- 1:21SPEAKER_1: Lord, for our listening audience.

- 1:42SPEAKER_1: Lord, we pray that the people of God are blessed.
- 1:45SPEAKER_1: In Jesus' name I pray.
- 1:47SPEAKER_1: Amen.
- 1:47SPEAKER_1: Well, Reverend Tony Alexander, once again, I'm glad to be with you.
- 1:50SPEAKER_1: You can call in to the radio station there -- Radio 1 -- 317-480-1310.
- 1:56SPEAKER_1: And if you're listening here in central Indiana,
- 2:00SPEAKER_1: you're riding in your car,
- 2:01SPEAKER_1: you can go to Praise AM 1310,
- 2:03SPEAKER_1: 95.1 FM, Indy's Inspiration Station, so you can catch that as well.
- 2:13SPEAKER_1: If you happen to be traveling, we will not have our president with us on tonight.
- 2:19SPEAKER_1: Pastor Greene, he will not be able to be with us as he's traveling.
- 2:23SPEAKER_1: And he's on assignment down in Kentucky on tonight.
- 2:28SPEAKER_1: So we want to pray for his travels and all that God has for him.
- 2:33SPEAKER_1: But on tonight,
- 2:35SPEAKER_1: a couple of things that we want to talk about,
- 2:37SPEAKER_1: or at least that I have on my agenda,
- 2:39SPEAKER_1: and I invite you to feel free if you got something else you want to talk about
- 2:43SPEAKER_1: to call in or even put that in our chat.
- 2:49SPEAKER_1: First of all,
- 2:50SPEAKER_1: we certainly want to lift up the family of Lindsey Graham,
- 2:55SPEAKER_1: who was a long-term senator.
- 2:59SPEAKER_1: He actually was even, you know, with the state representatives there in South Carolina.
- 3:04SPEAKER_1: And we want to lift up his family as we've seen the last couple of days
- 3:10SPEAKER_1: that they've had some programs in honor of his life, his funeral.
- 3:18SPEAKER_1: Homegoing service and being able to allow the constituents that he served to be able
- 3:24SPEAKER_1: to honor him and show the love,
- 3:28SPEAKER_1: respect, and support for his family in his passing during this difficult time.
- 3:35SPEAKER_1: And to be able to share with the family that there were certainly folks
- 3:39SPEAKER_1: that are wanting to make sure that the family knows that they are cared for
- 3:44SPEAKER_1: and supported.
- 3:46SPEAKER_1: And I want to be clear that this goes beyond what your political beliefs are.
- 3:52SPEAKER_1: We want to make sure that we're lifting up any family.
- 3:57SPEAKER_1: Any family just going through a time of bereavement,
- 4:00SPEAKER_1: any, you know, time -- especially in this case it was a sudden loss --
- 4:05SPEAKER_1: be able to let their family know that there are people of faith,
- 4:11SPEAKER_1: that it goes beyond, you know, political parties.
- 4:12SPEAKER_1: It goes beyond, you know, who you quote-unquote vote for.
- 4:17SPEAKER_1: But you never, you know, want to see a family that has to go through the hardship
- 4:23SPEAKER_1: and understanding the grief that comes with losing a loved one.
- 4:29SPEAKER_1: So we certainly -- Concerned Clergy -- want to lift up that family.
- 4:34SPEAKER_1: And even as,
- 4:35SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 4:35SPEAKER_1: we talk about what's going on with Mitch McConnell down there in Kentucky --
- 4:40SPEAKER_1: while we may not, you know, have an understanding of what his condition is,
- 4:46SPEAKER_1: however, we don't want to see any harm, you know, that comes to him.
- 4:53SPEAKER_1: And we want to continue to hopefully, you know, pray for his healing.
- 4:58SPEAKER_1: And not only that,
- 4:59SPEAKER_1: but pray that,
- 4:59SPEAKER_1: you know, what they're telling us is actually the truth with his condition.
- 5:05SPEAKER_1: Because you have constituents that really are depending, you know, on his voice, his vote.
- 5:11SPEAKER_1: And if he's not able to lend that voice and vote,
- 5:15SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 5:16SPEAKER_1: to the constituents that voted him in,
- 5:19SPEAKER_1: then we certainly have to, you know, pray for his recovery.
- 5:23SPEAKER_1: But at the same time,
- 5:25SPEAKER_1: we have to make sure that those folks still have representation when we have
- 5:30SPEAKER_1: so many things that are potentially up in the air right now when it comes
- 5:35SPEAKER_1: to legislation.
- 5:37SPEAKER_1: But let us first certainly lift up those individuals and their families --
- 5:43SPEAKER_1: the loss of Lindsey Graham and the recovery of Mitch McConnell --
- 5:49SPEAKER_1: hoping that he is actually on the road to recovery.
- 5:54SPEAKER_1: But on tonight,
- 5:55SPEAKER_1: there's a couple,
- 5:56SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 5:56SPEAKER_1: other items that, as we,
- 5:58SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 5:58SPEAKER_1: dive deep into kind of what's going on today --
- 6:03SPEAKER_1: you know, on today -- we've seen.
- 6:07SPEAKER_1: Okay, here's what we've seen.
- 6:09SPEAKER_1: We've seen that here in Indiana,
- 6:11SPEAKER_1: there is pretty much when the temporary status for Haitians
- 6:19SPEAKER_1: that has pretty much gone away.
- 6:21SPEAKER_1: And we have here in central Indiana,
- 6:23SPEAKER_1: they're saying about 7,000 Haitians that now will not be able to work,
- 6:28SPEAKER_1: be gainfully employed.
- 6:30SPEAKER_1: What does that mean?
- 6:32SPEAKER_1: What is the impact on that here in Indiana?
- 6:37SPEAKER_1: I think that's a fair question to ask,
- 6:39SPEAKER_1: not just in Indiana,
- 6:40SPEAKER_1: but even in other places such as Ohio,
- 6:44SPEAKER_1: in which they really recruited folks that were dealing with the hostilities coming
- 6:51SPEAKER_1: from Haiti,
- 6:52SPEAKER_1: dealing with the gang violence in Haiti, dealing with the government uproar.
- 7:02SPEAKER_1: Once again, they had gangs that were coming in, fighting against the government.
- 7:09SPEAKER_1: Folks from Haiti were really fleeing for their lives.
