- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Beca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast. Hello everybody,
- 0:13Speaker 1: we are scrubbing it out.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I'm sitting in tanya seat that she sits in for
- 0:21Speaker 1: the morning show and her volume is quite loud.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Yeah that's how I like life, loud and blaring.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Wow.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yeah, huh, Well I live a very quiet, calm life.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So this was jarring.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Mark and Easton were both blown away.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Rough, we needed Oh no, I was saying it was
- 0:41Speaker 1: high energy.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, great, rough and great because.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It's the first Monday of Spring forward, which is I
- 0:48Speaker 1: lose an hour of sleep.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So brutal this morning.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yeah, your text at six point thirty, I was like, nauseit. Well,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I was nauseous for multiple reasons, but I was increased
- 1:00Speaker 1: my nausea that I was already feeling.
- 1:02Speaker 4: I think the problem is because I can't go to
- 1:04Speaker 4: bed early on Daylight Savings for some reason. It's harder
- 1:07Speaker 4: for me to fall asleep obviously because it's an hour earlier,
- 1:12Speaker 4: and so then I end up staying up later than
- 1:14Speaker 4: I'm used to.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So then my alarm in the morning is.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Just like m tough, tough.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're struggling, but we're here.
- 1:23Speaker 1: We're here on a Monday. Yeah, when we're back in
- 1:27Speaker 1: the studio, all of us together, it's been.
- 1:29Speaker 5: A minute, has been a minute? That's great.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, last week we were in the Bahamas. Mark, wasn't there?
- 1:34Speaker 1: A week before we were in the oo, know we
- 1:37Speaker 1: were here? Wasn't here?
- 1:39Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Were we in the other studio at something a week before? Yeah?
- 1:45Speaker 2: We're nothing if not nimble.
- 1:48Speaker 5: We roll with those punches. Yeah, nimble quick, yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Put us wherever you want us and we
- 1:55Speaker 2: will podcast.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to throw us in the Bahama studio?
- 1:59Speaker 5: Bye bye, bad removed staff, willy nilly.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Make it work.
- 2:03Speaker 2: We'll make it work, rain or shine.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Well, that's what you get when you've been podcasting for
- 2:08Speaker 1: almost ten years. I know it'll be nine years this September.
- 2:12Speaker 2: September.
- 2:13Speaker 4: I was thinking about that the other day because someone
- 2:17Speaker 4: was like, are you still doing that podcast?
- 2:18Speaker 2: I was like yeah, yeah, and he goes, what do
- 2:21Speaker 2: you guys talk about? I was like, I don't know.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Tune in, tune in, Why don't you give.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Us the damad? It is funny. When I sat next
- 2:30Speaker 1: we flew back from the Bahamas, and I sat next
- 2:34Speaker 1: to this lovely gentleman who we were quiet the whole flight.
- 2:38Speaker 1: You know, it was a thirty minute flight from the
- 2:40Speaker 1: Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale. But at the end when we landed,
- 2:43Speaker 1: he was in the window seat. So he's like, oh,
- 2:45Speaker 1: he was showing me something that we were flying over that,
- 2:47Speaker 1: oh the hard Rock cafe, the big guitar building, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: so he's like, oh, have you ever seen this? And
- 2:54Speaker 1: I was like, oh, no, it's cool. So he was
- 2:56Speaker 1: really nice, and he was, you know, chit chatting with me,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and Tanya is in front of me. So I'm in
- 3:01Speaker 1: the middle seat. I have this guy next to me
- 3:02Speaker 1: and then Tanya Haley on my other side, and I
- 3:05Speaker 1: can see Tanya in front of me through the crack
- 3:07Speaker 1: of the chairs, also in her window seat, filming me,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and I don't know that.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I'm just laughing that she got sat next to a Tanya,
- 3:15Speaker 4: so like, I have to capture this.
- 3:17Speaker 1: But this man doesn't know that lore So I'm like
- 3:22Speaker 1: praying to God that he can't see her filming us.
- 3:26Speaker 1: And so I'm like chit chatting, trying to pay attention
- 3:29Speaker 1: to him, knowing that Tanya's like got her iPhone on me,
- 3:33Speaker 1: and I was going to where with that?
- 3:39Speaker 3: I think you got there, didn't you?
- 3:42Speaker 1: I don't know. I thought I had a point to me.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I actually enjoyed that.
- 3:46Speaker 4: You actually enjoyed having conversation with a stranger on an airplane.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sure, it's fine. I mean because we had landed.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm fining to talk once I've landed, because I'm already
- 3:55Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 3:57Speaker 3: By the way for a minute to start a conversation.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But what my point was that he asked, He was like, oh,
- 4:05Speaker 1: what were you in the Bahamas? Moara? Again, I'm trying
- 4:07Speaker 1: to explain that we were there doing a podcast at
- 4:09Speaker 1: this new podcast studio Baha Mar And he goes, oh,
- 4:13Speaker 1: what's your podcast about or what's your podcast called? And
- 4:17Speaker 1: I go, well, it's called Scrubbing In And he goes, oh,
- 4:20Speaker 1: it's like a medical podcast. I go no, we were
- 4:23Speaker 1: like obsessed with Gray's Anatomy and it kind of started there,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and it's just it's been almost nine years, so it's
- 4:31Speaker 1: you know, we get the name. Yeah, And he goes, oh, well,
- 4:34Speaker 1: what do you all talk about? And I was like, huh,
- 4:36Speaker 1: also a tough question. Just our lives me and this
- 4:41Speaker 1: girl who's filming us, she's.
- 4:44Speaker 2: A great, great way to slide it in there.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So yeah, it is. It's it's funny, it is. It
- 4:52Speaker 1: goes deep with the lore of scrubbing in because unless
- 4:56Speaker 1: you've been here from the beginning, how do you describe
- 4:58Speaker 1: it to somebody?
- 4:59Speaker 2: You can't. But I love that, like we're still doing it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: We do, We're still doing it. I like that, Yeah
- 5:08Speaker 1: we are.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I think it's nice. It is comforting.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Brings me comfort, and I hope it brings you all
- 5:14Speaker 1: comfort who are listening to me.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I will just uh.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Because Beccho was talking about the flight back, I got
- 5:20Speaker 4: sat next to a lady who decided to take her
- 5:22Speaker 4: shoes off.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Proceeded to.
- 5:29Speaker 4: And like, maybe this is my karma because I eat
- 5:31Speaker 4: like smelly food all the time.
- 5:33Speaker 2: But she put she had like you know how like
- 5:35Speaker 2: they have.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Those body oils and they're in like those small brown
- 5:39Speaker 4: containers essential oils. Essential oils. Yeah, because I was very
- 5:43Speaker 4: into them for a while, so I was familiar with
- 5:45Speaker 4: the bottle. But she smelled of this like the essential
- 5:48Speaker 4: oil that they ask you like if you want to
- 5:50Speaker 4: get a massage, like the one that you do not
- 5:52Speaker 4: want on you you know, like that's what she was
- 5:54Speaker 4: slathering all over her. It was like I saw her
- 5:56Speaker 4: pull it out of her backpack and like slathered it
- 5:58Speaker 4: on her wrist and then she went to go put
- 5:59Speaker 4: it on her feet, and I was like the bare
- 6:03Speaker 4: feet next to me was.
