- 1:50The one and only. We are talking to former
- 1:53Panthers quarterback, the one, the only, the Wilster himself,
- 1:58CJ Wilson. CJ what's up, man?
- 2:02Oh ain't nothing to it man. Loving the show already.
- 2:05You boys already turned up. I love it.
- 2:07Well, you know, I, I got to turn around.
- 2:09I'm like, you know, like a piece of steak.
- 2:12You got to turn it up a couple of times before the juices come
- 2:15out of it. Just once, just because you like
- 2:18your steak well done. I do.
- 2:19Just people that don't want boot leather.
- 2:21Well, first of all, first of all, I don't like it red because
- 2:25I don't want to get sick. I know what they do over there
- 2:27in Nebraska. I mean, you're over there in the
- 2:29sticks. That's all they do.
- 2:31They cut the beef and they eat it.
- 2:33I actually like to cook the beef, if you know what I mean.
- 2:36And Speedy likes to eat the thick beef, right?
- 2:38Speedy? I like flavor.
- 2:39I like flavor aside by that it doesn't matter about.
- 2:42One matter of. Thickness, CJ.
- 2:44How you like your steak. I'm hey, man, I'm deep country,
- 2:48man. I'm well done.
- 2:49I got. I got to see it.
- 2:50Well done. Who let the dogs out?
- 2:59That's me. That's right.
- 3:01That's right, CJ. You know what it's all about?
- 3:04It's all about eating that well done leather.
- 3:06Because you know what? You can chop it up.
- 3:09You put them in some chocolate. Wonderful, wonderful BBQ sauce.
- 3:13I like it. Chocolate.
- 3:14OK. I like it nice and sexy.
- 3:17And I like to Richard sauce on it.
- 3:19Oh, love it. BBQ, 100%.
- 3:21I'm a BBQ boy baby. I don't like the hot sauce.
- 3:24I like the BBQ. I like the BBQ.
- 3:27And yes, I like honey mustard too.
- 3:29But I won't dip my steak in honey mustard.
- 3:31I will not dip my steak. In honey, I don't argue with the
- 3:34honey mustard like what I love. It in steak on steak.
- 3:39Not on. Steak.
- 3:40That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm.
- 3:41What are we speaking about here? Barbecue sauce.
- 3:45On steak, yes. Well, hold on one second.
- 3:49How do you not? That's BBQ sauce gives it
- 3:53flavour, right? Speedy flavour cut, roll it off
- 3:56your tongue flavour. Flavour.
- 3:59Dude, are you kidding me? Who doesn't like BBQ sauce?
- 4:02BBQ baby. I mean, they make, they make
- 4:05supermarkets. Barbecue.
- 4:07Yeah, BBQ. Yes, absolutely, 100%.
- 4:11How could you not? I mean, CJ, you don't like BBQ
- 4:14sauce on your steak? Come on, I'm.
- 4:17I'm from Texas, man BBQ, steaks and football.
- 4:20That's what we do down here, man.
- 4:21Oh, that's what I'm sorry. Get on, CJ.
- 4:24This is my this is my win, baby. Shit, shit, shit, shit.
- 4:29I. Got no.
- 4:31I'm out. No, listen, they like corn, so
- 4:37he'll be hanging out in the cornfields.
- 4:43Shout out to Nebraska, man. Shout out to Nebraska.
- 4:47If you're a Hoosier, I'm sorry, not a, not a Husker, as Huskers
- 4:51only as Speedy always says, as we have a drop somewhere over
- 4:54here. It's it's, it's somewhere.
- 4:56I can't find it. I'm, I'm losing it today.
- 4:58Here it is. Huskers only.
- 5:00Huskers only, ladies and gentlemen, as we all know, Java
- 5:04Chamberlain's all about it. Speaking of football, as we're
- 5:07here with CJ and CJ is is coaching right now.
- 5:11He's doing a lot of great things right right now with the young
- 5:13ones. But there's a young team right
- 5:16now in Carolina that you know a little bit about.
- 5:18Bryce Young had a pretty good second-half.
- 5:21They added one of the they added the best wide receiver in this
- 5:24in this class. What are your thoughts to the
- 5:28Carolina Panthers first round pick?
- 5:31And we all know who he is. Arizona Big boppa, big, long and
- 5:36stature, speed. He likes it long.
- 5:37He likes it Dick. Well, he's got 1.
- 5:39Ladies and gentlemen, we all know CJ Wilson.
- 5:42What do you think about Carolina's first round pick?
- 5:47I loved it giving giving Bryce another, another weapon.
- 5:51I mean, it's I feel like what they should have done from the
- 5:55beginning is what you drafted the kid because of what he did
- 5:58at at at Ohio State and he had a boatload of weapons there.
- 6:02They're finally starting to go down, go through the process of
- 6:04getting him the type of weapons that he had there.
- 6:07So as they continue to add, you know, different guys, the other
- 6:10guys they had in the draft, but especially him, you're going to
- 6:13get a chance to see the Bryce that you drafted.
- 6:14I don't think we anyone has gotten a chance to see the real
- 6:17Bryce that they drafted because he went into a situation not
- 6:20having the weapons that he needed.
- 6:21So giving him this kid with a couple more years to develop
- 6:24should be pretty awesome. And by the way, it was Alabama,
- 6:27but you know, those quarterbacks come from Ohio State, too.
- 6:30But Bryce, Bryce was from. Hey, listen, I'm helping you
- 6:33here, man. We're all of it.
- 6:35You're not, listen, you're not Robert Griffin the Third, OK?
- 6:37You're not going out there and saying stupid.
- 6:40We all know Robert Griffin's a little lost in his own little
- 6:43translation, but hey, I'm going to help you out here.
- 6:45Go ahead, Speed. Yeah, I was.
- 6:46Going to ask about the defensive side of the ball.
- 6:47They drafted a couple edge rushers too and they gave JC
- 6:50Horn. It was your position, a big
- 6:51contract, a $25 million a year contract.
- 6:53So what are your thought outlook on this defense right now,
- 6:56especially with the turn around with the coaching staff?
- 7:00Overall, I thought it was a solid draft.
- 7:03You can never go wrong drafting edge guys.
- 7:05It's a seven O 7 league now. So if you got guys that can rush
- 7:09the quarterback and and get there and and pretty much
- 7:12especially SEC guys that's used to that, to a certain thought
- 7:16process as in terms of getting to the QBI think it's always
- 7:19good. So they did a great job with
- 7:22with getting the guys on the defense.
- 7:23JC out at corner. I like his style.
- 7:27I love to see him perform better.
- 7:31He's already done a great job, don't get me wrong, but I'd like
- 7:33to see him take that next step to being mentioned in that top
- 7:37three, that top five best cornerbacks in the league.
- 7:40He certainly has the ability to do it, but it's just about the
- 7:43maturation process and actually taking that step to say, hey,
- 7:46whoever the best guy is, I'm going to go follow him.
- 7:48Forget everything else. Once you get to that point to
- 7:50get that respect in the league, then even the contract he signed
- 7:53for, he'll be setting the cell phone for one that probably
- 7:55double S that. Yeah, CJ, you just said like
- 7:58drafting edge guys is never a bad thing.
- 8:00And when, like when do you think it became prevalent that it, it
- 8:03got its own name and, and just reading stories about the edge
- 8:06rushers that, you know, got drafted and literally they told
- 8:10Abdul Carter, obviously he's an anomaly, but they're like, you
- 8:12need to learn 5 positions. Can you, can you kind of explain
- 8:16and what that like what that mentality goes in trying to
- 8:20learn all those? And are you good at all of them?