- 7:15SPEAKER_1: And here in the United States, we found some safe haven for them.
- 7:19SPEAKER_1: We found some ways that they would be able to not just flee and get away from all of
- 7:26SPEAKER_1: the turmoil, get away from all of the violence.
- 7:31SPEAKER_1: To come to a place here in America in which they can raise a family,
- 7:36SPEAKER_1: they can build businesses,
- 7:39SPEAKER_1: they can live in safe neighborhoods, they can be embraced by a community.
- 7:47SPEAKER_1: And we've had that in several instances here in the United States in which refugees,
- 7:54SPEAKER_1: those that were fleeing violence,
- 7:56SPEAKER_1: political violence,
- 7:58SPEAKER_1: were able to come in and reestablish themselves
- 8:04SPEAKER_1: and have better lives
- 8:07SPEAKER_1: for their families.
- 8:10SPEAKER_1: But then President Trump came in and said, no, we don't want those people here.
- 8:14SPEAKER_1: We want to get away from their, you know, Temporary Protected Status.
- 8:21SPEAKER_1: We're going to do away with that.
- 8:22SPEAKER_1: And now you have those individuals,
- 8:25SPEAKER_1: those families that are now scrambling,
- 8:28SPEAKER_1: trying to figure out how are we going to make it.
- 8:33SPEAKER_1: In Indiana, Indiana is pretty much leading the nation in foreclosures.
- 8:41SPEAKER_1: How does getting rid of folks that have come in and have bought homes
- 8:46SPEAKER_1: and have mortgages and were here legally --
- 8:51SPEAKER_1: a lot of you want to talk about illegal immigrants.
- 8:55SPEAKER_1: They were here legally.
- 8:58SPEAKER_1: And then within a 30-day,
- 8:59SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 9:00SPEAKER_1: 60-day notice, you're told, you know, you got to readjust your entire life.
- 9:07SPEAKER_1: But these folks have mortgages.
- 9:10SPEAKER_1: They have jobs,
- 9:11SPEAKER_1: they have positions,
- 9:13SPEAKER_1: they have children that are enrolled in schools and in a lot of townships.
- 9:18SPEAKER_1: We're seeing schools that are beginning today, their first day of school.
- 9:25SPEAKER_1: All of that has been disrupted.
- 9:30SPEAKER_1: And we have to ask ourselves, are we really dealing with these issues with a manner of humanity?
- 9:38SPEAKER_1: Are we dealing with these issues simply because we can,
- 9:42SPEAKER_1: we have the power and we don't care about those individuals?
- 9:49SPEAKER_1: Well, I really think we need to consider and we need to ask ourselves,
- 9:52SPEAKER_1: do we really care for our brother and sister?
- 9:55SPEAKER_1: Do we really care for our neighbor?
- 9:59SPEAKER_1: Do we really care for those that have children just like we do,
- 10:02SPEAKER_1: same age,
- 10:03SPEAKER_1: going to the same schools and enduring some of the same issues and hardships?
- 10:12SPEAKER_1: Do we really care?
- 10:15SPEAKER_1: Because here it is,
- 10:17SPEAKER_1: as we are on tonight,
- 10:19SPEAKER_1: once again, we've found out that the administration here in the United States --
- 10:29SPEAKER_1: the administration here in the state of Indiana -- there is a full assault on immigrants.
- 10:40SPEAKER_1: Now, we've heard in so many cases that it's all about illegal immigrants.
- 10:48SPEAKER_1: But right now we're finding out that it's not just about illegal immigrants,
- 10:53SPEAKER_1: but they're even wanting to change the status
- 10:58SPEAKER_1: of those that have been born here in the United States.
- 11:04SPEAKER_1: And because they were born here the Constitution says that they are legal citizens,
- 11:09SPEAKER_1: this administration says we're trying to change that.
- 11:13SPEAKER_1: They're trying to change.
- 11:15SPEAKER_1: Okay.
- 11:15SPEAKER_1: We had Temporary Protected Status for folks that were fleeing countries in
- 11:19SPEAKER_1: which there was hardships and there was government uprising.
- 11:25SPEAKER_1: Well, now they want to remove those protections.
- 11:32SPEAKER_1: And I also want to get into the area of as we look into the assault on DEI --
- 11:39SPEAKER_1: diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 11:44SPEAKER_1: There is an assault not on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 11:50SPEAKER_1: There's an assault on those words.
- 11:55SPEAKER_1: But not the principle.
- 11:59SPEAKER_1: There is an assault on those people that it was supposed to help protect.
- 12:08SPEAKER_1: But once again, those principles, they pretty much have thrown out the window.
- 12:16SPEAKER_1: Many grants from this administration have been
- 12:24SPEAKER_1: pulled back
- 12:26SPEAKER_1: for the sole reason that the word diversity, equity, or inclusion was in the grant.
- 12:36SPEAKER_1: We've got many grants that were pulled back just because of the word climate.
- 12:46SPEAKER_1: With no real review of what those grants really did and what population or people
- 12:56SPEAKER_1: that it served.
- 13:01SPEAKER_1: So here we are, as we're talking about once again, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 13:09SPEAKER_1: On tonight, we,
- 13:10SPEAKER_1: once again,
- 13:11SPEAKER_1: were even made aware that the Trump administration had their hand slapped.
- 13:19SPEAKER_1: Well, let's back up.
- 13:21SPEAKER_1: They admitted in court documents.
- 13:26SPEAKER_1: They admitted this in court documents.
- 13:31SPEAKER_1: That states that were seeking disaster relief --
- 13:38SPEAKER_1: so that could be from a hurricane or
- 13:41SPEAKER_1: that can be from flooding.
- 13:43SPEAKER_1: That can be from excessive winter storms.
- 13:47SPEAKER_1: All of the things that we know that are natural disasters,
- 13:51SPEAKER_1: whether it be fires, you know, that we've seen in California.
- 13:57SPEAKER_1: The Trump administration admitted in court.
- 14:04SPEAKER_1: They admitted in court that they were withholding funds from states
- 14:13SPEAKER_1: that actually voted for the Democrat candidate in the last election.
- 14:22SPEAKER_1: So for states that did not support Donald Trump,
- 14:27SPEAKER_1: those states -- we know of Rhode Island,
- 14:31SPEAKER_1: we know of Maine, New Jersey, New York, to name a few.