- 6:05Speaker 1: She had her bare feet out the whole time?
- 6:07Speaker 5: Dogs out, wild.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Dogs out on the plane might be one of the
- 6:11Speaker 1: craziest social What are you like a faux paul? I
- 6:16Speaker 1: don't know, whatever you call that, just like disrespect, the
- 6:20Speaker 1: lack of respect.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I couldn't get over it. And I don't know.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I don't know if she had tennis shoes on that
- 6:27Speaker 4: she slid off, or if she was wearing sandals. I
- 6:29Speaker 4: can't see because the shoes were under her backpack. Oh,
- 6:33Speaker 4: she could have been like Nativa's or something.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And still you should, if anything, just for the sake
- 6:38Speaker 1: of cleanliness, you keep them on, keep the germs away.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I agree.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Do you think she saw you before she sat down
- 6:45Speaker 1: and said I need to get my oils out and
- 6:47Speaker 1: lather up.
- 6:49Speaker 5: My black liquorc oils. You're being here.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Somewhere, so it was quite the journey.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah, where are you guys on? Removing shoes on a
- 6:58Speaker 3: flight now barefoot, I think we all can agree is reprehensible.
- 7:02Speaker 3: What about just slipping off your shoes. You're there in
- 7:04Speaker 3: your socks, Like, is that acceptablettom plan?
- 7:06Speaker 2: It's pretty gross.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So if it's a long overnight flight, I'm taking my
- 7:09Speaker 1: shoes off.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, long overnight flight.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a longer flight than three hours. I go
- 7:15Speaker 1: shoes off. Otherwise, my shoes are single on. Why do
- 7:17Speaker 1: I need to take them off?
- 7:19Speaker 4: I'd say five hours is appropriate to take your shoes off.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Yeah, five hours. I'm saying you sang three huh more
- 7:27Speaker 1: than three hours.
- 7:28Speaker 3: You're saying a three hour minimum for shoes off, tewing,
- 7:30Speaker 3: you're saying a five hour minimum.
- 7:31Speaker 2: For shoes off.
- 7:33Speaker 1: So you're saying, well, did you not take your shoes
- 7:35Speaker 1: off on the way to Florida? That was less than
- 7:39Speaker 1: five hours? It's five hours? Just right? Five? Okay?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:43Speaker 1: And you kept your shoes cross country and you kept
- 7:45Speaker 1: your shoes on?
- 7:46Speaker 2: No, I did not.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Well, I'm confused. I feel like I'm lost in the
- 7:49Speaker 1: sauce that's happening.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Let's cut even at four hours, so.
- 7:54Speaker 1: You need to keep them on if it's four hours,
- 7:58Speaker 1: ha ha, But that's still the same amount of time,
- 8:02Speaker 1: whether you're up or not. If you want to be
- 8:05Speaker 1: comfortable for that amount of time, mark where are you
- 8:08Speaker 1: standing on it.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I will slip my shoes off, but I leave my
- 8:11Speaker 3: socked my socked feet on my shoes. You know what
- 8:14Speaker 3: I'm saying, Oh.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Your feet don't leave the like sock, general realm of
- 8:19Speaker 5: the shoe.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Correct, They're right there with the shoes. So it's not
- 8:22Speaker 3: obvious to anyone that I have done this.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Oh, you're putting your shoes up in the overhead compartment
- 8:28Speaker 4: right and.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I'm not putting my sock up on the I don't know,
- 8:30Speaker 3: arm rest in front of me, anything like that. You're
- 8:32Speaker 3: not even gonna notice. But if I go to the bathroom,
- 8:34Speaker 3: those shoes are right back on. Walking to the bathroom
- 8:37Speaker 3: and socks or bare feet barf.
- 8:39Speaker 1: If you are if you, first of all, if your
- 8:44Speaker 1: dogs are out on the plane barefoot, jail time yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 1: If you're going to the restroom, dogs out wild.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Literal prison for life, yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And if you if you're dabbling with socks on in
- 8:59Speaker 1: the bathroom. Sometimes I look at the bathroom floor and
- 9:01Speaker 1: I'm like, did someone just did a man? Just like
- 9:04Speaker 1: throw weird?
- 9:07Speaker 4: I have to just tell myself that it's just like
- 9:09Speaker 4: water from the hand washing. I have to tell myself
- 9:12Speaker 4: that because I can't go down the darker path.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's upsetting.
- 9:16Speaker 2: It is upsetting.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Connectiquette is very fascinating.
- 9:18Speaker 2: It is not universal. It's not universal, not one size
- 9:21Speaker 2: fits all. No, it's not no.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And I'll be honest, Like when we when we went
- 9:26Speaker 1: to Japan in December, it's so fascinating how everything is
- 9:31Speaker 1: so clean and tidy and there's no trash anywhere, And
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'm like, what is it that Americans in their brains
- 9:39Speaker 1: can't keep things nice and clean? What is that?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's tough.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Like have respect for your things. You should be able
- 9:47Speaker 1: to go to a public restroom and not feel like
- 9:49Speaker 1: you were going to contract a disease.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I started flushing with my shoes. I used to
- 9:55Speaker 4: flush with my hands, not anymore.
- 9:58Speaker 5: That I'm kind of split on.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I am torn on.
- 10:01Speaker 5: That because then that just guarantees that the handles is
- 10:05Speaker 5: going to be filthy.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Yeah right, you're ruining it for future people.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Well, people have ruined it for me.
- 10:09Speaker 4: I the last time I touched one, it was wet,
- 10:12Speaker 4: and that is when I said game over.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I am not anymore.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Their foot up and had stepped on pea and then
- 10:18Speaker 1: they washed it with their foot.
- 10:19Speaker 4: If you sprinkle, why you tinkle, be as sweetie and
- 10:22Speaker 4: wipe the CD.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Oh that's lovely.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Okay, it's a great rhyme, I know, but nobody seems
- 10:27Speaker 2: to do that.
- 10:28Speaker 1: No, I That's what I'm saying.
- 10:29Speaker 2: It is, so now you get the shoe.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I just really encourage everyone to be thoughtful that maybe
- 10:34Speaker 1: someone's going to come in after you keep your socks on.
- 10:40Speaker 5: I did on the flight to the Bahamas. I wore
- 10:42Speaker 5: crocs on the plane for I think the first time.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I typically wear like regular shoes, and they say on
- 10:48Speaker 5: these crocs I wore had bare feet printed on top
- 10:51Speaker 5: of them, like it was there was a I think
- 10:53Speaker 5: I saw it was. Yeah. So some people thought I
- 10:56Speaker 5: had my dogs out when I was walking onto the plane,
- 10:59Speaker 5: which made me laugh.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Wow.
- 11:00Speaker 5: But I slipped them off for a little bit in
- 11:02Speaker 5: the middle of a flight, and I felt like I
- 11:03Speaker 5: was living so dangerously. I didn't have feet. I was
- 11:06Speaker 5: wearing socks in the crocs and crocks. Slipped them off
- 11:11Speaker 5: for like thirty seconds, stretch my feet, put the crocs
- 11:14Speaker 5: back on. I felt we're doing it.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I didn't like it.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad we got that out of the way
- 11:19Speaker 1: to know where everyone stands. But we're all on the
- 11:21Speaker 1: same page. Mostly.
