Congo just received 70,000 doses of the Ervebo Ebola vaccine — a major move in the fight against what officials call the fastest Ebola outbreak ever recorded. While Ervebo is licensed for a different strain, early research hints it might still help against the current Bundibugyo virus, which has no approved treatments and is spreading rapidly outside monitored contacts, causing nearly half of cases to be fatal.
