Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, thanks for joining us on Housewives Goss and Glitter.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Today we are going over the Real Housewives of New York, season 16, episode 2.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: And today we get their taglines.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: I liked the title of this one today, which was Much Ado About Brunching.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, that is very fitting.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: That's a good one.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: That's finally a good one.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Um, and then it just says the peacock description is Daisy throws a brunch for Cy that goes south.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Erin deals with a home emergency.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I uh I mean, hey, that's pretty accurate.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: It does go south in her home emergency.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: I have some comments, but yeah, interesting.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: But I just have to say, with their taglines, Erica and Carol's were horrendous.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Erica's is so bad, I don't even understand the connection at all with her.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Friendships come and go, but tacos are forever.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: It's like in the whole episode was like her being super fit and like all in it, just it wasn't clever.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: And then also it's like the taco thing hasn't been mentioned at all, so I have no idea why that's her tagline.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: I have no idea either, and all I can think of is like, was it like 2016, 17, where it was like, all I need is gym and a taco or feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty or something like that, and that's all I'm getting is like 2016.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: So weird.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Weird thing so weird.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: And then Carol's was equally as bad though, with I may be a boomer, but at least I have a great ass.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: It was it was like, okay, let me just read.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna read them all.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, okay, Daisy.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: In my line of work, I charge extra for two faces.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: That was good.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: I thought that one was really good.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: That was my favorite one.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Jessel.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: It's not my fault you can't tell an accent from an attitude.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Nah, it's mediocre.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Because she has that like British accent.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Haley, when they go low, I get high.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: I think that's clever.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And it's very fitting after her talking about her weed pen later on in the episode.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Uh Sai.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Manhattan gave me the address, but Brooklyn gave me the attitude.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: I like how it's relatable to New York and it's kind of fitting.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Erica, friendships come and go, tacos, they're forever.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I wrote WTF.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what does I just don't get the connection yet?
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe she talks about them a lot.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Um then they should have introduced the tacos the first episode when we met her.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: It should not, we should not be multiple episodes in already.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Erin, in New York, secrets are currency, and honey, I am rich.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: It just goes along and makes her sound bitchy.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, she is bitchy.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's like gonna be the villain.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And then Carol, I may be a boomer, but I still got a great ass.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: It's so fucking stupid.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: I did cringe like really hard.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh my god.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Oh like first of all, we just meet just meet her this episode.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Well, I guess she's been on eight seasons ago, but anyway, it is so bad.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: I'm like it was yeah.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Why are you complimenting your own ass?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: It was just I don't know.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Uh so that being said, we do kick it off with Carol, and she's in this interesting street wear homeless look.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, in her.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I was like, who is that?
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I know, and I guess like, I mean, I don't remember.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: I watched like way, way, way, way back when, and then now to have her.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: So eight seasons ago, I have no idea who she is.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so she's laying on her red Jeep that's like falling apart, and she uses it as her office, and she has like this beautiful grand apartment.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: She was married to a cousin of a Kennedy, and blah blah.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And like then you just see your car, and I'm like, okay, I can understand like the vintage and like wanting something cool and old.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Like, I get it, we have our old coma, but yeah, I was at a loss.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: And why is she using it as her office?
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: You can't do that in your living room.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: She's like, Yeah, she's renovating again, but I'm like, Yeah, where there's gotta be other space for this.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: And like Erica gets in the car, like super confused about what they're doing.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: So Carol, I used to do this when I was at BC.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: Like when they would street clean, I would have to find another place to park my car because I didn't want to pay for parking.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: And so Erica gets in the car and she's like, Oh my god, this is so fun.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: I've never been street cleaning before.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: And Carol's like, We're not actually going street cleaning, we're moving the car for street for the street cleaning crew, and Erica's like, oh, and then Erica's like, I don't understand why she doesn't just pay for a parking space.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Why doesn't she just pay for a parking space?