- 11:25Speaker 2: There was other earth shattering news this weekend. I'm gonna
- 11:29Speaker 2: get get to make it back.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:35Speaker 5: If there's one thing our audience loves, it's commercial.
- 11:58Speaker 1: We're back, We're back. What happened this weekend?
- 12:06Speaker 4: So I don't know if you guys heard, but a
- 12:08Speaker 4: little guy by the name Harry Styles released an album
- 12:12Speaker 4: he did.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Is anybody as excited as I?
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think anyone in this room is as
- 12:20Speaker 1: excited as you are, but we're excited.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So it's called Kiss all the Time Disco occasionally, and
- 12:27Speaker 4: I have to say that this might be my favorite
- 12:31Speaker 4: work of art from Harry Styles himself. Wow, And it's
- 12:36Speaker 4: a lot of words. It's big words to say it
- 12:38Speaker 4: is it is? But I really mean it.
- 12:40Speaker 1: What can you tell us your highlights of the album?
- 12:43Speaker 4: Yes, So it's very funny because I was seeing a
- 12:46Speaker 4: lot of scuttle on the internet this weekend about like
- 12:50Speaker 4: some of the lyrics and how like he's saying not
- 12:53Speaker 4: a lot in this album. Some of the songs do
- 12:56Speaker 4: have some crazy ridiculous lyrics that don't seem to mean anything,
- 12:59Speaker 4: which I can give them credit for. But then there's
- 13:01Speaker 4: some deep meaning in some of these songs, so it's
- 13:03Speaker 4: like a it's a.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Mixed bag, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, which he's allowed
- 13:07Speaker 2: to do.
- 13:07Speaker 1: What were some of the outrageous lyrics that don't have meaning.
- 13:11Speaker 2: That I'd have to do a little digging on my phone?
- 13:13Speaker 4: Okay, but I think that it was in I think
- 13:16Speaker 4: it was in the Waiting Game or are you listening yet?
- 13:18Speaker 4: But my favorite favorite favorite song on the album is
- 13:21Speaker 4: American Girls.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I like that one too. That was what you predicted
- 13:25Speaker 1: you would love.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, I did, and I didn't know, Like I
- 13:29Speaker 4: knew nothing about the album, and I thought that'd be
- 13:30Speaker 4: my number one, and it is my number one.
- 13:32Speaker 2: My number two is Taste Back.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Oh I like to Tastepec too.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:36Speaker 4: My number three is ready said he go. And that's
- 13:39Speaker 4: my tops up, my top three. And then honorable mention
- 13:41Speaker 4: goes to Carla's song.
- 13:42Speaker 1: M We always love when there's a name in the song. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I listened up until coming up Roses and I haven't
- 13:52Speaker 1: finished out no because no no, I had it. I
- 13:57Speaker 1: kind of have had a weirdly busy weekend and I forgot.
- 14:02Speaker 1: But here's the thing. The first up until that point,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I realize all I want to do is garden and
- 14:09Speaker 1: go float in our pool hot tub and listen to
- 14:12Speaker 1: this album because it flows. It's like a flow, like
- 14:15Speaker 1: you just want to like Garden.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Garden.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I did not take any edibles. I listened to it
- 14:21Speaker 4: totally sober and enjoyed it thoroughly.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I know, but it makes me want I'm saying it
- 14:26Speaker 1: makes me want to do that.
- 14:27Speaker 4: It's an It's an album to be enjoyed sober or
- 14:30Speaker 4: under the influence.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Totally, and I want to do it under the influence.
- 14:35Speaker 2: So you're waiting until you're gonna do that?
- 14:37Speaker 1: No, no, no, I was saying. When I was listening
- 14:39Speaker 1: to it this morning, I was like, Oh, I just
- 14:41Speaker 1: want to get high and want to listen to this
- 14:43Speaker 1: and float in the pool. Oh but I I loved
- 14:47Speaker 1: Harry's How so much.
- 14:50Speaker 2: That did too.
- 14:51Speaker 1: That I'm so fascinated that you say it's your favorite
- 14:54Speaker 1: of all because Harry's House is one of my favorite albums,
- 14:56Speaker 1: just like period of any artist. I know.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Wow. I know it was big words, but I mean
- 15:02Speaker 2: them like I genuinely mean them.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I believe you.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yeah, and I actually it was like a big thing
- 15:07Speaker 4: because you know how Robbie feels by Harry styles jealous,
- 15:10Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Jealous, and only jealousy Robbie has ever shown.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Literally, And we were doing a lot of stuff on
- 15:17Speaker 4: the house this weekend, and so I kept asking him like, hey,
- 15:19Speaker 4: can we listen to Harry's album?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Can we listen to Harry's album? And we listened to
- 15:22Speaker 2: it five times? So he like, are so no speakers?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Which was a lot. Yeah, he loves it too, He
- 15:30Speaker 2: loves it too.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Wow.
- 15:31Speaker 4: I tried to get in to watch the Netflix special
- 15:35Speaker 4: that didn't go over so well. So I'll be watching
- 15:37Speaker 4: that on my own later today.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But you don't want to watch it? I mean no, Well, yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: it runs deep.
- 15:45Speaker 2: It runs deep. Yeah he knows the lore. Yeah, of course, yeah,
- 15:50Speaker 2: we all do. Yeah, and could have been heard about me,
- 15:54Speaker 2: but no proof or nying.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Yeah no, there's no denying.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Hey, did you ever figure out what scissor sisters meant?
- 16:05Speaker 1: Or we just still like hold both holding the scissors together.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I wasn't there for that, but I enjoyed that on Instagram.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I still haleys like does she does she get it?
- 16:20Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know, so.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I understand now, okay what scissor sisters are.
- 16:29Speaker 4: However, I still feel as though if we were to
- 16:33Speaker 4: have cut the ropes together, we would have been scissor sisters.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I mean every scissor sister has a scissor.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah. No, you can just be holding scissors, which doesn't
- 16:46Speaker 1: happen a lot though, Like it didn't even happen for us. Yeah,
- 16:49Speaker 1: I know.
- 16:50Speaker 2: We did not get to hold the scissors. Those were
- 16:52Speaker 2: one man scissor holds.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Tonya was pretty far away actually for all.
- 16:57Speaker 5: As far as you could be from the scissors. No,
- 17:00Speaker 5: I was so sad.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I was like the one person that wanted a scissor sister,
- 17:03Speaker 4: and like I got kicked to the curb.
- 17:06Speaker 1: You could have been a scissor brother and sister. Yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 1: just done it with you. Yeah, but okay, well I
- 17:11Speaker 1: was just checking in to make sure.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Thanks for the heads up in the moment, like we
- 17:16Speaker 4: got to leave a sister struggling.
- 17:18Speaker 1: A sister was struggling. Yeah, that's the high five. I
- 17:23Speaker 1: was like, I can't really high vibe you too hard
- 17:26Speaker 1: on this.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Why is that another innuendo?
- 17:30Speaker 1: Fine? No, because you're like Scissor Sister, and I was like, oh,
- 17:33Speaker 1: I can't do that, no, but I was laughing because.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Later was it.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Over the weekend, Tanya sends me this reel and she
- 17:43Speaker 1: was like, oh, I thought this would be cute for
- 17:44Speaker 1: us to do, and then they kissed at the end.
