree to play with it.
- 4:29But now we have this puppy dog and she's gonna get after it. I
- 4:33have a feeling, well, that squirrel seems effective. Maybe you start using
- 4:35it for other like, you know, don't go in mommy's beds, the
- 4:39night stand by mommy's bed, there's a squirrel in there taking Amanda in the
- 4:43morning. Seven it's time, Amanda, It's time. I know you're excited.
- 4:48It's our favorite game, hypothetical situations that just puts you. The tests
- 4:53called what do you do who in your car? Feel free to answer seven
- 4:59one eight, We'll have to know what would he but a man? To
- 5:02go ahead? All right, your nephews they call you tt. They're really
- 5:09into t ball. They absolutely love t ball. The only problem is they
- 5:15don't have a coach. There is no one to run this two to five
- 5:18year old program. Liam and Thel. They give you a call. They
- 5:26picked up their telephone and Danielle, your sister, calls there's only one resort
- 5:31here. Would they get on the phone and they go, t T will
- 5:36you please please be my coach? It's only one day a week, Saturday
- 5:43mornings from six am to seven am, come on year round, and you
- 5:47only have to commit to one year as their head coach. So TT,
- 5:55I mean they're saying, please TT, just one year. Nobody else in
- 5:59the world can do this job. But what do you do? I might
- 6:03have missed it. What'd you say the pay was? There's no pay.
- 6:10It's for your nephews. This is a volume position. You said a year
- 6:14round, so literally one full calendar year, every Saturday from six am to
- 6:17seven a kid. We got two year olds playing te ball in the snow.
- 6:23Well they can they go inside. They have a great indoor facility as
- 6:26well. See that was all of course. I would come on now six
- 6:30am to seven am. How are you gonna say, no, I day
- 6:35six am is sleeping in. I just have to take it easy. Friday
- 6:39night t ball coach can be a little a little in the hurt tank.
- 6:45Yeah, sign me up. Oh, I'm so proud of you bike,
- 6:48Thank you. I was really not anticipating in that response. I mean,
- 6:51I've said yes to worst things, all right, Amanda. You're at the
- 6:57Wapiton Zoo with your family. Is that the chouldn't I believe it's what that
- 7:03one? Jahenkoba that one. I've never been there. Oh, it's an
- 7:08excellent zoo. You're looking at the gorilla exhibit. Now, they don't have
- 7:13one, but in the hypothetical situation when suddenly your daughter Sidney falls into the
- 7:18enclosure, Oh you're scared, the biggest gorilla of them all walks over and
- 7:26picks her up, holding her like a baby. The zoo keeper comes over
- 7:31and says, hey, listen, I know your daughter's in there. But
- 7:35the gorilla patrol they are forty five minutes out. They can't get here for
- 7:39forty five minutes to peacefully subdue the gorilla and get your daughter back. But
- 7:46the zookeeper looks at you and hands you a taser. Oh my gosh,
- 7:49stop it, or you can go in there yourself and take care of it.
- 7:56So ama ah, this is so harram A you it wasn't honor.
- 8:03I was hoping you wouldn't. What do you do? No, the gorilla
- 8:09is holding my holding Sid like a baby, just nice and peacefully yeap,
- 8:13rocking her like a baby. My mom is gonna freak out. I'm gonna
- 8:18freak out. I'm gonna I don't know if I could pull a taser.
- 8:22You don't think you can go one on one with a gorilla and with you
- 8:26having a taser. Yeah, I guess I'm gonna have to. I'm gonna
- 8:28have to go get Sid. I just don't know how i'd go about it.
- 8:31That's my thing I'm do I Yeah, I'm just gonna have to run
- 8:35in and what I said, I'm gonna jump in and go there. You
- 8:43go, just like distract it. I can think you're one of their own.
- 8:46Yeah, that's what I'm gonna try to do. In in and a
- 8:48way you are in a way, in a way I am. I see
- 8:52you're going in. Great, I'm going in. You know, I'm glad
- 8:54there was a peaceful resolution here because Harambi was being peaceful as well, and
- 8:58they shot. I knew. I knew you were going there all right,
- 9:03So you're sitting at home this evening, you can't sleep, typical night,
- 9:07and all of a sudden a man appears. You know every week we do
- 9:13this. You've got a man entering my bedroom, it seems like But anyway,
- 9:16go ahead, the last time somebody knocked on your door peacefully? Ok.