- 14:40SPEAKER_1: Trump's lawyers actually went into court and said that funds were withheld
- 14:47SPEAKER_1: for disaster relief because the overall population,
- 14:54SPEAKER_1: or maybe the leaders of those states,
- 14:58SPEAKER_1: either supported Democratic candidates,
- 15:02SPEAKER_1: were led by Democrats in the states,
- 15:06SPEAKER_1: but the number one issue was they did not support Donald Trump.
- 15:13SPEAKER_1: So we've seen that.
- 15:15SPEAKER_1: We're seeing that right now.
- 15:18SPEAKER_1: Lawyers for the Trump DOJ, DHS,
- 15:23SPEAKER_1: they're going into court and they are saying that the reason we're not going
- 15:30SPEAKER_1: to release funds is because they didn't support Donald Trump.
- 15:36SPEAKER_1: They might as well say we are discriminating against states that are Democrat states.
- 15:45SPEAKER_1: And we've seen that before.
- 15:46SPEAKER_1: We've heard it before.
- 15:51SPEAKER_1: We've heard this administration saying that we're going to withhold funding
- 15:56SPEAKER_1: for your elections if you don't abide by what we want you as
- 16:03SPEAKER_1: an administration -- or an executive order -- to follow.
- 16:11SPEAKER_1: Where are you going?
- 16:13SPEAKER_1: I'm going to tie it all back to DEI.
- 16:17SPEAKER_1: DEI was pretty much torn up saying there is no discrimination.
- 16:23SPEAKER_1: Everything's fair and equal.
- 16:26SPEAKER_1: But here we have right now.
- 16:29SPEAKER_1: We have this administration admitting in court, showing the documents, that
- 16:35SPEAKER_1: no, we do discriminate and will discriminate against Democrats.
- 16:42SPEAKER_1: We'll discriminate against providing disaster relief for states.
- 16:50SPEAKER_1: Listen to this.
- 16:50SPEAKER_1: Your state could be, you know, 48% Republican.
- 16:55SPEAKER_1: And they could be 52% Democrat,
- 16:57SPEAKER_1: but because of the fact the 4%,
- 17:00SPEAKER_1: they're saying we don't care anything about the 48% Republicans.
- 17:05SPEAKER_1: Your overall state didn't vote for Trump, so we're going to kick you to the curb.
- 17:13SPEAKER_1: That is what they've said.
- 17:17SPEAKER_1: Let me put it to you in my language.
- 17:20SPEAKER_1: They're saying no,
- 17:21SPEAKER_1: if you didn't support President Trump,
- 17:26SPEAKER_1: then you're not going to get certain benefits that you should get.
- 17:31SPEAKER_1: We've seen that there are certain grants that have been withheld.
- 17:37SPEAKER_1: We're seeing that there's disaster relief that's being withheld.
- 17:45SPEAKER_1: So here's what I want people to ponder on --
- 17:51SPEAKER_1: I want you to make sure that you're saying, okay...
- 17:56SPEAKER_1: this makes sense.
- 17:59SPEAKER_1: Well, what do you mean, what makes sense?
- 18:04SPEAKER_1: If we know that an administration will discriminate against Democrats when it comes
- 18:08SPEAKER_1: to disaster relief,
- 18:11SPEAKER_1: if we know that an administration will discriminate against law firms
- 18:16SPEAKER_1: because they represent certain individuals they don't like,
- 18:21SPEAKER_1: if we know that we have an administration that would discriminate
- 18:24SPEAKER_1: against certain colleges and universities because of what they stand for --
- 18:38SPEAKER_1: and the administration is very open,
- 18:42SPEAKER_1: they're not going to support certain things --
- 18:45SPEAKER_1: but when it comes to DEI,
- 18:47SPEAKER_1: when it comes to Black businesses,
- 18:49SPEAKER_1: when it comes to minority businesses,
- 18:52SPEAKER_1: a lot of you want to pretend, oh, everything's equal.
- 18:57SPEAKER_1: Everything's, you know, it's going to be an equal playing field.
- 19:01SPEAKER_1: There is no discrimination.
- 19:05SPEAKER_1: Now, wait a minute.
- 19:07SPEAKER_1: You're wide open in saying we're discriminating against Democrats when it comes
- 19:13SPEAKER_1: to even drawing lines for territories.
- 19:22SPEAKER_1: In some of these states that are saying that Blacks are being drawn out,
- 19:28SPEAKER_1: the Democrats are being drawn out,
- 19:32SPEAKER_1: that the populations, you know, are being drawn out,
- 19:34SPEAKER_1: being unable to support the candidates of their choice --
- 19:40SPEAKER_1: so we know that's happening.
- 19:43SPEAKER_1: We know that's going on.
- 19:46SPEAKER_1: Supreme Court said it's okay.
- 19:48SPEAKER_1: Check this out.
- 19:50SPEAKER_1: The Supreme Court has said a couple of things:
- 19:53SPEAKER_1: that the president is immune pretty much for anything when he's in office.
- 20:00SPEAKER_1: And this president is very opinionated.
- 20:04SPEAKER_1: He tells you who he does like and who he doesn't like.
- 20:08SPEAKER_1: He tells you who he supports and who he's not.
- 20:13SPEAKER_1: Let's talk about DEI when it comes to the financial effect and when it comes to businesses.
- 20:23SPEAKER_1: They want to tell you they're not in support of making sure that at least we do
- 20:27SPEAKER_1: a study that shows whether or not minorities are being treated properly
- 20:34SPEAKER_1: or given opportunities as they should.
- 20:41SPEAKER_1: But here it is -- the Trump family can go and put Don Jr. or Eric on the board of a corporation.
- 20:51SPEAKER_1: Two weeks later,
- 20:52SPEAKER_1: there's an announcement that now,
- 20:55SPEAKER_1: whoever this corporation is, they're going to get this big government contract.
- 21:01SPEAKER_1: And guess who the board members are?
- 21:03SPEAKER_1: The Trumps.
- 21:06SPEAKER_1: We know now that based on disclosures on some of the trading that went on early in
- 21:13SPEAKER_1: the year, in which our president did over 3,000 trades in six months.
- 21:21SPEAKER_1: Six months.
- 21:24SPEAKER_1: Many of those trades were done when he said, okay, I'm going to make an announcement.