- 17:48Speaker 2: It was like this really cute, real like two best friends.
- 17:50Speaker 2: And it was like, I can't remember what the sentiment was.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I don't think they were best friend.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I thought they were best friends. And then at the
- 17:55Speaker 4: very end they just started making out. I was like, oh,
- 17:57Speaker 4: I wanted to recreate this, and then it just went
- 18:00Speaker 4: a different direction.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a fine line everything up until kiss. So yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 1: you ever see, I think our algorithm switched because of hers.
- 18:10Speaker 1: She's get.
- 18:15Speaker 4: You know what that reminded me of though I left
- 18:17Speaker 4: those when I went to go Scissor Sister, high five you.
- 18:20Speaker 4: I was wearing these bangles and I left the Bengals
- 18:23Speaker 4: in the studio in Baha Mar.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Yes, and they are my favorites. So now we have
- 18:28Speaker 2: to go back to get them.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Let's go anytime anytime? Oh man, Oh my gosh, how
- 18:36Speaker 1: wedding anniversary is coming up?
- 18:38Speaker 4: I know it's this weekend, which actually so last weekend,
- 18:42Speaker 4: we were going to the mall to like run some errands.
- 18:47Speaker 4: We had to like make some returns and like get
- 18:48Speaker 4: a couple of things, and then it was dinner time,
- 18:50Speaker 4: so we were just gonna have dinner at the mall
- 18:53Speaker 4: and Robbie was like, oh, like, I'm like looking forward
- 18:56Speaker 4: to like some like a date night with you, And
- 18:58Speaker 4: I was like, this is not a date night. We're
- 19:00Speaker 4: literally running errands and grabbing food at the mall. And
- 19:03Speaker 4: he was like, no, any quality time that we have
- 19:06Speaker 4: together is like a date night. It's Friday night. So
- 19:08Speaker 4: I post it on Instagram. And every time I post
- 19:11Speaker 4: something on Instagram to like get people on my side,
- 19:14Speaker 4: it always backfires and everybody always votes not on my side.
- 19:19Speaker 5: I was shocked by that day.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I'm with you on right.
- 19:22Speaker 5: I think it has to be a specifically plainned thing.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it's intentional, Like me and you are gonna go
- 19:27Speaker 4: have a meal and you're gonna dress cute or do
- 19:29Speaker 4: whatever you want and like pick you up at six hmmm,
- 19:32Speaker 4: five thirty.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I disagree.
- 19:35Speaker 2: You think going to the mall to return stuff is
- 19:37Speaker 2: a date.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Yeah, anything's a date if you want to make it
- 19:40Speaker 1: a date. Time together is a date.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Your settings where I need to be in life.
- 19:45Speaker 1: So if you were if you were just going and
- 19:47Speaker 1: doing errands and it was like business and there was
- 19:50Speaker 1: no dinner involved and like sitting down and like having
- 19:53Speaker 1: a meal together, I'd be like, sure, that's just running
- 19:55Speaker 1: errands and like.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But the dinner was just a product of the fact
- 19:59Speaker 2: of the time, which we were going to the mall.
- 20:01Speaker 1: But did y'all sit down and have a meal together?
- 20:03Speaker 2: We did, But just because it was dinner time and
- 20:06Speaker 2: it was at the mall, and it was at the mall.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It's a date. Nothing more romantic than an erin date
- 20:10Speaker 1: night at the mall.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Like, if Haley and I do that, she'd be like, Babe,
- 20:15Speaker 1: that was so fun. I had the best night with you.
- 20:19Speaker 1: She loves an errand she loves the mall.
- 20:22Speaker 5: I think if you and Robbie weren't married and you
- 20:24Speaker 5: did that, I would think you were in the friend zone.
- 20:26Speaker 1: That's what I said.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I was like, if we weren't married and some guy
- 20:29Speaker 4: said I want to take you to run errands with
- 20:31Speaker 4: me and go grab food for as a date, I'd
- 20:33Speaker 4: be like.
- 20:34Speaker 1: That's so intimate to me, going to run errands and
- 20:36Speaker 1: do returns together is like such an intimate thing to
- 20:40Speaker 1: do together. I'm not trying to do that with a stranger.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I want to do with a friend or with my partner.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Wow, this is very polarizing.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Clearly y'all need to romanticize life a little bit more.
- 20:52Speaker 4: I realized maybe I need to be like romanticize the
- 20:55Speaker 4: day to day, the mundane.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Nah, the mundane on the Monday, Monday, on a Monday.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'm actually shocked about you, Easton, Thank you Easton.
- 21:05Speaker 5: I mean, like I've done some we do daty things
- 21:09Speaker 5: all the time, but I really think that, like there
- 21:11Speaker 5: can't be a chore involved, because.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That you consider an air like a chore.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Yeah, even if we're having a blast, which we typically are,
- 21:18Speaker 5: it still is a date. If we're going to ikeaes.
- 21:22Speaker 2: You take for granted how much time we spent together.
- 21:25Speaker 5: I was like, whoaow.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Brah, he went there, he went there.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Well, it's only it's been a not only a year somehow,
- 21:35Speaker 1: it's been a year into y'all's wedding, which marriage a
- 21:40Speaker 1: year since the wedding? Yeah, yeah, year into your marriage. Sure, However,
- 21:45Speaker 1: the day like isn't that what you're celebrating on the
- 21:48Speaker 1: one year universary or.
- 21:49Speaker 2: One year marriage anniversary.
- 21:51Speaker 1: From when you got married at your wedding. Yeah, okay, okay,
- 21:57Speaker 1: what are y'all doing?
- 22:00Speaker 4: We are gonna go to dinner and we're gonna say
- 22:03Speaker 4: our vows to each other again, not like in front
- 22:07Speaker 4: of people, but like just to each other.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Could you imagine you saying up at the restaurant, We're like, hello, everybody, we.
- 22:14Speaker 1: It's our anniversary.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Yeah, please every every uh what do you call them?
- 22:21Speaker 1: You know, it's so funny. Okay, I have this idea
- 22:25Speaker 1: that if I it's just a concept, if you secretly
- 22:29Speaker 1: told all of your friends and family to come to
- 22:32Speaker 1: the restaurant and you rented out the restaurant, and then
- 22:35Speaker 1: Robbie showed up and it was everyone from the wedding
- 22:37Speaker 1: at the restaurant for your anniversary. You know, that's such
- 22:42Speaker 1: a fun concept. He's a tough.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Guy everyone on earth. Should I try to do that?
- 22:53Speaker 1: Maybe? No? It feels a little rush tight turn around,
- 22:58Speaker 1: but I think I could do it. But like you
- 23:00Speaker 1: walked it in and you run into somebody, You're like,
- 23:01Speaker 1: oh my god, hey, and then you look around and
- 23:03Speaker 1: it's everyone to be so funny.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I doubt I could get everyone, but I can't fight.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But oh, that's it, just like me, Paulleena Cynthia.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Last minute like that. I'm not giving people four days notice.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's a it's an idea.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It's a cute idea.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyway, so you're not gonna say your vows, but
- 23:23Speaker 1: you're going to say them to one of the Yeah.
- 23:24Speaker 4: We're gonna say we want to do that every year.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I think we decided every year we want to say
- 23:27Speaker 4: our vows to each other.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Has he found his vows?
