- 0:04Speaker 1: Episode one hundred, Episode one hundred, Hey, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome.
- 0:14Speaker 1: It's episode one hundred of the bootleg Head podcast. This
- 0:17Speaker 1: is a big deal. Last year in June, I decided
- 0:22Speaker 1: to launch this podcast after two or three years of procrastinating,
- 0:26Speaker 1: meant to launch this thing in twenty seventeen. Finally, in
- 0:30Speaker 1: the middle of a pandemic, I got the motivation to
- 0:32Speaker 1: launch the boutleg Heab podcast and it's been going great. Man,
- 0:35Speaker 1: we're about to hit one hundred thousand on YouTube. Appreciate
- 0:38Speaker 1: everyone who always reaches out about all the episodes. Man. Really,
- 0:42Speaker 1: just I'm gonna try to do more with the podcast too,
- 0:44Speaker 1: because I feel like we started the podcast we're doing
- 0:47Speaker 1: like more like cool podcasting shit, like having like hip
- 0:50Speaker 1: hop discussions that were like audio only that weren't necessarily
- 0:52Speaker 1: interview driven. So gonna try to bring back some of
- 0:55Speaker 1: that stuff because lately we've just been doing just going
- 0:58Speaker 1: hard on interviews, and we're still gonna go hard on interviews.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna go hard on our pants. So those two
- 1:04Speaker 1: things are definitively gonna happen, but also just other things,
- 1:08Speaker 1: like we're gonna start going live on the YouTube more
- 1:11Speaker 1: I just want to say thank you. If you've ever
- 1:12Speaker 1: listened or watched any of the show, thank you for
- 1:16Speaker 1: real fucking fuck with y'all. I appreciate it. Even if
- 1:19Speaker 1: you're like a Doe who hates and talk shit about
- 1:22Speaker 1: all in the comments whatever, it's all the same, you're
- 1:25Speaker 1: still watching. Appreciate it. So for episode one hundred, we
- 1:30Speaker 1: were gonna do Freddy Gibbs, but Freddy Gibbs was out
- 1:35Speaker 1: of the state of California for a week, so you know,
- 1:40Speaker 1: Freddi Gibbs was episode one. We kicked it off with
- 1:43Speaker 1: fred and it obviously would have been dope to have
- 1:47Speaker 1: him on episode one hundred, but he'll be on like
- 1:50Speaker 1: an episode real soon. I mean I talk to him
- 1:52Speaker 1: every day. It is what it is. Instead, for episode
- 1:55Speaker 1: one hundred, we were like, let's do Whack one hundred,
- 2:01Speaker 1: one of the more crazy polarizing figures in rap that
- 2:07Speaker 1: we have right now, someone who I consider to be
- 2:10Speaker 1: a real friend, someone who, whether you like him or not,
- 2:15Speaker 1: is obviously you watch him. One of our most successful
- 2:19Speaker 1: interviews and episodes with Whack one hundred. And you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: Whack is a guy who I always say like, Whack
- 2:27Speaker 1: will give you game, even when he's not trying. So
- 2:30Speaker 1: we brought Whack one hundred back on the podcast for
- 2:34Speaker 1: the hundredth episode Whack one hundred. Let me tell you
- 2:37Speaker 1: what actually happened. We recorded an hour and a half
- 2:40Speaker 1: with Whack, he leaves, and then all of a sudden
- 2:45Speaker 1: online it's pretty much being talked like Whack is managing
- 2:50Speaker 1: six ' nine. And now this is like after we
- 2:55Speaker 1: have a long discussion about his talks with six ' nine.
- 2:59Speaker 1: So I'm like, yo, Whack, you got to come back
- 3:01Speaker 1: up here and be a little bit more specific. When
- 3:03Speaker 1: you're talking about setting up forty three million dollar deals
- 3:06Speaker 1: for six ' nine, are you managing him or not?
- 3:08Speaker 1: So he came back up to kind of give us
- 3:10Speaker 1: some more clarification on his situation with six ' nine.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So there's a The front end of this interview was
- 3:17Speaker 1: just recorded. The back end of the interview was recorded
- 3:21Speaker 1: last week, and uh, just the press play enjoy it.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Craziness about the Ray J sex tape piece holding on
- 3:27Speaker 1: mean Whack guy. So much crazy shit in this interview,
- 3:30Speaker 1: so enjoy it. Feel free to talk shit. Uh and
- 3:35Speaker 1: uh yeah, shout out to our sponsors. Man, really want
- 3:37Speaker 1: to give a shout out to odd Socks. It's our
- 3:39Speaker 1: one hundredth episode, and odd Socks has been holding us
- 3:41Speaker 1: down since like episode twenty, maybe episode fifteen, maybe episode ten,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I don't know, but they've been holding us down from
- 3:48Speaker 1: the jump from the Rippy since August of twenty twenty,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and we launched at the end of June. So odds Socks,
- 3:58Speaker 1: there are are are are partners, there are brothers. We
- 4:02Speaker 1: want to shot them out. Go to odd socksofficial dot com.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Use the keyword bootleg CAV. Save twenty percent off of
- 4:07Speaker 1: your or teur odd socksofficial dot com keyword bootleg keV. Listen,
- 4:13Speaker 1: they got the socks, they got the underwear. If you
- 4:15Speaker 1: want I don't know, breaking bad socks. If you want
- 4:19Speaker 1: fruit Loops underwear, pop Tarts underwear, I don't know what
- 4:22Speaker 1: the fuck you're into, but they do got fucking cup
- 4:25Speaker 1: of noodles, fucking slides as well. Twenty percent off. Use
- 4:28Speaker 1: the UH I always say, use the keyword I'm such
- 4:30Speaker 1: a radio guy. Go to real Lane two three la
- 4:33Speaker 1: dot com keyword festival and get it. No use the
- 4:35Speaker 1: promo code. It's a fucking promo code. Why don't I
- 4:39Speaker 1: call it a promo code. Use the fucking promo code
- 4:42Speaker 1: bootleg keV twenty percent off odd socksofficial dot com. Let's
- 4:46Speaker 1: get into episode one hundred it's the Bootleg Cab Podcast
- 4:49Speaker 1: one hundredth episode. So we recorded like an hour and
- 4:53Speaker 1: a half with you, and then you left, and then
- 4:57Speaker 1: like ten minutes after you left, there was this headline
- 5:01Speaker 1: about you leaving a comment about how much money you've
- 5:04Speaker 1: lined up for six ' nine, And then there's some
- 5:05Speaker 1: audio that's out there now and we had just had this.
- 5:08Speaker 1: We just had this long conversation that was a little
- 5:12Speaker 1: I guess that wasn't out there yet, so I was like, yo, whack,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you gotta come back in. So this is the beginning
- 5:17Speaker 1: of the interview. You're gonna keep watching this. There's there's
- 5:19Speaker 1: a lot of gems throughout the rest of the interview,
- 5:22Speaker 1: but there is some six nine stuff that might be
- 5:23Speaker 1: a little dated. So whack, let me just start this.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Are you managing six ' nine? I'm definitely not, I
- 5:31Speaker 1: think at this time in six nine career, and from
- 5:36Speaker 1: what he's been through, the word manager is not appealing
- 5:41Speaker 1: to him. Right. It'll take for anybody that wants to
- 5:45Speaker 1: beat at the six nine you're gonna have to be
- 5:48Speaker 1: in a box with him and do a bunch of
- 5:50Speaker 1: business for him to establish some type of trust. But
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't think six ' nine is manageable to a
- 6:00Speaker 1: point where he's gonna let somebody control the narrative. Would you?
- 6:06Speaker 1: What he will or has allowed is for me to
- 6:12Speaker 1: utilize his name and the buildings that I have some
- 6:17Speaker 1: say so in and relationships in to do some business.
- 6:20Speaker 1: If it's and it's there. If he came to you
- 6:23Speaker 1: and said, whack, I would want you to be my manager,
- 6:25Speaker 1: would you consider it? At this point in time, I
- 6:32Speaker 1: couldn't be one hundred percent management of sixty nine. Could
- 6:36Speaker 1: you be like a co manager with the Murder Murphy
- 6:39Speaker 1: with the Murder Murphy guy whoever? Definitely I wouldn't do
- 6:41Speaker 1: that either. What I would do is I have a
- 6:44Speaker 1: lot of management teams out there, a lot of people
- 6:46Speaker 1: that I'm friends with that I'm real cool with, that
- 6:49Speaker 1: I know that understand this business like I understand it.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I would probably negotiate something with them and put them
- 6:54Speaker 1: in place. But at this time where he's at right,
- 7:00Speaker 1: a full time manager is not what he needs. He
- 7:05Speaker 1: just needs somebody that has the resources in the reach
- 7:10Speaker 1: to get things done, y'all. To remember, before he left,
- 7:13Speaker 1: he would run around with a bunch of street dudes
- 7:15Speaker 1: claiming to be a manager, right right. I used to
- 7:18Speaker 1: be the street dude that didn't understand the industry. So
- 7:21Speaker 1: I understand the difference between the street dude claiming the
- 7:24Speaker 1: title versus really living that title, you know what I mean.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So I think what a lot of people see, like
- 7:31Speaker 1: watch this, who's little nas X manager? I have no idea,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you know why? Because their management team operates from a building,
- 7:41Speaker 1: the cell phone to attorneys, and they send their little
- 7:45Speaker 1: assistant guy out to make sure shit's done right. What
- 7:49Speaker 1: you guys are used to whack doing is I'm hands
- 7:52Speaker 1: on with my artists. And we know, right, we know
- 7:55Speaker 1: like whack manager's blue face, we know whack managers games,
- 7:58Speaker 1: j etcetera. Yeah, I'm hands on with our artists. So
- 8:01Speaker 1: when people see them, they see me. It's a it's
- 8:03Speaker 1: a direct thing. Right With a guy like six ' nine, right,
- 8:11Speaker 1: something like that probably will be set up. Would he
- 8:13Speaker 1: asks me one day, a whack could you set me up?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Or do you know these dudes? He probably would because
- 8:19Speaker 1: in a short period of time, all I've done was
- 8:23Speaker 1: you got a product right? Six Now, let's take away
- 8:26Speaker 1: all the bullshit. He's a product right when you're talking
- 8:30Speaker 1: about business, right, entertainment? If you have a product. If
- 8:33Speaker 1: I got this phone right, and this is the six '
- 8:37Speaker 1: nine phone, right, and I know that I have distribution
- 8:41Speaker 1: reach in twelve countries because of my prior relationships, I
- 8:46Speaker 1: can box this phone up, mail it out to each
- 8:50Speaker 1: country my liaison and say hey, can you guys do
- 8:54Speaker 1: something with this phone. They're gonna say, well, whack, we
- 8:59Speaker 1: heard a few things about this phone. But are we
- 9:02Speaker 1: dealing with you directly? And I'm going to say, yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you're dealing with me directly. You won't have to deal
- 9:09Speaker 1: with the guy on the phone, right And they say, okay, wa,
- 9:13Speaker 1: based upon me our relationship, yeah, we could distribute five
- 9:17Speaker 1: million phones a year for you, right, Okay, my attorney
- 9:21Speaker 1: will be in touch with you at that point in time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Is just be a contract, a letter, direction and the signature,
- 9:31Speaker 1: so you know essentially what you're doing is contracting your
- 9:39Speaker 1: services to six ' nine. Know what I'm doing is
- 9:43Speaker 1: like making sure you have listen, he has a he
- 9:50Speaker 1: has a value to himself, right, right, And I have
- 9:54Speaker 1: resources for the things that's valuable about this young kid. Right.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So simply what I'm doing is I'm just bringing them together,
- 10:03Speaker 1: bringing them together, and you're getting your cut. That's it obviously,
- 10:07Speaker 1: Oh definitely, yeah, that's business is business. So and it's
- 10:12Speaker 1: not an extra cut on top of a cut, because
- 10:17Speaker 1: he is who he is, you know what I mean.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Some people will say, well, fuck that, you're putting your
- 10:23Speaker 1: name on the line. You should get fifty what you
- 10:27Speaker 1: get what you would normally get, right, And you know
- 10:30Speaker 1: some people might want to play it like that, right,
- 10:32Speaker 1: But in my world, it's like, you know, greed, you
- 10:35Speaker 1: know you greed, don't get you nowhere? You know what
- 10:38Speaker 1: I mean, Do what you do, take it, keep it moving.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Maybe y'all do some more business later. Maybe you won't.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But if you gouge a person, it's a good chance
- 10:47Speaker 1: you won't, especially if you know that they're in a
- 10:49Speaker 1: situation where they might have to do it. You know
- 10:51Speaker 1: what I'm saying. A person knows that, then they know
- 10:53Speaker 1: that he could have gouged me, but he didn't. You
- 10:58Speaker 1: know what I mean. I've gotten all kind of phone calls, movies,
- 11:02Speaker 1: NFT touring, I mean, fucking you name it, crazy shit,
- 11:07Speaker 1: God damn, I ain't gonna name it. Endorsement where people
- 11:10Speaker 1: contact my attorney. My attorneys, Yeah, my attorney. Where they
- 11:16Speaker 1: contact my attorney because they're like, well, wha we can
- 11:18Speaker 1: can we talk to you? We've been wanting to do
- 11:21Speaker 1: this business, right, so can we send this to you
- 11:27Speaker 1: and can you let us know if this could happen. Hey, listen, bro,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I understand why guys in the streets are saying what
- 11:33Speaker 1: they're saying about you working with them. The reason why
- 11:37Speaker 1: I understand them because I used to be that guy
- 11:40Speaker 1: when I was like fifteen years old. Right. I don't
- 11:44Speaker 1: expect that guy to understand what I'm doing because that
- 11:47Speaker 1: guy hasn't elevated. He don't even understand business. He probably
- 11:51Speaker 1: still hustling in the streets whatever he's doing, right, So
- 11:54Speaker 1: I understand his mindset because I used to have that
- 11:56Speaker 1: mindset right when I was adolescent. Right. Corporate America in
- 12:03Speaker 1: the streets two total different worlds. I mean, that's what
- 12:07Speaker 1: you're saying. You'll see later on in the interview where
- 12:10Speaker 1: you were talking about the people up on that fiftieth floors.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Not a lot of people get on that floor, you
- 12:16Speaker 1: know what I mean? Hand picked me and said you're
- 12:20Speaker 1: gonna be the one to go in and represent us
- 12:22Speaker 1: and none of that. You know what it does sound
- 12:25Speaker 1: like though, you're kind of like doing a lot of
- 12:27Speaker 1: stuff that a manager would do for him. Well, I
- 12:31Speaker 1: don't know, because I can't tell you what six nine
- 12:34Speaker 1: life can consist of. Day to day. You asked me
- 12:37Speaker 1: about game ray Jo Blue Face. I can tell you
- 12:39Speaker 1: pretty much day to day, week by week, of course,
- 12:42Speaker 1: month by month on what we gotta do. I can't
- 12:46Speaker 1: tell you what he's doing. I can't tell you where
- 12:48Speaker 1: he is right now, what he has to do tomorrow.
- 12:51Speaker 1: The only thing I can elaborate on if somebody tells me,
- 12:55Speaker 1: hey man, we want to do a tour from January
- 12:58Speaker 1: fifteenth to the fucking March, and I could say, well,
- 13:01Speaker 1: from January fifteen, he'll be on tour in Europe, right,
- 13:04Speaker 1: if that was the case, right, I know that because
- 13:07Speaker 1: it's been contracted. So I don't, you know. I don't
- 13:10Speaker 1: know what his day to day, what he's doing, what
- 13:12Speaker 1: other situation he's doing, all his deals and all his paperwork.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I don't know who's overseeing those things. Some would say, like,
- 13:19Speaker 1: at least from my perspective, I think like, if he's
- 13:22Speaker 1: ever going to be relevant again musically, he almost needs
- 13:26Speaker 1: a Whack one hundred. No, because I'm not saying I
- 13:29Speaker 1: don't mean don't. I don't make his music. I wouldn't
- 13:32Speaker 1: know how to make his music. But I just think
- 13:34Speaker 1: it makes the six ' nine pill a little easier
- 13:36Speaker 1: to swallow. If Whack one hundred is that's what y'all
- 13:40Speaker 1: keep getting it wrong at the whack one hundred crowd, right,
- 13:45Speaker 1: is no different than the blue Face crowd. They don't
- 13:48Speaker 1: give a fuck what I think now. The game crowd
- 13:52Speaker 1: is my crowd, right. It's people from my generation and
- 13:55Speaker 1: a little under me that that's his fan base. The
- 14:00Speaker 1: six nine crowd wouldn't give a fuck if it was
- 14:02Speaker 1: Whacked one hundred, the daff he duck or nobody at all.
- 14:05Speaker 1: They're into his music. I couldn't even tell you the
- 14:08Speaker 1: chemistry of this young man's music. I don't know what
- 14:10Speaker 1: producers he worked with. You haven't been helping him at
- 14:13Speaker 1: all with music. Feature has never been in the studio
- 14:15Speaker 1: with him. I've never done anything like that. I don't
- 14:18Speaker 1: feelly need a feature personally. But you've heard the new music,
- 14:22Speaker 1: oh definitely. And we heard about four songs. What's your
- 14:25Speaker 1: opinion on it? Oh, he got some hits, their hits.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I've called in people that hate his guts Radio hate
- 14:32Speaker 1: sixty nine guts, and they said, I hate the fact
- 14:38Speaker 1: that I like this music and I hate this individual. Right.
- 14:43Speaker 1: The product is the product. It ain't you know, it's
- 14:47Speaker 1: not my cot of music, right, but his fan base, Yeah,
- 14:53Speaker 1: he's there. What I will say is, if I have
- 14:58Speaker 1: anything to do with any other music, we definitely have
- 15:03Speaker 1: understanding that there's no disrespecting anybody dead at homies or
- 15:09Speaker 1: any artists in particular. You know what I'm saying, Whatever
- 15:13Speaker 1: I touch gotta be just music. And I think really
- 15:16Speaker 1: he's got a point in his career where he shouldn't
- 15:18Speaker 1: have to do that anymore anyway. So you guys, you
- 15:20Speaker 1: pretty much have an agreement with him that if you
- 15:22Speaker 1: do get involved on the music side, that the disrespect
- 15:25Speaker 1: has to anything I touched. I mean, I don't know.
- 15:28Speaker 1: He may go do some other random shit. That's his business.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I can't control that. But if I'm touching it, right,
- 15:34Speaker 1: it it can't be you know what I mean. You're
- 15:37Speaker 1: talking about you know, somebody's dead, shit like that. I'm
- 15:41Speaker 1: really not off into that, so is that something that
- 15:44Speaker 1: you think is gonna end up happening where you're kind
- 15:46Speaker 1: of like helping him out on the music side. I've
- 15:50Speaker 1: looked at his contracts because I needed to understand that
- 15:56Speaker 1: was what, you know what I mean, because it's a
- 15:58Speaker 1: lot of things that goes along with you know, publishing
- 16:01Speaker 1: deals and things of that nature. He still signed to
- 16:05Speaker 1: who he's signed to, right, you know, that's still their business,
- 16:08Speaker 1: you know. But I will look at his contract because
- 16:11Speaker 1: if he has any questions about what's going on or
- 16:13Speaker 1: what's not going on, I need to be at a
- 16:14Speaker 1: answer that, right which you know, I got a legal team,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you know, my attorney, sam Rod Singe, is one of
- 16:20Speaker 1: the best in the business. So he overlooks everything to
- 16:23Speaker 1: see what's what was what. And I'm not really here
- 16:25Speaker 1: to rough on these feathers out of his label to
- 16:27Speaker 1: take him from one label to another label. His comfort
- 16:31Speaker 1: zone is whereas being it really needs to be there,
- 16:34Speaker 1: right But if a questions asked to me, I need
- 16:37Speaker 1: to be at a answer that I understand that because
- 16:39Speaker 1: if I'm doing business over here, let's say a movie situation,
- 16:42Speaker 1: they say, hey, we want him to do the soundtrack, right,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I need to understand what his obligations to his label is.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Can this be done, does just have to run through
- 16:51Speaker 1: his label? Just something that can be done independently, you know,
- 16:55Speaker 1: without going that direction. So that's the reason why I
- 16:57Speaker 1: look through those type of things. That forty three million dollars,
- 17:00Speaker 1: there's a business you've set up a little more than that,
- 17:02Speaker 1: but a little bit more than that, right. You gotta
- 17:04Speaker 1: remember you're talking about the artists. Man, that's good for
- 17:06Speaker 1: like five eight thousand tickets that ain't never been on tour.
