- 0:09Speaker 1: Ye, sure, Hello, Welcome to the Naughty n Nice Shrub.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Your host from Shooter is first thing. And guess what
- 0:17Speaker 1: we have a surprise to day. I did not know
- 0:19Speaker 1: if the co host would be back this week. It's
- 0:21Speaker 1: a holiday still, it's you know, that sort of weird
- 0:24Speaker 1: period after Christmas, but it's not really the New Year,
- 0:26Speaker 1: but it is. And guess who texted me last night?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Popped up on my phone, Loopy Lou saying do we
- 0:32Speaker 1: do a show tomorrow? Are we doing your shower tomorrow?
- 0:35Speaker 1: I said, oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes yes,
- 0:37Speaker 1: Lupy are you there? Luby lewis here?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Hello?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Ram A happy happy holiday my friends. How was it?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Did you have fun with your family?
- 0:44Speaker 2: Happy New Year? And I had a great time. We
- 0:47Speaker 2: were eating and drinking and laying down and just having
- 0:50Speaker 2: a lot of fun.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It was.
- 0:50Speaker 2: It was a good time.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Oh I love it. Well, thank you for being here today.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Like I said, I didn't expect anybody to be back.
- 0:56Speaker 1: You're the only one of the five co hosts to
- 1:00Speaker 1: do a show this week. Mark ll look at me.
- 1:03Speaker 1: That's good. You get extra points for that, extra brownie points.
- 1:06Speaker 1: So we love love that you are with us. I've
- 1:08Speaker 1: got quite good, though, at doing a twenty minute monologue.
- 1:12Speaker 1: When I first started podcasting, Mark, I just didn't believe
- 1:15Speaker 1: I could do two minutes, let alone twenty, and then
- 1:18Speaker 1: twenty by myself. And then I think of people, people
- 1:21Speaker 1: who you've worked with. I've worked with, like Wendy Williams,
- 1:24Speaker 1: who just opened a show five days a week, and
- 1:28Speaker 1: my favorite part of the show was the monologue. I
- 1:31Speaker 1: just used to sit there giggling and laughing. So I know,
- 1:34Speaker 1: Wendy Williams, I get that. But Wendy, if you're listening
- 1:37Speaker 1: A Love A Love Aloe, we know she might be
- 1:39Speaker 1: If you're listening, You're my inspiration Wendy the days and
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'm like, oh gosh, Mark, what am I gonna do?
- 1:45Speaker 1: What am I gonna talk about for twenty minutes? I
- 1:47Speaker 1: think of Wendy and think, if she can do it,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I might not be as good, but I'll give it
- 1:51Speaker 1: a go.
- 1:52Speaker 2: You were the person I can listen to talk all
- 1:54Speaker 2: day long. You were the most entertaining person solo any
- 1:58Speaker 2: hosts they can think of.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So oh, look at that. You are the best. Okay,
- 2:02Speaker 1: let's jump into a a show. What time is it,
- 2:05Speaker 1: my friends? It is tea Times good story at the
- 2:07Speaker 1: top of the show. So Meghan Markle has it made
- 2:09Speaker 1: her comeback on Instagram at least, and Harry filmed the video.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So Megani's back on Instagram. She posted a really nice
- 2:19Speaker 1: video of her running down the beach. It's shot from behind,
- 2:23Speaker 1: it's black and white. It's very moody. It looks very
- 2:27Speaker 1: Hollywood movie, independent type film like this is not in
- 2:31Speaker 1: your face. It's not an action hero, it's not Mission Impossible.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It's more arty, farty, it's very Megan. So she's running
- 2:38Speaker 1: down a beach and she bends over and in the
- 2:41Speaker 1: sand she writes twenty twenty five lovely with a finger,
- 2:45Speaker 1: she makes the numbers in the sand, and then the photographer,
- 2:49Speaker 1: who we now know is Harry, he scans into the
- 2:53Speaker 1: ocean and then he scans up to the sky. And
- 2:57Speaker 1: you think, of what a strange video to post like.
