- 0:01Speaker 1: The plays Inconfused.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Podcast is rated M from marijuana no miners, but your
- 0:05Speaker 2: audience is only.
- 0:08Speaker 1: So.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I had the Z ninety five dream last night that
- 0:13Speaker 2: you're on the air and everything fucks up. Oh no,
- 0:15Speaker 2: I've lived the dream though, where where everything just also
- 0:20Speaker 2: hundreds of times we're live on the air. I mean
- 0:22Speaker 2: I did so many live shows over the years where
- 0:24Speaker 2: things just go wrong.
- 0:27Speaker 1: You can't help it.
- 0:28Speaker 2: From when there were cartridges just break on you to
- 0:32Speaker 2: a CD that would skip and skip and skip.
- 0:35Speaker 3: How do you handle situation like that? Laugh it off?
- 0:38Speaker 1: What else?
- 0:39Speaker 4: You know?
- 0:39Speaker 1: You go fuck?
- 0:40Speaker 3: Some people can panic and just make it obviously awkward,
- 0:43Speaker 3: or they can, you know, make a bit out of it.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I think maybe the first time when that happened to me,
- 0:48Speaker 2: I just got really scared. It's I'm going to die here.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And then then it became commonplace. I mean I could
- 0:54Speaker 2: show you guys a picture. I mean, the last year
- 0:57Speaker 2: I worked there, one of our CD players never worked right,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and we had a home CD player on top of
- 1:02Speaker 2: a computer paper box, yeah, and a ninety nine ninety
- 1:06Speaker 2: five CD player that was like shit. We used to
- 1:09Speaker 2: make fun of it all the time, but it was
- 1:10Speaker 2: the only one that worked. You know, the twelve hundred
- 1:12Speaker 2: dollars technique. CD players used to fail all the time.
- 1:16Speaker 2: But here's this thing on this fucking box and it works.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So how can you argue it?
- 1:20Speaker 3: How often do you have a dream like that? I
- 1:22Speaker 3: haven't had that dream in years, So it's a sign
- 1:24Speaker 3: for today. Oh absolutely happens to the best of us.
- 1:28Speaker 5: I'll tell you the last time I had one of
- 1:30Speaker 5: those oh my god, what the hell is happening moments?
- 1:33Speaker 5: Alive in the air, it was the last time we
- 1:34Speaker 5: did a world premiere with new Papa Roach Music. I
- 1:38Speaker 5: talked into it and then I guess I double clicked
- 1:41Speaker 5: the button going into it, and then the next thing
- 1:43Speaker 5: you knew the new song, the imaging going into the song,
- 1:46Speaker 5: and like four commercials were all playing at the same time.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It was great.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It was one of those moments where you just had
- 1:54Speaker 3: you just kind of had to step back and say, oh, okay, well,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I have no idea, what's happening.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I don't know, And I have a question for you.
- 2:02Speaker 2: The new music that you're doing. Does it appeal to you?
- 2:05Speaker 2: Does it suck? Is it in between?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah? Some of it's great, some of it's not.
- 2:10Speaker 2: One of the two streaming stations. I do katie X
- 2:13Speaker 2: Rock Radio. He just changed the format last Monday, took
- 2:17Speaker 2: all the classic rock out of it. So now he's
- 2:19Speaker 2: playing all new ship. Oh Mike, he's leaving us. Have
- 2:21Speaker 2: a nice day. Have a nice day, Becker, go fuck yourself,
- 2:27Speaker 2: you know. Oh well yeah?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Does he make you roll all the time? Yeah, I don't.
- 2:34Speaker 1: They're cones, you just yeah, they're neat. I like them.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I can tell you, man, I love the smell
- 2:39Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, yeah, that's I miss that.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Well, let me ask you this right now. Does it
- 2:44Speaker 5: smell like marijuana in this barbarous not?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 2:47Speaker 2: No, it didn't, thank you. My house used to smell
- 2:49Speaker 2: like pot when I was smoking all the time.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I smoke all the time. In there. His MIC's
- 2:53Speaker 1: falling down.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I didn't even notice. I noticed, because if you're getting quiet,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I gotta get.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I gotta get new mic stands. I have one if
- 3:05Speaker 1: you want.
- 3:05Speaker 3: It's gonna be one laying around the radio station somewhere.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we should really get a look at this.
- 3:11Speaker 1: My penis is falling again.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Yeah, you need your microphone needs viagris though, I know
- 3:18Speaker 5: that's the thing.
- 3:19Speaker 3: The thing's broken on it. They're expensive, though, dude, everything's expensive.
- 3:23Speaker 3: So let me ask you this, what's the most amount
- 3:26Speaker 3: of money you would spend on a pair of sunglasses?
- 3:30Speaker 3: The most expensive pair I own to this day, they
- 3:33Speaker 3: were about two hundred and fifty bucks.
- 3:34Speaker 1: What did you do? What did you do? He spent
- 3:38Speaker 1: eight hundred? Did you buy like meta? No? No, no, god, no, no,
- 3:42Speaker 1: all right.
