- 1:30Speaker 3: That's l E E E l C HI Radio at
- 1:33Speaker 3: gmail dot com. And again, a lot to go into tonight.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I've got a couple of great guests, one at the
- 1:38Speaker 3: bottom of this hour, one at the bottom of the
- 1:41Speaker 3: next hour, to talk about one law enforcement and the
- 1:45Speaker 3: other some religious freedoms that may have been infringed upon.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We'll get into that a little bit later on.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I know, we can talk about the straits of war moves,
- 1:55Speaker 3: we can talk about the blockade, we can talk about
- 1:57Speaker 3: anything and everything that is happening in Iran, but I
- 2:03Speaker 3: want to start with what's happening here at home. And
- 2:05Speaker 3: I want to start with corruption and corruption in Congress.
- 2:08Speaker 3: And I've talked about this a lot.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I talked about it actually a couple of times this
- 2:11Speaker 1: week on my own morning show.
- 2:13Speaker 3: But I mean, I don't know what's going on in Washington,
- 2:19Speaker 3: but the sexual misconduct scandals are now. It's exploding. It's
- 2:23Speaker 3: one after another. You almost hear one every single day.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And you know, over the history of this country, it's
- 2:28Speaker 3: been rampant down in DC. And it's another damning indictment
- 2:36Speaker 3: of the moral rot that.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Is festering in Washington. Two congressmen this week.
- 2:42Speaker 3: And there's another story today that popped out that there's
- 2:45Speaker 3: an unnamed senator under review. But the two congressmen this week,
- 2:50Speaker 3: one Republican, one Democrat announced plans to resign amid the
- 2:55Speaker 3: credible accusations.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Of this sexual misconduct with staffords. Rep.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Tony Gonzales Texas Swallwell, California. And they join a long,
- 3:07Speaker 3: long partisan parade of elected officials who abuse their positions
- 3:12Speaker 3: of power, pray upon their subordinates, and desperately try to
- 3:18Speaker 3: cling to office after it all happens, and they only apologize,
- 3:22Speaker 3: or they only seemingly apologize when they're caught.
- 3:26Speaker 1: There's not an out of character in.
- 3:29Speaker 3: So many of these folks who inhabit those hallowed halls
- 3:33Speaker 3: in Washington, DC.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's not leadership, it's entitlement. Run them.
- 3:37Speaker 3: UK politicians from both parties believe they can get away
- 3:41Speaker 3: with anything affairs, harassment, assaults, because well, the system's rigged,
- 3:47Speaker 3: and it's rigged to protect the elite. Just as you know,
- 3:52Speaker 3: House rules explicitly ban sexual relationships with staffers, but nobody enforced.
- 3:59Speaker 3: There's also, if you don't know this, there's a huge
- 4:03Speaker 3: chunk of cash that's just laying there that is being
- 4:07Speaker 3: used to help defend Congress folks when they are accused
- 4:12Speaker 3: of these kinds of things. Legal fund that's set up
- 4:16Speaker 3: by the taxpayers. It's taxpayer dollars to protect those Congress
- 4:19Speaker 3: folks who are sexually inappropriate, and ethics investigations drag on
- 4:27Speaker 3: for months, victims suffer, taxpayers again foot the bill.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It's a joke.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Enough is enough, I mean, Americans, all of you listening
- 4:38Speaker 3: to me must demand better leaders with integrity, moral courage,
- 4:42Speaker 3: commitment to values, family values. Aren't you sick of self
- 4:47Speaker 3: serving opportunists to treat Congress like a personal playground?
- 4:53Speaker 2: I mean.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Gonzalez was a three term lawmaker, married father of six.
- 4:58Speaker 3: He admitted in March having an affair with a former
- 5:01Speaker 3: a staffer who's then went on to kill herself died
- 5:05Speaker 3: by suicide. He says it was a lapse in judgment.
- 5:11Speaker 3: They never take real, real blame. But people were outraged.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Pressure mounted. He's gone, but it's the classic Washington invasion.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And you know he evoked faith. Right, God has a
- 5:27Speaker 1: plan for all of us. Can I get a man?
- 5:30Speaker 1: But still.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Still he tried to wiggle his way out. They're all phonies.
- 5:37Speaker 3: They're all big fat phonies.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And now.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Swallwell, he of course he planned to resign amid far
- 5:52Speaker 3: more explosive claims. I mean, every day it gets worse
- 5:55Speaker 3: for this guy. He drugged one of his staffers a drug,
- 6:00Speaker 3: one of his peers and raped.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Her allegedly allegedly allegedly allegedly right, but three other women
- 6:16Speaker 4: allegedly he solicited nude photos from the graphic messages. Over
- 6:19Speaker 4: fifty former staffers signed a letter supporting the accuser and
- 6:22Speaker 4: demanding Swallwell's exit.