- 3:00Speaker 1: It's a very very abstract type, very beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I don't know if there's a message there, if there's
- 3:08Speaker 1: a meaning there. I know that these two need to
- 3:11Speaker 1: figure out what are they gonna do next? And if
- 3:14Speaker 1: making ARTI for arty videos is going to be their
- 3:17Speaker 1: next thing, good for them? I don't think it's gonna
- 3:19Speaker 1: sell many parts of her jam though, Mark, and I
- 3:22Speaker 1: don't think it's going to help really with her new
- 3:24Speaker 1: Netflix series, her cooking show, which debuts very very shortly.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And so I think this is nice. Now. I did
- 3:30Speaker 1: have a little look, so I'm noisy. She has about
- 3:33Speaker 1: one hundred and thirteen followers at the moment. A handle
- 3:37Speaker 1: is at Megan, So I think we have slightly more
- 3:41Speaker 1: followers asselves, but she has. But she's just started, she's
- 3:44Speaker 1: only been up for a little bit, and so I
- 3:47Speaker 1: wish her the best here. I'm definitely going definitely that's
- 3:50Speaker 1: too much. I'm thinking about following her myself. Mark, I'm
- 3:53Speaker 1: not quite sure yet. What do you think is going on?
- 3:56Speaker 1: What do you think about all this?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's funny. I actually followed her last
- 3:59Speaker 2: night because I figure you have to be on top
- 4:01Speaker 2: of this update. You know, this is just funny to me.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I think they realized one big thing, which is there
- 4:06Speaker 2: is a big disconnect between Megan and the audience, her
- 4:09Speaker 2: fans from people. When you're silent, It's kind of like
- 4:12Speaker 2: what Beyonce goes through, where you're very silent and private.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It leaves room for speculation and people can comment, and
- 4:18Speaker 2: then you don't have control of the narrative. And so
- 4:20Speaker 2: I think for her to have an Instagram account where
- 4:23Speaker 2: she can post and share, she can be involved in
- 4:26Speaker 2: the celebrity type of way, but not give too much
- 4:28Speaker 2: of herself, but give enough to stop the rumors and
- 4:31Speaker 2: the articles that come out about her.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you're right there. It's a disconnect. I'm
- 4:36Speaker 1: not knocking anybody for being on social media with both
- 4:38Speaker 1: very nosy Mark, get on social media. Tell me all
- 4:40Speaker 1: your secrets. I'm happy to listen. However, if I had
- 4:44Speaker 1: been Megan's advisor, or Megan or even Harry, I would
- 4:46Speaker 1: have said, is that up doing this sort of like
- 4:49Speaker 1: commercial for a fragrance? It looks like it's deal, or
- 4:53Speaker 1: it looks very Charlie Starone. Why a s el fragrance?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Or Johnny Depth in that a sauchy ad. It looks
- 5:02Speaker 1: like that. I would have said, look in the camera
- 5:04Speaker 1: and say happy New Year, everybody. It's gonna be a
- 5:06Speaker 1: big year and I can't wait to share it with you.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And you're gonna hear a lot of rumors about me
- 5:10Speaker 1: this year. But if you come here, I'll set the
- 5:12Speaker 1: record straight. I would have been right on the money,
- 5:15Speaker 1: because it feels to me as if she wants a Ellen,
- 5:19Speaker 1: a Kelly Clarkson type creer, she wants to be a
- 5:22Speaker 1: TV host basically on her cooking show, and so that's
- 5:25Speaker 1: the sort of video they would do. Can you imagine
- 5:28Speaker 1: how we would laugh if Ellen had made this video?
