- 0:00SPEAKER_00: There is not one single problem you are experiencing right now that cannot on some level be explained through your relationship to safety.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: But here's the part I don't hear talked about enough.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Safety can heal you.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: And safety can also keep you trapped.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Pain is inevitable.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Suffering is optional.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Episode three.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Three feet from gold.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Now inhale.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: And exhale.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Smile, breathe, and feel that love.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: That innate love that you can just switch on whenever you want.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Are you aware of this?
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Have you been using this human function?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Switch?
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Love.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Here we are.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I love you, thank you.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the Show Me How Good It Can Get podcast.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Today I'm talking to the part of you who is tired.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Tired of constantly being on this seeking path.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Tired of overthinking absolutely everything.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Tired of feeling and knowing there's still another flipping level to uncover.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Especially after knowing that you've read copious amounts of self-help, self-development, and spiritual books, listened to all the podcasts, all of the lectures, invested maybe more than you'd like to admit, into yourself, your business, and your vision.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: And still, in this moment, you feel like something hasn't fully clicked.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Almost like you've finally got the puzzle of your life laid out in front of you.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: You can see it, it excites you.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: You feel really fucking great about all that you've done and where you're going, but you're noticing there are still a few missing pieces that paint the whole picture and unlock that next level.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: We've got to change that name.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Started fighting the very thing my soul was desiring.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Safety, success, abundance.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And I could see that I was repeating old familiar patterns and habits, choosing contentment where I knew I wanted expansion.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Not pushing myself, not investing into myself, thinking I could just figure everything out myself.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Maybe for you it feels like there's a deep inner knowing that it's all just gonna work out, but there's some invisible conflicts within.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Something just isn't quite lining up.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Well, I have a feeling that because you're here and listening to this right now, you are much closer than you think.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: So there's an old story from the gold rush days that stayed with me for years, and the older I get, the more profound it becomes.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: It was made famous in the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: During the Gold Rush, people were leaving everything behind, chasing the possibility of completely changing their lives, freedom, a new life, massive abundance, a completely different future for themselves and their families.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Who wouldn't?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: And in this story, a man becomes completely invested in finding gold.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Like emotionally, physically, and financially.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: He starts digging.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: At first, of course, there's nothing.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: There's a bit of dirt, there's some rock, there's plenty of sweat, plenty of hope, plenty of dreams, plenty of uncertainty.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: But day after day he's drilling into the earth and wondering if he's completely wasting his time, his energy and money, wasting his life on this dream.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: A dream of finding gold.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And then eventually, boom, he strikes gold.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Well, kind of.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: He starts noticing traces of gold or tiny little flecks, but enough to make him think, holy crap, this could actually be real.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Now he's in a trance of hope.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: This can set him free.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: This is it.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: So he goes all in.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: He borrows money from relatives, he buys drilling machinery, and starts digging deeper and deeper, trying to reach the main gold vein.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: And for a while everything feels promising.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: The dream feels close.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: That breakthrough he's constantly dreaming about feels real.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: And then something happens.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: The gold disappears.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: The vein seems to vanish just completely, and suddenly every day starts looking the same again.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: He's drilling, he's waiting, he's hoping, he's doubting himself, and nothing, no breakthrough, no progress, no fucking gold.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Eventually the physical and emotional exhaustion becomes just too much.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: The limiting beliefs just start to come up like a boiling pan constantly.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'm just delusional.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Maybe everybody was right.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe this was a stupid idea.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: If it hasn't happened yet, maybe it's never gonna happen.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Fuck, I've wasted so much money.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: I've wasted all these years.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: The man simply cannot tolerate the uncertainty any longer.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: So finally, feeling absolutely defeated, he quits.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: And as he quits, he knows that winners never quit.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: And quitters never win.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: But he's done.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: He sells the drilling equipment for the you know next to nothing, and he walks away feeling like a complete failure.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: But the man who buys the equipment does something interesting.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Instead of blindly carrying on drilling, he gets some expert advice.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: A mining engineer studies the land, the rock formations and like the fault lines and the patterns underneath the surface.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: And the conclusion the previous owner had stopped drilling three feet from gold.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: All that blood, sweat, tears, time, money, energy, dreaming.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: And he walked away three feet from gold.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I think about that story every time I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Because I genuinely believe if this is resonating with you as you hear these words right now, you might be so close to a massive breakthrough.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: So close to freedom, so close to healing, so close to total clarity, so close to allowing and receiving abundance, so close to finally becoming who you already know you are.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And the sad part of this story is that people can quit right before something changes.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: It's usually when they quit, and that's usually when things are about to change.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes they simply reach the point where something inside starts, like screaming, ah, this isn't safe anymore, abort mission, retreat, retreat.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: So they retreat into familiarity, distraction, old identities, old patterns, old stories, even when those old stories fucking hurt.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Safe.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: That's the word.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about this one word that is everywhere right now.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Never heard this word so much in my entire life, and I still think it's deeply misunderstood.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Safe.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: You cannot get away from hearing this in therapy, in healing, and transformation circles now.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: People have finally realized it's all about being and feeling safe.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna make a big statement here.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: I believe there is not one single problem you are experiencing right now that cannot on some level be explained through your relationship to safety.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Do you believe everything is happening through you and for you and not to you?
