  Speaker 1: Now, tonight's show is a little different than a lot

  Speaker 1: of the shows that we've done. It's a whole group

  Speaker 1: of people. Instead of like one person or a couple

  Speaker 1: of people, there's, I believe, four people on the show tonight.

  Speaker 1: And it's called the Disableds Tour. And let's talk a
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: little bit about the name and why you guys call
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: it that.

  Speaker 3: Well, we are a group of Minnesota-based disabled comedians. Everyone
• 0:49
  Speaker 3: is either mentally and or physically disabled from something.

  Speaker 2: And most of us are pretty different. Not everyone can
• 0:58
  Speaker 2: make the show tonight, but we've got a deaf guy.

  Speaker 3: We've got a blind guy. We have a guy in
• 1:04
  Speaker 3: a wheelchair from cerebral palsy. And a couple of us
• 1:07
  Speaker 3: are just cuckoo bananas. I had to come up with
• 1:10
  Speaker 3: the name of a group and that just stuck in
• 1:13
  Speaker 3: my head. And I said, how about this, guys? And
• 1:15
  Speaker 3: they're all like, yeah, OK, let's do this.

  Speaker 2: I love it.

  Speaker 1: Now, you said that not everybody in the group is
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: going to be there. There's four of you tonight. How
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: many are there total?
• 1:23
  Speaker 2: There are six core members.

  Speaker 3: And then we have special guests that come in summer break.

  Speaker 2: Fairly new at comedy and.
• 1:31
  Speaker 3: Uh we just actually our last show we had someone
• 1:34
  Speaker 3: who came to one of our shows this summer as
• 1:37
  Speaker 3: a fan and he's non-verbal and he actually has his
• 1:40
  Speaker 3: own radio show uh the computer obviously speaks for him
• 1:44
  Speaker 3: but he asked if he could uh try it out
• 1:46
  Speaker 3: and we gave him five minutes the last show and
• 1:48
  Speaker 3: it was very good and now a friend of his
• 1:51
  Speaker 3: a young woman who's also non-verbal in a wheelchair she
• 1:55
  Speaker 3: wants to try it too and she sent me a
• 1:57
  Speaker 3: little clip of what she came up with.
• 1:58
  Speaker 2: And it's solid stuff. So we're actually growing as we
• 2:03
  Speaker 2: go on. I love that.
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: Well, it's really cool. And I am so excited for
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: the show tonight. And anybody that wants to join us

  Speaker 1: can come out and join us. And we're at a

  Speaker 1: place called The Grain Bin. It's the back room of
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: the Red Eye Bar on North Cliff Avenue in Sioux Falls.

  Speaker 1: And one of the gentlemen has already been there because
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: he was there like a month and a half ago
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: for a different show. And that's when he was saying, hey,
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: you should have the whole crew come here. And then
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: we connected, and the rest, as they say, is history.

  Speaker 1: And tonight is the night. And I know you've already
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: got some fans here, because I had people reaching out
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: to me asking details about the show. And they said,
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: I've got to get there and see this. These guys
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: are really good. So I'm excited for the show as well.

  Speaker 2: I've been doing this since the 1900s.
• 2:44
  Speaker 3: I've taken some time off for medical reasons a few times.
• 2:47
  Speaker 2: But I don't know how many shows I've done. It's
• 2:50
  Speaker 2: been a lot. But with this group, it's been.
• 2:54
  Speaker 3: The most fun, the funniest, and most ridiculous shows I've
• 2:57
  Speaker 3: ever been a part of. Every one of them is
• 2:59
  Speaker 3: just all-around entertaining. And we haven't had any bad reviews yet.

  Speaker 3: People just love the show. And I do, too. I
• 3:05
  Speaker 3: couldn't be happier with the way it works.

  Speaker 2: And you know how it is.

  Speaker 3: I mean, it's hard enough to get a group of
• 3:10
  Speaker 3: five or six comedians who, A, all get along, and.

  Speaker 2: There's not any drama, and our acts all work together,
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: and everyone's funny. It's just hard to do. And I just.
• 3:22
  Speaker 3: happened to stumble upon these guys randomly around Minneapolis-St. Paul
• 3:28
  Speaker 3: and put them in a group message and said, hey,
• 3:30
  Speaker 3: you guys want to start a group and do this together?
• 3:33
  Speaker 3: And immediately every one of them said, yeah, let's do this.
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: Well, we are excited to have you touch down in
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: Sioux Falls, South Dakota tonight. Have you performed in Sioux
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: Falls in the past?
• 3:42
  Speaker 2: I did maybe a year or two ago.
• 3:45
  Speaker 3: I did, I can't think of the name of it,
• 3:47
  Speaker 3: just outside of town, but they do the monthly contest.
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: Okay, yeah. So would that have been in tea back
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: when it was bosses over in tea?
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: Yes, that's it.
• 3:56
  Speaker 3: Yep.
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: And that facility is now got a new name. It's
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: called the Dakota Gathering. And there's some comedy that's coming
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: back to that. And there's there's all kinds of fun
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: comedy things happening in Sioux Falls. And Like I said,
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: we're excited to have you here. And what are the

  Speaker 1: names of the other gentlemen? So there's going to be
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: four people total, and it's you and who else?

  Speaker 3: It'll be Raymond Joseph, who was in Sioux Falls earlier
• 4:19
  Speaker 3: this year.

  Speaker 2: And we're going to have Whitney Haverstock.

  Speaker 3: And Dakota Fornes and we actually have we're gonna bring
• 4:27
  Speaker 3: in a local guy who's blind named Rob.

  Speaker 1: Rob Mo yeah I'm excited to have him work with
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: you guys that's really cool.

  Speaker 3: Yeah he's gonna swing in because we have a blind
• 4:36
  Speaker 3: guy and I don't believe he's gonna make it he's
• 4:38
  Speaker 3: also a musician which makes me feel extremely untalented when
• 4:43
  Speaker 3: he could do comedy and he's a musician and blind
• 4:46
  Speaker 3: So I don't know if he's going to make it
• 4:47
  Speaker 3: because of his band does a lot of Halloween-type gigs.

  Speaker 3: So we got Rob coming in. I'm hoping we can
• 4:54
  Speaker 3: just start things off in Sioux Falls and then come
• 4:57
  Speaker 3: back again maybe next spring or summer and do a
• 4:59
  Speaker 3: big event.
