- 0:00Speaker 1: All Star Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:07Speaker 1: The plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 2: This I gotta come off the bitch.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:23Speaker 3: All right, and welcome back here in hour number two
- 0:26Speaker 3: OTB here at one O four five ESPN Baton Rouge
- 0:30Speaker 3: talked a lot of recruiting there in the first hour.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Let's continue that conversation now.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Zach Naggy joins us to do so, does a great
- 0:37Speaker 3: job covering the LSU Tigers over on Si, Zach, we
- 0:41Speaker 3: appreciate the time.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Thanks for wrapping on with us.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Yeah, my man, how's it going on?
- 0:45Speaker 4: The old man going great?
- 0:47Speaker 3: And look for LSU fans, I'm sure they're pretty happy
- 0:49Speaker 3: this morning as well. Lamar Brown from you High, there
- 0:52Speaker 3: was you know, speculation kind of leading into it. Is
- 0:55Speaker 3: it going to be A and M Is it going
- 0:57Speaker 3: to be LSU? And Zach you've certainly seen this play
- 1:00Speaker 3: out as well. You just you don't know. Sometimes with
- 1:03Speaker 3: local guys, like a lot of people feel like you
- 1:05Speaker 3: have a massive advantage and sometimes you do, and sometimes
- 1:07Speaker 3: it's a complete opposite because maybe they want to go
- 1:10Speaker 3: somewhere else, maybe they don't want to stay close to home.
- 1:12Speaker 4: But this is a huge get for LSU.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think a huge get. It is kind
- 1:18Speaker 5: of an understatement. This is a guy who, in my opinion, man,
- 1:21Speaker 5: it's kind of a unicorn, a two way athlete in
- 1:23Speaker 5: the trenches that can really play either side of the ball.
- 1:26Speaker 5: He wants at the next level, and to go out
- 1:28Speaker 5: and secure him and really really him away from Texas
- 1:31Speaker 5: A and M at the buzzer is a big one
- 1:33Speaker 5: for this team and really shows the recruiting efforts and
- 1:37Speaker 5: the new era that this quote unquote front office of
- 1:39Speaker 5: Austin Thomas and Company are really starting to put together.
- 1:42Speaker 5: They're doing a fantastic job. They're locking down the Bayou
- 1:46Speaker 5: State of course right now, and it's been an impressive
- 1:48Speaker 5: haul so far in the twenty twenty six class. So
- 1:51Speaker 5: to add Lamar Brown to that is a tremendous get,
- 1:54Speaker 5: like you alluded to, and I think they're really, really,
- 1:58Speaker 5: really really starting to dominate this hole so far.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 3: When you look at Brown and Anderson now in this
- 2:03Speaker 3: class and both committed to you both you know, Luisi
- 2:06Speaker 3: and a guy, so I know it's not over until
- 2:08Speaker 3: it's over, You're not going to, you know, really maybe
- 2:11Speaker 3: celebrate till you get to the finish line. They signed
- 2:13Speaker 3: in all of that, but they feel incredibly solid right
- 2:15Speaker 3: now to LSU, and if it does end up happening,
- 2:19Speaker 3: we were talking about it earlier, like when LSU has
- 2:21Speaker 3: been its most dominant, it's had guys like this up front,
- 2:25Speaker 3: and so this feels like a pair that with LSU
- 2:28Speaker 3: and where they're currently at on their defensive line, could
- 2:31Speaker 3: probably come in and play as true freshman and play
- 2:34Speaker 3: right away.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Yeah, no doubt. And you add those two guys alongside
- 2:38Speaker 5: Trenton Henderson, the number one Edge from the Sunshine State,
- 2:41Speaker 5: and you're looking at a hall down in the trenches.
- 2:44Speaker 5: That's fantastic. Those are three guys that have five star
- 2:47Speaker 5: caliber status on whichever recruiting site you want to use.
- 2:51Speaker 5: These are guys that can come in and make an
- 2:52Speaker 5: instant impact, like you said right there, and it really
- 2:55Speaker 5: shows the recruiting efforts of Ed Rusher's coach, Kevin Peeple's here.
- 2:58Speaker 5: He's starting to lock thing down and become more of
- 3:01Speaker 5: a stavvy recruiter on the trail. He's got three big
- 3:04Speaker 5: time names already pledged and he's looking to add more.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I don't think he's done just yet. So you could
- 3:10Speaker 5: see a fantastic Hall in twenty twenty six class moving forward.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Like you said, whenever LSU's been dominant, they've had guys
- 3:16Speaker 5: in the trenches that can really handle business. And now
- 3:19Speaker 5: you're looking at the number one defensive lineman in the
- 3:21Speaker 5: country in Richard Anderson from ed nacarr pledge to the program.
- 3:24Speaker 5: You got Lamar Brown pledged too, who has intentions of
- 3:27Speaker 5: playing defense too, despite being the number one athlete in
- 3:30Speaker 5: the country. And then you got a number one edge
- 3:33Speaker 5: in Florida in Trendenderson committed. So the Hall is so
- 3:36Speaker 5: far has been fantastic, but the future is bright down
- 3:38Speaker 5: there on the defensive line. And you got to give
- 3:41Speaker 5: Kevin Peeple's his flowers. Man, He's been doing a fantastic
- 3:43Speaker 5: job and I'm excited to see how he continues moving
- 3:45Speaker 5: forward with it.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Zach, let's flip over to the other side of
- 3:48Speaker 2: all and kind of I want to ask you about
- 3:50Speaker 2: the most important position on the field at quarterback. Now
- 3:54Speaker 2: LSU has kind of whiffed and missed on Bo Bentley,
- 3:57Speaker 2: then again Bryce and Fever, what does LSU do in
- 4:01Speaker 2: this recruiting class at the quarterback position, and what's your
- 4:03Speaker 2: opinion on everything leading up to this point.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that's a million dollar question, right. Everybody
- 4:10Speaker 5: wants to see what type of signal caller I think
- 4:12Speaker 5: I try to bring in the twenty twenty sixth class.
- 4:14Speaker 5: They hit the portal once again, So that's the one
- 4:17Speaker 5: that everybody wants it from me. I think you've seen
- 4:20Speaker 5: all the success that this program's ad in the transfer portal, right,
- 4:23Speaker 5: whether it's Burrough, Jaydon Daniels, etc. We know that in
- 4:27Speaker 5: this new era of college football, you can go out
- 4:29Speaker 5: in the portal and gets your kind of franchise guys.
- 4:32Speaker 5: So I'm not quite sitting here and saying they need
- 4:35Speaker 5: to go get somebody in the twenty twenty sixth class,
- 4:37Speaker 5: but certainly whipping on Bo Bentley is a big time
- 4:39Speaker 5: miss for this program, just because he's really starting to
- 4:42Speaker 5: hit his stride on the prep team. This is the
- 4:45Speaker 5: guy who's been a fast riser in the recruiting rankings,
- 4:47Speaker 5: a guy who had a ton of interest, a ton
- 4:49Speaker 5: of offers. Ultimately trimmed his list obviously to LSU Oklahoma
- 4:53Speaker 5: down the stretch. So to miss out on BO is
- 4:56Speaker 5: a big time miss for this team in this program
- 4:59Speaker 5: so far. But obviously fall brings the flip season right.
- 5:02Speaker 5: You can continue to attack players and see if you
- 5:05Speaker 5: can turn up the heat on whoever you want there.
