- 1:14Hey friends, kind of chilling when someone with that much influence
- 1:19is going on.
- 1:20And you can't help but think that some of that is in some of his creations.
- 1:25So we'll talk with Pastor Joe Shimmel, Blessed Hope Chapel,
- 1:29Seamy Valley, California, Pastor out there.
- 1:32I used to be out there and just a great man of God.

- 3:11It's a screen.
- 3:12It's a screen.
- 3:13Why should we be concerned about him?
- 3:16Why should we be concerned about him?
- 3:17Yeah, absolutely.
- 3:18He is the face um, the the face
- 3:20many young people growing up. And now many older people because they grew up with them,
- 3:23then it became the Marvel cinema. So then it took the world by storm because it's the top genre
- 3:30in movies for the last several years. It dwarfs everything else by way of comparison.
- 3:35And Stan Lee made 60 Camille appearances, 60 different movies, Marvel movies. So you can
- 3:40you see his influence. And he was influenced over the main influence over the characters and what
- 3:45went on there at Marvel. But in this video, we, you know, this expose, we explore his world view
- 3:52and what he's teaching and what he's communicating in his characters and so forth. And we look at
- 3:59some of the things that meant most to him. So you can get even more chilling. You mentioned the word
- 4:04chilling when you see the idea that he pervades regarding his own conviction upon others is probably
- 4:11coming through in comics. Well, that's most certainly true because we show a close friend of his
- 4:17who would have lunch with him periodically for a number of years and stating in that very context
- 4:23that Stan said he is not that he was an atheist. A lot of people think Stan Lee was an atheist.
- 4:27He says Stan Lee believed in God. He just believed that God was lesser than perfect and that God
- 4:34wasn't a perfect God. And Stan Lee had more of a gnostic view of God. The gnastics were the
- 4:41second and third century. And even the latter part of the first century, when you read first John
- 4:45and other New Testament books, we see that they, they, John identifies them as having the spirit
- 4:50of Antichrist. And they were posed, they believe in God, the creator, but they believed he was a
- 4:55weak, imbecilic kind of God that we needed to be, you know, delivered from. Stan Lee had a view
- 5:03like that of God. And it's certainly, and we can talk about it. It certainly came through in his
- 5:07comics because the superheroes became the heroes and God, as he, as he basically depicts him,
- 5:14is diminished. Well, I'm going to give the website marveldcexposed.com. You can go to goodfight.org
- 5:23or you can go to marveldcexposed.com. I want to quote you, Pastor Joe Shimmel, let you
- 5:29expound even more. You said many leading comic book writers have admitted that they're using
- 5:35seduction manipulation, the occult, and even the Bible to influence children to view the God of
- 5:41the Bible from a twisted slant. And you say our series aims to help families recognize these
- 5:48underlying messages and equip them with a biblical response. And quote, and yet Pastor Joe,
- 5:56a lot of Christian families go to all of these movies. They're watching all these TV programs
- 6:02and they're taking in the, even though it's subtle seduction at times, sometimes it's blatant
- 6:07anti God, anti Christ. Talk to a little bit more about that. Yeah. And I want to, you know, as a pastor
- 6:14regarding pastoral world view, biblical world view, a council, I recognize the difficulty in
- 6:20bringing up our children in this culture, you know, my children are young. I kept them from a lot
- 6:24of things and they've grown up by the grace of God to all three of them becoming, you know,
- 6:28strong men and women of God now or a man, one son and two daughters. But there was a time when,
- 6:35you know, Spider-Man came out and Marvel became cinematic. I thought all these things, these,
- 6:39you know, I can check them out, you know, don't trust, but, but, you know, verify, wonder what,
- 6:45you know, is being communicated here. And I was able to take them to some of the early Marvel
- 6:48movies, but then a lot of the adult humor started being communicated. And then all of a sudden,
- 6:53I started realizing, wow, it's not from the, you know, like the first Spider-Man,
- 6:58even the first Spider-Man that was an interesting scene in there were at May, you know,
- 7:02she's being just on the verge of being destroyed. And she's right in the middle of her prayer,
- 7:06delivers from evil, but God can't deliver her. But yes, what? You know, her nephew Spider-Man
- 7:12will come through for. And I started to see that while there's a communication here that shows
- 7:17that human heroes are greater than God, ultimately. And to give you just a quick, your audience,
- 7:24a quick purview into, you know, the influence that some of these guys have that's incredibly
- 7:28nefarious. It's, it's, it's, you know, absolutely irrefutable that these guys, many of these
- 7:33have wicked agendas. And that would be, if you look at, if they just went to the comic book review
- 7:38website, which is the biggest, you know, website online regarding the most popular website,
- 7:43as far as, you know, criticizing or pumping up, you know, looking at what comics are the
- 7:48best and so forth. Every four years, they have a, a poll and they and tons of people vote on who
- 7:55the top writers are. And they go to the top 100. So every four years that switches, well,
- 8:01as of a year ago in January, just over a year ago, the two of the top guys were Alan Moore and
- 8:08Grant Morrison. The new vote came in. It's Alan Moore number one. It's called the Shakespeare
- 8:13of comic in the graphic novel. Number two is Grant Morrison. And number three is Stan Lee.
