- 0:54Speaker 2: the Conqueror, Lord of Light Sabers and Dark Chocolate Phoenix.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Mm mmmm, welcome back. How you doing tonight? I'm not bad.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I'm tired.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Just got back from visiting friends in Toronto for their birthday,
- 1:09Speaker 2: so I'm happy I got to spend time with them.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Haven't seen them in a long time, so I'm just
- 1:14Speaker 2: happy that I got there. But you know, of course
- 1:16Speaker 2: you suffer when it comes to, you know, lack of sleep.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So here I am. Did you catch up with Drizzy
- 1:22Speaker 1: while you're up there?
- 1:23Speaker 4: Absolutely not not No love didn't stop by the mansion.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. I don't know if I'm would be a
- 1:31Speaker 1: welcome there. I don't think I'm the tight So.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Is it a age limit type thing?
- 1:37Speaker 1: You think? I don't.
- 1:40Speaker 4: You said it, not me, I ain't. I'm just saying,
- 1:42Speaker 4: you know, I didn't. I didn't say what that age
- 1:45Speaker 4: limit was. You know, you know you might be too
- 1:47Speaker 4: young for the man.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Listen, I'm not going there to that conversation he did.
- 1:53Speaker 3: He did the Jennifer Lopez allegedly.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I'm saying out of it, I'm not anyway.
- 1:59Speaker 4: I am here for the mess, folks. It's for all nerds.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Show it's your boy been. I mean, I'm feeling pretty
- 2:06Speaker 4: good tonight.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I can't lie. I like super cleaned up my little
- 2:11Speaker 4: studio that you see right here. I know you can't
- 2:13Speaker 4: y'all out there cannot see the difference at all, But
- 2:16Speaker 4: it made a major difference in my life. I feel
- 2:19Speaker 4: like the Limitless Pill, like you know, and that's something
- 2:22Speaker 4: that people don't know for real.
- 2:23Speaker 3: People don't remember that about the movie Limitless.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Like when he first takes the pill, you know, the
- 2:28Speaker 4: very first thing he does after that is cleans shit
- 2:31Speaker 4: up and you know there's a jewel in that right there,
- 2:34Speaker 4: because it really tells you that, you know, when you
- 2:36Speaker 4: had that clean space around you, that's how your thoughts work,
- 2:39Speaker 4: you know, your mind where it's like, you know, just having.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Clean, good energy really helps a lot.
- 2:44Speaker 4: So whenever I'm like about to get busy on something,
- 2:48Speaker 4: that's what I do, and like, so I really rearrange everything.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I got my controller that you can't see right below here,
- 2:55Speaker 4: but I also rehooked my turntables up back over here
- 2:57Speaker 4: because I haven't been messing with them. I had a
- 2:59Speaker 4: lot of jump covering them for the longest and like
- 3:01Speaker 4: that's the worst. So now I got my turntables up.
- 3:05Speaker 4: You might have caught me on Twitch dot tv Slash
- 3:07Speaker 4: for All Nerds at the night. I was on my
- 3:08Speaker 4: controller the other night. But I'm about to get back
- 3:11Speaker 4: on the turntables real soon. I've been playing a lot
- 3:14Speaker 4: of vinyl on them, joints and everything, bringing them back
- 3:17Speaker 4: to the essence and all that. So I'm gonna do
- 3:20Speaker 4: some live sets on there. I got a bunch of
- 3:22Speaker 4: forty five I want to go through. So Twitch dot
- 3:25Speaker 4: tv Slash for All Nerds. If you're not following make
- 3:27Speaker 4: sure you're following already, because yeah, I'm gonna be doing
- 3:30Speaker 4: a lot more on there. In fact, we'll be too
- 3:33Speaker 4: late by the time you hear this. But what's the
- 3:36Speaker 4: night Tuesday?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Right?
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Every Tuesday night at nine to thirty pm, Luna
- 3:42Speaker 4: and I will be live on twitch dot tv slash
- 3:45Speaker 4: for all nerds playing different games. Right now, we're doing
- 3:48Speaker 4: a run through a Balder's Gate three, you know, the classic,
- 3:53Speaker 4: and it's it's been great so far, highly entertaining, if
- 3:57Speaker 4: I do say so myself.
- 3:58Speaker 1: No, it's definitely funny.
- 4:00Speaker 2: It'll be cool, like if you ever get a VR
- 4:02Speaker 2: headset that you do some of the VR videos with
- 4:04Speaker 2: him because it's VR videos or hilarious.
- 4:06Speaker 1: The OV your pub race are broke down mid Rice.
- 4:11Speaker 1: The PlayStation VR is so no, I'm talking about Oculus,
- 4:15Speaker 1: not that ESVR doesn't exist.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Abandon that joint, And the sad thing is it had
- 4:22Speaker 4: some fire Like Jedi Starfighter VR.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Was incredible, but it was silly.
- 4:30Speaker 4: I got to run that a couple of times and
- 4:33Speaker 4: that almost made me drop the coin on that joint
- 4:35Speaker 4: until they abandoned it. And then I, you know, abandoned
- 4:39Speaker 4: that idea along with it.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You can still get it.
- 4:41Speaker 2: There's a there's an indie version of it in the
- 4:43Speaker 2: I'm sure in that library. Like the types of games
- 4:46Speaker 2: that Luna finds that they're not huge publishers, are just
- 4:49Speaker 2: people who just been on there and like are just
- 4:53Speaker 2: utilizing what they can with the with the device and
- 4:56Speaker 2: the hardware, and that shit works and that's sh It's hilarious.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Like I said, like, you really got it. You gotta
- 5:01Speaker 2: get on it with him if you do, if.
- 5:03Speaker 4: You get that, yeah, But for now we live on there, Twitch,
- 5:06Speaker 4: I TV slash for all nerves, you know, hit us
- 5:08Speaker 4: up in the comments all that good stuff, say what up?
- 5:10Speaker 4: Oh man, I'm still not so much homecoming. You know,
- 5:14Speaker 4: I was thinking about homecoming.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I think if y'all.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Follow us on the socials, you saw the video where
- 5:20Speaker 4: I posted where my brother young Grew was pretty much
- 5:24Speaker 4: berating me about how Jonathan Hitman is the greatest X
- 5:28Speaker 4: Men writer of all time and also doing his best
- 5:32Speaker 4: to big up Jimmy Hendrick's Purple Hayes, which you know,
- 5:34Speaker 4: was really an amazing moment for me.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So thank you very much for that.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Groo my boy, my brother, and you know, I pretty
- 5:42Speaker 4: much agree with him that Hitman is the man.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You see.
- 5:47Speaker 3: How see how difficult that was for you to say it?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Right?
- 5:50Speaker 3: I couldn't even get it.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Out of my mouth.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Hey, yo, I mean, it's just there's so many great writers.
- 5:54Speaker 4: But you know, like you was saying in the video,
- 5:56Speaker 4: it's not just you know, when you're saying that someone's best,
- 5:59Speaker 4: it's not like you're saying that these other people aren't
- 6:01Speaker 4: great or also aren't the best.
- 6:03Speaker 3: It's just you know, hit Min is the one.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I don't know, I ain't all that, you know what
- 6:08Speaker 4: I mean. I'm gonna let that one go. There's definitely
- 6:12Speaker 4: a great distression mater repeat that on our channels and
- 6:17Speaker 4: all that good stuff.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Have you picked up on a witcher yet? Have you
- 6:19Speaker 1: started watching that?
- 6:20Speaker 3: Nah kind of like on the side and.
- 6:25Speaker 4: You know, like, you know, the moments that I've caught
- 6:29Speaker 4: made me like, nah, I'm good.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Ain't no way man. That shit looked like c w
- 6:33Speaker 3: at best man.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That looks nothing was the same.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Since we talked about Drake earlier.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Waiting this, it's too late.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It's I already had that sentiment when it was first revealed,
- 6:48Speaker 2: or when it was first announced or blew up that
- 6:53Speaker 2: my boy wasn't gonna be girled anymore, which is crazy
- 6:56Speaker 2: because he is Gerald. He doesn't you know, he doesn't
- 7:00Speaker 2: an act like GARYLD. He is GARYLD and too. You know,
- 7:06Speaker 2: there's certain shows and stories where you can interchange the
- 7:12Speaker 2: actor all the time and you could pretty much be okay,
- 7:15Speaker 2: Like we've seen that Batman right. A million people could
- 7:18Speaker 2: be Batman right, and there's a certain approach and maybe
- 7:22Speaker 2: gravitas that you might need, depending on the tone of
- 7:25Speaker 2: the show of the movie in this case, in the
- 7:27Speaker 2: case of Batman example, But at the end of the day,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it could generally be anybody right, and you'll have your
- 7:32Speaker 2: favorites or whatnot. When it comes to the Witcher, Henry
- 7:37Speaker 2: cavill or nothing, Henry cavill Or Reriot because Liam Hensworth
- 7:42Speaker 2: blessed his soul.
- 7:44Speaker 1: He's doing the best he can with what he got.
- 7:47Speaker 1: That ain't it. That ain't it?
- 7:50Speaker 2: And I think I also think the hairstylist went with
- 7:53Speaker 2: Henry because that wig ain't even the same. No, no,
- 7:58Speaker 2: it's not it's not he's right, it's not sitting, it's
- 8:02Speaker 2: it's not right.
- 8:03Speaker 1: This is that's not right.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Everything you said is true, but nothing can compare to
- 8:09Speaker 4: the wig work that is done on my man. Laurence
- 8:11Speaker 4: Fishburn on the latest season.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Oh my god, Oh my god.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Let me just say I thought that was weird that
- 8:18Speaker 2: they brought Laurence. Not because clearly it's Laurence Fishburn. It's like, oh,
- 8:22Speaker 2: he's a legend. But it's like, I Laurence Fishburn in
- 8:25Speaker 2: that setting again, not I don't want to box him in.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I'm not saying he can't be in the whole ren
- 8:31Speaker 2: Fair setting. I'm not saying that. I'm saying that's not
- 8:36Speaker 2: exactly his ministry.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But it could be.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I'm saying, Honous, it's.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Weird because of Lim and it makes it and it
- 8:43Speaker 2: makes the inclusion of him seem weirder, like, damn, we
- 8:45Speaker 2: need to put a band aid on this.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Let's throw in Morpheus.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Is straight up, that's what it is.
- 8:52Speaker 1: That's what it feels like. And I don't like that.
- 8:54Speaker 4: And also, like I read one review and they said
- 8:57Speaker 4: it best it's not just uh Liam, right, Damn, I
- 9:00Speaker 4: have to.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Look series series acting funny.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It's not just Liam, it's just the whole show.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It's definitely the budget, like it never had that big
- 9:10Speaker 4: a budget in the first place, but.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Look good that always look good to me.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Yeah, they weren't bad.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Okay, don't let's me act like this was like a
- 9:21Speaker 2: third grade experiment.