- 5:07Speaker 5: But if you try not to do that and you
- 5:09Speaker 5: decide to kind of shift focus to the transfer portal,
- 5:12Speaker 5: we know what Joe Sloan can do on the recruiting team.
- 5:15Speaker 5: He is one of the stabbiest recruiters in college football.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And I think if you need to hit the portal,
- 5:19Speaker 5: which all signs to point towards them doing that, I
- 5:22Speaker 5: think you could go out and get a guy who
- 5:24Speaker 5: can make an impact.
- 5:24Speaker 2: If need big e Zach, I mean forever. The the
- 5:28Speaker 2: kind of the rule of thumb on the big colleges
- 5:30Speaker 2: recruiting was take a quarterback out of high school. Every
- 5:33Speaker 2: single year. You gotta take on because you got to
- 5:35Speaker 2: have people in that room. Never know who's going to
- 5:37Speaker 2: hit you, never know who's going to transfer. Whatever do
- 5:39Speaker 2: you do you put as much emphasis like you personally
- 5:42Speaker 2: do you put as much emphasis on that In this
- 5:44Speaker 2: day and age with the nil and the transfer portal
- 5:47Speaker 2: taking a quarterback out of high school every year, with
- 5:50Speaker 2: that kind of safety net that you have that you
- 5:53Speaker 2: can always go in the Nile.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's a great question. I think no,
- 5:58Speaker 5: if it's not as important anymore to go out and
- 6:00Speaker 5: get a quarterback in your transferport of class seats or
- 6:03Speaker 5: in your recruiting class. Each year, you can go out
- 6:05Speaker 5: into the portal and go get an instant impact player
- 6:08Speaker 5: if you need to. And I think a lot of
- 6:10Speaker 5: people obviously are sitting back and wanting to go get
- 6:13Speaker 5: a twenty twenty six signal caller, but people are forgetting
- 6:16Speaker 5: she went out and got Michael van Buren from the
- 6:18Speaker 5: transfer portal last year last offseason, rather so to make
- 6:22Speaker 5: that kind of falling behind and people are kind of
- 6:26Speaker 5: losing focus on that is. It's something that definitely blows
- 6:29Speaker 5: my mind a little bit. This is the guy who
- 6:31Speaker 5: started as a true freshman in the SEC put up
- 6:34Speaker 5: a fantastic game against Georgia on a really kind of
- 6:37Speaker 5: struggling Mississippi State team with a lack of weapons. So
- 6:40Speaker 5: we know ELISU always has weapons on the outside. I'd
- 6:43Speaker 5: like to give Michael van Buren a little bit of
- 6:45Speaker 5: a chance as well too, just a guy who's a
- 6:47Speaker 5: youngster and has a bright future in the game, of course.
- 6:50Speaker 5: But like you were saying, if you need to hit
- 6:52Speaker 5: the portal, what you're likely going to do. I think
- 6:54Speaker 5: they're gonna do that and move forward is something that
- 6:56Speaker 5: I'm intrigued to see unfold this ball.
- 7:00Speaker 3: So Zach, when you look at this class, it does have,
- 7:02Speaker 3: you know, a lot of positions kind of taken care
- 7:05Speaker 3: of right now if you can hold on and get
- 7:06Speaker 3: to the finish line like we talked about, But where
- 7:08Speaker 3: do you think LSU needs to continue to work they
- 7:11Speaker 3: need to add? Is quarterback maybe now priority number one?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Or is there somewhere else?
- 7:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I think quarterbacks obviously going to be one that
- 7:19Speaker 5: see them try to intensify a flip pursuit of this fall.
- 7:22Speaker 5: But the wide receiver room is one that you just
- 7:24Speaker 5: got to hold on to. Man, you got Tristan Key's
- 7:27Speaker 5: the number one wide out in America, fleds to your team.
- 7:29Speaker 5: You got your Bari Max Kenny Darby. Those two guys
- 7:32Speaker 5: have shut down their process and said that they're going
- 7:34Speaker 5: to make their way through. But the one that you
- 7:37Speaker 5: got to keep pushing for is Tristan Key, a guy
- 7:40Speaker 5: who's really really had interest from every school in the
- 7:43Speaker 5: country for good reason, taking his fair share of visits
- 7:46Speaker 5: to Tennessee, A and m Miami, etc. So she's really
- 7:50Speaker 5: gonna have to keep their foot on the gas here.
- 7:52Speaker 5: This is one that you kind of have got to get,
- 7:54Speaker 5: that must have you got to get make his way
- 7:56Speaker 5: to campus. And they're also not done at that wide
- 7:59Speaker 5: receiver position. You're going to see them try to turn
- 8:02Speaker 5: up the heat for Jason Matthews, one of the top
- 8:04Speaker 5: wide outs in Mississippi as well. The goal for this
- 8:07Speaker 5: program is to get four wide receivers in the class.
- 8:10Speaker 5: It got three committed and so moving forward, kind of
- 8:14Speaker 5: that need for this team is to a keep christ
- 8:16Speaker 5: and Keys in the class and b go out and
- 8:19Speaker 5: get another receiver to add to that embarrassment of riches
- 8:21Speaker 5: that you got at the wide out position. I think
- 8:24Speaker 5: this fall is going to bring a lot of twists
- 8:25Speaker 5: and turns. It's going to be exciting to see how
- 8:27Speaker 5: this staff navigates it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Yeah, we about ten fifteen years ago kind of LSU
- 8:32Speaker 2: coined the phrase DBU and it's been more like wide
- 8:35Speaker 2: receiver you recently in the recent history at the LSU
- 8:39Speaker 2: program with a lot of success. You just talked about
- 8:41Speaker 2: the wide receivers, but like talk about secondary corner safety,
- 8:46Speaker 2: any commitments that we have, any people on the radar,
- 8:49Speaker 2: How is that class shaping up and are we going
- 8:52Speaker 2: to be able to see us kind of get back
- 8:53Speaker 2: to that DBU status.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Yeah, Corey Raymonds is a recruiting guru, and I think
- 8:59Speaker 5: the whole world knows that the guy who gets what
- 9:01Speaker 5: he wants. We saw him do it in the twenty
- 9:04Speaker 5: twenty five cycle with DJ Pickett, and this is a
- 9:06Speaker 5: six to four, one hundred and ninety pound menace, the
- 9:08Speaker 5: guy who's really ready to make it sit impact in
- 9:10Speaker 5: year one and so he's proven that he's willing to
- 9:13Speaker 5: do what he can to bring back that DBU catchphrase,
- 9:16Speaker 5: of course, and now you're starting to see him do
- 9:18Speaker 5: it in the twenty twenty sixth class as well. Go
- 9:20Speaker 5: out to the West Coast and get Haven. Finney Junior
- 9:23Speaker 5: is one that definitely needs a little bit more of
- 9:24Speaker 5: a tension. I think he's getting swept under the rug
- 9:26Speaker 5: a little bit. As the top ten cornerback in the
- 9:29Speaker 5: country player who was the top cornerback in the twenty
- 9:32Speaker 5: twenty seven cycle before reclassing and moving up to a
- 9:36Speaker 5: senior year and going into the twenty twenty sixth class.
- 9:39Speaker 5: So Haven Finny's a guy that can come in and
- 9:42Speaker 5: help bring back that DDU kind of culture in Baton Rouge.
- 9:46Speaker 5: And then he got Isaiah Washington, a player that I
- 9:48Speaker 5: want to talk about too. Man, He's special. He's a
- 9:51Speaker 5: guy who's gonna come in being recruited as a defensive back.