- 9:22This guy just appears. This guy, this just goes right at the
- 9:26end, edge of your bed. I'll be more, I'll be more exact
- 9:30where where else? All right, edge of your bed. Sits on the
- 9:33edge of the bed, looks at you and goes, well, hello,
- 9:37Pike, I'm great you. I'm granting you one wish. Oh it's a
- 9:43genie, got it? Well, not necessarily could be, damn, just
- 9:48a guy. Yeah, it's a guy who is going to grant you one
- 9:54wish. It will come true no matter what, no questions asked. You
- 9:58simply just have to make that wish and bam it comes true. That second,
- 10:05what are you gonna tell Dan Pike? So Pike, okay, yeah,
- 10:09there you go. Wish? What do you do? That was a
- 10:18long way to go just to say, hey, what you get one wish?
- 10:22Why you got a guy on the end of my bad? I mean,
- 10:24weird? He showed up there. You couldn't sleepy. He doesn't have
- 10:28any requests either, no questions. Good, there's something in exchange. You're
- 10:35the one making it weird. I'm just making sure I got this right before
- 10:39I make my wish, because it depends. Yeah. No, there's this
- 10:43guy Dan. You just tell him boom, your wish is true, and
- 10:46that's it. You move on with your life. You know what my wish
- 10:50would be, Amanda, Your voice just cracked. I'm nervous. My wish
- 10:52would be for everyone to dance a little more. Shut up. That's just
- 11:01all the world needs. What is your wish gonna be? The dance thing?
- 11:07Okay? A bunch of money? Is that fun? You want to
- 11:13say a bunch of money? I would have thought for sure you'd just been
- 11:15like for health or something like that. Okay, invincible. Yeah I'm not
- 11:20elite. This isn't a leading question. You went with dance, Okay,
- 11:24one wish. I trying to be realistic about it. Okay, fine,
- 11:28everybody I know and love lives forever with infinite money and pleasure and happiness.
- 11:33And this damn guy gets out of my room. It's one wish. Fine,
- 11:35easy. You're offered a job that pays ten thousand dollars a week for
- 11:43eight hours a day. Though, the job is for you to sit in
- 11:46a dark room, all alone, in total silence, and remove any object
- 11:54from your pockets all egg getting on an airplane and putting it on a conveyor
- 11:58belt and you can't get it until the end of the day. That's your
- 12:01job. Ten grand a week, so AMD ten grand a week. Yeah,
- 12:09how many hours a day? Do the math? Eight eight hours a
- 12:13day? Yeah, okay, you get a thirty minute lunch break, no
- 12:16luggage. What do you do? There's no way you really couldn't do it
- 12:24for I don't think I could ten grand a week times fifty two eight hours
- 12:28a day, just sitting in complete darkness by myself. That would be the
- 12:31most depressing thing in the world. Could be peaceful. Nah, I could
- 12:37do it. I could maybe make it three days a week. I mean
- 12:41you're thinking of them now. Yeah, life changing money for your family,
- 12:43and you can't do it. Mm hmm. I'd rather have less money and
- 12:48just more happiness. Pike, more joy. I need the sunshine, the
- 12:52vitamin D. Always talking about Jesus. If I could just get a moment
- 12:54to myself, I could gets ever say that, Oh maybe there was somebody
- 13:01else and Amanda in the morning on Big seven trending. Now here's what you
- 13:09need to know. DSU has announced a new scholarship program to help first and
- 13:15second year students pay for college during the twenty twenty four to twenty twenty five
- 13:18academic year. The NDSU Tuition Award Program will cover base tuition and student fees
- 13:24for pel eligible North Zakota, and Minnesota students who meet certain criteria and whose
- 13:28families earn eighty thousand dollars or less annually. So to be considered considered for
- 13:33the program, students must be full time in academic good academic standing, and
- 13:39pursuing a bachelor's degree. That's, you know, weird timing because Ken Cordy
- 13:43was it just last week announced it was ninety full scholarship or full tuition for
- 13:46the entire duration four years for families making ninety thousand early. Yeah, so
- 13:50this is for two years, you said, right, which is to help
- 13:54with the first and second year students, right, And it sounded like from
- 13:56when I read that they were, you know, the goal is to get
- 13:58it to four but this was the first step, Yeah, which is it
- 14:01takes baby steps for sure. Yeah, I mean honestly, very exciting.
