- 0:14Speaker 1: about Caroline Leave It on Red. We're going to ask
- 0:19Speaker 1: you who would play us in a movie, because I
- 0:21Speaker 1: don't think we we figured it.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Out, we did you, A.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Lot of people have done me and so Suspurgan on
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Street originalized, I'm sorry, I can't be laughing.
- 0:30Speaker 2: No, you can't be laughing.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We're going to talk about the lynchings in America and
- 0:34Speaker 1: all the things going on with marginalized communities right now.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And we also have Congressman Garcia who is going to
- 0:39Speaker 1: be joining us to talk about the Epstein Files. We
- 0:42Speaker 1: are going to also answer all of your questions from
- 0:46Speaker 1: the DMS. So stick around. We got a bone to
- 0:50Speaker 1: pick with me. We use the ulsh.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You got a bone to pick, well, many people, but
- 0:54Speaker 2: you especially Yeah.
- 0:57Speaker 1: What happened show me on the all.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So let me tell you something, mister. I'm on Traders
- 1:06Speaker 2: and now I'm famous, and I'm too big for my breitches.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I'm not on Traders and now I'm too.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Good speak for I don't even have britches yet.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you what happened. So my friend
- 1:19Speaker 2: TJ shout out to TJ set me a message and
- 1:23Speaker 2: said to me the following.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Oh no, oh no, there are receipts. I hate being
- 1:27Speaker 1: held to care.
- 1:28Speaker 2: I know this is today at two forty two pm,
- 1:31Speaker 2: and it's I don't know what time it is now, but.
- 1:33Speaker 1: It's four forty one.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Okay. I just saw your friend Michael in the West
- 1:37Speaker 2: Village and I called out to him twice, and in
- 1:41Speaker 2: true trade or fashion, he ignored me.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Okay, who do you think you are? I am never
- 1:46Speaker 1: First of all, I love attention. So if someone's calling
- 1:48Speaker 1: my name out and I hear it, I want to engage.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I did not hear that.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Okay, well, you know, look to camera someone you apologize
- 1:59Speaker 2: to teach right now, CJ, C TJ. You know what
- 2:06Speaker 2: it feels like. I'm gonna tell you all the things.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It feels like. It feels anti lesbian. TJ is a lesbian,
- 2:13Speaker 2: it feels anti black. It feels anti is a gay, lesbian,
- 2:18Speaker 2: black person six and tall with the little dog who
- 2:22Speaker 2: lives in Brooklyn. It feels anti all those.
- 2:24Speaker 1: That's t J and I just got the name wrong too, Damn.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry, TJ. I really TJ does sound kind of awesome.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I would love I would love for the shout out.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Where the little dog and I don't really love little dogs,
- 2:38Speaker 2: but the childa is kind of cute.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Okay not you already cover it for DJ. Okay, So
- 2:43Speaker 1: here's my message to TJ. I love I'm a clinical narcissist.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I love attention. So if there's any world in which
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm going to be getting it and I know about it,
- 2:53Speaker 1: I'm there. So TJ, that's how you know I did
- 2:58Speaker 1: not hear you. I also think me and my dog
- 3:02Speaker 1: Jack are both going deaf at the same time because I.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Didn't ask IDJ you were with Jack.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The both of us are just loosing it, truly, because
- 3:15Speaker 1: and Brad is like making fun of the dog for
- 3:16Speaker 1: being deaf. I'm like, stop making fun of him.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I've told you. We make fun of Arthur
- 3:25Speaker 2: Weasley sometimes my see legged cat who sometimes doesn't land
- 3:29Speaker 2: the landing, and then sometimes we laugh at him.
- 3:31Speaker 1: You said not land the landing and reminded me I
- 3:33Speaker 1: was on a plane the other day. I was flying
- 3:35Speaker 1: out of LaGuardia the way this pilot had what could
- 3:41Speaker 1: only be described as an unmedicated panic disorder and access
- 3:46Speaker 1: to a loud speaker. I was like, this is the
- 3:49Speaker 1: worst thing. I have a fear of flying, but I've
- 3:52Speaker 1: gotten over it, and so now I fly all the time.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I'm totally fine. But the way I was regressing, because
- 4:00Speaker 1: I'm sitting there, the guy next to me, I could
- 4:02Speaker 1: tell his nervous and I'm already like, brother, like I'm
- 4:05Speaker 1: not going to help you put your mask on if
- 4:06Speaker 1: shit gets weird. Like you're not a child, You're a
- 4:09Speaker 1: fully grown man. You're a consultant. And I'm rereading your
- 4:15Speaker 1: emails like it's fine anyway. So I get on the plane.
- 4:18Speaker 1: They're taken off and it's we've had these crazy storms
- 4:21Speaker 1: all summer long in New York. And the pilot comes
- 4:24Speaker 1: on the plane. We're pulling back from the gate. He goes,
- 4:27Speaker 1: oh my god.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Oh my god. You never want to hear that from
- 4:32Speaker 2: your pilot.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Doctor all right, like, I've gotten over my fear of flying,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but this is maybe gonna this is this is disturbing.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And he says, I don't believe. And so the guy
- 4:46Speaker 1: next to me is like twitching, And so now He's
- 4:49Speaker 1: kind of sucking me into the drama. You know how
- 4:51Speaker 1: you have the friend who will kind of like beat
- 4:53Speaker 1: you into the bullshit.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yes you continue.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I'm like, Melissa won't believe what happened. Hmm oh wait,
- 5:01Speaker 1: my straws here. I stabbed myself in the.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I cannot see here. I cannot save your eye again.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Put that. Make that the YouTube screen, Michael did he
- 5:14Speaker 1: lose an eye of this episode, and this will be
- 5:16Speaker 1: the photo.
- 5:18Speaker 2: And that'll just be me with turning my turning my
- 5:20Speaker 2: back to it because I refuse to do it ever
- 5:22Speaker 2: again to fix your eye.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Winking took Michael Boca's eye out this episode. And then
- 5:29Speaker 1: he's like, they just told us. He said, look out
- 5:33Speaker 1: the window to the right, folks.
- 5:34Speaker 2: And now everyone's looking.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Everybody's people are like, oh, what is it?
- 5:37Speaker 2: What is it?
- 5:38Speaker 1: We're lucky lou rubbernecking on the tarmac. He said, look
- 5:41Speaker 1: at this line. They just told us that they're suspending
- 5:45Speaker 1: takeoffs and we're gonna have to wait in this line.
- 5:48Speaker 2: What kind of drama, queen did you have as a pilot?
- 5:50Speaker 2: What airline is this?
- 5:51Speaker 1: It's whoever is making the covers of our YouTube? Is
- 5:54Speaker 1: the is the pilot. It's Christina from exactly right, and
- 5:57Speaker 1: so I can see the thing backing up from the
- 6:01Speaker 1: door to the plane. So I'm like, why don't we
- 6:03Speaker 1: control all delete and get that just right back here.
- 6:07Speaker 1: We can all go get off and get a Panera.
- 6:09Speaker 2: No, they will not, they won't. They would rather let
- 6:11Speaker 2: you rot on that plane for you.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Get one of the Panera lemonades that kills people. Let
- 6:16Speaker 1: me get that. Why I got to wait here with
- 6:19Speaker 1: this guy who's freaking out. So then I'm not kidding.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Three minutes later we're in the air. Oh, this pilot
- 6:26Speaker 1: he was like, oh yeah, And so had he not
- 6:28Speaker 1: told anybody, no one would have known.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I know.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So then it was like that the whole flight. He
- 6:33Speaker 1: was like, we are going to have unprecedented turbulence, the
- 6:36Speaker 1: most unbelievable turbula. He said, hold onto your wig, bitch,
- 6:40Speaker 1: it's going to be an orbit. And I'm not kidding.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Not a drop of my drink was spilled. It was
- 6:47Speaker 1: filled to the brim. I didn't feel a thing. Okay,
- 6:51Speaker 1: this man, I'm coming for you, United, I'm coming for
- 6:55Speaker 1: United Airlines. Melissa is unimpressed.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I'm unimpressed because you're a liar, A lying liar who
- 7:04Speaker 2: lies and you do it for attention, But I mean
- 7:10Speaker 2: speaking of being sick of shit. Hey, folks, I don't
- 7:16Speaker 2: know anything about Traders.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Oh are they're asking you?
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm sorry, people are asking me questions and I want
- 7:23Speaker 2: to be clear. I'm going to say it again. Not
- 7:26Speaker 2: only do I not know, but until Michael told me
- 7:30Speaker 2: that he was going to be on Traders, I had
- 7:32Speaker 2: actually never heard.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Of Traders before the first person asked.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Right, And so I don't know anything. And if I
- 7:39Speaker 2: did know, I wouldn't tell you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So this is why you guys could send her your
- 7:48Speaker 1: worst secret, because she will keep it, not give a
- 7:52Speaker 1: shit and maybe even forget about it. Likely, like Melissa,
- 7:57Speaker 1: people tell her things they wouldn't tell the priest, like
- 8:01Speaker 1: it is unbelievable.
- 8:03Speaker 2: We're so very creepy.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So they're in confessional. Ms Malbranch I have sent.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so, but but honestly, genuinely.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Leave her alone. I'm more likely to leak than her
- 8:17Speaker 1: to ask me for sure. I stole this from Trader set.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Oh did you I stole this from the Castle?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Oh that's nice.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I kind of like get the word Droom team gave
- 8:26Speaker 1: it to me.