- 9:54Speaker 5: He's a two way star on the prep seam, but
- 9:56Speaker 5: I think you could see his recruiting ranking rise in
- 9:59Speaker 5: the next up dates. Is the guy who has a
- 10:01Speaker 5: ton of buzz, generating a ton of buzz within this
- 10:04Speaker 5: coaching staff, a player that they wanted in the twenty
- 10:07Speaker 5: twenty sixth Hall got them to shut things down on
- 10:09Speaker 5: July fourth, and I think if he continues to evolve,
- 10:12Speaker 5: I think the player that could be a big time
- 10:14Speaker 5: guy for the Tigers moving forward. So yeah, a lot
- 10:18Speaker 5: of people want to talk about wide receiver you right now.
- 10:20Speaker 5: But obviously that DDU phrase is coming back. Corey Raymonds
- 10:23Speaker 5: helped doing that. He's obviously the architect of it. And
- 10:26Speaker 5: I think you're starting to see guys like Havin Finney,
- 10:28Speaker 5: Isaiah Washington etc. Start to epitomize that moving forward, as we.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Look at the state of Louisiana, pretty much every top player,
- 10:36Speaker 3: no matter what site you're looking at, the top ten
- 10:38Speaker 3: is already committed somewhere. A bull of those are two LSU.
- 10:42Speaker 3: You've got three or four depending on where you're looking
- 10:45Speaker 3: committed elsewhere. Is there anybody Zach in that groove that
- 10:49Speaker 3: you think LSU has an opportunity to maybe flip them
- 10:52Speaker 3: and have them sign with the Tigers.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I think when you look at that top ten
- 10:57Speaker 5: right now, I think the program's got what seven or
- 10:59Speaker 5: eight for the top ten players in Louisiana committed so far,
- 11:04Speaker 5: the two kind of being Dylan Barremont and Blame Bradford
- 11:07Speaker 5: of course, kind of that crown jewel the defensive backfield.
- 11:11Speaker 5: So I think Blame Bradford has kind of shut things
- 11:13Speaker 5: down for the most part when it comes to the
- 11:15Speaker 5: Ohio State Buckeyes and being pledged that way. Obviously one
- 11:19Speaker 5: of the top players in America for a good reason.
- 11:21Speaker 5: He's an absolute stud at a Catholic high So for me,
- 11:24Speaker 5: I think they're pretty much done in the top ten.
- 11:27Speaker 5: I couldn't envision Barmont flipping the LSU, they got a
- 11:31Speaker 5: ton of defensive linemen in this class. But for me,
- 11:34Speaker 5: when I'm looking at kind of the top fifteen, top
- 11:36Speaker 5: twenty players in the state, Darius McKinley is a guy
- 11:39Speaker 5: who kind of piques my interest as a player that
- 11:41Speaker 5: LSU could lay in in this twenty twenty sixth class.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Obviously got some family ties to Dominic McKinley, a former
- 11:48Speaker 5: five star top player in the state. So for me,
- 11:51Speaker 5: Darius McKinley the guy that I kind of circle as
- 11:53Speaker 5: one that could join this twenty twenty sixth class if
- 11:56Speaker 5: they continue to intensify that pursuit. Obviously a fantastic player,
- 12:00Speaker 5: but when it comes to that top tense blame Bradford
- 12:02Speaker 5: has showing his intentions when it comes to Ohio State.
- 12:05Speaker 5: And then Bearmont's a guy that's obviously a position that
- 12:07Speaker 5: LSU's kind of loaded up in right now.
- 12:10Speaker 2: So a second ago, you brought up Corey Raymond and
- 12:12Speaker 2: the impact and the kind of the recruiting guru that
- 12:14Speaker 2: he is, the impact he has on the defensive backs.
- 12:17Speaker 2: But I want to ask, with this recent success on
- 12:20Speaker 2: the defensive line, what rumblings any rumors that you've heard
- 12:25Speaker 2: about the impact that the new hire of Kyle Williams
- 12:28Speaker 2: has had on that recruiting because as a former teammate
- 12:31Speaker 2: of his and a couple of different teams, I can
- 12:33Speaker 2: tell you there's not a guy that's better at talking
- 12:37Speaker 2: in a room one on one that you can feel
- 12:41Speaker 2: his passionate about what he does in the sport and
- 12:43Speaker 2: is such a great motivator and a speaker to people
- 12:46Speaker 2: like so, I just I have to believe that he
- 12:50Speaker 2: has had a huge, huge impact on the recruiting trail
- 12:54Speaker 2: and a guy that these people, these players, these high
- 12:56Speaker 2: school kids want to come and play for.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I think obviously Kevin Peeples is getting a ton
- 13:03Speaker 5: of respect and flowers right now, as you should. He's
- 13:06Speaker 5: dominating right now. But the one two punts of him
- 13:09Speaker 5: and Kyle Williams is one that needs to be getting
- 13:11Speaker 5: more attention as well. Like you alluded to there for
- 13:14Speaker 5: him to make the transition to being a college coach
- 13:17Speaker 5: at LSU and the maintaining the players on roster is
- 13:21Speaker 5: something that's extremely important. That's recruiting efforts in itself to
- 13:24Speaker 5: keep those guys committed and locked in with the program
- 13:27Speaker 5: like in a mod bro dominic McKinley, etc. To keep
- 13:31Speaker 5: them in Baton Rouge is a huge recruiting effort itself.
- 13:34Speaker 5: And then you pair him with Kevin Peeples in the
- 13:37Speaker 5: recruiting scene on high school and to keep Richard Anderson
- 13:40Speaker 5: committed to the program, go out and get guys liked
- 13:43Speaker 5: Anthony Lafiette, Lamar Brown, etc. The recruiting efforts that he's
- 13:47Speaker 5: putting forth obviously is significant. I don't think it's getting
- 13:52Speaker 5: enough attention. But that's the guy that commands the room
- 13:54Speaker 5: when he walks in it. Obviously that NFL pedigree, been
- 13:57Speaker 5: around the block, been there, done that. Obviously, it can
- 14:00Speaker 5: uh talk to anybody, talk to talk to a wall.
- 14:03Speaker 5: That is the guy that knows what he's talking about,
- 14:05Speaker 5: knows this stuff. When recruits hear him speak, they know
- 14:08Speaker 5: that they're talking to a guru. So yeah, I think
- 14:11Speaker 5: Hevin People's is getting a ton of attention right now, rightfully,
- 14:13Speaker 5: So Kyle Williams the guy that deserves that respect as well.
- 14:16Speaker 3: On the recruiting scene, are there, he is zachnag, you're
- 14:20Speaker 3: good enough to join us and break it all down
- 14:22Speaker 3: When it comes to L s U recruiting again, does
- 14:24Speaker 3: a great job covering L s U for s I, Zach,
- 14:26Speaker 3: we appreciate the time, thanks for hopping on with us,
- 14:28Speaker 3: and thanks.
- 14:29Speaker 4: For the insight.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Appreciate our man.
- 14:31Speaker 4: All right you as well. We up to nine great
- 14:36Speaker 4: questions for Flynn.
- 14:39Speaker 6: He has a lot of great questions.
- 14:41Speaker 4: No, Lewis is just hitting the sky right. Well, I
- 14:48Speaker 4: don't know.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I don't know if Lewis actually touches grass, So maybe
- 14:51Speaker 3: maybe he's punching.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Great questions. I did I said a word I said
- 14:57Speaker 2: in the n I L and that's meant to say
- 14:59Speaker 2: the poor.