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Do you believe you co-created everything in your reality?
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: That's a that's a leap.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying everything that everything that's difficult can just be simply breathed away.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, I'm talking about your relationship with what's happening, your relationship with yourself, uncertainty, change, pain, success, love, money, expansion, and what happens inside you when any of those things start moving.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Because when you are truly present, when you're not trapped in loops of the past, overthinking the future or constantly anticipating outcomes that usually never even happen, your entire experience of reality changes.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: You need to truly feel safe within yourself, within your relationships, within the money in your bank, within your business, within your body, and ultimately within the unknown.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: But here's the part I don't hear talked about enough.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Safety can heal you, and safety can also keep you trapped.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Safe is a two-fold conversation that nobody talks about.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: You have to simultaneously hold both polarities because ultimately being and feeling safe in the here and now is the goal, right?
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Peace, presence, liberation, freedom from suffering.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Pain is inevitable.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Suffering is optional for those that reach a liberated state of being.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: But if you have dreams to change your identity, grow your business, become your highest expression of self, step into abundance, visibility, love, and impact.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: If you want to do what you haven't yet done, you have to leave the familiar.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: And that does not always feel safe.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: This is the paradox.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: The subconscious mind does not care what is good or bad for you in the way your conscious mind does.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Its primary job is survival.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: It wants to keep you alive.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: It will do anything to keep you alive.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: And one of the ways it attempts to do that is by returning you to what it already knows.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: The familiar.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: So you can find yourself returning to familiar struggle, familiar under-earning, familiar anxiety, familiar relationship patterns, familiar emotional chaos.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Even down to the familiar mug that you choose to use for your tea or coffee.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: You are running these programs over and over again, whether you're conscious of it or not.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Because the nervous system can cling to what's familiar, even when it hurts, especially when it hurts.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: And that can be confronting to hear, but good.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: This isn't a surface level podcast.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Some of this will be triggering, but I can tell you now, after 25 plus years of research, the greatest teachers I've had on my journey have been the ones that initially triggered me and made me think, oh, what's this guy talking about?
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, what's she talking about?
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: No way, no way.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: And then it stuck with me because they were right.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: And because it was unfamiliar to hear.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: I, you know, you hear the same stuff over and over and over again.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: But when someone expands your mind, it's not always easy.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: It's not always an easy jump.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: It can be confronting.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: You can start noticing those moments where you keep returning to pain and asking yourself, why do I keep doing this?