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, for a regular person, it's probably like a gazillion dollars to pay for a fucking covered parking space in New York City, but all these women apparently have like a ton of money, so I don't know why she parks on the street, but it's very strange.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: And like I feel like I would be the type of person who was like, Okay, street sweeping is at like 8 a.m.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: to 12 p.m.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna move my car out of the way the night before.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: I used to do that when I lived in Salem.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: We would move the car.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I would get up at like the crack of dawn and like move the car.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, we would do that.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Or like if I had, I think on the rare occasion we ended up having to put it in the garage and I would walk.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: But like I'd rather put it in the garage and walk than like sit in my car for three hours and wait for the street sweeper.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: It's definitely it's an interesting choice.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Um, and then we get the scoop on Carol's book.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: So this is the big scoop on her being a writer.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: So 20 years ago, Carol wrote a book about her like personal love story with her husband Anthony, who was the first cousin of the John Kennedy that died in the plane crash.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: So now, with all of the craze with John Kennedy and Carolyn Bissett from the show Love Story, now a bunch of people have picked back up Carol's book.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: So her book isn't even though it's not about them, her book has been like connected with the show.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: So now it's like back on the bestseller list, and a bunch of people are reading it, which is like kind of cool because it's like a 20-year-old book.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it's like number 12, which is crazy.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: And she's just saying that this is like a really hard thing.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Like at first, I didn't get that this was like a really emotional thing for her, but she did mention that like the I haven't I did not hear about her book until like I watched this episode.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: So she's saying that like that time in her life was like a really traumatic time, and that she was like close with these people, and they died really suddenly, and it was like super tragic.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: So for her, like she doesn't want to watch the show and talk about the show, is what I'm getting out of that.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Caroline Bassett was apparently like her best friend or whatever, yeah.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: And then passed away.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: I find it interesting.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: I've read some comments on Reddit with it with a leader.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: I don't think but so that'll be interesting.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, can you imagine though?
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Like the I hope she gets like I don't know, how do you do it, royalties or something on your book like 20 years later, and then it just starts.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Oh, if you renegotiate your contract, I have no idea.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know, yeah, but it's like, yeah, that's pretty interesting.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: That's cool and really like unexpected.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: Um, so anything else on that before we move on to Erin's tragedy?
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: No, I'm gonna hold my comments until the brunch.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, so then we move on to Erin and her husband, and they're driving to the Hamptons because their Hampton home has extensive water damage due to a burst pipe in one of the bedroom ceilings.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: And it is bad, it's worse than I thought.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Well, because when you first walk in, you can't see it.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: So, like when they first walked into the house, I'm just seeing like this beautiful living area and all these like windows from like floor to ceiling, and I'm like, oh my god, this is beautiful! Like the house isn't ruined at all.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: But then when they showed the bedroom and the basement, I was like, oh fuck, that's a lot.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And that's so that really sucks, but I do have an opinion about it.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: I do feel bad that a lot of her family mementos were caught up in it, like pictures and things like that, and photo albums.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: But I do wonder if you have a house in the Hamptons, you're supposed to have like someone that comes in and checks on it, and like you're a New Yorker, pipes freeze.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: What are your opinions?
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: I just like they always show this on the housewives shows, like when there was a big storm in Jersey, and they showed like all of the girls like going to their homes on the Jersey shore and being like, oh my god, how devastated.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: And like it it sucks, like it does suck, and I'm not gonna say it doesn't, like it would be really hard to have to like repair all those things, and it really sucks.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: But at the end of the day, it's like she was talking to somebody about this, and her contractor said that like it was as bad as damage from Hurricane Katrina, and I'm just like, okay, I mean, yeah, people living in New Orleans, like the people that got hit super hard in New Orleans were like so poor, and they're and co they were like left homeless.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: And this is like your second home in the Hamptons, and it was a burst pipe, which is like not a it's not a natural disaster.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Like it's uh yeah, the water sat in your basement, you're having someone who's able to pump it out, and Katrina stuff just sat and sat and sat and sat and sat.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: But that was also a hurricane, too.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Like that was a natural disaster.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Like, this isn't a natural, like she keeps calling it a disaster, and I'm like, it's not a disaster.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Something that is easily avoided.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: If you have ever lived in cold weather in your life, right, like I hate to say it, like I we had the pipes freeze in Salem once, or it happened twice.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: I guess it happened right before we moved in, and it did burst a pipe, and it ended up leaking through my ceiling through the lights.