- 21:33SPEAKER_1: At the same time, we're going to, you know, move and we're going to shuffle things.
- 21:41SPEAKER_1: Some of the assets that we have, you know, when it comes to the stock market.
- 21:48SPEAKER_1: We're going to buy and sell based on what I know.
- 21:53SPEAKER_1: And now we see that even there is a premium that's being put on Truth Social posts,
- 22:02SPEAKER_1: simply for the sole purposes of allowing traders to have advance notice
- 22:11SPEAKER_1: on what's upcoming from the administration and announcements.
- 22:17SPEAKER_1: Or maybe even Donald Trump would want to, quote-unquote,
- 22:23SPEAKER_1: give someone advance notice on what you maybe want to invest in.
- 22:30SPEAKER_1: We have so many conflicts.
- 22:34SPEAKER_1: So much going on.
- 22:37SPEAKER_1: But yet we look at diversity, equity, inclusion,
- 22:42SPEAKER_1: and we look
- 22:45SPEAKER_1: at small minority businesses and we pretend that they have an unfair advantage.
- 22:53SPEAKER_1: Everything I just shared with you thus far really indicates who has the unfair advantage.
- 23:03SPEAKER_1: We have to go to our first commercial break.
- 23:05SPEAKER_1: If you would like to be part of the conversation, you can call in.
- 23:08SPEAKER_1: That phone number is 317-480-1310.
- 23:13SPEAKER_1: Once again, 317-480-1310.
- 23:16SPEAKER_1: You're listening to the Concerned Clergy Radio Show on Praise AM 1310,
- 23:20SPEAKER_1: 95.1 FM, Indy's Inspiration Station.
- 23:32SPEAKER_1: Welcome back to the Concerned Clergy Radio Show.
- 23:34SPEAKER_1: I'm Reverend Tony Alexander.
- 23:36SPEAKER_1: I'm glad to be with you on this evening,
- 23:39SPEAKER_1: and we've just been doing some comparison, if you will,
- 23:42SPEAKER_1: to I would say some of the issues that we see today versus --
- 23:49SPEAKER_1: or excuse me --
- 23:50when we're talking about,
- 23:51you know, DEI in comparison with what this administration's really doing
- 23:58SPEAKER_1: and what Indiana's really doing.
- 24:00SPEAKER_1: And we invite you to be part of the conversation, and you can do that
- 24:04SPEAKER_1: by calling into the radio station.
- 24:06SPEAKER_1: That number is 317-480-1310.
- 24:10SPEAKER_1: Once again, 317-480-1310.
- 24:12SPEAKER_1: Or you can comment also on our Facebook page, the Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis.
- 24:17SPEAKER_1: Now, I want to kind of, you know, throw this out.
- 24:20SPEAKER_1: You know, we've got this deal about mail-in voting.
- 24:26SPEAKER_1: We have where the president has continued to speak out against mail-in voting.
- 24:33SPEAKER_1: But here's what's very interesting when we really look at this whole mail-in voting issue.
- 24:39SPEAKER_1: The president himself -- that's how he votes.
- 24:43SPEAKER_1: He votes via mail-in voting.
- 24:47SPEAKER_1: And while we haven't looked at the records when it comes to his family,
- 24:51SPEAKER_1: I'd have to guess that the majority of
- 24:53SPEAKER_1: the Trump family also votes via mail-in voting.
- 24:58SPEAKER_1: I don't see Ivanka Trump or Jared -- or any of the other Trumps,
- 25:03SPEAKER_1: whether it be Eric or Don Jr. -- do you see them standing in line?
- 25:11SPEAKER_1: You see them standing in line at any voting place?
- 25:16SPEAKER_1: Probably not.
- 25:18SPEAKER_1: Matter of fact, do you think they've ever stood in line at any voting place?
- 25:24SPEAKER_1: But here it is.
- 25:25SPEAKER_1: Trump wants to make, you know, make it so difficult for all of us to vote,
- 25:30SPEAKER_1: saying that the only way you can trust it -- check this out, y'all --
- 25:34SPEAKER_1: the only way you can trust it is if it goes through the U.S. mail
- 25:39SPEAKER_1: and it's delivered by the day of the election and it's counted on election day.
- 25:46SPEAKER_1: That's what he said.
- 25:50SPEAKER_1: And he's also said that what he's trying to do via executive order is say that
- 25:56SPEAKER_1: the U.S. Post Office should be able to screen your mail.
- 26:02SPEAKER_1: That means go through your bills,
- 26:05SPEAKER_1: go through your mail,
- 26:07SPEAKER_1: your letters,
- 26:08SPEAKER_1: your cards,
- 26:09SPEAKER_1: look through and see if you got a mail-in ballot and let the post office determine
- 26:16SPEAKER_1: whether or not you should receive that mail-in ballot.
- 26:21SPEAKER_1: Now, check this out.
- 26:22SPEAKER_1: We're talking about a post office that is pretty much underwater.
- 26:27SPEAKER_1: We're talking about a post office that is continually raising prices
- 26:32SPEAKER_1: but giving you less of a service.
- 26:35SPEAKER_1: We're talking about a post office that in a lot of times,
- 26:39SPEAKER_1: you know, you just got folks that are just trying to get by.
- 26:44SPEAKER_1: And the administration is threatening -- okay, you're the one.
- 26:49SPEAKER_1: You know,
- 26:49SPEAKER_1: you are the mail carrier that's got the satchel on your back and you're walking
- 26:54SPEAKER_1: through the neighborhood and you're dealing with dogs on the porch.
- 26:58SPEAKER_1: This administration actually said that we're going to sign an executive order
- 27:02SPEAKER_1: where you're going to be the one that's responsible to make sure that whoever asked
- 27:07SPEAKER_1: for a mail-in ballot,
- 27:08SPEAKER_1: either that ballot counts or not, or whether you even get to receive that ballot.
- 27:13SPEAKER_1: That's what they're saying.
- 27:16SPEAKER_1: That's what they're doing.
- 27:21SPEAKER_1: But here it is.
- 27:22SPEAKER_1: They're telling you to do something different than what they would do.
- 27:28SPEAKER_1: Because they're not waiting in line, rather, to go vote.
- 27:39SPEAKER_1: But they want to do everything that they can to stop you from voting.
- 27:43SPEAKER_1: But they're saying that the U.S.
- 27:45SPEAKER_1: Postal Service should be the one in control.
