- 4:20Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. She's going to be a tight itinery,
- 4:22Speaker 2: but I'm going to make the most of every hour.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You can be assured of that. I was really encouraged
- 4:27Speaker 2: to see it. She looking at the weather over the
- 4:29Speaker 2: next couple of days, it's absolutely pissing down. So it's
- 4:33Speaker 2: going to be a great time for old Houghdy Jane's
- 4:36Speaker 2: two day holiday.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Well, you've been holding on by the skin of your teeth.
- 4:39Speaker 5: You've been You've been bearing down and gritting it. You

- 4:57Speaker 2: am going to be spewing content. I tell it. I

- 5:05Speaker 2: you fellas. You know, when you went away for your
- 5:06Speaker 2: three weeks in Europe in the summertime, quaffing wine and
- 5:11Speaker 2: Spain and cheese, I was gratified. You know, it was
- 5:15Speaker 2: worth old Pagsan and I doing the show for three
- 5:17Speaker 2: weeks and new backbones coming back absolutely content pouring out
- 5:22Speaker 2: of your asses. Yes, what's lasted about a day and
- 5:25Speaker 2: then you're over it?
- 5:26Speaker 4: But no, look, you must be excited because and we're
- 5:28Speaker 4: going to miss you, man, And like, do you reckon?
- 5:30Speaker 4: Because you strike me as a guy that when you like,
- 5:32Speaker 4: let's say you do retire, I feel like you'll get
- 5:35Speaker 4: bored easy. But you're away for ages. Do you worry
- 5:37Speaker 4: that you'll get bored and you're four days off?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's why I've really booked it up. Keezy.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I'm not good doing nothing. I'm not good just setting around,
- 5:46Speaker 2: you know, ifin and about stuff. So yeah, she's a
- 5:50Speaker 2: fully booked itinery my friend. And don't you worry about that.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Old hardy J will be fine. And she just just
- 5:56Speaker 2: on that. I'm sitting here, and truly, if I lived here,
- 6:00Speaker 2: I'd have my surfcaster out right now because it's a
- 6:03Speaker 2: nice off shore breeze going straight out to see you'd
- 6:05Speaker 2: cast the basket for Miles.
- 6:07Speaker 4: I tell you, man, I don't know you should be
- 6:09Speaker 4: getting your right out in public. Jasey, We're gonna miss you.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Man.
- 6:15Speaker 3: It's such a long break.
- 6:16Speaker 5: If we do have an opportunity lander in the show,
- 6:18Speaker 5: I'd like to hear what you are arguing up to
- 6:19Speaker 5: what the itinerary is day by day.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So yeah, sure he In the meantime, he's a bit
- 6:25Speaker 2: of Green Day.
- 6:31Speaker 1: The whole aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Tune in week days and four on radio.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Hold Ikey, how good good in action? Therefore you you're
- 6:41Speaker 2: listening to the Big Show. We're on a beach and
- 6:43Speaker 2: mountain long Annilie. At the moment, Keys, he's still in
- 6:45Speaker 2: the spa. How is it, by the way, Keys, he
- 6:48Speaker 2: enjoying it.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going really good. Jason.
- 6:50Speaker 4: We're down here in Totung celebrating our Black Clash. Tickets
- 6:53Speaker 4: going on sale today. Yeah, but we've got a whole
- 6:55Speaker 4: lot of guests coming in and out. Mogie doesn't want
- 6:57Speaker 4: to get wrinkly or doesn't.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Well, no, I just jumped out because I need to
- 6:59Speaker 5: go to obviously are going to get back as well.
- 7:02Speaker 5: You know, I've got a lot of people coming, et cetera,
- 7:03Speaker 5: et cetera.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Well you should have just done what Keyzy did and
- 7:06Speaker 2: just do it in the spa. Yeah, you know what
- 7:08Speaker 2: I mean.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I'm going to be honest, I really need to go
- 7:10Speaker 4: wheeze and it a hot spring spa, do I just go.
- 7:14Speaker 5: The filtration systems and these hot spring spas are second
- 7:17Speaker 5: to none. Absolutely, before you've even halfway urinated, it's already
- 7:22Speaker 5: been cleaned, recycled and pumped back through the system. They're
- 7:25Speaker 5: bloody amazing. You can drink that water, Keyzy, and I'd
- 7:28Speaker 5: like to watch you.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 7:30Speaker 3: They'll do that absolutely.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Now, Kezy of course told on your hometown it is,
- 7:36Speaker 2: and as we were driving through there, I was really
- 7:39Speaker 2: enjoying Keysis. Now this feels historical facts.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Absolutely really interesting thing and we didn't know this until
- 7:47Speaker 5: the drive down. In two thousand and seven, they held
- 7:51Speaker 5: a mister Mount Monganui competition down here on the beach
- 7:55Speaker 5: and Keezy, you didn't enter it?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Man? Why not?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Well, Yeah, it's a good question.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Mag It was at the time and I just thought,
- 8:01Speaker 4: you know, miss the Mount mong and Nui. I don't
- 8:03Speaker 4: know if it should be a fifteen year old, but
- 8:06Speaker 4: I'll tell you what I saw the guy who did win.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It, Yeah, Stallion, Yes, yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Well I actually, you know, it just goes to show
- 8:14Speaker 2: how far you've come actually keasy, you know, because here
- 8:16Speaker 2: you are in the middle of a public beach getting
- 8:18Speaker 2: your meat Patti's out. Back in the day, of course,
- 8:21Speaker 2: you were deeply ashamed of it, and it's only through
- 8:24Speaker 2: the big show that you've been able to sort of
- 8:27Speaker 2: come to terms with it. Yeah, just be just really embraced.
- 8:31Speaker 4: One hundred percent, Jase on hundred percent, And to be honest, man,
- 8:34Speaker 4: if we could bring it.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Up every break on the show going forward today, that
- 8:38Speaker 3: it'll be good.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Of course, back when I was here, because you know,
- 8:40Speaker 4: I've spent a lot of time, I went to one
- 8:42Speaker 4: of the local colleges here, or to Mutside College, and
- 8:45Speaker 4: every weekend and after school as well and summer we'd
- 8:47Speaker 4: come down to the mounta main beach and at the
- 8:49Speaker 4: time they were just wristoles really, but they were certainly
- 8:52Speaker 4: blossoming and blooming yeah, and I was not kind of
- 8:56Speaker 4: known as that one guy who'd always wear a rashy yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 4: And so to be here now with you guys, paddies out,
- 9:01Speaker 4: you know, crowds gathering salivating looking at them giving away
- 9:04Speaker 4: free tickets to the Black Clash, I feel like I
- 9:06Speaker 4: have really Yeah, I've gone full.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Circle, mate. They've got a real Reburger vibe to them. Absolutely,
- 9:12Speaker 5: thanks man.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And they're certainly full circle. Would you.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Would you say that my bird meat patties are crave
- 9:24Speaker 4: worthy street freshly babe?
- 9:30Speaker 3: Guys, we had a plan. We had a plan for
- 9:32Speaker 3: this break and it wasn't just to talk about.
- 9:35Speaker 5: The weird thing about this is it's strange to even
- 9:38Speaker 5: think that this is one of our normal shows and
- 9:41Speaker 5: it's going out over the year, because we are on
- 9:43Speaker 5: a beach, in a sparpool on the mountain in Mount Manganui.
- 9:46Speaker 3: It's very weird.
- 9:47Speaker 5: It's unbelievable. We're looking out here, bloody beautiful an oil
- 9:51Speaker 5: tank and they're parked up on a reef. It's gone
- 9:53Speaker 5: at all.
- 9:53Speaker 3: No, that's not the render. I know what you're thinking.