- 15:00Speaker 7: It's okay, I mean.
- 15:04Speaker 6: You're yeah.
- 15:05Speaker 7: You also got a million dollar question, which I don't
- 15:07Speaker 7: know where we rank those.
- 15:10Speaker 6: A million dollar.
- 15:13Speaker 7: That's the million dollar question when you said.
- 15:17Speaker 4: It can't have money, heater.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Let me let me just bring something that from that
- 15:23Speaker 2: from his answer, there is the impact that Kyle Williams
- 15:28Speaker 2: has had on recruiting. I can only imagine has been
- 15:33Speaker 2: very significant, if not huge, because that guy is uh.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I can only like I know him very well. I
- 15:42Speaker 2: know how he talks and speaks. And if he's sitting
- 15:44Speaker 2: there talking to somebody that's in high school, and that
- 15:47Speaker 2: high school kid is trying to decide on what coach
- 15:50Speaker 2: he wants to be in a room with every single
- 15:52Speaker 2: day for his career. I would imagine that Kyle Williams
- 15:58Speaker 2: is head and shoulders above any other defensive line coach
- 16:02Speaker 2: that he would sit in a room with at any
- 16:04Speaker 2: other school.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I can't agree more because of who he was as
- 16:10Speaker 3: a player, who he is as a human being, as
- 16:13Speaker 3: a motivated I said the way that he motivated. And
- 16:17Speaker 3: I was on teammates with him for I think two seasons,
- 16:21Speaker 3: but that's all I needed to see.
- 16:22Speaker 4: And I had to play against the guy in the
- 16:24Speaker 4: NFL YEP, and you see.
- 16:25Speaker 3: The videos, you hear the stories from people that played,
- 16:28Speaker 3: you know, eight nine, ten years with him in Buffalo,
- 16:32Speaker 3: that is. And the thing I love about Kyle, And
- 16:34Speaker 3: if you've ever met him, you know this, He's not
- 16:36Speaker 3: going to sugarcoat it either. Like as a parent, it
- 16:42Speaker 3: would be so refreshing for me to have somebody come
- 16:44Speaker 3: in there and just hey, here's what it is, here's
- 16:47Speaker 3: what it's going to be. And if we do a
- 16:50Speaker 3: B and C, we'll get you to the finish line,
- 16:52Speaker 3: which is getting drafted, walking across the stage and playing
- 16:56Speaker 3: at the next level.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Right, And this isn't this It's not about like putting
- 17:02Speaker 2: anybody down or saying saying anything like that. But Whenella's
- 17:05Speaker 2: shoot lost O Davis, it was a big hit, right,
- 17:09Speaker 2: it was out out of the blue. But then when
- 17:11Speaker 2: I heard they signed they were going to hire Kyle,
- 17:13Speaker 2: which I had no idea that was even an option,
- 17:15Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god. I was like, and
- 17:18Speaker 2: I don't know if like the term like upgrade or
- 17:21Speaker 2: anything like that hit my head, but I was like,
- 17:22Speaker 2: oh my god, they just got better at that position
- 17:26Speaker 2: from at least a recruiting standpoint of guys wanting to
- 17:29Speaker 2: be there, Like Kyle has didn't have the experience like
- 17:32Speaker 2: coaching on the field and everything like that. But go
- 17:34Speaker 2: back and watch there's clips of him like speaking to
- 17:37Speaker 2: the bills before games and in the locker room and stuff.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Just like go watch and said, that's the guy that
- 17:42Speaker 2: is recruiting now. And since he's been recruiting, we're pretty
- 17:47Speaker 2: much we're stacking up some wins on the recruiting jail.
- 17:52Speaker 3: All right, we'll be back more OTB here on one
- 17:54Speaker 3: of four five ESPN Ben Rooge.

- 18:42Speaker 2: it's industrial, if it's commercial. Whatever does I tell you
- 18:45Speaker 2: all the time. When we built our factory, they came
- 18:47Speaker 2: in and did everything. I didn't know how to do
- 18:49Speaker 2: this or what to do. I asked them. I told
- 18:51Speaker 2: them what the goal was for our company, and they
- 18:53Speaker 2: went in there, built the plan out, installed at central
- 18:56Speaker 2: Plumbing dot org. Central Plumbing dot Org.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven, Champs purple and gold to the core.
- 19:09Speaker 1: This is off the bench with Hester and Flynn Matton.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Rouge is go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 19:20Speaker 8: Discott is Bud god thou Ecuss, Goddess good frequent.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Alright, welcome back again, one four five esp and baton Rouge.
- 19:52Speaker 3: This is when you know Elana just feeling good. She's
- 19:55Speaker 3: in a good mood. Ready to go, I really am.
- 19:58Speaker 6: I would love a thoseecies right now.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we should bring something.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Sure, we probably have some more in here. Yeah, right there, guys,
- 20:06Speaker 4: I just switch.
- 20:08Speaker 9: You know, they always listen to music and English.
- 20:14Speaker 4: We do.
- 20:14Speaker 3: We do guiltiest charge with the English. Speaking of one
- 20:19Speaker 3: of the secies, what are the what are the weekend plans?
- 20:22Speaker 6: I don't have any.
- 20:23Speaker 3: I don't think Alandra has anything. I think that's why
- 20:25Speaker 3: she's in such a good move.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Yeah that is right. I do love not doing anything.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Crave a boring weekend.
- 20:31Speaker 9: This is like, okay, so summertime for all of us
- 20:35Speaker 9: is so dead, and this is like the time for
- 20:38Speaker 9: me to catch my breath because once football season starts,
- 20:42Speaker 9: it is underwater, underwater until now again, like because it's
- 20:46Speaker 9: football season and then basketball crosses over.
- 20:52Speaker 6: The jury is still out on that.
- 20:54Speaker 9: But and then basketball crosses over, and then softball and
- 21:00Speaker 9: baseball crossover with basketball, and then obviously baseball is super
- 21:03Speaker 9: busy as well. So it's just right now, you're just
- 21:06Speaker 9: trying to like chill out and catch your breath and
- 21:09Speaker 9: get your life together before the chaos ensues. I tried
- 21:12Speaker 9: to take like a little vacation before too, But yeah,
- 21:15Speaker 9: I don't.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I don't really know that it's gonna affect you too
- 21:19Speaker 3: much talking to Flynn here, So for all.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Of us we have to do yeah, yeah, a little lane.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yet in the fall, Taylor and Landra have produced more shows.
- 21:33Speaker 4: You travel. I don't know if you I don't know.
- 21:36Speaker 4: I don't I don't know.
- 21:36Speaker 6: What the I'm personally not gonna do whiskey and wine.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Okay, I did. Look, I didn't want to say, you're not.
- 21:42Speaker 6: I'm not going to. I don't know what the plan
- 21:44Speaker 6: for it is.
- 21:44Speaker 4: No, I have no idea was doing it.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Oh Flynn, you're doing it.
- 21:51Speaker 10: No.
- 21:51Speaker 2: People in the chat have asked me if I was.
- 21:54Speaker 5: No.
- 21:54Speaker 6: Maybe I think i've you like white Claus.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Who doesn't claws show me someone that doesn't like I
- 22:04Speaker 2: saw you a liar.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I have only indulged in white claws one time. Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 3: and it was for Flint's birthday.
- 22:11Speaker 6: I like white claws, but I kind of like it's.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Like, it's like what you had available, and yeah, me
- 22:16Speaker 3: you t Bob Dick Dixon, will Arnold Sherry, the cheery.