- 6:24Speaker 1: He is in a world of blank and it's good.
- 6:28Speaker 1: He should go to jail, should be in belly chains
- 6:31Speaker 1: if it's all proven to be true.
- 6:35Speaker 3: But the bigger picture, aside from from these two is
- 6:42Speaker 3: it's again a culture. We're living in a culture where
- 6:47Speaker 3: power corrupts. And again I've said this, this is one
- 6:50Speaker 3: of my favorite quotes. But power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts,
- 6:54Speaker 3: and absolute power, well, power corrupts, and absolute power crups
- 6:57Speaker 3: absolutely and politicians deny, deflect all the issues. They give
- 7:03Speaker 3: these vague apologies. They reconcile with their God and hope
- 7:08Speaker 3: the storm passes, and they hope we forget ethics. Pros
- 7:11Speaker 3: have no teeth, they're slow, they're opaque, and taxpayers funded.
- 7:16Speaker 3: All Yet what do we get. We get the cesspool,
- 7:18Speaker 3: We get the rot again. We get the swamp that
- 7:21Speaker 3: is Washington, and you get it. You know, it's every
- 7:26Speaker 3: day of the week. I you know, I was talking
- 7:28Speaker 3: about this again this week. What universe do I live in?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:34Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I feel like I'm a
- 7:36Speaker 1: cool guy. I feel like I got I'm plugged in.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Is everybody out there in positions of power just banging
- 7:43Speaker 3: away at each other?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Is that what's going on? Am I missing it? Is
- 7:47Speaker 1: that what's happening?
- 7:48Speaker 5: It seems like that's what's happening, because it seems like
- 7:52Speaker 5: it's it's one person after another after another, and you know,
- 7:55Speaker 5: the farther we go back to more people we find
- 7:57Speaker 5: out that are caught up in this cesspool, and.
- 8:00Speaker 3: We are the company that we keep exactly. And when
- 8:04Speaker 3: Congress harbors those who violate just basic decency and some
- 8:11Speaker 3: form of family values, it erodes the republic.
- 8:14Speaker 6: It just does. I mean, this case this week's not
- 8:19Speaker 6: an apparition. It's a twenty year pattern of what's going on.
- 8:22Speaker 6: More than that, I mean, I just went back twenty years.
- 8:26Speaker 6: But you want to hear some of the people in
- 8:27Speaker 6: the last twenty years who have found themselves in under
- 8:31Speaker 6: the microscope because of some sexual perversion Okay.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Rep.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Mark Foley two thousand and six sent explicit emails to
- 8:39Speaker 3: underage mail pages.
- 8:41Speaker 1: He then resigned.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Jim Gibbons, Nevada allegedly threatened sexual assault on a waitress.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Senator Larry Craig arrested for lude conduct in an airport restroom.
- 8:54Speaker 3: He pled guilty but stayed. You've got Tim Mahoney, Florida
- 8:58Speaker 3: admitted affairs with staffords, including placing a mistress on a payroll,
- 9:03Speaker 3: and he tried to stay. Eric massa Democrat in New York,
- 9:08Speaker 3: admitted to groping male staffers.
- 9:09Speaker 1: He resigned.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Mark Solder admitted an affair with a staffer, resigned. Anthony
- 9:15Speaker 3: Wiener sent the explicsively explicit photos to women of his
- 9:19Speaker 3: Wiener resigned. Later he's imprisoning. I guess he's in prison
- 9:25Speaker 3: for sexting a minor. Thank God, but there's rape. Res Rep.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Blake Farrenhold of Texas used taxpayer funds to settle a
- 9:34Speaker 3: staffer harassment claim.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Al Franken we know about the groping of women.
- 9:38Speaker 3: John Connors faced staffer accusations of advances. He resigned. Trent
- 9:45Speaker 3: Franks press staffers on surrogacy. Tim Murphy pat Meehan Madison
- 9:50Speaker 3: called her a Republican North Carolina accused.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Of multiple assaults and miss condo and he ran and lost.
- 9:57Speaker 1: How do you get.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Accused of all these things while you're in office and
- 10:00Speaker 3: then still have the stones gall I guess is better
- 10:06Speaker 3: to run and think you're going to get elected.
- 10:09Speaker 1: But some people do.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I mean twenty twenty two Van Taylor extra material affair,
- 10:16Speaker 3: Tony Gonzalz. We just heard about that one. I swear,
- 10:19Speaker 3: I mean, I could dig a little deeper and find
- 10:21Speaker 3: you a ton more because hundreds more state lawmakers in
- 10:25Speaker 3: whatever state you're listening to me in have faced accusation
- 10:28Speaker 3: since twenty seventeen. A lot of times it's hidden from voters.
