- 0:03Speaker 1: Good morning, family, Good morning God, bless you. Welcome back
- 0:05Speaker 1: to the Morning Devo as you bro Sam Lopez aka
- 0:08Speaker 1: DJ Sam rock So Winners with a Z dot Org
- 0:11Speaker 1: the celebrated network, the Lehigh Valley's number one urban gospel
- 0:15Speaker 1: music station, Allline since two thousand and eight, and we're
- 0:18Speaker 1: back in the building with another Morning Devo. Praise God, right,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Glory to God. It's all because of His grace, is mercy,
- 0:24Speaker 1: his faithfulness to his word, Amen, that we could do
- 0:27Speaker 1: these things together. So listen, we're talking about prayer life
- 0:31Speaker 1: right right now, corporately around the world, around our nation.
- 0:36Speaker 1: There are believers, brothers and sisters all around the world
- 0:38Speaker 1: fasting and praying, praying and fasting Amen for around twenty
- 0:42Speaker 1: one days. Some are going longer than that, some have
- 0:45Speaker 1: started earlier than others. But we are corporately in prayer.
- 0:49Speaker 1: And I think that's why you see a lot of
- 0:52Speaker 1: havoc being reaped around the world, because the enemy hates
- 0:56Speaker 1: when the Body of Christ is unified on anything, so
- 1:00Speaker 1: he tries to distract, he tries to destroy, he tries
- 1:02Speaker 1: to kill, he tries to steal people's joy and all
- 1:06Speaker 1: that around this time of fashion. But guess who always
- 1:08Speaker 1: wins at the end of the day. Right, we win
- 1:12Speaker 1: because we are the Kingdom of God. So there's a
- 1:16Speaker 1: right way to pray, and there's the wrong way to pray.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So I'm gonna talk about the wrong prayer life, the
- 1:22Speaker 1: wrong prayer life. Amen. And you might be saying, oh,
- 1:26Speaker 1: that's not encouraging. For more than devo, You're gonna be
- 1:28Speaker 1: encouraged because now you're gonna know what's right, and now
- 1:31Speaker 1: you're gonna know what's wrong if you hadn't known already,
- 1:33Speaker 1: and you probably didn't even know there was such a
- 1:35Speaker 1: thing as a wrong prayer life, a wrong way to pray. Right.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Prayer is literally basically simply a conversation with God. Right,
- 1:46Speaker 1: So when we speak to the Lord, Amen, we're praying,
- 1:50Speaker 1: it's a conversation with God in the simplest definition, in
- 1:53Speaker 1: the simplest form. Amen. So we're not creating something new,
- 1:58Speaker 1: we're not trying to you know, we invent the wheel
- 2:03Speaker 1: when it comes to prayer. Amen, is simply a conversation
- 2:06Speaker 1: with God, and He values when we're honest and when
- 2:11Speaker 1: we're being authentic. Amen. When we're being honest and authentic,
- 2:16Speaker 1: God values that. Now that's the best way I think
- 2:20Speaker 1: I could pray, And I think that's the best way
- 2:22Speaker 1: I think you could pray when you're honest, when you're vulnerable,
- 2:25Speaker 1: when you're having a simple conversation with the Lord. Amen.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It could be something really really pressing in your heart,
- 2:33Speaker 1: or something really really like, like, Lord Jesus, what tea
- 2:37Speaker 1: should I make? This? Pointing? Amen? You might be like, well,
- 2:40Speaker 1: God's got to pay attention to you like that. Why
- 2:42Speaker 1: he's our father who loves us and he wants to
- 2:45Speaker 1: hear from us and conversation. Or it could be as
- 2:48Speaker 1: difficult as that, you know, my brother in law has cancer.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Can you rescue him? Can you save him them? Can
- 2:54Speaker 1: you heal him? It could be that important, or something
- 2:58Speaker 1: as simple as tea conversation with the Lord. Because for God,
- 3:02Speaker 1: everything's possible. For God, everything is possible. You ask him
- 3:06Speaker 1: something that's impossible to us, he's able, he's available. He
- 3:11Speaker 1: can do the impossible. He has done it. He's proved it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: He's done it time and time again in my life
- 3:17Speaker 1: and in your life. If you're watchful and you know
- 3:20Speaker 1: what I'm talking about now, the worst prayers are when
- 3:25Speaker 1: you are being dishonest, when you're flat out lying to God.