- 23:30Speaker 1: No? Oh? Shoot, what kind of.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Dude just writes them on a piece of paper and
- 23:36Speaker 4: then hands them to his wedding planner? And then that
- 23:39Speaker 4: sea like what, I have my like saved on my
- 23:43Speaker 4: computer on a nice word document. I have my bridesmaid speech,
- 23:48Speaker 4: you have your bridesmaid speech, and my husband doesn't even
- 23:50Speaker 4: have his vows. Yeah, so then I guess Ryan took
- 23:54Speaker 4: them from us obviously at the ceremony, and Ryan put
- 23:59Speaker 4: them like his briefcase, and now they're like gone, dang,
- 24:03Speaker 4: Yeah that's tough. So he's gonna have to like watch
- 24:06Speaker 4: the video or something to get his I don't know
- 24:09Speaker 4: how he's gonna do it, but you'd better be doing it.
- 24:13Speaker 1: He might have a brand new said avows. He's like, actually, babe,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I didn't want to do the same bells.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I want to do different ones every year.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, growth Actually I love that.
- 24:25Speaker 1: So the one year anniversary is paper, right, that's a gift.
- 24:28Speaker 1: So have you are you follow are y'all doing that tradition?
- 24:33Speaker 2: I don't know if he is.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Okay, we have to give him, Robbie a chance. This
- 24:37Speaker 1: is the Valentine's Day conversation. He has to have.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Give the heads up then, Becca.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna check in.
- 24:44Speaker 4: So I if anybody's listening, don't tell him this, but
- 24:47Speaker 4: I does he not listen definitely not to the full episodes,
- 24:54Speaker 4: but he'll listen.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 5: The research shows he tunes out of.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Which we are going to get to it to that.
- 25:01Speaker 4: So I actually like I found this girl on Instagram
- 25:05Speaker 4: who she basically like takes little pieces of like your
- 25:09Speaker 4: relationship and she puts them on she like sketches them
- 25:11Speaker 4: onto like this like painting.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Wow.
- 25:13Speaker 4: And so I'm making like like an art piece. She's
- 25:17Speaker 4: gonna send it rolled up like I'm not. It's not
- 25:19Speaker 4: gonna be like frame. It's gonna be like it's a paper.
- 25:22Speaker 4: And I just gave her kind of like some things
- 25:25Speaker 4: from the wedding, like our first dance, some like little
- 25:28Speaker 4: the colors that we had, like our wedding invitations. I
- 25:31Speaker 4: just sent her to a bunch of stuff and she's
- 25:33Speaker 4: gonna she's not going to create it in time for
- 25:35Speaker 4: our anniversary, but she's gonna basically give me like a
- 25:37Speaker 4: piece of paper that is like a like a moss of.
- 25:41Speaker 2: It or something like that, Yeah, to give to him. Okay, Okay,
- 25:44Speaker 2: so yeah it'll be paper.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Okay, well I really need to give him a heads up. Yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 1: we're on a strict time crunch. R yikes. Yeah okay, Well.
- 25:56Speaker 2: One could say that like a card is technically paper.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Do you be happy with a card?
- 26:03Speaker 2: H Yeah, a nice thoughtful one.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Something he made or not made, but.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Words how the cardley? I really do love a thoughtful card. Okay,
- 26:22Speaker 2: it goes a long way.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Okay, I'll let him know. I'll let him know that
- 26:26Speaker 1: it is paper so he can get as creative as
- 26:28Speaker 1: he wants. But you'll be happy with a card if
- 26:32Speaker 1: that's what he has time for. Yeah, okay, thanks so
- 26:35Speaker 1: much for that.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Let's doing the lord's work. Friend.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Not everyone knows. I never knew about the anniversary stuff
- 26:43Speaker 1: until Easton was telling us about it. So that's not
- 26:46Speaker 1: something that I think is general knowledge, correct, And I
- 26:49Speaker 1: want him to be set up for success.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, we want him high scores.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Okay, I said that we were going to get to
- 26:55Speaker 1: this later, but I want to talk about something. We're
- 26:58Speaker 1: going to take a break and we'll do it when
- 27:00Speaker 1: we come back.
- 27:22Speaker 2: We're back, We are back, baby.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Tanya said. There was some scuttle in the Facebook group
- 27:30Speaker 1: regarding our episode length.
- 27:32Speaker 2: There was am I'm not the only one that has
- 27:34Speaker 2: seen the scuttle correct.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Well, just like the general the consensus that like they
- 27:39Speaker 1: wish the episodes were longer.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Yeah, they noticed that they were getting shorter, right, right,
- 27:43Speaker 4: So we got researched some time ago, I want to
- 27:46Speaker 4: say a while ago at this point. Yeah, that people
- 27:50Speaker 4: are only tuning in for twenty thirty minutes, so so.
- 27:57Speaker 3: If you do a fifty minute show, you just what.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you were talking to ourselves with us, so we're like,
- 28:01Speaker 2: why are we doing that?
- 28:02Speaker 3: Why?
- 28:02Speaker 1: We're happy to do We love talking to ourselves.
- 28:05Speaker 2: We love talking to ourselves. We talk amongst ourselves for
- 28:08Speaker 2: hours and hours on end.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and so I think that was kind of like
- 28:12Speaker 4: the encouragement to shorten our episodes, Okay, which is what
- 28:17Speaker 4: we did.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Well.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I had this epiphany the other day because I am
- 28:22Speaker 4: a podcast listener, So I do not just host a podcast.
- 28:25Speaker 2: I am a student of the craft.
- 28:27Speaker 4: I enjoy I just enjoyed listening to people's other people's podcasts. Yeah,
- 28:31Speaker 4: and what I realized is I only listen in increments
- 28:35Speaker 4: of twenty to thirty minutes, even if it's like Hillary
- 28:38Speaker 4: Duffon Call her Daddy. I'll listen on my drive home,
- 28:42Speaker 4: or I'll listen on my part of my walk. But
- 28:45Speaker 4: I never listened to a full episode of any podcast
- 28:48Speaker 4: in one sitting. However, I always come back. I finish
- 28:53Speaker 4: every podcast that I listen to. So I'm like this,
- 28:58Speaker 4: these this information is probably accurate that people listen in
- 29:01Speaker 4: twenty thirty minute increments, But like people come back, they
- 29:04Speaker 4: want more, they want.
- 29:06Speaker 2: To space it out.
- 29:07Speaker 1: That's what I do.
- 29:08Speaker 2: How did I not have that epiphany until like last week?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Well, I think that's what we need to know. Are
- 29:12Speaker 1: people coming back or did they listen to the first
- 29:14Speaker 1: half and then they're like, I've had enough of that.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so this is just that's enough. Yeah, so are
- 29:19Speaker 2: you That's what I have.
