- Craig: Draft season and mock drafts are officially in the books. The real season is here. We are wrapping things up with one final mock draft here on Fat Daddy Sports. Welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig. If you are new here, drop a like, drop a comment, hit that subscribe button. We are on a journey right now to hit our first 100 subs. Today we are jumping into a draft over on Sleeper, a PPR 10-team draft. We are going to go ahead and pick from that 101 spot. This is not a slot that we have picked from a whole lot ⁓ on our mock drafts, but we have done it. ⁓ I think once, maybe twice so far in the draft process, ⁓ we will go ahead and get it started here today. We'll jump right in, and we are without question going to take Jameer Gibbs at that one spot. I just think his upside is much better than Bijan, just on a better offense, more a reliable play caller, more reliable quarterback, and just better weapons around him. ⁓ but after Jameer. Puka, Jamar Chase, Bijan, CMC, JSN, ⁓ Jonathan Taylor, Justin Jefferson, Amon Ross, St. Brown, James Cook, CeeDee Lamb, Devon A. Chan, Ash Gingenti, Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, Ken Walker, Omar Ann Hampton, Chase Brown, and Josh Allen at the end of the second round. So we are now on pick number 10 in the second round. and we already obviously have a running back in Jameer Gibbs. We're looking at the running back position to go running back heavy here. We've got Derrick Henry, Jeremiah Love, Kyron Williams, Javante Williams. ⁓ we'll look at the running or wide receiver, sorry. Drake London, George Pickens, Nico Collins, Malik Neighbors all sitting there at the wide receiver position. ⁓ every tight end is still on the board. So Bowers and McBride are still there. Look at the quarterbacks, everybody but Josh Allen is there. ⁓ we're gonna go ahead and stick with the running backs. This is a guy who I think is going to score a lot of touchdowns. I was a little bit lower on him a few weeks ago, but I've I've really started to come around on him and that And that is Derrick Henry. We will go ahead and take him at that 210. And now we're back up again at the 301. Don't want to go three running backs. I could go to the tight end position and go with my tight end one for the year, Brock Bowers. But I'm going to take a chance. I'm going to hope that maybe Colston Loveland gets back to us here at the 410. ⁓ I like all three of these guys, all four of them really. But the first three I feel very comfortable taking, any of those three. So I'm gonna take ⁓ a chance that maybe Loveland gets back to me and not risk it at wide receiver of not getting a guy back. Drake London, I've talked about extensively on this channel. Very, very worried about him, worried about the quarterback play there in Atlanta this year. He's somebody that I'm steering clear of. George Pickens, I think, is gonna have a massive year. ⁓ I think maybe not as big of a year as last year. ⁓ It's gonna be interesting if him and CeeDee Lamb are both out there healthy all year long. ⁓ what what those numbers are gonna shake out to be. Nico Collins, up and down as well. ⁓ in his career, he could have a big year this year. I'm a lot higher on that Texans offense than maybe a lot of other people are. Montgomery's gonna help him out a lot. ⁓ but I'm gonna go with a guy who I've I've taken in a lot of mock drafts. If he falls to me at this position, I think undoubtedly Had he not gotten injured last year, had he not been battling that injury right now, I think he'd be going in that first round. He'd be up there with those elite wide receivers. And that is Malik Neighbors still battling that injury a little bit. May not be a hundred percent at at ⁓ week one, but it looks like he's gonna be out there. And I will take an 85% Malik Neighbors over a lot of these other guys with questions. I'll go ahead and take neighbors as my wide receiver one. After neighbors goes Drake London, George Pickens, Bowers, Kyron Williams, Trey McBride, Nico Collins, Devonta Smith, ⁓ Ri Ray Rice. Holy smokes. Rasheed Rice, not Ray Rice. Thinking too much about Josh Jacobs, apparently. ⁓ Ray Rice. Wow. I did it again. Rasheed Rice. Brees Hall, Chris Olave, Lamar Jackson, Jeremiah Love, Tet McMillan, Zay Flowers. ⁓ Javante Williams, Ladd McConkey, T. Higgins, and Josh Jacobs in a bot draft ⁓ goes at the end of the fourth round. Not gonna happen in your in your real draft. I can't imagine it's gonna