0:36
Speaker 1: And thanks again for coming out today. I like to
0:39
Speaker 1: start with something funny, and I heard about these three
0:42
Speaker 1: men that were traveling together. It was a Hindu priest,
0:45
Speaker 1: a Jewish rabbi, and a televangelist. They stopped at a
0:49
Speaker 1: farmhouse for lodging. The farmer said, I only have room
0:53
Speaker 1: for two of you in the house. Somebody will have
0:55
Speaker 1: to stay in the barn. The Hindu priest said, I'll
0:57
Speaker 1: do it. A few minutes, there was a knock on
0:59
Speaker 1: the door. He said, I can't stay out there. There's
1:02
Speaker 1: a cow, and cows are sacred in our religion. The
1:05
Speaker 1: Jewish rabbi said, I'll do it. A few minutes later,
1:08
Speaker 1: a knock on the door said, I can't stay out there.
1:10
Speaker 1: There's a pig that wouldn't be kosher. The televangelist finally said,
1:15
Speaker 1: all right, I'll do it. In a few minutes, there
1:17
Speaker 1: was a knock on the door. It was the cow
1:19
Speaker 1: and the pig. I'm the only one that got it.
1:22
Speaker 1: Here we go. Ready? This is my Bible. I am
1:26
Speaker 1: what it says I am. I have what it says
1:28
Speaker 1: I have. I can do what it says I can do. Today,
1:31
Speaker 1: I will be taught the word of God. I boldly
1:34
Speaker 1: confess my mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I
1:39
Speaker 1: will never be the same in Jesus name. God bless you.
1:43
Speaker 1: I want to talk to you today about trouble is temporary.
1:48
Speaker 1: We all face difficulties that don't look like they'll ever change.
1:52
Speaker 1: Seems like the more we pray, the worse it gets.
1:55
Speaker 1: We don't see any sign of things improving. It's easy
1:58
Speaker 1: to live discouraged and accept that it's not meant to be.
2:02
Speaker 1: But Paul said in 2 Corinthians, our present troubles are
2:06
Speaker 1: small and won't last very long. These troubles will soon
2:11
Speaker 1: be over, but the joy to come will last forever.
2:15
Speaker 1: What you're up against may look permanent, Seems like it's
2:18
Speaker 1: going to take years to get well years to get
2:21
Speaker 1: out of debt years to meet the right person Don't
2:24
Speaker 1: be fooled by what you see god is saying the
2:27
Speaker 1: trouble is only temporary It's not going to last very
2:31
Speaker 1: long soon. It's going to be over Soon you're going
2:35
Speaker 1: to see the breakthrough. Soon your health is going to
2:37
Speaker 1: turn around. Soon you're going to meet the person of
2:40
Speaker 1: your dreams. You may not see how this can happen.
2:44
Speaker 1: Everything in your reasoning says it's not possible. You're looking
2:48
Speaker 1: at it in the natural. We serve a supernatural God.
2:51
Speaker 1: He can make things happen that you can't make happen.
2:55
Speaker 1: And instead of thinking of all the reasons why it's
2:57
Speaker 1: not going to work out, how it's going to take forever,
3:00
Speaker 1: try a different approach. Father, thank you that this difficulty
3:04
Speaker 1: will soon be over. Thank you that this sickness, this depression,
3:08
Speaker 1: this family problem will not last very long. Joel, it's
3:13
Speaker 1: already been a long time. That means you are very
3:16
Speaker 1: close to seeing it turn around. You're on the verge
3:19
Speaker 1: of a breakthrough. You're about to see freedom, promotion, problems
3:24
Speaker 1: suddenly resolve, dreams suddenly come to pass. Not in the
3:28
Speaker 1: sweet by and by, but soon things are going to change.
3:32
Speaker 1: Soon that child is going to get back on course.
