  that

  These

  guys
• 2:15
  have

  got
• 2:16
  an
• 2:16
  amazing

  program
• 2:17
  out

  there

  it

  Matt,

  welcome

• 2:21
  Yeah,

  thanks.
• 2:22
  I
• 2:22
  appreciate

  it.
• 2:23
  Thanks
• 2:23
  for
• 2:23
  having
• 2:23
  me
• 2:23
  on,
• 2:24
  man.
• 2:24
  You
• 2:24
  guys
• 2:24
  have
• 2:24
  got
• 2:25
  a
• 2:25
  great
• 2:26
  new
• 2:26
  program
• 2:26
  out
• 2:27
  there
• 2:27
  and
• 2:27
  I
• 2:27
  say
• 2:27
  new.
• 2:27
  It's
• 2:28
  been
• 2:28
  a
• 2:28
  few
• 2:28
  years
• 2:28
  it
• 2:28
  looks.
• 2:29
  Like,
• 2:29
  but
• 2:29
  you
• 2:30
  guys
• 2:30
  are
• 2:30
  really
• 2:30
  filling
• 2:31
  in
• 2:31
  a
• 2:31
  big
• 2:31
  hole
• 2:32
  in
• 2:32
  the
• 2:32
  industry
• 2:33
  out
• 2:33
  there
• 2:34
  that
• 2:34
  really
• 2:34
  can
• 2:34
  help
• 2:35
  homeowners
• 2:36
  navigate
• 2:37
  damage
• 2:37
  to
• 2:37
  their
• 2:37
  homes.
• 2:38
  Yeah,
• 2:38
  we're
• 2:39
  a
• 2:39
  national
• 2:39
  platform
• 2:40
  of
• 2:40
  roofing
• 2:40
  contractors
• 2:41
  throughout
• 2:41
  the
• 2:42
  nation.
• 2:42
  I
• 2:42
  think
• 2:42
  we're
• 2:43
  teenagers
• 2:45
  and
• 2:45
  growing
• 2:45
  markets.
• 2:46
  I
• 2:46
  feel
• 2:46
  like
• 2:46
  every
• 2:46
  week
• 2:47
  we're
• 2:47
  somewhere
• 2:47
  else.
• 2:48
  Right.
• 2:48
  And
• 2:48
  we're
• 2:49
  looking
• 2:49
  to
• 2:49
  bring
• 2:49
  consistency
• 2:50
  in
• 2:50
  the
• 2:50
  restoration
• 2:51
  process
• 2:52
  with
• 2:52
  claims
• 2:53
  and
• 2:53
  specifically
• 2:54
  hail
• 2:54
  and
• 2:54
  wind
• 2:55
  and
• 2:55
  restoration
• 2:56
  projects
• 2:56
  as
• 2:56
  such.
• 2:57
  Yeah,
• 2:57
  it
• 2:58
  is
• 2:58
  so
• 2:58
  cool
• 2:59
  because
• 2:59
  I've.
• 3:00
  Had
• 3:00
  problems
• 3:00
  here
• 3:00
  in
• 3:01
  my
• 3:01
  area.
• 3:01
  I
• 3:01
  live
• 3:01
  in
• 3:01
  the
• 3:01
  Portland,
• 3:02
  Oregon
• 3:02
  area,
• 3:02
  as
• 3:03
  many
• 3:03
  of
• 3:03
  our
• 3:03
  listeners
• 3:04
  know.
• 3:05
  And
• 3:05
  many
• 3:06
  times
• 3:06
  we'll
• 3:06
  have
• 3:07
  some
• 3:07
  windstorm
• 3:07
  damage
• 3:08
  because
• 3:08
  we
• 3:08
  get
• 3:08
  those
• 3:09
  here
• 3:09
  as
• 3:09
  well
• 3:10
  and
• 3:10
  they
• 3:10
  have
• 3:10
  a
• 3:10
  hard
• 3:11
  time.
• 3:11
  Even
• 3:11
  finding
• 3:12
  a
• 3:12
  company
• 3:12
  that'll
• 3:13
  come
• 3:13
  out.
• 3:13
  To
• 3:14
  take
• 3:14
  a
• 3:14
  look
• 3:14
  at
• 3:14
  it,
• 3:15
  let
• 3:15
  alone
• 3:16
  having
• 3:16
  the
• 3:16
  insurance
• 3:17
  company
• 3:17
  work
• 3:17
  with
• 3:17
  them
• 3:18
  to
• 3:18
  do
• 3:18
  it.
• 3:18
  And
• 3:19
  you
• 3:19
  guys
• 3:20
  really
• 3:20
  have
• 3:20
  got
• 3:20
  a
• 3:20
  great
• 3:21
  program
• 3:21
  for
• 3:21
  helping
• 3:22
  people
• 3:22
  with
• 3:22
  that.
• 3:23
  Exterior
• 3:23
  damage
• 3:24
  on
• 3:24
  roofs.
• 3:25
  What
• 3:25
  got
• 3:25
  you
• 3:25
  guys
• 3:26
  thinking
• 3:27
  about
• 3:27
  this?
• 3:27
  Because
• 3:28
  obviously
• 3:28
  there's
• 3:28
  a
• 3:28
  need.
• 3:29
  Yeah.
• 3:29
  The
• 3:30
  insurance
• 3:30
  restoration
• 3:31
  industry
• 3:31
  has
• 3:32
  been
• 3:32
  growing
• 3:32
  drastically
• 3:33
  for
• 3:33
  the
• 3:33
  last.
• 3:33
  I've
• 3:34
  been
• 3:34
  in
• 3:34
  it
• 3:34
  20.
• 3:34
  They're
• 3:35
  going
• 3:35
  on
• 3:35
  my
• 3:35
  23rd
• 3:36
  year.
• 3:36
  Right.
• 3:36
  So
• 3:36
  we'll
• 3:37
  be
• 3:37
  done
• 3:37
  with
• 3:37
  23
• 3:37
  years
• 3:38
  of
• 3:38
  this.
• 3:38
  Wow.
• 3:39
  And
• 3:39
  it's
• 3:39
  grown
• 3:40
  drastically
• 3:40
  year
• 3:41
  after
• 3:41
  year
• 3:41
  that
• 3:42
  I've
• 3:42
  been
• 3:42
  in
• 3:42
  it.
• 3:43
  There's
• 3:43
  a
• 3:43
  need
• 3:43
  for
• 3:44
  it.
• 3:44
  Right.
• 3:44
  A
• 3:44
  lot
• 3:44
  of
• 3:44
  times
• 3:45
  these
• 3:45
  storms
• 3:45
  come
• 3:46
  through,
• 3:46
  and
• 3:46
  we
• 3:46
  know
• 3:46
  that
• 3:46
  our
• 3:47
  cars
• 3:47
  got
• 3:47
  hit
• 3:47
  because
• 3:48
  we
• 3:48
  go
• 3:48
  out
• 3:48
  to
• 3:48
  get
• 3:49
  in
• 3:49
  them.
• 3:49
  And
• 3:49
  we
• 3:49
  can
• 3:49
  see
• 3:49
  it.
• 3:50
  Right.
• 3:50
  We
• 3:50
  can
• 3:50
  touch
• 3:50
  it,
• 3:51
  we
• 3:51
  can
• 3:51
  feel
• 3:51
  it.
• 3:52
  But
• 3:52
  very
• 3:52
  few
• 3:52
  people
• 3:53
  realize
• 3:53
  that
• 3:54
  after
• 3:54
  a
• 3:54
  storm
• 3:54
  passes
• 3:55
  through,
• 3:56
  they
• 3:56
  might
• 3:56
  see
• 3:56
  their
• 3:56
  windows,
• 3:57
  they
• 3:57
  might
• 3:57
  see
• 3:57
  their
• 3:58
  siding,
• 3:58
  but
• 3:58
  they
• 3:58
  don't
• 3:58
  think
• 3:58
  about
• 3:59
  the
• 3:59
  roofs.
• 3:59
  It's
• 3:59
  just
• 4:00
  something
• 4:00
  that
• 4:00
  seems
• 4:01
  to
• 4:01
  pass
• 4:01
  a
• 4:01
  lot
• 4:01
  of
• 4:01
  people
• 4:02
  by.
• 4:02
  And
• 4:03
  so
• 4:03
  we're
• 4:03
  out
• 4:03
  there
• 4:04
  to
• 4:04
  let
• 4:04
  them
• 4:04
  know,
• 4:04
  hey,
• 4:05
  40%
• 4:05
  of
• 4:05
  the
• 4:06
  exterior
• 4:06
  envelope
• 4:06
  of
• 4:06
  your
• 4:07
  home
• 4:07
  is
• 4:08
  above
• 4:08
  your
• 4:08