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And suddenly you realize, oh, I know this, I recognize this, I've survived this before.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: And this is why so many people mistake subconscious protection for laziness, procrastination, or lack of discipline.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: A lot of resistance can be protection in disguise.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: What looks like procrastination can be protection.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: And confusion is another massive one.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Being confused about what you want can sometimes be pretending you don't know what you want because you never really choose.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: You never really have to find out whether you can do it or not.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: I even remember a comedian said he noticed patterns like just before he'd go on stage, he'd eat the food that you'd never normally eat, like a big slice of pizza.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: And on some level, he knew that if he messed up, he could blame it on the pizza because he wasn't quite on his game, and that was something he didn't normally do.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: So he'd eat that pizza anyway, and it wasn't until he recognized these patterns, oh, it's like sabotage, self-sabotage, that we're completely unaware of it until you're aware.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: And once you're aware, it's just it becomes comical.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, look at what my being is trying to do to keep me safe.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: We don't like failing.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: We don't like feeling bad.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: So we create stories, problems, excuses, confusion, delays, all to avoid the possibility of getting it wrong.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: And sometimes getting it wrong is the very thing that makes you better, sharper, more dialed in, more authentic.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: I'll give you a hilarious example.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: My friend once told me he was working and he was thinking about having a little break so he could go to the shop and buy himself a chocolate bar.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: He was genuinely excited about this tiny little mission.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: You know, he's working in London, it's busy, and he's he's there tapping away at his computer thinking, hmm, what chocolate bar shall I have when I finally get a moment?
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: What will I have?
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Then the time comes and he leaves his desks.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: His desks?
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Who is this guy?
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: He leaves his desk, he walks to the shop in anticipation, and he gets there, and there's a huge selection of chocolate.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: He grossly underestimated the selection of chocolate.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: So now he's looking left to right, imagining all the different options.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: Maybe this one, oh no, maybe that one, oh, back and forth, back and forth, oh this, oh back and forth.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Then the overthinking kicks in.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Ah, what if I what if I get it wrong?
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: What if I regret this choice?
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, thought about this for too long now.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, I need to get it right, I've got to get it right.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Then the embarrassment kicks in because he's been standing there for so long trying to choose a chocolate bar.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: The pressure, the pressure starts to build.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: And eventually he turns around, he walks out the shop and goes back to work with nothing.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Insanity.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: But people do this with their whole lives, with their relationships, their business, creating content, investments, opportunities, their passions, their dreams.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Having nothing can feel safer than risking getting it wrong.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: And that's how deep this goes.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: We stay where things feel predictable, logical, known, familiar, safe.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Even if we're unhappy there.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: And then you get close to the life you actually want and retreat.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe your ideal client lands in your DMs and suddenly you respond from a place of need instead of confidence.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: You get close to the opportunity and you procrastinate.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: You overthink, you create chaos, you disconnect, you delay, you go back into the old pattern.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Because part of you is trying to protect an identity it has known for years.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: An unknown equals unsafe.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: So you literally have to leave one level of safety to discover another.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: You leave the reality you already know, your current business, your current bank account, your current visibility, your current relationships, your current experience of yourself, and you enter a new one, new clients, more money, greater visibility, more responsibility that feels good.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Maybe new people, new problems, new opportunities, a better life, a bigger life.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: And that's the part I find fascinating.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: We spend so much time trying to feel safe that sometimes we accidentally make a prison out of what feels familiar.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Your current income can become familiar.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: Your current visibility can become familiar.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Your current audience can become familiar.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Your current relationship with success can become familiar.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: And then you say, show me how good it can get.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, but how good are you actually willing to let it get before you start reaching for the familiar again?
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Because eventually you have to let go of what's comfortable, the same identity, the same thoughts, the same emotional patterns, the same behaviors.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I was sharing in my membership recently that I made a reprogram for wealth audio.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: Wrote it out, I recorded it, I edited it, and then when I listened to it, the quality wasn't good enough.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: I'd done it in another room, I thought the sound would have been better, and it was just worse.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: So in that moment, the moment I heard it and realized, oh, this is not as good as it can be, delete.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: And then straight again, just straight back through the process of doing it better.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: And I knew in that moment, because it taken me so long, that would mean I would have to sacrifice my workout.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: And it wasn't a conversation, it was like priorities.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: This has to be done, this has to be done to a quality that is at least good as I can get it right now, and that's it.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: And years ago, I might have been like, oh no, oh no, why?