- 8:23Are you great at certain specifics like dropping in the
- 8:26coverage or on the pass rush like that?
- 8:29It just seems like so much being in one's position to be able to
- 8:32be that good. And obviously all the edges that
- 8:34were drafted were, were very, very talented.
- 8:36But I me being a non football guy and seeing that position how
- 8:40becoming so prevalent? Like how hard is it and how much
- 8:43mental capacity does it go into preparing for a game each and
- 8:47every week? It's a reason why those guys are
- 8:51in the top 1% in the world. You have to be able to do
- 8:55something that not only physically you got to be in a
- 8:59separate category, but psychologically you have to.
- 9:02So for to to ask a guy to play 345 different positions, the
- 9:08league is shifting. The more see on one side of you
- 9:11see guys getting more money, what his owners are sitting down
- 9:14looking at it like, well, if I'm paying you all this money to do
- 9:17one thing, I'm really not getting my money's worth.
- 9:20So I might as well ask you to do more because what they teach,
- 9:24there's only about 10 guys, 8 to 10 guys that actually play
- 9:27football on an NFL roster. Everybody else is week to week
- 9:31check to check. Everybody else says you better
- 9:33do more than what it is that's on this actual roster.
- 9:37So with them with the salary cap going up, money going up,
- 9:40they're asking those eight to 10 guys who was used to doing one
- 9:43thing. Now those guys got to do more.
- 9:45That's why you're looking at quarterbacks.
- 9:47You can't just sit in the pocket and throw no more.
- 9:49Now you got to read game, now you got to be able to RPO, now
- 9:52you got to be able to run the ball called runs.
- 9:55It's the reason why they're doing that.
- 9:56They need guys to be more versatile because they want more
- 9:58bang for the buck. So that's what you're seeing,
- 10:01edge rushers being able to to to rush the passer, drop back, zone
- 10:05drop. They give A tag call where you
- 10:09got to peel off on the running backs and stuff like that, or
- 10:12even guard tight ends. Yeah.
- 10:14I mean, if they're paying you $40 million a year, I want you
- 10:16more than just putting your fingers in the dirt and beating
- 10:19this other big guy. I need you to be able to do more
- 10:21things. So.
- 10:22And it also puts coaches who've been scanned.
- 10:25I'm just going to say it. It's a lot of coaches been
- 10:27skating by for a long time, not really being able to coach.
- 10:32One of them is over there in Pittsburgh.
- 10:39So now guys have to be able to say, hey, I need you to do this
- 10:43and here's why I do this, and here's why I do this and here's
- 10:46why as opposed to, well, I got a guy, so that's what you're
- 10:49saying. We are talking to former
- 10:51Panthers cornerback CJ Wilson. Well, we all know what happened.
- 10:55The Browns were sitting there at #2 and everybody was wondering,
- 10:58what are the Browns going to do at #2 Hey, guess what?
- 11:01They're going to trade with Jacksonville to go after Travis
- 11:04AK, the gremlin himself, and you know, Hunter.
- 11:09And boy oh boy, if he wasn't on the Ewok adventure, he was
- 11:13definitely on Gremlins. Because he definitely is going
- 11:15to star in Gremlins 3. I can't stand this kid.
- 11:18I met him at the Heisman Trophy dinner.
- 11:20The guy stood tall, stood tall. He thought that he was bigger
- 11:24than the world. I think that the Heisman Trophy
- 11:27and, and the group of them voted him in when I thought, I thought
- 11:31Gente was the bona fide Heisman Trophy winner.
- 11:34And this guy went out there. He smiles.
- 11:36He's got a bright smile. Deion Sanders loves him.
- 11:39He calls him his son, his stepson or whatever the hell he
- 11:42calls him. And this guy has never won
- 11:45anything. He's never done anything.
- 11:47He never defended against a top wide receiver in the NCAA.
- 11:50Why does everybody have a love fest for the Kremlin himself?
- 11:55Please tell me. Because the kid is a phenomenal
- 12:02talent. He has the right type of
- 12:04headlines behind him and there's the the league was shifted in a
- 12:11way for them to be able to highlight these storylines.
- 12:15He's going back home to Florida, which is where he's from.
- 12:18He's going to get a chance to ask you to pull in fans to make
- 12:21those people more money. It's going to be interesting to
- 12:24see how he does what he does. I don't know if they going to
- 12:26play them off on the defense otherwise.
- 12:30What I love to see him do something that hadn't been done
- 12:33before. Yes, but I think that's also
- 12:35arrogant to think that someone going into that league can do
- 12:39something like that. I don't think that he's been
- 12:42prepared psychologically to understand the NFL and college
- 12:46are two totally different games. I'm sorry, the guy that guy in
- 12:51college is going back to his apartment of dorm room after his
- 12:54over with and he can't get him. He ain't going to get in the
- 12:56portal until the end of the season.
- 13:00The NFL is a completely different game.
- 13:02That guy you playing against got a mortgage.
- 13:03Hell, look, he got kids at the. You see how many do you see the
- 13:10number I have up right there? What is that?
- 13:12What is that equal 7? You know what that means?
- 13:17The guys not going to have longer than A7 year career in
- 13:20the NFL. The guy is so overrated.
- 13:24I think he's. He has said that already.
- 13:26He is 7 years and that is it. That's all he's going to last in
- 13:31the NFL. Nobody's going to deal with a
- 13:33big mouth guy that goes out there and he's got to play
- 13:36one-on-one with Brian Thomas every single week.
- 13:40And that guy is a beast. That guy is going to be the best
- 13:44wide receiver in football in three years.
- 13:46Remember I said that? Now it's two years now because
- 13:49just he is Justin Jefferson, 2 point O3 point O, 4 point O,
- 13:54give it five, baby, cuz Brian Thomas junior is my man.
- 13:58And if he was a Jet, he'd be even bigger, my man, if you know
- 14:00what I'm talking about, Speedy. Nevertheless, I'm telling you
- 14:03right now, the one and only Brian Thomas versus this guy and
- 14:07he's got to defend this guy. It might get him better, or it
- 14:10might even make him look like a peace shooter, which she
- 14:13probably is. There you go.
- 14:16I just had to add that I'm. Sorry.
- 14:17Well, he's going to get the chance to show it.
- 14:18He's going to get a chance to show it.
- 14:19One of the things that I know about Dionne, I've coached
- 14:21against him. I know him personally, I know
- 14:24his thought process and what he gives.
- 14:27And so the kid has had, like I said, he's in a position now to
- 14:29where you're going to have everything that you need and
- 14:33he's going to get a chance to learn from a lot of great guys.
- 14:35I think that the biggest thing for him outside of his
- 14:38day-to-day work is going to be what are the greats that are
- 14:41technically sound? Is he going to connect with
- 14:45Dionne was a was a phenomenal talent that was had an
- 14:48exceptional athleticism, different than anybody else.
- 14:52Travis, this game that you got to play in now you got to have
- 14:55skill set. Athleticism ain't enough.
- 14:58So we don't see. I wish the best for the kid.
- 15:00He's in a great opportunity. You got to show what he can do.
- 15:03So how would you coach him? How would you spread out the
- 15:05snaps? How would you spread out the
- 15:07percentages of how much you would play?
- 15:09And we've had several, we had several ex football players on
- 15:11during the draft and our draft coverage.
- 15:13And last week we had a Quentin Couples.
- 15:15That was an interesting debate that Errol and him were having
- 15:17about how much he would play Travis under.
