- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the state Capitol.
- 0:02Speaker 2: This is South Carolina's Morning News with Kelly Nash.
- 0:07Speaker 3: So it all changed yesterday.
- 0:09Speaker 4: My gosh, what a different landscape we wake up to
- 0:13Speaker 4: this morning. Christopher Thompson is now Danny Ford is eligible.
- 0:20Speaker 4: The polster scrambling at this very moment, trying to figure
- 0:23Speaker 4: out how this has changed the race.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Drop a new poll immediately.
- 0:27Speaker 4: This is I mean, I am fascinated to find out.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Someday somebody will explain to me why he's fought so hard.
- 0:36Speaker 4: And again, I'm not undermine. I'm not saying that that
- 0:39Speaker 4: was an easy thing for him to do, to take
- 0:41Speaker 4: on the GOP to say that your rule, well, what
- 0:44Speaker 4: did the judge cobil say? It was like it didn't
- 0:47Speaker 4: make sense or it was confusing or something like that.
- 0:50Speaker 5: There were a lot of different things he said. But
- 0:52Speaker 5: bottom line is Ford is on some ballots, not the
- 0:56Speaker 5: ballots that have already been mailed out, and maybe not
- 1:00Speaker 5: your ballot, depending on where you are and how quickly
- 1:02Speaker 5: your county works.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Mm hmmm. Now do do we believe as well?
- 1:10Speaker 4: Let me, do you agree with me that what's going
- 1:13Speaker 4: to probably come out of this is mister Ford is
- 1:16Speaker 4: not gonna win and when the expected loss comes down
- 1:21Speaker 4: the pike, this will be used as an excuse and
- 1:24Speaker 4: then the mister Democrat, Brad Hutto will then launch another
- 1:30Speaker 4: lawsuit saying that the reason my candidate was unable to
- 1:33Speaker 4: win was because you penalized him with a rule that
- 1:36Speaker 4: was we've already decided that that rule doesn't make sense,
- 1:39Speaker 4: the judge said so himself. And so now we're gonna
- 1:42Speaker 4: have to redo the entire primary.
- 1:45Speaker 3: No, let's hope we don't go through that. I don't.
- 1:48Speaker 5: I don't think it goes beyond this. But again, I'm
- 1:52Speaker 5: like you, I'm not sure why Danny Ford is fighting
- 1:54Speaker 5: so hard to get on this ballot this late. When
- 1:58Speaker 5: he says he's going to run again, he said, this
- 2:00Speaker 5: is not the end of his political future.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Oh no, it's a lifetime of political service. Well, you've
- 2:06Speaker 4: served us so well here in the GOP in the
- 2:08Speaker 4: last couple of weeks. This has been fantastic, Thank you, sir.
- 2:12Speaker 4: The ten people now vying for the GOP bid, only
- 2:16Speaker 4: four Russell Fry, Darlene Graham, Ralph Norman and Mark Sandford
- 2:22Speaker 4: have made the double digit polls. I did not see, Christopher,
- 2:27Speaker 4: did you see anything about the debate from last night.
- 2:30Speaker 4: How that went.
- 2:30Speaker 5: I watched the first oh twenty minutes or so. Okay,
- 2:34Speaker 5: you know, it wasn't a huge change. Different topics. The
- 2:38Speaker 5: give the moderator's credit. They obviously had watched the night
- 2:40Speaker 5: before what you and other questioners had asked of these candidates.
- 2:44Speaker 5: So different questions, but it was more the same.
- 2:48Speaker 3: The Darlene Graham did not appear, correct, she did not.
- 2:52Speaker 3: She said she was back in the Senate for a vote.
- 2:55Speaker 4: And I guess what we'll have to talk about, maybe
- 2:58Speaker 4: a little bit later on in the show is.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Strategy. The strategy.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Obviously, the Graham campaign has been getting just hammered locally
- 3:10Speaker 4: because of the lack of local media access. Well, that
- 3:13Speaker 4: all changed yesterday with the announcement that the first local
- 3:18Speaker 4: media to get that would be the far right wingers
- 3:22Speaker 4: over at ETV s CETV is going to get land
- 3:27Speaker 4: that very coveted first interview with Darlene Graham.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Again.
- 3:32Speaker 4: I saw that thing blowing up on social media, like
- 3:34Speaker 4: are you flipping kidding me? There's already a vibe in
- 3:40Speaker 4: the party that the Darlene Graham candidacy is meant to distract,
- 3:48Speaker 4: to possibly be that her support of Katrina Sheely is
- 3:52Speaker 4: what people say. They point to that and say rhino,
- 3:56Speaker 4: you know, pro abortion, those types of things, and then
- 4:00Speaker 4: no interviews except for we'll just say these the left
- 4:06Speaker 4: leaning public television stations. I cannot, for the life of me,
- 4:13Speaker 4: understand why she would. I'm not saying you have to
- 4:15Speaker 4: talk to me. I'm saying there's a bunch of right
- 4:19Speaker 4: leaning media outlets, or even mainstream media outlets like you
- 4:22Speaker 4: could go to the Posting Courier.
- 4:24Speaker 3: You can go to.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Any of these places, and I don't think anybody's gonna
- 4:28Speaker 4: give you the gotcha questions. You already know the questions
- 4:30Speaker 4: that are gonna come. I mean, you see them on
- 4:33Speaker 4: social media all day. These are the types of questions
- 4:35Speaker 4: that we're gonna ask you. Well, I'd be happy to
- 4:38Speaker 4: write out my matter of fact. I might do that today.
- 4:41Speaker 4: I might do a social media post. These would be
- 4:44Speaker 4: the five questions I'd like to ask Darlene Graham. And
- 4:46Speaker 4: if you'd like to add to that, you can add
- 4:48Speaker 4: to that. But I to go to SEETV.
- 4:53Speaker 3: This is crazy.
- 4:54Speaker 5: And if you want an example of what it looks
- 4:57Speaker 5: like to appear to be dodging questions, just look at
- 5:02Speaker 5: what happened to Pamela Evitt, because that's exactly what it
- 5:05Speaker 5: looked like when she decided to sit out a few
- 5:08Speaker 5: debates and it blew up in her candidacy's face. I'm
- 5:12Speaker 5: not sure you want the same type of image, you know,
- 5:16Speaker 5: especially in this carefully compressed election schedule.
- 5:21Speaker 4: You're absolutely right, Christopher Thompson. The Again, the people who
- 5:26Speaker 4: work on the Graham team are some of the best
- 5:30Speaker 4: in the business. So my own this can be my
- 5:33Speaker 4: only takeaway knowing how great those people are who worked
- 5:38Speaker 4: worked for Lindsey Graham and are now currently working for
- 5:41Speaker 4: Darlene Graham. And I don't want to say this, but again,
- 5:45Speaker 4: in the absence of a face to face, on air
- 5:48Speaker 4: type of discussion with somebody who would actually throw out
- 5:51Speaker 4: real questions, I have to speculate that they have come
- 5:55Speaker 4: to the conclusion that she can't she can't win if
- 5:59Speaker 4: she tell if she's in front of a camera.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I completely agree. What else? What other conclusion could you
- 6:06Speaker 3: draw from this?
- 6:07Speaker 4: So we're going full Biden basement strategy. We're going to
- 6:11Speaker 4: just hide as best we can. We're gonna put out
- 6:13Speaker 4: a bunch of press releases. She's for this she's for that,
- 6:17Speaker 4: She's for this, she's for that. Every time any of
- 6:20Speaker 4: those positions get posted anywhere, you're quick to see people
- 6:23Speaker 4: like Will Folks and everybody else on the right come
- 6:26Speaker 4: back and say, well, how would she do so and so?
- 6:30Speaker 3: How would she blow up the filibuster?
- 6:33Speaker 4: I saw j kil Martin, who is a South Carolina
- 6:37Speaker 4: Freedom Caucus member. He commented on one of them. Can
- 6:40Speaker 4: Darling and Graham explain what the filibuster is that she's that, she's,
- 6:45Speaker 4: you know, going to break from her brother on I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 4: it's getting ugly and it doesn't need to be ugly.
- 6:51Speaker 4: It really shouldn't be ugly. Again, she comes into this
- 6:54Speaker 4: with a lot of we'll say sympathy.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Is that the right word. Sure, she's she's a simple.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Athetic figure who, for whatever reason, Donald Trump chose and
- 7:03Speaker 4: said I want her to run. Okay, great, you've got
- 7:06Speaker 4: the president's endorsement. This is a good start to a campaign.
- 7:10Speaker 4: But the last ten days or so it's been I
- 7:14Speaker 4: would say mismanaged. Unless the answer is she can't speak
- 7:19Speaker 4: to the media because it's going to get her killed.
- 7:21Speaker 5: I think Russell Fry had one of the best lines
- 7:23Speaker 5: in that debate Monday, which you took part in but
- 7:26Speaker 5: kind of got glossed over. I mean, he said it
- 7:28Speaker 5: kind of low key, but he said, the Senate is
- 7:31Speaker 5: not an on the job training area.
- 7:34Speaker 3: You know what.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I'm glad you brought that up because it reminded me
- 7:36Speaker 4: of something and it has nothing well, it doesn't have
- 7:40Speaker 4: nothing to do with Russell Fry and Darlene Graham. It
- 7:42Speaker 4: has a little something to do with them. It has
- 7:44Speaker 4: something else to do with another South Carolina house member.
- 7:47Speaker 4: We're going to talk about that because Christopher Thompson just
- 7:50Speaker 4: reminded me. And if you've got things you want to
- 7:52Speaker 4: get off your chest this morning, or things you want
- 7:54Speaker 4: us to discuss, use the talkback feature.
- 7:55Speaker 3: On the iHeartRadio app. It is six'. Ten thanks for
- 7:58Speaker 3: starting your morning With South carolin on his morning.
