- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,

- 1:16Speaker 4: What did you say, don't don't say I never told
- 1:17Speaker 4: you nothing. I'll never helped you.
- 1:19Speaker 3: That's a fact.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Welcome back, man, Welcome back.
- 1:22Speaker 4: We happy to have you back in the town, back
- 1:24Speaker 4: in the state, back in the country. They were some
- 1:27Speaker 4: people were nervous, man, they were like yo, shot giving
- 1:29Speaker 4: up too much game. They might not them back, but
- 1:31Speaker 4: they let you back.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Out to China, Manu to the good folks at China
- 1:38Speaker 3: and the and the rest of the whole team out there. Comrades.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Man a lot to talk about me. We'll talk about
- 1:43Speaker 3: some of that stuff on this conversation because it does
- 1:46Speaker 3: relate to real estate. But if you've been following what
- 1:49Speaker 3: we've been doing over the last couple of months, we've
- 1:52Speaker 3: been having this how to series every few weeks where
- 1:55Speaker 3: it's interviewing a professional in uh in an area, and
- 2:00Speaker 3: it's more of a critical breakdown as far as as
- 2:04Speaker 3: opposed to an interview where we're just picking one particular
- 2:07Speaker 3: topic and we're just going through it like Okay, tell
- 2:11Speaker 3: me about this, tell me about that. Sometimes they have slides,
- 2:14Speaker 3: and it's been really successful. We've done it on artificial intelligence,
- 2:17Speaker 3: we've done it on credit, we've done it on taxes
- 2:19Speaker 3: and The first person that we did with was Matt
- 2:22Speaker 3: mg the mortgage guy. We did it probably like six
- 2:24Speaker 3: months ago, and he did home buying, home buying process
- 2:29Speaker 3: for like people that's buying their first homes. So now
- 2:31Speaker 3: we're getting up for in vest Fast and we wanted
- 2:33Speaker 3: to revisit the conversation with real estate and this time
- 2:36Speaker 3: we're going to talk about a few things that we
- 2:38Speaker 3: didn't talk about last time. And we're going to talk about,
- 2:40Speaker 3: you know, how to how to make money in real
- 2:43Speaker 3: estate in some some conventional ways, some non conventional waves,
- 2:46Speaker 3: some ways that you're not even thinking about. So this
- 2:50Speaker 3: is going to be a good one. This is going
- 2:52Speaker 3: to be a good one. So let's let's bring them up.
- 2:58Speaker 2: NHow and gizzl. What's good?
- 3:03Speaker 3: My god?
- 3:03Speaker 5: You know, alive and blessed, thank God for another day.
- 3:06Speaker 5: What's good man?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Everything's good man. I think this is an important conversation.
- 3:09Speaker 4: As we've grown, as our audience has grown, people have
- 3:12Speaker 4: bought homes and that's great, and we've seen that increase
- 3:16Speaker 4: in our communities, which is important.
- 3:18Speaker 2: But the other piece is that there are people.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Who want to invest in real estate figure out how
- 3:22Speaker 4: to make money in real estate, which is less talked about,
- 3:25Speaker 4: So I'm glad we're going to be able to uncover
- 3:26Speaker 4: some of that tonight.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Man, we appreciate you being here.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Brother noways always grateful to be on the platform. Shout
- 3:32Speaker 5: out to earn your leisure. The hardest working man and
- 3:35Speaker 5: show baking. These guys traveled the world literally right now,
- 3:40Speaker 5: bringing us investigative journalism at the highest level. So please
- 3:45Speaker 5: throw some gems in a comment for Rashad and Troy,
- 3:48Speaker 5: because what they do, they make it look easy, but
- 3:51Speaker 5: it's extremely difficult and dangerous at times too, some dangerous
- 3:57Speaker 5: situations with giraffes and rhinos and hyenas. So let's not
- 4:05Speaker 5: let that go over your hair, y'all.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Shout out leisure was appreciate it. Appreciate it, my brother.
- 4:12Speaker 3: So always good to have you on the program. So, man,
- 4:16Speaker 3: we got an announcement for invest Fest, but I want
- 4:18Speaker 3: to wait a little bit until we get into the
- 4:20Speaker 3: to the flow of it. If you didn't watched Mark
- 4:22Speaker 3: and Monday's, shame on you. But you know we got
- 4:25Speaker 3: we got a lot, We got a lot. But I
- 4:27Speaker 3: will say just you know quick invest Fast is just
- 4:30Speaker 3: going crazy right now, like we just we actually just
- 4:33Speaker 3: got another person an hour ago. I didn't even get
- 4:36Speaker 3: a chance to tell you that yet, but we got
- 4:38Speaker 3: we got another alert, got another person an hour ago.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So the lineup is going crazy. Man, you look at
- 4:43Speaker 3: you look at Jack Dorsey, when you look at Magic Johnson,
- 4:47Speaker 3: when you look at somebody like On Weaver, whose networth
- 4:50Speaker 3: is four hundred million dollars, A lot of people might
- 4:52Speaker 3: not even be aware of that. She's one of the
- 4:55Speaker 3: richest black women in America. If you look at you know,
- 5:00Speaker 3: Issa Ray, Legend in the game, Steve Harvey, Charlamagne to God,
- 5:05Speaker 3: Tabitha Brown, John Hope, Briant killing of course of brother,
- 5:10Speaker 3: Ian Dunlap got nineteen Keys, Pinky Cole, Matt mg de,
- 5:14Speaker 3: Mortgage got doctor Seyanne, Brian Jamore Bryant, Stephen Jackson, The Russell,
- 5:20Speaker 3: Ryan Leslie. The list goes on and on and on.
- 5:22Speaker 3: But get your tickets to invest Fest. This is going
- 5:25Speaker 3: to be epic year five. Get your Venna booth. There's
- 5:28Speaker 3: a few Venda booths less. Don't miss out on the

- 5:35Speaker 3: minded people. That's powerful, can literally change your life. So
- 5:38Speaker 3: go to invest fst dot com, Get your tickets and
- 5:42Speaker 3: hope to see everybody in Atlanta in a few months
- 5:44Speaker 3: being looking forward to it. So Matt, let's get into it.
- 5:49Speaker 3: We talked about real estate, like I said the last
- 5:52Speaker 3: time you was on, but there was a few things
- 5:54Speaker 3: that we didn't talk about. So I definitely want to
- 5:56Speaker 3: talk about house hacking, want to talk about you know different,
- 6:01Speaker 3: might be a little bit different in twenty twenty five
- 6:03Speaker 3: going into twenty twenty six as far as on the
- 6:05Speaker 3: home buying investing side. But before we start, let's let's
- 6:09Speaker 3: really talk about other ways to make money in real
- 6:13Speaker 3: estate outside of the traditional buying a home right like
- 6:17Speaker 3: as far as even doing real estate as a profession,
- 6:20Speaker 3: and a lot of people think about realtate as a profession,
- 6:22Speaker 3: think about you know, selling homes as an agent to
- 6:26Speaker 3: sell to sell homes. But you have a unique theory
- 6:30Speaker 3: that we need more people in other areas, so talk
- 6:33Speaker 3: about that.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Yeah, man, again, thank you guys for having me. I
- 6:36Speaker 5: always appreciate it be here and especially talking about this
- 6:39Speaker 5: topic because I really feel as if the mortgage business
- 6:43Speaker 5: saved my life. You know, twenty plus years ago, college dropout,
- 6:47Speaker 5: didn't really know what I was going to do with
- 6:48Speaker 5: my life to be honest with you. And my best
- 6:50Speaker 5: friend who's a pastor who's also going to be a
- 6:53Speaker 5: tost best fill up, Anthony Mitchell probably probably the most
- 6:57Speaker 5: viral pastor in America in twenty two, twenty five. You know,
- 7:01Speaker 5: we grew up together and he's the one who told
- 7:04Speaker 5: me to become a loan officer. And in fact, I thought,
- 7:07Speaker 5: you know, he's trying to tell me be a cop.
- 7:08Speaker 5: At first, I'm like, I was a loan officer. Bro, Like,
- 7:11Speaker 5: I'm not being no cop. He's like, nah, you know,
- 7:13Speaker 5: it's the people who give people a mortgage. I didn't
- 7:18Speaker 5: even know what a mortgage was, right, He was like,
- 7:20Speaker 5: it's a loan that people get to buy a house with.
- 7:23Speaker 5: And this was two thousand and three and I've been
- 7:26Speaker 5: in the industry ever since. And it changed the trajectory
- 7:29Speaker 5: of my life, my children's life. You know, I have
- 7:31Speaker 5: you know, shout out to Brooks. She's in college right now.
- 7:33Speaker 5: She has no student loans. And you know, my son's
- 7:37Speaker 5: graduated high school this month and he's going to go
- 7:39Speaker 5: to college with no student loans. So it's been able
- 7:42Speaker 5: to set up a trajectory in my life that I
- 7:45Speaker 5: was able to break generational curses, not just from a
- 7:47Speaker 5: home ownership standpoint, just from a financial standpoint. And it
- 7:50Speaker 5: was being in a mortgage business. So when people look
- 7:53Speaker 5: to get into this business, they look at being a
- 7:56Speaker 5: real estate agent. Right. When you have all these shows
- 7:59Speaker 5: that highlight selling homes, right, you have the million dollar listings,
- 8:03Speaker 5: you have the Ryan Surhans of the world. Right, all
- 8:06Speaker 5: these shows glorified being the real estate agent. The real
- 8:10Speaker 5: estate agent is the rock star. But guess what, ladies
- 8:12Speaker 5: and gentlemen. I hate to be the bear of bad news,
- 8:14Speaker 5: but these folks are getting loans, right. These folks are
- 8:18Speaker 5: not sitting out here buying all these properties all cash,
- 8:21Speaker 5: no matter what the TV will tell you. Right, people
- 8:24Speaker 5: are getting finance. And it has to be someone that's
- 8:27Speaker 5: doing a loan. And that's basically what I do. But
- 8:31Speaker 5: we don't get the credit, we don't get the recognition
- 8:35Speaker 5: as loan officers because we're pretty much people think of us.
- 8:38Speaker 5: We're just stuck behind the computer in the bank.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:43Speaker 5: And with platforms like Earn Your Leisure giving me an
- 8:47Speaker 5: opportunity to talk about my genius, which is real estate finance,
- 8:51Speaker 5: and it's put us now on a platform to where
- 8:54Speaker 5: people are now being influenced by me and now getting
- 8:57Speaker 5: into the industry. I can't tell you, guys, over the
- 8:59Speaker 5: past six seven years how many people said they got
- 9:02Speaker 5: into the mortgage business because of I releasure podcasts. I'm
- 9:07Speaker 5: watching me on the podcast. So I wanted to have
- 9:09Speaker 5: that conversation that kind of to the audience to kind
- 9:12Speaker 5: of break down like, look, this is the route. If
- 9:15Speaker 5: you want to get into real estate and you might
- 9:17Speaker 5: not have all the money to buy your first home
- 9:21Speaker 5: a duplex, buy investment properties, you should really get into
- 9:25Speaker 5: the mortgage industry. And it doesn't take much for you
- 9:29Speaker 5: to do so. You have to be eighteen years or older,
- 9:33Speaker 5: have no felonies on your record. Take a twenty hour
- 9:38Speaker 5: pre licensing education exam. It's called the Safe Act, the
- 9:42Speaker 5: Safe Exam, right, and it's only twenty hours, right, think
- 9:45Speaker 5: about twenty hours. That's three days if you go to
- 9:48Speaker 5: class in person doing so work.
- 9:52Speaker 3: To walk me through the process. Like if I myself
- 9:54Speaker 3: wanting to do this today, right, I'm not. I can't
- 9:56Speaker 3: take a twenty hour test because I don't know what's
- 9:58Speaker 3: on the information. So okay, is it a self study?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Like is it like a Capitlin thing where you could
- 10:03Speaker 3: actually buy a course to help you study for the
- 10:06Speaker 3: test and then take the test online.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Good question, So you can do it in person or virtually. Right,
- 10:12Speaker 5: if you do it in person, you can do it.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Break that twenty hours into Most schools will offer it
- 10:18Speaker 5: just in a week. Right, you can break it that
- 10:20Speaker 5: twenty hours until a week. But if you do it
- 10:22Speaker 5: online you could do it self study. They'll probably give
- 10:25Speaker 5: you two to three weeks to complete that twenty hours.
- 10:29Speaker 5: So whatever floats your boat, you can do it. The
- 10:32Speaker 5: investment to get into this twenty hour class is going
- 10:36Speaker 5: to cost you around five six hundred dollars only.
- 10:38Speaker 3: And then so you're learning as you're taking the test, so.
- 10:41Speaker 5: You're learning the laws. Right, So the licensing exam is
- 10:45Speaker 5: going to teach you the laws. It's not going to
- 10:47Speaker 5: teach you sales. It's not going to teach you product knowledge.
- 10:50Speaker 5: It's going to teach you the laws. So that way
- 10:52Speaker 5: you don't commit fraud and get locked up. Period. Very important,
- 10:56Speaker 5: very extremely important. Here at earn your Leision Network, we
- 10:59Speaker 5: do not promote mortgage fraud or any type of fraud
- 11:01Speaker 5: at all. Right, so this is going to teach you
- 11:06Speaker 5: how to keep yourself out of jail, do the right thing.
