SPEAKER_00: Jude 1.
0:02
SPEAKER_00: Greetings from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, to those who've been chosen and are loved by God, the Father and God have been kept safe in Jesus Christ.
0:20
SPEAKER_00: Mercy, peace, and love be yours more and more.
0:27
SPEAKER_00: God will punish those who do wrong.
0:31
SPEAKER_00: Dear friends, I wanted very much to write to you about the salvation we all share together, but I felt the need to write to you about something else.
0:44
SPEAKER_00: I want to encourage you to fight hard for the faith that God gave his holy people.
0:53
SPEAKER_00: God gave this faith once, and it is good for all time.
0:59
SPEAKER_00: Some people have secretly entered your group.
1:04
SPEAKER_00: These people have already been judged guilty for what they are doing.
1:09
SPEAKER_00: Long ago the prophets wrote about them.
1:13
SPEAKER_00: They are against God.
1:15
SPEAKER_00: They have used the grace of our God in the wrong way to do sinful things.
1:21
SPEAKER_00: They refuse to follow Jesus Christ, our only master and Lord.
1:28
SPEAKER_00: I want to help you remember some things you already know.
1:32
SPEAKER_00: Remember that the Lord saved his people by bringing them out of the land of Egypt, but later he destroyed all those who did not believe.
1:44
SPEAKER_00: And remember the angels who lost their authority to rule, they left their proper home.
1:52
SPEAKER_00: So the Lord has kept them in darkness, bound with everlasting chains, to be judged on the great day.
2:02
SPEAKER_00: Also, remember the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other towns around them.
2:09
SPEAKER_00: Like those angels, they were full of sexual sin and involved themselves in sexual relations that are wrong.
2:20
SPEAKER_00: And they suffer the punishment of eternal fire, an example for us to see.
2:28
SPEAKER_00: It is the same way with these people who have entered your group.
2:34
SPEAKER_00: They are guided by dreams, they make themselves dirty with sin.
2:40
SPEAKER_00: They reject God's authority and say bad things against the glorious ones.
2:47
SPEAKER_00: Not even the archangel Michael did this.
2:53
SPEAKER_00: Michael argued with the devil about who would have the body of Moses, but Michael did not dare to condemn even the devil for his false accusations.
3:07
SPEAKER_00: Instead, Michael said, The Lord punish you.
3:12
SPEAKER_00: Criticize things they don't understand.
3:15
SPEAKER_00: They do understand some things, but they understand these things not by thinking, but by feeling, the way dumb animals understand things, and these are the things that destroy them.
3:30
SPEAKER_00: It will be bad for them.
3:33
SPEAKER_00: They have followed the way that Cain went.
3:37
SPEAKER_00: To make money, they've given themselves to the following the wrong way that Balaam went.
3:44
SPEAKER_00: They have fought against God like Korah did, and like Korah they will be destroyed.
3:52
SPEAKER_00: These people are like dirty spots among you.
3:56
SPEAKER_00: They bring shame to you in the special meals you share together.
4:00
SPEAKER_00: They eat with you and have no fear.
4:04
SPEAKER_00: They take care of only themselves.
4:07
SPEAKER_00: They are like clouds without rain.
4:11
SPEAKER_00: The wind blows around them.
4:14
SPEAKER_00: They are like trees that have no fruit at harvest time and are pulled out of the ground.
4:21
SPEAKER_00: So they are twice dead, like the dirty foam on the wild waves in the sea.
4:28
SPEAKER_00: Everyone can see the shameful things they do.
4:32
SPEAKER_00: They are like stars that wander in the sky.
4:35
SPEAKER_00: A place in the blackest darkness has been kept for them forever.
4:42
SPEAKER_00: Enoch, the seventh descendant from Adam, said this about these people.
4:49
SPEAKER_00: Look, the Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of his holy angels to judge everyone.
4:57
SPEAKER_00: He will punish all those who are against him for the evil they have done in their lack of respect for him.
5:06
SPEAKER_00: Yes, the Lord will punish all these sinners who don't honor him.
5:11
SPEAKER_00: He will punish them for all the evil things that they have said against him.
5:17
SPEAKER_00: These people always complain and find wrong in others.
5:23
SPEAKER_00: They always do the evil things they want to do.
5:27
SPEAKER_00: They boast about themselves.
5:30
SPEAKER_00: The reason they say good things about others is to get what they want.
5:37
SPEAKER_00: A warning and things to do.
5:40
SPEAKER_00: Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said would happen.
5:47
SPEAKER_00: They told you in the last times there will be people who laugh at God and do only what they want to do, things that are against God.
5:58
SPEAKER_00: These are the people who divide you.
6:00
SPEAKER_00: They are not spiritual because they don't have the spirit.
6:06
SPEAKER_00: But you dear friends, use your most holy faith to build yourselves up even stronger.
6:14
SPEAKER_00: Pray with the help of the Holy Spirit.
6:17
SPEAKER_00: Keep yourselves safe in God's love as you wait for the Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.
6:28
SPEAKER_00: Help those who have doubts.
6:32
SPEAKER_00: Rescue those who are living in the danger of hell's fire.
6:38
SPEAKER_00: There are others you should treat with mercy, but be very careful that their filthy lives don't rub off on you.
6:46
SPEAKER_00: Praise God.
6:48
SPEAKER_00: God is strong and can keep you from falling.
6:53
SPEAKER_00: He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and give you great joy.
7:01
SPEAKER_00: He is the only God, the one who saves us.
7:04
SPEAKER_00: To him be the glory, greatness, power, and authority through Jesus Christ, our Lord for all time past, now and forever.
7:16
SPEAKER_00: Amen.