- 29:21Speaker 4: My question is is the scuttle because they want them
- 29:23Speaker 4: longer because they do come back or are you enjoying
- 29:26Speaker 4: the twenty thirty minute stints?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yeah? It's like, well, I guess it also depends when
- 29:31Speaker 1: are you listening, because not many people in life. I
- 29:34Speaker 1: mean I do, but not many people have like an
- 29:38Speaker 1: hour or hour and a half where they can just
- 29:40Speaker 1: sit and zone out and listen to something unless you're
- 29:42Speaker 1: doing that instead of watching TV or like yeah, your
- 29:45Speaker 1: nighttime routine, or you're on a commute that you have
- 29:48Speaker 1: a long commute. But I would imagine if someone has
- 29:50Speaker 1: a commute, let's say it's a twenty thirty minute commute,
- 29:53Speaker 1: they're listening to the first half on the way there,
- 29:55Speaker 1: and then maybe on the way back they tune back in. Right,
- 29:58Speaker 1: So we just need to know are you coming back
- 30:01Speaker 1: after the mode? Because we can talk all day if
- 30:08Speaker 1: you need.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Us, We could talk all day every day.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Not in fact, I oh, I don't have that much
- 30:14Speaker 1: to say that people don't want to listen to.
- 30:16Speaker 2: But I would love to do this every day.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Well, I'm not doing an hour show every day. I
- 30:22Speaker 1: literally don't have content for that.
- 30:24Speaker 3: That was the discussions. Rather than if you're doing ninety
- 30:27Speaker 3: minutes a week, let's say, are you better off doing
- 30:29Speaker 3: two forty five minute episodes or four twenty two minute episodes?
- 30:34Speaker 3: Oh right, what's better for the listener? Don't know, just
- 30:38Speaker 3: thrown it out. That was the discussion.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I guess if if we did an episode and it
- 30:43Speaker 1: was like a certain length and then we were chopping
- 30:45Speaker 1: it up into twenty minute episodes, I'd be so annoyed
- 30:48Speaker 1: if I was trying to listen and then I was like, what,
- 30:50Speaker 1: I don't get to hear the rest of this till tomorrow.
- 30:53Speaker 5: By saying hi and goodbye something like yeah, yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 1: We got a lot of highs and goodbyes and we're backs. Yeah,
- 31:01Speaker 1: So it's just something that we're curious about.
- 31:03Speaker 4: On your end, you know what I will say, I'm
- 31:05Speaker 4: like more invigorated and like motivated and inspired ever than lately,
- 31:11Speaker 4: lately than ever.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I don't know what you're trying to say.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I'm more invigorated now than ever than ever before, than
- 31:20Speaker 2: ever before.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Wow, Like I'm going to start the artist's way I
- 31:23Speaker 2: told you yesterday.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, Well we've talked about doing that many times.
- 31:26Speaker 4: But now I'm like feeling the vigor inside me, Like
- 31:29Speaker 4: there's something inside me that wants to like repolish. Not
- 31:33Speaker 4: change our podcast, but like repolish fine tune and with
- 31:37Speaker 4: other things in my life.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a springtime thing, I think, Yeah, spring forward.
- 31:45Speaker 4: I don't know, there's something in like in me, like
- 31:47Speaker 4: I've got.
- 31:47Speaker 1: This, like something has changed within me. Wait, did you
- 31:53Speaker 1: watch the Love Is Blind finale? Yes?
- 31:57Speaker 2: Can we talk about it? I'd love nothing more because you.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Know with here's the thing with certain shows, it's like
- 32:04Speaker 1: people talk about it for a day or two and
- 32:06Speaker 1: I don't care. So if we're gonna do.
- 32:08Speaker 4: It, let's talk about Love is Blind. Do not let
- 32:10Speaker 4: me forget to talk about traders at the end in
- 32:12Speaker 4: the Burken Well, okay, just remind me.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Here's my thoughts on Love is Blind. A quick recap
- 32:21Speaker 1: spoiler alert if you haven't watched. First of all, DeVante
- 32:26Speaker 1: and Brittany, I want to just shake her and be
- 32:30Speaker 1: like girl.
- 32:32Speaker 4: First of all, they did her so dirty on that edit,
- 32:35Speaker 4: and those producers knew what they were doing when they
- 32:37Speaker 4: were doing that. That was a dirty edit, truly, Yeah,
- 32:41Speaker 4: and because it made her look desperate, so desperate.
- 32:45Speaker 1: But here's the thing. The girl bought a wedding dress
- 32:48Speaker 1: before she came on the show. So there's nothing wrong
- 32:50Speaker 1: with that. And I knew you would say that, and
- 32:52Speaker 1: I knew you would say that.
- 32:54Speaker 4: But like she was manifested to record that that is
- 32:58Speaker 4: a proactive queen.
- 33:00Speaker 2: That is going to sign that that is.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Going to scare men.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Is not the right one.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Maybe, no, Tonia Robbie.
- 33:09Speaker 4: If I had bought a wedding dress prior to meeting Robbie,
- 33:13Speaker 4: he'd still be my husband, guaranteed.
- 33:16Speaker 1: If you told him that the first date.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna ask him.
- 33:19Speaker 1: He's of course, baby, because he knows this is going
- 33:22Speaker 1: on the podcast. But I know the truth. I know
- 33:25Speaker 1: his truth, and that is that he would have been
- 33:28Speaker 1: freaked out. Here's the thing, Davante is my nightmare personally.
- 33:34Speaker 1: He had he She literally is like, I know you're
- 33:37Speaker 1: not someone that's ever gonna gush over me or tell
- 33:39Speaker 1: me I'm pretty. And he's just like nodding looking at her.
- 33:43Speaker 1: And of course I don't know if that was an edit.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Maybe he said, of course, I think you're pretty and
- 33:49Speaker 1: gush over you, but that's not what we saw. And
- 33:51Speaker 1: then we hear her saying, and then he goes, I
- 33:56Speaker 1: have to go. We'll be in touch.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yeah, we will be in touch. Is so darkness, it's
- 34:03Speaker 2: so dark.
- 34:03Speaker 1: And then the next clip is her going, which again
- 34:06Speaker 1: I get editing and producing, but it's like, I'm ninety
- 34:10Speaker 1: eight percent sure we're gonna.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Gea get married. Yeah, And I'm like, I just want
- 34:13Speaker 2: to shake her.
- 34:14Speaker 1: She's so beautiful, she's got her thing, she's got, she's independent,
- 34:18Speaker 1: she's got everything going. She's just she wants to be
- 34:21Speaker 1: married so badly that it's like she has blinders on
- 34:24Speaker 1: for all the red flags.
- 34:25Speaker 2: But that happens to people. So let this be a
- 34:27Speaker 2: warning to us all.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Don't let that happen.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Don't let that happen, not just in relationships like that
- 34:33Speaker 2: can happen in like life and.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Career, like yeah, I mean it's like, no, you're worth,
- 34:37Speaker 1: know you're worth, and ad tax and attacks and then
- 34:43Speaker 1: Alex Alex and Ashley that, Okay, I'm proud of you.
- 34:48Speaker 4: I'm very proud of you for knowing all of their names,
- 34:50Speaker 4: because if that does not put the little chiron underneath,
- 34:54Speaker 4: like I am lost, Like I'm like I cannot I
- 34:57Speaker 4: don't know what anybody's names are.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I'm like the blonde girl in the song player. Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 1: you know who I'm talking about. So he terrifies me.
- 35:06Speaker 1: The way he speaks is so almost like threatening, and
- 35:10Speaker 1: I don't know how to explain that further. Then that's
- 35:12Speaker 1: what I feel when he speaks, because it's like a
- 35:14Speaker 1: master liar.
