- 0:01Hey, y'all, welcome today's show. Today imus start a new series building
- 0:07on what we discussed last week about the authority given to the Church by Jesus.
- 0:13And this also comes from my book Confirmation, Autobiography of Faith. It
- 0:19is, as I've said before, partially an autobiography of faith as said,
- 0:24but also someone a book on apologetics that will help you hopefully better understand Catholicism
- 0:33and defend Catholicism if need be. So we'll get into the sacraments. Not
- 0:39only did the authority vested in the apostles by our Lord give them the authority
- 0:43to teach and correct on matters of doctrine and morals, but the power to
- 0:47bind and loose also gave them the unique power of the sacraments. There are
- 0:53seven sacraments Baptism, confirmation, the Eucharist, reconciliation, anointing, the sick,
- 0:59marriage, ordination. Of these two predate Christianity, Baptism and marriage and
- 1:06are not exclusive Catholicism. Just as John the Baptists baptized before Jesus began his
- 1:11ministry, one does not have to be a priest to baptize. Lacking a
- 1:15priest, anyone, even a non Christian can baptize someone if someone as the
- 1:19person believes in Our Lord, and water is available, and the words in
- 1:23the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit must be
- 1:27used or the Holy Ghost, you know, if you want to go back
- 1:30to the older way of saying it. In times of wars, famines,
- 1:34epidemics, and natural disasters, those wishing to become Christian have had to seek
- 1:38bapti baptism from anyone available and willing. Sometimes tragically, people who desire to
- 1:45receive baptism were killed or died before anyone can perform the right. The Church
- 1:49teaches that such people are baptized through their earnest desire and their own blood.
- 1:55Marriage, of course, has been practicing sit on humanity by all peoples,
- 1:59but as important to point out the Catholic belief in these two sacraments. Although
- 2:05they may be common to all, Catholics firmly believe the words of Jesus that
- 2:07one must be baptized to be a Christian and to be saved only if one
- 2:13is another religion and or completely ignorant of baptism. Would the lack of being
- 2:19baptized not be a sin of a mission? Regardless Baptism seals the candidate and
- 2:24joins him to the body of Christ. Baptism protects one from unwilling demonic possession
- 2:30and opens the whole soul to the Holy Spirit. Baptism binds the Christian to
- 2:36Christ. It brings us into the Body of Christ. It's very troubling that
- 2:44so many Protestant denominations these days say that baptism is just symbolic and unnecessary.
- 2:50Jesus said specifically, you had to be baptized. He specifically told as a
- 2:55possibles to baptize people. You know, if Jesus said it, just do
- 3:00it. I mean, you know, Jesus said, if you love me,
- 3:01you'll keep my commandments. Well, if you love Jesus, I don't
- 3:05care if you're a seven day administer or whatever a Southern Baptists, I don't
- 3:09care what you are. Right. Do what he said, and he said
- 3:14be baptized. You may not understand it. There are whole lot of things
- 3:17that I don't understand, But if God says that, it's true. As
- 3:23far as marriage, the Catholic belief in marriage is exactly the words of Christ.
- 3:27He taught that marriage was a permanent union of binding together of two souls
- 3:30to the Jews. He said that divorce was only allowed in certain extreme cases
- 3:36and due to the hardness of their hearts. Basically, he's saying this is
- 3:38not the way it ought to be and the new law Christianity. The Catholic
- 3:44Church does not allowed divorce. Spouses may separate, but are not free to
- 3:46remarry unless he received an annoyment from the Church. Just as our Lord gave
- 3:52his church the power to bind, he gave it alone the power to loose.
- 3:57Annoyments may be granted on certain very specific grounds and are in no way
- 4:01like a civil divorce, and an norment is a serious spiritual decision in which
- 4:06the Catholic Church seeks to do what is best for both spouses and the children.