3:35
Speaker 1: Soon that new door is going to open. Soon the
3:38
Speaker 1: right person is going to show up. Soon you're going
3:41
Speaker 1: to come into overflow. Now you have to get in
3:44
Speaker 1: agreement with God and have a soon mentality. As long
3:48
Speaker 1: as you think it's going to take years, that's going
3:51
Speaker 1: to stop God from working. When you have this soon mentality,
3:55
Speaker 1: you get up each morning with expectancy, knowing that this
3:58
Speaker 1: could be the day that God shows out in your life.
4:02
Speaker 1: When is your health going to turn around? I don't know, Joel.
4:05
Speaker 1: This medical report doesn't look very good at all. That's
4:08
Speaker 1: one report. I'm giving you another report. Soon things are
4:12
Speaker 1: going to change in your favor. When are you going
4:14
Speaker 1: to get out of debt? It looks like it's going
4:17
Speaker 1: to take me 112 years to pay everything off. You're
4:20
Speaker 1: going to be in heaven by then. How about soon
4:22
Speaker 1: I'm coming out of debt? Soon I'm going to lend
4:25
Speaker 1: and not borrow. How can that happen? God owns it all.
4:30
Speaker 1: One touch of his favor and you'll have more than enough.
4:33
Speaker 1: One good break, one idea, one contract and everything will change.
4:38
Speaker 1: When are you going to overcome that addiction? Soon. When
4:42
Speaker 1: are you going to meet the right person? Soon. When
4:44
Speaker 1: is that legal issue going to resolve? Soon. When are
4:48
Speaker 1: you going to sell that property? Soon. When are you
4:51
Speaker 1: going to start your business? Soon. Your mind will tell
4:54
Speaker 1: you all the reasons it's not going to happen. Your
4:57
Speaker 1: problem's too big. The people that you're up against are
5:00
Speaker 1: too powerful. It's been that way too long. Don't believe
5:04
Speaker 1: those lies. Receive this into your spirit. The problem will
5:08
Speaker 1: soon be over. The loneliness will soon be gone. The anxiety,
5:13
Speaker 1: the grief, the barrenness, not able to have a child
5:17
Speaker 1: is coming to an end soon. These present troubles will
5:21
Speaker 1: not last very long. Job went through a great difficulty.
5:26
Speaker 1: He was doing the right thing, honoring God, and the
5:29
Speaker 1: bottom fell out. He lost his business, lost his children,
5:33
Speaker 1: lost his health. He had boils all over his body.
5:36
Speaker 1: And just because we're people of faith doesn't mean we
5:40
Speaker 1: won't have difficulties. You can be doing the right thing
5:44
Speaker 1: and come into trouble. The scripture says, rain falls on
5:47
Speaker 1: the just and the unjust. When it rains at my house,
5:52
Speaker 1: my property gets wet. my next door neighbors, people across
5:56
Speaker 1: the street, everyone in the neighborhood. The rain doesn't discriminate.
6:01
Speaker 1: Don't get discouraged by difficulties. It's just life. The promise
6:05
Speaker 1: we have is not that trouble won't come, but the
6:08
Speaker 1: trouble is not going to last. Soon the trouble will
6:12
Speaker 1: be over. When you're in difficulties, things happen like with
6:16
Speaker 1: Job that you don't understand. He came down with an illness.
6:20
Speaker 1: People at work turned on you. You had a setback
6:23
Speaker 1: in your business. It's easy to live worried, thinking that
6:26
Speaker 1: it's never going to work out. You have to remind
6:29
Speaker 1: yourself it is not permanent. It is not going to
6:33
Speaker 1: last long. Soon it will resolve. All through the day,
6:37
Speaker 1: you need to keep this in your heart. Father, thank
6:39
Speaker 1: you that this trouble is only temporary, that it didn't
6:43
Speaker 1: come to stay, it came to pass. Thank you that
6:45
Speaker 1: it will soon be over. When Job looked at all
6:49
Speaker 1: his circumstances, everything that went wrong, all that he had lost,
6:53
Speaker 1: he got depressed. He sat down in the ashes and
6:57
Speaker 1: wanted to die. One reason he was so discouraged is
7:01
Speaker 1: he saw the trouble as permanent. He didn't see any
7:05
Speaker 1: way he could get out. As long as he had
7:07
Speaker 1: this forever mentality, this is how my life is always
7:11
Speaker 1: going to be, he felt overwhelmed. When you have a setback,
7:15
Speaker 1: thoughts will tell you it's permanent. You'll never get well.