• 4:08
  where
• 4:09
  you
• 4:09
  really
• 4:09
  don't
• 4:09
  see
• 4:09
  it
• 4:10
  much.
• 4:10
  And
• 4:11
  if
• 4:11
  we
• 4:11
  don't
• 4:11
  handle
• 4:12
  those
• 4:12
  problems,
• 4:12
  what
• 4:13
  happens
• 4:13
  is
• 4:13
  we
• 4:13
  can
• 4:13
  fall
• 4:13
  out
• 4:14
  of
• 4:14
  that
• 4:14
  claim,
• 4:14
  period.
• 4:15
  And
• 4:15
  then
• 4:15
  the
• 4:16
  exacerbated
• 4:16
  damages
• 4:17
  occur
• 4:18
  2,
• 4:18
  3,
• 4:18
  4
• 4:19
  years,
• 4:19
  and
• 4:19
  then
• 4:19
  we're
• 4:19
  out
• 4:19
  of
• 4:19
  coverage,
• 4:20
  and
• 4:20
  we've
• 4:20
  lost
• 4:21
  warranty
• 4:21
  in
• 4:21
  our
• 4:21
  roof,
• 4:22
  so.
• 4:22
  Absolutely.
• 4:23
  I
• 4:23
  just
• 4:23
  had
• 4:23
  an
• 4:23
  email
• 4:23
  come
• 4:24
  in
• 4:24
  this
• 4:24
  morning
• 4:24
  with
• 4:24
  pictures
• 4:25
  and
• 4:25
  a
• 4:25
  video
• 4:26
  of
• 4:26
  somebody
• 4:26
  that
• 4:27
  had
• 4:27
  a
• 4:27
  windstorm
• 4:28
  last
• 4:28
  night
• 4:29
  wherever
• 4:29
  they
• 4:29
  were
• 4:29
  located.
• 4:30
  And
• 4:30
  then
• 4:30
  they
• 4:31
  had
• 4:31
  the
• 4:31
  old.
• 4:31
  The
• 4:31
  old
• 4:32
  stockpot
• 4:32
  sitting
• 4:33
  over
• 4:33
  the
• 4:34
  upside
• 4:34
  edge
• 4:35
  of
• 4:35
  their
• 4:35
  skylight.
• 4:36
  And
• 4:36
  I'm
• 4:36
  like,
• 4:36
  well,
• 4:37
  you
• 4:37
  could
• 4:37
  have
• 4:38
  lost
• 4:38
  shingles.
• 4:38
  You
• 4:39
  could
• 4:39
  have
• 4:39
  had
• 4:39
  a
• 4:39
  bad
• 4:39
  flash
• 4:40
  skylight.
• 4:41
  You
• 4:41
  could
• 4:41
  add
• 4:41
  a
• 4:41
  lot
• 4:41
  of
• 4:42
  things.
• 4:42
  Have
• 4:42
  you
• 4:42
  been
• 4:42
  on
• 4:43
  the
• 4:43
  roof?
• 4:43
  I
• 4:43
  haven't
• 4:43
  been
• 4:43
  up
• 4:43
  there
• 4:43
  for
• 4:44
  years.
• 4:44
  Yeah.
• 4:45
  And
• 4:45
  obviously
• 4:45
  they
• 4:45
  need
• 4:46
  somebody
• 4:46
  to
• 4:46
  get
• 4:46
  up
• 4:46
  there
• 4:46
  to
• 4:46
  take
• 4:47
  care
• 4:47
  of
• 4:47
  that,
• 4:47
  because
• 4:47
  that
• 4:48
  problem
• 4:48
  is
• 4:48
  not
• 4:48
  going
• 4:48
  to
• 4:48
  get
• 4:49
  better.
• 4:49
  Yeah.
• 4:50
  No,
• 4:50
  it's.
• 4:51
  And
• 4:51
  it's
• 4:51
  something
• 4:51
  a
• 4:51
  lot
• 4:51
  of
• 4:51
  us
• 4:52
  don't
• 4:52
  like
• 4:52
  to
• 4:52
  do,
• 4:53
  and
• 4:53
  especially
• 4:53
  a
• 4:53
  lot
• 4:54
  of
• 4:54
  our
• 4:54
  lives.
• 4:54
  Our
• 4:54
  wives
• 4:55
  don't
• 4:55
  want
• 4:55
  us
• 4:56
  up
• 4:56
  on
• 4:56
  those
• 4:56
  ladders.
• 4:57
  Right.
• 4:58
  It's
• 4:58
  like
• 4:58
  Christmas
• 4:59
  light.
• 4:59
  Companies
• 4:59
  are
• 4:59
  getting
• 5:00
  bigger
• 5:00
  and
• 5:00
  bigger.
• 5:00
  Right.
• 5:01
  It's
• 5:01
  not
• 5:01
  always
• 5:01
  the
• 5:01
  safest
• 5:02
  to
• 5:02
  do.
• 5:02
  Back
• 5:03
  to
• 5:03
  the
• 5:03
  point
• 5:03
  of
• 5:04
  those
• 5:04
  windstorms
• 5:04
  come
• 5:05
  through.
• 5:05
  A
• 5:05
  lot
• 5:05
  of
• 5:05
  times
• 5:06
  those
• 5:06
  shingles
• 5:07
  will
• 5:07
  break
• 5:07
  the
• 5:07
  seals.
• 5:08
  They'll
• 5:08
  lift
• 5:08
  up,
• 5:08
  they'll
• 5:08
  lay
• 5:09
  back
• 5:09
  down.
• 5:09
  And
• 5:09
  we
• 5:10
  still
• 5:10
  don't
• 5:10
  realize
• 5:11
  that
• 5:11
  there's
• 5:11
  damage
• 5:12
  up
• 5:12
  there,
• 5:12
  they
• 5:12
  crease,
• 5:13
  the
• 5:13
  granules
• 5:13
  come
• 5:13
  off,
• 5:14
  then
• 5:14
  when
• 5:14
  they
• 5:14
  lay
• 5:14
  back
• 5:15
  in,
• 5:15
  they
• 5:15
  don't
• 5:15
  reseal.
• 5:16
  So,
• 5:17
  yeah,
• 5:17
  anytime
• 5:17
  that
• 5:17
  we
• 5:18
  get
• 5:18
  really
• 5:19
  winds
• 5:19
  over
• 5:20
  40,
• 5:20
  50
• 5:21
  miles
• 5:21
  an
• 5:21
  hour,
• 5:22
  we
• 5:22
  get
• 5:22
  those
• 5:23
  really
• 5:23
  gully
• 5:23
  washer
• 5:24
  storms
• 5:24
  that
• 5:24
  come
• 5:24
  through
• 5:25
  and
• 5:25
  they
• 5:25
  cause
• 5:25
  damage
• 5:25
  to
• 5:26
  everything
• 5:26
  else.
• 5:26
  If
• 5:26
  you're
• 5:26
  seeing
• 5:27
  trees
• 5:27
  down,
• 5:27
  if
• 5:27
  you're
• 5:28
  seeing
• 5:28
  that,
• 5:28
  it's
• 5:28
  always
• 5:29
  a
• 5:29
  good
• 5:29
  idea
• 5:29
  just
• 5:29
  to
• 5:29
  have
• 5:30
  it
• 5:30
  take
• 5:30
  a
• 5:30
  look
• 5:30
  at
• 5:30
  it.
• 5:30
  Right.
• 5:31
  See
• 5:31
  what's
• 5:31
  going
• 5:31
  on.
• 5:32
  For
• 5:32
  anything,
• 5:33
  either
• 5:33
  number
• 5:33
  one,
• 5:34
  peace
• 5:34
  of
• 5:34
  mind,
• 5:34
  or
• 5:35
  number
• 5:35
  two,
• 5:35
  documentation
• 5:36
  of
• 5:36
  that,
• 5:36
  like,
• 5:36
  hey,
• 5:37
  it
• 5:37
  was
• 5:37
  okay.
• 5:37
  Right?
• 5:38
  Yeah.
• 5:38
  That
• 5:39
  plays
• 5:39
  into
• 5:40
  down
• 5:40
  the
• 5:41
  road
• 5:41
  if
• 5:41
  we
• 5:41
  do
• 5:41
  have
• 5:41
  another
• 5:42
  claim,
• 5:42
  making
• 5:42
  sure
• 5:42
  that
• 5:43
  we
• 5:43
  know
• 5:43
  exactly
• 5:43
  when
• 5:44
  that
• 5:44
  damage
• 5:44
  occurred,
• 5:45
  because
• 5:46
  it's
• 5:46
  crucial
• 5:46
  in
• 5:47
  order
• 5:47
  for
• 5:47
  the
• 5:47
  filing
• 5:47
  dates
• 5:48
  to
• 5:48
  be
• 5:48
  correct.
• 5:49
  Yeah.
• 5:49
  It
• 5:49
  gives
• 5:49
  you
• 5:49
  a
• 5:50
  timestamp
• 5:50
  and
• 5:50
  kind
• 5:51
  of
• 5:51
  a
• 5:51
  doctor's
• 5:51
  order
• 5:51
  saying,
• 5:52
  hey,
• 5:52
  you
• 5:52
  passed
• 5:52
  the
• 5:52
  clean
• 5:53
  checkup
• 5:53
  on
• 5:53
  this
• 5:54
  date.
• 5:54
  So
• 5:54
  between
• 5:55
  point
• 5:55
  A
• 5:55
  and
• 5:55
  point
• 5:55
  B,
• 5:56
  and
• 5:56
  it's
• 5:56
  got
• 5:56
  to
• 5:56
  be
• 5:57
  a
• 5:57
  problem
• 5:57
  when
• 5:57
  dealing
• 5:57
  with
• 5:58
  insurance
• 5:58
  claims
• 5:58
  is
• 5:59
  if
• 5:59
  someone
• 5:59
  hasn't
• 5:59
  been
• 6:00
  up
• 6:00
  on
• 6:00
  that
• 6:00
  room,
• 6:01
  up
• 6:01
  on
• 6:01
  that
• 6:01
  roof
• 6:02
  for
• 6:02
  5,
• 6:02
  10,
• 6:03
  15
• 6:03
  years,
• 6:04
  nobody
• 6:05
  has
• 6:05
  any
• 6:05
  idea
• 6:06
  what
• 6:06
  that
• 6:06
  thing
• 6:06
  looked
• 6:07
  like.
• 6:07
  And
• 6:07
  now
• 6:07
  you're
• 6:07
  looking
• 6:07
  at
• 6:08
  a
• 6:08
  hole
• 6:08
  up
• 6:08
  there
• 6:08
  that
• 6:09
  could
• 6:09
  have
• 6:09
  been
• 6:09
  done
• 6:10
  two
• 6:10
  weeks
• 6:10
  or
• 6:10
  two
• 6:11
  years
• 6:11
  ago.
• 6:11
  Yeah.
• 6:12
  And
• 6:12
  we
• 6:12
  have
• 6:12
  certain
• 6:13
  forensic
• 6:14
  data
• 6:14
  companies
• 6:14
  that
• 6:15
  give
• 6:15
  us
• 6:15
  benchmarks
• 6:16
  as
• 6:16
  to
• 6:16
  when
• 6:17
  certain
• 6:18
  storms
• 6:18
  hit
• 6:18
  certain
• 6:19
  size.
• 6:19
  But
• 6:19
  all
• 6:20
  those
• 6:20
  reporting
• 6:21
  systems
• 6:21
  are
• 6:21
  also
• 6:22
  contradict
• 6:23
  each
• 6:23
  other.
• 6:23
  Right.
• 6:24
  And
• 6:24
  so
• 6:25
  if
• 6:25
  we
• 6:25
  don't
• 6:25
  routinely
• 6:26
  check
• 6:26
  what's
• 6:27
  going
• 6:27
  on
• 6:27
  with
• 6:27
  our
• 6:27
  home.
• 6:28
  You're
• 6:28
  exactly
• 6:29
  right.
• 6:29
  We
• 6:29
  don't
• 6:29
  know
• 6:29
  when
• 6:30
  something
• 6:30
  occurred.
• 6:30
  And
• 6:31
  better
• 6:31
  yet,
• 6:32
  we
• 6:32
  can't
• 6:32
  prevent
• 6:33
  something
• 6:34
  that
• 6:34
  is
• 6:34
  going
• 6:35
  to
• 6:35
  be
• 6:35
  exacerbated.
• 6:36
  Right.
• 6:36
  So
• 6:36
  what
• 6:36
  we
• 6:37
  could
• 6:37
  fix
• 6:37
  today
• 6:38
  for
• 6:38
  100
• 6:39
  bucks
• 6:39
  could
• 6:40
  cost
• 6:40
  us
• 6:41
  a
• 6:41
  whole
• 6:41
  lot
• 6:41
  more
• 6:41
  than
• 6:41
  that
• 6:42
  up
• 6:42
  on
• 6:42
  top
• 6:42
  of
• 6:42
  the
• 6:42
  roof.
• 6:43
  And
• 6:43
  then
• 6:43
  what
• 6:43
  comes
• 6:44
  in.
• 6:44
  Right.
• 6:44
  And
• 6:44
  we
• 6:44
  can
• 6:45
  end
• 6:45
  up
• 6:45
  with
• 6:45
  saturated
• 6:46
  insulation,
• 6:47
  drywall
• 6:47
  damage,
• 6:48
  interior
• 6:49
  issues
• 6:49
  that
• 6:49
  we
• 6:49
  have
• 6:49
  to
• 6:49
  clean
• 6:50
  up.
• 6:50
  Right.
• 6:50
  And
• 6:50
  that
• 6:51
  gets
• 6:51
  a
• 6:51
  lot
• 6:51
  more
• 6:51
  costly.
• 6:52
  So,
• 6:52
  yeah.
• 6:52
  What
• 6:53
  could
• 6:53
  have
• 6:53
  been
• 6:53
  a
• 6:53
  $500
• 6:54
  fix
• 6:54
  now
• 6:54
  turns
• 6:55
  into
• 6:55
  a
• 6:56
  30,
• 6:57
  40,
• 6:57
  $50,000
• 6:58
  fix
• 6:58
  because
• 6:58
  now
• 6:59
  you
• 6:59
  got
• 6:59
  mold
• 6:59
  in
• 6:59
  the
• 6:59
  attic
• 7:00
  space,
• 7:00
  you
• 7:00
  got
• 7:00
  wet
• 7:00
  insulation,
• 7:01
  you
• 7:01
  got
• 7:01
  drywall
• 7:02
  repairs,
• 7:02
  and
• 7:02
  you
• 7:03
  got
• 7:03
  a
• 7:03
  hot
• 7:03
  mess
• 7:03
  going
• 7:04
  on.
• 7:04
  And
• 7:05
  that
• 7:05
  can
• 7:05
  just
• 7:05
  be
• 7:06
  like
• 7:06
  a
• 7:06
  stack
• 7:06
  of
• 7:06
  dominoes
• 7:07
  falling
• 7:08
  if
• 7:08
  you
• 7:08
  just
• 7:09
  ignore
• 7:09
  it,
• 7:09
  because
• 7:10
  they
• 7:10
  never
• 7:10
  get
• 7:11
  better.
• 7:11
  Roof
• 7:11
  leaks
• 7:12
  never
• 7:12
  seal
• 7:13
  themselves?
• 7:13
  No,
• 7:14
  very
• 7:14
  few.
• 7:14
  There's
• 7:15
  not
• 7:15
  really
• 7:15
  a.
• 7:15
  There's
• 7:16
  only
• 7:16
  one
• 7:16
  type
• 7:16
  of
• 7:16
  roof
• 7:16
  that's
• 7:17
  self
• 7:17
  ceiling,
• 7:17
  and
• 7:17
  it's
• 7:18
  not
• 7:18
  meant
• 7:18
  to
• 7:18
  go
• 7:18
  on
• 7:19
  top
• 7:19
  of
• 7:19
  residential
• 7:20
  homes.
• 7:21
  And
• 7:21
  yeah,
• 7:22
  it's
• 7:22
  only
• 7:22
  going
• 7:22
  to
• 7:22
  be
• 7:23
  Exacerbated.
• 7:23
  And
• 7:24
  what
• 7:24
  we
• 7:24
  have
• 7:24
  to
• 7:25
  remember
• 7:25
  too
• 7:25
  is
• 7:26
  a
• 7:26
  lot
• 7:26
  of
• 7:27
  those
• 7:27
  leaks
• 7:27
  are
• 7:27
  slow
• 7:28
  leaks.
• 7:28
  So
• 7:28
  you're
• 7:28
  like
• 7:28
  a
• 7:29
  slow
• 7:29
  burn.
• 7:29
  Right.
• 7:30
  And
• 7:30
  so
• 7:30
  it'll
• 7:30
  trickle
• 7:30
  in
• 7:30
  through
• 7:31
  the
• 7:31
  years.
• 7:32
  It'll
• 7:32
  get
• 7:32
  in
• 7:32
  that
• 7:33
  attic
• 7:33
  insulation.
• 7:34
  It'll
• 7:34
  get
• 7:34
  in
• 7:34
  the
• 7:34
  walls.
• 7:34
  We
• 7:35
  don't
• 7:35
  know
• 7:35
  it's
• 7:35
  there.
• 7:36
  Right.
• 7:36
  Because
• 7:36
  a
• 7:36
  lot
• 7:36
  of
• 7:36
  times
• 7:37
  it
• 7:37
  takes
• 7:37
  a
• 7:37
  long
• 7:37
  time
• 7:38
  for
• 7:38
  it
• 7:38
  to
• 7:38
  get
• 7:38
  saturated
• 7:39
  enough.
• 7:40
  So
• 7:41
  another
• 7:41
  good
• 7:41
  thing
• 7:42
  along
• 7:42
  with
• 7:42
  having
• 7:43
  that
• 7:43
  roof
• 7:43
  inspected
• 7:44
  is
• 7:45
  also
• 7:45
  peeking
• 7:46
  up
• 7:46
  in
• 7:46
  your
• 7:46
  attic
• 7:46
  every
• 7:46
  now
• 7:47
  and
• 7:47
  then.
• 7:47
  Just
• 7:48
  peek
• 7:48
  up
• 7:48
  in
• 7:48
  there.
• 7:49
  Flashlight,
• 7:49
  take
• 7:49
  a
• 7:50
  look,
• 7:50
  see
• 7:50
  what's
• 7:50
  going
• 7:51
  on.
• 7:51
  Look
• 7:51
  at
• 7:51
  the
• 7:51
  underside
• 7:52
  of
• 7:52
  the
• 7:52
  decking.
• 7:53
  Look
• 7:53
  and
• 7:53
  see.
• 7:54
  Do
• 7:54
  we
• 7:54
  have
• 7:54
  anything
• 7:54
  growing
• 7:55
  up
• 7:55
  there?
• 7:55
  Is
• 7:55
  anything
• 7:56
  microbial
• 7:56
  that
• 7:57
  we
• 7:57
  see
• 7:57
  for
• 7:58
  dark
• 7:58
  spots,
• 7:59
  for
• 7:59
  growth?
• 7:59
  Just.
• 8:00
  That's
• 8:00
  a
• 8:00
  good
• 8:01
  indicator
• 8:01
  that
• 8:02
  it's
• 8:02
  not
• 8:02
  always
• 8:03
  an
• 8:03
  indicator
• 8:03
  that
• 8:04
  the
• 8:04
  roof
• 8:04
  is
• 8:04
  an
• 8:04
  issue,
• 8:05
  but
• 8:05
  it's
• 8:05
  a
• 8:05
  good
• 8:05
  one.
• 8:06
  That's
• 8:06
  probably
• 8:06
  where
• 8:06
  we
• 8:06
  should
• 8:07
  start
• 8:07
  looking.
• 8:07
  It's
• 8:08
  funny,
• 8:08
  I've
• 8:08
  been
• 8:08
  on
• 8:08
  a
• 8:09
  lot
• 8:09
  of
• 8:09
  roofs
• 8:09
  in
• 8:09
  my
• 8:09
  life
• 8:10
  and
• 8:10
  it's
• 8:10
  so
• 8:10
  funny.
• 8:11
  You'll
• 8:11
  get
• 8:11
  up
• 8:11
  there,
• 8:12
  the
• 8:12
  roof
• 8:12
  looks
• 8:13
  in
• 8:13
  decent
• 8:13
  shape
• 8:14
  inside.
• 8:15
  There's
• 8:15
  no
• 8:15
  sign
• 8:15
  of
• 8:16
  water
• 8:16
  damage.
• 8:17
  But
• 8:17
  you
• 8:17
  go
• 8:17
  walking
• 8:18
  across
• 8:18
  and
• 8:18
  you
• 8:18
  go,
• 8:19
  wow,
• 8:19
  that
• 8:20
  is
• 8:20
  a
• 8:20
  little
• 8:20
  spongy
• 8:21
  right
• 8:21
  here.
• 8:22
  Obviously
• 8:23
  something
• 8:23
  going
• 8:23
  on
• 8:23
  beneath
• 8:24
  it.
• 8:24
  Because
• 8:25
  now
• 8:25
  it
• 8:25
  feels
• 8:25
  like
• 8:25
  you're
• 8:26
  walking
• 8:26
  on
• 8:26
  a
• 8:26
  trampoline
• 8:27
  instead
• 8:27
  of
• 8:27
  onto
• 8:27
  a
• 8:28
  roof
• 8:28
  deck.
• 8:29
  Yeah.
• 8:29
  With
• 8:29
  that.
• 8:30
  Right.
• 8:30
  Just
• 8:31
  depends
• 8:31
  on.
• 8:32
  Older
• 8:32
  homes
• 8:33
  used
• 8:33
  to
• 8:33
  be
• 8:33
  built
• 8:34
  with
• 8:34
  24
• 8:34
  centers
• 8:35
  on
• 8:35
  the
• 8:35
  trusses.
• 8:36
  Right.
• 8:36
  And
• 8:36
  three,
• 8:36
  eight
• 8:36
  decking.
• 8:37
  So
• 8:37
  you're
• 8:37
  going
• 8:37
  to
• 8:37
  feel
• 8:37
  that
• 8:38
  deflection
• 8:38
  regardless.
• 8:39
  Yeah.
• 8:40
  Also
• 8:40
  what
• 8:40
  it
• 8:41
  could
• 8:41
  be.
• 8:41
  Right.
• 8:41
  A
• 8:41
  lot
• 8:42
  of
• 8:42
  times
• 8:42
  is
• 8:43
  heat
• 8:43
  rot.
• 8:44
  A
• 8:44
  lot
• 8:45
  of
• 8:45
  times,
• 8:45
  if
• 8:45
  not
• 8:45
  properly
• 8:46
  ventilated,
• 8:46
  that
• 8:46
  decking
• 8:47
  will
• 8:47
  start
• 8:47
  to
• 8:47
  delaminate
• 8:48
  due
• 8:48
  to
• 8:48
  just
• 8:49
  the
• 8:49
  actual
• 8:50
  heat
• 8:50
  itself.
• 8:51
  And
• 8:51
  then
• 8:51
  two,
• 8:51
  if
• 8:51
  you've
• 8:52
  had
• 8:52
  a
• 8:52
  couple,
• 8:52
  two
• 8:53
  or
• 8:53
  three
• 8:53
  roofs
• 8:53
  put
• 8:53
  on
• 8:54
  there.
• 8:54
  Every
• 8:54
  time
• 8:54
  you
• 8:54
  put
• 8:54
  a
• 8:55
  roof
• 8:55
  on
• 8:55
  and
• 8:55
  take
• 8:55
  it
• 8:55
  off,
• 8:56
  we're
• 8:56
  putting
• 8:57
  tens
• 8:57
  of
• 8:57
  thousands
• 8:58
  of
• 8:58
  nails
• 8:59
  in
• 8:59
  and
• 8:59
  out
• 8:59
  of
• 8:59
  that
• 8:59
  roof.
• 9:00
  Right?
• 9:00
  Yeah.
• 9:01
  And
• 9:01
  so
• 9:01
  you
• 9:01
  can
• 9:02
  start
• 9:02
  to
• 9:02
  get
• 9:02
  that
• 9:02
  Swiss
• 9:03
  cheese
• 9:03
  effect
• 9:03
  Right.
• 9:04
  Of
• 9:04
  the
• 9:04
  decking.
• 9:05
  And
• 9:05
  it's
• 9:06
  obviously
• 9:06
  going
• 9:06
  to
• 9:07
  compromise
• 9:07
  the
• 9:07
  integrity
• 9:08
  of
• 9:08
  that.
• 9:08
  Of
• 9:08
  that
• 9:08
  wood.
• 9:09
  Or
• 9:09
  you
• 9:09
  had
• 9:09
  a
• 9:10
  framer
• 9:10
  that
• 9:10
  missed
• 9:11
  decking
• 9:11
  day
• 9:11
  and
• 9:11
  cut
• 9:12
  that
• 9:12
  thing
• 9:12
  about
• 9:12
  three,
• 9:12
  eight
• 9:13
  too
• 9:13
  short.
• 9:13
  And
• 9:13
  it's
• 9:13
  just
• 9:14
  missing
• 9:14
  the
• 9:14
  edge
• 9:15
  in
• 9:15
  that
• 9:15
  one
• 9:15
  too.
• 9:15
  Right.
• 9:16
  We.
• 9:16
  I
• 9:17
  have
• 9:17
  seen
• 9:17
  holes
• 9:18
  roofed
• 9:18
  over
• 9:19
  that
• 9:19
  are
• 9:19
  large
• 9:20
  enough
• 9:20
  for
• 9:20
  men
• 9:20
  to
• 9:20
  fall
• 9:21
  through,
• 9:21
  no
• 9:21
  problem.
• 9:22
  Right.
• 9:22
  Without
• 9:22
  any
• 9:22
  type
• 9:23
  of
• 9:23
  coverage
• 9:24
  or
• 9:24
  buttoning
• 9:25
  it
• 9:25
  up.
• 9:25
  And
• 9:25
  I've
• 9:26
  seen
• 9:26
  all
• 9:26
  kinds
• 9:26
  of
• 9:26
  things
• 9:26
  under
• 9:27
  roofs
• 9:27
  through
• 9:27
  the
• 9:27
  years.
• 9:28
  Yeah.
• 9:28
  Oh,
• 9:28
  yeah.
• 9:28
  Well,
• 9:29
  I
• 9:29
  gotta
• 9:29
  ask
• 9:29
  you,
• 9:29
  insurance
• 9:30
  Companies.
• 9:30
  Are
• 9:30
  a
• 9:31
  business
• 9:31
  and
• 9:32
  they're
• 9:32
  probably
• 9:33
  one
• 9:33
  of
• 9:33
  the
• 9:33
  most
• 9:33
  hated
• 9:34
  out
• 9:34
  there
• 9:34
  as
• 9:34
  far
• 9:34
  as
• 9:35
  you
• 9:35
  always
• 9:35
  see
• 9:35
  them
• 9:35
  walking
• 9:36
  into
• 9:36
  the
• 9:36
  house
• 9:36
  with
• 9:36
  the
• 9:37
  black
• 9:37
  hat
• 9:37
  on
• 9:37
  and
• 9:37
  the
• 9:38
  cowboy
• 9:38
  hat
• 9:38
  being
• 9:38
  the
• 9:39
  villain.
• 9:39
  But
• 9:40
  we
• 9:40
  also
• 9:40
  have
• 9:41
  to
• 9:41
  remember
• 9:41
  they're
• 9:42
  a
• 9:42
  business
• 9:42
  and
• 9:42
  a
• 9:43
  profit
• 9:43
  center
• 9:43
  themselves
• 9:44
  and
• 9:46
  their
• 9:46
  job
• 9:46
  is
• 9:46
  to
• 9:47
  keep
• 9:47
  their
• 9:47
  company
• 9:47
  profitable
• 9:48
  so
• 9:48
  it
• 9:48
  keeps
• 9:49
  going
• 9:49
  so
• 9:49
  they
• 9:49
  can
• 9:49
  insure
• 9:49
  more
• 9:50
  people.
• 9:51
  And
• 9:51
  so
• 9:51
  many
• 9:52
  times
• 9:52
  it's
• 9:52
  smart
• 9:53
  for
• 9:53
  you
• 9:53
  to
• 9:53
  think,
• 9:53
  oh,
• 9:54
  they're
• 9:54
  not
• 9:54
  on
• 9:54
  my
• 9:54
  side.
• 9:55
  They're
• 9:55
  not
• 9:55
  my
• 9:55
  partner.
• 9:56
  I
• 9:56
  need
• 9:56
  help
• 9:57
  navigating
• 9:57
  this.
• 9:58
  What
• 9:59
  is
• 9:59
  the
• 9:59
  best
• 9:59
  way?
• 9:59
  Since
• 10:00
  you
• 10:00
  guys
• 10:00
  work
• 10:00
  with
• 10:01
  a
• 10:01
  lot
• 10:01
  of
• 10:02
  insurance
• 10:02
  companies
• 10:02
  and
• 10:03
  work
• 10:03
  alongside
• 10:03
  them,
• 10:04
  what's
• 10:04
  the
• 10:04
  best
• 10:04
  way
• 10:04
  to
• 10:05
  navigate
• 10:05
  storm
• 10:06
  damage?
• 10:06
  Depend.
• 10:07
  It's
• 10:07
  going
• 10:07
  to
• 10:07
  depend
• 10:08
  on
• 10:08
  the
• 10:08
  state
• 10:08
  that
• 10:08
  you're
• 10:09
  in
• 10:09
  on
• 10:10
  how?
• 10:10
  I
• 10:10
  can
• 10:10
  answer
• 10:11
  that
• 10:11
  as
• 10:11
  a
• 10:12
  contractor,
• 10:13
  depending
• 10:13
  on
• 10:13
  the
• 10:13
  state
• 10:14
  that
• 10:14
  you're
• 10:14
  in
• 10:14
  is
• 10:14
  going
• 10:15
  to
• 10:15
  depend
• 10:15
  on
• 10:15
  where
• 10:16
  your
• 10:16
  contractor
• 10:16
  can
• 10:17
  play
• 10:17
  a
• 10:17
  role.
• 10:17
  But
• 10:17
  ultimately,
• 10:18
  having
• 10:18
  a
• 10:19
  contractor
• 10:19
  that
• 10:19
  is
• 10:20
  versed
• 10:21
  and
• 10:21
  is
• 10:21
  trained
• 10:22
  in
• 10:22
  actual
• 10:22
  identifying
• 10:23
  what
• 10:23
  real
• 10:23
  storm
• 10:24
  damage
• 10:24
  is
• 10:25
  versus
• 10:26
  the
• 10:26
  idea
• 10:26
  of
• 10:26
  what
• 10:26
  a
• 10:27
  carrier
• 10:27
  is
• 10:27
  going
• 10:28
  to
• 10:28
  pay
• 10:28
  for
• 10:28
  is
• 10:28
  totally
• 10:29
  different.
• 10:29
  Round
• 10:29
  the
• 10:29
  house.
• 10:29
  You'll
• 10:29
  be
• 10:30
  right
• 10:30
  back
• 10:30
  with
• 10:30
  more
• 10:31
  from
• 10:31
  Matt
• 10:31
  Spanton
• 10:32
  from
• 10:32
  Rafter
• 10:33
  X.

  then

  let's

  get
• 13:12
  back
• 13:12
  to
• 13:12

  Matt.
• 13:13
  So
• 13:13
  having
• 13:14
  a
• 13:14
  reputable
• 13:15
  contractor
• 13:16
  who

  knows

  what
• 13:16
  they're
• 13:17
  looking
• 13:17
  for,
• 13:17
  who's
• 13:17
  been
• 13:18
  around
• 13:18
  the
• 13:18

• 13:18
  who's
• 13:19
  got
• 13:19
  good
• 13:19
  reviews
• 13:20
  and
• 13:20
  good
• 13:20
  referrals,
• 13:21
  oftentimes
• 13:22
  contractors
• 13:23
  like
• 13:23
  ourselves
• 13:24
  are,
• 13:24
  I
• 13:25
  won't
• 13:25
  say,
• 13:25
  tied

  carriers.
• 13:26
  We're
• 13:27
  not.
• 13:27
  But
• 13:27
  we
• 13:27
  do
• 13:28

