- 0:32what is going on everybody
- 0:35it is lunchtime lunch with
- 0:36the Clydesdale we are here
- 0:38what's up Jody what's up
- 0:40Meredith Ken Walters my man
- 0:45Ken and I had a nice chat
- 0:47in the spin chat last night
- 0:50um I didn't know he was a
- 0:51card collector from long
- 0:53ago um this used to be a
- 0:57man cave where I do my
- 0:58podcast and that wall
- 1:02used to be all signed
- 1:03football mini helmets.
- 1:06that I got every one signed in person.
- 1:09I went and acquired the
- 1:11signature from the athlete,
- 1:13and then I had a bunch of
- 1:14football cards from when I was a kid.
- 1:17And I'm a big Chicago Bears fan.
- 1:20I grew up outside of Pittsburgh,
- 1:22so I had two big frames.
- 1:25One of them had every Walter
- 1:28Payton card ever made by Topps,
- 1:31chronologically from his
- 1:32rookie year to even after he retired.
- 1:36And it even included a box
- 1:39bottom from the nineteen
- 1:41eighty four eighty five set
- 1:45that was pristine.
- 1:48then I had a bunch of the
- 1:50seventy steelers in a frame
- 1:52uh all their rookie cards
- 1:54framed up in a frame um I
- 1:56ended up selling all of
- 1:57that stuff off uh in order
- 2:00to buy a really good camera
- 2:02to be able to do behind the
- 2:03scenes of the masters
- 2:04crossfit games to be able
- 2:06to take on the road with me
- 2:07uh to do different things
- 2:10live from events um
- 2:14And it really came down to
- 2:16my daughter didn't want any
- 2:17of the stuff that I had.
- 2:19I'm fifty five.
- 2:21I can't take it with me.
- 2:23And why not go ahead and
- 2:25liquidate those assets in
- 2:27order to do something
- 2:28that's my passion right now,
- 2:30which is to do this show,
- 2:31to do things at events,
- 2:33things of that nature.
- 2:36And so that's what I did.
- 2:38And I don't regret it one bit.
- 2:40But it blew me away when Ken said,
- 2:43if you ever want another
- 2:44rookie Walter Payton,
- 2:45I got seven of them.
- 2:47And that's when you know
- 2:48that Ken is a hardcore card collector.
- 2:53So I thought that was really cool.
- 2:55But we talked about that
- 2:56during the spin podcast.
- 2:58And I'm sure that people did
- 3:00not care at all.
- 3:02Seventeen of them.
- 3:04Seventeen of them.
- 3:07Oh, my gosh, Ken.
- 3:10That is crazy.
- 3:12As a, as a poor kid from Pennsylvania,
- 3:15I actually acquired my
- 3:16rookie Walter Payton
- 3:18through a dice game at a County fair.
- 3:23There was a card collector
- 3:24there selling cards.
- 3:25He had a game where you paid a dollar.
- 3:27You got to roll the dice.
- 3:30I think it was five dice.
- 3:32And whatever number you got,
- 3:34you got the card that was in that slot.
- 3:37And the rookie, Walter Payton,
- 3:40was in the thirty slot.
- 3:42And I actually rolled five sixes.
- 3:46And that's how I acquired
- 3:47the card for a buck.
- 3:50And...
- 3:52So, yeah.
- 3:53And then I ended up selling
- 3:55it way under value.
- 3:58My gosh.
- 3:59I wish I would have known
- 4:00Ken was in the business.
- 4:01I would have talked to him
- 4:02about like maybe some
- 4:04better places to sell.
- 4:05But I did all my selling on
- 4:07eBay and I probably sold
- 4:09the rookie Peyton for like
- 4:12one sixty one seventy
- 4:14something like that.
- 4:16Um, and I know the, the, the value of it,
- 4:20book value of it is, um, gosh,
- 4:25I like three hundred and something.
- 4:27I think Ken, am I right?
- 4:29But, uh, I didn't have anything graded,
- 4:33but I did keep them and they were framed,
- 4:35um, and in pristine condition from, uh,
- 4:38they were framed in the eighties, uh,
- 4:40and never removed from the frame.
- 4:42So, yeah.