- 9:23Speaker 4: But like I say, it's it is approaching c W levels.
- 9:27Speaker 4: And to me it was always like I watched the
- 9:30Speaker 4: first season and I was never.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Like, ooh, you know remember that scene in the Witcher.
- 9:34Speaker 3: There was none of that. It was just like the
- 9:36Speaker 3: Witcher happened.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that was I fucked heavy with the Witcher, which
- 9:39Speaker 1: is why I wanted to talk about it.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I'm heavy with you, fucked heavy with Henry Carell. Let's
- 9:43Speaker 3: keep it real both.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And now with his departure, I tried, and I don't
- 9:50Speaker 2: want it because just.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Like me, I'll watched pretty much anything that man is in.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Even though I keep man, I keep hearing on the loaded.
- 9:58Speaker 2: It's something that Bud I'm sure and I I love Henry,
- 10:02Speaker 2: but I'm not gonna watch just anything he's like. I'm
- 10:03Speaker 2: not that much of a stand like I really have
- 10:05Speaker 2: to care about the subject.
- 10:06Speaker 4: I watched most of the things like him, but I'm
- 10:09Speaker 4: just also hearing that personally, he's just you know that
- 10:11Speaker 4: boy ain't right.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I'm like John Snow, I don't want it when it
- 10:14Speaker 2: comes to Liam as GARYL and I.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Like, and I want to.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I want to And I tried because and I still
- 10:22Speaker 2: will continue to try. I barely got through the first episode,
- 10:26Speaker 2: to be quite honest with you, Yeah, I mean, well, no,
- 10:28Speaker 2: that's not true.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I got through the first episode. I'm on a second.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I barely got through the second.
- 10:32Speaker 2: And that's just because I just kept staring like, that's
- 10:36Speaker 2: not that, nigga, Like I just my like the suspension
- 10:40Speaker 2: of what belief.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I guess you're supposed to have like that.
- 10:43Speaker 2: He it's the same, you know how they switch out
- 10:45Speaker 2: the cav you know, aunt skin a light skin onf
- 10:47Speaker 2: VIV versus.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Dark skin on VIV.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Like, oh, I stopped watching him.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It was it's a very jarring change.
- 10:52Speaker 2: And it's like and then nobody and then of course
- 10:56Speaker 2: understandably nobody is commenting on it.
- 10:58Speaker 1: They shouldn't want anybody talk about characters. But then also they.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Try to like play me in my face and retcon
- 11:04Speaker 2: this series, like they took like old clips and used
- 11:08Speaker 2: all the one with Henry with his back turn or
- 11:10Speaker 2: his face to the side, and then had Liam redo
- 11:14Speaker 2: a fucking battle in one other scene, like like he
- 11:18Speaker 2: was there the whole time, like, no, nigga, don't try
- 11:20Speaker 2: to play me. That's not that's not him. So all
- 11:24Speaker 2: that to say, I know I'm not the only one
- 11:26Speaker 2: feeling this way. I'm really trying to give Liam a
- 11:28Speaker 2: chance because because to his credit, he is he is.
- 11:30Speaker 2: He ain't doing a bad job. It's just not connecting
- 11:35Speaker 2: with you, bro, I'm not so I don't. I don't
- 11:38Speaker 2: know where this is going. I don't know when if
- 11:39Speaker 2: it's going with this, I need them to wrap it
- 11:41Speaker 2: up at this point.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I mean they are one season in this cancel.
- 11:44Speaker 1: No wrap it up now. I know it's too late, but.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Once once Henry said, nah, y'all should have realized the
- 11:52Speaker 2: gravy chain was over.
- 11:54Speaker 1: For them.
- 11:55Speaker 2: And what's interesting is when, because if you go back
- 11:58Speaker 2: to when this whole thing first blew up that he
- 12:00Speaker 2: was leaving, it was about creative differences with the with
- 12:04Speaker 2: the development team, right with the screenwriters and all this
- 12:06Speaker 2: other stuff, and you know, he and and I didn't
- 12:09Speaker 2: realize just how badly he disagreed with them until I
- 12:13Speaker 2: saw this season and then I was like, or this
- 12:15Speaker 2: first few episodes, I'm just like, damn, I'm starting to
- 12:19Speaker 2: understand why he was like, hell no, and from what
- 12:22Speaker 2: I'm seeing in the progression of the story, just like
- 12:24Speaker 2: looking at online notes stuff, I'm just like, this is
- 12:28Speaker 2: not this is not the story that I want to
- 12:30Speaker 2: hear or see of Garyl. And again the choices, that dialogue,
- 12:34Speaker 2: choices that that Garyl would not fucking well Henry's Garrel
- 12:36Speaker 2: would not fucking do.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I don't, I don't know. I don't think it's it's
- 12:40Speaker 1: not me, it's not it's not for me.
- 12:43Speaker 4: I think it's just more, you know, wrap it up.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I think it's more Henry Cabilla not being there because,
- 12:47Speaker 4: like I said, the show has always been mit I
- 12:49Speaker 4: think Henry to.
- 12:50Speaker 1: You who you not to me?
- 12:54Speaker 2: And not if everyone who fucking floated this show for
- 12:57Speaker 2: all these fucking years. Otherwise this wouldn't even be talking
- 13:00Speaker 2: about the.
- 13:01Speaker 1: The third season and people barely you know, it's all
- 13:04Speaker 1: Netflix years. That's forever.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And you know that Netflix four seasons of Netflix gives
- 13:10Speaker 2: zero ships and will cancel ship that's.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Popular as fuck.
- 13:13Speaker 2: They're like, oh, y'all have three billion viewers, bet not enough,
- 13:18Speaker 2: pull the plug like nephis don't give a damn, so
- 13:21Speaker 2: like come on, man, come on. But anyway, that's how
- 13:25Speaker 2: I feel about the Witch.
- 13:32Speaker 3: That's a blow in review.
- 13:35Speaker 1: He trying trying his best, but god damn not that
- 13:40Speaker 1: it's the wig. Anyway. What else you watching? Ben? A lot?
- 13:45Speaker 3: I watched Welcome to Darry. I'm not sure if I'm
- 13:47Speaker 3: going to continue.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I got Oh you were so hype about it last week.
- 13:52Speaker 2: You were talking about how it was funny. When I
- 13:54Speaker 2: say hype that you you it was funny and you
- 13:56Speaker 2: were like, oh, this is so silly.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I gotta be on it yea, and yeah, oh yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 4: When if you baby was eating people, that was that
- 14:03Speaker 4: was definitely worth my time.
- 14:05Speaker 1: When you said that, I was like, I'm out.
- 14:06Speaker 4: But baby has not been eating people lately. Not enough
- 14:10Speaker 4: kids have been getting eight since the first episode. I
- 14:12Speaker 4: think one of them kids might have survived, and they're
- 14:15Speaker 4: dragging that mystery out way too long.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:18Speaker 3: It's like, let them let me know if the kid
- 14:19Speaker 3: made it or not.
- 14:21Speaker 4: And in general, like again, I read another review that
- 14:24Speaker 4: echoed my same thoughts that it just is not scary.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Is it supposed to be?
- 14:31Speaker 3: I would think so, you know.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Like it was never scary to me. It is funny
- 14:35Speaker 1: harder to me.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, maybe that's what they're trying to do here,
- 14:40Speaker 4: and it is slightly funny hard.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Like if you have if you have clown phobia, then yes,
- 14:46Speaker 2: this is probably terrifying at all.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Anglish Yeah, no, I.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Like I told you all, when I watched the recent movies,
- 14:55Speaker 3: I was cracking up. I don't know. I might give
- 14:57Speaker 3: it another episode at some point, but right.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Now it's so why not. I still haven't understood why not? Why?
- 15:03Speaker 1: Why are was that?
- 15:04Speaker 2: Now?
- 15:04Speaker 1: You want eight? And said, hellma, like.
- 15:07Speaker 3: You're not really It's just one of the things, like.
- 15:11Speaker 4: One okay, you know what I'm saying, One of those
- 15:13Speaker 4: things where this show is just not that good and
- 15:16Speaker 4: life is short, you know.
- 15:17Speaker 3: That is like one of my rules in life, like I'm.
- 15:20Speaker 1: The baby with the baby eating monsters were fine.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that was fine, But after a while, I'm not
- 15:26Speaker 4: going to power through something when it's mid okay, you know,
- 15:31Speaker 4: and it ain't like it has some really good performances.
- 15:33Speaker 4: There's like parts of the show that I really like,
- 15:37Speaker 4: but just overall, it's like, is this really worth my time?
- 15:41Speaker 3: Like I just did that this year. I powered through
- 15:44Speaker 3: Alien Earth? Oh my god.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Oof. Bad not even bad as much as just like
- 15:55Speaker 1: terrible in some way. Wait, wait, wait, wait, what's the wait.
- 16:00Speaker 2: It's not bad, but it's terrible, which in my head
- 16:03Speaker 2: is objectively worse.
- 16:05Speaker 1: But wait a minute.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Alien Earth was like good and terrible.
- 16:09Speaker 4: The it's kind of the same thing that's happening on
- 16:12Speaker 4: it where it's so utterly ridiculous, you know, just like
- 16:16Speaker 4: the military trying to use it against the comedies on
- 16:20Speaker 4: Alien Earth. When a spaceship full of alien specimens crashes
- 16:24Speaker 4: on Earth, the billionaire tech genius sends in a bunch
- 16:30Speaker 4: of synthesoids to you know, find out what happened under crash,
- 16:35Speaker 4: which sounds reasonable, except the sentenzoids all have the brains
- 16:38Speaker 4: of children.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So comedy ensues, right, comedy and foolishness.
- 16:44Speaker 3: And suits on every level. And it's one of those
- 16:47Speaker 3: things like I'm not sure.
- 16:49Speaker 4: I guess they're just saying that billionaire tech geniuses that
- 16:53Speaker 4: we some people adore in our own reality might not
- 16:57Speaker 4: be as smart as they say they are.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Duh dub.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I'm a homeboy said that he was gonna save them
- 17:03Speaker 2: niggas that was in a submersible man that didn't work out,
- 17:07Speaker 2: none of his planned He was gonna save the the
- 17:10Speaker 2: cave divers or miners that were stuck in the cave.
- 17:14Speaker 4: For that, like it was I think that manes flying
- 17:17Speaker 4: cars at one point, so you know, things just have
- 17:20Speaker 4: not really worked out that well for him. But anyway, yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 4: so it's the same type of thing on Alien Earth.
- 17:25Speaker 4: But despite the utter foolishness and the comedy that it
- 17:29Speaker 4: did ensue, It's like, was it really worth it to
- 17:32Speaker 4: have to suffer through those eight episodes of Alien Earth?
- 17:35Speaker 4: Because it just was not that good?
- 17:37Speaker 2: You know, I'm sorry, here's the question, how to get
- 17:40Speaker 2: through to eight? Why did you just stop at like
- 17:43Speaker 2: two and a half because.