- 9:55Speaker 4: You're getting confused with the renta which got stuck on
- 9:57Speaker 4: the reef here a number of years ago, polluted everything
- 10:00Speaker 4: and sort of lost a whole of container stuff. That's
- 10:01Speaker 4: just a regular run of the mill cargo ship.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Nice.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I believe that one's still moving. Yeah, But other than that,
- 10:07Speaker 4: it's beautiful here fellers. It's blowing a gale. The sun's
- 10:12Speaker 4: gone down. Shit, it's cold.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's freezing and oh no, it's great to happen.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I tell you what. Make sure with regards to the
- 10:21Speaker 2: Black Ash, by the way, what that you get in
- 10:24Speaker 2: for those tickets because they sell real quick, feeling.
- 10:26Speaker 5: I don't know how many times we have to say it.
- 10:28Speaker 5: This is the pre eminent not only sports event, but
- 10:31Speaker 5: family event. You need to get your family along to this.
- 10:34Speaker 5: It's a festival affair, it's a great Bloody time and
- 10:37Speaker 5: it's cheap as chips, very reasonably priced, and yeah, you've
- 10:41Speaker 5: got to get involved.
- 10:42Speaker 3: In it, that's right.
- 10:42Speaker 4: And to get you guys fizzed up for the Black Clash,
- 10:45Speaker 4: which tickets are available from today onwards at Black Clash.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Dot co dot nz.
- 10:48Speaker 4: We're going to have a regular of the Black Clash,
- 10:51Speaker 4: the captain of Team Rugby, Karen Reid. He's going to
- 10:52Speaker 4: join us in the spar shortly we're also going to
- 10:54Speaker 4: have Neil Wagner who's making his debut for the Black Clash,
- 10:57Speaker 4: and the mayor of todunger Mahey Drives. J Yeah, what
- 11:03Speaker 4: time we're going to here, Jason, it's a break the hiarchy.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune in on radio.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Is indeed a bit of Ben Harper there on the radio,
- 11:14Speaker 2: Hodarkey big show on the magnificent vista of Mount Longanui.
- 11:19Speaker 2: The fellas in the spar Paule looking hot, and they've
- 11:22Speaker 2: been joined by another absolute stallion. I'll be honest with you.
- 11:28Speaker 2: He's built like a brick shiit house. I'm talking about
- 11:31Speaker 2: x All Black Captain, the one and only Kieran read
- 11:34Speaker 2: Ker in your mad Bastard house life. How are you, mate? Yeah,
- 11:37Speaker 2: very good. Thanks. What a spot a spectacle. You're really
- 11:42Speaker 2: really unwindingly, you're really stretching out. I noticed park.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Sons actually keeping me alive, keeping the wire up out
- 11:49Speaker 6: of the water. That's a great spot right down on
- 11:52Speaker 6: the beach in the hot spring spa.
- 11:54Speaker 2: This is this is pretty nice. Karen.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Obviously we're down here because today at Black Clash Deck
- 11:59Speaker 4: dot Co not in z people can officially go and
- 12:01Speaker 4: get their tickets. How many Black classes have you now
- 12:04Speaker 4: been involved with?
- 12:05Speaker 6: I think I'm coming up to my fifth. Wow, there's
- 12:09Speaker 6: been maybe eight miss one or two? Yeah so yeah
- 12:13Speaker 6: captain the ones I've been involved in. Yeah, so I
- 12:16Speaker 6: think we're down by a couple at the moment. There
- 12:21Speaker 6: is plenty of opportunity for us to go well this year.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I find it surprising that you've been involved five years
- 12:28Speaker 2: in a row given your form.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Well I made remember you carried your bed, didn't.
- 12:37Speaker 2: You had a shock of the last match.
- 12:39Speaker 7: Yeah, I think.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It's what's that bias? Whatever happened just before you and
- 12:45Speaker 2: recent it is now? Have you ever played at the
- 12:48Speaker 2: bab before? You have? Yeah? You have, Yeah, fond memories there.
- 12:52Speaker 5: It's beautiful.
- 12:53Speaker 2: It's amazing, right like you've been there.
- 12:55Speaker 6: That the crowd that comes along to these Black clashes,
- 12:57Speaker 6: its just unbelievable. It's not about the game, it's about
- 13:00Speaker 6: the entertainment and and the crowd having a great time.
- 13:03Speaker 6: So we try and do our best to you know,
- 13:07Speaker 6: really entertain them.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Kieran this year Ozi cricket legend. Michael Hussey akaa, mister cricket.
- 13:14Speaker 2: That's great, it is he's playing cricket.
- 13:17Speaker 5: He's the kind of guy you could shove around of
- 13:19Speaker 5: the changing rooms of the nickname like that that's real
- 13:21Speaker 5: nerds stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Or if he if he worked at like a museum
- 13:24Speaker 3: kicking bugs or something cricket. But he's joining your teammate.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You've obviously had some huge names over the years where
- 13:31Speaker 3: he sort of stack up for you.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I think he stacks up pretty highly.
- 13:34Speaker 6: He's probably of my advantage of watching cricket, I believe,
- 13:37Speaker 6: kind of the early two thousands Australian team that was
- 13:40Speaker 6: real niglie to watch, you know, like you.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Hated them, well you did, except what was somebody who
- 13:45Speaker 5: swept under the radar. You kind of liked them, which
- 13:47Speaker 5: is real for any Australian cricket player.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he has probably got that kind of
- 13:52Speaker 6: nice to look at, kind of nerdy kind of you know.
- 13:55Speaker 6: So I hope he's I'm sure he's stayed with his
- 13:58Speaker 6: study of the game and he's just going to turn
- 14:00Speaker 6: up and really kind of carry us because going to
- 14:02Speaker 6: need him.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Jason.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I mean you guys are under the pump
- 14:05Speaker 2: a bit. Tell us a little bit about about your
- 14:07Speaker 2: preparation for the game. When do you get together and
- 14:09Speaker 2: all that sort of stuff, To be honest, although.
- 14:18Speaker 6: I've been told I'm going to get our squad together
- 14:21Speaker 6: pro Christmas this time, so oh, you's just the week
- 14:24Speaker 6: team bonding sessions.
- 14:25Speaker 5: So I think you guys have enough team bonding if
- 14:27Speaker 5: I'm honest with you, man, I think you guys need
- 14:29Speaker 5: to pick up the bloody bats ball do a bit
- 14:31Speaker 5: more practice than the team bonding, and that always seems
- 14:34Speaker 5: to be the issue. I think there might have been
- 14:36Speaker 5: a part of the problem for Brian Lara when he
- 14:38Speaker 5: was out here. People expect the great things, you know.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Unfortunate when the delivery was coming down Tom, I think
- 14:44Speaker 5: it would have been Cole Mills. He was seeing about
- 14:46Speaker 5: eight of them all at once for Triple Vodka. Responsibly,
- 14:52Speaker 5: I'm told there was a little bit of chat that
- 14:54Speaker 5: he thought it was a Brian Lara tribute game and
- 14:58Speaker 5: that everybody was there to sell a rate him. But
- 15:00Speaker 5: that turned out not to be the case. And that's
- 15:02Speaker 5: probably the greatest embarrassment we've ever had for somebody that's
- 15:05Speaker 5: come out, especially for the game.
- 15:06Speaker 6: It's a hard one, right, Like, you know, we're X,
- 15:10Speaker 6: well for us, we're X rugby players.
- 15:13Speaker 2: The ex cricketers turned up.
- 15:14Speaker 6: But you know a guy like mister cricket, if you're
- 15:16Speaker 6: going to chuck a name on him, yes, yeah, the big,
- 15:19Speaker 6: big expectations for him, the kind of Carris.
- 15:21Speaker 2: But if you talk about.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Ex cricketers, like there's Wagner over there, Yeah, Wagner and