- 27:50SPEAKER_1: So all of a sudden, they got a lot of trust in the Postal Service.
- 27:55SPEAKER_1: And they say, we can't trust electronic means of voting.
- 28:01SPEAKER_1: Well, why is it they can trust electronic means of making money?
- 28:08SPEAKER_1: They can trust electronic means of cryptocurrency when it's lying in their bank accounts.
- 28:16SPEAKER_1: They can trust Bitcoin.
- 28:20SPEAKER_1: When it's all electronic.
- 28:24SPEAKER_1: They can trust electronic transfers.
- 28:29SPEAKER_1: They can trust their money when it comes to the stock market and going online
- 28:34SPEAKER_1: and making, you know, whatever trade or whatever you're going to do online.
- 28:43SPEAKER_1: But when it comes to a simple thing --
- 28:45SPEAKER_1: and this is something, once again, Trump did over 3,000 times --
- 28:50SPEAKER_1: ladies
- 28:53SPEAKER_1: and gents, we only vote once or twice in any year.
- 28:59SPEAKER_1: So he can trust over 3,000 times in all of these transactions dealing with his money.
- 29:07SPEAKER_1: Because I guarantee you,
- 29:08SPEAKER_1: they're not walking into the bank making sure they got a hard-written check.
- 29:12SPEAKER_1: They're not mailing something through the post office to the bank or to
- 29:16SPEAKER_1: the financial institution.
- 29:19SPEAKER_1: But they're telling you they can trust the system when it comes to financial transactions.
- 29:29SPEAKER_1: Electronic is fine.
- 29:32SPEAKER_1: But no, we can't have anything in regards to electronic voting.
- 29:39SPEAKER_1: That tells you that it's not about security, because I guarantee you
- 29:46SPEAKER_1: if they really cared about security,
- 29:48SPEAKER_1: they care about the security of their money first.
- 29:52SPEAKER_1: It's not about security, but it's about control.
- 30:00SPEAKER_1: Tell yourself -- or ask yourself --
- 30:04SPEAKER_1: how many times are we seeing anybody related to a Trump walking in, using the mail?
- 30:14SPEAKER_1: As a matter of fact, do you think any of the Trumps even go to the mailbox?
- 30:21SPEAKER_1: I guarantee you, everything that they're doing, they're doing electronically.
- 30:26SPEAKER_1: They're doing over the internet.
- 30:29SPEAKER_1: They're doing it in a place in which they feel secure that their dollars are.
- 30:35SPEAKER_1: But they want you to believe that when it comes to voting,
- 30:40SPEAKER_1: it ain't safe, where you can't trust it.
- 30:45SPEAKER_1: And y'all falling into that trap.
- 30:52SPEAKER_1: Some of these things are actually just common sense.
- 30:59SPEAKER_1: But too often you fall into the trap of, well, here's the spin.
- 31:05SPEAKER_1: Here's what they're telling me.
- 31:07SPEAKER_1: And you don't look at it from a wider lens.
- 31:13SPEAKER_1: You know, it's kind of like we have so many one-offs of what maybe this is -- what has happened.
- 31:22SPEAKER_1: This is what someone's, you know,
- 31:24SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 31:24SPEAKER_1: whether it be the Trump administration,
- 31:27SPEAKER_1: all these different boards that the Trump boys are on,
- 31:31SPEAKER_1: all the money that Trump's getting from his golf courses,
- 31:36SPEAKER_1: how he was charging the government, making sure that they stayed at his hotels.
- 31:48SPEAKER_1: So many things are so right there out in the open.
- 31:54SPEAKER_1: I need a Trump supporter to explain to me why is it you accept that.
- 32:02SPEAKER_1: So I'm going to give you a chance.
- 32:04SPEAKER_1: Feel free to call in.
- 32:05SPEAKER_1: 317-480-1310.
- 32:08SPEAKER_1: We also have Greg Bovino.
- 32:11SPEAKER_1: He's coming in town.
- 32:13SPEAKER_1: What?
- 32:14SPEAKER_1: Yeah, he's coming right here in central Indiana in Fishers.
- 32:18SPEAKER_1: To have and be a speaker at a mass deportation rally.
- 32:25SPEAKER_1: What's that about?
- 32:28SPEAKER_1: We'll talk about that on the other side of our break.
- 32:31SPEAKER_1: Once again, feel free to call in: 317-480-1310.
- 32:34SPEAKER_1: You're listening to the Concerned Clergy Radio Show
- 32:37SPEAKER_1: on Praise AM 1310, 95.1 FM, Indy's Inspiration Station.
- 32:46SPEAKER_1: Welcome back to the Concerned Clergy Radio Show.
- 32:48SPEAKER_1: I'm Reverend Tony Alexander.
- 32:51SPEAKER_1: I'm your host on this evening, and I'm glad to be with you.
- 32:54SPEAKER_1: I'm glad that all of you have joined us.
- 32:57SPEAKER_1: And we invite you to be part of our conversation on tonight.
- 33:00SPEAKER_1: Feel free to call into the radio station.
- 33:02SPEAKER_1: That phone number is 317-480-1310.
- 33:06SPEAKER_1: Once again, 317-480-1310.
- 33:09SPEAKER_1: Or you can also
- 33:11SPEAKER_1: comment on our Facebook page, the Concerned Clergy of
- 33:14SPEAKER_1: Indianapolis also.
- 33:16SPEAKER_1: Well, we've been talking about on tonight,
- 33:19SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 33:19SPEAKER_1: the fact that there's some -- I'll say -- when you look at, okay,
- 33:25SPEAKER_1: what this administration is,
- 33:27SPEAKER_1: quote-unquote,
- 33:27SPEAKER_1: calling for versus really what the issues are --
- 33:32SPEAKER_1: where we're seeing hypocrisy in all of that.
- 33:36SPEAKER_1: But I also want to transition a little bit.
- 33:39SPEAKER_1: This Saturday,
- 33:41SPEAKER_1: we have our former Border Patrol leader, Greg Bovino.
- 33:49SPEAKER_1: He's coming in and he's coming into central Indiana in Fishers.
- 33:54SPEAKER_1: And he's going to be leading what is called a mass deportation rally.
- 34:01SPEAKER_1: So up here in Fishers now, let me help remind folks that we do have ICE in northern Indiana.