- 4:12The Church, through her priests and authorized counselors, will make every effort
- 4:15toward reconciliation. The annoyment may not be granted. For instance, my parents
- 4:21annoyment was granted on the grounds that my father had been married and divorced before
- 4:27he and my mother married. In the eyes of the church, he was
- 4:30not free to marry again as his first marriage had never been annulled. Spousal
- 4:34abuse and infidelity are often valid grounds for annulment because they may show that the
- 4:40genuine love necessary to form a valid union was not present, or that one
- 4:45or both partners may not have fully committed to the marriage. Anyone forced into
- 4:49marriage may also seek in annulment. Issues such as these invalidate the vowels taken
- 4:55in the sacrament of marriage. You know, when you say your vows,
- 4:59you're saying I can before God that I truly love this person and I plan
- 5:02to spend the rest of my life with him, and I have you know,
- 5:05nothing preventing me from that. Well, a lot of marriages are invalid
- 5:12on those specific grounds. I mean, you know, if a teenage girl
- 5:15gets pregnant and her parents forced her to marry the boy and she's not really
- 5:19in love with him, that's not a valid marriage. If if the guy
- 5:26didn't love her in the first place and was you know, sleeping around,
- 5:30and maybe it's just marrying her for family's money, not a valide marriage.
- 5:32Okay. Basically, if if someone's abusive and they're beating their partner up,
- 5:41that's a sign of probably they didn't love the person in the first place,
- 5:45So definite grounds there. But a priest or accounts or appointed by the diocese
- 5:51is going to look at the specifics of the case. If someone's mentally deficient,
- 5:58if they are suffering from mental illness, or they're not, you know,
- 6:02terribly bright, we will say, I guess mentally retarded. In this
- 6:06case, they may not understand the vowels. That's another valid reason. But
- 6:15I mean that's not for the church to decide, because only the Church is
- 6:17that authority. In this era of civil marriage, where people are married by
- 6:25judges or you know, ship captains and such, people don't understand that this
- 6:30is a religious sacrament, an actual binding of two souls together, and only
- 6:35truly, only the Church has the ability to bind two souls together, and
- 6:41only the Church has ability to loose two souls. As you can see,
- 6:46valid grounds for a norment go to the heart of the meaning of marriage.
- 6:49These are spiritual matters, not not legal concepts. In the civil divorce by
- 6:56no means is you know what people always often say, we fell out of
- 6:59love. That's not a valid reason for annullment. No, it's not.
- 7:03Or simply getting tired of your spouse or being attracted to another person, again
- 7:09not grounds for annulment. And the leading cause for divorce is actually financial problems,
- 7:14and by no means is that grounds for an ennuyment. The Catholic Church
- 7:18uses the authority granted to it by Jesus Christ to decide what constitutes a valid
- 7:23marriage. One very important. Only the Catholic Church can say what constitutes a
- 7:28valid marriage. The Catholic Church was the church to decide, No, polygamy
- 7:31is not allowable anymore. The Catholic Church says gay marriage is allowable, I
- 7:38mean, etc. And the Catholic Church has the right, the power given
- 7:45by God to annulla marriage and to go even further than that, and you
- 7:48know, forbid artificial birth control. Say that what you do in your marriage
- 7:54is either moral or not, depending on the teachings of the Christ, the
- 7:59teachings of the Church Church, ensured by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
- 8:03Protestant churches really don't even dare or try to dictate such matters anymore. They
- 8:07know they don't have that authority granted by God. You will rarely, if
- 8:11ever, enter a Protestant church and hear a sermon against birth control. Most
- 8:18Christians would agree if they look at the development of doctrine and then the words
- 8:24of the Bible and all that that artificial birth control is immoral. But you're
- 8:28not going to walk into a Methodist church and hear a sermon about, you
- 8:33know, not using birth control. It's just not going to happen. And
- 8:37these days you're gonna it's a very rare church, you're gonna find it's gonna
- 8:41say anything against homosexual unions. I mean, they'll probably I don't know,
- 8:48if the subject of Mormonism comes up or something. They'll probably rail against polygamy.
- 8:52But then you ask them, where in the Bible does it outlaw polygamy?
- 8:56Well, it doesn't. The Pope, Pope Saint Clement outlawed polygamy,
- 9:01and all churches Christian churches have followed suit, except for the quasi Christian Latter
- 9:07day Saints Church, which is not really Christian. That's just it's become a
- 9:15cultural norm. But you say, where's that in the Bible, they can't
- 9:18tell you because it's not there. Another sacrament that is very misunderstood these days
- 9:26is confirmation. Confirmation is a valid sacrament only when enacted by the Catholic Church.
- 9:31Yes, when I was a child ten years old or so, I
- 9:35was confirmed Methodist. That meant nothing. Honestly, it means absolutely nothing.
