- 0:38Speaker 1: On the way you vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, I'm be
- 0:44Speaker 1: listening to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sportshock Wayne Candy.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Good morning to you on this chilly Monday morning here
- 0:53Speaker 1: in Atlanta, Georgia. Hopefully you woke up today feeling good
- 0:59Speaker 1: about your team's chances in the NFL and if they're
- 1:04Speaker 1: headed towards the playoffs, or maybe you're just a college
- 1:07Speaker 1: person and one of your teams made the twelve team
- 1:12Speaker 1: college playoff first time system. It seems that we were
- 1:18Speaker 1: not satisfied with the four so we pushed to twelve,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and we went down the same path of arguing of
- 1:25Speaker 1: who and how and when and where teams should sit.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So it might not be the system, it might be
- 1:34Speaker 1: us We are greedy, selfish, indulgent, self centered people. We
- 1:40Speaker 1: only want to see our side prosper, So no matter
- 1:46Speaker 1: how we extended, someone has a complaint in that very interesting.
- 1:53Speaker 1: We went from four everybody got mad? Now should Alabama
- 1:57Speaker 1: be in? Should Miami be in? And we're right back
- 2:01Speaker 1: to really, we just added more teams and to have
- 2:05Speaker 1: the same conversation because that's what we are. We are human,
- 2:09Speaker 1: and as long as you add humans in anything, it
- 2:14Speaker 1: is bound to be dysfunctional, is bound to break down.
- 2:19Speaker 1: That's all that really humans know how to do. They
- 2:23Speaker 1: can only think for themselves and encourage and take care
- 2:27Speaker 1: of their own. But we put on a face like
- 2:30Speaker 1: we actually want other people to prosper. We really don't.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It is a crap mentality and it shows in things
- 2:38Speaker 1: like the bracket. We really thought the twelve teams was
- 2:41Speaker 1: going to satisfy the pundits, and it did nothing. The
- 2:46Speaker 1: conversation stopped being about anything other than who didn't get in?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Why is this team I've ranked higher than the other?
- 2:54Speaker 1: The strength of schedule? Isn't all these the conversation that
- 3:00Speaker 1: the twelve teams were supposed to water down? And we're
- 3:05Speaker 1: right back to it. It's just as amazing. And I'm
- 3:09Speaker 1: harping on it because from the time it started the
- 3:13Speaker 1: end of Saturday night until now, that's been the conversation,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and it's just I'm like, well, why did we move
- 3:20Speaker 1: to twelve? Of who We're going to do the same thing?
- 3:22Speaker 1: So the grass is not greener always on the other
- 3:25Speaker 1: side of the fence. But Oregon, Boise State, Arizona State.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Most of y'all don't even know what city Arizona State
- 3:35Speaker 1: cut plays out of. You're sitting there, Surprise, my man
- 3:38Speaker 1: Hines Wars is out there. He's the receiver coach. The
- 3:41Speaker 1: head coach is like thirty five days old. That's our
- 3:46Speaker 1: older head coach of Arizona statey. I don't know his name,
- 3:48Speaker 1: but I know his age. He's a little young guy
- 3:50Speaker 1: about thirty four years old. Oregon who's in the Big ten? Yeah,
- 3:56Speaker 1: I mean it's a lot of little things going on.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Boise State UGA with big victory over Texas here in
- 4:03Speaker 1: Atlanta and Atlanta, stand up, give yourself a round of applause.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I mean, you put on a real big sports weekend.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I don't know if you can do it any bigger.
- 4:13Speaker 1: When you have King James in the building on Friday
- 4:17Speaker 1: night playing the Hawks, serving them up with forty forty
- 4:20Speaker 1: five point triple double. You spent it back the next
- 4:24Speaker 1: day and you invite Texas here Matthew McConaughey to take
- 4:29Speaker 1: on Kirby Smart and his Bulldogs. And then yesterday last night,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you invite the joker, the Denver Nuggets come to town
- 4:39Speaker 1: and spank the Hawks. So you know, give yourself a
- 4:43Speaker 1: sports I mean, we're really becoming very dominant sports town
- 4:47Speaker 1: as far as activities. When people keep saying that the
- 4:51Speaker 1: SEC Championship might make its way to Texas, I don't
- 4:54Speaker 1: know why Texas is not the universe of the Southeast Conference.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I know, Jerry, we'll pay, but you're gonna get. Just
- 5:06Speaker 1: like rod Manford and the gold In that bat we
- 5:11Speaker 1: talked about, he was proposing where anyone can come hit
- 5:15Speaker 1: in the ninth inning and he had to shut that
- 5:18Speaker 1: down quick. Try to move the SEC Championship out of
- 5:21Speaker 1: Atlanta and make these teams drive from Athens and South
- 5:27Speaker 1: Carolina and not and go to town and go to Arlington.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Trust me, they love it right here. They can get
- 5:35Speaker 1: drunk and still make it back home to work the
- 5:38Speaker 1: next day. So trust me, they ain't got to catch
- 5:40Speaker 1: no plot flights, and that's what they love. But we
- 5:44Speaker 1: are here Monday Night football, the four and eight Bengals
- 5:50Speaker 1: and the five and seven Cowboys Monday Night Football. Now, sure,
- 5:59Speaker 1: twelve weeks ago this looks like a great matchup. I mean,
- 6:04Speaker 1: think about it. You've got Joe Burrow going against Dak
- 6:07Speaker 1: Prescott in the high flying CD LAMB, Jamar Chase, Michael Parson.
- 6:14Speaker 1: You got all these superstars and now basically other than them,
- 6:20Speaker 1: trying to make it animated tonight, which I was never
- 6:25Speaker 1: sitting home. I told you the thing I do with
- 6:28Speaker 1: certain ideas is I ponder them and think that that
- 6:34Speaker 1: ever crossed my mind. And I just was never watching
- 6:38Speaker 1: a football game, thinking, man, you know what I would
- 6:43Speaker 1: like to see this football game and animation. That's what
- 6:46Speaker 1: would make it better. Not somebody scoring some good touchdowns
- 6:51Speaker 1: or running for a lot of yards or making an interception.
- 6:54Speaker 1: What's missing is that Prescott being animated. I would enjoy
- 7:04Speaker 1: it more so. I don't do drugs, and I think
- 7:09Speaker 1: I miss some of what life offers because of my
- 7:17Speaker 1: lack of ill legal more dream like drugs. So let
- 7:26Speaker 1: me may always because people will, oh you do it. Yes,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I do, man, I do. They got a new six
- 7:32Speaker 1: hundred and fifty milligram Talano that to knock your socks off.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Hit you two of them, man, it take the edge
- 7:46Speaker 1: off of that arthritis. You can buy them at Sam's.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Tell them in the Big Family Red jar to a
- 7:58Speaker 1: day right when you wake up. But that's about as
- 8:03Speaker 1: far as I go. So some jokes I don't get,
- 8:07Speaker 1: some sound, some music, some jokes.
- 8:09Speaker 7: That you know.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I don't get everything because I think some things you
- 8:12Speaker 1: have to you know, when you're in Vegas in that
- 8:18Speaker 1: and they play that for like seven hours. If you're
- 8:21Speaker 1: not on ecstasy, you don't get it. You don't get it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You get annoyed. You lead next thing, you know, you
- 8:27Speaker 1: back at the slot machine. But I don't get why
- 8:32Speaker 1: I need my football animated. But for the commanche Greggs
- 8:38Speaker 1: of the world and Big Kenny when he rolls out
- 8:42Speaker 1: the Good Pack, he don't smoke the good every night
- 8:47Speaker 1: because he likes the function every he likes to function.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Some days we go to the Good Pack. He wants
- 8:54Speaker 1: to watch his game animated. So tonight you can watch
- 8:59Speaker 1: the regular broadcast of the Monday night game, or you
- 9:03Speaker 1: can flip over to and watch the cartoon version of
- 9:08Speaker 1: the Monday Night game either one of them. This game
- 9:12Speaker 1: is the go home game. One of these two teams
- 9:16Speaker 1: will basically be able to start their twenty twenty five
- 9:20Speaker 1: season after tonight, similar to the j. E. T. S
- 9:24Speaker 1: Chets Jets Jets after losing to the Dolphins yesterday. So
- 9:29Speaker 1: this is the go home this is the We're totally
- 9:32Speaker 1: out of it. There is no scenarios that puts me
- 9:36Speaker 1: back in it. If the Bengals go four to nine
- 9:40Speaker 1: after the night or the Cowboys go to five and eight.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So you are ready for that the good morning, sir. No,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I'm not ready for animate it.
- 9:52Speaker 8: You said that your lack of drug use makes you
- 9:55Speaker 8: miss the animation stuff, but it's not always good. You
- 9:58Speaker 8: be on that special pack and then turn and see
- 10:01Speaker 8: Dak animating, you start thinking, I gotta stop using this.
- 10:06Speaker 1: That looked like a whole cartoon on TV.
- 10:08Speaker 8: And I know I'm watching the NFL, so I will
- 10:10Speaker 8: put this stuff out and I'm just I'm gonna get
- 10:13Speaker 8: my life together. That's what I'm gonna do. When you
- 10:15Speaker 8: see animating. So and I want to say the sec
- 10:19Speaker 8: moving to Texas is a no for a lot of
- 10:24Speaker 8: different reasons, but people going to work the next day.
- 10:27Speaker 8: Nobody goes to work the next day after the SEC Championship.
- 10:31Speaker 8: You know that all the companies shut down in this
- 10:33Speaker 8: area and everybody's expecting a twelve pack layover.
- 10:39Speaker 1: No, they keep fouling reports, trying to get the day
- 10:43Speaker 1: after big games off off.
- 10:45Speaker 8: But they well, and they keep tabulating the loss productivity.
- 10:50Speaker 8: That's what they do is people will go to work,
- 10:53Speaker 8: but they don't do any work. They just get paid
- 10:55Speaker 8: that day. Similar to Trey Young last night.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Hey hey, hey, hey, and caught a straight we just
- 11:01Speaker 1: talk about football. Well, he was at the SEC Championship Saturday,
- 11:06Speaker 1: and then last night when Denmer came to town. He
- 11:09Speaker 1: was He had three points up until about five minutes
- 11:13Speaker 1: left in the game, and then he scored additional then
- 11:16Speaker 1: he put another eight ten up there, but the game
- 11:20Speaker 1: was already a blowout by then. So some people didn't
- 11:24Speaker 1: go to work after the game. But we'll be back.
- 11:28Speaker 1: We'll talk a little one. So tho y'all know one,
- 11:30Speaker 1: So everybody should know one. So though right if they
- 11:35Speaker 1: didn't now know him, now that's my point. Will they
- 11:42Speaker 1: will they We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show.
- 11:46Speaker 9: Right after this.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Don't Go Away or of the Sports Jock Show with

- 13:33Speaker 10: to you by the App Council.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Welcome mile in my shoes.
- 13:40Speaker 11: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 13:43Speaker 11: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 13:45Speaker 11: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes where
- 13:49Speaker 11: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 13:52Speaker 11: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 13:55Speaker 11: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 13:58Speaker 11: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:02Speaker 11: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 14:05Speaker 11: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 14:08Speaker 11: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 14:11Speaker 11: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 14:13Speaker 11: being that good role model as well, that model's good
- 14:17Speaker 11: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 14:20Speaker 11: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 14:23Speaker 11: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 14:26Speaker 11: and watching your kids be happy.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Never stop being a dad.
- 14:31Speaker 11: That's dedication.

- 14:35Speaker 12: Brought to you by the US Department of Health and
- 14:37Speaker 12: Human Services and the AD Council.
- 14:42Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gandy.