- 17:10Speaker 1: You do the math, you know what I'm saying. You know,
- 17:12Speaker 1: so that so that that vastly is live show. You
- 17:16Speaker 1: got it. You got no you gotta fight in there's
- 17:18Speaker 1: twenty million, so the blue face fight. Yeah. You got
- 17:22Speaker 1: NFT deals in there, multiple NFT deals and you set
- 17:25Speaker 1: all this up crazy. Uh. You got publishing situations, that's crazy.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Your quarterbacked at all. You got torn European torn, that's
- 17:34Speaker 1: you know, that's crazy. You gotta remember all my tours
- 17:39Speaker 1: I route, me and my wife route and you guys
- 17:42Speaker 1: have been on other side. N ain't finn but all
- 17:46Speaker 1: my tours I route. You know, my wife does all
- 17:49Speaker 1: the coss and the cleans, passport cleanses. I do the booking,
- 17:54Speaker 1: all the hotels, the back line gang, travels with a band, tour,
- 17:59Speaker 1: busting flights, do it all. I do all that shit
- 18:01Speaker 1: on his phone. You know, agency ain't none of that, right,
- 18:04Speaker 1: So uh, it's nothing all the fairy costs or bus routing.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You remember, I own the truck, had been twenty some years,
- 18:10Speaker 1: so it's the same shit. So I do all of that.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So it's just a simple text blast. Hey listen, you know,
- 18:16Speaker 1: give me some feedback on what you guys could do. Right.
- 18:19Speaker 1: He's just a ring he's an arena artist. So when
- 18:23Speaker 1: you think about it's a lot of money, man, Yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you think about it. You you talking about a minimum
- 18:27Speaker 1: of three fifty that can go up to access to
- 18:30Speaker 1: you know, once you do your back in, cut up
- 18:32Speaker 1: or your splits at the doors a merger seven hundred
- 18:36Speaker 1: and fifty thousand dollars a night. So it really ain't
- 18:38Speaker 1: no money that I put out. There's some money, but
- 18:40Speaker 1: if you do the math on that, it accumulates, it
- 18:43Speaker 1: adds up, and I mean, yeah, I mean shit, that's
- 18:46Speaker 1: a lot. Do we know any sort of window when
- 18:49Speaker 1: we can this fight's gonna happen. It's not gonna happen
- 18:53Speaker 1: in the US, Okay, So it's gonna probably be overseas
- 18:57Speaker 1: Middle East, Saudi Araby somewhere you buy or something, probably
- 19:00Speaker 1: not Dubai. Dubai and Bahrain may come together and do
- 19:04Speaker 1: something with Saudi. Sadi's kind of making a move to
- 19:06Speaker 1: be like Dubai. So we're looking at putting it over there.
- 19:09Speaker 1: The good thing about it is the actual Minister of
- 19:11Speaker 1: Finance of Entertainment over there is the one handling it personally.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Oh wow, but that's a resource. That's a resource I
- 19:19Speaker 1: had that you can reach straight there. I ain't gotta
- 19:21Speaker 1: go over here, so you know, at the end of
- 19:23Speaker 1: the day, Uh, it'll happen over there. But even with that,
- 19:26Speaker 1: that's just a flat feed. You know, once it's announced,
- 19:29Speaker 1: now you got to think about, you know, taking Starbucks
- 19:32Speaker 1: and paper view shows and maybe you know, fucking coke sponsorship.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Sponsorship is gonna come. So that's just business man, and
- 19:39Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe I've I've matured and grown to
- 19:42Speaker 1: a point to where some ship don't matter to me,
- 19:47Speaker 1: the ship that we used to matter to you, that
- 19:48Speaker 1: would keep you up at night, like don't don't I
- 19:50Speaker 1: mean at the end of the day. I mean, listen,
- 19:53Speaker 1: it was a point in my life, this real ship
- 19:55Speaker 1: that if I was out in public and uh me
- 19:58Speaker 1: and my homeboys and somebody told me, yo, that's that
- 20:01Speaker 1: nigga cav dog for motherfucking San Diego. Yeah, we rolled
- 20:06Speaker 1: him up off the yard because he snitched on the nigga. Right,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm not from San Diego, I wasn't on the yard,
- 20:12Speaker 1: don't know him. At a point in my life, I
- 20:13Speaker 1: had have did something to that man, just because of
- 20:18Speaker 1: the politics that I was under. Right today, you could
- 20:22Speaker 1: tell me, hey, yo, that's such and such, such and such,
- 20:25Speaker 1: such and such, such and such. I don't give a
- 20:28Speaker 1: fuck business south of the mind, it's not my business.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Whoever need to deal with that, need to deal with
- 20:33Speaker 1: that for real. Now, I'm a strong belief in street business,
- 20:39Speaker 1: street conversation, street talk, my homeboys, in my neighborhood, other
- 20:45Speaker 1: domus or whatever the fuck. You know what I mean.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I would never use the value of a bag of
- 20:49Speaker 1: any of that to bring that around six ' nine,
- 20:52Speaker 1: because that was part of his problem. When that element
- 20:54Speaker 1: comes around, he feeds off into it, and I really
- 20:57Speaker 1: think he needs another element around him. He needs a
- 21:00Speaker 1: more him leaning into the YouTube shit. He he needs
- 21:04Speaker 1: a more uh you know, uh, you know Todd of
- 21:09Speaker 1: the creator type surrounding around. Here's somebody that's now what
- 21:14Speaker 1: Steve will do it, which is perfect. I don't know
- 21:16Speaker 1: if you know the Milk Boy dudes, but that's he's
- 21:18Speaker 1: on the Milk Boys like every week. I think that's
- 21:20Speaker 1: like right up his ye. He needs to get in
- 21:22Speaker 1: his lane, bro, and be around his people, you know
- 21:24Speaker 1: what I mean, and how to proper people around you
- 21:26Speaker 1: know what I mean, like like my my demographic and
- 21:30Speaker 1: what I bring is not what needs to be around
- 21:34Speaker 1: him every day. You know, I got a little crazy
- 21:37Speaker 1: crip nigga. I got game. That's a g par rule,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I got ray J. That
- 21:41Speaker 1: is what he is, you know what I mean. So
- 21:44Speaker 1: I gotta maintain those elements to make sure my people
- 21:47Speaker 1: are straight. I can't put that around that because it's
- 21:51Speaker 1: totally contradicting of what I'm saying. He shouldn't have never
- 21:54Speaker 1: been a part of you. You and my son have
- 21:58Speaker 1: had some words before on the internet. He's someone who
- 22:00Speaker 1: used to be affiliated with the game back in the day, right,
- 22:03Speaker 1: I mean, he went on a tour too, right, right right.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I didn't know if he was ever a Black Wall
- 22:07Speaker 1: Street official. Never he went on the tour. But uh,
- 22:09Speaker 1: you know, he's somebody who's out no disrespect my sound is.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say it was my man. He's still
- 22:15Speaker 1: my man. It was just getting a little weird because
- 22:17Speaker 1: we've always done our debates, right, That's what I'm gonna say.
- 22:21Speaker 1: It seems like it's a at least a semi respectful
- 22:24Speaker 1: disagreement at least. But he's I seen some ship last
- 22:28Speaker 1: night he put up. Yeah, I saw what he put
- 22:30Speaker 1: up last night. And I think my son is like
- 22:32Speaker 1: a great leader, like you know, as far as you
- 22:34Speaker 1: know everything that's been going on, I mean just always
- 22:37Speaker 1: you can look for my song for like direction as
- 22:39Speaker 1: far as like if you want to know, I mean,
- 22:40Speaker 1: that's what he turned itself into. It's kind of like
- 22:42Speaker 1: this like Martin Luther King type revolutionary type that which
- 22:47Speaker 1: is kind of confusing because like, yo, listen, if you
- 22:49Speaker 1: that stop talking about street ship, M my sign and
- 22:53Speaker 1: like that's my man. I didn't see my son by myself.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It's all love, like you know, it's people that's in
- 22:59Speaker 1: New York got a ten. They didn't hurt me and
- 23:00Speaker 1: my sign orchestrating shit over the phone. That's my man like,
- 23:04Speaker 1: I don't want to see nothing happen to him. I
- 23:06Speaker 1: don't got that and my heart to do nothing to him.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But on the flip side, my sign, I had nothing
- 23:11Speaker 1: to say when you was running around with Vlad. We
- 23:13Speaker 1: all knew. You know, Rick Ross never said nothing either
- 23:16Speaker 1: Nigga suwing Rick Ross lawsuits, criminal cases and filing shit.
- 23:21Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, because Rick Ross then whooped
- 23:22Speaker 1: on Blad ass talk street shit. You run around with Blad,
- 23:26Speaker 1: but you know why he was running around with Lad
- 23:28Speaker 1: because Vlad was giving you your exposed platform, your platform,
- 23:32Speaker 1: which is business understood. That was business understood that You
- 23:35Speaker 1: wasn't runing around with Blad saying Nigga this Blad TV
- 23:38Speaker 1: or nothing Nigga would ever come with. You wasn't doing that.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You were utilizing that platform because Blad is a big
- 23:44Speaker 1: plat shoot and you were doing your rap thing or
- 23:47Speaker 1: whatever it is you was doing, and I was working
- 23:49Speaker 1: for you. Right, I didn't say hey, my sign and
- 23:52Speaker 1: we talked. I got long phone history with my sign
- 23:55Speaker 1: text messages for years, right, ain't my sign on some
- 23:59Speaker 1: real streets. Shit, what you're doing with blag You know
- 24:03Speaker 1: he's doing that the Rick ross A Street nigga. It
- 24:07Speaker 1: was business. But I don't know. I think maybe he
- 24:10Speaker 1: runs out of things to talk about. And if he
- 24:12Speaker 1: runs out of things to talk about, by all means,
- 24:15Speaker 1: as a brother, he can utilize my name to bring
- 24:17Speaker 1: some publicity to him. I ain't mad at that. It's entertainment.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I ain't tripping. I mean, that's that's not that's a yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm not a very mature way of looking at it.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm not tripping. Okay, we talked before the camera's rolling,
- 24:28Speaker 1: and I'm not going to use anything to all my
- 24:30Speaker 1: people that it be known. Yeah, my sign and my
- 24:33Speaker 1: book is not my enemy. Everybody that loved me that
- 24:38Speaker 1: are just moved for me without saying nothing. I don't
- 24:40Speaker 1: want nobody ever to approach my sign in a threatening
- 24:43Speaker 1: way or question him about anything that got to do
- 24:46Speaker 1: with WAG one hundred. That's between me and my soign period.
- 24:50Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Period some real shit. I
- 24:54Speaker 1: want to kind of peel the curtain back a bit
- 24:56Speaker 1: without mentioning any direct names or albums. But you had
- 25:01Speaker 1: said essentially let's have the conversation we have before the
- 25:05Speaker 1: cameras rolling, but let's exclude all names, right that you
- 25:09Speaker 1: had helped a recent project. Yeah, hit a crazy amount
- 25:16Speaker 1: of streams its first week, and we're talking a big,
- 25:20Speaker 1: big project. All the people guess in the comments, but
- 25:22Speaker 1: you know, there's only been a few of these projects
- 25:24Speaker 1: that have dropped this year that everyone's talked about. So
- 25:26Speaker 1: explain what happened and kind of peel back the curtain
- 25:31Speaker 1: of bit on the industry and how a lot of
- 25:33Speaker 1: this I mean, listen, I'm gonna say it in hun terms.
- 25:38Speaker 1: The process of music, it starts with the artists, the
- 25:42Speaker 1: appearance of the artists, the you know, the studio time,
- 25:46Speaker 1: the production, all that, mixed, mastering, write the video and
- 25:50Speaker 1: all that. After that comes to marketing. Right. You can't
- 25:54Speaker 1: spend to our indie guys teen fifteen thousand on the
- 26:00Speaker 1: song and then nothing on marketing. Bigger the artist is
- 26:04Speaker 1: the bigger, the situation is the bigger, the marketing budget
- 26:08Speaker 1: is right, and when it comes to marketing, it's a
- 26:11Speaker 1: real brainwashing process that people don't understand. Right, you have
- 26:16Speaker 1: seeding companies, So what I mean by seeding is like
- 26:21Speaker 1: you'll be looking up and you'll say little baby donates
- 26:26Speaker 1: fifteen thousand to the schools for books. It'll be on
- 26:29Speaker 1: a random thing, right, you don't understand it has you
- 26:33Speaker 1: thinking about a little baby Little d Dog? Does one
- 26:36Speaker 1: mean streams of twenty four hours? If you don't know
- 26:39Speaker 1: who Little de Dog is, you're gonna hit that link.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Who the fuck is is? Oh? Oh, follow, oh that's
- 26:44Speaker 1: your song stream? Right. So it's a lot of other
- 26:49Speaker 1: types of marketing outside of this, just putting your shit
- 26:51Speaker 1: up right, just like radio. Bro, you work radio, of course,
- 26:55Speaker 1: they have mixed show, right, and you have your ads,
- 27:00Speaker 1: then you have your positioning leading up to your rotation.
- 27:05Speaker 1: It's been songs. I've hated Lil Wayne, one of the
- 27:08Speaker 1: greatest of all time. I hated Lollipop six weeks, seven
- 27:13Speaker 1: weeks in the radio, two o'clock in the morning, I'm
- 27:17Speaker 1: driving up the freeway. Ciga showed you on the thing right,
- 27:23Speaker 1: Because I'm hearing this shit so much mentally, my mind
- 27:28Speaker 1: started to like it. So it's the same shit when
- 27:30Speaker 1: it comes to digital marketing, right, it's a whole nother
- 27:34Speaker 1: process that happens for us to holler out an artists
- 27:38Speaker 1: and keep it in front of you. And by that
- 27:41Speaker 1: like boosting streams, I mean stream that's streams are boosted. Body,
- 27:48Speaker 1: you know, by doing these things. Okay, people follow the
- 27:52Speaker 1: number bro. Like let's say, for instance, we watched Kanye
- 27:56Speaker 1: and Drake. They already have a fan base, right, but
- 28:00Speaker 1: every day you saw Donda does this many streams right
- 28:08Speaker 1: right now, let's erase Donda, Kanye and Drake, and let's
- 28:12Speaker 1: say it's a little e right or True Card, one
- 28:18Speaker 1: of my artists, True Card streams two millions twenty four hours. Right.
- 28:22Speaker 1: The people that follow True Card that didn't know that
- 28:25Speaker 1: was there are gonna go. And the people that don't
- 28:28Speaker 1: know True Card, they gonna say, who the fuck is
- 28:30Speaker 1: True Card? Let go see what they're talking about right now.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Money was spent for these things to be put in
- 28:37Speaker 1: front of you. So when you work in ten fifteen
- 28:39Speaker 1: different platforms from your you know, the smallest own up right,
- 28:44Speaker 1: that happens so that in turn drives the stream. Right.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Not only does it drive the stream, it creates your
- 28:53Speaker 1: fan base. That's your ticket sales at your concerts. So
- 28:57Speaker 1: what you would do is have a digital marketing income
- 29:00Speaker 1: definitely that you inside digital. You would drop a bag
- 29:03Speaker 1: with and then there they would get your song on
- 29:06Speaker 1: a ship ton of us your curated playlist that not
- 29:08Speaker 1: not only that, even on your YouTube side. You know
- 29:11Speaker 1: you can run ads, right, so you can do YouTube
- 29:13Speaker 1: ads on one side. Then on the seven times you've
- 29:15Speaker 1: been watching fucking uh the babies and then somebody person
- 29:19Speaker 1: and I'm watching strictly that ship I'm working out, video
- 29:22Speaker 1: comes along one of his right, there's about four songs
- 29:25Speaker 1: come on to. This is how I discovered Rod Waves.
- 29:27Speaker 1: No Ship Wow, crazy about Rod Ray one of my
- 29:31Speaker 1: favorite young rappers. He's incredible. Right, I'm working out and
- 29:34Speaker 1: I'm listening to uh, you know, uh the Baby Ship
- 29:38Speaker 1: and uh out of Nowhere fuck song? Come on Now,
- 29:42Speaker 1: I don't think rod Wave just came on because it
- 29:44Speaker 1: came on. That's programming. Did what they did ad buys
- 29:49Speaker 1: right from that, I'm now I follow rod Wave. I stream.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It's now a day that's went by in the last
- 29:55Speaker 1: year that I haven't listened to rod Waves music off
- 29:58Speaker 1: of Spotify, right, and I've since then shared it. What
- 30:02Speaker 1: about a hundred of my friends and that's my age
- 30:05Speaker 1: and that's how this works. Fuck with this youngster. Now,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I don't know how many people charity with and this
- 30:11Speaker 1: hard as works not how many people like me discovered
- 30:14Speaker 1: it like that? Right, And these are the things that
- 30:17Speaker 1: people just simply don't know about. When people say the
- 30:20Speaker 1: machine at the labels, not only is the finance there,
- 30:25Speaker 1: but the politics of relationships there that says when certain
- 30:28Speaker 1: labels called, they're gonna get a slide. You know what
- 30:32Speaker 1: I'm saying. So you know it's it's it's I won't
- 30:35Speaker 1: say it's a controlled thing, but it's definitely a machine.
