Transcript
- 0:01Hey Instagram, what's going on? Also anybody watching over on
- 0:05Facebook and YouTube what's going on?
- 0:08We're going to wait for a little bit more people to come in and
- 0:10then we'll get started with the video.
- 0:12But basically in this video when we talking about and dealing
- 0:15with emotions autism Asperger's Syndrome dealing with emotions
- 0:18are doing with different emotions black and white versus
- 0:22kind of like the gray area in the middle.
- 0:25Let me know. Hey guys, let me know if you can
- 0:26hear me. Okay in the chat.
- 0:27Give me a like a heck. Yes done.
- 0:29We can hear you. So I need to know if you can
- 0:31hear me. All right, I'm using the
- 0:31microphone look a bit more professional, you know.
- 0:36Christmas mug because it's Christmas time anybody watching
- 0:37this on the replay. Hey, how's it going?
- 0:40Good to have you all here. Let me know you can hear me.
- 0:42Okay, so let me know in the chat.
- 0:45You can hear me good. All right, so I want to see this
- 0:48video a nice live video because usually I don't do live videos.
- 0:53But now I realize I could do these live videos in here then
- 0:55upload them to YouTube like you're watching right now if
- 0:57you're watching on YouTube and it's all well and good.
- 1:00So I want to excuse me. I just gosh got a bit of a cold
- 1:06going on today that oh, hey, Entice creative actually did a
- 1:10talk with them about I'll give them hugs.
- 1:13How's it going? All right.
- 1:14So let me watching on the replay on Facebook or YouTube or sorry
- 1:17that you're not in the live chat doesn't matter.
- 1:21It won't take away from the content.
- 1:22We're talking about here today. So basically I thought I do this
- 1:27video like this because that was the best way to do it rather
- 1:29than a sit-down video on YouTube.
- 1:30But if you want me to do more of a sit-down kind of academic
- 1:34looking at the academic side of it in the study side of it on
- 1:36YouTube. Let me know in the Comment
- 1:38section below if you're watching this on the replay on YouTube or
- 1:40Facebook and then I will upload that but I want to talk about
- 1:43the difference of understanding emotions and reading my own
- 1:46emotions dealing with those emotions.
- 1:48So and I want to use a classic example because the feeling was
- 1:51raw and and it's difficult. So people on the Spectrum who
- 1:54have autism Asperger syndrome, they have a difficulty
- 1:57understanding their own emotions.
- 1:58Like they don't know how to properly kind of like show those
- 2:05emotions. How do I how do I deal with
- 2:06them? How do I communicate?
- 2:07Emotions out there because it's very black and white.
- 2:10So some things are the one way or the other way.
- 2:12So for instance, I can be really really sad about something and
- 2:18I'm really sad about it, but then I can be also instantly
- 2:21happy about something. I'll be really happy about it
- 2:24that kind of Middle Ground that gray area.
- 2:28Is non-existent for me so it doesn't really I can't just be
- 2:31like a little bit I have to eat everything on nothing.
- 2:34You know, I mean, it's like that whole mean with a light switch
- 2:36between my emotions on or off as like that's it.
- 2:39And so the interesting thing that I want to talk about is I
- 2:43was really involved with a political campaign that's
- 2:46happened here in the UK. So pretty much this week or the
- 2:49week just gone. We had a general election here
- 2:52in the UK. And the general election was
- 2:57between to put two political parties with it was loads
- 2:59involved but there's only two main ones and that's heavily
- 3:01involved with Her Majesty's opposition.
- 3:03I work quite closely with the Labour party and I did a lot of
- 3:08work with them and I spend a lot of money from them and I put a
- 3:10lot of money in there and I donate to a lot of Charities
- 3:12that are involved with them and all those kind of things anyway,
- 3:15but I was emotionally attached to it and eight.
- 3:19I know the leader of the party or that they actually do
- 3:21particle Jeremy corbyn actually know his And so I was quite
- 3:25involved with labor party and really kind of like, you know
- 3:29there with them basically and then the general election
- 3:31happened and unfortunately the rhetoric of brexit kind of took
- 3:35over and it became another referendum here in the UK and
- 3:37the conservative party. Got it.
- 3:39Now. I had an epidemic meltdown
- 3:43almost psychological breakdown because because I'd felt Despair
- 3:52and give me just a second guys. Yeah, I felt despair because
- 3:59like I said my emotions were like I can only be really happy
- 4:06really sad. So when the when the election
- 4:10came out and then obviously the the far right kind of extreme
- 4:15party got in. I got really sad without drug me
- 4:17excessively into anger and and I became so like I'm swamped in
- 4:21negativity and anger and I kind of couldn't I couldn't hardly
- 4:24see my eyes were so foggy literally actual foggy and that
- 4:29stress and I couldn't really talk about it.
