- 0:43and their two daughters. The extended family
- 0:48did own her because of her partner choice. They
- 0:54kept telling families that she was living in
- 0:56sin and disobeying this church. Let's just fill
- 1:03this way because they attend nudist camps and
- 1:07play with the other swingers in Vegas when they
- 1:09go there twice a year. They don't think anyone
- 1:12knows about their alternative and dangerous lifestyle.
- 1:16One day, their aunt Lou left her cell phone at
- 1:19Thea's parents' house. A text message came in
- 1:22from the Johnston's asking when they were coming
- 1:25back to Vegas to swing. Keep in mind, this particular
- 1:29aunt and uncle weighed 700 pounds, that is, 713
- 1:38pounds, and they belonged to the Swing Beat Club
- 1:44in Port St. Lucie, Florida. When Theo's sister
- 1:50called the house after the phone, when she heard
- 2:00Tina's voice, she laid her phone down on the
- 2:03counter and said, Lesbos on the phone. Theo's
- 2:07mom picked the phone up and told Tina to ignore
- 2:10her aunt. Tina told her mom it did not bother
- 2:15her anymore, but mother could hear the hurt in
- 2:18Tina's voice. She told Tina that Theo had not
- 2:21come home from where he was when he went several
- 2:28hours ago. Tina started to become worried because
- 2:33that was not Theo's character at all. suggested
- 2:37that her mom call the police if Theo is not back
- 2:41by midnight. As soon as mom hung up with Tina,
- 2:47she hollered for Aunt Lou and Uncle Jimmy to
- 2:50come in the room. Louie! Jim! They both came
- 3:03into the kitchen and mom told them that if they
- 3:06cannot respect her daughter, they are not welcome
- 3:08at her house anymore. As for you sis, ever answer
- 3:15my phone again as long as you are black, fat,
- 3:18and ugly. and her sister knew that she wasn't
- 3:25going to ever answer her phone again because
- 3:28she was going to say the way she did just describe
- 3:30her. As soon as Aunt Lucy started to argue, Mom
- 3:34popped her right in the nose. She was through
- 3:43talk. Her sister was very shocked because her
- 3:47short, nice, and always respectable sister never
- 3:50said a mean word to her. She could not believe
- 3:54she popped her in the nose and made it bleed.
- 3:58Her husband Jimmy instantly said, You run your
- 4:02mouth too much, Lou." After she cleaned up her
- 4:06nose, they all sat at the table, ate dinner,
- 4:08and never mentioned a word of what just happened.
- 4:12Theo's girlfriend was also worried. She was too
- 4:18worried to finish more than two bites of her
- 4:20food. Theo was always up under his girl like
- 4:23he was scared that some other guy was going to
- 4:26take her away. He was very insecure when it came
- 4:31to having intimate relationships with females.
- 4:37One reason was because he always had You know
- 4:45what that is. An ex -girlfriend on the side.
- 4:49And he never was a faithful man. Theo's girl
- 4:54kept calling his cell phone, but it went straight
- 4:57to a voicemail. The family ate dinner in silence,
- 5:10partly because there was a lot of tension in
- 5:12the air concerning the recent events. After dinner,
- 5:16Theo's mom decided to call the police. As soon
- 5:22as she dialed 9, there was a hard knock at the
- 5:27door. She jumped off the down because she thought
- 5:37Theo was home. Her big breath were flopping up
- 5:43and down and side to side. She always took her
- 5:46bra off as soon as she came in the house from
- 5:48work. Her bra was almost the size of a bra that
- 5:52goes in front of the car. She ran to the door.
- 5:56As she began to open the door, she was saying,
- 5:58welcome home, baby. It took her a minute to realize
- 6:01that there were two white cops in black uniforms
- 6:05at the door. She did not know that they were
- 6:11the same policemen that were at work. I had seen
- 6:14earlier what Theo was causing panic. They did
- 6:19not have a warrant, but they insisted on looking
- 6:22through the house for Theo. No one at the house
- 6:26knew what had happened in the few hours before,
- 6:30so they were asking the cops, what's going on?
- 6:35The cops just rushed past his parents and went
- 6:37to the house looking for Theo. One of the cops
- 6:40said, it's a big headed black boy. Theo's big
- 6:49mouth aunt said, If you don't get your wiper
- 6:53hands out of this house, we're going to slap
- 6:56a lawsuit on you so fast that you all will be
- 6:59fired. One cop told the family that Theo was
- 7:05disturbing the police and intimidating neighbors.
- 7:10They told the family that he was standing on
- 7:12a couple's porch, keeping them hostage, and they
- 7:15were scared to come out of their house. Mom was
- 7:19stunned because that did not sound like her Theo.
- 7:24My boy is good, and he's understood it. and very
- 7:27respectful to everyone. Little did she know that
- 7:32he was always rude to Angie every chance he got.
- 7:39They knew that some cops in the precinct did
- 7:41not like blacks, but they were not sure who they
- 7:43were. So they thought the cops were framing Theo.
- 7:49The cops warned the family that they would be
- 7:51back for Theo and they better not be hiding him.
- 7:54The cops left and the family did not know what
- 7:57to do or think. Theo's mom went into his bedroom.
- 8:03and found a couple of numbers in his top drawer.