- 3:29Speaker 1: He already knows your heart, he knows your intention and
- 3:34Speaker 1: and or manipulative. You're trying to manipulate God's word. You're
- 3:39Speaker 1: trying to change his mind on something that's not gonna happen.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. You're trying to command God that's not
- 3:47Speaker 1: gonna happen. Ladies and gentlemen. He allows what he allows
- 3:51Speaker 1: to according to his word. He will allow you the
- 3:54Speaker 1: commandments of God. Are Are there a man to prove
- 3:59Speaker 1: for us? Prove that we love him? Not the other
- 4:01Speaker 1: way around. Amen. So don't be dishonest with God. Heread,
- 4:06Speaker 1: he knows your heart, he knows your momus if he
- 4:08Speaker 1: knows your intentions. Now, I've been guilty of dishonest prayers.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I know a lot of evangelists want to admit that
- 4:14Speaker 1: I've been guilty of that. You know, been in prayer
- 4:17Speaker 1: circles angry at something or someone and brought up prayers
- 4:21Speaker 1: out of anger. And that's not cool. It was not effective,
- 4:24Speaker 1: it's not pleasing to the Lord. Amen. And I had
- 4:26Speaker 1: to repent for those things, right, for those type of prayers.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Those are the worst prayers. So we're talking about wrong
- 4:33Speaker 1: prayer life to Day in the Morning Devo. We're gonna
- 4:35Speaker 1: be in James, chapter number four, verse number three James
- 4:38Speaker 1: four and three to Day in the Morning Devo. If
- 4:41Speaker 1: you have any questions, comments, concerns, or any prayer requests,
- 4:44Speaker 1: please don't hesitate to leave it on a live chat
- 4:46Speaker 1: from whatever platform you're watching or listening from. Amen. That
- 4:50Speaker 1: should be a way to connect with me and connect
- 4:52Speaker 1: with us on the Morning DeVos. Amen. Also, if you're
- 4:57Speaker 1: at live that so win is with a Z. That
- 4:59Speaker 1: org welcome back and see the numbers is encouraging. People
- 5:02Speaker 1: are hanging out over there, real quiet over there. Don't
- 5:05Speaker 1: be afraid to leave a comment in the chat room
- 5:07Speaker 1: over there as well. And there's an interactive Bible right
- 5:11Speaker 1: there on that website that you could use and follow along.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'll be reading out of the amplified version, and men,
- 5:17Speaker 1: most of the time I read out of the amplified version.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So when we go to the chapter and verse, Amen,
- 5:23Speaker 1: go and head over onto the amplified version if you
- 5:26Speaker 1: want to read a word for word the way we're
- 5:28Speaker 1: reading it here on the Morning Devo. And we're gonna
- 5:30Speaker 1: pray first. After we pray, we'll share us out for
- 5:32Speaker 1: like sixty seconds, and then when we come back on
- 5:34Speaker 1: the other side of those sixty seconds, we'll get right
- 5:36Speaker 1: into today's morning Devo. Wrong Prayer life Today on the
- 5:41Speaker 1: morning Devo, Lord Jesus, I thank you, Lord Guy, that
- 5:44Speaker 1: you are a teacher. You are our teacher, and you
- 5:47Speaker 1: teach us how to pray sincerely with our heart and
- 5:50Speaker 1: be honest, even though it might be scary, little guys
- 5:53Speaker 1: sometimes for myself to come to you clean. I already
- 5:56Speaker 1: know that it doesn't pay to be dishonest with you,
- 6:00Speaker 1: doesn't pay to try to manipulate. What does pay is
- 6:04Speaker 1: an honest, simple conversation with you. Father. Thank you, Lord
- 6:08Speaker 1: God for listening to all our prayers and hearing us
- 6:11Speaker 1: regardless if we're doing it right or wrong. That you
- 6:14Speaker 1: have patience with us, That you know our hearts, you
- 6:17Speaker 1: know our minds, you know what we're going through, you
