- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh cool, your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Gay. Let's get into the situation with your grandpa.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that is bizarre, and I guess I've never really
- 0:12Speaker 3: realized how long this situation has been going on. So on,
- 0:17Speaker 3: like the meta universe, right, Your Instagram's, your facebooks, your threads,
- 0:22Speaker 3: everything is all kind of connected in linked together to
- 0:26Speaker 3: your specific accounts if you choose to set it up
- 0:28Speaker 3: that way. So I help do a lot of the
- 0:31Speaker 3: social media for our John Jay and Rich Instagram page.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So I have the John Jay and Rich page connected
- 0:37Speaker 3: to all of the other accounts on my meta universe. Right,
- 0:40Speaker 3: So I like have the John Jay and Rich page,
- 0:42Speaker 3: and I have my page, and I have my name
- 0:44Speaker 3: Kadem's little Instagram page. I have all of these accounts,
- 0:47Speaker 3: and when I like repost or share things on the
- 0:52Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich Instagram story, that Instagram story goes
- 0:58Speaker 3: to my Facebook story. Does that make sense? So what
- 1:01Speaker 3: you're seeing on the John Jay and Rich Instagram story,
- 1:03Speaker 3: you were also seeing on my personal private Facebook page. Okay,
- 1:08Speaker 3: last week we had a listener who had one of
- 1:12Speaker 3: our new John Jay and Rich t shirts and she
- 1:16Speaker 3: was posing in it and she was doing a little
- 1:18Speaker 3: foot photo shoot for the Unfugged Feet account, So I'm
- 1:22Speaker 3: assuming I didn't repost it, so it must have been you,
- 1:24Speaker 3: John Jay. John j must have reposted this lady in
- 1:29Speaker 3: her John Jay and Rich shirt with her feet, and
- 1:32Speaker 3: that post got posted onto my pup, my private Facebook story,
- 1:36Speaker 3: and my grandpa is the first viewer on every single one.
- 1:41Speaker 3: So my poor grandpa is probably like, paype, like, what
- 1:45Speaker 3: are you doing? Why do you have these lady's feet
- 1:47Speaker 3: all up on Instagram story? Did he ask you?
- 1:50Speaker 4: Did he say something to you about it?
- 1:52Speaker 3: He vaguely kind of mentioned it a little bit. Because
- 1:54Speaker 3: my mom was just with him for the last week.
- 1:57Speaker 3: He's like, he has cancer, so he's like going through
- 1:59Speaker 3: all of his medical stuff, and he brought it up
- 2:02Speaker 3: to her, and she.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Brought up to me, and I was like, is he
- 2:06Speaker 5: loving it? Is he?
- 2:07Speaker 3: I think he's indifferent. I think he's confused.
- 2:10Speaker 2: So the story with this with this woman, she's so
- 2:13Speaker 2: she's messaged me many many times. So she bought our
- 2:16Speaker 2: merch and she's a woman she lost like one hundred
- 2:19Speaker 2: and sixty pounds or something for her yeah. Yeah, And
- 2:22Speaker 2: then so she's on the circuit of like talking to
- 2:24Speaker 2: people about her magical weight loss and how she did it,
- 2:27Speaker 2: and she did it like the you know, the healthy way,
- 2:29Speaker 2: and then she had the skin removed, which I'm fascinated by.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And then to pay for stuff, she became a foot model.
- 2:37Speaker 3: That's what one is doing.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It's crazy, It's truly crazy. And so she was like,
- 2:42Speaker 2: she bought a bunch of our merch. You know, I
- 2:44Speaker 2: didn't know she bought our merch. And then she starts
- 2:46Speaker 2: tagging unfugged feet and John Jay and Rich in her posts.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So why wouldn't I repost the John Jay and Rich stuff?
- 2:52Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Everybody else did post sends
- 2:53Speaker 2: a picture with John Jy Rich merch, I repost. But
- 2:56Speaker 2: she's like, I guess you would call her a professional
- 2:57Speaker 2: foot model now and she's were then she like made
- 3:01Speaker 2: mugs and she like made socks and stuff like.
- 3:04Speaker 3: That, socks with your face on them. How did you
- 3:06Speaker 3: feel about that?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Well, it was I just I didn't really spend all
- 3:09Speaker 2: the time. I just looked at it and go, that's neat.
- 3:11Speaker 2: But meat, I'm glad it's cool. People like embrace our
- 3:16Speaker 2: show and our merch. But I don't have I don't
- 3:18Speaker 2: know where it is anymore, Like, it's not I didn't Rea,
- 3:20Speaker 2: I didn't share it on the unfugged foot thread just
- 3:23Speaker 2: on stories, you know what I mean.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gone now, but my grandpa saw it, all
- 3:27Speaker 3: of it. Yeah, Risque No. She in the car, her
- 3:33Speaker 3: feet are like up on like the steering wheel, and
- 3:36Speaker 3: she's just like, so are you just embarrassing?
- 3:38Speaker 4: But it wasn't you so what Like.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It's just like, why are all of the things connected?
- 3:43Speaker 6: I don't want that.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I have to go because it's happened to me. Unfugged
- 3:47Speaker 2: feet is connected to jah j Van s on Facebook
- 3:50Speaker 2: and I don't know, every once in a while, like resets,
- 3:52Speaker 2: so I'll have like a million pictures of Kyle's feet
- 3:54Speaker 2: on my Facebook, and I have all these messages from
- 3:56Speaker 2: people going, hey, that's really nice to be like, Hey,
- 3:58Speaker 2: what's that about, Like, oh, it's an Instagram thing.
- 4:01Speaker 7: Enjoy.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You just want to hear from you, And I don't
- 4:04Speaker 1: think that's too much to ask.
- 4:05Speaker 6: And it's really stressing me.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Out that you're not calling eight seven seven nine three
- 4:10Speaker 1: seven one four seven Jay.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And Rich Jane Rich Salona, Salona, what's up? You're on
- 4:16Speaker 2: the air.
- 4:16Speaker 8: High Hey, guys.
- 4:18Speaker 9: Ye, So last week my roommate went out of town
- 4:23Speaker 9: and I had the house to myself, and I planned
- 4:26Speaker 9: like this whole cute like vibe night so that I could,
- 4:30Speaker 9: you know, prepare myself for getting better at hanging out
- 4:34Speaker 9: alone and being alone just I don't know, future things,
- 4:38Speaker 9: hopefully not looking away. Around midnight, I started hearing a
- 4:44Speaker 9: faint sound of baby crying somewhere in the house. What
- 4:48Speaker 9: and yeah, like I'm not I'm not kidding. It was terrifying,
- 4:53Speaker 9: just like random baby noises every few minutes, And naturally
- 4:58Speaker 9: I started freaking out and like check in closets and
- 5:00Speaker 9: under beds and everything, and I was so freaked out.
- 5:06Speaker 9: I like my my older brother lived close by, so
- 5:09Speaker 9: I called him and I started like sobbing freaking out.
- 5:13Speaker 9: As I was on the phone, I could hear it
- 5:15Speaker 9: again and he just starts laughing. And it turns out
- 5:20Speaker 9: that my brother had hidden one of those like really
- 5:22Speaker 9: creepy baby dolls in my hallway and like in like
- 5:26Speaker 9: the closet or whatever, and he was pranking me.
- 5:32Speaker 5: It's so great.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I would kill him when he gets home.
- 5:36Speaker 9: I'm still plotting my revenge like right now.
- 5:39Speaker 5: It's such a subtle little move too, that would be terrified. Look,
- 5:44Speaker 5: I mean, you know, I will tell you. When the
- 5:46Speaker 5: house is quiet and it's nighttime, I hear everything and
- 5:49Speaker 5: think it's an intruder. You hear the air conditioning turn on,
- 5:51Speaker 5: and you think somebody's busted through, because normally when there's
- 5:54Speaker 5: people around all that stuff just that there's like a noise,
- 5:58Speaker 5: just a drone. But what it's requiet. You hear everything.
- 6:01Speaker 2: You know when this has happened to me thrice times,
- 6:05Speaker 2: where I'm alone in the house and I'm in bed
- 6:07Speaker 2: and i have sleep apnea, Salona, so I'll be having
- 6:10Speaker 2: my mask on everything right now. I'm asleep and I'm alone,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and it's happened three times. Or you know that when
- 6:17Speaker 2: you wake up from falling in your dream, you know
- 6:19Speaker 2: that I kind of wake up like that, But it's
- 6:21Speaker 2: not from falling. It's because someone I feel moving in
- 6:24Speaker 2: the bed next to me. The bed moves like someone
- 6:27Speaker 2: is laying that that is scares the hell out of me.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I swear it's like a ghost or something. I mean,
- 6:31Speaker 2: it's so scary.
- 6:34Speaker 9: So oh my gosh, that's terrifying.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It's so funny. I just have to hear here's a
- 6:40Speaker 2: list of celebrities that claim to have been visited or
- 6:43Speaker 2: haunted by other famous people who have passed on. I
- 6:48Speaker 2: hope it's a famous person visiting me when I go
- 6:49Speaker 2: to sleep. Kendrick Lamar, Kendria Lamar. Have you guys heard
- 6:53Speaker 2: about him?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Well, I've heard about him, but not a ghost.
- 6:56Speaker 2: He says. Two Pakshaker visited him in a dream and
- 6:58Speaker 2: told him not to let his music die.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Really mm hmmm, that's a cool dream.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Megan Molellly, you know who she is. She's Karen on
- 7:05Speaker 2: Will and Grace. Okay, she says. Nicole Brown systs that
- 7:09Speaker 2: Simpson haunted their house because it was on the same
- 7:11Speaker 2: property where she lived. They had sounds and weird things
- 7:14Speaker 2: happening specific corner of the house.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Which she moved into.
- 7:17Speaker 3: That house.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Well, I know that house was torn down, so maybe
- 7:20Speaker 2: she built the house there. WHOA, I don't think I
- 7:22Speaker 2: would do that. And a armis you know who she is? Yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 2: she says Marilyn Monroe's ghost would visit the set of
- 7:28Speaker 2: Blonde and would throw things off the wall when she
- 7:31Speaker 2: didn't like something. Yeah, that's share she believes. Sonny Bono,
- 7:37Speaker 2: her husband of Dynasty, accident. Turns on the chandelier on
- 7:40Speaker 2: and off when there isn't any power, there's no power
- 7:42Speaker 2: in the house, it turns on.