- 4:48Jody Lynn says,
- 4:49I will never see the number
- 4:50thirty four without
- 4:51thinking of Walter Payton.
- 4:53I agree with you.
- 4:56He is my favorite athlete of all time.
- 5:02Yeah.
- 5:04probably the reason I became
- 5:06a bears fan was Walter Payton.
- 5:09Um, when I was young,
- 5:11my parents were diehard Steeler fans.
- 5:14I just got sick of it and I
- 5:16wanted to rebel.
- 5:17And so Walter Payton was my
- 5:19favorite player.
- 5:20And then, um,
- 5:25and then um so I just picked
- 5:27the bears and that was like
- 5:29the early eighties so I
- 5:31then I caught the wave as
- 5:32they got better and better
- 5:33and ended up winning the
- 5:34super bowl in and then I
- 5:36was hooked for life and
- 5:38then it's been a horrible
- 5:42horrible fandom in the last
- 5:43twenty years but hopefully
- 5:45we've switched all that
- 5:45around um but I man
- 5:52I used to get so either
- 5:54hyped or depressed
- 5:55depending on how the bears
- 5:56were doing when they lost
- 5:58in the super bowl to the
- 5:59Colts in Oh six or Oh,
- 6:03I think it was Oh six.
- 6:04Um, I mean, I was depressed forever.
- 6:07It felt like months took me
- 6:10to get over that game.
- 6:13Um,
- 6:15I have over two million cards,
- 6:16probably about five hundred
- 6:18thousand are common than
- 6:20other eight thousand pieces
- 6:21of memorabilia.
- 6:22That is amazing.
- 6:24That is amazing.
- 6:26Have you ever watched?
- 6:28I think it's called the
- 6:29Golden Touch on Netflix, where.
- 6:34The Golden Group get pieces
- 6:37of memorabilia for auction.
- 6:40It's it's produced by Peyton Manning.
- 6:43It is.
- 6:45I find it fascinating,
- 6:47having been in the world of
- 6:48collectibles for a while.
- 6:51But I think they just got
- 6:52bought out by a much bigger company.
- 6:57So I'm wondering if the show
- 6:57will survive or not.
- 7:02Oh, my gosh.
- 7:03A graded rookie ten patent
- 7:05worth fifty K to seventy five K. Wow.
- 7:09Yeah, and I sold mine for one sixty.
- 7:11Mine wouldn't have graded a ten, though.
- 7:13I'm pretty sure.
- 7:16but it might have been like
- 7:18an eight or a nine.
- 7:25uh it is a great show it is
- 7:27it's fun to watch it's fun
- 7:28to watch them and how they
- 7:29acquire the memorabilia to
- 7:31put up for auction and the
- 7:33promises they have to make
- 7:35and it's not just sports
- 7:36like though they there's
- 7:38episodes where they find I
- 7:40find a guy who has every
- 7:41apple computer ever made uh
- 7:43and then every iphone that
- 7:44was ever made and he keeps
- 7:45them in pristine condition
- 7:47um like goofy stuff it's
- 7:49amazing what people would
- 7:50collect and I and I guess
- 7:52it's like moved into purses
- 7:54and like if you can find
- 7:56gucci stuff or stuff like
- 7:59that it um louis vuitton
- 8:04and all of that is on this
- 8:06show of collectibles so
- 8:07it's not just um it's not
- 8:10just sports collectibles
- 8:15Grade nine, ten to fifteen K. Gosh, man,
- 8:17don't say that.
- 8:20Oh, my.
- 8:21I got duped.
- 8:29And Jody says, oh, my God,
- 8:31that's a crazy amount of cards.
- 8:33It is a crazy amount of
- 8:34cards and a crazy amount of money.
- 8:35What people will pay for a
- 8:37piece of cardboard.
- 8:38It is crazy.
- 8:39Crazy.
- 8:43um andrew stan or they get
- 8:44duped when they x-ray a
- 8:45sealed iphone that doesn't
- 8:47actually have an iphone in
- 8:49it I did see that episode
- 8:51that that was crazy uh ken
- 8:57is actually on his way uh
- 8:59to look at a huge card card
- 9:00collection uh and bought a
- 9:03huge jersey collection last weekend
- 9:07That is cool.