- 14:47Speaker 3: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA
- 14:50Speaker 3: dot com The sleep you deserve at a price you
- 14:52Speaker 3: can afford. No, no, Now it's time to present the
- 14:56Speaker 3: Jock of the Day. All the sports jocks just taking
- 14:59Speaker 3: it to a different level this.
- 15:01Speaker 6: Year where we highlight an accolete that has taken their
- 15:04Speaker 6: game to the next level.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Welcome back to this boy, Shock Shaw, I'm this boy
- 15:26Speaker 1: Shock Wayne again. Gee. We will get back to the
- 15:29Speaker 1: college football playoffs in the NFL in just the second.
- 15:34Speaker 1: The big news over the night it happened in Major
- 15:37Speaker 1: League Baseball. It is free agency and the New York
- 15:42Speaker 1: Mets decided to go and poach someone from the Yankees
- 15:47Speaker 1: and give him basically a lifetime deal, meaning his baseball
- 15:54Speaker 1: lifetime by the time this fifteen year contract is up
- 16:02Speaker 1: one Soto will retire most likely he's twenty six years old.
- 16:07Speaker 1: At that fifteen, that puts him at forty one. And
- 16:11Speaker 1: that's typically even for baseball. When guys walk into the sunset.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Remember most of these contracts they have clauses where you
- 16:20Speaker 1: can opt out, but for the most part, the Mets
- 16:23Speaker 1: play paid sticker price and baseball contracts are guaranteed, so
- 16:29Speaker 1: even when other teams pick them up, they pick up
- 16:32Speaker 1: the salary. And that's why I said, regardless of who
- 16:35Speaker 1: is signing the bottom of the check, it will most
- 16:39Speaker 1: likely be under the cloud of this deal. Now, as
- 16:43Speaker 1: I went to break big Kenny command you, Greg, I
- 16:46Speaker 1: referred to one solo. And it's not about the money.
- 16:54Speaker 1: As I always tell people, money in sports is just
- 16:56Speaker 1: a function of basically television. Here is a certain percentage
- 17:03Speaker 1: in any league that the players have to be paid
- 17:07Speaker 1: based on the television contract. That's really It's not about
- 17:11Speaker 1: the people buying Popcorin in the stands. For the most part,
- 17:16Speaker 1: it is based on television rights and a team's desperation
- 17:22Speaker 1: to add something to their team. But guys, in our time,
- 17:28Speaker 1: we're old enough to have enough years now of these
- 17:31Speaker 1: big contracts. Do they ever seem to pay the dividends
- 17:40Speaker 1: that the contract says, like when you're talking about a
- 17:46Speaker 1: fifteen year deal, like what would the number sports Jock
- 17:50Speaker 1: Wee Championships fifteen Listen.
- 17:57Speaker 8: I often say on this show that baseball is money laundering.
- 18:02Speaker 8: This deal made the FBI go we got them sons.
- 18:06Speaker 8: Now you see what I'm saying. We got them now,
- 18:09Speaker 8: We got them now, fifteen years, seven hundred some odd
- 18:12Speaker 8: million dollars, none of the money deferred.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Man, we got them.
- 18:16Speaker 8: Just get the warrants we rate tomorrow because none of
- 18:20Speaker 8: this make the only person I've seen get a super
- 18:23Speaker 8: huge deal and then the name follows the reporting of
- 18:28Speaker 8: the deal has been show ay, oh Tony.
- 18:32Speaker 1: They talked about.
- 18:32Speaker 8: Him and he went and did my man, he didn't
- 18:37Speaker 8: even seem to get that big of a deal. Was
- 18:39Speaker 8: with Atlanta, went to the Dodgers, Freddie Freeman, he went
- 18:46Speaker 8: and produced. But everybody else just gets the deal and
- 18:51Speaker 8: then they talk about the deal when they get up
- 18:53Speaker 8: to bat, and that's about it. You never you never
- 18:56Speaker 8: hear about them in the in the World Series. They're
- 18:59Speaker 8: never the division leaders. It's just they had enough money
- 19:03Speaker 8: to get.
- 19:03Speaker 1: A good player. And typically Greg why I'm saying this
- 19:07Speaker 1: with one solo now to the baseball world. People didn't
- 19:11Speaker 1: know it was baseball. They understand how great this guy
- 19:16Speaker 1: has been in his six seven year career, but most people,
- 19:22Speaker 1: even if they follow sport, that name doesn't jump off
- 19:25Speaker 1: the pay. He didn't sell out San Diego Padre Stadium,
- 19:29Speaker 1: did he?
- 19:30Speaker 13: No?
- 19:30Speaker 14: He?
- 19:31Speaker 1: So what do you? And that's where he did all
- 19:35Speaker 1: of that winning? Is that the value of the Nationals.
- 19:39Speaker 1: He was with the Nationals on their World Series team,
- 19:42Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying, Like, even with what's the
- 19:44Speaker 1: young man that went to the Yankees from the Marlins Stanton? Yeah,
- 19:49Speaker 1: John Carlstanton. He got a huge deal, yep. But in
- 19:54Speaker 1: that time, you don't feel like what they gave him
- 19:56Speaker 1: his really spilled over to what he's brought to them,
- 20:00Speaker 1: do you well?
- 20:01Speaker 15: I mean, I've seen a lot of Stanton and he's
- 20:06Speaker 15: had so many injuries. He can't run anymore. So it's
- 20:11Speaker 15: like it's a home runner bust and that may be
- 20:15Speaker 15: exciting for some people to see. But yeah, as far
- 20:19Speaker 15: as like the justifying the deal, like you said, it's
- 20:23Speaker 15: it's very we're outside of Otani.
- 20:26Speaker 1: You're not getting a lot of that not consistently for
- 20:31Speaker 1: for people that you don't already No, no, no, that's
- 20:36Speaker 1: what I mean. Maybe that's what I meant for people
- 20:40Speaker 1: you don't already know. You already knew Barry Buns when
- 20:46Speaker 1: they would give it to U. Even Mike Trout, you
- 20:50Speaker 1: knew Mike Trout. The name Won Soto. You're thinking, I've
- 20:54Speaker 1: heard it, but I've never heard it in this kind
- 20:57Speaker 1: of manner. I've just heard it as being uh good
- 21:01Speaker 1: baseball player. Right, this kind of contract makes you feel
- 21:06Speaker 1: like you've you've missed something like, well, I must, I must.
- 21:10Speaker 15: Be like if people like don't pay attention to the
- 21:14Speaker 15: analytics and the other stats like war and uh other
- 21:22Speaker 15: stuff that seems to be made up, then that's where
- 21:25Speaker 15: his value is is in the numbers outside of average.
- 21:30Speaker 8: As a baseball fan, should I have to look into
- 21:32Speaker 8: the analytics to see where you make a well team?
- 21:36Speaker 1: You got to look at your war? I don't even
- 21:38Speaker 1: know what.
- 21:39Speaker 15: Because you're you're not getting the Baseball's had the issue
- 21:43Speaker 15: for a lot of years where they're not necessarily promoting
- 21:46Speaker 15: these star players. Like people who are inside baseball know
- 21:51Speaker 15: that Juan Soto is a superstar, but outside of.
- 21:54Speaker 1: That who knows that, And that's what I'm saying in
- 21:57Speaker 1: a world the sustainability of the NFL and Major League
- 22:05Speaker 1: Baseball have always centered around they sell you teams, they
- 22:11Speaker 1: don't sell you superstars. So when you run off you
- 22:16Speaker 1: go to see the Braids play a certain team. You
- 22:20Speaker 1: don't care who's on the other team. Right The excitement
- 22:25Speaker 1: is that the Braves is playing a certain right right now.
- 22:30Speaker 1: We never had to with football. You wanted to see
- 22:33Speaker 1: the Steelers play the Ravens. It doesn't really matter who's
- 22:38Speaker 1: been You think a gunshy. They used to have that.
- 22:42Speaker 8: The dudes that Again, their impact was because they put
- 22:46Speaker 8: the stick on the ball.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Mark Maguire's but they but they were failing at as
- 22:52Speaker 1: marketing organization when they was just marketing player. The brand
- 22:59Speaker 1: was struggling, yes, because people were only coming to see
- 23:03Speaker 1: that that player. That's why the NBA had to put
- 23:07Speaker 1: all these rules in in about playing because people don't
- 23:11Speaker 1: like that. If I paid his market ticket to see Lebron,
- 23:15Speaker 1: Lebron need to be on the court. Lebron need to
- 23:17Speaker 1: come pick me up before we go get on them.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But the NFL doesn't offer you that. They don't offer
- 23:23Speaker 1: you know kind of superstar discount a riot service. I
- 23:26Speaker 1: tell you the Saints of playing the Falcons. Come watch,
- 23:31Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after.
- 23:33Speaker 13: This Don't Go Away board of the Sports John Hill
- 23:48Speaker 13: with Wayne Dandy Yes coming up next.
- 23:52Speaker 16: Daisy was abandoned by her family and placed in foster
- 23:56Speaker 16: care at fifteen years old. Her life was full of uncertainty.
- 24:01Speaker 16: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 24:06Speaker 17: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 24:09Speaker 17: I had this hole in my heart and I never
- 24:11Speaker 17: knew what I needed to patch that hole. But when
- 24:14Speaker 17: my mom asked to adopt me, that hole was closed.
- 24:17Speaker 17: It feels so normal now to say that I'm a
- 24:19Speaker 17: part of this family. I am surrounded by love, I
- 24:22Speaker 17: feel safe, and that hole inside of me is gone.
- 24:26Speaker 3: I am whole.
- 24:28Speaker 17: I'm finally enough, just as I am.

- 26:26Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy.
- 26:33Speaker 9: In the Red Zone Fund, back to the sport Shock Show.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I'm the Sport Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to you
- 27:13Speaker 1: out there this thing land. We just left off talking
- 27:16Speaker 1: about a huge deal the Mets, who always seem to
- 27:21Speaker 1: be trying to reinvent themselves. They seem to be one
- 27:27Speaker 1: of those teams that always will roll the dice, try
- 27:33Speaker 1: to grab some player, but it seems to be fizzling
- 27:39Speaker 1: in New York. Whoever they seem to grab it just
- 27:42Speaker 1: doesn't really turn the corner. You almost forget the Mets
- 27:48Speaker 1: are out there. For some reason. I don't know why
- 27:52Speaker 1: that has happened. Maybe it's because they sandwiched in between
- 27:54Speaker 1: the Yankees and the Red Sox up there in that
- 27:57Speaker 1: kind of corridor.
- 27:59Speaker 19: Of this.
- 28:03Speaker 8: That East Coast corridor strong as far as and then
- 28:08Speaker 8: outside of baseball, all of the other sports, even if
- 28:12Speaker 8: they're not producing, they draw a lot of media attention.
- 28:15Speaker 8: So the Jets are in that area, they're not doing
- 28:19Speaker 8: really well, but anybody is talking about is how horrible
- 28:22Speaker 8: they are. And so you might be having a credible
- 28:26Speaker 8: season over there with the Mets, but nobody's really paying
- 28:30Speaker 8: attention because there isn't a juicy story, if that makes sense.
- 28:35Speaker 1: So you know, maybe that's what in their own town,
- 28:39Speaker 1: they're about six on the list of what I'm gonna
- 28:44Speaker 1: do with my dollar. I mean, unless you just a
- 28:47Speaker 1: pure Mets fan. Between the Yankees, the Knicks, the Giants,
- 28:52Speaker 1: the Jets, the Rangers, something like that, you start finding
- 28:58Speaker 1: the Mets uh to a New York audience unless you're
- 29:01Speaker 1: a Mets fan. Yeah, they're not like in that top
- 29:05Speaker 1: two or three franchises up there as far as popularity.