- 15:27Speaker 6: Tim Salvey, like these two were literally bowling at the
- 15:30Speaker 6: top of the game, like just a couple of seasons ago.
- 15:33Speaker 5: So when South he's still playing in the hundred. I
- 15:35Speaker 5: think over in the UK at the moment, I mean
- 15:37Speaker 5: the problem with Vargner and I think people are going
- 15:38Speaker 5: to find this out really late. He is down here, charming,
- 15:40Speaker 5: falery is but you get a ball in his hand,
- 15:42Speaker 5: put him in front of the crowd and he's an
- 15:44Speaker 5: absolute psycho. Pass he's got it, he's got that South
- 15:46Speaker 5: African blood and then they're off their heads. So I
- 15:49Speaker 5: can't wait to see what happens here. I think he
- 15:51Speaker 5: alone is going to be worth the price of admission,
- 15:52Speaker 5: I think, But.
- 15:54Speaker 6: I guess it's for me as a competitive guy, like
- 15:56Speaker 6: you get out there to face him, you want him
- 15:58Speaker 6: to be steaming him.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Bring it, bring it, bring it, Neil. You know you're
- 16:02Speaker 2: on You're only a little. Fully, you can't get it
- 16:04Speaker 2: up my height, can you. Yeah, I'll tell you what,
- 16:07Speaker 2: Cararal hold it there, We'll go to a chin and
- 16:08Speaker 2: we'll get back to you.
- 16:10Speaker 1: The Hidarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hodarky.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Is indeed any bitter there on the Radio Hodarchy Big
- 16:17Speaker 2: Show Live from Mount Monganui Beach, the Fellas and the
- 16:20Speaker 2: Sparple Years.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Keys, Well, I just wanted to correct you there, jays.
- 16:23Speaker 4: We live from Todunger Mount Muminuy Beach is the sub
- 16:26Speaker 4: a suburb of todung all right, and something very they
- 16:28Speaker 4: get very annoyed about that. It's todung all right, we're
- 16:30Speaker 4: in Todunga.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Okay. Well, the question I've got for you where you
- 16:33Speaker 2: are right now? What's it called now? Momentu beach? Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 2: thank you. Now, of course the Black Clash is happening
- 16:40Speaker 2: again next January January. And with that in mine, we've
- 16:43Speaker 2: got the skipper of the team Rugby, the one and
- 16:46Speaker 2: only Kieran read Kieren. Let's talk tactics for you, Fellas.
- 16:51Speaker 2: One of the years I felt you fell down badly
- 16:55Speaker 2: shockingly in the last match was your pace attack. There
- 16:59Speaker 2: was a lot of deadly doublers. Have you addressed there?
- 17:03Speaker 2: It's been very hard to address.
- 17:04Speaker 6: We're just pulling these great pacemen out of the rugby stocks.
- 17:09Speaker 6: But look, we had a crack with a guy Jason Eden.
- 17:12Speaker 6: He didn't quite bring the pace.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Jordy was pretty quick. Jordy Barrett a couple of years
- 17:17Speaker 2: a hot tip.
- 17:18Speaker 6: He hasn't been announced, but let's say, okay, we think
- 17:22Speaker 6: he might be able to come back into the side,
- 17:24Speaker 6: which is what we're going to need. A bit of pace.
- 17:27Speaker 6: Joey Wheeler, who will back himself all day. He didn't
- 17:29Speaker 6: have the greatest game as first attempt, had to drop
- 17:32Speaker 6: him for two seasons and then he only came in
- 17:35Speaker 6: on an injury last year, but four wickets.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I believe I remember hearing, especially with games like this, mate,
- 17:41Speaker 2: I remember hearing rumors about is he dad back in
- 17:44Speaker 2: the day and that he used to steam.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Was miles an hour?
- 17:51Speaker 2: Miles an hour? Fold out Ricky Ponting I think his
- 17:55Speaker 2: middle stump out of the ground. What about is he
- 17:58Speaker 2: was he a sort of injury Priane.
- 18:00Speaker 6: The injury Poney and a few kg's a bit too
- 18:03Speaker 6: and what he was.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Throwing a few punches here. It's called yeaut there is
- 18:08Speaker 5: a big unit.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Just quickly fellas.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Obviously we're all excited for the hot Spring spar team
- 18:13Speaker 4: in Black Clash and association with Wolfbrook. But I understand Kreen,
- 18:17Speaker 4: you've recently made some lifestyle changes and you're now a farmer.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a light term. I guess you kind of
- 18:24Speaker 6: to say farmer. Certainly moved on to a few but
- 18:27Speaker 6: acreage how many thousand, no, thousand acres?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Thirty acres? I'll give you.
- 18:34Speaker 5: You were saying, Karen, I hear that you were saying
- 18:36Speaker 5: that our farmers tend to bang on a bit about
- 18:39Speaker 5: how hard it is out there, and you're reckon, there
- 18:40Speaker 5: are a bunch of softies.
- 18:41Speaker 3: And that you found it really easy.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Oh, no, backbone of this economy.
- 18:49Speaker 2: And how many us have you got?
- 18:53Speaker 6: I've got twenty nine, but I've also got forty four lambs.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so you'll be short of a row.
- 19:00Speaker 6: No, No, I think that's it's the hardest thing to
- 19:02Speaker 6: get across the line with your kids, especially your daughters. Yes,
- 19:06Speaker 6: is that these lambs aren't going to be around become
- 19:09Speaker 6: Christmas time.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Because you you prefer to kill them personally.
- 19:13Speaker 6: Right, But actually a good story, My Dad, he came
- 19:19Speaker 6: off the farm. He had to do that himself over COVID,
- 19:21Speaker 6: right right, butcher cut everything up and put it.
- 19:25Speaker 5: In the for himself.
- 19:28Speaker 2: You can give me a few tips.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Well, Ja, she used to do it as well. Didn't
- 19:31Speaker 5: you do the same thing through COVID? Then you had
- 19:34Speaker 5: about one hundred head there, Yes, but jas did the
- 19:37Speaker 5: butcher and he just left them out in the panis,
- 19:39Speaker 5: which I thought was shocking.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well it was so messy. You have a vacuum
- 19:43Speaker 2: pete what you kill.
- 19:44Speaker 3: And also you're a natural at it though, because you
- 19:46Speaker 3: brought it over to radio and you butcher our show
- 19:47Speaker 3: all the time.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just going to store that. Just joking mate, Hey,
- 19:58Speaker 2: but listen, do you look at nerves Karen? I mean, yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 2: there's two million people watching it on the town.
- 20:06Speaker 6: It's amazing, mate, It's it's so cool to get that
- 20:09Speaker 6: kind of vibe of going out there to perform on
- 20:12Speaker 6: a big stage.
- 20:13Speaker 2: You know that people watching the crowd's huge.
- 20:15Speaker 6: It's a different kind of nerves, right not, you know
- 20:18Speaker 6: it's not there's no expectations so.
- 20:21Speaker 5: You can skill. It's different when you're playing rugby. You
- 20:23Speaker 5: know you're good at it. But with this comes a bit.
- 20:26Speaker 6: But you're out there by yourself in cricket, you know,
- 20:28Speaker 6: you know what it's like, Jase. You know, it's when
- 20:31Speaker 6: you're out there, there's there's no one else to help you,
- 20:33Speaker 6: and so it's you against that ball and what's coming
- 20:36Speaker 6: down at here. So that brings it as challenger. I
- 20:39Speaker 6: think it's it's slightly different to a rugby game where
- 20:42Speaker 6: you know you can look alongside you and see your teammates.
- 20:44Speaker 4: There and what do you prefer, sorry, before we let
- 20:47Speaker 4: you go, Karen, do you prefer that that team aspect
- 20:49Speaker 4: or you know, being out there solo a team?
- 20:52Speaker 6: Of course, you know there's if you put yourself under
- 20:56Speaker 6: the pump though, there's always something nice when you can
- 20:58Speaker 6: achieve that. And that's what I love about, you know,