- 11:09Speaker 5: But it's only twenty hours Fellas, it's not a long
- 11:12Speaker 5: time in retrospect. So once you pass the class, then
- 11:17Speaker 5: you have to take the federal exam. The federal exam
- 11:22Speaker 5: is probably a couple hours long. Let's just call it
- 11:25Speaker 5: two hours long. I haven't taken it in ten fifteen years,
- 11:28Speaker 5: but it's probably like two hours two hours to three
- 11:31Speaker 5: hours long. And you have up to three chances to
- 11:34Speaker 5: take the federal exam. If you fail three times, then
- 11:38Speaker 5: you have to wait I think six to twelve months
- 11:40Speaker 5: before you can retake it again. But the key is
- 11:44Speaker 5: before you take your federal exam, you should take practice
- 11:48Speaker 5: practice exams right because they mimic exactly what's going to
- 11:51Speaker 5: be on a federal exam. And once you start getting
- 11:53Speaker 5: over seventy five to eighty consistently, then you're ready to
- 11:56Speaker 5: take that federal exam. But once you pass the federal exam,
- 12:00Speaker 5: then boom. You have to now find a lender or
- 12:04Speaker 5: a mortgage broker that's going to sponsor your license, and
- 12:09Speaker 5: then your license will be issued. Depending on the state,
- 12:12Speaker 5: it can take anywhere up to thirty days to six months,
- 12:17Speaker 5: like New York is the slowest. I think New York
- 12:19Speaker 5: is the slowest with everything in life. Right, to get
- 12:22Speaker 5: your New York license, from the time you submit to
- 12:24Speaker 5: the time they approve it, it can take about six
- 12:26Speaker 5: to eight months, but states like New Jersey, Florida, Georgia
- 12:32Speaker 5: you can get those within thirty days tops. But the
- 12:36Speaker 5: key to all of this you have to work for
- 12:39Speaker 5: a mortgage lender or a mortgage broker that are licensed
- 12:44Speaker 5: in these states. So it's a wonderful career path for
- 12:49Speaker 5: anyone who likes numbers, who likes customer service, and does sales.
- 12:56Speaker 5: So if you are currently a CPA, even if you're
- 12:59Speaker 5: a current real estate agent, you can have your real
- 13:01Speaker 5: estate license and your mortgage license simultaneously so you can
- 13:05Speaker 5: do both sides of the transaction. You can't do both
- 13:08Speaker 5: sides of the transaction if you are doing an FHA deal,
- 13:12Speaker 5: but if you're doing conventional deals, you're doing commercial deals
- 13:16Speaker 5: investment properties, you can be the relta and the loan
- 13:20Speaker 5: officer on that same transaction and you can double depth, right,
- 13:24Speaker 5: which a lot of people don't understand. So if you're
- 13:28Speaker 5: a CPA, if you're car salesman, if you're a customer
- 13:30Speaker 5: service rep, if you work in one of these department stores.
- 13:33Speaker 5: These are all good jobs that translate very well in
- 13:39Speaker 5: the mortgage industry.
- 13:40Speaker 4: So once I passed that I got my license, somebody
- 13:43Speaker 4: has now sponsored me. Do I ever have to renew
- 13:45Speaker 4: my license? Or am I good? And then I guess
- 13:47Speaker 4: the two fold question. The most important part is like
- 13:50Speaker 4: how do I make money? You talked about agents, and
- 13:53Speaker 4: we watch these shows and I'm guilty of it as well,
- 13:55Speaker 4: and we watched that they get commissioned from the sale.
- 13:58Speaker 2: How does that work for somebody in.
- 14:01Speaker 5: So the answer the first part of that question is yes,
- 14:03Speaker 5: you have to renew on an annual basis. You have
- 14:05Speaker 5: to do continual education every single year. So the more
- 14:10Speaker 5: licenses that you have under your belt, the more continual
- 14:14Speaker 5: education you have to do annually. Some states you have
- 14:16Speaker 5: to do two hours, some states you have to do
- 14:18Speaker 5: three hours, and it has to all will be done
- 14:20Speaker 5: before December thirty first of that calendar year. Right, So
- 14:25Speaker 5: you can hold your license in multiple states. So let's
- 14:27Speaker 5: just say, for example, we're based in New York. I've
- 14:30Speaker 5: worked for a New York based company, but the company
- 14:33Speaker 5: is licensed nationwide. I can hold an individual loan office
- 14:38Speaker 5: an mL license in each of those states that the
- 14:41Speaker 5: company that I work for work for is also licensing
- 14:45Speaker 5: because they can sponsor me in each of those states.
- 14:47Speaker 5: But if I have fifty licenses, right, for example, then
- 14:50Speaker 5: I have to do fifty continual educations, right, So it
- 14:55Speaker 5: can get very costly too. So now every time you
- 14:57Speaker 5: go to submit your license, depending on the state, now
- 15:00Speaker 5: it can cost you three to five hundred dollars for
- 15:04Speaker 5: file and fees, state license and fees, things of that nature.
- 15:06Speaker 5: So it can add up, especially when you're doing continuation.
- 15:09Speaker 5: So you don't want to get licensed all across America.
- 15:12Speaker 5: That's number one. So yeah, to answer your question, you
- 15:16Speaker 5: have to maintain your license with doing annual continual education. Now,
- 15:20Speaker 5: how do you make money in this business? That's the
- 15:22Speaker 5: million dollar question. Every loan officer has a comp plan,
- 15:26Speaker 5: a compensation plan, and depending on where you work, right,
- 15:30Speaker 5: whether it's a mortgage company, a mortgage broker, everybody's comp
- 15:34Speaker 5: plan is going to be different. But on average, I
- 15:36Speaker 5: would say the average loan officer comp plan can be
- 15:39Speaker 5: around one point or one hundred basis points or one
- 15:44Speaker 5: hundred BIPs as we say in my industry. Right, So
- 15:48Speaker 5: in layman terms, every million dollars that you close, you'll
- 15:52Speaker 5: make one percent of that, which is ten thousand dollars.
- 15:55Speaker 5: So think about this, right, we live in a world
- 15:58Speaker 5: where home prices or go rocking a nationwide. I mean,
- 16:02Speaker 5: if you look in your neighborhood, the average price is
- 16:04Speaker 5: over a million dollars here in New York. If you
- 16:08Speaker 5: do one deal a month at a million dollars, that's
- 16:11Speaker 5: ten thousand dollars in commission that you can make, even
- 16:14Speaker 5: if you live in a state where the average price
- 16:16Speaker 5: is not a million dollars. Right, let's just say it's
- 16:19Speaker 5: four hundred thousand. Every four hundred thousand dollar deal you
- 16:22Speaker 5: do is four thousand dollars. You do two deals a month,
- 16:25Speaker 5: eight hundred thousand dollars in loan value every single month,
- 16:28Speaker 5: that's eight eight thousand dollars a month. Times that by twelve,
- 16:31Speaker 5: that's a six figure career. Now, most people in America
- 16:34Speaker 5: are not making six figures. But I guarantee you everybody
- 16:38Speaker 5: who's watching this no more than twenty people who probably
- 16:40Speaker 5: purchased a home in the last twelve to eighteen months. Right,
- 16:44Speaker 5: So it's an opportunity for folks, especially those who are
- 16:49Speaker 5: looking to make more money, right, those who are stuck
- 16:52Speaker 5: at jobs that they hate, that they are not being fulfilled.
- 16:57Speaker 5: This is a career opportunity where you can people but
- 17:01Speaker 5: earn at the same time learn and then also now
- 17:05Speaker 5: achieve your goals with it.
- 17:07Speaker 4: The country that has to follow up really quickly, So
- 17:09Speaker 4: I can't do that independently. Right that that company that
- 17:12Speaker 4: sponsored me, that brokerage, I have to stay with them
- 17:15Speaker 4: for I would assume a certain amount of time. So
- 17:16Speaker 4: I build my own business. And at what point can
- 17:20Speaker 4: you turn this into an independent situation?
- 17:22Speaker 5: Yeah? Absolutely, so you can definitely become your own independent
- 17:26Speaker 5: mortgage broker. You have to get your mortgage broker license
- 17:30Speaker 5: and then once you get your mortgage broker license, you
- 17:32Speaker 5: can open up your own shop. Now, obviously you don't
- 17:36Speaker 5: want to do You don't want to get your own
- 17:37Speaker 5: broker license with no booker business, right because it just
- 17:40Speaker 5: defeasts the purpose. Why open up if you ain't You
- 17:43Speaker 5: ain't got the money to keep up your overhead. Now
- 17:46Speaker 5: it's going to be a little bit more expensive because
- 17:48Speaker 5: you have compliance you have as an owner of the company,
- 17:51Speaker 5: you have a little bit more that you have to
- 17:53Speaker 5: invest into it. But if you have a good solid
- 17:55Speaker 5: book of business. I think if you work in this
- 17:57Speaker 5: industry for two three years, build a solid book of business.
- 18:01Speaker 5: And if you're unhappy with the companies that you work
- 18:04Speaker 5: on you want to create your own destiny, then by
- 18:07Speaker 5: all means, get your mortgage broker license and open up shop.
- 18:10Speaker 5: And you know, in Rock and Roll, you know there's
- 18:13Speaker 5: a lot of people out there that choose to go
- 18:15Speaker 5: that route. Me personally, I haven't opened up my own
- 18:18Speaker 5: broken shop because I make the majority of the money
- 18:21Speaker 5: right now without the compliance and without the risk of
- 18:27Speaker 5: owning a company. So you got to understand when you're
- 18:29Speaker 5: in this business. Because of the crash that happened a
- 18:32Speaker 5: great recession, there's a lot of rules and regulations on
- 18:36Speaker 5: the mortgage side. So for me, it's just from a
- 18:40Speaker 5: financial perspective, it doesn't benefit me to quote unquote own
- 18:45Speaker 5: the company. I just negotiate good deals to where I
- 18:49Speaker 5: can get the line shared and I can participate in
- 18:51Speaker 5: some of the back end secondary market stuff that you know,
- 18:54Speaker 5: that's a whole other topic for a whole nother day,
- 18:56Speaker 5: but but you know, it's very lucrative mean in my
- 19:01Speaker 5: role for me to eat that way and not have
- 19:04Speaker 5: the risk that's associated with ownership. But yes, you can
- 19:07Speaker 5: do that.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Not true, Yeah, no, that was great. I mean because
- 19:10Speaker 3: you know about trades a lot as far as you know,
- 19:14Speaker 3: we need electricians, we need plumbers, but we also need
- 19:17Speaker 3: people that's in these type of professions, right like we
- 19:20Speaker 3: need loan officers, and that's something that you can actually,
- 19:24Speaker 3: you know, do make six figures a year potentially and
- 19:26Speaker 3: still do something else as well, still invest in real estate,
- 19:29Speaker 3: still still trade stock, still be an entrepreneur. So when
- 19:32Speaker 3: we're just looking at the New Age economy as far
- 19:35Speaker 3: as you know, where people are going to actually be needed.
- 19:40Speaker 3: As of right now, we still need loan officers. Like
- 19:42Speaker 3: AI hasn't taken that job. So that's something that you
- 19:45Speaker 3: can actually do and doesn't you don't have to have
- 19:48Speaker 3: a master's degree in real estate to figure this out,
- 19:51Speaker 3: like you can actually you know, if you got some hustle,
- 19:54Speaker 3: some with about yourself, you can you can make some money.
- 19:56Speaker 3: So we're going to talk about the real estate side
- 19:58Speaker 3: as far as you know, the and stuff like that,
- 20:00Speaker 3: but wanted to lead with that because that's something that
- 20:04Speaker 3: it might not be as sexy, but that's that's important
- 20:07Speaker 3: to have that information that you know, you can go
- 20:10Speaker 3: down that path and at least have some income while
- 20:13Speaker 3: you're trying to figure things out.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's important. One thing you just saverish
- 20:18Speaker 5: out is very important is representation. Right when you go
- 20:21Speaker 5: into these banks, you don't see too many people that
- 20:23Speaker 5: look like us. When you look at the average loan
- 20:27Speaker 5: off for certain America, we are the smallest percentage of
- 20:30Speaker 5: people that are out here right and loans and there's
- 20:34Speaker 5: a lot of you know us. You know, the black
- 20:35Speaker 5: home ownership rate is starting to increase gradually. Right, we're
- 20:39Speaker 5: at forty four percent, which is still the lowest, but
- 20:42Speaker 5: you have to also look at that as the opportunity too, Right,
- 20:45Speaker 5: we have the lowest home ownership rate, and when we
- 20:47Speaker 5: have platforms like EYL, that's teaching us all about stocks
- 20:51Speaker 5: and options and how to run these different plays where
- 20:54Speaker 5: you're going to dump your money for the tax taven
- 20:56Speaker 5: real estate. Right, So it's an opportunity for us to
- 21:00Speaker 5: get into this business and honestly take it over and
- 21:03Speaker 5: help a lot of us become owners. And the more
- 21:07Speaker 5: you learn, the more you earn at the end of
- 21:09Speaker 5: the day. So if you take the real estate finance
- 21:12Speaker 5: in side. Seriously, you're going to be a hell of
- 21:15Speaker 5: an investor too, because you want to know how to
- 21:17Speaker 5: fund your deals. You're going to know the banks that
- 21:19Speaker 5: are doing this type of deal versus that type of
- 21:22Speaker 5: deal where the average real estate agent and all honest
- 21:24Speaker 5: and there is no disrespect to my realtors. I love y'all,
- 21:27Speaker 5: but most real estate agents, most real estate agents don't
- 21:31Speaker 5: have a clue about real estate finance and which banks
- 21:34Speaker 5: can do what and do it very well. So if
- 21:37Speaker 5: you are looking for a career that, like you said,
- 21:40Speaker 5: can make six figures, can make seven figures, can fund
- 21:44Speaker 5: your lifestyle and help you get into the real estate
- 21:47Speaker 5: investing aspect of things, look no further than invest in
- 21:51Speaker 5: less than a thousand dollars into getting your licenses and
- 21:54Speaker 5: getting your license sponsored by a mortgage mortgage broker and
- 21:57Speaker 5: come over to the dark side to come get some
- 21:59Speaker 5: of this money and help our people win.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Fat So, okay, we're going to get into it. But
- 22:06Speaker 3: first investst I talked about the lineup. We are doing
- 22:11Speaker 3: a special raffle for this week only. It started on Monday.
- 22:16Speaker 3: We announced it on Market Mondays and it's running to Sunday,
- 22:20Speaker 3: June twenty second. So every single person this week up
- 22:24Speaker 3: and you have up until Sunday. If you buy a
- 22:27Speaker 3: general admission ticket, you will get access to Matt's Home
- 22:32Speaker 3: Buyers program and he teaches teaches actually the steps of
- 22:38Speaker 3: house hacking. You could probably explain it better than not.