- 17:45Speaker 4: There was something like, just like with Welcome to Darry
- 17:48Speaker 4: there are certain characters who are absolutely killing it.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:52Speaker 4: There's this cybory By, this black dude who is so dope,
- 17:56Speaker 4: and he has this rivalry with this sense who's looks
- 18:00Speaker 4: like the David Bowie, I mean, not David Bowie, was
- 18:03Speaker 4: my man Rugger Howard, who was in the original Blade Runner.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Like he's that version of sent you know, the spiky,
- 18:08Speaker 4: blonde hair, white dude and him and this black guy
- 18:12Speaker 4: have this rivalry and whenever they're on screen it is
- 18:16Speaker 4: so worth it. It's just the rest of the show
- 18:19Speaker 4: around and I'll welcome to Darry. They have a character
- 18:26Speaker 4: who is playing mister Struthers, I think that's his name.
- 18:30Speaker 4: He's the he appears in The Shining. He's the older
- 18:33Speaker 4: black man in The Shining who has the Shining, who
- 18:36Speaker 4: has to tell about the powers. So this is his
- 18:38Speaker 4: younger version and he's working with the military to find it.
- 18:42Speaker 4: And the after playing him is fucking phenomenal. So every
- 18:46Speaker 4: time he's on screen, it's so worth it. But again,
- 18:50Speaker 4: it's the rest of the show. That's all I can
- 18:54Speaker 4: say about that. I watched a couple of movies this weekend.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Was okay, real quick. I made a video about this.
- 19:00Speaker 4: But I want to give a bit shout out to
- 19:02Speaker 4: something that I really love.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Is this movie Good News. It's on Netflix right now.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Oh my god, y'all.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Like it's a Korean satire, dark comedy. It blends a
- 19:15Speaker 4: whole lot of genres. It simply put one of the
- 19:19Speaker 4: most imaginative films that I've seen in recent years. It's
- 19:23Speaker 4: about the hijacking of a plane in Korea and a
- 19:27Speaker 4: response to it. It's based on a true story, and
- 19:30Speaker 4: it's based on the and about the military's response to
- 19:33Speaker 4: the hijacking. It's just as satire about a lot of
- 19:36Speaker 4: things that are very very relevant to our society today,
- 19:39Speaker 4: is what I'll say, Mmm, yes, extremely I in fact,
- 19:44Speaker 4: as I was distressing a film that I don't like
- 19:47Speaker 4: to even name at this point, when I was distressing
- 19:50Speaker 4: it on threads, but I'll name it here because you
- 19:52Speaker 4: know we have well we have some of those fans.
- 19:54Speaker 4: But one bad out another, I would say that this
- 19:58Speaker 4: is the type of sat tired of one better after another,
- 20:01Speaker 4: wish as it was so good News on Netflix, like
- 20:05Speaker 4: I say, simply put, one of the most imaginative films
- 20:09Speaker 4: I've seen in a long time, and definitely one of
- 20:13Speaker 4: my films of the year easily, like it's up there,
- 20:16Speaker 4: like it's just been bad Man now last few five years.
- 20:22Speaker 4: It's pretty much every year it's some foreign film to
- 20:24Speaker 4: me that is taking the cake, like right now, Centers
- 20:28Speaker 4: is still my film of the year. But Good News
- 20:31Speaker 4: right up there nets with it, you know, right up there,
- 20:34Speaker 4: because it's like seeing a movie where I'm like, oh, like,
- 20:37Speaker 4: like I said, right at a pause of like that,
- 20:39Speaker 4: wait what am I watching?
- 20:41Speaker 1: You know?
- 20:42Speaker 4: Hold up, we were just I was just in a
- 20:44Speaker 4: room full of military bureaucracts and now I'm watching a
- 20:46Speaker 4: western what just happened?
- 20:49Speaker 1: You know?
- 20:50Speaker 4: And then it all made sense when I rewounded, and
- 20:52Speaker 4: you know, I'm like, oh, oh, okay, you know different, Okay, okay,
- 20:58Speaker 4: and then it goes from there.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, that sounds relative relevant to my interest.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you've got to, Like.
- 21:05Speaker 4: I tell you, when I like when I bring up
- 21:06Speaker 4: movies like are are Athena Good News? I'm putting this
- 21:11Speaker 4: in that same category of foreign films that are blue Giant,
- 21:15Speaker 4: you know, damn it, all of them on Netflix. All
- 21:18Speaker 4: those movies I just listened Athenolix, Blue Giant, Good News,
- 21:23Speaker 4: all on Netflix. For the greatest films you ever see,
- 21:26Speaker 4: I can say that, hands down.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and I considering I've seen all of them, with
- 21:32Speaker 1: exception the Good News, I have to agree with you.
- 21:35Speaker 3: And you saw a blue Giant.
- 21:36Speaker 1: No excuse me, I haven't seen Blue Giant.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Go watch that as soon as you can, man for real.
- 21:41Speaker 4: That like, if you need some inspiration in your life,
- 21:43Speaker 4: if anyone needs some inspiration in your life, go watch
- 21:45Speaker 4: Blue Giant as soon as you can. It's just one
- 21:48Speaker 4: of the most inspiring, one of the most beautiful films.
- 21:50Speaker 4: It'll make you feel so good about life, about being
- 21:53Speaker 4: a creative, about living your dreams, about everything. Man, Blue
- 21:58Speaker 4: Giant is one of them films I put on whenever
- 22:00Speaker 4: I need to feel good. You know, I played the
- 22:03Speaker 4: soundtrack constantly. Fucking hell, it's one of the greatest movies
- 22:07Speaker 4: I've ever seen on the.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Inside of the spectrum. Have you at all been catching
- 22:11Speaker 1: up with gen V?
- 22:13Speaker 4: Nah? Man, I all you see how my paws right there?
- 22:17Speaker 4: That was just like, what the fuck is Genv? In
- 22:19Speaker 4: my head even a while. Yeah, I gave up on
- 22:21Speaker 4: The Boys, and like I've said many a time on
- 22:25Speaker 4: the show, if read every single issue of The Boys,
- 22:27Speaker 4: poking all the spinoffs that ever existance, So I'm good
- 22:31Speaker 4: on that whole universe.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I did finish this season, and I would
- 22:40Speaker 2: say this season was better than last season. I don't
- 22:43Speaker 2: know how much longer they got to go on this
- 22:45Speaker 2: in terms of popularity, Like it could just remain extremely
- 22:48Speaker 2: popular because now they're going into Marie's Like I guess
- 22:52Speaker 2: as as the readers and and the purest say that
- 22:54Speaker 2: her real pure, her true power is it. But you
- 22:58Speaker 2: know it's gonna jump the sharks. It's it's you know,
- 23:02Speaker 2: it's at the point now where they're like fully.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Merging the Boys universe and stuff.
- 23:06Speaker 2: So you know, they've always been hinting at it over
- 23:10Speaker 2: the years, and now it's like now it's like there.
- 23:12Speaker 1: So, like I said, it's it made. It may got
- 23:14Speaker 1: one more year in it, we'll see.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they can't afford those actors.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Oh all of them?
- 23:19Speaker 2: No, And that's another reason you don't see all of
- 23:21Speaker 2: them in every episode, right, You only see one of
- 23:23Speaker 2: them at a time typically, and then for like a
- 23:26Speaker 2: very short period of time.
- 23:27Speaker 4: So I don't know, because there's a rare spinoff where
- 23:29Speaker 4: you see them, you know, people from the original show.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Pop up, and then typically when you if you do
- 23:35Speaker 2: like the cheat that they use is like using like
- 23:37Speaker 2: if it's a video from like the person's like being
- 23:40Speaker 2: like on a news footage.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Or something like that, they'll use that and be like, oh,
- 23:44Speaker 1: look it's an in story news.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Right.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So but no, I I you know, like I said,
- 23:55Speaker 1: I think it was better this season. I do like
- 23:57Speaker 1: that they've you know, leveled up, Marie.
- 24:00Speaker 2: They leveled up, like they've gone more into like the
- 24:03Speaker 2: complications of and you know how they liked because these
- 24:06Speaker 2: are the young kids right, the complications of life and
- 24:08Speaker 2: the complications of relationships, and relationship as a soup, and
- 24:12Speaker 2: you know the horrorsm manipulation and this is that. And
- 24:16Speaker 2: the third I'm not going to give it away for
- 24:17Speaker 2: people who are still interested in watching it, but it's
- 24:21Speaker 2: it's it's better than what it has been. I will say,
- 24:26Speaker 2: I don't like you. And even though not unlike you,
- 24:30Speaker 2: I have not read all the books and all this
- 24:31Speaker 2: other stuff, but like you, I've got to a point
- 24:34Speaker 2: where I'm may be at my limit with the level
- 24:37Speaker 2: of the violence shown and and the just nastiness.
- 24:42Speaker 1: It's just nasty. There's a scene where there's a man.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it, and I'm going to keep it
- 24:52Speaker 2: as you No, I'm saying it because if I have
- 24:54Speaker 2: experience that you guys are going to experience. There's a
- 24:58Speaker 2: man and again vague on purpose, but there's a man
- 25:01Speaker 2: where they show him going to the bathroom and you
- 25:04Speaker 2: know how graphic both gen V and the boys are
- 25:07Speaker 2: and from the time he pulls down and pans of
- 25:09Speaker 2: the time he sits on the toilet, you see everything,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and I mean everything anatomically. And at that point I
- 25:16Speaker 2: was like why why? And I understand what the gen
- 25:21Speaker 2: vs and stuff. It's just like, why not because we
- 25:23Speaker 2: fucking can, but why why why? Like I just and
- 25:30Speaker 2: maybe also after seeing the Long Walk, I was just like,
- 25:32Speaker 2: I can't see this ship, no bore, Like I just
- 25:35Speaker 2: my my capacity the stomach that ship. It's it's well
- 25:41Speaker 2: past this limit. And I realized I don't know how
- 25:43Speaker 2: much more I got the.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Stomach that ship. Literally, yeah, it's it's it's doing too
- 25:48Speaker 1: much for me. So that's gen v.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Uh.
- 25:54Speaker 1: But but I'm caught up, y'all, y'all want to talk
- 25:56Speaker 1: about it, Let's talk about it.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Chainsaw a Man that I've been watching that and all
- 26:01Speaker 2: these and that's another thing is always cool to have a.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Watch, buddy, Right, So I watched these with my husband.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So Chainsaw a Man very very one of the most
- 26:10Speaker 2: out there animes. But shit, it is fucking hilarious. It's
- 26:13Speaker 2: fucking well done.
- 26:14Speaker 1: It's smart.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I had mentioned before I saw the movie resi
- 26:18Speaker 2: ARC a couple of weeks back, and that's with the
- 26:23Speaker 2: Bomb Devil.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And I don't know if you've caught up.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I mean, I know you started watching it at some point, Ben,
- 26:28Speaker 2: but I don't know if you followed through.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you got it. It's it's just different.