- 21:01Speaker 6: seeing anyone go out there and doing well in anything
- 21:04Speaker 6: that's in a high pressure environment.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell you what, mate. We're going to be
- 21:08Speaker 2: speaking to Neil Wagner very shortly. I'm going to get
- 21:11Speaker 2: him fired up mate. Hopefully he's opening because you'll be
- 21:14Speaker 2: opening the batting again.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Maybe, of course I will be, especially if you can
- 21:17Speaker 6: get his veins popping, Yeah.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Yeah, fizzing, just coming, steaming in and dropping those short
- 21:23Speaker 2: ones into the throat. Hey, Karen Reid has always mate
- 21:27Speaker 2: an absolute pleasure. Get out of the pool, please because
- 21:30Speaker 2: other people are coming and there's not enough for him than.
- 21:36Speaker 3: What song are we going into?
- 21:37Speaker 5: There?
- 21:37Speaker 3: Feels?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Oh? Any krabbits.
- 21:41Speaker 1: The Hurdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio hod Ike.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Is indeed welcome back here, massive backbones. You listen to
- 21:48Speaker 2: the Big Show live from the beautiful city of Todong
- 21:52Speaker 2: and the beaches of Mount Monganui. But right now it's
- 21:56Speaker 2: time for What's on the Tell with Mike Minogue.
- 22:05Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't think I watched anything last night.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Fell was easy. No, it was pretty bloody crooked yesterday
- 22:19Speaker 5: feels and so I just went home and I was
- 22:22Speaker 5: in bed by arend about seven oh one, seven oh
- 22:25Speaker 5: two there, and that was me done and dust.
- 22:27Speaker 3: It feels wow. A minute after the show.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You look.
- 22:33Speaker 5: I hate to say it, Fellas, but I probably broke
- 22:35Speaker 5: a speed limit or two trying to get back to bed.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Yeah, you live ages away too, a couple of hundred miles.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, wow.
- 22:42Speaker 2: That's good going, Magie, good going.
- 22:44Speaker 5: What about you, Hoodage?
- 22:45Speaker 2: I started watching a series called Hostage.
- 22:49Speaker 3: No, no, what time did you go to bed?
- 22:51Speaker 2: What time did I go to bed? Probably about seven eighteen? Wow? Yeah, yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 2: so I got home real quick too. And then What
- 23:01Speaker 2: Serage a series called Hostage and then went straight to
- 23:04Speaker 2: the sack. But it was basically a political drama. Fellows
- 23:09Speaker 2: the British Prime Minister, the French president, the British prime
- 23:14Speaker 2: Minister's husband gets kidnapped by some random dudes and they
- 23:19Speaker 2: say to the British Prime minister. Basically the storylineers, if
- 23:22Speaker 2: you don't resign, we're going to end your husband's life. Wow.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Wow.
- 23:27Speaker 2: So you know it was your sort of stock standed
- 23:32Speaker 2: kind of political drama.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Unless I'm mistaken that one's on the Netflix of the
- 23:36Speaker 5: air and it's been as people talking about like it's
- 23:38Speaker 5: very very good average.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Oh look at as I say, I would say it
- 23:43Speaker 2: as your stock standard political kind of thriller. I'll give
- 23:46Speaker 2: it two and a half pussies average average.
- 23:49Speaker 5: That's a weird one, though, isn't it. I'll kill your husband. Yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 5: they had gone children or something like that. You could
- 23:56Speaker 5: understand it. You know that there's be a bit of
- 23:58Speaker 5: a peril there.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Well, yeah, and you think about the British Prime minister.
- 24:01Speaker 2: You know it's travel perks. Yes, you know what I mean. Yes,
- 24:05Speaker 2: they're probably on a really good wicket money wise. They
- 24:08Speaker 2: get pensions for the rest of their lives three year
- 24:10Speaker 2: travel so it would be a tough call actually, absolutely
- 24:13Speaker 2: the four of the storyline.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Yeah, Fellers kezy here in the hot tub. I watched
- 24:19Speaker 4: last night. I said no, I was this morning whilst
- 24:20Speaker 4: I was eating my breakfast baked beans on toast, half
- 24:24Speaker 4: a tiny.
- 24:25Speaker 2: You were ripping ass all the way down in the car, Jason.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I watched another episode of Tires on Netflix.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Love the show now. It's just such. It's just a
- 24:36Speaker 4: dumb comedy. It's just great, and I love all the characters.
- 24:39Speaker 4: That's really stupid. They make me laugh and I like
- 24:41Speaker 4: that in that twenty minutes long I give Tires on
- 24:43Speaker 4: Netflix four busies out of five.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Can you remind me at eight o'clock tonight, Tires on Netflix.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Jace, you're talking to your wallet.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Thanks mate. Hey, I'm not sure what song we're going
- 24:55Speaker 2: into here and now we go.
- 24:57Speaker 3: So it's five o'clock.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I'm coming.
- 25:00Speaker 3: We're going to news and stuff.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Man, Oh okay, plenty coming up after five o'clock. We've
- 25:04Speaker 2: got Mahey, Jaisal, the Mirror of Toadonger, and the great
- 25:08Speaker 2: man himself, Neil Wagner, The.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy. Tune
- 25:16Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodike.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Welcome back here, massive Backbones. You are listening to the
- 25:21Speaker 2: Big Show brought to you by Reburger.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Crave worthy street food, freshly made with Reburger.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And true story Fellas. I was so excited when we
- 25:33Speaker 2: were driving in today we saw the Reburger here at
- 25:36Speaker 2: the Mount. We're about to get some Reburger in about
- 25:39Speaker 2: twenty or thirty minutes, I believe.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Of course, we are down here Mount Monganu Beach and
- 25:45Speaker 4: beautiful Todunger. We are in a hot spring spa outside
- 25:48Speaker 4: the surf club. Mahey drives down, the mir of totdong
- 25:51Speaker 4: is about to pop, and also Neil Wagner, and it's
- 25:53Speaker 4: to celebrate the Black Clash and the fact that ticket's
- 25:56Speaker 4: gone sale today Black Clash dot co dott Ins is.
- 25:59Speaker 2: I'm looking at you guys in the spa actually and
- 26:02Speaker 2: you look like you're overheating. Can I make a suggestion.
- 26:04Speaker 5: To you please do?
- 26:06Speaker 2: What what about you get out of the Hot Spring Spa,
- 26:09Speaker 2: your belt down the beach there, you plunge into the
- 26:12Speaker 2: ocean and then you come back to the Hot Spring Spa.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I reckon you'd make you feel amazing.
- 26:17Speaker 5: That's a great idea. I might do that during this
- 26:19Speaker 5: next couple of songs here. Eh.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
- 26:22Speaker 3: The only reason I'm keen to do it is because
- 26:24Speaker 3: I am desperate to do wheeze.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, cool, let's do it.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Okay, let's go do it. What song we're going to here, Jace?
- 26:30Speaker 2: I think it's a bit of Green Day.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Actually, the Hierarchy Big Show week days from four on
- 26:36Speaker 1: Radio Hodaris.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Indeed, Guns Roses there on the Radio Hodarky Big Show.