- 8:26Speaker 2: To wear, so okay, they they gave it to you
- 8:29Speaker 2: or you stole it.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So they gave it to me to wear on the show,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but maybe not the show A show. They gave it
- 8:36Speaker 1: to me to wear on Traders, but I don't. It
- 8:38Speaker 1: was unclear if they gave it to me to wear home.
- 8:42Speaker 1: So when I was packing up my stuff, I was like, they.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Were like to take it on purpose.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, because there's matching pants. Do you have the
- 8:49Speaker 1: pants not on me today?
- 8:50Speaker 2: No? But do you own the pants?
- 8:52Speaker 1: I own the pants.
- 8:53Speaker 2: And is it the same hand strike with the flowers.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the same. So I could wear this to
- 8:57Speaker 1: like a summer wedding or or a birthday already, wherever
- 9:01Speaker 1: you want, wherever you want.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I like it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Thank you if you if you're listening, it's like a
- 9:06Speaker 1: pin striped zip up jacket with sequin flowers on it.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but yeah, so I took it. I took
- 9:12Speaker 1: a Trader scot this for me, But everything else was
- 9:15Speaker 1: my clothes that I wore on the show. Okay, yeah,
- 9:17Speaker 1: this was in my bag when I went to a
- 9:19Speaker 1: detention center today. I had court this morning.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Did you wear that? No?
- 9:23Speaker 1: But I had just I tried to dress like you know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: normcore Republican, like a blue suit with a red tie.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I tried to really get into the drag of it. Okay,
- 9:32Speaker 1: the Republican woman makeup filter.
- 9:36Speaker 2: With like carolines. The holes in her lip from.
- 9:39Speaker 1: The fillers in the lip.
- 9:41Speaker 2: That's right, maybe that's why she's quitting.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Baby, Let's get into a sidebar.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Let's get into a sidebar.
- 9:48Speaker 1: They put that bitch on the plane that was due
- 9:51Speaker 1: to get shot down. They said, you know, let's load
- 9:54Speaker 1: her up cargo style. They said, you know what, miss Levitt,
- 9:58Speaker 1: you're going to be front first class this trip for
- 10:01Speaker 1: no reason. She's like, why am I on the plane alone?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Where did everybody go? Echo?
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's just like, what is that out the window? Babe?
- 10:10Speaker 1: It's Turkey trying to shoot the plane down. Mess And
- 10:14Speaker 1: they literally were Trump snuck onto the other plane in
- 10:17Speaker 1: like the food truck, right, I know, like how they
- 10:19Speaker 1: sneak Taylor Swift into the car into the festival. They're
- 10:22Speaker 1: sneaking her in and a bucket and a mop. Damn.
- 10:26Speaker 2: This administration makes me care less and less about everything,
- 10:30Speaker 2: like it just feels anyway, it doesn't matter. I all
- 10:34Speaker 2: of this stuff is so distracting. Yes, oh no, I'm sorry,
- 10:37Speaker 2: it's not actually distracting. They're they're throwing all this stuff
- 10:40Speaker 2: at us in order to distract this from like the
- 10:43Speaker 2: actual funck shit that's happening.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Like, why would Turkey want to assassinate the president in
- 10:52Speaker 1: that alleged assassination plot?
- 10:55Speaker 2: Right?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Like what is going on?
- 10:56Speaker 2: Apparently, if we were to believe them, he's it's it's
- 11:00Speaker 2: a miracle. He made it out alive of every situation.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, Anyway, comment below if your boss has ever
- 11:06Speaker 1: asked you to potentially die for your job?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Right, has your boss ever basically thrown you in front
- 11:13Speaker 2: of them?
- 11:14Speaker 1: Right? You survive today, threw a pizza party celebrating, you know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: instead of a race. Right. Okay, so she's out, she's
- 11:22Speaker 1: out of here.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Let's get into algorithm is showing? Actually, is anything coming
- 11:27Speaker 1: up on your algorithm lately? Because I've been getting Trader stuff.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I've been getting The Odyssey. Honey, people still can't see
- 11:36Speaker 1: miss Imax. I went and saw it. I didn't see
- 11:38Speaker 1: it in imax. Okay, it was like looking at a
- 11:42Speaker 1: movie through a keyhole. Oh no, I'm like, why is it?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Anne Hathaway's ear I can't even see her. She's not
- 11:48Speaker 1: even in focus. Our cameras are in focus better than theirs.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Well, we have great cameras.
- 11:54Speaker 1: And writing, but like Christopher, our budget's not a quarter
- 11:58Speaker 1: billion dollars. I know, Nolan, miss Boots, what are you doing?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Because why is that diva? Why is that camera out
- 12:05Speaker 1: of focus? Really it was out of focus. I could
- 12:09Speaker 1: not see anything.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Was it dark or out of like I.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Was cleaning my glasses thinking it was me. I'm serious,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I seriously was so sick of you, because like people
- 12:19Speaker 1: are going to comment and say, Melissa actually hates Michael.
- 12:22Speaker 2: And he's afraid of I mean, today, it's true, it's true. Today,
- 12:28Speaker 2: it's true. Today, it's true. That's interesting that you felt
- 12:33Speaker 2: he was out of focus. What I always feel like
- 12:35Speaker 2: about movies is that everything is so dark that you
- 12:39Speaker 2: can't see anything, and not just movies, but like TV shows.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I don't and again I know, keep on referencing Game
- 12:45Speaker 2: of Thrones, but like I'll never there was some battle
- 12:48Speaker 2: where I literally went up to my TV and was
- 12:51Speaker 2: like Twitter, Yes.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Everyone was like, is it's so dark? Is this a
- 12:56Speaker 1: faith based battle scene? We have to assume that it's
- 12:58Speaker 1: okay that something.
- 13:00Speaker 2: We have had faith that something happens.
- 13:02Speaker 1: This is the audio only. No, it's really annoying. It
- 13:06Speaker 1: is really annoying, very very annoying. A lot of shows
- 13:08Speaker 1: are like that, and I think HBO is the problem.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Like that is like where a lot of that goes
- 13:14Speaker 1: down because there have been a couple it's not just.
- 13:17Speaker 2: To be fair, it is not just HBO because I
- 13:20Speaker 2: have seen movies in the theater where I'm like, this
- 13:24Speaker 2: is what I'm just going to guess what happens.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Is it glaucoma or is this movie dark? No, it's
- 13:29Speaker 1: the movie.
- 13:30Speaker 2: It's the movie. It's dark. My eyes are fine.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I like saw TikTok about it. That like if
- 13:34Speaker 1: it's an imax, like if you move a little as
- 13:37Speaker 1: an actor, yeah, an imax camera in a non imax theater,
- 13:42Speaker 1: it's going to look like you want out of focus.
- 13:45Speaker 1: So the actors obviously have to move. Well, yeah, it's
- 13:48Speaker 1: like an action movie.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Well, and also they're alive. It's not a photograph like
- 13:54Speaker 2: people like move around, they breathe, they get a little itch.
- 13:57Speaker 1: That is it's annoying because they're going to win like
- 13:59Speaker 1: a bunch of awards for best not for the brief
- 14:05Speaker 1: Recess Awards. I don't think they're going to win. Who
- 14:08Speaker 1: would win? Who would play her?
- 14:11Speaker 2: Who would play you in the movie?
- 14:12Speaker 1: Who would play me?
- 14:13Speaker 2: And?
- 14:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to say and not a joke one,
- 14:17Speaker 1: not a joke answer?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yes, who would play you in a movie? A real like.
- 14:22Speaker 1: We're going off looks or in mental illness?
- 14:26Speaker 2: I'm asking you a serious question and you want to
- 14:28Speaker 2: fuck around?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Who would want to play me?
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah? No, not going state them?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Kind of looks like me if we put glasses on him?
- 14:37Speaker 2: Okay, he is bald and is he tall? I feel
- 14:39Speaker 2: like he might be Pokito Maas. No, I think he's short.
- 14:42Speaker 1: He could kind of you know what.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I actually have no idea.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I don't know who's yeah, but let's.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Let's just say that it doesn't necessarily matter all that
- 14:52Speaker 2: much if they look like you or not, because there's makeup,
- 14:56Speaker 2: there's prosthetics. Right, So if there was going to be
- 14:59Speaker 2: a movie about your life, who do you think would
- 15:02Speaker 2: play you? Living or dead? I'll make it easy for.
- 15:05Speaker 1: You living like play me? Well?
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yes, no, like legitimately who would be you?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I would want someone like older. I don't like when
- 15:12Speaker 1: people are like aged, like the agent actor to.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Look you'd rather them? I would rather them up.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I would rather be played by someone like deep in
- 15:23Speaker 1: their forties than a twenty five year old whipper snapper
- 15:26Speaker 1: that they're like trying to make look like me, you
- 15:27Speaker 1: know what I mean. But would you don't want some
- 15:29Speaker 1: hard story shave his head, you know, like, don't do
- 15:33Speaker 1: that to that poor man?
