- 1:04SPEAKER_00: So let's have a talk.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: And we believe that we are a little before the top of the hour.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Giving us a couple of minutes to just say thank you to those again who ministers to our hearts day in and day out.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: We are very grateful to God for their labors.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: We thank each one of you, listeners, and it is our prayer that you join with us in praise of our God for enabling us to present as He purposes.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Over the course of the last nine months, weekly talks.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: But it is also our prayer, my friends, as we end one season and prepare for a new according to God's will, that you continue to join in and listen and tell a friend to the previous talks.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: There are many, though we have not yet numbered them, and it is our prayer that they will be presented in order, that we will continue to be blessed from them.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: We are very grateful to the family of Dr.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Martin Luther King.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Continual prayers for them as they witness still the great work that God had presented to the world with their father, their mother, and thus their lives as well.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Grateful for the opportunity of being blessed with the book.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Where do we go from him here?
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: His last writings is our understanding.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: And the basis of several conversations to help us or talks to help us along the way.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: We are grateful for every one of the ministers of song.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: We are going a little deep, and then we present to you by the talk that is entitled.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I pray that you are very comfortable.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: I've had my little tea this morning.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I'm very grateful to that for that.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: I call it my because I kind of make it myself.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: And so, my friends, I hope you have also.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: But he does have a first, a middle, and Lewis is his last name.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: His great works, controversial, but we're gonna get to that.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Contrastingly, he and another man who again contrastingly was laid on our hearts to reflect upon the the perplexity of his personhood, the man who his name we came to know as prince, a man of song and of many lyrics, and thus gives us a song that provokes us to reflect upon something that's simple but very yet complex.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: So that was entitled, that is entitled When Doves Cry.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Our premise of this talk, though I'm not sure if I will recite any scriptures except for this.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Lewis, though his writes, his writings were and works were many, that includes many discussions on science and Christianity, belief, and even on cultural things.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: God has presented to us the contrasts of these two individuals to take us through our conversation today.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Our conversation is centered, of course, on the biblical texts and narratives that lets us know that it really answers the question if we hear the dove's cry.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: It answers that question because doth not wisdom cry out and Solomon writes and left thus left many works of contrasts, comparisons, perplexities and simplicities of the simple question that begins with Proverbs that begins the proverb number eight.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: C.S.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Lewis continue works continue to bless us deeply rooted in the proverbs of Solomon as well as the songs.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: For in it and if God when God takes us to that place in maturity, which has been the foundation of the inspiration for our talks.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Simply put, God is desiring for us to grow up.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: And how do we do that, my friends?
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: C.S.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Lewis, born at an end of a century, where religion was being questioned, and thus I think God took him to a place of questioning his belief and his faith.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: But he took him to a point where he wrote something that says the surprise of joy.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: That's just a little side note, you all.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Because that also is what I believe that God took him.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: The needed place.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Thus we find who God is.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: There's a rhythm to them.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Written by those of Judah, the tribe of Judah, who God encharged some of his descendants to be over the ministry of ministering and song and praise to God.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: And thus, of course, David, the king, also was gifted from birth in the area of song and ministering of song, and thus he was used to console the spirit of then King Saul, who was very troubled, my friends.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Towards the end of his life, that's King Saul.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: David was called to soothe him.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: And this is another complexity of the simplicity of wisdom.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: God uses his king to console the troubled king that the people chose, used his king early on when he called him, an anointed as king.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: But that was a time of preparation, and a time if anyone would want to go there of God developing compassion in the heart of the shepherd.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: So that's contrasts.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: Many of the cries out to God, when life becomes very difficult and confusing, when God has pronounced one thing yet, the floodgates of another open up and also envelop each one of us.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: So this chat or this talk in the elusiveness of the dove's cry is about you and me and us and thus our God and the wisdom of him stepping down and the lowliness and stepping down means that he came in birth and he decided to put aside all of the robe and garments that includes or go with the title of King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and at the time of which the dichotomy of the perplexity of the event that God presented for you and me and thus to understand the dove's cry and he is presented amiss some enlightened ones at that time as he enters the city called peace right before what was he being adorned with their praise To them am I riding on a donkey?