- 30:39Speaker 1: It's poll this happened. Where have you seen this happen
- 30:43Speaker 1: where there's a project that's coming out and the label
- 30:46Speaker 1: drops a bag to boost the streams. And I'm not
- 30:49Speaker 1: saying that they're not organic streams because with a lot
- 30:51Speaker 1: of these digital markets, and when you say stream boosting,
- 30:54Speaker 1: I mean like it's not that people coming in and
- 30:55Speaker 1: saying it's not like there's like a we're paying for
- 31:00Speaker 1: these streams to be like this. Stream boosting comes in
- 31:03Speaker 1: like different form, ten fifteen different forms. Right, you have marketing, right,
- 31:08Speaker 1: So have you seen it where a label will literally
- 31:12Speaker 1: drop a stupid bag to ensure their album gets to
- 31:16Speaker 1: be number one for the week. Well, the insurance comes
- 31:19Speaker 1: from first of all understand this. Labels know, right? You
- 31:25Speaker 1: notice no other artists dropped the weeks of Kanye and Drake. True,
- 31:30Speaker 1: we know who's dropping. For one. You don't fuck around
- 31:34Speaker 1: with shit. Well Kanye dropped Sunday at eight am. But yeah,
- 31:37Speaker 1: well you don't fuck around with shit like that, because
- 31:40Speaker 1: now when you go might want to spend one hundred
- 31:42Speaker 1: two hundred thousand dollars on the full digital marketing campaign. Right,
- 31:47Speaker 1: you fuck around some shit like Kanye, that's like you
- 31:49Speaker 1: spend twenty thousand dollars because you know what I mean,
- 31:54Speaker 1: they just won't work one song, they'll work fifteen. Yes,
- 31:58Speaker 1: you just stay out of that traffic. That shit bigger
- 32:00Speaker 1: than you. You know what I'm saying. You don't certain
- 32:03Speaker 1: people you don't fuck with. You just let them get
- 32:06Speaker 1: out the way and you let it blow over for
- 32:08Speaker 1: about three weeks or a month. Then you come in
- 32:12Speaker 1: and drop your back. So when I say that, to
- 32:13Speaker 1: say this, if a label is like, all right, we
- 32:16Speaker 1: got a we got a marketing budget of a half
- 32:18Speaker 1: a million dollars, right, they already know that half a
- 32:22Speaker 1: million dollars they're gonna spend here there here YouTube you know,
- 32:26Speaker 1: are seeding companies radio, you know, shit like this. You
- 32:31Speaker 1: ever look with to Spotify, right, and you go to Spotify,
- 32:36Speaker 1: way for everyone who dms me every day, you cannot
- 32:38Speaker 1: pay to get on my platform. Listen anyway, You go
- 32:41Speaker 1: to Spotify and let's say Rap Caviar, right, caller race picture. Yep,
- 32:47Speaker 1: she's the She's the cover of Rap Caviar. I don't
- 32:52Speaker 1: You don't realize if you going to Rap Countyard just
- 32:56Speaker 1: to listen to the playlist. Soon as you see that,
- 32:58Speaker 1: your first in your mind, I was gonna say, is
- 33:00Speaker 1: let me check out the song. That's what I do
- 33:03Speaker 1: to every time someone's on the cover, I go like,
- 33:05Speaker 1: let me see what song's on here? From these monther
- 33:07Speaker 1: you understand not one thing about Spotify. They pretty much
- 33:09Speaker 1: hand picked who they want. Spotify give you a call
- 33:13Speaker 1: like hey, we want you all to you know, to
- 33:15Speaker 1: be the cover of this, this, this, this and that.
- 33:17Speaker 1: But all this shit, right, it's things that are done
- 33:20Speaker 1: to kind of because it's been done time and time again.
- 33:23Speaker 1: We know what we spend this here here here there,
- 33:26Speaker 1: based upon the artist is following. Now we can expect
- 33:31Speaker 1: this kind of traffic. You know what I'm saying. It's
- 33:35Speaker 1: just like lib rat shit. Bro, they know we get
- 33:37Speaker 1: this motherfucker this dose, this happened, this dose. This is
- 33:40Speaker 1: the same shit. So when you hear people saying that, yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 1: you got a motherfuckers say what fuck, we're gonna spend
- 33:45Speaker 1: three million, they know that three million is gonna guarantee
- 33:50Speaker 1: organically after they do all exposure, three million should bring us,
- 33:54Speaker 1: you know, three hundred four hundred thousand album selves. They
- 33:59Speaker 1: know these things. I gotta figure out. It's to figure out,
- 34:02Speaker 1: that's just what it is. Last thing I want to
- 34:03Speaker 1: talk about without getting into the specifics of the incident,
- 34:06Speaker 1: but really obviously when your artist, blue Face got into altercations,
- 34:11Speaker 1: it's all over the internet right now. I don't want
- 34:13Speaker 1: to get into what actually happened, but I do want
- 34:15Speaker 1: to get into some of the the things that you
- 34:19Speaker 1: were saying about this before we started the interview, just
- 34:22Speaker 1: about like for any artist who's watching this, you know,
- 34:26Speaker 1: about staying out of places where you're not getting the
- 34:28Speaker 1: back like kind of you know, obviously you know, blue
- 34:30Speaker 1: Face a great dude. Yeah, when you when you're an artist,
- 34:35Speaker 1: you're a business. Regardless of what your homie say and
- 34:39Speaker 1: whatever say, you're a business. Everything about you is a business.
- 34:43Speaker 1: What you say, what you do? You know, if he
- 34:46Speaker 1: has a car accident, it's not going to be you know,
- 34:48Speaker 1: Jonathan poored at a car incident. It's gonna say Blue
- 34:50Speaker 1: Face the rapper was involved in the car accident. The
- 34:54Speaker 1: car incident has nothing to do with music. But because
- 34:56Speaker 1: it's him, he's a business and you're a target. You know,
- 34:59Speaker 1: in this situation, somebody pulled a weapon out on him,
- 35:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean, They pulled a knife out
- 35:03Speaker 1: on him. Man had to defend himself, you know what
- 35:06Speaker 1: I mean. And when things start to happen, you know
- 35:07Speaker 1: what I mean, when you're seeing camera footage, you're only
- 35:10Speaker 1: seeing a part of it, part of it, you know
- 35:12Speaker 1: what I mean. But once again, it's like, that's why
- 35:15Speaker 1: I urge rappers to keep the proper tools around you.
- 35:20Speaker 1: That's gonna absorb those things to where those things happen.
- 35:23Speaker 1: The wall is around you to where they can't really
- 35:26Speaker 1: get to you. You know what I mean. This is
- 35:29Speaker 1: what security is for. I mean, you've been that wall before.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I'll take I've taken that hit, you know what I mean.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I mean, that's just me, you know. But unfortunately Blue
- 35:39Speaker 1: Faces young man, he has a life, and I think
- 35:42Speaker 1: his struggle with this music thing is sometimes he wants
- 35:46Speaker 1: to be normal, and I'm trying to get him understand
- 35:49Speaker 1: is you're not normal as much as you want to
- 35:51Speaker 1: be normal. That's the downside to this ship. He's also
- 35:55Speaker 1: extremely tall, good looking kid with tattoos, so it's not
- 35:58Speaker 1: a very inconsect like when you go out there, it's
- 36:00Speaker 1: like another one of his downfalls is is he's genuinely
- 36:04Speaker 1: a nice guy. Is so he's not an assholder where
- 36:08Speaker 1: if you walking up on him, he gonna be like, hey,
- 36:11Speaker 1: get the fuck away from you, have people stop you.
- 36:14Speaker 1: He genuinely is a nice guy. He's gonna talk, have
- 36:16Speaker 1: a conversation, which opens him up to more if walking
- 36:21Speaker 1: up he's on some bullshit, right, So what you don't
- 36:24Speaker 1: see is a dude walks up and then blue Light
- 36:27Speaker 1: being cool, Hey, how you doing ye, and then he like, hey,
- 36:30Speaker 1: fuck your mama, spit sat him for some shit right now,
- 36:35Speaker 1: the artist that's a human being reacts Now it's all
- 36:41Speaker 1: blue Face did this right, And then that's where it goes.
- 36:44Speaker 1: So that's the pros and constant this shit. You know,
- 36:46Speaker 1: when you when you're that right, you can either be
- 36:50Speaker 1: regular and not have nobody paying attention to you, and
- 36:53Speaker 1: be a hell of an entrepreneur and get your money right.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I've known entrepreneurs. At one point in time, shout out
- 36:59Speaker 1: to white boy who had more money than everybody in
- 37:02Speaker 1: the motherfucking club, was standing outside from the supper club.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Couldn't get in because they didn't know who he was,
- 37:07Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So when Game said, that's
- 37:09Speaker 1: my part to bring him in, DJ Hollo Cold, send
- 37:12Speaker 1: the bottles, halloo cold, yo, this is cold, this is cold,
- 37:15Speaker 1: this is cold right now, his identity gave him face
- 37:19Speaker 1: and people responded to him as if he was some
- 37:21Speaker 1: type of celebrity in our city. Right, So the same
- 37:24Speaker 1: rule applied, like once you get that light on you,
- 37:28Speaker 1: it's what it is. It's a gift in the curse.
- 37:32Speaker 1: It's a gift in the curse. So you got to
- 37:34Speaker 1: know that people do ignorant. Look at the blue face
- 37:37Speaker 1: in his fight, dude running the ring. He running the ring,
- 37:41Speaker 1: holding his phone in one end, in one hand. He knew, like,
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'm doing this because that's blue face. I was closer
- 37:47Speaker 1: to him in blue face, but he like, shit, the
- 37:49Speaker 1: draw the lights is blueface. So they gonna try and
- 37:54Speaker 1: and I think, you know, he's young, he's full of life,
- 37:58Speaker 1: he's full of energy, and some time you just want
- 38:00Speaker 1: to have fun, just normal fun. And I think he's
- 38:03Speaker 1: learning that that's a task you signed up to do. Yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 1: I mean I think for anybody, right like you got,
- 38:10Speaker 1: you can't overexpose yourself, you know, Like I think, like
- 38:13Speaker 1: even me, Like I tell my wife, you know, I'm like,
- 38:16Speaker 1: she wants to go walk down Melrow. I'm like, listen, sweetheart, like,
- 38:19Speaker 1: now ain't the time for us to go walk down
- 38:21Speaker 1: Melrose with your wedding ring on? Because I'm not gonna
- 38:24Speaker 1: be Yeah, it's real ship, I'm not gonna know. I'm
- 38:27Speaker 1: just not gonna be the one. Like like at the
- 38:29Speaker 1: end of the day, like big Boy, how many places
- 38:31Speaker 1: you see Big Boy is out roam and and and
- 38:34Speaker 1: that's you know, I mean, people know who them. I'm like, yo,
- 38:38Speaker 1: if I'm not getting paid the DJ, I'm not going
- 38:40Speaker 1: to the club. You cannot know what big Boy looks like.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Right And a minute he opens his mouth, you know
- 38:45Speaker 1: exactly who he is because he's got You could be
- 38:48Speaker 1: at McDonald's and not know who this dude would say, yeah, man,
- 38:51Speaker 1: give me a whiffers ump. Hello, hey man, aren't you
- 38:55Speaker 1: dude get all excited. Big boy might be having a
- 38:57Speaker 1: bad day. Dude, Hey man, grabs big boy bout It
- 39:00Speaker 1: showed a big boy throws elbow that see. You know,
- 39:02Speaker 1: big boy assaults taxi dude, the McDonald's. This is why
- 39:06Speaker 1: Big Boy ain't gonna go in the motherfucker McDonald's. He
- 39:09Speaker 1: gonna send somebody else. He gonna go through the drive through.
- 39:11Speaker 1: This is what this is there. It is. Well, look,
- 39:13Speaker 1: we're gonna transition to the other part of the interview,
- 39:16Speaker 1: which is an hour and a half long, and gotcha,
- 39:18Speaker 1: there's a lot of gaming it. Appreciate you, man. It's
- 39:20Speaker 1: one hundred interview y'all. Two then the bootleg cav you
- 39:25Speaker 1: always have the wels have an open mic here, whack nah.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I appreciate it, man, that cav. You know, people don't
- 39:32Speaker 1: realize that you can vouch for this. I think about
- 39:35Speaker 1: people when they know I'm not thinking about them because
- 39:37Speaker 1: it was a few years ago. Well out nowhere, you
- 39:41Speaker 1: got a call. I'm sitting with they setting up the
- 39:44Speaker 1: real ninety two three and they going over their DJs.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, y'all need to bring cave to the city.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I always tell everything. I always tell everybody, put you
- 39:53Speaker 1: right on the phone, called me at dinner, at dinner.
- 39:56Speaker 1: We was at dinner. This was in twenty fourteen. Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 1: we was at dinner and I was in Tampa and
- 40:01Speaker 1: Whack hits my line, Hey, I'm a doc winner. Right
- 40:04Speaker 1: now at dinner, they're launching a rated I'm telling him
- 40:07Speaker 1: you're the guy. And I always tell everybody, Yo, Whack
- 40:10Speaker 1: really selflessly just threw me their craziest lib. Watch this.
- 40:14Speaker 1: You might hear from Whack every eighteen months. I don't
- 40:18Speaker 1: do ship because now I'm gonna, you know, work this situation.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I just genuinely do shit. I score amen, And when
- 40:26Speaker 1: I can do something. It's a misconception about you. Man.
- 40:29Speaker 1: It's like I think, like I always hear people be like, uh,
- 40:32Speaker 1: even when they talk about you and they don't know you.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I got to step in and be like, Yo, Whack,
- 40:36Speaker 1: ain't that guy? Like people really think like you're like
- 40:38Speaker 1: a really unreasonable dude, or like, you know, if you
- 40:42Speaker 1: do something for them, you're gonna hang them out like
- 40:44Speaker 1: on some sugar night shit over a balcony. I'm like, Yo,
- 40:45Speaker 1: Whack is a one of the smartest, smartest guys in
- 40:49Speaker 1: the music. And yeah, Sugar never hung anybody over the balcony,
- 40:54Speaker 1: so Vanilla has never got hung over the bout definitely
- 40:57Speaker 1: got hung over the balcony. But see, it's kind of
- 41:00Speaker 1: like the kid that got kicked and all the teachers
- 41:03Speaker 1: seeing was a kid doing hitting. Right, what people don't
- 41:06Speaker 1: talk about is that little young black kid right who
- 41:11Speaker 1: did the production for Ice Ice Baby, who Vanilla Ice said,
- 41:16Speaker 1: fuck you, I'm not gonna give you four or five
- 41:18Speaker 1: million dollars. People don't want to talk about how he
- 41:21Speaker 1: went through every resource he could to get his money
- 41:25Speaker 1: and the shit wasn't right. When he brought it to
- 41:28Speaker 1: Sugar Night, she said, Sug, I'll give you half the money.
- 41:31Speaker 1: You can get my money. Sugar said, young black brother,
- 41:33Speaker 1: I don't want half your money. I just want what's
- 41:36Speaker 1: reasonably coming to me. Let me have my attorneys contact
- 41:39Speaker 1: them and figure it out. After eight or nine months
- 41:42Speaker 1: of that not working, then he went through other extremes
- 41:46Speaker 1: of getting it done. Now watch this. Is it sug
- 41:49Speaker 1: Knight's fault that he had to go to that extreme
- 41:52Speaker 1: or is it Vanilla ICE's fault for totally ignoring it
- 41:56Speaker 1: when it was trying to be handled the corporate way
- 41:58Speaker 1: fair enough. So you know, I just got to defend
- 42:01Speaker 1: that because I know what's really behind that. It wasn't
- 42:04Speaker 1: a thing with you came in and I you on
- 42:06Speaker 1: no fucking verse. But all right, the fuck. You know
- 42:09Speaker 1: what I'm saying, and let the record be shown, and
- 42:11Speaker 1: do not fuck with Whack either. You know what I'm
- 42:13Speaker 1: saying because I've seen the dark side of Whack as
- 42:15Speaker 1: well personally me myself. Yo, listen, Whack, Thank you man.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Let's get into the rest of the interview right now.
- 42:20Speaker 1: All right, look Man, special Edition the one hundredth episode
- 42:24Speaker 1: of the Blueleg Heap Podcast. What a Minor, The Minor,
- 42:27Speaker 1: the Monitor, Episode one hundred. We had to do something
- 42:29Speaker 1: special and bring my bro, my big brother Man Whack
- 42:32Speaker 1: one hundred for episode one hundred. Welcome back this and
- 42:35Speaker 1: a Minor. It's a whole lot of ways you could
- 42:37Speaker 1: have went, so you know, it's honor to be Yeah.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I was like, man, there was a couple of people.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I was like, Man, we gotta get Whack back on
- 42:42Speaker 1: the episode one hundred. It's only right man on the
- 42:44Speaker 1: West Coast. Shit, Let's do it the way we supposed to.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Welcome back. First of all, how has everything been going
- 42:51Speaker 1: with you? Man? Because you've been all over every academics post.
- 42:56Speaker 1: I mean, shit's been kind of crazy since you did
- 42:58Speaker 1: the podcast. You know, you know, it's always a backlash,
- 43:05Speaker 1: you know when you go against the grain, you know
- 43:09Speaker 1: what I mean. So when you know, when you not
- 43:12Speaker 1: flowing the way everybody else is flowing, you're gonna get
- 43:16Speaker 1: that back. Last. Now, the question is can you stand.
- 43:18Speaker 1: You gotta be able to stand the ring. Can you
- 43:20Speaker 1: withstand that shit? You will stand the ring. A lot
- 43:22Speaker 1: of people is you know a lot of people clickish,
- 43:24Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and they caught up and
- 43:27Speaker 1: you know who gonna continue to talk to them or not?
- 43:30Speaker 1: You know what I mean. Unfortunately, a lot of people
- 43:32Speaker 1: that I know and do business with, they have been
- 43:34Speaker 1: long term relationships and uh they they called me and
- 43:37Speaker 1: express what they don't like. But the brotherhood and the
- 43:40Speaker 1: you know, the comrades, shit is too deep. I even
- 43:43Speaker 1: got some that won't call me, you know, when they
- 43:45Speaker 1: get over being mad, then they called me in there
- 43:47Speaker 1: tell me what it was. But other than that, man,
- 43:50Speaker 1: you know, you got to be able to stand, and
- 43:51Speaker 1: you got to be your own boss and You got
- 43:52Speaker 1: to know your own route, you know what I mean.
- 43:54Speaker 1: You gotta know what you're doing with it. You know
- 43:56Speaker 1: what I mean, And that's what it is. People sit
- 43:58Speaker 1: back and because they don't know what you're doing, assumption
- 44:02Speaker 1: when it comes to the to the human mind, they
- 44:06Speaker 1: gonna always assume the worst. You know, I'm since then
- 44:09Speaker 1: I think I'm Takshi signed to me six ' nine.
- 44:13Speaker 1: This man is by me. Shit, I didn't put him
- 44:17Speaker 1: on my neighborhood. You know, they come up with all
- 44:20Speaker 1: kind of crazy ass shit, but you know, you gotta
- 44:22Speaker 1: let them run wild with it. If you understand entertainment business,
- 44:26Speaker 1: because that's the clickbait, that's what keep people talking about you.
- 44:29Speaker 1: And hopefully you can put something in fun of the
- 44:31Speaker 1: people right to further the conversation. Whack did this, this? This, this, this,
- 44:37Speaker 1: oh year and this is coming out of this is
- 44:40Speaker 1: going on. So you gotta know how to finessa. You
- 44:42Speaker 1: gotta know how to work well. I think like we
- 44:45Speaker 1: did an interview probably like four or five months ago,
- 44:47Speaker 1: and in that interview you had said that you did
- 44:49Speaker 1: not feel like six nine was a snitch. He was
- 44:51Speaker 1: a civilian good So you said that way before you
- 44:54Speaker 1: had even had any contact with this dude way before
- 44:57Speaker 1: Roland Loud Weekend. I think I think the mis conception
- 45:00Speaker 1: of that that is people saying like, well, he was
- 45:03Speaker 1: doing what he was doing, you know what the people
- 45:06Speaker 1: he was doing it with, and my whole thing is
- 45:09Speaker 1: like those people should have never even had him involved
- 45:12Speaker 1: in those things, you know what I mean. It starts
- 45:15Speaker 1: with me from the beginning, you know what I mean.