- 10:34Speaker 3: They're settlements outside the.
- 10:36Speaker 1: View of the media.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Although the media doesn't do a job anyway. The media
- 10:40Speaker 3: is too busy. I don't know what they're busy doing,
- 10:42Speaker 3: but they they ain't busy being the media. Not a
- 10:45Speaker 3: righteous media, not an honest media.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Now I get it.
- 10:47Speaker 3: In some of these smaller places, they just don't have
- 10:49Speaker 3: the bodies to go out and cover things.
- 10:51Speaker 1: But we all know the slant of the media is
- 10:54Speaker 1: completely biased.
- 10:56Speaker 3: So I think both parties are to blame. I think
- 10:59Speaker 3: this is a clear presentation of the ugliness. It's the
- 11:04Speaker 3: human ugliness, and when you get into positions of power,
- 11:10Speaker 3: people are just prone to abuse it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's just that simple.
- 11:13Speaker 3: And character matters, family, faith, fidelity, oath, decency.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Without it, without everything's hollow. Man, Everything's hollow. All right.
- 11:24Speaker 3: My name is Lee Elsie filling in for Wayne Allen Root.
- 11:26Speaker 3: War Zone the Gateway Pundit. You can watch it. You

- 16:57Speaker 3: Soldier dot com and fill out the contact form that
- 17:00Speaker 3: is Lost Soldier dot com. I just went on a
- 17:03Speaker 3: bit of a rampage about the ugliness in Washington and
- 17:08Speaker 3: how everybody is banging away at each other and learning
- 17:11Speaker 3: to Bobbitt just was quoted in the Washington Post thing
- 17:16Speaker 3: that what is everybody just really horny down here in Washington.
- 17:20Speaker 3: This is the same woman, by the way, that I
- 17:21Speaker 3: was caught with roping in public at the movie theater
- 17:25Speaker 3: or at the at the Broadway show or something like that.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I don't know. If you're in a glasshouse, don't throw
- 17:30Speaker 1: stones all right.
- 17:33Speaker 3: We are going to talk after the bottom of the
- 17:35Speaker 3: hour about religious protections for citizens, and then a little
- 17:39Speaker 3: bit later on about vaccine protections. A couple stories here
- 17:43Speaker 3: that interest me. Trump says forty five hundred seat arena
- 17:46Speaker 3: will be built for UFC fight at the White House.
- 17:49Speaker 3: The President has detailed new plans for a UFC fight.
- 17:53Speaker 3: The league is planning on White House grounds in June,
- 17:57Speaker 3: and apparently they're putting this thing up, forty five hundred
- 18:00Speaker 3: seat arena. And I guess it's going to be taken down,
- 18:04Speaker 3: but it's UFC Freedom to fifty is going to be happening. So,
- 18:09Speaker 3: by the way, you know what, speaking of two.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Fifty, I mean, are you feeling it?
- 18:14Speaker 3: I was old enough first nineteen seventy six, right when
- 18:17Speaker 3: we turned two hundred. Yeah, and I remember red, white
- 18:20Speaker 3: and blue everywhere. I remember there was a lot of
- 18:23Speaker 3: pride in America. There was I don't feel it right now.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I don't know why.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I just don't feel like we've got that same enthusiasm.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Maybe two fifty is and as important as two hundred,
- 18:36Speaker 3: maybe three hundred, we'll get.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Back to that red, white and blue. But I just
- 18:42Speaker 1: maybe it's me.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Maybe it's just you know, me wanting and wishing it
- 18:47Speaker 3: to be like it once was. Maybe we just live
- 18:50Speaker 3: in a in a republic now where that sense of
- 18:53Speaker 3: patriotism is not what it once was. Maybe that's just
- 18:58Speaker 3: as simple as it says that simple, because I do
- 19:00Speaker 3: remember as a kid man, everything was was red, white
- 19:03Speaker 3: and blue. Everywhere you went, every store, every convenience store,
- 19:06Speaker 3: every every drug store, every supermarket.
- 19:09Speaker 1: There was you know, a box here in a box there,
- 19:11Speaker 1: red white and blue. Grab a flag for a buck
- 19:13Speaker 1: or whatever it was. I mean, it's just everywhere. I mean,
- 19:16Speaker 1: do you see that where you live now? I don't
- 19:18Speaker 1: see it. I don't.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I don't see it, you know, to the same level
- 19:22Speaker 3: as I remember it for sure. All right, let's see Minnesota, man,
- 19:26Speaker 3: you see this? In fact, the Minnesota council, state council
- 19:30Speaker 3: or state House, they voted against investigating Waltz and his corruption.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Do you see that happened the other day?