- 22:23Speaker 4: I don't know. We had a lot of a lot
- 22:25Speaker 4: of claws that day. And there was a lot of.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Uh ain't no laws when you're drinking class.
- 22:31Speaker 7: When they first got really really popular, I was in college,
- 22:34Speaker 7: so like, I went and bought a little like variety
- 22:37Speaker 7: pack and I like four different flavors in them. It's
- 22:39Speaker 7: not that they were bad. It's just like the black
- 22:42Speaker 7: cherry and the lime just kind of tasted the same.
- 22:45Speaker 7: There wasn't like a ton of flavor. It's like a
- 22:47Speaker 7: skittle pack. Yeah, yeah, kind of like the red skin
- 22:50Speaker 7: on the green skittle.
- 22:51Speaker 2: There might be a little different.
- 22:53Speaker 4: I feel like, I feel like you can tell a
- 22:56Speaker 4: difference in a skittle.
- 22:57Speaker 9: No, I think so, I don't believe, But it's not
- 23:02Speaker 9: a huge different all right, there's some different notes there.
- 23:06Speaker 4: I'm hanging up.
- 23:08Speaker 9: My smoke smelling clothes and my my uh smoke smelling hats,
- 23:14Speaker 9: my don Juan hat that I wear every time I
- 23:16Speaker 9: go to Don Juan's in my hair. I try to
- 23:18Speaker 9: save it as much as I can, but it doesn't work.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah, So I didn't, you know, I didn't know the plan,
- 23:24Speaker 3: and I just knew, like you know, both of y'all
- 23:26Speaker 3: do extra stuff during the fall and coaches shows and
- 23:29Speaker 3: different things. And I do have to travel to the games,
- 23:32Speaker 3: and we travel for serious XM too. We have like
- 23:35Speaker 3: four or five every year that we go to and
- 23:38Speaker 3: cover those games, and so just on the road a
- 23:40Speaker 3: little bit more.
- 23:41Speaker 4: But for you, nothing really changes, so I don't want
- 23:44Speaker 4: to hear.
- 23:44Speaker 2: You it's huge.
- 23:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Actually summer is my busiest time just because of you know,
- 23:52Speaker 2: hydration company. You know, it's pretty hot in the summer.
- 23:54Speaker 2: So that's like when we actually hear in Louisiana. You
- 23:57Speaker 2: could use it anytime com drinking my high doc.
- 24:01Speaker 9: I haven't told our our program director, Matt Moscona, that
- 24:05Speaker 9: I'm not doing it yet, So.
- 24:12Speaker 4: He's probably gonna come down here. He's probably gonna be
- 24:14Speaker 4: waiting on you outside the door here.
- 24:15Speaker 9: I'm retiring, I don't know, I don't know, but he's
- 24:18Speaker 9: probably listening, hanging up the jersey.
- 24:20Speaker 6: I'm hanging up the jersey two years.
- 24:23Speaker 3: There's a lot of you know, just.
- 24:29Speaker 6: There's a lot of stuff on tape.
- 24:31Speaker 4: And doing things to a blow up pig that you
- 24:34Speaker 4: should never do.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I would say that show, more so than this show,
- 24:39Speaker 2: would be like the hardest to replace because.
- 24:43Speaker 6: It's the so just I would say.
- 24:46Speaker 2: People know about whiskey line yelling.
- 24:49Speaker 9: And I have gotten more questions about whiskey and wine
- 24:52Speaker 9: than I have about anything else.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I mean, I'm be honest with you. When T Boby
- 24:57Speaker 3: decided to leave every question that I got, it wasn't like, Okay,
- 25:02Speaker 3: what's going to happen with OTB?
- 25:05Speaker 4: What's gonna happen with whiskey and wine?
- 25:07Speaker 3: I'm talking about like if I got one hundred questions,
- 25:10Speaker 3: ninety two of them or whiskey and wine, and eight
- 25:13Speaker 3: were OTB. Because of what Matt just said, you can't
- 25:18Speaker 3: replace T Bob.
- 25:19Speaker 2: On that show.
- 25:21Speaker 7: Matt, you could go out there and hamp on inflatable
- 25:24Speaker 7: hol like T bub did you can do that?
- 25:26Speaker 9: That sure is just texting me, he said, working on
- 25:29Speaker 9: the Whiskey and White Claw graphic as we speak. So
- 25:31Speaker 9: you're you're in Flynn.
- 25:35Speaker 4: You like Flynn?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think.
- 25:38Speaker 6: You said sorry accepting my retirement.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Are you checking my letter?
- 25:43Speaker 6: Are you accepting my retirement?
- 25:44Speaker 2: My children are old enough to where they figured out
- 25:47Speaker 2: how to use YouTube. I don't know if I could
- 25:49Speaker 2: consciously do that.
- 25:51Speaker 4: We don't have to be you know, you know as wild.
- 25:56Speaker 2: And when I watched LSU football game, I'm pretty interesting.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I usually like to watch them at my house with
- 26:04Speaker 2: nobody there, I mean my family there. But I don't
- 26:06Speaker 2: like to have like a watch party or be somewhere
- 26:08Speaker 2: because I get like so locked into the game. I
- 26:11Speaker 2: have a big TV in my living room and I'm
- 26:12Speaker 2: like eight inches from it, like watching it, Like I'm
- 26:15Speaker 2: so close to it. I got to move my head
- 26:17Speaker 2: left and right like to see things, and I yell
- 26:22Speaker 2: a lot. I get intense and I feel like I'm
- 26:23Speaker 2: in the game. And so I don't like to go
- 26:26Speaker 2: to watch parties where I can't hear yeah, like the sound.
- 26:29Speaker 4: And might here. So you turn the TV down and
- 26:32Speaker 4: turn me and blair up.
- 26:33Speaker 7: Yeah you're talking about I get you for sure. Like
- 26:37Speaker 7: the only time I ever have a watch party yeah
- 26:40Speaker 7: is like wow superbos because like, let's remember, I'm a
- 26:44Speaker 7: Cowboys fan. My team's never in the super Bowl, so
- 26:46Speaker 7: I don't really care. So it's like that's I'll have
- 26:48Speaker 7: a watch party for that. But fellowshoe, yeah, no, I'm
- 26:50Speaker 7: kind I'm kind of with you, yeah, and just sit
- 26:52Speaker 7: home and get mad.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I don't want I don't want somebody else to have
- 26:56Speaker 3: to experience watching LSU with me.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Like it's not like I don't want them there. I
- 27:01Speaker 4: don't want them to have to go through that, right.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It's not fun for anybody around me. I don't think.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I mean, I tried to be conscious, a little self
- 27:09Speaker 2: aware if you will, of my surroundings and what I'm
- 27:13Speaker 2: doing insane, But when you're watching LSU, it's just like,
- 27:17Speaker 2: not just leave me alone, let me watch this game.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I know, I don't want to come over to a
- 27:22Speaker 2: pool party because you're watching it outside in your outdoor kitchen.
- 27:25Speaker 4: I don't want to do that.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I want to send my liver room controlled environment. I
- 27:28Speaker 2: want to have the see on to like sixty eight
- 27:31Speaker 2: degrees and I want to watch this thing. That's why
- 27:34Speaker 2: we go to like a couple of like physically go
- 27:36Speaker 2: to a couple of games a year. I mean, for one,
- 27:38Speaker 2: you know, it's like it was challenging with like younger kids.