- 5:31Speaker 1: She would make fun of herself, should turn around at
- 5:33Speaker 1: the end and should have like dirt on her face
- 5:35Speaker 1: or something would be funny. I was waiting for, like
- 5:37Speaker 1: just a little bit of a joke. I don't think
- 5:39Speaker 1: Meghan knows how to laugh at herself. I think Harry
- 5:42Speaker 1: and Meghan take themselves too seriously. Like I'd say, Meghan,
- 5:45Speaker 1: at the end of the video, spin around and let's
- 5:47Speaker 1: have your dress tucked into your knickers. Funny, everybody will
- 5:50Speaker 1: have a good laugh. Well, Harry, you can fall over
- 5:52Speaker 1: with the camera and land in the sand. We needed
- 5:54Speaker 1: a little button on the end to let us all
- 5:57Speaker 1: know that you're human. But they're not good at that.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But I think Mark, that's you're absolutely right. There's a
- 6:04Speaker 1: disconnect from what she wants. What we saw on Oprah,
- 6:07Speaker 1: which was fabulous, that honest person who just sat there
- 6:11Speaker 1: and told it as it is, as if she was
- 6:13Speaker 1: a real housewife. And now the truth, which is they're
- 6:17Speaker 1: quite private when they want to be. They don't really
- 6:21Speaker 1: let you into their lives like a Bethany Frankel. And
- 6:24Speaker 1: so who are you going to be? What sort of
- 6:25Speaker 1: celebrity moving forward? You know, Rachel Ray had a fabulous
- 6:29Speaker 1: cooking show, but she was very honest about her life,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and I think you have to do that if you
- 6:34Speaker 1: want to connect with your audience each day. When we
- 6:36Speaker 1: first started this podcast, Mark, we were a little bit
- 6:39Speaker 1: more private than we are. Now we've got Lucy Goosey,
- 6:42Speaker 1: we have revealed more details about ourselves and that is
- 6:45Speaker 1: the nature of the beast. If you want a cooking show,
- 6:48Speaker 1: if you want to show where you let people into
- 6:50Speaker 1: your kitchen, literally on the beach, I can't see you
- 6:53Speaker 1: wave or smile. You couldn't say anything. She didn't speak.
- 6:57Speaker 2: She didn't speak, And I think you know you've given
- 6:59Speaker 2: us and else might be as a thing for a
- 7:00Speaker 2: skip next. So it does come off very silly, this
- 7:03Speaker 2: at least this initial post. But you know we're going
- 7:05Speaker 2: back to the jams and the things that she's trying
- 7:07Speaker 2: to sell us. Why would I buy a gem from you.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Why would I do any of these things, buy a
- 7:12Speaker 2: product if they have no idea who you are? Who
- 7:14Speaker 2: are you? At the core?
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't know who you are. I'm worse than that,
- 7:18Speaker 1: I'm confused about who you are because sometimes the pictures
- 7:21Speaker 1: the videos you put out are totally disconnect with who
- 7:25Speaker 1: you are. They like, if I put out a video
- 7:27Speaker 1: seriously dancing in the New York Ballet without making fun
- 7:31Speaker 1: of myself right, people would be like, rab What if
- 7:33Speaker 1: I said to your book mark, do a black and
- 7:35Speaker 1: white movie of me at Bottino's where I pretend I'm
- 7:38Speaker 1: an adultgy and Gabana Rabbat, I'd look ridiculous just because
- 7:41Speaker 1: it's not who I am. Megan, find out who you are.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I think that's really the ultimate problem here. I don't
- 7:47Speaker 1: think either one of them know who they are. I
- 7:49Speaker 1: just don't think they do. Be yourselves, that's who you are.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Just be yourself. And if you're not funny, don't be funny.