- 34:12SPEAKER_1: We also have ICE that is up in Hamilton County.
- 34:17SPEAKER_1: I can't recall if it's up,
- 34:19SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 34:19SPEAKER_1: actually in Fishers, Carmel --
- 34:22SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 34:24SPEAKER_1: at this point,
- 34:24SPEAKER_1: I can't recall --
- 34:25SPEAKER_1: but we do know that ICE has set up a quote-unquote headquarters here
- 34:32SPEAKER_1: for central Indiana.
- 34:35SPEAKER_1: And here it is that we have a former Border control leader.
- 34:43SPEAKER_1: He was the one that was in Minneapolis,
- 34:47SPEAKER_1: Minnesota, when we had some of the ICE shootings there of protesters.
- 34:55SPEAKER_1: He was the one that was the messenger, actually presenting false messages that
- 35:05SPEAKER_1: the protesters were attacking ICE officers.
- 35:09SPEAKER_1: And then you found Mr. Bovino --
- 35:11SPEAKER_1: he was, you know, all of a sudden shipped out to California on a different assignment.
- 35:19SPEAKER_1: So now we have Greg Bovino.
- 35:23SPEAKER_1: He's coming in town once again in Fishers for August the 1st.
- 35:28SPEAKER_1: And he's calling this -- or the organizers have called this -- a mass deportation rally.
- 35:37SPEAKER_1: And they're even charging for it.
- 35:40SPEAKER_1: So if you want to, you know, if you want to go see Mr. Bovino, you got to pay $50.
- 35:46SPEAKER_1: Okay.
- 35:48SPEAKER_1: And there's also a private dinner at $500 that you can go and attend.
- 35:55SPEAKER_1: But in addition to that,
- 35:57SPEAKER_1: there's also some protesters that are going to say we're not just accepting Mr.
- 36:01SPEAKER_1: Bovino coming into our community and spouting some of the things
- 36:07SPEAKER_1: that we've already seen him spout.
- 36:11SPEAKER_1: So he's coming in on Saturday.
- 36:13SPEAKER_1: And the question is, well, why?
- 36:16SPEAKER_1: What's your intentions?
- 36:17SPEAKER_1: Are you coming,
- 36:18SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 36:18SPEAKER_1: just to set the platform and the stage -- that now we're getting ready to see some of
- 36:22SPEAKER_1: the things we've seen in Minneapolis,
- 36:25SPEAKER_1: we've seen in Maine,
- 36:26SPEAKER_1: we've seen in some of the other cities here in the United States --
- 36:29SPEAKER_1: where ICE is coming in and they're harassing our residents and our community.
- 36:33SPEAKER_1: Is that what this is about?
- 36:37SPEAKER_1: Folks, we certainly can't let that happen.
- 36:42SPEAKER_1: If you want to be part of the conversation, feel free to call in: 317-480-1310.
- 36:47SPEAKER_1: We do have a caller on the line.
- 36:49SPEAKER_1: Let's bring in Tony.
- 36:52SPEAKER_1: Good evening.
- 36:52SPEAKER_1: How are you?
- 36:53SPEAKER_1: Praise the Lord.
- 36:54SPEAKER_1: Good evening, Tony.
- 36:55SPEAKER_2: Praise the Lord.
- 36:56SPEAKER_2: Listen, I've been noticing a trend with this POTUS.
- 37:02SPEAKER_2: It seems like whenever you protest or disagree with his policy or something he said,
- 37:10SPEAKER_2: then you're labeled as a communist.
- 37:12SPEAKER_2: I don't know if you've noticed that or not, but that's what's been trending from this president.
- 37:21SPEAKER_2: Socialism as well is getting a negative connotation attached to what I've noticed as well.
- 37:29SPEAKER_2: Those two labels, communist and socialist, shouldn't be negative.
- 37:38SPEAKER_2: My viewpoint of that is it's just a way of thinking.
- 37:41SPEAKER_2: It's not a political stance.
- 37:43SPEAKER_2: And I was just wondering if you noticed that trending with this president or not.
- 37:50SPEAKER_1: Well, let me say this, Tony, because here's the real issue.
- 37:53SPEAKER_1: The real issue is we're being labeled and we have to get away from the labels,
- 38:00SPEAKER_1: especially socialists and communists.
- 38:04SPEAKER_1: Capitalists --
- 38:06SPEAKER_1: because what they're doing is,
- 38:10SPEAKER_1: even in the Democrat Party as we look at it,
- 38:12SPEAKER_1: right now the Democrat Party is going to be split,
- 38:15SPEAKER_1: as we're looking at it now, between Democrats and Democratic Socialists.
- 38:19SPEAKER_1: And most folks don't even know what is a socialist and what the Republicans will do.
- 38:25SPEAKER_1: They will brand you a certain label and then let you live with that label,
- 38:33SPEAKER_1: and nobody even knows what that label means, because the majority
- 38:37SPEAKER_1: of people can't even identify what in the world is a socialist.
- 38:41SPEAKER_1: It's hard enough for me to identify if I'm Democrat or Republican or Libertarian or Independent.
- 38:49SPEAKER_1: Now you're giving me all of these factions within the parties.
- 38:54Now we do know -- Republican Party -- you're either MAGA or you're Republican,
- 38:59and it's either or.
- 39:01SPEAKER_1: So you're either, you know, with Trump or you're not.
- 39:04SPEAKER_1: Most folks have said, I'm going to fall in line.
- 39:05SPEAKER_1: I'm going to be with Trump, whatever.
- 39:07SPEAKER_1: But when it comes to Democrats,
- 39:09SPEAKER_1: Democrats are now fighting over, am I Democrat or am I Democratic Socialist?
- 39:13SPEAKER_1: Or am I something else?
- 39:14SPEAKER_1: And that is dividing and it's causing issues when it comes to the fact that we stand
- 39:21SPEAKER_1: for some of the same things.
- 39:23SPEAKER_1: But because we're allowing labels to identify us,
- 39:27SPEAKER_1: then that's separating us, if that makes sense.
- 39:32SPEAKER_2: Yeah, you couldn't be more correct.
- 39:34SPEAKER_2: And I believe that some on the right,
- 39:38SPEAKER_2: they smell blood in the water and they have pounced on that, because within
- 39:43SPEAKER_2: the Democrat Party you have a fight between progressives, far liberals, centrists.