- 9:39The Methodist Church does not have the power to bind and loose. Confirmation is
- 9:45a sacrament that brings one into the Church. Only when one is confirmed by
- 9:50Catholic priest does one receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Now, wow,
- 9:56does that sound a little arrogant. Well, let's see what the Bible
- 10:00says about it. Acts eight. When the apostles in Jerusalem heard the Samaria
- 10:05had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,
- 10:09and they went down there and prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit,
- 10:13for as yet He had not come down on any of them. They had
- 10:16only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands
- 10:20on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. When Simon saw that the
- 10:24spirit was given through the laying on of hand. Simon was a magician,
- 10:28He was actually a very famous magician. The apostles rejected him. Saint Peter
- 10:37told him that he would have no part in Christianity because he was a wicked
- 10:39man. According to the words of who you think was it, I think
- 10:46it was Saint Justin Martyr, if I remember correctly. He tells the whole
- 10:50history of how Simon went and became a He called himself a messiah. He
- 10:56started his own church, and somewhere in the Roman Empire that's escaping me,
- 11:03probably around Samaria, Okay, if that's where he was living, right.
- 11:07He said he was the son of God, and he led a lot of
- 11:09people astray, and there were statues idols built to him. A cult leader,
- 11:18but he was also a magician. He trafficked with demons, as they
- 11:20say, he could predict the future, and he could work magic. It
- 11:26says when Simon saw the spirit was given through the laying on of the apostle's
- 11:28hands, he offered them money, with the words, give me the same
- 11:33power, so that anyone I lay my hands on will receive the Holy Spirit.
- 11:37Peter answered me, your silver be lost forever, and you with it
- 11:41for thinking that money could buy what God has given for nothing. You have
- 11:45no share, no part in this. God can see how your heart is
- 11:48warped. Repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that
- 11:52this scheme of yours may be forgiven. It is plain to me that you
- 11:56are held in bitterness of gall and in the chains of sin. Simon replied,
- 12:01pray to the Lord for me yourself, so that none of these things
- 12:03you have spoken may happen to me. A lot of people will say,
- 12:07okay, if you believe in well, it says in the Bible. No
- 12:11one can say that Jesus is Lord, would unless the spirit lead him,
- 12:16unless you know, but you know what it says elsewhere of the Bible.
- 12:20In fact, the devil himself recognized Jesus. The demons said, Jesus,
- 12:26son of God, depart from us. You do not have to be a
- 12:31Christian to believe that Jesus is Lord. And Simon the Magician believe fully that
- 12:39Jesus was Lord, and that the apostles alone had the power to lay their
- 12:43hands on that's the sacrament of confirmation and to transfer to give people the Holy
- 12:50Spirit. But he rejected God. He believed in God. Judas believed in
- 12:56God. They rejected. And you know, Simon said, up a false
- 13:03religion, as many have done. Joseus Smith, you know, for instance,
- 13:11Martin Luther would be another really good example of someone who believes in Jesus
- 13:16but rejects the words of Jesus, rejects the truth of Jesus, rejects the
- 13:22Church of Jesus, and in this instance we see only the apostles when they
- 13:28went there had the ability to give these people who are already baptized the Holy
- 13:31Spirit the fullness of the Holy Spirit. As I said, baptism opens one
- 13:37to the spirit. Confirmation gives one the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Of
- 13:41the Holy Spirit is lost anytime you commit a mortal sin. That's why we
- 13:46have the sacrament of confession, also ordained, given clear instructions by Jesus Christ
- 13:56himself when he said to his apostles, those who you forgive forgiven, those
- 14:01who sends you retain, they are retained. We'll get into the sacrament of
- 14:05confession, you know, a little bit later, but it's very important,
- 14:09very important to understand that the Catholic Church, through the Apostles, through the
- 14:18authority of Jesus Christ himself, only through the sacrament of confirmation does one receive
- 14:24the fullness of the Spirit. There are millions and millions of good Protestants who
- 14:28have been baptized, hopefully, and who believe in God, and who have
- 14:33a measure of the spirit. The most spirit filled Protestant will never have the
- 14:39full measure of the Holy Spirit, nowhere near as much as say a perhaps
- 14:45a mentally retarded Catholic that doesn't even fully understand what's going on. They will
- 14:50be filled with the Holy Spirit. And really a mentally retarded person will usually
- 14:58stay very pure in their heart, and they're like a lot of them are
- 15:03living saints. I mean, anyone who thinks aborting a child because they are
- 15:09retarded or whatever, David, They've never known a retarded child. The sweetest
- 15:18and most angelic creatures on earth. Sorry, I mean a little choked up.