- 14:05Kind of wish you, you know, wish you would have been going to
- 14:07school now. But here we are, Amanda, Here we are hey,
- 14:11both degrees though and doing just fine putting those degrees to work. Yeah we
- 14:16are. And football fans they've had enough of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey.
- 14:24According to a poll of about sixteen thousand people, ninety percent of them said
- 14:28done, it's too much. Don't want to hear it anymore. The broadcast,
- 14:31any of it, just be done. I I mean what was the
- 14:35percentage? I mean, no football fan was like, I mean, I
- 14:39got annoyed right away because so many of the announcers, like all they do
- 14:43what it's super cheesy, yes, yeah they they use their the song titles
- 14:46and try to force him into any It was so dumb, like cringe would
- 14:50be the word. Yeah. It ruined my life there for a couple of
- 14:54weeks. Well, it's far from over. Travis Kelsey is expected to fly
- 14:56to Argentina today. He was at an event with Patrick Mahomes last night and
- 15:00he's supposed to be there for a couple of days. So she is performing
- 15:01tonight and tomorrow and then he's supposed to fly back so he can be at
- 15:05practice on Monday. Hopefully it doesn't have too much jet lag. Yeah,
- 15:09geez, I hope. I don't know what the flight from Casey to Argentina
- 15:13is. Hopefully he's safe. I know, uh it's not. A friend
- 15:16of mine knows married a Venezuelan woman. I know. It's not the same
- 15:20country, but the same area, right, and it's very you know,
- 15:22it's it's just some risk down there, Amanda, Okay, I don't want
- 15:28to speak on at anybody. I mean I have a first hand account from
- 15:31a friend who said, yeah, it was people will like just rob you
- 15:33on the bus, and not that that doesn't happen here in the good old
- 15:35United States. Yeah. I just have a feeling with Taylor Swift probably handling
- 15:39his travel arrangements. Oh, he's probably going to be on a city bus.
- 15:43He's probably gonna touchdown directly in her room. Yeah yeah, bety well,
- 15:50oh god, I see if we can't land this thing. He's saying,
- 15:54Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, and of course we want to thank everybody who
- 16:00have served and who is currently serving, and there are so many I don't
- 16:03know, if you've been looking on Facebook the last couple of days, it
- 16:06seems like every restaurant I don't even have a list because there are so many.
- 16:08Almost every restaurant locally is giving you a free meal if you show up
- 16:12to one of their places tomorrow, or offering some sort of freebee, which
- 16:17is honestly the least we can do for your search. Well, right,
- 16:18I mean I would obviously people do this, I'm sure, but you know,
- 16:22we all know a veteran, give them a call, just thank them.
- 16:25And I know your your stepdad served, My dad served, and this
- 16:29course is just an absolute banger. So we're gonna take a quick second.
- 16:33And I'm proud to be an American where no, thank you guys so much.
- 16:40And like you said, yes, whether you give him a call or
- 16:42better yet, I always loved this is actually my first year without my grandpa.
- 16:47He was ninety one years old, and every year for Veterans Day we'd
- 16:48get together do the Veterans dinner in like small town Deer Creek. They always
- 16:52do that, and it was always fun because they ninety What did he serve?
- 16:57Where did he serve the front lines of the war? Really? Yeah,
- 17:00never talked about it, of course, but he's saw a lot,
- 17:04dang, I know, and I remember having conversations with him because he lived
- 17:08until what ninety one, But I remember during COVID him just like he's like,
- 17:14I saw a lot in Korea, And that was really all he said
- 17:17in that He's like, and now I'm locked in my house and with COVID,
- 17:21like just to kind of talking about the everything he has seen over the
- 17:23years, you know what I mean, being a farmer. And now that
- 17:26was the most bizarre thing for him is that nobody could come and visit him.