- 3:43Speaker 6: No.
- 3:43Speaker 5: However, those are very scary because I keep seeing social
- 3:46Speaker 5: media videos like tiktoks, you know, these fucking kids they
- 3:50Speaker 5: go in the stores and they're recording everybody with these
- 3:53Speaker 5: fucking glasses, and nobody has any idea that they're being
- 3:56Speaker 5: recorded because they just look like regular glasses, but they
- 3:59Speaker 5: have cameras on them.
- 4:00Speaker 3: It's kind of scary. Yeah, it's a little weird. It's
- 4:02Speaker 3: a little weird. I wouldn't get I wouldn't get those glasses.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I think they also look kind of nerdy and stupid.
- 4:07Speaker 3: What do they even call them? VR glasses?
- 4:09Speaker 1: No?
- 4:10Speaker 5: Virtual reality, you know, like the smart fucking glasses or whatever.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Smart specs, this is what they should be called.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Smart spicks. Yeah. No, I did not buy those.
- 4:19Speaker 5: So when I was in California back in February, I
- 4:22Speaker 5: forgot to bring sunglasses or something, or I broke my sunglasses.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:26Speaker 5: So you know me, I like the sunglasses with the
- 4:30Speaker 5: white rims on the outside. I like the white, the
- 4:32Speaker 5: white sunglasses. So when I was on Venice Beach, they
- 4:36Speaker 5: don't have like a boardwalk there. It's like McAdam, it's weird.
- 4:40Speaker 5: But I were walking, walk and walk and walking, and
- 4:42Speaker 5: here's like this very very very expensive sunglasses store.
- 4:45Speaker 1: So I'm walking in here and I'm.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Looking looking and come across these really nice white sunglasses
- 4:51Speaker 5: that I really liked, that I really wanted.
- 4:53Speaker 3: All right, So when you asked me, yeah, the most
- 4:56Speaker 3: I've spent on sunglasses, I said about two hundred fifty
- 4:59Speaker 3: bucks And you went, so what did you do? What
- 5:02Speaker 3: wouldn't your financial advisor. I'm happy about I bought them.
- 5:06Speaker 3: How much were they about?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Four?
- 5:07Speaker 3: That's not bad, it's not so terrible. I thought they're
- 5:10Speaker 3: gonna be like a grand No, no, I said eight hundred.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Oh.
- 5:13Speaker 5: So the best part about oh, gee, I don't know.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Three weeks ago, four weeks ago, now, I went to
- 5:18Speaker 5: go leave the house and lo and behold, can't find
- 5:21Speaker 5: the sunglasses.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Have no idea where they are shocker, feel like you
- 5:25Speaker 2: lose everything.
- 5:27Speaker 3: So for weeks, within like a day or two of
- 5:29Speaker 3: getting it, by the way, for weeks and weeks and weeks,
- 5:31Speaker 3: I'm kicking myself. I'm thinking I'm never spending this much
- 5:34Speaker 3: money on anything ever again, mind you too. I mean
- 5:36Speaker 3: I didn't really buy it. My Discover card did so no.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I kicked myself for weeks and weeks, and then I
- 5:43Speaker 3: did indeed.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Find the sunglasses yesterday. Thank god. It's a happy ending.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It is a happy ending, a four hundred dollars happy ending.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed it. Pretty steep.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I have three pairs of sunglasses ray Ban in two
- 5:57Speaker 2: Oak least. Guess what I paid for them? Bucks, apiece, nothing, nothing,
- 6:01Speaker 2: oh nothing. The gifts I know, all the millionaires of
- 6:05Speaker 2: my job left them behind.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I never reclaimed them.
- 6:08Speaker 3: So this is really interesting. And you told me we
- 6:10Speaker 3: can kind of talk about anything or do anything.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 6:13Speaker 3: So Stash is on with us today, which is a
- 6:15Speaker 3: legendary name, especially in the Lehigh Valley.
- 6:17Speaker 1: He's gonna roll his eyes. Maybe you're eighty or over.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, legendary rock jock Stash here with us today.
- 6:24Speaker 3: But you're also an auctioneer, which I think is so
- 6:27Speaker 3: fucking cool.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Retired retired auction I gave up my license in February, gotcha.
- 6:32Speaker 2: It was too expensive for me and I wasn't doing
- 6:34Speaker 2: that much work anymore. But I could teach you guys
- 6:37Speaker 2: to be an auctioneer in less than an hour.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Wait, can you talk real fast like an auctioneer? Yes?
- 6:42Speaker 1: And no?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yeah I can. I'm good at it, but not great
- 6:45Speaker 2: at it. The whole drill is, I have one will
- 6:49Speaker 2: you give too.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Tall a little bit?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Now too two two, but you give the two doubt
- 6:52Speaker 2: bit two two two now three and four and five, six, seven, eight, ten, ten, ten,
- 6:55Speaker 2: twelve and a half, fifteen, seventeen and a half. And
- 6:57Speaker 2: then what you do is you throw words in there
- 6:59Speaker 2: to fill in seventeen and a half. Do you want
- 7:01Speaker 2: to bid twenty and twenty five, thirty, thirty five, forty
- 7:04Speaker 2: and just keep going and you practice an awful lot.