7:18
Speaker 1: You'll never be happy again. You'll never meet someone. If
7:22
Speaker 1: you believe those forever lies, you'll get discouraged and lose
7:26
Speaker 1: your passion. But God won't let you get in a
7:29
Speaker 1: situation that he can't bring you out of. If the
7:33
Speaker 1: trouble was too much, the sickness too great, the opposition
7:37
Speaker 1: too strong, he wouldn't have allowed it. It's a test.
7:41
Speaker 1: What are you going to do? Get discouraged, give up
7:44
Speaker 1: on dreams, live defeated, or are you going to believe
7:48
Speaker 1: that God is on the throne, that he's bigger than
7:51
Speaker 1: what you're facing, that the trouble is temporary, that it's
7:54
Speaker 1: not going to last long? What you believe in times
7:58
Speaker 1: of trouble will determine whether you come out or whether
8:01
Speaker 1: you get stuck there. And at one point, Job changed
8:05
Speaker 1: his attitude. Instead of sitting around defeated, he got up
8:09
Speaker 1: out of the ashes, looked up toward the heavens and said,
8:13
Speaker 1: I know my redeemer lives. He was saying, I know
8:17
Speaker 1: God is still on the throne. I know this difficulty
8:20
Speaker 1: can't stop my destiny. What he has purposed for my
8:24
Speaker 1: life will come to pass. He shifted to an attitude
8:28
Speaker 1: of faith. God let us see both sides of Job,
8:31
Speaker 1: him discouraged, despondent, then him switching over to faith to
8:36
Speaker 1: let us know it's okay to feel things. It's okay
8:40
Speaker 1: to have times when you feel discouraged. You don't see
8:43
Speaker 1: how it can work out. It's okay to start there,
8:46
Speaker 1: but don't finish there. Don't stay in the ashes. Don't
8:50
Speaker 1: stay defeated. At some point, you have to do like
8:54
Speaker 1: Job and say, I know my Redeemer lives. I know
8:58
Speaker 1: God didn't bring me this far to leave me. I
9:00
Speaker 1: know this problem is not permanent. Lord, thank you that
9:04
Speaker 1: it will soon be over. Do you know what that
9:07
Speaker 1: does to the enemy? When he hits you with his
9:10
Speaker 1: best shot, but you don't start complaining, you don't stay
9:13
Speaker 1: in the ashes, you start declaring, soon it's going to
9:17
Speaker 1: turn around. Soon I'm gonna get well. Soon I'm gonna
9:20
Speaker 1: meet someone new. Soon my business is going to take off.
9:24
Speaker 1: Soon I'm gonna laugh again, love again, lead again, run again.
9:29
Speaker 1: When you live with this soon mentality, all the forces
9:33
Speaker 1: of darkness cannot keep you down. Job's situation looked permanent,
9:38
Speaker 1: looked like he had seen his best days, but God
9:41
Speaker 1: not only turned it around, but Job came out with
9:44
Speaker 1: twice what he had before. The scripture says he had
9:47
Speaker 1: twice the cattle, twice the sheep. He got his business back.
9:51
Speaker 1: God never brings you out the same. He makes the
9:54
Speaker 1: enemy pay for bringing the trouble. We hear a lot
9:58
Speaker 1: about the suffering of Job all that he went through.