- 6:19Speaker 1: know our troubles, you know our pains, you know all weaknesses,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and above all that you still love us and you
- 6:25Speaker 1: draw us closer to you by way of your Holy Spirit.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I pray, Lo God, that you are able to teach
- 6:30Speaker 1: us and move us into a position of our right
- 6:34Speaker 1: prayer life. As we speak about the wrong prayer life.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Thank you, Lord God for inspiring me to continue to
- 6:40Speaker 1: move forward, continue to get up in these mornings and
- 6:43Speaker 1: really apply this word for everyone who's willing to listen.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Everyone whosoever who calls upon your name. You said, Lord God,
- 6:52Speaker 1: in your word, that they will be saved. I pray
- 6:54Speaker 1: salvation over my family, my whole family, from the very
- 6:58Speaker 1: youngest family members to the very oldest and everyone in between,
- 7:01Speaker 1: those who are not born again. Father God, I pray
- 7:03Speaker 1: as you will move their hearts right now, and I
- 7:05Speaker 1: pray the same prayer over every single person that's connecting
- 7:08Speaker 1: now who will connect later. Mamen, who will listen now
- 7:11Speaker 1: or watch later, or how the case may be, that
- 7:14Speaker 1: you would do the same for them and their family
- 7:16Speaker 1: as well as we guide, guard and protect Lord God
- 7:20Speaker 1: our word that's in our hearts, and we work out
- 7:22Speaker 1: our own salvation with fear and trembling. Thank you for
- 7:25Speaker 1: your protection. Thank you for protecting us through the night,
- 7:28Speaker 1: through the day, and thank you for Lord God for
- 7:30Speaker 1: signing the Angel of the Lord to our lives. For
- 7:34Speaker 1: all those who are lovers of God Almighty, that we
- 7:38Speaker 1: love you, Lord God. So I pray it's by faith
- 7:40Speaker 1: knowing that You're able to answer these prayers according to
- 7:44Speaker 1: your will and purpose for every single individual life and
- 7:47Speaker 1: Jesus name. I pray it is by faith and all
- 7:49Speaker 1: those who agree we say Amen to the Amen Jesus
- 7:52Speaker 1: the Lord. So let's go for it. Help me share
- 7:54Speaker 1: this out sixty seconds. When we come back, we'll get
- 7:56Speaker 1: right into it today wrong prayer life. I'll be right.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Backt heymen, Amen, we're back.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Thank you so much for your patience and hanging out
- 9:37Speaker 1: with us this morning on the morning Devo. Amen, I
- 9:40Speaker 1: just want to read out the comment that I put
- 9:42Speaker 1: up during a little break by my wife put up. Amen.
- 9:45Speaker 1: It's interesting my wife says she sends blessings to everyone.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And also one thing that I've learned is that prayer
- 9:53Speaker 1: doesn't move the hand of God. Fast thing does. Prayer
- 9:59Speaker 1: changes your heart towards what and who you're praying for. Amen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: There's no way you could pray for somebody and hold
- 10:06Speaker 1: thanks or anger against them at the same time. It
- 10:09Speaker 1: could be before the prayer, you probably could be angry
- 10:12Speaker 1: or I have inks or something against someone, but not
- 10:14Speaker 1: during the prayer. After the prayer, maybe if you go
- 10:17Speaker 1: back to that mode, you can thank you baby for
- 10:20Speaker 1: sharing that comment. It's true fast thing changes us. Amen.
- 10:26Speaker 1: We can't change God, but fasting changes us and our
- 10:29Speaker 1: prayer life grows through that. Amen. Good morning, says is Joanne.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo.