- 19:39Speaker 3: Like every Democrat voted no, we don't want to, we
- 19:41Speaker 3: don't want to give a go ahead to investigate the fraud,
- 19:44Speaker 3: the Somali fraud in Minneapolis.
- 19:47Speaker 1: How is that possible?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Like, how do you how do you become so corruptive
- 19:52Speaker 3: moral values that in your own state where the somalis
- 19:56Speaker 3: they ripped off the taxpayer to.
- 19:58Speaker 1: The tude of at least nine billion dollars.
- 20:02Speaker 3: The legislators, the elected officials, the Dems vote no, we
- 20:07Speaker 3: don't want to We don't want to proceed with investigations.
- 20:10Speaker 1: We don't want to give that the green light. That
- 20:12Speaker 1: just tells me that they're involved. No other way around it, right.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I think, Yeah, all right, we're gonna talk next to
- 20:18Speaker 3: Christopher Heally vaccines, religious exemptions and religious freedom.

- 22:28Speaker 3: in for Wayne. I've been filling in for Wayne for
- 22:29Speaker 3: about seven years, and I've actually had actually longer than
- 22:32Speaker 3: that now, it's probably want like ten years. But I've
- 22:36Speaker 3: had this gentleman on a number of times. He's been
- 22:38Speaker 3: on my morning show here in Connecticut a million times.
- 22:41Speaker 3: He's brought him on the national stage a few times.
- 22:44Speaker 3: He is with the Connecticut Catholic Conference and a great
- 22:47Speaker 3: friend of the show. So please welcome Christopher Heally, Chris Sierriike,
- 22:50Speaker 3: he's lost again today.
- 22:54Speaker 10: I only want to go into it.
- 22:59Speaker 1: What is going on? To the to the angels. The
- 23:01Speaker 1: angels are terrible, well.
- 23:04Speaker 10: And you can't pitch, you throw it down the middle.
- 23:06Speaker 10: That's what happens, right.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yes, I guess so.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Well, they've resurrected Mike Trout, that's for sure.
- 23:10Speaker 1: He's a beast right now.
- 23:12Speaker 10: He's an amazing talent.
- 23:14Speaker 1: All right.
- 23:14Speaker 3: So, I know there are a couple of topics you want
- 23:16Speaker 3: to talk about, things that maybe are a pertinent more
- 23:19Speaker 3: to Connecticut than the country, but not necessarily.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I mean, we can take this to all fifty states.
- 23:24Speaker 3: But you know what you want to start with this,
- 23:27Speaker 3: give me, give me the point you want to start,
- 23:29Speaker 3: and I know vaccines in the second segment, but right
- 23:32Speaker 3: now you want to go where.
- 23:34Speaker 11: Well, the issues that are facing Connecticut, I think are
- 23:37Speaker 11: facing other states where the secular order is on the
- 23:41Speaker 11: on the March, and here in Connecticut, there are two
- 23:44Speaker 11: pieces of legislation that are going to be debated and
- 23:48Speaker 11: voted on next week in the Connecticut legislature in Hartford.
- 23:51Speaker 10: One has to do with.
- 23:54Speaker 11: Homeschooling and the rights of parents to homeschool as well
- 23:59Speaker 11: as the rights of people who are getting a Catholic
- 24:02Speaker 11: or a private education and their privacy and their ability
- 24:06Speaker 11: to manage the lives of their children as it relates
- 24:09Speaker 11: to their education. So this legislation would now say that
- 24:13Speaker 11: a parent one parent impact on even both parent. One
- 24:16Speaker 11: parent decides to take a child out of public school,
- 24:20Speaker 11: they have to go and register them with the state.
- 24:23Speaker 11: Now you'd say, well, what's the big deal there, Well,
- 24:25Speaker 11: the problem is they're registering themselves and their children with
- 24:30Speaker 11: the Department of Child and Family Services, which is an
- 24:33Speaker 11: agency that is designed to protect people from to protect
- 24:38Speaker 11: children from abuse, lots of times obviously from their parents
- 24:42Speaker 11: or in laws or whoever. But they are an enforcement
- 24:44Speaker 11: agency that deals with actual acts of abuse that are
- 24:49Speaker 11: reported the people that are abused or by third parties.
- 24:54Speaker 11: So now we have a situation where innocent to parents
- 24:58Speaker 11: who are just trying to provide it education that's not
- 25:01Speaker 11: public education are now in a list, and that list
- 25:05Speaker 11: itself could be a violation of federal privacy laws.
- 25:08Speaker 10: But that doesn't stop the proponents from moving forward because
- 25:11Speaker 10: they want to have an.