- 35:15Speaker 4: But it's like he makes you seem like it's actually
- 35:18Speaker 4: really scary because I think there's men out there like that.
- 35:20Speaker 4: But he makes you like, he makes you feel like
- 35:23Speaker 4: he's not lying, he's telling you the truth, when actually
- 35:26Speaker 4: he's like fully lying and spinning stories. But the way
- 35:29Speaker 4: he's saying it makes you sound like you're crazy.
- 35:31Speaker 1: It's a script that he's memorized. In my how I
- 35:34Speaker 1: viewed it is it's a script that he's memorized so
- 35:37Speaker 1: well that he thinks it's true, right, and so for
- 35:39Speaker 1: you to question him is like how dare you? Which
- 35:42Speaker 1: is scary.
- 35:43Speaker 2: That's called a narcissist.
- 35:45Speaker 1: It's called manipulation.
- 35:46Speaker 4: But my favorite thing was it's like his wedding day
- 35:49Speaker 4: and Alex has a piece of fuzz in his beard
- 35:53Speaker 4: he's got some cracker like he looks like he eats
- 35:55Speaker 4: saltine crackers and just like put his hand in his hair.
- 35:59Speaker 2: He was like, I'm assaulting crackers and it's all over
- 36:01Speaker 2: his beard. I was like, why is nobody helping him?
- 36:04Speaker 2: It's his wedding day and he's got crackers all in
- 36:07Speaker 2: his beard and hair.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I don't think anyone likes him, No, clearly not.
- 36:11Speaker 2: It's all I could watch the whole time. I could
- 36:13Speaker 2: knock it.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Over that, and I totally think that he would have
- 36:16Speaker 1: said yes, yeah, because he needs her. She's like successful
- 36:20Speaker 1: and comes from it seems like it comes from a
- 36:22Speaker 1: well off family. Yeah, and he's like a nomad who
- 36:25Speaker 1: has wants to have a bunker in New Zealand in
- 36:28Speaker 1: a house in Dubai. I'm like, what the hell, how
- 36:31Speaker 1: are you doing that? As a soccer coach?
- 36:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was crazy.
- 36:38Speaker 1: So I was really happy that she said, I don't
- 36:40Speaker 1: even need to hear your answer because it's not God.
- 36:43Speaker 4: I feel like, and I'm all for like a woman
- 36:46Speaker 4: standing on business, but I felt like it wasn't her,
- 36:50Speaker 4: Like I felt like she was being pushed to just
- 36:54Speaker 4: like really lay in thick on him and it just
- 36:56Speaker 4: didn't feel like her, you know what I mean.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad whoever got into her head she did it, but.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I feel like she did it to an extent that
- 37:05Speaker 2: was like a little too much.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Yeah, personally, I know what you're saying. Like someone was
- 37:10Speaker 1: like you need to.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Just like lay it on him and give it to him,
- 37:13Speaker 4: and you know what I mean, she was just they
- 37:14Speaker 4: were like working her up to just like unleash.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Well yeah, because they're probably has he touched you? He
- 37:20Speaker 1: said that you're not his tie.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Like it felt like she was wound up, like somebody
- 37:23Speaker 2: had wound her up.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Probably her dad. I feel like her dad was like
- 37:26Speaker 1: thank god.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Uh, the.
- 37:30Speaker 2: The reunion is airing this week. M just a note
- 37:33Speaker 2: to Netflix. I don't enjoy waiting a week for the reunion.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I'd rather just see it right right after.
- 37:42Speaker 4: And like, I don't know if you've seen my algorithm
- 37:44Speaker 4: was like all these people on TikTok being like anyone
- 37:46Speaker 4: else watched the the final episode of Love is Blind
- 37:49Speaker 4: like this, and she's like fast forwarding until like the
- 37:52Speaker 4: parts where they say I do or I don't, yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 4: because it's like it is, it's.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Kind of filler they could actually do all the idea.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Do is the wedding part in a thirty minute increment,
- 38:02Speaker 1: and then do the.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Reunion and give us what we want when we want it.
- 38:05Speaker 5: For the reunion, is this like because it was taped
- 38:08Speaker 5: a while ago?
- 38:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 38:09Speaker 5: Really? So is the reunion that was that taped like
- 38:13Speaker 5: this week?
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yes?
- 38:14Speaker 4: I don't know. Actually because last year, the last season,
- 38:19Speaker 4: like one of the contestants had a baby.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I do you think the reunions filmed like kind of
- 38:24Speaker 2: closer to in real time, which might be why they don't.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Well, allegedly DeVante has a fiance and a child on
- 38:31Speaker 1: the way. Sure, yeah, no, no, yeah, shoo yeah. And
- 38:38Speaker 1: then apparently Amber and Jordan had I guess no not
- 38:41Speaker 1: Amber and Jordan's don't don't don't tell me.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, they're.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Gonna say the exact same thing as a joke.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I heard you, and I was like, he's been turcastic.
- 38:53Speaker 2: But I'm being so sincere, like they are my precious too,
- 38:57Speaker 2: I need them to the broken up.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Well, I don't know, but in the reunion, she walks
- 39:01Speaker 1: off the stage. And then I've heard rumors that they
- 39:03Speaker 1: had both said that they weren't going to say yes,
- 39:05Speaker 1: and then they did and it threw everyone off. That's
- 39:08Speaker 1: the rumor I heard, so stay tuned.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Oh no, the two precious ones that got married. I
- 39:13Speaker 4: need them to stay married forever, like they are precious girl, Sine, Christine.
- 39:20Speaker 4: They're gonna they might have three babies by now.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I love I need them to last.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Amber. So sorry, I'm trying to get caught up here spoilers.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Amber injured, and there were rumors that they had both
- 39:32Speaker 5: planned to say no, and Amber posted on Instagram a
- 39:39Speaker 5: screenshot of a text to someone named Laura saying, for me,
- 39:44Speaker 5: it's still a yes and has always been a yes.
- 39:47Speaker 5: I typically now. I totally understand Jordan's skepticism. However, I
- 39:50Speaker 5: think it was very important for us to talk this
- 39:52Speaker 5: past week for me to truly understand that if he
- 39:54Speaker 5: says no on Sunday, we're still playing on going forward
- 39:56Speaker 5: with our relationship regardless. I know he's dead set on
- 39:59Speaker 5: saying no right now, and I have decided not to
- 40:01Speaker 5: pressure him, but he does saw the chance to meet
- 40:03Speaker 5: Emma tomorrow, which may change everything. Again. We have made
- 40:06Speaker 5: it clear to each other that we are okay either way,
- 40:08Speaker 5: even if he isn't ready to say yes on Sunday
- 40:10Speaker 5: and she goes on Okay.
- 40:11Speaker 4: It seems like it's little teddy Bear, and like I
- 40:13Speaker 4: think that she's like had bad relationships in her past,
- 40:16Speaker 4: and like I just feel what you disagree, you disagree what.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I just don't know that they make sense as much
- 40:26Speaker 1: as people are trying to make them make sense together.
- 40:28Speaker 2: How do they not?
- 40:29Speaker 1: Well, like he doesn't want to move because he likes
- 40:30Speaker 1: to go into bars and concerts, and it's like she
- 40:33Speaker 1: has a daughter that needs to stay in a certain
- 40:35Speaker 1: area for her school and stuff.