- 10:36Speaker 1: My sister and my friends. Sister Joys, Good morning, God
- 10:38Speaker 1: bless you. It's good to see you here on the
- 10:40Speaker 1: Morning Devo. My sister, my friend. Amen. Sister Joys knows
- 10:44Speaker 1: a lot about prayer. She's a prayer warrior. God uses
- 10:47Speaker 1: her in incredible ways because of her prayer life. And Amen.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So I'm honored to have you, especially speaking about this
- 10:57Speaker 1: topic about wrong prayer life. Although I believe you have
- 11:01Speaker 1: the right prayer life, but there's people that might be
- 11:06Speaker 1: in a way of prayer that they don't understand that
- 11:09Speaker 1: they're doing it the wrong way. If you're being dishonest
- 11:12Speaker 1: or if you're trying to manipulate people or trying to
- 11:15Speaker 1: manipulate by using the word of God, that's the wrong
- 11:18Speaker 1: type of prayer life. A man, Let's fix that today.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Let's get that straight, Let's get that right. Amen. So
- 11:23Speaker 1: let's go for a wrong prayer life today in the
- 11:25Speaker 1: morning Devo. Amen. For those who are just listening, no worries.
- 11:29Speaker 1: We're reading out of the amplified version in the Book
- 11:32Speaker 1: of James Amen James, Chapter number four, verse number three,
- 11:36Speaker 1: The Bible says, you ask God for something and do
- 11:41Speaker 1: not receive it. You ever wonder God prayed for this
- 11:45Speaker 1: and that and the third why didn't it happen? Well,
- 11:48Speaker 1: sometimes we're praying things that are against God's will for
- 11:53Speaker 1: our lives, and that's why it doesn't happen. Remember, God
- 11:55Speaker 1: is a loving father. He's not going to give us
- 11:57Speaker 1: everything we want. He's going to give us everything that
- 12:00Speaker 1: we need. He's Jehovah Jabra, the God who sees our
- 12:04Speaker 1: needs and provides for every single one of them. So
- 12:07Speaker 1: James is saying in chapter four, verse three, you ask
- 12:10Speaker 1: God for something and do not receive it. Why? Because
- 12:14Speaker 1: you act with wrong motives. That's the wrong prayer life.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's the worst type of prayer when you asks with
- 12:21Speaker 1: wrong motives out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda. Yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 1: out of an unrighteous agenda, so that when you get
- 12:31Speaker 1: what you want, you may spend it on your heatedonistic desires. Wow,
- 12:40Speaker 1: are you serious, James? Are you really telling it like that? Yep,
- 12:44Speaker 1: some people are praying. I've seen it. I've been in
- 12:46Speaker 1: prayer circles, and I've unfortunately I fell into that trap
- 12:49Speaker 1: a couple of times myself in my journey so far.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And then pretty much early on in my walk, I
- 12:56Speaker 1: would be mad at something or someone and I would
- 12:58Speaker 1: bring up a prayer for that on something a man
- 13:01Speaker 1: in a way that my heart wasn't right, and I
- 13:04Speaker 1: will ask people to help me pray for this situation
- 13:07Speaker 1: for that situation which wasn't right. It was out of selfishness,
- 13:11Speaker 1: it was out of an unrighteous agenda. Amen. So you
- 13:15Speaker 1: have to repent from those things I've did. I repent
- 13:17Speaker 1: them from those type of prayers. Amen. And then it
- 13:20Speaker 1: didn't match with what God wanted to do in my
- 13:22Speaker 1: life or with what God wanted to do in the
- 13:25Speaker 1: other's life that we were praying about or praying for.
- 13:29Speaker 1: So be mindful that God, he is our prayers right,
- 13:32Speaker 1: and he knows our hearts, and he knows your intentions
- 13:37Speaker 1: and my intentions. Amen. So, in other words, we can't
- 13:40Speaker 1: fool God. We can't manipulate him, we can't force his hand,
- 13:45Speaker 1: we can't command God to do this that, and the
- 13:47Speaker 1: third what we can do is trust and believe and
- 13:50Speaker 1: have faith that God is going to move according to
- 13:53Speaker 1: his perfect plan and perfect will for the lives of
- 13:57Speaker 1: those we're praying for, whether we're praying for our own
- 14:00Speaker 1: self or for others. I would think in my prayer life,
- 14:04Speaker 1: I pray for others like ninety percent of the time. Amen.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I need prayer every day over my own life. But
- 14:12Speaker 1: for some reason, I guess I want others to be
- 14:15Speaker 1: blessed too. I want others to receive their blessing. I
- 14:19Speaker 1: want everybody to receive the promises of God that God
- 14:22Speaker 1: promised them. Amen. So my prayer life is built upon
- 14:25Speaker 1: not what I want. It's built upon by what other
- 14:28Speaker 1: people can get through just serving and following the Lord Jesus.