- 26:33Speaker 2: And yes, there's it's an anime at the same at
- 26:36Speaker 2: the end of the day, and yes there's tropes that
- 26:38Speaker 2: every almost damn near every anime has, but it.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Also goes a level beyond, and I like how it's
- 26:44Speaker 1: good stories.
- 26:45Speaker 2: They're slowly pulling back the layers of like a lot
- 26:48Speaker 2: of the mains so so like the ones where you're like,
- 26:51Speaker 2: this person is op and I don't understand why they're
- 26:53Speaker 2: so op, and they're slowly giving you the bread comes
- 26:57Speaker 2: to be like this is what this person is, this
- 26:59Speaker 2: is what you think this person is, and they start
- 27:02Speaker 2: changing your mind and changing.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Your thoughts and what you thought it was wasn't.
- 27:05Speaker 2: And I'm really appreciating that a lot when it comes
- 27:09Speaker 2: to Chainsaw Man, like they it's a lot of discovery,
- 27:13Speaker 2: and I think that's why I like the show so much.
- 27:14Speaker 2: It's a lot of discovery in terms of who these
- 27:17Speaker 2: characters really and where they're coming from and why do
- 27:19Speaker 2: they move the way they do.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Literally and figuratively like that shit as well.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Yeah, when you.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Meet them, I mean from the first season, it's like
- 27:28Speaker 4: Chainsaw Man meets everybody and they're like fully developed. You know,
- 27:32Speaker 4: they've already had lives and everything before he comes to
- 27:34Speaker 4: the So that is interesting.
- 27:36Speaker 1: That, I mean, he's thirteen things.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Do you know that he's thirteen or sixteen something shit
- 27:41Speaker 2: like that, He's he's young as fuck, which which bothers
- 27:45Speaker 2: me when they when they introduce like sexual elements that I.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Mean, sixteen is still young. But I remember, like, because
- 27:51Speaker 3: isn't he flirting with the demon?
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yes, and everybody's older than him, and she's a nutcase
- 27:58Speaker 1: to say the least, everybody.
- 28:00Speaker 2: He's older than him, And like that's the one thing
- 28:02Speaker 2: I do not and I will continue to say that
- 28:03Speaker 2: I do not like about this show.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Like it's a little it's get a.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Little bit either way.
- 28:10Speaker 4: It's like, you know, my man is horifically violent at thirty.
- 28:15Speaker 2: He's a demon, He's a devil. Like, I mean, he
- 28:18Speaker 2: puchita and that's nothing. I gotta po cheetah. I have
- 28:20Speaker 2: to show you my puchetah that I bought. But like,
- 28:24Speaker 2: that's not even what bothers me. That that's not even
- 28:28Speaker 2: what bothers me. It's it's the idea of these older
- 28:30Speaker 2: women like encroaching on him and he's a child, Like
- 28:35Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't say that I do either.
- 28:39Speaker 4: That's quite but see that's also you know, a sad
- 28:42Speaker 4: and disturbing part of a society is how sex bothers
- 28:46Speaker 4: us more than violence.
- 28:49Speaker 1: It's not so much sex. Sex and not sex don't
- 28:50Speaker 1: bother me.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Underage minor introducing sexual elements bothers.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Me versus introducing horrifically violent elements does not bother I hear, Okay,
- 29:00Speaker 4: that's fair.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Yep, that's what I'm saying. But I didn't say it's just.
- 29:04Speaker 3: This is just I brought up the violence. You were like, yeah, whatever,
- 29:07Speaker 3: you know, let's step back to that pedal.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Shiit As I said, more bother some. This all bother some,
- 29:14Speaker 1: but this is even more bother Someome's but I'm like,
- 29:16Speaker 1: this man is.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Sixteen and be slicing the insight. It's the same thing
- 29:20Speaker 4: going back. Like people were arguing me, and I've seen
- 29:24Speaker 4: not arguing, but we were. I've seen a lot of
- 29:26Speaker 4: distrust because we did our few of Predator bad Lands, right,
- 29:29Speaker 4: and the new Predator bad Lands is PG. Thirteen and
- 29:32Speaker 4: it doesn't include a lot of the traditional there's a
- 29:36Speaker 4: lot of the sense that we were talking about before.
- 29:38Speaker 4: In Alien Earth that go back to Blade Runner and
- 29:41Speaker 4: to every alien movie, and whenever they are dispatched, they have,
- 29:45Speaker 4: as I said on our a few white guts, you know,
- 29:48Speaker 4: spinning up out of them, and there's you don't see
- 29:52Speaker 4: that so much in Predator bad Lands. And so because
- 29:55Speaker 4: of that, people are like, oh, it's Disney fun.
- 29:57Speaker 1: This is not that violent.
- 29:58Speaker 4: And honestly, y'all, I mean this is a slight spoiler
- 30:02Speaker 4: to the level of violence. But at one point one
- 30:04Speaker 4: of the hero characters has a knife on the ground,
- 30:09Speaker 4: and this is the character who fa who's been splitting half.
- 30:13Speaker 4: She's a sense, so her legs are operating separately and
- 30:17Speaker 4: she's fighting, you know, another sense. She uses her legs
- 30:22Speaker 4: to force his head into the knife that her hand
- 30:25Speaker 4: is holding up, and she's lying.
- 30:27Speaker 1: I did not think that's what you were going with that.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna say she used her legs
- 30:31Speaker 2: to force his head like to herself.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I thought something wrong was gonna happen. You really did.
- 30:38Speaker 3: It's a PG thirteen movie, Come on, now, bother me.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I think she does.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I think she does the traditional leadlock, you know,
- 30:47Speaker 4: the black widow all da you know, but that really
- 30:51Speaker 4: like that was there's a scene in Saving Private Ryan
- 30:55Speaker 4: reminiscent of that.
- 30:57Speaker 1: You know, that was like glory to me.
- 31:00Speaker 4: You know, to see somebody like trying not to get
- 31:02Speaker 4: stabbed in the head, you know, the dude like trying
- 31:04Speaker 4: and then she thought from him and flis him into
- 31:07Speaker 4: the like yeah, that see that type of stuff is
- 31:10Speaker 4: like to me, it's like, you know, what are we watching?
- 31:14Speaker 4: And I'm someone who grew up on, you know, way
- 31:16Speaker 4: more violent shit than that. But I grew up on
- 31:20Speaker 4: things like that being all rated and I wasn't supposed
- 31:23Speaker 4: to see them pg. Thirteen. Having violence like that is
- 31:26Speaker 4: crazy to me, you know, it's like that's like, well,
- 31:29Speaker 4: that's how they get away the way with it.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And I realized for me, like when I could just
- 31:33Speaker 2: wave off, at least to a certain level, the violence,
- 31:36Speaker 2: it's when it's particularly when the person is or or
- 31:39Speaker 2: character is made not to be human. Ye like with
- 31:43Speaker 2: with a Homeboy and Chainsaw, Like he's half human half devil, right,
- 31:49Speaker 2: So I'm kind of like whatever, like that's that's just.
- 31:51Speaker 1: What's in him. That's what he's been doing his whole life. Whatever.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I'm not But as mentioned what Long Walk, when I
- 31:57Speaker 2: saw that shit. I wanted to jump out of my skin.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I can deal with it.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Yeah, see I both of them affect me because we
- 32:05Speaker 4: and this is something we distrusted be fore in the show,
- 32:08Speaker 4: going back to The Walking Dead, and that was always
- 32:10Speaker 4: my problem with The Walking Dead is that I felt
- 32:12Speaker 4: they gave it excuse to directors to creators to just
- 32:17Speaker 4: have a million shots of people getting shot of the
- 32:20Speaker 4: faith and the censors won't even.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Because as long as it's a zombie, and as long.
- 32:26Speaker 4: As it's not red blood. That's the funniest thing. If
- 32:29Speaker 4: you use any other color, you can get away with
- 32:31Speaker 4: a lot. And the zombies always hurt black blood or
- 32:35Speaker 4: bio or whatever. So it's like they they got away
- 32:38Speaker 4: with ridiculous amounts of glory. Headshot people getting their head
- 32:42Speaker 4: chopped off left and right, and that's you know, whether
- 32:46Speaker 4: or not it's a zombie. Subliminally, your brain does not
- 32:48Speaker 4: know the difference your brain sees a human getting their
- 32:51Speaker 4: head chopped off, you know, that's how your brain takes it,
- 32:54Speaker 4: Like this is.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Just actually I don't think it does like zombie. I
- 33:00Speaker 1: don't see it.
- 33:01Speaker 4: You see that you but your brain it's like what
- 33:05Speaker 4: was I like, it's how people are talking about. This
- 33:08Speaker 4: is a motivational thing, right. Your brain doesn't know the
- 33:11Speaker 4: difference between you having money and you saying I've got money. Okay,
- 33:17Speaker 4: you know, it just doesn't It's like because your brain
- 33:22Speaker 4: can't see the fucking money, you know. But if you
- 33:25Speaker 4: tell yourself I'm a millionaire, your brain's like, oh, I'm
- 33:27Speaker 4: a millionaire.
- 33:28Speaker 1: You know. It's that type of thing.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Your brain doesn't see these things like we we see things,
- 33:33Speaker 4: but subliminy things are affecting us.
- 33:34Speaker 3: And that's something.
- 33:35Speaker 4: And this goes into a pluribus, which is something I
- 33:39Speaker 4: really I've made two different videos about it and I
- 33:41Speaker 4: got to make another one.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Yeah. I like that. I like the uh the plot
- 33:46Speaker 1: of the story that goes hard.
- 33:48Speaker 4: There's a lot hard and it brings up a lot
- 33:52Speaker 4: of discussion, but this is one of them, and part
- 33:55Speaker 4: of it is like all right and with just to
- 33:56Speaker 4: get into it, Plurbus is a new show for I
- 33:59Speaker 4: Ben Stilligan, right, and you know, we all know if
- 34:02Speaker 4: it's breaking breaking bad. But I also think he used
- 34:05Speaker 4: to write X files and that's what Clervice is. This
- 34:08Speaker 4: type of show because the concept or plot or logline
- 34:13Speaker 4: of Curvice is basically there's the main character, this woman,
- 34:17Speaker 4: and she's a writer and going about her life writing
- 34:21Speaker 4: trashy romance novels and being pretty successful at it.
- 34:25Speaker 3: And then one day everyone on Earth receives this.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Comes it comes to an alien RNA that rewrites everyone's
- 34:38Speaker 4: brains and turns everyone into a collective mind except for
- 34:43Speaker 4: her and eleven other people on planet Earth. Out of
- 34:47Speaker 4: billions of people, there are eleven people who are not
- 34:50Speaker 4: part of this pelective mind. That's not acted by this
- 34:54Speaker 4: colective mind. Every other billion people instantly and irvocably at
- 35:00Speaker 4: this point, turns to this protective mind. And when it
- 35:04Speaker 4: happens on the show, it is an instant thing. Everyone
- 35:08Speaker 4: is like, Okay, we're doing this, We're doing that.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And not just the collective mind, but a very particular
- 35:13Speaker 1: emotion it well, that part is the important. Yeah, I
- 35:23Speaker 1: don't want to get away.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Well, no you can't, because that's all the theme and everything,
- 35:26Speaker 4: all the trailers. The particular emotion seems.