- 27:41Speaker 2: But my kids are starting to get to that age
- 27:42Speaker 2: where they want to go a little bit more. So
- 27:44Speaker 2: we're gonna we're gonna go to some more games this year.
- 27:46Speaker 2: But I like to be locked in the living room.
- 27:50Speaker 4: With the TV turned down and the radio turned up.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Well, yeah, so did you. I used to go to
- 27:55Speaker 2: games as a kid, and you set and my dad
- 27:59Speaker 2: used to sit with his little little radio and he
- 28:03Speaker 2: had his headphones on at the game and the bleachers. Yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 2: anybody out there do that. They still do that. They
- 28:08Speaker 2: still do a ton of people still do that. Yeah,
- 28:10Speaker 2: that's what I do in my liver room listening to you.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I don't believe you.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Because we would be ahead if we were on your
- 28:20Speaker 3: headphones and you're watching on TV. That's why Chris Blair
- 28:24Speaker 3: always says, before we get started to sync up with
- 28:28Speaker 3: the call and the TV.
- 28:29Speaker 2: How do you do that?
- 28:32Speaker 7: He explains it on the commercial.
- 28:33Speaker 9: On you pause the TV and then because the TV
- 28:38Speaker 9: is behind or ahead, so you pause a TV and.
- 28:41Speaker 2: You wait, he's ahead.
- 28:42Speaker 6: That's what the commercials said.
- 28:44Speaker 4: That's what.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Ra ahead.
- 28:48Speaker 6: You can pause the stream.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Yeah, like you do it.
- 28:50Speaker 3: On like your Alexa and yeah, you're not you're not
- 28:54Speaker 3: turning on the radio.
- 28:55Speaker 7: You doing so like pause the app, let the TV
- 28:58Speaker 7: catch you up.
- 28:59Speaker 2: You use it Siri to listen to radio. Isn't that
- 29:02Speaker 2: what like radios are for?
- 29:03Speaker 3: You can't like, hey, Siri, play one, O four five, ESPN, Baton,
- 29:07Speaker 3: rouge and up.
- 29:08Speaker 2: You have to have like a radio app to listen
- 29:09Speaker 2: to regular.
- 29:12Speaker 4: What are you just like?
- 29:13Speaker 2: You know, I've never listened to FM radio on my
- 29:17Speaker 2: cell phone. Sorry.
- 29:20Speaker 7: It's probably a lot of easier now, but like I
- 29:22Speaker 7: used to get so pissed because at the stadium one
- 29:25Speaker 7: time my dad bought the Lawyer piece like the LSU sold.
- 29:27Speaker 7: All you did was turn it on and it was
- 29:29Speaker 7: one like that's it. You have to see a kid.
- 29:31Speaker 7: It did nothing else but for away games. We're sitting
- 29:35Speaker 7: on the couch. He's still listening to the call. This
- 29:38Speaker 7: is Hawthor one at the time and it's l s
- 29:40Speaker 7: U Georgia. You guys remember the big Charles Scott run
- 29:43Speaker 7: when they were in Athens. Okay, sitting on the couch.
- 29:46Speaker 7: Uls she was going for the winning drive, you know,
- 29:48Speaker 7: fourth quarter, five minutes left. All of a sudden, I'm
- 29:51Speaker 7: sitting on one couch. My dad's on the other. He
- 29:54Speaker 7: puts his hands in the air and starts cheering. He's like, yes,
- 29:57Speaker 7: Charles Scott, I'm like, what the hell just happened to
- 29:59Speaker 7: the next playf watching it, I'm like, this moment is
- 30:01Speaker 7: ruined for me. Oh my god, didn't even I didn't
- 30:03Speaker 7: even cheer. I'm like this, this is ruined for me.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Yeah, even like when the TV in the same home
- 30:08Speaker 3: is ahead a little bit.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 3: So my son was watching LSU Coastal Game one when
- 30:14Speaker 3: Caid you know, went the distance and when they got
- 30:16Speaker 3: the final out, like we were about eight nine seconds behind,
- 30:18Speaker 3: he comes out, let's go, and I'm like, I'm going,
- 30:23Speaker 3: that's happy because LSU won.
- 30:25Speaker 9: Yeah, I know. I was trying to refrain from texting
- 30:28Speaker 9: the group until like a few seconds you were you
- 30:32Speaker 9: were actually boots on the ground.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm trying to think LSU made a big field goal.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Maybe it was it might have been the Kaid York
- 30:40Speaker 4: in the fall.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Or I was watching it by myself because I'm not
- 30:43Speaker 3: watching LSU Florida with anybody.
- 30:46Speaker 4: There's nobody that's not gonna happen. Nobody wants to be
- 30:49Speaker 4: around me.
- 30:50Speaker 3: I have to now because I'm calling the game now, yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 3: seventeen pencils are broken. But I didn't know. Like so
- 30:57Speaker 3: my room was hardwired. Everything else was like wireless. So
- 31:00Speaker 3: I was getting it a lot faster than everybody else.
- 31:03Speaker 3: And typically, like I wouldn't run that, but man, I
- 31:06Speaker 3: came out of the room sprinting because I mean, look, kay,
- 31:09Speaker 3: we were twenty one point dogs to Florida on the
- 31:12Speaker 3: road and a guy throws a cleat and because of that,
- 31:15Speaker 3: we get to kick a field goal that nobody could
- 31:17Speaker 3: see where the field goal posts actually were, but he
- 31:20Speaker 3: nails it right down the middle.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Was fifty six, fifty seven yards whatever it was.
- 31:26Speaker 3: And so yeah, everybody in the home knew who he
- 31:29Speaker 3: made that field goal before they saw it.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I don't know about y'all, but like, just this whole
- 31:34Speaker 2: conversation has got me so ready for football.
- 31:37Speaker 6: So ready.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm so excited.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Some would say, let's go, if you want it, you

- 33:58Speaker 2: All right?
- 33:59Speaker 4: So trading car.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Update, that's T and I. We decided to bring our
- 34:07Speaker 2: couple of sports cards in today, our bangers that we
- 34:09Speaker 2: got right now. We're gonna get these prepped and ready
- 34:12Speaker 2: and shipped off to be graded. We're gonna we might
- 34:16Speaker 2: do a little rush grade.
- 34:16Speaker 4: On these ones too.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Yeah we might, like, yeah, we we might, you know,
- 34:20Speaker 3: dabble a card game. Check out off the break La
- 34:24Speaker 3: that stands for Louisiana, not Lower Alabama or Los Angeles
- 34:28Speaker 3: Off the break La on Instagram or x to kind
- 34:31Speaker 3: of follow along this journey.
- 34:33Speaker 4: But we've uh, we've got some heavy hitters.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Got some heavy hit we brought the we're sending off
- 34:37Speaker 3: to p s A to get graded, and uh, should
- 34:40Speaker 3: we go through them now?
- 34:41Speaker 4: I think we should? All right, yeah, looks out for
- 34:43Speaker 4: the video.
- 34:44Speaker 2: We go through a couple here, we'll go through the
- 34:46Speaker 2: other couple maybe maybe in a few segments. This is
- 34:50Speaker 2: the number one right here. Well that's not the number one.
- 34:51Speaker 2: We got a couple number ones. Check this one out.
- 34:54Speaker 2: This one's called Jane Daniels Downtown. He's pretty good.
- 34:59Speaker 4: I ever heard of it.
