- 0:00Speaker 1: Kylan Fogg, what do we need to know today?
- 0:02Speaker 2: The president just signed an executive order that could help
- 0:05Speaker 2: homeowners save a lot of money. So basically, if you
- 0:07Speaker 2: are paying that extra mortgage insurance every month, there's a
- 0:11Speaker 2: new plan that could automatically get rid of that payment
- 0:14Speaker 2: once you've paid off enough of your house. It could
- 0:16Speaker 2: also make refinancing your mortgage cheaper by cutting out some
- 0:20Speaker 2: of those extra fees, which would be a pretty big
- 0:22Speaker 2: deal considering how expensive it is to own a home
- 0:25Speaker 2: right now. Now, if you are flying somewhere for Halloween
- 0:28Speaker 2: and planning on wearing a costume, TSA says we have
- 0:32Speaker 2: a really spooky warning for you about Halloween costumes. If
- 0:36Speaker 2: you have a mask or you're wearing heavy face paint,
- 0:39Speaker 2: you're going to have to take it off to show
- 0:41Speaker 2: your ID to get into the terminal. Like you can't,
- 0:46Speaker 2: you know, disguise yourself and expect to get in with
- 0:48Speaker 2: your ID. They also say, listen, fake weapons, swords, toy guns,
- 0:54Speaker 2: fake grenades are never okay. you're going to have to
- 0:56Speaker 2: go in your checked luggage.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Who gets on a plane in a costume? I don't know.
- 1:01Speaker 1: The party starts once you land. Well, maybe like kids
- 1:04Speaker 1: who want to go dressed up.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Kids?
- 1:06Speaker 1: It's not something that I'm talking about. I mean, for
- 1:09Speaker 1: some reason, I feel like those are targeted towards adults.
- 1:11Speaker 3: It is, but you've got to remember, people are dumb
- 1:14Speaker 3: when they fly now. People are idiots, so they've got
- 1:15Speaker 3: to let it. Got to put it all out there.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure they're doing it because it's happened before.
- 1:19Speaker 3: You've got to be like, hey, you need to take
- 1:20Speaker 3: off your vampire makeup.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I mean, they're doing it enough to where they feel
- 1:24Speaker 2: the need to put it out there. Like, hey, just
- 1:26Speaker 2: a reminder, don't put your costume on and try to
- 1:29Speaker 2: get through security.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Can you imagine getting on your Southwest plane and there's
- 1:31Speaker 1: somebody in like an 11D wearing a freaking mask and
- 1:35Speaker 1: they're sitting there in their seat? You'd be like, I'm
- 1:36Speaker 1: not sitting there. It's really creepy.
- 1:40Speaker 2: The World Series kicks off tonight. No matter who wins,
- 1:43Speaker 2: we are guaranteed to see something pretty special, something we've
- 1:46Speaker 2: never seen before. The Milwaukee Brewers are taking on the
- 1:48Speaker 2: Tampa Bay Rays, and neither team has ever won a
- 1:51Speaker 2: World Series championship. So it is about to be history made.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Game one starts at 5 o'clock our time. If you
- 1:58Speaker 2: are driving around the Valley this weekend, you want to
- 2:01Speaker 2: check your route before leaving. ADOT says they've got several
- 2:05Speaker 2: major freeway closures, paving, widening, and bridge work. That's the culprit,
- 2:10Speaker 2: which means detours and delays if you don't plan wisely.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Why is everything under construction at the same time? Why
- 2:16Speaker 3: don't you guys finish a road and then go on
- 2:18Speaker 3: to the other one?
- 2:19Speaker 1: I wonder that all the time.
- 2:20Speaker 3: There's no way for me to escape my neighborhood now.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I've got to jump curbs just to get out.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Just finish the 202 before we work on the 101,
- 2:26Speaker 2: and then we'll get to the 10.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Like, I mean, come on.
- 2:28Speaker 3: All right.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Now, everybody keeps talking about, like, AI replacing people's jobs.