- 15:34Speaker 2: But would you want somebody who is significantly older than
- 15:39Speaker 2: you playing you as a young man? Because I think
- 15:42Speaker 2: that's a story.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Of my life for going a Benjamin Button. Yeah yeah, Joseph.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Gordon Lovett, Okay, Joseph Gordon love.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Rename Wonder Oh the low key guy. Oh, I don't
- 15:52Speaker 1: like it would be great because he could shave his
- 15:53Speaker 1: head and he is in his forties.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, I like that.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I like that.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I actually have no idea who could who could play you?
- 16:00Speaker 2: I don't know, living or dead. I don't know in
- 16:02Speaker 2: my in my brain dying Carroll only because I think
- 16:05Speaker 2: she's fucking fierce. But like, I can't Whitney Houston.
- 16:10Speaker 1: She was green and monte guard. No, like in a
- 16:14Speaker 1: dramatic role. I'm not like, no, no, no, no, We're going
- 16:17Speaker 1: to do the musical of.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Sing it, No, not not Whitney Houston. I think I
- 16:24Speaker 2: think that Whitney Houston was like too beautiful, do you
- 16:29Speaker 2: know what I mean? Like she was like ethereal beautiful.
- 16:31Speaker 2: So no, I think it needs to be somebody. And
- 16:37Speaker 2: Dian Caroll was gorgeous. So I don't know who I
- 16:39Speaker 2: think I am.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But it's like a hard question to ask somebody.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, you know, yes, coming below Meissa, whos going
- 16:46Speaker 2: to play Melissa? Who's gonna play Michael? Like out of curiosity,
- 16:50Speaker 2: who's going to play? When there is a movie about
- 16:53Speaker 2: the horrible accident? Is it going to be?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Do you think it'll be like iHeart Studio.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Lifetime movie or like a movie movie I.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Wanted market post lifetime movie, like with the little the
- 17:04Speaker 1: chime before the commercial break, you know what I mean?
- 17:06Speaker 1: And then it would be like this episode brought to
- 17:10Speaker 1: you by Panthers.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Right, or depends preparation, h or like when you've got
- 17:20Speaker 2: what is it heartburn into gestion diarrhea. We're gonna ship
- 17:33Speaker 2: this a little bit more serious now, so your algorithm
- 17:36Speaker 2: is showing so this is gonna be a little bit disturbing,
- 17:40Speaker 2: So a little bit of a trigger warning. However, I
- 17:42Speaker 2: do think it's really important. There have been in recent
- 17:47Speaker 2: months weeks, I think even there have been two African
- 17:51Speaker 2: American people found hanging in trees in Mississippi. And here's
- 17:55Speaker 2: what I want to say about that. And I've said
- 18:00Speaker 2: a little bit about this on my personal social media.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Black people living in the United States of America do
- 18:08Speaker 2: not hang themselves in trees. They we do not do this.
- 18:11Speaker 2: We do not do this. I am not suggesting that
- 18:14Speaker 2: things don't happen and that they and that we do
- 18:17Speaker 2: not die by suicide. Of course we do, but not
- 18:21Speaker 2: this way.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I honestly don't know how many people generally in America
- 18:25Speaker 1: die by suicide from a tree hanging in a like
- 18:28Speaker 1: a public space like is that? But I don't even
- 18:32Speaker 1: know if that's like a fair and I.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Have and I and I no, no, no, and I don't know.
- 18:37Speaker 2: But I am going to extend myself and say pretty
- 18:44Speaker 2: certainly that as black people, we do not do that.
- 18:47Speaker 2: And I think what I really think I find disturbing
- 18:50Speaker 2: about it is also that when that happens, the default
- 18:58Speaker 2: of investigatations are to just say that this person died
- 19:03Speaker 2: by suicide, even if there are things that happen like
- 19:07Speaker 2: when the body is examined, and there's no way that
- 19:11Speaker 2: somebody could have actually done that to themselves. And I
- 19:16Speaker 2: think it is especially and not to sort of put
- 19:18Speaker 2: a blight on the entire state of Mississippi. However, Mississippi
- 19:21Speaker 2: does have a very dark, problematic history of lynching black
- 19:27Speaker 2: people in trees, so that all of this feels very
- 19:33Speaker 2: forbidding for both. It just feels wrong. It feels and
- 19:37Speaker 2: I think especially in this climate where we are living
- 19:40Speaker 2: in a country where especially this particular administration, this president
- 19:45Speaker 2: especially who seems to have it out for black people.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Yes, he's literally racist and goes out of.
- 19:53Speaker 2: His way to show that I want us to be
- 19:57Speaker 2: on alert for things like that. To say it again
- 20:01Speaker 2: that Taja Fortune, the Marchrabian Trey read that these two
- 20:07Speaker 2: young African American people in Mississippi were found hanging in trees.
- 20:11Speaker 2: And I am going to say that that is not
- 20:15Speaker 2: what happened. That these two did not do this to themselves.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Someone did this to them.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And the other thing is that like these things are
- 20:24Speaker 1: deemed suicide by local police right right, which is so
- 20:29Speaker 1: distressing in Mississippi, immediately saying suicide and.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Washing their hands of it.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Well, because they walk among the police.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly what it is. And so I just
- 20:41Speaker 2: and I don't think we're hearing enough about things cases
- 20:45Speaker 2: like that because I know you guys didn't know about
- 20:48Speaker 2: it until I sort of brought it up.
- 20:50Speaker 1: I know about it, oh you did.
- 20:51Speaker 2: But like I think again, it is what is it
- 20:54Speaker 2: that we are engaging with on social media?
- 20:56Speaker 1: Right? I get like ultra progressive, but like I'm an
- 20:59Speaker 1: echo chamber, but I know a lot of people didn't.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So when I was resharing it, a lot of people
- 21:03Speaker 1: were like, what like? And I think people assume because
- 21:07Speaker 1: police were badges during the day that they don't wear
- 21:09Speaker 1: a hood at night. And I think that the possibility
- 21:14Speaker 1: that there is corruption among a police force that's charged
- 21:19Speaker 1: with investigating all deaths, regardless of race and ensuring that
- 21:22Speaker 1: justice is served, I mean we're seeing it with Nolan Wells.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Also that the way in which these cases are investigated,
- 21:29Speaker 1: it is not getting the credit that is due. The
- 21:32Speaker 1: life is not valued as much as.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And just generally when there are crimes like this that
- 21:40Speaker 2: are committed against black people, the justice, if there is
- 21:45Speaker 2: ever any justice that is served, is not because the
- 21:52Speaker 2: law enforcement in the area has decided to do the
- 21:54Speaker 2: right thing. It is because other black people and allies,
- 21:58Speaker 2: the literal public right caused a fuss George Floyd. If
- 22:04Speaker 2: people did not make a fuss about George Floyd, what
- 22:07Speaker 2: would have happened?
- 22:08Speaker 1: Completely agree, And there were so many people before George.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Oh yes, we were one hundred percent. And that's what
- 22:14Speaker 2: it is. We are living in a time where everybody
- 22:16Speaker 2: has a camera in their pocket, and if not for that,
- 22:22Speaker 2: what would happen?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Right? And it's also like the public outcry bringing attention
- 22:29Speaker 1: to these issues is what manages to get the attention
- 22:33Speaker 1: from the mainstream media. Eventually. It's almost like the media
- 22:36Speaker 1: reacts to the reaction of the public rather than the
- 22:40Speaker 1: actual incident, right, rather than the actual murder.
- 22:45Speaker 2: It really is unreal, and it's just it's really disturbing.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And I, you know, just generally, I worry so much
- 22:54Speaker 2: about young people, right, And you know, it's so interesting
- 22:59Speaker 2: to be at an age where you're looking and you're
- 23:02Speaker 2: just like, oh, young man, young woman, you know, and
- 23:05Speaker 2: I worry about them because I feel like, obviously, I'm
- 23:10Speaker 2: sure that there are many people who love these young kids,
- 23:12Speaker 2: but I just feel like, what we're missing is community,
- 23:16Speaker 2: and as a member of this community, I want to
- 23:22Speaker 2: protect these young people. That's the feeling that I have.
- 23:26Speaker 2: And obviously I can't do anything about what is happening
- 23:29Speaker 2: to somebody in Mississippi other than call attention to it, right,
- 23:33Speaker 2: So that's all that I've got, So I want to
- 23:36Speaker 2: do that. It's worrying, it's distressing, it makes me very angry,
- 23:44Speaker 2: and I feel like I want us to be able
- 23:46Speaker 2: to call attention to it so that these things don't
- 23:50Speaker 2: just disappear.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And it's also like when we call attention to it,
- 23:55Speaker 1: let's say that someone is held accountable, if that's possible.
- 24:00Speaker 1: We keep coming back to this question of like that's
- 24:02Speaker 1: not justice, right, No, justice is that person not dying?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Justice is this didn't happen? Right?