- 29:11Speaker 1: And that's why I said, they get kind of sandwiched
- 29:12Speaker 1: in between three or four in that region of teams
- 29:16Speaker 1: that have done a lot of winning recently, but giving
- 29:19Speaker 1: a huge deal. And it'll be interesting as hopefully the
- 29:22Speaker 1: three of us get to live as long as this
- 29:24Speaker 1: contract even see, because we've seen the end of a
- 29:28Speaker 1: Rod and Albert pooh hoos, and what's what was the
- 29:34Speaker 1: guy that they continue to pay every year it gets
- 29:38Speaker 1: like two million those long contracts we've seen where I
- 29:43Speaker 1: was twenty six and now I'm thirty six, But I'm
- 29:47Speaker 1: still on your books for another five years or now.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Like you said, all I am is either home run
- 29:56Speaker 1: or strikeout base. I don't make no no game winning catches,
- 30:02Speaker 1: no more those kind of things. I'm just up here
- 30:06Speaker 1: as more like a statue and with the.
- 30:08Speaker 8: A rides into Bobby Banias like I think Bobby Bania
- 30:11Speaker 8: is still getting paid like he's been another seven eight years.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Well, his was more of a the third thing where
- 30:19Speaker 1: he calculated almost like interest to make sure he didn't
- 30:24Speaker 1: go completely broke.
- 30:26Speaker 20: Uh.
- 30:26Speaker 1: He kind of paste it out almost like you winning
- 30:29Speaker 1: a lottery, which is what you're doing. He kind of
- 30:33Speaker 1: evenly discributed. He rolled the dice as far as he
- 30:36Speaker 1: would live long enough to collect the checks in the future.
- 30:40Speaker 1: But one so though, we will see how this works.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I just haven't really seen the impact of a lot
- 30:46Speaker 1: of these huge contracts instantly, yes, here and there, but
- 30:52Speaker 1: you know, show he went across the city too. But
- 30:56Speaker 1: I think show he went to win. I don't know.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I have to look at the Mets roster. You know,
- 31:02Speaker 1: you could say that show he went for both purposes.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Y'all give me this big money, but y'all have y'all
- 31:09Speaker 1: just meet me. Y'all gonna plug me into the rest
- 31:12Speaker 1: of these guys, and we're gonna win the World Series.
- 31:14Speaker 12: Right.
- 31:14Speaker 15: That's the indestry they hear is that they're getting Soto
- 31:18Speaker 15: in his prime. But with other free agents they tried
- 31:22Speaker 15: to get it was they were past their prime. They
- 31:25Speaker 15: got Pedro and he's already thirty eight, Verlander already in
- 31:30Speaker 15: his forties. So them getting someone in their prime at
- 31:33Speaker 15: least that that's a win for them now. And they
- 31:36Speaker 15: made they made the League Championship Series, so they feel
- 31:40Speaker 15: like they're they're that close.
- 31:42Speaker 8: Our online listeners, Uncle Charlie ads, could it be the
- 31:45Speaker 8: big time billionaire on the other side of town trying
- 31:47Speaker 8: to poke a finger at their crosstown rivals. Could it
- 31:50Speaker 8: just be one of those almost like a Jerry Jones thing.
- 31:53Speaker 8: I got the money and uh top that New York Yankees,
- 31:58Speaker 8: you know what I mean? Because again, a lot of
- 32:01Speaker 8: the Mets acquisitions don't seem like they're going to pay
- 32:05Speaker 8: off right now. And then Jared Lloyd says, they all rhyme. Mets, Jets,
- 32:11Speaker 8: and Nets are all the little brothers in the market
- 32:14Speaker 8: of their related sports.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you will be. There's sometimes Georgia Tech will always
- 32:21Speaker 1: be the little brother to Georgia. They will win here
- 32:24Speaker 1: and there. Auburn will always be the little brother to Alabama.
- 32:27Speaker 1: We win here and there. You can where the person
- 32:31Speaker 1: in the state or the person in the city that
- 32:33Speaker 1: you're in. As the Clippers will always be the little
- 32:37Speaker 1: brother to the Lakers. You can have some success, you
- 32:40Speaker 1: still need to go out and win a championship, but
- 32:43Speaker 1: it will take you so long to overtake none of
- 32:46Speaker 1: us will see it. It would take the Clippers thirty
- 32:50Speaker 1: years of dominance to get back in the game, right
- 32:53Speaker 1: right with the Lakers that champion. Yeah, they got to
- 32:57Speaker 1: just keep that. They got to just because the Lakers
- 32:59Speaker 1: already up like what twenty two, twenty three championships or something,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and the Clippers have none. So it would just be
- 33:07Speaker 1: one of those kind of situations where you can be
- 33:11Speaker 1: born into that. I'm just going to be the little brother.
- 33:16Speaker 1: They're always going to go see the Knicks before the Nets,
- 33:22Speaker 1: the Giants before the Jets. It's not the franchises, it's
- 33:26Speaker 1: just how it how it panned out sometimes. But Jared
- 33:31Speaker 1: makes a great point right there there always and you know,
- 33:33Speaker 1: us at Auburn, we're just trying to hopefully get a
- 33:35Speaker 1: Natty once every eight years. You know, Alabama got them.
- 33:42Speaker 1: They want to win like four in a row.
- 33:44Speaker 8: We're just trying to get one every yeah, every couple
- 33:49Speaker 8: of recruiting classes.
- 33:51Speaker 1: So that's how I go. But football yesterday in the NFL,
- 33:55Speaker 1: exciting last night, the Chiefs once again with the lucky Rabbits.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Are you a superstitious person? Yeah, I believe in the
- 34:03Speaker 1: four leaf clover, the rabbit foot. Throw some salt over
- 34:08Speaker 1: your shoulder.
- 34:10Speaker 8: Only two things I'm superstitious about is get a good
- 34:14Speaker 8: attorney and a solid prenuptial agreement.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Them the only two things that if you don't have.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I don't know if those are superstitions. Those just sounds
- 34:22Speaker 1: like good stuff.
- 34:25Speaker 8: Yeah, that just sounds like I'm just even if you
- 34:28Speaker 8: don't need it, I'm saying, even if you ain't in
- 34:30Speaker 8: a relationship, get a prenuption.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I'm talking to keep it in your breath. Superstitions like
- 34:35Speaker 1: don't walk between the two poles, or don't split a
- 34:38Speaker 1: pole or those kind of things. I'm not superstitious. Knock
- 34:43Speaker 1: on wood, that's a superstition, right, I don't. I don't
- 34:47Speaker 1: do those things, but I understand them, and I don't. Like, Well, anybody,
- 34:52Speaker 1: don't online listeners do out the show if you can
- 34:54Speaker 1: think of don't google to send me if you can
- 35:00Speaker 1: thinking one that your grandparents or someone in the you know,
- 35:02Speaker 1: oh yeah, throw a picture of please hit us up.
- 35:08Speaker 1: But you know, when you ask people, that's what I mean.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You know, when you ask people something and then they
- 35:12Speaker 1: want to I could sit here and google what superstitions
- 35:15Speaker 1: I'm talking about things that readily in your head that
- 35:19Speaker 1: even because some of those things I just mentioned I
- 35:21Speaker 1: do still today and I don't even believe in them,
- 35:24Speaker 1: but still this is in my mind. Right, don't press them.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Don't put that hat, don't put your purse on the floor,
- 35:30Speaker 1: don't put your hat on the table.
- 35:32Speaker 8: I was going to ask, are there any of them
- 35:34Speaker 8: that you've ever thought? Man, that's kind of weird, Like
- 35:37Speaker 8: where did that come? Like don't put your purse on
- 35:39Speaker 8: the floor. I've always thought that that was where else
- 35:44Speaker 8: somebody's supposed to you know, you know, hanging on a hook,
- 35:46Speaker 8: and don't put it on a table.
- 35:48Speaker 1: But there are women who were what are you doing
- 35:52Speaker 1: with I always thought the floor thing for purses was
- 35:57Speaker 1: the floor might be dirty, and then the woman picks
- 36:00Speaker 1: the purse up and then she puts it in her lap,
- 36:02Speaker 1: and how you have that dirt right on, you know, right?
- 36:07Speaker 8: The superstitious part I heard it was because they feared
- 36:10Speaker 8: that if they put their person on leg they might
- 36:13Speaker 8: go broke. It'll drain their purse of the power to
- 36:15Speaker 8: hold money, which is you know, when you think about it,
- 36:19Speaker 8: it sounded like something connected to drugs.
- 36:21Speaker 1: But it ain't. You know what I'm saying, it's not.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Come on, man, you put your with the power of Narnia,
- 36:28Speaker 1: gonna take the money out. But the Chiefs nineteen the
- 36:31Speaker 1: charge of seventeen and a good game last night with
- 36:34Speaker 1: the Chiefs with the rabbit's foot kicked the field goal
- 36:38Speaker 1: and the end with right the ball hit the gold
- 36:41Speaker 1: post and bounced in, and it just became one of
- 36:45Speaker 1: those games that the Chiefs, this is how they They've
- 36:47Speaker 1: been winning this way for a while. We got so
- 36:51Speaker 1: enamored with their devastating offense that some of us have forgotten.
- 36:57Speaker 1: They haven't had that offense in like.
- 36:59Speaker 8: Three Do you think that they are coming just went
- 37:02Speaker 8: out and you could do with it. Do you think
- 37:05Speaker 8: that in ten years we'll look back and people will
- 37:08Speaker 8: compile a group of like a documentary about the Chiefs, Like, man,
- 37:13Speaker 8: I can't believe they won this many games that way,
- 37:16Speaker 8: you know what I mean? Like last night that like
- 37:18Speaker 8: you said, that lucky rabbit's foot thing, and they keep
- 37:22Speaker 8: on having the ugly whoa.
- 37:25Speaker 1: At least we got to win wins a lot this
- 37:27Speaker 1: week season. They just look like the Andy Reid in
- 37:32Speaker 1: Philly team. Now, those teams that he had up there
- 37:35Speaker 1: in Philadelphia did all that winning. It was more of
- 37:40Speaker 1: were gonna have the ball last, and that's all were
- 37:42Speaker 1: trying to do. That's all. We're doing the same scenario
- 37:46Speaker 1: as last night. It's Europe seventeen sixteen, and we got
- 37:50Speaker 1: the ball last and we're gonna get sick. We're gonna
- 37:53Speaker 1: get thirty five yards and kicking field goal. And that
- 37:57Speaker 1: what he was doing in Philly with Donovan mcnah the
- 38:00Speaker 1: little move but it worked and run and then throw
- 38:03Speaker 1: it down real quick to someone and it worked. It always. Well,
- 38:07Speaker 1: that's why I was when I was watching the game,
- 38:09Speaker 1: I was thinking, man, it's been about really about three
- 38:12Speaker 1: years since that Chiefs forty two point a game offense.
- 38:17Speaker 1: They have been winning and winning super Bowls with this
- 38:21Speaker 1: just win mentality mindset. That's funny, isn't it. You can
- 38:26Speaker 1: win a championship if you just go win.
- 38:30Speaker 8: Well, maybe they didn't really winning is a lot of
- 38:35Speaker 8: people wouldn't think you win if you.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Hit an extra point off the upright and then it
- 38:41Speaker 1: goes through. But hey, it's in the w nineteen seventeen.
- 38:45Speaker 1: They will still count three points.
- 38:47Speaker 8: And as far as some people don't know how to
- 38:50Speaker 8: put superstitions together, Jared said, for the heacups, you put
- 38:53Speaker 8: a piece of paper bag on your forehead like that
- 38:57Speaker 8: ain't right.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I've never heard that.
- 39:00Speaker 8: And then he said, women don't buy sneakers from me
- 39:02Speaker 8: and they'll walk out your life. I've heard of that.