- 7:55Speaker 1: If you're quite serious, be serious. It's all fine. If
- 7:57Speaker 1: you're a bit grumpy, be grumpy. There's a lot of
- 8:00Speaker 1: people on TV who play the villain. They are the villain,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and so figure out who you are in neutral before
- 8:06Speaker 1: you start putting on a performance. And we all put
- 8:08Speaker 1: on a performance every day when we leave affrontdoor, when
- 8:10Speaker 1: we get dressed in the morning to go to work
- 8:12Speaker 1: or whatever we're doing. We put on a bit of
- 8:14Speaker 1: a show. We have to. It's called life. But when
- 8:17Speaker 1: I go out, I'm ultimately the same person I really am.
- 8:20Speaker 1: There might be a little shift in emphasis, but I
- 8:23Speaker 1: ultimately and the same person. That's why I don't do
- 8:25Speaker 1: serious shows because I just don't fit in. I was
- 8:27Speaker 1: once on the CBS Evening News, Oh Mark. They hated
- 8:31Speaker 1: me because I was so full of, full of life,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and they don't do that on those news shows. If
- 8:36Speaker 1: you're on David Muir or Leicester Holt, you have to
- 8:40Speaker 1: be sort of quite a robot, and it's just not
- 8:42Speaker 1: the type of show for me. I'd be better on
- 8:44Speaker 1: a local show or a talk show. That's the type
- 8:47Speaker 1: of person I am. So who are you, Meghan? Which
- 8:49Speaker 1: brings us to our whole question of the day. Megan
- 8:52Speaker 1: Markle's Instagram account is bag and Harry filmed a video
- 8:57Speaker 1: of her on the beach in black and white? Will
- 8:59Speaker 1: you follow her? Already told you his answer, I think
- 9:01Speaker 1: I've told you mine too. I'm not following her yet,
- 9:03Speaker 1: which is quite telling. Will you follow her? Hey? Go
- 9:06Speaker 1: vote on our Twitter page at Naughty Noise. Rob Our
- 9:09Speaker 1: facebook page is Naughty Go zimb and be sure to
- 9:12Speaker 1: check back down my rower to hear your results. And now, Mark,
- 9:15Speaker 1: this is a massive story. This blew up over the holidays, Mark,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and it's only getting bigger. It's quite a detailed story,
- 9:23Speaker 1: but I'm sure you can make sense of it.
- 9:26Speaker 2: This is a huge story, Rob. So Justin Baldoni has
- 9:28Speaker 2: filed a two hundred and fifty million dollar watsuit against
- 9:31Speaker 2: The New York Times over the explosive Blake Lively allegations.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I't man explain. So Justin Baldoni is not going to
- 9:37Speaker 2: go down without a fight. It ends with us. Director
- 9:41Speaker 2: has filed a two hundred and fifteen million dollars lossuit
- 9:43Speaker 2: against The New York Times. He's accusing the publication of
- 9:46Speaker 2: defamation following escaping exposa that rocked Hollywood. Now. The four
- 9:51Speaker 2: thousand word piece titled we Can Bury Anyone Inside a
- 9:54Speaker 2: Hollywood smear campaign detailed allegations of Baldoni inappropriate behavior on
- 9:58Speaker 2: the side of It ends with Us, including claims by
- 10:01Speaker 2: co star Blake Lively that Valdonia repeatedly entered her makeup
- 10:04Speaker 2: trailer uninvited while she was undressed, including when she was breastfeeding.
- 10:09Speaker 2: But these are various serious claims, So in the lawsuit,
- 10:11Speaker 2: Baldoni vehemently denied allegations, offering text message exchanges with the
- 10:16Speaker 2: Lively as evidence of the cordial working relationship. I know
- 10:19Speaker 2: this is very interesting. So in one text and June
- 10:22Speaker 2: of twenty twenty three, Lively allegedly blamed her assistant for
- 10:25Speaker 2: not delivering updated script pages, signing a message with an X,
- 10:29Speaker 2: which is often interpreted as a friendly kiss.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I take that as a kiss, yeah, of course.