- 7:43Speaker 10: Oh, it's terrifying.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And me. Somebody you sleeping in my bed and I
- 7:50Speaker 2: don't know who it is, but it is definitely like
- 7:52Speaker 2: the hairs on my arms in my back.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Do you feel like there's an actual person there? Yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 5: that's wild, it's really for real. You feel the bed sink? Oh,
- 8:00Speaker 5: you get up.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Well, it's Alona. Thanks for calling in, but at least
- 8:03Speaker 2: yours was a practical joke. You have answers, I don't
- 8:06Speaker 2: have answers.
- 8:08Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 8:09Speaker 12: Terrifying.
- 8:10Speaker 13: It's something like a horror movie.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Go get your revenge.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I have a great day. Thanks, thanks for listening.
- 8:15Speaker 9: Thank you guys.
- 8:16Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 8:18Speaker 1: The next segment we're going to do is called second
- 8:20Speaker 1: Date Update because that's what we're going to try and
- 8:23Speaker 1: get and that's what the bit is called Second Date Update.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Starts right now on John Jay and Rich.
- 8:29Speaker 2: One four seven Kiss FM. John Jay and Rich Not
- 8:31Speaker 2: for second Update. You meet somebody, you got a date,
- 8:33Speaker 2: you expect there to be a second date. It doesn't happen.
- 8:36Speaker 2: So you come to us. That's what Nate's doing. Good morning,
- 8:38Speaker 2: Nate morning. What's your story?
- 8:41Speaker 11: I would really like to be told, Well, I had
- 8:44Speaker 11: one of the best first dates in my life, and
- 8:46Speaker 11: I have just been ghosted about it. We were at
- 8:49Speaker 11: dinner for almost three hours, and conversation never got awkward
- 8:54Speaker 11: to me at least. She was gorgeous and funny and
- 9:00Speaker 11: honestly felt like someone I'd known him forever. She was
- 9:04Speaker 11: laughing at all my stupid jokes and me. We walked
- 9:08Speaker 11: around afterwards, and I left thinking, you know, this could
- 9:12Speaker 11: actually go somewhere, and I had not gotten any response
- 9:16Speaker 11: since then. I'd gotten a laughing emoji. That's as far
- 9:19Speaker 11: as I've gotten from her.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I'd like to hear one of your stupid jokes that
- 9:22Speaker 2: she laughed at me, Like did she laugh you like
- 9:26Speaker 2: an honest, sincere laugh, or she laughed you like like,
- 9:28Speaker 2: oh man, I got to get out of here.
- 9:31Speaker 11: I thought it was honest to be perfectly frank with you.
- 9:36Speaker 11: I thought, you know, I mean, listen, if I'm a loser,
- 9:40Speaker 11: then I'll I'll happily accept it. But that's why I
- 9:43Speaker 11: called you guys.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Wait know, but did she laugh like? Can we hear
- 9:46Speaker 4: a joke.
- 9:46Speaker 11: All right, I'll tell you a stupid joke. A man
- 9:52Speaker 11: drives along in the country roads and he is driving
- 9:55Speaker 11: in a sports car comes across a horse in the
- 9:57Speaker 11: middle of a field that says for sale, and he
- 9:59Speaker 11: decided to he wants to buy that horse. He goes
- 10:01Speaker 11: up to the farmer ruins the horse and says, hey,
- 10:03Speaker 11: can I buy the horse? The farmer says, sure you can,
- 10:07Speaker 11: but I gotta tell you the horse used to be
- 10:09Speaker 11: owned by a bunch of monks, and it only responds
- 10:11Speaker 11: to certain phrases. In order for you to make it go,
- 10:14Speaker 11: you have to say thank God. In order for you
- 10:17Speaker 11: to make it stop, you have to say I'm men.
- 10:19Speaker 11: The man jumps on the horse and says thank God,
- 10:21Speaker 11: and the horse shoots off like a bullet. He goes
- 10:23Speaker 11: faster and faster, and he's enjoying himself immensely, But then
- 10:26Speaker 11: he realizes that there's a cliff coming up ahead. He
- 10:29Speaker 11: can't remember the phrase to make it stop, and the
- 10:32Speaker 11: clips are coming up closer, and he thinks he's gonna die.
- 10:35Speaker 11: And suddenly he remembers the phrase I'm in, I'm in,
- 10:39Speaker 11: and the horse screeches to a stop. He looks to
- 10:42Speaker 11: the sky and he says, thank God and.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Get a second takeout.
- 10:57Speaker 14: Joke delivery was great, good something else. I've never heard
- 11:08Speaker 14: that joke before. All right, Well, all right, so she
- 11:12Speaker 14: blows you off. You don't know why he thought it
- 11:14Speaker 14: was great. So what's her name. We'll get her on
- 11:15Speaker 14: the phone, Tyler, all right, can you hang for a second.
- 11:18Speaker 14: We'll get Titter on the phone.
- 11:19Speaker 2: All right, Yeah, we're gonna find out why she's blowing
- 11:22Speaker 2: off this comic genius. All right. Second date update continues
- 11:26Speaker 2: next with John Jay and Rich.
- 11:28Speaker 1: If Chaos was a radio show, you're listening to its
- 11:32Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich.
- 11:33Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich, we are in the middle of
- 11:36Speaker 2: second date update.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Well, this is the story of Nate. Nate had a
- 11:40Speaker 5: really good first date. He thought he found himate. He
- 11:44Speaker 5: found her where he ate. But Nate, it's too late.
- 11:48Speaker 5: She doesn't like one of your traits. So she's not
- 11:51Speaker 5: calling you back. Let's find out why.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Well, he thinks it's because he's a bad No. I
- 11:55Speaker 2: thought maybe he's a bad joke teller. But he's a
- 11:57Speaker 2: great joke Yeah, he said. She was laughing at his
- 12:01Speaker 2: cute jokes, and we laughed at his cute jokes we did.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So we're going to call her up right now, you ready, Nate? Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 2: guys of mind, someone's calling me.
- 12:10Speaker 4: No, kind of in the middle of something kind o.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Hello, Hi is this Taylor?
- 12:34Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:34Speaker 3: Hi, Hi, My name is Peyton. I'm with John Jay
- 12:37Speaker 3: and Rich and we just wanted to talk to you
- 12:39Speaker 3: about a few things this morning if you're free.
- 12:41Speaker 13: Okay.
- 12:43Speaker 2: So we got a call from a guy, great personality.
- 12:47Speaker 2: He went on a date with this fantastic woman. He said,
- 12:50Speaker 2: he had a great date, three hour date, and now
- 12:52Speaker 2: she's blowing him off. He doesn't know why. Here's the deal.
- 12:54Speaker 2: He came to us because you're that woman. We told
- 12:57Speaker 2: him we would call you and get your version, you know,
- 13:00Speaker 2: the story, because the way he told it seemed like
- 13:02Speaker 2: you guys were men for each other.
- 13:04Speaker 15: Okay, is this mate?
- 13:08Speaker 2: It's John, Jay and Rich.
- 13:08Speaker 16: But yes, we're calling about okay, okay, okay, So.
- 13:15Speaker 15: Jesus, this is so embarrassing. First of all, he was amazing.
- 13:19Speaker 15: I like actually genuinely had a good time with him,
- 13:22Speaker 15: and like he didn't do anything wrong. But like I
- 13:27Speaker 15: didn't know whose family was until he started like showing
- 13:29Speaker 15: pictures of you know, our families on Instagram, and he
- 13:33Speaker 15: pulled up a picture of his dad and I immediately
- 13:36Speaker 15: recognized him, like immediately, and oh my god, I can't
- 13:41Speaker 15: believe them things on the radio. I used to be
- 13:45Speaker 15: his dad's sugar baby when I graduated from college.
- 13:47Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, and.
- 13:54Speaker 15: His dad and I have this whole arrangement like trips
- 13:57Speaker 15: build all of it. He has had asolutely no idea,
- 14:00Speaker 15: and I was like, not about to be like, hey,
- 14:03Speaker 15: you know, funny story.
- 14:05Speaker 13: So I don't know. I figured ghosting him.
- 14:09Speaker 15: Was honestly less traumatizing than him finding out later.
- 14:11Speaker 12: But he's great.
- 14:12Speaker 13: I know.
- 14:13Speaker 17: There's no way I'm dating.
- 14:14Speaker 10: The little statusy naked.
- 14:16Speaker 17: I'm sorry, I just can't do it.
- 14:17Speaker 5: How long did this relationship we put in your quotes last?
- 14:22Speaker 8: Like a while?
- 14:23Speaker 5: Like years?
- 14:24Speaker 15: A while?
- 14:26Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. How much money did you get? What'd
- 14:28Speaker 3: you get? What was the most?
- 14:31Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I'd see why.
- 14:33Speaker 4: You wouldn't say anything, because let's say you guys did
- 14:36Speaker 4: start to like each other, eventually you would meet the family,
- 14:38Speaker 4: and that would be a very awkward, awkward.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yes, I think it would be hard to develop a
- 14:43Speaker 2: relationship with someone that your dad slept with yeah, I
- 14:47Speaker 2: mean you slept with him. You said he saw you naked,
- 14:48Speaker 2: so you guys did it all? Yes? What kind old
- 14:52Speaker 2: man like thirty forty years older than you? Or is
- 14:55Speaker 2: he like ten years older than you? Well, how old
- 14:58Speaker 2: is he?
- 14:58Speaker 15: He's significantly older?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Okay, okay, all right, I know that makes sense. On
- 15:07Speaker 3: why you wouldn't get back to him. I think we're
- 15:09Speaker 3: all in the same boat. I would also ghost.
- 15:11Speaker 5: I'm wondering why Nate didn't catch a shift in the energy.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like what I mean he did because he called us.
- 15:18Speaker 5: Well, yeah, he thought the whole thing was great, even
- 15:21Speaker 5: because we said how did it end? And he's like
- 15:22Speaker 5: always a really nice hug, goodbye. Yeah, and we're still
- 15:25Speaker 5: getting along. Were you just completely was your your stomach
- 15:28Speaker 5: completely sank?
- 15:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:31Speaker 15: I really liked him, but I was like, this sucks
- 15:34Speaker 15: and it's embarrassing, and like, what else am I going
- 15:38Speaker 15: to do?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Look, I get to tell you back back in the day,
- 15:41Speaker 2: when I was single and I was dating, I remember
- 15:43Speaker 2: whenever like a girl acted kind of weird, for I'd
- 15:45Speaker 2: be like, I think she slept with my dad.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Because your dad in these streets or something.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Well, I gotta be clean with you. Is on the
- 15:58Speaker 2: line listening.
- 16:01Speaker 11: Hi, Tayling if Nate.