- 22:41Speaker 5: Get Yeah, so let's house hacked. The Freedom Program. It's
- 22:45Speaker 5: a six week live course that I'm doing currently right now.
- 22:51Speaker 5: We're in as we're filming this, we're in week three
- 22:54Speaker 5: of it. So you'll get access to the replace. You know,
- 22:58Speaker 5: once the raffle is over, our give everybody access and
- 23:01Speaker 5: you'll have access to the first three weeks, but you'll
- 23:04Speaker 5: be able to join me for the following three weeks
- 23:07Speaker 5: live every Tuesday, eight pm Eastern Standard time, and I
- 23:11Speaker 5: go for about two hours. Like week one, I went
- 23:13Speaker 5: for three and a half hours. It was crazy, But
- 23:16Speaker 5: I'm teaching everything about house hacking. You know, the four
- 23:20Speaker 5: three two one strategy, where that's the strategy where you
- 23:22Speaker 5: can get up to ten ten doors and four years.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I'm talking about another different strategy that we'll talk about
- 23:29Speaker 5: on this program today, and we're talking from tax, tax benefits, credit,
- 23:36Speaker 5: how to boosh your credit business funding, how to find properties,
- 23:40Speaker 5: how to analyze deals like an investor. So there's a
- 23:43Speaker 5: lot that's being covered in the six weeks. You know,
- 23:46Speaker 5: it's going to be damnar fifteen hours of content once
- 23:49Speaker 5: it's all said and done, So it's going to be
- 23:52Speaker 5: a lot of information for anyone who's looking to scale
- 23:55Speaker 5: their real estate portfolio and getting the game and learn
- 23:58Speaker 5: how to do it the right way in twenty twenty
- 24:01Speaker 5: five going into twenty twenty six. And then we also
- 24:03Speaker 5: have a community aspect to it, where folks are in
- 24:06Speaker 5: the community, they're engaged there, they're pushing each other, and
- 24:09Speaker 5: you know, everybody have the same life mind. Everybody's trying
- 24:12Speaker 5: to get doors right. Affordability is a big issue in
- 24:15Speaker 5: America today, and the best way to buy real estate,
- 24:19Speaker 5: in my opinion, is if you're house hacking right now.
- 24:22Speaker 5: So the house Hacked the Freedom program is all about
- 24:25Speaker 5: helping you guys achieve freedom, freedom in four to five
- 24:28Speaker 5: years through real estate.
- 24:30Speaker 3: So everybody that buys a ticket gets access to that.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Then the wrathful part is that three people will be
- 24:38Speaker 3: selected and those three people will get upgraded to VIP tickets,
- 24:43Speaker 3: and then two people will be upgraded to Platinum VIP
- 24:48Speaker 3: tickets and then one person will the grand prize win
- 24:54Speaker 3: it will get a round trip for two people to
- 24:59Speaker 3: Ghana that includes flight, hotels, meals, the excursions, cultural experiences,
- 25:08Speaker 3: you name it. Toward Somber City. You're getting the whole
- 25:12Speaker 3: six days, six days in the Motherland. And all you
- 25:16Speaker 3: have to do is buy a ticket. And the question
- 25:18Speaker 3: is okay, if I already purchased a ticket, if you
- 25:20Speaker 3: already purchased a ticket, you will be entered into the
- 25:22Speaker 3: raffle also, and if you already purchased a ticket, you
- 25:25Speaker 3: will get access to the home buys blueprint thought I mean,
- 25:27Speaker 3: I'm sorry, you will get access to the community house,
- 25:31Speaker 3: hacked to Freedom community and VIP people. Don't worry. We
- 25:35Speaker 3: got something for you guys coming up a couple of weeks.
- 25:38Speaker 3: For general admission.
- 25:41Speaker 4: That's what the GA stands for. I know some people
- 25:42Speaker 4: were confused. They thought that I bought a ticket and
- 25:46Speaker 4: I lived in Georgia. Oh DA was for general admission.

- 29:03Speaker 3: if you if you buy vendor booth, you'll be entered
- 29:05Speaker 3: into the rapper also. Okay, so let's talk about house hacking.
- 29:11Speaker 3: I am I Am. I posted on Instagram earlier this morning.
- 29:14Speaker 3: So I am going to talk a little bit at
- 29:16Speaker 3: the end about the China play that's like the added bonus,
- 29:20Speaker 3: because I've been getting a lot of questions about that. Please,
- 29:24Speaker 3: But let's let's talk about some house hacking. Right, you
- 29:28Speaker 3: have a new strategy.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Yeah, so with the house hacking, and I kind of
- 29:34Speaker 5: go into a lot of details about this in the
- 29:36Speaker 5: program as well, but I give you guys a little
- 29:39Speaker 5: preview of it. Let's call a spat of spade. Right,
- 29:44Speaker 5: over eighty five percent of US homes are either single
- 29:47Speaker 5: family or duplax. So I know you guys heard me
- 29:50Speaker 5: talk about four three two one all the time, but
- 29:54Speaker 5: that's just not reality for the majority of America. But
- 29:59Speaker 5: just because you can't get a three or four family,
- 30:02Speaker 5: it doesn't mean you can't build wealth with the strategy. Right.
- 30:07Speaker 5: So the strategy is the two two two one method. Right,
- 30:12Speaker 5: start with one house, scale to six to eight doors. Now,
- 30:15Speaker 5: this is perfect for areas like if you're in Georgia,
- 30:19Speaker 5: if you're in Texas, if you're in the South, right,
- 30:22Speaker 5: you're going to have a lot of duplexes in these areas. Right,
- 30:26Speaker 5: So the strategy, and you guys can screenshot this if
- 30:30Speaker 5: you're watching this right now, screenshot it and you can
- 30:33Speaker 5: go through it later. But the strategy is, you buy duplex,
- 30:36Speaker 5: live in one unit, rent the other one. Right. You
- 30:38Speaker 5: can use FAHA loan three and a half percent down,
- 30:41Speaker 5: or you can use a conventional loan with five percent down.
- 30:44Speaker 5: The ten is going to cover the most the majority
- 30:48Speaker 5: of your mortgage or all of the mortgagees depending on
- 30:50Speaker 5: what type of rental strategy you're gonna use. But the
- 30:53Speaker 5: goal is again, live in one living this four year,
- 30:57Speaker 5: maybe two years, just depending on you're living situation in life, right,
- 31:02Speaker 5: and then you go into the next property and you
- 31:05Speaker 5: just repeat the process. Now a lot of people will
- 31:08Speaker 5: probably look at this and say, man, I know you
- 31:09Speaker 5: talk four three two one, so why can't we do
- 31:12Speaker 5: four four four four to one. It's more difficult to
- 31:16Speaker 5: go from one four family to another because then the
- 31:19Speaker 5: underwriters are going to really look at like where is
- 31:23Speaker 5: that four family located, the size of the four family,
- 31:27Speaker 5: and et cetera, et cetera. So it's much easier to
- 31:30Speaker 5: do a two to two because most areas that have
- 31:33Speaker 5: that are dominated with duplexes. These are all in good areas.
- 31:36Speaker 5: If you have a lot of four families, most of
- 31:39Speaker 5: these are more so in the hood. So what's really
- 31:41Speaker 5: the motivation from moving to one hood spot to another
- 31:44Speaker 5: hood spot? And it's basically in the same neighborhood. When
- 31:47Speaker 5: you what I see around America with the duplexus, they
- 31:52Speaker 5: are positioned, you know, in high quality, good areas, So
- 31:56Speaker 5: it's a little bit easier to say, hey, move from
- 32:00Speaker 5: a different area, different school district, et cetera, a better neighborhood,
- 32:03Speaker 5: bigger apartment. It makes more sense. So this is a
- 32:07Speaker 5: strategy that I've done for years with you know, hundreds
- 32:11Speaker 5: of my clients, and they've scaled and built their portfolio
- 32:16Speaker 5: this way. So again, you guys, take a screenshot. I'm
- 32:20Speaker 5: not gonna you can kind of go through this on
- 32:22Speaker 5: your own. But the truth of it is, you don't
- 32:25Speaker 5: need a three or four unit to build wealth. You
- 32:27Speaker 5: just need intentional buying and creative monetization with strategic reinvestment
- 32:33Speaker 5: to build wealth in real estate. Now, if you do
- 32:37Speaker 5: the single family and duplex house hat play, short term
- 32:42Speaker 5: rental income is probably going to be the key to
- 32:45Speaker 5: your success. Now, first of all, I'm gonna tell you, guys,
- 32:48Speaker 5: check your rules and your regulations when it comes to
- 32:51Speaker 5: short term rentals like Airbnb and things like that, because
- 32:54Speaker 5: these rules and regulations have been trained in nationwide, city
- 32:58Speaker 5: to city, so you want to make sure that that
- 33:00Speaker 5: you're meeting all the compliance and guidelines of your area.
- 33:03Speaker 5: But the average daily rate as of August of twenty
- 33:09Speaker 5: twenty four for short term rentals in the US was
- 33:12Speaker 5: about three hundred and twenty nine dollars a night right
- 33:16Speaker 5: and in twenty twenty five short term rental occupancy rates
- 33:21Speaker 5: from sites like AIRDNA, And you guys can go to
- 33:24Speaker 5: AIRDNA and look up all the stats of yourself. They're
- 33:28Speaker 5: all rebounding. So this is an opportunity for you guys
- 33:33Speaker 5: to go out here and buy these type of properties
- 33:38Speaker 5: and use short term rental hacks, use mid term rental
- 33:41Speaker 5: hacks to create more revenue. Now, in twenty twenty four,
- 33:47Speaker 5: the average revenue for a short term rental hosts was
- 33:51Speaker 5: around thirty six thousand dollars a year. Now, depending on
- 33:55Speaker 5: your mortgage loan amount, interest rates, and your payment, if
- 33:59Speaker 5: you're able to generate about thirty six thousand on average
- 34:03Speaker 5: a year, this is going to pay majority of your
- 34:07Speaker 5: mortgage for the year. And then you guys, you have
- 34:11Speaker 5: you have things out there, like if you have a
- 34:13Speaker 5: swimming pool. I'm not sure if you guys, have you
- 34:16Speaker 5: ever heard her think called swimpleing.
- 34:19Speaker 2: No, is that when you rent the pool, you.
- 34:21Speaker 5: Can rent you can rent your you can rent out
- 34:22Speaker 5: your backyard, right, you can run out your backyard. You
- 34:26Speaker 5: can run out your pool like I have one of
- 34:28Speaker 5: my mentees every year she rents out her backyard, her
- 34:31Speaker 5: pool here in New York, and it pays her mortgage
- 34:35Speaker 5: for the year. Like it's incredible, right because people treat
- 34:40Speaker 5: that like an event space for the day. Right. So
- 34:44Speaker 5: you can have somebody's backyard for eight to ten hours
- 34:47Speaker 5: and you're paying two three hundred dollars an hour for
- 34:51Speaker 5: the full use of their backyard and the swimming pool.
- 34:54Speaker 5: So there's so many different ways to house hack and
- 34:58Speaker 5: generate money with the same family or a duplex to
- 35:02Speaker 5: make it more affordable. Now, also, here's another thing that
- 35:06Speaker 5: people don't really realize is that border income, aka if
- 35:12Speaker 5: you have a roommate. What people don't know is Fanny
- 35:15Speaker 5: May will allow you to use this border income to
- 35:18Speaker 5: help you qualify for a mortgage under the Fannie Main
- 35:22Speaker 5: Home Ready program. Now, the requirements is the borrower must
- 35:26Speaker 5: have a history of receiving that rental income for at
- 35:30Speaker 5: least nine of the past twelve months, and you need
- 35:34Speaker 5: documentation such as your lease agreement and show proof or
- 35:38Speaker 5: receipt that your roommate has been paying you to or
- 35:43Speaker 5: since y'all live in an apartment together. And then you
- 35:45Speaker 5: can use that income to help you qualify for a mortgage.
- 35:49Speaker 5: So to break that down just in quick layman terms,
- 35:52Speaker 5: if you are living with someone right now and you
- 35:55Speaker 5: have a lease and they're on the lease with you,
- 35:57Speaker 5: if they're your bona fide roommate, not just someone who
- 35:59Speaker 5: just in the house and you say, hey, they live here, No,
- 36:03Speaker 5: they have to be on your lease. If you know
- 36:05Speaker 5: you are in position to qualify for a mortgage faster
- 36:09Speaker 5: than they are, what you should do is collect the
- 36:12Speaker 5: money their portion of the rent money from them, tell
- 36:16Speaker 5: them to zeale it to you, cash ap it, whatever
- 36:19Speaker 5: it is, and make sure you put that is on
- 36:23Speaker 5: the memo January's rent, February's rent, March rent, right, so
- 36:27Speaker 5: we can document it that they've been paying you, and
- 36:30Speaker 5: then you go ahead and pay your landlord from your account.
- 36:34Speaker 5: If you do that nine months out of the past twelve,
- 36:39Speaker 5: then when you go qualify for your mortgage, you can
- 36:43Speaker 5: use that rental income as part of your income to
- 36:47Speaker 5: help you qualify for your mortgage. Y'all got one, I'm
- 36:50Speaker 5: going with this.
- 36:51Speaker 4: I see where you're going with this. Documentation is important.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Making sure you're keeping records is important, and that goes
- 36:58Speaker 4: if you're buying an individual but even more so in
- 37:00Speaker 4: this situation when you're trying to have investment property.
- 37:03Speaker 3: So you might you've unlocked something here. Let's go back
- 37:06Speaker 3: a little bit. Oh all right, if you're in a
- 37:10Speaker 3: relationship with somebody, right, and we talked about fifty to
- 37:15Speaker 3: fifty a lot right on these different shows and podcasts.