- 15:19He was saying only play him on defense, don't play him on
- 15:21offense. What would you do if you were
- 15:22coaching him? Well, I don't like to put put
- 15:26caps on guys, so I'd let him if we draft him.
- 15:29He was doing both in college. I'm going to let him play both
- 15:32in the league and I'm going to do it all day in practice,
- 15:35forget the games. I'm going to let him do it in
- 15:36practice and then I'm going to monitor whether or not he can
- 15:38actually handle it on defense. I think that's where he should
- 15:42where he should go. I think he's better suited long
- 15:46term receiver. It takes too much if you have a
- 15:49quarterback that if you have a system like most NFL systems are
- 15:53multi layered. He's psychologically going to be
- 15:56burnt out by Week 6 or 7. College football is not like
- 16:00that. So I start him out on defense
- 16:02and let him roll and then throw him out there a little bit on
- 16:04offense just to, you know, let him get touches and big play,
- 16:07his big play ability. But again, that's something you
- 16:09got to earn. And I'll give him.
- 16:11I'll give him a shot to do it initially, but then after that
- 16:14I'd have to gauge this kid to see where he's at.
- 16:17What do you think? Phenomenal, we have.
- 16:19OK, so you say that and you agree.
- 16:22What do you think like the adjustment obviously from
- 16:25college to the NFL is, is, is vast in in more ways than one.
- 16:30What do you think that he, as you've watched him that needs to
- 16:35work on the most to to be successful?
- 16:37And do you think he can be successful on both sides of the
- 16:40ball? Yeah, I think he could be
- 16:43successful on both sides of the ball.
- 16:44But again, it's going to come down to him getting in, getting
- 16:47in the room with guys like a Champ Bailey or Charles Woodson,
- 16:50guys who had that type of capability but didn't do it
- 16:54because of how hard it was to master one side.
- 16:57That's what I think he should do as in terms of whether or not
- 17:02he, like I said, he can do it. But this is going to be hard,
- 17:04man. Look, when when I was given the
- 17:07Dallas Cowboys playbook by by by Rob Ryan, it was this big fellas
- 17:14and he you got to know this by tomorrow that I'm going to make
- 17:16whatever call I'm going to make. I need you to go out there and
- 17:18know that by tomorrow. Now you take a kid that in
- 17:22Colorado they weren't playing multi layered offense and
- 17:25defense and now they weren't doing all of that.
- 17:28So it's going to be a whole different world.
- 17:30The lingo. He's got to know everything
- 17:32offensive coordinator is thinking, everything the
- 17:35defensive coordinator is thinking, yeah.
- 17:39So yeah, I would again, I'd give him a couple of plays over a
- 17:43package or so. Give him a couple plays, let him
- 17:45play more so on defense, let him get up to the pinball and the
- 17:47speed and then I roll it from there and he's not a big guy.
- 17:52And that's what I don't think this hike machine understands.
- 17:56When you get hit by 240 LB guy playing safety, that's different
- 18:00than that 190 LB guy in college. It's a totally different game.
- 18:04And then you got to turn around and go defend the receiver.
- 18:07That's 2:20 that's going for a big check.
- 18:10Is is different. It's just different the.
- 18:12Term. Speed is the biggest adjustment
- 18:14from college to NFL. You think speed is the biggest
- 18:16one? Technically, yes, One of them,
- 18:21yes. I think the biggest difference
- 18:23is the psychology. The psychology has to be
- 18:26different. In college, you always know that
- 18:29I can come back tomorrow. In the league.
- 18:32You can't think that in the league your dream is over, your
- 18:36career is over. That day or tomorrow, you get a
- 18:40phone call with 13 numbers on it in the middle of the night and a
- 18:43guy you don't know saying, hey, the general manager want to see
- 18:46you in the morning. It's over.
- 18:50It's different. You're not getting that in
- 18:52college. It's over.
- 18:53So it's that's what you got to deal with.
- 18:55Imagine being a guy sitting at home and you get a phone call to
- 18:59come up to play. You've been working for months.
- 19:03You're at home, you're working at Burger King.
- 19:05You finally get that call to come up.
- 19:07They fly you up and you you got to keep your dream alive.
- 19:11You line up, you've been working, you've been training
- 19:13and Travis Hunter is on the other side of is on the opposite
- 19:16side of you. That guy got a whole different
- 19:19motivation than you do. The question is how do you
- 19:21respond? So that dog talk, it sounds good
- 19:25until you actually until they bring another dog from another
- 19:28from another yard out there to come get play against you.
- 19:32That's different. That's when you get smacked by
- 19:34the Whopper. That's when you get smacked.
- 19:36By the whopper you. Just got to hope that of those
- 19:3813 phone calls, none of them are by Jax Olbrich.
- 19:42You're going to get smacked. David Clowney just got cut today
- 19:46by the Panthers. Make you never know.
- 19:48Yeah, look at Willie Whoppers, Speedy Willie whoppers.
- 19:51You got to give the Willie and you get to get the whop, as we
- 19:54all know. By the way, by the way, I love
- 19:57my brother's keeper. You know what movie that's from
- 20:00new Jack city. That's what I'm talking about.
- 20:03It's one of my favorite movies. Chris Rock showed you why a
- 20:08comedian should not, I repeat, should not be an actor.
- 20:12So that's all I'm going to say about that.
- 20:14I'm just speaking the truth over here.
- 20:16I liked ice TI like the movie, but come on, man, Chris, just
- 20:21Chris Rock shouldn't have been in that movie, but I'm just
- 20:23trying to help you, Chris. I'm trying to help you as we.
- 20:26Oh no, we are talking to former Panthers cornerback CJ Wilson.
- 20:30Well, CJ, there's a lot to to think about over the last couple
- 20:35of weeks, especially through the draft.
- 20:37And there is a particular player that has stood out over the last
- 20:42couple of weeks from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his
- 20:45name is George Pickens. Yes, he's been a guy that yaps
- 20:50his mouth, beats people up in the huddle.
- 20:53And then when he's on top of somebody, elbowing, hitting them
- 20:55in the private areas. We know somebody that used to do
- 20:58that. He was on this show, Shawn
- 20:59Smith. So we all know about Dirty Baby.
- 21:02Dirty, dirty. There's an ex Patriots
- 21:04quarterback that's now in the Jaguars.
- 21:05I like to kick guys in the nuts, too.
- 21:07And then you're hearing over a couple of days or actually a
- 21:11couple hours that most GMs were not even calling up the
- 21:15Pittsburgh Steelers because they didn't want them.
- 21:17They didn't want to deal with that crap in the locker room and
- 21:20everything else. And you know who calls up and
- 21:22gets the trade? You said it, baby.
- 21:25The one and only Dallas Cowboys, the Cowgirls themself reaching
- 21:31out, maybe having a cheerleader call up over there and saying,
- 21:34hey, baby, come over here. I'll show you a couple of
- 21:37things. Well, ladies and gentlemen,
- 21:39George Pickens is now a cowboy. He's playing with CD Lamb.
- 21:43And by the way, Lamb is not going to enjoy that piece of
- 21:46chicken on the damn bad damn football field.
- 21:49Your thoughts to the George Pickens story?
- 21:51And how is this going to work over there with CD Lamb and
- 21:55George Pickens as Mr. One and only Dak Prescott throwing that
- 21:59little pigskin right to the beef of that jerky.
- 22:03What do you think? Phenomenal talent.
- 22:06Great PR move for the for the team, for the fans.
- 22:13I mean perfect timing when everything settled down to kind
- 22:15of help people transition from the Shaddor Sanders thing
- 22:19football related. I think it was a terrible move.
- 22:22I believe it was a terrible move.