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: All of that bullshit.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: I don't put my mind and body through that anymore.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: It was what it was, it is what it is, it will be what it will be.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: Live from this space and get there quicker.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: Yes, we've processed what we need to process, but picky battles, you know, see people shouting at inanimate objects, and they're basically showing you how unconscious they are.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: Nothing changes if nothing changes.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: And eventually you go through the discomfort, through the fear, through the unknown, through what can feel like the death of an old identity.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: And you can come out the other side of the wave and realize the unknown was the doorway, the triggers are the guides, the portal.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: That trauma, that pain, that suffering can become a gift if you can reach that level of acceptance.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Of course, above acceptance, you can play with forgiveness and love if you want, but really acceptance is all you need.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: That stops the cycle of suffering.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Pain is inevitable in life.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Of course, suffering is optional.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: And again, that's gonna piss you off if you if you're not ready, if you're not ready to hear that.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Even if resilience and Strength comes from the pain and the suffering.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: That is a huge win.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And so much of what you've been asking life for was waiting there already.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: The aligned clients, the deeper love, the peace, the abundance, the freedom, the version of you who doesn't automatically retreat every time life begins expanding.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: So we stop worshipping comfort.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Comfort is lovely for a moment, but if you make your entire life about remaining comfortable, you can end up sitting on the sofa watching somebody else on TV experiencing your dreams.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: I know this because I've lived it.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: I've done this.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: I've worked bar jobs for more than a decade.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: I wasn't making any real money, but I knew that world.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: That was safety.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: There was safety in knowing it.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Addiction was familiar.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: There was something safe in tapping out and temporarily having no responsibility.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: Burnout could even become familiar because on some level there is always something I could point at and say, that's why I can't do it.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: It's because of that.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: I had the thought, oh fuck it, I might as well just get a real job then.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: And underneath it, I knew, no, you just have to figure this out.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: We both know, and that's me talking to myself, we both know you're not gonna get a real job.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: I would never be satisfied working for someone else, helping them create their dream.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: And there's absolutely nothing wrong with helping someone create their dream if that's what you want.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: But that's that's not what I want.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: I want to create my own story, I want to build my own journey, I want to impact the lives of the many, and do it in the comfort of my own home at my own pace.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Right now I'm wearing like my favorite cardigan and like my big comfy socks, and I'm really relaxed, and like this is just an extra part of my job that I do just for the love, just because it might reach more people.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: This isn't a duty, this isn't a chore.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: This all comes from love.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Love for the job and the life that I've chosen and created for myself.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: No alarm.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Create my own days.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Wear whatever clothes I choose to at work.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I'm just sat in shorts.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: I've created this beautiful life despite some of the things I've had to go through.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Both can be true, both can exist at the same time.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: I've had people laugh at my dreams to my face.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: I've held myself back from visibility.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: And many moons ago I looked at people and thought, who am I compared to them?
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Maybe my work is just a bridge to them.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: And eventually I learned to flip that.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: They aren't evidence that I can't, they're showing me what's possible.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Perspective.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Put on those new perspectives because somebody else being further ahead doesn't have to diminish you.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Let them expand your idea of what a human being can create.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Then get back to your life and do the fucking work.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: I started over my business multiple times.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: When I first started, the only path I knew was to go into the corporate world, make loads of money, and teach everyone to meditate.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: I would walk into these corporate spaces and it just felt so alien to me.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Like my whole being was saying, This isn't your place.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: Abort.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Retreat, retreat, retreat.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: And I just didn't feel connected to that world.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: And I just don't enjoy those environments, those rooms.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: It just feels so soulless to me.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: It's just not my world.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: And then I thought about doing in-person workshops and then maybe eventually one day retreats.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: But it just wasn't the calling.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: So I kept pulling the thread.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: I kept learning and growing and filtering out who I didn't want to serve and becoming clearer and clearer on who I did.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: Starting again, start again, start again.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Succeeding, failing, refining, listening, growing, failing, succeeding.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: Until eventually, boom, there they were.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: Heart-led, high performing business owners who already are making an impact and know there's another level available.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: More expansion, impact and money and freedom, aliveness.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: And this is where something else clicked for me.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: I hadn't found my people by continually becoming someone else and pretending.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: I'd found them by continually becoming more of myself, taking off the masks, being authentic, embodying what I teach.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: And that's the connection between what we talked about in the last episode and this one.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: Pull the thread, keep pulling that thread.