- 39:03Speaker 8: Put a piece of paper bag on. Somebody was just
- 39:05Speaker 8: messing when it was a kid. They just experiment with this.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Right after this, what different types of people can hear
- 39:17Speaker 1: with the old run So you want to.
- 39:27Speaker 13: John't bow awayne or of the Sports John Show with
- 39:30Speaker 13: Wayne Dandidias coming up next.

- 41:03Speaker 1: Hi.
- 41:03Speaker 22: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generational race car driver, and
- 41:06Speaker 22: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 41:08Speaker 22: fast as possible. My Grandpa Lou is the reason why
- 41:10Speaker 22: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 41:12Speaker 22: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 41:14Speaker 22: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 41:17Speaker 22: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 41:19Speaker 22: journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of my
- 41:21Speaker 22: grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 41:24Speaker 22: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with
- 41:27Speaker 22: their memory, or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about
- 41:30Speaker 22: Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you notice something,
- 41:33Speaker 22: have a conversation with your love one, encourage them to

- 42:29Speaker 23: log on so you can see a sports jaint. I'll
- 42:33Speaker 23: sing even Big Canny went back to this boy sock shop,
- 42:38Speaker 23: this boy suck, Wayne Gandy. Monday night football is Cincinnati
- 42:44Speaker 23: and Dallas. As I said, this should seal someone's fate tonight.
- 42:49Speaker 23: I haven't looked up the records completely, but I do
- 42:52Speaker 23: know it's.
- 42:53Speaker 1: About five teams in the AFC that already have won
- 42:58Speaker 1: like ten games. So if the Bengals lose again tonight,
- 43:03Speaker 1: you can say goodbye to them. And Dallas is kind
- 43:06Speaker 1: of in that same boat in the division with the
- 43:10Speaker 1: Eagles and in the division with the Commanders. So you're
- 43:14Speaker 1: not going to win the division. So most likely you're
- 43:17Speaker 1: not going to especially if you lose to Night, have
- 43:20Speaker 1: any chance. Both teams in my opinion, would have to
- 43:22Speaker 1: win out and get some help. So if you lose
- 43:25Speaker 1: to Night in this animated game, that makes me feel
- 43:29Speaker 1: like I need to catch up on Vampire Diaries, just
- 43:34Speaker 1: any series.
- 43:36Speaker 8: Now, is this going to be like on a different network.
- 43:39Speaker 8: It's not going to be on the main broadcast network,
- 43:41Speaker 8: is it. It's going to be on ESPN plus ESPNUS.
- 43:46Speaker 8: Now is this that's the animated version right now? The
- 43:49Speaker 8: animated version? And I don't know if this is beside
- 43:52Speaker 8: the point, but is this an animated version crafted by
- 43:56Speaker 8: actual animators or is this an AI? No, it's Disney.
- 44:00Speaker 8: You know Disney owns ABC. Okay, so ESPN so to
- 44:04Speaker 8: give their animators some work. Look, we're gonna do y'all
- 44:08Speaker 8: sitting around not really doing what was the It's the Simpsons. Oh,
- 44:13Speaker 8: they're doing it in the Simpsons in their in that style.
- 44:18Speaker 8: Gotta come up with content, big Kenny.
- 44:21Speaker 1: They did this with toy story last year.
- 44:26Speaker 8: And what I'm saying when I used to say stuff
- 44:28Speaker 8: like that in school, people used to say, can't You're
- 44:31Speaker 8: not gonna go nowhere? It be successful saying stuff like that,
- 44:34Speaker 8: But they don't have drugs, right see. And that's what
- 44:37Speaker 8: I'm saying. I used to trying to tell you ain't
- 44:38Speaker 8: got visions well for people who.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Was telling you that didn't know you was gonna live
- 44:42Speaker 1: long enough that the people who are doing drugs would
- 44:46Speaker 1: be be in charge, right because you couldn't imagine that
- 44:50Speaker 1: the people that those people would be. Yeah, they would
- 44:54Speaker 1: thirty years ago think that Donald Trump, the billionaire that's
- 44:59Speaker 1: grabbing them and the pr would be the president right
- 45:02Speaker 1: now now. I wouldn't have thought that. You wouldn't have
- 45:05Speaker 1: thought that. And I was actually out here raising kids.
- 45:10Speaker 8: There's a whole onunch stuff like, man, they put you
- 45:11Speaker 8: in charge of children, like somebody said that to me once, Like, man.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Somebody left you alone with a kid, like that's amazing. Uh.
- 45:19Speaker 1: One other note before we move on from that Chiefs game.
- 45:22Speaker 1: I was reading an article about Travis Kelcey. Uh, they're
- 45:25Speaker 1: supposed to be making a Broadway play about him and
- 45:30Speaker 1: Taylor Swift's romance putting together, and it's gonna tour the
- 45:36Speaker 1: country at some point Broadway play. Is that confirmed? Is
- 45:41Speaker 1: that confirmed? I can't say.
- 45:44Speaker 15: I've only seen the Hallmark movie loosely based on their
- 45:49Speaker 15: relationship so far.
- 45:51Speaker 8: And I guess I would ask, of all of the
- 45:53Speaker 8: relationships that we've seen, the Mark Anthony and Cleopatra, of
- 45:58Speaker 8: the Amson and Delilah's, we've seen some outrageous love stories,
- 46:04Speaker 8: what is it about this one that draws people so
- 46:08Speaker 8: deeply into it that you would make a Broadway play
- 46:11Speaker 8: about it?
- 46:12Speaker 3: Well?
- 46:12Speaker 1: Yeah, the I think the story of the American Darling
- 46:18Speaker 1: always sell okay, and that's taking and that's Taylor Swift.
- 46:23Speaker 1: She is, at the moment the American Darling, which you
- 46:27Speaker 1: know in her credit, this is really her second time
- 46:30Speaker 1: holding this position. When she first came out, she was
- 46:34Speaker 1: seen as Americans Darling and then someone else came in.
- 46:37Speaker 1: I think with her, it's like certain characters in movies,
- 46:42Speaker 1: people want those two people to actually date outside of
- 46:46Speaker 1: the movie. What was the vampire? What was that Twilight?
- 46:52Speaker 1: Angelina and Miss Smith? Because outside and I think with
- 46:59Speaker 1: Taylor Swift. If you still the American pop star, you
- 47:03Speaker 1: know almost this kind of virgin scenario meets the kind.
- 47:10Speaker 8: Of rock star super Bowl champion. He not just a
- 47:14Speaker 8: bad boy, he's a super Bowl bad boy champion.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just missing the leather vests. Yeah. And you
- 47:21Speaker 1: already got the rude brother right right, and which you
- 47:23Speaker 1: don't know what's going on. But when he's with her,
- 47:26Speaker 1: he puts on a turtleneck and and and the blazer
- 47:31Speaker 1: and his brother covers his stomach. So yeah, I could
- 47:34Speaker 1: see it and think and when you think of our times,
- 47:36Speaker 1: how much content movies are made so quickly just off
- 47:40Speaker 1: of something happening today. An incident can happen today, and
- 47:44Speaker 1: they make a movie that be out in March about it.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Incident will still be unpresolved. We don't know how it's
- 47:50Speaker 1: gonna turn out. The healthcare man being assassinated. Yeah, it'll
- 47:54Speaker 1: be a movie, could easily be a movie by May. Yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 1: or at least at least inspired a lot order episode.
- 48:01Speaker 1: That's what that's what, that's what I mean. Get it
- 48:03Speaker 1: it hit the media and TV show like man, didn't
- 48:07Speaker 1: this happened in real life? You'll be looking at it
- 48:09Speaker 1: like and it starts reflecting your minds things that has happened.
- 48:13Speaker 8: So and I just saw a preview of what the
- 48:16Speaker 8: animation will look like tonight for the game, and it's
- 48:19Speaker 8: worse than I imagine.
- 48:20Speaker 1: It's gonna be horrible. Don't watch it, No, don't you
- 48:25Speaker 1: watch it on that good see, because I've even forgot
- 48:28Speaker 1: like is having a watch party? This is Cowboys? This
- 48:32Speaker 1: is Cowboys already.
- 48:35Speaker 8: Dak Prescott looks a lot like Lisa Simpson.
- 48:40Speaker 1: That's just weird to me. Are they gonna call the bar? Though, Moss?
- 48:48Speaker 1: They got to, They've got to. Episode's gotta be a
- 48:55Speaker 1: go call the bar.
- 48:57Speaker 8: Somebody has gotta be because those are the main characters
- 49:00Speaker 8: in the Simpsons.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Well, guys, I'm telling you, if they make a play
- 49:04Speaker 1: and it comes to Atlanta, I'll try to get us
- 49:07Speaker 1: tickets to it. To Taylor Swift Travis Kelsey, I wonder
- 49:11Speaker 1: what they're gonna call it now?
- 49:13Speaker 8: I have a question, NT if we go to a
- 49:16Speaker 8: Taylor Swift Travis Kelsey Broadway play down at the Fox,
- 49:20Speaker 8: Down at the Fox, do we have to act like
- 49:22Speaker 8: we had actual play? Can we here watching Travis Kelcey,
- 49:28Speaker 8: d Taylor Swift and bring a little football with ers
- 49:31Speaker 8: like kid Sir, Kid sir?
- 49:33Speaker 1: You know, can we do stuff like that? Are we
- 49:35Speaker 1: gonna Travis Kelsey's mama. We'll be back show right after
- 49:42Speaker 1: That's normal. Way, don't go away. Bard of the Sports
- 49:59Speaker 1: Josh with Wayne Dan videos coming up next. Hurting the game.

- 53:11Speaker 1: just one last note about the Taylor Swift. You got
- 53:13Speaker 1: to realize our society functions on fame. Everything is about fame.
- 53:18Speaker 1: There's nothing that we really do that is not about fame. Fame.
- 53:24Speaker 1: There's no substance. It doesn't have to have substance, it
- 53:26Speaker 1: doesn't have to have subsence. You're looking at Yeah, you're
- 53:29Speaker 1: going a step further when that's not the Mike Tyson,
- 53:32Speaker 1: Jake Paul fights soul because of fame, because of fame.
- 53:36Speaker 1: It didn't need any boxing. It's the spectacle. The spectacle
- 53:40Speaker 1: is all we are about. We're not even really about
- 53:44Speaker 1: whether the game turned out to be great. We're more
- 53:48Speaker 1: about who's at the game environment where it is. We
- 53:53Speaker 1: don't really care about the outcome of it. That's just
- 53:58Speaker 1: if it ends up being great, then okay. But was
- 54:02Speaker 1: beyond say there though? Next two Matthew McConaughey, Right, it's
- 54:09Speaker 1: interesting you said that. At the top of the.
- 54:13Speaker 8: Hour, you spoke about the twelve game playoff system, and
- 54:17Speaker 8: in this discussion over the weekend, was the first time
- 54:20Speaker 8: I ever heard someone call these athletic programs brands, and
- 54:27Speaker 8: they're concerned about the excite the entertainment factor is what
- 54:32Speaker 8: they call it, and how these brands will And we
- 54:36Speaker 8: could have just been doing that with the full teams.