- 16:04Speaker 15: Oh my god, Nate, I did not know you were listening.
- 16:08Speaker 9: I'm so so sorry.
- 16:09Speaker 11: This explains a lot. My brain has been melting for
- 16:13Speaker 11: the last week trying to figure out what I did.
- 16:15Speaker 11: You know, I thought that I'd said something terribly stupid
- 16:19Speaker 11: or awful or I don't know. I just I wasn't
- 16:23Speaker 11: expecting my dad to be the reason. But you know
- 16:26Speaker 11: it's a reason.
- 16:27Speaker 5: It's not me.
- 16:28Speaker 15: No, you didn't do anything wrong. You were amazing. That's
- 16:30Speaker 15: why I felt so bad ghosting you.
- 16:33Speaker 11: I'm not surprised. My dad was basically single his entire
- 16:37Speaker 11: life and he didn't have me until he was fifty five, So,
- 16:41Speaker 11: you know, as insane as this all sounds, I'm honestly
- 16:44Speaker 11: not shocked. He's always liked younger women.
- 16:46Speaker 15: Oh my god, I was mortified.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Well what if Nate didn't care? What if Nate was
- 16:51Speaker 5: okay with it and be like, Hey, everybody's got a history,
- 16:53Speaker 5: let's still go out.
- 16:54Speaker 3: And Taylor's obviously not as actually ghosted him to bed.
- 17:00Speaker 4: No stop, because if they like date and they get
- 17:04Speaker 4: serious and they get married, I mean.
- 17:07Speaker 3: You cannot have you cannot have slept with your father
- 17:10Speaker 3: in law. That is just not no. No, Sure there's
- 17:14Speaker 3: people that have done it, but it's not a good thing.
- 17:17Speaker 11: No, I can this is not something either of us need. Taylor,
- 17:21Speaker 11: It's fine, totally fine. I appreciate being told, but you know,
- 17:26Speaker 11: it's it's okay, it's all okay.
- 17:29Speaker 12: Yeah, I agree, Like, you don't need to have somebody
- 17:33Speaker 12: who's dating history overlaps your dad's and someone who shows
- 17:37Speaker 12: up at Thanksgiving and I don't want to even think
- 17:41Speaker 12: it off.
- 17:43Speaker 11: Well, my dad died last year, waited happy man, Taylor,
- 17:50Speaker 11: Oh god, I'm so sorry.
- 17:53Speaker 2: It's fine. Well, you know now that now that, now
- 17:55Speaker 2: that you die, I wonder if that changes.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Don't you don't have to do that.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah. In fact, it's almost like it's you have a
- 18:03Speaker 2: connection with your dad forever, you.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Know, because he's not going to be there.
- 18:11Speaker 16: Radio show.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I was being like realistic. I wonder if it's a
- 18:17Speaker 2: way to pay homage if you really like her and
- 18:20Speaker 2: you start dating her and then.
- 18:22Speaker 11: You know, Yeah, I don't think you can tell me
- 18:24Speaker 11: when you speak, do you hear what you say?
- 18:27Speaker 4: Twice we asked John that all the time. I'm sorry, Nate.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Technical difficulties, Nate. Everything I say I heard it was
- 18:41Speaker 2: plentier and again in the other.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Sorry, sorry name, Sorry.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Anyway, Nate, I was really hoping you could take what
- 18:49Speaker 2: I said seriously and look at a different point of view.
- 18:52Speaker 2: If I fell in love with somebody and my dad
- 18:54Speaker 2: stupp with them and he died, I'd be like, Okay, but.
- 18:58Speaker 3: You see, you're every time you saw whoever that was,
- 19:02Speaker 3: you would not be okay with my dad. Not yes,
- 19:05Speaker 3: you do, but that's no gross.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I would love to think of my dad every time
- 19:09Speaker 2: I'm making love.
- 19:09Speaker 3: No, you would not, so false.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Again or no, it is over.
- 19:20Speaker 11: I think both of us are unfortunately quite content to
- 19:24Speaker 11: let this go.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it seems mutual.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Run away faster, all right, So Taylor, thank you for
- 19:30Speaker 2: jumping on there with us, And thank you Nate. Sorry
- 19:32Speaker 2: I didn't turn out the way you wanted.
- 19:33Speaker 5: No, I mean, it wasn't his jokes, which is what
- 19:34Speaker 5: he's really concerned about.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Are you still a sugar baby?
- 19:37Speaker 13: I know I have my own job, now, okay?
- 19:41Speaker 2: Were you sugar baby for a lot of guys or
- 19:43Speaker 2: just his dad?
- 19:45Speaker 15: Just one?
- 19:46Speaker 8: This one?
- 19:46Speaker 15: I just needed some help at the beginning of you know,
- 19:49Speaker 15: getting out of college.
- 19:50Speaker 10: I just needed a little.
- 19:52Speaker 15: Financial help before I got on my feet, and that's
- 19:54Speaker 15: what I chose to do.
- 19:55Speaker 2: But okay, well, thank you both for going on the air.
- 19:58Speaker 2: You guys, that's second date up date.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Have an idea for the show?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Today is your day?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Use the iHeartRadio app and talk back to us. Right now.
- 20:08Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich Do we haven't contested yet?
- 20:10Speaker 13: Not yet?
- 20:11Speaker 5: I do not what?
- 20:12Speaker 4: Oh?
- 20:12Speaker 2: Maybe hello, hey, good morning. Okay, let's play game. What
- 20:19Speaker 2: are we playing? Noise Machine?
- 20:21Speaker 6: You guys were playing Noise Machine today.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It's gonna be super fun because we're playing tech noises,
- 20:28Speaker 1: technois noises that you hear every single day. Uh, and
- 20:34Speaker 1: it's gonna be super fun. Like I said, we're gonna
- 20:36Speaker 1: start with John Jay.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I love this game. Is that a FaceTime?
- 20:47Speaker 6: That is a FaceTime?
- 20:49Speaker 2: Man?
- 20:49Speaker 1: They answered, too, good for you, John Jay. One point
- 20:52Speaker 1: for John Jay thus far in the game. Rich Oh
- 21:00Speaker 1: that is somebody feverishly texting, oh yeah, yeah, you have
- 21:03Speaker 1: to have your ringer on to hear that one. But
- 21:04Speaker 1: you got it right. Good job, Peyton.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Logging into your computer.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I think that's what it is. Okay, anybody have a
- 21:15Speaker 1: guess in the room because that one's wrong.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Is that if you have your Alexa hooked up to
- 21:19Speaker 5: your ring when something gets dropped off.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what it is. It's a delivery from Alexa.
- 21:25Speaker 5: No way in my house. Happens so often because my
- 21:28Speaker 5: beautiful wife Stacy doesn't go anywhere. She only orders things online.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Oh, I don't have that.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I don't have it. I don't have Alexa anymore.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Took off if you get it hooked up to your
- 21:38Speaker 3: text notification that Amazon dropped off my package.
- 21:42Speaker 5: Which is kind of scary too, because you know how
- 21:43Speaker 5: Amazon drops off stuff sometimes at two or three in
- 21:45Speaker 5: the morning. You'll hear it go early.
- 21:50Speaker 2: That's why my phone's on silent. I don't want that noise.
- 21:53Speaker 1: One point for John Jay, one point for Rich. Wait
- 21:56Speaker 1: for Peyton in round two to get on the board.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Kyle, that's really hard is at the beginning of fifty
- 22:06Speaker 5: cent in the club.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Okay, I want to say, it's like a streaming. Oh
- 22:15Speaker 4: my gosh, it's like Windows.
- 22:17Speaker 3: That's what I thought too.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It is.
- 22:20Speaker 1: It is a Windows noise. It's when you get an
- 22:22Speaker 1: error on your computer, get it wrong or something. All right, nice,
- 22:27Speaker 1: try Kyle. Thanks half point because it's from Windows. All right, Savannah,
- 22:31Speaker 1: you ready, I think, so let's go.
- 22:37Speaker 13: Is that when you send an email?
- 22:39Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 22:40Speaker 2: That's right after.
- 22:42Speaker 1: One round, Savannah, John Jay, and Rich all tied with
- 22:45Speaker 1: one point.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Move on to round two to John Jay.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Oh my god, boy, this is such a great game
- 22:54Speaker 2: because every single one of these sounds sounds so familiar.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Can I hear it again?
- 22:59Speaker 4: Sure?
- 23:03Speaker 2: Is that? Uh? Is that an I am?
- 23:05Speaker 6: An?
- 23:06Speaker 5: I am?
- 23:06Speaker 8: Is?
- 23:07Speaker 6: It's incorrect?
- 23:08Speaker 3: That sounds like a streaming service, like a like an Apple.
- 23:11Speaker 9: Are you able to Stealeah?
- 23:13Speaker 6: Go ahead, Savannah.
- 23:15Speaker 9: It's when the TikTok video ends.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Yep, it's from the TikTok.
- 23:23Speaker 3: That was so tricky.
- 23:24Speaker 1: All right, sorry, John Jay one point in the whole game.
- 23:29Speaker 1: We'll move on out of Rich.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Oh, that's when John Jay leaves his computer up during
- 23:37Speaker 5: the show. He's getting emails.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Aline, Oh my god, it's a thousand correct.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Yeah, way to go. And I wasn't I wasn't checking email.
- 23:48Speaker 1: All right, Rich with two points ties up, Savannah, Peyton.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Was Paydon looks so confused right now?
- 24:02Speaker 3: Okay, so that's obviously some sort of like ancient artifact noise.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Ancient that is like definitely like your mom's fax machine
- 24:14Speaker 3: or something.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Is that euphemism? No, it's not. It's not my mom's
- 24:18Speaker 1: fax machine. It's not a fax machine.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Is that a pager? One of those things where you
- 24:21Speaker 3: would like dial or whatever?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Does the other millennial in the room when AOL dial up?
- 24:28Speaker 6: Yeah, dial a bitternet. That's what we're looking for.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I never had to do that.
- 24:32Speaker 5: Connect.
- 24:34Speaker 3: I just go straight.
- 24:35Speaker 5: Onto the Wi Fi to wait for people to get
- 24:37Speaker 5: up the phone in your house to connect.
- 24:40Speaker 1: All right, nice, try Payton. I appreciate the effort. Move
- 24:44Speaker 1: on out, Kyle.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Okay, and that is like when you open up your computer.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Yeah that's when.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Okay, a point and a half for Kyle. But here's
- 24:58Speaker 1: the deal. Savannah can in the game. She has two
- 25:01Speaker 1: points already, but she has to get this one right.