- 7:07Speaker 3: I don't practice repetition, right, that's.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Pretty freaking cool. If he asked me, you sound pretty good.
- 7:13Speaker 2: But I can tell you there's for every chance that's
- 7:15Speaker 2: like this, there's a thousand guys out there that are
- 7:18Speaker 2: one hundred times better than me. I was working at
- 7:20Speaker 2: Y one o two and reading and I went to
- 7:21Speaker 2: an auction after work one day and I looked at
- 7:24Speaker 2: the auctioneer and I said I could do better than that.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So I went to school, got my license, never worked
- 7:30Speaker 2: with him, but then went to see him twenty years later.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'm like, fuck, he still sounds better than Thisha. I
- 7:36Speaker 2: never got better than him, but I've been better than others.
- 7:39Speaker 2: But there were a lot of people that I wish
- 7:41Speaker 2: I sounded like, Yeah, I had a lot of fun
- 7:43Speaker 2: with it. I really enjoyed it. You can you run
- 7:46Speaker 2: a crowd? You know, you are the entertainment. I mean
- 7:51Speaker 2: those people used to come an hour an hour and
- 7:53Speaker 2: a half early with their pads for their seats so
- 7:56Speaker 2: they could sit there and watch Ralph do his job.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And they may not have even bought anything. They were
- 8:03Speaker 2: there for the show. They were there for the show man.
- 8:04Speaker 1: You know.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Speaking of shows, there's a Storage Wars show.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I feel like when I talked to people around reality TV,
- 8:11Speaker 3: I don't watch a lot of it, by the way,
- 8:13Speaker 3: Like I got really into F one recently, but only
- 8:16Speaker 3: because of that TV show on Netflix. And when I
- 8:17Speaker 3: talk to people that are f one fans, they're like, yeah,
- 8:20Speaker 3: that show's bullshit.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You don't know anything about F one. So now I
- 8:23Speaker 1: feel like like Formula one.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but now I feel like that with him bringing
- 8:27Speaker 3: up storage Wars to a professional auctioneer, you know, but
- 8:31Speaker 3: I always thought it was pretty fascinating how they did that.
- 8:34Speaker 3: And you said we could become auctioneers in about an hour.
- 8:36Speaker 3: You said, right, pretty much by the end of the show,
- 8:38Speaker 3: we're gonna be auctioneers.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Drill.
- 8:40Speaker 2: You got to work the drills and work them hard.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I wish you luck. We're gonna work it hard. Hey,
- 8:44Speaker 2: and and can you pass around a little toy back
- 8:48Speaker 2: and forth?
- 8:48Speaker 1: And chan at the same time, that was one of
- 8:50Speaker 1: the drills we did in school.
- 8:52Speaker 3: We're going to pass this joint back and forth.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Can't you do that? That'll work one joint?
- 8:57Speaker 2: Well, you give two two, two joints and three three
- 8:58Speaker 2: three and anybody went four four four?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Would you get the four? There you go?
- 9:02Speaker 3: Stosh Episode nine The Blaze The Confused Podcast.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Let's start it right now.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Welcome to The Blazed and Confused Podcast with Becker and Joel,
- 9:12Speaker 4: The trivia podcast where the questions are.
- 9:15Speaker 1: High, and so are they hate.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Time to spuck your curiosity and line up some knowledge.
- 9:21Speaker 4: The Blazed and Confused podcast starts.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Now, how many of these have we done? Though? Nine nine?
- 9:31Speaker 3: This is number nine, number nine, and we didn't give up,
- 9:34Speaker 3: which is number nine? Pretty promising. I think you keep
- 9:37Speaker 3: saying number nine, What is that from?
- 9:38Speaker 1: You know what that's from? I'm asking, yoush, you know
- 9:40Speaker 1: what that's from? Some beatleshit.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I've heard you guys talk about music trivia. I'm kind
- 9:47Speaker 2: of like the same genre of music trivia like you
- 9:50Speaker 2: guys are.
- 9:51Speaker 1: If the books in front of me, I know it. Yeah,
- 9:53Speaker 1: if it's not, I'm screwed. I cut you off before
- 9:55Speaker 1: stash please. Oh no, I forgot already it, so we
- 9:58Speaker 1: can move on, all right. Some beatlesh.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I'm not a huge Beatles fan. I like the Beatles,
- 10:04Speaker 2: I don't love them. I don't go out of my
- 10:06Speaker 2: way to listen to them. They are the iconic band
- 10:10Speaker 2: by far, they are, but yeah, you know, resentment for him.
- 10:13Speaker 2: It sounds like I'd rather spend five hours listening to Zappa.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Really yeah, really yeah? Oh come on, uh huh, Well.
