- 1:53Speaker 2: again our goal for today's meditative prayer is all about
- 1:56Speaker 2: overcoming depression so just for a second let's go ahead
- 2:00Speaker 2: and hit the pause button head to your safe spot
- 2:04Speaker 2: where you can settle in and settle down and let's
- 2:07Speaker 2: begin by closing our eyes and turning our focus inward
- 2:13Speaker 2: breathe in and then breathe out quiet your thoughts and
- 2:21Speaker 2: ready your spirit to receive from God today. Again, today
- 2:25Speaker 2: we'll be meditating on Psalm chapter 40, verses 1 to
- 2:29Speaker 2: 2 from the King James Version. I waited patiently for
- 2:33Speaker 2: the Lord, and He inclined unto me, and He heard
- 2:37Speaker 2: my cry. He brought me up also out of a
- 2:40Speaker 2: horrible pit and out of the miry clay, and He
- 2:43Speaker 2: set my feet upon a rock and established my goings.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Take a moment now just to pour out your adoration
- 2:52Speaker 2: to Christ. Jesus, I praise you for you hear my
- 2:57Speaker 2: cries and you answer me. You remove me from the
- 3:01Speaker 2: pit of despair and you set my feet on solid ground.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I worship you for in your presence there is healing.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I praise you for you are merciful, gracious, and kind.
- 3:17Speaker 2: And by your love, you restore my soul And you
- 3:21Speaker 2: renew my mind. Depression can trap the soul in a deep,
- 3:27Speaker 2: deep pit. It will take away your peace, your joy,
- 3:31Speaker 2: and your desire for this life. It will remove stability
- 3:37Speaker 2: and make you feel as if you are constantly stuck.
- 3:40Speaker 2: But that is not the life God intended or created
- 3:44Speaker 2: you for. God wants to bless you and not to
- 3:48Speaker 2: harm you. He wants to give you hope in the future.
- 3:52Speaker 2: He wants to establish your plans and he wants you
- 3:55Speaker 2: to prosper. He wants to see you thriving in the
- 3:59Speaker 2: fullness of the words he has spoken over your life.
- 4:04Speaker 2: If you find yourself stuck in a pit, do not despair. Instead,
- 4:10Speaker 2: cry out to God. Confess to him your worries and
- 4:14Speaker 2: your fears and tell him of what troubles your heart
- 4:19Speaker 2: and saddens your spirit. Now take just a few minutes
- 4:24Speaker 2: to thank God for his power in your life. Thank
- 4:29Speaker 2: him for being attentive to your needs. Thank God for
- 4:33Speaker 2: rescuing you from the pit. Thank him for removing your
- 4:38Speaker 2: feet out of muddy clay and for setting you upon
- 4:41Speaker 2: a firm foundation. Thank him for his past deliverances in
- 4:47Speaker 2: your life and for the ones yet to come. Thank
- 4:51Speaker 2: Jesus for always leading you and showing you the way
- 4:55Speaker 2: and fulfilling your life with grace and the promise that
- 4:59Speaker 2: he will always be there for you. My friends, God
- 5:02Speaker 2: is present and he is listening to you. So ask
- 5:07Speaker 2: him to have mercy on you and to remove you
- 5:10Speaker 2: from the pit, to establish your feet upon a solid rock.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Ask the Holy Spirit to help you deal with depressions
- 5:19Speaker 2: And to give you the mental fortitude to persevere in patience.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Ask him to minister to your spirit and to renew
- 5:27Speaker 2: your mind in the word of God. To fill you
- 5:29Speaker 2: with hope and expectation of a good future. Remember, God
- 5:36Speaker 2: hears your pleas for help. He sees you and he
- 5:40Speaker 2: will rescue you. No matter how deep the pit may be,
- 5:44Speaker 2: God will not fail you. You can rest assured knowing
- 5:48Speaker 2: that He will never let you down. So have patience
- 5:53Speaker 2: and trust in God's Word. He will rescue your heart
- 5:57Speaker 2: and He will restore your mind. My friends, God will
- 6:00Speaker 2: establish your plans and He will give you the ability
- 6:04Speaker 2: to see them through. Thank you again for completing today's