- 25:12Speaker 11: Idea where supposedly everybody is. But there are other flaws
- 25:15Speaker 11: in the bill that don't make any sense. So for example,
- 25:18Speaker 11: when reporting, only one parent needs to show up to report.
- 25:23Speaker 11: So if the whole idea of this is to keep
- 25:25Speaker 11: an eye on children, they can't obviously see if there's
- 25:28Speaker 11: a child involved, or two children involved, or what their
- 25:30Speaker 11: state is. So they're passing something that inherently puts the
- 25:36Speaker 11: onus on a parent to comply or to submit their
- 25:40Speaker 11: identity and their information with the state.
- 25:43Speaker 10: And we all know how want a bang up job.
- 25:46Speaker 11: The state or even private industry do in protecting people's privacy.
- 25:49Speaker 11: These things get hacked all the time. It also raises
- 25:53Speaker 11: the question of now that you're in the DCF information system,
- 25:58Speaker 11: does that provide them the ability to make spot inspections
- 26:01Speaker 11: of parents or homeschooling. The other issue is people that
- 26:06Speaker 11: get a Catholic education or a private school education. Those
- 26:11Speaker 11: when you go to a private or a Catholic school
- 26:13Speaker 11: in Connecticut, you are registered at that school and reports
- 26:17Speaker 11: are sent to the Department of Education, so they already
- 26:20Speaker 11: have that information, but here they're going to have it
- 26:22Speaker 11: a second time again with an agency that's not there
- 26:25Speaker 11: to offer quiet comfort. It's there to enforce child abuse.
- 26:31Speaker 10: So that's really the first real problem.
- 26:32Speaker 11: And again it gets back to the idea of the
- 26:35Speaker 11: state being omnipressant. And I would say their record in
- 26:39Speaker 11: public education in Connecticut, like many public education it's not
- 26:43Speaker 11: something to brag about. And now we're putting people that
- 26:46Speaker 11: seek alternative forms of education through the privacy grinder.
- 26:52Speaker 3: So with all that being said, they're really the checks
- 26:55Speaker 3: and balances. They don't add up to me, because tell
- 26:58Speaker 3: me what happens, Chris, when they come knocking on the
- 27:01Speaker 3: door or that you have to present what it is
- 27:04Speaker 3: that you are trying to accomplish with your son or
- 27:07Speaker 3: daughter or both and you don't meet those requirements. Are
- 27:09Speaker 3: they going to rip the kids away? Are they going
- 27:11Speaker 3: to take them? What are they going to do with them?
- 27:13Speaker 11: Let's get this is the next step, because obviously they
- 27:17Speaker 11: are going to be interested in what what they call
- 27:19Speaker 11: equivalent education is being provided, particularly the homeschoolers. The homeschoolers
- 27:25Speaker 11: came to the Connecticut Capitol twice over the last two
- 27:28Speaker 11: years with thousands of parents and their children in orderly fashion.
- 27:32Speaker 11: Only a handful of people supported this legislation, but somehow
- 27:38Speaker 11: it continues to have support, at least to the point
- 27:41Speaker 11: where it's going to be called it's a bill next week.
- 27:43Speaker 10: Now there may be changes to it.
- 27:45Speaker 11: I anticipate there will be, because there always are, but
- 27:48Speaker 11: we're not seeing anything publicly. And these legislatures scheduled to
- 27:53Speaker 11: meet Monday and Tuesday. This is supposed to be one
- 27:55Speaker 11: of their items to be decided. You know, whatever you
- 28:00Speaker 11: think of homeschooling, the various studies that have been done
- 28:05Speaker 11: on it and found it to be an extremely effective
- 28:09Speaker 11: method for people to educate their children.
- 28:11Speaker 10: But it's also more important for me rights point of view.
- 28:15Speaker 11: Parents have the right to educate their children as they
- 28:17Speaker 11: see fit and as long as they are meeting those requirements,
- 28:21Speaker 11: including homeschoolers who have to every year revalidate themselves with
- 28:25Speaker 11: the state, should be able to do that without interference
- 28:29Speaker 11: by the state or intimidation by having to be put
- 28:31Speaker 11: on a government list, and government lists rarely turn out well,
- 28:36Speaker 11: especially when they have an ill defined, undefined purpose, whether
- 28:41Speaker 11: inter spot inspections or people demanding to see work plans
- 28:45Speaker 11: or all those other stuff. And again, homeschoolers have to
- 28:48Speaker 11: provide a lot of that stuff already. So again this
- 28:50Speaker 11: is just sort of another and I hate using big
- 28:53Speaker 11: brother as an option here, but it really is just that.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Right, and this is actually born.