- 35:29Speaker 1: To be good. But I say that seems to be
- 35:33Speaker 1: and this is not it will it remains to be seen, right,
- 35:38Speaker 1: And that's the thing.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah, what I'm gonna say is the emotion is of happiness.
- 35:42Speaker 2: That everyone's full, everyone's presented.
- 35:46Speaker 3: As everyone is definitely presented being happy.
- 35:50Speaker 2: That's an important distinction to make in terms of just
- 35:52Speaker 2: what emotion, because it could be like your collective mind,
- 35:55Speaker 2: everybody's mad as fuck, right, you understand so again and
- 36:00Speaker 2: to your and that, come on, man, we're rady halfway there.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Think about it.
- 36:06Speaker 4: There's a show coming out that's based on this Trauma
- 36:08Speaker 4: book and it's another comic book that I've read that
- 36:10Speaker 4: I'm like, I hate this book and I hope it
- 36:12Speaker 4: never gets a thing, but it blew the fuck up
- 36:14Speaker 4: and it's standing the show, and it's called Crossed, and
- 36:17Speaker 4: it's about humanity basics, not even turning into zombies. They
- 36:22Speaker 4: all getting a lot of humans start getting infected with
- 36:24Speaker 4: the same way. They have this cross branded apost head,
- 36:27Speaker 4: and they've just become the most horrific evil monster you
- 36:30Speaker 4: can imagine. So it's like what you just said, a
- 36:32Speaker 4: collective mind of just being you know, barbaric. I mean,
- 36:37Speaker 4: I don't even want to talk about.
- 36:38Speaker 1: You, all right, right, because it's it's frightening.
- 36:40Speaker 2: But but yeah, so, and yes, the greater questions come
- 36:44Speaker 2: up and this is still early on the story, but
- 36:46Speaker 2: the greater questions come up like.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Is it okay? Is it cool? Like ho is you cool?
- 36:51Speaker 1: If all y'all is happy all the time, but everyone
- 36:54Speaker 1: is is it good? And wild?
- 36:58Speaker 4: I've already made two videos talking because one like, immediately
- 37:02Speaker 4: as soon as I watched the show, I'm like, oh shit,
- 37:04Speaker 4: because there's so much of this has been for any
- 37:07Speaker 4: sci fi head. This is something that's come up mad
- 37:10Speaker 4: times for any coma book reader. This storyline has been it.
- 37:14Speaker 4: But this is one of the first times I've seen
- 37:16Speaker 4: it where it's like, well, the collective mind won out,
- 37:19Speaker 4: Like for those people who watched the Eternals movie from
- 37:22Speaker 4: the MCU, the Eternals in the Comma book can form together,
- 37:26Speaker 4: and they formed this thing called the Uni Mind, and
- 37:29Speaker 4: it's all in their minds as a collective consciousness, and
- 37:32Speaker 4: they made decisions et cetera whenever they need to use
- 37:35Speaker 4: this telepathic power for whatever they need to, et cetera.
- 37:39Speaker 4: But this is also a thing that came up in
- 37:41Speaker 4: an issue with West Coast Avengers where this alien mind
- 37:45Speaker 4: was trying to take over the Earth and use mutants
- 37:48Speaker 4: because they saw mutants as the next dominant species. And
- 37:51Speaker 4: so they're like, okay, we're gonna make a collective mind
- 37:53Speaker 4: out of the mutant. So they've been residing in humans
- 37:56Speaker 4: and they're like, all right, humans, time is over. Now
- 37:58Speaker 4: it's for mutants. So we're gonna take over all the mutics.
- 38:01Speaker 4: And it didn't work out. So this is like the
- 38:03Speaker 4: first time where it's like, oh it worked out, yeah, yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 4: And so it brings up a lot of things. And
- 38:09Speaker 4: this goes back to what I was saying about violence,
- 38:11Speaker 4: about a lot of things we consumed. And while it's
- 38:14Speaker 4: really important to really pay attention to what you consume. Right,
- 38:18Speaker 4: there's a video going around. People have been retweeting and
- 38:21Speaker 4: reposting and all that type of thing with Saul Williams,
- 38:23Speaker 4: the poet. I think he was at the Breakfast Club
- 38:26Speaker 4: and he was talking about this very same thing, right,
- 38:28Speaker 4: But going back to that collective mind and why it's
- 38:30Speaker 4: so important to watch what you consume, because that's.
- 38:33Speaker 1: The funny thing.
- 38:34Speaker 4: People have been comparing Pluribus to chat GPT, right. They've
- 38:37Speaker 4: been like, oh shit, this is like chat GPT because
- 38:40Speaker 4: everybody's using chat GPT and everybody dry a collective mind
- 38:44Speaker 4: because of chat.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Not quite, but I hear, I get the direction you're
- 38:48Speaker 1: going in.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, that's not you with them.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I get, I hear what y'all saying.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's and that is a valid reading of plurbs.
- 38:57Speaker 4: But the other there's another level to it, is the
- 39:00Speaker 4: fact that we are before there was ever a chat GPT.
- 39:03Speaker 4: We live in a collective mindset and a part of
- 39:06Speaker 4: that collective mindset is media. The media we all consume
- 39:10Speaker 4: influences our collective mindset because it tells us rules of society.
- 39:15Speaker 4: It makes us obey the rules. It tells us this
- 39:18Speaker 4: is how your life should be. You should grow up,
- 39:21Speaker 4: you should get married, you should have kids, dot dot
- 39:24Speaker 4: dot down line right. Another brilliant film they Live. If
- 39:28Speaker 4: you've never seen it, what's wrong with you? Watch it
- 39:32Speaker 4: as soon as possible, and it lays all this out
- 39:36Speaker 4: in a track.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Media or a comedy.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Media is powerful, as you seen from a very particular,
- 39:44Speaker 2: you know, well known show called American Gods that Beaman
- 39:46Speaker 2: was a writer on.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And media in that form is a god a god.
- 39:53Speaker 2: And I wanted to say, an overpowering essence. And that's
- 39:57Speaker 2: not just like from a literary perspective, from real life.
- 40:00Speaker 2: It's like a freaking religion.
- 40:03Speaker 3: So it's been overpower in essences.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I do like that.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Secondary read of Floribus again, if you just take it
- 40:10Speaker 2: up a step above just chatting to see the idea.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Because yeah, it's not just media, it's everything. It's religion,
- 40:15Speaker 4: it's all these different things that go about to form society,
- 40:19Speaker 4: and it makes us live in a everyone people live
- 40:24Speaker 4: in a very controlled environment and they move in very
- 40:27Speaker 4: controlled ways, and people can call themselves individuals and all
- 40:31Speaker 4: this stuff, and there's a lot of ego and all
- 40:33Speaker 4: that type of stuff that goes into that that make
- 40:35Speaker 4: you an individual versus that. But we all move very
- 40:40Speaker 4: much in you know, like locked up with friends, with family,
- 40:45Speaker 4: with society. You know, it's very few people who are like, yeah,
- 40:50Speaker 4: fuck out here. You know, I myself to this day,
- 40:54Speaker 4: I don't have children. I really don't see it happening.
- 40:57Speaker 4: And then one of the reasons is because I've always
- 40:59Speaker 4: been like, oh, it's you know, society is you know,
- 41:02Speaker 4: at one point I wanted to have kids, but another
- 41:05Speaker 4: point it was like, oh, society tells me I have
- 41:07Speaker 4: to have kids, And I was like, anything society tells
- 41:13Speaker 4: me I have to do is to me. Another thing
- 41:17Speaker 4: that came up, like this year and me and Tytowna
- 41:19Speaker 4: were just distressing this before the show was unless year
- 41:23Speaker 4: I've really been questioning gender.
- 41:25Speaker 3: I've just I had an experience this year.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Where I'm like, okay, And throughout my life, I've always
- 41:31Speaker 4: been a very i want to say queer leading, but
- 41:34Speaker 4: just very you know things. I just I like to
- 41:38Speaker 4: look at things, you know, and examer things. And I
- 41:40Speaker 4: grew up on people like Prince, Michael Jackson, Rit James
- 41:45Speaker 4: who just you know, David Bowie, Elton John and I
- 41:51Speaker 4: grew up on a lot of very strong women, you know,
- 41:54Speaker 4: as people I adored, like my mother, like Sigourney Weaver,
- 41:59Speaker 4: you know, Linda Hamilton, and films were the type of thing.
- 42:03Speaker 4: So I always grew up like masculinity and feminity were
- 42:07Speaker 4: very fluid, and you know, it didn't really make as
- 42:10Speaker 4: much sense to me.
- 42:11Speaker 1: But then society.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Definitely turned me into the type of ah, this is machuline,
- 42:17Speaker 4: it isn't feminine. For a while, you know, I'm definitely
- 42:19Speaker 4: on that vibe. You know, I was the mass man,
- 42:22Speaker 4: you know, because of just society. But as a kid,
- 42:26Speaker 4: I remember like Prince was like, you know God, I
- 42:28Speaker 4: mean to this day, to me, Princess God, so why
- 42:30Speaker 4: would I ever, you know, think that a man has
- 42:32Speaker 4: to be masculine to be a man, you know, or
- 42:35Speaker 4: a woman has to be feminine to be a woman, right.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Or a person has to be anything.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Yeah, something I've always believed, Like Yoda says, we are
- 42:43Speaker 4: just spiritual beings.
- 42:44Speaker 3: You know, we are energy in this physical form. But
- 42:48Speaker 3: we are energy.
- 42:50Speaker 4: We are not this you know, trash that we're trapped in. Basically,
- 42:56Speaker 4: So why would I consider myself what this body is?
- 43:00Speaker 2: And there are a lot of people, there are a
- 43:03Speaker 2: lot of people who do think like that, but at
- 43:06Speaker 2: least outwardly, you wouldn't know that. And that unique perspective,
- 43:10Speaker 2: just to bring it back to Plorivius, that unique perspective
- 43:12Speaker 2: is why they chose you said, eleven people at this.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Point, Why eleven out of billions don't feel.
- 43:19Speaker 2: The effects of this. I think it's a virus or
- 43:21Speaker 2: whatever it is that actually did this to them. But
- 43:25Speaker 2: that did this to the world, I would say. And
- 43:27Speaker 2: then it's kind of like, how do you negotiate that
- 43:30Speaker 2: world right when you're very much on the outside looking in.
- 43:35Speaker 1: But also it's just like, well, and that's another thing.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Are you on the outside or they on the outside
- 43:39Speaker 2: like these people who is under the influence of this virus?