- 9:08Now I really have to go to Minnesota.
- 9:09I got to check this out.
- 9:11Um, cause I would,
- 9:12that would be so fun to look at.
- 9:16Um,
- 9:17Kat must be back from her work trip and
- 9:20she just finished her workout.
- 9:22So cool.
- 9:27It was fun to hear Siobhan
- 9:31give us some kudos and the
- 9:33channel's growth this
- 9:34morning and giving Kat some
- 9:37kudos for her show,
- 9:39but wondering if her family,
- 9:42like her parents or her kids,
- 9:43watch the show.
- 9:45And she is so open and honest.
- 9:47It is...
- 9:48it's fun and then then to
- 9:50know that her daughter and
- 9:52her daughter's college
- 9:53friends listen to the show
- 9:54is freaking hilarious to me
- 9:56um my wife actually brought
- 9:59up the show to me today my
- 10:00wife never listens to my
- 10:02show and she's bringing up
- 10:03stuff that cat talked about
- 10:05so apparently she listens
- 10:06to cat show cat's show but
- 10:08not mine so there it is that's awesome
- 10:16So one of the things I
- 10:18wanted to talk about today
- 10:19is it was recently announced.
- 10:27Jody Lynn says, Kat,
- 10:28you need to go on the show later, daters.
- 10:32That sounds fun.
- 10:35Ken says, it used to be a side hustle,
- 10:37but when I lost my job in twenty twenty,
- 10:39my wife was cool with
- 10:40retiring and going full time.
- 10:42Problem was is she thought I
- 10:45would only be selling.
- 10:46yeah there's a reason it's
- 10:50called collectors and not
- 10:53um yeah it's not called
- 10:57buyers it's not it's not
- 10:59called selling it's called
- 11:00collecting um and
- 11:02collectors have a hard time
- 11:03getting rid of what they
- 11:04buy that's what I learned
- 11:07from these shows
- 11:11Um, and I,
- 11:12I'll tell you when I sold my stuff off,
- 11:14I had a really hard time with it,
- 11:16but at the end of the day, to me,
- 11:18I had to like reconcile what,
- 11:20what was I going to do with it?
- 11:21I can't take it with me.
- 11:23And at the end of the day,
- 11:24it's just stuff.
- 11:28Um, so yeah, but, but I love,
- 11:33I still love looking at the stuff.
- 11:35Um, I mean, as you can tell behind me,
- 11:37like I love collecting stuff.
- 11:38So like,
- 11:42these signed CrossFit shirts
- 11:43and jerseys and stuff is
- 11:45really cool to me.
- 11:46And I, so I still collect things,
- 11:49but I just try to collect
- 11:50things that are like more
- 11:51important to me.
- 11:56Uh,
- 11:57Ken says I might be considered a
- 11:58hoarder at this point.
- 12:01It's a fine line there, dude.
- 12:03Fine line.
- 12:06Um,
- 12:08So, yeah.
- 12:08So,
- 12:09I was reading the news and the Academy
- 12:12Awards have actually changed a rule.
- 12:15And you're never going to
- 12:16believe what this is.
- 12:18When I read it, I was like,
- 12:19you've got to be kidding me.
- 12:21They are just like CrossFit.
- 12:23So the rule passed this year,
- 12:25not for the Academy Awards
- 12:27we just watched,
- 12:28but for the upcoming year,
- 12:30is that in order to vote on
- 12:34the nominees for Best Picture, Best Actor,
- 12:38Best Actress, Supporting,
- 12:40all the big ones,
- 12:42you actually have to have
- 12:43watched the movie.
- 12:45Before this year,
- 12:47you could vote on all of
- 12:49that stuff and never have
- 12:50watched the movies.
- 12:54but they have now made it a
- 12:55rule that in order to vote on these,
- 12:59you have to have watched the movie.
- 13:03One that boggles my mind
- 13:06that that was never a rule in the past.
- 13:09Now let's fast forward that
- 13:11to the CrossFit world when
- 13:13you can judge a video
- 13:15online and not even have watched it.
- 13:20So we have the same rule in CrossFit.