- 14:33Speaker 1: My wife says, when it comes to prayer, I'm always
- 14:36Speaker 1: reminded of when we were youth leaders. You always taught
- 14:40Speaker 1: the youth to pray for those that they had issues with,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and their hearts were not only changed, but their hearts
- 14:46Speaker 1: were softened and they let go of whatever they were
- 14:50Speaker 1: angry about. Amazing. Yes, that's early on, man. I noticed
- 14:55Speaker 1: that that you look at the prayers of in the scriptures, Amen,
- 14:59Speaker 1: it was mostly for others. And when a prophet would
- 15:03Speaker 1: come up. It wasn't like the prophecies of today. When
- 15:07Speaker 1: a prophet would come. A prophet would come with a
- 15:09Speaker 1: warning from God, warning the people to repent, warning people
- 15:13Speaker 1: to turn back to God, warning people, and there will
- 15:15Speaker 1: be a time of prayer and fascinating. Amen. Nowadays, I'm
- 15:21Speaker 1: not saying these prophets that prophesie now are false prophets.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But nowadays it's more like coming to your church or
- 15:30Speaker 1: to your community and saying God is gonna bless He's
- 15:32Speaker 1: going to do great things, and he is God's going
- 15:35Speaker 1: to do great things. But it's very rarely a warning anymore, Amen,
- 15:40Speaker 1: that I've seen, at least in my region, my part
- 15:44Speaker 1: of town, my region, Amen, very rare when a prophet
- 15:48Speaker 1: comes to town. Now, evangelists will come to your town, Amen,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and tell it like it is because they know they
- 15:53Speaker 1: could leave. Amen. And you know they cause us some
- 15:58Speaker 1: rockets sometimes, but in a good way, in a golly way.
- 16:01Speaker 1: They use the word of God. I believe most of
- 16:03Speaker 1: the times correctly. And I guess the evangelist is the
- 16:07Speaker 1: morning day prophet, you could say. Amen, So I'm mindful
- 16:12Speaker 1: of all of that. Thank you, Babe for your comment
- 16:15Speaker 1: and yet when we pray, it changes us, It changes
- 16:18Speaker 1: our hearts towards others that we might be mad at
- 16:21Speaker 1: or whatever. I do it often, amen, because I know
- 16:26Speaker 1: that if I respond before I pray, my flesh could
- 16:30Speaker 1: get in the way. Oh wow, that ribs. If I
- 16:32Speaker 1: respond before I pray, my flesh could get in the way.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Oh wow. All right, so that's what we're talking about.
- 16:38Speaker 1: We want. We don't want a wrong prayer life. We
- 16:40Speaker 1: want a right prayer life. We don't oh men, I
- 16:45Speaker 1: left my notes. We don't want to Oh man, my
- 16:48Speaker 1: notes disappeared. Okay, we don't want to waste our time
- 16:56Speaker 1: pray right, but we want to be on point and
- 17:00Speaker 1: I prayer. Let me try to get my notes again.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I literally erased it. Yay, oops, second one of those
- 17:18Speaker 1: morning bluebird things. Get it back. So yeah, I know
- 17:27Speaker 1: it's disappeared. So the worst prayer I think you could pray, Amen,
- 17:33Speaker 1: anybody could praise when you come to the Lord dishonestly.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You don't want to do that. I don't want to
- 17:38Speaker 1: do that. You don't want no parts of that. I
- 17:40Speaker 1: don't want no parts of that. We want to come
- 17:42Speaker 1: to the Lord artist with a clean with an open heart,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and sometimes we go to cop our heart is not
- 17:48Speaker 1: as clean as it should be. But pray anyway. Don't
- 17:51Speaker 1: be afraid to pray to the Lord Amen, regardless of
- 17:54Speaker 1: what you're going through where you're at, because He's going
- 17:56Speaker 1: to hear your prayer and help you through. Brother, Ain't
- 18:00Speaker 1: God bless you and everybody in the morning Devo. He
- 18:02Speaker 1: sends blessing to everyone here. God bless you, my brother
- 18:05Speaker 1: and my friend. So believers, we're forgiven once right for
- 18:14Speaker 1: all our sins, once and for all through Christ's sacrifice.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Hevele sense in right. So we know that when we pray,
- 18:22Speaker 1: we don't come with prayers of shame. We come with
- 18:25Speaker 1: prayers that even though we might be going through something rough,
- 18:29Speaker 1: we might be in the rough spot, We're not gonna
- 18:31Speaker 1: pray with wrong motives. We're not gonna pray with dishonest lips.