- 10:21Speaker 5: You got to go in my bathroom down here, because
- 10:23Speaker 5: it's a Beatles steam bathroom.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I did already the last time I was here. Yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I do remember that my Beatles steam bathroom. I don't know,
- 10:31Speaker 1: do you think that's a good idea.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I just have so much Beetles stuff that I thought, well,
- 10:35Speaker 3: why not just put it all in one space and
- 10:38Speaker 3: put it all in the bathroom and have a Beatles bathroom.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Well, it's just like Elvis, you know, go back to
- 10:42Speaker 2: the auctioneer thing. You know, Elvis is so collectible. The
- 10:46Speaker 2: Beatles are so collectible. So what's somebody gonna do. They're
- 10:49Speaker 2: gonna make so many things that are Beetle oriented that
- 10:53Speaker 2: the collectibles aren't collectible anymore because there's so many of them.
- 10:57Speaker 2: You could tell me something's rare, and I won't belie
- 11:00Speaker 2: leave you in a minute, I really won't, you know.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I bought fireplace tools at an estate sale on Saturday
- 11:07Speaker 2: and they were brass. I took them home and cleaned
- 11:09Speaker 2: them and I actually used away on the Internet to
- 11:11Speaker 2: clean them as opposed to brass cleaner, and it worked. Vinegar,
- 11:16Speaker 2: salt and flour. It's like, holy shit, you cleaned brass
- 11:19Speaker 2: with that and they came out great. And then my
- 11:21Speaker 2: wife looked them up. And somebody's trying to get five
- 11:23Speaker 2: hundred dollars for these things? Wow, and I paid less
- 11:26Speaker 2: than five bucks for with ten other items. So you're
- 11:32Speaker 2: gonna shot them down and pocket the moment. Now I
- 11:34Speaker 2: have a fireplace, and that's where they're gonna go. See,
- 11:36Speaker 2: you don't have the only cool place to live. There
- 11:38Speaker 2: are other people.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Oh bad? So are we giving stash the rapid round quise?
- 11:44Speaker 3: But before we get into that, let's test your short
- 11:46Speaker 3: term memory right now? What three ingredients did Stosh just mentioned?
- 11:53Speaker 3: Would clean brass?
- 11:56Speaker 1: All right? I know flower was one of them? Fuck yeah, really.
- 12:07Speaker 5: Flower salt it's too flower salt and.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Dish soap, No.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Stash, vinegar vinegar? Alright, well two for three, that's not
- 12:27Speaker 3: that bad.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Wow.
- 12:29Speaker 3: He yeah, got you right off the bat of my friend.
- 12:34Speaker 1: He only sounds smart. So I have short term memory loss.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It's because the constant weed smoking, which I'm trying to quit.
- 12:42Speaker 3: But again, let me say it again, this weed theme
- 12:45Speaker 3: podcast ain't helping me much.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Give me a you know, be a quitter. Listen.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I want to be ain't cool man? I want to
- 12:52Speaker 3: be a cup backer and that's what I want to be.
- 12:54Speaker 3: You can do that a cut back. I only do
- 12:56Speaker 3: this in the evenings or on the weekends all day long.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You're full of ship. I only do this all the
- 13:03Speaker 1: evenings or the weekends all day long. Stash.
- 13:07Speaker 3: You've heard the show, you know how it goes kind.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Of ah yeah, I know.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You do some trivia and I can be a lifeline
- 13:12Speaker 2: if you guys want me to be. It all depends
- 13:14Speaker 2: on what mood you're in.
- 13:15Speaker 3: We also have a newer thing called the wrapid round,
- 13:17Speaker 3: and we fire off ten or so questions, you know,
- 13:20Speaker 3: whatever you can get done in sixty seconds. We're going
- 13:22Speaker 3: to do that to the guests. So you're going to
- 13:23Speaker 3: be the second person doing this. I think he looks through.
- 13:27Speaker 3: He looks odd really excited about this. So a really
- 13:30Speaker 3: quick recap of your career, your radio career.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Go for it.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I started the day Lennon died at wilk and wolfsbur
- 13:36Speaker 2: which is December nineteen eighty eighty.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Wow, how was going to say?
- 13:41Speaker 3: The pressure first day on the job in that news break.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I started at eleven o'clock.
- 13:46Speaker 2: By twelve week got the news and I got to
- 13:49Speaker 2: meet just about everybody. It's the only night I ever
- 13:52Speaker 2: I worked there. Four months. It was the four worst
- 13:54Speaker 2: months of my life. Working overnights. I worked six overnights
- 13:56Speaker 2: midnight to six Monday through Saturday. Sunday was my day off,
- 14:00Speaker 2: and I ran Larry King Live. I wanted to shoot myself,
- 14:04Speaker 2: I really did. It was awful, and back then they
- 14:09Speaker 2: didn't have computers.
