- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat where we have.
- 0:04Devotional conversations rooted in Scripture and relevant for
- 0:07today, March 23rd. Courage for the heavy.
- 0:12Days. Some days feel heavier than
- 0:14others. You wake up already tired.
- 0:18Your heart feels full, your thoughts feel loud.
- 0:20And even simple things seem harder than they should.
- 0:24Maybe it is. Stress, disappointment, fear,
- 0:26loneliness, pressure. Or a battle.
- 0:28You cannot fully explain. Heavy days can make you feel
- 0:32weak, but they can also become places where you experience the
- 0:36strength of God in a. Deeper way Proverbs chapter 12
- 0:39verse. 25 says anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but
- 0:43a good word makes him. Glad that is.
- 0:46Such an honest picture. Anxiety has weight.
- 0:49Worry has weight. Fear has weight.
- 0:52But so does encouragement. A good word can lift a burden.
- 0:56It can bring light into a dark moment.
- 0:58It can remind a. Tired heart that.
- 1:00It is not alone then Psalm. Chapter 30. 5 verse one says
- 1:05contend. O Lord, with those who.
- 1:07Contend with me, fight against those who fight against me.
- 1:10David does not pretend he is fine.
- 1:13He brings his struggle straight to God.
- 1:16And in judges. Chapters 4 to 5.
- 1:18Deborah and Barack. Face a real battle, but they
- 1:21trust God step. Forward in courage and later
- 1:24sing because he gave. Victory.
- 1:26That is important because courage is not pretending the
- 1:29day. Is easy, courage is.
- 1:31Choosing to trust God in the middle of the heaviness.
- 1:35It is bringing your anxious heart to Him instead of carrying
- 1:37it alone. It is letting his words speak.
- 1:40Louder than your. Fear it is.
- 1:42Taking the next. Faithful step, even if your
- 1:45knees. Are shaking while.
- 1:46You take it. And maybe one of the strongest
- 1:48things you can do on a heavy day is not to hide.
- 1:51Talk to God, honestly. Let someone trustworthy
- 1:55encourage you. Speak a good.
- 1:57Word to someone else too, sometimes God.
- 2:00Lifts our hearts. By letting us become part of
- 2:02lifting another person's heart. You may feel weighed down right
- 2:06now, but you are not abandoned. God.
- 2:08Sees the pressure, the tears, the.
- 2:10Questions and the battles you have not even put into words.
- 2:14He is not far from you on Heavy. Days he is.
- 2:17Near He is strong, he. Is able to fight for you.
- 2:20Steady you and carry. What feels too heavy for you to?
- 2:22Carry alone heavy days, do not get the final.
- 2:25Word God does. Let's pray, Heavenly Father.
- 2:29Thank you for being near when my heart.
- 2:31Feels heavy. You see every worry, every fear.
- 2:34And every burden I carry, help me bring my anxieties to you
- 2:37instead of holding them alone. Fight for me where?
- 2:41I feel weak. And fill me with courage to take
- 2:43the next step in faith. Use your word and the
- 2:45encouragement of others to lift my heart in Jesus name, Amen.

- 4:31Contend with me, fight against those who fight against me.
- 4:35Take hold of. Shield and buckler and stand up

- 4:42salvation. Let.
- 4:44Those who seek. After my soul be disappointed
- 4:46and brought to dishonor, let those who plot my ruin be turned
- 4:50back and confounded. Let them be.
- 4:52As chaff. Before the wind, Yahweh's Angel
- 4:54driving them on, let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh's
- 4:58Angel pursuing them. For without 'cause they have.
- 5:00Hidden their net in a pit for me.
- 5:02Without 'cause they have dug a. Pit for my.
- 5:04Soul let destruction. Come on him unawares.
- 5:07Let his net that he has hidden catch himself.
- 5:10Let him fall into that destruction.
- 5:12My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh.
- 5:15It shall rejoice in His salvation.
- 5:17All my bones shall say. Yahweh, who is like you, who
- 5:20delivers? The poor from him who is too
- 5:21strong for him? Yes, the poor and the needy from
- 5:24him who robs him. Unrighteous witnesses rise up.
- 5:28They asked me about things that I don't know.
- 5:30About they reward me evil for good to the.
- 5:32Bereaving of my soul, but As for me when they were sick, my
- 5:36clothing. Was sackcloth I?
- 5:37Afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own
- 5:41bosom. I behaved myself as though it
- 5:43had been my friend or my. Brother, I bowed.
- 5:46Down mourning as one who mourns his mother, but in my.
- 5:49Adversity, they rejoiced. And gathered themselves.
- 5:52Together, the attackers gathered themselves.
- 5:54Together against me and I didn't know it, They tore at me and
- 5:57didn't cease. Like the profane mockers in
- 6:00feasts, they gnash their teeth at me.
- 6:02Lord, how long will you look on Rescue my soul from their
- 6:05destruction? My precious life.