- 24:09Speaker 2: Yes, I mean I don't know that that's justice or
- 24:14Speaker 2: sort of the way that we would like to imagine
- 24:18Speaker 2: that our society should operate, right, Like people should not
- 24:22Speaker 2: be getting murdered in the street. That should not be happening, right.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Leadership has to be held accountable in any organization, whether
- 24:29Speaker 1: it's the federal government or a company or a nonprofitship ever, right,
- 24:33Speaker 1: And the worst actor in any organization is always the
- 24:39Speaker 1: one that sets the tone for culture and always sets
- 24:42Speaker 1: the tone for behavior. It's always the worst behavior of
- 24:47Speaker 1: the leader that infects an institution, whether it's a nonprofit,
- 24:53Speaker 1: a company, or the federal government. So Trump was not
- 24:56Speaker 1: in Mississippi. He did not lunch this woman. No set
- 25:00Speaker 1: the tone for the way racists are treated in America.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I think what he has done is and this is
- 25:08Speaker 2: not new. A lot of people have said, this is
- 25:10Speaker 2: that he, you know, instead of making America great again,
- 25:14Speaker 2: he made it safe to be racist. Yes, literally, because
- 25:18Speaker 2: he is the sort of the great racist in chief.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Literally. Right the first term he was saying the quiet part,
- 25:24Speaker 1: he was saying it quietly. It was a dog whistle.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Now it's out loud.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Now it's just out loud. And so these people feel safe,
- 25:32Speaker 2: they feel like they will be protected. And so and
- 25:36Speaker 2: I know you and I have talked about this before,
- 25:38Speaker 2: but when it comes to who's taking care of us? Right, So,
- 25:43Speaker 2: like the members of the LGBTQ community have to protect themselves,
- 25:48Speaker 2: members of the black community have to protect because the
- 25:51Speaker 2: people that should be protecting us are not. And not
- 25:55Speaker 2: only are they not protecting us, it seems as though
- 25:58Speaker 2: they're going out of their way to remove us, to
- 26:01Speaker 2: quiet us. That's what it feels like. That's what it
- 26:05Speaker 2: feels like. And so again, when when something happens to
- 26:10Speaker 2: a trans.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Person, right, I was just going to talk about trans right.
- 26:14Speaker 2: When something happens to a trans person, because it feels
- 26:18Speaker 2: like trans folks are under attack. It feels that the
- 26:23Speaker 2: communities that we belong to need to, yeah, put those
- 26:28Speaker 2: names front, up front, so that everybody hears about it. Right,
- 26:32Speaker 2: So when when there is somebody like Trey Read or
- 26:36Speaker 2: when there is somebody like Taji Fortune, it is up
- 26:39Speaker 2: to us to bring that to the front.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Some At this point where it's like these white gay
- 26:45Speaker 1: influencers that are all over Instagram, I don't fucking care
- 26:51Speaker 1: about your photo on Fire Island in a swimsuit if
- 26:55Speaker 1: you are not also like I just like that shit
- 26:59Speaker 1: pisses me off so much. Like you're a New Yorker,
- 27:02Speaker 1: you live in Hell's kitchen, you're a gorgeous white gay
- 27:05Speaker 1: man who like is enjoying his life out and proud,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and you have like a big following. You also need
- 27:12Speaker 1: to call out the most vulnerable members of your community,
- 27:15Speaker 1: like there are like white gay men, especially if they're hot,
- 27:20Speaker 1: have so much. I'm seriously, no real, they're like posting
- 27:25Speaker 1: on the shit of just like like off to Abitha
- 27:28Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, that's great. I haven't seen a
- 27:31Speaker 1: single post from you, and you've got two hundred thousand
- 27:34Speaker 1: followers and you haven't said anything about trans rites or
- 27:38Speaker 1: about people who are getting murdered because they're not like
- 27:42Speaker 1: non binary, or you're you're just not calling attention to
- 27:45Speaker 1: any of the things in your own community and you
- 27:49Speaker 1: have all this power, agency and privilege Like that shit
- 27:51Speaker 1: drives me fucking crazy. I'm like, and you're saying that
- 27:54Speaker 1: you're part of, you know, a group that is other,
- 27:57Speaker 1: but you won't speak up for the people in your
- 27:59Speaker 1: own community that are don't enjoy those same privileges you do.
- 28:03Speaker 2: What do you think that's about? If you? If you,
- 28:05Speaker 2: I mean, and we don't know, right, we don't know
- 28:07Speaker 2: what people are thinking.
- 28:08Speaker 1: We don't know what people are thinking. But I think
- 28:11Speaker 1: it's about pulling up the ladder behind you. I think
- 28:14Speaker 1: it's about I see this happen in a lot of
- 28:17Speaker 1: different communities. Someone gets a seat at the table. It's
- 28:20Speaker 1: the Latinos who voted for Trump. It is the literal
- 28:23Speaker 1: like Latinos for Trump community, which the leader of that
- 28:27Speaker 1: group got deported by the way, right, you know. And
- 28:29Speaker 1: so it happens in so many communities, whether it's communities
- 28:35Speaker 1: of color or the gay community, that this this. I
- 28:40Speaker 1: got a seat at the table and there was only one.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Seat, and I don't want to share.
- 28:44Speaker 1: And I don't want to try and make room and
- 28:45Speaker 1: scooch over, you know what I mean.
- 28:47Speaker 2: And you know what you mean.
- 28:48Speaker 1: And it's like, I don't know the psychology behind you. Yeah.
- 28:51Speaker 2: My grandfather used to always say, you know, with privilege
- 28:54Speaker 2: comes responsibility. Yeah, And I think that for people who
- 29:00Speaker 2: I think have felt othered in the past, they are
- 29:04Speaker 2: afraid to feel that way again away from that film,
- 29:09Speaker 2: and they want to get away from that feeling so
- 29:11Speaker 2: bad that they pushed down on anybody else. And I'm
- 29:16Speaker 2: not and you know, and again I don't know the
- 29:17Speaker 2: psychology behind that either. And I'm not necessarily trying to
- 29:21Speaker 2: find an excuse, but you know, I'm always wanting to know,
- 29:23Speaker 2: why is somebody like this, Why is somebody doing this?
- 29:27Speaker 2: And maybe that's why I think some people might feel
- 29:33Speaker 2: like they are not qualified to make a statement like
- 29:38Speaker 2: that because they don't know enough, and I think that
- 29:43Speaker 2: they are not giving people the benefit of the doubt
- 29:47Speaker 2: because you can say, you know what, I don't know
- 29:49Speaker 2: a whole lot about this, But here's a story that
- 29:52Speaker 2: I heard. I have it on good authority that it
- 29:54Speaker 2: is a real story. This thing that happened to this
- 29:58Speaker 2: trans person. It is not okay, And I want to
- 30:04Speaker 2: take a moment away from my skincare routine, which is okay, right,
- 30:08Speaker 2: and it's okay.
- 30:09Speaker 1: To tell skincare routine. Add there's actually.
- 30:14Speaker 2: This woman that I follow who is a makeup artist. Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 2: she's gorgeous and she's beaten the face, but while she
- 30:23Speaker 2: is doing that, her voiceover is talking about something serious. Yeah,
- 30:29Speaker 2: I love her, And at the end of the of
- 30:31Speaker 2: her of her content, she'll had to listen to the
- 30:35Speaker 2: products that she used.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 30:37Speaker 2: So she's she's doing the thing that she's famous for, right,
- 30:42Speaker 2: her hair and makeup, but the voiceover behind it is
- 30:45Speaker 2: talking about something serious. I think that that is such
- 30:49Speaker 2: a good use of her platform because she's doing the
- 30:54Speaker 2: thing her sponsorships or whatever, and she's talking about something serious.
- 30:58Speaker 2: But I don't know that an enough people think that
- 31:01Speaker 2: they are in a place to do that, and I
- 31:05Speaker 2: also think, like you said, people are.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Afraid of losing their seats.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Losing their seats.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I will say, you don't have to be trans
- 31:13Speaker 1: to post about No, you don't trans person who was
- 31:16Speaker 1: murdered or someone who is getting hate crimeed. You don't
- 31:19Speaker 1: have to be black. I post about the black girl
- 31:21Speaker 1: Mississippi who was lynched, And actually, if you are not,
- 31:26Speaker 1: you actually really should right because people are people hear
- 31:30Speaker 1: from me all the time about immigrant rights, about gay rights,
- 31:33Speaker 1: about what's going on in the news, what person of
- 31:36Speaker 1: color was murdered. They're hearing from you, Like there, I
- 31:40Speaker 1: actually do a lot of that, and I get excited
- 31:43Speaker 1: because I know a lot of my following is white
- 31:46Speaker 1: and in suburban communities. So I'm like, cool, if these
- 31:51Speaker 1: folks that follow me start to share with their community,
- 31:54Speaker 1: that's where we see the movable middle actually get impacted
- 31:57Speaker 1: or hear about these stories too, Middle America, where maybe
- 32:02Speaker 1: they're not going to be exposed to people like you
- 32:05Speaker 1: and me who walk down the street. And so that
- 32:09Speaker 1: is where I'm like, Okay, you have a response, You
- 32:12Speaker 1: really have a responsibility. Folks who are in those suburban,
- 32:17Speaker 1: super white communities, maybe there are no people of color
- 32:20Speaker 1: in your community, or no immigrants in your kids' schools.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Those are the folks who I would love to be
- 32:27Speaker 1: sharing more of those stories because, like I said, I mean,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I'm in an echo chamber so much.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the other thing is that so I'm
- 32:35Speaker 2: a black woman, right, so this is something that bothered me,
- 32:40Speaker 2: but sometimes I think that the people of a specific
- 32:46Speaker 2: community are.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Tired so sick I having to talk about there.