- 37:19Speaker 3: But that's a real thing though, where somebody lives with
- 37:23Speaker 3: somebody and they're contributing. They're contributing to something, but most
- 37:28Speaker 3: of the time they're just giving a person money. So
- 37:30Speaker 3: it's usually either male or female. Somebody has a lease
- 37:33Speaker 3: in their name and they meet somebody and after a while,
- 37:37Speaker 3: and then that person just kind of ends up living
- 37:39Speaker 3: with that person. They may not never be on the lease, correct,
- 37:42Speaker 3: And they're contributing financially on a certain level, but there's
- 37:47Speaker 3: no real documented record of them contributing financially.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Correct.
- 37:51Speaker 3: You're saying that boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever, you're living with somebody,
- 37:57Speaker 3: that should be something that's documented because if it is documented,
- 38:02Speaker 3: and what is it called, so.
- 38:04Speaker 5: It's border income. Right. So if in that same situation
- 38:09Speaker 5: you have the girlfriend, let's just say the boyfriend and
- 38:12Speaker 5: the girlfriend moves in, right, Let's say that situation, the
- 38:16Speaker 5: lease is in the boyfriend's name. But y'all splitting it
- 38:19Speaker 5: fifty to fifty. As Rashad said, the girlfriend is not
- 38:23Speaker 5: on the lease. Boyfriend is in position a year from
- 38:28Speaker 5: now he wants to go buy a house for them
- 38:30Speaker 5: to live in. He should now put her on the
- 38:34Speaker 5: lease of the apartment. And then now when she's making
- 38:38Speaker 5: that contribution, don't make it on make it cash. She
- 38:41Speaker 5: should zeal him a wire transfer, a cash app put
- 38:47Speaker 5: on the memo it's for her portion of the rent
- 38:51Speaker 5: as long as we have that document nine out of
- 38:54Speaker 5: twelve months. And then now the boyfriend goes to get
- 38:57Speaker 5: pre approved and says that, hey, this is my roommate.
- 39:02Speaker 5: She is going to live in the house with me. Now,
- 39:06Speaker 5: from a lending perspective, I can use the portion of
- 39:11Speaker 5: that rental income that she's paying. Let's just say it's
- 39:13Speaker 5: one thousand dollars a month.
- 39:15Speaker 4: I was going to say, clean number, one thousand dollars
- 39:17Speaker 4: a month, right, wee on the member. I'm putting five
- 39:20Speaker 4: hundred dollars in toward that.
- 39:22Speaker 2: At the end of the year.
- 39:23Speaker 4: Let's say it's the twelve months. Now it's an additional
- 39:25Speaker 4: six thousand dollars that you have an income.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Correct that's now is going to be used for the
- 39:30Speaker 5: boyfriend doing his prey approval to help them qualify for
- 39:34Speaker 5: more of a house. It's a clean way of qualifying
- 39:42Speaker 5: with using this roommate income because your roommates. Right at
- 39:48Speaker 5: the end of the day, you're not legally married. You know,
- 39:51Speaker 5: you're technically single in the eyes of the law. Boyfriend
- 39:55Speaker 5: and girlfriend is not a marital status r either last
- 40:01Speaker 5: time I checked. So you're legally single. This is your roommates.
- 40:04Speaker 5: So if you do it that way, now that rental
- 40:08Speaker 5: income can now be used to help qualify for a mortgage. Now,
- 40:13Speaker 5: I know some people are going to say, why won't
- 40:15Speaker 5: she just go on the mortgage with him this Now
- 40:19Speaker 5: we talk about divide and conquer. Let's just say now
- 40:23Speaker 5: they move into this house, they get approved, and they
- 40:26Speaker 5: wind up separating. Right now, she doesn't have a mortgage
- 40:31Speaker 5: in her name. She can still go out here and
- 40:35Speaker 5: buy a duplex, a single family and house hack her
- 40:39Speaker 5: life away as well. So, just depending on your circumstances
- 40:43Speaker 5: in your situation, if you understand real estate finance and
- 40:47Speaker 5: in these programs that are out there, and if you
- 40:49Speaker 5: set your documentation up the right way, you can really
- 40:53Speaker 5: go out here and scale at a very high level
- 40:56Speaker 5: and reap all the benefits of wealth building with real estate.
- 41:00Speaker 5: If you know exactly what you're doing.
- 41:03Speaker 2: That's a very vital play man. I never heard that.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I'm glad you brote that down before.
- 41:07Speaker 3: It doesn't have to be boyfriend girlfriend either, because there's
- 41:10Speaker 3: a lot of scenario. Somebody lives with somebody.
- 41:12Speaker 5: It could just be your college roommates, or it could
- 41:15Speaker 5: could it be parent child, No, it can't be parent
- 41:18Speaker 5: a child. Right, But let's think about college roommates. Think
- 41:22Speaker 5: about what's just happened to manage you. And we have
- 41:24Speaker 5: all these college graduates, right, most of them have what
- 41:27Speaker 5: roommates for the majority. So, first of all, if you
- 41:32Speaker 5: just graduated college, congratulations, right, but did you know that
- 41:35Speaker 5: you can use your college education as your work history.
- 41:40Speaker 5: You don't need a two year job history. You can
- 41:42Speaker 5: use your college history as work history. Did you guys
- 41:46Speaker 5: know that?
- 41:47Speaker 3: See that again?
- 41:48Speaker 5: So you just graduated from college, you did your undergrad
- 41:51Speaker 5: right four years you're twenty two years old. You're graduating.
- 41:56Speaker 5: You just got a job offer from you know, earn
- 41:59Speaker 5: your lead your entertainment, and you're going to start and
- 42:02Speaker 5: you're going to be the marketing manager. You're making a
- 42:04Speaker 5: base salary at one hundred thousand dollars, and you have
- 42:06Speaker 5: an awful letter from Earn your Leisure Entertainment to start August. First,
- 42:12Speaker 5: you don't need to work at Earn your Leisure Entertainment
- 42:14Speaker 5: for two years. You have your college history for four years.
- 42:18Speaker 5: That's your work history. You can now present that offer
- 42:22Speaker 5: letter and your first past up and you can buy
- 42:25Speaker 5: a house.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Immediately, so you can use college as work experience.
- 42:30Speaker 5: Absolutelyely has that always been the case? Absolutely absolutely right?
- 42:40Speaker 5: And now if you freak it, you got that college
- 42:45Speaker 5: history four years, you got your degree. But during college
- 42:49Speaker 5: you have a single family home that you was renting out,
- 42:53Speaker 5: and now your roommate is on the lease. If you
- 42:57Speaker 5: do what we just said with the boyfriend and girlfriend scenario,
- 43:00Speaker 5: roomate starts paying you, and you know you have a
- 43:02Speaker 5: better chance of getting the house faster than them have
- 43:06Speaker 5: them pay you. Now, first of all, everybody got to
- 43:09Speaker 5: be on the same page with this, right. Everybody got
- 43:12Speaker 5: to be a team effort here. So now they pay
- 43:15Speaker 5: you instead of paying their portion of the rank, you
- 43:18Speaker 5: pay the landlord, and now you can use that border.
- 43:21Speaker 5: Now only can you use the offer letter from Arnur
- 43:23Speaker 5: Leisure Entertainment. You can also use that roommate income to
- 43:26Speaker 5: help you qualify, because now that roommate is going to
- 43:29Speaker 5: move into your house with you as well continue to
- 43:31Speaker 5: be a roommate.
- 43:34Speaker 4: And that offer letter is kind of one of those
- 43:37Speaker 4: things that you kind of need to have in order
- 43:39Speaker 4: to this work.
- 43:39Speaker 5: You can't just go we need to need to show
- 43:42Speaker 5: that you got a job, right, right, We need to
- 43:45Speaker 5: show that you have a job, and it's a start
- 43:47Speaker 5: date and you can go ahead and get pre approved,
- 43:51Speaker 5: but one of the pre approval conditions is going to be, hey,
- 43:55Speaker 5: when you get into contract, we need to know that
- 43:57Speaker 5: you're working. Now we need to see pay stubs from
- 44:02Speaker 5: earn your Leisure Entertainment. As we're using that example to
- 44:06Speaker 5: show those pay stubs. So that way now and it
- 44:09Speaker 5: matches up with the income from the offer letter, then boom,
- 44:14Speaker 5: you use that as long as your credits go your
- 44:16Speaker 5: DTI works. You don't have to wait two years to qualify.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good had because there's plenty of college
- 44:24Speaker 4: students who there's three roommates, but there's the one person
- 44:27Speaker 4: who gets the lease.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 44:28Speaker 4: If that person now looks at those two and that
- 44:30Speaker 4: you've just seen it for one roommate. Yeah, eventually that
- 44:32Speaker 4: could be two or three roommates that are paying them.
- 44:34Speaker 4: To that documentation port it becomes even more important exactly.
- 44:38Speaker 5: But the key is everybody has to be on the lease, right,
- 44:42Speaker 5: everyone has to pay you, and then everyone has to
- 44:46Speaker 5: be moving into your house because now it's border income
- 44:50Speaker 5: roommate income, and we're using that to help qualify, So
- 44:53Speaker 5: it needs to sustain to the new house, right. The
- 44:57Speaker 5: key so if everybody's on the same page, this could
- 45:00Speaker 5: be a home run. But here's how we even go
- 45:02Speaker 5: a little bit deeper with this pause. If you buy
- 45:06Speaker 5: a home that has an ADU, an necessory dwelling unit
- 45:11Speaker 5: on it, right, everybody type EIGHTYU in chat. If you
- 45:15Speaker 5: have an ADU, you can use rental income from an
- 45:20Speaker 5: ADU and it can help you qualify. So let's just say,
- 45:24Speaker 5: for example, you don't have the roommates, you live by yourself,
- 45:28Speaker 5: but you just graduated college and you want to use
- 45:31Speaker 5: that college degree hack, right, but you might be short
- 45:37Speaker 5: rent with income to qualify. You find a house that
- 45:41Speaker 5: has an ADU and we can use that rental income
- 45:44Speaker 5: from the ADU to help you qualify as well. And
- 45:51Speaker 5: when you get into the ADU, now we're going to
- 45:54Speaker 5: use long term rental income to help you qualify, but
- 45:58Speaker 5: that does not mean you have to have a long
- 46:00Speaker 5: term tenant. You can now turn that ADU into an Airbnb,
- 46:04Speaker 5: play vrbo, you can make it a content studio. There's
- 46:09Speaker 5: so many different things you can target midterm renters, like
- 46:13Speaker 5: traveling nurses, like flight attendants, like depending on where city
- 46:18Speaker 5: you live, so if you live close to airports, you
- 46:20Speaker 5: live close to hospitals, right, you should be targeting homes
- 46:24Speaker 5: that are close to in proximity to these areas. Because
- 46:28Speaker 5: the midterm rental and come from corporations. Right, you have
- 46:32Speaker 5: people who travel for corporations. They may need somewhere to
- 46:35Speaker 5: stay for six weeks because they're doing a corporate project
- 46:38Speaker 5: and a certain city. Think about what's happening. And guys,
- 46:41Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell you another hack. And I've talked about
- 46:43Speaker 5: this on my program, and I know you guys talked
- 46:45Speaker 5: about Look at all the AI data centers that's being
- 46:48Speaker 5: invested and built all around the country. Right, you got Texas.
- 46:52Speaker 5: I think there was two or three half a billion
- 46:54Speaker 5: dollar projects that was launched this year. Think about it.
- 46:59Speaker 5: These people or not the people who are constructing this,
- 47:02Speaker 5: they're not going to be long term residents of Texas, right,
- 47:07Speaker 5: They're probably coming in from all different parts of walker life.
- 47:10Speaker 5: So what do they need rentals? They might only be
- 47:13Speaker 5: out there to do a job that's going to take
- 47:15Speaker 5: six months, So what do they need a mid term rental?
- 47:18Speaker 5: They don't want to sign a year least or a
- 47:20Speaker 5: two year least. They may need only a six monthly
- 47:22Speaker 5: eight month least, and it's going to be cheaper than
- 47:25Speaker 5: the corporations putting them into a hotel because that daily
- 47:28Speaker 5: rate of a hotel, that shit going to add up,
- 47:31Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. So you got to really
- 47:33Speaker 5: take the current events and everything that's happening. I know
- 47:37Speaker 5: you guys talk about it at scale on Market Mondays.
- 47:40Speaker 5: That's why you need to tap in every Monday eight
- 47:42Speaker 5: pm Eastern Standard time to see what is moving and
- 47:46Speaker 5: shaken because all of these moves that's happening in AI,
- 47:49Speaker 5: those are also real estate plays too, if you're paying attention.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 47:54Speaker 4: And to make this like the best process, I think
- 47:57Speaker 4: it's important to talk about the due diligence that needs
- 47:59Speaker 4: to be done. You talked about looking at the school districts,
- 48:02Speaker 4: and you talked about looking at the short term rentals
- 48:04Speaker 4: in the area. What are some of the things to
- 48:06Speaker 4: make this the best process is possible. What things should
- 48:09Speaker 4: they be looking for to make sure that they don't
- 48:12Speaker 4: get the worst contractors, They're making sure that the area appreciates.
- 48:15Speaker 2: What is the due diligence that's needed if I'm going.
