- 0:00Chapter 50 from the book of Isaiah.
- 0:03Let's first pray. Dear God, please give us wisdom
- 0:06and insight and application to our own lives as we read through
- 0:10the scripture in Jesus name, Amen.
- 0:14This is what the Lord says. Where is your mother's
- 0:18certificate of divorce with which I sent her away, or to
- 0:24which of my creditors did I sell you?
- 0:27Because of your sins, you were sold.
- 0:31Because of your transgressions, your mother was sent away.
- 0:36So there's a lot right there about the certificate of divorce
- 0:41being sent away. And this is, I'm going to read
- 0:47what the study Bible says here. What was a certificate of
- 0:50divorce? The law of Moses allowed a man
- 0:54to divorce his wife by writing out a certificate, and that's
- 0:58found in Deuteronomy chapter 24 and also Matthew 19.
- 1:04A divorce was irrevocable according to Deuteronomy 24
- 1:10verse four, and according to Jeremiah 3 verse 8, God gave the
- 1:16northern Kingdom of Israel her certificate of divorce.
- 1:21Now the study Bible says something that I don't know that
- 1:25I necessarily completely agree with.
- 1:27It says the study Bible says God was explaining that there was no
- 1:31certificate since Judah had initiated the break in covenant
- 1:36with him and thus his separation from his people in exile could
- 1:41be rescinded. But this is OK.
- 1:48So maybe I really needed to. I should have done this before I
- 1:53started this podcast, but now all of a sudden it's coming to
- 1:55mind and it's something I should have checked on this, the actual
- 1:59Hebrew words, because divorce certificate of divorce and being
- 2:03put away have different meaning. And I learned this from somebody
- 2:06in Israel. And our study Bibles do mess
- 2:12this up with translation, not study Bibles, but different
- 2:18translations of the Bible mess it up because due to translation
- 2:24and they call being put away the same as being divorced and they
- 2:29aren't the same. Being put away is like for
- 2:33America, it's like being separated.
- 2:35You're not legally divorced, being receiving the certificate
- 2:41of divorce, you are legally divorced.
- 2:45So there's a difference. And so I want to read this
- 2:48because our Bible translations don't distinguish between this,
- 2:54not all, maybe some do, but not the NIV that I'm reading.
- 3:00So I want to find out where that was.
- 3:04Again, your mother was sent away.
- 3:06So that is in actually the first verse.
- 3:09So I want to go to the tools box in the blue letter Bible and it
- 3:14says where is your certificate of divorce?
- 3:17So it says like seeper carrot to those are the Hebrew words.
- 3:22And I haven't read this in advance, so I know I'm probably
- 3:29OK. So this is what it says, says
- 3:31thus says the Lord. Where is the certificate of
- 3:34divorce by which I have sent your mother away?
- 3:39To whom of my creditors did I sell you?
- 3:42Behold, you were sold for your iniquities and for your
- 3:46transgressions. Your mother was sent away.
- 3:50So sent away in here. It just.
- 3:53Yeah, it says put away is what this means.
- 3:56So that's different. That is like being separated
- 4:02from your husband versus being divorced from your husband.
- 4:07So that's the last. The last word is about because
- 4:11of your transgressions, your mother was put away or was
- 4:15separated. Like where is your mother's
- 4:20certificate of divorce with which I sent her away?
- 4:24It's like I have to read that a few times to really comprehend
- 4:27what it's saying because he definitely says there's a
- 4:32certificate of a divorce and which I have sent your mother
- 4:39away. So that is, yeah, that's
- 4:44referring to, yeah. Where is it?
- 4:47I just basically, I guess it says I just, I put her away, not
- 4:53divorced. And so then if that's the case,
- 4:57then I do agree with what this is saying that that he, so this
- 5:04perhaps is to Judah and not Israel.
- 5:09And OK, so I agree with what the study Bible says, and it says
- 5:15because of your sins you were sold.
- 5:17So this is interesting though, about being sold, like because
- 5:23of transgressions that being sold.