- 17:30He's like made it this long and nobody he just has no freedom with
- 17:33that. Crazy. I don't know, we need to connect the two,
- 17:37no, but I just remember up to him this is a very random statement,
- 17:41but I'm trying to put the pieces. So he thought because he had
- 17:45served, he should have been able to just kind of get a past.
- 17:49No, just saying for all the things he has seen in the world,
- 17:53COVID was one of the most bizarre him as he was, and he was
- 17:57probably the fact that he was in a retire iron monomen nobody could go and
- 18:00see. Yet I'm not not to be glight of that because that was really
- 18:03really sad when people couldn't get visitors. But just think ninety one. Yeah,
- 18:07I mean, I don't know what year that would have been born,
- 18:10but just the things you've lived through, probably the I don't want to say
- 18:12the plague. I forget what it was called, but you know there was
- 18:15certain other there you go, there you go. Yeah. I did not
- 18:18present that the way it should have been. But thank you for hey,
- 18:21looking up what I'm putting down. The mature thing of us was just to
- 18:23kind of work through it, and now we're better at conversation. All right.
- 18:29Weatherwise today going to be cloudy, high thirty seven. Tomorrow it is
- 18:33actually going to be a higher forty three, and looking ahead here forecast,
- 18:37we could hit sixty by the end of the weekend and into next week.
- 18:40It is crazy. That is crazy. Now. My grandma she lived to
- 18:41be ninety as well, and I would be I was obsessed growing up as
- 18:45we were learning history about you know, World War two, the Holocaust.
- 18:48Yeah, and I remember always wanting to know. I'm like, hey,
- 18:51so you know, like the Hitler thing was going on, Like what what
- 18:52do you remember about that? What were you thinking? What was going on?
- 18:56And she like had no idea. She's like, I didn't we didn't
- 18:59know. I didn't know what it was happening. Really, yeah, it's
- 19:02crazy. Well, I mean yeah, man, if you know, there
- 19:03wasn't social media at the time. She had to trust the Halsteed Times to
- 19:10get her get her her news. I get it. No, growing up
- 19:15with the Wadina Pioneer Journal, I get it. Oh my goodness, you
- 19:18turn it like a minute in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 19:25This is embarrassing. Alcohol Amanda and I after a weekend, really just a
- 19:30week and I'm sure you've been there before where it's just like the days pile
- 19:33up of having a drink, having a couple of drinks Shanaiah Twayne concert,
- 19:37you have football, you drink all day. You just get to the point
- 19:40where you wake up and you go, I need to we need to cool
- 19:42it for a minute here. Absolutely basically just summer rolling into fall, which
- 19:47was just a bunch of events for all. Fall for us, I feel
- 19:48is busy season. There's just so much going on. But then you get
- 19:52to summer, it's like, well, here comes busy season, and then
- 19:53you're like, god, spring is so busy, isn't it. It's just
- 19:56it almost never ends. Aman some may say, now it's holiday season that
- 20:00gets busy. Well, we decided to do a little challenge among ourselves,
- 20:04Pike and Amanda in the morning. And we didn't even broadcast this because it
- 20:07was really just a personal thing where we're like, you know, we could
- 20:10use just a dry out period, nothing crazy, you know, I know
- 20:12a lot of people do like dry January and whatnot. We were gonna do
- 20:15the twelve days of no drinking November, no drinking November, and so only
- 20:21twelve days. All it was gonna be was this week and then the weekend
- 20:23that was gonna be the real hard part, I thought, and then all
- 20:27through next week. And so Amanda got a text last night from at least
- 20:33honesty is the best policy. You know, Well, I still feel like
- 20:36you're not being honest. No, I was the what do you know,
- 20:38a picture of red wine? Oh gosh, a Thursday night. I know
- 20:45my best friend she owns a salon duo downtown and she had her holiday party
- 20:51and so popped over there and I'm gonna tell you exactly how it went down.