- 4:30I can't communicate my emotions that well so my girlfriend was
- 4:32like asthma right and I didn't know and then all my friends my
- 4:35Facebook would just like messaging me like you okay, like
- 4:37what's going on and and it's kind of like it was it was it
- 4:42was consuming me like this, there's negative angle because I
- 4:45was scared, you know fear kind of it consumed me but there was
- 4:47no way to communicate that so nobody ever was off course long
- 4:49as I don't really know. I can't like I don't know what's
- 4:52wrong. I just feel a certain way and
- 4:56Was it was really interesting? Because like it had been even a
- 5:00long campaign, you know, and and it was a quite emotionally
- 5:04exhausting because you put all your emotions and something to
- 5:06try and help like the homeless people and disabled people and
- 5:08people who are sick and in desperate need and then everyone
- 5:11votes against it was quite damaging that was a damaging
- 5:16kind of like thing for my sake. So this is interesting.
- 5:19So I mental health of a massive kick and it's funny that my
- 5:23mental health is a huge kick in the Ghoulies.
- 5:27My autism doesn't allow me to see that middle ground that gray
- 5:30area where like okay, there's you know, there's a way that I
- 5:37don't know. You know, I can't even explain
- 5:41like there's a there's a gray area.
- 5:43So Because my emotions don't deal with gray area.
- 5:48Well, I couldn't kind of like rationally think so my brains
- 5:51want to complete meltdown. So then I kind of like just just
- 5:56shut down and I started like just cutting people in my life
- 5:58because I couldn't talk to them because I didn't know how to
- 6:00talk how to communicate with them.
- 6:01Like, how do I communicate with somebody who I felt had done the
- 6:04wrong thing, which is obviously, you know, just an opinion in the
- 6:07day. It was very difficult.
- 6:09So then we flip that over and then we have the fact that then
- 6:14I kind of of a kind of snapped out of it quite quickly because
- 6:18then I realized that there was other things I could do that can
- 6:20make me happy was really quite interesting.
- 6:21So I went from being excessively sad like, you know, all the very
- 6:24damaging Lee mentally unstable for like two days that exhausted
- 6:30me a chameleon. I had a Catholic stress
- 6:32blindness and stuff. It was really it was quite it
- 6:35was quite difficult to watch and then like literally the same day
- 6:38that I was feeling all these emotions.
- 6:40I met up with some people who also helped me run the campaign
- 6:44and then we talked Project move on the future and all when we
- 6:47instantly felt better and and it was quite it was quite weird.
- 6:51You know, like I've never had no experience that kind of level of
- 6:54feeling down and and because of that it was I thought I'd I
- 7:02thought I try to explain to you guys because you guys all know
- 7:04that the whole thing better my girlfriend can't deal with it.
- 7:07And this is why she kept the what she's like Knott County
- 7:10with it was wrong with say what work shows a she can't
- 7:12understand it because she was like one minute.
- 7:14I'm excessively like sad like despair likely the end of
- 7:18everything and then the next minute I'm like, oh, yeah.
- 7:21I'm absolutely fine now and then so it's like it's like up and
- 7:24down. There's no kind of like, oh, you
- 7:25know, I'm feeling a bit down but let's go on with things.
- 7:27It's almost like I'm completely immobilized or and completely
- 7:31energized and activate its going to do stuff and it's
- 7:34interesting. I don't know if anyone else
- 7:35feels like this and get this way as well, but it's quite
- 7:38frustrating because There's no because of the way my mind works
- 7:41when my neurological path of in my brain work.
- 7:44It's hard to find that kind of like, oh, yeah reason for
- 7:49between the black and the white my girlfriend is neurotypical
- 7:55and she's really good. Actually, it's usually good to
- 7:58help me try to figure out but my goodness, it's crazy when you're
- 8:01that when you're that depressed and but this is the this is the
- 8:04kind of roller coaster part of the that I wanted to just ask us
- 8:07because I was like super depressed like mannequin
- 8:11manically depressed and it instantly a bank just back up to
- 8:14normal speed just just a couple of hours apart, you know, and
- 8:18that kind of to me that seems normal so I go okay.
- 8:20I'm over it but my girlfriend's like how do you get like, how
- 8:23did you go from being like that to being being not and I think
- 8:25it's it's the way that black and white again, you know, there's
- 8:28either extremely sad or extremely happy.