- 5:26And what that did is brought to mind about being sold, how Jesus
- 5:35bought back. He paid the ransom on the cross
- 5:40and Scripture tells us that. So in Matthew chapter 20 verse
- 5:4428, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to
- 5:49serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- 5:55And then in Mark chapter 10 verse 45, it says, for even the
- 6:01Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give
- 6:07his life as a ransom for many. And then first Timothy chapter 2
- 6:13verse 6 says, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
- 6:20This has now been witness to at the proper time.
- 6:25And then in Hebrews Chapter 9 verse 15, it says for this
- 6:31reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who
- 6:38are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance now
- 6:45that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins
- 6:53committed under the first covenant.
- 6:57So that explains it all in Hebrews 9:15 that God does.
- 7:04He gives us free will. If we rebel against Him and we
- 7:08reject Him, He lets us go. Now, He did not let Judah go.
- 7:15He may have put her away. He may have sold her to the, you
- 7:22know, solder, I guess, I don't know, as a a servant to someone
- 7:27else. I mean, that's what they did to
- 7:28pay their debt back. And that was the Hebrew
- 7:32tradition that if they didn't have the way to pay for it, then
- 7:37they could be sold. They would become an indentured
- 7:40servant to another family. I guess if they owed somebody
- 7:47money and they couldn't pay their debt, they would be they
- 7:49would work it off. And I think that's what it's
- 7:51saying here that God is doing with Judah.
- 7:54He is basically selling them. They're going to have to work it
- 7:58off because they wouldn't turn to him.
- 8:01They rebelled against him. He didn't divorce them, but they
- 8:05were going to have to pay for it.
- 8:07And ultimately Jesus paid the ransom so that they can be
- 8:12united one day again in in God's Holy Land in Jerusalem.
- 8:21Reading Jeremiah chapter 3 is is interesting because the study
- 8:27Bible references that where according to Jeremiah 38 God
- 8:31gave the northern Kingdom of Israel her divorce certificate.
- 8:36So it says in Jeremiah 3, verse 8, I gave faithless Israel her
- 8:41certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her
- 8:47adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful
- 8:52sister Judah had No Fear. She also went out and committed
- 8:58adultery. Then it says because of Israel's
- 9:04immorality, Because Israel's immorality mattered so little to
- 9:09her, she defiled the land and committed adultery with stone
- 9:13and wood. So this is like spiritual
- 9:17adultery where Israel was worshipping other gods and
- 9:23allowed that in there. That's where Jezebel was
- 9:26actually part of the the the Israel, the 10 northern kingdoms
- 9:30when they split apart and Ahab there was just like 1 evil ruler
- 9:36after another, the kings of Israel as documented in the
- 9:40Bible. It just said basically all of
- 9:42them were evil. There's only one that was given
- 9:45a little bit of an OK and he was Jehu and he was actually used by
- 9:50God to I think kill the rest of Ahab's descendants or something
- 9:55to that effect. So he was used as a tool
- 10:00basically as a resource to God. And it's not saying he was
- 10:03necessarily good, but God used him to bring judgment on is on
- 10:09the northern Kingdom of Israel and the northern Kingdom of
- 10:12Israel was captured by Assyria and they were they were spread
- 10:18all over to all different lands. So God did let them go and it
- 10:24apparently says that they, well, this is talking about Judah,
- 10:28that Judah, he didn't sign a certificate of divorce.
- 10:32He's being faithful and that's almost like God is always
- 10:35faithful to his promise. He always promised that there
- 10:38would be a throne in the line of David, which Jesus ultimately
- 10:44fulfilled. So God doesn't go back on his
- 10:47word. He was probably really
- 10:49disappointed with Judah, that Judah was doing the same thing
- 10:52as Israel. But he had made a promise that
- 10:56through the tribe of Judah that there would, you know, through
- 11:00David's descendants would come a savior, and that is Jesus
- 11:04Christ. So going back to what Jeremiah
- 11:07said, because Israel's immorality mattered so little,
- 11:12she defiled the land and committed adultery with stone
- 11:14and wood. In spite of all this, her
- 11:16unfaithful sister did not return to me with all her heart, but
- 11:21only in pretense, declares the Lord.