- 35:00Speaker 2: We're gonna send this one off to get graded. It'd
- 35:02Speaker 2: be really nice if we got a ten. Let's see,
- 35:05Speaker 2: we got Caleb Williams. You want to play? This one
- 35:08Speaker 2: is international select.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you can only so you can only get the
- 35:12Speaker 3: dragon scale on the international boxes, and that has a
- 35:17Speaker 3: very Game of Thrones feel to it. With the dragon scale.
- 35:20Speaker 3: This is a gold drag Art is a gold dragon.
- 35:23Speaker 3: That's the best dragon scale that you can get. It's
- 35:25Speaker 3: out of ten, so only ten of these made a
- 35:27Speaker 3: couple of double doll hairs and Flynn's hands over.
- 35:30Speaker 2: There, right, last one I'll bring up right now.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Rock Bowers white Pandora, white Pandora uptowns, so you want
- 35:38Speaker 3: uptowns in downtowns. But this is a white Pandora. So
- 35:41Speaker 3: there's only twenty five of these maids.
- 35:44Speaker 2: This is number ten of twenty five.
- 35:45Speaker 4: It is. It's the only good thing the Raiders have
- 35:47Speaker 4: ever done.
- 35:47Speaker 2: So we're sending these off. We with our ex huge
- 35:51Speaker 2: expertise and this stuff, we deemed these good looking enough
- 35:56Speaker 2: to grade. So we're gonna send this off. We'll keep
- 36:00Speaker 2: you all informed on the journey here. We we're gonna
- 36:04Speaker 2: pray for tens. No, like Billy Bob said, a ten,
- 36:13Speaker 2: what else you say?
- 36:16Speaker 3: A real good ten, A real good ten, real good ten.
- 36:20Speaker 3: All right, have you found that video yet?
- 36:24Speaker 4: Oh? That's okay?
- 36:25Speaker 7: Yes, I told you late, No, I haven't. I just
- 36:28Speaker 7: Instagram's form.
- 36:29Speaker 4: That's weird.
- 36:30Speaker 7: I gotta like zoom man.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Give me one second, okay, Yeah, give you all a
- 36:35Speaker 2: tour breakdown.
- 36:36Speaker 4: Sure, Matt, I know you're dying to do it.
- 36:39Speaker 2: I hadn't really been falling in a lot because I've
- 36:41Speaker 2: been focused on my push ups and these cards in
- 36:43Speaker 2: the break.
- 36:46Speaker 4: So let me study up.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I told you earlier Todday lost his yellow jersey yesterday.
- 36:51Speaker 2: But one second, one second, yeah, the guy was in
- 36:55Speaker 2: the breakaway.
- 36:56Speaker 4: He was he can't make up one second, like you
- 36:58Speaker 4: can't push a little bit.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Harder well, he's not like a guy that's the guy
- 37:01Speaker 2: that has the old jersey, not a threat to win
- 37:04Speaker 2: the overall tour. So it's like sometimes they'll let those
- 37:06Speaker 2: guys are on a threat off on a breakaway, and
- 37:08Speaker 2: it just seems how it finishes.
- 37:10Speaker 4: There's there's there's too much here.
- 37:11Speaker 3: There's too there's too much, like, hey, let's let him
- 37:14Speaker 3: go back because we got this. Hey, it's called strategy. Hey,
- 37:18Speaker 3: this guy's a little bit faster than me today. Let's
- 37:21Speaker 3: a little him win.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Like it's a strategy win.
- 37:26Speaker 4: There's winners, and there's Look, you.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Can't just vot football team out on the field and
- 37:29Speaker 2: tell him to just go just go beat him up
- 37:31Speaker 2: and win. Gotta have a strategy, clock management, game plan.
- 37:36Speaker 4: All right, that's enough of that.
- 37:37Speaker 3: All right, Here is a video of a couple of
- 37:40Speaker 3: New Orleans Saints giving you their LS first Mount Rushmore.
- 37:44Speaker 3: It doesn't matter whatever however you're feeling.
- 37:50Speaker 9: Okay, dude, Okay, we're waiting.
- 37:57Speaker 12: Okay, let's start with Billy Cannon. I mean, he was
- 38:00Speaker 12: just legendary Heisman Trophy winner number two. For me, being
- 38:04Speaker 12: partly biased, I have to put Patrick Peterson in there.
- 38:07Speaker 12: I just thought he just brought so much great attention
- 38:10Speaker 12: to the program, and he was somebody that I could really,
- 38:13Speaker 12: you know, look up.
- 38:13Speaker 4: To and follow.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Number three is Joe Burrow.
- 38:16Speaker 12: I thought, well he did an LSU was just you know,
- 38:19Speaker 12: like like, that's hard to do my fourth one my
- 38:22Speaker 12: surprise some people. But I would actually put Jayden Daniels
- 38:26Speaker 12: as my number four.
- 38:28Speaker 4: It surprised me, surprise me at all. He's on my
- 38:32Speaker 4: Mount Rushmore as well.
- 38:33Speaker 2: You got to put the three Heisman winners on there,
- 38:35Speaker 2: for sure.
- 38:36Speaker 4: You have to do that. And then you put Glen
- 38:37Speaker 4: Dorsey and then you're done.
- 38:39Speaker 3: All right, ta here is Falster Moros Mount Rushmore for
- 38:43Speaker 3: l s U Rushmore.
- 38:44Speaker 10: Is there any other It's just guys. It's just people.
- 38:48Speaker 10: Is It doesn't have to be offensive guys. He did
- 38:52Speaker 10: two and two. Didn't do himself. God, he's such a
- 38:56Speaker 10: nice guy. Man Brandon Harris, Anthony Jennings, Malki Dupree, Darius Guice,
- 39:02Speaker 10: what a guy will clap? I like that answer a lot, actually,
- 39:07Speaker 10: Lloyd Cushion Berry. Okay, let me think I'll do Danny
- 39:12Speaker 10: Etling four times. My LSU Mount Rushmore is Danny Etling
- 39:15Speaker 10: four times. I just want four of the perfect chin
- 39:19Speaker 10: structure and physique, his facial his sheer cheekbones.
- 39:24Speaker 2: What a guy.
- 39:25Speaker 10: Okay, I'll give you a real one. I'd say my
- 39:27Speaker 10: LSU Mount Rushmore is probably Billy Cannon. Glenn Dorsey is
- 39:32Speaker 10: a big one. Richard Dixon at the tight end, Dixon Ago,
- 39:37Speaker 10: Joey b Joe Burrow.
- 39:39Speaker 3: All right, all right, well done, well done, Fellas, nice
- 39:42Speaker 3: job there. I love the Richard Dixon. Shout out our
- 39:47Speaker 3: guy number eighteen. Let's go before before little In, before
- 39:53Speaker 3: Mason Taylor, our guy dig Dixon at every single record
- 39:56Speaker 3: that you possibly could have. And that's a time when
- 40:00Speaker 3: and you know, LSU didn't set a lot of passing records.
- 40:02Speaker 2: We weren't setting a lot and it wasn't like the
- 40:07Speaker 2: tight end was usually supposed to be like the highlight
- 40:09Speaker 2: of of our offense.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Yeah, because we had we had Wambo Buster Davis, both
- 40:14Speaker 3: first round receivers. Early was a third rounder. Demitrius burd
- 40:18Speaker 3: would have been higher than a seventh rounder. Unfortunately he
- 40:21Speaker 3: got in an accident.