- 25:08Speaker 1: All right, all right, good job, Savannah.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Where they go, sav a complete domination.
- 25:15Speaker 2: We're going to set you up with kilt tickets. Savannah.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Thanks for listening.
- 25:18Speaker 15: Oh perfect, Thank you so much.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I'm so glad you're here.
- 25:23Speaker 1: As the person who currently occupies your attention, I would
- 25:26Speaker 1: like to thank you for listening to John Jaye Rich.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Good morning, Kendall.
- 25:31Speaker 8: Oh hey, y'all, what's up.
- 25:34Speaker 16: So I've had the biggest crush on the sky at
- 25:37Speaker 16: work for months and we finally started learning. We were
- 25:41Speaker 16: both in the supply closet, you know, like grabbing stuff,
- 25:46Speaker 16: and he made this stupid joke that caught me completely
- 25:49Speaker 16: off guard, and I laughed so hard I farted.
- 25:56Speaker 18: And it wasn't I know, it wasn't just like a
- 26:00Speaker 18: cute little like like, it was like a full on
- 26:04Speaker 18: like somebody moved a chair across across the floor, like,
- 26:07Speaker 18: oh no, is there a brass instrument.
- 26:10Speaker 16: In the room like art.
- 26:12Speaker 18: He pretended not to hear it, which somehow made it
- 26:15Speaker 18: even worse.
- 26:16Speaker 16: And I am currently speaking to employment, So if you'll have.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Any of these, that's not where I thought this is going.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Supply closets.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I mean, think about that for one and both the
- 26:29Speaker 2: supply clause. I remember we were in supply clouse over there,
- 26:31Speaker 2: like if you if somebody farted in there, oh my god.
- 26:34Speaker 2: So like just two people in the supply cost.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Know, there's no questions like where the noise came, right,
- 26:42Speaker 4: how did you handle it?
- 26:43Speaker 2: How did you handle it?
- 26:45Speaker 18: He literally just like ignored it.
- 26:48Speaker 16: It was awful and it was stinky.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he would have got out of there.
- 26:56Speaker 5: I was just run, no lunch, take your time. So
- 27:00Speaker 5: it's for you.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Oh that's what a great way to break the wind,
- 27:03Speaker 2: I mean the ice.
- 27:05Speaker 10: Wow.
- 27:06Speaker 2: All right, that's a great story, Kendall, thanks for sharing
- 27:08Speaker 2: it with us. That's embarrassing, great story for everybody. But Ken, she's.
- 27:12Speaker 3: In good spirits about it. She's laughing about it.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what, Let's see, let's say you end
- 27:17Speaker 5: up get Let's say you guys end up getting married
- 27:19Speaker 5: in this office romance blossoms. What a great story for
- 27:23Speaker 5: your reception to tell people someday.
- 27:26Speaker 2: All right. My my first girlfriend, her name was Stephanie
- 27:29Speaker 2: with an F and I remember one time we were
- 27:32Speaker 2: like doing that thing like we're like, I don't know.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I was like tickling her, like I just felt like
- 27:36Speaker 2: we're gonna go late. You're late, what do you doing?
- 27:37Speaker 2: And she and she ripped one and I remember the
- 27:39Speaker 2: way that she deflected. It was like like she got
- 27:42Speaker 2: all read and she's like, did you hear something? Just
- 27:45Speaker 2: did you hear that? Like I guess something happened in
- 27:47Speaker 2: the other room. It was her And I was like
- 27:49Speaker 2: you fine, and she's like we were not together, not
- 27:55Speaker 2: because of the probably because of that. Hi Kendell, thanks
- 28:00Speaker 2: calling on your life sover eight seven seven seven one
- 28:04Speaker 2: four seven. Let's get into the something embarrassing that happening
- 28:06Speaker 2: at work. B Are you there?
- 28:10Speaker 16: I am here.
- 28:11Speaker 2: What happened to your work that was embarrassing? Oh god?
- 28:15Speaker 13: Okay?
- 28:16Speaker 10: So you know how sometimes you get sleepd in.
- 28:18Speaker 19: The middle night and you doom scroll.
- 28:20Speaker 10: And it was like one point thirty in the morning
- 28:22Speaker 10: and I get on, like I get obviously on Instagram
- 28:27Speaker 10: doing scrolling, and but my company's chat and the group
- 28:30Speaker 10: chat pops up and my CEO had send this like
- 28:33Speaker 10: really amazing motivational message about like crushing gold and all
- 28:37Speaker 10: the things. And I accidentally sent the heart eye emojis
- 28:41Speaker 10: into our company chat, and it was just it was
- 28:46Speaker 10: instead of doing the silence of the notification, which is
- 28:48Speaker 10: what I meant to do, and so it was really
- 28:51Speaker 10: I freaked out. I tried to remove it. It's and
- 28:54Speaker 10: somehow like my big fingers called the CEO instead of.
- 28:58Speaker 9: Removing him on WhatsApp. I'm just like.
- 29:05Speaker 10: No, and so then obviously I hung up immediately, but
- 29:09Speaker 10: he answered fast enough to see my face. And so
- 29:14Speaker 10: the next morning I walk into work praying. He's like
- 29:18Speaker 10: just gonna ignore me, you know that's that.
- 29:20Speaker 13: I feel like that would be like the good thing
- 29:22Speaker 13: to do because it.
- 29:22Speaker 19: Was super awkward, but instead he goes.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Hey, everything okay last night?
- 29:28Speaker 10: I was so embarrassed. I just like, I feel like
- 29:31Speaker 10: I should switch jobs. I feel like finance isn't the
- 29:35Speaker 10: place for me. I just don't know.
- 29:37Speaker 19: What to do.
- 29:38Speaker 5: How did you answer that? When he asked everything okay
- 29:40Speaker 5: last night? How do you define so?
- 29:42Speaker 8: I was?
- 29:43Speaker 13: I was so awkward.
- 29:43Speaker 10: I was like like the high pitched and I didn't
- 29:47Speaker 10: even say words. I just did up.
- 29:49Speaker 3: I think I air CEO. I don't know, this is
- 29:52Speaker 3: just me. I find that odd that he would answer
- 29:54Speaker 3: the call like on the first like on the first break,
- 29:57Speaker 3: you know.
- 29:58Speaker 5: I feel like he might have had the photo hand right,
- 30:00Speaker 5: but like, I don't.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Know, I would in the morning my employee calling and
- 30:04Speaker 3: being like this is weird. I'm not going to.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Answer this, or maybe he's got a thing for That's
- 30:11Speaker 4: what I say. The heart eyes you called, He's like,
- 30:14Speaker 4: this is the moment I've been waiting.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you this. I have accidentally facetimed
- 30:20Speaker 2: a friend by mistake and was mortified and he picked up.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I can't imagine doing that to my boss. I don't
- 30:26Speaker 2: I just can't image my boss picked out. God. Sorry
- 30:29Speaker 2: it was a bunt. O god, Oh god, I'm so sorry.
- 30:31Speaker 2: I was like that with my friend. Oh god, I
- 30:33Speaker 2: didn't mean a bunt. Oh God, what's up man? Nothing
- 30:37Speaker 2: was a mistake. I would never FaceTime. Well, thank you
- 30:42Speaker 2: for participating and sharing that story. B You're welcome. Eight
- 30:46Speaker 2: seven seven ninety three seven one o four seven. Something
- 30:48Speaker 2: embarrassing that happened at work. We want to hear from.
- 30:51Speaker 2: You know what my my doctor said the other day.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I was walking, you know, she's up at my gym
- 30:55Speaker 2: all the time, and somebody goes, I smell bacon. She
- 30:58Speaker 2: was cooking bacon in the in the microwave, and it
- 31:01Speaker 2: smelled up the whole gym, which is an interesting smell
- 31:04Speaker 2: to smell when you're exercising breakfast.
- 31:07Speaker 5: You don't feel like that.
- 31:08Speaker 2: That's so hungry, right, And it smelled so good at
- 31:10Speaker 2: the gym. So she goes, well, at least it's not
- 31:12Speaker 2: like I used to barbecue. She goes, I used to
- 31:14Speaker 2: microwave fish in there. I was like, oh god, growth gross,
- 31:18Speaker 2: I can't imagine that would be embarrassing. I think if
- 31:20Speaker 2: you're the person that microwave fish at work and the
- 31:24Speaker 2: whole place stuck, I gotta believe it's a terrible smell.
- 31:27Speaker 2: So we'll take any kind of work embarrassing story eight
- 31:30Speaker 2: seven seven ninety three seven one oh four seven. It's
- 31:32Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 31:33Speaker 6: Come for the John Jay and Rich. But let's be honest.
- 31:37Speaker 1: If you stay for Kyle and Peyton, it's John Jay
- 31:40Speaker 1: and Ridge.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I was off the grid for four days, right I went.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I was camping and had no cell phone service, nothing,
- 31:46Speaker 2: and I was it was a bunch of guys, and
- 31:49Speaker 2: you know how when you hang out with people, you
- 31:51Speaker 2: kind of start to like, like everybody there was wearing
- 31:55Speaker 2: a certain thing, and I was kind of like jealous
- 31:57Speaker 2: I didn't have a certain thing. And then I it
- 31:59Speaker 2: was I bought a certain thing, so I'm wearing it
- 32:01Speaker 2: right now. Like I I bought a vest. Yeah, I
- 32:05Speaker 2: bought a vest.
- 32:07Speaker 3: What does it look like?
- 32:09Speaker 2: Here? I'll show you. Okay, let me see.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Can you see me make a winter vest? It looks
- 32:14Speaker 3: like a je for like.
- 32:17Speaker 2: I was in the woods, Peyton. Can you see yeah, yeah.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Oh, it's like cut off. It's like black and blue
- 32:26Speaker 3: like a popper vest.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Yeah, everyone wearing that.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Everyone. There are thinner versions of it too, but I
- 32:31Speaker 2: got so stressed that it's hard to explain. But like
- 32:33Speaker 2: they had a booth set up, but they're selling merch,
- 32:35Speaker 2: and I bought a bunch of merch and then I
- 32:38Speaker 2: was embarrassed and I went and returned to the merch
- 32:40Speaker 2: the next day, and then it was like and then
- 32:42Speaker 2: I was like, let me get a vest, and I
- 32:44Speaker 2: bought it, and I bought a hat and the hat
- 32:45Speaker 2: that the girl said, the hat look cool, so I
- 32:47Speaker 2: kept the hat, but no know where the hat. It
- 32:48Speaker 2: looks a little too small. But anyway, So I'm camping, right,
- 32:52Speaker 2: I'm in the I'm in the Redwood forest like from
- 32:54Speaker 2: the song. So I'm in the Redwood forest, camping, no
- 33:00Speaker 2: cell service whatsoever. I didn't know anything that was going on.