• 13:28
  in
• 13:28
  certain
• 13:28
  preferred
• 13:29
  programs
• 13:29
  where
• 13:29
  we've
• 13:30
  been
• 13:30
  vetted.
• 13:31
  They've
• 13:31
  checked
• 13:31
  our
• 13:32
  licensing,
• 13:32
  they
• 13:32
  checked
• 13:32
  our
• 13:33
  insurance.
• 13:33
  We've
• 13:34
  been
• 13:34
  through
• 13:34
  all
• 13:35
  of
• 13:35
  the
• 13:35
  background
• 13:35
  checks.
• 13:36
  Our
• 13:36
  folks
• 13:36
  are
• 13:36
  through
• 13:37
  the
• 13:37
  background
• 13:37
  checks
• 13:37
  and
• 13:37
  we
• 13:38
  pass
• 13:38
  the
• 13:38
  sniff
• 13:38
  test
• 13:39
  to
• 13:39
  be
• 13:39
  able
• 13:39
  to
• 13:39
  work
• 13:40
  as
• 13:40
  a
• 13:40
  preferred
• 13:40
  contractor
• 13:41
  to
• 13:41
  their
• 13:41
  claims.
• 13:42
  Those
• 13:42
  are
• 13:42
  really
• 13:43
  important
• 13:43
  things.
• 13:44
  We
• 13:44
  want
• 13:44
  to
• 13:44
  make
• 13:45
  sure
• 13:45
  that
• 13:45
  we're
• 13:46
  operating
• 13:46
  as
• 13:46
  a
• 13:47
  contractor
• 13:47
  with
• 13:47
  the
• 13:48
  same
• 13:48
  integrity
• 13:48
  that
• 13:48
  we'd
• 13:49
  like
• 13:49
  to
• 13:49
  think
• 13:49
  that
• 13:49
  the
• 13:50
  insurance
• 13:50
  company
• 13:50
  is
• 13:50
  going
• 13:51
  to
• 13:51
  offer
• 13:51
  that
• 13:51
  client
• 13:51
  as
• 13:52
  well.
• 13:52
  And
• 13:53
  so
• 13:53
  we
• 13:53
  try
• 13:53
  to
• 13:54
  put
• 13:54
  that
• 13:54
  best
• 13:54
  foot
• 13:55
  forward
• 13:55
  first
• 13:55
  for
• 13:55
  our
• 13:56
  clients
• 13:56
  and
• 13:57
  operate
• 13:57
  out
• 13:57
  of
• 13:57
  integrity
• 13:58
  to
• 13:58
  start
• 13:59
  and
• 13:59
  then
• 14:00
  making
• 14:00
  sure
• 14:00
  that
• 14:01
  your
• 14:02
  contractor
• 14:02
  briefs
• 14:03
  you
• 14:04
  on
• 14:04
  where
• 14:04
  they
• 14:04
  can
• 14:05
  fall
• 14:05
  in
• 14:05
  the
• 14:05
  process.
• 14:06
  So
• 14:06
  what
• 14:06
  I
• 14:06
  can
• 14:06
  do
• 14:06
  in
• 14:07
  Florida
• 14:07
  in
• 14:07
  comparison
• 14:08
  to
• 14:08
  what
• 14:08
  I
• 14:08
  can
• 14:08
  do
• 14:08
  in
• 14:09
  Georgia
• 14:09
  is
• 14:10
  totally
• 14:10
  different
• 14:10
  as
• 14:11
  far
• 14:11
  as
• 14:11
  answering
• 14:12
  that
• 14:12
  question.
• 14:13
  In
• 14:13
  Florida
• 14:14
  I
• 14:14
  can
• 14:14
  just
• 14:14
  present
• 14:15
  the
• 14:15
  damage
• 14:16
  and
• 14:16
  what
• 14:16
  it
• 14:16
  takes
• 14:16
  to
• 14:16
  replace
• 14:17
  the
• 14:17
  roof.
• 14:18
  In
• 14:18
  Georgia
• 14:19
  I
• 14:19
  have
• 14:19
  a
• 14:19
  little
• 14:20
  bit
• 14:20
  more
• 14:21
  freedom
• 14:21
  of
• 14:22
  how
• 14:22
  I
• 14:22
  can
• 14:22
  help
• 14:23
  the
• 14:23
  client
• 14:24
  understand
• 14:24
  the
• 14:24
  claims
• 14:25
  process.
• 14:25
  I
• 14:26
  can't
• 14:26
  direct
• 14:26
  them
• 14:26
  on
• 14:27
  policy,
• 14:27
  I
• 14:27
  can't
• 14:27
  do
• 14:28
  that.
• 14:28
  But
• 14:28
  I
• 14:28
  can
• 14:28
  work
• 14:28
  within
• 14:29
  the
• 14:29
  claim
• 14:29
  policy
• 14:29
  a
• 14:29
  little
• 14:29
  bit
• 14:30
  different
• 14:30
  or
• 14:31
  process,
• 14:31
  I
• 14:31
  should
• 14:31
  say,
• 14:32
  than
• 14:32
  I
• 14:32
  could
• 14:32
  in
• 14:33
  Florida
• 14:33
  or
• 14:33
  say
• 14:33
  California.
• 14:34
  We
• 14:34
  were
• 14:34
  talking
• 14:34
  about
• 14:34
  California
• 14:35
  earlier.
• 14:35
  Yeah,
• 14:36
  you
• 14:36
  have
• 14:36
  to
• 14:36
  have
• 14:36
  public
• 14:36
  adjusters
• 14:37
  involved
• 14:37
  in
• 14:37
  some
• 14:38
  of
• 14:38
  those
• 14:38
  states.
• 14:38
  Yeah,
• 14:39
  it's
• 14:39
  interesting
• 14:39
  how
• 14:39
  it's
• 14:40
  state
• 14:40
  by
• 14:40
  state,
• 14:40
  region
• 14:41
  by
• 14:41
  region
• 14:41
  like
• 14:41
  that,
• 14:42
  and
• 14:42
  how
• 14:43
  different
• 14:43
  it
• 14:43
  is.
• 14:44
  And
• 14:44
  I
• 14:44
  think
• 14:44
  one
• 14:44
  of
• 14:44
  the
• 14:44
  other.
• 14:44
  Important
• 14:45
  things
• 14:45
  is
• 14:45
  roofs
• 14:46
  right
• 14:46
  now
• 14:46
  are
• 14:46
  roof
• 14:46
  systems.
• 14:47
  This
• 14:47
  is
• 14:47
  not
• 14:48
  your
• 14:48
  1980s
• 14:49
  throw
• 14:50
  down
• 14:50
  the
• 14:50
  15
• 14:50
  or
• 14:51
  30
• 14:51
  pound
• 14:51
  felt
• 14:52
  and
• 14:52
  throw
• 14:52
  in
• 14:52
  some
• 14:52
  shingles
• 14:53
  over
• 14:53
  the
• 14:53
  top
• 14:53
  of
• 14:53
  it.
• 14:54
  Some
• 14:54
  of
• 14:54
  these
• 14:54
  things
• 14:55
  now
• 14:55
  have,
• 14:55
  okay,
• 14:56
  you
• 14:56
  need
• 14:56
  to
• 14:56
  use
• 14:56
  this
• 14:56
  layer
• 14:57
  and
• 14:57
  this
• 14:57
  layer
• 14:58
  just
• 14:58
  to
• 14:58
  get
• 14:58
  the
• 14:59
  shingles
• 14:59
  on.
• 14:59
  And
• 15:00
  that's
• 15:00
  where
• 15:00
  that
• 15:01
  experienced
• 15:01
  contractor
• 15:02
  that
• 15:03
  really
• 15:03
  knows
• 15:04
  how
• 15:04
  these
• 15:05
  systems
• 15:05
  work
• 15:05
  together
• 15:06
  within
• 15:06
  the
• 15:07
  certain
• 15:07
  brands
• 15:07
  that
• 15:07
  they
• 15:07
  work
• 15:08
  with.
• 15:08
  Yeah,
• 15:09
  that's
• 15:09
  a
• 15:09
  great
• 15:09
  point,
• 15:09
  Eric.
• 15:10
  Those
• 15:11
  systems
• 15:11
  that
• 15:11
  we
• 15:12
  install,
• 15:13
  certain
• 15:14
  contractors
• 15:14
  can
• 15:15
  install
• 15:15
  those
• 15:15
  systems
• 15:16
  for
• 15:16
  the
• 15:16
  warranties
• 15:16
  and
• 15:17
  certain
• 15:17
  ones
• 15:17
  cannot.
• 15:18
  Right.
• 15:19
  The
• 15:19
  other
• 15:19
  thing
• 15:19
  is
• 15:19
  you
• 15:19
  get
• 15:19
  what
• 15:20
  you
• 15:20
  pay
• 15:20
  for.
• 15:21
  So
• 15:21
  those
• 15:21
  systems
• 15:22
  say
• 15:22
  if
• 15:22
  we're
• 15:22
  putting
• 15:22
  down
• 15:23
  a
• 15:23
  certainty
• 15:24
  warranty
• 15:25
  roof,
• 15:26
  we
• 15:27
  have
• 15:27
  to
• 15:27
  use
• 15:27
  not
• 15:28
  just
• 15:28
  their
• 15:28
  shingles,
• 15:29
  but
• 15:29
  we
• 15:29
  have
• 15:29
  to
• 15:29
  use
• 15:29
  their
• 15:30
  starter,
• 15:30
  their
• 15:30
  underlayment,
• 15:31
  their
• 15:31
  ice
• 15:32
  shield,
• 15:32
  their
• 15:32
  ridge
• 15:33
  cap,
• 15:33
  their
• 15:33
  ventilation.
• 15:34
  All
• 15:35
  those
• 15:35
  things
• 15:35
  are
• 15:35
  made
• 15:35
  in
• 15:35
  conjunction
• 15:36
  to
• 15:36
  work
• 15:36
  with.
• 15:37
  And
• 15:37
  we
• 15:37
  also
• 15:38
  have
• 15:38
  to
• 15:38
  be,
• 15:38
  we
• 15:38
  have
• 15:39
  to
• 15:39
  be
• 15:39
  versed
• 15:39
  and
• 15:39
  we
• 15:40
  have
• 15:40
  to
• 15:40
  be
• 15:40
  trained
• 15:41
  on
• 15:41
  their
• 15:41
  processes
• 15:42
  and
• 15:42
  how
• 15:42
  they
• 15:42
  want
• 15:43
  their
• 15:43
  nail,
• 15:44
  their
• 15:44
  nails
• 15:44
  laid
• 15:45
  right.
• 15:45
  And
• 15:45
  how
• 15:45
  they
• 15:46
  want
• 15:46
  their
• 15:46
  roofs
• 15:46
  trimmed
• 15:47
  back
• 15:47
  and
• 15:47
  which
• 15:48
  way
• 15:48
  their
• 15:48
  felt
• 15:48
  is
• 15:49
  going
• 15:49
  over
• 15:49
  or
• 15:49
  under
• 15:50
  in
• 15:50
  certain
• 15:50
  spots
• 15:51
  to
• 15:51
  be
• 15:51
  able
• 15:51
  to
• 15:51
  meet
• 15:52
  that
• 15:52
  warranty
• 15:52
  for
• 15:52
  you.
• 15:53
  But
• 15:53
  yeah,
• 15:54
  they,
• 15:54
  there's
• 15:55
  the
• 15:56
  warranty,
• 15:56
  a
• 15:56
  shingle.
• 15:57
  Right.
• 15:57
  With
• 15:58
  a
• 15:58
  very
• 15:58
  large
• 15:58
  proration.
• 15:59
  But
• 15:59
  unless
• 15:59
  you're
• 16:00
  using
• 16:00
  their
• 16:00
  components
• 16:01
  and
• 16:01
  all
• 16:01
  of
• 16:01
  their
• 16:01
  systems,
• 16:02
  you're
• 16:03
  not
• 16:03
  going
• 16:03
  to
• 16:03
  get
• 16:03
  the
• 16:03
  full
• 16:04
  gamut
• 16:04
  of
• 16:04
  what
• 16:04
  they
• 16:05
  actually
• 16:05
  will
• 16:05
  and
• 16:05
  can
• 16:06
  warranty.
• 16:07
  And
• 16:07
  those
• 16:07
  roofs
• 16:07
  cost
• 16:08
  more.
• 16:08
  If
• 16:08
  I'm
• 16:09
  going
• 16:09
  to
• 16:09
  buy
• 16:09
  underlayment
• 16:10
  from
• 16:10
  certain
• 16:11
  it's
• 16:11
  going
• 16:11
  to
• 16:11
  cost
• 16:12
  me
• 16:12
  more
• 16:12
  than
• 16:12
  buying
• 16:12
  it
• 16:13
  from
• 16:13
  brand
• 16:14
  X.
• 16:14
  Right.
• 16:15
  Yeah.
• 16:15
  And
• 16:16
  so
• 16:16
  for
• 16:16
  that,
• 16:17
  you're
• 16:17
  going
• 16:17
  to
• 16:17
  see
• 16:17
  that
• 16:18
  result
• 16:18
  in
• 16:19
  your
• 16:19
  quote
• 16:19
  or
• 16:19
  your
• 16:19
  bid.
• 16:20
  But
• 16:21
  we
• 16:22
  get
• 16:22
  what
• 16:22
  we
• 16:22
  pay
• 16:22
  for.
• 16:22
  We
• 16:23
  all
• 16:23
  know
• 16:23
  that
• 16:23
  same.
• 16:24
  Right.
• 16:24
  And
• 16:24
  with
• 16:25
  that,
• 16:25
  you
• 16:25
  get
• 16:25
  a
• 16:25
  much
• 16:26
  better
• 16:26
  warranty
• 16:26
  and
• 16:27
  somebody
• 16:27
  who's
• 16:27
  going
• 16:27
  to
• 16:27
  stand
• 16:28
  behind
• 16:28
  that
• 16:28
  product.
• 16:29
  I
• 16:29
  can't
• 16:29
  tell
• 16:29
  you
• 16:30
  how
• 16:30
  many
• 16:30
  times
• 16:30
  I've
• 16:30
  been
• 16:30
  driving
• 16:31
  around
• 16:31
  my
• 16:31
  area
• 16:31
  here
• 16:31
  and
• 16:32
  I
• 16:32
  see
• 16:32
  a
• 16:32
  roofer
• 16:32
  up
• 16:32
  working
• 16:33
  and
• 16:33
  I
• 16:33
  see
• 16:33
  three
• 16:34
  brands
• 16:34
  of
• 16:34
  materials
• 16:35
  on
• 16:35
  the
• 16:35
  roof
• 16:35
  up
• 16:35
  there
• 16:36
  and
• 16:36
  they're
• 16:36
  all
• 16:36
  competitors.
• 16:37
  And
• 16:37
  I'm
• 16:37
  like,
• 16:38
  yeah,
• 16:39
  there's
• 16:39
  going
• 16:39
  to
• 16:39
  be
• 16:39
  a
• 16:39
  warranty
• 16:40
  company.
• 16:41
  Whoever's
• 16:41
  roofs
• 16:42
  on
• 16:42
  that
• 16:42
  is
• 16:42
  not
• 16:42
  going
• 16:43
  to
• 16:43
  be
• 16:43
  happy
• 16:43
  seeing
• 16:44
  brand
• 16:44
  X,
• 16:45
  Y
• 16:45
  and
• 16:45
  Z
• 16:45
  underneath
• 16:46
  it
• 16:46
  when
• 16:46
  warranty
• 16:46
  time
• 16:47
  comes
• 16:47
  around.
• 16:48
  Yeah.
• 16:48
  And
• 16:48
  you
• 16:49
  never
• 16:49
  know
• 16:49
  what
• 16:49
  really
• 16:50
  happened
• 16:50
  to
• 16:50
  you
• 16:50
  until
• 16:51
  you
• 16:51
  really
• 16:52
  need
• 16:52
  the
• 16:52
  warranty
• 16:52
  in
• 16:52
  place
• 16:53
  and
• 16:53
  the
• 16:53
  manufacturer
• 16:54
  comes
• 16:54
  out
• 16:55
  and
• 16:55
  they
• 16:55
  start
• 16:55
  digging
• 16:56
  into
• 16:56
  the
• 16:57
  labels
• 16:57
  and
• 16:57
  the
• 16:57
  idea,
• 16:58
  finger
• 16:58
  pointing,
• 16:58
  oh.
• 16:59
  If
• 16:59
  you
• 16:59
  would
• 16:59
  have
• 16:59
  used
• 17:00
  X,
• 17:00
  this
• 17:00
  would
• 17:01
  have
• 17:01
  been
• 17:01
  fine.
• 17:01
  And
• 17:02
  whether
• 17:02
  or
• 17:03
  not
• 17:03
  that's
• 17:03
  the
• 17:03
  truth.
• 17:04
  Or
• 17:04
  not,
• 17:04
  it
• 17:04
  happens.
• 17:05
  Yeah.
• 17:06
  You
• 17:06
  give
• 17:06
  them
• 17:06
  the
• 17:07
  opportunity
• 17:07
  to
• 17:07
  not
• 17:08
  cover
• 17:08
  a
• 17:08
  warranty.
• 17:09
  The
• 17:09
  partners
• 17:09
  and
• 17:09
  the
• 17:09
  shingle
• 17:10
  partners
• 17:10
  that
• 17:10
  we
• 17:10
  work
• 17:10
  with
• 17:11
  on
• 17:11
  the
• 17:11
  manufacturing
• 17:11
  side,
• 17:12
  I
• 17:12
  will
• 17:12
  say
• 17:13
  we,
• 17:13
  we
• 17:14
  put
• 17:14
  on
• 17:14
  full
• 17:14
  systems,
• 17:15
  even
• 17:15
  on
• 17:16
  our
• 17:16
  custom
• 17:16
  underlayment
• 17:17
  that
• 17:17
  has
• 17:17
  our
• 17:17
  logos
• 17:18
  and
• 17:18
  everything.
• 17:19
  We,
• 17:19
  we
• 17:19
  purchase
• 17:20
  it
• 17:20
  from
• 17:20
  them,
• 17:20
  they
• 17:20
  roll
• 17:21
  it
• 17:21
  off
• 17:21
  special
• 17:21
  for
• 17:21
  us.
• 17:22
  It's
• 17:22
  still
• 17:22
  their
• 17:22
  product.
• 17:23
  Right.
• 17:23
  Just
• 17:24
  looks
• 17:24
  prettier
• 17:24
  with
• 17:24
  our
• 17:24
  logos
• 17:25
  on
• 17:25
  it.
• 17:25
  Right.
• 17:25
  It's
• 17:25
  a
• 17:25
  little
• 17:25
  marketing,
• 17:26
  but
• 17:27
  yeah,
• 17:27
  they,
• 17:28
  I
• 17:28
  can
• 17:28
  tell
• 17:28
  you,
• 17:28
  our
• 17:29
  shingle
• 17:29
  manufacturer
• 17:30
  partners,
• 17:30
  they
• 17:31
  always
• 17:31
  try
• 17:31
  to
• 17:31
  lean
• 17:32
  for
• 17:32
  our
• 17:32
  homeowners
• 17:33
  because
• 17:33
  of
• 17:33
  our
• 17:34
  size
• 17:34
  and
• 17:34
  our
• 17:34
  buying
• 17:35
  power.
• 17:36
  We,
• 17:36
  we
• 17:36
  truly
• 17:37
  do
• 17:37
  look
• 17:37
  at
• 17:37
  them
• 17:37
  as
• 17:38
  partners
• 17:38
  in
• 17:38
  our
• 17:39
  industry
• 17:39
  because
• 17:40
  without
• 17:40
  them,
• 17:41
  we
• 17:41
  couldn't
• 17:41
  put
• 17:41
  as
• 17:41
  many.
• 17:42
  We're
• 17:42
  going
• 17:42
  to
• 17:42
  do
• 17:42
  well
• 17:42
  over
• 17:43
  10,000
• 17:43
  roofs
• 17:43
  this
• 17:44
  year.
• 17:44
  If
• 17:44
  we
• 17:45
  didn't
• 17:45
  have
• 17:45
  the
• 17:45
  allocation,
• 17:46
  we
• 17:46
  didn't
• 17:46
  have
• 17:46
  that
• 17:46
  partnership
• 17:47
  with
• 17:47
  them,
• 17:47
  we
• 17:47
  wouldn't.
• 17:47
  And
• 17:47
  so
• 17:48
  they,
• 17:48
  they