- 8:09She found a few scrap pieces of paper with numbers
- 8:12on them. She called what appeared to be a number
- 8:16for Stephen. When she called the number, the
- 8:19first thing she heard was, Theo, where have you
- 8:24been? This voice came from a female. His mom
- 8:28was silent for a long time. Hello, hello, Theo?
- 8:33The voice said. Theo's mom slammed the phone
- 8:36on the receiver and unraveled another piece.
- 8:40of paper that was in his drawer. The paper had
- 8:45a partial email address that had the name kittycat
- 8:48at escorts for life. Before taking men, Hart
- 8:56was about to drop to her stomach and down into
- 8:58her pantyhose from the continued shock that she
- 9:02was feeling. She was ashamed to contact the service,
- 9:07so she tried the last piece of paper that was
- 9:10in his top drawer. This paper was a pink sticky
- 9:15note that had Jan White's number written down
- 9:19on it in the orange marker. The old mom called
- 9:23this number and the answering machine service
- 9:25came on. Hi, you're Raheem. You have reached
- 9:31the answering service for me. Please leave a
- 9:35message and I will call you back. The old mom
- 9:39asked that Jan call her back at 987 -654 -3210.
- 9:47The night passed without a call from Jan. Over
- 9:50the next several days, Theo did not come home
- 9:53and the family did not hear from the cops. The
- 10:05next chapter is called Funeral Havoc. The neighborhood
- 10:12was just somber over Angie's death and over fear
- 10:16of the black boy still missing and that he could
- 10:19show up on anyone's porch at any time acting
- 10:22like the very lunatic that he is. People were
- 10:26clearing out the hardware stores at every chance
- 10:28they got. Parents were keeping their young children
- 10:31home from school and people were not going out
- 10:35alone. They were going out in groups. Cops even
- 10:39started going out in pairs whenever they could.
- 10:43Angie's funeral was Sunday, 31 December 2009.
- 10:48There were quite a few people in attendance saying
- 10:51their goodbyes and consoling the family. Angie's
- 10:56mom chose to have a close casket because of how
- 11:00Angie's face was blown off by the shotgun blast.
- 11:05Quite a few people had not heard the story about
- 11:08how Angie died, and they were wondering why they
- 11:10could not see Angie's face. After the church
- 11:15was filled almost to capacity, all that was heard
- 11:19by the family were whispers. A few people just
- 11:22were not designed to whisper, and they were louder
- 11:25than other people that were talking with a regular
- 11:28tone. What a stupid family. You can't even see
- 11:35her. That's what Angie's dad heard. Angie's dad
- 11:40was a hothead. You stood up and said, listen
- 11:43up! Angie's mother chucking face was blown off
- 11:47by a shotgun. And that's why the casket is closed.
- 11:54Everyone looked around at each other in shock.
- 11:56They could not believe that her dad shouted that
- 12:00way throughout the church. And that Angie's cute
- 12:06face was blown off. Some of the people who knew
- 12:10Angie's dad from the past actually got up and
- 12:12left the church. He is still the same man from
- 12:16years past. and they did not want to see what
- 12:19was coming next. Still, you hypocrites! Angie's
- 12:24dad shouted as they were leaving. You are still
- 12:30the crazy big head! Alleghy shouted at him. Angie's
- 12:34dad turned around to say something to her, and
- 12:36his son grabbed his arm and told him to be quiet.
- 12:39The minister was standing on the stage almost
- 12:42at a loss for words. He heard shouting, whispering,
- 12:48crying, laughing. After a few minutes, he began...
- 12:51the funeral for Angie. He cut his peach in half
- 12:55because a lot of time was wasted from the beginning
- 12:58and he wanted it to end as soon as possible.
- 13:04A few family members were scheduled to say some
- 13:06words after the minister gave his eulogy. But
- 13:12one family member that was not scheduled to speak
- 13:15went up front and started to speak while Angie's
- 13:18mother was still saying her goodbyes to Angie.
- 13:22He started to tell the family that he was sorry
- 13:24that Angie had to die, and if we could give his
- 13:27life for her, he would. Everyone in the church
- 13:32was quiet, trying to figure out what he was really
- 13:35trying to say. Angie's dad went up front and
- 13:39said to his nephew, Colin, please sit down. We
- 13:44all heard that Angie's gone. And let your aunt
- 13:47finish what she was saying. But Colin was becoming
- 13:52hysterical, and he kept repeating, No dear God,
- 13:56please forgive me. There was complete silence
- 14:00while everyone was waiting in anticipation on
- 14:03what Colin was going to say next. There was whispers
- 14:07in the crowd saying, what did he have to do with
- 14:10her death? He killed his own cousin? What did
- 14:14you do to my baby? Be quiet, sit back down. What
- 14:19the heck is going on? Finally, Angie Thap grabbed
- 14:23Colin by his shirt and guided him back to his
- 14:25seat. We must remember that family is hurting
- 14:28and people start to second -guess their actions,
- 14:33thinking that they could have prevented a death.
- 14:38That is what Angie's dad said to the crowd. Although
- 14:42the family and guests still had questions about
- 14:44what just took place, the funeral procession
- 14:48carried on. Now, we are at the feast. The next
- 14:57day, we missed a few next days of school. but
- 15:06he won that the third day still feeling weird.
- 15:26And that ladies and gentlemen will end this segment
- 15:30of suburban werewolf.