- 13:23As the Academy Awards had to
- 13:25vote for best picture.
- 13:30So I don't know is are we in good company?
- 13:32Are we in bad company?
- 13:34Now,
- 13:35the Academy Awards have made that rule
- 13:37change.
- 13:38And Dave said on his weekend review now,
- 13:41in order to give a thumbs
- 13:42up or thumbs down,
- 13:43you have to give a comment.
- 13:45And I can't wait to see if
- 13:47this weekend during the individuals,
- 13:49they've made that change or
- 13:51if they're waiting until
- 13:52the twenty six season to do so.
- 13:57I am hoping, hoping beyond hope that.
- 14:01One,
- 14:01I think it's going to make life a
- 14:03whole lot easier for
- 14:04CrossFit when you get legit
- 14:06thumbs up and thumbs down
- 14:08because they have to give a
- 14:10comment as to why.
- 14:14It will allow them to sort
- 14:15through the rubble that is
- 14:18the no rep accusations much
- 14:21quicker when you actually
- 14:23see a reason and people
- 14:25just can't go in there and hit a button.
- 14:33think we all are clamoring
- 14:35for this and thankfully it
- 14:38looks like crossfit is
- 14:39listening I just want to
- 14:41see how fast they're going
- 14:42to react to it so but
- 14:47apparently it took the
- 14:48academy awards about a
- 14:48hundred years to decide
- 14:51that they wanted people to
- 14:53watch the movie that they
- 14:54were voting for best picture
- 14:58And as I've told you,
- 14:59of movies I've seen this
- 15:00year that were nominated,
- 15:03the one that won is not
- 15:04what I would have picked
- 15:06for best picture.
- 15:11And it makes me question the
- 15:14validity of a best picture
- 15:17when the voters didn't even
- 15:18have to watch the movie to vote for it.
- 15:21Because the premise...
- 15:24I think it was Anon.
- 15:26I don't even remember the
- 15:27name of the movie anymore.
- 15:31The premise I liked,
- 15:34the execution of the movie was not good,
- 15:37in my opinion.
- 15:40Where something like A Complete Unknown,
- 15:43I thought was executed much
- 15:45better for what it was.
- 15:50Anora.
- 15:51Thank you, Jay Birch.
- 15:52Anora.
- 15:53Yeah,
- 15:53Anora was not executed at a level
- 15:57that satisfied me.
- 16:00So where A Complete Unknown
- 16:02was artistically done very,
- 16:04very well and gave a good
- 16:08impression of what those
- 16:10early years of Bob Dylan
- 16:12would have been like.
- 16:16And I really enjoyed that movie much,
- 16:18much more.
- 16:20so so yeah so and I think
- 16:25that crossfit now can take
- 16:27a step forward and
- 16:28hopefully let's see this
- 16:30weekend that happen so uh I
- 16:37also filled out my heat app
- 16:38for the weekend um two's gonna qualify
- 16:52so I'm going to reveal what
- 16:53those are it's hard eleven
- 16:57is not very many spots so
- 17:00when we look at the um
- 17:02women's division I've gone
- 17:04in the heat one app and I
- 17:06encourage you guys to do
- 17:07the same thing I try to
- 17:08beat my picks as you can
- 17:10see I made my heat one app
- 17:13picks right there uh I have
- 17:17ariel lowen taking first
- 17:19alex kazan taking second
- 17:22Alexis Raptus, third.
- 17:23Danielle Brandon, fourth.
- 17:25Olivia Kerstetter, fifth.
- 17:27Annika Greer, sixth.
- 17:28Amy Kringle, seventh.
- 17:30Paige Semenza, eighth.
- 17:32Miriam Von Rohr, ninth.
- 17:34Emily Rolfe, tenth.
- 17:35And Carolyn Prevost in eleventh.
- 17:40I have missing out notables Grace Walton,
- 17:43Brooke Wells, Haley Adams, Maddie Sturt.
- 17:47I don't think Tia Toomey is doing it.
- 17:49Claudia Gluck.
- 17:54Shelby Neal, Hattie Cano.
- 17:58So that's who I have for my women.