- 8:00Speaker 2: News this Is South Carolina's Morning news With Kelly nash.
- 8:05Speaker 3: AND i hope you're off to a great.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Start thanks for doing part of your mornings with us
- 8:09Speaker 4: On South Carolina's Morning. News so we talk mostly about
- 8:14Speaker 4: things In charleston And columbia because those are the two
- 8:17Speaker 4: markets in which we, air but of course the state
- 8:21Speaker 4: has other, regions most notably The upstate In. Greenville that
- 8:26Speaker 4: area is represented by a guy Named William. Timmins, now
- 8:29Speaker 4: for people In South carolina, politics the Name William timmins
- 8:33Speaker 4: is one of Those oh my, gosh isn't He he's
- 8:36Speaker 4: the guy who cheated on his wife and there was
- 8:38Speaker 4: a big scandal and it was all over talk radio
- 8:42Speaker 4: and it was all over social. Media it was a big.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Deal i've Met William timmins several. Times he doesn't seem
- 8:48Speaker 4: very interested in knowing. Me and that's, fine that's. OKAY i,
- 8:51Speaker 4: MEAN i totally get. IT i can't really help his,
- 8:55Speaker 4: career by the, way his career seems to be ending right,
- 8:57Speaker 4: now because he said that he's not going to run
- 8:59Speaker 4: for office anymore after this most recent. Election and you,
- 9:05Speaker 4: know good for. HIM i, mean he's he's term limiting.
- 9:07Speaker 4: HIMSELF i GRET i. Guess but for whatever, Reason William
- 9:12Speaker 4: timmins is deciding to go out as a Pro Darlene graham.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Person and that's, fine, obviously that's, fine you, know you you,
- 9:22Speaker 4: know find your candidate and cheer him. On BUT i
- 9:26Speaker 4: don't understand Why republicans want to tear down. Others AND
- 9:31Speaker 4: i really don't like it when somebody starts the critique
- 9:35Speaker 4: or the insult by identifying the person they're about to
- 9:39Speaker 4: insult as my, friend and he last night tweeted, OUT
- 9:45Speaker 4: i was disappointed to see my Friend Russell frye a
- 9:51Speaker 4: falsely Attacking Senator Darlene graham after his own shaky debate.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Performance he knows just AS i. Do that's Or graham
- 10:00Speaker 4: is fulfilling her responsibility on The Senate Judiciary, committee where
- 10:03Speaker 4: she voted this morning to advance The president's nominee For Attorney,
- 10:07Speaker 4: General Todd. Blanche service comes before. Ambition so again this
- 10:11Speaker 4: is the critique that she would not appear via satellite
- 10:16Speaker 4: because the television stations in The Low country had offered.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Listen if she can't make it, in we get, it
- 10:22Speaker 4: but we can do it via. Satellite and she, said,
- 10:25Speaker 4: Nah i'm. Good so then he goes on to Critique russell. Further,
- 10:31Speaker 4: Meanwhile Russell frye is running for both His house seat
- 10:34Speaker 4: and the Open senate, seat putting Our republican majority at
- 10:38Speaker 4: risk now more than. Ever we cannot afford to hand
- 10:41Speaker 4: this seat to A democrat and give The left another
- 10:44Speaker 4: vote for its impeachment. Agenda so he's raised up this
- 10:48Speaker 4: TOTAL bs narrative that there's some sort of possibility that
- 10:52Speaker 4: If Russell frye is not The house nominee for that,
- 10:55Speaker 4: district which votes sixty five to seventy percent for The
- 10:59Speaker 4: republican every, time every, time we haven't seen A democrat
- 11:05Speaker 4: sniff office in that area in thirty.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Years you're not Gonna you're not gonna.
- 11:10Speaker 4: See my bottle of water to run against A democrat
- 11:15Speaker 4: and win in The Russell fryes. District it's whoever wins
- 11:17Speaker 4: the primary in that district gets the.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Vote the.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Vote so why Would William timms come on out and,
- 11:22Speaker 4: say my Friend Russell frye is falsely Attacking Senator Darling
- 11:26Speaker 4: Graham When russell fry was pointing out that she was
- 11:29Speaker 4: dodging a, debate she.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Had the chance to be, there even by a, satellite
- 11:33Speaker 5: and she chose not to do.
- 11:35Speaker 3: It that's not a a it's not a false.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Attack that is a legit, attack whether you think it
- 11:41Speaker 4: has any weight or. Not perhaps you Like Christopher, thompson
- 11:45Speaker 4: he watched part of it last, night said it wasn't
- 11:47Speaker 4: a whole lot different than the one we saw the night,
- 11:49Speaker 4: Before so perhaps that was the. Reasoning, hey look we've
- 11:52Speaker 4: already had our debate stand on, that then say, look you, know,
- 11:55Speaker 4: YEAH i could have appeared via satellite that no votes
- 11:58Speaker 4: were being taken between seven and eight last night That
- 12:00Speaker 4: i'm aware. Of she's she you, KNOW i was rallying
- 12:04Speaker 4: The Save America. Act, okay you could have taken an
- 12:07Speaker 4: hour off for a debate if you'd wanted to say
- 12:10Speaker 4: you don't value the. Debate but For William timmins to
- 12:13Speaker 4: just come out of left field and, say my friend
- 12:15Speaker 4: is falsely Attacking Senator darling And. Graham what are you
- 12:19Speaker 4: even talking? About and then to imply that the that
- 12:22Speaker 4: somehow The house is going to be lost If Russell
- 12:24Speaker 4: fry is to win The senate. Seat this is a
- 12:27Speaker 4: TOTAL bs attack By William. TIMMINS i DON'T i don't
- 12:30Speaker 4: understand any of.
- 12:32Speaker 5: It i've been struggling to understand the attacks because we've
- 12:36Speaker 5: seen Now fry has Mentioned Darlene graham a couple of.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Times that's understandable Because Darling graham's the front runner and
- 12:43Speaker 5: all the. Polls Mark lynch, again yet last night went
- 12:48Speaker 5: right After Ralph norman from the word go and and
- 12:52Speaker 5: it flew right over most people's. HEADS i think he
- 12:55Speaker 5: mentioned so fab, okay which has again become a hot.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Topic you stand that on the state, level but you,
- 13:01Speaker 5: know we're talking about A senate, race and you Know
- 13:04Speaker 5: lynch is still bringing up sylfab And Ralph norman's possible involvement,
- 13:07Speaker 5: there which you, Know norman again said well this is silly,
- 13:10Speaker 5: season and you, know here we go, again and it's
- 13:12Speaker 5: pretty much the same thing you said On monday. Night
- 13:15Speaker 5: but Does lynch think he has the same lane As
- 13:18Speaker 5: norman to pursue?
- 13:19Speaker 4: Here i'm Guessing i'm GONNA i would, Think, boy IF
- 13:23Speaker 4: i was advising The lynch, campaign.
- 13:26Speaker 3: That's a tough. One But i'm.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Guessing, so, Look Darlene graham has her own lane that
- 13:32Speaker 4: there's nobody you're not going to take A Darling graham
- 13:35Speaker 4: voter away from.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Her at this.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Point the rest of them are kind of fighting over
- 13:40Speaker 4: the conservative. Position it seems right now That Ralph norman
- 13:46Speaker 4: is the front runner in that, group although there's been
- 13:49Speaker 4: some new polling that shows That Russell fry may be
- 13:51Speaker 4: the front runner in the conservative. Lane at the same,
- 13:55Speaker 4: time we both have thought That Mark sanford has done
- 13:59Speaker 4: a great. JOB i don't know how he did last,
- 14:01Speaker 4: night but, yeah he's very good on the, stage but
- 14:06Speaker 4: the baggage is holding him, back AND i don't know
- 14:09Speaker 4: that HE i would guess he can't overcome the.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Baggage that's my. Guess and then There's Mark, lynch And Mark.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Lynch seems to BE i don't want to say a
- 14:20Speaker 4: derogatory tune a, term but he attracts we'll just, say
- 14:25Speaker 4: the most passionate on the, right the.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Fringe some would say the. Fringe i'm. Trying i'm trying
- 14:30Speaker 3: to keep it.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Positive, christopher he attracts the, fringe but that is also
- 14:37Speaker 4: considered part of the conservative, movement And i'm thinking that
- 14:40Speaker 4: he feels IF i can take down The Ralph norman,
- 14:42Speaker 4: TEAM i can build all that up and maybe Overcome
- 14:46Speaker 4: Russell fry and then get into the. Runoff That's i'm
- 14:50Speaker 4: guessing the strategy. There but again to your earlier, point
- 14:54Speaker 4: they all should be kind of attacking each other because
- 14:56Speaker 4: they're all running for the same. Seat SO i get
- 15:00Speaker 4: why you want to diminish your opponent and build up somebody.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Else But William timmins doesn't have a dog in this.
- 15:05Speaker 4: FIGHT i, mean if If Ralph norman wins Or Russell
- 15:09Speaker 4: fry wins who you claim is your, friend and then you,
- 15:12Speaker 4: know If Darlene graham, wins or whoever, Wins Mark lynch,
- 15:16Speaker 4: Wins Duke buckner, wins it's still A Republican probably in all,
- 15:21Speaker 4: likelihood we could nominate anybody and still beat that VERY
- 15:27Speaker 4: i won't say it derogatory, term but a very Susceptible Annie.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Andrews we'll just make her a susceptible. Candidate but, yes
- 15:36Speaker 4: The Republican party is in fantastic. Shape but the way
- 15:39Speaker 4: it gets in bad shape is when you Have republicans
- 15:41Speaker 4: Attacking republicans who aren't even involved in the.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Fight you're now tearing down people for no possible.