- 22:24It makes sense though, because Jerry like guys that have
- 22:26trouble past which I mean, shout out to him for you know, finding
- 22:30someone who can you know who likes that thought process.
- 22:32Again, the kids, phenomenal talent, but you have a problem.
- 22:35The problem is this, when he's when he's not, when he doesn't
- 22:40get the ball the way that he wants because it's going to
- 22:43happen. When he doesn't get it, the
- 22:45question is going to be how is he going to respond?
- 22:49If you didn't really have much to work with in Pittsburgh, you
- 22:54don't really have much to work with here in Dallas.
- 22:57CD is going to get 1015 targets a game, double team, triple
- 23:00teamed, Mama teamed. It ain't going to matter.
- 23:03He going to get doubled. So you going to pitch a fit, you
- 23:06going to punch somebody in the face here?
- 23:09There's different eyes here than it is in Pittsburgh and Dallas.
- 23:12They going to be watching everything from the moment you
- 23:14walk out the locker room. Literally.
- 23:16We all have seen that. I experienced it.
- 23:19It's different when you you pissed off in the hallway in
- 23:21Pittsburgh. Ain't nobody going to see that.
- 23:23But here, oh, it's different. So again, for all of the media
- 23:28and all of that stuff, it's a great deal.
- 23:29Again, the kid is phenomenal talent.
- 23:31He is he's he's a tall, good size guy.
- 23:33He can make plays on the ball. I think he's a very good
- 23:37football player. But again, psychology, I don't
- 23:40think he, I don't think the psychological element of plan
- 23:43for that star, it's going to be a little tough so.
- 23:47Another guy that. I went to the bed.
- 23:49Another guy that's been a personality.
- 23:51Fish and I were our executive producer.
- 23:52We're talking about him a couple weeks ago, Jalen Ramsey
- 23:55demanding a trade from the Dolphins and he's a great
- 23:57corner, but he's bumped around, probably still played like a top
- 24:0015 corner last year. Would you trade for him if you
- 24:03were a team? And how do you think his
- 24:05longevity could be going to another team?
- 24:08100% I would want Jalen Ramsey in any room that I'm in.
- 24:12It's it's his, his, his know how.
- 24:15He's one of those guys that it's like the Gilmore.
- 24:19Those are guys, man, that even if they're not playing as much
- 24:23as they used to or doing what they used to, you got to have a
- 24:25guy like that in the room. So you can you can make him like
- 24:28a prototype or an art type for the rest of your room.
- 24:32That's what you want. Jalen may not be able to play,
- 24:34you know, 70 snaps like he used to, but give me 30 plays of
- 24:38Jalen Ramsey at at his best and then let me go drive two kids
- 24:42that's like him or built like him that's willing to listen and
- 24:46I'm good. I'm good because if nothing
- 24:49else, he's going to teach him how to win.
- 24:51Hold on. Even if they don't, he's going
- 24:53to teach him how to. Hold on one second.
- 24:54Wasn't that the guy in GQ magazine that said Josh Allen
- 24:58was a shell of a quarterback in the NFL?
- 25:01Wasn't that the guy that told everybody that Josh Allen wasn't
- 25:05going to be a good quarterback in the NFL?
- 25:07What's going on, Jalen? This guy is the best quarterback
- 25:10or second best quarterback right now in the NFL.
- 25:13I don't hear Jalen Ramsey going in the GQ magazine or Play Play
- 25:17Girl magazine as he's flexing for all the people out there.
- 25:21Give me a break. It is absolutely despicableness.
- 25:26OK, go. Ahead, I'm going to give you
- 25:28some push. Back Girl, Emmy.
- 25:29I agree with him. I want to hear this one.
- 25:33Please. Let's hear it.
- 25:36Let's hear. It tell me, OK, so all of the
- 25:40great things, let's slide that in this corner.
- 25:43All right, let's slide that in Josh's corner.
- 25:45Tell me how with everything centered around him, including
- 25:49the NFL, why does he keep getting to why does he keep
- 25:55getting to the point of where they're trying to push it over
- 25:57for him but he can't get it done?
- 26:01When are we going to see his best?
- 26:03Because he's already been given everything he needs to tip the
- 26:06tip the hat in his favor. They've tried to help him beat
- 26:10Mahomes. I don't know if y'all have
- 26:12witnessed that. They literally have tried to
- 26:14help and beat my. Heart.
- 26:15Can't get it done, don't understand it.
- 26:17Well, they screwed him last playoffs.
- 26:19I mean, come on, You don't think Buffalo got screwed by the NFL?
- 26:23Come on. That was a first down, buddy.
- 26:26That was a first down. And how could you allow that
- 26:29catch when it hit the ground? How could you count that catch
- 26:32as a catch when everybody saw it hit the ground and then you
- 26:35watched it on the replay and you said it was a catch?
- 26:38Come on. Are you kidding me?
- 26:40It's always Kansas City's way. Always.
- 26:43It finally didn't. Thank you to the Eagles for
- 26:46shoving the football up their ass.
- 26:49I agree with you to to this degree.
- 26:51The game never should have been that close to begin with.
- 26:55They were better than Kansas City from the start.
- 26:57It never should have. Guy came down to a play or two.
- 27:01That's the that's the problem. When they say, when they say
- 27:04for, I say like the last three years, he should have gotten
- 27:06over the hump. His biggest nemesis has been
- 27:09Mahomes, but he has everything that Mahomes does it and he got
- 27:13the game at home last year. How do you not win that in those
- 27:16conditions? They stopped running the ball.
- 27:18That's why that's coaching. You go.
- 27:20That's the coaching. No, no, no, no, no.
- 27:23See, I'm glad you said that. That's the reason why Jalen said
- 27:27what he said. He had put it out there.
- 27:29But I'm going to tell you, when they give him that call, they're
- 27:33giving him 3 plays. He's not getting 2, he's getting
- 27:35three. Josh goes out there and he makes
- 27:39those calls himself. McDermott is a defensive guy.
- 27:43McDermott is not. You'll see him go cursing and
- 27:46all that type of stuff. He's not going to go and do that
- 27:48to Josh. He's going to do it to other
- 27:50people. Josh will make those calls.
- 27:52If you listen to his his interviews after the game, he'll
- 27:55tell you that, you know, I saw this different this than the
- 27:58third. I just got to be better.
- 27:59I just got to be better. Some of that's PR, but I'm
- 28:01telling you straight up because I because of what I know, Josh
- 28:04is not choosing to run the ball that much because it takes away
- 28:08from what he's trying to do. That's always been his knock
- 28:13whenever they get close. You got to watch him carefully.
- 28:16He'll make some amazing plays. Then there'll be some plays
- 28:18you'd be like, why wouldn't you just give this up?
- 28:22It doesn't make it doesn't make sense, but that's Josh.
- 28:25So I do agree with Jalen on on that because Josh could be
- 28:30better. Look, they can win the Super
- 28:31Bowl this year if they do what you just said.
- 28:34If they hand the ball off and let him just play action off of
- 28:37it, they can go win the Super Bowl.
- 28:40But you got to play up to this MVP stuff and let's get
- 28:43everything over the hump and all that.
- 28:44You don't have to do that to win.
- 28:46That's the difference between him and Mahomes.
- 28:49Mahomes do whatever it take to win.
- 28:52Josh not there yet. Do you think?
- 28:55Do you think winning equals greatness or will?
- 29:00If you don't win, it's you're not considered one of the
- 29:02greatest. No, I think greatness equals
- 29:05greatness. That's what I think.
- 29:07I think that in order for you to win, you have to learn how to do
- 29:11it and that that takes you out of the area of being good.