10:01
Speaker 1: Seems like that was his whole life. The entire book
10:04
Speaker 1: of Job is about his struggle. You would think it
10:07
Speaker 1: went on for 40 years, trouble, heartache, pain, but some
10:11
Speaker 1: commentaries believe the whole struggle was only nine months. All
10:16
Speaker 1: the sickness, all the trouble didn't last years, it was months.
10:29
Speaker 1: What you think is going to take years, what looks
10:32
Speaker 1: like it's going to be a long time to resolve,
10:35
Speaker 1: like with Job, it's going to happen sooner than you think.
10:39
Speaker 1: That trouble looks permanent, but God is saying it's not
10:43
Speaker 1: going to last very long. You're about to see his
10:46
Speaker 1: hand bring healing, restoration, divine connections, promotion. It's not by
10:52
Speaker 1: your might, not by your power, but by the spirit
10:55
Speaker 1: of the living God. 2003, the Houston City Council voted
11:01
Speaker 1: for us to have the compact center. This was a
11:04
Speaker 1: city owned building. We had worked for two years presenting
11:08
Speaker 1: our case and trying to convince council members. When we
11:11
Speaker 1: won the vote, we were so excited. It was like
11:14
Speaker 1: God opened a door that we never dreamed would open.
11:18
Speaker 1: The next day, a company that owns all the high
11:21
Speaker 1: rises around this property filed a federal lawsuit to try
11:25
Speaker 1: to keep us from moving in. They were the largest
11:28
Speaker 1: taxpayer in Texas, a huge real estate company with property
11:33
Speaker 1: all over the state. It was like David versus Goliath.
11:37
Speaker 1: Our attorneys told us that it could be tied up
11:40
Speaker 1: in the courts for 10 years. How these kinds of
11:43
Speaker 1: legal proceedings can be extremely slow. That meant we couldn't
11:47
Speaker 1: move in. We couldn't start our renovations. Our future concerning
11:51
Speaker 1: this building was on hold. The problem was I had
11:55
Speaker 1: already presented the compact center to the church. People had
11:59
Speaker 1: already given to support it. Everyone was excited, asking when
12:03
Speaker 1: are we moving in? I would wake up in the
12:06
Speaker 1: middle of the night in a cold sweat, thoughts telling me,
12:10
Speaker 1: you're gonna look like a fool. What are you gonna
12:13
Speaker 1: do if you don't win the lawsuit? I was tempted
12:16
Speaker 1: to live worried, stressed, but I did what I'm asking
12:20
Speaker 1: you to do. Despite what the experts were saying, despite
12:24
Speaker 1: how permanent it looked, I said, Father, I want to
12:27
Speaker 1: thank you that this trouble is only temporary, that it
12:31
Speaker 1: won't last very long. Lord, I know you're working behind
12:35
Speaker 1: the scenes, fighting our battles, making our crooked places straight,
12:39
Speaker 1: shining down your favor on us. I would check with
12:43
Speaker 1: the attorneys every week looking for some sign of hope.
12:46
Speaker 1: Is there anything new? Nothing. We haven't heard from them.
12:51
Speaker 1: They didn't want to negotiate. They were going to sit
12:54
Speaker 1: back and wait, drag it out for years until we
12:57
Speaker 1: had to do something else. And I could hear that promise,
13:01
Speaker 1: that still small voice saying, Joel, trust me, this trouble
13:05
Speaker 1: is only temporary. Soon it will be over. But my
13:08
Speaker 1: mind would say, are you kidding? Nothing is improving. You're
13:13
Speaker 1: years away from even finding out if it's going to
13:16
Speaker 1: be yours. The battle is taking place in our thinking.
13:20
Speaker 1: Don't accept the lies that it's permanent. It's going to
13:23
Speaker 1: take a long, long time. You have to turn it
13:26
Speaker 1: around and say, Father, thank you that this will resolve
13:29
Speaker 1: sooner than it looks. About eight months after the lawsuit
13:33
Speaker 1: was filed, we received a call from the other side
13:37
Speaker 1: saying they wanted to meet. I was excited. I believed
13:41
Speaker 1: it was the hand of God. Our attorneys were more skeptical.