- 39:52SPEAKER_2: I mean, you're right.
- 39:54SPEAKER_2: We should label ourselves.
- 39:56SPEAKER_2: We're either Democrat, Republican, or independent.
- 40:01SPEAKER_2: And I just hope it doesn't cause a big enough rift in the water for the midterm elections.
- 40:10SPEAKER_2: That's my prayer.
- 40:11SPEAKER_1: All right.
- 40:11SPEAKER_1: Well, I appreciate your comment.
- 40:12SPEAKER_1: Thanks, Tony.
- 40:13SPEAKER_1: And continue to listen and call in.
- 40:15SPEAKER_1: I think this brother,
- 40:17SPEAKER_1: he really hit on something that is probably
- 40:25SPEAKER_1: more important than anything
- 40:26SPEAKER_1: that we've really been talking about.
- 40:29SPEAKER_1: And that's just keeping a Democrat Party together and not falling into,
- 40:34SPEAKER_1: you know, am I a fraction of a Democrat Party?
- 40:37SPEAKER_1: Or can I just say I'm part of the Democrat Party for the overall good of the party,
- 40:43SPEAKER_1: the platform, and the people?
- 40:45SPEAKER_1: Because one thing we found -- let's be real, folks.
- 40:49SPEAKER_1: Whether we call them Republican or MAGA, they all fall in line.
- 40:55SPEAKER_1: They all fall in line.
- 40:58SPEAKER_1: I mean, you look at every piece of legislation.
- 41:02SPEAKER_1: They all fall in line.
- 41:05SPEAKER_1: Democrats will really look at an issue.
- 41:08SPEAKER_1: And, you know, I'm not going to say this is 100 percent.
- 41:12SPEAKER_1: Generally speaking,
- 41:13SPEAKER_1: Democrats will really look at an issue and say,
- 41:16SPEAKER_1: is this important to me or is this important to my constituents?
- 41:19SPEAKER_1: Do I support it or not?
- 41:21SPEAKER_1: And I'm going to fight against my fellow Democrats and I'm going to fight with them,
- 41:25SPEAKER_1: you know, in open, in public.
- 41:29SPEAKER_1: And I'm going to tell them, you know, I don't support that.
- 41:32SPEAKER_1: You got Democrats right now saying, okay, well, you're a socialist.
- 41:35SPEAKER_1: Well, I ain't going to support that.
- 41:37SPEAKER_1: Democrats right now in public -- hey, you're a progressive.
- 41:39SPEAKER_1: I ain't going to support that.
- 41:42SPEAKER_1: All that is -- well, why ain't going to support that?
- 41:45SPEAKER_1: So you have all these different, you know, factions and fractures in the Democrat Party.
- 41:53SPEAKER_1: You don't hear any of that when it comes to the Republican Party.
- 41:59SPEAKER_1: The only thing you ever hear --
- 42:01SPEAKER_1: oh, well, behind closed doors, we hear this Republican saying this and that.
- 42:08SPEAKER_1: Off the record, we hear this Republican saying this or that.
- 42:15SPEAKER_1: Well, when we couldn't, you know, record it, here's what they're saying.
- 42:22SPEAKER_1: But then when it comes to voting,
- 42:25SPEAKER_1: when it comes to public comments,
- 42:28SPEAKER_1: when it comes to their press releases, they are all singing the same song.
- 42:37SPEAKER_1: They're toeing the same line.
- 42:39SPEAKER_1: And there's no difference.
- 42:42SPEAKER_1: And the thing is,
- 42:42SPEAKER_1: the only ones that will deviate --
- 42:45SPEAKER_1: and we've seen this over the last 10 years --
- 42:48SPEAKER_1: the only ones that deviate are the ones that have decided I'm either going to resign
- 42:54SPEAKER_1: from Congress
- 42:58SPEAKER_1: or Trump's primaryed me and now I'm out.
- 43:03SPEAKER_1: Other than that, you're nothing.
- 43:08SPEAKER_1: And even then,
- 43:09SPEAKER_1: with some of those that are facing the potential -- well,
- 43:12SPEAKER_1: matter of fact,
- 43:13SPEAKER_1: those that have already lost their primaries and know they're not going to be back --
- 43:19SPEAKER_1: many of them are still pretty much out in public.
- 43:26SPEAKER_1: Okay, we're --
- 43:29SPEAKER_1: oh, what's the word?
- 43:30SPEAKER_1: I'm concerned about some of these decisions.
- 43:35SPEAKER_1: Or I want to make sure that I'm being heard before I vote on the SAVE Act.
- 43:43SPEAKER_1: Or I need to make sure that at least they talk to the survivors of the Epstein scandal.
- 43:52SPEAKER_1: But there's no substance to anything and there's no hard lines when it really comes
- 43:58SPEAKER_1: to any substance as well.
- 44:06SPEAKER_1: That's what we're dealing with.
- 44:08SPEAKER_1: That is what's really going on.
- 44:13SPEAKER_1: That's really happening.
- 44:19SPEAKER_1: When we talk about discrimination,
- 44:24SPEAKER_1: and then we talk about what's going on with DEI --
- 44:30SPEAKER_1: we should be able to see that this administration,
- 44:32SPEAKER_1: whether it's federal or even if it's here in the state of Indiana,
- 44:38SPEAKER_1: there is discrimination.
- 44:40SPEAKER_1: There's open discrimination.
- 44:44SPEAKER_1: Lawyers are going into courtrooms and saying,
- 44:49SPEAKER_1: we are not going to give disaster relief to a state
- 44:55SPEAKER_1: that didn't support Donald Trump.
- 44:59SPEAKER_1: So they're saying, we don't care about all the Republicans in that state.
- 45:04SPEAKER_1: Because overall, we're not going to even help you rebuild.
- 45:10SPEAKER_1: We're not going to help you with disaster relief.
- 45:15SPEAKER_1: Your people are going to have to suffer.
- 45:20SPEAKER_1: That tells you, this administration does not care about you.
- 45:30SPEAKER_1: We want to call ourselves a Christian nation.
- 45:37SPEAKER_1: Is that what Jesus would do?
- 45:41SPEAKER_1: Because guess what?