- 11:05unknown: Yeah.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: But like the landlord came and fixed it like two days later, and then when they froze again, yes, I couldn't use my shower.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: It's just something that you get used to when you live in cold weather.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Like, we had a feeling that it was gonna freeze, it was in the negatives.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: We ran the water in the bathroom in the and the kitchen, and then you go and you make sure that your heat is bumped up and that things are warm enough.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: If you are like if you have if you have a house in the handpins and it's gonna get cold, you have someone go in and like double check, and you have the money for that.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, and it's like it's your second home, so and the turns covered everything.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: I do feel bad that the family stuff was ruined.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: It's not like it definitely sucks.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it sucks.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: It's just the fact that she kept calling it a disaster, and I was like, okay.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: We're on the same page about that.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Then we go to Erica teaching at Equinox.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: I oh my god, I have so many thoughts about the scene.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Okay, for a small Haley showing up with her sunglasses, ridiculous.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: Although, was she just drinking a Celsius with a straw instead of like having a water bottle?
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: And then she was like, I can't see her, I need her to move.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: This whole scene, it was ridiculous, but it cemented it.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: I like Haley.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: She's like relief that we need between the Jessel and Aaron drama.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: I do like Haley.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: She looked like you can tell that she smokes a lot, and I'm not just talking about weed, I'm just talking about like smoking because this workout, she just looked so sweaty and like like wandered in off the street because it because that's when you smoke a lot and you try to do a cardio class, like you look like horrible, and you're like super sweaty, and like I was like, Oh my god, she looks like she looked like she was like sweaty and detoxing.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, this woman should not be like, She probably hung over with the sunglasses and everything.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: She was 100% like hung over, yeah.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Um but then even Daisy was like, I can't keep up, I can't keep up.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: And I was like, it looks hard, but it's really like not that bad.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: That's so that's what I do on Thursday.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I hate classes like this.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: I don't want to do like a fucking dance routine for my workout.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: I love my Thursday class, but anyway, so then we but this is fun because we find out Erica is also a WWE girl.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: I know, I was not expecting that at all.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: I was like, really?
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: No, it's so funny to me.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Where are they getting all of these?
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: I hadn't like it's a pivot, like you can pivot from the WWE to the housewives.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: It's like a becoming a feeder to the housewives.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: It's like very interesting.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Um, I did not see that coming at all.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Um, and then also Haley's like crushing on Erica.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's so funny.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: And her, I wrote down about her baby bird comment.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: She was like, I'm gonna be the mama bird, she's the baby bird, and I'm just feeding her fries.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, Erica probab Erica and Haley, after seeing Haley and leggings, they could probably both do with like a fry.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: But I shouldn't say things like that.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: They could clearly Erica is like could kick my ass.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: She is like ripped.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: But the comment, I was dying.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she yeah, she was crushing on her.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: She's like, Oh, she's so she's so beautiful, she's so smart.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: What'd she do?
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: Like chef's kiss or something?
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then when they're all there, like the three of them are like sitting down and talking after class, she's like wants like Erica to like play wrestle her.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh my god.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: And then she goes into like choke her and she's like, I'm not attacking you.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: But what we do find out during that conversation though, I was also not expecting, so I was like laughing, but I was I was also like, oh, this is kind of serious.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: So like the whole subject of Aaron comes up, and Haley's like, yeah, and they're all saying, Yeah, Aaron is definitely a shit talker because they were talking about like the Aaron Jessel fight at the end of the party last episode, and then Haley's like, Yeah, so Haley is in trouble because Aaron went up to Alison, her date, and was like, Oh, are you the one that broke Haley's nose with your boob?