- 48:17Speaker 5: To house had So if you're doing a house hack,
- 48:20Speaker 5: I think you got to really pay attention to your
- 48:22Speaker 5: numbers first and foremost. I think a lot of folks
- 48:25Speaker 5: out there have these fictitious numbers of what long term
- 48:28Speaker 5: rental income is actually going to be. Short term rental market,
- 48:32Speaker 5: You've got to be very conservative with your numbers because
- 48:36Speaker 5: there are times where people will go into these deals
- 48:39Speaker 5: thinking they're going to get two thousand dollars a month
- 48:41Speaker 5: on rent on something and it's actually like sixteen seventeen hundred, Right,
- 48:46Speaker 5: So that's number one. Do your numbers really analyze that
- 48:49Speaker 5: real estate deal and also include all your expenses that
- 48:53Speaker 5: come with owning and managing and operating these deals. Right, So,
- 48:56Speaker 5: if you're doing Airbnb, you got to look at what
- 48:57Speaker 5: are the average cleaning expenses. You got to start really
- 49:00Speaker 5: building out that team and doing your due diligence so
- 49:02Speaker 5: that way you can really calculate what is my cash flow,
- 49:06Speaker 5: my net profit, my net revenue. Now, when it comes
- 49:09Speaker 5: to contractors, you have to really get a lot of
- 49:12Speaker 5: referrals for contractors. Right, contractors can make a big break
- 49:16Speaker 5: your project. You should really be getting three or four
- 49:19Speaker 5: different quotes when you're doing certain bids, because especially with
- 49:23Speaker 5: the word tariffs in twenty twenty five, right, I think
- 49:26Speaker 5: people are charging taris before taris even effect right, Like
- 49:30Speaker 5: it's just absolutely insane. The price had I think the
- 49:34Speaker 5: price is higher now than it was during COVID, Like,
- 49:38Speaker 5: I don't know what the hell is going on with
- 49:40Speaker 5: some of these quotes that people will give you on
- 49:42Speaker 5: certain projects. But you really have to shop contractors right
- 49:45Speaker 5: now because some people are just adding tax on type
- 49:48Speaker 5: of tax on type of tax just because they think
- 49:50Speaker 5: Trump is going to add the tax or they're adding
- 49:52Speaker 5: it right now before it's even in play. So get
- 49:56Speaker 5: three or four quotes and do not be afraid to negotiate.
- 50:00Speaker 5: You have to negotiate everything, and you have to use
- 50:02Speaker 5: tools like AI, Like I know one thing that I
- 50:05Speaker 5: do when I get a quote, now I upload that
- 50:09Speaker 5: quote into my chat EVT.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I've done I did that before I did that
- 50:13Speaker 3: the water water uh bacent thing and I detailed the
- 50:19Speaker 3: whole thing, and I said, I gave it the chair.
- 50:21Speaker 3: I'm like, how do you feeling that? It gave me
- 50:22Speaker 3: an estimate of what it should it should be on
- 50:25Speaker 3: the low end, on on average, and on high.
- 50:29Speaker 5: It tells you everything and if in the more details
- 50:31Speaker 5: you put into it, the better. If you even if
- 50:35Speaker 5: you put pictures like what I've done, I'll put pictures
- 50:39Speaker 5: of like what I'm looking to do and really break
- 50:43Speaker 5: it down, and then it will give you, like Rashad said, low, high, middle,
- 50:48Speaker 5: and then also asks hope, okay, who are the companies
- 50:51Speaker 5: in this area that I should be talking to? And
- 50:53Speaker 5: they will give you, give me the top ten companies
- 50:56Speaker 5: right that got the best reviews, you know, et cetera,
- 50:59Speaker 5: et cetera, and then it'll give you all these companies, right.
- 51:02Speaker 5: So you have to use the AI and the technology
- 51:05Speaker 5: that's out here available to help you do your due diligence,
- 51:07Speaker 5: to help you research, because let's face it, we don't
- 51:09Speaker 5: know everything, Like I don't know everything about destruction. So
- 51:12Speaker 5: I got to use the tools that's in front of
- 51:14Speaker 5: me to get the information. So now when I'm when
- 51:18Speaker 5: I'm interviewing these contractors, I can have an intelligent conversation
- 51:22Speaker 5: because I already have my questions already pre written, so
- 51:25Speaker 5: to speak with that information. So the due diligence process,
- 51:30Speaker 5: especially in twenty twenty five point into twenty twenty six,
- 51:32Speaker 5: with all this volatility in the market, you have to
- 51:35Speaker 5: you have to really dig deep. And that's why I'm
- 51:38Speaker 5: really excited to hear you talk about China because I've
- 51:40Speaker 5: been speaking to the China people. Rashad and I had
- 51:43Speaker 5: a call last night, matter of fact, with Blair, and
- 51:46Speaker 5: the prices are just absolutely phenomenal. Some of the shit
- 51:50Speaker 5: that they are telling me right now, I have to
- 51:52Speaker 5: say a deposit asap, like let's go right now because
- 51:57Speaker 5: this is incredible. So but that's late on a show.
- 52:00Speaker 5: But I had to do that in there. But you
- 52:04Speaker 5: have to do your due dealer jends, and you might
- 52:06Speaker 5: have to do with Shad than to fly out the
- 52:08Speaker 5: country to go check out thanks for yourself to get
- 52:10Speaker 5: better pricing.
- 52:12Speaker 4: Or maybe you could just watch what he's done.
- 52:15Speaker 2: He did it for you.
- 52:16Speaker 5: My notifications are on I don't know about y'all, like
- 52:22Speaker 5: the community service that is wrong, Like this is like,
- 52:25Speaker 5: first of all, kudos to you with that, because when
- 52:27Speaker 5: you told us about this, like what was this like
- 52:29Speaker 5: in the April, we had that call, you say, yo,
- 52:31Speaker 5: I'm going to China for this, that and the third
- 52:33Speaker 5: and I was like, all right, this is gonna sound good.
- 52:35Speaker 5: Time the tie he's gonna document it, shout y'all, shot
- 52:41Speaker 5: the time.
- 52:42Speaker 3: He did a great job. Well you know the thing
- 52:44Speaker 3: about it too, because you brought it up. I think people, Okay,
- 52:48Speaker 3: there's two people that can benefit from this China play
- 52:51Speaker 3: people that are building a home, furnishing a home. But
- 52:55Speaker 3: then also real estate developers. If you if you're in there,
- 52:59Speaker 3: if you are real estate developer. One of our friends
- 53:01Speaker 3: that's actually developing real estate, he's going out there today.
- 53:04Speaker 3: I think if you're a real estate developer, I think
- 53:07Speaker 3: you really need to tie in with this because depending
- 53:09Speaker 3: on what type of development you're doing, you can get
- 53:15Speaker 3: mass items for cheaper like and that's important because you
- 53:21Speaker 3: got to figure if you're developing let's say a subunit
- 53:26Speaker 3: and you're building you know, six homes, right, and you
- 53:29Speaker 3: got to put in six kitchens into those homes. So
- 53:32Speaker 3: you might want to just do the basic kitchen like
- 53:34Speaker 3: you know from home depot. But depending on what neighborhood
- 53:37Speaker 3: you're building a home, and that might not necessarily fly
- 53:41Speaker 3: or that might lower the value of the home. Right,
- 53:43Speaker 3: you might have to go a little bit higher in
- 53:45Speaker 3: you on your kitchen. But if you go you know,
- 53:48Speaker 3: like the kitchen is probably going to be one of
- 53:49Speaker 3: the most expensive items in the house, kitchen in the bathroom. Right,
- 53:52Speaker 3: so you saved let's say you save thirty forty fifty
- 54:00Speaker 3: is that times five, You're going to have a substantial savings.
- 54:03Speaker 3: What does that do? That adds more profit to you?
- 54:06Speaker 3: The more money you say, because you can still charge
- 54:08Speaker 3: the same amount of money for the house. Right, It's
- 54:10Speaker 3: like you haven't compromised the quality of the home. So
- 54:13Speaker 3: if you if you're like, I probably saved three hundred
- 54:16Speaker 3: thousand dollars, right, but I'm a home I'm just a
- 54:20Speaker 3: home owner. If I'm a home developer, now times that
- 54:25Speaker 3: times six seven, But then I'm still selling at market rate.
- 54:30Speaker 3: So now you just made yourself two million dollars by
- 54:35Speaker 3: executing smartly. Right, So, and it's maybe it's something that
- 54:41Speaker 3: we can talk about and invest fast. Let us know
- 54:43Speaker 3: in chat, let us know and chat if you're interested
- 54:46Speaker 3: in it, and having a panel about the whole China
- 54:51Speaker 3: player in its entirety, and invest fast. Because I've been
- 54:54Speaker 3: getting a lot of dms and a lot of people
- 54:56Speaker 3: you know, been following the journey, so you know, maybe
- 54:59Speaker 3: that's something that we can really add to the investments
- 55:02Speaker 3: portfolio per se. But I do think that you can
- 55:06Speaker 3: death and you don't have to go out there like
- 55:08Speaker 3: even you like you know what I'm saying, Like you
- 55:10Speaker 3: you're talking to like that's the good thing, but you
- 55:12Speaker 3: got to know you gotta work with somebody already there
- 55:16Speaker 3: because they're not all the same. That's important people to know,
- 55:20Speaker 3: Like you just can't show up in China and just
- 55:22Speaker 3: be like I'm here. You can you technically can, cause
- 55:27Speaker 3: it's like, you know, the area of Foolstrong that's manufacturing
- 55:33Speaker 3: heaven and they do everything from clothes to hair bundles,
- 55:39Speaker 3: press on nails, anything that you think of than manufacture.
- 55:44Speaker 3: So you can go electronics, you can go and just
- 55:47Speaker 3: stumble and you can get still probably a better price
- 55:51Speaker 3: than you're paying America. But if you really really want
- 55:54Speaker 3: to get like because each like, for instance, my kitchen
- 55:59Speaker 3: and closet, I want to restore that specializes in just
- 56:03Speaker 3: kitchens and closets, right, And the prices was so good.
- 56:07Speaker 3: I asked them if they could do everything, but they're like,
- 56:09Speaker 3: we really can't because we only specialize in kitchens and closets.
- 56:12Speaker 3: So I went to like six different stores to put
- 56:16Speaker 3: it all together. But it's worth it. But you got
- 56:21Speaker 3: to have somebody to kind of walk you through that process, right,
- 56:24Speaker 3: Like you can't just do that on your own because
- 56:28Speaker 3: you it's kind of hard logistically to go to six
- 56:30Speaker 3: different places.
- 56:31Speaker 4: I think even from the standpoint and you kind of
- 56:34Speaker 4: mentioned it in the video, but you start to think
- 56:36Speaker 4: when you're building commercial spaces or you're building hotels, like
- 56:41Speaker 4: they've been doing it all the time, and the difference
- 56:44Speaker 4: is that they get to charge you every night. Yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 4: so the long term pay obviously, if you're building a subdivision,
- 56:49Speaker 4: those are those are homes. But at the hotel, play
- 56:51Speaker 4: like that's a nightly income that's coming in, especially if
- 56:55Speaker 4: you've gotten the things manufactured in bolt, whether it's the
- 56:59Speaker 4: night stand or it's.
- 57:00Speaker 2: The headboard for the beds.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Every room pretty much is the same unless you, you know,
- 57:05Speaker 4: get a specialized suite. These things come in bulk, and
- 57:08Speaker 4: now you're looking at it like, wait, they've made savings
- 57:10Speaker 4: on the actual building of the hotel or wherever the
- 57:13Speaker 4: commercial space is, and now they're charging you every night.
- 57:16Speaker 4: So the long term income comes back from it as well.
- 57:18Speaker 3: And the chandeliers, Like I met the people that make
- 57:21Speaker 3: chandeliers for all of the like a lot of the
- 57:24Speaker 3: top hotels in America and abroad, and they were showing
- 57:29Speaker 3: me these massive chandeliers that they're making, and top American
- 57:34Speaker 3: brands by their chandeliers, right, So it's just like, damn,
- 57:38Speaker 3: who thought about whoever thinks about Shandela's Now every hotel
- 57:43Speaker 3: that I walk into, I'm looking at the chandeliers because
- 57:45Speaker 3: it's in my brain. Right. But that's a real business,
- 57:50Speaker 3: like damn, like manufacturing then shipping, and you know who's
- 57:53Speaker 3: out there, and you could appreciate this is on the
- 57:56Speaker 3: real estate side. It's unfortunate because there's only a few
- 58:00Speaker 3: Black Americans that's really on this way right now. Like
- 58:02Speaker 3: shout out to Blair, she's from Detroit, she lives out there.
- 58:05Speaker 3: But the African Brothers is out there. Heavy yeah, heavy,
- 58:10Speaker 3: like I went to a place that had two hundred
- 58:12Speaker 3: thousand Africans, and it did as a fact, and because
- 58:16Speaker 3: they already because they're on it all over from all
- 58:19Speaker 3: over Africa, and they're buying and then sending it back
- 58:23Speaker 3: to Africa for new constructions, new builds, and.
- 58:26Speaker 4: We saw a lot of we saw while we were
- 58:28Speaker 4: in Africa a bunch of new builds.
- 58:30Speaker 3: So it's non stopped, it's a house. It's housing shortages
- 58:33Speaker 3: all over Africa. So the real estate marketing on the
- 58:36Speaker 3: continent is going crazy because they have to. They have
- 58:40Speaker 3: a young population, it's only getting younger. They don't have
- 58:43Speaker 3: enough housing. So all over you see government housing, you
- 58:46Speaker 3: see private subsidy, you see everything like it's all kinds
- 58:49Speaker 3: of development. High rises, small, mini homes, they got container homes,
- 58:53Speaker 3: any type of real estate that you could think.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Of, luxury homes, luxury hotels.
- 58:57Speaker 3: They're building. They're building a lot of real estate. So
- 58:59Speaker 3: China's playing a major part in supplying a lot of
- 59:03Speaker 3: these real estate developments. Were pretty much everything from tiles
- 59:06Speaker 3: to lights to you know, sofa's, kitchen, sinks, you name it.
- 59:11Speaker 4: Oh man, you got that's that real estate brain. You
- 59:13Speaker 4: start walking in spaces you're looking at the towels, you
- 59:15Speaker 4: look at the looking at everything, You're looking at the wallpaper.
- 59:19Speaker 5: So let me ask you shot it right? So you say,
- 59:22Speaker 5: you say three hundred thousand estimated with this trip to China.
- 59:27Speaker 5: And I saw somebody in the comments home on your
- 59:30Speaker 5: last post talking about a tripped and used to my
- 59:32Speaker 5: cut out the middle man, and it was like, well,
- 59:34Speaker 5: trip to China gonna cost you five thousand dollars plus
- 59:36Speaker 5: eighteen hours, right, Like I think people got to stop
- 59:41Speaker 5: having a small mind like that, Like eighteen hours you
- 59:45Speaker 5: could sleep that, right, but you just you brought your
- 59:48Speaker 5: whole house. It sounds like in China in six days.