- 11:24So Judah was going through the motions, but it wasn't
- 11:28heartfelt. And this is how we can apply all
- 11:31this to us too. Are we going through religious
- 11:34motions or do we sincerely love God?
- 11:39Do we? What is our relationship with
- 11:41God? Do we are we like unfaithful
- 11:45Judah? Are we just going through the
- 11:48motions saying, yeah, I went to church on this day and yeah, I
- 11:52did these good deeds. But do we have a relationship
- 11:55with God? Are we talking to God?
- 11:57Are we, are we relying on God, trusting in him, sharing, you
- 12:01know, like you do a good friend or a spouse or a sick, you know,
- 12:05somebody that you really are close to.
- 12:07Are you communicating with God like that?
- 12:11The Lord said, here's what Jeremiah says.
- 12:13The Lord said to me faith, faith less Israel is more righteous
- 12:19than unfaithful Judah. So even the one that he sent
- 12:23away for divorce or certificate of a divorce is more righteous
- 12:28than unfaithful Judah. So this is like talking about
- 12:31the Pharisees being more righteous than the unfaithful
- 12:36Judah. This is, yeah, it's just like
- 12:40everything is going wrong for God's chosen people here.
- 12:45Jeremiah says, go claim this message toward the north.
- 12:48Return faithless Israel, declares the Lord.
- 12:52I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful, declares the
- 12:58Lord. I will not be angry forever.
- 13:01Only acknowledge your guilt. You have rebelled against the
- 13:07Lord your God. You have scattered your favors
- 13:10to foreign gods under every spreading tree and have not
- 13:14obeyed me. So God just wants.
- 13:18This applies to all of us. God just wants us to acknowledge
- 13:21our guilt. Acknowledge that we rebelled
- 13:24against God and we have not obeyed Him.
- 13:29He's just look, look at how faithful he is and he just wants
- 13:34people to return to him. So he's speaking this to the
- 13:38Northern Kingdom faith return faithless, faithless people
- 13:45declares the Lord for I am your husband.
- 13:48I will choose you one from a town and two from a clan and
- 13:53bring you to Zion. So it looks like he's not
- 13:56choosing everyone, but he's, you know, where they've been
- 14:00scattered. Maybe it is everyone.
- 14:02I will choose you, one from a town and two from a clan, I
- 14:05guess wherever they are, and bring them to Zion.
- 14:08Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will
- 14:13lead you with knowledge and understanding.
- 14:17I have a feeling that this is talking about the Millennium
- 14:20period where those who have where God will assign the
- 14:27people, definitely the ones who have been beheaded, Christians
- 14:34who have been beheaded for the sake of their faith because they
- 14:38have ultimately given their life for God.
- 14:42Essentially, if you think about it like they sacrificed their
- 14:45life for God, for their belief in God, that they would not deny
- 14:49God. And it does say in the
- 14:52Millennium, the 1000 years when Jesus reigns on earth, that
- 14:56those who had beheaded came to life and reigned with Christ for
- 15:011000 years. So I think those are the
- 15:05shepherds after his own heart who will lead you with knowledge
- 15:10and understanding. Because it says during the
- 15:13Millennium, people go there to be trained and, you know, to be
- 15:17taught by the Lord. That's what's happening during
- 15:21the Millennium. So this is, I mean, when I read
- 15:26the rest of it, maybe you'll realize that this is this hasn't
- 15:31happened yet. This is coming in the future.
- 15:33So Jeremiah 316 in those days when your numbers have increased
- 15:37greatly in the land, declares Lord, the people will no longer
- 15:42say the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
- 15:46It will never enter their minds or be remembered.
- 15:51It will not be missed, nor will another one be made.
- 15:56Well, right now that's not true for us today because I know I've
- 16:02seen and I've, well, I've seen reports of it, whether or not
- 16:06it's real or it it certainly looked like it was real,
- 16:11apparently. And there was an article written
- 16:13about it. You know, again, you can't
- 16:15believe what you see or read these days, but there it it it
- 16:19apparently it took three years to build this, but it and why it
- 16:24would take that long today, I have no idea.