• 17:48
  are
• 17:48
  very
• 17:49
  good
• 17:49
  with
• 17:49
  our
• 17:49
  clients.
• 17:50
  If
• 17:50
  we
• 17:50
  do
• 17:51
  run
• 17:51
  into
• 17:51
  a
• 17:51
  warranty.
• 17:52
  Situation,
• 17:53
  one
• 17:53
  question
• 17:53
  I
• 17:53
  got
• 17:54
  for
• 17:54
  you,
• 17:54
  and
• 17:54
  I
• 17:54
  think
• 17:54
  we
• 17:54
  need
• 17:55
  to
• 17:55
  shock
• 17:55
  some
• 17:55
  people
• 17:55
  out
• 17:56
  there
• 17:56
  because
• 17:56
  a
• 17:56
  lot
• 17:56
  of
• 17:56
  people
• 17:57
  have
• 17:57
  no
• 17:57
  idea
• 17:57
  what
• 17:58
  a
• 17:58
  roof
• 17:58
  costs.
• 17:59
  And
• 17:59
  I
• 17:59
  know
• 17:59
  this
• 17:59
  question
• 18:00
  is
• 18:00
  like,
• 18:00
  what
• 18:00
  does
• 18:00
  a
• 18:00
  car
• 18:01
  cost?
• 18:02
  It's
• 18:02
  like,
• 18:02
  is
• 18:02
  this
• 18:02
  a
• 18:03
  Lambo
• 18:03
  or
• 18:03
  is
• 18:03
  this
• 18:04
  a
• 18:04
  Kia?
• 18:04
  Which
• 18:04
  one
• 18:05
  is
• 18:05
  it?
• 18:05
  But
• 18:06
  what's
• 18:06
  the
• 18:06
  average
• 18:06
  roof
• 18:07
  cost
• 18:07
  out
• 18:07
  there?
• 18:08
  Average
• 18:08
  roof
• 18:08
  cost
• 18:09
  in
• 18:09
  the
• 18:10
  Southeast
• 18:10
  right
• 18:10
  now
• 18:11
  is
• 18:11
  right
• 18:11
  about
• 18:11
  $26,000.
• 18:13
  Our
• 18:13
  average
• 18:14
  roof
• 18:14
  in
• 18:14
  Texas
• 18:15
  Right.
• 18:15
  In
• 18:15
  our
• 18:15
  is
• 18:16
  about
• 18:16
  $23,000.
• 18:18
  Our
• 18:18
  Midwest
• 18:19
  brands
• 18:19
  is
• 18:19
  closer
• 18:19
  to
• 18:20
  about
• 18:20
  27,
• 18:21
  $28,000.
• 18:22
  So
• 18:22
  that
• 18:22
  kind
• 18:23
  of
• 18:23
  gives
• 18:23
  you
• 18:23
  the
• 18:23
  range
• 18:23
  and
• 18:24
  the
• 18:24
  reason
• 18:24
  why
• 18:24
  those
• 18:25
  changes.
• 18:26
  Shorter
• 18:26
  work
• 18:26
  seasons.
• 18:27
  Our
• 18:27
  labor
• 18:27
  is
• 18:27
  going
• 18:27
  to
• 18:28
  have
• 18:28
  to
• 18:28
  get
• 18:28
  paid
• 18:28
  a
• 18:28
  little
• 18:28
  bit
• 18:29
  more.
• 18:29
  Shorter,
• 18:30
  colder
• 18:31
  conditions.
• 18:31
  We
• 18:31
  have
• 18:31
  to
• 18:32
  do
• 18:32
  a
• 18:32
  little
• 18:32
  bit
• 18:32
  more
• 18:32
  to
• 18:33
  prep
• 18:33
  that
• 18:33
  roof
• 18:33
  and
• 18:34
  to
• 18:34
  and
• 18:34
  for
• 18:34
  the
• 18:34
  underlayment
• 18:35
  and
• 18:35
  some
• 18:35
  of
• 18:35
  the
• 18:35
  flashing.
• 18:36
  So
• 18:36
  there's
• 18:36
  some
• 18:36
  additional
• 18:37
  costs
• 18:37
  that
• 18:37
  involved
• 18:38
  with
• 18:38
  that.
• 18:38
  So
• 18:39
  they
• 18:39
  range.
• 18:39
  That's
• 18:39
  much
• 18:40
  a
• 18:40
  range
• 18:40
  of
• 18:40
  what
• 18:40
  you're
• 18:40
  going
• 18:41
  to
• 18:41
  look
• 18:41
  at.
• 18:41
  And
• 18:41
  we're
• 18:41
  talking
• 18:42
  about
• 18:42
  a
• 18:43
  architectural.
• 18:44
  We
• 18:44
  put
• 18:44
  very
• 18:44
  few
• 18:45
  three
• 18:45
  tab
• 18:45
  roofs
• 18:45
  on.
• 18:46
  The
• 18:46
  price
• 18:46
  is
• 18:46
  pretty
• 18:47
  insignificant.
• 18:47
  But
• 18:48
  in
• 18:48
  architectural
• 18:49
  asphalt
• 18:49
  shingled
• 18:50
  roof.
• 18:50
  Well,
• 18:51
  and
• 18:51
  you
• 18:51
  want
• 18:51
  that
• 18:51
  architectural
• 18:52
  anyway
• 18:52
  because
• 18:52
  it's
• 18:53
  such
• 18:53
  a
• 18:53
  thicker
• 18:53
  product.
• 18:54
  Right.
• 18:54
  So
• 18:54
  it's
• 18:54
  going
• 18:55
  to
• 18:55
  last
• 18:55
  through
• 18:55
  the
• 18:55
  next
• 18:56
  windstorm.
• 18:56
  You've
• 18:56
  already
• 18:57
  had
• 18:57
  one.
• 18:57
  Right.
• 18:58
  And
• 18:58
  you've
• 18:58
  got
• 18:59
  another
• 18:59
  one
• 18:59
  coming
• 18:59
  up.
• 19:00
  You
• 19:00
  might
• 19:00
  as
• 19:00
  well
• 19:00
  have
• 19:00
  something
• 19:01
  that's
• 19:01
  going
• 19:01
  to
• 19:01
  do
• 19:01
  a
• 19:01
  better
• 19:02
  job
• 19:02
  of
• 19:02
  lasting
• 19:03
  versus
• 19:03
  saving
• 19:04
  a
• 19:04
  handful
• 19:04
  of
• 19:05
  thousands
• 19:05
  of
• 19:05
  dollars
• 19:05
  and
• 19:05
  have
• 19:06
  to
• 19:06
  go
• 19:06
  do
• 19:06
  it
• 19:06
  again
• 19:06
  real
• 19:06
  soon.
• 19:07
  Yeah.
• 19:07
  On
• 19:07
  the
• 19:08
  average
• 19:08
  3
• 19:08
  tab,
• 19:09
  I
• 19:09
  think
• 19:09
  actual
• 19:10
  cost
• 19:10
  now
• 19:10
  you
• 19:11
  don't
• 19:11
  have
• 19:11
  the
• 19:11
  difference
• 19:11
  in
• 19:11
  the
• 19:12
  components.
• 19:12
  You
• 19:12
  can
• 19:12
  use
• 19:13
  the
• 19:13
  3
• 19:13
  tab
• 19:13
  for
• 19:13
  the
• 19:14
  starter
• 19:14
  and
• 19:14
  the
• 19:14
  ridge
• 19:14
  and
• 19:14
  whatnot
• 19:15
  if
• 19:15
  you
• 19:15
  want
• 19:15
  to.
• 19:16
  Your
• 19:16
  average
• 19:17
  square
• 19:17
  shingles
• 19:18
  is.
• 19:18
  It's
• 19:19
  so
• 19:19
  insignificant.
• 19:20
  It's
• 19:20
  less
• 19:20
  than
• 19:20
  10%
• 19:21
  on
• 19:21
  the
• 19:21
  material
• 19:22
  range.
• 19:22
  To
• 19:23
  switch
• 19:23
  to
• 19:24
  architectural.
• 19:24
  We
• 19:24
  just,
• 19:25
  we
• 19:25
  don't.
• 19:25
  We
• 19:25
  won't
• 19:26
  even
• 19:26
  put
• 19:26
  a
• 19:26
  three
• 19:26
  tab
• 19:26
  on
• 19:27
  for
• 19:27
  our
• 19:27
  warranty.
• 19:28
  We
• 19:28
  just
• 19:28
  won't
• 19:28
  do
• 19:28
  it.
• 19:29
  Yeah.
• 19:29
  It
• 19:29
  doesn't
• 19:30
  make
• 19:30
  sense.
• 19:30
  And
• 19:30
  I
• 19:31
  get
• 19:31
  that
• 19:31
  it's
• 19:31
  out
• 19:31
  there
• 19:32
  for
• 19:32
  that
• 19:32
  budget
• 19:32
  person.
• 19:33
  And
• 19:33
  if
• 19:33
  you're
• 19:34
  gonna
• 19:34
  throw
• 19:34
  it
• 19:34
  on.
• 19:34
  Your
• 19:34
  shed
• 19:35
  or
• 19:35
  your
• 19:35
  freestanding
• 19:36
  garage,
• 19:37
  knock
• 19:37
  it
• 19:37
  out.
• 19:37
  But
• 19:38
  it's
• 19:38
  just
• 19:38
  not
• 19:38
  worth
• 19:38
  it
• 19:38
  in
• 19:38
  my
• 19:39
  mind.
• 19:39
  Yeah.
• 19:40
  Most
• 19:40
  of
• 19:40
  the
• 19:40
  three
• 19:40
  tabs
• 19:41
  you
• 19:41
  see
• 19:41
  that
• 19:41
  are
• 19:41
  getting
• 19:41
  put
• 19:42
  on
• 19:42
  these
• 19:42
  days
• 19:42
  are
• 19:43
  builder
• 19:43
  grade.
• 19:44
  They're
• 19:44
  building
• 19:45
  200
• 19:45
  houses
• 19:45
  in
• 19:45
  a
• 19:46
  neighborhood
• 19:46
  and
• 19:47
  there's
• 19:47
  the
• 19:47
  builder
• 19:48
  saving
• 19:48
  in
• 19:49
  mass.
• 19:49
  And
• 19:49
  he
• 19:49
  doesn't
• 19:50
  really
• 19:50
  care
• 19:50
  what
• 19:50
  happens
• 19:50
  after
• 19:51
  his
• 19:51
  one
• 19:51
  year
• 19:51
  builder's
• 19:52
  warranty
• 19:52
  or
• 19:52
  two
• 19:52
  years
• 19:53
  warranty.
• 19:54
  That's
• 19:54
  where
• 19:54
  we
• 19:54
  see
• 19:54
  the
• 19:55
  three
• 19:55
  tabs
• 19:55
  still
• 19:55
  going
• 19:55
  on.
• 19:56
  And
• 19:56
  that's
• 19:56
  where
• 19:57
  three
• 19:57
  years
• 19:58
  in,
• 19:58
  when
• 19:58
  the
• 19:58
  windstorm
• 19:59
  comes
• 19:59
  up,
• 19:59
  you
• 19:59
  guys
• 19:59
  can
• 19:59
  just
• 20:00
  start
• 20:00
  walking
• 20:00
  down
• 20:00
  the
• 20:01
  street
• 20:01
  because
• 20:01
  every
• 20:01
  one
• 20:01
  of
• 20:01
  those
• 20:02
  houses
• 20:02
  is
• 20:02
  going
• 20:02
  to
• 20:02
  need
• 20:03
  some
• 20:03
  work
• 20:03
  on
• 20:03
  it.
• 20:04
  Yeah.
• 20:04
  They'll
• 20:04
  find
• 20:04
  them
• 20:04
  in
• 20:05
  their
• 20:05
  yard
• 20:05
  and
• 20:05
  give
• 20:05
  us
• 20:05
  a
• 20:06
  call.
• 20:06
  So.
• 20:07
  It's
• 20:07
  so
• 20:08
  true.
• 20:08
  So
• 20:09
  you
• 20:09
  guys
• 20:09
  planning
• 20:09
  on
• 20:10
  expanding
• 20:10
  across
• 20:10
  the
• 20:10
  country?
• 20:11
  I
• 20:11
  know
• 20:11
  you
• 20:11
  guys
• 20:11
  have
• 20:11
  only
• 20:12
  been.
• 20:12
  Around
• 20:12
  for
• 20:12
  a
• 20:13
  few
• 20:13
  years
• 20:14
  with
• 20:14
  your
• 20:14
  new
• 20:14
  system
• 20:15
  if
• 20:15
  I
• 20:15
  remember
• 20:15
  correctly.
• 20:16
  Yeah.
• 20:16
  So
• 20:17
  we're
• 20:17
  Relatively
• 20:17
  new
• 20:18
  as
• 20:18
  far
• 20:18
  as
• 20:18
  the
• 20:19
  platform
• 20:19
  level
• 20:19
  goes.
• 20:20
  The
• 20:20
  private
• 20:20
  equity
• 20:20
  platform
• 20:21
  goes.
• 20:21
  And
• 20:22
  so
• 20:22
  Sawmill
• 20:22
  Capital
• 20:23
  is
• 20:23
  the,
• 20:24
  is
• 20:24
  the
• 20:24
  private
• 20:25
  equity
• 20:25
  company
• 20:25
  and
• 20:25
  Rafterx
• 20:26
  is
• 20:26
  our
• 20:27
  contractor
• 20:27
  brand.
• 20:28
  We
• 20:28
  are
• 20:28
  expanding.
• 20:29
  We
• 20:30
  have
• 20:30
  acquisitions
• 20:30
  in
• 20:31
  play
• 20:31
  and
• 20:31
  Lois
• 20:31
  out
• 20:32
  right
• 20:32
  now
• 20:32
  to
• 20:32
  expand
• 20:33
  even
• 20:33
  more
• 20:34
  prior
• 20:34
  to
• 20:34
  2025.
• 20:36
  And
• 20:36
  we
• 20:37
  are
• 20:37
  definitely
• 20:37
  looking
• 20:37
  at
• 20:37
  more
• 20:38
  acquisitional
• 20:38
  growth
• 20:39
  along
• 20:39
  with
• 20:39
  5
• 20:40
  major
• 20:40
  organic
• 20:41
  growth
• 20:41
  initiatives
• 20:42
  and
• 20:42
  plans
• 20:42
  that
• 20:42
  we're
• 20:42
  putting
• 20:43
  in
• 20:43
  place
• 20:43
  for
• 20:43
  2025.
• 20:44
  We
• 20:44
  should
• 20:44
  see
• 20:44
  some
• 20:44
  great
• 20:45
  numbers
• 20:45
  and
• 20:46
  we're
• 20:46
  seeing
• 20:46
  some
• 20:47
  really
• 20:47
  good
• 20:48
  feedback
• 20:48
  from
• 20:48
  the
• 20:49
  contractors
• 20:49
  that
• 20:49
  we're
• 20:49
  working
• 20:50
  with
• 20:50
  and
• 20:50
  folks
• 20:50
  that
• 20:51
  we're
• 20:51
  looking
• 20:51
  into,
• 20:51
  acquire
• 20:52
  and
• 20:52
  to
• 20:52
  bring
• 20:52
  into
• 20:52
  the
• 20:53
  platform.
• 20:53
  It's
• 20:54
  exciting
• 20:54
  times
• 20:54
  in
• 20:54
  the
• 20:55
  industry.
• 20:55
  Don't
• 20:56
  change
• 20:56
  that
• 20:56
  dial
• 20:56
  around
• 20:57
  the
• 20:57
  house.
• 20:57
  We'll
• 20:57
  be
• 20:57
  right
• 20:57
  back
• 20:57
  with
• 20:58
  more
• 20:58
  from
• 20:58
  Matt
• 20:58
  Spanton
• 20:59
  and
• 20:59
  Raptor
• 21:00
  X
• 21:00
  just
• 21:00
  as
• 21:01
  soon
• 21:01
  as
• 21:01
  we
• 21:01
  return.
• 21:36
  Welcome
• 21:37
  back
• 21:37
  to
• 21:37
  the
• 21:37
  around
• 21:37
  the
• 21:37
  House
• 21:38
  show,
• 21:38
  the
• 21:38
  next
• 21:38
  generation
• 21:39
  of
• 21:39
  home
• 21:39
  improvement.
• 21:40
  Now
• 21:41
  we're
• 21:41
  going
• 21:41
  to
• 21:41
  wrap
• 21:41
  up
• 21:41
  our
• 21:41
  conversation
• 21:42
  here
• 21:42
  with
• 21:42
  Matt
• 21:43
  Spanton
• 21:43
  and
• 21:43
  Rafter
• 21:44
  X
• 21:44
  and
• 21:45
  then
• 21:45
  I'm
• 21:45
  going
• 21:45
  to
• 21:45
  give
• 21:45
  you
• 21:45
  my
• 21:46
  tips
• 21:46
  and
• 21:46
  tricks
• 21:47
  for
• 21:47
  tackling
• 21:48
  that
• 21:48
  roofing
• 21:48
  project,
• 21:49
  whether
• 21:49
  you're
• 21:49
  going
• 21:49
  to
• 21:49
  be
• 21:50
  the
• 21:50
  one
• 21:50
  doing
• 21:50
  it
• 21:51
  or
• 21:51
  if
• 21:51
  you're
• 21:51
  hiring
• 21:52
  somebody.
• 21:52
  I've
• 21:53
  got
• 21:53
  some
• 21:53
  great
• 21:53
  things
• 21:54
  that
• 21:54
  you
• 21:54
  should
• 21:54
  be
• 21:54
  looking
• 21:54
  at
• 21:55
  in
• 21:55
  case
• 21:55
  you're
• 21:56
  trying
• 21:56
  to
• 21:56
  hire
• 21:56
  that
• 21:56
  roofer.
• 21:57
  So
• 21:58
  we'll
• 21:58
  do
• 21:58
  that
• 21:58
  just
• 21:58
  after
• 21:59
  this
• 21:59
  conversation.
• 22:00
  Now
• 22:00
  let's
• 22:00
  wrap
• 22:00
  it
• 22:00
  up
• 22:01
  with
• 22:01
  Matt.
• 22:02
  We
• 22:02
  are
• 22:02
  expanding.
• 22:03
  We
• 22:03
  have
• 22:04
  acquisitions
• 22:04
  in
• 22:04
  play
• 22:05
  and
• 22:05
  Lois
• 22:05
  out
• 22:06
  right
• 22:06
  now
• 22:06
  to
• 22:06
  expand
• 22:07
  even
• 22:07
  more
• 22:07
  prior
• 22:08
  to
• 22:08
  2025.
• 22:09
  And
• 22:10
  we're,
• 22:10
  we
• 22:10
  are
• 22:11
  definitely
• 22:11
  looking
• 22:11
  at
• 22:11
  more
• 22:11
  acquisitional
• 22:12
  growth
• 22:12
  along
• 22:13
  with
• 22:13
  5
• 22:13
  major
• 22:14
  organic
• 22:15
  growth
• 22:15
  initiatives
• 22:15
  and
• 22:16
  plans
• 22:16
  that
• 22:16
  we're
• 22:16
  putting
• 22:16
  in
• 22:16
  place
• 22:17
  for
• 22:17
  2025.
• 22:18
  We
• 22:18
  should
• 22:18
  see
• 22:18
  some
• 22:18
  great
• 22:19
  numbers
• 22:19
  and,
• 22:19
  and
• 22:20
  we're
• 22:20
  seeing
• 22:20
  some
• 22:21
  really
• 22:21
  good
• 22:22
  feedback
• 22:22
  from
• 22:22
  the
• 22:22
  contractors
• 22:23
  that
• 22:23
  we're
• 22:23
  working
• 22:23
  with
• 22:24
  and
• 22:24
  folks
• 22:24
  that
• 22:24
  we're
• 22:25
  looking
• 22:25
  into,
• 22:25
  acquire
• 22:26
  and
• 22:26
  to
• 22:26
  bring
• 22:26
  into
• 22:26
  the
• 22:26
  platform.
• 22:27
  It's
• 22:27
  exciting
• 22:28
  times
• 22:28
  in
• 22:28
  the
• 22:28
  industry.
• 22:29
  No
• 22:29
  kidding.
• 22:30
  No
• 22:30
  kidding.
• 22:30
  And
• 22:30
  like
• 22:31
  I
• 22:31
  said
• 22:31
  earlier,
• 22:31
  you
• 22:31
  guys
• 22:31
  are
• 22:32
  really
• 22:32
  filling
• 22:32
  that
• 22:32
  hole
• 22:32
  out
• 22:33
  there
• 22:33