- 10:34Speaker 2: And then the second text, she reportedly invited Baldonia to
- 10:38Speaker 2: her trailer while she was pumping breast milk, writing I'm
- 10:41Speaker 2: just pumping my trailer if you want to work out
- 10:43Speaker 2: our lines, to which Baldoni replied, copy eating with the
- 10:46Speaker 2: crew and we'll head that way soon. Oh so, Rob,
- 10:49Speaker 2: these Baldoni's arguing, these messages are contradicting the narrative of
- 10:54Speaker 2: harassment that she's claiming.
- 10:55Speaker 1: What do you think while this is going to happen? Now?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Everything that she's released about him, all the text messages
- 11:01Speaker 1: that she got about him. He's got text messages now
- 11:04Speaker 1: about her. Now you have to remember what the New
- 11:06Speaker 1: York Times released. It was an amazing piece, a long,
- 11:09Speaker 1: long piece. Four thousand words is a lot of words.
- 11:12Speaker 1: But if you ever read my stories, my articles are
- 11:14Speaker 1: about two hundred words that issue just the sort of
- 11:16Speaker 1: a sense of a difference there, and two hundreds sometimes
- 11:19Speaker 1: I can't even get through that. But four thousands, it's
- 11:22Speaker 1: a lot. It was full of evidence that is all real.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It was not fake. So Justin can't pretend these texts
- 11:29Speaker 1: didn't exist. He's saying they edited them or they massaged
- 11:33Speaker 1: them to tell one side of the story. Well, I
- 11:36Speaker 1: do know. I hit the phones my friends at the
- 11:37Speaker 1: New York Times, of which I have like one, maybe
- 11:40Speaker 1: two marked. It's not a lot too fancy for me.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I know everybody at the Post and US Weekly, but
- 11:45Speaker 1: I don't know anyone at the New York Times. Well
- 11:46Speaker 1: I know a few. They said that The New York
- 11:48Speaker 1: Times reached out for comment, so they didn't just publish this.
- 11:51Speaker 1: They reached out to him and said, we've got these texts.
- 11:54Speaker 1: This is what they say. Do you want to comment?
- 11:56Speaker 1: And in our business market, you have to do that
- 11:58Speaker 1: because you have to prove that you're giving the other
- 12:01Speaker 1: side a chance to have a voice. And I don't
- 12:03Speaker 1: know if Justin's people responded. However, the New York Times piece,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm told there's nothing in there that is wrong. It
- 12:09Speaker 1: might not be as balanced as they like, but this
- 12:12Speaker 1: annoys me. Mark. When people shoot the messenger, they always
- 12:18Speaker 1: blame the news, not what happened, but how it was reported.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Now we're reporters, Mark, we very rarely get it one
- 12:28Speaker 1: hundred percent. It's almost impossible, but we do get a
- 12:30Speaker 1: good ninety ninety five percent. It's like when you testify
- 12:35Speaker 1: at court. If you miscape the date, where you get
- 12:38Speaker 1: the time wrong, then the other side are like, oh,
- 12:41Speaker 1: they're a liar. They've got everything wrong. You can't be trusted. No,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I've got the color of your shoes wrong, but everything
- 12:48Speaker 1: else is right. So I'm told the New York Times
- 12:50Speaker 1: is not worried about this. They're definitely going to fight it.
- 12:55Speaker 1: But I think the part here that Blake should be
- 12:58Speaker 1: worried about is that he's got text messages directly from her,
- 13:02Speaker 1: not publicists, not managers, not agents, from her. And if
- 13:05Speaker 1: you're signing messages with an ex which is a kiss.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Come on, let's be honest, and it's not a romantic kiss.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I've sent you kisses and exes market it doesn't mean
- 13:12Speaker 1: I want to kiss you. Oh god, the thought we're incompatible.
- 13:15Speaker 1: We're good friends, but we should never be love us.
- 13:18Speaker 1: That noted your mother Doris is listening. Notice, Thank you everybody.