- 45:17Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take a hot rod race car and
- 45:22Speaker 1: go cross country. I know somewhere in there, you know
- 45:25Speaker 1: that ain't built for that. It's gonna blow up. I'm
- 45:28Speaker 1: gonna take something that's standard, start the Cadillac, the Range,
- 45:31Speaker 1: roll over some shit that's built for that to take
- 45:33Speaker 1: that cross country. But then I'm not gonna take my
- 45:36Speaker 1: Cadillac or my Range, roll with my Honda and try
- 45:39Speaker 1: to do a compete in a quarter mile, you know
- 45:42Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So it's like my whole way of
- 45:44Speaker 1: seeing it is, yeah, I see what happened when went on,
- 45:47Speaker 1: But you know, I knew that goddamn hot rod was
- 45:50Speaker 1: gonna blow up before I got the Arizona. Motherfucker gets
- 45:55Speaker 1: three miles to the gallon's running lean it's running hot,
- 45:58Speaker 1: and I'm trying to go cross country and I'm I'm
- 46:00Speaker 1: trying to do eighty on the freeway. It's gonna blow
- 46:02Speaker 1: over heat. It's going over heat. So I felt like,
- 46:04Speaker 1: you know, I understand why they did it, you know
- 46:06Speaker 1: what I mean. You had a few people that was
- 46:09Speaker 1: trying to figure out the music industry, you know what
- 46:12Speaker 1: I mean. And you know, with dealing with artists, bro,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you gotta know how to move them. You gotta know
- 46:16Speaker 1: how to furnest them, and you got to know how
- 46:18Speaker 1: to bow down to them and let them be the
- 46:20Speaker 1: boss and be the employee to them. You know what
- 46:22Speaker 1: I mean. It's a tricky game. So you know, I've
- 46:26Speaker 1: always seen the kid day one. There's like it was
- 46:29Speaker 1: a gimmick. It's a lot of artists that's a gimmick.
- 46:32Speaker 1: A lot of dudes running around with tattoos on their
- 46:34Speaker 1: faces and walking a certain way. They just got real
- 46:38Speaker 1: dudes around them, and the real dudes around them gives
- 46:42Speaker 1: them the persona that they're that so a lot of
- 46:46Speaker 1: people might I mean, I think the argument is like
- 46:48Speaker 1: he put hits on people's heads, right, He put money
- 46:52Speaker 1: on people's heads. He paid people to shoot shooting people,
- 46:55Speaker 1: et cetera. And I think the argument is, once you
- 46:58Speaker 1: do something like that, you're you're a criminal technically, right
- 47:02Speaker 1: like you you you've signed off on that lifestyle definitely,
- 47:06Speaker 1: So what do you you know? Because watch Blow? Of
- 47:11Speaker 1: course I love Blow. There was moving more goddamn cocaine
- 47:15Speaker 1: than the law. A lile, right, But deep down inside,
- 47:20Speaker 1: who was he? I mean, yeah, he was just a
- 47:23Speaker 1: normal dude. Okay when the heat came? What did the
- 47:27Speaker 1: normal dude do? What are you supposed to do? Right now?
- 47:30Speaker 1: I was the guy playing blow? Right. Unfortunately, I'm subject
- 47:36Speaker 1: to the politics, and I've been in these situations. I've
- 47:40Speaker 1: been charged with murders that I know I didn't commit,
- 47:45Speaker 1: and all I can say is I pleaded the fifth
- 47:46Speaker 1: see you in court. My homeboys is sitting there. The
- 47:51Speaker 1: people that know what they know, the details behind it.
- 47:55Speaker 1: They didn't jump up and say, oh no it wasn't him,
- 47:57Speaker 1: it was me. And you know what, they did what
- 47:59Speaker 1: they supposed to. They supposed to be quiet. Right, this
- 48:02Speaker 1: is a better situation if they put in the body
- 48:04Speaker 1: on somebody that we all know didn't do it, I
- 48:06Speaker 1: got a better chance of being in them, right. But
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna sit down. I'm gonna spend some money, but
- 48:11Speaker 1: this would come with it. I'm you know, I'm born
- 48:14Speaker 1: and bred and I'm into this shit. I'm initiated into
- 48:17Speaker 1: this right and everybody, no matter what, bro me and
- 48:21Speaker 1: you right now could go to the marine's training camp.
- 48:25Speaker 1: That don't necessarily mean we're gonna become a marine. You
- 48:28Speaker 1: have to pass things and go through stages of things
- 48:31Speaker 1: for them to say you are now that they can't
- 48:37Speaker 1: this out. We're here for Marie. Put him on the chopper,
- 48:40Speaker 1: send his ass up against that. You might he might
- 48:42Speaker 1: have a gun in his hand. He might bust some
- 48:43Speaker 1: shots in the right direction. We might see my nigga
- 48:46Speaker 1: and detonate the whole motherfucker battalion because we don't know
- 48:48Speaker 1: what we're doing with this grenada. We don't know how
- 48:51Speaker 1: to move. So, you know, no matter what they tried
- 48:56Speaker 1: to pain him to be right, you give a twelve
- 48:59Speaker 1: years the keys to a Lamborghini, he gonna get in
- 49:01Speaker 1: that motherfucker man, and he ain't gonna drive her like
- 49:05Speaker 1: a Lamborghini. Shit, I can dry this. I barely know
- 49:09Speaker 1: how to drive fucks, but I know to drive by
- 49:11Speaker 1: My school might run up on the curb running to this.
- 49:14Speaker 1: She ain't no telling what he's gonna do. When it
- 49:16Speaker 1: comes back, you're gonna say, yo, you drove the Lamborghini
- 49:19Speaker 1: like this. He didn't see it was a kid that's
- 49:21Speaker 1: driving a car. That's all he's seeing. It wasn't supposed
- 49:23Speaker 1: to be driving. So you tell him a dude like this,
- 49:27Speaker 1: We're gonna do whatever you tell us to do. He's
- 49:31Speaker 1: already intrigued by the streets, right right, right, So in
- 49:36Speaker 1: his head he like, one side of him is like,
- 49:41Speaker 1: damn they gonna I can tell him what to do.
- 49:44Speaker 1: The other side is, you know, I'm a Collie cocking.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Fuck it, Okay, do this, oh shit, do that? Oh shit.
- 49:56Speaker 1: And so then you got people saying, well, because he
- 50:00Speaker 1: was telling them these things, that makes them bad. Nah,
- 50:03Speaker 1: no it don't. So let's get a few of the
- 50:06Speaker 1: misconceptions out the way. Obviously, you're not working. You're not
- 50:08Speaker 1: getting any money with six or nine outside of maybe
- 50:10Speaker 1: a fight with blue Face. If they're not a fight
- 50:12Speaker 1: with blue Face set up with him. So that's gonna happen.
- 50:14Speaker 1: And that's the whole thing, right is that to me? Right?
- 50:22Speaker 1: The streets and the music industry, Uh, they're not the
- 50:25Speaker 1: same people in the music industry talk about the streets.
- 50:30Speaker 1: If that dude that was doing the talking about the
- 50:32Speaker 1: streets really did those things, his ass of being a
- 50:35Speaker 1: penitentiary be incriminating himself, right, because most of the people
- 50:38Speaker 1: who are actually doing that, as you've seen over the
- 50:40Speaker 1: last couple of years, they got reco charges charges quick.
- 50:44Speaker 1: I mean, who shisky is sitting down right now, one
- 50:46Speaker 1: of the hardest rappers in the world. You don't shout
- 50:48Speaker 1: out the nephew to a good dude, good youngster man.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Similar respects to his father and his family. But so
- 50:56Speaker 1: I've never personally seen the exist on the fiftieth floor
- 51:03Speaker 1: say listen today, we're gonna determine if a little de
- 51:07Speaker 1: doll get put on the hood. I've never seen that
- 51:11Speaker 1: conversation on the fiftieth floor, right, And I've also seen
- 51:15Speaker 1: them say you two dirty in them streets that come
- 51:18Speaker 1: to the fiftieth floor. Right. So street businesses, street politics
- 51:23Speaker 1: is just that, right, That's what it is. You catch
- 51:27Speaker 1: me trying to take six y nine to somebody neighborhood,
- 51:30Speaker 1: shoot the video or you know some crazy shit like that,
- 51:33Speaker 1: I'm in total violation, right. I would never even bring
- 51:37Speaker 1: my homeboys who will follow me into the fire around
- 51:42Speaker 1: that because that's not their thing. They're not part of
- 51:46Speaker 1: the business. They'll be there with me. Right. So whatever
- 51:49Speaker 1: it is I did choose to do with him, that's
- 51:51Speaker 1: why wasn't nobody with me with my wife and kids,
- 51:54Speaker 1: which I said day one. You know my daughter's a fan,
- 51:56Speaker 1: that's what that is. You know she don't give a
- 51:58Speaker 1: shit about none of that. Right. But if I got
- 52:03Speaker 1: an attorney on the fifty yeth floor and he got
- 52:05Speaker 1: my email, I got his email and the email attested
- 52:08Speaker 1: to him, and attorney says, hey, I see this, this
- 52:11Speaker 1: is available. It's just something that he may want to do.
- 52:14Speaker 1: And my attorney's talking to me. In this business, I'm
- 52:17Speaker 1: definitely gonna conduct that business. I'm not the guy to say,
- 52:22Speaker 1: fuck six ' nine. I want to see him starve
- 52:25Speaker 1: to death. I want to see him die today and
- 52:28Speaker 1: never make another die. I can say that that's not realistic.
- 52:33Speaker 1: He's what he represents to his fans is bigger than me.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I'm not his fan base. So what's driving his revenue
- 52:41Speaker 1: is gonna continue to drive his revenue. Whether what we
- 52:44Speaker 1: think about it or not, it don't matter you know
- 52:46Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I'm a businessman, right, I've done
- 52:51Speaker 1: business with Jewish people, gay people, crips. You know what
- 52:59Speaker 1: I'm saying. I've done business with all kinds of shit
- 53:02Speaker 1: that may not like me. One of my head plumbers
- 53:05Speaker 1: who gave me a twenty percent discount was a Nazi
- 53:08Speaker 1: type dude. I can tell that, the big bed red,
- 53:11Speaker 1: real red nig dude. But you know that was who
- 53:14Speaker 1: he was. That had nothing to do with the service
- 53:16Speaker 1: I needed. You know what I'm saying. So I'm never
- 53:20Speaker 1: I'm always been the woof of my world bros. As
- 53:22Speaker 1: a kid, you know what I mean. If I see
- 53:23Speaker 1: it my way and I see a different way or
- 53:26Speaker 1: a different lane, I'm gonna follow my lane. If I
- 53:29Speaker 1: crash and burn following my lane, right, I can live
- 53:33Speaker 1: with that. But if I crash and burn and starve
- 53:36Speaker 1: to death following somebody else's lane, I can't live with that.
- 53:41Speaker 1: That's fair. So you're let me ask you this because
- 53:45Speaker 1: I think everyone respects you and your acumen as a
- 53:47Speaker 1: businessman in the music industry. Right, I think you're one
- 53:50Speaker 1: of the most brilliant minds in the game. You know.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I always say, like there's a lot of misconceptions about
- 53:55Speaker 1: you as a person. Would you like, obviously you're from Pacoima,
- 54:01Speaker 1: your you know your your your reputation in the streets
- 54:05Speaker 1: speaks for itself. Right at this point in time in
- 54:09Speaker 1: your life, do you put the business first or being
- 54:12Speaker 1: a Pyu first? Oh, parrus first when it comes to
- 54:17Speaker 1: Paru business. Okay, break that down, because I think some
- 54:20Speaker 1: people might look at what it is. Okay, this is
- 54:22Speaker 1: what it is. You got some people that's from the
- 54:23Speaker 1: neighborhood and they gonna be They're gonna do what they
- 54:25Speaker 1: told to do, Okay, no matter what they want to do.
- 54:29Speaker 1: And you got some people who do to dictating on
- 54:31Speaker 1: what's being told to do. Some people that politic at
- 54:34Speaker 1: the table was being told to do. My neighborhood hasn't. Uh,
- 54:40Speaker 1: those are not my streets, right, That's where I'm from, right,
- 54:45Speaker 1: let's get this right. When they were my streets, I
- 54:48Speaker 1: woke up every day. That's where I got my money.
- 54:52Speaker 1: That's where I protected the blocks every day. Yep. That's
- 54:55Speaker 1: why I did my dirt, have my fun, My partying
- 54:59Speaker 1: was right there like a hamster on those streets. Right.
- 55:04Speaker 1: It's a whole nother team over there that that's they streets, right.
- 55:07Speaker 1: I don't dictate or override what they choose to do.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Those streets are being managed totally different today than they
- 55:15Speaker 1: were my heyday. Right, things have changed. You know. We
- 55:19Speaker 1: glorified selling dope, getting the money. All of them glorified
- 55:23Speaker 1: how much dope they use today. You know who am
- 55:26Speaker 1: out of judge that's their thing. You know what I'm saying.
- 55:29Speaker 1: We signed our pants down, our fucking ankles. They just
- 55:32Speaker 1: wear them tighter, you know, that's the thing. Right. So
- 55:36Speaker 1: Paul ruebinness, it's just that six ' nine never mixes
- 55:41Speaker 1: with that. He shouldn't have been mixed with that in
- 55:43Speaker 1: the beginning when they was doing what they was doing
- 55:45Speaker 1: out there, that should have never happened. I took anfence
- 55:49Speaker 1: to him running around with the rainbow here in the
- 55:51Speaker 1: red Bandella. That's something that I would never practice. That
- 55:55Speaker 1: you would never have co signed if it was someone
- 55:57Speaker 1: come out of LA. Wouldn't happen. It's not gonna happen,
- 56:00Speaker 1: either you're that or you not. You know what I'm saying.
- 56:03Speaker 1: My family business, it's just that, my business is just that.
- 56:09Speaker 1: I mean, because if I was on some real parru
- 56:11Speaker 1: street ship I wouldn't have signed blue Face fair enough. Right,
- 56:17Speaker 1: it's real politics behind me signing blue Faces, deeper than
- 56:20Speaker 1: people know outside of cripp and blood ship. You know
- 56:25Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You know that maybe some of them
- 56:28Speaker 1: don't know. It's a few of minds don't know. Right.
- 56:32Speaker 1: So if I was like on some if dictated everything
- 56:37Speaker 1: on the music side, yeah, it can't happen. I mean
- 56:41Speaker 1: the end of the day, Snoop Dog wouldn't have been
- 56:43Speaker 1: a death Row nor would dance a corrupt with Nate Dog,
- 56:47Speaker 1: fair enough. But we all run around it with the
- 56:49Speaker 1: death Row shirts. And that ship was really was built
- 56:51Speaker 1: on the talents and skills of criptism and and and
- 56:55Speaker 1: the business of a politics. So we've established that, right.
- 57:02Speaker 1: So you know, obviously with the six nine thing, I
- 57:05Speaker 1: feel like there's been like we had Glasses Malone up here, right,
- 57:08Speaker 1: and glasses spoke. Glasses did not speak towards you in
- 57:12Speaker 1: any sort of funny way. Right, Glass is gonna totally
- 57:14Speaker 1: disagree with what I'm doing one million percent. That's my nepht.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I know what he's gonna Glasses like, I think he's
- 57:20Speaker 1: gonna see it. You gotta understand, Glasses, look at me
- 57:23Speaker 1: like Nigga, that's one of our West Coast generals, right,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but it's not the general that's conducting that business. You
- 57:34Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. Yeah, it's just like I'm not
- 57:38Speaker 1: whack from Paru when I'm being dad to my kids,
- 57:41Speaker 1: and you're not whack from Piru when you're brunning one
- 57:44Speaker 1: hundred entertainment and definitely and looking for new town. I had,
- 57:47Speaker 1: I had bro listen. I caught so much flack behind
- 57:51Speaker 1: blue Face, the famous crip who had a song I'll
- 57:54Speaker 1: called respect my crippet right right now. If I would
- 57:59Speaker 1: allow all that those powers to be to dictate my business,
- 58:04Speaker 1: it's a reason why I transition out of doing business
- 58:07Speaker 1: in the streets of doing business in the building. I
- 58:10Speaker 1: realized a long time, it's only profitable for so long.
- 58:13Speaker 1: You get a two year run, eighteen running month run,
- 58:15Speaker 1: three five year run, you know what I mean. Look
- 58:18Speaker 1: at BMF for one. You know, these dudes is making
- 58:21Speaker 1: a lot of money, but you know they've been gone,
- 58:23Speaker 1: you know. You know what I'm saying, right, So it's
- 58:26Speaker 1: kind of like, you know, I feel like slow and
- 58:29Speaker 1: steady res the rates with me, you know what I mean?
- 58:32Speaker 1: The long, long, more the longevity, the more longevity you
- 58:35Speaker 1: had to doing something, the more successful chance of being
- 58:38Speaker 1: successful at it, you know what I mean. So I
- 58:41Speaker 1: don't expect everybody glasses says, he's just moving into the
- 58:45Speaker 1: lane of being in exec You know, he got an
- 58:47Speaker 1: art institute. Now, you know, he came to see me,
- 58:50Speaker 1: you know what I mean a couple of weeks ago
- 58:51Speaker 1: to figure out a few things. Right, he's moving into
- 58:53Speaker 1: that and he's gonna cross those those thresholds where it's
- 58:57Speaker 1: coming to some things that you know he wasn't supposed
- 58:59Speaker 1: to be. Had ten believe it or not, caught some
- 59:01Speaker 1: flat over signing g Malone. I don't I don't doubt
- 59:06Speaker 1: that he Inglewood Blood Queenstreet. It's a bunch of rappers
- 59:08Speaker 1: in the wood, like hold on, man, you could have
- 59:10Speaker 1: did that. But g he he he equated six '
- 59:13Speaker 1: nine to being worse than Hitler. He said he is
- 59:17Speaker 1: an evil, demonic man who's worse than Hitler. I wouldn't
- 59:21Speaker 1: say he's worse than Hitler because the casually between the
- 59:25Speaker 1: holocausts and uh, I'm just saying what eed nine yeah,
- 59:31Speaker 1: eighty nine individuals who's laying down you know, you know
- 59:34Speaker 1: a lot of people got to understand. You know, I
- 59:36Speaker 1: kind of did a little research on a few days,
- 59:38Speaker 1: and I ain't justified nothing that six ' nine did.