- 15:28Kids do that to me. I know, I didn't grow up with
- 15:33a lot of brothers and sisters. I know how nasty they can be.
- 15:37And I've never had kids myself, So kids do that to me. Maybe
- 15:43one day when I'm a dad, if God willing, maybe not be so
- 15:48sentimental about children. But knowing my nature, I'll probably ten times worse.
- 15:54My grandfather was, my great grandfather was, you know, and they were
- 15:58strong men. It shouldn't be ashamed that kids can touch your heart that way.
- 16:08It happened that while Apollos this is Acts nineteen. It happened that while
- 16:11Apollos was at Corinth, Paul made his way overland as far as Ephesus,
- 16:18where he found a number of disciples. When he asked, did you receive
- 16:22the Holy Spirit when you became believers, they answered no, we were never
- 16:26even told there was such a thing as the Holy Spirit. He asked that
- 16:30how are you baptized? They replied with John's baptism. Paul said John's baptism
- 16:36was a baptism of repentance, but he insisted that people should believe in the
- 16:41one who was to come after him, namely Jesus. When they heard this,
- 16:44they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, and the moment
- 16:48Paul laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came down on them, and
- 16:52they began to speak with tongues into prophesy. Very important. It does not
- 16:56say that Paul baptizing. It says after they were baptized, Paul laid hands
- 17:03on them. He had taken an apostleate he had the authority given to the
- 17:10Church by God to give them the fullest of the Holy Spirit. Belief.
- 17:15Didn't give them that a simple baptism, the baptism of John, as they
- 17:22say, the full baptism in the name of the Father's Son, the Holy
- 17:26Spirit. That wasn't sufficient. Only confirmation in a Catholic Church will do it.
- 17:30That's why the name of my book is Confirmation. By the way,
- 17:33that's the single most important event of my life was when I was confirmed into
- 17:38a Catholic Church. It changed me in ways that I hope I can explain
- 17:44to you. Let me tell you the guy who just teared up over retarded
- 17:49kids, I know there's a better word for them. I'm not trying to
- 17:52be offensive. It's just guess what it was called when I was growing up.
- 17:56You know, he wouldn't have teared up before it was earned into the
- 18:00Catholic Church, No way, no way at all. I had some issues
- 18:08in my childhood abusive father, and you know I was a pretty tough kind
- 18:15of a juvenile delinquent, and that confirmation changed everything. So obviously, the
- 18:26laying on or imposition of the hands of the apostles and those whom they granted
- 18:30this authority had a special power to convey the fullness of the Holy Spirit beyond
- 18:37baptism. The same power to bind and loose and ensures Apostolic succession gives every
- 18:44Catholic priest in every corner of the globe the same power. Today, I
- 18:48can assure you that no charismatic spiritual experience in a Protestant church, which I've
- 18:52been in and witnessed. I know it's very emotional, but it can never
- 18:56be as profound and powerful as the simple sacrament of confirmation in a Catholic Church.
- 19:04Simply put, the sacrament of confirmation combined with baptism changes everything. The
- 19:11Catholic Christian literally becomes a new man or woman. Of course, I only
- 19:18hope at some point in my life God gives me the words to explain this
- 19:23to our Protestant brothers and sisters, because it's beyond the words I have now,
- 19:29it's beyond human words, and I just pray that they can all experience
- 19:34that you can all experience that every single human being on the face of this
- 19:38earth will be baptized and confirmed into a Catholic Church. But as profound and
- 19:45as baptism and confirmation, though nothing is his life changing as the Eucharist.
- 19:52Only the Catholic Church believes, teaches, and has the God given authority to
- 19:56turn simple bread and wine into the spiritual body and blood of Jesus Christ.