- 13:22Speaker 1: But if I signed off with an exit, probably means
- 13:25Speaker 1: I've in a good place with you. And part of
- 13:28Speaker 1: her complaint was that he walked into her trailer while
- 13:32Speaker 1: she was breastfeeding or pumping, and that's just outrageous. But
- 13:36Speaker 1: now he's got a text from her inviting him in,
- 13:39Speaker 1: not just to come in and say hello, she said
- 13:43Speaker 1: in the text, I'm pumping, so if you want to
- 13:46Speaker 1: come in and run lines coming over. It was him
- 13:49Speaker 1: that said no, he's having lunch with the crew. He said,
- 13:51Speaker 1: oh god, the hold your horses. I'll be there in
- 13:53Speaker 1: a minute. This is gonna get so ugly. It's going
- 13:56Speaker 1: to be Johnny deppan Amber heard and they're both going
- 13:58Speaker 1: to destroy one another. Here. Hey, we've got a little
- 14:02Speaker 1: update on this story too. So in these accusations, In
- 14:05Speaker 1: these accusations, he's also saying that Ryan Reynolds was very
- 14:10Speaker 1: aggressive with him when they had a clash, and this
- 14:13Speaker 1: is something that went down in the couple's apartments. So
- 14:16Speaker 1: it appears as if Ryan and Blake invited Justin over
- 14:20Speaker 1: to their pentase to talk to him about how production
- 14:25Speaker 1: was going. He said it turned into a horrible confrontation
- 14:28Speaker 1: and a very aggressive Ryan Reynolds came at him. He
- 14:34Speaker 1: left there like really upset, and he said he was
- 14:37Speaker 1: willing to try and repair the working relationship. Ultimately, big
- 14:41Speaker 1: picture here, they didn't get along. Blake and Justin hated
- 14:45Speaker 1: each other from day one. He has complaints about her.
- 14:48Speaker 1: She has really really serious complaints about him. And now
- 14:53Speaker 1: I think it's going to end in tears for everyone. Ah,
- 14:57Speaker 1: this is a story. We will definitely keep you in
- 14:59Speaker 1: the loop. It's not going away. Although I do predict Mark,
- 15:02Speaker 1: this will ultimately be settled. I don't think this will
- 15:06Speaker 1: end up in court. I don't. I think it will
- 15:08Speaker 1: ultimately be be settled. And what are they going to
- 15:11Speaker 1: do with part two? There's another part of this book, Mark,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I love this movie. There's another part of this book.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I don't think we're ever going to see that. Okay,
- 15:18Speaker 1: We're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:20Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I'm your host room Shooter with our dear friend Mark Lupo.
- 15:30Speaker 1: We really we had a couple of more topics to do, Mark,
- 15:32Speaker 1: but we were talking so much to they catching up.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Mister, and this to you, and there's been just so
- 15:37Speaker 2: much news this holiday.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But that is so much reason. We'll get to it. It's
- 15:40Speaker 1: got some really good ones. Let's get to the polls first.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Thank you, Mark, Brad and Angelina finally have settled their
- 15:46Speaker 1: divorce after eight years. Will these two ever be friends?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Have a local Ninety five percent said no, they are

- 17:46Speaker 1: So she posted some pictures on vacation. She always looks fabulous.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Let's be honest here, Martha is gorgeous. If you've ever
- 17:51Speaker 1: met her in person, which is flawless, Mark. I mean,
- 17:53Speaker 1: it doesn't matter age one of you. I think she's

- 18:39Speaker 1: what gives you away. So maybe that's why Martha's hiding
- 18:42Speaker 1: her hands. Martha, if you're listening, and I know she
- 18:44Speaker 1: does occasionally. A friend of hers told me she likes
- 18:46Speaker 1: this shirt. What's she excellent taste? So I'm gonna be
- 18:48Speaker 1: nice to your Martha because you're a fan A friend
