- 0:01Happy Saturday morning, everybody.
- 0:07I'm going to show you what's going on right here in St.
- 0:10Louis, MO. There it is.
- 0:13We have had rain all night long. It's 49°.
- 0:20And and look at Louie. Look at Louie over there.
- 0:23He's like, I don't want anything to do with none of this.
- 0:27And look at Lucy right here. Look at that.
- 0:33And last but not least, look at me.
- 0:39It's cold, 49°. It's 8:10 in the morning, 8:10
- 0:45in the morning, and I got the fire on.
- 0:51And what is it? April 7th?
- 0:54I don't know what date it is. It's in the middle of April.
- 0:57So this is God's reminder it's not summer yet.
- 1:03It it could be where you're at. Oh, yeah.
- 1:05And we've done all that. We've already had the 95° here.
- 1:09It's 95°. Let's open the swimming pool up.
- 1:12We do it every year. We're dumb.
- 1:16Oh, it's so hot. We do it every year.
- 1:18We open the pull up. So tomorrow morning, on
- 1:22Saturday, supposed to be in the 30s.
- 1:25God's way of reminding you it's not summer yet.
- 1:32I think that was my monologue. OK, It was a great night last
- 1:37night. It was my ninth race of the
- 1:41year, but it was my first race in my new Mobile 1 dirt car.
- 1:47By the way, a lot of people want to know what kind of oil I run
- 1:51in that Mobile 1 dirt car. I run zero 50 racing oil.
- 1:57That's important to know racing oil.
- 2:01I think it's got a little, you know, I'm looking at the weather
- 2:04here. Looks like we got something
- 2:07coming in Friday or Saturday, but I don't know.
- 2:11It's got a little more zinc in it, I think respond right here.
- 2:15Let me know Google it chat GP. Hey watch, hey, ChatGPT, why is
- 2:22racing oil different than normal car passenger oil?
- 2:29Boom. It tell you everything.
- 2:32I love it. John Skatoni, my buddy, we're
- 2:36over there in Europe and you know, there's so much we wanted
- 2:39to know. And John, you know, you, you,
- 2:42you can get the cheap Jack Jack GPT free and you just got it.
- 2:49Going to go ChatGPT. Tell me why, you know.
- 2:54But anyway, yeah, Zero 50 almost forgot what I was talking about.
- 3:04So that's what we run and it's great motor oil.
- 3:06Like I told you yesterday, the new coffee mugs will be coming
- 3:10in. They're not in yet, but we're
- 3:13going to order them today. I'm going to call, I'm going to
- 3:16call R&R up my souvenir company over there in Valley Park, MO
- 3:21Going to call Neil Quick. He's a salesman.
- 3:24And of course Phil right out owns R&R.
- 3:28And we'll go. OK, let's let's start the, the
- 3:30new mobile one. Coffee mugs.
- 3:34I think we're going to keep some Sunoco coffee mugs on hand
- 3:38because people like to collect a coffee mug maybe one a year.
- 3:42You know, you open up my cupboard up there and I got all
- 3:44types of coffee mugs. So yeah, this has been a hit and
- 3:51I want to thank you all so much. But yeah, shop kennywallace.com
- 3:55and we got T-shirts, The Coffee with Kenny T-shirts look just
- 4:00like that. And of course we got the decals
- 4:02that look just like that. And we got the we got the Ghost
- 4:07line, which people like the ghost line.
- 4:09It's the T-shirt, the hoodie that got just one color.
- 4:15It's a, you know, so everything is black but with Gray,
- 4:18something nice to go out and eat in, you know.
- 4:24OK, so we won last night. It was exciting.
- 4:27It was a great start to the year and couldn't get any better.
- 4:35Started third in our heat and we won that put me They go by
- 4:40passing points. We won the A main from the pole,
- 4:47of course, like Schrader says. Where'd you start, Herman?
- 4:50I said on the pole, well, you better win.
- 4:53I'm like, buddy, there's some fast race car drivers here.
- 4:58You got the great Rick Canoyer, who I had to go against last
- 5:02year for the championship. You got probably our fastest
- 5:06race car driver in the Midwest right now, Trev Jacoby.
- 5:10You got the Stein King family, Owen Stein King and forgot the
- 5:15other one, two Stein Kings. They're fast.
- 5:18But yeah, you know, it's just like anywhere, any local
- 5:21racetrack, you're going to have heroes.