13:45
Speaker 1: They said it was a ploy. They were just trying
13:47
Speaker 1: to complicate things. We met with them. Not only did
13:52
Speaker 1: they agree to let us have this building, but to
13:55
Speaker 1: lease us 9,000 covered parking spaces. They dropped the lawsuit.
14:01
Speaker 1: The facility was ours, free and clear. What looked like
14:05
Speaker 1: would take years to happen took place in a few months.
14:09
Speaker 1: God is saying to you, what you're up against is
14:13
Speaker 1: going to resolve much sooner than it looks. That trouble
14:17
Speaker 1: is not going to last long. That addiction is not
14:20
Speaker 1: going to hinder you your whole life. The sickness, depression,
14:24
Speaker 1: anxiety is not going to stop your destiny. Soon it's
14:28
Speaker 1: going to be over. Not years, but months. Why don't
14:32
Speaker 1: you get in agreement with God? You may not see how.
14:36
Speaker 1: The giant looks too big. The sickness too great. The
14:39
Speaker 1: opposition too strong. You're not in this by yourself. The
14:43
Speaker 1: Most High God is fighting for you. He knows how
14:47
Speaker 1: to move people out of the way. He can do
14:49
Speaker 1: what medicine cannot do. He can restore what's been stolen.
14:54
Speaker 1: Sooner than later, you're going to see the hand of
14:57
Speaker 1: God making things happen that you couldn't make happen, opening
15:01
Speaker 1: doors that no person can shut, turning situations around that
15:05
Speaker 1: look impossible. But it's easy to live with this forever mindset.
15:10
Speaker 1: It's never going to work out. or maybe years down
15:13
Speaker 1: the road, maybe one day, Joel, I'll get a good break,
15:17
Speaker 1: switch over to a soon mentality. Now, I know some
15:20
Speaker 1: things take time, but God promises us in this verse,
15:24
Speaker 1: soon the trouble will be over. He's about to do
15:28
Speaker 1: something out of a normal timeframe, something unusual sooner than
15:33
Speaker 1: you think. Well, what if I believe and this doesn't happen?
15:37
Speaker 1: What if you believe and it does happen? It probably
15:41
Speaker 1: won't happen if you've already accepted it's going to be
15:44
Speaker 1: a long time to get out of this trouble, a
15:47
Speaker 1: long time to get well, to meet the right person,
15:50
Speaker 1: to accomplish that dream. That's limiting what God will do.
15:54
Speaker 1: I'm asking you to believe for sooner than later. Even
15:59
Speaker 1: if it doesn't happen as soon as you like. Yes,
16:01
Speaker 1: we all have to wait, but I've made up my mind.
16:04
Speaker 1: I'm gonna live with the soon mentality. I'm gonna keep
16:07
Speaker 1: releasing my faith, reminding God what he promised, that this
16:11
Speaker 1: difficulty will soon be over. There are 42 chapters in
16:16
Speaker 1: the book of Job. All 42 talk about what he
16:20
Speaker 1: went through. Seems like this struggle with his whole life.