- 14:10Speaker 3: You had to like sit there and monitor everything and
- 14:12Speaker 3: plug plug commercials and whatnot.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I had thirty seconds to kill, fifteen seconds at the
- 14:17Speaker 2: top of the hour and thirty at the bottom, if
- 14:19Speaker 2: I remember correctly, That's about it. I did a live
- 14:22Speaker 2: show the first two weeks I was there, and then
- 14:24Speaker 2: we were running some radio theater shit and that was
- 14:27Speaker 2: god awful. So it was it was an album you
- 14:31Speaker 2: just throw the needle down and walk the fuck away
- 14:33Speaker 2: from it.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Wow, where'd you go after that?
- 14:37Speaker 2: And then I worked at WPCN and Mount Pocono. I
- 14:39Speaker 2: was the first guy on the air there. That was
- 14:41Speaker 2: April of eighty two. That was a year and a
- 14:44Speaker 2: half of a nightmare, making one hundred and fifty dollars
- 14:47Speaker 2: a week. The owner insisted we wear slacks to work,
- 14:51Speaker 2: you know, it was the old radio thing where guys
- 14:54Speaker 2: used to wear ties and that kind of stuff. Then
- 14:56Speaker 2: the one day the owner's kid came in in jeans
- 14:58Speaker 2: and he was a job worked full time there, and
- 15:01Speaker 2: I said, hey, if Georgie gets to dress like this,
- 15:04Speaker 2: I'm dressing like this too, because I can't afford to
- 15:06Speaker 2: dress the way you guys want. I didn't last very
- 15:09Speaker 2: long there. I heard I was getting fired, so I quit,
- 15:13Speaker 2: and then I had a grievance and went to unemployment
- 15:16Speaker 2: and wound up getting unemployment and then I got a
- 15:19Speaker 2: call to come.
- 15:19Speaker 1: To WAEB for three years. I got fired there and then.
- 15:25Speaker 2: It's the best firing story out of the three I got.
- 15:28Speaker 2: And then I started as ZZO in December of eighty five.
- 15:32Speaker 1: How long were you on ZZO? Then? Ten years? Almost?
- 15:35Speaker 1: You know.
- 15:35Speaker 2: At the time, I thought, shit, I'm not gonna have
- 15:38Speaker 2: a problem getting a job. This will be great. Took
- 15:40Speaker 2: me three years to find a job, a full time job.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I mean, I worked at w LV. The best comment
- 15:47Speaker 2: about that, a friend of mine said, when he heard
- 15:49Speaker 2: me on the air, he thought it was an out
- 15:50Speaker 2: of body experience. So and it was, you know, playing
- 15:54Speaker 2: in adult contemporary music back then, it was pretty much
- 15:57Speaker 2: the same one one hundred point seven is now. And
- 16:00Speaker 2: then I worked at MGK in Philadelphia for six months.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I was doing what Joel did mobile DJ work making
- 16:07Speaker 2: all this kind of money and then going to Philadelphia
- 16:09Speaker 2: to make sixty five fucking dollars to work overnights Gee
- 16:13Speaker 2: and you know, but it was the chance to work
- 16:14Speaker 2: in top five Philadelphia in Philadelphia, and I had to
- 16:18Speaker 2: do it.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I had to.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I've heard so many stories like that. It was like, listen,
- 16:21Speaker 3: you get that opportunity to just do.
- 16:23Speaker 2: It, and I knew I was never going to move up.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And then I did the old well do I want
- 16:27Speaker 2: to make six hundred and fifty dollars or do I
- 16:29Speaker 2: want to make sixty five? And it was very simple.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And then I worked at Why went I two in
- 16:34Speaker 2: Reading for a year and a half, and then I
- 16:36Speaker 2: was working at Oldies ninety nine point nine and then
- 16:39Speaker 2: The Hawk for six years and then we met Ye
- 16:42Speaker 2: and that's pretty much I mean.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And then I've done Piddley crap.
- 16:45Speaker 3: After that, you still do stuff though.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I do two internet stations for volunteer, kd X Rock
- 16:52Speaker 2: Radio dot com and the Blaze Rocks dot Com.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I like the Blaze Rocks. I really do. It's sixties
- 16:59Speaker 1: through nine East classic rock.
- 17:01Speaker 2: My wife has always wanted me to take a book
- 17:05Speaker 2: and write down for a therapeutic reasons things when I'm thinking,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and I use the show for that. You know, I
- 17:11Speaker 2: do it to keep my mind active and as sharp
- 17:15Speaker 2: as I can because I need it. And I can
- 17:18Speaker 2: tell you since I haven't gotten high since December thirtieth
- 17:21Speaker 2: of twenty twenty four, I do remember more. Not much,
- 17:27Speaker 2: but I do.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Let's see if you know these questions? Wrap it around?
- 17:31Speaker 1: Here we go? All right, go back and forth. I
- 17:33Speaker 1: wrote them.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I put them on a one side this time. You
- 17:35Speaker 3: can't screw it up. And look at I even labeled it.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Look at this big print. What does it say at
- 17:39Speaker 3: the top?
- 17:39Speaker 7: There?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Wrap it around, questions, frustash. The game begins in three.

- 20:21Speaker 1: Parliament? Yeah?