- 27:13Speaker 10: Oh?
- 27:13Speaker 7: Well, it looks good.
- 27:14Speaker 9: I reckon this could be a permanent fixture of the
- 27:16Speaker 9: Meres sparple on the main beach.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Nice, I'm liking it. Tell me, do you spend
- 27:21Speaker 2: much time down here? Do you like to go for
- 27:23Speaker 2: a bit of a plunge in the ocean the.
- 27:25Speaker 7: Treasures behind us here?
- 27:27Speaker 2: Yes?
- 27:28Speaker 7: So yeah, No, I've spent spent a lot of time
- 27:30Speaker 7: around this spot.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Mahe.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I grew up in Todo.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I'm from Tapoona, went to college.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Why are you saying it like that?
- 27:38Speaker 3: I don't know, just because everyone says, all right, I
- 27:41Speaker 3: was like, I'm on the radio. Shuld probably say probably
- 27:43Speaker 3: whereabouts the year reside.
- 27:45Speaker 7: We grew up on the avenue, so thirteenth and fourteenth.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Nice? Nice, rich guy, I mean being a mare. Does
- 27:50Speaker 2: that mean you've got like a massive mansion and stuff?
- 27:53Speaker 7: No, no, not at all. Well, only only just recently
- 27:57Speaker 7: purchased a property.
- 27:58Speaker 5: So.
- 27:58Speaker 7: Oh the family at the end of the yew which
- 28:01Speaker 7: is excited about.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Hey, mahe, you you must be fizzing at the prospect
- 28:05Speaker 2: of the Black Clash. It always goes off wherever it
- 28:08Speaker 2: is and bay Oval what a ground that is.
- 28:11Speaker 9: It is, it's a iconic event and obviously to bring
- 28:14Speaker 9: it to the beautiful Toddonger obviously January great time to
- 28:19Speaker 9: be here. You can come and enjoy the beach and
- 28:21Speaker 9: then get down to bay Oval for a bit of
- 28:23Speaker 9: cricket in the evening.
- 28:24Speaker 5: I'm not sure if you've been to any before Mahab,
- 28:26Speaker 5: but it is the one of the most unmissible sports
- 28:29Speaker 5: events in the country. It used to be sort of
- 28:31Speaker 5: the sevens would absolutely go off and down in Wellington.
- 28:34Speaker 5: They managed to bugger that up with a few rules
- 28:36Speaker 5: and regulations that were implemented around that time eventually disappeared.
- 28:40Speaker 5: You'll be taking a hands off approach, i'd imagine to
- 28:42Speaker 5: policing around this event.
- 28:44Speaker 9: Oh absolutely, Look, I'm sure everyone's going to be well
- 28:46Speaker 9: behaved and always enjoy watching it on TV seeing the
- 28:52Speaker 9: old timers going at it.
- 28:54Speaker 2: So yeah, I've got to say, actually, just in regards
- 28:57Speaker 2: to toad on that, I mean, it's a thriving place,
- 29:00Speaker 2: isn't it. I know quite sincerely, so many people from
- 29:03Speaker 2: Auckland that have moved down here. What is it about
- 29:05Speaker 2: the place you think attracts people so much obviously this
- 29:08Speaker 2: kind of situation, but it's it's a beautiful place to live.
- 29:12Speaker 9: Yeah, there's I think lifestyle obviously we've got these these
- 29:15Speaker 9: beautiful natural resources at our doorstep. Yes, but you're also
- 29:19Speaker 9: you know with fifth fifth biggest city and growing very quickly,
- 29:23Speaker 9: so there's you know, now a lot of a lot
- 29:24Speaker 9: of opportunity for jobs and great careers, the likes of
- 29:28Speaker 9: Port of Tottonga and Zespriy in town as well as
- 29:33Speaker 9: you know, a really good innovation sort of sector coming through.
- 29:35Speaker 9: So it's a it's an exciting place to be and
- 29:38Speaker 9: and you know you go to CBD at the moment,
- 29:40Speaker 9: there's one and a half billion dollars being spent there,
- 29:44Speaker 9: you know, bring it back to life. So yeah, looking
- 29:46Speaker 9: forward to hosting everyone and yeah, come and come and
- 29:49Speaker 9: see the city coming back to life.
- 29:51Speaker 4: Mahe Drysdale, Mayor of Totung who's with us at the
- 29:53Speaker 4: moment next to the spa here on Mount Mominuy Beach.
- 29:58Speaker 4: What's your guys view towards Auckland is coming down to
- 30:00Speaker 4: total it Because my dad's view, who's lived here his
- 30:02Speaker 4: whole life.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Is now the bloody traffic everywhere. You know, what's your
- 30:06Speaker 3: guys view on that.
- 30:07Speaker 7: Look, we are very encouraging.