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: And Allison was like, No.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: And Aaron was just like, oh, because and then she was like, tells her the story that Haley had just told her when they were at the house, which I thought at the time was like kind of funny, but then Haley's now telling the girls that when they got home from the party, Allison was like legit mad about this and was like looking through her phone.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: I thought that was crazy.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: I think Allison is a little, a little sensitive.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: But that's what I think we're saying about it being a weird dynamic with them being like, haha, we're friends and we're like, but it's different.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: It seems like this woman was like a real date, which I didn't fully like understand.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: I thought she was like, Oh, this is like silly, and we're gonna like go home and hook up after, but this was like a real date that she brought to the party.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Allison was like actually displeased by hearing this story, and I was like, Oh, she was yeah, she was on she was not pleased.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: She was like, she did not think it was funny, yeah.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: And then I guess they haven't spoken since or something.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I did say this about the scene.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: I was really proud of Daisy.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: This is gonna sound funny, but maybe because Daisy's known Sai for so long.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: But when she mentions that she wants to throw Cy a brunch or like a thing because she's been down, when the girls inquire and push, Daisy's like, it's not my thing to tell you.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: I just think she needs a pick-me-up, and that is the girlfriend that you need in your life.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: And like they've they've been like real friends for a really long time for their time when they were not strippers at scores.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: Yes, not strippers, they just worked at a gentleman's club, yes.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: It won't say what they did there, but they weren't strippers, they were part, they were professional party girls, apparently.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: And also in this scene, so it's funny because I wrote a note down of like tell Zoe to tell us about Haley's marriage, but then right after I wrote that down, Haley was like in a confess or in a confessional, and she's like, So like Reuben and I are in a lavender marriage.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: I was like, Oh, so she just like comes out with it.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so she does mention that she's in a lavender marriage, which I guess means that she can have a relationship outside the marriage, but it can only be with women, it cannot be like another guy.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: He doesn't want anything to like do with it.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: It is like she keeps it.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: I thought he was gay.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: I don't think he's gay.
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: I think they're like in a relationship, but she has permission to be with women.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: I thought a lavender marriage always meant, I mean, and clearly she's dating women, but for some reason I thought lavender marriage always meant that it's a gay guy.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Like you're married to a gay guy.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: If you believe the rumors, then he has like a big family on the vineyard.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: I don't know if they're actually married either.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: We need Joelan to get on this, but he apparently is part of a family on the vineyard, and she lives part-time between the vineyard and New York, so that is why it's actually her pieditaire because it actually is separate from like where they live together.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: He doesn't live in the city, but he could possibly inherit like a giant thing, so it may be a cover-up, but if you're going on TV and saying that you're in a lavender marriage, I don't think the cover-up means anything at this point.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So it says, so I Googled it and it says, yes, according to Haley Glassman, her husband Ruben is gay and they are openly in a lavender marriage.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Um, okay.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: I guess I misunderstood.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I've just anytime I've ever heard of it, it's always that the husband is gay.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's what it means.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: It's just that anytime I've ever like seen an example of it, it's always the guy.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: But it says historically a lavender marriage is a term used to describe a marriage of convenience between a man and a woman, where one or both parties are assumed to be or openly LGBTQ plus, often to conceal their true sexual orientation from the public or protect a reputation.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: That like lines up if he's living privately on Martha's Vineyard.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: But then in which case you I know that he doesn't want to be on the show, but like if we know who he is and you're on the housewives, does it blow up the thing?