- 29:15Good is not great for goodness sake.
- 29:17I love that. Goodness is a is a big different
- 29:19sacrifice. It requires a whole different
- 29:22mindset. Mindset good is going to make
- 29:24you feel good. You're going to burp and maybe
- 29:26go do the number 2 or in a little bit.
- 29:28That's good, That's good food. Great food going to have you
- 29:31thinking about it, trying to figure out when the next time
- 29:33you can get it again. And I'm talking about more than
- 29:35good food. There you go, There you go.
- 29:38And I'm talking about more than just food.
- 29:40You just made you made Jabba wet talk.
- 29:45Talk about going #2 we have a guy that's not here right now
- 29:48that that does that at least three times a show.
- 29:53So, so greatness. Greatness is a whole different
- 29:56category, Man is is levels to it is levels to it.
- 29:59And you don't have to the winning to come.
- 30:02That'll come. You just got to understand the
- 30:03how and the why you win, that's all.
- 30:06So Errol and our guy in the in the private chat here on Nathan,
- 30:10who's our PR guy. I had an interview.
- 30:12With ladies. With one of your ex teammates at
- 30:16the Super Bowl, that was Jonathan Stewart.
- 30:17What was he like on and off the field?
- 30:19No. Manchild Jonathan was the was a
- 30:23guy that I was thankful of God every day was on my team.
- 30:28I did not want to play against him, didn't want to tackle him,
- 30:30none of that. He was a guy that he would like.
- 30:33It looked like he would run through steel and you feel bad
- 30:36for the steel and then is he coming back to the huddle?
- 30:39You'd be like, OK, I'm yeah, yeah, I'm glad that guy on my
- 30:42team. But his toe was like his toe
- 30:45looked like, I don't know. What do you call him?
- 30:47What was the name of that movie? His toe was his toes was so
- 30:50ugly. It's actually a part of what
- 30:53kind of derailed he had of her toe injuries.
- 30:56So most of the time, man, what you guys saw with with with with
- 30:59Stu was he wouldn't practice during the week.
- 31:02Stu would be in the cold till about a week and then go out and
- 31:05run for 100 yards on 15 Garys. That guy's built like an ox.
- 31:09By the way, we got a chance to meet him at Radio Row and he sat
- 31:13with us. He carries around his book bag
- 31:15everywhere he goes. I don't know what he's hiding at
- 31:17it. My first question to him is, are
- 31:19you going to school or something?
- 31:21Or what is it? Jansport book bag?
- 31:23I haven't seen one of those in like 20 years.
- 31:26I mean this Jansport and I'm laughing and I'm like, where'd
- 31:30you get that bag? He's like, oh, that it.
- 31:31Since I was in grade school, I was like, man, it looks pretty
- 31:35damn good. And by the way, he's built like,
- 31:37like an ox. You're absolutely right.
- 31:39And by the way, his golf game is pretty good too, I hear.
- 31:42So he's a pretty good golfer. So he likes to swing, you know,
- 31:45club speed. He should hang out with him.
- 31:49He's amazing. Pianist.
- 31:52I saw that. We go run for 50 yards, break
- 31:55somebody'd collarbone, and then go home and play the piano for
- 31:58about an hour or two. They need to do a Chappelle Show
- 32:01skit about that guy. He has an amazing, an amazing
- 32:03lifestyle, man, I'm telling. You he's cool.
- 32:06He was cool. He was good to hang out with and
- 32:09very calm and collective and very kind too.
- 32:11You wouldn't expect him to be a football player.
- 32:13When he sat back and even when he came over there, he was
- 32:16looking around like I'm like, dude, what are you looking for?
- 32:18He's like, you know, I want to see what's around me.
- 32:20I thought that he was afraid somebody was going to smack him
- 32:23in the back of the head. I mean, that's what he was
- 32:25doing, looking around. I'm like, what are you looking
- 32:27for? And it was so funny who, I
- 32:29forget who I interviewed him with Speedy.
- 32:31Was it Nick? Was it Nick?
- 32:32No, I think it was Nathan. It was Nathan that that's right.
- 32:35It was Nathan that we were sitting with.
- 32:37So it was pretty cool. Nathan actually wanted to sit
- 32:39down. And I remember that was the only
- 32:40interview I did with Nathan. But as everybody knows, we are
- 32:43talking to former Panthers cornerback CJ Wilson.
- 32:46CJ, one more question for me and Shidor Sanders.
- 32:50You've heard my my take on Shidor Sanders.
- 32:52OK, you know what I feel about the kid.
- 32:55I'm not a very fond of the man. I, I he's a boy in a man's body
- 33:00who walked around. Dude, I saw him at Radio Row.
- 33:02He had an entourage of 30 to 25 people following him around like
- 33:06he's like Michael Jordan, OK, An entourage.
- 33:09He wouldn't speak to anybody. The only people that he was
- 33:12speaking to, his little kids, running around asking for his
- 33:14autograph. He wouldn't talk to no one
- 33:16unless somebody came to him and said, hello, Sir, how are you,
- 33:19Sir? Could I, could I get an
- 33:22interview from you? And I was like, I do not want to
- 33:24interview that guy. So I, we got a chance to see him
- 33:28walk around and then before the shoot, before the, I mean,
- 33:32during the combine, he didn't throw into anything, but he
- 33:35spoke to the press, said some freaking crazy.
- 33:38If you don't, if you don't pick me, you're making a big mistake.
- 33:41And you know, you're just stupid if you don't pick me.
- 33:44And then all of a sudden he said it again at his pro day.
- 33:47He didn't look good on his pro day today.
- 33:49He said it again, too. And then there were stories
- 33:51coming out that Dion was his agent, that Dion didn't want him
- 33:55to go to five different, only five teams he would not allow
- 33:58his son to go to. I just think teams just decided,
- 34:01hey, you know what? We don't want to deal with this
- 34:02craziness. We don't want to deal with this
- 34:04selfish bastard. And we're not drafting him.
- 34:06Your thoughts to Shadora Sanders?
- 34:09Are you surprised that people spanked him all the way to the
- 34:12fifth round? No, I'm not.
- 34:15No, I'm not. And I know there's most of the
- 34:20sports community is split on this, but no, I'm not surprised.
- 34:24And the reason why I say that is there are so many people who
- 34:29players who don't understand that this is a job interview,
- 34:33all of that other stuff don't matter.
- 34:35It's a job interview and what people, what I'd like for people
- 34:41to kind of take a look at is, and Lord knows I've had this
- 34:44conversation with my coaches, my kids, all kind of people.
- 34:46But so I'll just say this, you're getting a chance in 2025
- 34:51to see what his father was like back when he came out.
- 34:54It's just that he wasn't getting that type of coverage.
- 34:57He was coached by his dad to operate in a certain way.
- 35:01Again, I know them both. I have coached against them
- 35:04both. I understand how their thought
- 35:08process is. I love them both.
- 35:11But there's their take on this was grossly overlooked, done the
- 35:15wrong way. There's too much put into me
- 35:19being seen as opposed to me working.
- 35:22I love the confidence. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for
- 35:25the confidence, but it goes to another level with the thought
- 35:29process of how to do this stuff when you're not in control of
- 35:32the NFL. They've shown everybody that
- 35:37they controlled it. The owners controlled it.
- 35:40You can say what you want, they controlled it.