- 28:58Speaker 3: I think this whole round to this was born from
- 29:01Speaker 3: that terrible situation where the young girl was found killed,
- 29:05Speaker 3: you bound and killed by her two terrible parents, and
- 29:09Speaker 3: they had her home technically homeschool though though there was
- 29:11Speaker 3: no homeschooling going on right that's where it was.
- 29:15Speaker 11: There is some dispute over that this had nothing to
- 29:17Speaker 11: do with the failure of homeschooling. These parents were engaged
- 29:22Speaker 11: in heinous acts, and in fact the DCF was involved
- 29:25Speaker 11: in that. DCF has the Department of Child Family Services
- 29:29Speaker 11: about three thousands of thirty five hundred full time state
- 29:32Speaker 11: employees in their division. Now that sounds like a lot
- 29:35Speaker 11: of people, but they're all divided into different areas as
- 29:38Speaker 11: social workers, lawyers, of administrative staff. They can't begin to
- 29:44Speaker 11: even handle the cases they have now, with the resources
- 29:48Speaker 11: they have now, rather than adding thousands and thousands of
- 29:51Speaker 11: people to a list, so that.
- 29:53Speaker 10: That has not been planned for.
- 29:56Speaker 11: And in fact, the Laman administryation's own Department of Education
- 30:02Speaker 11: told the proponents of this bill that we can't accommodate
- 30:06Speaker 11: the requirements of reporting, so that is why people are
- 30:09Speaker 11: reporting to the Department of Child and Family Services. This
- 30:14Speaker 11: has a lot of problems with it, and we think
- 30:17Speaker 11: it's just inappropriate and unnecessary at this time for the
- 30:22Speaker 11: young children of the state, who should be more worried
- 30:25Speaker 11: about reading at math and English level grade level in
- 30:29Speaker 11: this nonsense.
- 30:30Speaker 3: What's the reasoning you think? I mean again, big Brother
- 30:34Speaker 3: plays a factor in it. But you know when they
- 30:36Speaker 3: come to the public and they try to explain, they
- 30:38Speaker 3: being the Democrats, Chris, what are they telling everybody?
- 30:41Speaker 1: Like, what's the reasoning behind it? What are they talking about?
- 30:43Speaker 3: They want to make sure the kids are getting an education,
- 30:46Speaker 3: and all that being said, some of the kids in
- 30:48Speaker 3: the schools here are reading five grades below where they
- 30:51Speaker 3: should be. So that's a waste of everybody's time. What's
- 30:54Speaker 3: the crux of this whole.
- 30:55Speaker 10: Well, I can only go by what they said.
- 30:57Speaker 11: They made the two instance in questions sort of as
- 30:59Speaker 11: the spark for this, and I think they just generally,
- 31:02Speaker 11: like most people in government, they want more information about
- 31:06Speaker 11: the public. They want to know where everybody is and when,
- 31:10Speaker 11: so they can do studies or they can blame people
- 31:13Speaker 11: later when things go wrong. But they're really almost setting
- 31:16Speaker 11: themselves up for failure here, given the amount of people
- 31:19Speaker 11: that will have to go through this exercise to be inconvenience,
- 31:23Speaker 11: to have their privacy scrutinizing, and quite frankly, there's a
- 31:27Speaker 11: federal law that protects children's identity in their education records,
- 31:32Speaker 11: which could be violated simply by the fact that a
- 31:34Speaker 11: state agency like DCF would be collecting and when they're
- 31:37Speaker 11: not authorized theoretically to do so. Until this legislation goes forward.
- 31:42Speaker 3: We're talking again to Christopher Heally Connecticut Catholic Conference, and
- 31:45Speaker 3: I was up there at the Capitol when these families showed.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Up, and you know, their kids are amazing. They're all
- 31:52Speaker 1: so well behaved and.
- 31:54Speaker 3: They're smart, and these are families that just they want
- 31:58Speaker 3: to box out this this terrible education system. Not terrible,
- 32:02Speaker 3: but there are some flaws in it for sure, and
- 32:05Speaker 3: they want to take control of their kids' education, and
- 32:07Speaker 3: I think it's a great thing. And like I said,
- 32:09Speaker 3: I haven't seen except for vaccines, which we're going to
- 32:12Speaker 3: talk about here in a couple of minutes, there aren't
- 32:14Speaker 3: a group of people who are more passionate about this.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Christopher.
- 32:18Speaker 11: Yeah, I think I've been a creature of the Hartford
- 32:23Speaker 11: political establishment and the state capital for almost thirty years,
- 32:27Speaker 11: and I can click off at the top of my
- 32:29Speaker 11: head some of the largest crowds we've ever had. This
- 32:34Speaker 11: homeschooling crowd is definitely in the top ten of the
- 32:37Speaker 11: years that I've been there to see master And these
- 32:39Speaker 11: were thoughtful people.