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: We'll just have to see, I guess.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Maybe whenever.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: I guess we'll see, they'll fall out.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Um it's just she's a very fascinating person.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: She's a little annoyed because she just feels like Erin just is like so fascinated with her lifestyle because Erin's just like so boring, and that's why she's like talking about her.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: She calls Erin the strawberry jam at the diner.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Can we find a different word for her?
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: Because I like love the strawberry jam at breakfast.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say, I love it when I go and I have a toast and use the strawberry jam.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Vanilla is an appropriate vanilla was appropriate.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the strawberry jam is delicious, and oh, even better is raspberry jam.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I don't ever ignore the strawberry jam, the whole sucker thing at the diner.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: I get my super, super buttery toast, and I want the I ignore the marmalade.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, me too.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: Do people actually eat marmalade?
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: I haven't ever seen anybody use those in my whole life.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: So use the grape or the strawberry.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: I don't think anyone's using marmalade.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: I don't even know.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Then we go to size real quick, and she's like trying to analyze her net worth statement, and she's getting super confused and stressed out about splitting assets with David and how much money she's been spending on the kids.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: And that does blow considering the man is not working.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, part of me wonders okay, let's say he is kind of a lazy piece of shit, right?
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: And he did sell company main a bunch of money.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: Like I said, he in a couple of seasons ago, he was fun, he was able to fund.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Her being an influencer before she took off.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: So whatever he was doing, and whenever he sold, she was able to just do her thing on the side until it blew up.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: So I mean, you if that's all getting considered at the end, like when they do divorce, I'm just wondering.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm sure you can do good as an influencer, but I remember watching a season of Wing Empire, and one of the girls, Jamie, was an influencer, and she was a top-paid influencer, and she still only paid in 40k.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: She only pulled in 40k.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: So you have to wonder, like, how long was it for Sai to get up and running?
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Because they've been married a bit.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I wonder what it'll take me for.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, but what did he provide previously?
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: That's a tough one for sure.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: Alright, and then we get to Daisy and Eugene.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Daisy is in big trouble after this episode.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Big, big trouble with Eugene.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: She's just she also cracks me up.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: It is so funny to me.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I like her, but she's in big trouble with Eugene.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Like, first of all, the man is already annoyed with her because she's not present at home enough.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Basically, he's at home a lot.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Well, they both work.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: They both work, but he's apparently a lot more available for their son who's like little.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Um like he's like a kid doing all the kids stuff while she's like working for Martha Stewart.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: But she does more than just work for Martha Stewart.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: She's like gallivanting around with her, also, and she's just like really busy.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: And Martha Stewart's like her main priority, which is understandable because that's like a really huge job.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: So yeah, so he's already kind of annoyed with her about that.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: Like he clearly is kind of like just not, they're not on the same page right now.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: He's like, you're never gonna get this time back.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: She's like really scared or brained in the house.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Like he's obviously just kind of annoyed with her.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: He's like upper ass about how many glasses of wine she's had, if she leaves the refrigerator open.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: I I don't understand leaving the refrigerator open.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: Meaning that I can understand if you didn't properly shut the window.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: But like I would notice that.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Shutting the refrigerator, that could be an issue.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: And I I think I would be annoyed too, like, because it sounds like he's a really high-profile stylist.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: And like she's a high-profile makeup artist.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: But if my wife was busy, couldn't shut a refrigerator and was busy gallivanting around Paris and climbing the Eiffel Tower with Martha Stewart, I'd be like, Keep it.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, but I mean, because that's clearly gonna be a ton of their money, is working with Martha Stewart.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: And I'm assuming her busy times probably coincide with stuff like awards season, so the beginning of the year.