- 15:48Speaker 4: Reason there's there's nothing for you to gain unless there's
- 15:50Speaker 4: some sort of like do senators appoint? PEOPLE i, mean
- 15:54Speaker 4: could she have like some sort of administration Where William,
- 15:57Speaker 4: timmins who who's now term limiting, himself is going to
- 15:59Speaker 4: be a senior advisor and it makes a lot of
- 16:02Speaker 4: money or.
- 16:02Speaker 3: SOMETHING i doubt, that.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yes so DID.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I SO i don't understand what his angle. Is but,
- 16:07Speaker 4: Again William timmins doesn't talk to me BECAUSE i don't
- 16:10Speaker 4: broadcast In. GREENVILLE i want to get on In, Greenville,
- 16:13Speaker 4: christopher we've got to push For, greenville so we could
- 16:16Speaker 4: Force William timmins to a. Microphone but it's not working
- 16:18Speaker 4: With Darling graham And charleston At, columbia SO i don't,
- 16:21Speaker 4: know maybe it doesn't work there.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Either all, right this Is South Carolina's Morning.
- 16:25Speaker 2: News you're listening To South Carolina's Morning news With Kelly.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Nash all, right so we're running behind BECAUSE i went
- 16:32Speaker 4: a little, long BUT i will say this that you
- 16:34Speaker 4: never know who's.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Listening and so one of The timmins.
- 16:37Speaker 4: People not directly affiliated With, timmins but somebody with The,
- 16:41Speaker 4: republicans we'll just put it that, way has reached out
- 16:44Speaker 4: TO its to clarify The timmins complaint About russell fry,
- 16:48Speaker 4: which again the people who were talking to me about
- 16:51Speaker 4: this are also saying he should shut his mouth on.
- 16:53Speaker 4: This but his concern Is christopher that apparently Under South
- 16:57Speaker 4: carolina law that If Russell frye, wins he'll serve as
- 17:02Speaker 4: our house member Till. January but under Current South carolina,
- 17:07Speaker 4: law we couldn't have a prime excuse, me some sort
- 17:12Speaker 4: of an ELECTION i guess Until, may so there would
- 17:15Speaker 4: be like five months.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Where we would not have a representative.
- 17:18Speaker 4: There in that, yes representing that, district unless you were
- 17:22Speaker 4: to get The South Carolina General assembly back in session
- 17:27Speaker 4: sooner and then they could vote on this. Thing that to,
- 17:31Speaker 4: me it seems like it's a flaw in the law
- 17:33Speaker 4: that the governor would not just appoint somebody if you
- 17:35Speaker 4: have a vacant. Seat but apparently that's not the way
- 17:39Speaker 4: it is. Currently so that is the basis of The
- 17:41Speaker 4: timmins attack On. Fry so now we understand a little bit,
- 17:45Speaker 4: more all, right and so we'll give them a little
- 17:47Speaker 4: grace on. That not much good, clarification absolutely absolutely all,
- 17:51Speaker 4: right six thirty.
- 17:52Speaker 3: One we'll be back in a. Second South Carolina's Morning.
- 17:54Speaker 2: News your, news, traffic weather and information. Stations this Is
- 17:59Speaker 2: south Care Carolina's Morning news on ONE o three point FIVE,
- 18:02Speaker 2: fm five SIXTY AM, wvoc and ninety four to THREE.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Wsc, Now Kelly, nash all.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Right we're trying to figure out what is going on In.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Michigan this is the most recent news That i've. Seen And,
- 18:19Speaker 4: christopher you're probably better at looking at these things THAN i.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Am abdul l AND i was corrected.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Yesterday i've been saying said as many people on the
- 18:29Speaker 4: media have been, saying but apparently it's pronounced L sied
- 18:33Speaker 4: like mister ed L sied is apparently clinging to a,
- 18:38Speaker 4: lead but has not yet been declared the.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Winner has that. CHANGED Nbc news has just declared him the.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Winner that just.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Happened, yes all, Right so the last UPDATE i had
- 18:49Speaker 4: seen was six oh three and he was. Clinging he
- 18:51Speaker 4: had a forty eight Point now.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Do they not go to a?
- 18:57Speaker 4: Runoff there must be some third Candidate i'm gonna ware
- 19:00Speaker 4: of because it's six o three this. Morning he had
- 19:01Speaker 4: forty eight point six and she had forty seven point.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Six SO i don't know if Maybe michigan rules are.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Different.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Uh in The House William, lawrence WHO i think is
- 19:13Speaker 4: just a Regular, democrat the guy the nut job shri
- 19:18Speaker 4: Than thanadar or. Whatever he Lost and if you've seen
- 19:22Speaker 4: that guy was like a multi millionaire whose only platform
- 19:26Speaker 4: is Impeached Donald. Trump and you've you've probably seen. Him he,
- 19:29Speaker 4: sproke speaks Broken. English Donald.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Trump he must be he must be gone to be
- 19:34Speaker 3: like A d Six Donald.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Trump, anyway he's been like a house member for like
- 19:38Speaker 4: six years or. Something he lost last, Night, so, uh
- 19:41Speaker 4: some changes are coming to The Democrat, party some, good some,
- 19:44Speaker 4: bad most, bad mostly. Bad although the why AM i
- 19:50Speaker 4: finding myself cheering for the Hikeem jeffries candidate In? Missouri
- 19:55Speaker 4: BUT i, Am and that's Because William, lawrence who is
- 19:59Speaker 4: the Defeated i'm, sorry Not William. Lawrence what's the person's,
- 20:05Speaker 4: Name it doesn't. Matter Corey bush was the, challenger And
- 20:08Speaker 4: Corey bush had been a famous member of the squad
- 20:12Speaker 4: until she was defeated and she Got Wesley. Bell that's his.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Name Wesley bell housed her got sixty percent of the
- 20:20Speaker 4: vote last, night so she had thirty six and a half.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Percent So Corey bush and THE dsa not making a
- 20:28Speaker 4: comeback In, missouri at least in that house.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Seat so did you see anything last? Night and because we.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Had like five different, STATES i think we're having. Primaries,
- 20:36Speaker 4: Well i'll just go back and correct WHAT i said About.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Michigan even THOUGH Nbc news has Declared El saied the,
- 20:41Speaker 4: Winner New York times posted three minutes ago too close to,
- 20:45Speaker 4: call that there are still votes being counted and that
- 20:48Speaker 4: it is not official. Yet m so different reports from
- 20:53Speaker 4: different media, outlets.
- 20:54Speaker 3: And this puts me in a. Trick bag because el.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Sied this, socialist the guy who wants to Put fetterman's
- 21:03Speaker 4: head on a, pike HAS i don't want to say
- 21:08Speaker 4: virtually no, chance but he's got right. Now the last
- 21:12Speaker 4: ones THAT i saw on the calcium, markets he had
- 21:14Speaker 4: like a twenty eight percent chance of Beating Mike rogers
- 21:18Speaker 4: in the general. Election Mike rodgers is a, famous not,
- 21:21Speaker 4: famous but well Known republican In michigan. Politics pretty centrist
- 21:27Speaker 4: kind of, GUY i would. Say, now the, Woman Haley.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Stevens Hailey STEVENS i would describe as.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Like A Saturday Night live.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Character she looks, like what's his? Face who is the
- 21:40Speaker 4: guy who had the drug? Overdose, well there's a bunch
- 21:43Speaker 4: of them over, There Chris. Farley she's, like if you
- 21:45Speaker 4: Put Chris farley in a wig and A union, jacket
- 21:49Speaker 4: that's That's Hailey. Stevens and, anyway she's got like a
- 21:53Speaker 4: sixty percent chance of Beating Mike. Rogers so who DO
- 21:57Speaker 4: i want to win this? RACE i, mean If i'm
- 21:59Speaker 4: Pulling Mike, ROGERS i GUESS i want. Lsied but IF
- 22:04Speaker 4: i want to just make sure that whoever wins is
- 22:06Speaker 4: not focused on destroying the, COUNTRY i mean that's pretty
- 22:11Speaker 4: much his platform is Destroy. America and so that's why
- 22:15Speaker 4: he has very little chance of winning In. Michigan they're
- 22:17Speaker 4: saying That, michigan which had been a reliable blue state
- 22:21Speaker 4: because of the rise of The democrat socialist and or
- 22:25Speaker 4: just the more aggressive to the left policies of The
- 22:28Speaker 4: Democrat party the last few, years That michigan has become
- 22:31Speaker 4: more Like. Pennsylvania it's more of like a centrist it's
- 22:34Speaker 4: up for. Grabs it's a purple.
- 22:36Speaker 5: State, now and it shows just how divided The Democrat
- 22:39Speaker 5: party is at this.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Point, well you say you want a, Revolution they're having
- 22:43Speaker 4: it right now in The Democrat. Party all, right thanks
- 22:46Speaker 4: for starting your day With South Carolina's Morning.
- 22:48Speaker 2: News this Is South Carolina's Morning news on ONE o
- 22:51Speaker 2: three point FIVE fm and five SIXTY AM Wvoc columbia
- 22:56Speaker 2: and ninety four to THREE.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Wsc Now Kelly.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Nash Christopher thompson AND i sitting in here this morning
- 23:05Speaker 4: and accepting your talkbacks on The iHeart radio. App and
- 23:10Speaker 4: are we playing one here about a guy who's got
- 23:12Speaker 4: the interest in The democrats socialists fundraising and.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Things, no that's What Sean hannity is getting ready.