- 32:52Speaker 2: So that like you said, right, so like I'm not
- 32:55Speaker 2: a gay man, yeah, but if or a trans person,
- 32:59Speaker 2: but if something happens to a gay man or a
- 33:02Speaker 2: lesbian or a trans person while that community, I'm sure
- 33:07Speaker 2: they're doing everything that they can, but maybe I give
- 33:10Speaker 2: them a little bit of a break, let them rest,
- 33:13Speaker 2: and then I then use whatever voice I have to
- 33:17Speaker 2: bring attention to this other issue. And so you as
- 33:21Speaker 2: a you know, as a white man, gay or not,
- 33:25Speaker 2: but you have heard a story about a black person
- 33:28Speaker 2: and maybe it's then you say, you know what, I'm
- 33:31Speaker 2: gonna let the black community rest a little bit, correct,
- 33:36Speaker 2: so that maybe it's now your turn to bring attention
- 33:39Speaker 2: to it. Do you know what I'm saying? And I
- 33:40Speaker 2: know that you do that, but it is in a
- 33:42Speaker 2: very general way. I think that sometimes I don't have
- 33:45Speaker 2: to be Asian to think that an Asian hate crime
- 33:50Speaker 2: is problematic, right, and then maybe I should say something
- 33:54Speaker 2: about it and let the Asian community gather themselves.
- 33:59Speaker 1: So many Haitian people are following you. You share a
- 34:01Speaker 1: story about Haiti, following has already seen it.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Right exactly, But if I share it.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It's like, oh, okay, a lot of people don't know
- 34:09Speaker 1: what's going on.
- 34:09Speaker 2: In correct, they don't know what they don't know what's
- 34:11Speaker 2: going on.
- 34:12Speaker 1: So everyone, like everyone who follows you, they're like, yeah,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I've got a cousiner is there right now?
- 34:16Speaker 2: For sure? Right? But like maybe the people who and
- 34:19Speaker 2: I don't have a huge following at all, But maybe
- 34:20Speaker 2: the people who do follow me are not really tapped
- 34:24Speaker 2: into trans issues, and maybe I came across something and
- 34:29Speaker 2: I will say, hey, you know what, this is the
- 34:31Speaker 2: story that I heard. This is terrible or this is wonderful.
- 34:36Speaker 2: It could be a wonderful story, and I will put
- 34:40Speaker 2: attention to it, and maybe the people who follow me
- 34:43Speaker 2: who are not tapped in will be like, oh, that's
- 34:45Speaker 2: an interesting thing or that's a really horrible thing. Let
- 34:48Speaker 2: me then pass it along. It's I think and again
- 34:52Speaker 2: that is community, right, Yes, that is community.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Don't have to have a huge following to have that community. No,
- 34:58Speaker 1: you don't.
- 34:59Speaker 2: You don't. And followers correct, and you know, build ninety
- 35:02Speaker 2: people that you know, maybe somebody else they pass it
- 35:05Speaker 2: on and some information happens.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get into a deep dive. We have a guest,
- 35:11Speaker 1: we do. We're talking to Congressman Garcia. We haven't talked
- 35:14Speaker 1: to him in a long time. Became a fan of
- 35:17Speaker 1: the pod, came on the show months ago, very early,
- 35:20Speaker 1: very early on a year ago, and he's back. We're
- 35:24Speaker 1: going to talk to him. So you may notice when
- 35:26Speaker 1: we go into deep dive kind of look a little different.
- 35:29Speaker 2: A little bit, and the setting will be different, and
- 35:32Speaker 2: you'll know the bits will be different.
- 35:34Speaker 1: When it's forty miles a rough highway. The lighting in
- 35:38Speaker 1: my home, I'm not saying, Melissa will.
- 35:40Speaker 2: No am I home too.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Okay, it's not studio lighting, it is not, so buckle up.
- 35:46Speaker 1: This is a great time to switch to audio. Actually,
- 35:51Speaker 1: we won't have the studio lighting, the vasoline over the
- 35:54Speaker 1: lens in our home studios.
- 35:56Speaker 2: So be forgiving, be kind, yes, and.
- 35:58Speaker 1: We will be right back with Congressman Garcia. Ye, welcome
- 36:03Speaker 1: back to Brief re Sis. This is under oath where
- 36:05Speaker 1: we take a deep dive into a hot topic that
- 36:07Speaker 1: is all over your feed, that is in the headlines
- 36:10Speaker 1: this week. Right now, we are pleased to share that
- 36:13Speaker 1: we are joined by Congressman Robert Garcia, who represents California's
- 36:17Speaker 1: forty second district, covering Long Beach and southern Los Angeles.
- 36:21Speaker 1: He was born in Lima, Peru, and he's the first
- 36:23Speaker 1: openly gay immigrant in Congress. He's the former mayor of
- 36:27Speaker 1: Long Beach, and he serves as the ranking member of
- 36:29Speaker 1: the House Oversit Committee currently reviewing and investigating the Epstein Files.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Please join me in welcoming Congressman Robert Garcia.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Welcome, Yeah, happy.
- 36:39Speaker 1: To be back.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Thank you. It's good to see you you too.
- 36:42Speaker 1: So we thought it'd be great to have you on
- 36:44Speaker 1: the show because Todd Blanche is now the Attorney General,
- 36:49Speaker 1: and I know that you have been intimately involved in
- 36:53Speaker 1: everything that's happening with the Epstein files and the investigation
- 36:56Speaker 1: therein as Oversight Committee leader. What do you believe Todd
- 37:01Speaker 1: Blanche knows that Congress still needs to get out of
- 37:04Speaker 1: him in regards to the Epstein files, Well, I think.
- 37:08Speaker 3: First a couple of things are important. People need to
- 37:10Speaker 3: recognize that only half of the Epstein files have been released.
- 37:14Speaker 3: About three million documents have not been released. So imagine
- 37:17Speaker 3: an investigation where half the evidence has not been released
- 37:19Speaker 3: to the public. And we honestly believe that some of
- 37:22Speaker 3: the more incriminating information inn agency communication, possibly obviously conversations
- 37:30Speaker 3: with the President and or others. A lot of that
- 37:33Speaker 3: exists in this batch of files that hasn't been released
- 37:35Speaker 3: to the public. In addition to that, we know from
- 37:38Speaker 3: Pam Bondi, the former ag that Todd Blanche basically directed
- 37:43Speaker 3: this whole operation at the White House. I mean, this
- 37:45Speaker 3: whole White House cover up has been really a Todd
- 37:47Speaker 3: Blanche creation. And we know from reporting that he was
- 37:51Speaker 3: there with Susie Wilds, with JD.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Vance, with Mark Rubio, with the bunt of other folks
- 37:58Speaker 1: as well. So you did act, she questioned Pam Bondy,
- 38:01Speaker 1: and she shifted responsibility very clearly for the Epstein files
- 38:05Speaker 1: to Todd Blanche. So what did she tell you that
- 38:09Speaker 1: made you think? You know? Blanche is now the person
- 38:13Speaker 1: Congress most needs to hear from, right when you were
- 38:15Speaker 1: talking to Pam Bondi about this, well, she.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Mentioned him, I think thirty five times as the person
- 38:21Speaker 3: in charge of leading the Epstein investigation at the DOJ,
- 38:24Speaker 3: and so she clearly pointed all of the energy on
- 38:28Speaker 3: Todd Blanche. And like the survivors themselves have said that
- 38:30Speaker 3: Todd Blanche has been tentral I mean, this is the guy,
- 38:32Speaker 3: by the way, that directed the move of Glene Max
- 38:35Speaker 3: Roll from a really secure facility to a less secure
- 38:40Speaker 3: kind of like club fed environment facility, which no one
- 38:44Speaker 3: explains to us to this day as to why that happened.
- 38:46Speaker 3: He went to go meet with Glaine Maxwell one on one.
- 38:48Speaker 3: We still didn't know what happened in those kind of conversations.
- 38:52Speaker 3: We don't know why she's getting special treatment. So everything
- 38:55Speaker 3: always points back to Todd Blanche, and I think it's
- 38:58Speaker 3: important people to remember also this someone that was Donald
- 39:01Speaker 3: Trump's former personal lawyer. This is not some career DOJ
- 39:05Speaker 3: official or some well known former state ag. This was
- 39:09Speaker 3: Donald Trump's lawyer for a long time who is now
- 39:12Speaker 3: the Attorney general.
- 39:13Speaker 1: So you've been demanding that Todd Blanche up here before
- 39:19Speaker 1: the committee and submit to an interview regarding the Epstein investigation.
- 39:24Speaker 1: What has the response been since you've issued that demand.
- 39:29Speaker 3: So obviously we're in the minority as Democrats, and so
- 39:32Speaker 3: who the folks at control? Who comes in are the
- 39:34Speaker 3: Republicans and the chair of the Oversight Committee, James Comber,
- 39:39Speaker 3: who leads Republicans, my counterpart, he's committed that he were
- 39:42Speaker 3: going to bring in Todd Blanche. He kept saying, Oh,
- 39:44Speaker 3: if he gets confirmed, he'll come in. So we've been
- 39:46Speaker 3: again asking the question, when is he coming in? Because
- 39:49Speaker 3: he needs to pats on the Epstein investigation. So time's
- 39:53Speaker 3: a ticket. It's time for him to come in.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Down right. Why hasn't that happened yet?
- 39:57Speaker 3: Look, I think there's no question that Todd Blanche is
- 39:59Speaker 3: lead being the White House cover up. He's trying to
- 40:02Speaker 3: exonerate President Trump. Donald Trump and Epstein we're best friends.