- 33:03Speaker 2: And when I flew back, it was in the middle
- 33:05Speaker 2: of the World Cup and I saw some things I
- 33:08Speaker 2: saw at one point from a group chat with my
- 33:10Speaker 2: friends that Spain won. But I missed Bieber. I missed
- 33:15Speaker 2: everything that whatever was going on in the world. So
- 33:17Speaker 2: I literally don't know anything going on. Weren't a vest
- 33:20Speaker 2: and everything.
- 33:23Speaker 3: It's a really interesting choice that best.
- 33:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I wonder like, uh, there's somebody like super cool
- 33:28Speaker 5: that wore that vest because everybody, Oh yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 4: I do feel like I would get caught up in
- 33:33Speaker 4: like a merch, you know, like there's a lot of
- 33:37Speaker 4: merch that I bought at concerts that I probably would
- 33:39Speaker 4: have never bought anywhere else.
- 33:40Speaker 2: But like tottle concert, I buy merch and I never
- 33:43Speaker 2: wear it. I feel stupid at the time. It's like
- 33:45Speaker 2: when you go on vacation, you buy it, you buy
- 33:47Speaker 2: something from there, and then you never wear it again.
- 33:49Speaker 2: But I'm going to try to wear this vest a
- 33:51Speaker 2: lot because I really liked Itally, everybody was there. Everybody
- 33:55Speaker 2: there was wearing a vest. Almost everybody there wearing a vest.
- 33:57Speaker 2: And by the way, when I say I'm camded with
- 33:58Speaker 2: a bunch of guys, I can't say too much about
- 34:00Speaker 2: where I was. I can't. I can't explain why I
- 34:01Speaker 2: can't say too much where I was. But I was
- 34:03Speaker 2: camping with two thousand, five hundred men. Who all men?
- 34:09Speaker 3: Is that crazy? In a forest? Twenty five hundred men?
- 34:12Speaker 6: I'm terrified it was.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Where are you terrified? It sounds like good? Like no
- 34:15Speaker 4: like to be scared a big, huge mandate. No, you
- 34:18Speaker 4: just never know.
- 34:19Speaker 3: You could want to be among all of you guys,
- 34:21Speaker 3: the likelihood of there would be a psychopath.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Oh that's what you're worried about.
- 34:24Speaker 2: No outside outside of like you know, the birth of
- 34:28Speaker 2: my kids and wedding and all the things you're supposed
- 34:30Speaker 2: to say. This is probably for the coolest days of
- 34:32Speaker 2: my entire life. But I can never talk about it.
- 34:35Speaker 4: You can't say what you've done there, No, Kyle, stop
- 34:38Speaker 4: asking did you sign an NDA?
- 34:41Speaker 20: No?
- 34:41Speaker 2: And what's funny is a couple of guys said, how
- 34:43Speaker 2: are you going to talk about this on the air
- 34:44Speaker 2: next week? And I said, I don't know if I can.
- 34:46Speaker 2: They said, you sign an NDIA and I was like no.
- 34:49Speaker 2: And then the friend that invited me you said, well
- 34:51Speaker 2: I signed some stuff. So I was like, I don't
- 34:52Speaker 2: want to throw him out. Un okay, but it was
- 34:55Speaker 2: it was incredible. And part of the deal is you
- 34:57Speaker 2: have to wear a vest.
- 34:58Speaker 4: I don't think that was the the requirements.
- 35:02Speaker 5: Is there a particular brand a vest that is like
- 35:05Speaker 5: the the go to.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Funny you say that there were two brands there and
- 35:09Speaker 2: the one brand I like, gosh, if you're told any Peter.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Oh Peter, wait wait wait what did you say?
- 35:15Speaker 3: North face?
- 35:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I have. Yeah, everyone has the Peter Malar,
- 35:18Speaker 2: but the one I picked was the north Face. I'll
- 35:20Speaker 2: bummed out after.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I bought it. Face was very popular, I know.
- 35:24Speaker 4: But all the guys had Peter mala I think Peter
- 35:26Speaker 4: is like a big golf brand. Scott likes that brand.
- 35:29Speaker 2: That pants.
- 35:30Speaker 3: It's like Scott also have a vest. He does.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Actually, he's got a few.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Vests and maybe I'll take him with me next year.
- 35:38Speaker 5: He would fit right in the type of guy that
- 35:41Speaker 5: likes to wear a vest. You might like this event. Yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 5: you can't know anything about.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I need to I need more vests. If you get
- 35:48Speaker 2: free roses, it's a trap.
- 35:51Speaker 1: The War of the Roses starts right now on John
- 35:54Speaker 1: Jay and Ridge.
- 35:55Speaker 2: The time for War of the Roses. You're in a relationship,
- 35:57Speaker 2: you think so M's cheating on you. You come to us
- 35:59Speaker 2: and we will help figure it all out. Let's say
- 36:01Speaker 2: hello to Ashlan Ashley and you're on the air John
- 36:04Speaker 2: Jay and Rich War the Roses. Hello, what's your story?
- 36:06Speaker 8: I think my husband's having an affair with our son's
- 36:09Speaker 8: swim teacher.
- 36:10Speaker 5: Your son's what teacher?
- 36:12Speaker 4: Swim teacher?
- 36:13Speaker 8: Swim teacher?
- 36:14Speaker 3: Like, is it like one of those like where they
- 36:16Speaker 3: teach the babies how to swim?
- 36:18Speaker 21: All, yeah, there's like like that kind of thing.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Like no, like my nephews have like a swim and
- 36:27Speaker 3: structure that comes for like thirty minutes on Tuesdays.
- 36:29Speaker 4: And like, yeah, swim teacher.
- 36:31Speaker 3: But they're called something it starts with an R, like
- 36:33Speaker 3: an R s O or something like, Oh, I said
- 36:37Speaker 3: something I.
- 36:39Speaker 5: Call thems is what I call them?
- 36:42Speaker 2: I know, paint what you're talking about exactly. Hold on
- 36:45Speaker 2: googling right now. I'm like, it's called swim teacher swim
- 36:52Speaker 2: Like are you feeling that? Because my bad swim instructor.
- 36:56Speaker 3: A specific certified swim teacher. Okay, so why do you
- 37:01Speaker 3: suspect this?
- 37:03Speaker 8: I know him really well right, Like he never volunteers
- 37:06Speaker 8: to like grill outside or help with anything when people
- 37:09Speaker 8: come over, like it's always completely up to me. But
- 37:12Speaker 8: ever since she's been teaching me swim lessons at the house,
- 37:15Speaker 8: he every Tuesday is like, oh, I'm going to make
- 37:18Speaker 8: dinner tonight, and he's out there like flipping burgers through
- 37:20Speaker 8: the whole session. And then she's leaving, and he instances
- 37:23Speaker 8: I'm walking her to her car to make sure that
- 37:25Speaker 8: she's okay, and I'm just like, since then, like he's
- 37:28Speaker 8: very chatty with her. He laughs at everything she says,
- 37:32Speaker 8: and honestly, she's not that funny. And I don't know.
- 37:37Speaker 17: He hardly manages to be outside every time that she's there.
- 37:41Speaker 8: And I don't know. Maybe I'm being insecure, but my
- 37:44Speaker 8: gut is just screaming at me. And I just don't
- 37:48Speaker 8: know why he's looking so forward to these swim lessons,
- 37:51Speaker 8: because it feels like it's just because of her and
- 37:54Speaker 8: not because our kid is learning to swim.
- 37:57Speaker 2: So disrespectfully, he does it so obvious in front of you,
- 38:00Speaker 2: so crazy to walk her out to the car. Can't
- 38:02Speaker 2: he just look out the window. I mean, I get
- 38:03Speaker 2: you want her to be safe. I'd be like, all right,
- 38:05Speaker 2: I see you later.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Okay, get into the car.
- 38:10Speaker 2: And as you guys have a really really long driveway.
- 38:12Speaker 2: But anyway, okay, what's your husband's.
- 38:14Speaker 8: Name, Lucas?
- 38:15Speaker 2: All right, We're gonna get Lucas on the phone and
- 38:17Speaker 2: see who he sends the flowers to. Does he send
- 38:19Speaker 2: him to his wife or does he send him to
- 38:21Speaker 2: his swim teacher. His son's swim teacher wore the roses
- 38:24Speaker 2: continues next with John Jay and Rich.
- 38:27Speaker 1: You're ad guessing live across the world right now.
- 38:31Speaker 6: This is the John Jay and Rich radio program.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Were in the middle of War of the Roses. You
- 38:36Speaker 2: got Ashlynn who thinks her husband Lucas is cheating on
- 38:41Speaker 2: her with their son's swim teacher. Every time she comes
- 38:44Speaker 2: over to teach a kid how to swim, he's out
- 38:46Speaker 2: there flipping burgers, walks her to a car. It's very suspicious, right,
- 38:49Speaker 2: I would agree that's suspicious.
- 38:50Speaker 5: Right now for sure.
- 38:52Speaker 4: I mean she's been with him for ten years. You
- 38:54Speaker 4: notice behavior changes.
- 38:56Speaker 2: H Okay, So Ashton, you're ready for this?
- 39:00Speaker 1: Ky?
- 39:01Speaker 2: You ready?
- 39:01Speaker 3: I'm ready.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Hello, Hi, there is Lucas available. Oh perfect, hy Lucas. So,
- 39:29Speaker 4: my name is Bella and with a new company we're
- 39:30Speaker 4: called jan R Flowers. We have this really cool social
- 39:33Speaker 4: media campaign that you've kind of been chosen for. We're
- 39:35Speaker 4: looking for micro influencers and you're probably.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Like, what, here's why this is cool for you?
- 39:39Speaker 4: So you get to send our most romantic bouquet of roses,
- 39:42Speaker 4: like a dozen long stem red roses. Comes with beautiful
- 39:45Speaker 4: filler and nice crystal vase and you get to send
- 39:48Speaker 4: that to anyone you want anywhere. It's totally free, and
- 39:50Speaker 4: what we're asking a return is that you just post
- 39:52Speaker 4: about us on whichever social media platform you use the most.