- 16:27But there is a new Ark of the Covenant that someone wealthy
- 16:38put money out to build it. And there were pictures that
- 16:41were circulating of it of this arc in different places.
- 16:47It actually went to Mar a Lago. And there was talk in this
- 16:51article that was written that it was going to go to be with
- 16:56Israel and actually go with them into their battles.
- 17:02Now, I was shocked that I saw that and I couldn't, I don't
- 17:10know. I, I, I don't know if you can
- 17:11even find it online, but I did see it and there were other
- 17:15others that saw it. And so if that is true, if
- 17:22there's actually a replica arc that's been made, then this
- 17:27statement in Jeremiah does not apply yet because it says it
- 17:33will. It will never be remembered.
- 17:35It will not be missed, nor another one be made.
- 17:39And there was apparently another one that's been made.
- 17:42And Israel will be. Their numbers will be greatly
- 17:47increased. It said at that time they will
- 17:50call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord.
- 17:52We don't call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord right now.
- 17:55And all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of
- 18:01the Lord. No longer will they follow the
- 18:04stubbornness of their evil hearts.
- 18:07In those days the people of Judah will join the people of
- 18:11Israel and together they will come from a northern land to the
- 18:17land I gave your ancestors as an inheritance.
- 18:21So now it sounds like they are going to be front in a northern
- 18:24land at that time when they come back.
- 18:28So this is interesting. I myself, how gladly would I
- 18:32treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the
- 18:36most beautiful inheritance of any nation.
- 18:39I thought you would call me father and not turn away from
- 18:43following me. But like a woman unfaithful to
- 18:46her husband, So you, Israel, have been unfaithful to me.
- 18:51A cry is heard on the barren heights, the weeping and
- 18:54pleading of the people of Israel, because they have
- 18:56perverted their ways and have forgotten the Lord their God.
- 19:00Return, faithless people, I will cure you of backsliding.
- 19:06Yes, we will come to you for you are the Lord our God.
- 19:10So this is interesting too return faithless people.
- 19:14I will cure you of backsliding. God's not saying you can
- 19:19backslide. He says I will cure you of it.
- 19:23We have to turn to God if we are backsliding.
- 19:26It's it there's I think false teachers out there that just you
- 19:31know, say like you're OK if you're backsliding.
- 19:35I well, I don't think so. That's not what God says.
- 19:38If God demanded this of his chosen people, don't you think
- 19:42it'll be for all of us, others who are not Jews?
- 19:46So Jeremiah continues. Surely the idolatrous commotion
- 19:50on the hills and mountains is a deception.
- 19:53So I think this is also worshipping this like false
- 19:56gods. They used to like have these
- 19:59altars set up on high mountains where they worship false gods,
- 20:03and it's just interesting. Surely this idolatrous commotion
- 20:07on the hills and mountains is a deception.
- 20:10Maybe that's some future deception too, that we will see.
- 20:14Surely the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.
- 20:19From our youth, shameful gods have consumed the fruits of our
- 20:24ancestors, labor their flocks and herds, their sons and
- 20:27daughters. Let us lie down in our shame and
- 20:30let our disgrace cover us. We have sinned against the Lord
- 20:34our God, both we and our ancestors.
- 20:37From our youth till this day, we have not obeyed the Lord our
- 20:43God. God's rules, His commandments
- 20:47that He's given are guardrails for our protection.
- 20:51They aren't limit. They aren't limitations on our
- 20:54life. They are so that we can have
- 20:56eternal life, so that we can and we don't receive eternal life by
- 21:03obeying every single commandment.
- 21:05First of all, we can't do it. Scripture shows us that we fail
- 21:09just like Israel and Judah. So if we fail, that means we
- 21:12don't get Thee eternal life. But that's where Jesus came in
- 21:17because he was the ransom. He was the life that was given
- 21:21for the life of many because he was the Son of God.
- 21:25And that's why it's so important what he did on the cross because
- 21:28he made it possible for us to be in God's Kingdom.
- 21:32So we shouldn't treat what Jesus did on the cross as something,
- 21:36you know, we, we didn't get to witness it.