- 59:53Speaker 3: And you know what too, for me, everybody's situation is different.
- 59:56Speaker 3: For me, I even if I didn't save any money,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: the experience alone would have been worth it, cause it's
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: like I really value traveling and China is a place
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: that I always just kind of you know, I didn't
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: really you know, it's like one of these things, right,
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: like you just see China from Afar. But even to
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: get there is a process, like you gotta get a visa, right,
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: that alone's gonna knock out seventy people seventy percent of
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: people because you actually gotta go to the Chinese consule. Wait,
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: get the visa, come back a week later. It's a
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: process to actually get the visa. So I'm like, yeah,
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: I want to go to China, man, like you know
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: what I mean, Like I just I just thought that
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: was interesting just to actually see things for myself, especially
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: now during terrorists and all that stuff. So to that, brother,
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: I would say, just sometimes you're missing opportunities because you're
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: looking at things the wrong way, right, Like you don't
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: know what you're going who you're gonna meet, what kind
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: of relationships, what's gonna information you're gonna get, this, gonna
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: open your mind, like we know what's gonna happen if
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: you stay home. You've been doing that your whole life.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: Take risks sometimes I life, you just got to take
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: a risk, like you know what I mean. So it
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: worked out because, like you said, I did save a
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: lot of money, but the exposure part for me was
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: just different. And then even like you know, I'm in China,
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: like my niece that she want to do press on
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: nail business, so I got to actually have the plug
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: press on nails. It's a real thing in China. So
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: you know. I just think that as a community, Like
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: I said, there's two hundred thousand. I'm gonna keep saying
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: that because it's like we need to we Black Americans
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: need to start thinking like differently, Like we still caught
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: on this domestic stay scarcity mindset. What if it goes wrong,
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna lose three thousand dollars. Like, bro, they already did,
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: they figured it out already. Like what I'm saying like don't.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: You can't. That's why you got to go to invest Fest.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: You can't think with a small mind and think you're
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: gonna make it big in life. It's not gonna happen.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: I think that it's the mindset piece where it's like
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: even if like I wasn't there, but I get to
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: learn from it. I think like understanding that part, right,
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: there's always a lesson that you can learn from somebody
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: else's experience, right, Like I didn't my house is built, right,
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: So I'm like, all right, well what can I learn?
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: What can I watch?
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: I'm watching the moves all right, not just in the
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: home space, but they're going live. They're showing like yo,
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: this is what it looks like from a fashion standpoint.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: This is you know this leather goods. Right, we've all
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: been victim of pursas in those things. This is what
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: it looks like. Here's what manufacturing looks like. There's so
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: much you can learn. Like I said, I'm watching the
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: hotel space, I know what that's like. I'm like, I'm
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: looking at the towers everywhere. Now there's always a piece
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: that I thought you actually hind the probably the most
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: mature way, like Yo, I didn't. It may not work
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: for you, bro. I'm just telling you that this is
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: how it went for me. And if you can learn
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: something from it, great. If you don't, you'll want power
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: to you, bro. But this is what we're on.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: People know the price of everything, but the value of nothing.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Everybody tell you how to do it. They never did.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: It, but on some gym standpoint. Because I do want
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: to kitchen. If you're looking about a kitchen, at the
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: very least, I would look at China, because I think
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: you're going to save a lot of them. Like the
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: price that they quoted me for the kitchen.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I had to ask again. I had to act twice because,
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: for instance, one of my friends is building a home
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: in Atlanta. He had to slab. Like you know, if
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: you have an island in your kitchen, you have a
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: slab that goes on top of the island, right, and
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: it could be marble, it could be course, it could
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: be different material, right, and they put designs on it.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: It looks like you know, it looks like the swiggly
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: marble lines like you know, those things can become pricey.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: So the price that he paid for the top layer
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: that goes on top of the island, not the island
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: at the top of the island, is the price that
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: they charged me for the entire kitchen.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: M hm.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: So I would definitely suggest I think that kitchens for sure,
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: and I think you can save a lot of money
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: on bathrooms and then a lot of other stuff too.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: But you know, it just depends. Like some people might
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: just want a regular couch. They might not want, you know,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: a luxury cound, or they might just want they might
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: just want to paint their walls. They might not want,
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: like you know, you get different fabrics. It's like, you know,
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: once you start going through this rabbit hole on TikTok,
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: your algorithm becomes nonstops for real estate stuff. So I've
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: been seeing stuff like the custom made desk, can swivel chairs,
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: and you know, you just those aren't necessary, but they're
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: nice to have. But the kitchen aspect, that was pretty
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: eye opening for me. And I'm like, okay, I get
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: it now, I understand why people is coming out here.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: Yeah, when you told me the price of your kitchen
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: and the master closet, I was sold right then and there.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: Because a closet, you know, if you you know, this
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: is not a small room, you know, and you doing
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: custom cabinry in your closet, you know that shit adds
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: out quick in a hurry. And when you told me
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: the price for both, I'm like, damn, that's just a
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: that's just your closet, really, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: And like the kitchen, a kitchen in America, you know,
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: if you got let's just say a standard, A big
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: kitchen is twenty by twenty right, a twenty by twenty
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: four hundred square feet, you can fit a lot. You
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: can do a nice ten twelve foot dollar in there.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: Like it's a good space. You're going to spend one
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: hundred till one hundred and twenty five thousand, just depending
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: on how hog in your appliance. This is and when
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: you told me that price, I'm like, yo, please connect
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: me with hertent.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Now here. This is also a piece of the education
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: is like when do you do it right? So like
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: you went there obviously the building process has begun, but
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: like most people, you're not just are you going there before?
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Are you going there? During the process?
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Are we waiting at like their benchmark when it would
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: be good to go.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: I think it thinks three to four months to actually
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: complete from start to finish, So you should have that
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: time frame in your head. So if you are like
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: for me, I'm at the point now where I'm about
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: to have floors, probably in the next month or two months, right,
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: so it's a good time because they haven't put up
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: walls yet. I'm still like design, yeah, I'm still in
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: that phase. But I mean, it really just depends on
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: even if you have a home built, you might just
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: gotta you gotta wait a little bit longer, but that
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: that weight might be worth it. But you don't want
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: to get it too early because if you get it
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: too early and there's no where to deliver it, I
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: mean you you you have to pay for storage at
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: that So this is an important part of the aspect,
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: you have to get a container. So the container coursed
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: around twelve thousand dollars. It's a big if you ever
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: go to the shipping yard, you no, you know the
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: shipping yards like all they're filled with containers.
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: Is that? Did you do a forty foot or twenty
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: foot container for twelve?
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: I haven't gotten the container yet because they're gonna they're
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: gonna figure out how big all of the stuff needs
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: to be. But I think the forty foot is twelve.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: I'll double check that. So but once again, it's just
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: the education because when you you see stuff all the time,
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: you never think about it. I've been seeing I've seen
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: containers in person. When I was in Baltimore, I used
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: to work as a side hustle. On the weekend. We
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: used to go to the dock because you know, Baltimore
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: is a major shipping port, so we used to actually
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: go to the dock and we worked at the dock
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: on the on the weekends the basketball team, and I
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: was seeing all these ships come in. But I never
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: nobody ever thought about it anything. But now I'm like, okay,
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: because I'm actually now I'm in the I'm in the
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: import export game, right so now I'm actually realizing, Okay,
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: this is how it actually works. So you get you
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: got to get a container, so you want to feel
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: that container up too, because you don't want to leave
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: any empty space. You're still going to pay the same
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: price whether it's half empty or whether it's all the
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: way full. So that's another reason why you should get
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: as much stuff as possible. But also this is some
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: other game because even my contractor has said it before.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: My contractor was getting stuff from China. That's what really
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: opened my eyes too. He was gonna he was gonna
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: get me a closet from China. I know the place
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: where he's gonna get it from. And he's gonna get
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: my door from China. So I'm like, and then I
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: found out the exact store. But he told me, he's like, look,
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: when you go to China, if you have room, let's
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: just go half on the container. So I say that
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: to say, if you have friends that are building a
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: home or have homes, or not even homes, whatever it is,
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: because I said, you can get anything from China. So
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: if you if if you four friends, right, y'all gonna
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: blow that money in the club anyway, why not just
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: you know whether you're gonna get bundles of head press
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: on nails close. You think about what you want to get, right,
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: and then you get four friends and you'll put money
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: together and you buy the product, and then you put
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: together to container money and then you ship it. Now,
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: the tariffs tariffs is another thing that you should be
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: aware of that that goes. That's a market Monday's place,
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: but that's a real estate players also, because it's important
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: to know what tow ship not a good idea to
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: ship would? I found out a wood is not cheap
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: there because they don't really have wood. They import wood
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: from Russia and like Africa, so the wood is not
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: too much cheaper than it is in America. It might
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: be even more expensive, but there's a special terror on
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: that tax which makes it even higher. So you don't
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: want to import any You don't want to buy any
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: wood in China. Even engineering would or engineer wood is good, Okay,
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: engineer wood is good, but like real real wood, Okay.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: Yeah, we usually obviously that's gonna come up. Ken, I
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: just want to add a little context to what you're saying,
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: because the container is important, right, that's for the storage piece.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: But I'll add a little bit onto it. You might
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: want to look into having a receiver too, right, so
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: in order for it to get from the container, right,
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: sometimes they'll bring it directly to the site. But sometimes
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: your house might not be ready, and so there's always
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: delays obviously. So even like in a case where it's
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: like I'm gonna have floors in a month, and man,
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: you notice more than probably us.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, that one month turned.
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: Into three, but that container is now here, so where
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: we put the stuff? And so sometimes having a receiver
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: somebody that now stores that for you. So actually when
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: it's done and now can bring into your house. And
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: you might not want everything done right, So if you
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: order furniture, you order your couch, or you order your bed,
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: right you still might be putting the floors down. They
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: still might be putting drywall and pain. You don't want
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: that stuff getting on your furniture or on the things
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: that you brought, or even your applients or your kitchen.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: And so the receiver will hold that until it's time
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: and those things get brought in piece by piece. Just
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: another thing to do in terms of assurance, right, like
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: what happens when something is damaging that right now, the
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: receiver will see that, and there's insurance that goes with that,
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: right so it can go back or hey, you know what,
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: this happened in the transport of the actual item, and
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: so now you have a little protection there. So like
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: the container's important, but like having those things in place too,
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: because you, like I said, delays happen all the time
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: and you can't control that.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: Yet. Even on the dock, they have they have holding
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: docks though, so even when it gets to like the
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: poor you pay money, but they have like lockers that
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: will actually you could you could pay like monthly. It's
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: like storage. You know, it doesn't even have to leave
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: the dock, but you do have to have transport service
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: to get from the dock to your house. You can
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: do it yourself. That is obviously a little bit more involved,
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: but you save some money, but most of it. Like
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: that's why it's also good to have a connect on
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: the ground they set up the transfer service for you
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: and the stores that you work where you want to
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: just make sure they have a warranty. Most of the
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: stores have warranties though, like they have like ten year
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: warranties and the whole instructional. They make video GUIDs for
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: people to put it together. Because, like I said, like
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: people been buying stuff from China for a long time,
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: companies and stuff like that. So it's not like a
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: new thing. It's it's been happening for years. It's just
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: now retail consumers are getting hip to it. But an
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: idea of you know, shipping stuff buying, and that's why
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: they want to put tariffs on it, right, because they're
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: making so much money shipping into America for years or
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: you know, a low amount of money. So but you
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: have to pay the tariffs. That's important. So just calculate
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: that and however much you're spending. But if you if
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: you're buying the right price, even with the tariffs added on,
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: which is anywhere from thirty to fifty percent, you're still
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: gonna it's still going to Like the chandeliers. Chandelier is
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: another thing. Like the price that I saw for schandelier
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: was unbelievable. Like the chandelad that I sent you that
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: it looked.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: Like, yeah, yeah, it was crazy.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: It was fifty It's a fifty foot crystal chandelier from
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: Florida ceiling for twelve thousand dollars and you probably could
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: have talked it down for like eight thousand dollars, Like
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: there's no way that's going to be that price in America.
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: So let me ask you shatty with the quality like
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: especially like kitchens, right because you know, you can get
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: a kitchen and it can be made out of just
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: bullshit and still they can make it look good, but
- 1:12:59Speaker 5: it's still bullshit. Right, talk to us about the quality
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: of like the kitchens the cab and try because everything's
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: made to order from what I'm being told, right, when
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: you was inspecting these kitchens, especially from that store, you
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: said they the price was good, everything was good, Like
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: how was the quality of like their workmanship, the craftsmanship
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: of like these kitchens and stuff like that?
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: Quality is excellent. One thing about China. You can get
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: it as high quality as you want, or you can
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: get as low quality as you want. But the places
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: I was going to was high quality. So it was
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: it was good like it was. It was everything was detailed,
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: very very detailed, Like I mean, it looked like like
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: I said, I mean, they have very good craftsmanship. I'll
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: say that they have very good craftsmanship. And the good
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: thing about it is that most of these places have
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: the manufacturings actually taking place in the store. So it's
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: like a lot that show want to be on the
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: second floor, manufacturers getting made on the third floor or
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: first floor. So it's like, you know, a lot of
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: the stores in America they don't have that, like they're
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: getting it shipped in. So like you go to the store,
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: then you can well I don't know if everybody can,
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: but for me, they let me see where they was
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: actually making it. So you could tell a lot about
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: that too, because some you could tell the quality a
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: lot of times by how the manufacturing looks. Some manufacturing
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: in places I went to it looked, you know, like
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: it had a long day. Some of them look like
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: some state of the art, like you know what I'm saying.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: So I'm like day a little older. So but that's
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: a good thing though, because the manufacturing happens right there,
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: so it's like it's going from one floor to the
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: next floor, from manufacturing to the show.