- 39:54Speaker 4: So it's kind of like a word of mouth marketing campaign.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Oh okay, cool, Yeah, it is really cool, And I'm
- 40:02Speaker 4: not going to ask you for a new credit card
- 40:03Speaker 4: information or anything like that. I will send the flowers
- 40:06Speaker 4: out with a nice little card, and I, like I said,
- 40:07Speaker 4: they're pretty romantic, but this is your chance to personalize
- 40:10Speaker 4: it depending on the nature of your relationship. So we'll
- 40:12Speaker 4: start with the message you want, and then we'll go
- 40:15Speaker 4: name address, and I'll give you a time they'll be delivered.
- 40:18Speaker 19: Here's a message. Your future husband is going to be
- 40:21Speaker 19: the luckiest guy alive. Too bad, it's not me, See
- 40:25Speaker 19: you soon, okay.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Your future husband is going to be the luckiest man alive.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Too bad, it's not me, Love Lucas okay. And then
- 40:36Speaker 4: who am I addressing this to.
- 40:38Speaker 19: It's going to go to Renee La Nae.
- 40:42Speaker 8: Wow, Oh my gosh, are you out of your damn mind?
- 40:45Speaker 8: You are literally the worst person i've ever met.
- 40:48Speaker 19: I'm sorry, what hello?
- 40:51Speaker 8: It is your wife?
- 40:52Speaker 5: A few piece of shit?
- 40:53Speaker 17: Did you really just send that to our sun swim teacher?
- 40:58Speaker 19: Well, Babeita, don't do you see me?
- 41:01Speaker 17: Are you actually kidding? Because every Tuesday you've got your
- 41:04Speaker 17: stupid little spatula out acting like you can even do
- 41:07Speaker 17: anything by yourself. Because she's in our backyard and this
- 41:09Speaker 17: is why you're sending her flowers.
- 41:12Speaker 19: Okay, no, no, no, no, that this is a misunderstanding.
- 41:16Speaker 17: It's not what you think now, misunderstanding.
- 41:18Speaker 8: Really, well, then explain the flowers to me.
- 41:20Speaker 17: Explain why you said too bad, it's not me. Explain
- 41:22Speaker 17: why you said see you soon. Explain all of that.
- 41:25Speaker 8: Go ahead, I'm listening.
- 41:27Speaker 11: It's it's a joke. It's just a joke.
- 41:30Speaker 2: We joke.
- 41:31Speaker 19: Really, I feel if our marriage is.
- 41:33Speaker 8: A joke, that's what I feel like, you.
- 41:34Speaker 17: Know, because when the married men send flowers to women
- 41:37Speaker 17: that they're joking that this makes no sense.
- 41:40Speaker 19: Okay, no, it's we just we flirt. It doesn't mean anything.
- 41:45Speaker 17: Oh you flirt, Oh, how wonderful for you? Well, who
- 41:49Speaker 17: the hell is we? Because the wei is supposed to
- 41:51Speaker 17: be you and me?
- 41:52Speaker 8: Because we are the ones that are married.
- 41:53Speaker 17: You literally have a wife standing in the house every
- 41:56Speaker 17: time you're outside, and you're trying to impress someone who's
- 41:59Speaker 17: like teaching our child to swim.
- 42:03Speaker 19: Yeah, okay, babe, nothing's happened between us.
- 42:07Speaker 21: I wow, I literally don't care that nothing's happened because
- 42:11Speaker 21: you're chasing another woman while our kid is taking swim
- 42:14Speaker 21: lessons five feet away from you.
- 42:15Speaker 17: Like, do you know how absolutely disgusting that is?
- 42:19Speaker 19: Please please calm down. We can talk about.
- 42:23Speaker 21: People, not tell me to calm down. You've embarrassed our
- 42:28Speaker 21: family every single time.
- 42:29Speaker 17: You've been making me feel crazy for noticing the way
- 42:31Speaker 17: that you looked at her, And this whole time, I was.
- 42:33Speaker 19: Right, No, no, no, no, you're blowing it out of proportion.
- 42:38Speaker 17: This is not out of proportion. Wow, okay, because you
- 42:42Speaker 17: just told another woman you wish you were her husband.
- 42:48Speaker 19: That that's not what I meant. Absolutely not.
- 42:51Speaker 8: No.
- 42:51Speaker 17: Well then what did you mean, Lucas, Because I am
- 42:53Speaker 17: really just dying to hear this explanation.
- 42:58Speaker 8: Yeah, exactly, that's what about you not come home tonight?
- 43:03Speaker 5: Hey, should you tell him that he's on the radio.
- 43:04Speaker 2: So I was about to I was about to say,
- 43:07Speaker 2: you're on the Radio, Lucas wore the roses John Jay
- 43:09Speaker 2: and Rich she thought you were cheating?
- 43:11Speaker 10: What so?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so have you you have not been intimate with her? Right?
- 43:16Speaker 2: Or have you? Oh?
- 43:18Speaker 19: Absolutely not.
- 43:19Speaker 8: No.
- 43:20Speaker 3: I don't believe him.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Well it almost doesn't even really exactly it does.
- 43:24Speaker 3: It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter.
- 43:26Speaker 2: But I do believe him. But he's crossed many, many boundaries,
- 43:29Speaker 2: like I think, I mean, to me, it seems like
- 43:31Speaker 2: the school teacher. I mean, the if the swim teacher
- 43:33Speaker 2: got a dozen red roses from him, he'd she'd proyb
- 43:36Speaker 2: be like oh my god. Yeah, that's what I think.
- 43:40Speaker 5: Yeah, this guy's basically right.
- 43:44Speaker 3: But he did say we flirt, right, and he did,
- 43:47Speaker 3: didn't he sign it like love you? That to me
- 43:49Speaker 3: tells me that there's like a relationship. He said, like
- 43:52Speaker 3: see you soon.
- 43:53Speaker 5: He's like, so, you know, it's kind of he's using
- 43:57Speaker 5: the kid, their child, Ashlyn, He's child to get browning
- 44:02Speaker 5: points with the girl he's got a crush up.
- 44:03Speaker 3: That's gross.
- 44:04Speaker 5: It is kind of gross.
- 44:04Speaker 3: And what's scary about this like the fact that, like Ashlyn,
- 44:07Speaker 3: then you're not like popping off on this man, and
- 44:09Speaker 3: like he's direct. Yeah, I'm scared for him because to
- 44:14Speaker 3: find that out, I mean, just the disrespect and I'm
- 44:18Speaker 3: so sorry that you have to deal with this.
- 44:19Speaker 2: So you said, don't You said don't come home tonight?
- 44:22Speaker 2: Are you serious? You don't want him to come home tonight?
- 44:24Speaker 2: You guys, don't talk about it? Can you do that fast?
- 44:28Speaker 3: People have like the locks? Yeah, the numbers that you press,
- 44:34Speaker 3: you can change the code. Maybe he doesn't even have
- 44:37Speaker 3: a key.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Lucas, thanks for jumpin I with us,
- 44:41Speaker 2: both of you. Thank you, all right? Sorry Ashland. That's
- 44:44Speaker 2: War of the Roses with John Jay and Rich.
- 44:46Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 44:46Speaker 1: If that last segment offended you, I am really really sorry.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Please email our management at your mom at iHeartRadio dot
- 44:54Speaker 1: your mom dot com.
- 44:56Speaker 6: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 44:58Speaker 2: We were talking off the air earlier today and for
- 45:01Speaker 2: some reason I can't remember, but the phrase cameltoe came up.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Do you remember that?
- 45:04Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we were talking about camel Back Mountain and
- 45:08Speaker 4: then you skipped to cameltoe.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, here's why I skipped the cameltoe. I forgot
- 45:13Speaker 2: to tell you guys this. I was having dinner with
- 45:15Speaker 2: some friends a week and a half ago, my wife
- 45:17Speaker 2: and I and because you know. I'm sociable. I go out,
- 45:20Speaker 2: I talk to people. But we're having dinner and and
- 45:23Speaker 2: my friend's wife was telling the story how she had
- 45:26Speaker 2: played Majan. She's playing Majan with a young influencer and
- 45:31Speaker 2: the influencer had created this scene called a cameltoe stopper,
- 45:36Speaker 2: and that it's blown up and she's making tons of money.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Have you heard of this before?
- 45:41Speaker 4: I have not, but I would feel like Chloe Kardashian
- 45:43Speaker 4: would buy in.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Right that was because she does say, yeah that she
- 45:49Speaker 3: rocks one every now and then. What is it? Is
- 45:51Speaker 3: it like just something that you put in your pants
- 45:53Speaker 3: or something?
- 45:54Speaker 2: Well that's what I thought, But I think it's like
- 45:55Speaker 2: a special underwear that you put on and then you
- 45:58Speaker 2: put your then you put your yoga pants on top
- 46:00Speaker 2: of it.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen something like that before. I don't know,
- 46:03Speaker 3: maybe it was your friend's company or whatever.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Well I would I just now try to google it,
- 46:07Speaker 2: and there's like actually a bunch of those like I thought.
- 46:10Speaker 2: I was like, oh, options, Yeah, there's lots of different
- 46:13Speaker 2: camel TOAs stopper companies. There's Kemmel Hider, there's all whatever.
- 46:16Speaker 2: And I was like, wow, that's very innovative. And then
- 46:20Speaker 2: and then Blake was like, wait a minute, you don't
- 46:23Speaker 2: wear underwear on your leggings. And this woman was like,
- 46:25Speaker 2: yes you do. And Blake's like, I don't wear underwear
- 46:27Speaker 2: in my leggings. She goes command to, Yeah, do you
- 46:29Speaker 2: guys wear underwe with your leggings?
- 46:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't go command it.
- 46:33Speaker 9: I know.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Actually a lot of people that go coming into links
- 46:36Speaker 3: because they don't want like the underwear lines or anything
- 46:38Speaker 3: like that. For me, like I can't even go commando
- 46:42Speaker 3: at any time anywhere, Like I always have to have
- 46:44Speaker 3: something on, so it's just uncomfortable. But all I mean
- 46:48Speaker 3: about leggings, I mean they're on, Like I get, I
- 46:50Speaker 3: understand why women don't wear I don't.
- 46:54Speaker 4: That's risky business right there. That is so it's very
- 46:57Speaker 4: thin material kind of.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Like what are you wearing that they're through.
- 47:02Speaker 4: Not see through. I'm just saying it's thin material. You're
- 47:06Speaker 4: gonna basically see everything.
- 47:08Speaker 2: You know.
- 47:08Speaker 4: What I'm saying feels inappropriate and it feels wrong.
- 47:12Speaker 3: And that's what and that's what it is.
- 47:14Speaker 2: And no offense.