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: And they did say they were it does seem like it is in winter time, so it totally could be award season and stuff like that.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: No, I totally got that.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: I totally got this.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: So I was like, okay, this is definitely like relatable.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: It's not like not fixable, but it's definitely like something that should probably be addressed.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: It's one of those things that's like if you don't address it, then over a really long period of time it becomes a problem.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Um, but I do really like them.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: I like them both, so hopefully it'll pass.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: But then we get to the brunch for Sai.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Before we cover everything else, I just want to keep on the Daisy train.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: So the reason why she's in fucking trouble is like Eugene is already annoyed with her because she's not present at home, she's never home.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Now she's on camera flirting with the waiter for the 1200 bottle of champagne, and then the text message the text message was bad.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: That was bad.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, it was.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: So we'll dive into this now.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was so bad.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, Daisy had talked about in the last episode that she spent around two hours talking to her son's tutor, and from like they got down at 5:30, and she got down talking to him around 7:30, and it was spent like two hours.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: And he's a young guy, like he's a man in his 20s who is attractive.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: I think he was 26.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: She says he's like adorable or whatever, and then I guess he texts her and he says that he has a crush on a married woman, woman, and he's not entirely sure like what to do about it, and all this stuff, but he could quote, implode.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: He said, implode, yeah.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: He said that he might have to withdraw if it comes to the point where he implodes.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: And if I actually ever implode, I'm going to have to cut ties.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: He has a crush on her and he's hopelessly, hopelessly stupid around.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, like he feels like he's 12 again.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: And this is when you fire the tutor, Daisy.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: This is when you fire the tutor.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: But she it's not even like she just didn't entertain it and didn't respond to him, which like she should definitely respond with a firm no, but it's not even like she ignored it.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: She hard at it.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh my god.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: And as I said, if there's one thing Daisy likes, is like attention, but it's like, I'm sorry, you're married and you have a kid and you obviously like your husband.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, like you obviously really love your husband.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I'm not gonna lie, like, I would not be surprised if he was really mad if you're watching that scene.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: That is not you should you should reply to him and be like, this is really inappropriate, and like I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression when we were talking the other night or something, but instead she hearted it, which gives him the complete, he's probably gonna like try to hook up with her next time he comes to the house.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's so awkward, it's it's so bad, it's so inappropriate.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: It's so inappropriate, so inappropriate, and also, too, like just after witnessing this and knowing that she hearted it, I do kind of agree that it's like, did you give him that impression?
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Because you kind of seem like maybe it did.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: Like he it it does say a lot that he did feel comfortable sending that message.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: No, because this isn't her employer, you know what I mean?
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: It's not like a friend.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Just the way that she responded, it doesn't seem like this was totally like unsolicited.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh my god, this is really she's gonna be in, she's gonna be in trouble, and also like how horrifying for the tutor because she's like reading the messages out loud.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: This, yeah, so bad, like, really bad.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Well, she did say she was gonna be drunk before everyone else showed up after her twelve hundred dollar bottle of champagne that she somehow convinced him to come.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: I just feel like when your husband is already annoyed that you're never home, this is not gonna help.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: No, no, it's not gonna help.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: She's gonna make him think that you like have affairs.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, pretty much.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Where are you going when you're with Martha Stewart, babe?
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: What are you doing?
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: Are you really in the Eiffel Tower with Martha?
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: Or are you like gallivanting France with someone, the tutor?
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: No, that was really bad.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh my god.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: All right, what should we jump to next?
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: I love Haley's outfit.
- 29:45SPEAKER_01: I loved it too.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: I wrote then I loved her pink blazer.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: We get to know, oh, at the scene, we get to know a little bit more about Erica and her husband.