- 6:07From the lions I will give you thanks.
- 6:09In the great assembly I will praise you among many people.
- 6:13Don't let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over
- 6:16me. Neither let those.
- 6:17Who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.
- 6:20For they don't speak peace. But they devise deceitful words
- 6:23against those who are quiet in the land.
- 6:25Yes. They open their mouth wide
- 6:26against me. They said.
- 6:28Aha, aha. Or I has seen it.
- 6:30You have seen it, Yahweh. Don't keep silent, Lord.
- 6:33Don't be far from me. Wake up.
- 6:35Rise up to defend me, my God, my Lord.
- 6:38Contend for me. Vindicate me, Yahweh, my God.
- 6:40According to your. Righteousness.
- 6:42Don't let them gloat over me. Don't let them say in their
- 6:45heart, aha, that's the way we want it.
- 6:47Don't let them say we have swallowed him up.
- 6:50Let them be disappointed and confounded.
- 6:52Together who rejoice. At my calamity, let them be
- 6:55clothed with shame and dishonor, who magnify themselves against
- 6:58me. Let those who favor my
- 7:00righteous. Cause.
- 7:01Shout for joy and be glad. Yes, let them say continually,
- 7:05may Yahweh be. Magnified, who has pleasure in
- 7:07the prosperity of his. Servant, my tongue shall talk
- 7:10about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.
- 7:13Judges Chapters. 4:00 to 5:00. World English Bible the children
- 7:18of Israel again did that which. Was evil in Yahweh's sight.
- 7:21When Ehud. Was dead.
- 7:23Yahweh sold them into the hand of Jab and king of Canaan, who
- 7:26reigned in Hazer, the captain of whose army was Sisra.
- 7:30Who lived in? Hirosheth of the Gentiles, the
- 7:32Children of Israel. Cried to Yahweh.
- 7:34For he had 900 Chariots of iron, and he mightily oppressed the
- 7:38children of Israel for 20 years now.
- 7:40Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, judged.
- 7:44Israel. At that time, she lived under
- 7:46Deborah's palm tree between Rama and Bethel in the Hill Country
- 7:50of Ephraim, and the children of Israel came up to her for
- 7:53judgement. She sent and called Barek, the
- 7:55son of Abenom out of Kadesh Naphtali and said to him hasn't.
- 7:59Yahweh, the God. Of Israel commanded.
- 8:02Go and lead. The way to Mount Taber and take
- 8:05with you 10,000 men of the children of Naphtali and of the
- 8:07children of Zebulun. I will draw to you.
- 8:10To the river Kishan Sisra. The Captain.
- 8:12Of Jabin's army, with his Chariots and his multitude.
- 8:15And I will deliver him into your hand, Barek.
- 8:18Said to her. If you will go with me, then I
- 8:20will go, but if you will not go with me, I will not.
- 8:23Go, she said. I will surely go with you.
- 8:26Nevertheless, the journey that you take won't be for your
- 8:28honor. For Yahweh will sell.
- 8:30Saisra into a woman's hand, Deborah arose and went with.
- 8:33Barrack to Kadesh. Barrack called Zebulun and
- 8:36Naftali. Together to Kadesh. 10,000 men
- 8:39followed him, and Deborah went up with him.
- 8:42Now Heber the Kennite had separated himself from the
- 8:44Kennites. Even from the.
- 8:46Children of hobab Moses, brother-in-law, and had pitched
- 8:49his tent as far as the oak in Zononem, which is by.
- 8:52Kadesh, they told Saisra that. Barack, the son of Abenom, had
- 8:56gone up to Mount Taber. Saisra gathered together all his
- 8:59Chariots. Even 900 Chariots of iron and
- 9:02all the people who were with him, from Hirosheth of the
- 9:04Gentiles to the river Kishan. Deborah said to Barack, Go for
- 9:09this is the. Day in which?
- 9:10Yahweh has delivered. Saisra into your hand.
- 9:13Hasn't Yahweh gone out before you?
- 9:15So Barack went down from Mount Tabor and 10,000 men after him.
- 9:19Yahweh, confused Saisra. All his Chariots and all his
- 9:22army with the. Edge of the sword before Barack.
- 9:25Saisra abandoned his chariot and fled away on his.
- 9:28Feet, but Barack pursued the Chariots.
- 9:30And the army to Hirosheth of the Gentiles, and all the army.
- 9:34Of Saisra fell by the edge of the sword there was.
- 9:37Not a man left. However, Saisra fled.
- 9:39Away on his feet to the tent of Yale, the wife of Heber the
- 9:42Kennite. For there was.
- 9:44Peace between Jabin the King of Hazer, and the House of Heber
- 9:47the Kennite. Yale went out to meet Saisra and
- 9:49said to him, Turn in my Lord, turn into me, don't be afraid.
- 9:53He came into her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
- 9:57He said to her. Please give me a little water to
- 9:59drink for I am. Thirsty.