- 40:22Speaker 7: So I mean La Phil was a study Jojo.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And Richard always to this day makes fun of
- 40:29Speaker 2: me and gives me a hard time because he scored
- 40:30Speaker 2: two touchdowns in the National Championship, says he should have
- 40:33Speaker 2: had three if I didn't throw a ball behind him. Well,
- 40:38Speaker 2: like I always tell him, it was on purpose because
- 40:41Speaker 2: I wanted to win the offense MVP and not you
- 40:43Speaker 2: having three receiving touchdowns. Yeah.
- 40:46Speaker 4: True, I only had won that game. But you know what,
- 40:49Speaker 4: Ohio stately had won that game.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Ohio State didn't give up one hundred yard rusher all season.
- 40:55Speaker 3: And I think I finished like eighty somewhere between eighty
- 40:58Speaker 3: four and eighty six, some eighty six eighty six right here.
- 41:02Speaker 3: And there was one run that I definitely should have
- 41:07Speaker 3: like just gone outside a little bit more, but I
- 41:09Speaker 3: was like, let me go, try to let me go,
- 41:11Speaker 3: try to run over Laronitis. Yeah, and I could have
- 41:13Speaker 3: picked up at least twenty more yards, and I would
- 41:16Speaker 3: have had I would have been the only guy to
- 41:17Speaker 3: rush for over one hundred yards on the buck Eyes
- 41:19Speaker 3: that year.
- 41:20Speaker 4: I don't think about it at all.
- 41:21Speaker 2: They didn't have one hundred. No, obviously, He's.
- 41:24Speaker 7: Like, I don't even remember. The play was second time to.
- 41:27Speaker 4: The left side. It's me and Laronidas one on one.
- 41:29Speaker 3: He's like bracing for impact because he knows what kind
- 41:31Speaker 3: of runner I am, because I'm a meathead. All I
- 41:34Speaker 3: had to do is like dip one inside, bounce outside.
- 41:37Speaker 3: I would have picked up fifteen twenty yards without one
- 41:39Speaker 3: hundred yards boom.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Only got to do it on them.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a that was certainly ah. A character
- 41:45Speaker 2: flaw of yours as a football player was that you
- 41:47Speaker 2: could have made a lot more yards if you just
- 41:49Speaker 2: weren't such a meathead and I wanted to hit people.
- 41:52Speaker 2: It's just like, bounce it, without question. Bounce it, Jake,
- 41:56Speaker 2: you could have made twenty said you went for four,
- 41:59Speaker 2: but you run him over.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I remember, and I'm a freshman and Derry Dooley's are
- 42:04Speaker 3: running back coach, and he's sitting there and we're watching film,
- 42:07Speaker 3: and I break one out into the open, and like
- 42:10Speaker 3: the corner is like fifteen yards to my left, the
- 42:12Speaker 3: safety is about seven yards to my right, and there's
- 42:15Speaker 3: nobody in front of me.
- 42:17Speaker 4: So it could have been like a fifty six yard
- 42:18Speaker 4: touchdown maybe.
- 42:20Speaker 3: And Duley's like, all right, see, he said, hester the
- 42:23Speaker 3: game of football, it's funny.
- 42:24Speaker 4: It's really complicated.
- 42:25Speaker 3: You see all this green grass right here that you
- 42:28Speaker 3: avoided running towards and you see the enemy that you
- 42:31Speaker 3: ran right in his direction. We want to run more
- 42:34Speaker 3: towards the green and less towards the enemy, you know, like, yes, sir.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Yes, sir, I will, but uh, you see, coach, when
- 42:42Speaker 2: I have the ball and I see the other team,
- 42:44Speaker 2: I just want to hit him. Yeah, so I'll try
- 42:48Speaker 2: it next time. No promises doing.
- 42:49Speaker 3: I know, I know, I probably could have had like
- 42:52Speaker 3: seven hundred more yards in my career.
- 42:53Speaker 4: But it's okay, though. We got memories.
- 42:55Speaker 2: But the CTE let me tell you, let me tell you.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Danny Etling four times is object actively a funny answer.
- 43:02Speaker 6: Great, awesome, Brandon Harris, right out the.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Brandon Harris, Anthony Jennings, Ye, shout out to Lloyd Cushionberry
- 43:08Speaker 3: as well.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm glad he got all right.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Look, we're gonna at some point we're getting Danny on
- 43:12Speaker 2: this show. We're gonnap it up about his career, his
- 43:16Speaker 2: post career. It's gonna be great.
- 43:19Speaker 3: All right, we'll close out hour number two when we
- 43:21Speaker 3: come back here on TV.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Off the bench, should we give like.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Our own Saints Mount Rushmore. I'm ready to go with that.
- 43:31Speaker 3: I got the names. I'm ready to go. Maplin definitely
- 43:33Speaker 3: not on there. Sure no, definitely not on the Alright,
- 43:36Speaker 3: go to Boo Drexelectrical dot Com. You know what happened yesterday.
- 43:40Speaker 3: I don't know if it happened to y'all. I'm doing
- 43:42Speaker 3: off campus old radio show I do Boom.
- 43:47Speaker 4: You heard it.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Everything went dark? But you know what happened immediately after that?
- 43:52Speaker 3: Right back up? I missed like maybe a minute thirty
- 43:57Speaker 3: seconds of the show after the power went out because
- 43:59Speaker 3: generator immediately kicked on.
- 44:02Speaker 4: All I had to do was logged right back in.
- 44:04Speaker 3: I was back on air because when you have a
- 44:07Speaker 3: whole home generator, you had the ultimate peace of mind.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I was actually walked into my kitchen yesterday and
- 44:11Speaker 2: I looked at my oven and the time was blinking,
- 44:15Speaker 2: and I was like, wait a minute, what happened? Did
- 44:17Speaker 2: the power go out? I had no clue because we
- 44:19Speaker 2: didn't even notice that it went out. It's because we
- 44:21Speaker 2: got a whole home generator. Boudrox Electrical dot Com.
- 44:27Speaker 1: From Players to Legends, Hester and Flynn breakdown l s
- 44:30Speaker 1: U Football like only champions can.
- 44:53Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in and O TV.
- 44:59Speaker 3: Okay your second here, you got your mount rushmore of
- 45:02Speaker 3: New Orleans Saints traded to go. I mean, summertime, you
- 45:04Speaker 3: gotta do a one mountain rushmore in the Saints with
- 45:07Speaker 3: LSU players. Why can't we do it with New Orleans Saints.
- 45:09Speaker 9: Remember we called it Mount Everest for like an entire show,
- 45:15Speaker 9: like our Mount Everest of LSU players.
- 45:18Speaker 4: It happens. I mean that's anywhere else, but it happens.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I mean Mount Everest is taller.
- 45:24Speaker 4: It is higher peak.
- 45:25Speaker 6: It's a good point.
- 45:27Speaker 2: So I kind of like that better.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Oh great, here you go changing names and things again.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Well, y'all you said you're the one that did it.
- 45:33Speaker 6: We did like an entire show. Yeah, and we say,
- 45:36Speaker 6: like somebody.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Pointed, I'm trying to be a fox soul and say,
- 45:39Speaker 2: I like what y'all did? Excuse me as a tour
- 45:46Speaker 2: going over there, we got twenty nine kilometers. That's kilometers?
- 45:51Speaker 6: How many miles?
- 45:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm American. Give me something that's eighteen. The peloton's
- 45:56Speaker 2: a minute two behind the breakaway of four riders for
- 45:58Speaker 2: the next.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Hour off the bench.