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: And when you finally find that thread, don't drop it because the external evidence hasn't arrived yet.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: I spiritually came out because I knew when I was about 15 that I was probably gonna become this guy.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: I knew it.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: I knew it was gonna come and get me at some point.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: It was inevitable.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: You know, like the beads, the nose ring, the dreadlocks.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: It was it was all there, it was all happening, and now I'm sitting here talking about chakras and gurus, consciousness, energetics.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: Ah, it got me.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: It well and truly got me.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: But back then I was into punk rock.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: I kept a lot of this side, all of this, to myself, in secret.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Tightly capped lid.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: Over the years I'd play with it.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: I'd unscrew the lid slightly.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: I'd meditate longer.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: I'd practice my pranayama.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: I'd play with consciousness.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: I'd read these books at night when nobody was around.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Then nope.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: Screw that lid back on.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Until eventually I didn't.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: I spiritually just came out.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: This is me.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: This is all of me.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: And I give zero fucks about how it was received.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Because how anyone perceives me is none of my business.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: It's their business.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: How anyone perceives you is none of your business.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: It's their business.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: And the funniest thing, I was terrified of losing the self I knew so well.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Except that self I was terrified of losing was an alcoholic, an addict, cynical, depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, lost, and far from fucking happy.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: But I knew him.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: I recognized him.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: There was familiarity there.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: Ah what the fuck?
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: I was holding on to an identity that was hurting me because I knew how to be him.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: So perhaps that's worth asking yourself right now.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: What identity are you terrified of leaving behind?
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: What if the next level of your life requires becoming someone your current mind and body don't fully recognize yet?
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: How good could life get if you stopped running back continuously?
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Because there's another way we stay safe that is especially relevant if you're listening to this podcast.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Seeking.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: Some people have been working on themselves for 15 years, for 30 years, but they're accidentally becoming addicted to seeking.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: At some point, the work becomes avoiding the work.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: People keep consuming because consuming feels safer than becoming.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Another book, another podcast, another teacher, another modality, another course, another breakthrough, another missing puzzle piece.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: And I love this stuff.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: I've spent years reading it, studying it, experiencing it, living it.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: And eventually there comes a point where you don't need another breakthrough.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: You need embodiment.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: Maybe the next breakthrough isn't something else you need to discover.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Maybe the breakthrough is finally allowing yourself to live everything you've already discovered.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And asking, show me how good it can get.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Show me how great it can get.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Show me how amazing it can get.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: Smile.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: Repetition.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: This is where things like consciously smiling, breathing, auto-suggestion, repetition, presence, and embodiment became so important in my life.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: Because eventually I realized I didn't need another idea.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: The ideas will always come.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: I needed to live the ideas that had already changed me again and again and again.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: Until I wasn't trying to remember who I wanted to be.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: I was being him.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna leave this thread hanging here because we'll go deeper into this over time.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Repetition is one of the most powerful things I found for making a new way of thinking and being feel increasingly familiar.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: Auto-suggestion became a way for me to consciously decide what I wanted to keep feeding my mind instead of endlessly allowing the old story to repeat itself.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Breathe became an anchor back into my body in the present moment.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: Smile became a tiny interruption, a little reminder.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: Hey, come back here.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Come back to the smile, dude.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: You're activating your mind-body connection, telling your body it's safe when you smile, when you breathe, when you feel love.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: Because you can.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: At will.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: You have that choice.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: Now are you smiling?
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: Are you breathing?
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Are you feeling love expanding in your heart space right now?
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: Are you?
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: And if you're not, can you allow it?
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: Can you receive this right now?
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: This feeling, this love for yourself.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Embodiment, that's the goal.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: It's the difference between knowing something intellectually and it becoming real.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: It's the difference between someone regurgitating information they've heard, they've learned, and somebody walking into a room and you can feel that they live it.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: You can know everything about confidence and still hide away.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: You can know everything about abundance and still operate from scarcity.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: You can know everything about presence and spend your entire day somewhere other than here and now.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: Eventually you have to be it.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: And ultimately, I believe we're here to realize ourselves, self-realize, self-realization, to know who we are and what we're here to do.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: Whether you think that's purpose, a calling, or your choice, what are you going to accomplish in this incarnation of life?