  because
• 22:33
  there
• 22:33
  are
• 22:34
  so
• 22:34
  many
• 22:34
  companies
• 22:34
  out
• 22:34
  there
• 22:35
  that
• 22:35
  all
• 22:35
  they
• 22:36
  do
• 22:36
  is
• 22:36
  brand
• 22:37
  new
• 22:37
  roofs
• 22:37
  and
• 22:38
  when
• 22:38
  that
• 22:38
  storm
• 22:39
  comes
• 22:39
  through
• 22:39
  and
• 22:39
  gets
• 22:40
  damaged,
• 22:40
  they're
• 22:40
  the
• 22:40
  ones
• 22:40
  that
• 22:41
  are
• 22:41
  in
• 22:41
  there
• 22:41
  trying
• 22:41
  to
• 22:42
  maybe
• 22:43
  deal
• 22:43
  with
• 22:43
  the
• 22:43
  insurance
• 22:44
  company
• 22:44
  for
• 22:44
  the
• 22:44
  first
• 22:45
  time
• 22:45
  or
• 22:46
  they've
• 22:46
  got
• 22:46
  a
• 22:46
  repair
• 22:46
  and
• 22:47
  they're
• 22:47
  trying
• 22:47
  to
• 22:47
  sell
• 22:47
  that
• 22:48
  homeowner
• 22:48
  on.
• 22:48
  Well,
• 22:49
  you
• 22:49
  just
• 22:49
  should
• 22:49
  do
• 22:49
  a
• 22:49
  new
• 22:49
  roof
• 22:50
  because
• 22:50
  we
• 22:50
  don't
• 22:50
  really
• 22:51
  do
• 22:51
  repairs
• 22:52
  in
• 22:52
  that
• 22:52
  homeowner
• 22:53
  now
• 22:53
  has
• 22:53
  a
• 22:53
  decision
• 22:54
  of,
• 22:54
  okay,
• 22:54
  do
• 22:55
  I
• 22:55
  just
• 22:55
  pay
• 22:55
  for
• 22:56
  a
• 22:56
  new
• 22:56
  roof?
• 22:56
  Because
• 22:57
  no
• 22:57
  one
• 22:57
  else
• 22:57
  has
• 22:58
  returned
• 22:58
  my
• 22:58
  phone
• 22:58
  calls.
• 22:59
  Because
• 22:59
  everybody
• 23:00
  on
• 23:00
  the
• 23:00
  street
• 23:00
  has
• 23:00
  damage
• 23:01
  or
• 23:01
  to
• 23:02
  actually
• 23:02
  deal
• 23:02
  with
• 23:02
  a
• 23:02
  company
• 23:03
  that
• 23:03
  can
• 23:03
  actually
• 23:03
  come
• 23:04
  repair
• 23:04
  this,
• 23:04
  that
• 23:05
  can
• 23:05
  do
• 23:05
  it
• 23:05
  and
• 23:05
  save
• 23:06
  some
• 23:06
  money
• 23:06
  now
• 23:06
  and
• 23:07
  save
• 23:07
  that
• 23:07
  for
• 23:07
  when
• 23:07
  I
• 23:08
  really
• 23:08
  need
• 23:08
  a
• 23:08
  new
• 23:08
  roof.
• 23:09
  Yeah,
• 23:09
  we
• 23:10
  briefly
• 23:10
  touched
• 23:10
  on
• 23:10
  this
• 23:11
  earlier.
• 23:11
  Is
• 23:11
  having
• 23:12
  repair
• 23:12
  and
• 23:12
  warranty
• 23:13
  divisions
• 23:13
  within
• 23:14
  each
• 23:14
  one
• 23:14
  of
• 23:14
  our
• 23:14
  brands
• 23:15
  throughout
• 23:15
  the
• 23:15
  country
• 23:16
  is
• 23:16
  crucial
• 23:16
  for
• 23:16
  us
• 23:17
  as
• 23:18
  we
• 23:18
  build
• 23:18
  a
• 23:19
  consistent
• 23:19
  warranty
• 23:20
  for
• 23:20
  every
• 23:20
  rafter
• 23:20
  X
• 23:21
  customer
• 23:21
  that's
• 23:22
  out
• 23:22
  there.
• 23:23
  We
• 23:23
  have
• 23:23
  to
• 23:23
  be
• 23:23
  able
• 23:23
  to
• 23:23
  control
• 23:24
  what
• 23:24
  that
• 23:24
  warranty
• 23:25
  looks
• 23:25
  like
• 23:25
  and
• 23:25
  how
• 23:25
  it's
• 23:26
  responded
• 23:26
  to.
• 23:26
  And
• 23:26
  so
• 23:27
  we've
• 23:27
  been
• 23:27
  implementing
• 23:28
  these
• 23:28
  divisions
• 23:29
  that
• 23:29
  we
• 23:29
  haven't
• 23:30
  had
• 23:30
  in
• 23:30
  the
• 23:30
  past.
• 23:30
  Part
• 23:31
  of
• 23:31
  that
• 23:31
  is
• 23:32
  our
• 23:32
  actual
• 23:32
  warranty
• 23:33
  for
• 23:33
  our
• 23:33
  current
• 23:33
  reroof
• 23:34
  clients
• 23:34
  and
• 23:34
  clients.
• 23:35
  And
• 23:35
  part
• 23:35
  of
• 23:35
  that
• 23:35
  is
• 23:36
  if
• 23:36
  somebody
• 23:37
  calls
• 23:37
  in
• 23:37
  with
• 23:38
  a
• 23:38
  repair
• 23:38
  or
• 23:38
  what
• 23:39
  they
• 23:39
  think
• 23:39
  is
• 23:39
  a
• 23:39
  repair,
• 23:40
  we
• 23:40
  go
• 23:40
  out
• 23:40
  there
• 23:41
  first
• 23:41
  and
• 23:41
  assess
• 23:41
  it
• 23:42
  and
• 23:42
  see
• 23:42
  can
• 23:43
  we
• 23:43
  repair
• 23:43
  it
• 23:43
  first.
• 23:44
  We're
• 23:44
  not
• 23:45
  necessarily
• 23:45
  going
• 23:45
  to
• 23:46
  go
• 23:46
  out.
• 23:46
  There
• 23:46
  and
• 23:46
  try
• 23:46
  to
• 23:47
  push
• 23:47
  a
• 23:47
  reroof.
• 23:48
  If
• 23:48
  we
• 23:48
  can
• 23:48
  do
• 23:48
  a
• 23:48
  repair
• 23:49
  and
• 23:49
  save
• 23:50
  these
• 23:50
  folks
• 23:50
  some
• 23:50
  bucks
• 23:51
  and
• 23:51
  get
• 23:51
  them
• 23:51
  long,
• 23:51
  a
• 23:52
  little
• 23:52
  bit
• 23:52
  longer
• 23:52
  now,
• 23:53
  if
• 23:53
  it's
• 23:54
  going
• 23:54
  to
• 23:54
  eventually
• 23:55
  just
• 23:55
  cost
• 23:55
  them
• 23:56
  exponentially
• 23:56
  to
• 23:56
  keep
• 23:57
  band
• 23:57
  aiding,
• 23:57
  it
• 23:58
  will
• 23:58
  of
• 23:58
  course
• 23:59
  give
• 23:59
  them
• 23:59
  the
• 24:00
  option
• 24:00
  to
• 24:00
  reroof
• 24:01
  and
• 24:02
  some
• 24:02
  financing
• 24:02
  options
• 24:03
  with
• 24:03
  some
• 24:03
  partners
• 24:03
  that
• 24:04
  we
• 24:04
  have
• 24:04
  in
• 24:04
  play.
• 24:05
  But
• 24:05
  that
• 24:06
  also
• 24:06
  lets
• 24:06
  our
• 24:06
  clients
• 24:07
  know,
• 24:07
  hey,
• 24:07
  listen,
• 24:08
  our
• 24:08
  only
• 24:08
  source
• 24:09
  of
• 24:09
  revenue
• 24:09
  is
• 24:10
  not
• 24:10
  reroofing.
• 24:11
  We
• 24:11
  don't
• 24:11
  have
• 24:11
  to
• 24:12
  push
• 24:12
  you
• 24:12
  into
• 24:12
  reroof
• 24:13
  if
• 24:13
  we
• 24:13
  don't
• 24:13
  want
• 24:13
  to.
• 24:14
  We're
• 24:14
  not
• 24:14
  a
• 24:14
  one
• 24:14
  trip
• 24:14
  pony.
• 24:15
  We
• 24:15
  can
• 24:15
  go
• 24:15
  up
• 24:15
  there
• 24:15
  and
• 24:16
  we
• 24:16
  can
• 24:16
  do
• 24:16
  these
• 24:16
  repairs
• 24:17
  for
• 24:17
  you
• 24:17
  and
• 24:17
  we
• 24:17
  can
• 24:17
  get
• 24:17
  you
• 24:18
  under
• 24:18
  warranty,
• 24:19
  keep
• 24:19
  an
• 24:19
  eye
• 24:19
  on
• 24:19
  this
• 24:19
  thing
• 24:20
  for
• 24:20
  the
• 24:20
  next
• 24:20
  year,
• 24:20
  2,
• 24:21
  3,
• 24:21
  5,
• 24:21
  whatever
• 24:22
  we
• 24:22
  think
• 24:22
  we
• 24:22
  can
• 24:22
  get.
• 24:23
  Then
• 24:23
  when
• 24:23
  you
• 24:23
  need
• 24:23
  a
• 24:23
  new
• 24:24
  roof,
• 24:24
  we
• 24:24
  can
• 24:24
  provide
• 24:24
  you
• 24:25
  some
• 24:25
  budget
• 24:25
  options
• 24:25
  to
• 24:26
  go
• 24:26
  ahead
• 24:26
  and
• 24:26
  do
• 24:26
  that
• 24:26
  for
• 24:27
  you.
• 24:27
  And
• 24:27
  that
• 24:28
  is
• 24:28
  smart.
• 24:28
  So,
• 24:29
  Matt,
• 24:29
  is
• 24:29
  there
• 24:29
  anything
• 24:29
  else
• 24:30
  we.
• 24:30
  Missed
• 24:30
  today
• 24:31
  that
• 24:31
  we
• 24:31
  haven't
• 24:32
  covered?
• 24:32
  Because
• 24:32
  really
• 24:33
  like
• 24:33
  what
• 24:33
  you
• 24:33
  guys
• 24:33
  are
• 24:33
  doing
• 24:34
  out
• 24:34
  there,
• 24:34
  assisting
• 24:35
  homeowners
• 24:35
  through
• 24:35
  this
• 24:36
  whole
• 24:37
  damage
• 24:37
  process
• 24:38
  to
• 24:38
  get
• 24:38
  them,
• 24:38
  you
• 24:38
  know,
• 24:39
  get
• 24:39
  back
• 24:39
  to
• 24:39
  new
• 24:40
  and
• 24:40
  have
• 24:40
  something
• 24:40
  that's
• 24:41
  going
• 24:41
  to
• 24:41
  protect
• 24:41
  their
• 24:41
  home
• 24:42
  because
• 24:42
  it
• 24:43
  is
• 24:43
  the
• 24:43
  roof
• 24:43
  over
• 24:43
  their
• 24:43
  heads.
• 24:44
  Yeah,
• 24:45
  yeah.
• 24:45
  Like,
• 24:46
  like
• 24:46
  we
• 24:46
  said,
• 24:47
  a
• 24:47
  roof
• 24:47
  is
• 24:47
  40%
• 24:48
  of
• 24:48
  the
• 24:48
  envelope
• 24:48
  of
• 24:49
  your
• 24:49
  home.
• 24:49
  So
• 24:50
  it's
• 24:50
  not
• 24:50
  only
• 24:50
  an
• 24:51
  aesthetic
• 24:51
  item
• 24:52
  on
• 24:52
  the
• 24:52
  outside
• 24:52
  of
• 24:52
  our
• 24:53
  house,
• 24:53
  but
• 24:53
  it
• 24:53
  really
• 24:54
  protects
• 24:54
  about
• 24:55
  100%
• 24:55
  of
• 24:56
  our
• 24:56
  home.
• 24:56
  Right.
• 24:57
  The
• 24:57
  roof
• 24:57
  fails
• 24:58
  everything
• 24:58
  underneath,
• 24:58
  it
• 24:59
  is
• 24:59
  liable
• 24:59
  to
• 24:59
  get
• 24:59
  wet.
• 25:00
  So
• 25:00
  just
• 25:00
  have
• 25:01
  them
• 25:01
  checked.
• 25:01
  We
• 25:01
  always
• 25:02
  let
• 25:02
  our
• 25:02
  folks
• 25:02
  know
• 25:02
  if
• 25:02
  your
• 25:03
  roof
• 25:03
  is
• 25:03
  over
• 25:03
  seven
• 25:03
  to
• 25:04
  eight
• 25:04
  years,
• 25:05
  start
• 25:05
  to
• 25:05
  have
• 25:05
  those
• 25:05
  roofs
• 25:06
  checked
• 25:06
  at
• 25:06
  least
• 25:06
  once
• 25:07
  a
• 25:07
  Year,
• 25:07
  if
• 25:07
  not
• 25:07
  biannual.
• 25:08
  A
• 25:08
  good
• 25:09
  roofer
• 25:09
  will
• 25:09
  come
• 25:09
  out
• 25:09
  there
• 25:10
  and
• 25:10
  take
• 25:10
  a
• 25:10
  peek
• 25:10
  at
• 25:10
  it
• 25:10
  for
• 25:11
  no
• 25:11
  cost.
• 25:12
  They'll
• 25:12
  be
• 25:12
  able
• 25:12
  to
• 25:13
  find
• 25:13
  the
• 25:14
  things
• 25:14
  that
• 25:15
  might
• 25:15
  be
• 25:15
  just
• 25:15
  slightly
• 25:16
  off
• 25:16
  that
• 25:16
  we
• 25:16
  can
• 25:17
  fix
• 25:17
  now
• 25:17
  that'll
• 25:17
  get
• 25:18
  you
• 25:18
  another
• 25:18
  10
• 25:18
  years
• 25:19
  and
• 25:19
  not
• 25:19
  have
• 25:20
  a
• 25:20
  leak
• 25:20
  that
• 25:20
  comes
• 25:20
  in
• 25:21
  and
• 25:21
  causes
• 25:21
  us
• 25:21
  a
• 25:21
  moisture
• 25:22
  problem
• 25:22
  inside
• 25:23
  the
• 25:23
  house.
• 25:23
  So
• 25:23
  it's
• 25:23
  really
• 25:24
  crucial
• 25:24
  to
• 25:24
  get
• 25:24
  a
• 25:24
  look
• 25:24
  at
• 25:25
  that
• 25:25
  and
• 25:25
  start
• 25:25
  forming
• 25:26
  a
• 25:26
  relationship
• 25:26
  with
• 25:26
  a
• 25:26
  good
• 25:26
  roofing
• 25:27
  contractor
• 25:27
  sooner
• 25:28
  than
• 25:28
  later.
• 25:28
  That
• 25:29
  is
• 25:29
  awesome.
• 25:29
  So
• 25:29
  where
• 25:29
  do
• 25:30
  people
• 25:30
  find
• 25:30
  you
• 25:30
  guys
• 25:31
  if
• 25:31
  they
• 25:31
  get
• 25:31
  themselves
• 25:31
  in
• 25:32
  a
• 25:32
  bind?
• 25:32
  They
• 25:32
  got
• 25:32
  some
• 25:32
  damage
• 25:33
  they
• 25:33
  need
• 25:33
  some
• 25:33
  repair
• 25:33
  or
• 25:34
  a
• 25:34
  new
• 25:34
  roof?
• 25:35
  Yeah.
• 25:35
  So
• 25:35
  if
• 25:35
  you
• 25:35
  go
• 25:36
  to
• 25:36
  our
• 25:36
  website,
• 25:36
  www.raftrx.
• 25:38
  it's
• 25:38
  raftrx.com.
• 25:41
  all
• 25:41
  of
• 25:41
  our
• 25:42
  brands
• 25:42
  and
• 25:42
  our
• 25:42
  locations
• 25:43
  are
• 25:43
  listed
• 25:44
  there
• 25:44
  throughout
• 25:45
  the
• 25:45
  country
• 25:45
  and
• 25:46
  you
• 25:46
  can
• 25:46
  find
• 25:46
  the
• 25:46
  brand
• 25:47
  that's
• 25:47
  that's
• 25:47
  closest
• 25:48
  to
• 25:48
  you.
• 25:48
  If
• 25:49
  we're
• 25:49
  not
• 25:49
  there
• 25:49
  now,
• 25:49
  we'll
• 25:50
  be
• 25:50
  there
• 25:50
  soon.
• 25:51
  And
• 25:51
  so
• 25:51
  we're
• 25:52
  looking
• 25:52
  forward
• 25:52
  to
• 25:52
  helping
• 25:53
  many
• 25:53
  more
• 25:53
  clients
• 25:53
  next
• 25:54
  year.
• 25:54
  Right
• 25:55
  on.
• 25:55
  Matt's
• 25:55
  Patton,
• 25:55
  thanks
• 25:56
  for
• 25:56
  taking
• 25:56
  the
• 25:56
  time
• 25:56
  today,
• 25:56
  man.
• 25:57
  I
• 25:57
  love
• 25:57
  what
• 25:57
  you
• 25:57
  guys
• 25:57
  are
• 25:58
  doing.
• 25:58
  Keep
• 25:58
  it
• 25:58
  up
• 25:58
  out
• 25:59
  there.
• 25:59
  There's
• 25:59
  such
• 25:59
  a
• 26:00
  great
• 26:00
  need
• 26:00
  for
• 26:00
  this
• 26:01
  and
• 26:02
  the
• 26:02
  storms
• 26:02
  aren't
• 26:02
  getting
• 26:02
  any
• 26:03
  easier
• 26:03
  out
• 26:03
  there.
• 26:04
  So
• 26:04
  I
• 26:04
  think
• 26:04
  you
• 26:04
  guys
• 26:04
  are
• 26:04
  gonna
• 26:05
  have
• 26:05
  plenty
• 26:05
  of
• 26:05
  work
• 26:05
  in
• 26:05
  the
• 26:06
  future.
• 26:06
  Yeah,
• 26:07
  yeah.
• 26:07
  No,
• 26:07
  I
• 26:07
  appreciate
• 26:07
  it,
• 26:08
  Eric.
• 26:08
  Thanks
• 26:08
  for
• 26:08
  having
• 26:08
  me
• 26:08
  on.
• 26:09
  I
• 26:09
  appreciate
• 26:09
  what
• 26:09
  you're
• 26:09
  doing.
• 26:10
  Thanks,
• 26:10
  Matt.
• 26:11
  I
• 26:11
  think
• 26:11
  there's
• 26:11
  a
• 26:12
  really
• 26:12
  great
• 26:12
  thing
• 26:13
  here
• 26:13
  going
• 26:13
  on
• 26:13
  with
• 26:13
  companies
• 26:14
  like
• 26:15
  Rafterx
• 26:16
  and
• 26:16
  by
• 26:16
  no
• 26:16
  means
• 26:17
  are
• 26:17
  they
• 26:17
  a
• 26:17
  sponsor
• 26:17
  of
• 26:18
  the
• 26:18
  show
• 26:18
  here,
• 26:18
  but
• 26:19
  what
• 26:19
  I
• 26:19
  like
• 26:19
  is
• 26:20
  you're
• 26:20
  filling
• 26:20
  such
• 26:21
  a
• 26:21
  need
• 26:21
  out
• 26:22
  there
• 26:22
  and
• 26:22
  if
• 26:22
  you've
• 26:23
  ever
• 26:23
  been
• 26:23
  in
• 26:23
  an
• 26:24
  area
• 26:24
  where
• 26:24
  you've
• 26:24
  had
• 26:24
  windstorm
• 26:25
  damage,
• 26:26
  I
• 26:26
  have.
• 26:27
  Trying
• 26:27
  to
• 26:27
  find
• 26:28
  a
• 26:28
  company
• 26:29
  that
• 26:29
  wants
• 26:29
  to
• 26:29
  deal
• 26:29
  with
• 26:30
  the
• 26:30
  insurance
• 26:30
  company
• 26:31
  on
• 26:31
  repair
• 26:32
  or
• 26:32
  just
• 26:33
  is
• 26:33
  going
• 26:33
  to
• 26:33
  go
• 26:33
  up
• 26:33
  and
• 26:33
  take
• 26:33
  a
• 26:34
  look
• 26:34
  at
• 26:34
  things
• 26:34
  and
• 26:34
  try
• 26:35
  to
• 26:35
  figure
• 26:35
  out
• 26:35
  what
• 26:35
  the
• 26:36
  best
• 26:36