- 30:20Speaker 9: But your events like black Clashes is what you know,
- 30:25Speaker 9: brings that vibrancy to the city. It returns you know,
- 30:28Speaker 9: one point one million dollars, which is is a pretty good,
- 30:32Speaker 9: pretty good outcome, but you know, it's actually what it gives.
- 30:35Speaker 7: To our people.
- 30:36Speaker 9: We bring a whole lot of people in for the
- 30:38Speaker 9: weekend and you know, they come and and see what
- 30:41Speaker 9: a great place it is, and we'll probably get a
- 30:43Speaker 9: whole lot more residence afterwards.

- 31:51Speaker 5: is coming up though, mate. You've had a bloody hardcore year.
- 31:56Speaker 5: You've been behind the mike headphones on tooling the way,
- 31:59Speaker 5: pumping out the you haven't had a break for the
- 32:01Speaker 5: ny on six months and now of course you've got
- 32:04Speaker 5: an extensive vacation coming up. Yeah, what are the actual
- 32:08Speaker 5: plans mate, because you've you have got four days including
- 32:13Speaker 5: the weekend, and five sleeps. Yes, oh yeah, five sleeps.
- 32:19Speaker 5: What's your what's your plan on? Let's get what we
- 32:21Speaker 5: must well stay with start with day one. You wake
- 32:23Speaker 5: up in the morning. What's happening for old hardy jay?
- 32:26Speaker 2: Okay, well I'll immediately go wheeze.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Yeah, well hang on, this is gonna take for me obviously.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Let's just cut to the chase straight to the international airport.
- 32:33Speaker 11: Right.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Well, no, he asked me what I was doing when
- 32:35Speaker 2: as soon as I wake up here easy, and I
- 32:37Speaker 2: always go weez.
- 32:38Speaker 3: No, I know that's great, don't you want to so
- 32:40Speaker 3: back one out?
- 32:41Speaker 2: No coffee, I've got to have the coffee, and just
- 32:45Speaker 2: on the coffee on that front. By the way, it's
- 32:47Speaker 2: my turn tomorrow, okay, and my wife made it this morning, right,
- 32:50Speaker 2: so I'll go and make my wife a coffee. Yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 2: I'll probably go back into bed.
- 32:54Speaker 5: Well what time do you fly?
- 32:56Speaker 3: Are you flying anywhere?
- 32:58Speaker 2: Well? No, no, we just thought we'd have a quiet
- 33:01Speaker 2: day in, you know, just to well.
- 33:04Speaker 5: This is the thing.
- 33:04Speaker 2: People go hard too early on their holidays. And I've
- 33:07Speaker 2: got four days here, so I don't have to go crazy.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Yeah, right, you don't want to. Yeah, you don't want
- 33:11Speaker 3: to burn out to earth exactly.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And I don't know about you guys. It always takes
- 33:15Speaker 2: a little while to sort of de stress.
- 33:16Speaker 5: It does, I think, and especially because you've been working
- 33:19Speaker 5: so hard. The best thing. Oftentimes you'll find you get
- 33:22Speaker 5: sick for a few days.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Correct.
- 33:24Speaker 5: Everybody gets used to the fact that all of a
- 33:26Speaker 5: sudden you've lighted your load so much. Yeah, so you're
- 33:29Speaker 5: going to take the first twenty four hours off and
- 33:31Speaker 5: then fly to what does it grease?
- 33:32Speaker 4: Well, hang on, Jason, I'd recommend longer because usually it
- 33:35Speaker 4: takes me about four days to de stress to really
- 33:37Speaker 4: get into holiday mode.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yeah, totally, man. No, So yeah, we'll be taking it,
- 33:42Speaker 2: keeping it nice and codd to the moogi. Yes Friday. Look,
- 33:46Speaker 2: I've got to get a needle from a record player.
- 33:49Speaker 2: It's been an absolute bastard of a thing. I thought
- 33:53Speaker 2: you could just get them anywhere. You can't to stylis.
- 33:56Speaker 2: The only place you can get it is that Real
- 33:58Speaker 2: Groovy Records. Yeah, so we'll be going into town. Look,
- 34:02Speaker 2: we'll have a coffee there.
- 34:04Speaker 4: You're right, you may well because it's a good chance
- 34:06Speaker 4: to sort of get those little od jobs done, isn't it?
- 34:09Speaker 5: So you do that, isn't it. It's not a holiday
- 34:12Speaker 5: when all you're doing is you know, you're drowning yourself
- 34:14Speaker 5: and Edmund there hoidy.
- 34:15Speaker 2: J Yeah, but you got I'll be also de stressing.
- 34:18Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Then we'll go home, probably watch a movie mate, love kill.
- 34:22Speaker 3: So that's Friday done. And then and you're halfway through
- 34:24Speaker 3: your holiday at the vacation at this point.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Saturday weekend mode. So it will be my wife's turn.
- 34:31Speaker 2: It'll be my turn again to do the coffee.
- 34:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Look, I've got to do the lawns. Oh good, But
- 34:37Speaker 2: the only thing that that is are a bit wet
- 34:38Speaker 2: at the moment. So we'll probably get into the garden,
- 34:41Speaker 2: do a bit of gardening.
- 34:42Speaker 5: There'll be wet too.
- 34:43Speaker 2: My wife will probably convince me to go for a walk,
- 34:46Speaker 2: probably in the local cemetery.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Oh yes, taking out a plot.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you know you got to do that.
- 34:53Speaker 5: Jay walking around looking at the graves there jealous airs.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, totally Saturday night lock takeaway night.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Wow, what are you thinking?
- 35:04Speaker 2: Fish and chips?
- 35:05Speaker 5: No, man, you've got to go international, so you're not
- 35:07Speaker 5: getting to travel overseas. You should get some feet in
- 35:10Speaker 5: the knees.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Or just get the fish and chips, for get some
- 35:12Speaker 3: of the chiny, like a swings out pork.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that sounds good. Yeah. Then we're into Sunday
- 35:18Speaker 2: and that's just you know, relaxing mode, recovery day, actually
- 35:23Speaker 2: recovery from because it's been a fall on three days.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I'll probably be rooted.
- 35:26Speaker 3: That reminds me. We've actually got an ear check meeting
- 35:28Speaker 3: with Toddy first thing Monday morning. Yeah, so you might
- 35:31Speaker 3: have an early one Sunday night.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Oh, definitely an early one. I always tend to anyway,
- 35:34Speaker 2: because I like to be ready for the Monday morning.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Chat with Toddy.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Oh we're gonna We're gonna miss you man.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Thanks, fellers, have a great time on.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Do you buy me a prison?
- 35:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll buy you a present, but a tobler own.
- 35:46Speaker 2: No worries.