- 2:33Speaker 2: But here in Arizona, it is actually creating demand for
- 2:37Speaker 2: people who work with their hands. There are massive AI
- 2:41Speaker 2: data centers that keep popping up all across the state,
- 2:43Speaker 2: and they are in need of construction companies with skilled electricians, technicians,
- 2:48Speaker 2: and other workers to build the actual facilities. So while
- 2:52Speaker 2: the people are worried about the robots taking over, we
- 2:54Speaker 2: still need humans. We need humans to build the things
- 2:56Speaker 2: to help the robots take over. And that's what you
- 3:01Speaker 2: need to know.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Halloween is just a week away, so you're kind of
- 3:04Speaker 1: running out of time if you need a costume. So
- 3:06Speaker 1: if you're hitting up Spirit Halloween Store this weekend, Here
- 3:09Speaker 1: are four things to keep in mind according to someone
- 3:12Speaker 1: who works there. Okay, so Spirit. Think about the Spirit
- 3:14Speaker 1: Halloween stores. They say browse the entire store. You can
- 3:18Speaker 1: find hidden gems everywhere. The checkout line in particular has
- 3:22Speaker 1: lots of fun accessories and novelty items. Good tip. Don't
- 3:26Speaker 1: go straight to the cheap stuff. If you only plan
- 3:29Speaker 1: to wear a costume once, it's fine to cheap it out.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But investing a little more in the higher quality items
- 3:33Speaker 1: can make it something you'll re-wear in the future. Now,
- 3:37Speaker 1: if you're buying makeup and prosthetic kits... This is important. Okay,
- 3:40Speaker 1: if you're buying makeup and prosthetic kits, make sure you
- 3:42Speaker 1: buy the removal products too.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Most Halloween store makeup isn't top quality and it can
- 3:47Speaker 1: be hard to remove at the end of the night
- 3:48Speaker 1: with just soap and water.
- 3:49Speaker 3: That'll stain your face.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Plus, if you're like getting a mustache, don't rely on
- 3:53Speaker 2: the adhesive that's already on the mustache. Like buy the
- 3:56Speaker 2: extra adhesive. Don't forget.
- 3:59Speaker 1: That these Spirit Halloween stores stay open after Halloween, and
- 4:03Speaker 1: there are usually clearance sales November 1st and 2nd, so
- 4:06Speaker 1: you can get a head start for next year. And
- 4:08Speaker 1: then you won't know where you hid the costume.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I also saw this new trend that people are costume swapping.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Just because everything's so expensive. So it's like, Peyton, I'd
- 4:17Speaker 2: be like, what costumes do you have from the past
- 4:19Speaker 2: few years? And you would name them off. I'm like,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I've got tons of them.
- 4:22Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 4:23Speaker 2: So it's like you and your friends get together and
- 4:25Speaker 2: you bring all your costumes.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And you swap. Actually, that's a good idea because actually
- 4:29Speaker 3: my best friend, she left her angel wings in my
- 4:31Speaker 3: car last year from last Halloween. Oh, she died?
- 4:33Speaker 1: So maybe, no.
- 4:34Speaker 3: She was a Victoria's Secret angel. So maybe I'll just
- 4:37Speaker 3: be an angel and we can friend swap.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Genius. Genius.
- 4:41Speaker 1: So next week we will unveil our show's costume, right?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Every year we do a different thing. Correct. So I
- 4:47Speaker 1: got mine yesterday in the mail. And my wife was
- 4:50Speaker 1: eating dinner with my son. I went in the bathroom
- 4:52Speaker 1: and I put it on. And then I walked out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I just kind of stood there in the dark waiting
- 4:56Speaker 1: for them to acknowledge me. And they did and they laughed.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And then they go, my wife says, oh, it doesn't fit.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And I walked away and took it all off. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: I was like. Does she mean it doesn't fit like
- 5:07Speaker 1: it's too tight or does she mean it doesn't feel
- 5:09Speaker 1: like it's too big?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Did you think it fit? Like you felt like it
- 5:13Speaker 2: fit fine and then she made that comment, you questioned it?
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah. And all I can think about is every year
- 5:18Speaker 1: we do a video of all of us in our
- 5:20Speaker 1: costume running down the street. And I'm like, how's that
- 5:23Speaker 1: going to look running down the street? And I'm like,
- 5:25Speaker 1: so now I just had this little like, all I
- 5:26Speaker 1: had to do really was just ask her. But I
- 5:28Speaker 1: didn't feel like talking. So I didn't. No, it's just
- 5:31Speaker 1: in your head.
- 5:31Speaker 3: No, you don't know.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It's haunting you. It's like 7.30 at night. I don't
- 5:34Speaker 1: want to have a conversation. I put on my costume
- 5:35Speaker 1: and I'm going to sleep. It was like, what were
- 5:38Speaker 1: those pajamas you wear at night? Underoos.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Underoos, yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Underoos that were costumes.
- 5:42Speaker 3: That was a big underooer.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Oh, I'm like, what's these? No, no. There used to
- 5:45Speaker 1: be a brand of underwear and it was a costume. Oh.
- 5:48Speaker 1: They were really cool.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Oh.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Like, you'd be Spider-Man. It was your pajamas.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Oh.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But it was like underwear though, right? Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Anyway. It's like spandex.