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: I think part of it is that mindset, right, and
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: I think you posted it as well as like when
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: we think China, we think cheap products, and part of
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: that mindset it's still there from this side of the world, right,
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Like when we think high quite like even like a
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: tzara is a discount of clothes, but there's also teamul
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: in a sheene, and right when people get products from
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: those places, it's like the quality isn't the best. Like
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: we can say it's going to be cheaper and you
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: can have it. And so like, what what do you
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: think needs to be done? Obviously what you've done from
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: the journalistic standpoint and actually debunking some things to showing
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: some things, and I'm sure there's a lot more. How
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: do we shift mindset? And Matt, we'll get back to
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: you in a little bit, but this is important stuff.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: And China's very important right now.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: Yeah, not what do I think? What do I think
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: needs to be changed? How do we help change the mindset?
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: I guess navigate that that approach to change it. It's
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: crazy because people that think that everything is made in China.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: I right to report that thirty to forty percent of
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: the world's manufacturing, every part of the world's manufacturing comes
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: from China. So it's crazy like that that term made
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: in China is a real time real it's a real thing.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: So I mean, it's it's it's crazy to think that
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: you would only equate things that's made in China with
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: being cheap. Because everything is made in.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: China, I would assume everything that we're using right now is.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: Exactly chiefs stuff. Chief stuff made in China, mid stuff
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: made it is made in China. High expensive stuff is
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: made in China. So I think I think the deeper
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: sense goes back to white supremacy, and it ties into
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: the idea that we talked about before that any luxury
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: item has to come from a European country. So when
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: we equate luxury, we think of Italy, we think of Paris, right,
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: we think of London. We don't think of Africa at all.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: We don't, we don't. We don't think Africa at all,
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: even though all of the stuff comes from Africa. We
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: don't think Asia at all. We don't. We look at
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: China as like even when JD. Vance called them peasants,
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: that was an ignorant thing for him to say, but
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: that reflects the mindset. He didn't just say that for
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: any for no reason. Right, He looked at them as like, oh,
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: they are a good workforce, but it's not high level quality. Right,
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: But like I said, I want this, I want especially
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: the place that I went to when like I went
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: to this place where it was all towels and fabrics
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: and stuff, you would think you was in soho like
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: even how they was dressing super like trendy. I mean,
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: it was just some fly nes like it was just
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: super super fly. Like concrete like you know that concrete.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: You ever go into like these luxury fashion stores and
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: they got concrete floors. It looks like concrete, but it's
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: not like concrete floors, the concrete wall. It's just crazy,
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: like you know what I mean. So I think that
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: that once again, that goes back to just equating anything luxurious,
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: high level ultra luxurious to a few places on the
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: globe that have coined that, like Switzerland and stuff like that.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: But when you really start to travel, you see like nah,
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: I mean, luxury can be made any with and most
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: of the time those luxury Like I said, the thing
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: with the Chinese is that they're very they don't take
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: credit for a lot of stuff. But I met, I
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: actually met like this, like the top luxury stores in
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: the world, like even their interior and the exterior. I
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: sent you a picture. Man, I'm can't I'm not gonna
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: say the name, but I'm the people that make their
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: exterior and interior. I met them, went to their store
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: and they're like, yo, you just don't put this on camera.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: Top quality exactly. I'm looking at the picture like this
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: is fine, and these are and by the way, these
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: are these are europe These are European fashion houses. European
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: fashion houses. The top luxury European brands in the world
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: is getting their interior exterior, did the core? Not even
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: just their clothes, did the core? They're getting it the
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: core work from China. They're not. It's not getting it's
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: not coming from Italy, from Switzerland. It's coming from China.
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: So what was the one thing that you learned or
- 1:19:07Speaker 5: surprised you out there that you didn't expect, Like going
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: out there on this trip, like, what was that one
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: thing that just made you say, damn?
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Just the vastness of it. That's another thing if you're
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: going out there, you know, they have different cities for
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: different things inside of home to court. So they have
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: a lighting city just flight like that that thing I
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: put on Instagram fourteen floors mall for lights. That's not
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: the only light, that's the lighting district. That's just the mall.
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: They have a whole town district just for lights, like
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: they have like they have different towns for different things.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: That to me was amazing because I'm like, damn, and
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: it's just it's unbelievable, Like it's unbelievad like and even
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: like they have the electronic section of like a town
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: for electronics. They have a town like a section just
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: for hair, They have a section just for clothes. They
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: got a section for handbag. I din't even get a
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: chance to go to the handbag section. They got a
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: section for handbags. Like but like I said, the homes,
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: like it just amazed me how they had lights. I
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: would have never even thought. And that's most They have
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: multiple lighting malls, like they have light a mall just
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: for lights, Like they have a whole district just for
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: like couches and beds.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: Say so it's like the think about how much product
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: they're selling. If they have a mall full of lights,
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: multiple mall full of lights, think about how they're they're
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: lighting the world literally literally it's crazy. So that got
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: to me, like that that one thing to me, just
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: that just that was amazing to me. And that's just
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: like I really think that not to get too far
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: off topic. But the one thing that was I was
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: encouraged was with that Africans. But there's also a little
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: disappointing is that on the continent they're not making anything.
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: They don't manufacture anything. They're they're traders, they're good traders, right,
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: But on the continent within US, US in America too,
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: we got to actually start making things. Like Donald Trump's
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: not wrong in what he's saying. We do have to
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: we do have to make things. But I think he's
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: wrong in the way he's going about it, but not
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: take America out of it. I'm talking about like US
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: as a community, we have to produce things.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: I thought you was going to say that Kanye wasn't
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: wrong or what he was saying.
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: No, Kanye was. Remember I said, I said in London, Yeah,
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: this is crazy. I said in London when you did
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: the Royal Alberhol we're doing press and all that. I said,
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: this is when the whole thing first happened. I said,
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: if I was Kanye, I would go to China right now,
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: I would live in China. Yeah, that's before I even
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: went to China. This just reinfirms what I was saying.
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: If he was really serious, about what he was talking about.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: They have they have it already. He could have literally
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: made all of his products in China for way cheaper
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: distributed it. He should have just set up shop in
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: China for six months.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: That's that's why I.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: Thought you was going because what he chose to go
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: to Italy to do it and realized that we don't
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: own anything. We don't own manufacturing and kept prying about it, and.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: That's how it kind of prompted.
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: And I was gonna lead with, like, yes, those are
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: a bunch of glows with any negative setbacks or things
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: that you saw, and I think you kind of just
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: answered it though, like not seeing us own any manufacturing
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: from on the continent, but being there producing and.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: Not owning anywhere. We don't produce anything. That's the problem.
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: Like that's one key takeaway from this whole situation. We
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: don't produce enough. We gotta start producing, like that's something
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: we gotta produce. We gotta produce food, we gotta produce clothes.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: We have to.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: We have to produce something. It's good to buy and
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: it's good to trade. But the next level, the higher level,
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: is to actually make products and make goods. That's my
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: thesis on this whole situation. But if you want to
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: see it, if you want to see the conversation in detailed,
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: and if you were like my resources and my plugs
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: because I have to plug Blair shout out to her nephew,
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: minetary designer. She knows a lot. I have Paulina who's
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: my translator and also grounds on. She's Chinese as far
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: as she knows all this stuff. I have a whole
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: team that I've actually figured this thing out. If you
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: would like to see that and go through the process
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: and know the exact stores to buy from and know
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: the exact plugs. If you're interested in seeing that, invest
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: best let us know in chat possibly w's in chats
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: and make some phone calls. We can see if we
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: can add it to this year's lineup. It's not too late.
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I think we definitely need to add that, because
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: I don't think we need w's in chats. We just
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: need to make the calls. Get them over here on
- 1:23:57Speaker 5: the first thing flying eighteen hours because and I'm telling
- 1:24:01Speaker 5: you all this, man, because I've had conversations with Blair
- 1:24:03Speaker 5: twice this week already, and just what she's sending me
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: just from like a garage door yard like you know,
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: like doors, like it's very important.
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: Like I have not to cut you off. I got.
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: I got fifty two doors, thanks forty or fifty two doors.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: It's the interior.
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: Interior area, right, they got all kind of doors. Windows.
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: I got my windows ready. I sold you that thing
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: that the soundproof window thing.
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it's crazy. That's crazy for the windows and the doors.
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: So like you guys know like the accordion doors right
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: for like you can go from your house to your
- 1:24:42Speaker 5: backyard and it opens all the way up right like
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: a ten foot ten x eight foot door. I was
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: quartered on that shit. Thirteen thousand dollars, right, Blad told me, yoh,
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: she sent me that. She just got it for one
- 1:24:55Speaker 5: of her other clients, the same exact door for two
- 1:24:57Speaker 5: thousand dollars. Bro, same make frame, Like still like the
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: whole nine yards, the temperate glass. I said, are you
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: kidding me? Ten ten thousand dollars saving just on the
- 1:25:10Speaker 5: fucking one door. I say, yo, I need three of those,
- 1:25:13Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying? Like lights.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: Gym equipment, that's another thing I got. I there's this
- 1:25:21Speaker 3: full set of gym. It does everything. It's like it's
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: like twelve different things. So I send it to my
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: trainer and I said, Yo, how much would this cost
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: in America? He said eight thousand dollars And I paid
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: eleven hundred dollars for it in China.
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: It's crazy. She told me the same thing. She said.
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: She said, Matt, if you want to do your gym,
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: your movie, theater, you know, everything that you want to do, Like,
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: I'm ordering my interior doors, like I got a call
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: with her tomorrow. Oh.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: I secured the lights too. The we saw this, we
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: did a taping and we saw you know, the Rose
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: Royce lights on the on the ceiling, yeah, in the
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: shooting Star.
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: So when we asks the guy when we was table,
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: was like how much this costs? He's like it was
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: like over ten thousand dollars something like that. What for
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: to have the lights? Remember we were doing this shoot
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: and we sort of ceiling with the lights.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Oh you are you're talking about in like a theater room?
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh in Kelly. Yeah, remember that.
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: That was for a project that He's like Yeah, He's like, yeah,
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: it's pretty.
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: He's like, you know, it's kind of expensive. I think
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: he's to like ten twenty thousand dollars like that under
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: under a thousand dollars.
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: Wait a minute, so exactly those fantom like it's the
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: phantom lights in your movie there no right and they
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: got his stars.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, I've.
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: Seen that in people houses and a lot from Tally too.
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: At anything that you think of. But I'll say this too,
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: this is important. Know your measurements. You got to you
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: gotta give them the exact measurements because you don't want
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: to make any mistakes and double check the measurement to
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: make sure. But the measurements very important. That's the I
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: don't want to forget that part. If you're looking up
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: to do anything for your home, you know your measurements.
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: Get the matter port, got to get the mataport of
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: your house. That's the right.
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: Now, what's the mataport shot?
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: The matterport.
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: Saying that the people right.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: When they through like a whole surveillance of your house
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: as far as like a three D thing, so they
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: give you the exact measurement blueprint like what it actually
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: looks like, because sometimes even a measurement on a blueprint
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: can be slightly off because it's blueprints written on paper,
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: so it's human error that happens right, Like they might say, okay,
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: this is ten foot, but when they do it, it
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: actually might it might be actually like ten and a half.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: Feet or could be ten feet two inches.
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it might be slightly off, so you want to
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: double check with the tape. But then also the matter
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: part actually does it where they have like a like
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: a beam that goes around and then it catches everything
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: on the electric electric I don't even know how it registers,
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: but it gives you like a full detailed report of like, Okay,
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: the closet is ten feet by six feet and you
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: actually can see it on a.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: But can I add context to it? Because it's important
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: when you do that.
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: And that's why I said the timing is important, right,
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: because what most people will do is that they'll forget that. Wait,
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: we haven't sheet rocked yet, so like that quarter of
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: an inch counts, right, I haven't my floors, Like what's
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: the measurement? The size of my four planks? Like that changes,
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: so you got it. It's like extremely detailed because you
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: can't you can't be off a quarter inch, especially like
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: you're talking about these prize most prominent places in your
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: house your kitchen, right, your bathroom tiles, Like a quarter
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: inch changes everything, right, Like that'll throw everything off if
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: it's your island, or it's your countertops, or if it's
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: even a talent on that. Like you got to be
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: specific with it. So like having those things site measurements
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: are vidally important.
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, great conversation about China, man, I'm looking forward
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: to to hairing this at Investments some more detail.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: I'm a general contractor.
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: By the way, I think at this point we all
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: are now we now were in the import and export business.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: This is the last tick I'll get for China. When
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: you're doing your bath ron This is I didn't you
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: gotta so you gotta get a shower kit. I think
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: that's what it's called, right for when you when you're
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: putting in a shower, get a shower kit. I didn't
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: know what a shower they was telling me this my
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: contract that kept He's like, you got give me a
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: shower kit. You got you gotta give me the shower kit.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: He wasn't explained to me what a shower kit was,
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: so I thought he meant I got to give him
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: the whole because like when you go to like a
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: store to buy shower that they'll show you the whole
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: entire thing. Right, So I'm thinking I got to get
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: the whole entire thing, but I'm like, I'm not ready
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: to get the whole entire thing yet. Then they finally
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: explained it to me with the plumber and and I'm okay,
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: now I get it. The shower kip is the actual
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: shower head, the thing that the tiles, that the thing
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: that you turn, and then the actual pipe, right, but
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: I didn't know that. But this is this is out.
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: So I got all of those right from America. I
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: didn't get that from China. Got that from America so
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: they could continue construction because they couldn't. They couldn't put
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: the walls up until they actually had that. But you
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: get the tiles from China, you get all of it,
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: and then you you haven't made in so you you
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: designed the bathroom.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Huh remember the well? Got that that could save your money.
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: The toiles, the toiles depending on what type of toiles
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: or what type of things. But whatever you're going to
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: get on the outside, right, whether it's marble, whether it's
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: top whatever, you get that from China, because you're gonna
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: get that from substantially less. And then it's just a
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: cover at that point, Like you cover the floor, you
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: cover the bathtub, like you cover the bathtub, like you
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: cut it right, and your bathroom looks like you actually
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: brought that bathroom in its entirety. But the only thing
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: that you really purchased was the material which was made
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: on the outframe. The piping you got from America. That's important,
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: but everything else so that so it's like you you
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: you put it, you put it together. That's how you
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: save a lot of money on the bathroom. Because the
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: bathroom quote that I got quoted on we went to
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: the first place in America, and the quote that I
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: got quoted for, quote, my my bathroom, one bathroom, one
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: bathroom was sixty percent of what I paid for the
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: whole entire house in China.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: Man, don't let that go off of your had your
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: bathroom was six percent of the cost of everything you
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: got in China. Yes, God, bless God, bless China and
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: everything in it.