- 20:56Rolled in I was actually Dustin from Happy Harry's was there. There was
- 20:59a few of us. We were all a real who's who event. Yeah,
- 21:02I'm surprised you didn't make it, Pike. Sorry, I didn't get
- 21:04the invite. I invited you. I posted it on Facebook yesterday. Oh
- 21:07that was for me. Sorry, I was directed. I forgot to take
- 21:11you in it. Anyway, Long story short, it was one of those
- 21:14moments you've all been there where I'm just standing there and my girlfriend just brought
- 21:19over a glass of red wine and I just started drinking it, and then
- 21:23I just stopped and I went, oh, my gosh, I'm not supposed
- 21:26to be drinking. It was so that moment didn't even cross my mind.
- 21:30I didn't ask for it. It was a simple, oh, here we
- 21:33go. Forgot. And the thing is, with these little challenges, it's
- 21:38like, you should be able to just have a glass of wine, that's
- 21:41not the problem. But it was for me anyway, who's obviously taking much
- 21:45more seriously. It was more just like, let's just see if I can,
- 21:48because sure, you know, it shouldn't be a problem. And that's
- 21:51sort of the test, right of course, because I don't think a mana
- 21:52since I've been twenty one or even before or whatever, I don't know that
- 21:56I've gone twelve dates without having a single drink. You know, I've never
- 22:00done dry January. You know what I mean. I've gone through outside of
- 22:03being pregnant, because that does not count. I've gotten through through stages.
- 22:07Do you remember, gosh, it must have been probably eight years ago.
- 22:11We were doing nothing over a paradiso and I was not drinking. I went
- 22:15like three weeks without drinking, and then when I started drinking again, I
- 22:18had like Bud Select fifty five's and I'd have like two of them and that
- 22:21was it. And I remember just feeling so great. Yeah, you wake
- 22:25up and listen, do you? But I'm all in on the twelve days
- 22:30of no drinking, all right, No, I'm proud of you, and
- 22:33listen. It's tough because, after all, it's Soliday, I know,
- 22:36putting up for our Christmas stuff this weekend that we don't have. We got
- 22:40to go get it. But it's like that, what a day to have
- 22:41a nice yet just a beer, you know, and that's just it.
- 22:45Today I want to put up the Christmas tree before I go and get the
- 22:47kids from school, and I'm lie I can do it. A glass of
- 22:51prosecco would sound great, but go ahead and have one. Have ten.
- 22:53I don't gee, you're out. No. But it's also the fact I
- 22:56just had a glass of wine and that was it. I feel like that's
- 23:00great. It's not like I went home and opened a bottle like I could
- 23:03have you could. I feel like you get Amanda in the morning, come
- 23:11up on big s. That's he is piping hot today and now Amanda fills
- 23:18the sea, let's see. Zach Efron is opening up about the rumor that
- 23:23Matthew Perry wanted him to play him in a movie. He said, I
- 23:26am so honored to hear that he was thinking of me to play him.
- 23:30We'll see. I'd be honored to do it. He also talked about how
- 23:33devastated he is by Matthew Perry's loss. He was a mentor to me and
- 23:37we made a really cool film together. I looked up to him. I
- 23:40learned comedic timing from that guy. I mean when we were filming seventeen again,
- 23:44it was so surreal for me to look across and have him be there
- 23:45every day because I've learned so much from him, from his whole life.
- 23:48That is so sweet. I had no idea that relationship existed, you know.