16:24
Speaker 1: But the last two verses of the book of Job
16:27
Speaker 1: are very significant. After describing the trouble, the heartache, the
16:32
Speaker 1: loss for 42 chapters, the last thing written says, after this,
16:38
Speaker 1: Job lived 140 years and saw his children and grandchildren
16:43
Speaker 1: for four generations. Then he died an old man having
16:48
Speaker 1: lived a long, good life. Job's struggle was approximately nine months,
16:54
Speaker 1: but after that struggle, he lived 140 good years, happy years,
17:00
Speaker 1: healthy years, years where he enjoyed his children, years where
17:04
Speaker 1: there was great joy and laughter in his house. God
17:08
Speaker 1: was showing us the trouble is temporary. The trouble is
17:12
Speaker 1: not going to last forever. You may be in a
17:16
Speaker 1: difficult time, but that's not how your story ends. That
17:20
Speaker 1: loss is not going to define you. That sickness is
17:24
Speaker 1: not going to ruin the rest of your life. That
17:26
Speaker 1: person that walked away, the bad break, the unfair situation
17:31
Speaker 1: is not going to stop your purpose. God has an
17:34
Speaker 1: after this for you. After the trouble, there's going to
17:39
Speaker 1: be great joy in your life. After the loss, after
17:43
Speaker 1: the sickness, after the legal battle, you're going to see
17:46
Speaker 1: new friendships, new opportunities, new growth. Don't be discouraged by
17:50
Speaker 1: the trouble. It's not stopping anything God has for you.
17:55
Speaker 1: God is storing up all the joy, all the good breaks,
17:59
Speaker 1: the favor, the resources that have been put on hold
18:03
Speaker 1: because of this temporary trouble. You're not losing anything. What
18:07
Speaker 1: belongs to you is still coming your way. Your latter
18:11
Speaker 1: days will be better than your former days. Your story
18:16
Speaker 1: doesn't end in Doesn't end in failure, injustice, sorrow. Those
18:22
Speaker 1: are temporary seasons. Your story ends in victory. God has
18:27
Speaker 1: already lined up an after this for you. He said
18:30
Speaker 1: what was meant for your harm, he's turning to your advantage.
18:34
Speaker 1: Even now, God is turning some things. He's turning the trouble.
18:38
Speaker 1: turning the sickness, turning the people that are against you.
18:42
Speaker 1: You're about to step in to an advantage, step into
18:45
Speaker 1: favor that God has already lined up for you. When
18:50
Speaker 1: we walked into that meeting, the CEO of the company
18:54
Speaker 1: had already changed his mind. God had already turned his heart.
18:58
Speaker 1: He was against us, but no person can stand against
19:02
Speaker 1: our God. No bad break, no sickness, no trouble. God
19:06
Speaker 1: controls the universe. He said, weeping may endure for a night,
19:12
Speaker 1: but joy is coming in the morning. You may be
19:15
Speaker 1: in a night season. Can I encourage you? It's temporary.
19:20
Speaker 1: Joy is on the way. God is going to turn
19:22
Speaker 1: your mourning into dancing your sorrow into joy What's holding
19:27
Speaker 1: you back is not going to last much longer soon.
19:30
Speaker 1: It will be over One time I was flying to
19:34
Speaker 1: India with my father. It was a 15-hour flight. Everything
19:38
Speaker 1: was going fine, cruising along very smoothly. But about 12
19:42
Speaker 1: hours in, the plane hit this turbulence and started bouncing
19:46
Speaker 1: around like a roller coaster, up and down. Everything started flying,
19:51
Speaker 1: laptops hitting the ceiling. Some of the flight attendants had
19:55
Speaker 1: gone up in the air, landed on top of other passengers.
19:59
Speaker 1: People were screaming, panicking. For about 10 minutes, it was chaos.
20:04
Speaker 1: You had to hold on for dear life. Eventually it
20:06
Speaker 1: all calmed down Thankfully, nobody was injured went back to
20:10
Speaker 1: smooth sailing the last several hours were as peaceful as
20:14
Speaker 1: can be This is how it is in life. We're
20:18
Speaker 1: going along fine Everyone is healthy. We're getting good breaks
20:23
Speaker 1: then we hit some turbulence an unexpected challenge a sickness
20:27
Speaker 1: a layoff a friend betrays you you didn't see it
20:30
Speaker 1: coming and It's easy to panic god what's happening? Can
20:35
Speaker 1: I encourage you? It's just a part of your 10
20:38
Speaker 1: minutes of turbulence It's not going to last it may
20:41
Speaker 1: be chaotic feel stressful, but it's going to calm down
20:46
Speaker 1: There's going to be an after this for you after
20:49
Speaker 1: the turbulence. You're going to come out just fine I've
20:53
Speaker 1: discovered we're all going to have about 10 minutes of
20:56
Speaker 1: turbulence Not at once but a minute here a minute
21:00
Speaker 1: there Our mind will tell us it's permanent. I'll never
21:04
Speaker 1: get through this difficulty. It's bumpier than I've ever felt.