- 45:43SPEAKER_1: When we have natural disasters,
- 45:46SPEAKER_1: whether it be a hurricane,
- 45:49SPEAKER_1: whether it be a tornado,
- 45:52SPEAKER_1: whether it be effects of flooding and rain,
- 45:55SPEAKER_1: whether it be a snowstorm,
- 45:57SPEAKER_1: whether it be, you know, some of the wildfires that we've seen --
- 46:02SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 46:03SPEAKER_1: when those wildfires,
- 46:04SPEAKER_1: when those hurricanes come,
- 46:06SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 46:06SPEAKER_1: come through,
- 46:08SPEAKER_1: you know,
- 46:09SPEAKER_1: they're not ducking and dodging like some video game or some Pac-Man game
- 46:15SPEAKER_1: and only, you know, going to Republican -- eating up Republicans or Democrats.
- 46:20SPEAKER_1: No, everybody in that path is being affected.
- 46:28SPEAKER_1: But the decision from administration is like, no, y'all should have all supported me.
- 46:37SPEAKER_1: And because you didn't, I'm not going to give you any money.
- 46:42SPEAKER_1: That's court records, people.
- 46:46SPEAKER_1: That's the lawyers going in and saying that.
- 46:50SPEAKER_1: And we know it.
- 46:52SPEAKER_1: We see it.
- 46:54SPEAKER_1: It's public record.
- 46:57SPEAKER_1: So if we know that they're discriminating on entire states based on what
- 47:04SPEAKER_1: the overall popular vote was,
- 47:08SPEAKER_1: and I'm bringing it back to DEI,
- 47:12SPEAKER_1: what makes you think they're not going to discriminate against Black people
- 47:15SPEAKER_1: that are just trying to survive and build a business?
- 47:21SPEAKER_1: Of course they are.
- 47:28SPEAKER_1: It's really that simple.
- 47:31SPEAKER_1: So all you folks that are out there saying that, well,
- 47:34SPEAKER_1: we don't need to worry about, you know, civil rights because everything's equal now --
- 47:40SPEAKER_1: let's look at the present-day court records.
- 47:44SPEAKER_1: And we can see time and time, over and over again, what this administration has admitted.
- 47:53SPEAKER_1: That we're doing things only because we're going against Democrats.
- 48:01SPEAKER_1: We're withholding funds because this state didn't support this president.
- 48:10SPEAKER_1: When we look at all of the laws,
- 48:13SPEAKER_1: when it came to the territorial boundaries and all these different states
- 48:20SPEAKER_1: that were looking to redistrict,
- 48:24SPEAKER_1: Supreme Court came out and said,
- 48:26SPEAKER_1: hey, it's okay to redistrict if you're doing it based on political lines.
- 48:31SPEAKER_1: So you can discriminate, in other words, based on if they're Democrats or Republicans.
- 48:37SPEAKER_1: That's what the Supreme Court said.
- 48:40SPEAKER_1: They say, yeah, you can draw lines based on political party.
- 48:46SPEAKER_1: They're saying you can discriminate based on political party.
- 48:53SPEAKER_1: So if they're telling you we can discriminate against political party,
- 48:57SPEAKER_1: if they're telling you we can withhold funds because of political party,
- 49:02SPEAKER_1: if they're telling you that we're going to withhold grants because they had
- 49:06SPEAKER_1: the words either diversity, equity,
- 49:09SPEAKER_1: or inclusion,
- 49:12SPEAKER_1: they're telling you that we're withholding funds just because somebody put
- 49:17SPEAKER_1: in their grant the word climate --
- 49:21SPEAKER_1: that tells you discrimination is still alive.
- 49:29SPEAKER_1: It's not just living and breathing.
- 49:32SPEAKER_1: Discrimination is rising and it's thriving.
- 49:38SPEAKER_1: Here in 2026.
- 49:43SPEAKER_1: You thought we had a fight back in the '60s.
- 49:47SPEAKER_1: I would tell you right now.
- 49:49SPEAKER_1: The fight is even greater.
- 49:52SPEAKER_1: Because too many of you have accepted the fact that there is no discrimination.
- 50:02SPEAKER_1: While in our courts,
- 50:04SPEAKER_1: we have the top of the government saying, yes, we're discriminating against folks.
- 50:11SPEAKER_1: And here's why.
- 50:13SPEAKER_1: And we have the Supreme Court saying it's okay to discriminate.
- 50:19SPEAKER_1: Saying it's okay to pull folks over because of the color of their skin.
- 50:23SPEAKER_1: Without knowing if they have any warrants.
- 50:27SPEAKER_1: Without knowing where they're from.
- 50:30SPEAKER_1: Where they can look like me, speak perfect English.
- 50:33SPEAKER_1: Or look like me and have no English.
- 50:35SPEAKER_1: But because they look like me, that's a right to pull them over.
- 50:40SPEAKER_1: Tell me, there ain't no discrimination.
- 50:45SPEAKER_1: There's not a need
- 50:47SPEAKER_1: to make sure that there is diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- 50:52SPEAKER_1: We brought it all back, y'all.
- 50:57SPEAKER_1: That's the end of our show.
- 51:00SPEAKER_1: We certainly want to make sure that as we look
- 51:03SPEAKER_1: at this rally that's coming up this weekend with Greg Bovino coming in,
- 51:09SPEAKER_1: there's also going to be some folks that are saying, no,
- 51:11SPEAKER_1: we're not just going to let you come in and you're not going to change
- 51:14SPEAKER_1: and transform our community.
- 51:17SPEAKER_1: But whatever we do,
- 51:19SPEAKER_1: if we protest against that,
- 51:20SPEAKER_1: if we stand up against that, we want to do it in a safe manner, in a civil manner.
- 51:27SPEAKER_1: So let's do that.
- 51:29SPEAKER_1: But I do encourage,
- 51:30SPEAKER_1: especially you folks up in Fishers,
- 51:32SPEAKER_1: Noblesville, Carmel -- where you think you're exempt from all of this -- stand up.
- 51:40SPEAKER_1: We need you.
- 51:41SPEAKER_1: All right, everybody, that's the end of our show.
- 51:43SPEAKER_1: We do invite you once again to catch the replay.
- 51:46SPEAKER_1: And that is our Substack on the Progressive Indiana Network.
- 51:50SPEAKER_1: And that'll be on tomorrow morning on Thursday.
- 51:54SPEAKER_1: Everyone enjoy your evening and have a good night.
- 51:59SPEAKER_1: Be blessed.