- 40:06Speaker 3: For ten years. People were being trafficked from mar al
- 40:10Speaker 3: Lago to Epstein. And so there's enough there as including
- 40:14Speaker 3: all the other powerful men around the world that have
- 40:17Speaker 3: engaged with Epstein to abuse and rape women and children,
- 40:21Speaker 3: and we need to get to the truth. And Todd
- 40:22Speaker 3: Blanche keeps leading this cover up.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Is there an expected timetable when he absolutely has to
- 40:29Speaker 2: be spoken to and people need to ask him, or
- 40:32Speaker 2: at this point, because Democrats are in the minority, it's
- 40:35Speaker 2: sort of out of I hate to use this word,
- 40:38Speaker 2: but sort of out of your control, do you know
- 40:40Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 40:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look, unfortunately, at the end of the day,
- 40:44Speaker 3: the control of who comes in to testify and when
- 40:48Speaker 3: is up to the Republicans. It's only been there have
- 40:50Speaker 3: been some cases where Democrats have been able to force
- 40:52Speaker 3: a subpoena emotion where we've had a few Republicans join
- 40:55Speaker 3: us to win very slim margins of votes.
- 40:58Speaker 1: But that's rare.
- 40:58Speaker 3: We can get we you know, we maneuver that when
- 41:01Speaker 3: somehow we kind of spring it on them, or we
- 41:04Speaker 3: get a couple of people that we pick people off
- 41:05Speaker 3: that want to support the investigation. But at the end
- 41:08Speaker 3: of the day, this is James Comber, the chair's decision.
- 41:10Speaker 3: He has promised and said it publicly dozens of times,
- 41:14Speaker 3: and he wants to have Todd Blanche in. And so
- 41:16Speaker 3: we expect and I hope that when we're back in
- 41:19Speaker 3: session in September mid September, that we have Todd Blanche
- 41:22Speaker 3: actually in.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Here's hoping you've said this week that Blanche is trying
- 41:26Speaker 1: to expand executive privilege in a way that could obstruct
- 41:31Speaker 1: the Epstein investigation. What could that prevent Congress from getting?
- 41:35Speaker 1: They are we only we already only have half the files,
- 41:39Speaker 1: So what would that actually do if he was able
- 41:41Speaker 1: to do that? And like, how do we stop it?
- 41:44Speaker 3: So the files themselves are a piece of evidence, right,
- 41:47Speaker 3: Interviews with survivors are a piece of evidence. Interviews that
- 41:50Speaker 3: we that we have with a bunch of folks involved
- 41:52Speaker 3: in the Epstein orbits all part of the evidence. Another
- 41:54Speaker 3: important part of data and information that we need are
- 41:58Speaker 3: communications within the administry. Who talked to who about the
- 42:02Speaker 3: Epstein files? Was there a cover up? Who directed that
- 42:04Speaker 3: cover up? And one of the very first things Todd
- 42:06Speaker 3: Blanche does now that he's ags, he puts out this
- 42:08Speaker 3: new guidance. It says, I'm going to expand executive privilege.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Executive privilege essentially means that he president Republican or Democrats.
- 42:15Speaker 3: It's all been all this way in the past, has
- 42:17Speaker 3: some level of confidentiality between himself and another member of
- 42:21Speaker 3: his administration, and there are certain topics perhaps that might
- 42:24Speaker 3: be national security or whatever else that covers that. What
- 42:27Speaker 3: he has now said, is that executive privilege actually is
- 42:29Speaker 3: so broad that it's the president and anyone else outside
- 42:34Speaker 3: the administration that they may view as like a key advisor.
- 42:37Speaker 3: And so what that really means now is that Donald
- 42:39Speaker 3: Trump can be having conversations or directing things with people
- 42:43Speaker 3: outside of government and they're still considering that executive privilege.
- 42:47Speaker 3: That's illegal. We think it's unconstitutional. It's not going to
- 42:50Speaker 3: hold up in court. But it's an example of what
- 42:52Speaker 3: Todd blanch is trying to do to protect Donald Trump.
- 42:55Speaker 3: And it allows now for Donald Trump, on any issue
- 42:58Speaker 3: around Epstein, or anyone else for that matter in the administration,
- 43:01Speaker 3: to somehow claim that they can't release that information because
- 43:04Speaker 3: it's executive privilege, and it's retroactive by the way, So
- 43:07Speaker 3: it's things that Donald Trump could have talked about when
- 43:10Speaker 3: he served as president. In the last couple of.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Years, millions of Epstein related files are still being withheld.
- 43:17Speaker 1: We only have half the files. The victims have seen
- 43:20Speaker 1: no justice Gallain Maxwell meets with Todd Blanche and gets
- 43:26Speaker 1: a cushy prison upgrade. What is the most important category
- 43:32Speaker 1: of documents the public hasn't seen yet from the Epstein
- 43:36Speaker 1: files is there something you've seen that the public hasn't
- 43:39Speaker 1: seen yet.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Most of what Congress has seen, the public has seen.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I think there's been some things that have been redacted
- 43:45Speaker 3: to protect certain survivors that we haven't seen, but the
- 43:48Speaker 3: public has seen most of what we have seen on
- 43:50Speaker 3: the actual files. What we still don't have is, we
- 43:54Speaker 3: believe is a lot of communication between administration officials, officials
- 44:00Speaker 3: and the president and or different things that they view
- 44:04Speaker 3: as executive privilege, I mean, anything to do with the
- 44:07Speaker 3: President of the United States. They have this blanket executive
- 44:11Speaker 3: privilege strategy which which we don't think actually can aligned
- 44:16Speaker 3: with the law. And so there's a lot of Donald
- 44:18Speaker 3: Trump information and files that we believe still exist with
- 44:23Speaker 3: the DOJ we have not seen, and that is incredibly problematic.
- 44:27Speaker 3: We also don't have any information about who has been
- 44:29Speaker 3: directing the cover up and why. Why from day one
- 44:33Speaker 3: were they saying that we're going to release the files
- 44:34Speaker 3: but then didn't. Why'd they call it a hoax, Why'd
- 44:36Speaker 3: they say there was nothing else to be released, Why
- 44:39Speaker 3: they docks, Why do they docks some of the survivors.
- 44:41Speaker 3: All that information has also not been released to us,
- 44:45Speaker 3: and so that's We're not going to stop until we
- 44:47Speaker 3: get all the files released and until there's justice. And
- 44:50Speaker 3: we don't care who's implicated, whether the Republicans or Democrats
- 44:54Speaker 3: or independents. We could care less your party, how much
- 44:57Speaker 3: money or wealth you have, but if you actually abused, trafficked,
- 45:01Speaker 3: raped children or women, you should be held accountable. And
- 45:05Speaker 3: the fact that there has been no accountability for so
- 45:07Speaker 3: many of these men is why we're in this fight.
- 45:09Speaker 1: We've got to get justice for the survivors.
- 45:11Speaker 2: We do. Agreed, agreed.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Congressman for joining us. I appreciate
- 45:16Speaker 1: you and all the work that you're doing. I look
- 45:18Speaker 1: forward to where this investigation is headed. It's so important,
- 45:22Speaker 1: So thank.
- 45:22Speaker 2: You, Thank you so much. We really appreciate it. Thank you.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Welcome back to brief recess. Wow, that was such a
- 45:32Speaker 1: great conversation with the Congressman Garcia. It was really interesting
- 45:37Speaker 1: when he was talking about skydiving. He was talking about
- 45:40Speaker 1: his first time bungee jumping. That was incredible.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I had some serious critiques about Odyssey.
- 45:48Speaker 1: He said it wasn't focused in that my eyes are
- 45:50Speaker 1: going well.
- 45:51Speaker 2: That I believe, but he took issue with the plot.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Should we pretend that we just like ran back here
- 45:56Speaker 1: from our homes. Like, oh, who back in the studio, thanks, guys,
- 46:02Speaker 1: like bed knobs and broomsticks, you're just like zooting back
- 46:05Speaker 1: and forth. Let's get that's a throwback. That's a throwback.
- 46:10Speaker 1: CJ knows childhood the nineties. You remember bed knobs and broomsticks?
- 46:14Speaker 1: No idea, Oh oh my god.
- 46:17Speaker 2: In the nineties, I was a grown adult.
- 46:22Speaker 1: I was watching children.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I was out making terrible life choices. No.
- 46:26Speaker 1: When was bed nabs and broom stix was like the eighties.
- 46:29Speaker 1: It was like ogg. It was like back in the
- 46:32Speaker 1: day when, like CG. I was like a guy just
- 46:33Speaker 1: like with a marker on the camera. It was a
- 46:36Speaker 1: bunch of white kids travel on a bed that flies everywhere.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Never in my life. You've never even heard of her
- 46:41Speaker 2: in my life?
- 46:42Speaker 1: Who is she? Who would play her? She's like she
- 46:46Speaker 1: looks like the sound of music lady. But it's like
- 46:49Speaker 1: Angela Landsbury that's right, yeah, okay. And it was like
- 46:53Speaker 1: you touched the bed and it would fly away, so insane,
- 46:58Speaker 1: and that would fly to a magical land. Angela Lance
- 47:00Speaker 1: very rest in peace.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Miss.