21:08
Speaker 1: God is still in control. He's not only flying your plane,
21:12
Speaker 1: but he controls the weather. He speaks to storms and
21:16
Speaker 1: they calm down. A friend of mine recently lost his job.
21:20
Speaker 1: He'd been there for many years and wasn't about his performance.
21:24
Speaker 1: They just didn't have the funds to pay him. He
21:27
Speaker 1: was tempted to panic, be upset. I told him what
21:30
Speaker 1: i'm telling you. This is not how your story ends
21:34
Speaker 1: The trouble is going to pass and the rest of
21:37
Speaker 1: your flight is going to be smooth God has it
21:40
Speaker 1: already figured out. There's another position already lined up has
21:44
Speaker 1: your name on it If you'll stay in faith and
21:47
Speaker 1: keep being your best you're going to come in to
21:50
Speaker 1: your after this You'll say after the layoff. I got
21:54
Speaker 1: a better position After they walked away, I met someone better.
21:58
Speaker 1: After the sickness, I came out stronger. What's interesting is
22:03
Speaker 1: that 10 minutes of turbulence felt like 10 hours to me.
22:07
Speaker 1: I was sweating, holding on for dear life, praying the
22:11
Speaker 1: sinner's prayer 42 times. God, please forgive me. I'm about
22:14
Speaker 1: to come see you. I was afraid and stressed out.
22:19
Speaker 1: If I had known it was temporary, I would have
22:21
Speaker 1: enjoyed the ride. pay a lot of money to go
22:24
Speaker 1: to Disneyland to ride a ride like that. If I
22:27
Speaker 1: had known it wasn't going to last very long, if
22:31
Speaker 1: I had known everything was going to be all right,
22:34
Speaker 1: I would have stayed in peace. Said, Lord, thank you.
22:37
Speaker 1: I know this too shall pass. I know this temporary
22:40
Speaker 1: problem is not going to stop your plan for my life.
22:44
Speaker 1: I could have relaxed and saved myself a lot of
22:47
Speaker 1: heartache if I had only remembered the trouble was temporary.
22:52
Speaker 1: Maybe you're in part of your 10 minutes of turbulence now.
22:56
Speaker 1: It feels like it's going to be 10 years. You're worried,
23:00
Speaker 1: losing sleep, trying to figure it all out. Come back
23:03
Speaker 1: to a place of peace. It's not permanent. Things are
23:07
Speaker 1: going to work out. God is going to get you
23:10
Speaker 1: to your destiny. You may not see how. The winds
23:14
Speaker 1: are strong. The plane is bouncing around. God controls the winds.
23:19
Speaker 1: That cancer is not bigger than our God. That breakup
23:23
Speaker 1: didn't stop your purpose. The trouble at work is not
23:26
Speaker 1: going to last. God is behind the scenes right now
23:30
Speaker 1: working in your life. Your time is coming. It's going
23:33
Speaker 1: to happen sooner than you think. In the book of Genesis,
23:37
Speaker 1: God told Noah that there was going to be a
23:40
Speaker 1: great flood. He was to build an ark, a huge boat,
23:44
Speaker 1: take two of every kind of animal on it. While
23:47
Speaker 1: he was building, I'm sure people made fun of him. Thought,
23:51
Speaker 1: what's this crazy man doing? There's no water around here.