- 18:34Speaker 1: We're not gonna play pray with unrighteousness. We might be
- 18:38Speaker 1: dishonest at the time. We might be going through on
- 18:40Speaker 1: righteousness or wickedness or whatever, but pray anyway. Do you
- 18:44Speaker 1: understand that when you're born again your clans from all
- 18:48Speaker 1: wickedness and all on righteousness, you can do exactly what
- 18:51Speaker 1: the Word of God says you can do by the
- 18:53Speaker 1: power that God gives us by way of His Holy
- 18:55Speaker 1: Spirit for whatever reason. People like you're in prayer circles sometimes,
- 19:01Speaker 1: and some people who say they're Christians when they say,
- 19:04Speaker 1: who wants to pray for whatever reason? In my region, Amen,
- 19:08Speaker 1: For my experience, what I'm seeing, very few people want
- 19:11Speaker 1: to raise their hands and pray. As a matter of fact,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I've even heard Christians proclaiming that they're Christians say I
- 19:18Speaker 1: don't know how to pray or I'm afraid to pray.
- 19:21Speaker 1: That's a little bit shocking and a little bit concerning
- 19:26Speaker 1: a lot concerning. If you don't not a prayer, that
- 19:29Speaker 1: means you don't speak to the Father. You. Prayer is simple?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Are simple? I said it earlier. You're simply speaking to
- 19:36Speaker 1: the Father, Amen, asking him or be asking for something
- 19:41Speaker 1: you need him. You're adoring him, you're believing in him. Amen.
- 19:46Speaker 1: So when you're in a prayer circle, don't be afraid
- 19:49Speaker 1: to pray. You don't have to have extravagant words. You
- 19:51Speaker 1: don't have to quote ten to fifteen scriptures. Amen. Is
- 19:54Speaker 1: a simple conversation between you and God, and you're allowing
- 19:57Speaker 1: others to hear. That's how I think of it. Man,
- 20:00Speaker 1: it's not that complicated. Now, if you're a religious person,
- 20:03Speaker 1: you're not gonna pray unless you have all your ducks
- 20:05Speaker 1: in a row. You're gonna want to, you know, have
- 20:08Speaker 1: theology right. You gotta have correct scriptures to match, and
- 20:13Speaker 1: you to have flowery words. You can do that if
- 20:15Speaker 1: that's the way you are, do it. But if that's
- 20:17Speaker 1: not the way you are, don't be afraid to pray
- 20:19Speaker 1: in any prayer circle. And man, lift up the name
- 20:21Speaker 1: of Jesus and he would draw people to himself. We
- 20:24Speaker 1: should not only want what is right prayer life. We
- 20:27Speaker 1: should want a right prayer life before God, not just man. Amen. Amen.
- 20:32Speaker 1: So I've heard prayers from people that are like wow, man,
- 20:36Speaker 1: that's that's amazing, and then their lifestyle doesn't match up
- 20:41Speaker 1: with what they're praying. I believe that's why there's wrong
- 20:45Speaker 1: prayer life. I believe that's why James mentioned about righteous
- 20:49Speaker 1: and manipulative ways and dishonest ways. I believe James seen
- 20:54Speaker 1: in his own time and we're seeing it in our
- 20:56Speaker 1: time too. But we don't want to be those people. Amen.
- 21:00Speaker 1: It could happen to anyone if we're not focused on
- 21:03Speaker 1: the reason of why prayer exists in the first place.