- 59:41Speaker 1: And I think also, I think people think that you are,
- 59:43Speaker 1: but if you actually watched the interview academnic, you didn't
- 59:46Speaker 1: just find anything. I'm not justified nothing he did. I
- 59:48Speaker 1: was really trying to really get him to understand what
- 59:50Speaker 1: he was and what he never being, you know, when
- 59:52Speaker 1: he came to that. But I think there is a
- 59:55Speaker 1: slight misconception. Right, six ' nine did not send him
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he even body the prison. He ain't said nobody to prison.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: What he did was say the CELP of call to prison. Right,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: because everybody already was indictment, was indicted. They were all
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: part of the same Rico case. They were all indicted already,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: uh ninety percent of them if you really gonna read
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: their paperwork, right, was violating the street code, fucking right
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: on their phone, saying things on their phone, doing things
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: on their phone they weren't supposed to do. So whether
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: six ' nine did what he did or not, they
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: were still going to the penitentiary, right, So it wasn't
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: like they arrested him and then they didn't know about
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: everybody else. Then he's like, Nah, this dude, this dude,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: this dude, And they released him when he wore a
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: wire tap to you know, to glide this dude up,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: this dude up. All y'all had y'all warrants, all y'all
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: got pretty much arrested by the same time, you know
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: what I mean when he went on the breakfast club.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: They all knew it was coming. He was trying to
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: trying to disassociate it. He knew it, but it was
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: it was already too late, you know what I mean.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I think they only went and picked everybody up because
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the wire taps. He had something going on in Connecticut
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: and they heard on the wire tap that they was
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: gonna push up on him in Connecticut. That's when they're like, Okay,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: we're not gonna jeopardize this. It's time to pick everybody up, right,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: So they was going regardless. Right, brother, this man he
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: could have went in there and kept it gangster and
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: said fuck that, I ain't saying nothing. He would have
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: just been in there with him. Nobody was getting out right.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Everybody pretty much lined themself up. Taps on the wire taps.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: We've heard some of the leaked conversations and some of
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: those wire taps, you know, was were not in favor
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: of six nine. It was some of those cases they
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: got it was crimes committed against him. So you know,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: whatever they had coming, it was coming to them anyway
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: based upon whatever they was doing. Right, yeah, right, So
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: at the end of the day, they was going anywhere.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: They was running the fucked up ship. You know, it
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: was a sinking ship. And that's what it was. What
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: he did was what I expected the guy from blow
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to dude. He turned back to who he really was,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: straight up. And that's why my people that's around me, right,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: those people that went to the military and got trained,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: that's what they kidnapped their motherfuckers. They sitting there torturing
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: the motherfuckers what they trained to do. Say they motherfucker name,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and they rank, and they they in they number. That's it. Now,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: you take a motherfucker that ain't been trained for that
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and skilled for that. That's why some people are just this.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Some people mayvy seal, some people green beret. Right, it's
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: it's a different thing. They not gonna send the death
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: dude to send the Marines out to do the Green
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Beret job because they know if he get caught, he's going,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: oh yeah, the office over here and the such and
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: such as over here and the generals over here. Right,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: So they send the Green Beret dudes in there because
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that's a different type of training versus physically, physically, mentally,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: and psychologically, right, because if they get caught, they trained
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to die with it, die by it. Uh. It's nothing
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: about Takashi that tells you that he's gonna be able
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: to withstand that pressure. It's not gonna happen. The pressure
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: is strong. I even had some some real gangsters crack.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: You know. I tell people what the dude is willing
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: to accept that twenty five. He may not be willing
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: to accept that forty five. You know, motherfucker go find
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: out what they are maybel living backwoods Alabama. Quick man,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: we got thirty years for you man. Fuck it. Whoo
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: whoo woo woo woo wooh wooh wooh woom, disappear gone.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Because he rather deal with it like that free than
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: sit in that penitentiary but keeping it real while he
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: watched others go fuck his baby mama. Yeah, his baby
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: mama's moving on. You know what I'm saying go hit
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: his spot. So this is just real shit, right and
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: his kids. This is what happens. So and I tell
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: people this, This is why. You know a lot of
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: my soldiers right, the older they get, the less involved
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I make sure they are when it come to that
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: kind of thing, right, you know, I try to move
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: them into being professional businessman. Not to say that they
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: are cracked, but I don't want to even put them
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: in a position or a situation where they got to
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: even think about it. They've got to think about that, yeah, perod,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I mean I understand it, because at the end of
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: the day, you don't ever want to you know. I
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: feel like when you get yourself involved in that, it's
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: not probably out of choice, it's out of environment, it's
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: out of necessity. And the goal is having fun with
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: something that that's not fun. What I'm saying is like
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the goal is though, like obviously, if you the goal
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: would be to evolve and and get out of that eventually. Right, No, listen,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now, my goal for the
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: last three years has been to not even be on
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: the West Coast at least reef four months out of
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: the year, and you be in China working on ship home.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: I'm by a coastal. I live on these coasts when
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I want to, right, So that's now my goal is
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: to I on'tly want to be here six months out
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: the year. You know, I want to spend two months
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: overseas conducting business, you know what I mean, and then
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I can spend another month vacation in another three months
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: this other places that I need to be. I don't.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I don't want to run the hood. I want to
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: position myself to come back and control the hood by
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: means of real estate businesses. You know, my ultimate goal,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: and my ultimate goal is to come back and buy
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: my projects. That been the goal of mine is to
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: come back and actually purchase my projects. And I can't
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: get that done in the hood because whatever I can
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: do in the hood, or but have to do in
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: the hood, it's gonna hinder me from having the proper documents,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: paperwork and cash flow to go do that. You know
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I got to come back a business.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I gotta come back a mogo to do that, you
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So, and I'm not knocking. What
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I want to be is is to those in my
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: neighborhood who not being brainwashed by those as my age
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and older than me and salty and mad because they
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: didn't find their way out. Say well, look, we know
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: this dude was this, this did time, put in work,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: did all the crazy shit and all that, and he
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: was able to turn it around and do that. Do that.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I got a g deep central jevenile hall. If I'm
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: able to do it, it ain't nobody in my neighborhood
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: is not able to do it. I didn't. I didn't.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: My one hundred percent of my success our music. And
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I don't think my big my biggest success is gonna
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: be music, because really I look down on myself for
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: doing what I do in music because I'm still depending
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: on another man. I wake up in one of my
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: artists and there's some crazy shit. You know, this shit,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and this shit it affects the business men. You know,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you can't just birth of artists overnight. You got to
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: start back over and rebuild. Any businessman know at that
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: point in time the revenue gonna change, so you got
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: to downsize and you got to do things a little different.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: That's where the diaper company comes from, me challenging myself
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: to do something outside of this that can create another
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: top of wealth, and then you're only depending on yourself
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: and your team as opposed to because you know, and
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: it's on me. Artists are very They're variables, right, You're
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: dealing with artists. Maybe they have a bad day. Maybe,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: you know, yeah, you know, you know a lot of
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: my real business partners. You know, it's like people from

- 1:08:57Speaker 1: think people, first of all, love when you share your
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: thoughts online because I feel like they're genuine and you're
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: very very like you know, like you said you don't
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: go to ship people thinking were scared to say so,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: but but there's so let me ask you this right.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Why there's people who will be like, yo, why is
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: whack online? So much like you'll be on clubhouse called
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: crazy on clubhouse, clubhouse shout out to my my nephew,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Rocky the world family, nainety second Street, as he would say,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: So yeah, the room, no, so just give me like like,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: no way, I'm gonna give me. You go ahead, Okay,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: My little home boy had a room, right, and he like, man,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my room popping right. So I'm like,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: all right, I had to understand club I really know it.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: The shit, well, I'm come and see what it is.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, cool. So when I did the
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: six nine interview, right, I tell nephew, listen, once you
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: go on vacation for a minute and put me with
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: the people so I can set up the room. He like,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: what you mean? I need you to go on vacation
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: because you know you're young, nigg real blood. You know
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying. He don't mixed with that shit. He
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: just in the room as Rocky Eaglewood family. So by
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: the time he spent off of due what he do,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I come in and bring the kid in the host room.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: His room go from thirteen thousand to thirty thousand overnight.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: I don't come in and say get me half of
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: the room. I want to own the room. Right. I
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: passed the room back to nephew. He hasked some things
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: to say to me. He like, damn, monk, you could
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: have told me what you was gonna do. Man, I
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: might not have been with it. I said, listen, you
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: see where your room is at. Right, Yeah, I took
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: the hit. I'm at to take the back lash for it.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I take that room and go generate you some revenue. Right.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: He loved me today for it. He didn't agree, right,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: but you know, and then clubhouse is a fun space
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: where you boy, it ain't got nothing to do. He
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: be there, went to sleep early in the day, six o'clock,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: got up at sixty midnight. You get up. Everybody else
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: sleep stay up on clubhouse. Right. I also feel like
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: you low resurrected clubhouse because I definitely did. That's what
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: they did. Yo. I'm like, I didn't even know if
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: people were still on Clubhouse until I'm like, Yo, wax
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Gold crazy, gonna cll me fucking I reinstalled the app.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I literally, but let me ask you this, right, So,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: like the six nine thing happens, and so much fallout
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: as far as relationships with you and artists who people
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: might perceive you to be close with, like obviously, h
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: there was a Jim Jones French shoot that you pulled
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: up to early last like last year, and then the
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Jim Jones thing happens, where you know, well, you know,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: I got to blame for something had nothing to do
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: with me, because they say I provide the platform for
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: him for six nine to say what he said, right,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: But I'm gonna keep it gangster, don't. I don't. I
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: don't harbor fugitives, you know what I'm saying. I got
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: a lot of people that I with new fifteen, twenty
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: thirty years and then you know, somebody slid me some paperwork,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And based upon what I'm
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: reading or what i'm seeing, not to say i've seen
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: paperwork on gym, I just heard the recordings of me
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: understanding the law. I'm a little confused and one sided
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: with that because I know what that is. You know
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So and you didn't necessarily bring up
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: your skepticism about that situation until they were static brought
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, well, you know he he he had
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: wanted to bring it up doing an interview, but I
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: didn't know nothing about what he was talking about. I'm like, Yo,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you can't talk about Jim doing his interview because because
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: I don't know what about Trumble, I can't defend him,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So he he was so
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: adamant about wanting to show me what he was talking about.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: It's scared I did some buster shit because I was
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: good with Jim at the time, right, And I didn't
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: even let him show it to me, because if he
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: showed me something that's real, then I gotta let him
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: talk about it, right, So I didn't want that to
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: happen on that on that right. So that's why if
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: you look at that like that never came up in
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: that interview, right. He tried to show me something on
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: on on casting over right, what he had on his phone.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: So me and Casting over relationship is kind of like
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: we see each other one day as who another day.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: We may not say nothing to each other. And I
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: know he in the situation he end, and I don't
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: like to kick no man when they down, So I
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: didn't even entertain what he was trying to show me
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: because Casanova ain't here to defend itself. So that's why
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I didn't allow that to be talked about, you know
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: what I mean. You know, so it's kind of like
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I don't know where me and casanovad you know what
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I mean. I think we both respect each other as men,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: but then we got our little issues with each other
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: about whatever it may be. Right, So that's why i'd
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: allow that to happen. But you know, when they come
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: on clubhouse and you know he was on, I got
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: tired of people asking me about yo six nine is
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: so you know what I'm gonna bring you on there
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: y'all asking and would shock the shit out of me.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Is the people that will come super aggressive at me
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: about six y nine questions on clubhouse man, Well your
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: six ' nine sir, excuse me man asking fuck me up?
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Right now. I'm one person, bro, I'm one person, and
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I'm going to defend myself when I say about giving
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: him a platform. Right, I want everybody to see this.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: If you people really felt the way you feel about
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: this individual, right, it should have said Whack one hundred
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: invites six ' nine in the clubhouse. Only eight people
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: showed up. It should not say that. Damn there, fourteen
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: thousand people came through there to a point that the
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: clubhouse staff they fucking expanded their bandwidth because it's seven
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: eight thousand people coming in there at the time and
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: another four five thousand people waiting to get in there.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I didn't give him the platform. The people that came
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: in there to hear that man's speak gave him the platform,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: right if it was. If it's that bad with him
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: with why support him that the venue should be empty? Right,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: We've all seen an empty venue. So I think people
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: might be like, why you did the interview? Obviously there's
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: there's the blue face fight that is that gonna happen,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Definitely gonna happen. I'm about about six point five million
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: away from the mark the number I need, which is
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: easy to on time. Once you get the money going,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: it's easy to pull other people. We'll get to the
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: fight and all that. But but but then people might say, Okay,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: well look we get it, you did, you did it,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: But but why continue to kind of bring him into
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: your world, like you know, he's not in your world.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: One time you've seen him one time I did an interview.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: How often do you talk to six nine? He called
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: me probably about two three times a week. So what
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you say at this point in time he had text
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: me on your face time and let me know that,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: you know, he got something because his business going on.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Would you say, at this point in time, you guys
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: are friendly with each other. Well, I'm not saying you
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: guys are friends I don't have. I'm not looking to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: do nothing to him. I was looking to do something
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: to him. I would have been done. I wouldn't have
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: never set out and did the interview. I feel like
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: it ain't my job to do nothing to him, you
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: know what I mean. I mean, at one point in time,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: that used to be the politics that when its own
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: like that, with somebody's own like that. But you know,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: I come to realize that people selectively politic what they
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: want to do, when they want to do it, and
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: with who they want to do it with. We you know,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: unless you my direct comrade, you know what I mean,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you my direct comrade. It don't work like that with me.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Because I look up all
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: the time and video shoots and all kind of shit
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: and people going live, and I'm like, damn dude really
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: in there with dude. He was just at the studio.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: We was having a discussion. But you know, okay, well
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: that's the way it's curbed. It's cool, the selective politic.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: And I feel like is definitely something that that that
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: that did have some merit when six times bringing that
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: up in the interview, because there are I mean, I'm
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: not gonna say any names, but there are artists, there
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: are executives that that. I mean some of the artists, right,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: like some big guys right that you know all but
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: pretty much you can confirm if probably and got down
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: you know, you know, it's some niggas that used to
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: be crips's bloods. There's probably some dudes used to be bloods.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: It's crips. You know, it's all kind of shit and
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: people know about it, but because of whatever's going on
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: with the business, they kind of overlooking. Well also too,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: I think like the reason why people are so the
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: six nine thing was such a huge story. It was like,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: it's only a huge story, Let's keep it real. The
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: story was only huge because of his platform. Who he is,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: right right, people can say what they want. Anything seen
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: around his name. People go crazy about y'all giving that power,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: not me. You know what I'm saying, I don't. I can't.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I can't recite the six nine verse. I can't. You
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I would have to go to
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the Spotify and see maybe one song I heard mistakingly
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: and I was like, Yo, that shit hard as a motherfucker.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like I couldn't front you know, hard,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: all right, that's him. I get it. But you know,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: at the end of the day is you know, the
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: people that really have a lot to say about him
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: don't matter. We're not part of his success as an artist.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: We're not the ones going to his concerts. We're not
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: gonna buy his merch whether he told or not. Right,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: we wouldn't have brought his mid Way, we wouldn't have
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: brought We ain't streaming his music. You're not his audience either.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: We're not his audience. So a lot of people that's
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: doing a lot of talking it really don't matter. Like
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, he kind of wasting your
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: time because his fan base they don't care. Do you
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: feel like you see his engagement the boy put up
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: some bullshit on It's crazy it's crazy fifteen million. Do
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: you feel like do you feel like like doing that
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: interview that it cost you anything. I'm pretty sure it
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: cost me a few friends. I'm really not bothered by
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: a life of people because I'm really a loner type dude.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: My close friends have called me and god on me.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I think the one that Thinnk got on me the most,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: right this bird Man. Yeah, you know, I you know,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a dude to keep it one hundred.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: You know. Ain't nobody bigger than the politics. That's my
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: brother and we get on each other. But Birdmen, out
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: of everybody, bird Man that got on my ass, like
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: on me. He told me how dissatisfied the year. He said,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I love you, you my brother. I ain't never going
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: against you. You know that we didn't been in the
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: trenches together, but god damn it, just the way I feel.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: What did he say? You know, he just told me,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: he said, who you are and what you stand for,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: what you represent is greater and bigger than that. Right.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: So even at the end of the day, some people
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: got that lane with me, you know what I mean
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: where they can call me and I'm gonna humble myself
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: and I'm gonna listen, you know what I'm saying, because
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I got that respect for him. They they earned that
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: from me, you know what I mean. I got a
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: few of my brothers. I ain't heard nothing from, you
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, And eventually I hear something from
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: maybe I won't, you know what I mean, But I
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: know what my mission, to my goal is what I'm doing.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: People are gonna take it, and they're gonna paint the
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: perception that they want to paint around it. Like it's
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: some people that I feel like shit going on with that.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I feel like others shouldn't fuck with, right t I
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: for one yo, till they figure that out. You know,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: I ain't with that kind of shit. Are you talking
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: about the allegations about it straight up? Like with the women? Yeah?
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: And then it's gonna be interested to see that what
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: comes of this, you know what I mean? Me personally,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I can't front I know t I I'm a t
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: I fair listening to our music. I hope he's innocent
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: of this shit. But I hope, I really really hope
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: that he's innocent of that. Right. But it's some things
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: that then went on in this man's life that a
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: lot of people don't overlook too keeping it real. Motherfuckers
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: ain't crazy. It's a lot of motherfuckers being to the fairs.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Motherfuckers understand the twelve month a day kick out, you
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. You know, And things are done
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: differently these days. So it's like, you know, it's a
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: lot of things that they went on and I look
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: at certain people and say, but I understand it, right.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: You know, it may be out of genuine love as
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: a brother, maybe some business going on. It may be
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: that they see it different than me, right, you know,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: and vice versa. So I'm gonna understand my side of
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: it too as well. You know what I'm saying. I think,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: like you said, like with the select with the selective politic,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: and there's a lot of that, you know. At the
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: end of the day, like I've done it. I've done it.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Like I didn't ask my artists do some shit they
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: did wrong on they're my artists, you know, what the
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: what the fucking what's something like that happening? It's kind
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: of do blue face, right, I've got calls in his
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: videos to where his homeboys was disrespecting with hand signs. Right,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: I got thirty forty year history with some of these neighborhoods.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. You know, they do shit
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: so fast these days. I didn't catch it, you know
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: what I mean. I'm paying attention to the artists, to
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the music, I'm paying attention to what he's saying, what
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: he's doing. I really ain't catching you know, what everybody
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: else is doing, but they like, you know, a whack,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: that's your artist on your watch, your fucking video, you
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: putting it out, and this this and this, this and
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: this that. Right, fuck dude. You know what I'm saying, Nah,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I can't ain't no fuck dude, right because you know,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: outside of me doing business with this man, I've learned
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: to love this man genuinely. I feel like you and
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: your wife kind of took him in as like your
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: own man. Like I mean, you know, he has he
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: has a mother, he has a very lovely I just
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: in terms of like that. But just I remember when
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: we first met him, your wife was telling us how
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: like you guys are helping him just get situated with
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: his first home purchase at the time. His home purchase
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: is credit is life insurance, his medicals, diner, everything, and
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I believe that young man is gonna grow to be
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: something great outside of music because he got a great
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: mind and he's a good kid man. Yeah, you know
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: what I mean. Young So he got he gonna do.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: He's still right now. He tell you take the fuck
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: out of me. Some ship he doing. And I'm pretty sure, hey,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: he only see that phone ring in one in the morning.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: He already know. But I think he knows that ain't
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to control him that I want to seem better. I
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: want to see him be here, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Because a little young man here, you know, he got
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the heart of a line and he ain't scared of nothing.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: But you know it's some things I'm telling him. The
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: bigger you get, you know what I mean, the less
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: lead way you had to make mistakes, you know what
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: I mean, he gonna be great. He gonna be greater
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: than what he's doing in music one day. You know,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: he's a business man. His restaurant, that's something he set
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: out and did. I didn't even know he was doing
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: it till he told me. Had he fire set out
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: and did put it together? You know what I mean?
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: So that let me know he a young boss, and
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna respect him as that. But because of my
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: relationship and my bond with him, right, yeah, I probably
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: when it came to this cripping blood that I was
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: probably supposed to be a little more assertive or aggressive
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: of what my people was calling me about, but the
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: selected politics because who he was to me, I probably
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: dealt with it a little wilder done you you know
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You know, And and with this gang
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: culture we got, man, it's so many it was out here.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: That's you know, we crips, and we got bloods is
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: our brothers and families. We bluods and we got crypts.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: That's our relatives. People we didn't did time with all
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: of us, got some top of hatred and then some
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: top of love and respect for the same side, for
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: the same enemy, you know what I mean. So it's
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: a little different. What did you and twenty one Savage
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: ever have any dialogue after the uh, very very very
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: loud back and forth were pretty much They're like, it's
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: on site. I'm glad you brought that up, because I
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: wasn't thinking about it. Like bird Man been on my
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: ass about twenty one Savage almost to a point where
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I'm damn they're jealous. Man, he is whack. That's family man, Savage,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: family man, you a g So what if he stepped
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: out of line a little bit? You know, he family.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: You didn't told me you fucked with him. I told
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: you I loved the little nigga to death. You supposed
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: to swallow that and dealt with that difference, like he
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: hear another when bird Man had been on my ass
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: about but me and Savage spoke the same day after
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the fact. I think what it was was somebody it
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: somebody already told me Savage had a distaste with somebody
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: did and I wasn't tripping. So when they pinged him
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: to the room they told me he was down there,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: I'm like, you'll bring him up. So I'm under the
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: impression I'm just gonna ask him, your savage, what's the issue?