- 54:38Speaker 8: If that's what we after, brands, Well, that's yeah, that's
- 54:42Speaker 8: why I'm saying.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Nobody is hearing me, and I sometimes I understand because
- 54:48Speaker 1: it sounds so far fetched. But from when I was
- 54:52Speaker 1: in college to now, what's going on now is far fetched. SMU,
- 54:57Speaker 1: who's back in the college football p I mean picture
- 55:01Speaker 1: now they're in the playoffs. Well, SMU was blacklisted. They
- 55:07Speaker 1: gave the death penalty after Eric Dickerson and Craig James,
- 55:12Speaker 1: I think, and those guys left there. They called him
- 55:14Speaker 1: the Pony Express. It was giving out so much obvious
- 55:18Speaker 1: money that they got rid of the program. And that
- 55:24Speaker 1: was what forty years ago, forty five years ago, right
- 55:28Speaker 1: in that window of time that they totally gave them
- 55:32Speaker 1: the death penalty. I think they're the only football team
- 55:35Speaker 1: in college that was ever given that. Yes, and now
- 55:39Speaker 1: they have two years were two years and now there's
- 55:43Speaker 1: that arrived to a point where what they were doing
- 55:47Speaker 1: then is now actually what you do. Everybody giving away money.
- 55:51Speaker 1: So when I take this chance, you're gonna get people
- 55:55Speaker 1: buying these teams. These teams are just going to become
- 55:59Speaker 1: pro basically teams. You're looking at the next wave of it.
- 56:06Speaker 1: This under the umbrella. It'll be under the umbrella of
- 56:11Speaker 1: a program's name. But when you start hearing that Stanford
- 56:16Speaker 1: has gone and hired Andrew luck to be the GM,
- 56:21Speaker 1: I didn't say the athletic director. So now you have
- 56:25Speaker 1: to have a GM to run your college team, then
- 56:32Speaker 1: that's what you have. You have businesses, and that's what
- 56:35Speaker 1: these brands are. They're sponsored by brands Dion Sanders, you know,
- 56:42Speaker 1: and he's saying that his sons are playing in this
- 56:45Speaker 1: Alamo Bowl at the end of the month. Travis under, well,
- 56:50Speaker 1: what is in it? They have to be getting something
- 56:54Speaker 1: from it, from playing in it. It's not they want
- 56:57Speaker 1: to play themselves, school the three guys.
- 57:02Speaker 15: They must be getting something to appear or yeah, so
- 57:06Speaker 15: they'll do something kind of advertising, because.
- 57:09Speaker 1: If not, why would I go playing Alamobile? Do you
- 57:13Speaker 1: think for what reason?
- 57:15Speaker 8: What do you think it's contractual where if we do
- 57:18Speaker 8: a deal with this brand, every game that you are
- 57:21Speaker 8: available for you must at least get on the great
- 57:25Speaker 8: field right with that stuff on.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I need you to have that on when you run.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Now you might not just one but the one snap,
- 57:32Speaker 1: but you have to be available. So Alamobile deceimitar to
- 57:36Speaker 1: twenty eighth, and I know Dion was talking to head
- 57:39Speaker 1: coach of the Raid. It's be interesting to see if
- 57:42Speaker 1: Antonio Pierce KEEPS's job this offseason. The Raiders are what
- 57:48Speaker 1: two and eleven, yes, set their record two and eleven.
- 57:52Speaker 1: They lost yesterday to the Bucks twenty eight thirteen. Dion
- 57:57Speaker 1: wants the Raiders to drive both of us, which is
- 58:01Speaker 1: not far fetched. If Shader Sanders is around. When the
- 58:05Speaker 1: l Raiders picked, I'm quite sure a lot of people
- 58:08Speaker 1: will feel like that's the pick to go with. Get
- 58:10Speaker 1: him a quarterback, and Shiloh somewhere in the fourth round
- 58:17Speaker 1: easily could be picked up with nobody screaming nepotism or
- 58:22Speaker 1: anything like that. As of right now, the Raiders have
- 58:25Speaker 1: the first pick. Okay, so they're going to go quarterback.
- 58:32Speaker 1: And as we saw Carson Beck, he's falling off. Cam
- 58:35Speaker 1: Ward is falling off from people thinking that Quinton lewrs
- 58:41Speaker 1: from Texas. So if anything, so, Shadur easily could be
- 58:46Speaker 1: and nobody can say, oh, that's wrong, you know, if
- 58:50Speaker 1: they don't go Travis Hunter. I think Travis Hunter is
- 58:52Speaker 1: the best looking player for the pro game. But the
- 58:55Speaker 1: Raiders are going to be desperately seeking a quarterback, so
- 59:00Speaker 1: that could be definitely something. The only thing I'm saying
- 59:03Speaker 1: with Antonio, you'll find yourself out of a job. You
- 59:08Speaker 1: don't let Dion set you up draft your sons only
- 59:12Speaker 1: to take your job.
- 59:15Speaker 15: So I look at the possibility of that coming where Okay,
- 59:19Speaker 15: Tom Brady is a part owner. He mentored Shadeur, so
- 59:25Speaker 15: there's a relationship there. And with Dion Sanders the So
- 59:32Speaker 15: what what on a what percentage do you give of
- 59:35Speaker 15: a chance that the Raiders would draft Shaduur and bring
- 59:40Speaker 15: in Dion Sanders as the head coach.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Oh, I could give it a sixty forty. You just
- 59:45Speaker 1: said spectacle. Now, you just said spectacle, nothing else. We're
- 59:49Speaker 1: gonna draft your son. Your son is only seen. We
- 59:52Speaker 1: only know your son to play under your tutelage. We don't.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Antonio Peers hasn't won any games, so it's to owe
- 59:59Speaker 1: him any loyalty to that degree. Actually offered him his
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: old job back. You know, the Raiders have always, to me,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: been one of those teams that have always when they
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: couldn't get who they wanted, they just hired a solid replacement.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: I don't think they hired him as though I want
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Antonio Pears to be my head coach. For as much
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: as I can't get the person I wanted, I went
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: with somebody I knew. That makes sense. The hardballs already
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: have a job, so yeah, well go with somebody safe
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: that I know, and I can go down here and
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: scream and those kind of things, and I can fire
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: without recourse. Do you think that? Do you think that
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: in hiring.
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: That comes into I got to be able to have
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: a coach that's able to digest my personality, like that's
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: going to be critical. Like his proficiency is important. But
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: if he can't deal with me coming down and going
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: no no, Now add more salt to those girls.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Well well yeah, if you're not winning, I got to
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: have that. Okay, if it's a winning coach. Didn't know
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Jared Jones get involved regardless, Well, he only hires people
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he can public mass. Okay, we'll be back more to

- 1:02:19Speaker 2: excuse me while I whip this out.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: Shoot broadcasting live and it led her to a joke.

- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Can you win me?
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Dan?
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Flank me down?
- 1:02:37Speaker 26: That consola consol p get that comes to Mark?
- 1:02:41Speaker 19: Is it just.
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: I'm gonna do it.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna go all the way.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: You may vegan.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Sport Shock Show. I'm the Sport
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you us Monday night
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: football Bengals, Cowboys Boys. We've talked about that. If you
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: missed any of that first hour, you can go to
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Apple Podcast, Amazon Podcast, Audible, Spotify, Deezer, or iHeart Radio.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: After the show goes off and here the replay Big
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Kenny command you Craig in the Building animation Dallas, Cincinnati.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: That will on es PN plus. On regular ABC and ESPN,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you will get the regular broadcast of the game. So
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: we'll get to see whether what Troy Aikman looks like.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Will he be drunk in his animated version?
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: That that's who's gonna play that dude? It most the one. Yeah,
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: that'll be Troy Aikman's character.
- 1:03:50Speaker 23: Uh.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: And speaking of ESPN, I mean Randy Moss, the Hall
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: of Famous stepping away. We talked about last week some
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: health issues that Randy Moss is come upon a speculation
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: that maybe is liver disease. So he's going to step
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: away for a little while here from the ESPN gig
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: that he has. So our prayers go out to our man, Randy,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: who has entertained us from all the way back to
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Marshall and then where he went to college, the Marshall
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: So that's early nineties when he was there. So that
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: is Bill Belichick rumors about going to take the North
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Carolina job. I don't know Bill Belichick our college. Yeah,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: they was saying, maybe, you know, with Mac Brown leaving,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Bill Belichick wants to get back into coaching. It's not
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: a money thing because a lot of these college coaches
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: make more than the pro coaches. I just don't see
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: him reclculating. Has he ever been a head coach in college. No, No,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: so he's never done the flip flop. He was defensive
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: coordinator a lot of times, and then the head coaches.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: He's never done his linebacker coach. So that would be
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: at seventy two years old, that would be I don't
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: know if he had been in college before, you can
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: see it, but college still right now is a little
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: different nuances. I would imagine just too. I don't see him.
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: His temperament wouldn't. I wouldn't imagine would match a college program.
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: Just you know, he'd be wanting to he'd be wanting
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: to fire everybody's coach.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: We own scholarship. We can't really be fired. That's okay,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: this guy, we're going to fire him, but just fire him,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: give him a pink slip. Well, no, he's a student now,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he's got nil deal.
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: Fire.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Well. His favorite player, Tom Brady also said no, he
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: didn't see Bo Belichick going to college and coach.
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: And then you'd be surprised in North Carolina. I mean,
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: if you were, you wouldn't think he wants some more
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: high profile.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Well, they're also offering I think Arthur Smith, former head
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: coach here in Atlanta, he's the decoordinator of the Stillers.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: They're going to offer him the job as well. I
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: think he played at North Carolina though when he played
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: back in college, so that could be an easy path
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: to get him. Roy Jones Junior says he wants to
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: fight Jake Paul. Stop Roy, let it go? Well you
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: let Tyson do it. No, No, and Roy and his feelings,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I understand you watch your No. Roy needs twenty million dollars.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: That's that day. We all don't know. We all what
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: else he said, it's so judgmental. Don't be like that.
- 1:06:48Speaker 15: Come, don't don't like don't worry about the fight part.
- 1:06:54Speaker 15: He needs twenty million dollars or he sees an opportunity
- 1:06:57Speaker 15: for twenty million dollars. I want to say the man's
- 1:06:58Speaker 15: broker or anything like that. But he sees an opportunity
- 1:07:02Speaker 15: for twenty million dollars and it doesn't count against his record, sir,
- 1:07:06Speaker 15: And he can sell a fight.
- 1:07:08Speaker 8: If if Jake Paul would fight me for twenty million dollars,
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: jumping to bring with him.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: But don't worry about worry about the result or you
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: know who won or loss getting the twenty billion dollars.
- 1:07:22Speaker 8: And again I don't know if anyone has verified this,
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: but I heard that there were clauses in the Paul
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: Tyson contract that dictated that the that the money was
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: attached to the number of rounds that it went. So
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: if if Jake Paul gets knocked out early or Mike
- 1:07:41Speaker 8: Tyson goes I'm gonna just get punched once and go
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: down and get my twenty million, that's not true. I
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: gotta go these many rounds to get this much money,
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: and go the full length to get the full twenty million.
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: So I think I saw a clip of Roy Jones
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: saying that basically he won't some payback. You touched my
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: boy up and I'm gonna show you that boxing ain't
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: no joke and hurt you for real.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: That's selling the fight. Okay. I can believe that part. Now,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I can believe that. Yeah, I gotta we gotta come
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: up with some storyline.
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: Storyline, right because we're not just gonna go right, We're
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: not just gonna go from old boxer gets paid again.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Yeah, w has to come into to the mix at
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: some point, right right. Uh, when you talk about boxing,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: you something, logan, Paul, you think that you've a boxer,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: but you've not baby a couple of other hirings. Southern Miss.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Yesick Kenney says that Southern Miss is hiring Marshall's coach,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Charles Hoff Yes, Yes, to be their new head coach.
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: Been the talk of the Golden Eagle universe for the
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: past several days. Mister huff from Marshall Yes, uh yeah,
- 1:08:57Speaker 8: just uh and and did so other things.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: But most famously, that's his last game.