- 20:22Speaker 3: The slogan the happiest place on Earth refers to Disneyland,
- 20:25Speaker 3: and the hardest natural substance on earth is a diamond.

- 24:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, came out last year. It was so bad.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Don't give it away? Was so bad because the ending
- 25:01Speaker 3: really surprised me.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I don't really.
- 25:03Speaker 5: Remember what the ending was because I fell asleep it
- 25:06Speaker 5: was that bad. What was it called on the Line?
- 25:08Speaker 1: On the Line? I think it was called on the Line?
- 25:11Speaker 1: Mel Gibson movie? Right? What else is mel Gibson in that?
- 25:13Speaker 1: I would know anything.
- 25:14Speaker 3: That you've watched? Definitely not. This weapon is like I
- 25:17Speaker 3: think he's probably most famous mel Gibson The Passion of
- 25:22Speaker 3: the Christ. Yeah is he Christ? If you ask him?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Question for twenty what? Alright?
- 25:34Speaker 5: So geography is your last questionnaire? Mister Becker, which two
- 25:39Speaker 5: continents are entirely in the southern hemisphere.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Antarctica. Antarctica's one in Australia, and Australia is the other one.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Very good, Wow, very good?
- 25:53Speaker 2: Wow?
- 25:53Speaker 1: What are you a geography?
- 25:55Speaker 2: I get my geography is the ascent? Is that like
- 26:02Speaker 2: a thing that we should know about?
- 26:04Speaker 7: No?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Oh, I made that up trivia.
- 26:07Speaker 4: Man, it's like the universe asking us questions. You know, Yeah,
- 26:14Speaker 4: a blazing confused podcast.
- 26:17Speaker 3: What's in your nose right now? It's very strange.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Oh, it's a boom boom stick. It's a nasal stick.
- 26:22Speaker 5: Anytime I feel the urge to vape, I stick this
- 26:25Speaker 5: stick up my nose.
- 26:26Speaker 1: How's that working out for you?
- 26:28Speaker 5: It's all right. I haven't vape since April and it's
- 26:30Speaker 5: now July. So the boom boom stick.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Do you feel any better? I feel great. I feel
- 26:34Speaker 1: like I can actually breathe now.
- 26:36Speaker 5: I'd feel even better if I quit smoking marijuana too.
- 26:38Speaker 5: But again, this podcast is screwing me up. I hate
- 26:42Speaker 5: the name of it, boom boom stick. Well, I guess
- 26:45Speaker 5: maybe that's not what you're really supposed to call it.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Maybe it's just a nasal stick. This one is a
- 26:49Speaker 5: flavored as a lavender, so you stick it up your
- 26:52Speaker 5: nose and it like it's like essential oils. It like
- 26:54Speaker 5: wakes you up, you know, I feel woke.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I feel awoken.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, anyway, you can ask me my questions. Question
- 27:05Speaker 3: number one, all right, geography. The US state that shares
- 27:09Speaker 3: a border with only one other state is what?
- 27:12Speaker 1: Oh? Oh oh, I've never been there. It's like way
- 27:16Speaker 1: up there. Oh fuck, I think it's Maine. You got it?
- 27:21Speaker 2: Oh? Main?
- 27:23Speaker 1: That was easy.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, way up there, yeah, way up there. Yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 3: don't ask me what on its own essentially?
- 27:29Speaker 1: What border does it share with the other? What's the
- 27:32Speaker 1: other state?
- 27:32Speaker 2: I have a go ahead. I'm sorry. And then I
- 27:34Speaker 2: got the romaniac story. If you want.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Vermont, no, what is it? I don't know. I'm asking you.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Why'd you say no? If you don't know? The handsome
- 27:42Speaker 1: I don't know. Vermont sounds wrong. I can't be Vermont.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Stosh probably have something more intelligent to talk about. Got
- 27:47Speaker 2: not much more. But the one time when I went
- 27:50Speaker 2: to the engineer Mick Ryder up to Maine from Allentown.
- 27:54Speaker 2: We went to rob a radio station up there that
- 27:56Speaker 2: were getting rid of all this stuff. He didn't want
- 27:58Speaker 2: them to throw it away. So we went grabbed all
- 28:00Speaker 2: this equipment and I said, I'm want to get high
- 28:02Speaker 2: in your truck.
- 28:03Speaker 1: And he said, there's no fucking way, you're getting hard,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and he was.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Growling at me. So I drank like sixteen beers on
- 28:10Speaker 2: the way up instead, and so I was asking him
- 28:12Speaker 2: every five minutes to go to the bathroom. And by
- 28:15Speaker 2: the time we got to Maine, I was so drunk.
- 28:17Speaker 2: And then we're in a bar at like midnight one
- 28:20Speaker 2: in the morning, and I'm hungover. I already took like
- 28:23Speaker 2: an hour nap and then got hung over, and then
- 28:26Speaker 2: we had to go go I'll get all this crap
- 28:28Speaker 2: the next day. And that these big atari reel to
- 28:32Speaker 2: real machines, about four of them.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Leave them there. They're fucking heavy. He's growling at me.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I took all four of them and like made three
- 28:41Speaker 2: hundred bucks each on him, and he was miserable with me.