- 18:04On the men's side, I have Adler first,
- 18:09Dallin Pepper second, Hopper third,
- 18:11Ricky Garrard fourth, Jay Crouch fifth,
- 18:14Justin Madera sixth,
- 18:16Bailey Martin seventh, Sam Kwan eighth,
- 18:18BKG ninth, James Sprague tenth,
- 18:21and Jack Rosema eleventh.
- 18:24missing is yonikoski uh
- 18:27anola kai luke parker
- 18:29george sterner travis
- 18:31mayard uh chris ibarra and
- 18:36I don't think rich froning
- 18:37is going to do the workout
- 18:38so I did not pick him
- 18:39either if he did them I
- 18:41probably would pick them
- 18:43pick him but I don't think he is
- 18:47So those are my eleven on the men's side.
- 18:50Adler, Pepper, Hopper, Gerrard, Crouch,
- 18:52Medeiros, Martin, Quant, BKG, Sprague,
- 18:56and Rosema.
- 18:58And on the women's side, Lohan, Gazan,
- 19:01Raptus, Brandon, Kerstetter, Greer,
- 19:04Kringle, Zemenza, Rohr, Rolfe,
- 19:06and Prevost.
- 19:09So those are my picks for the top eleven.
- 19:16So join in and try to try to beat me.
- 19:24Did you see the Apollo one
- 19:26hundred rankings?
- 19:27I did not.
- 19:31And those are Barkley's
- 19:32Barkley Dale's rankings.
- 19:40I have I like Barkley.
- 19:43I like Barkley a lot.
- 19:45And I think numbers are important.
- 19:49But I think sometimes
- 19:51Barkley's position is the
- 19:53numbers are more important
- 19:54than what you see in performance.
- 19:58And I'm not sure of the
- 19:59weight of the event,
- 20:01depending on when it
- 20:02happens during the season.
- 20:06And so he's made claims on
- 20:07some shows that I
- 20:09completely disagree with.
- 20:11So I guess I haven't dove
- 20:13into like his stuff yet and
- 20:14maybe I need to, um,
- 20:17over the course of the next few days,
- 20:20just kind of see what he has out there.
- 20:24Um,
- 20:26I'd love to see what the makeup of it.
- 20:28So hopefully I can kind of
- 20:30do some research on all of
- 20:31that in the coming days.
- 20:34I have to head home to
- 20:35Pennsylvania this weekend
- 20:37to celebrate my mom's birthday.
- 20:39It's actually today.
- 20:41So happy birthday to Mama Schweitzer.
- 20:43She turns eighty today.
- 20:45She is an inspiration to so many people.
- 20:48My mom was completely out of
- 20:50shape a few years ago.
- 20:53Um, and struggled to get around.
- 20:57She lost a hundred and fifty
- 20:59pounds and ended up doing
- 21:01five K after five K after
- 21:03five K started doing some four milers.
- 21:07Um,
- 21:07she's probably done fifty or sixty of
- 21:09those.
- 21:10Um, since then, um,
- 21:12she lives in a small town
- 21:13where there is no CrossFit,
- 21:15but every time she would come to visit,
- 21:17she would drop in and do CrossFit with,
- 21:19with us here.
- 21:21Um.
- 21:23she's just such an
- 21:24inspiration and uh so glad
- 21:26to have her in my life and
- 21:29um she is she's an amazing
- 21:32amazing woman so happy
- 21:34eightieth birthday to my
- 21:35mom and we are headed home
- 21:38to see her this weekend and
- 21:40throw a party for her on
- 21:41saturday and then I'll be
- 21:43back hopefully in time well
- 21:46I will be back in time to
- 21:47do the sunday night show um so
- 21:51Uh, that'll, that'll be the weekend.
- 21:54And then my wife goes in for
- 21:55her second knee surgery on Tuesday.
- 21:59So yeah, it should be fun.
- 22:05That not fun.
- 22:06Uh, but we'll, we'll get through it.
- 22:08And then once she gets through this one,
- 22:10we'll be able to go do some stuff.
- 22:12Um, together as a family and like maybe,
- 22:17uh,
- 22:18go to Montana to see our
- 22:19daughter and actually hike
- 22:20up into the mountains and
- 22:21different things like that.