- 47:15Speaker 4: If that's your thing, you go for it, you rocket,
- 47:18Speaker 4: But yeah, I would think for me, very uncomfortable.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Well, Blake war is underwear all the time, except when
- 47:23Speaker 2: she's wearing like those little lemon leggings or the or
- 47:26Speaker 2: the what athletic of stuff? All that. And that's how
- 47:29Speaker 2: because I think it would bother me if you were
- 47:31Speaker 2: an unwere It's like it's like when you have a
- 47:32Speaker 2: pair of pants on, a swim trunks on, and you
- 47:34Speaker 2: put underwear on over your swim trunks, like under your
- 47:36Speaker 2: sim trunks.
- 47:37Speaker 5: I can't see as far as nobody wear underwear over
- 47:39Speaker 5: their swim trunks.
- 47:40Speaker 2: You haven't. You need to get on more. I'm the
- 47:42Speaker 2: one on the beach. I'm the expert, all right, stop.
- 47:46Speaker 6: Just yelling at the radio.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Call us eight seven seven nine three seven one o
- 47:52Speaker 1: four seven eats John Jay and Ridge.
- 47:54Speaker 2: So BuzzFeed did a story and this is really relatable
- 47:57Speaker 2: on things that everyone used to think were affordable but
- 48:01Speaker 2: now they feel like a luxury. So we put it
- 48:04Speaker 2: on Facebook eight seven seven nine three seven one four seven.
- 48:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna go over this list, but we want to
- 48:09Speaker 2: hear from you. What are things that used to be
- 48:12Speaker 2: affordable but are now like a luxury? And before I
- 48:15Speaker 2: I'll go over this list, but we'll say, hey, to Brandy, Brandy,
- 48:17Speaker 2: what do you have? What? What's What's a luxury? Now
- 48:20Speaker 2: that was affordable?
- 48:22Speaker 19: I said, soda, Yeah, soda.
- 48:26Speaker 4: I would say, like just groceries.
- 48:29Speaker 5: That's a big one.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Well, it's funny because red meat is on the list
- 48:34Speaker 2: and it says the rest of the groceries are so
- 48:35Speaker 2: much money that people started cutting back on their protein too.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Thanks Brandy, Roxy, Roxy, what's what's what? Good morning? What
- 48:45Speaker 2: is a what's a what was affordable but now it's
- 48:48Speaker 2: a luxury.
- 48:49Speaker 9: But to meeting, your car was full wars, full services, but.
- 48:55Speaker 5: Like the full Yeah, they used to be like eight dollars,
- 49:00Speaker 5: eight dollars.
- 49:01Speaker 7: Rich is just taking it through and running.
- 49:03Speaker 4: The water over.
- 49:04Speaker 5: You're right, that's why I don't wash my car. I
- 49:07Speaker 5: never watch my car, and it's just frightening to me.
- 49:09Speaker 2: I never washed my car.
- 49:12Speaker 7: Dollars, It's so ridiculous.
- 49:15Speaker 2: That's a good one, Roxy, we'll put it on the list.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Thank you, Michelle.
- 49:22Speaker 13: Good morning. Yes, that a nice like latte.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Oh my car?
- 49:29Speaker 13: Yeah, four dollars and now I'm like it's up like
- 49:33Speaker 13: two more dollars, which makes a difference if you're trying
- 49:36Speaker 13: to drink it every day. Yeah, and then I went
- 49:39Speaker 13: and I even bought an espresso machine. I was like, okay,
- 49:42Speaker 13: so I'm calculating. I'm like, oh, it'll be like a
- 49:44Speaker 13: dollar a day. But now the orders instead of being
- 49:48Speaker 13: fifty dollars, they's seventy dollars for.
- 49:51Speaker 5: The pods, like to ease.
- 49:52Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, yeah, because you buy the sleeves. So I'm like, oh,
- 49:56Speaker 13: and I'm the one. My husband's like, oh, buy him.
- 49:58Speaker 13: I'm like, I, brother, you give me seventy dollars for
- 50:00Speaker 13: something else. So I'm on that instant coffee.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Hey, how much was the espresso machine?
- 50:06Speaker 13: I bought it at Costco for one eighty And I
- 50:09Speaker 13: bought it at Costco because if it ever breaks down,
- 50:12Speaker 13: you could return them. And they had mentioned that those
- 50:16Speaker 13: breakdown often, and I was so scared. I've been blessed
- 50:20Speaker 13: my machinery. Please don't break on me.
- 50:23Speaker 5: Did you get the next espresso version or a different
- 50:26Speaker 5: version of espresso?
- 50:27Speaker 20: Yeah, it's an espresso.
- 50:28Speaker 5: One like I have a really old one, and the
- 50:30Speaker 5: pods changed. They like try to get you to buy
- 50:32Speaker 5: a new machine, so I have to go. I have
- 50:35Speaker 5: to go somewhere else to buy old pods because they're
- 50:37Speaker 5: shaped totally different Yeah.
- 50:38Speaker 3: I have then espresso pods too, and you're right they
- 50:41Speaker 3: are pricey. It's like ten bucks for twelve little espresso shots.
- 50:44Speaker 3: That's price.
- 50:45Speaker 13: Well, it went up. They used to be ten bucks.
- 50:48Speaker 13: Now it's the thirteen, fourteen, even fifteen.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Oh you know, I go. So I'm new to the
- 50:55Speaker 2: coffee world and I've been stopping. I've been hitting Starbucks
- 50:58Speaker 2: here while I'm in San die and I know, because
- 51:02Speaker 2: I'm new, I don't remember the price is going up.
- 51:04Speaker 2: Because I'm still new to the price to the coffee world.
- 51:07Speaker 2: I got a coffee today with seven dollars or forty
- 51:09Speaker 2: five cents.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it sounds like a lot to me. Ye, John Jay,
- 51:12Speaker 3: you're in San Diego, like they have some like really
- 51:14Speaker 3: good coffee shops there. Why are you just going to Starbucks.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Because it's four am, well, and the normal coffee shops
- 51:21Speaker 2: aren't open it.
- 51:21Speaker 5: It doesn't open until the surfers are away to.
- 51:25Speaker 2: A heid. I do a radio morning show. But we
- 51:27Speaker 2: get up really really good.
- 51:28Speaker 3: I know, we get up really. I'm just saying, like,
- 51:30Speaker 3: I feel like you're going to Starbucks when you could
- 51:32Speaker 3: be going to some cool surfer shop.
- 51:34Speaker 13: Yeah, but I'm not going to drink coffee later and
- 51:35Speaker 13: after trying to go local, and it's even worse. Oh no, yeah,
- 51:40Speaker 13: nice coffee shop here in Gilbert and it's seven dollars
- 51:44Speaker 13: for a nice small coffee.
- 51:46Speaker 5: Small.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny, you say. I was walking. So I'm
- 51:49Speaker 2: in San Diego and yesterday I was trying to I
- 51:51Speaker 2: was walking. I want I was feeling a little into
- 51:53Speaker 2: under the weather. So I want to get a vitamin
- 51:54Speaker 2: drip and I like google vitamin drip places and I
- 51:57Speaker 2: find this one place. So I go there to get
- 51:59Speaker 2: a vitamin drip. And I walk into a place and go, Hi,
- 52:02Speaker 2: I'm here to get the dripped and go what give
- 52:03Speaker 2: an appointment? I said, yeah, you might need to go. No,
- 52:05Speaker 2: we don't have you down. And I talked to somebody
- 52:07Speaker 2: in text with somebody, Oh that's next door, Like huh.
- 52:10Speaker 2: So next door to an IV vitamin place is another
- 52:14Speaker 2: ivy vitamin place. So I go in there, then I
- 52:16Speaker 2: leave and I decide to walk down the street and
- 52:18Speaker 2: there's a coffee shop, then another coffee shop, then another
- 52:21Speaker 2: vitamin IV drip place. It's like it's a street full
- 52:24Speaker 2: of wellness and coffee. I would think that there would
- 52:27Speaker 2: be some sort of like noncompete typos.
- 52:30Speaker 5: It's crazy, and the fact that they give away the
- 52:32Speaker 5: other like come on in even though you have an
- 52:34Speaker 5: appointment next door. We'll get you in, sir. Our vitamin
- 52:37Speaker 5: drip's better. But they didn't even do that, did they.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Good? No, prop, Michelle, thanks for calling in, Tyler.
- 52:42Speaker 11: I got a couple. I'm thinking having kids for sure.
- 52:45Speaker 5: For sure.
- 52:46Speaker 11: Beyond that also, haircut, like haircuts you used to be
- 52:50Speaker 11: twenty bucks now it's one hundred.
- 52:52Speaker 5: One hundred.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Yeah, the hell kind of hair do you got? Fabio hair? What?
- 52:55Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 52:55Speaker 5: Where are you going and it's one hundred?
- 52:57Speaker 11: Well it's not the best places, I guess, yes, But
- 53:00Speaker 11: I mean, seriously, it used to be like twenty bucks.
- 53:02Speaker 20: Now you're forty eighty bucks.
- 53:04Speaker 11: If you throw a beard trimm in there.
- 53:05Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he's not wrong.
- 53:06Speaker 4: My brother was literally just talking about having to switch
- 53:08Speaker 4: barbers because he takes his two boys and himself and
- 53:11Speaker 4: he's like it got so out of control. It's like
- 53:13Speaker 4: we can't go here anymore because it's so expensive.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Well, I recommend Scott Still barber Shop twenty five dollars
- 53:18Speaker 2: for a haircut, whereas my son Dutch gost to what's
- 53:23Speaker 2: it called super cuts for nine nine dollars. Yeah, all right,
- 53:27Speaker 2: thanks man, Brian. Oh hold on, Brian's got some mouse.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well Brian, go ahead, you're on the air.
- 53:33Speaker 20: Good wurding. I was trying to think of something that
- 53:36Speaker 20: was cheap and that was the luxury. Remember back when
- 53:39Speaker 20: television was free, and now we pay prellly subscriptions.
- 53:41Speaker 5: Yeah, that's just.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Absurd, man, that's just I know, it's so sick, so sick.
- 53:45Speaker 20: Speaking of subscriptions, I binge watched that lucky show you
- 53:48Speaker 20: watched or you mentioned.
- 53:50Speaker 5: Yeah, are you all caught up?
- 53:52Speaker 2: Yes?
- 53:53Speaker 20: And then we jumped off of that one and went
- 53:55Speaker 20: to maximum pleasure guarantee and that one was wild.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I finished that.
- 54:00Speaker 2: That show pissed me off.
- 54:05Speaker 4: Watched the last episode of that yet.