- 47:04Speaker 1: She invented the term her movie Gaslight is where the
- 47:07Speaker 1: term gaslighting comes from yeah, sorry, not to like man'splain
- 47:10Speaker 1: no no.
- 47:11Speaker 2: No, no, no, no no no. I didn't always know,
- 47:14Speaker 2: but I happen to know.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Sorry to man slain. Guys, everyone's like we know in
- 47:18Speaker 1: the comment. Okay, welcome back to what's the show? Briefly,
- 47:24Speaker 1: we're going to read all the wicked and wild freakiki
- 47:27Speaker 1: things you send in and only one thing about Traders.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Friends, what do I always say while Michael is a lawyer,
- 47:36Speaker 2: I hate.
- 47:36Speaker 1: You so stupid, I'm ready to go.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Sorry, friends, what do I always say while Michael is
- 47:44Speaker 2: a lawyer, He's not your lawyer, So get your own
- 47:48Speaker 2: all right. Well, apparently people are very invested in the
- 47:52Speaker 2: fact that Michael is in Traders. So here, here's the thing,
- 47:56Speaker 2: is that we understand that for everybody out there who cares.
- 48:01Speaker 1: About this sort of thing, not Melissa.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Well no, it's it's news to you.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Right unless that's my emergency call.
- 48:08Speaker 2: But as his emergency contact, I already knew all about this,
- 48:12Speaker 2: So it just feels like chatter. And like I said,
- 48:15Speaker 2: people keep on asking me.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Questions and I'm not telling you leave her alone. Also,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm not even.
- 48:21Speaker 2: On the show Melissa alone.
- 48:23Speaker 1: She's drunken outside. I'm not even on the show anymore.
- 48:26Speaker 1: And Melissa is calling them saying call the pluck. She's like, get.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Jesse, yank yankin. So we're going to read a few
- 48:35Speaker 2: but actually super grateful that people had been chiming in.
- 48:38Speaker 2: So we're going to read a few. A few comments
- 48:45Speaker 2: our friends and former guests. Ben Hopkins, I'm in every
- 48:50Speaker 2: chat freaking out right.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Really is? And he was, and he kept putting me
- 48:53Speaker 1: in the chats.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Was he really?
- 48:55Speaker 1: I I don't know who this is. It Isebuela. Okay,
- 49:02Speaker 1: someone said see something, say something, really, Michael, So no
- 49:05Speaker 1: more walking past choking victims. Okay, am my defense, I
- 49:09Speaker 1: was like nineteen and drinking and doing drugs and just
- 49:13Speaker 1: being a mess. So well maybe that's not a very
- 49:16Speaker 1: good defense. But in my defense, he wasn't. I didn't
- 49:20Speaker 1: think he was choking. I thought he was barfing. Okay,
- 49:23Speaker 1: So I kept moving, I kept I took a hike. Yeah,
- 49:25Speaker 1: I said, cross the street if you see me coming,
- 49:27Speaker 1: all right, across the street. If you're choking. I don't
- 49:30Speaker 1: want to see that.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Mar Mar's words. I want Melissa's my emergency contact. Also,
- 49:37Speaker 2: I'm a good one. I'm a good one. I don't
- 49:40Speaker 2: know why this is funny, but this is funny to me.
- 49:43Speaker 2: A wild Geese bookshop, but Diva better get ready to
- 49:47Speaker 2: have salmon for breakfastness booth, better than going to Rikers.
- 49:51Speaker 2: I'm so excited. What's really funny about that is that
- 49:56Speaker 2: they are obviously referencing something that I don't understand, and
- 50:00Speaker 2: I still think it's funny.
- 50:01Speaker 1: So they feed you salmon all the time in Scotland
- 50:03Speaker 1: because it's like Scottish salmon.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's so I'll say, is it the smoked or.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Any any of salmon? Is just the freshest salmon because
- 50:13Speaker 1: it's coming right from the boat.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 50:15Speaker 1: And so well you're going to You're going.
- 50:18Speaker 2: To Ireland and Scotland and Scotland.
- 50:21Speaker 1: When are you going?
- 50:22Speaker 2: I think yeah soon. I think by the time this
- 50:25Speaker 2: episode airs I would have I'll be there.
- 50:28Speaker 1: And they're doing actually I wanted to tell you about this.
- 50:30Speaker 1: In Ireland, they're doing a thing where they'll pay you
- 50:33Speaker 1: eighty thousand pounds euro to buy a rustic old house
- 50:40Speaker 1: there and fix it up.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Isn't it for people with Irish heritage though? My ancestor, Yeah,
- 50:47Speaker 2: it is the the colinis are part of my ancestry.
- 50:53Speaker 2: It goes to France, which does coct it, but it's
- 50:56Speaker 2: not Ireland. Although there was like two percent, it's the
- 51:01Speaker 2: you know, the big numbers don't really do it because
- 51:03Speaker 2: you kind of figure them out.
- 51:05Speaker 1: It's one little surprise.
- 51:06Speaker 2: But there was like a surprise. And I want to say,
- 51:08Speaker 2: was like japan, who's that guy?
- 51:12Speaker 1: She said?
- 51:13Speaker 2: It was interesting.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I was just like, you listened to the Gwen Stefani
- 51:16Speaker 1: Harajuku album once and you're doing in your twenty three
- 51:19Speaker 1: and me came back two percent Japanese bananas.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Anyway. Okay, wait, the wild unicorn is really annoyed, they
- 51:30Speaker 2: say so. Most of them are social media influencers. Dumb.
- 51:33Speaker 2: I like the UK version where they are actually everyday people.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Okay, Like, I'm not an everyday person?
- 51:41Speaker 2: Are you? Are you not an everyday person?
- 51:43Speaker 1: I don't. I think I am. I have to like
- 51:48Speaker 1: Melissa's look at me like, I'm not.
- 51:51Speaker 2: No, No, Melissa is not looking at you like that.
- 51:54Speaker 2: I'm looking at you to see, I think, because the
- 51:57Speaker 2: hole that you're digging for yourself and I want to
- 51:59Speaker 2: see how deep you'll dig in before you step in.
- 52:02Speaker 1: I'm normal. Okay, I'm a normal New Yorker. Yes, I
- 52:06Speaker 1: got I go to work every day. Sure I eat that.
- 52:09Speaker 1: I eat the sloppy bowl of greens that they serve
- 52:14Speaker 1: up at the private equity own lunch spots.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Kappa Bolel's good and like anyway I am. I'll make
- 52:21Speaker 2: my own salad, thanks very much. I'll get my greens
- 52:24Speaker 2: from the farmer's market green sauce. Oh, what about it?
- 52:28Speaker 1: Okay? So I'm marinating chicken breast. I did like a
- 52:30Speaker 1: couple of spoonfuls. Is that normal amount? Yeah? Okay? Is
- 52:33Speaker 1: there a lot of salt in it? Or should I
- 52:34Speaker 1: be salting the chicken?
- 52:36Speaker 2: There is salt in it, okay, But I always feel
- 52:41Speaker 2: like chicken is like one of those things.
- 52:42Speaker 1: That kind of chickens like a deep breath. A chicken breast,
- 52:46Speaker 1: it's like eating a deep breath. So I mean, I'm
- 52:50Speaker 1: having chicken, it's got to have a lot of rice
- 52:53Speaker 1: with it, with sauce on that, and a salad and
- 52:56Speaker 1: dessert and.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Dessert when you when you when you're eating dessert at home? Right?
- 53:03Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 53:04Speaker 2: How soon after dinner are you eating diner immediately?
- 53:08Speaker 1: What if there is a salty, savory flavor in my mouth.
- 53:12Speaker 1: I want it gone.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Okay, well you just an argument with Andrea because Andrea
- 53:16Speaker 2: will immediately finish eating dinner and right away.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Yes, I don't want to have like garlic in my
- 53:26Speaker 1: taste in my mouth or whatever. The dinner taste was lingering.
- 53:30Speaker 2: So immediately I been hanging out.
- 53:32Speaker 1: I want to eat like a peach, a banana, like
- 53:37Speaker 1: some sort of fruit.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Email after dinner, Yeah, you have had the chicken, the rice,
- 53:43Speaker 2: the vegetables, and then.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I go right to dessert, okay, and then I'm done.
- 53:47Speaker 1: And then it's like it's over, like there's no bedtime snack,
- 53:50Speaker 1: Like I stop eating at like eight, and then that's like.
- 53:53Speaker 2: I think that I think having dinner and then immediately.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Having Who do you agree with coming below?
- 54:01Speaker 2: I mean I don't care fight me. No, I mean
- 54:04Speaker 2: if you can find somebody I don't know eaters.
- 54:06Speaker 1: What do you mean just taking four hours to get
- 54:09Speaker 1: doing a cheese course? What is that? No?
- 54:10Speaker 2: No, no, no, I just don't understand why if you
- 54:13Speaker 2: have finished eating dinner at five thirty that at five
- 54:16Speaker 2: thirty one you're already eating a piece of I mean, I.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Don't get my wrinting shoes on. And go, but like
- 54:20Speaker 1: I do, it is.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Within fifteen minutes. Yeah, oh that's no.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Wait what about you? What do you do? You want
- 54:26Speaker 1: to vibe? You want to hang out? I wait, she's lounging.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I usually if I want something sweet after dinner, and
- 54:32Speaker 2: I usually do. I'm not saying that that's the problem.