- 32:40Speaker 10: They stayed for hours.
- 32:41Speaker 11: The first time they showed up at a hearing last year,
- 32:45Speaker 11: it was I mean it was pouring rain hard for
- 32:48Speaker 11: outside the legislative I mean sheets of rain for hours
- 32:51Speaker 11: and hours and hours, and these folks stood in the rain, quietly, respectfully, testified,
- 32:56Speaker 11: and obviously it fell intoaf years.
- 32:58Speaker 10: But I think you know reasonable about this.
- 33:01Speaker 11: Sure, we need to make sure that all children are
- 33:04Speaker 11: safe and enjoying the opportunities that are presented them, but
- 33:07Speaker 11: those opportunities should be driven by the parents.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I agree, Chris.
- 33:10Speaker 3: I got to jump in because we gotta take a break.
- 33:12Speaker 3: We got to take a quick break. We'll come back.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Music is playing when we do. We'll finish up on that,
- 33:16Speaker 3: but we'll also talk about the vaccine mandate that is
- 33:18Speaker 3: out there as well. So Christopherhalley, Connecticut Catholic Conference is

- 36:53Speaker 3: Welcome back, Warzone, Wayne Allen rut Off. Tonight, my name
- 36:56Speaker 3: is Lee Elc. I am the official fill in host
- 36:59Speaker 3: for Wayne. When he is gone, he'll be back tomorrow,
- 37:02Speaker 3: I believe, so he'll tell you exactly what it was
- 37:05Speaker 3: that he was doing. Right now, I have Christopher Healey
- 37:07Speaker 3: Connecticut Catholic Conference with us, and we spent the first
- 37:10Speaker 3: segment talking about basically education in Connecticut schools. But I'm
- 37:15Speaker 3: sure the same thing is happening across the country, homeschooling
- 37:18Speaker 3: and the parents that want to be a part of
- 37:20Speaker 3: that and be proactive.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Now, you know, flip the script a little bit.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Same group of people, I think, for the most part,
- 37:25Speaker 3: people who are freedom fighters and champions of liberty. But
- 37:30Speaker 3: these vaccine mandates, Chris, can you explain that to everybody
- 37:33Speaker 3: how it's working here and how it might be working
- 37:35Speaker 3: in their stay too.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Well?
- 37:37Speaker 11: This is an interesting story because, as we know, we
- 37:40Speaker 11: have three and we have three branches of government that
- 37:43Speaker 11: try to work in a conflicting manner, sometimes on each
- 37:47Speaker 11: est as their responsibilities and duties. What's happened here in
- 37:51Speaker 11: Connecticut is that a number of years ago, legislation was
- 37:55Speaker 11: passed which took away of parents right to object under
- 38:01Speaker 11: religious grounds to being vaccinated.
- 38:03Speaker 10: There was a.
- 38:04Speaker 11: Lawsuit filed by the parents of two children. One was
- 38:10Speaker 11: of age to be grandfathered out of the new law,
- 38:13Speaker 11: meaning that child didn't have to get a vaccine and
- 38:15Speaker 11: the other child was eligible for the vaccine. Parents argued
- 38:19Speaker 11: that was an unequal treatment of their children and also
- 38:22Speaker 11: violated their religious tenants. They took the case to court,
- 38:26Speaker 11: and now the case is in the state Superior Court,
- 38:29Speaker 11: and right now most people that are watching that case
- 38:32Speaker 11: believe the state of Connecticut and Attorney General William Tong may.
- 38:35Speaker 10: Lose that case in there.
- 38:41Speaker 11: It only can happen in Connecticut, maybe, But legislation has
- 38:44Speaker 11: been proposed that will basically negate the lawsuit no matter
- 38:49Speaker 11: what the outcome. Strangers that sounds were actually having a
- 38:53Speaker 11: legislature sit in judgment of its own laws, which are
- 38:56Speaker 11: supposed to be adjudicated by the judiciary and or three
- 38:59Speaker 11: branches of government. So this law in effect says that again,
- 39:04Speaker 11: you cannot only not use a religious exemption if you
- 39:07Speaker 11: don't want to have a vaccine, but you can't even
- 39:10Speaker 11: make a claim against the state to protect that religious freedom.
- 39:17Speaker 11: It is beyond nineteen eighty four and its design. The
- 39:22Speaker 11: issue of religious freedom and religious exemptions are central to
- 39:27Speaker 11: the First Amendment and our rights as American citizens. We
- 39:32Speaker 11: in the church obviously believe that once you start getting
- 39:35Speaker 11: rid of religious exemptions for vaccines, you can start getting
- 39:38Speaker 11: rid of religious exemptions for property, for the type of
- 39:42Speaker 11: religion you practice, the schools, etc. There's no end in sight.