- 20:03Only a confirmed Catholic can actually eat and drink our Lord's body, blood,
- 20:08soul, and divinity as he commanded. I will give all the Bible quotes
- 20:14as we get into this, but Jesus said plainly that only those who eat
- 20:18his body and blood have life in them, eternal life. Every time we
- 20:23receive the euchris, it's not only real, but it's the very apex of
- 20:29the human experience. Only a confirm Catholic in communion with the Catholic Church,
- 20:37who is not in a state of mortal sin can receive the euchris. That's
- 20:41also in keeping with the words of our Lord, who warned against receiving his
- 20:45body and blood unworthily. Only a literal understanding of the real presence of God
- 20:51in the euchris makes sense of this warning. Nothing merely symbolic could entail a
- 20:56penalty. Reconciliation or confession is more common, as it's more commonly called,
- 21:02you know, in popular culture, is essential for us. Even the euchres
- 21:04all normal human sin, even saint sin, especially so many saints. I
- 21:11love Saint Padre Pio, he was hot tempered. I love Saint Jerome for
- 21:17instance. I mean these were real men with real flaws. You know,
- 21:22only Jesus Christ and his mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, have not sinned.
- 21:27We know this because the our changel gave real addressed. The Mother of
- 21:30God is full of grace before she became pregnant with our Lord by the power
- 21:33of the Holy Spirit. Grace is a favor granted by God, and grace
- 21:37only entered the world for the rest of humanity through Jesus. Only Mary was
- 21:42born and lived free from even original sin, so that grace could fill her
- 21:47soul. Before Jesus came to forgive us our sins, original citizenherited. It's
- 21:52the sin of Adam and Eve. All men and women except for the Blessed
- 21:56Mother and Jesus have borne the stain of original sin, which is rebellion against
- 22:00God and holiness. The Christian is forgiven of all sin when baptized, but
- 22:06we'll continue to sin throughout life. I mean, we all know that'd be
- 22:07true. Our Lord Jesus Christ granted to his apostles and their successors, who
- 22:14are priests of the Catholic Church alone, his authority to forgive sins. The
- 22:18Jews asked him, who can forgive sins? But God this was extremely reasonable
- 22:22question. His ability to forgive sins was a greater sign of his divinity than
- 22:26the power to heal. Yet Jesus said the most remarkable thing, He who
- 22:32alone had the authority granted, gave men the power of God, as explained
- 22:36in the Gospel of John chapter seventeen. In the evening of that same day,
- 22:41the first day of the week, the doors were closed and the room
- 22:44where the disciples were for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among
- 22:48them. He said to them, Peace be with you. And after saying
- 22:51this, he showed them his hands in his side. The disciples were filled
- 22:53with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again, peace
- 22:56be with you. As the Father sent me, so I am. After
- 23:02saying this, he breathed on them and said, received the Holy Spirit.
- 23:04If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven. If you retain anyone's sins,
- 23:10they are retained. If you believe the Bible, you have to believe
- 23:15that Jesus gave normal men the power to forgive and retain sins. But that
- 23:23was Pentecost, that was the birth of the Church. We celebrated last Sunday,
- 23:27just a couple of days ago. But every Catholic priest, even if
- 23:33he's a bad guy, if he was a simple man, he still has
- 23:37the ability because he's not acting as himself. He's acting in the role given
- 23:41to him by Christ. The priest's hands are Jesus hands when he turns bread
- 23:48and wine into the body and blood of Christ. When the priest hears your
- 23:52confessions, Jesus hears your confessions. When the priest says, your sins are
- 23:56forgiven, I absolve you. Go in peace. Jesus is saying that to
- 24:00you, and to doubt that is actually part of what is the sin against
- 24:08the Holy Spirit. Jesus gave them the Holy Spirit, and he gave them
- 24:12that power through the Holy Spirit. And it says in the Bible the one
- 24:17unforgivable sin is the sin against the Holy Spirit. The Christian who will not
- 24:22confess to a priest is sinning against the Holy Spirit. I need that to
- 24:30sink in for all my probess and brothers and sisters. That is a sin
- 24:37against the Holy Spirit. To deny what Jesus gave to his apostles and through
- 24:41them, to the entire Catholic Church, and to the Catholic Church alone due
- 24:47to Apostolic succession, the power to mind to lives. To deny that is
- 24:51a sin against the Holy Spirit, and that is really dangerous. That is
- 24:57really dangerous. The sac the annointing the sick. It's mentioned several times.
