  people were really pinging and zeroing in on how fucked up and crazy Cody actually

  sounded when he was talking to Nathan about how angry he was and the dark

  and intrusive thoughts. I mean, he was fucking crazy. He was.

  I was actually concerned legit, worried about it. We mentioned it a little

  bit in the podcast, but I kind of wanted to talk about it a

  little more, and I wanted to start the conversation by getting into a recent

  Reddit post that was made by Agreeable Menu eight one three three, and it's

  entitled that truck Conversation was scary. It reads as follows between Cody and his

  brother in law. Cody keeps using violent rhetoric, breaking things violence, His

  voice is cracking, walking the line between crying and screaming. I think he's

  having violent thoughts about women and trying to control it. He admitted in the

  last episode that he got pulled into dangerous woman hating internet forums. He said

  quote that was a dark place end quote. He seems like he's saying,

  I would feel better if I could release some of this violent, angry energy.

  This is terrifying. Even if he never acts upon those urges. My

  husband would never say I have dark thoughts. I can't share with anyone.

  what do you think of that sort of generalized feedback from the community.

  I mean, that's a really good point. Like I kind of forgot about

  Instagram a picture of his eyes and how they've changed over the season. What

  do you attribute that too? And just for reference, in the in the

  early seasons, he's got blue eyes, yes, I yes, blonde hair

  didn't blue wide And in the later seasons he's got these dark brown eyes.

  Yeah, really fucking dark. And some people were theorizing like it's contacts or

  it's dilation from testosterone or steroid use. We kind of talked about that on

  the pod, and I don't know, I'm like kind of leaning towards a

  demon possessions. It's really fucking dark. They say that when somebody is demon

  possessed, they can change the color of their eyes. Also with meditation,

  something is legitimately going on with Cody Brown and TLC has never really cared about

  any of its cast of characters or taking care of the emotional health or the

  I would not be a bit surprised if he snapped. I wouldn't be either

  and did something absolutely inappropriate, maybe something like verbal abuse. But I'm like,

  I come from physical abuse. That's like a heat signature, right,

  That's like something that you can just feel if you've been in an abusive relationship.

  And there's just something about the way that he's talking that gives me those

  vibes, like the ichy, violent, weird vibes. Well, I mean,

  Robin has also kind of mentioned that she's had to deal with all of

  his anger and his issues, like and he's been directing it towards her,

  so I'm like, I hope that doesn't mean like actual physical abuse. I

  hope not as well. And really, the only wife that would bear the

  brunt of that if it was happening would be Robin, because he's not spending

  time with the other wives, and she does seem to be doing a lot

  to try and please him, with a dickensiean village that she buys because Cody

  likes Charles Dickens right, all of the other ways that she arranges their life
• 6:21
  in order to please him so that she's the dutiful and the loyal wife and
• 6:26
  therefore the preferred and the favorite wife. Now we think that that's because she's
• 6:30
  a machiavellian puppet master, but could it also be because maybe on some level
• 6:35
  she's a bit worried about his temper and what he's going to do, because
• 6:39
  he hinted it maybe even leaving her right. Yeah, he did kind of
• 6:42
  hinted that in this last episode, And I mean that would kind of make
• 6:46
  sense though, if she wasn't being this machiavellian puppet master, which we know
• 6:49
  she is at least with the wives, you know, but if she's acting
• 6:54
  kind of like a victim would in a physically abusive situation, like you do
• 6:58
  want to do everything you can to make sure that they're happy and that they
• 7:01
  don't get pissed off, you know, so big yikes. A couple of

  is increasingly aggressive and erratic. I believe some sort of substance abuse is involved.

  if Cody takes this to the next level. They have to intervene and get

  to murder his whole family. I would certainly hope not. And in my

  opinion, the way that he's talking, the way that he was trying to

  draw Nathan out to share your dark thoughts, right, the types of things

  that he's saying, I wouldn't be surprised if there's like something else going on

  in that household and it's really really sad. Now, recently, in a

  Patreon episode that mckelti and Tony did, she did say that he's better now,

  he's not as angry and he's in counseling. But here's a thing with

  counseling. It doesn't work on narcissists, right, it doesn't work on sociopaths.

  These people are typically so developed in their manipulation that they can con a

  therapist. Now, I don't know if Cody's that's smart. I don't think

  he is. I don't think so as well. For example, doctor Orna

  from Couples Therapy would be seeing right through gardisure. But I don't even know

  if counseling helps this kind of thing. Yikes. I mean, I would

  hope that if he's in counseling, maybe they're getting to some kind of route

  cause of all these issues. Maybe it's because he's got some repressed homosexuality.

  other kids on Christmas like Robin's kids. He came off is trying to defend

  Cody a bit, but people got super upset with him because many feel this

  hope that what McKelty says that he's better now, he's less angry, he's

  dealt with his shit, he's in counseling, Like, I hope that's true,

  and maybe he's making some kind of strides in counseling. I don't know.