- 54:07Speaker 2: The last episode ends with the kind of a lame
- 54:09Speaker 2: cliffhanger for a season two. And I don't think that
- 54:12Speaker 2: show deserves the season two. But Bran, thanks thanks calling Dog. Thanks.
- 54:16Speaker 2: So here here's some other things on this list. Here's
- 54:19Speaker 2: some things on this list that were that used to
- 54:20Speaker 2: be affordable and now they are not. Vet care it
- 54:24Speaker 2: says it's way too expensive, and pet insurance never seems
- 54:26Speaker 2: to cover it vet care. I also saw today that
- 54:29Speaker 2: CBS is starting to let they got approval to to
- 54:32Speaker 2: give your pet medicine.
- 54:34Speaker 5: Oh really, that's cool.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Yeah. By the way, speaking of pet care, you know,
- 54:39Speaker 2: my wife's launched that love Pup Plus. Check it out
- 54:42Speaker 2: love pup plus dot com and it's got all everything
- 54:44Speaker 2: you need to know about your dog.
- 54:45Speaker 5: Oh that's in the story. Are you talking about the
- 54:47Speaker 5: website or the app is ready?
- 54:49Speaker 2: The website, I don't know if the apps ready, Yeah, Larissa.
- 54:53Speaker 22: Yes, yesterdayday morning, I was in shock. Yesterday I went
- 55:00Speaker 22: to Salad and Go and I remember going there specifically
- 55:05Speaker 22: because those salads were so cheap.
- 55:06Speaker 16: They were like.
- 55:07Speaker 22: Five bucks and a year's drive by there before work
- 55:10Speaker 22: pick up a salad. They went to six dollars and
- 55:14Speaker 22: seven dollars. I haven't been there in a while, and
- 55:16Speaker 22: yesterday it was nine dollars and twenty five cents.
- 55:20Speaker 3: Oh, I'm shocked.
- 55:21Speaker 5: Lots.
- 55:22Speaker 4: Yeah, they were like shocked, and like a lemonade was
- 55:24Speaker 4: like two dollars.
- 55:25Speaker 2: What salad did you get there? I used to get
- 55:27Speaker 2: the autumn The autumn one was such a great one
- 55:29Speaker 2: in a wrap.
- 55:30Speaker 10: The Buffalo Chicken is.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good one. Was there a line because
- 55:35Speaker 2: that place used to be lying around the door. Really
- 55:37Speaker 2: it's still a line, not.
- 55:40Speaker 22: Anymore because it's nine dollars.
- 55:43Speaker 2: And you know what happened here? This is this is
- 55:45Speaker 2: my opinion, no offense to solved and go. But from
- 55:48Speaker 2: what I understand, the story was solid. Go is just
- 55:50Speaker 2: a couple of teachers and Gilbert started it and then
- 55:52Speaker 2: it took off right, and they had the best ingredients
- 55:54Speaker 2: and they sold. So now the company they sold it
- 55:57Speaker 2: to started going, well, we're going to save money and
- 55:59Speaker 2: get these cheaper tomatoes. We're gonna save money, get this
- 56:02Speaker 2: cheaper lettuce, We're gonna say, and so now it tastes different.
- 56:04Speaker 2: And then that's why they raising the price because now
- 56:06Speaker 2: people aren't like it used to be. In my opinion,
- 56:09Speaker 2: that's what my own little mathematical opinion. So no more,
- 56:14Speaker 2: all right, thanks Loris. So also, here's on this list.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Used to be used to be affordable. Now it's to
- 56:19Speaker 2: luxury concert tickets. Con that's why you need concert tickets
- 56:23Speaker 2: from us. We got free concert tickets every day we
- 56:26Speaker 2: just gave away. Kill Annie. We've got gym class heros
- 56:28Speaker 2: coming up in forty five minutes. Babysitters, they say, babysitters.
- 56:31Speaker 2: I don't know what babysitters cost a lot? Yeah, uh sneakers,
- 56:35Speaker 2: tennis shoes, think about that for a second. Tennis shoes
- 56:38Speaker 2: got crazy movie tickets?
- 56:40Speaker 5: Yep, that's for sure.
- 56:42Speaker 2: The cost of maintenance on your house. Good luck getting
- 56:45Speaker 2: anything fixed for a reasonable price. I feel that someone
- 56:48Speaker 2: said in any house, someone said in nineteen fifty five,
- 56:51Speaker 2: my parents bought their home for sixteen thousand dollars. My
- 56:53Speaker 2: father made five thousand dollars a year. Today that same
- 56:56Speaker 2: household for one point seven million.
- 56:58Speaker 3: Wow.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Smokes, yeah, Tiffany, good morning.
- 57:04Speaker 7: Mean what about gas?
- 57:07Speaker 8: Yeah, Kathleen is crazy.
- 57:10Speaker 7: I remember when I was younger, it was like ninety
- 57:13Speaker 7: nine cents a gallon.
- 57:14Speaker 5: I don't think that's coming out.
- 57:17Speaker 7: I know, I don't think it issier but long shot.
- 57:20Speaker 13: But yeah, it.
- 57:21Speaker 7: Feels like, oh no, we can't just take a quick
- 57:23Speaker 7: trip here, because I.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Was gonna say, I think just traveling anywhere, because airplane
- 57:27Speaker 5: tickets to me are like astronomical too.
- 57:29Speaker 3: It's almost as if like everything's double, Like gas is double.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Ten years ago, it took me twenty five to fill
- 57:34Speaker 3: up my gas take now it's about fifty Yeah, all
- 57:37Speaker 3: of right?
- 57:37Speaker 10: Or or what about cigarettes?
- 57:39Speaker 7: I don't smoke, but I remember back in the day
- 57:41Speaker 7: my mom would smoke, and.
- 57:43Speaker 10: Well she still does.
- 57:44Speaker 7: But packs of cigarettes are like fifteen dollars.
- 57:47Speaker 3: Now that's crazy.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Look here's a test that says what used to be
- 57:50Speaker 2: normal but as a luxury, anything in your vehicle that
- 57:52Speaker 2: isn't mandatory, a relaxing drive, taking a long route or
- 57:56Speaker 2: scenic drive, letting your car idle while waiting. All I
- 57:59Speaker 2: hear is gas money going out the window. Thanks for
- 58:03Speaker 2: calling in.
- 58:04Speaker 7: Thanks guys.
- 58:05Speaker 1: If chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Jay and Rich John, Jay and Rich, Amaya, good morning.
- 58:12Speaker 2: What's up?
- 58:14Speaker 1: Hi?
- 58:16Speaker 23: My best friend just got dumped about two weeks ago,
- 58:19Speaker 23: and I swear somehow the break up happened to all
- 58:24Speaker 23: of us. Ever since she just turned in our entire
- 58:29Speaker 23: friend group into her emotional support staff, we're expected to
- 58:34Speaker 23: be available every single night, skip date night with our
- 58:37Speaker 23: own boyfriends. Oh, stop posting like happy puplis stuff. And
- 58:42Speaker 23: apparently I'm quoting.
- 58:47Speaker 12: Online.
- 58:48Speaker 2: You cut out, you said apparently, and I'm quoting and
- 58:51Speaker 2: you cut out.
- 58:53Speaker 23: Okay, I'm apparently. I'm quoting move in silence, quote online
- 59:02Speaker 23: out of solidarity so she doesn't have to like see
- 59:07Speaker 23: anyone else thriving in their relationships. And I love her,
- 59:10Speaker 23: I do, But at what point if I allowed to
- 59:14Speaker 23: clock back out of somebody else's heartbreak? You know, like,
- 59:19Speaker 23: I need to know how how long am I required
- 59:23Speaker 23: to be like emotionally drafted in to my friend's breakup
- 59:28Speaker 23: before I can respectfully return to my own life.
- 59:31Speaker 2: I'm going to be totally honest with everybody in here.
- 59:32Speaker 2: I'm looking at you, Rich, Peyton, and Kyle. I have
- 59:34Speaker 2: no idea what she's talking about.
- 59:36Speaker 5: Oh can I summarize? Okay, So her friend broke up,
- 59:40Speaker 5: and her friend expects all of their friend group to
- 59:43Speaker 5: not post anything online that is too cheerful, especially couplely,
- 59:46Speaker 5: for a while, because she doesn't want to see any
- 59:48Speaker 5: of that no happy couple stuff. Everybody's in a happiness
- 59:52Speaker 5: embargo online.
- 59:54Speaker 4: That's our job to mute you if she doesn't want
- 59:56Speaker 4: to see it. I do think it's your job as
- 59:58Speaker 4: a friend to be there for her, just as a
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: supportive friend. I do think it's a little, i don't know,
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: ridiculous for her to ask you to stop living your life.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: But also I think you should be there for her
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: as long as she needs you to be there for
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: her in a maybe just in a different.
- 1:00:14Speaker 23: Way for her, but like I have to be able
- 1:00:16Speaker 23: to even my boyfriend's asking, like why haven't you posted
- 1:00:21Speaker 23: or date? You always post her date nights.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: What it's like the next time you hang out with her,
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: you just take her phone and like mute all your
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: friend group right right.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Because that could be a text. I mean, obviously, like
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: that breakup that she's going through, she's down bad right now,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: to be able to come to her friends and say, hey,
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: I need you guys here every single night. I need
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: you available at all times. Don't post. Obviously she's going
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: through it, but I think you can probably have that conversation.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I understand where you're coming from. I'm going to be
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: here for you. I'm not gonna be able to kind
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: of stop living my life. I don't really want to
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: do that either, But there's an option to mute us. Also,
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: we're not going to try to rub it into your
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: face because I get that when you're in a breakup
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: and all your friends are in happy, healthy relationships, that
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: can be really hard to get through.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: It's actually a good time to to detox social media.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Just don't get on. Tell her to not get on.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: It's actually a really a good point, John Jay.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: You don't want to see people being happy.
- 1:01:12Speaker 24: Yeah, she should not get on. It shouldn't be up
- 1:01:15Speaker 24: to us not post.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: What a lame friend. I would text her directly happy people.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: Why he's going through it? Those heartbreaks can be brutal.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: Like brutal, you don't have to change your whole world
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: to make her not see something you didn't to see.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: You should still be there for her always.
- 1:01:37Speaker 24: Yeah, right by her version of moving there for her
- 1:01:40Speaker 24: in completely deleting my social life.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Well, thanks for calling in, Amaya.
- 1:01:46Speaker 23: Thank you.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich broadcasting live across the world
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: right now. This is the John Jay and Rich radio program.
