- 0:22Speaker 3: Welcome to Revealing Wholeness podcast dedicated to revealing the profound
- 0:26Speaker 3: connections between body, mind, and spirit, where we believe that
- 0:29Speaker 3: true wellness arises from addressing the root causes of our
- 0:32Speaker 3: health challenges, not just masking the symptoms. Here we dive
- 0:35Speaker 3: deep into how holistic approaches such as advanced chiropractic care,
- 0:39Speaker 3: personalized nutrition, and natural healing practices can transform your life.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Now Here is doctor Troy.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Hello and welcome. I'm doctor Troy. I had a client
- 0:58Speaker 1: in not long ago and they were just surprised at
- 1:04Speaker 1: how after even just one adjustment, they said they felt
- 1:08Speaker 1: ten times better, and they reported how much looser their
- 1:13Speaker 1: muscles were, how much more flexible they were. They were
- 1:15Speaker 1: just they were just so surprised. And I told them
- 1:20Speaker 1: often what I tell clients, which I don't know that
- 1:23Speaker 1: I've reported on, but it's fun to at least know.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Way back, probably eighteen twenty years ago, I was at
- 1:31Speaker 1: a seminar where they talked about a scientific paper that
- 1:34Speaker 1: they had reviewed, and this was on motor vehicle crashes.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And they said that these scientists, you know, they're kind
- 1:41Speaker 1: of searching for this frontier of new science, and when
- 1:48Speaker 1: they start doing that, they start really getting into a
- 1:52Speaker 1: lot of deep areas that are quite true, and they
- 1:55Speaker 1: tend to invade chiropractic. And so they did this study
- 1:59Speaker 1: on people that had neck muscle spasms. I told this
- 2:02Speaker 1: client of mine, and they injected the muscles themselves in
- 2:06Speaker 1: the neck with anesthesia, and the muscles took four minutes
- 2:09Speaker 1: to relax. Then they took a next group of neck
- 2:12Speaker 1: muscle spasm people and they said, well, instead of injecting
- 2:15Speaker 1: the muscle, we're going to inject the joint that the
- 2:17Speaker 1: muscle covers. And when they injected the joint, they were shocked,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and the muscle relaxed in two minutes. They did not anesthetize
- 2:26Speaker 1: the muscle, they just anesthetize the joint, and yet the
- 2:29Speaker 1: muscle relaxed in two minutes, half the time of injecting
- 2:32Speaker 1: the muscle with anesthesia. They're like, that's crazy. And then
- 2:36Speaker 1: they got the brilliant idea of, well, if the joint
- 2:39Speaker 1: seems to be more important, let's get a chiropractor in
- 2:41Speaker 1: there and let's see what happens. So then they took
- 2:44Speaker 1: this third group of neck muscle spasm people and they
- 2:46Speaker 1: had a chiropractor adjust them, and as soon as they
- 2:49Speaker 1: mobilized the joint or got the joint to cavitate as
- 2:52Speaker 1: we call it, or pop, the muscle spasm relaxed in
- 2:56Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty milliseconds a quarter of a second.
- 3:02Speaker 1: No anesthesia, no nothing. And I told this client, it said,
- 3:06Speaker 1: the beautiful thing about chiropractic is the moment that we
- 3:09Speaker 1: adjust that joint, not only do the muscles relax, but
- 3:16Speaker 1: the joint lining and tendons in the joint that all
- 3:20Speaker 1: gets communication and that relaxes. Then the nerve that comes
- 3:24Speaker 1: out from that joint of the spine also has less
- 3:28Speaker 1: tension on it. And then wherever that nerve goes to
- 3:31Speaker 1: whatever organ, Let's say it's your stomach and you have
- 3:33Speaker 1: indigestion or acid reflux, or it goes to your heart
- 3:37Speaker 1: and you have palpitations or high blood pressure, or it
- 3:40Speaker 1: goes to your kidneys and you have swollen ankles, or
- 3:43Speaker 1: it goes to your bowels and you have constipation, and
- 3:45Speaker 1: all of a sudden you find all that stuff being corrected.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It's because the adjustment affects the entire nervous system directly,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and that's what makes people feel so darn good and
- 4:00Speaker 1: better health ensues. It's just that simple. And so there
- 4:05Speaker 1: are many things that chiropractors do, but we don't treat symptoms.
- 4:13Speaker 1: We treat the cause. And that's a huge, huge distinction. Yes,
- 4:18Speaker 1: people come in with pain, but I don't say, Okay,
- 4:21Speaker 1: we're going to treat your pain. Hey, I have a headache,
- 4:25Speaker 1: got it. Let's get you adjusted so that the nerves
- 4:29Speaker 1: can relax, the joints can relax, the muscles can relax,
- 4:33Speaker 1: the ligaments can relax, the communication can flow at one
- 4:36Speaker 1: hundred percent. We can change blood flow, and how your
- 4:40Speaker 1: liver detoxifies the body, how your digestive system works, how
- 4:44Speaker 1: your stress load is. Everything changes at the moment of
- 4:47Speaker 1: the adjustment. And so it's why it's so powerful and
- 4:52Speaker 1: so simple to get adjusted. And why when parents understand this,
- 4:57Speaker 1: they want their children adjusted. Who doesn't want their children
- 5:00Speaker 1: to have the best possible outcomes that they could have
- 5:04Speaker 1: in their lifetime. How can I undo stress and help
- 5:07Speaker 1: my children's bodies perform at optimal their entire life so
- 5:12Speaker 1: that they don't have diseases or at least have a
- 5:14Speaker 1: lot less chance of getting them. How can I make
- 5:17Speaker 1: that happen for my friends and my family who I
- 5:19Speaker 1: want to spend my life with and have fun with.
- 5:22Speaker 1: How can I play my sports at a higher level
- 5:24Speaker 1: without getting the possibility of or injury or at least
- 5:28Speaker 1: happening a lot less. This is what chiropractic does on
- 5:32Speaker 1: a daily basis, over and over and over, and I
- 5:37Speaker 1: never seem to get tired of it. I hope this
- 5:39Speaker 1: was helpful. Until next time, I'm doctor Troy, and remember
- 5:43Speaker 1: there really is way more right with you than there
- 5:46Speaker 1: is wrong with you.