- 8:31There's no like I'm a lot of a sudden look we're happy, you
- 8:33know, there's no in between and then I found it quite
- 8:36fascinating quite difficult to deal with but I'd love to If
- 8:38anyone else ever comes across those kind of difficulties.
- 8:43Hey greetings from Australia here.
- 8:44And how's it going? Because yeah, I want to know I
- 8:49do I like it. No, I do I do.
- 8:52I wish it was better. I wish I could deal with with
- 8:55emotions better and I wish I could deal with like feeling
- 8:58down or depressed better. Obviously that's like an
- 9:01ongoing, you know mental health issue.
- 9:03Hey, thank you for loving my videos here from the UK and I
- 9:06think that you know, I don't know if I can I don't know.
- 9:10I'd love to know I'd love to be able to see that Grey area.
- 9:13Maybe it's a good thing. I don't see Graham.
- 9:14It was good to have just that like one extreme to the other,
- 9:17you know, and and it's it's if it's a gray zone is confusing
- 9:20and anxiety starting. Well, yeah, I think like like
- 9:25you get like maybe it is and maybe it's that transition from
- 9:28black to white. Is that the anxious part because
- 9:31then I go from being anxious to being extremely depressed and I
- 9:34had like that was probably the biggest burn out man.
- 9:37Down shut down I've ever had it was all of those things in one
- 9:42and it was it was scary to say the least because I felt really
- 9:49suck. Like I felt so down.
- 9:51I didn't know what I was doing anymore with life.
- 9:53You know, I felt like oh my goodness.
- 9:54What am I even doing anymore? Because you kind of you can't
- 9:57see anything else to kind of focus on that one thing and that
- 10:00one thing happened to be negative energy.
- 10:01But now I'm still focusing on the happy things and the good
- 10:03things and the positive energy and the active support moving
- 10:06forward, but But gray areas and and all that middle ground don't
- 10:11exist to me and it's difficult when I wish I could see gray
- 10:15because I think it makes things a little bit easier.
- 10:17But at the same time I'm glad my brain works the way it does and
- 10:20I'm happy that I'm able to do all the things I can do.
- 10:23Really I think to meet what to me.
- 10:24Anyway, I think it's a It's a interesting thing hate from New
- 10:29Zealand. So what are your thoughts?
- 10:30Do you guys understand the gray area?
- 10:32Do you have the black and white thought process is Everything
- 10:35All or Nothing of can you just go half and half if you don't
- 10:40want and also I'd like to know some techniques on it.
- 10:42Maybe I should look at maybe we should do a proper video on it
- 10:44not just live video because maybe we should look at like the
- 10:46definitions of like, you know, what how to bridge that in
- 10:50between part because I don't know if it's healthy going from
- 10:52excessively depressive to excessively happy.
- 10:56Then just stay in there, you know, it's not like, you know, I
- 11:00don't know it's not it's not like it's not like you're going
- 11:03like that and you've got like manic depressive personality
- 11:05disorder. It's like I'm extremely
- 11:07depressed and I'm extremely happy to carry little puffs of
- 11:09being happy and until something else knocking down another go
- 11:12back to being happy, but it's not, you know, it's frequent as
- 11:15a manic-depressive I guess. How do you feel about online
- 11:21therapy like seven cups or talk space guys?
- 11:24Actually, I am trying out a new one.
- 11:26I'm trying on up a mental health counseling app, which I will be
- 11:30giving you guys access too soon because they wanted me to just
- 11:34try it out. And so they give me the free
- 11:35access to try out. So I'm going to try it out and
- 11:37if if I like it I'm going to promote it and you guys will
- 11:40have I'm sure you guys get a discount code if you get my
- 11:43link, but anyway, they'll alright is coming with a
- 11:45company. And I'll tell you more about it
- 11:48when it's ready, but I want to test out first because I don't
- 11:50want to do send you something which is just rubbish.
- 11:52You know, I want to test it out because I'm looking at different
- 11:54ones and you absolutely right not does online counseling local
- 11:56and on counseling works. So there's online counseling
- 11:58with me be I'm hoping so I'm hoping this one is I actually
- 12:01have a counseling session this this week on the 20th of
- 12:04December, which is Friday Saturday, Friday Friday in the
- 12:11evening and it's gonna be good and I'm hoping to see you know,
- 12:13if it works really well, then I can promote it to you guys. so
- 12:18in terms of emotions, I think that this is one of the causes
- 12:20of the shutdown's is because we're not feeling of wild on the
- 12:23motion and I can't kind of like Express that I mean with that is
- 12:27the gray area but no normal talking really expresses my
- 12:33emotion, but that physical like boom hitting that Rock Bottom
- 12:37low depressive state is kind of like my emotions kind of coming
- 12:39out and rocking out a little bit and I think that that is
- 12:44difficult to deal with because I'd love to be able to just
- 12:46explain I'm feeling the same way, but I just feel like I lost
- 12:49you know where government setting like, okay.