- 43:42Speaker 1: Right, like which one is it at that point?
- 43:44Speaker 2: Kind of, And it's similar to all this stuff you're saying,
- 43:47Speaker 2: because when you fall outside the realms of social norms,
- 43:50Speaker 2: of societyal normals, things like that, you start feeling like,
- 43:54Speaker 2: wait a minute.
- 43:55Speaker 1: It's one of two ways.
- 43:55Speaker 2: It's either you feel like I don't belong, you feel lonely,
- 43:59Speaker 2: or you feel like, y'all, I'm gonna do what I
- 44:01Speaker 2: want to do.
- 44:01Speaker 1: And it takes a lot of courage. It takes a
- 44:03Speaker 1: lot of this. It takes a lot of that. It
- 44:04Speaker 1: also takes.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Knowing that you're not going to be killed at any
- 44:08Speaker 2: moment too, for having that difference, and sometimes you do
- 44:12Speaker 2: it anyway because you're that fucking courageous. So as we
- 44:16Speaker 2: know through several we know this in many different ways,
- 44:19Speaker 2: right when it talks about who you are, how you
- 44:22Speaker 2: present in this world, how you move, and this, like
- 44:25Speaker 2: there are some things that you cannot change that are
- 44:27Speaker 2: intrinsic to you as a person that you are threatened
- 44:32Speaker 2: by like people are for whatever reason are threatened by it.
- 44:35Speaker 2: And then you become a target and again, like they
- 44:40Speaker 2: it's simplified in this pluribus you know plot that we
- 44:45Speaker 2: just explained, but it makes you think about all these
- 44:48Speaker 2: greater aspects like this m h.
- 44:51Speaker 4: Because like one of the characters, you know, when confronted
- 44:54Speaker 4: with oh, no, we need to fix this, he's like,
- 44:57Speaker 4: why there's no murder, there's no robbery, there's nobody thinking
- 45:02Speaker 4: about color of my skin anymore.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Right, And it's like, well, you make a compelling argument.
- 45:09Speaker 4: And it's funny because, like I said, when you go
- 45:11Speaker 4: back to coma books, there's a lot of what if
- 45:14Speaker 4: from Marvel, right Marvel, you know, people know the show,
- 45:17Speaker 4: but what If was a long running coma book, and
- 45:20Speaker 4: a lot of those stories would always end either really.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Tragically or really weirdly, and a lot of them with especially.
- 45:27Speaker 4: When they evolve mutants or when they evolved superpowers at all,
- 45:31Speaker 4: it always involve humans evolving, and humans evolving would eventually
- 45:36Speaker 4: evolve into a collective mind.
- 45:38Speaker 1: You know.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Even in pop in a society, there's this idea of
- 45:41Speaker 4: the Age of Aquarius, which you know, I think I'm
- 45:44Speaker 4: not sure exactly when it first came to popularity, but
- 45:47Speaker 4: I know in the nineteen sixties and seventies there was
- 45:50Speaker 4: a lot of people talking about it, and the idea
- 45:52Speaker 4: is that we're moving from the Age of whatever into
- 45:57Speaker 4: the Age of Aquarius, and the Age of Aquarius would
- 45:59Speaker 4: be an enlightened time where again a collective mindset, and
- 46:03Speaker 4: it would be a collective mindset of peace and goodwill
- 46:08Speaker 4: that would allow.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Humanity to get over the issues it has right now.
- 46:13Speaker 1: But at what cost? You know, it is the question.
- 46:17Speaker 4: But is that the cost or is that the solution?
- 46:21Speaker 4: And these are all questions that this show brings up,
- 46:23Speaker 4: and that's why I'm really thoroughly enjoying it. Like I said,
- 46:27Speaker 4: I've keeped the first two episodes on Apple TV. Right
- 46:30Speaker 4: now it's fire, I'm gonna drop to of these other
- 46:35Speaker 4: videos that are you know, asking a lot of these questions.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Like one of the videos I'm talking about is how
- 46:40Speaker 4: does exactly work? Who is exactly making decisions?
- 46:45Speaker 1: You know?
- 46:45Speaker 4: That's the thing is billions of people in a collective
- 46:48Speaker 4: mind and you see when they're asked questions are when
- 46:53Speaker 4: they need to make a decision, there seems to be
- 46:54Speaker 4: a pause of thinking or collaborating.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Like buffering. Yeah, then the answer comes out, Yeah.
- 47:01Speaker 3: But how the fuck you buffer a billion minds? You know,
- 47:03Speaker 3: billions of minds, not a you know billions.
- 47:06Speaker 4: So that was one question and then it's like, go
- 47:10Speaker 4: with that questions, that's why I start thinking about the
- 47:14Speaker 4: whole good thing. And it's like, hmm where I start
- 47:17Speaker 4: because one of the questions leads to Okay, who made decisions?
- 47:21Speaker 4: And this is all revealed in the very first or
- 47:24Speaker 4: second episode the most but the collective mindset is now vegetarian.
- 47:31Speaker 4: And you know, myself, being a you know, semi pesgetarian
- 47:35Speaker 4: whatever i'm you know, that's good for humanity, et cetera. Yes,
- 47:38Speaker 4: but who made that decision? Because the majority of people
- 47:41Speaker 4: on Earth right now are not. So it's because their
- 47:44Speaker 4: mindset gets elevated, you know, where it's like, oh no,
- 47:48Speaker 4: now we're vegetarians, and everybody, everybody there, you know who's
- 47:52Speaker 4: in the collective mind is like, yes, we're all vegetarians.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Now that seems right, Well that's the case then, you know,
- 48:01Speaker 4: but then the next one is and that okay, that
- 48:03Speaker 4: goes back to programming. That's what I said, there is
- 48:06Speaker 4: that's programming, right, That's like that feels like somebody you know,
- 48:10Speaker 4: because again this was sent out this is an alien.
- 48:14Speaker 4: I guess it's RNA bat that's are what they said
- 48:18Speaker 4: is rewritten, but it was sent out as a message
- 48:21Speaker 4: as a radio wave that we intercepted and then we
- 48:25Speaker 4: constructed the RNA on Earth.
- 48:28Speaker 1: You know, idiots, what's going on out there? Well fuck it?
- 48:36Speaker 2: No, Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to watching Employer this.
- 48:40Speaker 2: I I again the premise was fired to me and
- 48:45Speaker 2: have to see how it's breaking down now, and like
- 48:47Speaker 2: hearing how you are reacting to the first couple episodes, like,
- 48:50Speaker 2: I'm definitely on that. Speaking of the Apple TV, yes,
- 48:54Speaker 2: I am late behind everybody. I don't care, do not
- 48:57Speaker 2: talk to me about it. I started watching them more
- 49:00Speaker 2: show What season are you on? Started watching The Morning
- 49:04Speaker 2: Show as an episode seven of season one?
- 49:12Speaker 3: That's what it's still like fantastic.
- 49:15Speaker 1: So well it's fucking fantastic.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Steve carell Is, I did not realize how much I
- 49:23Speaker 2: would dislike like the man, like just like.
- 49:28Speaker 1: It. And again, I know I'm behind, guys, so leave
- 49:31Speaker 1: me alone.
- 49:32Speaker 2: But like this elevated for me and elevated him as
- 49:34Speaker 2: an actor too, Like, yes, this wasn't the first time
- 49:37Speaker 2: he's done something more.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Dramatic or anything like that. It's just to really see
- 49:41Speaker 1: that and.
- 49:41Speaker 2: See him play someone who's very extremely complicated and also
- 49:45Speaker 2: just like highly questionable too.
- 49:48Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, I personally like
- 49:50Speaker 1: see Corel.
- 49:50Speaker 2: So and and of course separating the character from the actor,
- 49:53Speaker 2: but it's just like it's just nice to see that
- 49:56Speaker 2: range and reach.
- 49:58Speaker 1: This will always be my girl. So whatever she whatever
- 50:01Speaker 1: she and I know she's gonna be doing good.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Jennifer Anderson, that's, you know, another one where it's just
- 50:07Speaker 2: like she's she's not playing the person that everybody likes
- 50:09Speaker 2: right like she she's playing kind of the whacked out
- 50:11Speaker 2: character a little bit. And just to see the ensemble
- 50:15Speaker 2: of people and of course all the black women in
- 50:17Speaker 2: the show, google about the raw last time, a lot
- 50:22Speaker 2: of people we were talking about.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Her maybe from Loki, you know, because Renflair.
- 50:28Speaker 2: So yeah, and then I know, like there's way more
- 50:33Speaker 2: to come and and and other amazing things happening and
- 50:36Speaker 2: the past expands.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Let me say this for you.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Please spoilers anyone, please, y'all, like, please don't hitman like
- 50:49Speaker 4: Karen is a man like, Yeah, there's so much to
- 50:53Speaker 4: come and.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Yeah, well I'm I'm freaking loving it.
- 50:59Speaker 4: So far behind and there's like so much major ship
- 51:02Speaker 4: so like, please, no spoilers.
- 51:04Speaker 2: I don't look up stuff about it. So yeah, so
- 51:07Speaker 2: everyone so far behind everyone looking at now that.
- 51:12Speaker 4: You brought it up, like you know, our fans, just
- 51:14Speaker 4: please y'all keep it quiet, keep me quiet because I'm
- 51:17Speaker 4: caught up.
- 51:18Speaker 1: So I know everything, you know.
- 51:19Speaker 4: But I'm like, it's it's like wild even hear about
- 51:23Speaker 4: season one right now, you know, because it's like this
- 51:25Speaker 4: show is in such a different place now that it's
- 51:29Speaker 4: like and but I think we're on season four, but
- 51:33Speaker 4: like season three was like where I was like, damn,
- 51:36Speaker 4: this show was turning ass.
- 51:38Speaker 1: No, honestly, like I had to.
- 51:40Speaker 4: Struggle through the last season whatever it was, whatever season was,
- 51:44Speaker 4: the last one, I had to struggle through. Parts of
- 51:46Speaker 4: this is you know, the Shark is not as it
- 51:50Speaker 4: was like that. You know, you saw that shark and
- 51:52Speaker 4: you saw them, you know, and they're like, we're going
- 51:54Speaker 4: over this bitch, and then and then I don't know,
- 52:00Speaker 4: it was like, I honestly was not even gonna watch four,
- 52:03Speaker 4: and then you know, my partner was and they started
- 52:06Speaker 4: watching it and quickly, yeah, you know, they're like now
- 52:08Speaker 4: it's dope. So I'm like, fuck it, let me go
- 52:10Speaker 4: in and man, they you know they I don't know
- 52:13Speaker 4: the shark got shot. You know, they jumped over that
- 52:15Speaker 4: boat and shot the shark something. You know, they landed safely.
- 52:19Speaker 4: Because it's back on track like four. It's like back
- 52:22Speaker 4: where I'm like, oh, I can't wait episode show you.
