In Pacific County, Washington, a routine shellfish check turned wild when an officer spotted a woman hiding a live Dungeness crab in her jacket hood—then another couple showed up acting suspicious. After multiple “no crab” answers and odd body movements, the officer lifted hats and revealed crabs tucked into hoods, bodysuits, bras, and even pants. In total, 21 crabs were found—19 too small, one female—which is illegal. The group also had custom crab-hiding gear.