- 23:19Speaker 4: To sell OH i thought it Was, okay my, apologies my.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Apologies.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Okay, well it's interesting BECAUSE i was doing a segment
- 23:27Speaker 4: yesterday for another radio show THAT i, do and we're
- 23:29Speaker 4: looking at the cash on, hands AND i know that
- 23:31Speaker 4: we've been. Taught you, know one of the things That
- 23:33Speaker 4: Fox news keeps making a big deal about is the
- 23:35Speaker 4: fact that The republicans have so much more cash than The.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Democrats and that's true when you look at just the actual.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Parties as matter of, fact The Democrat party has like
- 23:45Speaker 4: thirteen million cash on hand and is like sixteen million
- 23:48Speaker 4: dollars in, debt so basically they're, broke and then a
- 23:51Speaker 4: couple of million in the hall and The republicans have
- 23:54Speaker 4: plenty of cash to. Spend, however when you look at
- 23:58Speaker 4: things like packs and how this, RACE i think we mentioned,
- 24:03Speaker 4: yesterday there's supposed to be ten billion dollars spent in this.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Race the vast majority of that's not coming from the,
- 24:09Speaker 4: parties that's coming from. Packs and you may be, wondering,
- 24:12Speaker 4: well how does money get into the? Race, WELL i
- 24:15Speaker 4: can tell you that, if for, example if you look
- 24:17Speaker 4: at The Act blue, website they'll tell you right on
- 24:20Speaker 4: The Act blue, website that they cannot accept foreign donations
- 24:25Speaker 4: unless you're using the five oh ONE c. Four that
- 24:30Speaker 4: is a loophole In american. Politics so the five oh
- 24:33Speaker 4: ONE c three is what most people hear, about but
- 24:36Speaker 4: the five oh ONE c four that is supposed to
- 24:38Speaker 4: be or can be used for political. Activity and so
- 24:43Speaker 4: if you request that your money be used in a
- 24:45Speaker 4: five oh ONE ce four Through Act, blue then you
- 24:49Speaker 4: can affect. Races and that's where the vast majority of
- 24:53Speaker 4: the literal billions of dollars that comes in from foreign.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Entities that is a loophole in our life laws that
- 25:00Speaker 4: has allowed The democrats to fund an open revolution against
- 25:06Speaker 4: The american. People their money is coming From china And
- 25:10Speaker 4: russia And iran and terrorist organizations who want to have
- 25:13Speaker 4: a direct impact on our. Races and SO i would
- 25:17Speaker 4: love to SEE i, KNOW i Know trump has talked
- 25:19Speaker 4: about Investigating Act, blue possibly shutting Down Act, blue but
- 25:24Speaker 4: better yet Yet congress to rewrite the.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Laws live from The State, capitol this Is South Carolina's Morning.
- 25:32Speaker 1: News With kelly Nash Hey.
- 25:34Speaker 3: There seven oh.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Three Christopher thompson pointing out THAT Nbc news has called
- 25:40Speaker 4: The michigan, race but they're the only ones apparently who
- 25:44Speaker 4: have called. It fox is, Not New York times is.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Not it's JUST nbc can't wait for a socialist to.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Win.
- 25:52Speaker 5: YEAH i haven't seen anyone, else any other major outlet
- 25:55Speaker 5: calling it.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Yet so does THE Nbc News Breaking news where they
- 26:01Speaker 4: call it For El? Sayed do they say the percentage
- 26:04Speaker 4: of the vote that he GOT Nbc, News because to,
- 26:09Speaker 4: me that was one of the things that we were
- 26:10Speaker 4: talking about, earlier is the fact that he was at
- 26:13Speaker 4: like forty nine point three and she was at like
- 26:15Speaker 4: forty eight point six or, Something and So i'm wondering
- 26:18Speaker 4: if there's a third candidate in there that would prohibit
- 26:22Speaker 4: him from possibly getting over fifty, percent which THEN i
- 26:25Speaker 4: would wonder why they wouldn't have a.
- 26:26Speaker 5: RUNOFF i haven't SEEN Nbc news's vote. Total, okay looking, now.
- 26:32Speaker 4: Well that makes it easier to call the race when
- 26:34Speaker 4: you don't give the. Totals and that's.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Really what the and that's the way The democrats like
- 26:37Speaker 3: to do.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Things axeos just updated thirty four minutes. Ago L sayed
- 26:42Speaker 5: hold slim. Lead no one has called it yet other THAN.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Nbc, Interesting so other news with elections coming Up North,
- 26:51Speaker 4: carolina you might have heard on the top of the hour.
- 26:54Speaker 4: There Representative Chuck edwards announced overnight that he is not
- 26:58Speaker 4: seeking reelection. Now he's out after The House Ethics committee
- 27:02Speaker 4: recommended he'd be formally censured over investigation into his conduct
- 27:06Speaker 4: conduct towards two former.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Staffers and you know, WHAT i like.
- 27:11Speaker 4: THIS i like the fact that the this is a no,
- 27:14Speaker 4: fuss no musk cleaning of house by The. Republicans we've
- 27:17Speaker 4: got a guy. Here nobody's claiming he did anything. Criminal
- 27:22Speaker 4: they're saying he's a. Creep AND i know in one,
- 27:26Speaker 4: instance he was like some conference or something and he
- 27:30Speaker 4: had flowers delivered to his former staffers' room and was
- 27:34Speaker 4: trying to buy her cocktails and. Whatever he's, married and
- 27:39Speaker 4: that's between him and his. Wife how he deals with.
- 27:41Speaker 4: That he says it was not meant. Sexually, okay it's,
- 27:44Speaker 4: creepy and numerous women have complained about you being a,
- 27:49Speaker 4: creep and so The Republican party, said you know, what
- 27:51Speaker 4: we're just going to clean it. Up unlike you, Know
- 27:55Speaker 4: rapie mcbeard up In, maine they are like trying to
- 28:00Speaker 4: well if they're trying to coalesce around them for months on,
- 28:02Speaker 4: End and that wasn't just creepy. Allegations those are full
- 28:06Speaker 4: on sexual assault allegations combined with all kinds of perversions
- 28:12Speaker 4: in outhouses that none of us should ever have to
- 28:15Speaker 4: be exposed to even reading about ever. Again So i'm
- 28:19Speaker 4: thankful that that era On politico and other news. Outlets
- 28:23Speaker 4: we don't have to read about rape mcbeard up there
- 28:25Speaker 4: In maine any. Longer but the Tell rico claims are
- 28:28Speaker 4: going to be coming out. Now they're starting to break
- 28:31Speaker 4: and so we'll watch what happens with the creepy mccrippenstein Of.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Texas here In South, carolina this is just bad government
- 28:40Speaker 4: In South. Carolina so we have a problem where restaurants
- 28:44Speaker 4: and bars can't stay open because we've passed a stupid.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Law and you know, WHAT i don't blame them for
- 28:50Speaker 4: passing a stupid. Law sometimes you don't understand what you're,
- 28:53Speaker 4: passing and you pass a, law and when you realize
- 28:57Speaker 4: that it's doing damage to the people Of North carolina
- 29:01Speaker 4: or whatever state you're, representing you then correct. It and
- 29:04Speaker 4: they tried to correct, it but because they got bogged
- 29:07Speaker 4: down trying to figure out what to do with all
- 29:09Speaker 4: the quote unquote excess money we took in The South
- 29:14Speaker 4: carolina proviso that was going to change would have changed
- 29:19Speaker 4: a permanent, law which is against the rut the.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Rules according To House ways.
- 29:23Speaker 4: And Means Chairman Bruce, banister this was a rule of
- 29:26Speaker 4: violation from the, beginning and now that it's been, recognized
- 29:30Speaker 4: it's been kicked. Out so the fact that we weren't
- 29:34Speaker 4: able to get our budget in order when we were
- 29:37Speaker 4: supposed to means that when they finally do pass, it
- 29:41Speaker 4: one of the things that will not be in it
- 29:43Speaker 4: is the changing of the law for the bar owners
- 29:48Speaker 4: and restaurant owners who serve liquor to carry at least
- 29:51Speaker 4: a million dollars in liability. Insurance and because of, that
- 29:55Speaker 4: a lot of these places are now closing and or
- 29:58Speaker 4: charging higher.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Prices is because of. This, again it's a bad.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Law and you, know The Senate Majority Leader Shane messi
- 30:06Speaker 4: said In, april we need to get a proviso out
- 30:11Speaker 4: there to suspend this thing because it's it's crushing businesses
- 30:14Speaker 4: In South. Carolina so he was right to suggest. It
- 30:17Speaker 4: but again i'll point Out Majority Leader Shane massey unable
- 30:21Speaker 4: to pass, it so.
- 30:23Speaker 5: It got through The. Senate but the, well The house
- 30:28Speaker 5: rules say that you can't change a law with a,
- 30:32Speaker 5: Proviso so shouldn't The senate majority leader know The house
- 30:37Speaker 5: rules when he's trying to push push something. Through i'm
- 30:40Speaker 5: not Blaming Shane massey for. This this has gone on
- 30:43Speaker 5: for a number of years. Now but, still if he,
- 30:46Speaker 5: was if he was providing a, fix shouldn't he know
- 30:50Speaker 5: this fix wasn't going to work at least it wasn't
- 30:52Speaker 5: going to get through The house as?
- 30:53Speaker 4: Well you would you would think that, somebody somebody, somewhere
- 31:00Speaker 4: somehow should have known.
- 31:01Speaker 3: That don't they talk to each?
- 31:03Speaker 4: Other doesn't The house members and The senate members talk
- 31:06Speaker 4: to each other houseways and means, Again Chairman Bruce, banister
- 31:10Speaker 4: it was a rule violation from the, beginning AND i
- 31:13Speaker 4: think that was. Recognized so when he SAYS i think
- 31:16Speaker 4: it was, recognized is he, saying now it was recognized
- 31:19Speaker 4: and that's why we had to kick it out of the.