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Behold there lies the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord being presented to the city of God.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: The dove's cry and that presentment of the complexities of what God proclaims and he is going and presented right before.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Those same cries were very shouted and very loud, requiring and requesting that he be crucified.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: A death of the of those rulers of the world, so to speak.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Great Empire, those Romans one that was for traitors, rebels that is the complexities of what is required that confuses us so much.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: But then does not God's wisdom confound those who believe they are wise?
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: That's so.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: And sometimes he takes us around that corner, you all you know, and of course, the immenseness of the greatness of our God is our conversation, is the end result.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Well my friends are also take us to a place where you and me and thus us are no longer who we believe ourselves to be.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: And thus death not wisdom cry out.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: I have to say that that one thing that is an enormous gift of God I'm learning.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: This thing about wisdom, knowing how to no man can tame his tongue.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Peter says that.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: I believe Peter says, no man.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Then so the magnificence of God creature that he named a horse, and statue and strength and resolve, and a quickness, fortitude, lowliness or humbleness, being able to allow something to tame it, and thus ride it and guide it and direct.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Alas to have blinders on my friends.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: A great gift of God that is presented to each one of us.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: But then C.S.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Lewis was born at a time, and thus was his understanding of his faith was greatly impacted by the mass of the assemblies and the gathering.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And what that all meant, and God was taking the belief, the faith, the growing up of his people to a place from the massist to individuality.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Because at once the mass has required us to lose our individuality to find oneself.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: C.S.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: Lewis at that point was greatly impacted.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: It's my understanding.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I am not an expert on C.S.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Lewis, except his works are still blessing many, including myself.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: And the blessings and his gifting from God are very far reaching and very broad.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: They let you know how far God took him, how far he went for God to take him to the place of understanding, the surprise of joy, my friends.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: And the surprise of joy is understanding the unspeakableness of it.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: And doth not wisdom cry out to you all?
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: You just can't quite explain in that great measure of the attribute of the joy of God.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: And unfortunately, man has taken that little bit that God has blessed initially and put it and translate or interpreted it as either I'm okay, you're okay, or um everything is going to work out okay.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: It's almost like it really is not, and that is the cry, the elusiveness of the dove's cry.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: And that elusiveness, my friends, is also the complexity biblically, and the contrasts of this thing called wisdom, and this thing called strength, and this thing or this creature that we become anew.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Because it's about you and me and us.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: But then, oh my friends, it's all about God and his son Jesus Christ.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: We speak of God, we speak of the triune God, the persons of God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and thus the dove, and doth not wisdom cry out.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: And who has ever heard the cry of doves?
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: We're speaking of the dove, the symbolism of the Holy Spirit, who was there in the beginning when the heavens were created, my friends, and by that elusiveness of wisdom of God, both heaven and earth were created.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: And then in the place that Solomon reached, he presents to us the contrast of having a little bit of wisdom and distinguishing it from foolishness, my friends.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: But there's one thing that girds up all of the proverbs that Solomon writes, and that is the higher that we go in God as we mature, yield, the bigger seemingly we get in what God has given us to carry, we become very, very elusive and invisible.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: And the great and large and wide expanse of the greatness of God.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: Points to the greatness of God and speaks of the dove's cry.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: For I was blessed, and I do refer in honor of my mom who my mother, our mother, guarding our family.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: God spoke one time and it was not audible, and I began to hear the elusiveness of the dove's cry.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: And in the gift of wisdom God had blessed her with and opened my eyes to see and hear.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: Because at the corner where there are many passing by, crossing is the shout of the dove's cry.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Wisdom stands shouting at the intersection.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: Then many continue and pass by and can't hear it.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: It takes God to sit us down and to say and to get to where we're going.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: For us to see who we are, this new creature.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: For the world, and our bigness and in our enlargement that God presents or enables us to seemingly reach.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: If we look up mine, we end up, it's my prayer that they don't see us at all.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: They begin to see the greatness of the triumph God who decided to meet you, me and us here in the realm where he sent his dove, his Holy Spirit, and doth not it cry out at the intersection of passers by.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: And in that crying out, which I had learnt, my mother, I saw love at the point where even a sibling's to get a sibling to love himself or herself.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Grandchildren, because that dove's cry was love.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: But then I saw the shrinking of my mother as love began to become enlarged, to unfold upon individuals so they may love themselves as God has loved them.