- 36:17Speaker 11: It's very good, thanks mate, it's very nice.
- 36:19Speaker 2: And the spuffle you're looking very relaxed. I must say,
- 36:22Speaker 2: just a chilling out there.
- 36:23Speaker 10: A diffy woman in there than what it's outsides. That's
- 36:25Speaker 10: actually very nice.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, now listen, Neil. I just wanted to pass
- 36:30Speaker 2: this on from Kieran Reid who we interviewed earlier, and
- 36:34Speaker 2: he said he wants to face you really fired up.
- 36:37Speaker 2: He wants the full Neil Wagner experience. Can you accommodate that? Mate.
- 36:43Speaker 10: By the way he was chasing the rubber duck on
- 36:45Speaker 10: the beaches earlier, there was a lot of competition there,
- 36:47Speaker 10: so I sort of felt like I've heard and I've
- 36:49Speaker 10: seen it from him when he fucks up. His very
- 36:52Speaker 10: competitive So I think, if I know, buy a couple
- 36:55Speaker 10: of balls, saim. The way he's been hitting him in
- 36:57Speaker 10: the back of class, I think he's going to have
- 36:59Speaker 10: to give a couple.
- 37:02Speaker 5: He's going to be he's going to be opening the bedding.
- 37:04Speaker 5: You're going to be opening the bowling, So I don't.
- 37:06Speaker 11: Know Timmy is going to be pulling rank on that.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Oh yeah, of course.
- 37:12Speaker 10: He probably makes me bowl into the wind too, so
- 37:15Speaker 10: so yeah, so I'll be charging into the so make
- 37:17Speaker 10: me angry enough to try and send some fussies.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Well, I think what you need to do. This is
- 37:21Speaker 2: my my plan for you against Day because I've studied
- 37:24Speaker 2: his game. A couple of short ones into the throat
- 37:27Speaker 2: region and then one of your big hooping Yorkers on
- 37:30Speaker 2: metal stump, Mate, what do you reckon?
- 37:32Speaker 11: It's too easy and he's going to expect that.
- 37:35Speaker 5: Yeah, mix it up with a beamer, Neil.
- 37:39Speaker 11: I might just have to come around the wicked.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Just in terms of the Black Clash, you haven't
- 37:44Speaker 2: played before. You're looking forward to it, mate, because it's
- 37:46Speaker 2: always a massive occasion. You love it.
- 37:50Speaker 5: So you might not be able to tell what's going
- 37:53Speaker 5: on at home, but the sun is absolutely beating down here.
- 37:57Speaker 2: But there's always a massive crowd, mate, and seriously, like
- 38:00Speaker 2: a million people on the television. It's a hugely popular thing.
- 38:03Speaker 2: You're looking forward to.
- 38:03Speaker 11: It, yeah, definitely am. I mean I've watched it every year.
- 38:06Speaker 10: I've been to the ones that's yeah, the mound obviously
- 38:09Speaker 10: in the crowd and see what you boys do, and
- 38:11Speaker 10: it looks a spectacle. Man, It's it's always a bit
- 38:13Speaker 10: of fun. So I'm looking forward to it. It's a
- 38:16Speaker 10: it's a great event. Everybody gets excited about it. And
- 38:19Speaker 10: two awesome codes, mate, rubbing shoulders, you know, sharing some
- 38:22Speaker 10: some pretty cool memories.
- 38:24Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm very excited about.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Neil Wagner keysy here.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Hope you're well, you know the thing with the Black
- 38:33Speaker 4: Clash rights as a former Black cable like yourself, you know,
- 38:36Speaker 4: you see these Rugby guys come along and then just go, yeah,
- 38:39Speaker 4: I can play cricket.
- 38:40Speaker 3: You know that the games are really close, Rugby wins sometimes.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Do you get annoyed by that? You know what I mean?
- 38:46Speaker 10: Definitely think you should get annoyed by it. But mate,
- 38:49Speaker 10: some of these guys can play in it. I mean
- 38:51Speaker 10: I've seen obviously bat and hold the bad I've seen
- 38:54Speaker 10: the other guys.
- 38:55Speaker 2: You know.
- 38:55Speaker 10: The way they play is obviously talented individuals. And that
- 38:58Speaker 10: team who can pick dev code whichever they wanted to,
- 39:01Speaker 10: you know, picked Rugby.
- 39:02Speaker 11: For some reason. I don't know why, but so well,
- 39:06Speaker 11: I'm gonna played cricket mate.
- 39:07Speaker 2: But I know, Neil back in the day you are
- 39:10Speaker 2: a pretty handy rugby player and you were you were
- 39:12Speaker 2: saying to us off here just before in regards to
- 39:15Speaker 2: Karen reid Rick, and you could have folded him back
- 39:17Speaker 2: in the day.
- 39:17Speaker 5: You're looking you're looking for an opportunity out here on
- 39:20Speaker 5: the beach too, as you were saying, Neil, run it straight.
- 39:24Speaker 5: And I think Karen's pretty keen on that. So we'll
- 39:26Speaker 5: get a bit of footage for that field Instagram.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll just hold it there. We'll go to a tune. Look,
- 39:32Speaker 2: it's a bit of green day and we'll be back with.
- 39:36Speaker 1: The Hidarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Keyzy tune in.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Four on Radio Queens of the Stone Age. Here on
- 39:44Speaker 2: the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this Wednesday afternoon, we've got
- 39:48Speaker 2: cricket legend, Neil Wagner and the Spa with the fellas. Now, Neil,
- 39:53Speaker 2: one of the keys to the Black Clash, of course,
- 39:55Speaker 2: is the preparation, Mate, They're they're pretty famous for the preparation.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Looking forward to that, getting together with the fellows before
- 40:02Speaker 2: the match and maybe having a few quiets.
- 40:04Speaker 10: I that's the fun part of it. And yeah, definitely mate.
- 40:07Speaker 10: That probably depends on how fast or how vicious you bowl.
- 40:11Speaker 10: I guess the next day, Yes, a couple of beers
- 40:13Speaker 10: and it would be quite nice. But hey, it's just
- 40:16Speaker 10: an awesome event to be able to I mean obviously,
- 40:18Speaker 10: you know, I guess rub shoulders she those moments of
- 40:22Speaker 10: you know, like legends of the game, like the rugby players.
- 40:25Speaker 10: You know you've always watched them on TV go about
- 40:27Speaker 10: their business. Now to be able to play with a
- 40:28Speaker 10: cricket against them and you know, have a good time
- 40:30Speaker 10: with them, Yeah, a couple of good moments in panted
- 40:33Speaker 10: be quite nice.
- 40:34Speaker 5: Of course, mister cricket, Michael Hussey is going to be
- 40:37Speaker 5: shown up one of the legends of Australian sport. He's
- 40:40Speaker 5: actually he seems to be quite a nice guy, which
- 40:43Speaker 5: is which is weird for Australian cricketers. Did you have
- 40:45Speaker 5: you ever cross parts with him before?
- 40:47Speaker 11: I haven't him before. Mate.
- 40:48Speaker 10: He's an absolute champions fok. So yeah, he's definitely a
- 40:51Speaker 10: nice sosie, that's for sure. So mate, Yeah, they've definitely
- 40:55Speaker 10: pulled into big guns team rugby. So his quality of
- 40:58Speaker 10: play obviously still still thing. Give me, you know, a handful.
- 41:01Speaker 10: So yeah, looking forward to that.
- 41:03Speaker 5: Chentleman.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Tell me are you still playing though, Yeah, seemi retired,
- 41:08Speaker 2: but a little bit of cricketing action still, Yes, it's
- 41:10Speaker 2: a little bit of cricket action.
- 41:11Speaker 5: Retired, that's where you want to keep playing. But nobody
- 41:14Speaker 5: will heavy or what is.
- 41:14Speaker 11: It when you just hang on?
- 41:18Speaker 3: Isn't that when you retire? But you've just got to
- 41:20Speaker 3: see me all the time?
- 41:23Speaker 5: Come on, come on, But you must be keen to
- 41:28Speaker 5: get around some of the T twenty set ups around
- 41:30Speaker 5: the world. There seems to be a thousand of them.
- 41:32Speaker 10: Like you said, semi retired means you get wanted for
- 41:35Speaker 10: some of the Yeah, yeah, you sort of put your
- 41:38Speaker 10: hand up and.
- 41:38Speaker 11: Say I'm available. But it's all the luck of getting picked.
- 41:41Speaker 10: And this couple of these old man's leagues floating around
- 41:44Speaker 10: which seemed to play right mates to trying to keep
- 41:46Speaker 10: the body in some sort of nick and condition to
- 41:48Speaker 10: play some form of cricket when when pulled upon and
- 41:50Speaker 10: never know of injuries.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Neil Wagner keysy here again, hope you will.
- 41:56Speaker 4: What's the most sort of you know, I don't want
- 41:58Speaker 4: to say steamed, but like you know, what's the most
- 42:01Speaker 4: hungover you've been when playing a game of high level cricket,
- 42:04Speaker 4: because that could be a reality come black clash time.
- 42:08Speaker 10: Yeah, I would say last time I was hungover playing
- 42:10Speaker 10: a game of cricket was club cricket way back in
- 42:12Speaker 10: the day and extplained right. I'm a bit older now,
- 42:14Speaker 10: so I don't know how that's going to affect the body,
- 42:16Speaker 10: but I'm well mate, how you.
- 42:18Speaker 5: Thanks for asking?
- 42:18Speaker 3: Finally someone asks just on that.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Actually, one of the worst days I ever had umpiring
- 42:24Speaker 2: Neil was being hungover. It's a terrible way to spend
- 42:28Speaker 2: the day being an umpire and staying out in the
- 42:30Speaker 2: field for eight hours making decisions while you're throwing up
- 42:33Speaker 2: quietly in your mouth.
- 42:35Speaker 10: So just don't do the hangover to just it's not
- 42:38Speaker 10: worth it. I feel like you've got to get back
- 42:40Speaker 10: on and made to feel. Yeah, if you hungover, it's
- 42:44Speaker 10: your own fault. You sort of probably have to get
- 42:46Speaker 10: back on the hook.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Will you strike me as a sort of person quite seriously,
- 42:50Speaker 2: you know you're a pretty serious sportsman. I can't imagine
- 42:53Speaker 2: you're doing that kind of thing. I can see you're
- 42:55Speaker 2: getting fired up after the match, but not before it.
- 42:59Speaker 2: There is that is that defense.
- 43:01Speaker 11: Yeah, defense defends mate. I don't know if.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Everybody else is on it. Neil, surely you've got you've
- 43:07Speaker 5: got a duty to your teammate.
- 43:10Speaker 10: It comes to nurse to mate. Yeah, yeah, a bot
- 43:13Speaker 10: of red wine before the boxing their tests. I had
- 43:14Speaker 10: to do that, so yeah, so probably probably.
- 43:21Speaker 11: The way to go.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Well, Neil, thanks for joining us, mate. I'm very much
- 43:25Speaker 2: looking forward to seeing your play actually sell the fells,
- 43:28Speaker 2: and I'm very much enjoying you steaming into old here
- 43:32Speaker 2: and read. That's gonna be one doozy of a class.
- 43:36Speaker 11: It will make some good bearing.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Mate, just quickly as well. If you want to see
- 43:40Speaker 4: Neil Wagner play Black Class, dot Co dot in Z.
- 43:43Speaker 4: Tickets are officially on sale today. It always sells out
- 43:46Speaker 4: to actually getting quick.
- 43:47Speaker 3: What are we going to here?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Jason the Green Day, I think, yeah, the whole archy
- 43:54Speaker 1: big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune in four
- 43:58Speaker 1: on radio.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Indeed, welcome back your massive backbones Old Waggers A feels Wagman.