- 10:02She. Opened a container of milk and
- 10:03gave him a drink and covered him.
- 10:05He said. To her stand in the door of the
- 10:07tent, and if any man comes and inquires of you and says, Is
- 10:10there any man here, you shall say no then Yale.
- 10:14Heber's wife. Took a tent peg and took a
- 10:16hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the
- 10:19pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground
- 10:22for he. Was in a deep sleep.
- 10:23So he fainted and died. Behold as Barack pursued Saisra
- 10:27Yale. Came out to meet him, and said
- 10:29to him, Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek.
- 10:32He came to her and behold. Sisra lay dead.
- 10:35And the tent peg was in his temples.
- 10:37So God subdued. Jabin the king of Canaan before
- 10:40the children of Israel. On that day, the hand of the
- 10:43children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the
- 10:46king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
- 10:50Then Deborah and Barack, the son of Abenom, sang on that day,
- 10:53saying. Because the leaders took the
- 10:55lead in Israel. Because the people offered.
- 10:58Themselves willingly be. Blessed Yahweh here you.
- 11:01Kings give ear you Princess, I even I will.
- 11:04Sing to Yahweh. I will sing praise to.
- 11:06Yahweh, the God of Israel. Yahweh.
- 11:08When you went out of SER. When you marched out of the
- 11:10field of Edom, the earth trembled.
- 11:12The sky also dropped. Yes, the clouds dropped water.
- 11:16The mountains quaked at Yahweh's presence, even sign at the
- 11:19presence of Yahweh. The God of Israel.
- 11:22In the days of Shamgur the son of Anath.
- 11:24In the days. Of Yale, the.
- 11:25Highways were unoccupied. The travelers walked through
- 11:28byways, the rulers. Ceased in Israel they ceased.
- 11:32Until I, Deborah arose, Until I arose a mother in Israel, they.
- 11:36Chose New Gods. Then war was in the gates.
- 11:39Was there a shield or spear? Scene among 40. 1000 in Israel.
- 11:43My heart is. Toward the.
- 11:44Governors of Israel. Who offered themselves?
- 11:46Willingly among the. People bless Yahweh, speak you
- 11:50who? Ride on white donkeys, you who?
- 11:51Sit on, Rich. Carpets and you who walk by the.
- 11:54Way. Far from the noise of Archers in
- 11:56the places of drawing water. That they will rehearse Yahweh's
- 11:59righteous acts, the righteous acts of His rule in Israel.
- 12:02Then Yahweh's people went down to the.
- 12:04Gates awake, awake. Deborah, awake.
- 12:07Awake. Utter a song.
- 12:09Arise, Barrack. And lead.
- 12:10Away your captives. You, son of Abenome.
- 12:13Then a remnant of the nobles and the people came down.
- 12:16Yahweh came down for me against the mighty.

- 12:34They rushed into the valley at his feet by the.
- 12:36Watercourses of Ruben there were great.
- 12:38Resolves of heart. Why did you sit among the
- 12:40sheepfolds? To hear the whistling for the
- 12:42flocks. At the.
- 12:44Watercourses of Ruben there were great searchings of heart.
- 12:47Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships?
- 12:51Asher sat. Still at the haven of the sea
- 12:53and lived. By his creeks, Zebulun was a
- 12:55people that jeopardized their lives to the death.
- 12:58Naftali also on the high. Places of the field.
- 13:01The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at
- 13:04tonic by the. Waters of Megiddo.
- 13:06They took no plunder of silver from the sky.
- 13:09The stars fought from their. Courses they fought.
- 13:12Against Saisra, the river Kishan swept them away.
- 13:15That ancient river, the river Kishan, my soul March on with
- 13:18strength. Then the horse hoof stamped
- 13:21because of the prancing, the prancing of their strong ones.
- 13:24Curse, Maraz, said Yahweh's Angel.
- 13:26Curse bitterly. Its inhabitants because they
- 13:29didn't come to help. Yahweh to help Yahweh.
- 13:31Against the mighty. Yale shall be blessed.
- 13:33Above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite.
- 13:36Blessed shall she be. Above women in the tent, he.
- 13:38Asked for water. She gave him milk, she brought
- 13:41him butter in a lordly. Dish, she put.
- 13:43Her hand to the tent peg and her right hand to the workman's
- 13:46hammer with the hammer. She struck Sisra.
- 13:49She struck through his head. Yes, she pierced and struck
- 13:52through his temples. At her feet he bowed, he fell.
- 13:54He lay at her feet. He bowed.
- 13:56He fell where he bowed. There he fell down dead through
- 14:00the window. She looked out and cried.
- 14:02Seisra's mother. Looked through the lattice.
- 14:04Why is his? Chariot so long in coming.
- 14:06Why do the wheels of his Chariots wait?
- 14:08Her wise ladies answered. Her.
- 14:10Yes, she. Returned answer to herself.
- 14:12Have they not found? Have they not divided the
- 14:14plunder? A lady 2.