- 35:44And I think he got a chance to actually see that from bombing
- 35:46those those interviews. And look, man, I'm going to tell
- 35:50you straight up, when you go sit down with a team and they have
- 35:55people come in your classes, following you around campus,
- 35:59they're flying you places. They got people in the hotels
- 36:02looking at you when they fly you there, when they give you
- 36:05playbooks and ask you to, OK, break this down, tell me this
- 36:08and tell me that they're thinking if I'm, if I'm going to
- 36:10put millions of dollars in you, I need to be able to predict
- 36:14your responses with him. They can't really predict his
- 36:18responses. He knew that.
- 36:21His father knew that. But they felt like that they
- 36:23could do it because of the bravado in the name of his
- 36:26father. So what you're seeing is Dion
- 36:29two point O and it only worked with Dion because there wasn't
- 36:34that much coverage. Dion would answer questions the
- 36:36exact same way when he was younger.
- 36:38He just coached his son to do the same thing.
- 36:40So that's what you're saying. If Chador had the athleticism
- 36:45his father had, he wouldn't have to say anything.
- 36:49But he didn't and no one told him the truth of hey, man, this
- 36:55is not the rightest job interview.
- 36:57Now he's check to check. He's getting he's going to be
- 37:00paid less money now than he was in college.
- 37:03So now you have to sit down and someone has to tell him how this
- 37:06legendary stuff you got, I love it, but not right now.
- 37:10Tom Brady told him, hey, spend more time in the film room then
- 37:15you are your Rolls Royce. Why do we need to know about you
- 37:20flying to Cleveland to go to the facility?
- 37:25Everybody that gets drafted has to do that.
- 37:28Why do we have to cover you doing that?
- 37:30Hell, they gave that to me and Carolina and I was a seven round
- 37:33pick. What is it that doesn't say
- 37:35anything? Everyone does that, but it's
- 37:38this, this, this initiative to to say I am this, that and the
- 37:433rd and all you're doing is making defensive guys and more
- 37:47important, this last thing I say on on this before we go forward.
- 37:51The part I don't think Dion or the crew has told him is this,
- 37:55Hey, you know, that offensive tackle, both of those guys,
- 38:01maybe the way that you're speaking, have you asked them
- 38:03how they feel about it? Because now those guys that's
- 38:06going to peel their ears back to come and get you.
- 38:08I got to work super hard to stop these guys to to begin with.
- 38:12But if I don't like, how would you keep talking?
- 38:14And we don't really rock like that with each other.
- 38:17I might accidentally not be able to.
- 38:20I might. I might accidentally not not
- 38:22kick step the way that I should. We always look at the defensive
- 38:30guy getting excited. You got to start thinking about
- 38:32the the tackles and maybe that tight end.
- 38:35Are they going to want to continue to block and run routes
- 38:38for a guy that's making himself become legendary before throwing
- 38:42a pass in the NFL who we don't even know how he hands the ball
- 38:45off because all he's done his whole career since high school
- 38:48is throwing the ball. Don't.
- 38:50Worry he's got great mentors of Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson
- 38:52to learn from. I wish.
- 38:56Success for the kid, I do, but yes, to your point, yes.
- 39:01Before we let you go, why don't you tell us what's going on with
- 39:03your football team? I, I see you're doing big things
- 39:06over there. I, I, I obviously I saw a couple
- 39:09of videos on social media, on some of your speeches.
- 39:13I mean, you have a remarkable personality.
- 39:16We all know it. We see you on the show.
- 39:18Tell us a little bit about your football team, your season, and
- 39:21where do you see yourself in the future as a head coach?
- 39:24Oh man, I'm I'm thankful to God for the opportunity to do what
- 39:27it is that I'm doing. I have a call it man and I
- 39:30accept it. I realize it.
- 39:31My wife is the one Karen. She's the one that actually
- 39:35pushed me into coaching period. All I wanted to do was was
- 39:40because her and my mom actually had me pushed me to go back to
- 39:43graduate from Baylor after I retired from NFL.
- 39:46So everything that you guys see is a shout out to my wife and my
- 39:51mother for pushing me to go and do this, my wife for coaching
- 39:55looking forward what I want to do.
- 39:57Well, I'll just touch on my team first.
- 40:00This year we came up 1/2 short. I had for my starters include my
- 40:03quarterback got hurt in the last game of the year when the game
- 40:07we go to the playoffs for the first time and I think like a
- 40:09decade, which I'm in my second season going out.
- 40:14We weren't even supposed to be in contention or in
- 40:16conversation. And with 26 kids, we went up
- 40:19against 80. And it took five injuries,
- 40:22including one to my quarterback for us not to make it.
- 40:25The rest of my programs in the school we we gotten back.
- 40:28My girls basketball program hadn't been to the playoffs in
- 40:3140 years. We got them in this year.
- 40:33Basketball program got in track. We went to the regionals, which
- 40:36is the playoffs and track broke out of the school records and
- 40:39all that stuff. So I'm excited to be able to
- 40:42build, man. I could go to any school in the
- 40:45country, respectfully and humbly college pro.
- 40:49I get those calls invites every year.
- 40:52But I know what my calling is and it's going to go help people
- 40:55that need it. I can go to the places that have
- 40:57everything that that's not going to move me.
- 40:59I went to Baylor when Baylor was facing the death penalty.
- 41:03So and help turn that program around.
- 41:05So it's the same thing with with what he's called me to do with
- 41:09helping here. And I think more players like,
- 41:12you know, that's gotten a chance to go to the highest level
- 41:15should go to programs that that are struggling to help those
- 41:18kids because those kids need to be seen and help too.
- 41:21If we always going to the places, always have, then I
- 41:25don't know what service we're really doing because a lot of
- 41:28those kids are not going to appreciate what you're giving
- 41:29them anyway because they already have.
- 41:31So we got some great things coming up.
- 41:34I'm excited about the year that's coming up.
- 41:36My daughter is 10 now and she's old enough to understand me.
- 41:40Yeah, she's almost my height, so she's actually the same height
- 41:43as my wife, which is nuts. I'm scared to death.
- 41:46Supermodel Supermodel. Yeah, and she's a track runner
- 41:51too, so I think it was last year she was a junior Olympian, so
- 41:55she can roll, but probably here in the next year or two.
- 42:00Man, I'm looking to go to go to the college ranks to, to help
- 42:05A-Team there get up and get rolling and stuff like that.
- 42:09And as my wife and my daughter goes a man, I'll go as long as
- 42:12they tolerate me. I'll say that much.
- 42:14I think you'd be great. I think you, if you keep going,
- 42:17eventually maybe you you go to the NFL and you become a DB
- 42:20coach or a defensive coin. Why couldn't you do that?
- 42:23We're watching Aaron Glenn do it and Aaron Glenn is he's he's
- 42:27special. I I love everything about him
- 42:29and I'm so excited to see what an ex jet is going to get a
- 42:32chance to do. And and we haven't seen a jet
- 42:35guy, an ex Jet actually take over a team and actually stand
- 42:38for what The Jets are always, always been known for his
- 42:42losing. Maybe he builds him up to be a
- 42:44winner. But CJ, we love you, man, and
- 42:47I'm rooting for you and I love when you come on the show.
- 42:50We have a lot of fun. I love the shirt, I love the
- 42:54coach and I love your personality, man.
- 42:57Keep up the good work man. You are sensational, You really
- 42:59are. I appreciate it man this is it's
- 43:02one of my wifes favorite movies New Jack City.
- 43:05But this is also the name of my mentorship group that we have
- 43:08for the kids in our school is my brothers keeping.
- 43:10Then we have MSK, which is my sister's keeper.
- 43:13So yeah, man, just trying to RIP my RIP my kids man, that's all.