- 22:22Now that she's going to be
- 22:23all repaired and ready to go.
- 22:28Uh, Meredith.
- 22:28Wow.
- 22:28That's incredible.
- 22:29Congrats to your mom.
- 22:30She is an incredible woman.
- 22:32That's awesome.
- 22:33Happy birthday.
- 22:34Jay Burch's mother-in-law's
- 22:35birthday is today as well.
- 22:38And Ken Walters.
- 22:40Hell yeah.
- 22:40Mama Switzer.
- 22:42That's some boss stuff.
- 22:44It is.
- 22:47So, um,
- 22:51can I get so tired of people saying
- 22:53I'm too old to start that stuff?
- 22:56You're right.
- 22:57I mean, my mom was in her,
- 23:00when she started that she
- 23:02would have been mid sixties.
- 23:06So, sixty five,
- 23:07probably when she started
- 23:09her fitness journey.
- 23:11And here she is at eighty,
- 23:14still going strong.
- 23:15We had the stroke a couple of weeks ago,
- 23:19but she's bounced back from that.
- 23:22She's back to doing her
- 23:23thing like nothing ever happened,
- 23:27just on a blood thinner to
- 23:28make sure it doesn't happen again.
- 23:32So there's that.
- 23:39What else?
- 23:40There were some Q&As that came out.
- 23:42The Barbell Spin posted
- 23:44about the in-person or
- 23:47in-affiliate semifinals this weekend.
- 23:51They allowed the athletes to ask questions,
- 23:54and they answered the
- 23:55frequently asked ones back
- 23:58in written form.
- 24:00And so two, I want to highlight,
- 24:03the barbell spin has
- 24:03highlighted these as well.
- 24:05Can you explain the backfill
- 24:06process between the
- 24:08in-affiliate semis and
- 24:09in-person qualifying events?
- 24:11And where this gets tricky
- 24:12is the in-person affiliate
- 24:15events are this weekend,
- 24:18yet the leaderboard does
- 24:20not finalize until May,
- 24:24so that's where things get tricky.
- 24:27so the french throwdown
- 24:28which is held from may
- 24:29ninth to the eleventh and
- 24:31the fittest experience from
- 24:32may sixteenth to the
- 24:33eighteenth actually come
- 24:35first chronologically in
- 24:37getting spots to the games
- 24:42so if you go to tfx and you
- 24:44get one of the spots to the
- 24:45games and then the in
- 24:47affiliate semi-final you
- 24:49finish in the top eleven
- 24:51your spot will be backfilled
- 24:53in the in-affiliate
- 24:54semifinal because that
- 24:56leaderboard came after TFX.
- 25:01So if you are an athlete who
- 25:03gets their spot either at
- 25:05the French Throwdown or at
- 25:07the Fittest Experience,
- 25:08that is where your
- 25:09qualifying event will be.
- 25:12And then if it turns out you
- 25:13finished in the top eleven
- 25:15in the affiliate semifinal,
- 25:17that spot will get
- 25:18backfilled because before
- 25:21the leaderboard finalized,
- 25:23you already got your spot to the games.
- 25:28I hope that makes sense.
- 25:30Because, yeah,
- 25:33that that can be a little bit confusing.
- 25:36And like I said to Carolyn this morning,
- 25:38I get the concept.
- 25:40But man,
- 25:40it's just another thing we have to
- 25:42explain in this process of this season.
- 25:46And I think that that makes
- 25:47things way harder for us to
- 25:50grow the sport, the methodology,
- 25:53everything because of all of that.
- 25:57The other big question was
- 26:00that overhead walking ledge
- 26:01with the dumbbells and them
- 26:03not being able to touch.
- 26:06And the question was
- 26:07actually asked during the
- 26:08overhead walking lunges,
- 26:10if the dumbbells make
- 26:11contact with each other accidentally,
- 26:13is it a no rep?
- 26:14And the answer from CrossFit was no.
- 26:17As long as the dumbbells are
- 26:18not held together,
- 26:20brief incidental contact
- 26:21will not be penalized.
- 26:22Brief incidental contact is
- 26:24when the dumbbells make
- 26:25contact either with one or
- 26:27both heads and then are separated.