- 54:34Speaker 2: It's it's like I have dinner and now I'm sitting
- 54:37Speaker 2: on the couch and we're watching TV.
- 54:40Speaker 1: And now they're like, oh, I could go for it.
- 54:42Speaker 2: I'm going to go have whatever.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Yeah no, oh my god, no, I'm why. I'm like,
- 54:48Speaker 1: let's go, all right, let's roll.
- 54:51Speaker 2: You should have married Andre then, because that's what that
- 54:53Speaker 2: dude is.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Listen and he does that, he gets yeah, he can
- 54:57Speaker 1: call me because I'm right there with them.
- 54:58Speaker 2: It's weird. It's so weird, so weird. So I'm going
- 55:05Speaker 2: to read two things that people have said that I
- 55:09Speaker 2: appreciate that I did not realize that I was doing that,
- 55:14Speaker 2: but now I have realized it. So I think this
- 55:18Speaker 2: person is Helene h sixty three oh seven, And they say,
- 55:25Speaker 2: I absolutely adore you to endlessly, well thank you. Just
- 55:30Speaker 2: the amount of like like like that were put between
- 55:34Speaker 2: every other two words drove me insane. You are both
- 55:38Speaker 2: too intellectual for such a massive overuse of a filler word. Helene,
- 55:44Speaker 2: you are right.
- 55:44Speaker 1: What's the handle?
- 55:46Speaker 2: Heleen? H e e N.
- 55:49Speaker 1: I thought it was my dad because he tells me
- 55:51Speaker 1: that all the joy. Oh my god, my dad calls
- 55:54Speaker 1: me all the time and says, you have to stop
- 55:55Speaker 1: saying like I'm sorry. I grew up on the Paris
- 55:59Speaker 1: Hill and TV show. I grew up on me in
- 56:01Speaker 1: Paris Hilton and then the Nicole Ritchie.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but I didn't and I do it to everyone
- 56:06Speaker 2: I know does it? And and Helene, you are correct.
- 56:11Speaker 1: I know.
- 56:11Speaker 2: And I think that those of us who do that
- 56:15Speaker 2: don't even realize that we're doing it.
- 56:17Speaker 1: And Helene, if you're worried about us, worry about the
- 56:20Speaker 1: gen Z because they're saying they're saying skibbity toilet, they're
- 56:24Speaker 1: saying sky racy.
- 56:26Speaker 2: That six seven. I don't even I still don't understand
- 56:30Speaker 2: what that is.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I don't want to know. Is it a gang thing?
- 56:35Speaker 1: And I won't go near. I don't care what the
- 56:37Speaker 1: street names are. The intersection is, Oh, this is funny.
- 56:46Speaker 2: I didn't see this. This is cute. I love when
- 56:48Speaker 2: something is good about me? Am I alone in that
- 56:54Speaker 2: Lisa Lisa Lisa Sullivan says, I should have been watching
- 56:58Speaker 2: y'all live all along. But let's look and Carrio as
- 57:00Speaker 2: scene with just her face.
- 57:02Speaker 1: She can, she really can. You would have been a
- 57:05Speaker 1: great silent film star as well, just like she did
- 57:10Speaker 1: the thriller dance move for it. Just now, Okay, okay, I.
- 57:17Speaker 2: Really want to read this because I was talking to
- 57:20Speaker 2: c J from Yay Gadget, and this is a review
- 57:26Speaker 2: on the Apple podcast. It's a fun podcast, and I
- 57:29Speaker 2: like how it feels like a casual conversation about what's
- 57:32Speaker 2: going on in their lives and current news. My only
- 57:34Speaker 2: complaint is the constant mm hmm uh huh, Melissa says
- 57:39Speaker 2: while Michael is talking every once in a while. Sure,
- 57:41Speaker 2: but it's too much and it's distracting. Sometimes I just
- 57:45Speaker 2: give shut up. Sometimes I just skip the episode if
- 57:49Speaker 2: it's too much. If they could reel that in the
- 57:51Speaker 2: podcast will be much better. Yy Gadget, let me say
- 57:54Speaker 2: something to you the no no, no, I'm not going
- 57:56Speaker 2: to get them. I'm gonna get me. Because the day
- 58:00Speaker 2: that I read this, within a few moments, CJ had
- 58:04Speaker 2: sent us the link to the last episode, you know,
- 58:08Speaker 2: so we so folks who don't know we we review
- 58:10Speaker 2: the episodes before the give notes. And I read your
- 58:16Speaker 2: comment and I'm listening to myself uh huh and h
- 58:21Speaker 2: a million times and now it's in my head similarly
- 58:25Speaker 2: to the like like like, I do not realize that
- 58:28Speaker 2: I am doing that. And here's why I think. I
- 58:32Speaker 2: don't have an excuse for the like likewike, But the
- 58:34Speaker 2: uhuh is because I want Michael or whoever it is,
- 58:40Speaker 2: to know that I am listening, and so I am
- 58:44Speaker 2: trying to let them know. I think that I am
- 58:46Speaker 2: engaged into what they're saying. But I can appreciate how
- 58:51Speaker 2: annoying that is to listen to because I heard it
- 58:58Speaker 2: and it annoyed me. So now you do less, I'm gonna.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Try, and I think that's great. Yeah, you took the feedback.
- 59:04Speaker 2: I did take the feedback.
- 59:05Speaker 1: CJ has like a little like plug and he just
- 59:09Speaker 1: unplugs my mic when Molyss's talking because he's like, shut
- 59:13Speaker 1: this fucking guy up, and then he just goes and
- 59:15Speaker 1: then when it seems like I'm going to talk, he
- 59:17Speaker 1: plucks it back in. You have to react somewhat to
- 59:19Speaker 1: one anomalist is not saying anything. Oh man, next week,
- 59:24Speaker 1: it's a cardboard cutout. All right, let's do one more, Okay,
- 59:31Speaker 1: Heather and lebar Bartholomew wrote in and said your podcast
- 59:34Speaker 1: the best. It's so good on road trips. My boomer
- 59:37Speaker 1: husband asks if we can listen to it on road trips.
- 59:40Speaker 1: He listens to one local college sports podcast, So trust
- 59:44Speaker 1: and believe this is I praise, Oh my God. Speaking
- 59:49Speaker 1: of my boomer husband, I'm listening to the episode where
- 59:52Speaker 1: you discuss the woman who would foot shortening surgery and
- 59:54Speaker 1: you were concerned that a smaller foot would not support
- 59:57Speaker 1: a tall body. That does sound like something that we
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: were concerned about. And I still am. Melissa's not responding
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: at all to anything. I'm saying. I'm so mad right now.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: We're gonna have to dub her. Move your mouth, and
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we're going to put words in it. We're going to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: dub her and make sure it's a compliment about me. Uh,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Leather says, my husband sixty three and has a size nine.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Foot standing up.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: This was he listened to show lying down on the street.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Do you remember the episode that she's talking about. It
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: was a it was a trans person who was It
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: was a trans woman who was having foot feminization surgery,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: so they were trying to make her foot smaller, which
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: I get. But if she was tall and broad feet
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: that went along with that. Now that her foot is smaller,
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: what are we going to do?
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Is she like a But it looks like this woman
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: is saying that we.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Bull's wobble but they don't fall down. If you know,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: you know he is not amused. Well, he's going to
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: hate this seriously though, How do you stand? How are
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you agile functional human in this world? I agree? I agree?
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Really tall people with tiny feet please write in. I
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: want to know if you fall down more? Are you
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: taking little little stippy steps, tippy step steps, tippy tappers,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: toast tippy toes. Are you a jogger with tiny feet?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: How does that work?
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Well? So here's let me again. I don't know big dogs.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Well they but they go with the rest of you. Yeah,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I'm a big But her husband that this woman is
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: talking about, who's tall and has smaller feet, he has
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: always had those feet, right, He's always been as tall as.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: He is gotten his whole life has been able to right.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: So I was I'm wondering about the person who grew
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: up with these feet and now has made them smaller. Right,
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: that person, I'm much more.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: It's short, little finance guys who get the leg lengthening
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: surgery and they've got really like get their legs busted,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: and they get them taller. Yeah, you know so, and
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: they go from being five to three to five four.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: You know, it's like they go through all this horrific
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: sea and their legs are an excruciating pain.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: You know, I wonder. I mean, I've said this before,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: but I'm gonna ask it again. Do you ever feel
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: like we're running out of shits to do to ourselves?
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: So because and because to my short king's out there,
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: you are okay the way that you are.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Yeah, come set on my lap.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I got a snugyacker wrapum in those pouches.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I love a little short guy. They're so cute. Let
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: me give you a piggyback ride, all right, get me
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: out of here.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Let me give you opion is you're a giant.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Anyway, to Heather's husband, I'm assuming he who listens to
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: local college sports radio and as small feet, I just
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: want to say, Cayler Murray, can you pick it on?
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: Iverson mugs, bogus, Wes Welker. There you go, Heath, that.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Is saying things, but I don't understand.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: That's for you, he said, speaking in tongues. Yeah, I
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: don't started.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm assuming that these are sport references.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I thought it was, and the cast of Hereditary it
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: was it was. He started speaking. He said, I help
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: him on. Damn. He started speaking in tongues. Thank you
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: so much for watching this episode, even if it was
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: a little chaotic, and I look forward to seeing you