- 40:37Speaker 2: And it's like, well, relationships are compromise.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope compromise.
- 40:41Speaker 2: They could move in the middle.
- 40:44Speaker 1: City. And the daughter was crying and I don't know
- 40:47Speaker 1: how to process that. That felt dark to me.
- 40:49Speaker 2: She's at the reunion.
- 40:50Speaker 1: No, she was crying at the wedding when they said okay. Anyway,
- 40:58Speaker 1: So I'm excited to see what goes down. I hope
- 41:00Speaker 1: it's interesting. Sometimes, you know how I feel about reunions.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I get I love and I love love love, and
- 41:06Speaker 4: I feel like I'm watching a lot of TV shows
- 41:08Speaker 4: right now that are one by one weekly episodes, and
- 41:11Speaker 4: it's so treacherous.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Is that the word I'm looking for, like hard, Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 2: so hard, It's so hard.
- 41:18Speaker 5: I love it the pit right now, and I love
- 41:21Speaker 5: the indie.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Episode a week like I feel like I haven't seen
- 41:24Speaker 4: an episode of Paradise in a month.
- 41:26Speaker 1: There's a new one today, I know, but we watched
- 41:28Speaker 1: it last night.
- 41:30Speaker 2: I watched it last Monday. Well to night's your night,
- 41:33Speaker 2: I know, but it's like been done, Like what happened
- 41:36Speaker 2: that lad last episode? I don't remember.
- 41:37Speaker 1: That's why there's a recap at the beginning of every episode. Okay, wait,
- 41:40Speaker 1: you wanted to talk about the Burken and Rob and Mara.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Yes, okay, because I never thought about this and I
- 41:46Speaker 4: saw a couple people from Traders talking about it, So
- 41:50Speaker 4: spoiler alert.
- 41:52Speaker 2: From Rob wins the Traders and he what we're talking
- 41:57Speaker 2: about this?
- 41:57Speaker 4: But Maura, he promised Maura a bag which is like
- 42:01Speaker 4: fifteen thousand dollars.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Okay, okay, ten thousand is like the minimum for a
- 42:05Speaker 1: Burken bag.
- 42:07Speaker 2: They can go anywhere up to like twenty five, say.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Like tens like the minimum minimum. I can go up
- 42:11Speaker 1: to a one hundred thous it can go up.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Oh it can't.
- 42:13Speaker 5: Oh yeah that was hard to get, Like you can't
- 42:15Speaker 5: you have to No, no, you can't.
- 42:18Speaker 2: You can't just like walk into a store list right,
- 42:20Speaker 2: You have to build.
- 42:21Speaker 1: You have to like purchase other items at Ermez.
- 42:24Speaker 5: Samantha Lu's name to get Sex and the City.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Oh my god, I never understood that until now. Yeah,
- 42:33Speaker 4: you can't just like go in and buy one. And so, uh,
- 42:38Speaker 4: he bought her this bag. I don't know how much
- 42:40Speaker 4: it costs about the specific bag that she got. But
- 42:43Speaker 4: Rob also revealed on the reunion that he now has
- 42:45Speaker 4: a girlfriend, and I was like, if you were Rob's
- 42:49Speaker 4: girlfriend and you're watching him buy this beautiful woman a
- 42:53Speaker 4: Burken bag, would you be jealous?
- 42:57Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Right, So did he buy one for his new girlfriend?
- 43:00Speaker 1: But that seems maybe she doesn't want one though, and
- 43:03Speaker 1: maybe she doesn't want to. Maybe she's like, I don't
- 43:05Speaker 1: need a Burken but like I would like your life,
- 43:08Speaker 1: so i'd more so be like I need some reassurance,
- 43:12Speaker 1: a like public display of affection and no attention. Yeah,
- 43:15Speaker 1: but she also might not want it because she might
- 43:17Speaker 1: be like, here's the thing that's hard with Robin Mora specifically,
- 43:21Speaker 1: is they had a lot of chemistry and like people
- 43:24Speaker 1: make fan edits of them and It's like the girlfriend
- 43:26Speaker 1: probably can't even escape seeing those things, right, So I'm
- 43:30Speaker 1: hoping she's either just a very confident, secure person and
- 43:33Speaker 1: is like this is just a bit for this publicity,
- 43:39Speaker 1: or she's having some really serious conversations with him.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I was like, wow, Actually I never thought about the girlfriend.
- 43:45Speaker 4: Like if I saw my hot boyfriend buying a Birken
- 43:50Speaker 4: bag for Maura Higgins, I'd.
- 43:51Speaker 5: Be like, yeah, the bag was allegedlar They think it
- 43:55Speaker 5: was sixteen grand is the bag and he won?
- 43:58Speaker 2: What? Yeah?
- 44:00Speaker 1: I think that I think Dad. I think that he
- 44:07Speaker 1: he's not like playing into the romance of it. He's
- 44:10Speaker 1: very like, here, I got to the bag that I
- 44:12Speaker 1: promise you. Like, everything's very matter of fact with him.
- 44:15Speaker 1: So I do think he's being very respectful on how
- 44:17Speaker 1: he's navigating it.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Yes, I agree that.
- 44:20Speaker 1: That happened and was filmed way before he met his girlfriend.
- 44:22Speaker 1: He made that promise before she was even in the picture,
- 44:25Speaker 1: it seems, so it's like he's he's fulfilling the promise
- 44:28Speaker 1: that he made to someone. And I think he's also
- 44:31Speaker 1: being very like just dry. He's not like flirting with her.
- 44:35Speaker 2: No, I agree.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I think they just have natural chemistry, which sucks with
- 44:38Speaker 1: the girlfriend. But I don't think he's being disrespectful. Yeah,
- 44:41Speaker 1: and I'm sure he was like, hey, I would love
- 44:43Speaker 1: to buy you at Broken Back too, do you want one?
- 44:46Speaker 1: And maybe she was like, I'm good, bro, it's been
- 44:48Speaker 1: two months. Relax. Maybe she's got the upper hand.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't know. Maybe she's a big question marked
- 44:55Speaker 2: to me.
- 44:56Speaker 1: She's very pretty.
- 44:57Speaker 2: You've seen her.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Yeah, she's gorgeous. I'm a TikTok sleuth.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Can you send me some videos? I'd like to see
- 45:04Speaker 2: her myself.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Yeah, she's pretty all right. Well, we are ending the
- 45:10Speaker 1: episode now, yes we are, but we look forward to
- 45:13Speaker 1: your feedback as always.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I am looking forward back, looking forward to this.
- 45:18Speaker 5: If you made it this far, let us know.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Yeah, let's give him a code word.
- 45:23Speaker 1: If you are one of twenty people who made it
- 45:25Speaker 1: this far, Messa.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Just taste back. It's a Harry style song. No, yeah,
- 45:32Speaker 2: taste back, yeah sure, paint by numbers, I mean good,
- 45:36Speaker 2: it's very specific.
- 45:37Speaker 1: So taste back if you If you made it this far,
- 45:42Speaker 1: and we love you so much, we will be back
- 45:44Speaker 1: on Thursday with the dear Bonia, So don't worry you
- 45:47Speaker 1: haven't heard the last of us this week. You love
- 45:49Speaker 1: you love you