- 31:20Speaker 4: Budget or is he saying it was recognized And i'll
- 31:24Speaker 4: make it sinister By Shane massey when he proposed it
- 31:27Speaker 4: and was grand standing the whole.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Time. Hmm makes you wonder because it's like all those.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Times that we had The republicans ready to Repeal obamacare
- 31:35Speaker 4: until they actually knew they had to votche and then
- 31:36Speaker 4: they stopped proposing to Repeal.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Obamacare SO i don't know what's going on.
- 31:41Speaker 4: In columbia with, that BUT i can tell you that
- 31:43Speaker 4: All South carolinians have to pay higher food and beverage
- 31:46Speaker 4: costs if they serve alcohol there because of this bad
- 31:50Speaker 4: governance In South.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Carolina so that's my take on.
- 31:53Speaker 4: It you got thoughts on, it you can let us
- 31:54Speaker 4: know on the talkback feature on the iHeartRadio app With
- 31:57Speaker 4: South Carolina's Morning.
- 31:58Speaker 2: News this Is South Caare Carolina's Morning news With Kelly.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Nash you, know it's nice to see a wish Of
- 32:06Speaker 4: Donald trump's come. TRUE i think this might have Been monday.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Night i'm not sure when it. WAS i saw it
- 32:13Speaker 4: late last. Evening Caitlyn, Collins.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Caitlyn you're a beautiful. Woman you've got a great job
- 32:20Speaker 3: at fake NEWS. Cnn you should smile more.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Often she actually did smile while interviewing the sudden new
- 32:28Speaker 4: front runner for The wisconsin. Governor the answer is so ridiculous, that,
- 32:34Speaker 4: Yes Caitlyn collins is almost in.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Laughter do you still believe That thanksgiving should be?
- 32:40Speaker 6: Canceled i'm a, chef and one of the first meals
- 32:43Speaker 6: THAT i made that was for the community.
- 32:48Speaker 7: WHEN i was sixteen was A thanksgiving. Meal, NOW i
- 32:51Speaker 7: always think my.
- 32:52Speaker 6: Hospitality background and owning a restaurant for seven eight, years
- 32:56Speaker 6: that bringing folks around the table to share conversation and
- 33:00Speaker 6: build community is always a good. Thing But thanksgaping is
- 33:04Speaker 6: also a time that's incredibly painful for many people in our.
- 33:08Speaker 6: Communities and SO i think THERE i wanted to make
- 33:11Speaker 6: sure that people understood that there are multiple, views but
- 33:15Speaker 6: views can. Evolve and the position That i'm running for right,
- 33:19Speaker 6: now AND i think my background as a chef will
- 33:22Speaker 6: actually help me become a better governor that's able to
- 33:24Speaker 6: bring more people to the table That her name Is Francesca.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Hong she describes herself as a chef and a former business.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Owner in, reality she was married to a guy who
- 33:36Speaker 4: owned a ramen noodle. Shop that's AND i guess she
- 33:40Speaker 4: was the you, know the chef who heeded the ramen.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Noodles they're now.
- 33:46Speaker 4: DIVORCED i think the main reason they're divorced is because he's.
- 33:50Speaker 4: White she doesn't like white, people and that puts her
- 33:54Speaker 4: at a disadvantage because her only son is half, white
- 33:58Speaker 4: and she talks About now, again this woman Is korean in,
- 34:02Speaker 4: uh you, know but her parents are Both americans born
- 34:07Speaker 4: In america Of korean. Descent she was born In, Madison,
- 34:11Speaker 4: wisconsin so it's a second Generation american.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Family and again she talks about.
- 34:16Speaker 6: ASSIMILATION i wasn't always aware of the struggles of other
- 34:19Speaker 6: communities of, color because for, me a simulation always kind
- 34:23Speaker 6: of took, over and SO i did. Marry my proximity
- 34:29Speaker 6: to whiteness, continues RIGHT i. Am my son is. Biracial
- 34:33Speaker 6: he's half white and Half, korean AND i think, navigating you,
- 34:38Speaker 6: know what his identity is and and how people perceive
- 34:41Speaker 6: him as is always at the back of my mind as.
- 34:43Speaker 4: Well one, day this kid's going to grow up and
- 34:45Speaker 4: go my mom actually hates.
- 34:47Speaker 5: Me, yeah she's uncomfortable being around her son because he's white.
- 34:52Speaker 3: And assimilating To american.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Culture, NOW i don't know if this is actually in my,
- 34:57Speaker 4: mind this is the WAY i imagined At christopher the,
- 35:00Speaker 4: video and it's obviously some sort of far left podcast
- 35:04Speaker 4: thing happening where they've got like multiple people, on BUT
- 35:06Speaker 4: i feel like they were playing a game of can
- 35:10Speaker 4: you make it? Racist Like we'll just throw out a
- 35:13Speaker 4: word vacuum. Cleaners how do you make it? Racist? Right
- 35:17Speaker 4: so she now she was a chef and a business.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Owner she's currently not a, joke a. Bartender that's what
- 35:24Speaker 4: she does for a. Living not to diminish, that but
- 35:26Speaker 4: that's what that's where she is following THE, aoc you,
- 35:30Speaker 4: know roadmap to.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Success AND i feel like the question, was can you
- 35:35Speaker 3: make bartending?
- 35:37Speaker 7: Racist kind of as rooted in white supremacy that tipping in.
- 35:40Speaker 7: Itself if we look at the history of tipping and
- 35:44Speaker 7: how racist it is and how it has kept wages
- 35:47Speaker 7: low for black people for very long. Time and if
- 35:50Speaker 7: you look at tipping, now how different the scales are
- 35:53Speaker 7: in terms of of who receives higher percentage of the
- 35:57Speaker 7: tips over other.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Folks white people get all the. Tips, wow everything could be.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Racist but again she is the front. Runner and again
- 36:07Speaker 4: this is the most recent pall they have out In.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Wisconsin fox six has her at thirty eight percent right
- 36:12Speaker 4: now in second place was And i'm using past tens
- 36:18Speaker 4: because was last week the Current Lieutenant, Governor Mandela barnes
- 36:23Speaker 4: was at sixteen, percent so more than twenty points. Behind

- 43:11Speaker 3: with The epstein.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Files should be our nation's highest law enforcement.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Officer now.
- 43:20Speaker 4: The the when you throw the shade the president's former
- 43:25Speaker 4: personal lawyer for some, reason that feels like he's implying
- 43:29Speaker 4: that it's. BAD i would point out that you if
- 43:32Speaker 4: you have a personal, lawyer someone you've done business. With
- 43:35Speaker 4: you can trust that, person you kind of understand that,
- 43:38Speaker 4: person you get how that person, thinks unlike the FIRST
- 43:42Speaker 4: Ag Jeff, sessions who was an absolute total disaster of
- 43:47Speaker 4: an attorney. General and if you look back at, That
- 43:50Speaker 4: Jeff sessions is sitting there at his, desk. Hyler I'm Jeff,

- 44:51Speaker 4: About has led the burying of The epstein? Files have
- 44:57Speaker 4: The epstein files been?
- 44:58Speaker 3: BURIED i thought we had seen all we were going to,
- 45:01Speaker 3: see like literally like millions of. Them? Correct and was
- 45:06Speaker 3: why was he the lead on that? One he's never
- 45:10Speaker 3: even been the lead of.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Anything he's never been the, LEAD i mean other Than
- 45:14Speaker 4: trump's defense. Team he was never the lead at any,
- 45:17Speaker 4: level whether it Was Pam bondi or whomever they were the.
- 45:21Speaker 4: Lead so what Is James cliburn even? Saying does anybody?
- 45:25Speaker 4: Know Does James clyburn? KNOW i feel Like Donald, TRUMP

- 45:31Speaker 3: Knows what he's.
- 45:32Speaker 5: Saying speaking of The, SENATE i Noticed Susan collins yesterday
- 45:35Speaker 5: came out with a long post saying why she is
- 45:37Speaker 5: voting Against Todd.
- 45:39Speaker 4: Blanche do you think That Susan collins wrote THAT i
- 45:43Speaker 4: probably a, staffer PROBABLY ai and then cleaned up by
- 45:47Speaker 4: a Staffer Susan collins.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 45:52Speaker 4: But That, yeah In South, carolina we're still represented By James.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Cliburn AND i.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Read dish cannot arrive soon, enough and my, Estimation i'll
- 46:03Speaker 4: just leave it with.
- 46:04Speaker 3: THAT i thought you were going with, retirement but that.
- 46:07Speaker 4: Too, yeah, retirement, redistricting, retreading re, whatever let's get let's
- 46:12Speaker 4: get moving.
- 46:12Speaker 3: On it's seven thirty nine On South Carolina's morning.
- 46:15Speaker 2: News this Is South Carolina's Morning news on ONE o
- 46:18Speaker 2: three point FIVE fm and five SIXTY AM, Wvoc columbia
- 46:23Speaker 2: and ninety four to THREE Wsc.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Charleston, Now Kelly.
- 46:29Speaker 9: Nash i'm calling regarding the issue Over Congressman fry having
- 46:34Speaker 9: to vacate His house seat should he win The. Senate
- 46:38Speaker 9: take a look AT h three five five, seven which
- 46:41Speaker 9: The General assembly passed earlier this year and it became
- 46:44Speaker 9: law In, may which established four separate special election dates
- 46:50Speaker 9: based on When Congressman fry would have to vacate his.
- 46:53Speaker 9: Seat it seems that his special election would fall on
- 46:55Speaker 9: the Fourth tuesday Of.
- 46:57Speaker 10: January no no, no, no no no, no because he
- 47:01Speaker 10: wouldn't be going in until, then so he would be
- 47:04Speaker 10: he would be our congress representative Into, january so then
- 47:09Speaker 10: you've got to wait until that can.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Happen and so.