- 25:02I've already referenced it in Bible passages, saying that even the shadow or handkerchief
- 25:06of the apostles could heal people of all sickness. I'll simply include these quotes
- 25:11below. The miracle of healing grant to the Catholic Church, continues to this
- 25:15day. As Saint Hildegard von Benjin explained, She's sort of favorite saint of
- 25:18mine, as she was a great herbalist. If it is God's will that
- 25:22the person should recover, he will be healed. God does not will that
- 25:26everyone should be healed. The soul is of more value than the body.
- 25:30Often sickness leads us to repentance, conversion, and attachment from the world.
- 25:34No one can be said to know the mind of God. Sometimes it is
- 25:37his will that we must suffer, and we trust that He knows what is
- 25:41best for us. But legendary miracles have been and continue to be performed in
- 25:45such famous sites such as lords, and continue to happen every day in the
- 25:49hands of even the most unimpressive priest. For the simple reason that he stands
- 25:55in persona Christie or in the person of Christ. When priests and acts the
- 26:00sacraments, it's the hands of Jesus. As I just said, ordination we
- 26:04already discussed through the authority of apostolic succession, the power to bind and lusk
- 26:10given to Saint Peter and the apostles by Jesus gave them the power to appoint
- 26:12successors and to ordain priests. Only of validly ordained Catholic priests has the power
- 26:18granted by Jesus to enact to enact the Sacraments exclusive to the Church. Ordination
- 26:26ensures that any priests, no matter who may stand in persona ex Christie when
- 26:32it ministering the sacraments, and only when a ministering the sacraments. Bad priests
- 26:37are bad people, even when they enact the sacraments. It's not them Jesus.
- 26:44You know, Jesus never guaranteed against evil or individual men. He ensured
- 26:51a priest would do his will in the sacraments. A man may be defraud
- 26:55or stripped of his authority to administer the sacraments and to teach or preach by
- 27:00the Catholic Church. Such should be the case when a priest is found to
- 27:03have fall into serious center heresy. I mean they should absolutely be defraud and
- 27:07kicked out. A man may leave the priesthood if he feels he can no
- 27:11longer accept the authority of the Church or fulfill the role as priest. You
- 27:14know, occasionally a priest may fall in love and mary leave the priesthood.
- 27:18That certainly happens. However, no priest retains the authority to administer the sacraments
- 27:26and to teach or preach as a Catholic with authority if he rejects the authority
- 27:30of the Church. Therefore, a while priests who or Catholic have converted to
- 27:34Orthodox, Lutheran, Anglican, etc. Once they rejected the authority of the
- 27:40pope, they lost all abilities to act as valid priests. While the founders
- 27:44of the first Protestant denominations may have been validly ordained, their authority came only
- 27:49through the apostles. When they rejected the apostles and their successors, they lost
- 27:55the power God had given them. They cut themselves off from the body of
- 27:57Christ and could no longer work as His hands. So tomorrow we will start
- 28:03getting to what the Bible says about the sacraments. I'm gonna break this down
- 28:07one at a time. We're gonna go through all the seven sacraments, and
- 28:10I'm going to tell you what the Bible says. I'm gonna tell you what
- 28:11the early church fathers say. It's probably you know, it's it's probably gonna
- 28:15be about a settin part series, and I'll try to keep them short,
- 28:19maybe a little shorter than the last series we did. And I may I
- 28:22do them all like you know, contiguously. I may break here and here
- 28:26and there with a podcast on politics and culture or something else sometimes, but
- 28:32this is what we're going to be doing for the next you know, next
- 28:37week or two. And I think you're going to find it really interesting whenever
- 28:41a Protestants says, where does it say that in the Bible? Why do
- 28:44Catholics think they have to go to confession? Why do Catholics think this what
- 28:48you're gonna know? You're gonna have it, hopefully round on the tip of
- 28:51your tongue. This is These are the things I get confronted with a lot
- 28:55by well meaning Protestants, and I have to be ready to defend my faith.
- 29:00And that's what my book's all about. It's actually the story of how
- 29:03I got here and how I defend my faith. So if you're interested,
- 29:07if you need a written copy and you know, or if you just want
- 29:10to help me out, I would love that. You know, I'm an

- 30:00the basics of the Catholic Church. Who we are, what we believe,
- 30:03and why and why very much so? Why so again? And the words
- 30:10of one of my favorite Saints, Saint Padripio. Pray, hope and don't
- 30:15worry, and I'll talk to you tomorrow