- 23:53And Amanda, I hate to interrupt you, but my nephew is listening
- 23:56Liam. You know, he's five, Yes, and my start trying to
- 24:00explain to him that what he's hearing on his radio is not me at my
- 24:03house hanging out with my friends. You know what I mean. It's just
- 24:07I have a new technology for him. So I got it. So I
- 24:08just want to say, highly, I'm at work and this is my friend
- 24:11Amanda, not at my house. Oh yes, I get to hang out
- 24:15with t t every single day. I just really want to take an educational
- 24:19moment here for the kid. I get it. I remember my niece and
- 24:22nephew not understanding that, like how they could hear me in the radio on
- 24:26their way to school and work. I'm still confused by it. And I
- 24:29mean, now they just download that free app and listen to me all the
- 24:32time. I bet they do. So. Anyway, that Matthew Berry thing
- 24:36was cool. And Travis Barker, Oh my gosh, ladies, tell me
- 24:41I'm not wrong. A Pike thinks I'm crazy, but I get that he's
- 24:45a rock. I used to think you're crazy. Now I just think they're
- 24:48nuts. I get it, Okay, you're a rock star, but there's
- 24:51a time and a place for you to be rocking and rolling. Maybe not
- 24:55in the hospital. So they just had their baby and we are being told
- 25:00and he posted this video that's Travis in a video, and insiders tell us
- 25:07about this. Go ahead, what a data it's been. I know,
- 25:12it's silly Friday, it really is. So there's this. I guess you
- 25:17can bring a drum pad in and like make it so it's not as loud,
- 25:22so it's like at drummer. It's a practice drumm. You can do
- 25:23it in your bedroom, you can do it on the couch, you can
- 25:26do it in the delivery room. Well, and it is, to be
- 25:29fair, almost always annoying. Okay, thank you. So now imagine your
- 25:32Courtney Kardashian about to have I don't care, you're married to a rock star
- 25:36and about to have his baby. You're like, and he's in there doing
- 25:40this, He's in there doing this, thank you. Oh he's going to
- 25:45town. Sounds like, oh yeah, it sounds like the bridge on all
- 25:49the small things. This isn't realizing, just rehearsing for tour. It's actually
- 25:53kind of cute because and I hate to say that he's doing the heartbeat,
- 25:56trying to mimic the heart beat. Yeah, he's going the and first of
- 25:59all, well that's a sign of great health. The kid's heart has a
- 26:02perfect tempo. I mean, just locked in. You don't think it's sexy
- 26:06for her to see her husband doing what he does. Like if you were
- 26:08in the delivery room and your husband Nick was over there selling insurance, it
- 26:12wouldn't turn you on. Yeah, by the way, doc, you're you're
- 26:15into some no deck insurance. No, it would be. Do you know
- 26:19how annoying it was when he was trying to watch March Madness while I was
- 26:22giving birth. Oh really, Remember I grabbed the mirror so that way he
- 26:26had to see because I was like, hello, focus, we're about to
- 26:29have a baby. You gotta do something. I don't care whoever some football
- 26:33or basketball team is a man making baskets. It's the most beautiful time of
- 26:37the year. March Madness. Stop it. Yeah, so was the day
- 26:40we had Sydney Leeuen good grief, men, I just don't get it,
- 26:44old man, all right, Britney Spear's mom, she is trying to I
- 26:48guess I like to think that she's meany like really trying to mean well here,
- 26:53but it's not being taken that way at all. So in Britney Spears
- 26:57book, it might have got buried with all the Justin Timberlake stuff. At
- 27:00one point she talks about how her mom sold like her dolls, her journals,
- 27:04all this stuff to make extra money. At one point, so Britney
- 27:07spears mom jump onto Instagram yesterday and basically called her out, posting pictures of
- 27:12the journal of all the dolls and said, I'm not sure who told you
- 27:17I got rid of your dolls and journals, but I would never do that.
- 27:19That would be cool because I know how much they mean to you.
- 27:23They're special to me too, because of the years we've been collecting them.
- 27:26Of Course, I still have your things and I'm happy to send them to
- 27:29you if you'd like me to please let me know and know how much I
- 27:33love you. Well, that's very sweet. I took it as sweet.
- 27:36And listen, if you're getting burned in this book and people are saying you
- 27:40had sold the dolls and you literally didn't, of course they're gonna correct them.
- 27:44And there are some people going, hey, she's just saying Britney Spears
- 27:47is a liar, and there are a lot of people that think Britney just
- 27:49doesn't know what really happened, and that is her story to share, but
- 27:53also that maybe she was told a bunch of lies, you know what.
- 27:56On the other side of it, it's like, how many times did her
- 27:59mom tell her to come home and get her crap out of the house and
- 28:02I'm supposed to store this for the rest of your life. Well that was
- 28:03probably when she was under her conservatorship, when her dad was giving her lithium.
- 28:07Okayche's Amanda allegedly and Amanda in the morning on sage seven. Well,
- 28:17everybody, oh, here we go all rise and say it with me.
- 28:22Wam bam, thank you Sam. Every Friday we get to talk to your
- 28:26voice of the NDSU Buys and Sam Niederman mix. We're friends over at Gateway.
- 28:30Shiver leh. I mean we are more than halfway through the season.
