- 0:00Speaker 1: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day,
- 0:02Speaker 1: our last break of the week, on this Friday. It's
- 0:05Speaker 1: been a great friday.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yes, you know what, it's always interesting our opening remarks
- 0:10Speaker 2: because the junior has questions. So I think off the dome,
- 0:14Speaker 2: I would like to give Junior an opportunity to ask
- 0:17Speaker 2: me a question, and I'll use that as my closing remarks.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Junior usually has some really you know, interesting questions. And
- 0:26Speaker 2: so you know, Junior got any questions because I learned
- 0:31Speaker 2: so much. He never lets me down, he never lets.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Me I learned so much. I really do, I really do.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I understand being around you. It doesn't inspire me to
- 0:40Speaker 3: ask you these questions. But how do we be grateful
- 0:43Speaker 3: when it's hard? How do you fix your mouth to
- 0:46Speaker 3: say I appreciate everything God when it's difficult, when it's ugly.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Uh. That is challenging. That is challenging. Because what happens
- 0:58Speaker 2: is and these are my closes the remarks, by the way,
- 1:02Speaker 2: and since you asked me that what happens is when
- 1:06Speaker 2: we're facing hard times, our focus oftentimes becomes the difficulty,
- 1:15Speaker 2: and we focus so hard on the difficulty that we
- 1:18Speaker 2: lose sight of everything else. Because we think if we
- 1:23Speaker 2: apply ourselves wholly to this problem that it somehow will
- 1:30Speaker 2: change it. How many times have you discovered that it don't.
- 1:36Speaker 2: How many times have you discovered that worrying about something
- 1:40Speaker 2: did nothing. It didn't change it, It didn't move the needle,
- 1:46Speaker 2: it didn't accomplish anything. And when when it finally came
- 1:51Speaker 2: to fruition, this thing that you were worried about is
- 1:54Speaker 2: oftentimes way different than what you had imagined or thought,
- 1:58Speaker 2: and you are now I'm dealing with the whole another
- 2:01Speaker 2: set of things because you were worried about the one
- 2:04Speaker 2: aspect of it when it was really turned out to
- 2:06Speaker 2: be something else. So it is very, very difficult for
- 2:11Speaker 2: people to be grateful during the hard times because your
- 2:15Speaker 2: focus is on the hard times. What I do. What
- 2:20Speaker 2: I do is when I get into those moments where
- 2:26Speaker 2: I'm focusing on the hard times, I have trained myself
- 2:31Speaker 2: to go okay, because I'm human and I have my
- 2:33Speaker 2: moments where I'm going, man, this is a lot. Man,
- 2:36Speaker 2: What I'm gonna do? I think I ought to call
- 2:38Speaker 2: all to try this. I'm gonna fix this. I have
- 2:41Speaker 2: to catch myself and then I take inventory of my
- 2:45Speaker 2: track record. I have a very interesting thing that I
- 2:49Speaker 2: know how to do. I look back on all of
- 2:53Speaker 2: the difficult times God has bought me through. I think
- 2:57Speaker 2: of all the things I've overcome, and everybody has the
- 3:00Speaker 2: ability to do that. Look, you can stop right now
- 3:03Speaker 2: and think of something God has brought you through. And
- 3:07Speaker 2: I mean you can think of something that was challenging.
- 3:10Speaker 2: It may be grief, the loss of a loved one.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It could be a loss of a job. It could
- 3:15Speaker 2: be a loss of a home. It could be an
- 3:17Speaker 2: eviction notice, it could be a repole notice. It could
- 3:20Speaker 2: be a pink slip down at your job. But then
- 3:23Speaker 2: hold up, man, let's think about that. I've had a
- 3:27Speaker 2: car repoll before. You know what kind of cars I got.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Now I've came home and seen eviction notice on the
- 3:36Speaker 2: apartment door. I've seen my stuff put out on the
- 3:41Speaker 2: street before. You can't even get past my gate. Now
- 3:47Speaker 2: you ain't coming to put nothing out on the street.
- 3:51Speaker 2: When I look back on all God has brought me through,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and I'm just using myself as as an example, I'm
- 3:56Speaker 2: not bragging. I'm just using myself as an example because
- 4:00Speaker 2: you have the exact same examples. So like whenever I
- 4:05Speaker 2: get into those moments, I think of all the difficult
- 4:08Speaker 2: times he brought me through. I was thinking the other
- 4:11Speaker 2: day about when I was fishing, when I was homeless,
- 4:14Speaker 2: and this man saw me fishing. He said, hey, you
- 4:16Speaker 2: don't belong over here. This is a private property. I said, okay, sir,
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'm on my way. And I picked up the fishing
- 4:22Speaker 2: line to leave, and I had caught like two or
- 4:24Speaker 2: three fish on it. He said, hey, you put those
- 4:27Speaker 2: fish back. Those don't belong to you. Take them off
- 4:30Speaker 2: your line. So I had to unhook these fish and
- 4:32Speaker 2: throw them back in the pond. And he didn't know, man,
- 4:36Speaker 2: that I was homeless, that I was trying to feed
- 4:38Speaker 2: myself that night, that I had a skillet, some corn
- 4:41Speaker 2: meal and some grease in my trunk with some charcoal.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And when I went to rest areas, I would find
- 4:46Speaker 2: those grills that was built into the ground, those little
- 4:50Speaker 2: cast iron grills, and I'd make a fire and everything
- 4:52Speaker 2: and fry my fish. He didn't know that's what I
- 4:55Speaker 2: was doing. And one time, man, a man ran me
- 4:58Speaker 2: off man and I had tears in my eye because Man,
- 5:00Speaker 2: I was hungry and I didn't have enough money. And
- 5:03Speaker 2: I said, man, this dude right here. Ought to just
- 5:06Speaker 2: take these fishing run but I didn't. And you know
- 5:10Speaker 2: what I was thinking about that junior, when I was
- 5:13Speaker 2: standing on my ranch fishing, and as I was pondering
- 5:16Speaker 2: that moment, man I went wild. Look at me. Now,
- 5:21Speaker 2: I got a ranch where you can't run me off
- 5:23Speaker 2: of no more, and I can fish any time I
- 5:27Speaker 2: want to. And man O, man o, man If you
- 5:31Speaker 2: can develop that ability to when you are in your
- 5:36Speaker 2: darkest moments, reflect on your other dark moments that He's
- 5:42Speaker 2: bought you through, that will help you become grateful. Because
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm telling you, man If I thank God all day long,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I still fall short of everything He's done for me.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I don't care how much time I spend thinking him,
- 5:59Speaker 2: I ain't done enough because what He's done for me
- 6:01Speaker 2: over and over and over again, the track record of
- 6:05Speaker 2: success with God Almighty is one hundred percent. So I
- 6:09Speaker 2: have no fear, no doubt that whatever I'm going through,
- 6:12Speaker 2: whether I no matter what I'm facing, when I look
- 6:16Speaker 2: back on all all the trials and tribulations, he was
- 6:19Speaker 2: there and he got me through him and he gonna
- 6:21Speaker 2: get you through that one too. That's how you remain
- 6:24Speaker 2: grateful in the hard times. If you develop that skill set, y'all,
- 6:27Speaker 2: it will serve you well throughout your life.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And the more grateful you are.
- 6:31Speaker 2: The more God you for the proposal Court, those are
- 6:34Speaker 2: my clothes relaps. Have yourself a great day to day.