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: He's the CEO and the founder of Built, which no one knows how long it's gonna last, so she better ride her thing.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: It's like an unsustainable practice, I guess, if you read things about built.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: So we'll see how that goes.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: But they collect our rent for my building.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you can do it and build your credit, but I guess it's like whatever it's financially built on is a little unstable, something like that.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but anyway, she mentions so this is kind of funny.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: I kind of like Erica, I think she's kind of she's pretty funny.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: But how she said when her husband travels for work, she was like, Oh, if they get all the valuables, they won't attack me.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: So she takes all of his watches and all the jewelry and she places it in front of her door, she locks the door and then she sleeps with a knife.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: And I was like, interesting concept.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: I hope that works out for you.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: But I hope as a billionaire, you have a really good security system.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: I was thinking that too, because like there have been, especially on Beverly Hills, there was like a couple of robberies.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: Um, I did actually kind of understand this though.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: So, like the thought is they don't they just are going in to grab some stuff really quick.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: So instead of going into your bedroom where they think you're safe and all your jewelry is, you just leave stuff outside.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: But I was thinking, like, I mean, in New York too, it's like in theory, you've got a doorman and like better security as opposed to like an isolated house somewhere.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, where you're just surrounded by your own trees and a gate, and it is like remote.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: You don't have neighbors like right there, like you said, doorman cameras, things like that.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: But because that reminds me, did you ever watch the documentary Bling Ring?
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: No, they were the ones, so they interviewed a bunch of those kids that broke into like Paris Hilton and Misha Barton's house, and they had like their whole thing, and they were selling like their bags out of like their trunks in like high school or something.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: It was crazy.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: So I understand where she's like you said, she's coming from, but it's also like New York is a little bit different than they were hitting up Beverly Hills, right?
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: All right, and then so Jessel arrives, also Carol arrives, Cy arrives, and like most of the girls don't really understand the purpose of the brunch or what it's for because not everybody knows what's going on with Sai.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: Celebration, and even Sai is like, but I don't know what we're celebrating.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Like when Carol gets up to leave, she tells her happy birthday.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: I know, I was like, it's not her birthday, so yeah, it was unclear.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: I think what um Daisy should have done is she should have told Sai, like, we're just getting together for a girl's brunch, and we just want you to have a fun day, and just not like said anything else.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I when she said we're all getting together for Sai, and then some of them know what's going on and some of them don't, like it's a little weird.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: And then yeah, she said it was a celebration, and Sai was like, Why?
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so that was interesting.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: But then it came the Aaron show.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I know, I know.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: So, Erin, yeah, this is another thing.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: So, Erin sort of brought this on herself because she decided to give up and give Sai a toast, which is like, again, why are you toasting her?
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: Because you're just drawing more attention to the fact that she's going through a hard time, which I was like, that's weird.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: And then at the end of the toast, she used it to take a jab at Jessel.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: So the toast like wasn't even really about Sai anyway.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: And then, like, that leads to the two of them getting into it again.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: And I just feel like Erin's whole like take on this is like, yeah, I was talking badly about you, but I don't even really remember what I said, and also like I don't think it was that bad.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: So, like, what's the big deal?
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Like, that's the whole thing, like, there's no other explanation.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: She's just like, Yeah, I just started talking shit about you.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: And then she's talking shit, and she admits that she should have called Jessel in the first place and like understood the background of why Jessel seemed to be in this space.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: Instead, she just called her Thirsty and a bunch of other, like a snake and a bunch of other things, and then expects Jessel to be like, oh no, it's totally fine, we're good.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, she doesn't like her, she just doesn't like her and was talking shit about her and got caught.
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: Like she apologizes, and then she turns to Daisy, middle of the show, because their brunch, by the way, had burlesque in it, which is so fun.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: Which is fun, yeah.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: Talking shit to Daisy right after she apologized.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it's like that's why she just doesn't like her.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: Like, she doesn't like her.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: She doesn't that's why she doesn't have like any excuse for anything to say, because it's just like she just does not like her.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: And then like the fact that even Carol and like Haley picked up on everything and like brought it, especially Haley, who's high as a fucking kite, because she starts talking about her weed pen being empty.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Like, well, she she also was like, Oh, now that you're done apologizing to Jessel, I just want to let you know that Alison's like not speaking to me about what you told her at the party.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: And Aaron just goes, Oh, I just thought it was a funny story.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Like, and Haley was like, Like, you may have thought it was a funny story, and you brought it up, but now like my girlfriend's not talking to me.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: And she was like, I'm not trying, she wasn't even being mean about it.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: And Aaron was like, Oh, let's pile everything on me right now.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: And I was like, You literally started it, like keep your mouth shot.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she shouldn't have drawn.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like she drew attention to herself at the brunch, and that's when everybody started talking to her about this.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, I it was a lot of stuff about that, and then awkwardly it switches to this whole conversation about love story because Daisy's like really fascinated with the show, and Carol's at the brunch, yeah, and like this was so awkward.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: So, like Carol first of all doesn't even want to be there because she only likes breakfast and not brunch, and then she's and then she's like looks like visibly uncomfortable, and like everybody can tell that she's really uncomfortable with this topic, except for Jessel.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: And Jessel just is like, Yeah, wasn't Caroline a bitch?