- 28:33How are we gonna do it without the Sam? Myci? I don't know.
- 28:37I mean the all rise is what's been getting me here. You'll give
- 28:41a little respects. Somebody asked you in here like what oh yo, you
- 28:45may be seated? Thank you of course. Okay, So I was super
- 28:48excited last week. Old me too. I was expecting it to be a
- 28:51complete blowout right away. To be completely honest with you, I was nervous.
- 28:53But they hung in there. Oh yeah, they hung in there.
- 28:56And you know, I was kind of a roller coaster all week. I
- 28:59did in here. I mean, I was wrong all day. But it's
- 29:03all what six to seven? It was nine seven? We have only nine
- 29:07to seven. Came out, got the first touchdown, went for it on
- 29:11fourth down, which is good, Like you're here, you're gonna go for
- 29:14it. You're not going to play scared, and Dysu was able to get
- 29:17a touchdown. They had the extra point blocked, and then yeah, South
- 29:21Dakota State kind of took over from middle watching a different times because I remember
- 29:25seeing they were down by three scores, thinking, well, this one,
- 29:27they're not exactly hanging I was hopeful at the very beginning of it, That's
- 29:32what I'll tell, yeah, say, but I was feeling optimistic too.
- 29:34But you know, credits to South Sacost State. They're they're a great team.
- 29:37They're great team. They got it together. You know, I'd be
- 29:40hard pressed to find too many other teams that are at their caliber right now.
- 29:42They're playing really good football. But yeah, South Dakota stat and the
- 29:47Green Bay Packers faced off. Who do you think what would that look like?
- 29:51I don't know. Man, Like, all right, so tomorrow Southern
- 29:55Illinois. You did mention that this is some tough games back to back to
- 29:57back, So this is, guys, like, this is postseason type of
- 30:02games, basically like elimination games. In my opinion, I think. So
- 30:06here's a scenario. NDSU is six and three. You have two regular season
- 30:10games, like Amanda said, if you win both of them, I think
- 30:12you're guaranteed to get the postseason. They'll be automatically and they'll get one of
- 30:17the bids. If they go one and one one win, one loss,
- 30:22I think the Bison still probably get in. But you're sweating it out a
- 30:25little bit selection Sunday. I haven't had a sweat sesshon with the Pison in
- 30:30a really long time. No, No, I don't remember one. I
- 30:33mean honestly, when the dome is loud, you're gonna have Oh it's absolutely
- 30:37an extrasphere, so we got to fill the dome. No, you're right
- 30:41on, Amanda. I encourage everybody to come out because, like you said,
- 30:45Veterans Day tomorrow. It's a white out for Warriors game. So it's
- 30:48really cool honoring our veterans, those who have served our country's military. I
- 30:52think it's a great job by NDSU. They've done a nice job with that.
- 30:55This season, we had first responders or honored on the weekend of nine
- 30:57to eleven earlier in September. Now we're doing it for Veterans Day. It's
- 31:02Senior Day. It is, after all, the holiday season. What is
- 31:06it, Dickery Docket, Are you a holidays guy? First of all,
- 31:11I am totally holidays guy, because even when we have the snow, like
- 31:15at the end of Halloween, right we have the snow, then I immediately
- 31:19put on Christmas music. Now, I know that's a little extreme for some
- 31:26people. I felt that too. No, I'm all in on it,
- 31:29guys. Like my favorite holiday song is a Sleigh Ride by Elia Fitzgerald.
- 31:33That's my favorite one. So it's sligh like like that that that that's yeah,
- 31:42yeah, yeah, it's yeah. I feel happy Holidays early several weeks.
- 31:55I can't wait. You know, it was Christmas to come early for
- 31:57the Bison guys. Wait a weee, I'm confused. Your decorations at home,
- 32:02come early for the Bison. What is that? Yea, I'm putting
- 32:05up my Christmas tree in honor of the bison. Just wattery, get it
- 32:07done, Illinois. Have a great call and we'll see you next Friday.
- 32:14And again all rise, here we go bam. Thank you, Sam man
- 32:21our friends over at Gateway silver Let. Thanks Sam, go Bison, Thanks
- 32:23man that, Thanks Pike, Go Bison.