- 39:46Speaker 11: It's a bad precedent to do. There's no reason for it.
- 39:50Speaker 11: And I think we've seen the results of the vaccine
- 39:56Speaker 11: argument at least. I think even in whatever your position
- 40:00Speaker 11: is on it, I think it's pretty clear that people
- 40:03Speaker 11: that choose not to be vaccine vaccinated do not pose
- 40:07Speaker 11: a threat necessarily to those who are vaccinated. But whatever
- 40:12Speaker 11: the reason is, you still have a religious right to
- 40:16Speaker 11: refuse that sort of vaccination if it conflicts with your
- 40:20Speaker 11: moral principles under your religious beliefs, and that is what
- 40:23Speaker 11: this bill is trying to stop.
- 40:25Speaker 10: So we have two bills here.
- 40:26Speaker 11: The one we talked about before, we're dealing with education
- 40:30Speaker 11: and parental rights.
- 40:31Speaker 10: And here again this.
- 40:32Speaker 11: Is driven strictly by parental rights as in regards to the
- 40:35Speaker 11: vaccination of children.
- 40:37Speaker 1: To me, this is the biggest infringement.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Man.
- 40:39Speaker 3: I can't imagine you know right now. I think the
- 40:42Speaker 3: last time I looked, I mean me and you probably
- 40:45Speaker 3: got five vaccines when we were growing up, maybe before
- 40:48Speaker 3: or five, depending upon you know how old you are.
- 40:50Speaker 3: I mean now they're upton that they're talking about seventy
- 40:53Speaker 3: I mean I wouldn't give if I had a kid,
- 40:55Speaker 3: I wouldn't.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Give them seventy vaccines. That's insane to me.
- 40:59Speaker 11: Well, it may be insane to you, and some people
- 41:01Speaker 11: may want to do that. That's their right as parents
- 41:03Speaker 11: with children. But our point is, if you have rights,
- 41:06Speaker 11: and you have religious rights, those are unassailable, and the
- 41:11Speaker 11: state of Connecticut it's not. At least the first iteration
- 41:14Speaker 11: of this law decided that they were going to remove that.
- 41:18Speaker 11: There was a very large demonstration up here when that
- 41:20Speaker 11: happened several years ago. I think they had almost seven
- 41:23Speaker 11: thousand people at the capital who opposed it.
- 41:24Speaker 10: Again, it went.
- 41:26Speaker 11: Forward and the aggrieved party went to superior court in
- 41:30Speaker 11: Connecticut and the state Supreme Court ruled that this should.
- 41:33Speaker 10: Go to trial.
- 41:34Speaker 11: So our argument is, let this case go to trial,
- 41:38Speaker 11: let us see how the case resolves, and then we
- 41:41Speaker 11: know where we stand. It shouldn't be up to the
- 41:44Speaker 11: legislature now where a law that they pass is subject
- 41:48Speaker 11: to the will of the judiciary. Now seeks to invalidate
- 41:53Speaker 11: whatever that decision may be.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Christopher Healy with us, we're going to run short on time.
- 41:58Speaker 3: I want to make sure people can find out where
- 42:00Speaker 3: they can go to find out what you guys are
- 42:02Speaker 3: doing and what you're trying to protect. Is there a
- 42:04Speaker 3: website or someplace you want them to go.
- 42:06Speaker 11: Well, I don't want to hog this for my fellow
- 42:11Speaker 11: connect Catholic directors around the country, but usually if you
- 42:14Speaker 11: Google and ask for a Catholic conference in your state,
- 42:17Speaker 11: you can certainly go online and be get active in
- 42:20Speaker 11: your faith if you're a Catholic. If you're not a Catholic,
- 42:22Speaker 11: there's certainly many faith based groups out there that I
- 42:26Speaker 11: think would be more than happy to get your help.
- 42:29Speaker 11: But whatever your faith is, these freedoms that many people
- 42:33Speaker 11: have died for.
- 42:35Speaker 10: Must be protected.
- 42:37Speaker 11: And certainly, whatever the judiciary decides in Connecticut, that's going
- 42:41Speaker 11: to be the process. But we shouldn't be interrupting the
- 42:44Speaker 11: process now with extra legislative actions.
- 42:47Speaker 10: Take great process away.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Great stuff tonight, brother, I appreciate you. I have a
- 42:51Speaker 1: great night. I'll talk to you down the road for sure.
- 42:53Speaker 10: Thank you, you.

- 42:57Speaker 1: come back coming up me.
- 42:59Speaker 3: I got a big I want to talk about what
- 43:01Speaker 3: if that's coming up next?