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: Like you gotta think about all of this stuff. The
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: vanity that like you know, nobody.
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: Think when you told me you're pricing on those vanities.
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: I think you said, well, you got like five six
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: vanities or something for like a couple of dollars. I'm like,
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: and look, And for those of you who don't know
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: O Rashad, you could just go to his drip reports
- 1:32:32Speaker 5: and understand. My man likes the finest of fabrics, so
- 1:32:36Speaker 5: you can understand when he's talking about these things. It's
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: always it's going to be the finest of material and
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: fabrics and everything like it. So when he tells me
- 1:32:44Speaker 5: these prices, I'm like, I know, my boy ain't out
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: here talking about the bottom of the barrel type shit.
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: It's just the highest of the highest, you know what
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: I'm saying. So yeah, China, and that's fast. Let's grow.
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: You have, gentlemen, get your tickets. Get your tickets now.
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: Go to invest best dot com. We got the raffle
- 1:33:06Speaker 5: going on. You get access to the house, house hacked,
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: the freedom. We might throw some china calls at invest
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: Best and do a whole china workshop, Like we might
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: need to set up everything there because the way this
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: is sounding, bro, we.
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: Might need to do we might need to do multiple
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: china panels. We might need to do one on the
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: house side, then one on clothing side, and then one
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: on one on beauty side. Because I didn't even talk
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: about the beauty aspect, like you know, makeup and all
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: that stuff. You get that for dirty too. So all
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: the women like doing all of the they making a
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: lot of money selling all these like.
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: You know, yes, this is the home of this is
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: this is the super Bowl for hustlers, man. So I
- 1:33:50Speaker 5: honestly think we should have probably like I have a
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: two to three hour type of like workshops, seminars something
- 1:33:58Speaker 5: like that just dedicated to like what we're talking about
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: right here, because this can help everybody who's in business,
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: whether it's real estate, business, beauty, everything that you're naming,
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: like help us all save money and make and make
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: more money and more profit. And that's the spirit of
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: Investments is to make more money and who else better
- 1:34:16Speaker 5: to bring it to America than us? Like we need
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: that at Investments.
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I think there's a multiple place too, And we
- 1:34:24Speaker 4: just kind of spoke about it. I'm like, yeah, from
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: the China standpoint is important, but like like you just
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: brought up from an African standpoint is equally as important.
- 1:34:33Speaker 4: Right when we're talking about I guess we travel the continent,
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: how do we invest in infrastructure so that manufacturer can happen?
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: Right? We know what it's going to cost to do
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: it here, but how do we.
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: Make sure that we get the knowledge and we have
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: the people who have the knowledge and who are already
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: building out there from a real estate standpoint, but how
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: do we build industry right? Like that's important too, So
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: like now it's not just a Chinese it's an international
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: investment standpoint, and we got the space to do it.
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: Man, I think we should. We should definitely implement it.
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: Stay tuned.
- 1:35:03Speaker 5: Fast dot com.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: You know that the U r L's dot com and
- 1:35:11Speaker 6: following best Fast on Instagram for all updates because this
- 1:35:16Speaker 6: is gonna be an interesting one year.
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: Five, important five, it's an important one.
- 1:35:25Speaker 5: Yeah, very enlightened conversation fellas this was. I know we
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: went completely off topic, but it was on topic.
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: So I think it was all real estate.
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's timely. Like I said, a lot of
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: people have questions. I got a chance to speak about
- 1:35:40Speaker 3: it on market money is a little bit, but I
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: didn't get a chance to really go in depth and
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: kind of break down, you know, like with I think
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: you can save the most money and best practices and
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: stuff like that. So I think that it was a
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: timely conversation and I'm glad that we had it and
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: hopefully you know, you know, it just opens people's minds.
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: And like I said, we definitely gonna go to some
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: more details, sure, but the first level you got to
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: have just you know, got to open your mind in stages.
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: It's an eighteen hour flight, so we got to make sure,
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: you know, you gotta about this.
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I can tell you change my whole perspective on
- 1:36:12Speaker 5: this because I've been looking at everything do my finishes
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: right now and from kitchens to bathrooms. I mean that
- 1:36:19Speaker 5: was like two hundred k just right there, just to
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: do kitchens and bathrooms in here. And just me this
- 1:36:24Speaker 5: week speaking to the plug just from what she's telling me,
- 1:36:28Speaker 5: I might save myself like one hundred and sixty thousand
- 1:36:30Speaker 5: dollars just on that right there alone. So it's exciting.
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: So who's house parties? First?
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: Yes, we already we see you watching movies. That's still
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: in the movie.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: I need to fight this Chinese grill, all of that, yeah,
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: all of it. Yeah, I gotta test these things out, man.
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: No, it's going to be a good one.
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: I think the beauty of it is that, I mean
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: it just kind of fits with everything we've ever done. Right,
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: Like people get to watch this happen in real time,
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: and they get to learn from it in a real time,
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: and they get to watch us make mistakes in real
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: time and learn from those. And so it's a unique
- 1:37:26Speaker 4: time in history, Like this is never These things have
- 1:37:27Speaker 4: never been done, Like where does this happen?
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: You just hear about it, and.
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: People can kind of like gustimize their thoughts and like
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: this is like a real formulated process, like you've seen
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: it happen, right, you can ask questions about it. We're attainable. Right,
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: people always see us and they're watching these things being implemented.
- 1:37:46Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: And so, like I said, if you.
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: Didn't want to go at very minimum, at least watch
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: a clip and try to learn from it at the
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: bare minimum, right, But if you want to maximize on information.
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: Twenty second through the twenty fourth Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1:38:04Speaker 5: Yeah, Man, shout out to Tie again man because he
- 1:38:06Speaker 5: did a phenomenal job with documenting the journey of a
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: shot and the voiceovers. You need to continue to do
- 1:38:13Speaker 5: those voiceovers. The content is legendary. I felt like I
- 1:38:17Speaker 5: was there walking through China with y'all. Man, So shout
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: out to y'all and the whole team over there in China.
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: Man, we got some long form content that we're gonna
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: put on YouTube too, some vlog style. I did an
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: interview with a brother, one of the African brothers that
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: I met randomly. I just met him and then we
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: went He was actually in his house. It was a
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: very impromptu situation, but he gave us a lot of
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: good insight. So yeah, be on the lookout for that.
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: We'll be dropping. Hopefully we'll be dropping some some YouTube content.
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: People been asking, they've been asking for some long form
- 1:38:48Speaker 3: vlog style. Talk about to turn Eyo to a travel channel.
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, why not? They want to see everything? Right, let
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: him see everything?
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: Why not go along with the ride?
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: Don't worry? Sleep is so separately.
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: General to sound, I keep saying that how you pronounce
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: his name?
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like to sound to soul, me like,
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: was wrough with your boy?
- 1:39:15Speaker 4: I'm like, yo, I'm like, you know, you're gonna create
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: a moment whatever.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: He's not a real person. It's like it's the equivalent
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: of Colonel.
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: Sanders ship learned something everything.
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: No idea. They're like yo, like and then I even
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: spelled it because I'm how did they say it?
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: You know, there there's no saying when you wrote it,
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: how did they say it?
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: Say?
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: Not that he's a real person, but when you wrote
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: the t s o oh.
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: I didn't even ask, but they was like no.
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: They was like, yo, your boy sounds crazy.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: We over here eat in general whatever. And they eating piggy.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: Airs, no, chicken feet.
- 1:39:54Speaker 5: Chicken feet and frogs. I'm like, oh, okay, that's different.
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: They a lot of stuff.
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: My man was like, Yo, you got low Maine.
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: For the wind?
- 1:40:08Speaker 5: Nah, shout out to chaina man. I'm looking for a
- 1:40:11Speaker 5: fantastic voyage.
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: For chicken wings, vegetable rice.
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: Really important.
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: At night in their beds, all tucked in tight man.
- 1:40:24Speaker 3: All right, guys, I think this was the educational conversation
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: that we had tapping. Did you take us to invest.
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: Fast hold on this?
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: This is the last thing because it made me think
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: about it when I was watching Centers and we went
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: to go see Centers at the same time, and there
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: was a point where we watched if you've seen the movie, right,
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: you had an aging couple inside the black community, right,
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: So even when you went to see the African population
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: that is in the country, was it infused inside or
- 1:40:56Speaker 4: was it a specific like how we have Chinatown everywhere?
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: Was it a specific city in that sense?
- 1:41:01Speaker 4: I know it's off top, but I forgot to ask
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: you that someone asking in front of everybody, and.
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: How did that? How did how do was it placed?
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: Well, hey, it's all vibes they played me. Are they
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: have Chinese R and B music that they played me?
- 1:41:11Speaker 3: They love the culture. I didn't feel out of place
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: at all. Very welcome the Africans. It's actually interesting because
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: where the Africans live, so people don't know what there's
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: a lot of Africans that live in China, but they
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: also don't know and I didn't even know. The extent
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: of this is that there's a lot of Chinese Muslims.
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: So the Africans live in the area with Chinese Muslims.
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: I had no idea that there was that many Chinese Muslims.
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: It's a lot, like a lot.
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: I never even heard of a Chinese Muslim, Like.
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: What, yeah, So it's like it's a lot. We got
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: these jabs on, they got the kofies on and they
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: Chinese fully Chinese speaking Mandarin and all that, and like
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: they live in the same area with the Africans. It's interesting,
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: it's eclectic. But yeah, every showroom that I went to
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: has had black art in it, like African art. They
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: have a lot of black art, African art.
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: Yeah, but there wasn't no integration in a sense where
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: like they have a China town in Soho, right, there
- 1:42:16Speaker 4: wasn't like, hey, obviously we know hip hop culture and
- 1:42:20Speaker 4: we've seen that has I mean, it's the greatest export.
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: You can see that the influence. It was just kind
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: of a natural integration like what people was just like
- 1:42:27Speaker 2: businesses just happening.
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: One thing I learned about Chinese culture. They really value money.
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: They don't trip about nothing else, Like how we they're
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: not really tripping. Like even tie was like yo, I
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: don't I don't even feel black because it's not that
- 1:42:41Speaker 3: it don't matter. Didn't matter. It's like, yo, we're gonna
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: do business. We got proper. It wasn't no even like
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: I said, like the Africans, they I see them. I
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: was just observing they you know, they talking to the
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: Chinese people. A lot of them speak Chinese too. That's
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: another thing. A lot of the Africans learned Chinese, or
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: they call it Chinese. So I asked her. I'm like, yo,
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: you speak Mandarin. She was She didn't even even know
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: what I was saying, but I said Mandarin. Shed like
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: we call it Chines, don't. They don't say Mandarin. We
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: say Mandarin, they say Chinese. So but no, it's just
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: it's not it's not second. I mean, the Africans have
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: their own part of town, but it's not segregated like that,
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: like you know, it's just it's vibes like it's no
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: like I didn't. I didn't get no problem for being black.
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: That's what I'm trying to say. Like I didn't feel
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: no way about it at all.
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: There was no That's so here's the interesting part.
- 1:43:33Speaker 4: Because I know you known you long enough, right, I
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: remember when you were in Hong Kong.
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: Obviously different. That was the complete.
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: Opposite even that, so that I got insight. I got
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: insight on that because what they told me, and everybody
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: is different obviously, but they it was because I didn't
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: even bring my Hong Kong experience up. I had a
- 1:43:50Speaker 3: bad experience, right, That's what they told me. They say,
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: your Hong Kong people are rude mm hmm. They like
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: they have bad attitudes, like they Chinese. China has an
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: interest in relationship with Hong Kong. It's similar to Taiwan, Macau.
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: Taiwan and Hong Kong are all islands off the coast
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: of China, and they all have their own flag, but
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: they're all like Chinese territories in a sense. So Hong
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: Kong was colonized by the British. China's very China takes
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: pride that they've had that China's had a civilization for
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: five thousand years and they've never been They've never been
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: colonized or conquered. They take great pride in that Taiwan
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: has been taken by Britain and America. Hong Kong was
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: a colony of Britain. Mikale. I'm not really sure about
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: the Mikaw situation. So they all have their own type
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: of different personality. But how China, how mainland, how the
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: mainland China looks at them is they have a unique
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: way of looking at them. So they actually brought that up.
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: They're like yo, people from Hong Kong super rude. So
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: when they said that, I'm like, okay, it makes sense
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: because I had a bad experience.
- 1:45:07Speaker 4: Because hearing you say that and this is just like
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: if you've watched us long enough, you know that. Like
- 1:45:12Speaker 4: hearing you say that, I remember, the exact opposite is
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: how you feel in Hong Kong.
- 1:45:17Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, so.
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess Hong Kong is a different experience.
- 1:45:20Speaker 4: But I mean what people from that does shouldn't feel
- 1:45:23Speaker 4: feign like well, people will say that about people from
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: New York.
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: No, for sure, you know what I'm saying. I mean,
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: we get you'll get that.
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: It's understandable. Yeah, it makes sense, it's understandable. But I
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: didn't feel any racism at all. I'll say that I
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: felt no racism, not to say that there's no racism
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: in the country. I mean, it's a billion people. Of course
- 1:45:40Speaker 3: it's going to be something. But I can only speak
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: for my own personal experience. And like I said, this
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: is what Tie our camera guys said, everybody felt the
- 1:45:47Speaker 3: same way. We didn't feel I didn't feel uncomfortable. I
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: didn't see one police the whole time I was there.
- 1:45:55Speaker 5: You felt safe.
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: That was super safe, no trash on the streets, super clean.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: It's no problem. Like, there's no problem. I never felt
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: like it was a problem at all.
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: Well, ladies and gentlemen China.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: China Too featuring MG Yeah No.