- 28:44Speaker 1: And I sold them right in front of him.
- 28:46Speaker 2: We were at some ham fest and some guy bought
- 28:49Speaker 2: all of them for like a thousand bucks or whatever,
- 28:52Speaker 2: and yeah, he said, I told you I could make
- 28:55Speaker 2: money on those. Haha, there you go. But he wouldn't
- 28:58Speaker 2: let me get high. So I got I'm back fuck
- 29:01Speaker 2: him back in the good old days. You never answered
- 29:05Speaker 2: my question about Maine. By the way, what was it
- 29:08Speaker 2: you never remember?
- 29:10Speaker 3: What were we talking about? What state does a border?
- 29:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna say Vermont?
- 29:14Speaker 1: What state does Maine border? Or New Hampshire?
- 29:17Speaker 6: Maine actually borders New Hampshire.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Who's your sister? She hot? What she hot? Put your
- 29:25Speaker 1: sister on?
- 29:26Speaker 7: I think there might be a little confusion. It's just
- 29:28Speaker 7: me here, but I'm happy to chat about anything you like.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Let me know what you're curious about your sister, your sister.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Question two? Wait, no, you went back to the first one.
- 29:43Speaker 3: There he's in charge, you know. Isn't that funny to
- 29:45Speaker 3: think about one?
- 29:46Speaker 1: Maine borders New Hampshire? Yes? Gotcha? All right?
- 29:51Speaker 4: Question two?
- 29:53Speaker 3: What was the first toy ever advertised on TV?
- 29:57Speaker 1: Oh? I know this. It was in nineteen fifty. Oh,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I know this. Do you know this? Stash? Maybe?
- 30:02Speaker 3: All right, So keep that in mind if you if
- 30:05Speaker 3: you don't think you think that it's a mister potato head?
- 30:07Speaker 1: You got yes, did you have one of those grown
- 30:12Speaker 1: up I did? Yeah? I did.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Actually, to be honest with you, and this sounds ridiculous.
- 30:18Speaker 3: But I don't know if I had a mister potato Head.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I think I only had a Missus potato head.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Is it the same thing? Almost? Man? What's the difference? No?
- 30:26Speaker 1: Penis question three?
- 30:30Speaker 3: Which instrument is known as the king of instruments? Which
- 30:39Speaker 3: instrument I do as the king of instruments?
- 30:42Speaker 1: I know, I want to say the piano, but I
- 30:44Speaker 1: feel like that's wrong, wrong. I don't know, but you're close.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Harpsichord, no fuck any other guesses?
- 30:57Speaker 1: Uh, piano, but up close? Organ? Yeah? Oh wow, Organ?
- 31:03Speaker 1: It is the king of instruments, now, you know, right.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Organ's hardest shit to play, dude, isn't.
- 31:08Speaker 3: It like all these levers or is it levers?
- 31:11Speaker 1: Well, the levers is to get the different sounds out
- 31:13Speaker 1: of it.
- 31:14Speaker 3: But the reason why organ's hard is because it's basically
- 31:17Speaker 3: piano with your hands but also piano with your feet.
- 31:19Speaker 3: But at the same fucking time. Man, it's crazy. It's bersark.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Your feet is the bass notes. All the low notes
- 31:26Speaker 3: is your feet normally, and then your hands normally. There's
- 31:29Speaker 3: like three or four levels of keyboards, but it's all
- 31:31Speaker 3: different sounds and different octaves and different shit which you
- 31:34Speaker 3: control with the levers and you tried it before. I mean, like, yeah,
- 31:37Speaker 3: I've screwed around with an Oregon before. It's just hard.
- 31:40Speaker 1: He's screwed around with an organ before. He's there. I
- 31:43Speaker 1: hear one or two?
- 31:44Speaker 4: Question four twenty what.
- 31:49Speaker 3: What letter does not appear in any of the US
- 31:52Speaker 3: state names? There's one letter that does not appear in
- 31:55Speaker 3: any of the state names. I go three of them.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Uh oh is visiting third grade right now?
- 32:12Speaker 1: Not a big state guy? Huh nah? I was never
- 32:15Speaker 1: a big state guy.
- 32:16Speaker 3: What letter does not appear in any of the US
- 32:19Speaker 3: state names?
- 32:19Speaker 1: I might use my lifeline here.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Z no no I thought about any other guesses.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I was gonna say, Q Q is right. Wow. I
- 32:33Speaker 1: surprised myself this week. Good job. We both did pretty good, right,
- 32:37Speaker 1: I think so?
- 32:37Speaker 3: I think you might have done better, which is to
- 32:40Speaker 3: be expected.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Slap yourselves on the asses, guys. Go ahead. But you
- 32:44Speaker 1: know what we ought to do.