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: And what do you think about everybody dressing like Carolyn Bissett all summer?
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: And don't you think that the family's cursed?
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: And like she's just continuing to go on and on and on and pushing, and Carol's like straight up, like, I don't want to talk about this.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: It was so awkward.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: Daisy was like, Oh, I have one question, and Jessel was like, Is it Caroline being a bitch?
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: And Daisy was like, No, I really just wanted to know about her as a person, which would make sense, is and I think is an appropriate way to approach things and an appropriate way to ask a question, because you really just want the background of someone who was close to her.
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: That I get.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Jessel, on the other hand, was like fucking clueless.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: I'm like, does she not know that they were close or something?
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: Because it just seemed like she didn't understand that part of it, like, because she was like, it just seems like everybody got it.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Because I think it's fine to ask a question, but then when you can tell that she clearly like doesn't want to talk about it.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: I just think that Jessel is tone-deaf because then Jessel went on.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: So obviously, Carol is really close to her, and she is telling Carol about the Carolyn Bassett summer and how minimalistic it was, and black and white, and blah blah blah, because whatever she did, she pitched it to her company the day before, or something like that, right?
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and so I understand that, but then Carol made it clear that she like didn't want to talk about it, and then in her confessional, she was like, Oh, I if I was up there and I was dead or whatever, I'd want everyone to have a Jessel summer, like I'd want them to be in their most fabulous couture and blah blah blah, and like living up their life.
- 37:58SPEAKER_02: And it's like just shut up.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: Is she always in the most fabulous tools couture?
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: Because I wasn't getting that.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: She's more in the little like tan.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's living over in Carolyn with that summer.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: So I hate a minimalist look, so I was like, no, yeah, I don't like it.
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: I don't like your hair, her hairstyle.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: I don't like her in general, and I was just over her, but this is where I was gonna bring in my other comments about this whole thing.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: So I was reading on like Reddit and social media and a couple other things that so Carol wrote her memoir 20 years ago, right?
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: And people were calling that a cash grab.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: I don't really know if it's a cash grab.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: You're allowed to write your memoir.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: You obviously had a really interesting life, you knew interesting people, you can talk about it.
- 38:50SPEAKER_01: The sketchy part is she sold so the Kennedy, like Carolyn Bissett and uh the Kenny, he they had really intimate, small wedding, and they never released their photos after they passed away.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: Carol sold their photos.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, she did.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she sold never released wedding photos.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: After they passed away.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: People are like, so they're like, Jessel's trying to monetize on this she's gonna like these photos.
- 39:25SPEAKER_01: So isn't like look more into it.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: It was kind of what I was perusing today and what my housewives be was showing me today.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: So I don't know how that will go.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know if Carol's as innocent as we want her to be.
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: So we'll see.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: Probably not.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, then it just ends on that like sour note, and then she would she Carol's.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm leaving.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: Happy birthday, Sai.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then she leaves, and then everyone's staying there really awkward.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: Haley moves seats, and then it ends.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: That was awkward.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: So, yes, so that was New York, and that was pretty much the episode, guys.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: So we appreciate you listening.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: We'll have more on that next week.