- 21:39We didn't, those of us living today, we didn't witness it.
- 21:43So we just hear about it and it takes away some of the severity
- 21:48of what was done to Jesus. And it'll, I'll talk a little
- 21:53bit about that. Actually, Isaiah talks a little
- 21:56bit about that. So we'll just continue to what
- 22:00he talks about. So when I came, why was there no
- 22:04one? Well, Jesus, I'm going back to
- 22:06Isaiah now, verse 2. When I came, why was there no
- 22:09one? When I called, why was there no
- 22:13one to answer? Was my arm too short to deliver
- 22:17you? Do I lack the strength to rescue
- 22:20you? I see this as as referring to
- 22:23Jesus. When I came, why was there no
- 22:25one? Like, why did people not accept?
- 22:28Why were people not accepting Jesus?
- 22:31Because there are some Messianic Jews now today who do believe.
- 22:36And there were obviously the first.
- 22:38The first Christians were actually Jews.
- 22:40They were the people who saw Jesus, who knew Jesus, who
- 22:44believed him, who witnessed it all.
- 22:47And then they told other people. But I don't, I don't know if
- 22:51this is really referring to Jesus, but it seems like it is.
- 22:54Like when I came, why was there no one?
- 22:57Like why was there this rejection by a mere and then
- 23:02God's talking about his power by a mere rebuke?
- 23:05I dry up the sea. I turn rivers into a desert.
- 23:10Their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst.
- 23:14I clothe the heavens with darkness and make sackcloth as
- 23:17covering. Like is there anything outside
- 23:22beyond anything that God can't do?
- 23:26There's nothing that God cannot do.
- 23:28God can do everything. God can do the impossible.
- 23:33You know, we, you know, how much effort it would take for us to
- 23:38dry up a sea, But God can do it because he created, he created
- 23:45all this. And we that's something that I
- 23:49think we might do, we might change the way we look at things
- 23:56if we realize the power of God and if we realize that grace is
- 24:03actually the power of God. And to see this correlation,
- 24:10this connection, if we go to 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 verse 9,
- 24:17it says, But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for
- 24:24my power is made perfect in weakness.
- 24:29Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness so
- 24:34that Christ's power may rest on me.
- 24:39And then in Acts chapter 4 verse 33, it talks about with great
- 24:45power. The apostles continued to
- 24:49testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God's grace
- 24:54was so powerfully at work in all them.
- 24:58So grace is power. I I always think of it as like
- 25:02the power of the Holy Spirit. Now Stephen, a man full of God's
- 25:07grace and power, formed great wonders and signs among the
- 25:11people. And then in in Ephesians it says
- 25:16I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's
- 25:20grace given me through the working of his power.
- 25:25So grace and power are connected.
- 25:27We can have power when we rely on the grace of God.
- 25:33The Sovereign Lord has given me going back to Isaiah, the
- 25:36Sovereign Lord has given me a well instructed tongue to know
- 25:40the the word that sustains the weary.
- 25:43He wakens me morning by morning wakens my ear to listen like one
- 25:49being instructed. The Sovereign Lord has opened my
- 25:52ears. When I hear read this, I think
- 25:58is this Isaiah or Jesus or both? Because as it continues on, it
- 26:03starts to sound more like Jesus rather than Isaiah.
- 26:07But I think that Isaiah is speaking through the Lord and
- 26:10these words are coming to Isaiah, the words that sustain
- 26:15the weary. He wakens me morning by morning,
- 26:18wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
- 26:21The Lord, the sovereign Lord has opened my ears.
- 26:25Then it sounds like maybe this is talking about Jesus.
- 26:29It says I have not been rebellious.
- 26:31That could be Isaiah. I have not turned away.