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: And I believe a lot of Southern misfaithful are excited
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: because he's the first head coach of color at Southern
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: Miss for the football program, which you know they still
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: track that kind of stuff.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: So, oh, I didn't I didn't know what color. Yeah,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: he's black. I was surprised he was leaving Marshall to
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: go to Southern Miss. Actually, listen, listen. I didn't say
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: that in the Southern Miss chat. I didn't say that
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: because did it. That would make me, you know, I'd
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: have got a lot of heat for that. But I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: was thinking I thought Marshall was a higher profile program. Yeah,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. I'm very surprised he even would
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: And now they probably have heard me say that, Michael,
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: So I'm still catch the heat, but I didn't.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Say it in the chat. Duke's running back coach Willie Simmons,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: who used to be the head coach of FAM you
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: he will now be the head coach f F i
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: U Florida International University uh and U ce F Gus Maleson,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: who used to be at Auburn, went to UCF to
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: be the head coach and now has gone to Gregg's
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Florida State University. Gus Maleson is going to be the
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: offensive coordinator for Florida State uh SO. UCF brought back
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Scott Frost, who was their head coach about four years
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: ago when they were undefeated. I want to ask, Usually.
- 1:10:26Speaker 8: In corporate America, a lot of recent job assignments would
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: indicate that maybe you weren't your work ethic was compromised somehow,
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: like you know, you got you had eight different jobs
- 1:10:40Speaker 8: in the last six years. That concerns me. But in coaching,
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: it's never like that. It's like you could have been
- 1:10:46Speaker 8: at seven different programs in the last four years, and
- 1:10:49Speaker 8: if there's a space here and we like it, they
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: you get right on in there. Nobody ever goes, oh,
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: this dude seems to move around a lot well, I
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: think coaches are adjusting to the understanding that all I'm
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: doing is taking this job to get fired. I think
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: they have made the adjustment to I was riding the
- 1:11:15Speaker 8: other day with a couple of friends and telling them
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: I would imagine most coaches now don't even move their stuff.
- 1:11:24Speaker 8: They're kind of like a hotel.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: They just well, I'm saying, they'll get a little whatever
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: the school is providing, but that whole need to where
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: my wife and every kid now, why I'll be home
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: during because basketball most likely in three years, that's becoming
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: a long tenure. Yeah, in three years if I'm not
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: in the I mean, they're talking about firing the coach
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Ohio State, Ryan Day, just because he hasn't been missig
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: So he's eleven and one, eleven and one, eleven and one,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: but so obviously as a sorry coach, right, yeah, he's lost.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: What's wrong with the Michigan He's lost ten games, four
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: of them have been to to Michigan, and that some people,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: that's still that still matters, like that one like you
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: lost to that team though you won all these other games,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: but you lost to that team and we can't tolerate it.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: That still that still happens. I had a buddy. I
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: had a buddy in college.
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: His dad was like that about grades, like you got
- 1:12:33Speaker 8: all you got all a's and a B plus, Like
- 1:12:37Speaker 8: what's going on with physics that you're getting to B plus?
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: And I was like, and I said, other coaches understand
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that what you do with this school as a head coach,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: most likely it won't be particularly you. It doesn't tell
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: me the degree of a coach that you are. It
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: just lets me know you couldn't work the magic quickly
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: enough for them. For them, they won't instant turn around.
- 1:13:07Speaker 8: I guess the golden parachute is worth it though that
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: getting out of there with you know, third eight million.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: this Don't go Away. More of the Sports Jock Show
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: with Wayne Dan, videos, dumbing Up.
- 1:13:31Speaker 12: Mass and sitcoms. When someone has a problem, they just
- 1:13:35Speaker 12: blurt it out and move on.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: Well, I lost my job and my parakeet is missing.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: How is your day?
- 1:13:43Speaker 12: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenges can
- 1:13:46Speaker 12: be overwhelming.
- 1:13:47Speaker 8: So what do we do?
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: We get support?

- 1:14:08Speaker 26: athletic events. Some fancy and angry, They lack civility toward
- 1:14:12Speaker 26: one another. Some even get aggressive and unruly.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Time out. What is going on? This has to stop.
- 1:14:23Speaker 26: Let's not forget school sports aren't just about winning, and
- 1:14:26Speaker 26: they're definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out
- 1:14:29Speaker 26: on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons
- 1:14:33Speaker 26: like perseverance, respect and empathy so students can learn and
- 1:14:37Speaker 26: grow as.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: People, not just as players.
- 1:14:41Speaker 26: We all have a role to play in setting a
- 1:14:43Speaker 26: good example for our students and teaching them these important values.
- 1:14:47Speaker 26: So fans, it's time to step up your game and
- 1:14:50Speaker 26: behave positively at interscholastic athletic events in Georgia.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: This message presented by the GHSA and the Georgia Athletic
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: Directors Association.
- 1:15:04Speaker 23: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy, Welcome
- 1:15:27Speaker 23: back to the Sports Shot Show.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: A couple of birthdays here from yesterday and today. Joe
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Burrow celebrating the birthday and playing a game tonight is
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: twenty eight years old. Raven Simone is thirty nine. Tianna
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Taylor is thirty four. Bobby Flay is sixty years of age.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Nea People, you remember Nea People's actress, She's sixty three
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: years of a. Evelyn Lozada is forty nine. She was
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: married to Ojo. They were engaged. Okay, okay, Ken forty
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: nine years old. Who else do we have here? John
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: malcovi is the actor seventy one. Olympic gymnastics star MICHAELA.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Marony is twenty nine. The Dane Judy Dench is ninety. Wow,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: she's been around a while. Kelly Ubray is twenty nine.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: He's a sixer steal yes, okay. Philip Rivers is forty three.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: The great Teresa Witherspoon, who just got released from Chicago Sky,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: is sixty. She was the head coach there for one
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: year and they got rid of her. Kim Bass Singer
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: is seventy two. Terry Hatcher is sixty one, Nicki Minaj
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: is forty two, and our man d White Howard is
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: thirty nine. Is the White Coward.
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: Just Dwight could have you know if you let him
- 1:17:17Speaker 8: make out the list, he go on it. He go
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: on the clockey in mess so Vic Kenny worked today.
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: Evelyn Losada. She used to filling out work permits. You know,
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: she know how to have the large work crews. She
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: understands the traffic and the nuances of large work crews.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: So we're gonna work with her. Daughter just had a
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: baby with the game. See see the family business with
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: her in the game is about the same agent in
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: the game forty nine something like that.
- 1:17:54Speaker 8: So yeah, he close to see the family business now
- 1:17:58Speaker 8: she she getting everybody is forty nine, and I was
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: thinking the game about forty five. The Kardashians ain't the
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: only ones forty five, right, Yeah, Kardashions ain't the only
- 1:18:11Speaker 8: ones gonna cash in.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Her daughter had a baby with the game, so that's interesting.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Wow yeah, wow to be that close in age and
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: then and then yeah, yeah, very interesting forty nine Diddy's case,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: the name Jazzy Boy Young Hope, because then that where
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: his name came from. Jay Z. Yeah. I used to
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: call him Jazzy Jazz or something like that, and then I.
- 1:18:43Speaker 15: Thought it was the rapperitic Jazz oh who he worked
- 1:18:47Speaker 15: with when he first started, and so he kind of
- 1:18:49Speaker 15: like remixed the name and right he has.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: J oh okay, okay. It was something that the jazz
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: was kind of his mentor like his Yeah, that has
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: come up in the ditty case. So listen, listen, you
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: don't want much to do with the Diddy case, and
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: listen some about thirteen year old back in two thousand.
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: Now, now I was, first of all, First of all,
- 1:19:17Speaker 8: most people in entertainment business listening real close, make sure
- 1:19:21Speaker 8: they name don't come up in no Diddy case. Cause
- 1:19:24Speaker 8: did he been around a long time and people have
- 1:19:27Speaker 8: been trying to hang out with him for a long time.
- 1:19:29Speaker 8: And at some point in all these years, you might
- 1:19:31Speaker 8: have found yourself around Diddy and you thought you was
- 1:19:34Speaker 8: just being with Diddy. But now the phibi didn'et got
- 1:19:37Speaker 8: involved in everybody nervous. Jay Z released a very lengthy
- 1:19:42Speaker 8: statement denying all of these allegations and saying that.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: The allegations or hanging with Diddy.
- 1:19:49Speaker 8: He's denying all of the allegations. He's saying that this
- 1:19:52Speaker 8: is a blackmail attempt and that the lawyer who is
- 1:19:57Speaker 8: hatching this scheme is known for this and he thought
- 1:20:01Speaker 8: that jay Z would settle and go away. But no,
- 1:20:04Speaker 8: I'm gonna show you I'm not like any of them.
- 1:20:06Speaker 8: And this is he did say something interesting. He said,
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: this is criminal. And if you truly thought that a
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: child was sexually assaulted, wouldn't you be filing a criminal
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: complaint rather than a civil lawsuit?
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: And not always true, not always true, sports jock.
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: I'm saying now, we know, we know from letting these
- 1:20:29Speaker 8: cases breathe that a lot of the language can indicate
- 1:20:34Speaker 8: the direction that it's going to go. Most people get
- 1:20:36Speaker 8: emotional by just hearing it, and they pick a side.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: But we've seen this.
- 1:20:40Speaker 8: We've seen these denials turn into all right, man, look
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: I apologize, and we've seen that he did it or
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: she did it turn into we're sorry. So we'll have
- 1:20:52Speaker 8: to let this story breathe and see how it plays out.
- 1:20:54Speaker 8: But this Diddy thing, I think is going to draw
- 1:20:59Speaker 8: everybody name into it at some point.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Well, it always will depend on what Diddy has to say.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: So everybody's protected until did he starts speaking, starts speaking
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: right now if he wants to, based on how he
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: wants to play his cards, You know that everybody's career
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: is basically hinging on what to do and based on
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: and that's all. Let's be honest, be honest with yourself
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: to know that out there, whoever you are, because he
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: knows who got invited to the list where we're not
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: talking about which about a very smart, genius businessman, and
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: so he knows who was on the list and who wasn't,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: and he knows why he put him on the list.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: You know, it's based to me, everybody is all hinging
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: upon what he wants to say.
- 1:21:48Speaker 8: Yeah, he might pull a it's bigger than me on
- 1:21:51Speaker 8: Brown And I got a whole list of people.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: I'm not going down by myself. And sadly, and this
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: is touching because I just saw this man on the
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: jumbo tron at the Chargers Falcons game December the first.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: The head of Tyler Perry Studios, Steve Minsk Steve Minch,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: passed away in a flight airplane crash one man one
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: cedar plane in Florida a couple of days ago, and
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: they had just shown him on the jumbo tron. The
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Falcons was doing a tribute to what they called Atlanta Wood,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: kind of a play on Hollywood. Throughout the whole game,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: they kept showing different producers of movieses and a lot
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: of the skits. They had a band that came out
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: and kind of pretended as though they were a drum
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: line that kind of stuff, and they showed this, and
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: that's how I knew the name. Yes, and they said
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Tyler ahead of Tyler Studios. And he passed away here
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: over the last couple of days in a plane crash.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Steve Minsk over there.
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: And as larger footprint as Tyler Perry Studios has in
- 1:23:05Speaker 8: this area, I wonder how long that will delay things.
- 1:23:08Speaker 8: And I'm sure like sports, they have somebody a backup
- 1:23:13Speaker 8: to take over if something goes wrong. But this can
- 1:23:16Speaker 8: halt things to a grind for a while.

- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Swashock Show. I'm the sweatshock winning
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: candy twenty seven to fourteen. The Stillers who just played
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: the Browns like two weeks ago, out in the snow,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: winning the game in Pittsburgh where Russell Wilson had a
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: great day, one hundred and fifty eight yards, two touchdowns.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Jameis Winston, as I said, he is as great as
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: he is terrible. He is the true quandary of quarterback play.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Two touchdowns, two interceptions. He just that's him. That's with
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: his career. You can't even say buff because the buffs
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: means that I'm just all negative, right, you feel like
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: you know you can't. It's like he didn't live up
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: to the number one pick in the draft. Yes, but
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: was he a bus No? A bus is a person
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: who didn't get it done at all. Jamos gets it
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: done and then he doesn't.
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: Does that make it more frustrating? A bus is at
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: least consistent, you see what I'm saying, a bus. We
- 1:27:29Speaker 8: know this dude gonna be bad, consistently bad.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: We know that.
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: But James is more frustrating because he'll give you flat
- 1:27:37Speaker 8: out brilliance.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: I'm saying not. This dude is improved, and I love
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: his scrappy attitude. This dude is. This dude looks like
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: somebody that should have went number one.
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: And look, six touchdowns in one game or nine touchdowns?
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: Then turn how you throw nine interceptions and nine touchdown?
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: Like who even gets to throw them all that many time?
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: Times that you can match the number of touchdowns with interceptions?
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: James? Only him? He can do it only him?
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: Is it?
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Is it a mental thing with him?
- 1:28:09Speaker 8: Do you think that something in him has him trapped
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: where even subconsciously he sees the open man and ghost
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: now a pick six?
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: You know it's just something goes, I gotta throw this.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: All I know is when I saw Jamis at Florida State,
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: he would do something to make up for his bad
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: play that make you overlook It's almost like winning the
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: game solves all negativity, okay, because we still won the game. Now,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: sure you miss nine tackles and dah blah blah blah.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: I knocked the ball down at the end though, Remember
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: I did that. Now, I know I gave up the
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: first three touchdown. But when they try to get at fourth.
- 1:29:00Speaker 8: Though, right, I knocked And then and then they said,
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: how do you feel that I quoted God?
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: And then I said, I'm strong. You strong. That could
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: work for a game, but not over a season like
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: he Yeah, the same year he threw thirty interceptions, he
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: threw for five thousand yards. But you, but that is
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: the key to why I always tell people that's what
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: makes you a backup at a position. It's your inconsistency.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: It's not your talent. Everybody's always asking me these quoting like, no,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: the other two linemen, the other receiver, the other corner.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: He is just as talented as the one that's starting.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: He's just not as consistent. Right, the longer he plays,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: the less effective he is. But boy, if you watch
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: it for a quarter though, he man, that man, he
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: a little mixture of Dion and Dale.
- 1:30:05Speaker 8: Caught it for about nineteen minutes. You got to pull
- 1:30:09Speaker 8: him because then they gonna start going throward this side.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: They're gonna kill him late in the game. And that's
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: all the difference is. That's why your backup comes in
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: the game for a game. That's what he's supposed to do.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Never count your team out the next week because the
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: bat he his whole job is to get you through
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: an injury. The starting went out, he's gonna be back
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: in two weeks. The trunk it in. I can get
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: you through two games because I'm strong. Got the third game,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: you're gonna start finding out why I'm a back I'm
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: a backup. And that's kind of how Jameis is. He
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: get out there, he can show you and that's just him.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: But the Stealers winning their tenth game. They're ten and three,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: looking good with four games left to go in the season.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: The Falcons fading fast, Yes they are. Kirk Cousins has
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: just been throwing interceptions all over the place. Uh and
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: this system, and I can't I would say about half
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: of those interceptions are our own, Kirk.
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: They're on him of forcing the ball. Yesterday, yesterday I
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: saw him go to Jamis quality. Yes, yeah, I'm talking
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: about it was some straight Jamis could have done that.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: It has been some tough times. I only alive Branch.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: I do give Kurt that people don't realize sometimes with
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: any player in any sport is the transition when you
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: leave one team to go to another. A lot of
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: times it only shines when that team completely vacates what
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: they were doing to do what you want.
- 1:31:46Speaker 8: To and wasn't that they were supposed to be doing.
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: They were going to build a system around Kirk. I
- 1:31:52Speaker 8: thought that's what they were doing here, Like you're gonna
- 1:31:54Speaker 8: make it serviceable for Kirk.
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: Yeah, So where's uh, justin Jefferson for the Falcons. That
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: should be Drake London? Right, Hey, same same player come
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: and eat, same player not coming in. That's the big mick.
- 1:32:17Speaker 8: Oh what no, No, we all got you all be
- 1:32:22Speaker 8: special s cheese, pickles and onions.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: But our bonds have no I need the seeds. Jefferson
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: brings the seeds. Jake London don't have no seeds on
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: his bond. Oh see, I didn't know that. I know
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: he was.
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: We don't think the seeds make that big of a difference.
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: We honestly don't see the difference. Certainly what the Philippines
- 1:32:47Speaker 8: won't even let.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: You in right in that in that country, right yeah,
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: they don't let you do poppy seeds. You can't do
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: nothing seed. So before y'all go, y'all, don't have a
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: justin Jefferson on the Falcons, do you or did I
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: miss him? That's Drake London, he is, he is a
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: lot of times he'd be Drake. That's the big No,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: I want a big man. What I'm saying is if
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: you don't take it all the way out the paper,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: you think it's a big man.
- 1:33:18Speaker 15: But I had I had a question with with with
- 1:33:21Speaker 15: Kirk Cousins, and I know you mentioned this with the
- 1:33:23Speaker 15: Falcons fan base before, how they react to stuff. There
- 1:33:27Speaker 15: are some Falcons fans that I know that want to
- 1:33:30Speaker 15: go ahead and put in Pennis. And am I rung
- 1:33:35Speaker 15: for saying that if you're gonna, if you want to
- 1:33:37Speaker 15: put in Pennis, now forget about the rest of the season.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: Correct, That is the right statement. You got four games left,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: either let the veteran Kirk find something here. You got
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: a favorable schedule where you can easily win. I mean
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: you got the Raiders, the Giants and the Panthers three
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: of your last four games only game that you have
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: tough is the Commanders. So you can easily wake up
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: at the end of the season and be nine to eight,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: which most likely will win the division because you already
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: beat Tampa twice. So either Kurt's gonna get you through
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: this storm or the boat just has to sink. But
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: to throw this young man who you're grooming in there
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: in some kind of pull out your cape this lady
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: in the season is wrong to him and wrong for
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: your veterans. This is this is the bed that Kurt
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: and uh rah raheem.
- 1:34:37Speaker 8: You commission to Gordon Batman the whole city on five.
- 1:34:42Speaker 8: Now you're finna wake up, Superman.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: No, no, don't do that. Not with this schedule. No,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: don't do that. They have they should win three of
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: the next four games.
- 1:34:53Speaker 8: Surely you can beat the Riddler and the Scarecrow, two
- 1:34:57Speaker 8: of them at home, two away. What I'm saying, come on, man,
- 1:35:00Speaker 8: surely mister Free. Mister Free is the Scarecrow, and surely
- 1:35:04Speaker 8: you got this.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: Bat Man. You gotta have this or you don't deserve
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: to go to playoffs. But you put into work, you
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: got the you got it. So that if you and
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: Tampa have the same record, you go, and that's all
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: you gotta work for to have a month where you
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: go three and one and you're playing three of the
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: worst teams in the league to do that, because next
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Monday Night Raiders might just throw the game to keep
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: the first pick.
- 1:35:33Speaker 8: I can't say that I'm on probation. You just can't
- 1:35:39Speaker 8: supposed to be around. You make us sound complicit like
- 1:35:44Speaker 8: wen't on it. They'll question us. So the Philly it's
- 1:35:49Speaker 8: not the Phillies.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: The Philadelphia Eagles are complaining that they can't throw the ball,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: but they're leven in two. I don't understand people keep
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: questioning them about the past game. Jalen Hurts threw for
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: two touchdowns, but he doesn't throw four hundred and eight yards.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: And the receivers are frustrated. Well, all I know is
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: that if you're frustrated as a Philadelphia receiver, then you
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: must have slept through the day that the Eagles signed
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: Saquin Barkley. Maybe you would sleep that day hanging out
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: with Big Kenny y'all was out on the yacht, spoken
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: that good.
- 1:36:31Speaker 8: Maybe see and then when the then, when the fans
- 1:36:34Speaker 8: come to ask about the dinnything, my name come up
- 1:36:36Speaker 8: again with the Good and the yacht.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: I want to take my name off of this list.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: I'm just saying. If I'm a receiver and the forty
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: nine ers trade Christian McCaffrey to my team, something tells
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: me my numbers might go down.
- 1:36:53Speaker 8: Coach said we were still gonna be friends, though you
- 1:36:56Speaker 8: said you said nothing was gonna change about our relationship.
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: You'll hang out.
- 1:37:00Speaker 8: We could still be buds. And now that hadn't transpired.
- 1:37:04Speaker 8: I feel like I'm by myself now and you just
- 1:37:07Speaker 8: hang it out with this guy.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: Twenty carries yesterday for one hundred and twenty four yards,
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: still has his hand up for MVP of the season
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: and eleven and two. So that ain't good enough for
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: you people? What is wrong with you? We used to
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: spend so much more time. It's receivers. Did you hear
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: your record? Receivers want the ball elevety two to two
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: and eleven. Give you the ball that hot, that hot
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Coco won't go get itself.

- 1:40:45Speaker 3: As you can see the sports joint, I'll see even the.
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: Very canny Welcome back to this war shock show. I'm
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: the one shock wing Gandy. The NBA is returning to
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: China for the first time time since twenty nineteen. Next
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: year they will play over in China. Remember the Chinese
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: government put them out when command you, Greg and his
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: friends went over there protesting human rights because you know,
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: do human rights, and they threw they was burning the
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: NBA stuff or making the stores they got kind of
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: they got through it out all the stores.
- 1:41:28Speaker 15: Right ya, took the games that were being played, took
- 1:41:32Speaker 15: them off TV TV, so I guess, And did that
- 1:41:37Speaker 15: change anything.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: For people in China?
- 1:41:44Speaker 12: No?
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: I think they were showing we can do without basketball,
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: right and not basketball was back in China because they
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: have their own basketball league anyway, So it's not like
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: we couldn't put basketball on television. We just don't have
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: NBA players.
- 1:42:00Speaker 8: So the NBA went like, hey, them couple billion people
- 1:42:04Speaker 8: you got, you might put some on the TV again,
- 1:42:07Speaker 8: but we cool, don't.
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: You don't got to worry about human rights no more. Well, yeah,
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: from an economic standpoint. From for teams, it would come
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: from as I said, most payment of the player is
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: basically TV rights. That's how you that's how you make
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: your budget. That's what the negotiation is. The percentage of
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: the TV rights, How much go to the players, how
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: much go to the owner. The owner's lucrative part is
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: arena and sales and things that he can do with
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: his arena. That's why you see a lot of owners
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: willing to gamble to take more of the load of
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: building the arena. They used to be more fifty to
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: fifty split with the state or the city. Now they
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: will so they can dictate more of what they can
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: rent it out for. And then merchandising can be player
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: and owner. Because I can't sell my stuff in that store,
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: and in lebronze Jersey, he gets a certain percentage of
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: Jersey sell but if I can't sell them, and then
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: I don't know about how China lets imports come into
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: their country. I'm quite sure if they were not selling
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: the stuff on in the stores. They were not going
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: to let citizens order it online. Yeah yeah, So if
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: I got the power enough to throw it out the
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: stores and burn it and take you off TV, something
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: tells me I got enough power to lock down this. Yeah,
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: this little distribution warehouse.
- 1:43:35Speaker 8: Ain't nobody releasing no new Jay's today, won't be standing
- 1:43:40Speaker 8: in no lines here in Beijing.