- 21:07Speaker 1: If we're not speaking to God we're honesty, that would
- 21:09Speaker 1: be dishonest. Amen, I really want to get to my notes.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Let me try this again. But God is faithful to
- 21:17Speaker 1: his word. He does everything right. That's the beautiful thing
- 21:20Speaker 1: about God. He does everything right, and he knows where
- 21:23Speaker 1: not always right. Yet he's so faithful, and he's so
- 21:29Speaker 1: gentle with us. Amen, He's so patient with us. That
- 21:32Speaker 1: was in my notes too, and it looks like I
- 21:43Speaker 1: get it again. So he's patient with us. Can you
- 21:46Speaker 1: imagine going to God's throwing room with grace and then
- 21:49Speaker 1: looking around and like, wow, this this to throw room grace.
- 21:52Speaker 1: But let me try to manipulate God to get what
- 21:54Speaker 1: I want. I think that's gonna be a safe thing
- 21:57Speaker 1: for you to do. I don't think so, Amen, I
- 22:03Speaker 1: don't think so. I think what's gonna happen is that
- 22:06Speaker 1: you're gonna be convicted by Holy Spirit. Amen. And you're
- 22:10Speaker 1: not gonna want to do that ever. Again. You're gonna
- 22:12Speaker 1: want to work things out properly according to how you
- 22:15Speaker 1: want to move to God. Because God is always honest
- 22:17Speaker 1: with us. So why wouldn't we be honest with him?
- 22:20Speaker 1: My wife Nilopez says, I will be the first to
- 22:23Speaker 1: admit that I was afraid as a new believer because
- 22:26Speaker 1: I was intimidated by those long, elaborated prayers. Instead, prayer
- 22:31Speaker 1: is simply speaking to God intimately. Amen. And if you allow.
- 22:37Speaker 1: First of all, we have Holy Spirit God in us
- 22:38Speaker 1: if we're born again, So even when we don't know
- 22:41Speaker 1: what to pray or how to pray, the Holy Spirit
- 22:43Speaker 1: will pray for us and through us. Amen. But on
- 22:46Speaker 1: top of that, when you're new, yeah you might be shy.
- 22:49Speaker 1: That's a human thing, but supernaturally we speak because God
- 22:53Speaker 1: speaks through us. If we have Holy Spirit God in us.
- 22:56Speaker 1: If you're not born again, then yeah, it might be
- 22:58Speaker 1: a little intimidating. But I even see people who are
- 23:00Speaker 1: not born again prayer and they just have a downpack.
- 23:04Speaker 1: They have like a method, they have a scheme of
- 23:06Speaker 1: things and they do it, and they have all these
- 23:09Speaker 1: nice worries, big worries and everything, And it could be intimidating.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But if you have a personal relationship with your Father
- 23:15Speaker 1: who's in heaven, how it will be thy name that
- 23:17Speaker 1: kidom come though will be done on earth as it
- 23:19Speaker 1: is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and
- 23:21Speaker 1: forgive us our trespasses that we know we forgive others
- 23:24Speaker 1: to truspass against us, Deliver us from the evil one.
- 23:27Speaker 1: And if you have like those type of scriptures in
- 23:30Speaker 1: your heart, your prayer life is going to be next
- 23:34Speaker 1: level because you're speaking to the Father honestly. And you
- 23:38Speaker 1: know when you could always win in your prayer is
- 23:40Speaker 1: when you repeat the word of God back to God
- 23:43Speaker 1: in a prayer. Amen. So that takes you out of
- 23:46Speaker 1: the way, takes all your motives out the way because
- 23:48Speaker 1: nice speaking truth, and you're prophesying because God's word is prophetic.
- 23:52Speaker 1: God's word is alive, active, shopping at any double edged sword.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And God will release a menpower through your prayer. Amen.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Let me try this again, Amen, So here it goes.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Got it. Some prayers are unanswered because they are they
- 24:16Speaker 1: are seeking self seeking prayers other than God prayers. Right,
- 24:23Speaker 1: If you're going to God with a self seeking prayer,
- 24:27Speaker 1: I would say it is a real slim chance of
- 24:28Speaker 1: those prayers that come to pass because God knows they're selfish. Amen.