- 47:14Speaker 4: What they're, estimating according to THE gop is it would
- 47:18Speaker 4: be about twenty weeks before you could fill that.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Seat so That's i'm.
- 47:23Speaker 5: Looking at that law that she, referenced and, boy it
- 47:26Speaker 5: is confusing the way it's written on or following the
- 47:31Speaker 5: Eleventh tuesday after a vacancy, occurs a primary must be
- 47:37Speaker 5: held on the Eleventh tuesday after the vacancy. Occurs there's
- 47:40Speaker 5: provisions for a primary runoff and a special. Election and
- 47:44Speaker 5: then it sets four, dates the Fourth tuesday In, january
- 47:47Speaker 5: the First tuesday after the First monday In, april the
- 47:50Speaker 5: Second tuesday In june and even numbered years, only and
- 47:54Speaker 5: the Fourth tuesday In, august and the First tuesday after
- 47:57Speaker 5: the First monday In.
- 47:58Speaker 3: NOVEDA i, mean.
- 47:58Speaker 4: My head is spinning glossing. Over i'm, look we're just
- 48:04Speaker 4: guys on the, radio let's be, honest and and and
- 48:07Speaker 4: most people who are listening are not quote unquote political.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Insiders we do have political insiders who, listen and we're
- 48:16Speaker 4: thankful for their. Expertise so it has been earlier in
- 48:21Speaker 4: the show for those of you who missed. IT i
- 48:23Speaker 4: was Criticizing William, timmins AND i stand by my criticism
- 48:26Speaker 4: Of Representative, timmins who represents the upstate In, greenville after
- 48:30Speaker 4: he Attacked Russell, frye and his attack was based on
- 48:34Speaker 4: his main mainly based off his support Of Darlene. Graham
- 48:37Speaker 4: he Endorsed Darlene graham AND i and AGAIN i encourage
- 48:41Speaker 4: people kind of like The Attorney General Alan wilson has,
- 48:43Speaker 4: said you, know, listen cheer hard for your, candidate say
- 48:47Speaker 4: what you can for your. Candidate but let's, remember, uh you,
- 48:50Speaker 4: know the eleventh commandment Of Ronald, reagan now shalt not
- 48:53Speaker 4: talk badly of Other. Republicans, well that's that was violated
- 48:56Speaker 4: in a big way By William timmins last, night who
- 49:00Speaker 4: came out pretty aggressively Against Russell frye and.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Whom he describes as my.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Friend WHICH i hate it when you're about to critique
- 49:07Speaker 4: somebody publicly and then say it's my. Friend but he
- 49:12Speaker 4: was making the point that the Seventh district his. Point
- 49:18Speaker 4: the way he worded, it it sounded like he thought
- 49:20Speaker 4: there was a chance that A democrat would Win Russell
- 49:24Speaker 4: frye's seat if that was to become, open if fry
- 49:27Speaker 4: was to win The senate, seat AND i went bonkers
- 49:30Speaker 4: on that because that is nowhere ever near going to.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Happen we haven't had A democrat pulling above like forty
- 49:36Speaker 4: percent in many.
- 49:37Speaker 3: Decades. There so, somebody a political.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Insider whom i'm WHO i, trust sent me a message
- 49:45Speaker 4: that said his criticism was not nuanced. Enough but the
- 49:50Speaker 4: way the state law is written is we're going to
- 49:53Speaker 4: Be Russell frye has to finish his term as A
- 49:57Speaker 4: Congress house member before become a, Senator so he wouldn't
- 50:01Speaker 4: be sworn in Until january twentieth or. Whatever, Right january
- 50:06Speaker 4: third is when the next New congress. Starts but when
- 50:09Speaker 4: would he be sworn? In would he be sworn in
- 50:11Speaker 4: on the on the?
- 50:12Speaker 3: Third? Okay and then you've got to.
- 50:14Speaker 4: Wait according To South carolina, law you have to wait
- 50:17Speaker 4: how many?
- 50:17Speaker 3: Weeks what did it? Say how? Many how many?
- 50:20Speaker 5: Tuesdays the, twentieth the Eleventh tuesday after the vacancy, occurs all.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Right so you got to wait at least eleven weeks
- 50:30Speaker 4: before you can fill it the way the law was.
- 50:32Speaker 4: Passed and so now could there be some sort of
- 50:37Speaker 4: emergency session held where our State house changes the law
- 50:41Speaker 4: that they've already passed to deal with.
- 50:43Speaker 3: These types of.
- 50:44Speaker 4: Things, sure it sounds like they're passed a stupid law
- 50:47Speaker 4: here to begin. With but the people that we trust
- 50:50Speaker 4: that work inside THE gop were the ones who contacted
- 50:54Speaker 4: us and said it would be vacant for many weeks
- 50:57Speaker 4: waiting for.
- 51:00Speaker 3: To take. It you.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Can't it's not like just the governor appoints to, somebody
- 51:03Speaker 4: or you can have an election like the next. Week
- 51:06Speaker 4: so that's that's where that all comes. From SO i
- 51:08Speaker 4: know that there's a And I'm i'm a Big Russell frye.
- 51:11Speaker 4: SUPPORTER i THINK i think he's a fantastic. Candidate you,
- 51:14Speaker 4: Know i'm A Ralph norman. SUPPORTER i like a lot of.
- 51:19Speaker 4: Them i'll be honest with, you but that is a legit,
- 51:21Speaker 4: criticism Although William timmins should shut his mouth on. That
- 51:26Speaker 4: to be honest with, You William timmons should be Supporting
- 51:28Speaker 4: darling And graham and not taking Down russell Fry that's
- 51:31Speaker 4: WHERE i stand.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Anyway It's South carolina's morning news from.
- 51:34Speaker 1: The midlands to the Low.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Country this Is South carolina's morning news on ONE o
- 51:39Speaker 2: three point FIVE fm and five sixty AM wvoc and
- 51:44Speaker 2: ninety four to THREE.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Wsc now Here's Kelly.
- 51:48Speaker 3: NASH i am reading a story right.
- 51:50Speaker 4: NOW i have to digest this BEFORE i can put
- 51:53Speaker 4: it back on the. Air but we have a apparently
- 51:56Speaker 4: A South carolina politician who is not just double. Dipping
- 52:00Speaker 4: that's that's shameful enough when you double. Dip how about
- 52:03Speaker 4: a triple, DIP a triple. Dipper, no this guy goes
- 52:06Speaker 4: all the way for the quadruple. Dipping, wow quadruple dipping
- 52:11Speaker 4: the Quad this is like a it's like seeing bigfoot.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Sasquatch it's it's been rumored to.
- 52:17Speaker 4: Happen but we have a quadruple dipper In South carolina.
- 52:21Speaker 4: Politics and it's you AND i and every sucker who pays.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Taxes we're all getting taken for a.
- 52:27Speaker 4: Ride Oh i'm GONNA i gotta finish reading this story
- 52:30Speaker 4: over the top of the hour news and then just
- 52:31Speaker 4: come back and just shred this.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Individual stand by for shredding.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Live from the State.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Capitol this Is South Carolina's Morning news With Kelly.
- 52:42Speaker 4: Nash so it's Called Palmetto State Watch, foundation and they're
- 52:48Speaker 4: one of those watchdog groups that kind of keeps an
- 52:51Speaker 4: eye on politics in the. STATE i would describe them
- 52:56Speaker 4: as nonpartisan Because i've seen them shred Republic i've seen
- 53:00Speaker 4: them Shred. DEMOCRATS i think they're also in partnership with
- 53:05Speaker 4: an outlet Called The, nerve WHICH i have quoted in the.
- 53:09Speaker 4: Past now they've got a story today And i'm LOOKING
- 53:13Speaker 4: i love how they, said this is. Great the pattern
- 53:16Speaker 4: that no one can. Refute Scout motors arrived In South
- 53:19Speaker 4: carolina is a backroom deal and has stayed one ever.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Since the legislature rammed through a one point three billion
- 53:27Speaker 4: dollar incentive, package including four hundred million dollars in cash
- 53:34Speaker 4: that most, people including certain, legislators had no idea even.
- 53:40Speaker 4: Existed the legislators voted on things that they didn't.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Know that's. Crazy so that's why it's.
- 53:47Speaker 4: A one point four billion dollar, deals is what they're
- 53:50Speaker 4: really calling, it because of the four hundred million dollars in. Cash,
- 53:54Speaker 4: NOW i think it was last week that we announced
- 53:57Speaker 4: that A Richland County council member was suddenly taking a
- 54:00Speaker 4: job working At Scout.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Motors while keeping his position On Richland County. Council that
- 54:07Speaker 5: guy's name Is Derek. Pugh, Derek Apparently i'm trying to
- 54:15Speaker 5: be generous and gracious here may have conflicts of.
- 54:19Speaker 3: Interest i'll just put it that.
- 54:21Speaker 4: Way he's at least well, Okay first, Off Derek hugh's
- 54:25Speaker 4: already registered agent for three different, nonprofits many of whom
- 54:30Speaker 4: are receiving, WELL i think all of whom are receiving government,
- 54:34Speaker 4: money including one where his wife is the head of.
- 54:39Speaker 4: It so THAT i mean these things Where i'm voting, On,
- 54:43Speaker 4: Like i'm trying to imagine my wife running a nonprofit
- 54:47Speaker 4: and then she's, like.
- 54:48Speaker 3: Well do you think That Richmond county could help out
- 54:50Speaker 3: a little. Bit let me see WHAT i can do, there, darling.