happen. ⁓ but he'll go at the 409. So it's back to us at that 410. And what do you know? The guy that I was hopeful would get back to us here at the 410 is our man Colston Lovelin. He is somebody that I have really, really. Started to like late in this draft season. I've got him on one of my teams, my main league. I was very, very excited to get him. So we will go ahead and take him at the 410. And then we're gonna go ahead. We've got both of our running backs. I don't necessarily think that we need to take a quarterback here. like Drake May, but I don't think that we need to take Drake May there. especially in a 10 team league. ⁓ the quarterbacks should be very, very good later in the draft. Maybe even in the very last round of the draft, I think you can get some guys like Tyler Shook, Kyler Murray, guys that are gonna provide ⁓ massive upside late in the draft. When you have these smaller leagues, the player pool is much, much bigger. So not gonna worry about quarterback, probably until the very end or one of those last few rounds. ⁓ and again, I didn't mention this, but same thing as every draft. No defense, no kickers today, four bench spots, get out of here fairly quickly. We've got our two running backs. We'll look at the wide receivers again. Meka Abuka really, really high on him this year. Toe injury does scare me a little bit, and with my league neighbors still kind of banged up. I'm gonna stay away from Abuka in this draft. Waddle, I think, could have a big year. He's obviously had his injuries in the past, comes over to Denver and should feast in that Michael, ⁓ Michael Thomas role for a Sean Payton offense. But I'm going to go ahead and take a guy that I have been very high on these last few weeks, and that's ⁓ Garrett Wilson for the Jets. I think he's going to be an absolute dog this year, a target monster. And I'm trying to get him on as many of my teams as I can. So I will take the two New York wide receivers in neighbors and Wilson. After that goes David Montgomery, Cam Scadaboo, Devontae Adams, Abuka, Henderson, Drake May, Bucky Irving, Jalen Waddell. Joe Burrow, Travis A. Chan Jr., Tyler Warren, ⁓ DeAndre Swift, Quinshawn Judkins, ⁓ Chuba Hubbard in the middle of the six feels like a bit of a reach to me, but Terry McLaurin goes, DJ Moore, Jamison Williams, and Mike Evans. So it is back to us at the 610, and we're gonna just keep plugging away here. We've got our two running backs. We get to a spot here that I don't really love the running backs. I mean Tutin and Price are okay. I think there's some questions there in Jacksonville. I mean, whoever the guy is going to be, whether it's him or Rodriguez, is going to have a big year. Jadarian Price is set to have a very big beginning of the year. It'll be interesting to see once Charbonnet comes back what Seattle does with that backfield. I just think if they were willing to split the carries with Charbonnet and Ken Walker in the past. I really don't think they're going to just lean on a rookie running back once Charbonnet is back. You could have a very good beginning of the year if you take Jadarian Price. I just worry once you get later in the season and get to crunch time trying to make the playoffs, maybe even in the playoffs, what Charbonnet is going to do to Price's value. So we will look over at the wide receiver position and we will try to just bolster that wide receiver room in ⁓ Malik Neighbors, Garrett Wilson. We've obviously got Colson Lovelin here. Luther Burden is the best available wide receiver, followed by Roma Dunze, ironically. I don't mind taking one of those guys with Colson Loveland. I think there's going to be enough targets to go around. If I had to pick between those two wide receivers, I think Burden's going to be the guy there. ⁓ but very easily could be Odunze. That's just one of those situations that you have to you got to put your money on one of them and you've got to stick with it. You can't be wishy washy. If you play in a lot of leagues, maybe you take, you know, Burden in fifty percent and you take Odunze in the other fifty percent. But for me, I'm putting my money on Burden. ⁓ look at the other wide receivers here, Carnell Tate, Christian Watson, Parker Washington. ⁓ we're gonna go ahead and we've got our two running backs in Gibbs and Henry. I think that we can wait a little bit at the running back position and we're just gonna load up on wide receiver. So we're gonna take and put our money down on Luther