- 26:30If the dumbbells remain touching,
- 26:32the reps will not count.
- 26:36So that's been a big
- 26:37question because the
- 26:39standard and the overhead
- 26:40walking dumbbell lunge is
- 26:43the dumbbells can't come together.
- 26:46Well, they can come together like that,
- 26:49but they can't come together and hold.
- 26:53So I'm trying to get it
- 26:55where you can see it,
- 26:56but they can come together.
- 26:59They can come together and
- 27:00bounce and that's fine.
- 27:03If they come together and hold no good.
- 27:07So those were the two big
- 27:09questions going into the weekend.
- 27:13I'm glad that CrossFit in
- 27:14writing has answered those
- 27:16so that everybody is on the same page.
- 27:18And I believe they get to
- 27:19start the workouts today, um,
- 27:24five PM maybe.
- 27:26Um, I don't know.
- 27:28That's usually when stuff happens.
- 27:32But the workouts were out
- 27:34earlier this weekend.
- 27:35They got the answers to these questions,
- 27:37and it starts sometime
- 27:38today where they'll be able
- 27:40to go ahead and start
- 27:41putting some stuff together.
- 27:46I thought...
- 27:48And then yesterday we talked
- 27:49about Metfix a little bit
- 27:51and Greg did talk about it
- 27:53somewhat yesterday on the Savant show.
- 27:56I went back to listen to
- 27:57that after I was advised by
- 27:59people in the chat that
- 28:00Greg had talked about
- 28:01Metfix and the competition stuff.
- 28:04And I get it.
- 28:07I think he believes,
- 28:09this is my summation of what he said.
- 28:11I think he believes that
- 28:12CrossFit has lost its way
- 28:14as being a health and fitness company.
- 28:18And it's geared more now
- 28:20towards the sport than it
- 28:22is to the health and
- 28:23wellness of the everyday
- 28:29athlete and the affiliate goer.
- 28:32And what MedFix is trying to
- 28:34do is fill that gap
- 28:37that CrossFit has lost his way on.
- 28:39And Greg even said that he
- 28:42believes it started to lose
- 28:43its way under his direction,
- 28:47under his ownership.
- 28:49Um, and so he wasn't blaming anybody else.
- 28:56I think he was just,
- 28:58he was blaming everybody
- 29:00involved that he let it get out of it,
- 29:02out of
- 29:04let it lose its way and lose
- 29:06and get off track.
- 29:08And I think now he has just,
- 29:12he has tried this med fix
- 29:14is trying to get everything
- 29:15back on track as to where
- 29:17it was at one time.
- 29:19And if you look at the website for med fix,
- 29:22it's very obvious that they
- 29:23are trying very hard to align the,
- 29:28mind body and um and
- 29:33wellness with um the belly
- 29:36part um and I think that
- 29:41there's no mention of sport
- 29:42on the medfix website it is
- 29:44all about everyday gym
- 29:46goers getting healthy and
- 29:48fit again um and I think
- 29:54the way he said it was uh
- 29:56pretty well done yesterday so
- 30:00Yeah, it was a good listen.
- 30:03I had to run a couple
- 30:03errands yesterday afternoon
- 30:04and that part of the
- 30:07interview filled my time
- 30:08enough to go do all of those.
- 30:11So that was pretty nice.
- 30:12And thank you, Aaron Frazier,
- 30:14for pointing me in that
- 30:15direction because it did
- 30:17answer some of the
- 30:18questions I had yesterday.
- 30:21So I think with that,
- 30:25that's about all I have.
- 30:26I did not throw my dart today.
- 30:28here we go and I didn't even
- 30:32aim and you can tell
- 30:33because I missed the
- 30:34dartboard altogether but I
- 30:35did hit the cork board
- 30:37around the dartboard so
- 30:38there it is pretty big dud
- 30:41to end the week on I'm not
- 30:43even ending the week we
- 30:44have one more day to go tomorrow
- 30:46But with that, that's my show for today.
- 30:51I've got to get back to work.
- 30:53You knuckleheads get back to work,
- 30:55and we'll see everybody
- 30:56tomorrow on Lunch with the Clydesdale.
- 30:59Bye, guys.