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: He gonna tell me, and we're gonna have a conversation
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: because we both had mutual respect for one anohing right,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: But he you know, he kind of told me somebody
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: fed in some other ship, you know what I mean
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: to where when he came into the room, he was
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: already on charge because he was thinking something totally different.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: So you know, yeah, so what's triggered him off. A
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: little nigga, little gangster and a little punk. So you know,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: he figured somebody saying this is saying these things about him.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: He coming in a room. He dealing with the ship
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: head on right, I get it understanding now. So we
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: had a conversation in uh, one of his rooms. I
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: mean the way we chopped it up people was in
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: a room. This was after the been, the one that
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: went viral a been a couple of hours later. Because listen,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: for people who don't know you, you you have when you
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: are activated. No listen, I am like, like you know
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: this businessman father, Uh, but when you're when your fuse
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: is gone. I mean I know to do that right.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Doing that is more for me and more natural to
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: me than being this other dude. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: No matter you know, with age, it don't do nothing
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: but make you a more grouch your don't you know
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's all it does. So you know
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: when it happened because of who it was, I think
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: I did great and that was probably due to my
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: my my, my, my wife. I just held to me
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: that I need to learn how to, you know, deal
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: with my anger and not snap and I have a
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: short fuse. That's why I kind of like I was
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: trying to deal with it, but he just kept coming.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: And then you know, it's always this little man on
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: my shoulder. I can't get rid of this motherfucker man.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: He always trying to tell me and remind me of
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: some shit I should be mad at and how I
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: should be reacting. You know, when I'm trying to keep
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: a focus, mind like this, dude, don't go nowhere. I
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: don't want. I want to get rid of it, but
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: then to get I don't because he's kept me alive.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: I don't go down that block. You know what you
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: gotta do, Get off hand of your business, get up
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: out of there. Right. He's part of my instincts, you
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: know what I mean. So that's why when I when
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: I when I did talk to Savage a couple hours later,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: he came out and said, listen, man, you know I
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: thought this and thought that so the way I came
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: I might have came wrong. And I knew for him
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: to say that after I had approached him the way
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: I did, and we approached each other, I knew it
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: was genuine and there was some grown man shit, and
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: he really was outclassing me at that point in time
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: for me to keep tripping. So I had to hear
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: him out. So we you know, we verbally talked and
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: verbally was cordial for like another twenty thirty minutes towards
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: each other. Let me ask you this, right, because I
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: know that you had kind of you know, you've obviously
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: evolved as a man, right, Yeah, from being in your
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: younger days, definitely. And I think that there's an argument
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: that someone like maybe Meek Mill, who who you know.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: I know that you know you had kind of said like, look,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: once you state that this is what it is, then
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: when you're presented with the opportunity, you got to you
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: got to keep that energy to be real with you, right.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: I think something going to come good out of the
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: meet meal situation. What do you mean? Because I don't
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: think he's gonna ever do that again. Essentially, he's never
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: going to step out online again because I don't think
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: he's ever gonna voist what he's gonna do when he
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: sees somebody, right, I think he's gonna handle that differently.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: I think if that's his thoughts, he might keep that
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: to himself. If he gonna do it. He's gonna do it,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: but I think he's gonna put hisself in the position
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: to where the light ain't on him to do it. Well,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: that's what I was gonna say about Like the teop
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: wouldn't saying nothing. Nobody was gonna say nothing. What I
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: was gonna say about the twenty one Savage thing is like,
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: obviously even if he saw six or nine at the club,
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: like he didn't know, he didn't. But but but I'm saying,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: like hypothetically, you know he's got it. It wasn't his Well, see,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: he has not had all kind of ship that he
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: was saying. Savage said it did, so that was his
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: whole thing. His whole thing is if you one of
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: those dudes saying you're gonna do something to me, he
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: don't care about his saying Fox is now you're a rat.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: He don't give a fuck about that. If you want him.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Dudes are saying when I see you, it's on, then
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: he sees you and that happens. That's his home. Yeah,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I would just I would hope twenty one Savage would
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: risk his freedom, is his career just because you know, well,
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: I mean I defended twenty one in the in the
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: interview he did because I was like, just because y'all
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: in the same he saw you, and he saw you
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: and then at the same token, uh, he ain't the
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: one got the real direct beat with you, So a
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: why would he put on his online you know what
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: I'm saying at the end of the day, you know
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: what I mean. So I said, listen, if he did
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: say or do these things because I hadn't heard it
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: or seen it personally, then I feel where you're coming from.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: And I think that's what Savage had a problem with,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But once we talked and
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: he kind of you know, he got it like I
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: got where he was coming from. I don't expect twenty
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: one to beat the under not at all. Have you
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: given six ' nine any off camera, off clubhouse advice,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: because if I feel like Tony mister starm disrespecting the dead,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, I told him that you
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: didne made enough enemies. Want you give some attention to
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: your fans. I don't think that you need to be
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: so controversial on the negative side to bring attention to
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: your music. I think it's I've seen him do things,
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: you know, like over the years when I don't even
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: know who he was, and I've seen him like go
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: visit uh, go and visit uh kids, you know what
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: I mean, that on their last leg of living and
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: stuff like that. So I just feel like, you know,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: if you're gonna do something, man, focus on your music
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: and do some positive things. Man, you know your fans.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Let your fans love you. People that's gonna hate you,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: that's gonna they're gonna hate you. You've done what you did.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: There's no sense in antagonizing them anymore, you know, especially
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: the Little Dirt shit. You know, I like Little Dirt. Yeah,
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: the Dirt shit. I feel like he's out of pocket.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: I like, I like Little Dirt, you know what I mean.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: So you know, think Little Dirt and made versus something
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: on some Drake song you know, I don't know, or
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: some shit, but so what, it's a verse, you know
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: what I mean? The fuck? You know what I mean.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: I like Little Dirt, you know what I mean. So,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: you know, anybody tied the Little Dirt, you know, he
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: needs to refrain from saying the things he's been saying.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: You know this, this is what I told him, you
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: know what I mean. So whether he does. It looked
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: at me like he might be doing it, but you
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: never knows his own man, when you're going to think advertising,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: I'm moving around with no security now, probably not the smartest.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: I think his whole thing was that is because I
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: hate to say it, he's really trying to expose the
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: streets because the streets is painting the picture of those
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: in the streets. That's saying what they want to do
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: that I can't do because it is you know what
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I'm saying. So he's like, yo, bro, stop lying. I'm
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: not moving like that. I'm right here. So that was
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: his way of kind of like exposing do you think
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: instead of really exposing the streets, he really just exposed
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: the perception of what hip hop hip hop fans think
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: is the streets, right, because we look at definitely our
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: favorite artists and we think, yo, that's the streets. At
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: lot I seen Rick Ross. Uh I was on Instagram
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: and Rick Ross was they was he was interviewing. It
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: might have been Breakfast Club and they asked Rick Ross
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: about the Drake Kanye thing. Said, menim dudes got too
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: much money. I think I want to see I wouldn't
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: see them doing so together ross thing. They got too
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: much money. They having fun with it, right. But you know,
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: to the fans, you know, they eating that ship up.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: You know, they think Drake gonna come from some gangsters
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: from the six and Kanye gonna come from some gds
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: some ship from Chicago. But that's not gonna happen. These dudes.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: These dudes can't control. They always know when gonna be
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: in the building where they are. Their situation says they
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: can be in the bill that's gonna be the section,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: that's gonna be their section, you know what I mean.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: So you know, I hate to say it, but the
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: world we live in social media, they crave negativity. You
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: put up something, you're doing something positive, whatever. I feel like,
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: what's the brother Trade of Truth should get millions of
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: likes and views? Of course, man, he's one of the
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: rarest community relief game some relief games rogers, right, you see,
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: he get his He get it as little perks because
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: a lot of people with blue checks might be on it, right,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: But I think Trade of Truth does deserves the millions
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: of you. I feel like Trader Truth should have forty
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: million followers, right, But then you go over here to
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: the other dude, right, that got less followers. But he
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: may promote a fight, say yo, fuck this, fuck that,
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: of this, this and that, and that's where all the
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: traffic goes. Unfortunately, that's the world we live. That's what
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: it is. And I understand that. I understand that to
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: be entertainment. See a lot of these people take this
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: ship to sais and too real. It's like the news.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: If you think about the news, the ratings for the
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: news were the highest when Trump was in office, straight up,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: because they want the controversy. This dude, the controversy. He's
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: gonna say some crazy He's gonna say some wild shit
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: every day New CNN, Twitter, Instagram, and then and and
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: and whether you're on the left or the right or
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: in the middle, there's a channel for you to go
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: and there it goes reaffirm what you feel. And a
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: lot of this look, a lot of this ship be entertainment.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. A lot of it is
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: entertainment because we know we have to entertain you know
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: what I mean? We know what what what what they
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: want to see what they don't want. Do you look
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: at yourself as an entertainer? Nou kind of because you're
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: you're kind of a social media you know, people think
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: I think my I think my entertainment kicks in because
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: the things I say in address it's borderline with the
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: negativity and that might lead to violence. So it's something
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: for him to talk about, because I think that you
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: are looked at, like for people who don't even know
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: who the fuck you are as far as what you
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: do in the industry. People just fough like there's people
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: who are following you just because they saw some wild
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: shit you might have seen exactly. They don't maybe respect
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: to understand. They see a fight. I didn't want to
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: have a fucking fight. I'm telling them the world. I
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: didn't want to have to fight. I didn't go to
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: the burger stand that day to have to fight. It's
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: a fight that just happened. I didn't record the fight.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: It's just somebody out here with a goddamn camera, right,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: recording something and then win. Right, But that thing got
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: one hundred two hundred thousand, and it's not even the
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: first time you've knocked someone out on camera shot. I mean,
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: I didn't had a minion fight right right, right, because
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: they saw it, then that's just what that is, right.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: But that's what what the people won't that's what they crap.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: I don't. I was sitting watching chick film with my
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: wife because that's my wife. Man put on some shit
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: with them dudes jumping out the helicopter. This shit just
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: got bombed. The drones came in. That's what I want
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: to see, right, That's what excites me. And I think
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: that just what excites people. You know. That's why when
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: you see a lot of these rappers, when they become
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: other things and they start shining away from it, you
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: don't hear jay z name unless he didn't drop the
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: verse a crazy verse, or he didn't brought another company
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: or got another billion dollar check. Straight up, you don't
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: hear it nowhere? What is uh? What is you? In
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: your opinion, the biggest misconception about the music industry. I
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: think the misconception of music industry is that the music
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: industry is actually the streets and they don't understand that
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: everybody from the streets is in the music industries and
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: get away from the streets. So if it's a figment
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: of your imagination of what you think it is, you
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: know what I'm saying on some real shit, and I
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: think that's what it is. Don't get it wrong. We
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: still got We still got some of these youngsters. I
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: seen twenty one Savage on there with Gilly and Wallow Right.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: That's probably my favorite podcast. By the way, Gilly, I'm
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: coming for your ass. I heard what you said. Gilly.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: We're gonna address that, like, stop ducking me. Set the
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: date right. So Savage was like in y'all era, I
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: think a lot of the rappers was bitch ass niggas
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: right they did our era. A lot of these young
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: rappers really come from that, right. I think Gilly kind
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: of correctly was like, well, the rapper wanted to be
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the street nigga. Now the street nigga wants to be
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: the rapper. Yeah. Back when we were, you know, the
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: little young rappers pull up. We out there with our money,
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: our juria cars grow, They're like, yo, I want to
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: be like big such and such. Right. Also back then,
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: let's transparency, right, So back then it was easier to
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: be a gangster even if you weren't, because there wasn't
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: social media to to pull your car exactly. You really
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: had to be that because people heard about it from
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: shit that really happened. Now you can go do a
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: couple of videos pull up by a certain spots where
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: the right thing being around, the right people off the
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: right gangster. We're seeing it happen with six nine. Yeah,
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Like I was, it was
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: crazy shout out to uncle murder. I was listening, you know,
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: I always go to this page every day, listen to
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: the wrap up things like that. They had a song
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: with him six nine, uh fifty and young man was
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: talking about earlier. The one was locked up Cassanova right,
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: six nine going crazy, he blood and the everything's for
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: you know, all the bullshit went down, right, But you
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: see six now a fucking castanoa fucking uncle murder, Uncle
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: murder won the realist nigga come out of Brooklyn facts
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: right fifty Okay, shit, what you think that did to that?
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: That kid's head right right right? And now he starts
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: to live this shit mentally. Now his little fans is
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: not these other dudes fans. Oh yeah, he gangster. He
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: was with such and such. That was a control video.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: It was a reason why they did that video. It's
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: different demographics for murdering fifty in casting over. You know
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: what I'm saying, And if you look on that shit
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: got about thirty five forty million the streams versus other songs.
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: They don't. That's the business of it, you know what
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: I'm saying. And this is out of time. Why I
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: had a dislike for six nine when that video happened,
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: well years that murdered my man. Yeah, game, game back
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: here for murder, my man, murder ta you never got
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: a call from me talking about why the fuck you
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: doing this video? Because I understand that's some business going
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: on on the fiftieth floor. Understood the business part of it.
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: I knew once that was done and over with, murder
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: was going back to what he's going back to. Dude,
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: was going back to where he was going back to
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: what was the games? Thoughts on you doing the six ninety.
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: He hadn't said nothing to me, which means I haven't.
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: If I get to a point where he think I
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: went too far, he'll tell you. He gonna come knock
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: on my door. That's happened before. Oh yeah, definitely, yeah, Yeah,
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: he don't give a fuck. He gonna look, he gonna
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: I'm open the door, and he gonna woo woo, woo whoo.
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: I love you, and he's gonna walk away, get his
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: car and go home. He don't buy his tongue with
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: me one big what was it? And uh, maybe an
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: example you could share where that happened, where game was
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: like kind of kind of give you an ear full
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: of some of some of the ship. You might have said,
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: what the fuck was I was doing something on social media?
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: Oh Nipsey, I was gonna say, was it? Had there
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: been the Nipsey thing? You think? Right? It was Nipsey,
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: But he understood what I was saying. To be clear,
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: what you said was Nipsey's not a legends, not a
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: legend in music. In music, yeah, not in the streets.
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: You know the streets he from were dictating and determine that.
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying by the way that I
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: think you were in the club and you had the
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: DJ players music. I remember I was in Chicago. Yeah,
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: I remember that he plays me up some West coast
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: ship like you know, you know I did that. I
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: stopped the whole club. We was in Chicago, and me
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: and Blue Face and did that. And just so you know,
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: Blueface neighborhood and the neighborhood don't get along. You know,
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: that could have caused a riff that I'm in the
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: middle of a blue Face club hosting. I stopped the
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: whole club and you know, just you know, a moment
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: of silence for Nip and let's play his music. And
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: then we went on by our night. But it got
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: to a point to where Game definitely pulled up on me.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: What are you saying? He said, Bro, I understand everything
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: you said, You got your point across. Can you please
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: just not saying no more? I tell you and I'm
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: going on, And he wrote out, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: So when that happened, I remember me and Head talking like, damns,
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: there's some shit like we love you act right, but
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: I'm like, there's just some shit like you could have
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: kept to yourself. And I think you know and you right,
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: But I think in my life, in my world, it's
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: fake as all this shit is. I like to keep
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: it as real as I can. Like, even if you
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: feel that way, right, and I'm not saying I share
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: your opinion about then shit, but even if you feel
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: that way, and not to say, you know, the way
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: you laid out your argument about look ice cube, snoop
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: dre all these, Yeah, why even put it out there? Well,
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: they asked me a question, and I think the problem
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: with me is I don't know how to run fair enough.
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep it real. I think if a person
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: asked me a question and I have a logical answer
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: and I say, well, what this answered them? People over
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: there ain't gonna like I'm gonna say, well, why they're
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: not gonna like it? Am I telling the lie? Am
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: I am I disrespecting anybody? Or is it I shouldn't
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: say it because of how they gonna they telling me.
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: I just think, like anytime, there's no different than when
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: I come into hold tanks back then in them days.
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: Hey because they cause they cause, they cause, they cause,
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: they cause they cause where you're from. Nine deep Nigga
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: is par role some people that would have said nowhere,
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: I couldn't run. Whatever came with that, It came with that,
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: And I think that's really what my problem is. And
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: I know how to fix the problem. I'm fixing the
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: problem as far as because because I always tell my
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: h my son the problem we were talking about our
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: wives earlier, right, and I always make I always tell
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: my right, my son's fifteen, and I always say, hey, look,
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: sometimes I just want out you gotta just bite your lip.
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: And in my household, in my household, I call it
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: making a business decision with my wife. I'm gonna let
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: you have that w I'm gonna just I'm gonna make
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: the business decision and not say nothing. Let you win.
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: And you know, that's another thing that I gotta work on,
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: because you know, I'd be like shit, you know, but
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: women gotta do it to it us sometimes, you know,
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: they can put up a greater argument, but depending on
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: how we feeling about it and how we reacting to it,
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: they should know like let that go. But I think
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: my way of fixing that problem is Indie Life, which
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: is that mobile app is by ready to launch to
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: where that's me giving back to the music community, the
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: underground community which I cater to from the unsign and
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: artists right to where now I don't really have to
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: be a visible face of it. I let y'all utilize that.
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: And I'm gonna go on with the next chapter of
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: my life to I got rid of all the jeans
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: and the Georgians. I might keep a couple of joy
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: is a word with a couple of suits, right, And
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: I'm doing something different to where I'm not even in
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: that conversation, you know what I'm saying like that, Like
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: jay Z got a line on four four four. You know,
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: I want to be on the floor where ain't no
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: real niggas in the room. Really, that's what I'm That's
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: that's what I'm targeted. That's a I think that should
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: be everyone's aspirations, man, because if I'm there and you
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: ask me, I'm gonna say something. So I gotta i
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: gotta remove myself from being so accessible to being in
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: front of that can. Did you resolve any sort because
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: I know that there was like speculation that you had
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: gotten into a scuffle. Was it rolling loud with Nipsey's
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: camp you know, watch this? Yeah right, I'm in Lancaster, California.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: Got into a fight with some skin He is right,
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: somebody had a camera. Let me ask you something, thinking
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: wack had to fight a wack guy hit and hit
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: the ground, or we was a lock up we had
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: rolling loud, it wouldn't be no footage. I mean, obviously
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: the fuck out of here. I'm not even trying to
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: no this. I'm just saying, right, I'm not even trying
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: to go down like whether that happened, this is just
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: real shit, right right, But they hate me so much
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: and they want to see me take a loss so
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: bad that if a motherfucker say it, that's what happened. Right.
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: But even with that, you gotta understand, it's a million
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: different stories out there. All he disrespect Dipsey. Uh, he
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: say he wasn't from here, or he say he wasn't
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: alleged he wasn't who he was to where he's from.
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: Like you know, people then took it and twisted their
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: own way. You know. I challenge anybody to find any
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: footage that says anything different from me addressing music, because
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: that was really all you were addressing. That's it, and
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: that's obviously it's your opinion. It's not my place to
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: address where you're from. I'm not from where you're from.
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: I haven't kept up with his stats over there. You
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. We ain't. We ain't did business
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: like that. We was acquainted, we talked to each other,
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: we had each other's phone numbers. Uh, we did some business.
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: I helped him with his in his early career. You
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Shit like lax tour case slay,
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna want to put him on New York Radio.
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, You know, a bunch of
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: shit like that that tour. It's crazy because that tour
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: was the first time I ever met nip was that
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: tour he was in I was on Rady on Boise.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: A lot of people like to take credit for that.
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, I'm not gonna take the
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: credit for that. A lot of people like to get
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: Big U the credit for that, But ultimately, I'm gonna
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: be real. As cocky as Nipsey was, he had to
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: want to be over there with Game, and as cocky
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: and the strict as Game is with who's out with
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: him on tour, he had to want that to happen.