- 43:18Hey CJ, before we leave, can you explain to people what a
- 43:20Polytechnic high school is? Because I feel like a lot of
- 43:23people don't know. So a Polytechnic high school,
- 43:27what it is now it's it's more it's a regular school now,
- 43:30regular public school now, but it used to be a school that
- 43:33actually specialized with different trades and stuff like
- 43:36that. So which unfortunately, a lot of
- 43:40those trades have been taken out of the school.
- 43:41I know I petition our our principal to to try to bring
- 43:46those back to actually make those fit, but that's all it's
- 43:48really just talking about taking trades out of school.
- 43:52I think our society as a whole brother will be way better if we
- 43:56had kids who understood that the that the, the, the trash man is
- 44:00making about 8090 grand a year with the goddess the dirt with
- 44:05no debt. The guy, the guy that's the
- 44:07plumbers making $100,000 a year. The dude that's fixing cars is
- 44:11making a great move and has his own shop and has independence.
- 44:14They're moving towards a lot of this AI stuff.
- 44:17And I understand that I get it. But there's everyday people that
- 44:21may never ever come into contact with that stuff full time.
- 44:24I'm going to need a plumber full time.
- 44:25I'm going to need a mechanic full time.
- 44:26I'm going to need someone to do those jobs full time.
- 44:29So I'm keep having those conversations, man, to see what
- 44:32all that we can do. But that's what polytechnics
- 44:33stand for, is talking about the different layers and levels of
- 44:37trade schools and technical schools.
- 44:39Well, you definitely need to get some.
- 44:41You need to help Speedy out because he definitely needs
- 44:43something on his wrench, if you know what I mean.
- 44:46Anyways, thank you, CJ for joining us.
- 44:50We love you. Keep up the good work and we'll
- 44:53talk to you, man. I, I know you're a fan of the
- 44:56show, but you know how crazy this show is and we like to take
- 45:00it and, and we like to drive it where it hurts.
- 45:03So I've just, I really, really appreciate you joining us.
- 45:06I know you're a busy guy and Speedy was telling me it's been
- 45:10a little bit harder than usual to get you on the show.
- 45:12But we love when you come on the show and and you gave us some
- 45:15really good thoughts of a gremlin and a big mouth joker
- 45:23and then, you know, a guy that they call Prime that needs to go
- 45:27back to prime time. You know, prime time in Speedy's
- 45:31underwear, anyways. No, he should be the Cowboys
- 45:33coach of two years. Anyways, thank you my one and
- 45:38only friend. Oh there it is.
- 45:39Perfect. What a face.
- 45:41Look at that CJ, don't they look like each other?
- 45:44What a specifics? I'm about to go look at my I'm
- 45:47about to go look at my wife to change this image.
- 45:49I'll put up her man. Shout out to Hunter, man.
- 45:54Hey, I love you boys the deaf. Man, I love you boys the deaf.
- 45:56Call me the time, I love you. CJ, we love you too.
- 45:58Thank you very much. CJ Wilson, ladies and gentlemen.
- 46:01Give him a Golf Club. Come on, guys, give him a Golf
- 46:04Club. It is wonderful.
- 46:05He's wonderful. And he was sensational.
- 46:08Our deuce of the day. The deuce of the day.
- 46:13You log. Not a log.
- 46:14I don't have a log, but you know, come on, ladies and
- 46:23gentlemen, ho, this is a doozy. Let me tell you.
- 46:26Shaddor Sanders is set up to fail with the Browns.
- 46:30Robert Griffin, the third says, well, are you hearing this?
- 46:34Shaddor, ladies and gentlemen, is head a headliner of the
- 46:38group. He sells tickets, he sells
- 46:41jerseys. He sells confidence to his
- 46:44teammates who have said they can't wait to play with him and
- 46:48non teammates. That's what Robert Griffin says.
- 46:52And guess what? Robert Griffin also says that
- 46:54the Cleveland Browns has set him up to fail.
- 46:58You know what I say to Robert Griffin?
- 46:59The third? Guess what?
- 47:01Shut up. I don't want to hear what you
- 47:04have to say. You're absolutely a dumbass
- 47:07because here's the facts. Should door Sanders opens his
- 47:11mouth way too much. If he's not doing it on the
- 47:14football field, he's doing it off the football field.
- 47:17And the reason why he fell to the fifth round, because he
- 47:19doesn't shut up. Robert Griffin should not be
- 47:22speaking. How long was his career in the
- 47:24NFL when he came out and said I'm a track and field runner,
- 47:28I'm a champion, I guess I'm not. I'm rookie of the year.
- 47:32How long was your career, Robert?
- 47:34I love you, Rob. I know he's friends with Nathan.
- 47:37That's great. Here's what I have to say to
- 47:39Robert Griffin. The third I know you're
- 47:41analyzing things. I know you're an analyst and I
- 47:43know you were an NFL quarterback.
- 47:45This guy has a debacle. He has been nothing but a
- 47:48debacle since he went to play college football, and he's going
- 47:51to be a debacle in the NFL because he's a debacle and he
- 47:55believes that he's better than he is.
- 47:58So my deuce of the day goes to Robert Griffin of the Third,
- 48:01because I can think everybody should tell him to go simmer
- 48:07down because we know what should door Sanders is an absolute
- 48:12loser. And now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 48:14we call this segment Save your tears.
- 48:19Mom. What's one thing?
- 48:22That you can't talk to me about. My sexual fantasies.
- 48:27Say your sorry. It is not ideal, but if it's
- 48:29what means, it is not ideal. But if it is not ideal, but if
- 48:32it is what means, you can't trouble.
- 48:35You can't treble stamp with double stamp Lloyd.
- 48:37You can't treble stamp with double.
- 48:38Stamp. Lloyd, you guys, now it's time
- 48:44for Save Your Tear. OK, you guys ready for this?
- 48:51This is a landmark episode of Save Your Tears Again if you are
- 48:58new to it, on Monday we picked our rosters.
- 49:02I'll show you who we picked from in a second here.
- 49:07And this were the games that came out on Monday and Wednesday
- 49:13for games one and two of the semi finals.
- 49:17So we got to pick five. We have $15.00 to pick.
- 49:21Everyone picked their roster and the results are.
- 49:27They bad. The results are we have a tie at
- 49:33the top between me and Errol because Errol copied my team,
- 49:37yeah. Right, I copied Goodie 1.
- 49:39Goodie has third place with his not knowing anything.
- 49:44First of all, I didn't copy any team because I wasn't even
- 49:46paying attention when you were picking your team.
- 49:48Just like sure I was watching was watching the Knick game.
- 49:51Obviously, if you remember. Whatever.
- 49:53Yeah, I was watching the Knick game too.
- 49:55But look, let's just go over who scored shy.
- 49:58Gildj Alexander was the leader at point guard.
- 50:00We actually did not make the best pick by taking Jalen
- 50:03Brunts, and he came in third. Derek White actually had a
- 50:05really good game, had a few more fantasy points.
- 50:08Jokic was the big winner ever. As far as the points, again, he
- 50:11had that 42 and 22 and 6 game. He had 128 points.
- 50:16Jayson Tatum, One O 9 1/2 guys that really underachieved.
- 50:20Oh, Josh Hart, by the way, was big for Errol and Maya's team
- 50:23kind of outpaced almost everyone.
- 50:25Jaylen Williams, Great pick by Goody.
- 50:27Who doesn't know who that guy is?
- 50:29Michael Porter. There's two of them on the
- 50:30table. Terrible 29.8.
- 50:34Everyone kind of took Pritchard because he was $1.00.