- 26:34But here's where it sounds like Jesus verse 6 I offered my back
- 26:38to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my
- 26:42beard. I did not hide my face from
- 26:45mocking and spitting. So this is all about Jesus was
- 26:51flogged. And so he said this, He told his
- 26:57disciples and they witnessed it too, and they themselves also
- 27:03got flogged. But it says let's see his let's
- 27:14see. There was many things about
- 27:16Jesus being flogged. It says like in Mark chapter 15,
- 27:21verse 15. Wanting to satisfy the crowd,
- 27:25Pilot released Barabbas to them. He had he had Jesus flogged and
- 27:32handed him over to be crucified. In Matthew 27 verse 26, it says
- 27:39then he released Barabbas to them, but he had Jesus flogged
- 27:44and have it handed him over to be crucified.
- 27:48And then in Matthew chapter 20 verse 19, it this is Jesus said
- 27:57this it says and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be
- 28:03mocked and flogged and crucified on the third day he will be
- 28:07raised to life. So actually when this is being
- 28:12stated, it's Jesus predicting his death 1/3 time and it starts
- 28:18in Matthew verse 20, Matthew chapter 20, verse 17.
- 28:23Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem.
- 28:26On the way He took the 12 aside and said to them, we are going
- 28:30up to Jerusalem and the Son of Man will be delivered over to
- 28:33the chief priest and the teachers of the law.
- 28:36They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the
- 28:41Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified.
- 28:44On the third day. He will be raised to life.
- 28:48So that's again what happened to Jesus.
- 28:54And then it says in Isaiah, it goes on to say I offered my back
- 29:00to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my
- 29:03beard. I don't, you know, that's not
- 29:05really documented about being a beard being pulled out.
- 29:08I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.
- 29:13In Luke chapter 18 verse 32 it says for he referring to Jesus
- 29:20will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and
- 29:25insulted and spit upon. So again, this really sounds
- 29:29like Jesus. Because the sovereign Lord helps
- 29:32me, I will not be disgraced. I'm sorry.
- 29:35Going back to Isaiah, because the sovereign Lord helps me, I
- 29:39will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face
- 29:43like Flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
- 29:49So this is another thing that in Scripture, in first Peter art,
- 29:57actually, yeah, it's first Peter, first Peter chapter 2,
- 30:00verse 6, it says, for in Scripture it says, see, I lay a
- 30:05stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the
- 30:10one who trusts in him, that's Jesus.
- 30:13The cornerstone will never be put to shame.
- 30:17And that's actually referring another.
- 30:19That's like a duplicate. That's like Isaiah 28 verse 16.
- 30:24So it's another repetition. Then back to Isaiah chapter 50.
- 30:30He who vindicates me is near. Who then will bring charges
- 30:34against me? Let us face each other.
- 30:36Who is my accuser? Let him confront me.
- 30:39It it is the sovereign Lord who helps me, who will condemn me.
- 30:44They will all wear out like garment.
- 30:46The moths will eat them up. Who among you fears the Lord and
- 30:51obeys the word of His Servant, both Jesus and Isaiah?
- 30:56I mean, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
- 30:59Isaiah is certainly talking about the fear of the Lord.
- 31:03Like who? Who is that who fears the Lord?
- 31:05Who obeys him? If you fear the Lord, you will
- 31:09obey, because you will want to show him that you love him.
- 31:12And Jesus said, if you love me, obey my commands.
- 31:15So it says, let the one who walks in the dark, who has no
- 31:20light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God.
- 31:26So here he is again saying, turn to the Lord, turn to the Lord.
- 31:32And it says, but now all you who light fires and provide
- 31:37yourselves with flaming torches, go walk in the light of your
- 31:42fires and the torches you have set ablaze.
- 31:47This is what you shall receive from my hand.
- 31:50You will lie down in torment, disaster.
- 31:55So if we are going on this, this, this life journey without
- 32:01God and we're trying and we're playing with fire, we're going
- 32:06to get burned. Disaster will come to us.
- 32:10We need to turn to the Lord. That's really what's being said
- 32:14here. We need to turn to the Lord and
- 32:16don't rely on ourselves. If we just rely on ourselves,
- 32:18that's prideful. That's saying we can do it on
- 32:20our own and God knows better. We can't.
- 32:23No one in history has. We need God.
- 32:26We need to rely on God. So that concludes chapter 50.
- 32:31Hope you come back for chapter 51 next time.