- 54:55Speaker 4: You Should, again according to the, LAWS i guess he
- 54:59Speaker 4: does not have to recuse himself for a conflict of
- 55:02Speaker 4: interest on these types of. Things and here's a tweet
- 55:07Speaker 4: from just the other. Day Scout motors may be indirectly
- 55:10Speaker 4: receiving more government benefits now from the federal. Government The
- 55:13Speaker 4: city Of columbia is seeking eleven point four million from
- 55:17Speaker 4: THE Us Economic Development administration for The Scout Water storage
- 55:21Speaker 4: tank And transmission main project that continues to. Grow two
- 55:25Speaker 4: months before The scout deal became, public nobody knew about.
- 55:29Speaker 4: It Richland county entered into a non disclosure agreement With Scout.
- 55:34Speaker 4: Motors so this deal was done before any of us
- 55:37Speaker 4: even really knew about. It Derek peugh signed AN nda
- 55:41Speaker 4: Regarding Scout motors early, On we're not sure if he
- 55:45Speaker 4: personally signed.
- 55:46Speaker 3: It as part of.
- 55:47Speaker 4: The Economic Development, Committee peugh voted in favor of the
- 55:49Speaker 4: blythe would road widening contract that would serve as the
- 55:53Speaker 4: main artery for The scout. Plant so there he goes
- 55:56Speaker 4: some of your tax dollars to try to help him
- 55:57Speaker 4: get future. Employment goes on to say that this is just.
- 56:03Speaker 4: Fantastic quote this is him talking now in a public Meeting,
- 56:08Speaker 4: February Scout motors should take a, loan look for other
- 56:12Speaker 4: investors and use their cash reserves because small, business which
- 56:16Speaker 4: is the backbone of this, community, rarely if ever gets
- 56:20Speaker 4: this kind of special. Treatment they just foot the bill
- 56:24Speaker 4: along with the rest of the taxpayers for these big.
- 56:26Speaker 4: Corporations so that's what he was saying. Publicly, meantime he's, like,
- 56:31Speaker 4: hey you guys got a lot of. Money MAYBE i
- 56:34Speaker 4: could tone down the rhetoric and, perhaps you, know you
- 56:38Speaker 4: could slide a little bit of that cash my.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Way, now his wife is.
- 56:41Speaker 4: The diversity officer for The Junior league Of, columbia which
- 56:45Speaker 4: has received checks from The Richland County Council february of every.
- 56:51Speaker 3: Year Every.
- 56:52Speaker 4: February put it in like, clockwork twenty, grand twenty five,
- 56:57Speaker 4: grand twenty. Grand they just keep coming the. Checks so
- 57:00Speaker 4: that's fantastic news for. Them here we. Go this isn't
- 57:05Speaker 4: the first time we've Got peugh giving harder and taxpayer
- 57:07Speaker 4: dollars to his personal special. Interest peugh's own fraternity has
- 57:11Speaker 4: collected ten thousand dollars in fiscal year twenty twenty three
- 57:16Speaker 4: twenty twenty four.
- 57:16Speaker 3: Budget why is this fraternity getting anything From Richland? COUNTY i, mean.
- 57:24Speaker 5: How does that serve the county? Taxpayers it's it's it's.
- 57:28Speaker 3: A it's.
- 57:28Speaker 4: A it's one of the more unbelievable things that it
- 57:32Speaker 4: can be so open and nobody seems to.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Care like you AND i are.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Incensed you AND i and the people WHO i don't
- 57:39Speaker 4: know At Palmeto State watch And i've seen a couple
- 57:42Speaker 4: of you, know people ON x And facebook and, others
- 57:46Speaker 4: but it's so, quiet it's like it's not even.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Happening and Every why doesn't anybody care that you.
- 57:53Speaker 4: Have legislators that do this type of, thing and we
- 57:56Speaker 4: don't change the, rules so they at minimum have to
- 57:59Speaker 4: recuse themselves for voting on things where they're employed At
- 58:03Speaker 4: IF i was a legislator And iHeartMedia had some sort
- 58:06Speaker 4: of tax break benefit coming, UP, i as An iHeart media,
- 58:09Speaker 4: employee would, say, well that sounds like a.
- 58:11Speaker 3: Good idea help them stay.
- 58:12Speaker 4: Afloat but as a, maybe as somebody who is looking
- 58:15Speaker 4: out for the best interest of the, TAXPAYER i, MIGHT i.
- 58:18Speaker 4: MIGHT i don't know what that position would, be might,
- 58:20Speaker 4: say you know, what, like what did he say about
- 58:21Speaker 4: these small? Businesses small businesses never got these tax. Breaks
- 58:25Speaker 4: why should we give it to the big corporations Like Scout.
- 58:27Speaker 4: Motors that's a great. Question has he ever answered?
- 58:30Speaker 3: IT i think he answered it by taking employment With Scout.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Motors he's working For Scout. Motors he's giving money to his.
- 58:37Speaker 4: Wife he's also working for some of The he's working
- 58:40Speaker 4: For Allen university right.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Now where else is he working? At he's got like five,
- 58:43Speaker 3: jobs this.
- 58:44Speaker 4: Guy they were listing all of the different jobs that
- 58:47Speaker 4: he's working, at including on The Economic Development. Committee that's,
- 58:50Speaker 4: great he, apparently as The Economic Development committee is ways
- 58:55Speaker 4: THAT i can improve my economics as an. Individual so
- 58:58Speaker 4: we'll just continue to use ten taxpayer money to help
- 59:01Speaker 4: corporations that may or may not hire. Me the ones
- 59:03Speaker 4: that hire me will get more tax. Breaks that's what
- 59:06Speaker 4: it looks. Like that's that's the apparent end result of
- 59:09Speaker 4: what we're seeing at The Palmetto State Watch foundation and
- 59:12Speaker 4: their investigation into all of. THIS i hope somebody cares
- 59:15Speaker 4: Besides Christopher thompson AND. I i really, do because that's
- 59:18Speaker 4: the only way you can save the entire dang.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Thing it's save your own. Money all it's taxpayer.
- 59:25Speaker 4: Money it's all gonna implode, here collapse upon itself if
- 59:28Speaker 4: we're not, careful all, right eight oh nine On South

- 1:03:16Speaker 8: A clip of that and you are all three Women
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: who have been republicans for most.
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: Of your voting Lives Who's voting For jave clerco.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: All they also?
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Gave?
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: HIM my money.
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:03:26Speaker 11: I like him yeah he was a middle school teacher
- 1:03:29Speaker 11: In public school in texas and they started cutting all his, funding,
- 1:03:32Speaker 11: and HE said well if i, can't Change my school
- 1:03:35Speaker 11: then i'm going to need.
- 1:03:36Speaker 12: To change my state.
- 1:03:37Speaker 11: And that's so. BECOMING of a leader i want a middle, school,

- 1:03:48Speaker 11: only i'm going, to, VOTE for you often i.
- 1:03:49Speaker 12: GIVE you Some money i think republicans are having a
- 1:03:52Speaker 12: lot of moments like, that where we're saying THIS is

- 1:04:04Speaker 3: The most likely to. Protect, my KIDS name.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: Okay so i mean this is this is comical because.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: Just what, they're arguing first off the funding Was not cut,
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: for texas school kids so. That's, a total lie secondly
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: when you make the argument who is most likely, to
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: Protect My kids and james tallerico comes to your mind as?
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: For protect YOUR kids, for what i mean he's the
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: one who said it is the duty of society to
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: change the. Gender of a child it's your duty's that needs,
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: to be taxpayer funded and it needs to, happen earlier
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: The better According to james tallerco so this guy. Is
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: not common sense this Guy is all, the but interestingly
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: enough Thank You to the. Dallas express apparently newspaper they're
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: the ones who discovered.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: All three Of those. Women not republican moms this is. All,
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: well a conja well it's. Not a con.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: JOB it's, an ad, i, mean you know what does
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: everybody in a car? Commercial buy those? Cars does you
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: Know Remember years ago joe cunningham Was Running here in
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: south carolina for what is a district won and he
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: had an, Ad where he said i'm a oceanographer and
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: he had like a video of himself. Standing IN the
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: ocean and i can't Remember it was the republican candidate
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: who Would Have been WHAT katie rrington, if i remember
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: correctly or If It, was the republican party or if it.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: Was a voter group somebody sued over that because he.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: Was not An oceanographer and again i'm paraphrasing the judge
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: because the way it, came out was. Basically he's a
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: politician there is no expectancy that he will actually. Tell
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: you the truth that, Was, what the yes no he's lying.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: About being an. Oceanographer but that's, okay it's a campaign.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: You're supposed, to, lie so yes No. These people hate
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: Republicans nobody thinks that james tallerco Is a, moderate for
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: god's sake.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: So of course not but that.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Is getting some traction talks. About changing the state hees
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: changed its own image. IN the, last year, i mean
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: you know here's the. Guy who hated meat.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: He had to. Go, HAVE a, barbecue yeah.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: I mean everything about him is, different than, it was
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: you know a year and a half ago. Before HE considered, running.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: So i mean well he has been serving as, a
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: state house. Member Which, is weird in texas they only
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: have their sessions.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Like every two years.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: Which is so bizarre so that's been his quote, unquote
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: full time employment working four. Months every two, years other
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: than that his mom has been the only contributor contributor
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: to the checking account is a joint checking. Account with
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: his mother this is a man in his thirties who
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: has a joint checking. Account with his mother his mother
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: is the only one making contributions. To said checking, account
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: in other words your mom's. Paying for it all this
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: is very, similar to, uh uh you know Rape, mcbeard
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: up in maine whose only client of his oyster farming
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: efforts was his mother. And in her restaurant so they.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: Have some odd candidates it'll be very interesting To See
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: how this talla. Rico things, comes forward and again just,
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: LOOKING at those women i didn't think Any of them were,
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: Republicans to begin with but, now that the records the
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: voting records are coming out and they've Been voting. In, the,
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: democrat primaries Okay no you're not. Republican moms, after all

- 1:08:14Speaker 5: SUPPORTERS that, maybe depending i mean they're they're trying to
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: put his name on all the ballots as. Quickly as
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: they can some counties probably will. Respond, Slower than others haters.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: It's just the. Mechanics of it all and who winds up,
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: Paying for that Move. KELLY the, fairy godmother.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: I mean a judge, made a decision yesterday but we
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: weren't told how we were. PAYING for That Change i.