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: So you know that's that was a relationship, you know
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's why I know Game is real
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: genuine about that. Game did some shit. He did some
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: shit the homies do on't like. He took a Lamborghini
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: rapping in blue, put fucking Nipsy down one side and
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: violated everything pol roofs Dawn and put Crenshaw down the
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: other side. You know what I'm saying, ain't no power
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: rules on Crenshaw. You know what I'm saying, but that's
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: the way he was feeling about his homeboy's partner. I
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: got a million calls about it. Man, he ain't supposed
- 1:49:27Speaker 1: to a listen, bro. See that's the difference between street
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: shit and the industry shit. Industry shit, some brotherhood shit. Also,
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, I ain't gonna call
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: game Mayo game. Listen, man, take that off your car. Well,
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: also like a game is also another example of someone
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: who's evolved as a human and as a as a businessman,
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: as a what he represents something that that has to
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: be that and that's really not who he represents himself
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: to be. That's where he's from, that's where he came
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: from and all that. But I think people, it's a
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: lot of people, bro. They stuck on the second chapter,
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: and they book of life. Some of us is on
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: our tenth book, ninth chapter. So they stuck on the
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: second chapter. This what is supposed to be blood or
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: this what is supposed to be cut? They ain't. They
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: ain't evolving to writing these chapters and closing that book
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: out and going to the next book and evolving to
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: who they gonna be as a man, as a father,
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: as a businessman, as a home boy, as a comrade.
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: You know what I mean. They haven't they they haven't
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: done that. So when we down here on our tenth book,
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: ninth chapter, they still see it the way they seen
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: on their first book, second chapter. Got a forty year
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: old fifteen year old. That's a real shit, bigger of
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: a nigga fifty five by default when you combine it too.
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: But then if you average it out, there's a whole
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: nother you know what I'm saying. So it's different and
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: we see it different, and you can't argue with them people,
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: because I understand how you seeing it. I totally understand
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: how you seeing it because at one point in time,
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: when I was in my first book, second chapter, many
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: many moons ago, I seen it that way too. But
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: I also see it because I'm on my tenth book,
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: ninth chapter that you still down there. That's some real shit, man.
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: That's something that's a that's a bar uh talk about game.
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: I just went over to his crib like last month.
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: He played me. I know he's got this like playlist
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: that he's gonna put out, but he's also got this album.
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: That album come. I don't know if this album is crazy.
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: I heard some crazy we're going NFT and I got
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: to see which way he want to go with it.
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: You know, with me and Game do our minus. We
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: sit down and we bounce ideas around. He listened to me,
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: I'll listen to him. We sleep on it, and then
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: we text and then from there that's just what it's
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: gonna be. And then I take the business and whatever
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: we come up with, and then that's just what it is.
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: You know what's crazy is like I was even talking
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: to him just about like how somehow he's become underappreciated
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: in the last like ten, Game is the most under man.
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: I'll be seeing so many Top ten, Top five, Top this,
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: and top that. Like, Bro, it's very few artists right
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: now that can go on that studio. And I'll wrap
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: that man with substance. You know what I'm saying. That
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: man still records. When you hear him record, it ain't
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: a fucking solid and his disco is untouchable. It's crazy,
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Game is still going and
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: do foss six songs, Bro, night, no problem. I think
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: you are the man that records three hundred songs album.
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: I think Game is kind of like uh an example
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: of someone who just doesn't play the industry bullshit in it,
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: like like you know, like there's you go to a
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: fucking industry event and you'll go to five in a
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: month and you'll see the same Like he don't play that.
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: You don't care about the award awards. He ain't doing
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: none of that ship because he know he understands the end.
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: Like bro, that's a bunch of fake shit. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah. Man, fuck that nigga, and you know, man,
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: let's get something to do some work and then you
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: try to hit him then answer or the manager is calling,
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: you know, with some bullshit. So he just like he
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: deal with who he deal with, and like this is
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: what I was telling him. I'm like, dude, like when
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: it comes to people who make actual albums, and if
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: we're look in a discography against discography, he's like top
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: five all time, all day. Game don't put out whack albums.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: Well no, it's not gonna you could go through the
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: greatest of all time, and they got some black eyes
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: on their discography, right, But like Game, when it's a
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: game album, it's always front to back. You press player.
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: Let that bitch ride, and I think really my main
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: goal is over the next twelve months is to help
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: the underground artists and definitely I need to uh my
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: West Coast artists out here. You know, it's a lot
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: of politics and a lot of shit that goes on
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: and they don't have to reach to so I want
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: to position them so they can win. You know, our voices.
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: You know, the South been in control. Yeah you know
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: what I'm saying, And they strong down there, and they
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: gonna continue to be thriving and still be strong. But
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: you know, I think that the West could be just
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: as strong and just ass thrive. And it's nothing wrong
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: with you know what I mean every region we go to,
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: it's that dominant strength going on. But it's only gonna
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: happen if we help these youngsters. You know a lot
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: of people out here, in my position as a CEO,
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: that that playing CEO, that got artist up on them,
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: that got movements, they just don't know. So it's kind
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: of on me to help get them there. I got
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: an obligation to take Blue Face and get him, help
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: get him to that next level of me and a superstar.
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: You know, my up and coming artist True Car and
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: Conyote and you know what I mean, And you know,
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: to help them Flash Gotti become that. They got to
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: moving down there in Compton called Rose Krantz. We got
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: Mari Ruger. We got Adobe from westside Parlo. Adobe is
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: really standing in there on the business side. You got
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: Mari Ruger. You got a tone, you know, a tone tone.
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: Then they got another kid. He from I think he
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: might be from forgive me for this. He might be
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: from Saint Louis or some world toward woo. He might
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: have seen him. He was getting it to Soldier Boy.
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: He didn't one said the film Soldier Boy. That's some
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: crazy shit right there. So you got that going on
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: over there. But these are movements that they stay in
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: that pocket because the resources of them having access to
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: these blogs and knowing how to do this and knowing
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: how to do that, you know what I mean. They
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: don't know, but they but it's there. The talent, the
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: skill is there. If I put something in front of
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: you and you interview this person or you listen to
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: that music in your studio over there, you're like, Yo,
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: this dude, dope, and where you been. Yeah, I've been
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: over there grinding like five years damn no shit. Why
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: do you think that is though, because like everyone has
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: to you know, they don't want to let nobody in
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: the people that's in. But if you really think about
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: like where the music industry exists now, it's here like
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: it used to be. You can move to New York
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: and make it. You can move, but it's you got
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: to think about it. Bro. When the Powers to Be
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: had the voice they was letting people in game, then
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: they did the passing of the torch. Remember it was Kendrick. Yeah,
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: all that to Kendred right, this shit then went to
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: a digital world, a total different world to where I
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: got more of a voice now in this world than
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: people I consider to be my legends, because that ain't
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: they world, and that ain't they laying and you're playing
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: that world exactly. So you know, so now it's a
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: lot of the obligation is on me. So you know,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: I got other things that I'm moving off to, moving
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: on to, but I'm not gonna just leave them high
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: and drama. Make sure I leave some here a platform
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: here to where it's gonna work for them and help
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: them get to where they go to and expedited a
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: little faster, you know, what I mean, you have a
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: great relationship with p at QC. That's another dude that
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: I watch. He has motivated me because he helps them
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: youngsters out that gutter him Gucci Maine. I watched them
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: and they made me tell myself, Yo, I need this
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: that my game up because they really really helped them
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: youngsters and get them a platform. And I've been to
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: QC studios. I don't know none of these dudes. They
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: just up and coming dudes, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: But they round you know, his big artists so they
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: can see how it going, you know what I mean,
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: And he helping them get funny and position them. You know, look,
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: look what the evolution of little Baby, Yeah, it's crazy,
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. He didn't went from from
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: the little dude that come to shoot dice with the
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: artists at the studio to in the studio to being
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: one of the hottest in the studio to now he
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: got artists as hot that's under him in the studio
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: to where he got his own label situation. And you know,
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: he blewprinted off of what he's seen Pete do with him,
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: and Pete supporting him, and they supporting each other. So
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: you know, he's he's really one of the ones that, yeah,
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: I think I look at like what he's doing, and like,
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: look at what YO got. He's doing Birdman too, you
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: know bird Man of course, you know burd with certain
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: guys that I see what they doing to where I
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: feel like I got an obligation to step to the plate.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: What about you know, I know you and top got
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: a great relationship obviously, you know, TD being the I guess,
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: kind of the closest thing we've had to death Row
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: Sin's Death Row. Yeah, definitely, Top Dogs, definitely one of
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: my mentors, one of my g homies. I don't say
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: that about everybody. He's definitely somebody that one of them
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: in a buying or I need to make a decision
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: or I'm kind of at odds about which way I
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: should go with something somebody I called because I definitely
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: respect his opinion. And you see the the leadership, you know,
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: and uh, the class he showed with Kendrick just being
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: Kendrick's last album. You know what I'm saying. You know,
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: if you're paying attention, he's just then woke up and
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: got back on the gas, you know what I mean.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: He got Ravon, Rayvon Dope beast him and Kendrick and
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: Top and Jay Rock and Top came to the studio
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: with True Car and gave me a bank. Rayvon's a
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: beast man. We had him on the show. We had
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: so Rayvaon lived in Arizona for little bit. Okay, so
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: one of my Arizona homies has been managing forever. So
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: ray Vn came on me in head show like three
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: or four years ago. Good dude, good dude. He's a beast,
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: funny as hell too. Hilario does his hilarious little his diary.
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: Yeah he's hillariy. Yeah. But see, and to artists, pay
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: attention to ray Vin because not only is he a beast,
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: and I want to say, nephew from Long Beat, He's
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: from Long Beach. Here he from Long Beast, right, And
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: I can't. I don't know if he gang bangs or
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: not because time I seen, we don't know, no conversation.
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: But he also is not scared to show his sense
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: of humor and be himself. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:59:38Speaker 1: In that sense of humors was translating to tik tok,
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: which is growing his fan base. And then when you
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: listen to his music. It's real, It's authentic. Street is real.
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: So you know some people is too gangster for this
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: ship today. I tell you, if you're too gangster, I
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: can't do nothing for you. You're too gangster to have
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: a sense of humor is something the kids want to
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: talk about a lot, have about it. TikTok two. I can't.
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: I can't do nothing with you because I can't do
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: those things right right right, Yeah, you can't be funny
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: and no. I can take your I can take your product,
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: and I can put it in places that you can't,
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: but you got to create the product. I really do
- 2:00:17Speaker 1: think like ray Von is like kind of an evolution
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: to Kendrick, right, because like Kendrick is obviously to the
- 2:00:22Speaker 1: point I always say, there's like, well so listen, listen, listen,
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: like it's only one game, there's only one Kendrick. No,
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: But what I was gonna say was that I think
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: ray vn is talented enough to one day we'll be
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: sitting here saying there's only one. That's what I was
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: gonna say. Like, if you think of Kendrick, right, Kendrick
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: is in my opinion top five all time. That's my
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: personal opinion, my personal opinion. Right, I always tell people,
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: if you got Bigger in your top five, and he
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: only put out two albums, how the fuck don't you
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: got Kendrick in your top You know? The first time
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: I heard Kendrick when where was it? New York? Top
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: Dog and New came out there. They were just moving
- 2:00:58Speaker 1: around to introduce them. The case like Shaq and my God,
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: money Mark was doing this thing in Long Island. Everybody
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: was there, bun Bee all eybody was there performing and
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: ship like that, and fucking Patpoos had got up there.
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: Jay Rock went Pat Pools get up there and does that?
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: Ends his set with alphabetical slaughtering right, classic great mixtape,
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: Classic Kendrick At the time, Who is motherfucking Kate Haydoe
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: sitting over there? The shy guy? You know, he looking
- 2:01:30Speaker 1: at me and I'm looking at him. I'm looking at Top.
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: I'm like Top. He's like yeah, he like, you want
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: to go up there after that? He's like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: you shure you want to go up there after that?
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: Pat Pools in New York, right, he like yeah yeah,
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: yeah yeah right, and he went up there, and you know,
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: you get up there, get somebody the mike. You kind
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: of fade to the left, you talking, and right when
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: he started going, I'm like, what the fuck? I look
- 2:01:54Speaker 1: at Top, I say Top, that's the one that the
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: first time I heard Kendrick get out was when he
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: came behind Pat Pools in New York and Pool's gonna
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: make it hard for you. He'll make it hard for anybody,
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: so especially I'm assuming this was like six somewhere like that.
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: This is like Peaks, Pat Poo's running the mixtapepe Ship
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: running all that just old, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: And it was then, So that was my first bar
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: of Yeah, I just think Kendrick like his lyrical proudness
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: and like, you know, Kendrick is on a level kind
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: of where he calls at right where like they don't
- 2:02:34Speaker 1: need to be on TikTok thing, No, they're omn the present.
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: They're on the present. But I think Ray Vaughan has
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: the opportunity to be the like lyrical person. That's kind
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: of you know when we look when we think of
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: the young like generation, right, I think you can think
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: of cord A, You can think of a few guys
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: who are kind of who can get down with the
- 2:02:54Speaker 1: bars right, But I think ray Von has an opportunity.
- 2:02:56Speaker 1: I got that edgy ship to him, like he like,
- 2:02:58Speaker 1: you know, like our true Car got that edgy ship
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: to him. You know you need that pain Raven's got
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: the Raven played the song. I don't know if it's
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: ever gonna come out, but he played a song that
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: like made me tear up in the studio because it
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: was about when he lost his baby mom and it
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: was crazy and I'm like, man, he's got this. But
- 2:03:12Speaker 1: then he also has the social media ship on lock
- 2:03:17Speaker 1: because he's fucking hilarious. He's funniest man. That damn dear
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: Diary shit he does. Bro that ship called me off
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: gard one day. I didn't know what he was doing.
- 2:03:27Speaker 1: I spent all my food. I'm like, what the fuck
- 2:03:29Speaker 1: is some of your Mama boo booed on myself, like
- 2:03:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But but he has a
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: sense of humor. Man, shout out to Rayven. He gonna
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: be some grapscot one for sure. TD gonna continue to
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: look at look at doing numbers whole so coming again.
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: I've seen something about something popped up on scissor, you
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: know what I mean? Jay Rock still over there doing
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Uh Q Schoolboy Q and
- 2:03:55Speaker 1: the other the other nephew from from Carson. He's a
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: beep to appstepisode on right. He goes in the studio lights,
- 2:04:06Speaker 1: puts his arms behind his back and goals, Aien, would
- 2:04:11Speaker 1: you ever do a podcast yourself? Way? They've been reaching
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: for me to do it, academics that uh he hinted around,
- 2:04:17Speaker 1: maybe I do so with him. My guys at Paradigm
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: Fred Andrew Ruff that they've been in conversations with with
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: a few platforms. So yeah, I definitely would consider it.
- 2:04:28Speaker 1: I wouldn't I wouldn't mind it'd be another platform, but
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: I would like want to. I would want to. I
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: would want to put the attention on those people that
- 2:04:34Speaker 1: they can't see. You know what I'm saying, you know
- 2:04:37Speaker 1: what I mean, like share your platform with some people
- 2:04:40Speaker 1: people who really benefit off it. Drake was once one
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: of those guys that people couldn't see. You know, you
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: never know, you know it's out there. It's a lot
- 2:04:49Speaker 1: of them out there. So I would definitely want to
- 2:04:51Speaker 1: put my attention on on nose if I did my podcast,
- 2:04:54Speaker 1: we could mix in the common ship, but I would
- 2:04:56Speaker 1: want to be that gateway to the underground artist. You
- 2:04:59Speaker 1: know what I mean, I mean the underground producers, you know,
- 2:05:03Speaker 1: the management, those CEOs up and coming to put some
- 2:05:05Speaker 1: light on them. You talked about how when you first
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: signed Blueface, you helped get his credit together, help them
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: get the house. Let's say you signed somebody today and
- 2:05:12Speaker 1: they got a five hundred credit score. What is your like,
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: what do you how do you help them get their
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: shit together? Because I think that this is one of
- 2:05:20Speaker 1: the more under appreciated things about outside the music in
- 2:05:23Speaker 1: the streets. You know, I'm a businessman, yes, so you know,
- 2:05:26Speaker 1: shout out to my man, Travis Wilson. That's to see
- 2:05:28Speaker 1: what my success try for the stars follow him on Instagram.
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: I'm definitely gonna have them pull their profile and I'll
- 2:05:36Speaker 1: have my team sit down and we're gonna look at
- 2:05:38Speaker 1: everything they have going on. And these are costs and
- 2:05:41Speaker 1: expenses that I absorbed. I don't charge its back to them,
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And we're gonna look at
- 2:05:46Speaker 1: what's going on with them. We're gonna get them right,
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: you know what I mean. A lot of these they
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: come and they got fucking repolls and lates. They don't
- 2:05:54Speaker 1: know they just get the call them out. You know,
- 2:05:56Speaker 1: I paid when I paid, so I definitely want to
- 2:05:58Speaker 1: get them right with that. Yeah, you know, you can't
- 2:06:01Speaker 1: be running around here with no medical and shit. You
- 2:06:03Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. You got your dinner work done?
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: You need to do that. A lot of your artists,
- 2:06:07Speaker 1: for real, y'all got ten thousand dollars of clothes on
- 2:06:11Speaker 1: two hundred thousand dollars a jury. You know, listen, I
- 2:06:13Speaker 1: know you got used to looking at yourself like that,
- 2:06:16Speaker 1: you know, bro, going to the dinners, spend put your
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: teeth together, get and get your teeth together. Man, It's
- 2:06:20Speaker 1: just real shit. Man, y'all need to definitely do that.
- 2:06:22Speaker 1: And make sure that your kids don't come up the
- 2:06:25Speaker 1: way you come up because you used to seeing yourself
- 2:06:27Speaker 1: like that, and make sure you keep them right and
- 2:06:29Speaker 1: keep them together, you know what I mean. So you
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: know it's just about you know, I want them to
- 2:06:34Speaker 1: be a reflection to me and then grow to become
- 2:06:36Speaker 1: better than me. That's fair, you know what I mean.
- 2:06:39Speaker 1: You know, Segue and how you you know, we were
- 2:06:42Speaker 1: just talking about how your daughter, you know, unfortunately she
- 2:06:44Speaker 1: tore Achilles. You just tore Achilles. But you always you know,
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: you're a great wha text, I'm like you all make
- 2:06:50Speaker 1: Cais with you. You're a great father man, like you know,
- 2:06:53Speaker 1: whether your daughter has a cheerleading competition in Vegas, you're there.
- 2:06:56Speaker 1: You always say like, you know, I want my daughter
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: like I want my children to not follow in my footsteps,
- 2:07:03Speaker 1: my son to be better than me. Like me and
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: my son. Kind of we hit a rough patch couple
- 2:07:07Speaker 1: months ago, you know what I mean. But he's right
- 2:07:09Speaker 1: there at that stage where he's seeing it his way
- 2:07:11Speaker 1: and I'm seeing the way. Twenty just turned twenty seven, right,
- 2:07:15Speaker 1: But you know he's been man in the house all
- 2:07:18Speaker 1: this time because I'm not there half the time. Me
- 2:07:20Speaker 1: and my wife here there they're whatever, right, But you know,
- 2:07:24Speaker 1: we hit a rough pasture where you know, he did
- 2:07:27Speaker 1: something that I respected he did. I came home one
- 2:07:30Speaker 1: day and he was gone. You know what I'm saying.
- 2:07:35Speaker 1: He was gone. But at this on the flip side,
- 2:07:37Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do make him come home? Man grown? Right?
- 2:07:40Speaker 1: You know I didne gave him everything I can give him.