  solution
• 26:36
  is
• 26:37
  without
• 26:37
  just
• 26:38
  trying
• 26:38
  to
• 26:38
  force
• 26:38
  a
• 26:39
  brand
• 26:39
  new
• 26:39
  roof
• 26:39
  on
• 26:40
  is
• 26:40
  something
• 26:41
  innovative.
• 26:41
  Now,
• 26:42
  there's
• 26:42
  a
• 26:42
  lot
• 26:42
  of
• 26:42
  great
• 26:43
  roofers
• 26:43
  out
• 26:43
  there,
• 26:44
  but
• 26:44
  there's
• 26:44
  also
• 26:45
  a
• 26:45
  lot
• 26:45
  of
• 26:45
  great
• 26:45
  roofers
• 26:46
  that
• 26:46
  don't
• 26:46
  want
• 26:46
  to
• 26:46
  go
• 26:46
  up
• 26:46
  and
• 26:46
  do
• 26:47
  repairs
• 26:47
  because
• 26:48
  they
• 26:48
  can
• 26:48
  spend
• 26:48
  that
• 26:49
  time
• 26:49
  doing
• 26:49
  a
• 26:49
  full
• 26:49
  roof
• 26:50
  and
• 26:50
  it's
• 26:51
  more
• 26:51
  profitable
• 26:51
  for
• 26:52
  them.
• 26:52
  And
• 26:52
  I
• 26:52
  totally
• 26:53
  get
• 26:53
  it.
• 26:53
  So
• 26:54
  not
• 26:54
  saying
• 26:55
  anything
• 26:55
  about
• 26:56
  the
• 26:56
  roofing
• 26:57
  industry
• 26:57
  out
• 26:57
  there
• 26:58
  other
• 26:58
  than
• 26:58
  I
• 26:59
  think
• 26:59
  it
• 26:59
  fills
• 26:59
  a
• 27:00
  great
• 27:00
  need
• 27:01
  and
• 27:01
  trying
• 27:01
  to
• 27:01
  find
• 27:02
  somebody
• 27:02
  to
• 27:02
  get
• 27:02
  up
• 27:02
  there
• 27:03
  and
• 27:03
  do
• 27:03
  that
• 27:03
  work
• 27:04
  is
• 27:04
  pretty
• 27:05
  smart.
• 27:05
  And
• 27:06
  so
• 27:06
  there's
• 27:06
  a
• 27:06
  lot
• 27:06
  to
• 27:06
  be
• 27:07
  said
• 27:07
  about
• 27:07
  a
• 27:07
  company
• 27:07
  out
• 27:08
  there
• 27:08
  that
• 27:08
  has
• 27:09
  grown
• 27:09
  across
• 27:09
  the
• 27:09
  US
• 27:10
  that
• 27:10
  is
• 27:11
  ready
• 27:11
  to
• 27:11
  help
• 27:11
  people
• 27:12
  with
• 27:12
  storm
• 27:12
  damage.
• 27:13
  Because
• 27:13
  one
• 27:13
  of
• 27:13
  the
• 27:13
  biggest
• 27:14
  things
• 27:14
  that
• 27:14
  we
• 27:14
  see
• 27:15
  out
• 27:15
  there
• 27:16
  is
• 27:16
  that
• 27:16
  we
• 27:16
  see
• 27:17
  this
• 27:17
  in
• 27:17
  hurricane
• 27:17
  areas,
• 27:18
  we
• 27:18
  see
• 27:18
  this
• 27:18
  in
• 27:18
  windstorms,
• 27:19
  we
• 27:19
  see
• 27:19
  this
• 27:19
  in
• 27:20
  any
• 27:20
  kind
• 27:21
  of
• 27:21
  a
• 27:21
  natural
• 27:21
  disaster
• 27:22
  that
• 27:22
  natural
• 27:23
  disaster
• 27:23
  hits.
• 27:24
  Of
• 27:24
  course,
• 27:25
  many
• 27:25
  of
• 27:26
  the
• 27:26
  homes
• 27:26
  in
• 27:26
  the
• 27:26
  area
• 27:27
  have
• 27:27
  roof
• 27:27
  damage
• 27:28
  and
• 27:28
  the
• 27:28
  local
• 27:29
  contractors
• 27:30
  don't
• 27:30
  have
• 27:30
  the
• 27:31
  bandwidth
• 27:31
  to
• 27:32
  do
• 27:32
  the
• 27:32
  work.
• 27:33
  So
• 27:33
  what
• 27:33
  happens,
• 27:34
  you
• 27:34
  get
• 27:34
  all
• 27:34
  the
• 27:34
  fly
• 27:35
  by
• 27:35
  night
• 27:35
  ones
• 27:35
  in
• 27:35
  there,
• 27:36
  the
• 27:36
  unlicensed,
• 27:37
  unbonded,
• 27:38
  uninsured
• 27:39
  contractors,
• 27:40
  the
• 27:40
  ones
• 27:40
  that
• 27:40
  have
• 27:40
  probably
• 27:41
  lost
• 27:41
  their
• 27:42
  licenses
• 27:42
  from
• 27:42
  other
• 27:43
  states.
• 27:44
  And
• 27:44
  you
• 27:44
  know
• 27:44
  something,
• 27:45
  now
• 27:46
  they're
• 27:46
  in
• 27:46
  your
• 27:47
  neighborhood
• 27:47
  trying
• 27:47
  to
• 27:47
  do
• 27:48
  roofs
• 27:48
  and
• 27:48
  you're
• 27:49
  just
• 27:49
  looking
• 27:49
  for
• 27:49
  somebody
• 27:50
  to
• 27:50
  get
• 27:51
  it
• 27:51
  dialed
• 27:51
  in
• 27:52
  and
• 27:52
  you
• 27:52
  pray
• 27:52
  and
• 27:52
  hope
• 27:52
  you
• 27:53
  hired
• 27:53
  the
• 27:53
  right
• 27:53
  person.
• 27:54
  So
• 27:54
  something
• 27:55
  like
• 27:55
  this
• 27:55
  I
• 27:55
  think
• 27:56
  is
• 27:56
  really
• 27:56
  great.
• 27:56
  And
• 27:57
  the
• 27:57
  more
• 27:57
  that
• 27:57
  we
• 27:57
  have
• 27:58
  of
• 27:58
  this
• 27:58
  kind
• 27:58
  of
• 27:58
  thing,
• 27:59
  the
• 27:59
  better
• 27:59
  we
• 28:00
  can
• 28:00
  elevate
• 28:00
  the
• 28:00
  industry.
• 28:01
  And
• 28:01
  I
• 28:01
  think
• 28:01
  it's
• 28:01
  really
• 28:02
  smart.
• 28:03
  Now,
• 28:03
  one
• 28:03
  of
• 28:03
  the
• 28:03
  things
• 28:04
  I
• 28:04
  want
• 28:04
  to
• 28:04
  talk
• 28:04
  about
• 28:04
  and
• 28:04
  we
• 28:05
  touched
• 28:05
  on
• 28:05
  in
• 28:05
  the
• 28:05
  interview,
• 28:06
  but
• 28:06
  if
• 28:06
  you're
• 28:07
  looking
• 28:07
  to
• 28:07
  get
• 28:08
  a
• 28:08
  roof
• 28:08
  done
• 28:09
  out
• 28:09
  there,
• 28:09
  and
• 28:10
  I
• 28:10
  want
• 28:10
  to
• 28:10
  give
• 28:10
  you
• 28:10
  my
• 28:10
  tips
• 28:11
  and
• 28:11
  tricks
• 28:11
  here
• 28:12
  in
• 28:12
  this
• 28:12
  rest
• 28:13
  of
• 28:13
  this
• 28:13
  segment
• 28:13
  and
• 28:13
  of
• 28:13
  course
• 28:14
  next
• 28:14
  segment
• 28:15
  on
• 28:15
  what
• 28:15
  to
• 28:16
  look
• 28:16
  for
• 28:16
  and
• 28:17
  what
• 28:17
  to
• 28:17
  think
• 28:17
  about,
• 28:18
  because
• 28:18
  there's
• 28:18
  a
• 28:18
  lot
• 28:18
  of
• 28:19
  different
• 28:19
  options
• 28:19
  out
• 28:20
  there.
• 28:20
  If
• 28:20
  you're
• 28:20
  in
• 28:20
  California
• 28:21
  or
• 28:21
  Southern
• 28:22
  states,
• 28:22
  you've
• 28:22
  got
• 28:23
  your
• 28:23
  tile
• 28:23
  roofs,
• 28:24
  you've
• 28:24
  got
• 28:24
  metal
• 28:25
  roofs,
• 28:26
  you've
• 28:26
  got,
• 28:26
  of
• 28:27
  course,
• 28:27
  your
• 28:27
  different
• 28:27
  tar
• 28:28
  architectural
• 28:29
  roofs.
• 28:30
  You've
• 28:30
  got
• 28:31
  some
• 28:31
  of
• 28:31
  the
• 28:31
  composite
• 28:32
  ones
• 28:32
  out
• 28:32
  there
• 28:32
  that
• 28:32
  are
• 28:32
  more
• 28:33
  of
• 28:33
  a
• 28:33
  rubber
• 28:33
  one
• 28:34
  that
• 28:34
  look
• 28:34
  more
• 28:35
  like
• 28:35
  shake.
• 28:35
  There's
• 28:35
  a
• 28:36
  lot
• 28:36
  of
• 28:36
  different
• 28:36
  materials
• 28:37
  out
• 28:37
  there.
• 28:38
  And
• 28:38
  so
• 28:38
  that's
• 28:39
  one
• 28:39
  of
• 28:39
  the
• 28:39
  things
• 28:39
  that
• 28:39
  I
• 28:39
  want
• 28:40
  you
• 28:40
  to
• 28:40
  think
• 28:40
  about
• 28:41
  as
• 28:41
  you're
• 28:41
  thinking
• 28:42
  about
• 28:42
  a
• 28:42
  new
• 28:42
  roof.
• 28:42
  And
• 28:43
  this
• 28:43
  is
• 28:43
  something
• 28:43
  I'm
• 28:43
  doing
• 28:44
  now
• 28:44
  next
• 28:44
  year
• 28:44
  if
• 28:45
  I'm
• 28:45
  hoping
• 28:45
  my
• 28:46
  roof
• 28:46
  can
• 28:46
  make
• 28:46
  it
• 28:46
  through
• 28:46
  the
• 28:47
  winter,
• 28:47
  and
• 28:48
  it
• 28:48
  should.
• 28:48
  I've
• 28:48
  been
• 28:48
  up
• 28:48
  there,
• 28:49
  what,
• 28:49
  keeping
• 28:49
  an
• 28:49
  eye
• 28:49
  on
• 28:49
  it,
• 28:50
  maintaining
• 28:50
  it,
• 28:51
  but
• 28:51
  I'm
• 28:51
  starting
• 28:52
  to
• 28:52
  notice
• 28:52
  now,
• 28:53
  you
• 28:53
  know,
• 28:53
  it's
• 28:54
  towards
• 28:54
  the
• 28:54
  end
• 28:54
  of
• 28:54
  its
• 28:54
  life,
• 28:55
  I'm
• 28:55
  noticing
• 28:55
  some
• 28:55
  soft
• 28:56
  spots
• 28:56
  which
• 28:56
  tells
• 28:57
  me
• 28:57
  that
• 28:57
  I've
• 28:58
  got
• 28:58
  that
• 28:58
  plywood
• 28:59
  is
• 28:59
  starting
• 28:59
  to
• 28:59
  break
• 29:00
  down
• 29:00
  in
• 29:00
  a
• 29:01
  couple
• 29:01
  spots
• 29:01
  and
• 29:02
  that
• 29:02
  tells
• 29:02
  me
• 29:02
  that
• 29:02
  it's
• 29:03
  on
• 29:03
  its
• 29:03
  last
• 29:03
  leg.
• 29:04
  That
• 29:04
  means
• 29:05
  I
• 29:05
  got
• 29:05
  to
• 29:05
  pay
• 29:05
  attention
• 29:05
  to
• 29:06
  those
• 29:06
  areas
• 29:06
  to
• 29:06
  make
• 29:07
  sure
• 29:07
  that
• 29:07
  they're
• 29:07
  going
• 29:07
  to
• 29:07
  make
• 29:08
  it
• 29:08
  through
• 29:08
  the
• 29:08
  winter.
• 29:09
  And
• 29:09
  in
• 29:09
  my
• 29:09
  area,
• 29:09
  it's
• 29:10
  tough
• 29:10
  because
• 29:10
  winter
• 29:11
  here
• 29:11
  usually
• 29:11
  means
• 29:12
  tons
• 29:12
  and
• 29:12
  tons
• 29:12
  of
• 29:12
  rain,
• 29:13
  which
• 29:13
  is
• 29:14
  not
• 29:14
  great
• 29:14
  for
• 29:14
  those
• 29:14
  soft
• 29:15
  spots.
• 29:15
  So
• 29:15
  I'm
• 29:15
  keeping
• 29:16
  an
• 29:16
  eye
• 29:16
  on
• 29:16
  things,
• 29:16
  making
• 29:16
  sure
• 29:17
  I
• 29:17
  don't
• 29:17
  have
• 29:17
  any
• 29:17
  damage
• 29:18
  that
• 29:18
  is
• 29:19
  getting
• 29:19
  worse
• 29:19
  up
• 29:19
  there.
• 29:20
  But
• 29:21
  that's
• 29:21
  where
• 29:21
  we
• 29:21
  talked
• 29:22
  about
• 29:22
  it
• 29:22
  a
• 29:22
  few
• 29:22
  years
• 29:23
  ago.
• 29:23
  I'm
• 29:23
  going
• 29:24
  to
• 29:24
  probably
• 29:24
  do
• 29:24
  the
• 29:24
  fortified
• 29:25
  roof
• 29:25
  system,
• 29:25
  and
• 29:26
  that's
• 29:26
  something
• 29:26
  I'm
• 29:26
  going
• 29:26
  to
• 29:26
  work
• 29:26
  on.
• 29:27
  I'm
• 29:27
  going
• 29:27
  to
• 29:27
  put
• 29:27
  on
• 29:28
  all
• 29:29
  the
• 29:29
  things,
• 29:29
  including
• 29:29
  the
• 29:30
  ring
• 29:30
  shank.
• 29:30
  I
• 29:30
  know
• 29:31
  I'm
• 29:31
  going
• 29:31
  to
• 29:31
  have
• 29:31
  to
• 29:31
  do
• 29:31
  some
• 29:32
  re
• 29:32
  sheathing
• 29:32
  because
• 29:33
  that
• 29:33
  plywood
• 29:34
  that's
• 29:34
  up
• 29:34
  there
• 29:34
  is
• 29:35
  starting
• 29:35
  to
• 29:35
  delaminate
• 29:36
  in
• 29:36
  a
• 29:36
  few
• 29:36
  spots.
• 29:37
  And
• 29:37
  I
• 29:37
  know
• 29:37
  that.
• 29:38
  So
• 29:38
  why
• 29:39
  not
• 29:39
  go
• 29:39
  up
• 29:39
  there,
• 29:40
  do
• 29:40
  it
• 29:40
  right?
• 29:41
  I
• 29:41
  can
• 29:42
  deal
• 29:42
  with
• 29:42
  insulation
• 29:43
  while
• 29:43
  I'm
• 29:43
  up
• 29:43
  there
• 29:44
  and
• 29:44
  I
• 29:44
  can
• 29:44
  really
• 29:45
  take
• 29:45
  care
• 29:45
  of
• 29:45
  a
• 29:46
  few
• 29:46
  things
• 29:46
  all
• 29:47
  at
• 29:47
  once,
• 29:48
  which
• 29:48
  to
• 29:48
  me
• 29:48
  is
• 29:48
  pretty
• 29:49
  exciting
• 29:49
  because
• 29:49
  I
• 29:49
  can
• 29:49
  get
• 29:50
  up
• 29:50
  there
• 29:50
  and
• 29:50
  do
• 29:50
  it
• 29:50
  right
• 29:51
  and
• 29:52
  I
• 29:52
  can
• 29:52
  get
• 29:52
  it
• 29:52
  certified.
• 29:53
  So
• 29:54
  I
• 29:54
  am
• 29:54
  looking
• 29:54
  good
• 29:55
  to
• 29:55
  go.
• 29:56
  Now,
• 29:56
  one
• 29:57
  of
• 29:57
  the
• 29:57
  things
• 29:57
  before
• 29:57
  you
• 29:58
  dive
• 29:58
  into
• 29:58
  this
• 29:58
  whole
• 29:58
  thing
• 29:59
  that
• 29:59
  I
• 29:59
  want
• 29:59
  you
• 29:59
  to
• 29:59
  take
• 29:59
  a
• 30:00
  look
• 30:00
  at,
• 30:00
  though,
• 30:01
  is
• 30:01
  your
• 30:01
  brand
• 30:02
  of
• 30:02
  roofing
• 30:02
  that
• 30:02
  you're
• 30:03
  going
• 30:03
  to
• 30:03
  be
• 30:03
  putting
• 30:03
  up
• 30:03
  there.
• 30:04
  Before
• 30:04
  you
• 30:04
  call
• 30:04
  a
• 30:04
  contractor,
• 30:06
  before
• 30:06
  you
• 30:06
  figure
• 30:06
  out
• 30:07
  what
• 30:07
  you
• 30:07
  want
• 30:07
  to
• 30:07
  do,
• 30:08
  take
• 30:08
  a
• 30:08
  look
• 30:08
  and
• 30:09
  do
• 30:09
  your
• 30:09
  shopping.
• 30:10
  So
• 30:10
  figure
• 30:11
  out
• 30:11
  what
• 30:11
  you
• 30:11
  want
• 30:11
  it
• 30:11
  to
• 30:12
  look
• 30:12
  like.
• 30:13
  And
• 30:13
  of
• 30:13
  course,
• 30:13
  budget's
• 30:14
  going
• 30:14
  to
• 30:14
  be
• 30:14
  a
• 30:14
  consideration,
• 30:15
  but
• 30:15
  you
• 30:15
  want
• 30:16
  to
• 30:16
  take
• 30:16
  a
• 30:16
  look
• 30:16
  and
• 30:16
  see
• 30:16
  if
• 30:17
  you're
• 30:17
  going
• 30:17
  to
• 30:17
  be
• 30:17
  honest.
• 30:17
  I
• 30:18
  would
• 30:18
  not
• 30:18
  do
• 30:18
  a
• 30:19
  standard
• 30:19
  three
• 30:20
  tab
• 30:20
  roof
• 30:20
  on
• 30:20
  anything
• 30:21
  besides
• 30:21
  a
• 30:21
  garden
• 30:21
  shed
• 30:22
  anymore.
• 30:22
  It's
• 30:23
  just
• 30:23
  not
• 30:23
  durable.
• 30:24
  There's
• 30:24
  a
• 30:24
  lot
• 30:24
  of
• 30:25
  better
• 30:25
  roofs
• 30:25
  up
• 30:25
  there.
• 30:26
  And
• 30:26
  like
• 30:26
  we
• 30:26
  were
• 30:26
  talking
• 30:27
  about
• 30:27
  here
• 30:27
  with
• 30:27
  Matt
• 30:28
  in
• 30:28
  this
• 30:28
  last
• 30:29
  episode,
• 30:30
  take
• 30:30
  a
• 30:30
  look
• 30:31
  at
• 30:31
  the
• 30:31
  roofing,
• 30:32
  pick
• 30:32
  it
• 30:32
  out,
• 30:33
  stay
• 30:34
  away
• 30:34
  from
• 30:34
  the
• 30:34
  three
• 30:34
  tab.
• 30:35
  Get
• 30:35
  in
• 30:35
  there.
• 30:36
  It's
• 30:36
  one
• 30:36
  thing
• 30:36
  if
• 30:36
  you're
• 30:36
  doing
• 30:36
  a
• 30:36
  repair,
• 30:37
  but
• 30:37
  get
• 30:38
  rid
• 30:38
  of
• 30:38
  that.
• 30:38
  Don't
• 30:39
  put
• 30:39
  that
• 30:39
  back
• 30:39
  on.
• 30:40
  Roofing
• 30:40
  has
• 30:41
  come
• 30:41
  a
• 30:41
  long
• 30:41
  way,
• 30:41
  so
• 30:41
  what
• 30:42
  I
• 30:42
  would
• 30:42
  do
• 30:42
  is
• 30:42
  take
• 30:43
  a
• 30:43
  look
• 30:43
  and
• 30:43
  figure
• 30:44
  that
• 30:44
  out.
• 30:44
  Now
• 30:44
  when
• 30:44
  we
• 30:45
  come
• 30:45
  back,
• 30:46
  I'm
• 30:46
  going
• 30:46
  to