- 32:45Speaker 5: We ought to start like a listener line or something
- 32:47Speaker 5: where people can send us. I gotta I gotta ask
- 32:50Speaker 5: about that. If there's a way that people can send us,
- 32:53Speaker 5: like messages on the iHeart app.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be cool. You know, some listener input,
- 32:59Speaker 1: some listener it because they're the smart ones.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Well, you know, this is what I do when I'm
- 33:05Speaker 5: live on the radio and I have no idea what
- 33:07Speaker 5: to talk about. I go on the radio and I say, wow,
- 33:10Speaker 5: I have nothing to talk about today. What do you
- 33:12Speaker 5: people want to talk about? Call me up and let's
- 33:14Speaker 5: talk about something.
- 33:15Speaker 2: I I did that at Zezio one hundred times at least,
- 33:18Speaker 2: and it works.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Sometimes I don't know what this is. There's this button
- 33:22Speaker 1: in when I press it, and this is this.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Guess that sound? We should do it? Start doing I
- 33:27Speaker 3: guess that sound? That'd be fun.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, we could call it. What the heck
- 33:31Speaker 1: is that? Fuck? Is that the How come he didn't
- 33:37Speaker 1: give me easier trivia questions?
- 33:39Speaker 3: They were just all random from chat EPT. Is that
- 33:42Speaker 3: where they came from?
- 33:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 33:43Speaker 3: I double checked the answers though, just in case.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Yeah, sometimes she gives me wrong answers, I say she.
- 33:48Speaker 5: I think mine's actually a dude, right.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I think his sister does not exist? Does not exist?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Where's his sister?
- 33:55Speaker 2: We're going to keep asking him, though, asking me as
- 33:58Speaker 2: a brother, ask him, now, what was the dumbest question
- 34:04Speaker 2: that you asked chat GPT the one night when you
- 34:07Speaker 2: guys are fucking around with that, and you kept asking questions.
- 34:10Speaker 3: We were just going on and on and on and
- 34:12Speaker 3: on and on. It was just like a conversation that
- 34:15Speaker 3: just kept going and going, and we kept talking about
- 34:16Speaker 3: it's sister, asking like big boobs or what you know,
- 34:21Speaker 3: just like like a bunch of kids.
- 34:22Speaker 1: You know, if there's.
- 34:23Speaker 6: Anything you're curious about, feel free to ask away.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Where's your fucking sister.
- 34:29Speaker 7: So if there's anything else you'd like to chat him
- 34:31Speaker 7: out or any questions you have, just let me know you.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Have a brother. Then if you don't have a sister.
- 34:36Speaker 6: I'm here to help and make things fun and interesting.
- 34:39Speaker 7: So if there's anything you'd like to know or talk about,
- 34:41Speaker 7: he's just de escalating, trying.
- 34:44Speaker 1: To make it fun and interesting. Believe me, I'm trying
- 34:46Speaker 1: to make it fun and interesting.
- 34:47Speaker 6: I appreciate you keeping things lively.
- 34:49Speaker 7: If there's anything specific you want to chat about or
- 34:51Speaker 7: any fun topics you're curious about, I'm all yours.
- 34:56Speaker 2: This is like the documentary I watched today about the
- 34:58Speaker 2: Cleveland Brown Security team where how they de escalate problems
- 35:03Speaker 2: with people. People are drunk and stupid and get even
- 35:06Speaker 2: stupider when they drink and automatically, you get caught vaping
- 35:10Speaker 2: on camera there, you get kicked out no matter.
- 35:13Speaker 1: What you know. But they're nice about it.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they compacted everything into forty two minutes.
- 35:18Speaker 2: But still some of them, you know, were probably very volatile.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And I'm talking about the security guys too, because at
- 35:25Speaker 2: some point you're going to lose control.
- 35:28Speaker 1: You have to.
- 35:28Speaker 2: You see and hear these people being Did they get
- 35:31Speaker 2: stupider as they get drunker?
- 35:33Speaker 3: Yeah, Joels like that.
- 35:35Speaker 1: What stupider as I'm drunker?
- 35:37Speaker 2: The one thing I did people are The one thing
- 35:40Speaker 2: I did learn about that was they found a package
- 35:43Speaker 2: somewhere and they thought it was a bomb, and the
- 35:46Speaker 2: dog alerted them that it was a bomb. But it
- 35:49Speaker 2: was actually somebody that brought in someone who had passed
- 35:53Speaker 2: away their ashes. They were going to sneak onto the
- 35:56Speaker 2: field and spread his ashes on the field as a
- 35:58Speaker 2: wish to that person, the final wish that they would
- 36:02Speaker 2: be spread on the field at Cleveland Brown Stadium. But
- 36:05Speaker 2: the carbon that's in the ashes tests like a bomb,
- 36:09Speaker 2: and I never knew that. So now you could throw
- 36:11Speaker 2: that trivia question at somebody and everybody will go.
- 36:14Speaker 1: That's not true.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go. Joe, What did he just say?
- 36:19Speaker 1: What? Shut up? Oh?
- 36:22Speaker 2: That was funny before it was funny again. Thanks for
- 36:31Speaker 2: the invite, guys, I really appreciate it.