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Then it's self-actualization.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: Make that dream happen no matter what.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Get the job done.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: And that's as far as I want to take this today because I don't want this podcast to be another thing that you have to just consume.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: I want it to activate something that's already within you.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: So slow down right now.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: Come back to your body and breathe.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: Slowly, consciously, deeply.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: Where in your life are you stopping three feet from gold?
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: What future are you simultaneously asking for while resisting emotionally?
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: Giving the universe and yourself, your environment mixed signals?
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: What identity are you terrified of leaving behind?
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Where have you mistaken familiarity for truth?
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: How much success can you actually allow?
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: How much love?
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: How much money?
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: How much visibility?
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: How much joy?
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: How much freedom?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: Right now, in my current reality, we're, you know, five minutes' drive from my mother-in-law.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: We're looking after her, full-time carers.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: I'm part-time, Hannah's full-time.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: So the the weekends are out, it's just like we haven't had a weekend off for two years, I think it is.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Up until now, we haven't been able to fly anywhere or go anywhere too far.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: And on paper, there's no freedom there.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: But I am more free than I've ever felt in my entire life.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: I've created this world, I have this incredible job, I have these amazing aligned clients.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: I get to be in a band and create music, record it and share it.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: I have this amazing wife that I can talk about anything with, explore ideas, and I have all this nature all around me.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: And if I wanted to, I could walk really, really far in incredible nature as long as I was back for dinner time.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty free.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: It's pretty amazing.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: And this isn't forever, this is just now, and I'm aware of that.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: How fucking good are you actually willing to let it get in your life before you retreat back to the same old familiar?
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're not being asked to find another answer right now.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're being asked to stay.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: Stay with your vision.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: Stay with the version of yourself you said you wanted to become.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Stay when the evidence just isn't there yet.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: Stay when somebody doesn't understand you.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: Stay when somebody else appears further ahead than you.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Stay when your old identity says, Oh, come back, come back.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: We know this place.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: And you answer no.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: I've been there, I've done that.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: Show me how good it can get.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: And who are you saying this to?
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: You're saying this to yourself.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: Yes, you can say it to God, Allah, Buddha, nature, universe, whatever you want, but ultimately you're saying it to yourself, from yourself.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: You're not externally praying, oh show me how good it can get.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: You're saying, show me how good it can get.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: You're looking in the mirror even better and saying, Show me how good it can get.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: I know sometimes it feels just impossible to figure all of this shit out.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: You look around, you know, your friends or people that you admire, and somebody feels just so much further ahead, they've got more clients, they've got more followers, they've got more money, they've got more stuff, they've got the house and the more certainty, maybe more confidence, they've got, you know, they look like they've got the whole thing figured out.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: And maybe they are further ahead.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Let them show you what's possible.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Let somebody else's expansion expand your idea of what's available in this life.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Then come back to your lane, your vision, your thread, and double down on you.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: Because you're listening to this right now.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: I have a feeling you're way closer than you think.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: Don't walk away from three feet from gold.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Don't go looking for another map when deep down you already know where you're going.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Don't retreat just because life starts getting bigger than the version of you that's been familiar.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Stay, stay with it, keep going and ask.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: Show me how good it can get.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: From here.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Love, health, wealth, success, freedom.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Show me how good it can get.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: Love, health, wealth, success, freedom.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: Show me how great it can get.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: Love, health, wealth, success, freedom.
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: Show me how fucking amazing it can get.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: And if you're listening to this thinking, okay, Ali, I'm ready to stop seeking and actually live this.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: That's exactly why I created the show me how good it can get membership.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: It's where we go deeper into this and actually live it together.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Oh dude, it's unbelievable.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: The community alone of all of these amazing, powerful people sharing their insights and their wins and their support.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: There's three weekly drops with trainings and meditations and healing.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: And then there's a space where you can request your blocks and your limitations, and I'll weave that into the trainings.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: And then you also get access to all of my courses and these incredible audios that I've created for you.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: I basically create a space that's so awesome that it makes no sense to not be in it.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: If you're a heart-led, high performer entrepreneur who wants to take it to the next level, if you want in, DM me, show me how good it can get on Instagram or TikTok.