• 30:46
  you
• 30:46
  why
• 30:47
  this
• 30:47
  is
• 30:47

• 30:48
  big
• 30:48

• 30:48
  of
• 30:48
  this.
• 30:49
  Because
• 30:49
  this
• 30:49
  is
• 30:49
  probably
• 30:50
  one
• 30:50
  of
• 30:50
  the
• 30:50
  most
• 30:50
  important
• 30:51
  things

  when

  it
• 30:52
  comes

  you're

  how
• 30:59
  that
• 30:59

• 31:00
  is
• 31:00
  going
• 31:00
  to

• 31:00
  And
• 31:01
  yes,
• 31:01
  you
• 31:02
  should
• 31:02
  not
• 31:02
  look
• 31:02
  at
• 31:02
  that
• 31:02
  as
• 31:03
  a
• 31:03

• 31:04
  or
• 31:04

• 31:04
  You
• 31:05
  should

• 31:05
  it
• 31:05
  as

• 31:06
  I'll

  you
• 31:07

  just
• 31:07
  as
• 31:07
  soon

  we

  some

  of

  to
• 34:15
  hear
• 34:15
  the

  whole
• 34:16
  thing,
• 34:17
  especially
• 34:17
  when
• 34:17
  we
• 34:17
  do
• 34:17
  bigger
• 34:18
  interviews,
• 34:18
  many
• 34:19
  times
• 34:19
  there's
• 34:19
  20
• 34:20
  minutes
• 34:20
  or
• 34:20
  so
• 34:20
  in
• 34:20
  the
• 34:20
  show
• 34:21
  that's
• 34:21
  not
• 34:21
  heard.
• 34:22
  It's
• 34:22
  four
• 34:22
  bucks
• 34:22
  a
• 34:23
  month.
• 34:23
  And
• 34:24
  if
• 34:24
  you
• 34:24
  send
• 34:24
  me
• 34:24
  a
• 34:25
  message,
• 34:25
  I've
• 34:26
  got
• 34:26
  a
• 34:26
  special
• 34:26
  deal
• 34:26
  that
• 34:27
  I'm
• 34:27
  putting
• 34:27
  out
• 34:27
  here
• 34:28
  next
• 34:28
  week
• 34:28
  that
• 34:29
  I
• 34:29
  can't
• 34:29
  wait
• 34:29
  to
• 34:29
  tell
• 34:29
  you.
• 34:30
  I
• 34:30
  got
• 34:30
  a
• 34:30
  special
• 34:31
  little
• 34:31
  gift
• 34:31
  for
• 34:31
  you
• 34:32
  as
• 34:32
  well.
• 34:33
  And
• 34:33
  I'll
• 34:33
  tell
• 34:33
  you
• 34:33
  what
• 34:33
  that
• 34:34
  is.
• 34:34
  All
• 34:35
  right,
• 34:35
  we're
• 34:35
  talking
• 34:35
  roofing.
• 34:36
  One
• 34:36
  of
• 34:36
  the
• 34:36
  most
• 34:36
  important
• 34:37
  things
• 34:37
  is
• 34:37
  finding
• 34:38
  a
• 34:38
  contractor
• 34:40
  that
• 34:40
  is
• 34:40
  familiar
• 34:41
  with
• 34:42
  the
• 34:42
  roofing
• 34:42
  system
• 34:43
  you
• 34:43
  want
• 34:43
  to
• 34:43
  put
• 34:43
  in.
• 34:44
  So
• 34:44
  there's
• 34:45
  so
• 34:45
  many
• 34:45
  brands
• 34:46
  out
• 34:46
  there,
• 34:47
  but
• 34:47
  there
• 34:47
  is
• 34:48
  one
• 34:48
  common
• 34:48
  thing
• 34:49
  out
• 34:49
  there
• 34:49
  is
• 34:50
  that
• 34:50
  the
• 34:50
  roofing
• 34:51
  companies,
• 34:51
  because
• 34:52
  there
• 34:52
  are
• 34:52
  so
• 34:53
  many
• 34:53
  different
• 34:53
  roofing
• 34:54
  systems
• 34:55
  out
• 34:55
  there,
• 34:56
  they
• 34:56
  train
• 34:57
  installers
• 34:58
  to
• 34:58
  be
• 34:58
  able
• 34:58
  to
• 34:58
  put
• 34:59
  their
• 34:59
  system
• 34:59
  down
• 35:00
  correctly
• 35:01
  because
• 35:01
  it
• 35:01
  isn't
• 35:01
  just
• 35:02
  tapping
• 35:03
  nails
• 35:03
  and
• 35:03
  throwing
• 35:03
  shingles
• 35:04
  up.
• 35:04
  There's
• 35:05
  ice
• 35:05
  shields,
• 35:06
  there's
• 35:07
  underlayments.
• 35:08
  Felt
• 35:08
  is
• 35:09
  really
• 35:09
  not
• 35:09
  one
• 35:09
  of
• 35:09
  those
• 35:09
  things
• 35:10
  you're
• 35:10
  seeing
• 35:10
  being
• 35:10
  used
• 35:11
  anymore.
• 35:11
  It's
• 35:11
  really
• 35:12
  an
• 35:12
  underlayment
• 35:13
  system
• 35:14
  up
• 35:14
  there.
• 35:14
  And
• 35:15
  you're
• 35:15
  seeing
• 35:15
  all
• 35:16
  these
• 35:16
  different
• 35:16
  layers
• 35:17
  that
• 35:18
  go
• 35:18
  into
• 35:18
  a
• 35:18
  roof
• 35:19
  system.
• 35:19
  They
• 35:20
  are
• 35:20
  making
• 35:20
  sure
• 35:21
  so
• 35:21
  they
• 35:21
  don't
• 35:21
  have
• 35:21
  warranty
• 35:22
  claims
• 35:22
  and
• 35:22
  issues
• 35:23
  of
• 35:23
  a
• 35:23
  poorly
• 35:24
  installed
• 35:24
  roof
• 35:25
  system.
• 35:25
  You're
• 35:26
  seeing
• 35:26
  companies
• 35:27
  now,
• 35:27
  and
• 35:27
  it's
• 35:27
  been
• 35:28
  going
• 35:28
  on
• 35:28
  for
• 35:28
  years,
• 35:29
  having
• 35:30
  certified
• 35:30
  installers
• 35:31
  or
• 35:32
  trained
• 35:33
  installers.
• 35:33
  So
• 35:34
  they
• 35:34
  have
• 35:34
  gone
• 35:34
  through.
• 35:35
  They
• 35:35
  know
• 35:35
  that
• 35:35
  these
• 35:36
  guys
• 35:36
  are
• 35:36
  putting
• 35:36
  the
• 35:36
  system
• 35:37
  in
• 35:37
  systems
• 35:38
  incorrectly
• 35:39
  and
• 35:39
  they
• 35:39
  have
• 35:39
  these
• 35:40
  different
• 35:40
  systems
• 35:41
  or
• 35:41
  levels
• 35:42
  of
• 35:42
  installer
• 35:43
  depending
• 35:44
  on
• 35:44
  how
• 35:44
  much
• 35:45
  they're
• 35:45
  doing
• 35:46
  and
• 35:46
  what
• 35:46
  they're
• 35:47
  doing
• 35:47
  on
• 35:47
  that
• 35:47
  roof.
• 35:48
  So
• 35:49
  take
• 35:49
  a
• 35:49
  look
• 35:49
  at
• 35:49
  each
• 35:50
  company
• 35:50
  and
• 35:51
  then
• 35:51
  try
• 35:51
  to
• 35:51
  use
• 35:52
  their
• 35:52
  website
• 35:52
  to
• 35:53
  find
• 35:53
  an
• 35:53
  installer
• 35:54
  near
• 35:54
  you
• 35:55
  and
• 35:55
  here's
• 35:55
  what
• 35:55
  happens
• 35:56
  and
• 35:56
  this
• 35:57
  is
• 35:57
  why
• 35:57
  I
• 35:57
  think
• 35:57
  this
• 35:57
  is
• 35:58
  really
• 35:58
  important.
• 35:58
  One,
• 35:59
  you've
• 36:00
  got
• 36:00
  a
• 36:00
  roofer
• 36:00
  that
• 36:00
  is
• 36:00
  very
• 36:01
  familiar
• 36:01
  with
• 36:01
  the
• 36:02
  system.
• 36:02
  Two,
• 36:03
  they're
• 36:03
  probably
• 36:03
  getting
• 36:04
  a
• 36:04
  better
• 36:04
  deal
• 36:04
  on
• 36:05
  it,
• 36:05
  or
• 36:05
  at
• 36:05
  least,
• 36:05
  you
• 36:06
  know,
• 36:06
  they're
• 36:06
  not
• 36:06
  paying
• 36:06
  the
• 36:06
  highest
• 36:07
  price
• 36:07
  for
• 36:07
  the
• 36:07
  materials.
• 36:08
  And
• 36:09
  lastly,
• 36:10
  it's
• 36:10
  going
• 36:10
  to
• 36:11
  reduce
• 36:11
  your
• 36:11
  chances
• 36:12
  of
• 36:12
  having
• 36:13
  warranty
• 36:13
  issues
• 36:14
  with
• 36:14
  the
• 36:15
  roof
• 36:15
  because
• 36:16
  here's
• 36:16
  what
• 36:16
  happens.
• 36:16
  There's
• 36:17
  a
• 36:17
  lot
• 36:17
  of
• 36:17
  great
• 36:17
  roofing
• 36:18
  underlayments
• 36:18
  out
• 36:19
  there,
• 36:19
  and
• 36:20
  some
• 36:20
  brands
• 36:20
  make
• 36:21
  better
• 36:21
  ones
• 36:21
  than
• 36:21
  others.
• 36:22
  But
• 36:22
  the
• 36:22
  problem
• 36:22
  that
• 36:22
  you
• 36:23
  have
• 36:23
  is
• 36:23
  that
• 36:24
  like
• 36:24
  anything
• 36:24
  with
• 36:25
  a
• 36:25
  warranty,
• 36:26
  when
• 36:26
  you
• 36:26
  start
• 36:26
  mixing
• 36:27
  stuff
• 36:28
  together,
• 36:29
  you're
• 36:29
  giving
• 36:29
  it
• 36:30
  out
• 36:30
  to
• 36:30
  the
• 36:31
  roofing
• 36:31
  company
• 36:31
  or
• 36:32
  the
• 36:32
  main
• 36:32
  people
• 36:32
  that
• 36:33
  are
• 36:33
  in
• 36:33
  charge
• 36:33
  of
• 36:33
  the
• 36:33
  warranty.
• 36:35
  That
• 36:35
  way
• 36:35
  you
• 36:36
  don't
• 36:36
  go,
• 36:36
  it
• 36:36
  was
• 36:36
  an
• 36:36
  installer
• 36:37
  error.
• 36:37
  They
• 36:38
  put
• 36:38
  the
• 36:38
  wrong
• 36:38
  underlayment
• 36:39
  data
• 36:39
  and
• 36:40
  you're
• 36:40
  like,
• 36:40
  has
• 36:41
  nothing
• 36:41
  to
• 36:41
  do
• 36:41
  with
• 36:41
  the
• 36:41
  underlayment.
• 36:42
  And
• 36:43
  so
• 36:43
  you
• 36:43
  open
• 36:44
  up
• 36:45
  the
• 36:45
  can
• 36:46
  of
• 36:46
  worms
• 36:47
  of
• 36:47
  having
• 36:47
  multiple
• 36:48
  manufacturers
• 36:49
  of
• 36:49
  product
• 36:50
  up
• 36:50
  there.
• 36:51
  So
• 36:51
  I
• 36:51
  strongly
• 36:51
  recommend
• 36:52
  that
• 36:52
  you
• 36:52
  look
• 36:52
  at
• 36:53
  the
• 36:53
  system
• 36:53
  and
• 36:54
  work
• 36:54
  its
• 36:54
  way
• 36:54
  that
• 36:55
  way.
• 36:55
  So
• 36:56
  understand
• 36:56
  the
• 36:56
  roofing
• 36:57
  and
• 36:57
  then
• 36:58
  start
• 36:58
  talking
• 36:58
  to
• 36:59
  contractors
• 36:59
  and
• 37:00
  seeing
• 37:00
  what
• 37:00
  happens.
• 37:01
  Talk
• 37:01
  to
• 37:02
  those,
• 37:03
  of
• 37:03
  course,
• 37:03
  you're
• 37:04
  still,
• 37:04
  just
• 37:04
  because
• 37:04
  they're
• 37:05
  certified,
• 37:05
  you
• 37:05
  want
• 37:06
  to
• 37:06
  make
• 37:06
  sure
• 37:07
  that
• 37:07
  they're
• 37:07
  licensed,
• 37:08
  bonded
• 37:09
  and
• 37:09
  insured.
• 37:10
  You
• 37:10
  want
• 37:10
  to
• 37:10
  make
• 37:11
  sure
• 37:11
  that
• 37:11
  you
• 37:11
  don't
• 37:11
  have
• 37:12
  to
• 37:12
  pull
• 37:12
  a
• 37:12
  building
• 37:13
  permit
• 37:13
  or
• 37:13
  something
• 37:13
  for
• 37:14
  this.
• 37:14
  Now,
• 37:15
  as
• 37:15
  a
• 37:15
  homeowner,
• 37:16
  I
• 37:16
  would
• 37:16
  say
• 37:17
  if
• 37:17
  you
• 37:17
  have
• 37:17
  to
• 37:17
  pull
• 37:18
  a
• 37:18
  building
• 37:18
  permit
• 37:19
  for
• 37:19
  it,
• 37:20
  do
• 37:20
  it.
• 37:21
  Why?
• 37:22
  Okay,
• 37:22
  it's
• 37:22
  going
• 37:22
  to
• 37:22
  cost
• 37:22
  you
• 37:22
  a
• 37:23
  little
• 37:23
  bit
• 37:23
  of
• 37:23
  money,
• 37:24
  but
• 37:24
  one,
• 37:25
  you're
• 37:25
  going
• 37:25
  to
• 37:25
  have
• 37:26
  an
• 37:26
  inspector
• 37:26
  that
• 37:27
  should
• 37:27
  be
• 37:27
  going
• 37:27
  up
• 37:27
  on
• 37:27
  that
• 37:27
  roof
• 37:28
  to
• 37:28
  take
• 37:28
  a
• 37:28
  look
• 37:28
  at
• 37:28
  it
• 37:29
  and
• 37:29
  make
• 37:29
  sure
• 37:30
  that
• 37:30
  the
• 37:30
  drip
• 37:30
  edges
• 37:31
  are
• 37:31
  right,
• 37:31
  that
• 37:31
  they're
• 37:32
  doing
• 37:32
  all
• 37:32
  those
• 37:32
  things.
• 37:33
  And
• 37:34
  the
• 37:34
  other
• 37:34
  thing
• 37:34
  is
• 37:34
  too,
• 37:35
  is
• 37:35
  when
• 37:35
  you're
• 37:35
  working
• 37:36
  through
• 37:36
  this
• 37:36
  process
• 37:36
  of
• 37:37
  getting
• 37:37
  quotes,
• 37:38
  make
• 37:38
  sure
• 37:38
  that
• 37:38
  you
• 37:39
  understand
• 37:39
  metal
• 37:40
  work
• 37:41
  is
• 37:41
  the
• 37:42
  key
• 37:42
  to
• 37:42
  this
• 37:42
  as
• 37:43
  well.
• 37:43
  What
• 37:44
  am
• 37:44
  I
• 37:44
  talking
• 37:44
  about?
• 37:45
  I'm
• 37:45
  talking
• 37:45
  about
• 37:45
  the
• 37:46
  step
• 37:46
  flashing
• 37:47
  that's
• 37:47
  maybe
• 37:47
  going
• 37:47
  down
• 37:48
  up
• 37:48
  against
• 37:48
  a
• 37:48
  second
• 37:48
  story
• 37:49
  house,
• 37:50
  the
• 37:50
  flashing
• 37:51
  that's
• 37:51
  going
• 37:51
  around
• 37:52
  a
• 37:52
  chimney.
• 37:53
  Now,
• 37:53
  if
• 37:53
  you're
• 37:53
  in
• 37:53
  a
• 37:54
  coastal
• 37:54
  region,
• 37:55
  now
• 37:56
  you're
• 37:56
  talking
• 37:56
  stainless
• 37:57
  steel
• 37:57
  materials.
• 37:58
  If
• 37:58
  you're
• 37:59
  in
• 37:59
  a
• 37:59
  coastal
• 37:59
  region,
• 38:00
  are
• 38:00
  using
• 38:00
  stainless
• 38:01
  steel
• 38:01
  nails
• 38:02
  or
• 38:03
  at
• 38:03
  least
• 38:03
  a
• 38:04
  heavy
• 38:05
  duty
• 38:05
  galvanized
• 38:06
  nail.
• 38:06
  Are
• 38:07
  you
• 38:07
  finding
• 38:07
  if
• 38:08
  you're
• 38:08
  on
• 38:08
  a
• 38:08
  coastal
• 38:08
  region
• 38:09
  as
• 38:09
  well
• 38:09
  or
• 38:09
  like
• 38:09
  out
• 38:10
  here
• 38:10
  on
• 38:10
  the
• 38:10
  west
• 38:10
  coast
• 38:11
  in
• 38:11
  the
• 38:11
  Pacific
• 38:12
  Northwest,
• 38:12
  I'm
• 38:13
  looking
• 38:13
  to
• 38:13
  see
• 38:14
  how
• 38:14
  it
• 38:14
  does
• 38:14
  with
• 38:15
  wind.
• 38:15
  I'm
• 38:15
  looking
• 38:16
  to
• 38:16
  see
• 38:16
  how
• 38:16
  it
• 38:16
  does
• 38:17
  with
• 38:17
  moss.
• 38:18
  How
• 38:18
  does
• 38:18
  it
• 38:18
  hold
• 38:19
  up
• 38:19
  to
• 38:19
  those
• 38:19
  kind
• 38:19
  of
• 38:19
  things.
• 38:20
  Because
• 38:21
  I
• 38:21
  tell
• 38:21
  you
• 38:21
  what,
• 38:21
  if
• 38:21
  you
• 38:22
  look
• 38:22
  at
• 38:22
  my
• 38:22
  neighborhood
• 38:22
  here,
• 38:23
  if
• 38:24
  you
• 38:24
  get
• 38:24
  moss
• 38:24
  cleanings
• 38:25
  done
• 38:25
  every
• 38:25
  year
• 38:26
  on
• 38:26
  that
• 38:26
  thing,
• 38:27
  it's
• 38:27
  not
• 38:27
  enough.
• 38:28
  I
• 38:29
  just
• 38:29
  treated
• 38:29
  my
• 38:29
  roof
• 38:29
  for
• 38:30
  moss
• 38:30
  three
• 38:31
  months
• 38:31
  ago.
• 38:31
  Guess
• 38:32
  what?
• 38:32
  I
• 38:32
  gotta
• 38:33
  do
• 38:33
  it
• 38:33
  again.
• 38:34
  Everything
• 38:34
  likes
• 38:35
  to
• 38:35
  grow
• 38:35
  green
• 38:35
  here.
• 38:36
  But
• 38:36
  then
• 38:36
  you
• 38:36
  get
• 38:37
  down
• 38:37
  into
• 38:37
  the
• 38:38
  desert
• 38:38
  southwest,
• 38:39
  now
• 38:40
  you're
• 38:40
  looking
• 38:40
  at
• 38:40
  something
• 38:40
  that's
• 38:40
  gonna
• 38:41
  hold
• 38:41
  up
• 38:41
  to
• 38:42
  extreme
• 38:42
  heat.
• 38:43
  And
• 38:43
  now
• 38:44
  I
• 38:44
  gotta
• 38:44
  look
• 38:44
  at
• 38:44
  something
• 38:44
  for
• 38:45
  extreme
• 38:45
  heat,
• 38:45
  too.
• 38:45
  If
• 38:46
  I
• 38:46
  had
• 38:46
  a
• 38:46
  full
• 38:47
  sun
• 38:47
  house,
• 38:48
  because,
• 38:48
  yeah,
• 38:49
  a
• 38:49
  few
• 38:49
  years
• 38:49
  ago,
• 38:49
  we
• 38:49
  got
• 38:50
  to
• 38:50
  be
• 38:50
  117
• 38:51
  degrees.
• 38:52
  Think
• 38:52
  about
• 38:52
  what
• 38:53
  you're
• 38:53
  looking
• 38:53
  at.
• 38:54
  Think
• 38:54
  about
• 38:54
  what's
• 38:55
  going
• 38:55
  to
• 38:55
  work
• 38:55
  and
• 38:56
  take
• 38:56
  a
• 38:56
  look
• 38:56
  at
• 38:56
  that
• 38:57
  color
• 38:57
  and
• 38:57
  see
• 38:58
  how
• 38:58
  it's
• 38:59
  going
• 38:59
  to
• 38:59
  match
• 39:00
  some
• 39:00
  of
• 39:00
  the
• 39:00
  issues
• 39:01
  that
• 39:01
  you
• 39:01
  run
• 39:01
  on
• 39:02
  to
• 39:02
  as
• 39:02
  well.
• 39:02
  Make
• 39:03
  sure
• 39:03
  you
• 39:03
  have
• 39:03
  extra
• 39:04
  material.
• 39:05
  Here's
• 39:05
  why.
• 39:06
  When
• 39:06
  you
• 39:06