- 44:08Speaker 4: intimidating bastard when he's playing cricket.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Yes, and I thought That was very bold of Kieren
- 44:13Speaker 2: earlier in the show to talk about how he wants
- 44:15Speaker 2: him to be fully fired up. He doesn't want him
- 44:17Speaker 2: become in half cocked. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So that's going

- 44:50Speaker 3: What was it the red hot Chili peppers.
- 44:55Speaker 2: That's not the name of the burger.

- 45:02Speaker 5: Read something man definitely, But anyway, I'm looking forward to it.
- 45:06Speaker 2: How was the plunge in the ocean there, fellas, because
- 45:08Speaker 2: you did it, you ran from the sparpoole had a
- 45:11Speaker 2: plunge in the surf? What was what sort of temperature
- 45:14Speaker 2: was bloody cold.
- 45:15Speaker 5: But I wasn't anticipating that Kezy would be such a
- 45:18Speaker 5: weak swimmer, so I had to save him. He was
- 45:20Speaker 5: screaming out, help me, Maggie, Help me, Maggie. So I
- 45:22Speaker 5: dragged him onto the beach. We just managed to make
- 45:24Speaker 5: it back in time for the next plait, didn't we Keezy?
- 45:26Speaker 5: And as you see the band, you owe me your life.
- 45:29Speaker 2: But it's all good.
- 45:29Speaker 5: We're all scored. No.
- 45:30Speaker 4: The thing was, I wasn't yelling help me, Maggie, help me,
- 45:33Speaker 4: mag I was going, look at me, Mogi, you look
- 45:34Speaker 4: at it.
- 45:34Speaker 3: He thought I was drowning.
- 45:35Speaker 4: He dragged me to the shore and then started doing
- 45:37Speaker 4: CPR on me, and I was trying to stop him.
- 45:39Speaker 5: I knew you were alive at that point. I was
- 45:41Speaker 5: just kissing you.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Ah.
- 45:47Speaker 3: What are we going to here? Jason?
- 45:50Speaker 2: Oh you mean music wise?
- 45:52Speaker 3: I don't know, man anything.

- 46:15Speaker 2: I've got to be honest with you. It's got a
- 46:18Speaker 2: little bit chilly. The sun's gone behind the clouds, fellas,
- 46:22Speaker 2: there's a real wind blowing across the beach here, and
- 46:27Speaker 2: Keysy desperately needs to do wheeze.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Well, that's the thing, Jason, I think we should be
- 46:31Speaker 3: a little bit of honesty here. Mogi's now hopped out. Yes,
- 46:34Speaker 3: So the thing is, I'm the only one now in
- 46:36Speaker 3: the hot tub, right, so I can't do wheeze in
- 46:39Speaker 3: a pool like, I just can't do it.
- 46:40Speaker 4: My body will not allow me. But no one's going
- 46:42Speaker 4: to be in here after me, and they're going to
- 46:45Speaker 4: drain it onto the sand.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Right Should I do wheeze in the hot tub?
- 46:48Speaker 5: But you see your physically can't.
- 46:49Speaker 3: No, I know, But I think if I if I
- 46:51Speaker 3: get enough encouragement and like you know, and you guys
- 46:54Speaker 3: sort of chit chat to me while I do it, yeah,
- 46:56Speaker 3: I might be able to let it out.
- 46:57Speaker 5: I'm not talking to you while you do it. Do it?
- 47:01Speaker 2: Do one for the can I just if you go
- 47:03Speaker 2: on our Instagram page. I don't know if it's up yet,
- 47:06Speaker 2: but you've already done a steamer in the spa. So
- 47:08Speaker 2: I don't see what.
- 47:10Speaker 3: There was a joke.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Oh yeah, right, I didn't do booze in this spar
- 47:13Speaker 5: Come on, man, Keesy is genuinely struggling here.
- 47:16Speaker 3: He wants to get out, but he's too coldies, I've
- 47:19Speaker 3: been like three hours in this.
- 47:21Speaker 5: He didn't bring suitable clothing. He has got a towel,
- 47:24Speaker 5: but he's worried he's going to be too cold and
- 47:26Speaker 5: then he'll have to take his only jacket off. Pagsan,
- 47:28Speaker 5: who also came without suitable clothing.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Yes, but like so can you guys just chat to
- 47:33Speaker 4: me about stuff and I'll seriously try just mooging what
- 47:36Speaker 4: just talked.
- 47:36Speaker 5: Me through doing with some kind of sicko perversion that
- 47:40Speaker 5: you've got. If you expect me to talk to you
- 47:42Speaker 5: while you it will make you do wheeze. If the
- 47:46Speaker 5: sound of my voice is what's going to get you
- 47:48Speaker 5: over the line, keys, I'm reluctant to participate.
- 47:51Speaker 3: God, it's happening, guys, Yes, moogie there would keep going,
- 47:53Speaker 3: keep going.
- 47:54Speaker 2: J What what did you have for.

- 48:43Speaker 4: I'm starting to get very very cold.

- 49:43Speaker 5: I don't know. It just needs to have something a
- 49:45Speaker 5: little bit more cane, cutting edge. I think that people
- 49:48Speaker 5: from the who follow the show will understand, and then
- 49:51Speaker 5: other people think, oh it's a cool name.

- 51:38Speaker 2: off with that?

- 51:40Speaker 4: funky that everyone enjoys.
- 51:42Speaker 2: What was your favorite, Jason, I've got to say it
- 51:44Speaker 2: was very puksan es.
- 51:47Speaker 3: That is incredibly insulting. It was not pak Sani.
- 51:50Speaker 2: It was very dance night clubby at one point. And
- 51:56Speaker 2: I want to paint a picture with words if I might.

- 52:09Speaker 2: yummy boy music playing on the serio. There old Maggie
- 52:13Speaker 2: in the back seat, just screaming out noises, surping, beouching,
- 52:23Speaker 2: old Pugson, Effan and Jeff because he gets stuck behind
- 52:26Speaker 2: a truck. It's great stuff, isn't it.
- 52:28Speaker 5: It really is, Hoidy j You don't have him promise
- 52:31Speaker 5: not to vape in the car, vaping in the car, discussing,
- 52:34Speaker 5: chilling on all his gum swepping patches of his neck
- 52:37Speaker 5: just to try and mainlin a little bit of nicotine
- 52:40Speaker 5: because he's stuck in the car for three hours. Yeah,
- 52:42Speaker 5: I mean, pretty chill sort of stuff. I guess the
- 52:45Speaker 5: thing that concerns me most is that we're going to
- 52:47Speaker 5: have to head back up to the nine, and I'm
- 52:50Speaker 5: a little bit concerned about Pugson's driving capabilities when he
- 52:55Speaker 5: has to overtake anything. He drops down to sort of
- 52:58Speaker 5: seventy eighty and one hundred k z. Yeah, it fills
- 53:01Speaker 5: me really with a great concern for my own safety.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm going to be honest with you. Drives like
- 53:07Speaker 2: Banana and she hasn't driven for ten years now.

- 53:21Speaker 5: into oncoming trip that's right.

- 53:26Speaker 2: Mate.
- 53:26Speaker 3: You just you know, just just get us there.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Can I tell you a little story on that front there, fellas,

- 53:33Speaker 2: wife said to me, who's driving? And I said, oh,
- 53:37Speaker 2: pagsan And she said, and I quote, oh god.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Really And my wife said, oh you better leave early.

- 53:52Speaker 5: Oh absolutely, haunched over the wheel there, mag Did you
- 53:56Speaker 5: bring the booster to see?
- 53:58Speaker 2: Well?

- 55:36Speaker 5: own back. Could have easily have got it out a
