- 0:01Speaker 1: It is in access to Mark by setting a pre
- 0:04Speaker 1: set in the iHeart Radio app for his live show
- 0:06Speaker 1: and his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone show
- 0:10Speaker 1: on wor Well, let's stick some calls. Let's go to
- 0:16Speaker 1: Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Doing, Good morning, Mark.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I'm doing very well.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Mark.
- 0:22Speaker 3: I saw this report in yesterday's Chicago Sun Times. Federal
- 0:26Speaker 3: judge ordered construction stopped for the White House ballroom. He
- 0:31Speaker 3: claims it needs congressional approval. Lastly, I thought President Trump
- 0:35Speaker 3: was paying for this project on his own. So I
- 0:38Speaker 3: really don't understand the problem here.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Well, it's a good question the president. The whole thing
- 0:43Speaker 1: is finance. Won't cost the taxpayer's assent. The judge declaring,
- 0:48Speaker 1: it's a left wing judge. You look at his picture
- 0:51Speaker 1: with the bow tie and the crazy eyebrows and death.
- 0:54Speaker 1: He's saying the President doesn't have the authority to make
- 0:57Speaker 1: massive alterations to the White House. He is nearly the steward,
- 1:01Speaker 1: not the owner of the White House. It needs congressional
- 1:03Speaker 1: approval maybe, but it's not. It's not, you know. In
- 1:10Speaker 1: other words, if the separation of powers, if the Congress
- 1:13Speaker 1: decides to remodel the capital. Does the President have to approve? No,
- 1:18Speaker 1: it's their building, it's the executive branch building, So why
- 1:22Speaker 1: would Congress have anything to say about it? And listen,
- 1:24Speaker 1: the ballroom obviously is a great idea. It's much needed.
- 1:29Speaker 1: They've always talked about needing this ballroom. And the fact is,
- 1:33Speaker 1: right now, this is probably the only time in history
- 1:35Speaker 1: this will ever happen. Right now, you've got a guy
- 1:37Speaker 1: in the White House who is the world expert on
- 1:39Speaker 1: building ballrooms. He's built spectacular ones all over the world.
- 1:43Speaker 1: So if you have a president who happens to be
- 1:45Speaker 1: the best ballroom builder on earth, maybe that's the time
- 1:47Speaker 1: to build the ballroom. They'll get it done quickly, efficiently,
- 1:51Speaker 1: for the right cost. It's not just the ballroom underneath,
- 1:54Speaker 1: there's a lot of room underneath it. That's where they're
- 1:56Speaker 1: going to put this security bunkers, uh, you know, the
- 2:01Speaker 1: special situation room, all sorts of important stuff under there.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It'll have to be appealed President, hopefully we'll win at
- 2:09Speaker 1: some point. Let's go to Long Island, Edward and Smithtown, Edward.
- 2:12Speaker 1: How you doing Hi? Thanks? Hey, you been to I've
- 2:17Speaker 1: got a great new restaurant in Smithtown. The Chaz, have
- 2:19Speaker 1: you been there? No, not yet. Rothman's opened Jerry Sparrow
- 2:26Speaker 1: and those guys opened a second place Smithtown.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Oh that's great, Okay, I will give that a try. Okay.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So uh, I always see West Texas uh intermediate crewede
- 2:38Speaker 2: mentioned with oil prices and what we pay for gasoline
- 2:42Speaker 2: in the United States. But uh, that's I'm sure it's related,
- 2:48Speaker 2: But in a way it's not because West Texas is
- 2:51Speaker 2: light sweet crewed and our refineries can't refine that.
- 2:55Speaker 1: No, they can't, they can they can. We use w
- 2:58Speaker 1: T I we use Brent crue, the one we don't
- 3:01Speaker 1: like it.
- 3:03Speaker 2: But but the majority of the crew that the refineries
- 3:07Speaker 2: can handle is heavy crude. I think that's why Trump.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Uh No, I know we use we use a West
- 3:13Speaker 1: Texas uh intermediate, we use Brent crude. We use all
- 3:16Speaker 1: that stuff. The one we don't want is this stuff
- 3:19Speaker 1: coming from the Straits ormouse. It's dirty, oily, awful, the
- 3:22Speaker 1: worst crude in the world. That's what China uses, it's
- 3:24Speaker 1: what India uses. A lot of Europe uses that. They
- 3:27Speaker 1: use a lot of Brent crude. Uh So why should
- 3:30Speaker 1: they raise the price here when we don't. We're not
- 3:32Speaker 1: affected by the Straits Army as well. UH Steve Moore
- 3:35Speaker 1: than great economists last Hour explained it. It is a
- 3:38Speaker 1: worldwide commodity, so it doesn't matter what happens in any
- 3:42Speaker 1: one country. The price is set worldwide. Let's go to
- 3:45Speaker 1: uh Maria in Westchester, Maria. How you doing.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Good?