  have
• 39:07
  trendy
• 39:07
  colors
• 39:08
  like
• 39:08
  the
• 39:08
  greens
• 39:08
  and
• 39:09
  the
• 39:09
  blues,
• 39:09
  those
• 39:10
  things
• 39:10
  change
• 39:11
  all
• 39:11
  the
• 39:11
  time.
• 39:12
  And
• 39:12
  if
• 39:12
  you
• 39:12
  have
• 39:12
  to
• 39:12
  go
• 39:12
  up
• 39:13
  and
• 39:13
  do
• 39:13
  a
• 39:13
  repair,
• 39:14
  you
• 39:14
  want
• 39:14
  to
• 39:14
  have
• 39:15
  a
• 39:16
  few
• 39:16
  bundles
• 39:16
  of
• 39:16
  shingles
• 39:17
  stuck
• 39:17
  away
• 39:18
  in
• 39:18
  a
• 39:18
  cool,
• 39:19
  dry,
• 39:20
  not
• 39:20
  sunny
• 39:21
  place.
• 39:22
  So
• 39:22
  that
• 39:22
  way,
• 39:22
  if
• 39:23
  you
• 39:23
  have
• 39:23
  to
• 39:23
  have
• 39:23
  somebody
• 39:24
  go
• 39:24
  up
• 39:24
  and
• 39:24
  do
• 39:24
  a
• 39:24
  repair,
• 39:25
  it's
• 39:25
  not
• 39:26
  a
• 39:26
  big
• 39:26
  deal.
• 39:27
  My
• 39:27
  brother
• 39:27
  in
• 39:28
  eastern
• 39:28
  Washington,
• 39:29
  out
• 39:30
  in
• 39:30
  the
• 39:30
  desert
• 39:30
  out
• 39:30
  there,
• 39:31
  had
• 39:31
  some
• 39:31
  house
• 39:31
  painters
• 39:31
  come
• 39:32
  by
• 39:32
  a
• 39:32
  number
• 39:32
  of
• 39:32
  years
• 39:32
  ago.
• 39:33
  They
• 39:33
  got
• 39:34
  up
• 39:34
  on
• 39:34
  the
• 39:34
  roof
• 39:34
  and
• 39:34
  they
• 39:34
  were
• 39:34
  painting
• 39:35
  the
• 39:35
  trim
• 39:35
  because
• 39:35
  he
• 39:36
  did
• 39:36
  not
• 39:36
  like
• 39:36
  being
• 39:36
  up
• 39:36
  on
• 39:37
  the
• 39:37
  third
• 39:37
  story.
• 39:37
  I
• 39:37
  don't
• 39:38
  blame
• 39:38
  him.
• 39:38
  I
• 39:38
  don't
• 39:38
  like
• 39:39
  either.
• 39:39
  They
• 39:40
  got
• 39:40
  up
• 39:40
  there,
• 39:40
  did
• 39:41
  the
• 39:41
  painting,
• 39:41
  and
• 39:42
  they
• 39:42
  got
• 39:42
  paint
• 39:42
  all
• 39:43
  over
• 39:43
  his
• 39:43
  green
• 39:44
  roof.
• 39:44
  That
• 39:45
  roof
• 39:45
  was
• 39:45
  five
• 39:45
  years
• 39:46
  old.
• 39:46
  It
• 39:47
  was
• 39:47
  discolored.
• 39:48
  It
• 39:49
  was
• 39:49
  looking
• 39:49
  pretty
• 39:50
  rough
• 39:51
  because
• 39:51
  of
• 39:51
  all
• 39:52
  the
• 39:52
  paint
• 39:52
  that
• 39:53
  they
• 39:53
  got
• 39:53
  over
• 39:53
  it.
• 39:54
  They
• 39:54
  didn't
• 39:54
  tarp
• 39:54
  it
• 39:55
  off.
• 39:55
  They
• 39:55
  had
• 39:55
  paint
• 39:56
  everywhere.
• 39:57
  And
• 39:57
  then
• 39:57
  what
• 39:57
  happened?
• 39:58
  They
• 39:58
  got
• 39:58
  up
• 39:58
  there
• 39:58
  and
• 39:58
  tried
• 39:58
  to
• 39:58
  clean
• 39:59
  it,
• 39:59
  made
• 39:59
  it
• 39:59
  worse.
• 40:00
  And
• 40:01
  so
• 40:01
  this
• 40:01
  company,
• 40:02
  painting
• 40:02
  company,
• 40:03
  had
• 40:03
  to
• 40:03
  go
• 40:03
  in
• 40:04
  there
• 40:04
  and
• 40:05
  reroof
• 40:05
  that
• 40:05
  whole
• 40:06
  layer
• 40:07
  of
• 40:07
  the
• 40:07
  house.
• 40:08
  And
• 40:09
  the
• 40:09
  problem
• 40:09
  was,
• 40:09
  again,
• 40:10
  the
• 40:10
  roof
• 40:10
  didn't
• 40:11
  match,
• 40:11
  so
• 40:11
  they
• 40:11
  had
• 40:11
  to
• 40:11
  do
• 40:11
  the
• 40:12
  house.
• 40:12
  That
• 40:13
  got
• 40:13
  to
• 40:13
  be
• 40:13
  an
• 40:13
  expensive
• 40:14
  claim
• 40:15
  because
• 40:15
  of
• 40:16
  somebody
• 40:16
  not
• 40:16
  paying
• 40:16
  attention.
• 40:17
  If
• 40:18
  there
• 40:18
  would
• 40:18
  have
• 40:18
  been
• 40:18
  a
• 40:18
  few
• 40:19
  bundles
• 40:19
  of
• 40:19
  shingles
• 40:20
  around
• 40:20
  from
• 40:20
  that
• 40:21
  might
• 40:21
  have
• 40:21
  done
• 40:22
  okay.
• 40:22
  If
• 40:23
  you
• 40:23
  have
• 40:24
  some
• 40:24
  bundles
• 40:24
  put
• 40:25
  away,
• 40:25
  make
• 40:26
  sure
• 40:26
  you
• 40:26
  got
• 40:27
  that
• 40:27
  around
• 40:27
  there.
• 40:28
  Now,
• 40:28
  I
• 40:28
  also
• 40:28
  want
• 40:28
  to
• 40:29
  make
• 40:29
  sure
• 40:29
  that
• 40:29
  you've
• 40:29
  got
• 40:30
  people
• 40:30
  up
• 40:30
  there
• 40:31
  following
• 40:31
  the
• 40:32
  OSHA
• 40:32
  rules.
• 40:32
  They've
• 40:33
  got
• 40:33
  fall
• 40:33
  protection,
• 40:34
  that
• 40:34
  they're
• 40:35
  licensed,
• 40:36
  bonded
• 40:36
  and
• 40:36
  insured.
• 40:37
  And
• 40:37
  this
• 40:37
  is
• 40:38
  something
• 40:38
  that's
• 40:38
  really
• 40:38
  big,
• 40:38
  especially
• 40:39
  with
• 40:39
  roofers,
• 40:39
  because
• 40:40
  if
• 40:40
  you
• 40:40
  hired
• 40:41
  somebody
• 40:41
  that's
• 40:41
  not
• 40:41
  licensed,
• 40:42
  bonded
• 40:42
  insured.
• 40:43
  And
• 40:43
  also
• 40:44
  make
• 40:44
  sure
• 40:44
  if
• 40:44
  you
• 40:44
  can
• 40:45
  check
• 40:45
  on
• 40:45
  this
• 40:45
  as
• 40:45
  well,
• 40:46
  if
• 40:46
  they've
• 40:46
  got
• 40:47
  employees
• 40:47
  up
• 40:47
  there,
• 40:48
  make
• 40:48
  sure
• 40:48
  that
• 40:48
  they're
• 40:49
  paying
• 40:49
  for
• 40:49
  their
• 40:49
  workers
• 40:50
  compensation
• 40:50
  insurance.
• 40:51
  Now,
• 40:52
  every
• 40:52
  state
• 40:53
  in
• 40:53
  the
• 40:53
  union
• 40:53
  does
• 40:53
  this
• 40:54
  differently.
• 40:55
  So
• 40:55
  sometimes
• 40:56
  it's
• 40:56
  the
• 40:56
  Department
• 40:56
  of
• 40:57
  Labor
• 40:57
  and
• 40:57
  industries,
• 40:58
  sometimes
• 40:58
  it's
• 40:58
  through
• 40:59
  your
• 40:59
  contractors
• 40:59
  board.
• 41:00
  It's
• 41:00
  depending
• 41:01
  on
• 41:01
  who
• 41:01
  you're
• 41:02
  working
• 41:02
  with.
• 41:03
  But
• 41:03
  do
• 41:03
  the
• 41:03
  research.
• 41:04
  Note
• 41:04
  the
• 41:04
  laws
• 41:04
  on
• 41:05
  your
• 41:05
  area
• 41:05
  because
• 41:06
  like
• 41:06
  we've
• 41:06
  talked
• 41:07
  about
• 41:07
  before,
• 41:08
  if
• 41:08
  you're
• 41:08
  hiring
• 41:08
  somebody
• 41:09
  to
• 41:09
  go
• 41:09
  up
• 41:09
  on
• 41:09
  your
• 41:09
  roof
• 41:10
  and
• 41:10
  they're
• 41:11
  not
• 41:11
  licensed,
• 41:11
  bonded,
• 41:12
  insured,
• 41:13
  guess
• 41:13
  what
• 41:13
  happens
• 41:14
  if
• 41:14
  somebody
• 41:14
  falls
• 41:14
  off
• 41:15
  and
• 41:15
  gets
• 41:15
  killed?
• 41:15
  You're
• 41:16
  liable.
• 41:16
  They
• 41:16
  were
• 41:17
  your
• 41:17
  employee
• 41:17
  and
• 41:18
  guess
• 41:18
  what,
• 41:19
  you're
• 41:19
  in
• 41:19
  trouble.
• 41:20
  And
• 41:20
  that
• 41:20
  could
• 41:21
  cost
• 41:21
  you
• 41:22
  hundreds
• 41:22
  of
• 41:22
  thousands
• 41:22
  of
• 41:23
  dollars
• 41:23
  because
• 41:23
  you
• 41:23
  don't
• 41:24
  have
• 41:24
  workers
• 41:24
  compensation
• 41:25
  for
• 41:25
  those
• 41:25
  people.
• 41:26
  And
• 41:27
  your
• 41:27
  homeowner's
• 41:27
  insurance
• 41:28
  probably
• 41:28
  isn't
• 41:29
  going
• 41:29
  to
• 41:29
  cover
• 41:29
  that
• 41:30
  because
• 41:30
  they
• 41:30
  were
• 41:31
  employees.
• 41:31
  It
• 41:31
  wasn't
• 41:32
  like
• 41:32
  it
• 41:32
  was
• 41:32
  your
• 41:32
  guest
• 41:32
  that
• 41:33
  tripped
• 41:33
  on
• 41:33
  the
• 41:33
  sidewalk
• 41:34
  out
• 41:34
  front.
• 41:34
  Get
• 41:34
  your
• 41:35
  quotes
• 41:35
  and
• 41:35
  make
• 41:36
  sure
• 41:36
  that
• 41:36
  everybody's
• 41:37
  looking
• 41:37
  at
• 41:37
  it
• 41:37
  equally.
• 41:38
  Compare
• 41:38
  how
• 41:39
  much
• 41:39
  roofing
• 41:39
  they
• 41:39
  have.
• 41:40
  You
• 41:40
  know,
• 41:40
  look
• 41:41
  at
• 41:41
  the
• 41:41
  itemized
• 41:42
  bid.
• 41:42
  What
• 41:43
  type
• 41:43
  of
• 41:43
  nails
• 41:43
  are
• 41:43
  you
• 41:44
  doing?
• 41:44
  You
• 41:44
  know,
• 41:44
  all
• 41:44
  these
• 41:45
  details.
• 41:45
  I
• 41:45
  want
• 41:45
  to
• 41:45
  make
• 41:46
  sure
• 41:46
  that
• 41:46
  they're
• 41:46
  doing
• 41:46
  all
• 41:46
  the
• 41:46
  new
• 41:47
  metals,
• 41:47
  all
• 41:48
  the
• 41:48
  new
• 41:48
  sheet
• 41:48
  metals,
• 41:49
  all
• 41:49
  the
• 41:49
  ice
• 41:49
  and
• 41:50
  water
• 41:50
  shields,
• 41:50
  all
• 41:50
  the
• 41:50
  stuff
• 41:51
  to
• 41:51
  do
• 41:51
  it
• 41:51
  correctly.
• 41:52
  And
• 41:52
  that's
• 41:52
  going
• 41:52
  to
• 41:52
  save
• 41:52
  you
• 41:53
  some
• 41:53
  money
• 41:53
  in
• 41:53
  the
• 41:53
  long
• 41:53
  run
• 41:54
  because
• 41:54
  you
• 41:54
  only
• 41:54
  want
• 41:54
  to
• 41:54
  do
• 41:54
  this
• 41:55
  once.
• 41:55
  And
• 41:56
  when
• 41:56
  you
• 41:56
  can
• 41:56
  spend
• 41:57
  25
• 41:57
  to
• 41:57
  35,000
• 41:58
  bucks
• 41:59
  on
• 41:59
  a,
• 42:00
  on
• 42:00
  a
• 42:00
  roof
• 42:00
  really
• 42:01
  quickly
• 42:01
  without
• 42:01
  getting
• 42:02
  into
• 42:02
  metal,
• 42:02
  without
• 42:02
  getting
• 42:03
  into
• 42:04
  some
• 42:04
  of
• 42:04
  the
• 42:04
  other
• 42:04
  concrete
• 42:05
  products
• 42:05
  or
• 42:06
  tile
• 42:06
  products
• 42:07
  out
• 42:07
  there,
• 42:07
  or
• 42:08
  the
• 42:08
  rubber
• 42:09
  or
• 42:09
  any
• 42:09
  of
• 42:09
  those
• 42:09
  other
• 42:10
  specialty
• 42:10
  ones
• 42:10
  like
• 42:11
  slate,
• 42:11
  these
• 42:12
  are
• 42:12
  things
• 42:12
  that
• 42:12
  you
• 42:12
  want
• 42:13
  to
• 42:13
  make
• 42:13
  sure
• 42:13
  that
• 42:13
  you've
• 42:13
  got
• 42:13
  that
• 42:14
  dialed
• 42:14
  in
• 42:14
  and
• 42:14
  it's
• 42:15
  going
• 42:15
  to
• 42:15
  save
• 42:15
  you
• 42:15
  some
• 42:16
  serious
• 42:16
  money
• 42:17
  in
• 42:17
  the
• 42:17
  long
• 42:17
  run
• 42:18
  that
• 42:18
  you
• 42:18
  can
• 42:19
  do
• 42:19
  at
• 42:19
  once.
• 42:20
  And
• 42:20
  then
• 42:20
  next
• 42:20
  of
• 42:21
  all,
• 42:21
  when
• 42:21
  you
• 42:22
  go
• 42:22
  through
• 42:22
  this,
• 42:23
  make
• 42:23
  sure
• 42:23
  that
• 42:23
  get
• 42:24
  somebody
• 42:24
  up
• 42:24
  there
• 42:24
  to
• 42:25
  take
• 42:25
  a
• 42:25
  look
• 42:25
  at
• 42:25
  it.
• 42:26
  If
• 42:26
  you're
• 42:26
  not
• 42:27
  comfortable
• 42:27
  getting
• 42:27
  on
• 42:27
  the
• 42:28
  roof,
• 42:28
  have
• 42:29
  somebody
• 42:29
  go
• 42:29
  up
• 42:29
  there
• 42:30
  that
• 42:30
  you
• 42:30
  trust.
• 42:31
  Maybe
• 42:31
  it's
• 42:31
  another
• 42:31
  contractor
• 42:32
  friend,
• 42:33
  maybe
• 42:33
  it's
• 42:33
  an
• 42:33
  inspector
• 42:34
  in
• 42:34
  your
• 42:34
  area.
• 42:35
  Efforts,
• 42:36
  after
• 42:36
  it's
• 42:36
  done,
• 42:37
  have
• 42:37
  an
• 42:37
  inspection
• 42:38
  go
• 42:38
  up
• 42:38
  there.
• 42:39
  Whether
• 42:39
  it's
• 42:39
  your
• 42:40
  building
• 42:40
  inspector.
• 42:41
  My
• 42:41
  area,
• 42:41
  it's
• 42:41
  not
• 42:42
  required,
• 42:42
  but
• 42:43
  if
• 42:43
  you
• 42:43
  have
• 42:43
  one,
• 42:43
  that's
• 42:44
  awesome.
• 42:45
  And
• 42:45
  then
• 42:45
  make
• 42:45
  sure
• 42:46
  that
• 42:46
  you
• 42:46
  have
• 42:46
  somebody
• 42:46
  go
• 42:47
  up
• 42:47
  there.
• 42:47
  You
• 42:47
  can
• 42:47
  hire
• 42:48
  building
• 42:48
  inspectors
• 42:48
  to
• 42:49
  go
• 42:49
  up
• 42:49
  there
• 42:49
  to
• 42:50
  do
• 42:50
  it
• 42:50
  independently.
• 42:51
  If
• 42:51
  you're
• 42:51
  not
• 42:52
  comfortable,
• 42:52
  get
• 42:52
  them
• 42:52
  on
• 42:53
  the
• 42:53
  roof
• 42:53
  and
• 42:53
  make
• 42:53
  sure
• 42:53
  it's
• 42:54
  done
• 42:54
  correctly.
• 42:55
  And
• 42:55
  that's
• 42:55
  going
• 42:55
  to
• 42:55
  make
• 42:56
  sure
• 42:56
  that
• 42:56
  styled
• 42:56
  in.
• 42:57
  Just
• 42:57
  have
• 42:57
  that
• 42:57
  once
• 42:58
  over
• 42:58
  to
• 42:59
  make
• 42:59
  sure
• 42:59
  you're
• 42:59
  good
• 42:59
  to
• 42:59
  go.
• 43:00
  Because
• 43:00
  so
• 43:00
  many
• 43:00
  times
• 43:00
  I
• 43:01
  get
• 43:01
  up
• 43:01
  on
• 43:01
  a
• 43:01
  brand
• 43:01
  new
• 43:01
  roof
• 43:02
  and
• 43:03
  that
• 43:03
  new
• 43:03
  guy
• 43:04
  missed
• 43:04
  a
• 43:04
  spot
• 43:05
  and
• 43:05
  maybe
• 43:05
  the
• 43:06
  owner
• 43:06
  of
• 43:06
  the
• 43:06
  company
• 43:06
  hasn't
• 43:07
  walked,
• 43:07
  it
• 43:07
  didn't
• 43:08
  make
• 43:08
  it
• 43:08
  up
• 43:08
  there.
• 43:09
  And
• 43:09
  oh,
• 43:09
  it's
• 43:10
  beautiful.
• 43:10
  It's
• 43:10
  good.
• 43:10
  They
• 43:10
  walk
• 43:11
  around,
• 43:11
  the
• 43:11
  outside
• 43:11
  looks
• 43:12
  good,
• 43:12
  but
• 43:12
  then
• 43:12
  they
• 43:12
  realize
• 43:13
  that,
• 43:13
  wow,
• 43:13
  okay,
• 43:14
  you
• 43:14
  made
• 43:14
  some
• 43:14
  mistakes
• 43:15
  here.
• 43:15
  It
• 43:16
  happens.
• 43:17
  It
• 43:17
  happens
• 43:17
  to
• 43:17
  great
• 43:18
  contractors.
• 43:19
  So
• 43:19
  take
• 43:19
  a
• 43:19
  look
• 43:20
  at
• 43:20
  that
• 43:20
  and
• 43:20
  make
• 43:20
  sure
• 43:20
  you've
• 43:21
  got
• 43:21
  it
• 43:21
  dialed
• 43:21
  in.
• 43:22
  And
• 43:22
  then
• 43:23
  if
• 43:23
  you're
• 43:23
  in
• 43:23
  an
• 43:23
  area
• 43:23
  that
• 43:24
  has
• 43:24
  wind,
• 43:24
  hurricanes,
• 43:26
  any
• 43:26
  of
• 43:26
  that
• 43:26
  stuff,
• 43:27
  take
• 43:27
  a
• 43:27
  look
• 43:28
  at
• 43:28
  the
• 43:29
  fortified
• 43:29
  roof
• 43:30
  program
• 43:30
  out
• 43:30
  there.
• 43:31
  I'm
• 43:31
  going
• 43:31
  to
• 43:31
  do
• 43:31
  that.
• 43:32
  I
• 43:32
  think
• 43:32
  I
• 43:32
  want
• 43:32
  to
• 43:32
  do
• 43:32
  that.
• 43:33
  So
• 43:33
  I
• 43:33
  have
• 43:33
  something
• 43:34
  that's
• 43:34
  going
• 43:34
  to
• 43:34
  hold
• 43:35
  up
• 43:35
  to
• 43:35
  our
• 43:35
  windstorms
• 43:36
  and
• 43:37
  all
• 43:37
  of
• 43:37
  our
• 43:37
  stuff
• 43:37
  here
• 43:38
  to
• 43:38
  make
• 43:38
  sure
• 43:38
  that
• 43:38
  it's
• 43:38
  going
• 43:38
  to
• 43:38
  be
• 43:39
  good
• 43:39
  to
• 43:39
  go
• 43:39
  for
• 43:40
  years
• 43:40
  to
• 43:40
  come.
• 43:41
  All
• 43:42
  right,
• 43:42
  everybody,
• 43:43