- 5:25You know, this is a perfect time for me to remind you all some
- 5:30fun I had with the great Dale Senior when motorhomes became a
- 5:35thing in NASCAR. I mean, you know, we, we were,
- 5:37we were putting 200,000 people, you know, in these race tracks
- 5:42at Charlotte, you know, Motor Speedway and of course Daytona
- 5:47and Talladega. But the motorhomes came and
- 5:50Earnhardt said, Herman, I'm going to pick you up in my
- 5:52motorhome. Let's go to Darlington together.
- 5:54I'm like, I mean, man, my heart was pounding.
- 5:57Just me and Dale senior went to Darlington and we got to talking
- 6:05and I reminded you all of this, but I'm just telling you exactly
- 6:08when it happened. So Earnhardt picks me up.
- 6:10I'm living, Kim and I and our kids were living in a Oakwood
- 6:15that was the brand, a double wide mobile home.
- 6:17Loved it. And Earnhardt pulls around our
- 6:21driveway, picks me up. There I am.
- 6:24We're headed to Darlington, the Southern 500, the track that's
- 6:28too tough to tame. We get to talking and he taught
- 6:33me a lesson, something I'll never forget.
- 6:35He said, Herman, there are thousands of great race car
- 6:40drivers all over America. They can't all be NASCAR.
- 6:46And, and that and I tell you all, and I just a reminder for
- 6:49some people that have never listened, every time I line up
- 6:52at these local dirt tracks, I mean, there they are just like
- 6:57Earnhardt said. And and also Earnhardt said,
- 7:00look, there's only 40 starting spots or however many we had
- 7:05back in the day. They all can't be NASCAR.
- 7:11You know, that's a whole nother subject right there.
- 7:12I find some people get angry. Some people get mad because
- 7:17they're not NASCAR, you know. Well, I'm not angry and I'm not
- 7:22mad, but I wanted to be. I tell you all the time, I
- 7:25wanted to be Jeff Gordon. But I'm very thankful for my
- 7:29life. You know, I'm happier than I've
- 7:31ever been at 62 years old. I guess all the bulls over, you
- 7:37know, every time I say that word, I think of I think of the
- 7:42great John Force. Hey, John, what makes you stand
- 7:47out above all the other drivers? Bullshit.
- 7:52I got a lot of bullshit. So I'm happy, super happy.
- 8:02Yeah, it's a whole another subject.
- 8:03I'll go about another minute listening to somebody.
- 8:10Last night I was getting ready to go to bed, but I was
- 8:12scrolling social media, laying in bed.
- 8:16God, it was somebody important. They said the biggest surprise,
- 8:20Oh, it was Travis Pastrana. Travis Pastrana.
- 8:24I was watching a little thing on Instagram.
- 8:26I think maybe he was being interviewed by Brian Deegan.
- 8:30You know, Brian Deegan started Metal Militia, come to find out,
- 8:33I thought it was a real rivalry, but they both pretend they hate
- 8:37each other. Brian Deegan and Travis
- 8:41Pastrana. But Pastrana said when he was
- 8:44motocross and he'd lined up on the on the gate, felt like he
- 8:47could win, became miserable over worrying about everything.
- 8:52And but he, he, he, he taught a valuable lesson.
- 8:58And I, and I've heard this out of Aaron Rodgers and other great
- 9:01athletes, there's a sense of misery required to win.
- 9:09You know, you can't be happy. You have to be focused.
- 9:12But Pastrana said he wasn't having any fun when he was
- 9:14motocrossing, you know, for the win for, you know, real
- 9:17motocrossing racing, not not the X Games.
- 9:22But I hear that out of more athletes, the misery that is
- 9:26required to be great. I was miserable.
- 9:33I was miserable NASCAR, because I wasn't very good.
- 9:37And now here I am in my retirement years, just I'm so
- 9:41happy I got a wonderful family, 6 grandbabies and Lila.
- 9:47Every day I go to the shop, I just say I'm going to go to
- 9:50lunch and little, little Lila, 2 years old, I go Poppy, I go,
- 9:56Yep, you're going there I am. Put her in the put her in the
- 10:00baby chair in the back of the truck.
- 10:03All right, everybody so much more to talk about, but we keep
- 10:06it well, 10 minutes already. All right, remember shop
- 10:10kennywallace.com. Get yourself a coffee with Kenny
- 10:13T-shirt and a mug and we'll get the mobile 1 stuff out soon,
- 10:18maybe two weeks. We'll get the new coffee mug,
- 10:21the new racing shirt. Until then, have a great
- 10:25weekend.