Burden, a guy that I was super high on last year, loved. I was fully prepared for a breakout this season. People maybe overreacted too much. He was going up in the fourth round earlier in the drafts. With the injury, he's fallen back a little bit now. And I think getting him here at the end of the sixth feels like a pretty good value. So we'll go ahead and take him. And then we're we're gonna take the upside of a rookie stud wide receiver in Tennessee, and that's Carnell Tate. Love what he could potentially be this year. And as my wide receiver four, I don't need him to explode right from week one. He can sit on the bench and kind of marinate a little bit, pop off at the end of the season when I need him to. After Carnell Tate goes Tucker Kraft, Sam Laporta. Jalen Hurts, Bashaltin, Daniels, Odunze, Price, Warren, Watson, ⁓ Marv goes at the 801, Tony Pollard, Harold Fannon Jr., Kyle Pitts, Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr., ⁓ RJ Harvey, Caleb Williams, and DK Metcalf. So now we are back over here. We're gonna go ahead and take a look at the squad. We're looking at Jameer Gibbs and Derrick Henry at the wide or at the running back position. Malik neighbors and Garrett Wilson at wide receiver with Burden and Tate on the bench and in the flex, and then Colson Loveland at that tight end position. Really like the the start of this team, the core nucleus. ⁓ there's some big, potentially some big weeks there with some guys. I think Derrick Henry is gonna have a massive touchdown season this year, a ton of rushing yards in that Baltimore offense. But we need some more help at the running back position. So we will come over here and we will look at the running backs. Ramondre Stevenson, not a big believer in Ramondre, but he very well could be the RB1 there in New England. ⁓ Rico Dowdle, same thing. ⁓ he feels like a ⁓ safe pick. ⁓ we talked about it a lot on this channel. I don't love Rico Dowdle, but I do think he's gonna be that running back one in the Steelers offense. I don't know how many plays they're gonna run in a game. They're gonna be a very slow, methodical. I think they might score a lot of points and Dowdle might get a lot of red zone carries. So he may be a good later round pick, but he just doesn't feel like he has a lot of upside to me. And if I'm gonna take one of those picks, I'm much more gonna lean towards J.K. Dobbins. I just think that that Denver offense is gonna score more points than the Steelers. So I will hedge there and I will take J.K. Dobbins as my third running back. And then I'm going look at the wide receivers just to be safe here. Cortland Sutton, Michael Wilson, who just signed a big extension with the Cardinals. They love what he's doing. You can kind of read between the lines there. If there was any question of him having a big year or not this year, I I'm still on the side of Marvin Harrison Jr. having a bounce back year. ⁓ so much talent there with Marv. But I do think Michael Wilson's a very good receiver. And I think he is an excellent draft pick in that ninth, tenth round. Obviously here at the beginning of the ninth, I would have to take him here, but really I think he should be going here in the later ninth round. If you can get him in the tenth, phenomenal pick, phenomenal value there with Michael Wilson. Makai Lemon and Chris Godwin also good picks, but we're gonna stick with the running back room. You already know where I'm going. I've gone with him in just about every draft. This is a guy that I am I'm tying my boat to, and we may be going down here. With Jonathan Brooks, a little banged up right now, but should be good to go. Dave Canales publicly just goes on and on about Jonathan Brooks over the last couple years and how he is gonna change this offense when he is out there on the field. So I am gonna just tie to Jonathan Brooks. I may be going down with the ship, but we'll see. we've got Cortland Sutton, Michael Wilson, Mikhail Lemon, Rico Dowdle, Ramondre Stevens Stevenson. Chris Godwin, Dak Prescott, Alec Pierce, who is back at practice, by the way. George Kittle made the trip to Australia with the Niners. Blake Coram, Jordan Addison, Quentin Johnston, Manungay, Diggs, Herbert. ⁓ Herbert was somebody I was really hoping would get back to me here in the 10th, but just didn't work out that way. So he will not be my quarterback. Tyson Reid and Downs go. We are going to go ahead and look at the quarterbacks now. There is still a couple quarterbacks