- 24:34Speaker 1: And also some prayers go answer because we're asking God
- 24:38Speaker 1: for something with raw motives. God, can you do this
- 24:42Speaker 1: for me? And God knows that when you get that thing,
- 24:46Speaker 1: whatever that thing is, it could be financial breakthrough, it
- 24:49Speaker 1: could be healing to you. By that, you're gonna take
- 24:51Speaker 1: that and go buck wild with it. God is a
- 24:55Speaker 1: loving father, is not a hating father. So he's he's
- 24:58Speaker 1: mindful of what we're praying for. That's why a lot
- 25:01Speaker 1: of people go around saying, be careful what you pray
- 25:03Speaker 1: for a man, because if you get what you pray for,
- 25:06Speaker 1: and if you misuse the blessing, or if you misuse
- 25:10Speaker 1: the promise, or you misuse people a man, there's gonna
- 25:14Speaker 1: be a price to pay. No one's getting I know,
- 25:17Speaker 1: and even myself. Sometimes I look at some situations, I'd
- 25:20Speaker 1: be like, God is letting them get away with it,
- 25:22Speaker 1: and I remind myself God is not mocked. Do not
- 25:25Speaker 1: be deceived. God is not mocked. But a man who
- 25:28Speaker 1: souls he will reap. When a man reaps, he will sow.
- 25:31Speaker 1: So if you're sowing discord, you're sowing a manipulation, you're
- 25:35Speaker 1: sowing lies and profilying all that. You think because of
- 25:39Speaker 1: the grace of God, his amazing grace, you think, well, look,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm still here, I'm still alive. I guess God is
- 25:44Speaker 1: gonna get me passed. It might look that way, but
- 25:46Speaker 1: do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Amen. So
- 25:50Speaker 1: if you're reaping love, you will. If you're sowing love,
- 25:54Speaker 1: you will reap love. If you're sowing hatred, you will repatred.
- 25:59Speaker 1: If you're on with God, Amen, He's honest with us
- 26:02Speaker 1: all the time. So we don't even have to worry
- 26:04Speaker 1: about God lying to us because God doesn't lie. We lie.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Let every man be a liar and God be the truth. Amen.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So grow motives, personal pleasures rather than God's will is
- 26:16Speaker 1: the wrong prayer life. The importance of a learning our
- 26:20Speaker 1: heart with God's purposes is the right prayer life. Amen.
- 26:25Speaker 1: We are trying to align ourselves with God's promises with
- 26:28Speaker 1: his word. Amen, for today and in the future. Yesterday's
- 26:33Speaker 1: gone havings. You noticed, every day is a new day.
- 26:37Speaker 1: So that's the grace of God in our lives that
- 26:39Speaker 1: allows us to see a new day, whether this day
- 26:42Speaker 1: is going to be a good day or a bad day,
- 26:44Speaker 1: because yes, there's bad days. We're live in a broken world.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I can't lie. Why would I lie about that? But
- 26:50Speaker 1: I could pray to God and ask him to create
- 26:53Speaker 1: a day of protection. Protect me, God, reguard me, lead me. Amen.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So that way, whatever happens, I knowed a guy that
- 27:01Speaker 1: I can trust, a father in heaven that's with me.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I'm never alone. So Jesus cautions us about praying with
- 27:08Speaker 1: empty repetition or for a show. Amen. I probably have
- 27:12Speaker 1: to revisit this. This is a lot more and I
- 27:14Speaker 1: couldn't find my notes earlier. Amen. So when we visit this,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I'll pray nice Scott if he wants me to continue
- 27:21Speaker 1: with this but wrong prayer life. You don't want that,
- 27:23Speaker 1: You want the right prayer life. Read James chapter for
- 27:26Speaker 1: the whole chapter for yourself. I got them running out
- 27:28Speaker 1: of time here. But God, bless you all. Thank you
- 27:30Speaker 1: so much for hanging out with me. God keep you all,
- 27:33Speaker 1: and remember always that God is good. Peace.