- 12:51So how you know how you feel about it?
- 12:52Why do you feel so sad? I'm like, I've no idea.
- 12:54I can't explain it and I try and explain it and it just like I
- 12:59don't even know I like the only I could say to us.
- 13:00I felt detached from reality. I felt like outside of that like
- 13:05and it sounds weird and it's not that you're going to get mad
- 13:07when you say it starts from reality, but I didn't mean it
- 13:09like that. I mean like I couldn't
- 13:11communicate with what I was seeing and no way to relate to
- 13:15the environment that I was presented with.
- 13:17I mean how you know and that's that's honest, you know, that's
- 13:19how I felt and it was weird and scary at the same time.
- 13:23Maybe T talks with Dan should be like a thing green tea and
- 13:27Christmas mug this time, even though I do have like a bunch of
- 13:29different ones, but there's a Christmas like and yeah, maybe
- 13:32we should do to time every week at this time.
- 13:34But but yeah, but so that was the thing, you know, I don't
- 13:38have healthy. I don't know if it's unhealthy.
- 13:40I don't know if it's normal if it's your typical for people on
- 13:43the Spectrum and but you know, I think it was definitely
- 13:47something I wanted to talk about because it's that black and
- 13:49white thinking, you know, it's everything on a thing and The in
- 13:53between parts so difficult and I think that that in-between part
- 13:58actually causes so much stress because I'm trying to think
- 14:03about it. I'm trying to figure out but it
- 14:04just doesn't compute and then it just has a backlash doesn't it?
- 14:07And it just me, you know lashing out and then getting kind of
- 14:12super depressed. And also I have this thing, you
- 14:13know, when you're hitting that when you hit that Rock Bottom,
- 14:17it's that kind of like, you know, the punching walls or like
- 14:20hit my head and stuff because Cuz it's kind of like my body's
- 14:24like a like a knee-jerk reaction.
- 14:25I don't actually I'm not actually physically trying to
- 14:28them and actually actively thinking about a bunch like I
- 14:30hit myself book, it's weird. It's like I don't know and it's
- 14:34I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.
- 14:37You know, I wish I couldn't feel that negative energy and I wish
- 14:41I didn't react like I'm in a wish I didn't get depressed.
- 14:43But at the end of the day, I guess that we have to think
- 14:47about things in Balance if I didn't ever get depressed and
- 14:49how would I know what excessive happiness would be if I didn't
- 14:52have anything to I prefer the opposite and so I think maybe
- 14:55dark should exist to understand the light and that's a difficult
- 14:59thing to kind of comprehend. You know, we only know extreme
- 15:03gratitude because we see extreme Devastation.
- 15:06So yeah, I'm always grateful for things and idea of gratitude for
- 15:10everything and everyone that I'm not depressed.
- 15:13I've got a cheat for results. So what you think what you all
- 15:16must shift for autism, I actually did a video All About
- 15:18Elon Musk fixing autism or solving autism as he said with
- 15:22his company neural link the videos on my YouTube page.
- 15:25So if you go to my YouTube page, it's like the fifth video.
- 15:28I uploaded if you go back five videos.
- 15:30It was a video Elon musk's autism, especially in him like
- 15:33so yeah definitely check it out. And I don't know about it.
- 15:36I explained on the video. My feelings are going to go
- 15:38through it now because in this video was talking about, you
- 15:40know, the difference between like the dark that the the black
- 15:44and the white thinking, you know, there's no in-between part
- 15:47and I think it makes us wildly unique to have that ability of
- 15:50thinking and maybe that part of In comes into play in Great
- 15:54Moments where you have to make decisions and I'm quite good at
- 15:58making decisions about okay. I'm going to do this or I'm not
- 16:00going to do that. And I know who I am.
- 16:01My girlfriend says this is always an interesting trait
- 16:03about me. I know what I want and I don't
- 16:05want and I'll just do those things and that is a good
- 16:09quality for having my lighten my hip my black and white thinking
- 16:13No Gray in between because they're gray area because people
- 16:15uncertainty and hesitation and hesitation can cause accidents
- 16:19anxiety and all kinds of stuff. So yeah, maybe the black My
- 16:22thinking does come into it, but but yeah, and you know, that's
- 16:27how it is. I don't know.
- 16:29Anyway guys, let me know what you think about.
- 16:30I'd love to know your thoughts on the matter.