here on this list that I really like later in the draft. Obviously, Dart and pair him with Malik Neighbors could be a big thing or a bad thing. I choose to believe it's a good thing. ⁓ Matthew Stafford, obviously coming off an MVP season where he threw a bajillion touchdowns. He may throw a bajillion and one this year. He may throw 10 less than a bajillion. Who knows? I'm going to Error on the side of age catching up to him, that Rams offense maybe slowing down just a little bit. I think their defense is going to be absolutely lights out and they're not going to have to score as many points this year. So I'm not really like rushing to get Matthew Stafford. If I end up with him in in my leagues as my quarterback, great, whatever. I don't care. But I also think I could probably pick Matthew Stafford Stafford up in a few weeks off the free agent list. Trevor Lawrence, I think, is gonna have a phenomenal year. I think Patrick Mahomes is gonna have a big year coming back from injury. That offense is gonna be retooled and dialed back in with Eric Bienemy there. Bo Nicks, top 10 quarterback in fantasy football the last few years. And it's like nobody even cares. Brock Purdy. Like that's what I mean. There's just so much value at the quarterback position, especially in a 10-team league. Man, I would take any of these guys, even Goff as a weekly streamer. Mayfield in a contract year, he's gonna blow up this year. Kyler Murray with Justin Jefferson and all those weapons in Minnesota. Even Jordan Love, like the the list goes on and on here. Tyler Shuck down here, he'll go undrafted in this league. Malik Willis has some upside. Like there, there's just so much, so much upside at the quarterback position. I'm not even going to worry about it. So we only have four bench spots and then the quarterback position. So we just have one bench spot and a quarterback position to pick. So we are down to our final two picks. We have two running backs and a receiver on the bench. So we're just going to kind of take the best available here. Jordan Mason is a guy that I've talked about extensively on this channel. I really like Jordan Mason this year. Kenny Gainwell, Kenny Gainwell is a very sneaky player to me. I think he's probably going to catch a ton of passes ⁓ in Tampa Bay. He may even take over that job from Bucky Irving. I have no idea. It's just a weird backfield to try to predict this year. But if you can get Kenny Gainwell late in the draft, I mean, he's a sneaky guy. I just I think he's a good solid running back too. I don't think he's ever gonna break fantasy football and be a top, you know, seven running back like Bucky Irving could be, but he's a solid RB too if you get him late in the draft. ⁓ and then you've got Bill Krosky Merritt here, who I've really started to warm up to as the draft process has gone on as well. Look at the wide receivers. Maybe there's somebody here we'll take. I've talked about the Steelers ⁓ wide receivers many, many times. I'm not a fan of them. Wandale Robinson, I already have Carnell Tate, Casey Concepcion. I've taken him in a few drafts. ⁓ I love the talent. Love what I've seen so far. Who knows what that Browns team is going to be, but I don't hate that pick there. ⁓ Jacoby Myers, a lot of mouths to feed there. And I'm not sure if he's gonna be one of the top dogs there. Matthew Golden, kind of the same thing. Debo. Debo's been a top, what, like 30 wide receiver the last few years. Like he's a safe pick, but he's not really somebody that I'm swinging and getting a lot of upside. Like Dejon Stribling, his teammate there in San Francisco. I've taken him in a few drafts late. Really like the talent there. We need another running back. We're just gonna go ahead and take Jordan Mason just to say that we did it. And then we're gonna go ahead and take a quarterback, and we will go with Trevor Lawrence, a top ⁓ top 10 wine or top 10 quarterback last year. I think he was even a top five potentially. Yeah, quarterback four last year. Let's go. Trevor Lawrence, the stud in Jacksonville, is going to lead this team to a championship. We've got Trevor Lawrence, Jameer Gibbs, Derek Henry, Malik Neighbors, Garrett Wilson, Colston Loveland, Luther Burden, Carnell Tate, J.K. Dobbins, Jonathan Brooks, and Jordan Mason. So much potential with this team, so much upside. I really, really like this team. Let me know down in the comments what you guys think. What do you is this team good? Is it not good?