- 50:37He wasn't any good. Christian Braun Brown wasn't any
- 50:40good. Drew Holiday wasn't any good,
- 50:44and Jamal Murray didn't really have that good of a game.
- 50:46So that's where we are. And Errol, I texted you earlier
- 50:50today in case this was going to happen, and I asked you.
- 50:54Who do you? Think tonight in the game, in
- 50:58action. At the time we go over right
- 51:01now, we'll have the most fantasy points and he gave name someone
- 51:06and I named someone he named Anthony Edwards.
- 51:08I named Jimmy Buckets. And the big reveal right now is
- 51:13Errol wins his first ever save your tears because the T Wolves
- 51:18are spanking the Warriors. They put in Kevin Knox right now
- 51:23of Knicks. Oh boy.
- 51:25Play on the see a lot of these old pigs while stupid game.
- 51:28Off if you're watching this game is over.
- 51:31That dude is. Terrible told you.
- 51:33This is so there's three different for finals
- 51:35combination. Obviously the Timberwolves would
- 51:37be the fun one with with Randall and D Vincenzo, but then you got
- 51:40OK C with heart inside. Now the Warriors for Kevin
- 51:42Docks. I told you this was going to
- 51:44happen, by the way, and this series is going to go pretty
- 51:46quick. If Steph Curry doesn't come back
- 51:48soon, even comes back hurt, they have a better chance of even
- 51:51keeping up with. But it is just this is putrid.
- 51:55This is just bad, that's all. I'm right.
- 51:57So the way this goes is you're supposed to give get a
- 52:01compliment from all of the losers when you win.
- 52:05And it goes in reverse order. So Tommy's not here tonight,
- 52:08Tommy, I'm sure will, you know, write his in a sophisticated
- 52:13e-mail to you later on, as he's want to do.
- 52:17But Jabba, you're up first. Jabba, where's Goody?
- 52:20That's what I want to know. Well, finally you won, so
- 52:24congratulations on just giving it another excuse that you
- 52:29didn't just take fishes. Still one.
- 52:32I'd still pick the other guys. So that's it again.
- 52:34It has to be 51%, hey. I'm getting there.
- 52:38I'm getting there. We're not.
- 52:39We're still at 0% though. I know but I didn't really say
- 52:42that much. True, but no, your your vast
- 52:45knowledge of every sport and being close but not there always
- 52:51being in the top three just shows how dedicated you are to
- 52:54your craft and it was about time that you got a very deserved win
- 52:59and I don't think this is probably going to be the last
- 53:01one so. Wow.
- 53:02Congratulations. That was nice that I.
- 53:05Thought that was 51 right on the boat.
- 53:07That was nicer than I thought. All right.
- 53:12PDPD you are. Next, it was only a matter of
- 53:15where the compile score was eventually going to win for
- 53:17Errol. The track record says that
- 53:19that's bound to happen at some point based on based on a lot of
- 53:22stats. And it was.
- 53:23It was the heart and soul of Josh Hart that definitely
- 53:26elevated Jalen Brunson. Still doing very well, still
- 53:29doing better than most of the other point guards besides Shy.
- 53:31Got to give him credit on those picks.
- 53:33Sticking with those Knicks. So got to love it for a Knicks
- 53:35fan staying passionate to his craft.
- 53:42All right, well, here I go Errol, despite the fact you just
- 53:49copied and pasted my. Template.
- 53:53It was a wonderful job by you you.
- 53:56You definitely took the best advice on drafting this team.
- 54:00You were you definitely did all the proper research because you
- 54:05don't even have to. You are such a wise wisdom.
- 54:10Don't lie to yourself here. Master of the sports knowledge.
- 54:16It's just so impressive it's hard to even fathom anyone
- 54:22besides me, of course, because we had the exact same score that
- 54:25could have come up with such a roster.
- 54:28I mean, let's just face it, genius.
- 54:32Well, I just want to let you guys know something.
- 54:34I was going with Bronson and Yokich no matter what.
- 54:36So it all fell that way because that's where I was going.
- 54:40I mean, normally you look at the big man, you're going to go with
- 54:44Yokich. I didn't think anybody else I
- 54:46was going with. Everybody knows how much I love
- 54:48Yokich. And then obviously Jalen Bronson
- 54:51was the best point guard on the board as far as I'm concerned.
- 54:53So that's where I was going no matter what.
- 54:56So I guess everything fell that. Place finisher who spent, I
- 55:02mean, he told me he was in the lab late coming up with that
- 55:06roster and he got third place. Great job by Nick Goody.
- 55:11But Nick, again, it's time for compliments.
- 55:14All right, I got. Carol won the tie break.
- 55:17I I can only imagine what he's going to say, ladies and
- 55:20gentlemen. He left he.
- 55:21Told me 945. And he disappears again.
- 55:26It's like a magic trick right here.
- 55:29You see me? A lot of magicians in Orlando
- 55:33over there, so Goody, it's time to give arrows some comp 50 only
- 55:38has to be 51% positive. Go ahead. 3rd place finisher
- 55:44Nick Goody. Give me a second here dude, you
- 55:49just put me on the spot, here I am.
- 55:51I thought this would be like genuine like the real world like
- 55:54when they get from the. Camera.
- 55:56Here I am thinking here I am getting a text say you want to
- 55:59come in for save your tears. I'm like, oh for sure, I won
- 56:01this and now you put me on the spot and I immediately have to
- 56:04give a confident. You're the third price winner.
- 56:07That's the second. Loser dog, that ain't a winner,
- 56:09that's a loser. Well I got to highlight your
- 56:12name in a bronze ish red. That would be gold.
- 56:16That looks like that. Looks like blood.
- 56:21What I got to compliment both you Dick bags?
- 56:23No, no, I lost the tiebreaker. It's just Errol, but he did copy
- 56:28my roster. What was the tiebreaker, by the
- 56:31way? Who had the most points in the
- 56:33game that's live tonight when we would go over this?
- 56:36Right on. OK.
- 56:38It was a fair tiebreaker. Errol, what can I say?
- 56:45You have a voice meant for radio and a face meant for anything
- 56:56but TV. Your tattoos are elegant.
- 57:01You look like you got them for very cheap.
- 57:08And we are just. Very.
- 57:10Are you kidding? We are just so excited that you
- 57:13are here. This is not a compliment, this
- 57:15is torture. Got to get to 51%.
- 57:19I think you got 10 more percent to get there, goody.
- 57:21Yeah, it was. Just let me finish.
- 57:23We don't know how you pulled Brittany, but we definitely know
- 57:27Wasn't your face. Must be something with your
- 57:30tongue. I don't know.
- 57:31Get the hell out of here. You're beautiful, you're
- 57:34beautiful. We love you and you know, we
- 57:36just, we're just so happy that you won this.
- 57:38Save your tears this week. It's the first time I think
- 57:41you've ever won. So enjoy this moment.
- 57:43This is not a compliment. This is torture.
- 57:45This was not compliment. This wasn't 51%.
- 57:48That wasn't 10%. That wasn't even 10%.
- 57:52That little bastard. Thank you.
- 57:57Such a good game. Oh, wonderful.
- 57:58Thank you for the compliments by the way. 51% compliment.
- 58:02I couldn't just, I couldn't just ride you.
- 58:05I had to get you. That wasn't 51%, that was like
- 58:0810%, maybe 13%. You're, you're going from this
- 58:12to that to whatever the hell you were trying to get to.
- 58:15We will be back on Monday. Keep following us on social
- 58:18media. I want to make it quick.
- 58:20I want to make a quick announcement announcement
- 58:22obviously, and we'll make another announcement on Monday.