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: You can beleave that. So NBA back in China next season.
- 1:43:48Speaker 8: But I'm saying, so, NBA, will you leave alone the
- 1:43:52Speaker 8: human rights thing now? I mean, because is it not
- 1:43:55Speaker 8: important to you anymore? Because ain't none changed, ain't not changed.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: We feel that bringing our games there will help inspire
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: the people to dream about change. But if you see
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: here in the last season or two, all the leagues
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: have kind of gotten away from any of this, this
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: political spend all of it, and sometimes you are allowed
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: to do some stuff until the collective bargaining agreement comes
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: back to the table and that's when the owners can
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: write down what can and can't be and we got
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: to vote on it. But you haven't really seen a
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: lot of that. I can't bring right, don't stand up
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: for the flag, all that kind of T shirt. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: all that has kind of faded away, definitely sports lonso
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: Ball thinks that his dad's big ball of brands shoes
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: or possibly the reason for all his injury woes. He
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: says the shoes were kind of like kickball shoes, which
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: stood out because I don't remember any kind of kickball shoes.
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: But remember then kickball got popular, they had started making
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: the shoes.
- 1:45:17Speaker 8: I don't know, I'm saying, right, when something generally gets
- 1:45:20Speaker 8: into the social conscience of our country, they'll make all
- 1:45:26Speaker 8: kinds of accessories that go along with it.
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: I live pickleball.
- 1:45:29Speaker 8: Now they've got pickleball centers. When you know, you just
- 1:45:33Speaker 8: go play pickleball at a regular tennis court. But I
- 1:45:38Speaker 8: think it's interesting that he's speaking up now after a
- 1:45:41Speaker 8: litany of injuries that maybe you should have.
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: Said something earlier. Well he was young, yeah, and remember, yeah,
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: that has been the catalyst everything. I guess what is
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: he now about twenty six? Yeah, Alonso twenty seven at
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: most right in there. So maybe now he's finally understanding
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: what all that was coming from. Maybe he's starting to
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: try new shoes and think, wow, this sometimes. I mean
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: even now you can go and not realize you need
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: to adjust to a different shoe. A lot of times
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: we're into style, but that's not the best shoe for
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: what you're trying to do. That's not a mountain climbing shoe,
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: or that's not a you know, certain shoes people don't
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: even get. A running shoe is really what it's saying.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: It's meant to go forward. It's not even built to
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: go backwards right. And people go to the store and
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: look up at the sign over the shoes and pay
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: it no attention. It says running or basketball or what's
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: the one where you do everything in the gym, cross training.
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: All that is really meant to tell you that this
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: shoe is meant to absorb this and people. I'll see
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: people activities and.
- 1:47:05Speaker 8: It's like in my basketball shoes, grass in my basketball shoes.
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: Get me stop and cut you know what I mean?
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: I gotta I need that ankle. Have you ever seen
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: like somebody you can't play ten You can do it,
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: excuse me, but you're at more risk trying to play
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: tennis in a running shoe. A running shoe is not
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: meant to tilt right or left. It doesn't even it's
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: not it's built to go forward, yes, and cushion that impact.
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: That's how they designed it. But people will go out
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: and maybe that's what he is and they're a tennis
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: section in the shoe store. Yeah, it has a it
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: has a bigger toe area. But I'm saying we do
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: most things through design more than we do function. We
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: think we can take anything and make it. That's why
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: you don't go jogging in Georgia. They're not like marathon shoe.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: So we'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: right after.
- 1:48:08Speaker 13: This Don't Go Away or of the Sports Jock Show
- 1:48:24Speaker 13: with Wayne Dandius Dumbing up next.

- 1:48:36Speaker 1: Man, that's love and.

- 1:50:35Speaker 1: Wayne Gandy. Now it's time for a school board.
- 1:50:41Speaker 5: Can we put a spin on life and sports and
- 1:50:44Speaker 5: how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:52Speaker 9: Love about Man, You're bout to get the zities see
- 1:50:57Speaker 9: all the songs.
- 1:50:59Speaker 11: The gas.
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: Is Welcome back to the Sport Shop Show. I'm the
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: Sports Shops Win Candy forty two. The Rams beating the
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: Bills yesterday in an exciting game where Josh Allen of
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: the Bills I'm quite sure went to talk to his
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: defense when they got back on the plane to Buffalo. Man,
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: I scored six touchdowns today, y'all. Y'all can't stop nobody.
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: So y'all didn't want to play today because you scored
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: six touchdowns and lose. You want to talk to somebody, right.
- 1:51:47Speaker 8: I'm saying, if you scored sif you ain't scored seven, No,
- 1:51:50Speaker 8: I'm saying, we out here stopping people.
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: Who you stopped out? Who you stop? Y'all?
- 1:51:55Speaker 8: You concerned about is going in one direction? We got
- 1:51:58Speaker 8: to catch people all over the pit.
- 1:52:00Speaker 15: They said it was the first game that a team
- 1:52:03Speaker 15: scored six touchdowns and had no turnovers and still lost
- 1:52:07Speaker 15: the game. That's first time it's ever happen. The man
- 1:52:10Speaker 15: scored six touchdowns himself. We need to have a talk
- 1:52:14Speaker 15: on the plane back. We ain't gotta argue.
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: I'm not saying I'm coming back to the back to
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: argue with y'all. I just want to know what I
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: need to go talk to coach.
- 1:52:21Speaker 8: About about you throwing more touchdowns? You and whide receive
- 1:52:27Speaker 8: and need to connect more. I'm saying six is cool,
- 1:52:30Speaker 8: but obviously it ain't enough to win.
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: It ain't enough. You keep on harming on this little
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: six touchdowns, that's what you do. Throw the ball, right, Yeah,
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: I ran for three and threw for three. A lot
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: of work today, man, Like it looked like y'all didn't
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: playing on working today. Sound real, judge, sound real judgmental
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: to me. The forty nine ers, who are going to
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: try to win it all by winning out beat the
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: Bears thirty eight to thirteen. The Bears are just really
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: the most dysfunctional team of the season. After getting Caleb Williams,
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: they fired the coach, a couple of coordinators, cut a
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: couple of players, and none of that has seemed the work.
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: They're still losing because typically when you make a change right,
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: you're supposed to if it's your fault. Big Kenny and
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: I get command, we're supposed to.
- 1:53:22Speaker 8: Win now now, I think, in my opinion, but I
- 1:53:26Speaker 8: secretly didn't like that Big Kiddy got fired. And I
- 1:53:31Speaker 8: think a lot of what seems to be happening, and
- 1:53:34Speaker 8: I'm on the outside looking in, is it seems almost
- 1:53:38Speaker 8: like the Bears organization is trying to satisfy a petulant child.
- 1:53:46Speaker 8: Like the child is upset that things aren't going its
- 1:53:50Speaker 8: way and it's blaming it on everything.
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: But the child, I.
- 1:53:56Speaker 8: Don't like these toys, I don't like this food, I
- 1:53:59Speaker 8: don't like this place. I wish it was a different playground,
- 1:54:02Speaker 8: and they keep changing this stuff and his kids Steep
- 1:54:05Speaker 8: keep screaming and nobody's getting anything done, and I just
- 1:54:10Speaker 8: wonder how many of these The Bears fired a coach
- 1:54:14Speaker 8: in the middle of the season for the first time
- 1:54:16Speaker 8: ever in franchise history.
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: That that, to me, that says something about the era
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: that we're in. That that's not a have you a
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: bottle my new Neil polish? Though I did, I did.
- 1:54:33Speaker 8: I want to say that that that the way it
- 1:54:35Speaker 8: does the little bowling ball thing where it changes its colors.
- 1:54:38Speaker 8: I can appreciate that. I want you to know I
- 1:54:40Speaker 8: appreciate it, and I want you to know I appreciate
- 1:54:43Speaker 8: that because that's unique. That's unique both in ball finger
- 1:54:46Speaker 8: out polished.
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: I think that's this three and ten records.
- 1:54:51Speaker 8: Well, no, no, no, only because only because Caleb, we
- 1:54:56Speaker 8: hired you to play football.
- 1:54:57Speaker 20: Now.
- 1:54:57Speaker 8: All of the other stuff is a plus. The the
- 1:55:00Speaker 8: bowling ball, nail polish and the fashion forwardness. We love that,
- 1:55:06Speaker 8: but can we football? Sometimes you should try to ruby red?
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: Is that a plate? I'm saying, is that a third
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: and short?
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: Can that get us the first down? The ruby red?
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: Is that an audible? That's what Chicago is needing now
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: and they're trying to play Kate. Caleb Williams. He doesn't
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: play well enough, they won't pull him. I don't know.
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: For ninety minutes yesterday a roughly ninety minute, it's a
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: small plane circled MetLife Stadium with a sign that says
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: dumpster fire. They are trying to get the co owner
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: John Mara to fix the Giants, so it continued to
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: circle the stadium right now, trying to do you know
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: how upset you got to be with your team to
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: rent a plane. That's right, that's it. Put a sign
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: on it. I'm not saying just that, that's the whole
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: part of it. Written the plane is one thing.
- 1:56:09Speaker 8: But to have a sign and then make sure it's
- 1:56:13Speaker 8: the kind of sign that will fly behind the plane,
- 1:56:15Speaker 8: because you just can't link any sign for ninety enough fuel.
- 1:56:21Speaker 8: You gotta have cordinates because I'm just not going up
- 1:56:23Speaker 8: in the air going that way to Met Life Stadium.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: I need to know where I'm going. The two and
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: eleven Giants who might went out over the Raiders and
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: get them to pick number one. Pick at two and eleven.
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: They already got rid of Daniel Jones, so they opened
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: the They opened their way to a quarterback. YEP, I
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: mean think about what they did. So they're right there
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: with the you know that's you do or I guess
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: you do, are saying, and got rid of Daniel Jones
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: on something. We just quit when it ain't nothing critical.
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: We just don't want to pay him in. I wonder
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: if John was there at the stadium and saw the
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: sign or somebody had to send it to him.
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: John Morrow.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: Oh no, I know they now trust me.
- 1:57:08Speaker 8: If you rent a plane and attach a sign to
- 1:57:11Speaker 8: it and fly it for ninety minutes, you call him
- 1:57:13Speaker 8: and tell him to look up.
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: You let him know, Hey, hey, mar look out uh
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: for certain states, and it's a growing number. I know.
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: The most recently is New York. They are banning the
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: cell of muscle building supplements to miners. So miners, I mean,
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: it's not like it's a product that they won't still
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: be able to get. It's not, you know, through friends
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: and brothers and sisters and all that trash.
- 1:57:46Speaker 7: But it is.
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: In the state of New York and a couple of
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: other states they have banned the cell of all that
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: muscle weed prora.
- 1:57:57Speaker 8: Now now are they are? They saying they're banning it
- 1:58:00Speaker 8: to the cell of minus because it might be harmed.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: They're saying that that kind of so the other states
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: are just willing to roll the dice with the health
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: of our children. Well, I think in a lot of
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: those the regulations around how it's made, it's not FDA certified.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: I think that which is a concern which some kind
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: of way probably trickles down to where they're not getting
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: their cut of something. I'd hate to imagine that, but
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: that's fosted because it's since y'all unregularly, right, so you
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: muscle away people, since you don't pony up enough money,
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: I'm not getting my cut. So I don't think it's
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: that all of it is FDA knowledgeable, right, And then
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: that's probably your target demographic that you.
- 1:58:47Speaker 8: Know, sixteen to twenty sixteen, fifteen to eighteen, who really
- 1:58:52Speaker 8: want to get jacked in in performance, and so we're
- 1:58:54Speaker 8: cutting into your bottom line and.