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: Give daniel kobel credits at least he, was realistic about
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: it because they asked him about the military ballots and
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: the absentee ballots that had. Already been, mailed, out he
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: said look this is just. For from today on we can't.
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: Go back in time if ballots have, already been mailed.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: Out so be it but, from Here on out danny ford. Will,
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: appear on, balance Well and again don't i've Never.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: SPOKEN with danny ford I don't even think I've ever, Heard,
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: DANNY ford's voice Like i don't think i've actually. Ever
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: HEARD him speak so i don't know anything about the
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: guy other than the ranfrag commissioner and lost pretty Badly.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: To that guy.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: Simpson but he seems very litigious and he seems to
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: want to be a thorn in The Side of the
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: republican party because at no point did anyone think that
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: you had statewide name recognition, going into this thing like
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: you would be a. Credible challenger to, win now that
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: again in a, very short primary season the number one
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: thing you can, have is name recognition which is why
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: people kind Of Handicapped it As Ralph norman and darlene graham.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: Were The front runners. Then Sandford got in but sandford,
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: comes with the baggage. And Everybody understood that russell fry very,
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: popular in his district the seventh district doesn't have a lot.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: Of name recognition elsewhere he's, working to fix that but he's.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Already in elected office other than you being the son
- 1:10:11Speaker 4: of a National, championship coach for clemson nobody.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Knows anything about you he was.
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: In the ag race he was the, quote unquote the
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: farmer the one who was actually, serving As A, farmer
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: versus cody simpson who was more about the bureaucratic side
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: of farming and had, served on, agricultural committees et cetera
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: who knew.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: The WAY around government.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: But I did see cody simpson owns blue jeans and all.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: His ads he had oh they're, alls WERE blue, JEANS
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: so i knew i knew. He could trust, him but
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: you know again, to the bigger point, you're paying ten
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: thousand four hundred dollars to get into a race that
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: nobody would. Expect you to win nobody would expect you to,
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: Get to a runoff nobody expected you to be, in
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: the top five to, Be honest with you lynch comes
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: in with far More Name recognition than danny, ford at
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: this point, so it you know if. You're just handicapping
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: it darlene gm suddenly shoots to The top with the
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: president's endorsement and the sympathy vote of, she lost her
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: brother so. She's the front runner Number Two. Is probably
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: ralph norman three Would. Have probably been sandford he might have,
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: even been number two but. With all the baggage, And
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: Then you know russell fry kind of, already an elected
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: office so he's going to be in the top, three or.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: Four obviously and then.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: The Rest, of them yet lynch who just ran for the,
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: statewide office of governor so he built out a team
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: and he did all. The hard leg work the rest of,
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: you ARE also rans, and i, Don't know you know
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: i'd hate to Break the News, to gale for rails
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: but you're probably. Not going to win you're probably not
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: going to get more than one, percent of the vote
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: and that will just be some. Sort Of Obstructionist VOTE
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: and danny ford i wouldn't have expected him to get,
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: more than two. Percent maybe three, percent but to me
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: this sets him up If he is what, i'm afraid
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: he is it's somebody who wants To Take. Down the
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: republican party and that's why he challenged and that's why
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: he waited till the.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Last day to file he could have. Filed a week
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: earlier he could.
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: Have also, asked for A Waiver which the republican party
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: said they were willing to give a waiver at, least
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: consider a waiver.
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: But HE never asked so i don't want to think the,
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: worst of the man but it does seem like he
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: just wants to be a thorn in The Side, of
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: the republican party which is setting him up nicely if
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: that's what you, want To Be, again used, brad huddo
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: you know like Number two or three, democrat in the
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: state in Order To.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: SUE the republican party I would imagine.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: Mister huddo would be Interested In suing the republican party
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: again after this primary to say that his client didn't
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: get fair opportunity to win because he wasn't on some
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: of the ballots and he didn't get into the mail
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: in votes and.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: All that other stuff this just just. Stinks to high heaven.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: The other, Curious, part about this Kelly is you know
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: ford was disqualified According To the state republican party rules
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: which just got Passed, last month Or, june sorry in
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: june which said that you had to vote at least in,
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: a couple of primaries.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Two of the last three or two.
- 1:13:04Speaker 5: Of the, last three you know we were talking about
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: those same Qualifications And wondering about darlene graham and that
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: that story kind of got glossed over when.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: She entered, THE race well again. I think we.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: DON'T i don't know i can't remember if WE actually
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: had the gop chair on, to TALK about IT but
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: i know. I spoke with him i don't remember if
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: it was on. Air or off, air but the bait
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: the way they looked at that was she she did
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: vote in two, of the last three because they do
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: count the runoff elections like if, You, vote right now
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: like if you have Not voted, in the republican primary
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: but you vote today through whatever the eleventh, or whatever,
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: it is, if you if you that will count as
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: A Vote IN the.
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: South.
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: Carolina gop primary uh some people were saying the fact
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: that because she did not vote in the general primary
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: but only, in the runoff primary.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: That that shouldn't count that's that Was The.
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: Argument against darlene graham and they rejected that, argument, and
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: said no no she voted in twenty twenty six, and
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: twenty twenty four.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: SO she counts again i don't have.
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: A qualm with it i actually do appreciate the fact
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: that parties want to. CONTROL who can run I think
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: that the democrats did a Great Job, of blocking bernie
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: sanders but didn't do a great Enough job. Of blocking
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: democrat socialists democrats socialists shouldn't be Allowed. To RUN as
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: democrats and i think you See some of the democrats
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: saying that go start. Your own party now if you
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: don't want to, be in our party you, don't like
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: our platform.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: You have a Different.
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: Platform than the democrats go start your own platform and
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: your own party and. Stop RUNNING in ours and i
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: think That if you're a republican you should have the
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: right to Say We. Are the republican. Party it's Our Party,
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: there's the Green Party. There's the libertarian party you can.
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: CREATE your own party I Remember was it Jim rex and.
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: Oscar lovelace or whatever they started their own party for,
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: a couple of months maybe.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: A year or two i don't remember. HOW long it
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: lasted i can't remember. The name of it. But that's it's.
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: Possible it's, NOT easy.
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: But again i think that the parties should control maybe
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: a little bit more who runs, in their own parties
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: because you. Have Your, Own platform all right. I'M running
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: along here i didn't mean to talk. ABOUT any of
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: that I had something else i was. Going to talk
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: about we'll get to. That Something Else Next On. South
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: carolina's Morning News This.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Is south carolina's MORNING news on one O three point
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: five FM AND, Five sixty am wvoc columbia and NINETY Four. To,
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: Three Wsc, charleston now, kelly Nash.
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: All right so donald trump is saying this morning that
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: even more progress has been made on The reopening Of The,
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: straight of hoar moves.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: And we could have an ANNOUNCEMENT.
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: Today, regarding that Us now this is this is AN
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: Interesting thing that cbs NEWS is reporting the us has
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: used nearly all of its global stockpile of long range
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: precision missiles During. The war with iran two sources with
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: direct knowledge of THE Matter. Have, told, Cbs News yes
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: yesterday pete hegseth had put out a tweet WITH a
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: screenshot of cnn saying, something similar in saying this. IS
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: a complete lie i don't know WHAT the media and,
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: I say the media i just. Use a general phrase
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: what do? They hope to accomplish Either you believe the defense.
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: Secretary or you don't but by, putting that, out there
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: you are in fact trying. To help the enemy. You're, emboldening,
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: the enemy yeah absolutely. Enemies multiple EXACTLY exactly and so
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: i don't know what they're hoping, to accomplish by reporting
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: whether it's fake news or even. If it's real news
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: Does this? Benefit the american people is this something that
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: we deserve and need to know that our long range
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: precision missiles may in fact be MERELY completely depleted that
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: i don't think that that Is Something that the united states,
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: Public needs to know but that is something that they want, to,
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: put out there, because as you said, it EMBOLDENED the
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: enemies and, i DON'T like it and i wish what
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: do they say you can't hate.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: THE mainstream media. Enough i. Don't know i'm trying i'm.
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: Giving, it a, shot christopher all right we'll, take a
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: quick break. Be back With More it is south carolina's

- 1:17:27Speaker 2: KELLY Nash so.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: The gop senate primary special runoff is on doors. ARE
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: open eight thirty i think most of the places we
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: said around the state vote early And Often is the
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: chicago democrats would tell you.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: Check your pulling please it's probably different for this special

- 1:18:36Speaker 4: red sea this morning.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Got it.
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: With some ballistic missiles they say that this is only
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: going to continue To escalate as the saudis try to
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: avoid the blockade and. All that other stuff there's, No
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: escape because Again, iran owns the hoothies which is about
- 1:18:54Speaker 4: three hundred and fifty to four hundred thousand Radical, nut
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: jobs and yemen and they are willing, to for their
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: cause and so they're going to just continue to attack
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: anything and everything that looks like it might be trying
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: to bring.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Oil to the world so that that was their big.

- 1:19:33Speaker 4: i oh my.
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: Gosh it it sounds like he's, Coming OFF the trigger.
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: So i don't know he said he's hopeful that today
- 1:19:40Speaker 5: we're going to.
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: GET the straight open i would love.
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: FOR it to happen i highly doubt that it's possible
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: to speak these people into any, Kind Of rationale Anyway