- 3:50Speaker 1: How I'm good? Are you on your way to the moon?
- 3:55Speaker 1: You sound like you're in a space capsule?
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Let me see that much better now we can hear you?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Right right? Great.
- 4:04Speaker 5: So I'm here with my eleven year old grandson and
- 4:06Speaker 5: I put on maximone and about the last segment with
- 4:10Speaker 5: Google and Ai, and I said, you should listen to
- 4:13Speaker 5: walk them on because he knows he put it on.
- 4:14Speaker 5: He says, why do you have him on for? I said,
- 4:15Speaker 5: because Maxim always knows everything.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Is the kid listening? Now?
- 4:21Speaker 5: Is the kids with me? Now?
- 4:21Speaker 2: And he said, can you hear me?
- 4:23Speaker 5: He's not lying and he's telling Yes. Does he know
- 4:25Speaker 5: he's not lying and telling the truth? Call him see
- 4:28Speaker 5: he could defend that question.
- 4:29Speaker 1: What's his name?
- 4:32Speaker 2: My name is Jolani mark oh Giovanni.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Now listened to me? What kind of grandmother forces you
- 4:37Speaker 1: to listen to talk radio? What do you normally listen to?
- 4:39Speaker 1: You listen to the one hundred, right do you? Oh?
- 4:47Speaker 1: He's eleven?
- 4:48Speaker 2: He doesn't know you're not lying about and every day?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Huh?
- 4:54Speaker 5: How do you know if you're not lying about?
- 4:55Speaker 4: AI?
- 4:56Speaker 1: I guess I am. You caught me. See that, you
- 4:58Speaker 1: caught me. Took an eleven year old catch me? Pretty
- 5:01Speaker 1: precocious kid. Hey, where are you going right now with
- 5:04Speaker 1: your grandmother?
- 5:06Speaker 2: York town?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Oh? Okay? Your town? Very nice, very nice? All right?
- 5:09Speaker 1: Will you sound like a good.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Kid, grandpa? Big fans of your podcast?
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta be honest. You sound like a good kid.
- 5:15Speaker 1: But you sound like a real troublemaker. I can tell
- 5:16Speaker 1: when grandma's not around. You're a little bit of a troublemaker,
- 5:19Speaker 1: aren't you.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Probably.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah. It's a good thing. I was too. It's a
- 5:23Speaker 1: very good thing. Don't ever lose that. It's a good quality.
- 5:27Speaker 1: All right. You sound like a smart kid. Thanks for calling.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Let's go to uh, let's go to Tom and Oh,
- 5:34Speaker 1: let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 5:37Speaker 4: He sounds like a great kid. He sounds like that
- 5:40Speaker 4: is the menace? How convenient the liberal media in regards
- 5:43Speaker 4: to Trump doing work at the White House the ballroom.
- 5:46Speaker 4: They forget that FBR put a pool in the White House,
- 5:50Speaker 4: and that when they called the media room the press room,
- 5:54Speaker 4: they say the pool. Well, there's a pool underneath that
- 5:57Speaker 4: floor over there. At one time it actually caved in.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Mark Mandani and Katy Hokel are always crying the blues
- 6:07Speaker 4: about money. Yet last week Mandani set up this communist
- 6:13Speaker 4: polling propaganda Bureau of He hired thirteen people for I
- 6:19Speaker 4: think a million point seven dollars to just promogate his agenda,
- 6:25Speaker 4: to just create propaganda for his agenda. And this other
- 6:29Speaker 4: one Katy Hulkell talked about, Oh I need money, congestion Brieston.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yet she's putting, she's bragging last week about this whole
- 6:37Speaker 4: new fleet of subway cars that she's putting into service. Well,
- 6:43Speaker 4: if you so hung up for money, if you need
- 6:46Speaker 4: so much money so badly, why don't you just repair
- 6:49Speaker 4: some of the old ones. Oh but we really know
- 6:52Speaker 4: the reason why, because she's getting the kickbacks from those
- 6:55Speaker 4: companies and contribution from those companies that make this up
- 7:00Speaker 4: where the subway cars and everything. And in regards to
- 7:03Speaker 4: his birthright citizenship, this is a true story. In nineteen
- 7:08Speaker 4: oh six, my grandparents, my uncle Mike was born, my
- 7:12Speaker 4: father wasn't born. They were coming in from Italy and
- 7:15Speaker 4: they were in the United States Territorial Waters and my
- 7:19Speaker 4: grandmother gave birth on the boat on the way to
- 7:24Speaker 4: Ellis Island. And still my grandparents had to apply for
- 7:28Speaker 4: citizenship at a certain age, so did my uncle.
- 7:33Speaker 1: So it should be very good, Vincent, excellent call hey
- 7:36Speaker 1: when we come back. Jimmy Fayler, the great comedian, great
- 7:39Speaker 1: talk show host. He's on now every night nine o'clock
- 7:42Speaker 1: on WR. We'll talk to him next