- 2:07:42Speaker 1: When I'm still here to give me some more. He
- 2:07:44Speaker 1: know I'm here if he slipping and follow him and
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: catch him and I got him. But you know, just
- 2:07:48Speaker 1: the fact that he stepped out there, let me know, okay,
- 2:07:51Speaker 1: you know, he manning up. You know what I'm saying,
- 2:07:53Speaker 1: He's manning up. Do you How do your kids feel
- 2:07:56Speaker 1: about your public persona? They really don't say nothing to
- 2:08:01Speaker 1: me about it, cause you know, me, my kids growing
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: up around me, I never heard who I was. They don't. Yeah,
- 2:08:10Speaker 1: they you know, they'll come tell me certain things, and
- 2:08:14Speaker 1: sometimes they'll know when I did something because they because
- 2:08:17Speaker 1: it's on the internet, their phone goes crazy. People, you know,
- 2:08:20Speaker 1: I mean, people want to answer this, but you know,
- 2:08:22Speaker 1: they don't really say too and they don't really pay
- 2:08:24Speaker 1: no attention because they watched me. People be thinking I'm
- 2:08:27Speaker 1: sering half the time when I'm doing it, I'm laughing.
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: They knowing I'm doing something because I'm laughing while I'm
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: doing it. And then the world just takes it very,
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: very serious, which answers my question to where the perception
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: of the industry. Right, people don't know what's real and
- 2:08:44Speaker 1: what's fate that's real. That's crazy because like you had
- 2:08:49Speaker 1: said earlier, like six or nine, kind of his mission
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: is to expose quote unquote the streets, right that's his
- 2:08:56Speaker 1: mission and what shouldn't be because if you know that
- 2:09:00Speaker 1: they not coming for you and you ain't got the
- 2:09:01Speaker 1: people with you, you should just take that as an
- 2:09:03Speaker 1: opportunity to just live your life. Well, I was gonna say, like,
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: how much of what he's saying is true is in
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: terms of the quote unquote streets kind of and the industry,
- 2:09:17Speaker 1: Like you said, right that the perception is that they're
- 2:09:19Speaker 1: both the same when they're not. Right. No, it definitely
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: not so. Isn't what he's trying to do kind of
- 2:09:26Speaker 1: exposing what you're saying is the biggest misconception is definitely
- 2:09:29Speaker 1: it's not just listen, man, I don't advise any of
- 2:09:36Speaker 1: the youth to get a life to the streets. The
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: first chance and first opportunity you have to get out
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: of the streets to get out of together. Whether it's
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: going to college, whether it's a foreign exchange program in
- 2:09:50Speaker 1: another country, whether you go to the military or the
- 2:09:53Speaker 1: police academy, I'm telling you take that route, take that lane.
- 2:09:58Speaker 1: I need more of our youth that's crips and blood
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: orientated uncles, brothers that got eight nine generations of this
- 2:10:06Speaker 1: shit to go to the police academy, and we still
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: complaining about how they doing us when they pull us over.
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: I want somebody to pull me over that understands where
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: I come from. That's not nervous, and that's not nervous
- 2:10:18Speaker 1: and jittery and got their lunch money took. You know,
- 2:10:21Speaker 1: the only way we're gonna turn it around is to
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: put some of us in there. I think that you
- 2:10:26Speaker 1: can't take the house without getting in the house. How
- 2:10:29Speaker 1: change it if you're not that's what we gotta do.
- 2:10:31Speaker 1: I don't. I haven't. I haven't made the decision of
- 2:10:35Speaker 1: being part of the decision making and over twenty five
- 2:10:38Speaker 1: years of somebody getting put on my neighborhood and then
- 2:10:43Speaker 1: my homework kids just gang bang that I run across.
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: I don't even allow them to call me big homie
- 2:10:49Speaker 1: because I don't want to have no gang association of
- 2:10:52Speaker 1: tides with you like that, because that ain't what I
- 2:10:55Speaker 1: want for you. If if you had it, if I
- 2:10:59Speaker 1: had it our way, it wouldn't be nobody else initiated
- 2:11:04Speaker 1: from this day forward, and hopefully ten, fifteen, twenty years
- 2:11:08Speaker 1: from now, it'll all phase out and we just be
- 2:11:11Speaker 1: one as a people. Yeah, man, I just don't like
- 2:11:14Speaker 1: you because I don't like you, not because of what
- 2:11:16Speaker 1: somebody did ten years ago. That's from the same place
- 2:11:19Speaker 1: for from. I mean, that's really what Paige, I'm mom,
- 2:11:21Speaker 1: if you really want to know. Yeah, man, I think
- 2:11:24Speaker 1: that's I mean, that's that's hopefully that rubs off on
- 2:11:27Speaker 1: a lot of this generation. I'm not gonna denounce that
- 2:11:30Speaker 1: I'm a thug and I come from that gangster shit
- 2:11:33Speaker 1: and I come from it. I ain't gonna never denounce
- 2:11:35Speaker 1: that because I ain't ashamed, and I think that's what
- 2:11:37Speaker 1: made me who I am today to be able to
- 2:11:39Speaker 1: have these type of conversations that had the top of
- 2:11:42Speaker 1: influence that I have on some of these youngsters. I
- 2:11:44Speaker 1: don't denounce it, but I'm not gonna be one to
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: sit here and be a hypocrite and say that's the
- 2:11:48Speaker 1: way to go because some of us didn't make it out. Yeah,
- 2:11:52Speaker 1: that's real, man, that's real. I think keeping it one
- 2:11:57Speaker 1: hundred on a one hundred episode on one hundred episod So, So,
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: what is the latest with Blue Face fighting six ' nine?
- 2:12:03Speaker 1: Is it? For sure? They both agreed to it. It's
- 2:12:07Speaker 1: probably gonna be something that happens in the Middle East.
- 2:12:09Speaker 1: It just get the funds up because Triller for that
- 2:12:12Speaker 1: to happen. N You know, it's a lot of my
- 2:12:15Speaker 1: investors in Saudi and Bahrain and Qatar that's coming to
- 2:12:19Speaker 1: the table with it, because you know, that's gonna be
- 2:12:21Speaker 1: a big, big bag, real real big bag. Blue Face
- 2:12:24Speaker 1: is probably gonna mop him up for sure. I mean, listen,
- 2:12:27Speaker 1: I got all faith that Blue Face is gonna win
- 2:12:30Speaker 1: the fight. I saw blue Face can like has his hands,
- 2:12:32Speaker 1: his face, can fight, he can fighting, can box, and
- 2:12:35Speaker 1: he left learned, you know, a valuable lesson when it
- 2:12:38Speaker 1: comes to training all little inside jokes up and I
- 2:12:41Speaker 1: know that he won't do a violate again. You know what,
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: I would you ever step in the ring as a
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: celebrity celebrity fight definitely on you know, if the bag
- 2:12:49Speaker 1: is right, you definitely get My money is on you.
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: I'm not gonna box, We're gonna lock up. It's gonna
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to get it out the way quick.
- 2:12:58Speaker 1: I've never been a box I've been a brawler, you
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: know what I mean. So that's what that is. You know,
- 2:13:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna call on Mike to train me. My partner,
- 2:13:05Speaker 1: Mike Tyson. You know what I'm saying, I definitely might
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: gonna be my trainer. What what is Mike Tyson like?
- 2:13:11Speaker 1: Uh yeah, real, real, don't know who he is? Mike
- 2:13:17Speaker 1: has no not to say. He don't know who he
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: is as a person. He doesn't understand who he is
- 2:13:21Speaker 1: to the world. Don't give a fuck about that all
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: that famous Mike Yo wagon. Let's go to the store.
- 2:13:26Speaker 1: He's getting the car with Mike Tyson. Yeah, walk to
- 2:13:29Speaker 1: the to the store. You know, I'm cool as hell,
- 2:13:32Speaker 1: laid back down the earth and he's gonna speak his mind.
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: Has he convinced you to try any psychedelics? Whack? Because
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: you know he's a psychedelical You know, I don't he
- 2:13:42Speaker 1: know everybody, I don't do nothing, So no, I know
- 2:13:44Speaker 1: you don't do nothing, But psychedelics are different with that.
- 2:13:47Speaker 1: I know nobody wants to see me do anything. I
- 2:13:50Speaker 1: think I don't want to see you. What is mushrooms? Oh?
- 2:13:57Speaker 1: Hell no, I think you could cut that's out. You
- 2:14:03Speaker 1: wouldn't You wouldn't do a shroom trip with Mike tysaid? No,
- 2:14:06Speaker 1: I'm not doing man, what I think I'll die? No,
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: you won't die. Yeah. Reborn kids do not listen to
- 2:14:13Speaker 1: this type of conversation. This is pure you know what.
- 2:14:16Speaker 1: And I want to touch on this too, man like,
- 2:14:18Speaker 1: because we got a situation going on in our streets
- 2:14:23Speaker 1: with the drugs. Man. Rest in peace to Michael K. Williams,
- 2:14:27Speaker 1: A good dude, man good. I was just I just
- 2:14:30Speaker 1: got through watching Chalky white Boardwalk Empire, one of his
- 2:14:34Speaker 1: best characters. But the kids, y'all need to understand. I
- 2:14:38Speaker 1: don't know if y'all know what Russian roulette is. Russian
- 2:14:40Speaker 1: roulette when they take a revolver, they put one bullet
- 2:14:43Speaker 1: in there and they spend the chamber and they clicked
- 2:14:45Speaker 1: the gun, and if that bullet lies in the wrong spot,
- 2:14:50Speaker 1: you're dead. Right, these days, these people that are manufacturing
- 2:14:55Speaker 1: these drugs are lacing these drugs with this fat and right.
- 2:15:01Speaker 1: And the people that you are buying these drugs from,
- 2:15:04Speaker 1: they don't know if they laced it not. And they
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: tell you I got the pure ship, but they don't
- 2:15:09Speaker 1: know playing Russian roulette with your life taking these pills
- 2:15:15Speaker 1: to I strongly advise you guys to stop. You take it,
- 2:15:21Speaker 1: you go to sleep, you don't wake up period period, right,
- 2:15:27Speaker 1: And I really strongly advise you guys to look it
- 2:15:31Speaker 1: to yourself to ask yourself, is this drug, this pill
- 2:15:34Speaker 1: whatever it may be worth the risk of you possibly
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: not waking up. I think if you look at the
- 2:15:41Speaker 1: legends we've lost in the last three or four years,
- 2:15:45Speaker 1: I mean, there was a comedian that passed away. There
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: was like and I gotta correct myself because I was
- 2:15:50Speaker 1: real ignorant to what this this fatanoh was And I
- 2:15:54Speaker 1: think I could be wrong. I think this might be
- 2:15:57Speaker 1: what killed mac miller. It right, and when mac millan died,
- 2:16:01Speaker 1: I made a statement like, yo, that's on him that
- 2:16:03Speaker 1: being know what he was doing taking all these drugs
- 2:16:06Speaker 1: he overdosed. I was done the impression that dude was
- 2:16:08Speaker 1: just abusing, just doing a bunch. Now I think he
- 2:16:11Speaker 1: took the wrong ship, the wrong fucking drugs. So you know,
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: I want to you know, my apologies, man, you know
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: what I mean, because I really I was really ignorant
- 2:16:21Speaker 1: to what that nod was. I didn't know, you know,
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: like that's that's not some household ship in the street.
- 2:16:26Speaker 1: Did you see the video of the cop who took
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: a whiff of it on a stop and they almost
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: died on the side of the street. He was in
- 2:16:33Speaker 1: San Diego. This is serious, bro. That's why I tell
- 2:16:35Speaker 1: my kids, you don't accept the talent all. It's the
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: cheapest ship, right and stretches it like stretches. Imagine if
- 2:16:43Speaker 1: you have a Q coke and you're a drug dealer
- 2:16:44Speaker 1: on the times five, you can stretch your times five
- 2:16:47Speaker 1: and crazy shit. But the problem is when you kill
- 2:16:50Speaker 1: how many people are gonna I'm not gonna lie, man,
- 2:16:52Speaker 1: listen to our rappers out here that's influencing the kids.
- 2:16:57Speaker 1: A lot of it gonna start with y'all, man, because
- 2:17:00Speaker 1: y'all are glorifying it. And I know y'all not glorifying
- 2:17:03Speaker 1: using drugs that have fetanol, but the fact that this
- 2:17:06Speaker 1: is how they sneak it in on us, you know
- 2:17:08Speaker 1: what I mean. You know, maybe y'all need to be
- 2:17:11Speaker 1: a little more educational about it. I can't tell y'all
- 2:17:14Speaker 1: what to do, what to say, how to live y'all life.
- 2:17:16Speaker 1: But we all got little brothers, you know what I mean,
- 2:17:18Speaker 1: We all got family, you know what I mean? Where
- 2:17:21Speaker 1: maybe we may want to educate them to where. Yeah,
- 2:17:24Speaker 1: I take zanni of this that I you know, this
- 2:17:28Speaker 1: ship is getting bad. You may want to eliminate, you
- 2:17:31Speaker 1: know what I mean? Doing this because of what's going
- 2:17:34Speaker 1: on with it, you know what I mean, you know,
- 2:17:36Speaker 1: just you know, just my reach to all you rappers
- 2:17:39Speaker 1: that yeah, I just saw, uh you know, I was
- 2:17:42Speaker 1: I was watching an episode of Joe Rogan, Uh that
- 2:17:44Speaker 1: just came out, and he was talking about Michael K.
- 2:17:47Speaker 1: Williams who died. And obviously there was some comedians in
- 2:17:49Speaker 1: a house in Venice where I'm still a little up
- 2:17:51Speaker 1: in there because I'm here in cocaine. I'm hearing hair Ron.
- 2:17:55Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm hearing this cocaine right as far
- 2:17:58Speaker 1: as like the day before the comedians, the comedians in
- 2:18:02Speaker 1: Venice ship right doing. I mean, look, at the end
- 2:18:04Speaker 1: of the day, I've never done cocaine. I'm the only
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: drugs I've ever done. But you know how it is,
- 2:18:11Speaker 1: you've been in a situation where everyone's passing around to
- 2:18:13Speaker 1: play the coke. I've witnessed that. I've never participated in it.
- 2:18:16Speaker 1: But ship lakes with everybody who hits it is on
- 2:18:21Speaker 1: the ground, it's gone. But Joe Rogan was saying, like
- 2:18:24Speaker 1: the what what probably is the like uneasy truth that
- 2:18:28Speaker 1: people aren't gonna want to like admit to as far
- 2:18:30Speaker 1: as politicians is like you gotta legalize all drugs so
- 2:18:34Speaker 1: the product at least is controlled because people are gonna
- 2:18:37Speaker 1: do drugs either way, right Fededanols. Hey, look, they catch
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: you with that ship, they give me you they putting
- 2:18:43Speaker 1: you in under the fucking prison. Catch you with that
- 2:18:45Speaker 1: fal That ship is like what PCP was on steroids.
- 2:18:48Speaker 1: They catch it with that, you out of here? Yeah, man,
- 2:18:51Speaker 1: And and it's crazy because there's no way to there's
- 2:18:54Speaker 1: no quality control in the drugs, in drugs anymore. What's
- 2:18:59Speaker 1: the quality control? I don't know because even that's what
- 2:19:02Speaker 1: I'm saying. All I know is it ship. It ain't
- 2:19:05Speaker 1: for us, it ain't for my people, nobody's people, it
- 2:19:08Speaker 1: ain't for our youth, man. And we really need to
- 2:19:10Speaker 1: start educating these kids on what ftanol is and what
- 2:19:14Speaker 1: it would do to you if they happened to be it,
- 2:19:18Speaker 1: because I don't think they know. I didn't know at
- 2:19:20Speaker 1: one point in time. Right. Yeah, it is Russian. It's
- 2:19:24Speaker 1: literally Russian Russian. Let bro, if you get it, it's over.
- 2:19:28Speaker 1: So yeah, it's crazy, man. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:19:32Speaker 1: So we definitely to do that. Are here you back
- 2:19:34Speaker 1: at radio? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you're talking about we launched,
- 2:19:37Speaker 1: you know, it launched the syndicated show back back in
- 2:19:39Speaker 1: real ninety two three. It's been a real ninety two
- 2:19:41Speaker 1: three doing this thing, you know, seeing the podcast, bro,
- 2:19:44Speaker 1: I gotta let go and then back on the station
- 2:19:46Speaker 1: said seven months where they do that at Oh did
- 2:19:48Speaker 1: you let get let go what you ventured off to do? Right?
- 2:19:53Speaker 1: You went back to radio with that what you was doing,
- 2:19:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean? So now it ain't like
- 2:19:58Speaker 1: you had to shut this down. This is part of that.
- 2:20:00Speaker 1: The way I looked at what happened with me was
- 2:20:04Speaker 1: I had already had the thought in my mind to
- 2:20:07Speaker 1: leave terrestrial radio and launch my own syndicated show, because
- 2:20:11Speaker 1: I see that that's where the business is heading. Right.
- 2:20:14Speaker 1: So when everything happened, you know, for people who don't know,
- 2:20:16Speaker 1: I got to let go in December for budget cuts, right,
- 2:20:19Speaker 1: I heeart laid off like two thousand people or something. Actually,
- 2:20:22Speaker 1: so I got let laid off, but I didn't. I
- 2:20:24Speaker 1: wasn't emotional about it. I was like, hey, thank you
- 2:20:27Speaker 1: Doc for the look. Thank you. Ao kept my relation.
- 2:20:29Speaker 1: I'm like, look, I told he Ao, I said, look,
- 2:20:31Speaker 1: you know I'm launching this radio show, and you know,
- 2:20:34Speaker 1: I got put on in Vegas at first at AO
- 2:20:36Speaker 1: station in Vegas and then you know, just put my
- 2:20:39Speaker 1: head down and got to it, and an opportunity presented itself.
- 2:20:42Speaker 1: You've always been a real one, you know, and it
- 2:20:45Speaker 1: got my attention being a real one. So you know
- 2:20:47Speaker 1: it ain't gonna stop you bro, Like I'm gonna be
- 2:20:49Speaker 1: really you know your best is yet to come. Yeah, man,
- 2:20:52Speaker 1: I feel that. I mean, I value our relationship because
- 2:20:55Speaker 1: I know it's gonna come a day while I'm walking
- 2:20:57Speaker 1: in somewhere and it's going to the decision gonna be
- 2:21:00Speaker 1: up to Bootleg Care And I'm a value that I
- 2:21:02Speaker 1: got fifteen twenty twenty five years and with this man,
- 2:21:05Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it's like, you know,
- 2:21:07Speaker 1: that's how I build my relationships with people. So you know,
- 2:21:10Speaker 1: I see it in you. You understand this business. You're
- 2:21:13Speaker 1: taking your hits in this business. I was back for
- 2:21:16Speaker 1: this business and I know you still reaching in this business.
- 2:21:18Speaker 1: So you know the best for you you have to come. Man.
- 2:21:20Speaker 1: I say, yeah, I would just tell everyone, man, bet
- 2:21:22Speaker 1: on yourself, because literally that's all I did. I just
- 2:21:24Speaker 1: went all in on me. I said, I'm gona launch
- 2:21:26Speaker 1: a radio show and we launched with kkf R as
- 2:21:30Speaker 1: our first affiliate in Phoenix. And now you know we're
- 2:21:32Speaker 1: on seven stations, probably about to be like fifteen real soon.
- 2:21:36Speaker 1: Did my YouTube shit? Let y'all know, my little brother,
- 2:21:40Speaker 1: ray J, my business partner, is still working. He loves
- 2:21:42Speaker 1: to get back to the community. Ray J. Ray J's
- 2:21:46Speaker 1: election has this safe sex campaign going on. He got