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: And thus I pray also, I believe also, it was her prayer, so that God, that it would touch, so that God can show each one of us who we really are, as God had created us, and we were in his mind from the beginning, you all.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: In that strength, in the weakness of the point of hearing the anger, hearing safe self-anger, self-hatred, hearing the despair of life.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: Mothers are given mostly that charge, but then the cry of the dove allows the love of God to invoke and thus become and touch one that is needed so.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: So that God had opened my eyes to see the step of what was given to her, to hear love, you all, and seeing it, and thus, and the shrinking of herself, so her love would pour out that God had given, and the wisdom I heard, the shout of wisdom, and heard the voice of the doves cry.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: This is a point where we are, as God continues to illuminate our talk, you all.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: So it is not intended to speak in roundabouts, but it is very purpose and is direction, you all.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: That there is a point in time when that old thing of God, that that thing that God allowed and poured upon all of us, and then it is our prayer that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is still overflowing you all.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: For this is the lucidness of the dove's cry.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: It's getting to a point of not knowing that he's much needed.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: In every aspect of life, you all, that wisdom of God that requires us to die, though proclaiming us to be something, to die of that thing man before we ever reach to it, to die of it before God brings you into it.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: That's the devil's cry.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: So C.S.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: Lewis on roundabout and Narvana or Narva to other cultures to see what religion is all about and finding the individuality of self and thus roundabout way to get to God was very, very gifted you all, in looking and finding God in the so-called man science, written many about the cultures and entered into the quirkiness, though was educated at Oxford and Cambridge, you all.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: The quirkiness of the wisdom's crack, man.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: And it's not Keshara Sarah at all.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: Though there are points in time one may be right in saying that.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: And he will go to death, believing that there is not a God.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: And foolish fools have much chatter.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you've ever been blessed to see the contrast or witness a fool you are.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we believe it's in their outward actions of the inward confusion, but not necessarily so you all.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: So doth not wisdom cry out, you all does it not stand in the corner where it's very busy, speaking to so-called opening ears, not knowing if the ears hear at all are hearing at all, speaking to whomever God wants to perk the ears, speaking to you and me, so that whatever we may have gained of being all puffed up can burst and thus die.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: And then become very large, seemingly, and as we reach those heights, we become just little tiny dots in the expanse of God, meaning whatever God has given us to do, that it all points back to Him, you are, that trial God.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: And thus that dove that God has given us.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: There is a time where it's not gonna be with us, you are.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: Because he is also guarding and keeping us.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: From being exposed at the place where we are, where there's great evil you are.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: And the contrast of wisdom is knowing when to speak and knowing the strength of silence amongst great wis great wickedness you are.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: A place of complete evil and wickedness and evil sometimes we just think of demons.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: Now wisdom tells us contentiousness is there.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: Whenever there's contention, man, there is wisdom of evil.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: You all there is evil.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: So that is some of the elusiveness and the comparisons and the contrasts of the dove's cry.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: And it requires hearing and silence because it shouts out very loud, you all.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: And in that, my friends, we are going to leave you, and I pray that you continue on with listening to all the talks, you all, for this is the end of the first season, and we have been greatly blessed, you all.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: I we pray that God continues to bless and revisiting any replay that He has allowed for us to hear again.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: And then we pray that we continue in great prayer for one another and begin to continue with that reaching and doing the impossible, the perpetual doing of walking in that spirit of God you are.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: For thus lies the confounds of God's wisdom and knowing how to respond in every situation you are.
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: That is the cry also of the dove, and interpreting and hearing the wisdom of God, yeah, and knowing that it confounds what we think it is, and it does not act and respond the way we generally in ourselves would think it should.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: But if we allow and hear, and in our silence, God, we will see the greatness of God and see great strength, you all.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: So it is our prayer as we conclude this talk that God continues to bless us.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: For truly, God knows what each one of us have need of.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: And we pray that we pray for one another, man.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: To reach the point that God has desired for each one, for each one of our family members.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: To hold on, to remain steadfast.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: Continue to know the great mercies even when we're turned around.
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: Even when sometimes the sting of our adversary gets that bites.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: That we still hold on and know that there lies that strength of God when we call on his name.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: We pray for everyone, you all.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: So, my friends, we pray that you are continually blessed, and that God will lead us to hear and rehear as He purposes for each one of us.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: And until that next time, God says for us to talk, we pray that you'll join us and you sit down.
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: And you let all of us hear what God has to say, my friends.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: And until then, be blessed, my friends.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: This is Vicki.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: Goodbye.