23:55
Speaker 1: At that time, it had never rained. The dew came
23:58
Speaker 1: up from the ground and watered the earth. You can
24:01
Speaker 1: imagine how odd that seemed. But the scripture says Noah
24:05
Speaker 1: did exactly what God asked him to do. He was obedient.
24:11
Speaker 1: The rain came for 40 days. The whole earth was flooded.
24:15
Speaker 1: Noah and his family were on the boat. Months and
24:18
Speaker 1: months went by. Noah didn't know he was going to
24:21
Speaker 1: be like that the rest of his life. He sent
24:24
Speaker 1: a bird out to see if the waters were receding,
24:27
Speaker 1: but the bird came back. It couldn't land. This happened
24:30
Speaker 1: again and again. It looked like this was permanent, but
24:34
Speaker 1: chapter eight says God remembered Noah. He sent a wind
24:39
Speaker 1: to blow across the waters and the floods begin to disappear.
24:44
Speaker 1: God remembers your faithfulness. He remembers your obedience. The times
24:49
Speaker 1: like Noah, you did the right thing when it was hard.
24:52
Speaker 1: You kept giving, serving, being good to people, not seeing
24:56
Speaker 1: anything change. Nothing was getting better. Don't worry, your time
25:01
Speaker 1: is coming. God sent a wind and the waters began
25:04
Speaker 1: to disappear. A year later, Noah and his family were
25:08
Speaker 1: able to get off the boat. I believe like with him,
25:12
Speaker 1: God is about to breathe on your life and problems
25:16
Speaker 1: that look permanent are about to disappear. That sickness you've
25:20
Speaker 1: been dealing with, the child you're so concerned about, the
25:24
Speaker 1: trouble at work that's hindering you, by faith, I can
25:28
Speaker 1: see the wind of God's spirit causing it to disappear.
25:32
Speaker 1: Addictions disappearing, depression disappearing, lack, not having enough, disappearing. This
25:39
Speaker 1: is a new day. God is breathing his favor, his blessing,
25:44
Speaker 1: his healing on your life right now. The next verse
25:48
Speaker 1: says the underground water sources ceased their gushing. The torrential
25:53
Speaker 1: rain stopped flowing. There are things that you can't see.
25:58
Speaker 1: They're underground, so to speak. They're about to cease in
26:01
Speaker 1: your life. God is going to cut off the source
26:04
Speaker 1: of what's limiting you, the source of what's holding you back.
26:08
Speaker 1: The sickness is about to cease. The addiction is about
26:11
Speaker 1: to cease. The trouble is about to cease. When those
26:15
Speaker 1: waters ceased, it took a few months before Noah and
26:19
Speaker 1: his family could come off the boat. You may not
26:22
Speaker 1: see anything happening yet, but that doesn't mean things haven't changed.
26:26
Speaker 1: It's just a matter of time before you see what
26:29
Speaker 1: God was up to. Now keep the right perspective. The
26:33
Speaker 1: trouble is temporary. It's not going to last as long
26:37
Speaker 1: as it looks. Live with this soon mentality. Not it's
26:40
Speaker 1: way off in the future. Soon things are going to
26:43
Speaker 1: change in my favor. If you'll do this, I believe
26:47
Speaker 1: and declare healing is coming. Freedom is coming. Breakthroughs are coming.
26:51
Speaker 1: Soon you're going to get well. Soon you're going to
26:54
Speaker 1: meet the right person. Soon that problem's going to turn around.
26:58
Speaker 1: Soon you're going to see God's favor in new ways.
27:01
Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, if you receive it, can you say
27:04
Speaker 1: amen today? I'd like to give you an opportunity to
27:09
Speaker 1: make Jesus the Lord of your life. Would you pray
27:12
Speaker 1: with me? Just say, Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins.
27:18
Speaker 1: Come into my heart. I make you my Lord and Savior.
27:23
Speaker 1: If you prayed that simple prayer, we believe you got
27:25
Speaker 1: born again. We'd love to send you some free information.