- 52:25Speaker 4: They're like, wooh we're back.
- 52:26Speaker 1: You know, so okay, cool cool.
- 52:28Speaker 2: And and also and this is on Hulu, but I've
- 52:30Speaker 2: been on reasonable doubt. That's my fucking Oh yeah, that's great.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. And they got picked up for
- 52:36Speaker 1: what are the season three?
- 52:37Speaker 2: Now? They got picked up for another season. They just
- 52:39Speaker 2: announced it and I'm like, ride that to the wheels,
- 52:42Speaker 2: fall the fuck off?
- 52:43Speaker 1: Please?
- 52:43Speaker 3: Power with Lawyers does I'll say it to get it again.
- 52:46Speaker 1: It's powerful fine and I don't care. I fucking love every.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Moment powers winning formula.
- 52:51Speaker 1: This is another one where I feel like this season
- 52:52Speaker 1: is better than the last season.
- 52:54Speaker 3: Have somebody of sex every fifteen minutes to play hip
- 52:56Speaker 3: hop music.
- 52:57Speaker 2: First of all, not any the best sound tracked in
- 53:00Speaker 2: the game this show, but every song I guess too
- 53:04Speaker 2: on the nose too.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I get it.
- 53:07Speaker 2: They O D O D on the on the nose selections,
- 53:12Speaker 2: but budget but the fact that they can get and
- 53:15Speaker 2: I feel like.
- 53:15Speaker 1: My fail Sadik is one of the music or or
- 53:18Speaker 1: or the music.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Their budget is dumb well budget, but also connections, right,
- 53:26Speaker 2: So that's my fail.
- 53:27Speaker 1: I think he's included in that. But anyway that the music,
- 53:30Speaker 1: I don't Again, whether it's too on the nose is
- 53:32Speaker 1: one thing, but they have to Beyonce. In one of
- 53:37Speaker 1: the episodes, I was like, what, how funny did you like?
- 53:41Speaker 1: For like ten seconds of it?
- 53:43Speaker 2: Like no, every like fire song is in that fucking show,
- 53:47Speaker 2: and I'm like, how did y'all do this?
- 53:49Speaker 1: But anyway that that is, I know that it's it
- 53:53Speaker 1: is like it's it's it's.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Your stories, you know, like you say, oh, I got
- 53:57Speaker 2: to watch my stories like it's one hundred percent story
- 54:00Speaker 2: worries in terms of foolishness drama as you say, Tyler Perry,
- 54:06Speaker 2: there's some Tyler Perry has stuff in there. There's some
- 54:08Speaker 2: power esque stuff in there, yes, and not like violence,
- 54:12Speaker 2: like not like we're talking about the boys.
- 54:14Speaker 1: We're talking about like like you know, psychological violence. Shove.
- 54:22Speaker 1: It's so good, and it's black. It's black, the cast black.
- 54:28Speaker 2: The I think most of the crew, writers and everyone
- 54:32Speaker 2: included black. They say nigga on the show, like, and
- 54:37Speaker 2: they use it effectively, not just saying it for fucking
- 54:39Speaker 2: shock value.
- 54:40Speaker 1: It's like that character really would just say that in
- 54:43Speaker 1: that moment because that works.
- 54:46Speaker 2: That's the word to be said or that's the thing
- 54:48Speaker 2: to be done in that moment, as this black character
- 54:51Speaker 2: in that situation.
- 54:52Speaker 1: So I fuck with it heavy. I like reasonable dell
- 54:55Speaker 1: a lot, and I've been on it.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Of a morning show up day. I didn't.
- 55:03Speaker 2: I literally, first of all, I just got Apple TV
- 55:06Speaker 2: and it's not even mine. I'm on somebody else's luggin.
- 55:08Speaker 2: But I yeah, I don't. I wasn't gonna pay for
- 55:11Speaker 2: a fiftieth streaming service.
- 55:13Speaker 1: So no, But I say, wait, you're not all upon severance. Yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 1: I'm up on sever Okay, I've been caught up the severance.
- 55:22Speaker 2: But that was a month ago. Like I literally just
- 55:24Speaker 2: started the morning show like a week ago.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Have you watched the Studio?
- 55:30Speaker 1: No? Oh, okay, you should like. I watched it.
- 55:33Speaker 4: I binged it because I got the screeners, and so
- 55:36Speaker 4: when I first watched it, I was like, Okay, this's great,
- 55:38Speaker 4: it's good. And then it came out and it started
- 55:41Speaker 4: getting all these Awards, and I'm like, was it that good?
- 55:44Speaker 4: So I went and we watched it in the air.
- 55:46Speaker 4: That fucking good in the story. You know, it's just
- 55:48Speaker 4: in the story, it's that fucking good. It's it's just
- 55:51Speaker 4: an incredibly done show. You know, shout out torself man
- 55:55Speaker 4: like he did that. You know, the way the long
- 55:57Speaker 4: shots alone, how many long shots are in that show
- 56:02Speaker 4: and then the humor, the comedy, just the inner workings
- 56:05Speaker 4: of Hollywood. And it's really true to a lot of
- 56:08Speaker 4: how it goes down, and it's just a great show. Like,
- 56:11Speaker 4: it's a really good show. I really love the studio.
- 56:14Speaker 4: I can't wait for season two of that.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we talked mostly about TV this episode, but you know,
- 56:20Speaker 2: before we leave, I definitely wanted to hit up just
- 56:22Speaker 2: some on the movie front for sure, Toy Story five,
- 56:25Speaker 2: trailer jobs, and I don't know if you still care
- 56:27Speaker 2: about Toy Story, but I do.
- 56:29Speaker 4: Oh, I four four was like four brought it back.
- 56:32Speaker 4: I didn't think four was necessary, but I thought four
- 56:34Speaker 4: was fired.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know what the premises of story five, right,
- 56:38Speaker 1: I've heard, but I don't know, remind me. It's basically
- 56:41Speaker 1: the attack of the tablet. So you know how kids.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Decade or so, got real quote unquote real toys, right,
- 56:51Speaker 2: you know, as you say, woody buzz, you know, dolls, blocks,
- 56:55Speaker 2: shit like that. Then now all of a sudden, like
- 56:58Speaker 2: you see kids in kuimon like kids having tablets, right,
- 57:02Speaker 2: and then what happens when the tablet takes over?
- 57:04Speaker 3: Right?
- 57:04Speaker 2: So the trailer is literally like the toys are like
- 57:09Speaker 2: they're like delivery comes and the toys woodying them all
- 57:13Speaker 2: know that it's a new toy, but they don't know
- 57:15Speaker 2: what it is. So they're all like gathered around it, shaking,
- 57:18Speaker 2: shivering out of fear, and like, you know.
- 57:19Speaker 1: They're at the height of they're at the height of
- 57:22Speaker 1: you know, just being frightened.
- 57:23Speaker 2: And then you know, the box opens up and the
- 57:25Speaker 2: box gets open, and then the lily pad is what
- 57:28Speaker 2: it's called, opens up and says, you know, hello, my
- 57:31Speaker 2: name is Lily right, and you know they kind of
- 57:33Speaker 2: close it. You know, they stop the trail at that point.
- 57:35Speaker 2: But it's basically I'm trying to like gather what we're
- 57:40Speaker 2: just where they're going with this, Like are the toys
- 57:42Speaker 2: gonna get thrown away again? Like, what's what's happening at
- 57:45Speaker 2: this point?
- 57:46Speaker 3: Are they like my only question is eventually feel cause they.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Did the throwaway scene already, so I'm like, what happens now?
- 57:56Speaker 4: I don't know, but it feels like eventually is gone
- 57:58Speaker 4: to have to come around where they love Lily had to,
- 58:01Speaker 4: like they have to.
- 58:02Speaker 1: You don't think they're gonna like destroy the damn No, no,
- 58:06Speaker 1: not even like that.
- 58:08Speaker 4: Yeah, really can't go out, you know, because as you said,
- 58:11Speaker 4: your kid has one already, so it's like that's not
- 58:14Speaker 4: gonna work.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it has to be. We have to learn
- 58:17Speaker 3: to live with this.
- 58:18Speaker 1: And somehow not let it take over it just to
- 58:22Speaker 1: be sitting there like a you're right, nigga, and Greta
- 58:26Speaker 1: Lee is actually voicing Lily.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Pad out of your toys.
- 58:30Speaker 4: I'm I don't think Rada says that, but that's that's
- 58:35Speaker 4: what Greta is to be thinking, Yeah, that's what Lily
- 58:37Speaker 4: Pad for real.
- 58:40Speaker 2: This movie actually, first I was like this sounds stupid,
- 58:43Speaker 2: but then I read more about it, I'm like, oh,
- 58:44Speaker 2: this is actually interesting, and I saw the trailer.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I said, fuck, yeah, I want to see it.
- 58:49Speaker 2: It's called The Carpenter's Son and it stars You're a
- 58:54Speaker 2: Boy Nicholas Cage.
- 58:57Speaker 1: About this, But I didn't know what the fuck was.
- 59:00Speaker 2: It stars your boy, Nicholas Cage as Jesus's dad, Joseph.
- 59:05Speaker 2: It stars FK Twigs as Mary Mary Magdalene and I'm
- 59:09Speaker 2: presuming and then Noah Juupe. I'm not sure if I
- 59:13Speaker 2: know what he's been in, but no A Juupe as
- 59:14Speaker 2: Jesus and basically it the story follows Jesus in his
- 59:18Speaker 2: teenage years, but it's in the tone of a horror
- 59:23Speaker 2: movie and it sounds like again, when I read it,
- 59:26Speaker 2: I'm like, this sounds so fucking stupid. But then when
- 59:29Speaker 2: you watch it trailer, you're like, wait a minute, they
- 59:31Speaker 2: might have something. They this man, this okay director and
- 59:35Speaker 2: the screenplay writer Lotfi Nathan. He's an Egyptian man from
- 59:39Speaker 2: He's British Egyptian. You might want to watch the trailer,
- 59:43Speaker 2: ben I might have at some point. You might want
- 59:46Speaker 2: to mytchrail because I was like they might got some.
- 59:48Speaker 2: And also off the strength of Nick Cage, because that
- 59:52Speaker 2: man is just every time I see his face, I'm
- 59:53Speaker 2: just like, I gotta watch what he's in.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Give it a try, it a try right now?
- 59:59Speaker 2: Sure, if you want to, you want to react to it,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: I don't know, but this ship is is kind of wild,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: and I know it's gonna piss off so many people
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: because you're talking about Jesus in the context of a
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: horror and like you see like all sorts of horror
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: elements happening, including you know, copious blood and shit like that.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: My only issue is that, uh, Nick Cage should be
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: a uh we'll do a bunch of terrible ship. But
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: let me watch this trailer. We'll see, Okay, a few
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: moments lay down. Hell no, I'm fucking watching that.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: I was just like, this ship ain't gonna work. And
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: then I saw this trailer and I said, oh nah,
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: this is this is all.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: They're out of control with this one. I've got to
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: see it.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: If somebody gives us a free pass, I'll definitely be
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: down for it.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah, this ship, no, it's it's too much. And then
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you added Nick Cage on top. That was enough for
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: me to be like that, I can't lie that, I mean,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: but my faith is that yeah that was and it's
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: gonna himself a lot of people. No, this is quite true.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: So even more so, it's like I kind of want
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: to see this.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: Also on the movie note, I watched both Frankenstein and
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: Jurassic World rebirth this weekend wildly different.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and again I forgot Drastic World had even like
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: this is this last month. But like when it was like, oh,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: it made eight hundred million globally, I said, damn, when
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: did it even come out?
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Like just watching it, I can definitely see why there's
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: little to no plot and a lot of people get eight.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: It's off the strength of Jurassic Park and.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: People getting eight. In this one, a lot of people
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: get eight, like eight.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: That's kind of why you watch Rustic Park right, Like,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: you know, because it's like, why do you keep doing
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: the same mistake over and over again of fucking with
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: the dinosaurs.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Over and over?
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: The dinosaurs coming fuck with them?
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: You know, they started it from the beginning.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Yeah, but no, but I'm saying, like they're not even
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: on the there there's no park, there's no eyelids, there's
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: none of that. These niggas like this one family is
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: just out in the ocean and they're supposedly but they.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Not loose from a last juristic park. Remember, Yeah, but
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: in this one, this is thirty years later.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: Look, there's a whole storyline this thirty years later and
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: the dinosaurs have died off through the environment, et cetera.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: So they only exist in this one area on the earth,
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: you know, and like right near the equator, and so
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: these we were supposed to be not in the area
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: and these dinosaurs is like, haha, nigga.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Well that's once again, it's our fault.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: You just Saiday, it's not supposed to be that. Everyone knows.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: No, no, aren't supposed to be in that area.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: They're supposed to be good, and the dinosaurs frump through like, nah,
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: niggas is all our area.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Well, I was gonna say, how are you gonna tell
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the animal what's not the area? First of all, I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: was as an animal. I was here first.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: I mean my land.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: This land is not your land, not made for you
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: and me, this is me.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Well, it doesn't matter. But a lot of people get eight.
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: It's I won't say it's good, you know, but if
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: you enjoy watching people get eight by the random dinosaurs,
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: I will say this. In this one, there's a lot
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: of mute and dinosaurs in this and they're like horrifically ugly.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: No.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't like.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: White people getting eight until unless there's been a character
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: development that makes me think they need to get eight.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Oh no, people back in the day Jurassic Park, where
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: it's like this is the character development, you're like, you
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: know what you deserve spitting your face.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: That doesn't happen anymore. Niggas just get eight off gp off.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: Gpp Like good people get eight several times.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Like bro, like that's not enough for me, that's not
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: enough for me to sign up.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Like okay, I really like that person. Oh well they
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: got eight either. That's how it fe was in this one.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: Like it's bad. I mean the you know, the bad
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: guys eventually get eight too, but it takes.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: Them a long time. I was really waiting for this
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: one day to get eight.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: And that's when it's just an indulging of how many
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: different dinosaurs, different ways can we show this happening.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and then, like I said, in this one, there
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: these mutant dinosaurs and they're all ugly as hell.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Man, I don't know, I had no desire. Clearly, I
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: didn't realize the heck came out month ago.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: So I see how this one made money. You know,
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: my hirsche loves up in it. You know, you know,
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: I like stargro so I was entertained by those two.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: But the rest of this was like, yeah, whatever, Frankenstein
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: by almost a Benicio.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: But Yale mel del Toro, the Bull himself, the legend himself.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: Oh man, I thought it was beautiful. Let me say
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: that off the top.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Right, it is, oh with Jacob LORDI, Yeah, yep, boy.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Isaac up in that joint, Isaac, Yep. It's absolutely beautiful.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: Like I'll say that and again and again. Just some
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: of the illest shots, you know, just well designed cinematography, costuming,
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: everything Ostro Isaac as fit the Frankenson is an absolute nutcase.
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: I enjoyed his performance. I enjoyed pretty much everybody performance.
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: Jacob as the frankson Monsters. You know, he gives it
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: as all and he is like he's not you know, he.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Disappears into control.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: I just found it to be a story about men
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: needing hugs, you know, like yet another you.
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: Know, it's just like, you know, in a long tradition
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: of breaking bad and a million other stories at this point,
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: a white man needing a hug and destroying everything around
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: them when.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: Not you know, given that hug or not accepting that hug.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: And yeah, it's just like, yeah, this one is more
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: like a bunch of men who don't have moms and
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: then eventually kill all the mother figures that come into
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: their life.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: And you know, while beautiful, while well done, it just
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: I just didn't care.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: And the way it's told, the tension in the film
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: is trying to rob for me, because it's told like, well,
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: you know Victor survives and you know the monster survives.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: So it's more just like, okay, how did they come
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: to this point and what's going to happen after that?
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: And it was cool, it's you know, it's interesting. I'm
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: not like I was not mad at it. Like I said,
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: it's you know, super beautiful. One of the best shop
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: most you know, beautiful movies I've seen this year. Just overall,
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: just a lot of great symbolism, a lot of all that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: But just you know, okay, and this is interesting because
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: this always happens in Hollywood. You remember Dante's peak in Volcano,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Twister and Tornado. Yeah, Well, next year there is a
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: film called The Bride coming out, which is about Frank
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: and Sign and the Bride, and it's more so centered
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: on the Bride at least from all the trailers I've
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: been seeing, starring Christian Bale. As Frank, Jesse Buckley as
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: the bride, Jake Gyllenhall's and there some other people's in this.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Baggie's directing.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Oh, his sisters Jakaman Okay, so that's why Penelope Cruise
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: I think might be in it.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: I don't know. The point is And again Frankenstein.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Right, and this seemed more like campy though, like like
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: it's like like dark like noir camp slash.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Joker ish joker ish. Yeah, it's justifven that feel.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: But like joker and harsh.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Wow, this is.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Directly not This is definitely gothic horror, you know, very
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: old school, you know, feels like the Francis Fort Coppola's
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: Dracula type vibe, you know, sixteen hundred, seventeen hundreds. I
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: would say it takes place in original timeline of Frankisteign
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: et cetera. Definitely not the story you've seen where you
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: know it ends up with them with the mob chasing
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: down Frakat Sin and bringing them up. This ain't that story,
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: but you know, you know, if you like that type
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: of thing, I would definitely recommend it. I just wasn't
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: somewhere where I was like, oh my god, movie of
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: the year, and I was like, okay, this is cool.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: You know it's dope.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's just it's just interesting.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: How again, And you know, I understand no idea is
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: necessarily unique, but like, even though it's different tones and
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: different approaches, it's still all like again these copies of
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: each other. Like it's like, oh, we're all gonna talk
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: about frankenstin this year, you know what I mean? And
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: I have mentioned I mentioned Twister, you know, Dante's Peak,
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: White House Down, and Olympus has Fallen, Like it's like
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: kind of it's like again, those are more like similar
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: in tone to each other, and I understand these are
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: these Frankazan movies are different, but still well.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: Sometimes that happens is what you know, a stript goes
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: around in Hollywood, A bunch of people, a bunch of
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: different studios read it, and the studios like it, but
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: then someone buys it, and then someone the other studios like,
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: oh remember that script, We got to get our own version,
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: or like they've been competing biopics sometimes where they know
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: that both are coming out, so like, okay, we got
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: to put ours out first.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: So that's I don't think with the Bride.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: I think that's just one of those rare things, I know,
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: the Toro.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: This is a passion project for him, and even so
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: it's not a situation like that trying to get this
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: to the screen forever or it just finally, you know,
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: got made now. But he's been trying to make his
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: Frank Aside movie and working on it forever. And like
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: you said, the tone of these two things seems so
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: radically different.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Different.
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's now deep impact and was Yeah, now that
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: it feels like and I can't remember I remember I've
- 1:09:37Speaker 4: looked up the story that before, but I think that
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: was the case of where, you know, the studio heard
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: that they're making so they were like, okay, we got
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: to get this cause they already like one of them
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: had the Deep in Past script and one of them
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: had the Armor againness script.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: You got to get these out.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: And happened that they both got scripts from you know,
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: about Asteroids and Nerve, and so they're like, fuck, oh
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: they're putting this out this year. Well we got to
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: get ours out there, you know. And that's how it happened.
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: I'm not sure which was the chicken or the egg.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: And now gotcha and and and before I forget because
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: you mentioned biopic, I got to see the Michael Jackson story.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Have you seen that trailer? I have?
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Now the hold on got it is a you know,
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: I have to this as a Michael Jackson stand That's
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I have to you.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: I know you are.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: You mentioned him as one of year when I grew up, Like,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I get it, I get it. This is too, particularly
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: because of because.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Of who's involved and being his own blood you know,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: his nephew rather but but his blood Jaafar Jackson playing him.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: I'm just like, And we talked about this, we actually
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: talked about this in our group chat about how like
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: the last Michael Jackson quote biopic I've seen was like.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: It was when Angela Bassett was mom, right, and that
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: was a long, long, long, long long time ago.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: So I'm just like, I haven't seen ship since really,
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: like you took seriously, I mean besides the one with
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: Flex Anderson, right, so that one.
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: No, yeah, okay, this is my issue. No, no, I
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: you know, vanish it from my memory. Banish it. Yeah,
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: it's just man, it's MJ man, and it's one of
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: those things it's like the man is complicated to say
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: the least, there is.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: A lot of.
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: Truth to all the sides of every story that's been
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: told about him, is what I'll say. And I know
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: I've heard different things about this film. I heard that
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: they had to reshoot the whole third act because they
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: couldn't use anything from the people who accused.
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: Him and the Finding Neverland documentary. So man, you know
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: that's what I mean.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: It's like, my memories of MJ are so pure and
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: he's such you know, it's Michael fucking Jackson to me
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: that it's like, you know, it's like we talk about
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: separating art and from the artists, and you know, I
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: have to do that with Michael, you know, because it's
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: but I feel wrong about doing that, you know, because
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: it's Michael. And I know dan well that this movie
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: is gonna, you know, say and do a lot of
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: things where I'm gonna be like bruh. When I got
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: the Jimmy Hendrix Purple Hayes gig, one of the stipulations
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: was that we don't include drugs and sex, and Melo
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: and I when we were first told this was like
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: like talking about, man, that's just hit the drug and sex.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: But then when I relooked at it and rethought about it.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: I was like, no, that's probably for the best because
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: a lot of people think that drugs and sex is
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: why he made the music he made and why it
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: was so great, and that's just.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Simply not the case.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: The man was a genius musician and he worked his
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: ass off to make the music that he made and
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: to play the guitar the way he did. And so
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: it's the same thing with Michael. It's like, memories might
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: just be better than Reannio.