- 8:19Wow. And if you just look at these three, and I'll just say a few words about each is Alan Moore,
- 8:25the top guy, top dog there, he says he practices Satanist Alistair Crowley's magic. He says he got
- 8:31in touch with the demon of cinema. He has an underground layer. He calls, where's the ring with
- 8:35the big serpent on it. He calls himself a gnostic. And he says that if you communicate with these
- 8:39demonic entities, you just have to treat them right. So you're just not destroyed by them.
- 8:43But they help him right. The son number two guy, Grant Morrison, same deal in the Crowleyism,
- 8:48Crowley's magic and so forth. We show a depiction. We show him actually speaking to a bunch of
- 8:53people and a bunch of young people screaming their braces off and older people as well about his
- 8:58writing the ability. And we also show a clip of his buddy, a former BBC or former, I should say,
- 9:06British presenter for British television saying, yeah, Grant shoots candy coated bullets into
- 9:12the brains of children. And when they hit the brain, they get the kids, he gets the kids nice and
- 9:17blanked up. Well, we show Grant Morrison, the number two guy speaking in front of a huge picture
- 9:22of Alistair Crowley with 666 under it. And saying, I got into Crowley. How do you think I can
- 9:27write like this? You guys need to buy his books. That's the number two guy. Number three guy,
- 9:31which is what our next video is on, which of course is Stan Lee. Same deal. He made a character who
- 9:38had two different movies since now called Dr. Strange. And Dr. Strange is the latest incarnation
- 9:45of a guy that started out as Dr. Droom, not Droom, but Droom, rhyming with Broom, who became Dr.
- 9:51Druid and then Dr. Strange. And we show that when he was called Dr. Droom, same origin story,
- 9:56basically, he's the spit in image of a Satan's Alistair Crowley. Then they change his look. But he
- 10:01has the same history. He uses eye on the triangle as a symbol. He begins as this British guy. He's
- 10:07a magician and weds. He's trimissuses him with Western witchcraft. And I show like 20 different
- 10:12parallels. But then I show the evidence because the guy named Steven Engelberg, he's one of the top
- 10:20writers ever for Marvel and DC. He became a member. He did Dr. Strange for a number of years.
- 10:26And he did. Even though Dr. Strange was developed by Steve Dicco, along with Stan Lee,
- 10:35we show pictures of this guy dressed in his warlock outfit became a member of Crowley's OTO.
- 10:41Actually wrote Jimmy Page about how about we use the mansion overlooking Loch Ness that you bought
- 10:47where L. S. or Crowley lives so we can have our OTO meetings in Europe, even though he's an American.
- 10:51And we actually we actually play him on a podcast, a Crowley podcast where it starts off with,
- 10:56you know, their music and somebody saying, do what that will. She'll be the whole of law.
- 11:01And then he laughed with the guy about how he snuck in Crowley's magic and stuff and teachings
- 11:05into the character of Dr. Strange. So that guy was developed a lot, but we show where
- 11:10Stan Lee said we got to bring the sorcerer back and so forth. And that's one of the things we focus
- 11:15in in the movie. There's a lot of other things that are just as powerful in it, but maybe we
- 11:19can cover some of those as well. Wow. Just the history on those three guys. Just amazing.
- 11:24And to think about Crowley and his influence on Led Zeppelin and all that, I know you've done a lot
- 11:29on music. They sold their souls for rock and roll. Again, there's a plug. And it's free, by the way,
- 11:35if somebody goes to the good fight outdoor site, we have that three hour version. We have a 10 hour
- 11:39version, but three hour, which is the average version is free for everybody. Fantastic. There it is.
- 11:44You guys much must check that out. They sold their souls for rock and roll. That is one of the
- 11:50things, the tools that God used to bring my wife, Rosanna, to a savings college of the Lord Jesus
- 11:58Christ and God used your ministry. Thank you, Jesus. I want to read Ray Comfort, living water's
- 12:05ministry said, Pastor Joe Shimmel's documentaries are always cutting edge, timely and incredibly
- 12:11informative. Marvel and DC's war on God does not disappoint. And I want to ask you, Joe, with all
- 12:19the garbage, the stuff that Hollywood puts out, that the music industry puts out, that commercials,
- 12:27that everything in culture, there's a lot that you could write about. What, I mean, what made you
- 12:33focus on Marvel and DC, the comics and the movies? What made you decide to go this route?
- 12:40That's a great question, Dave. Only because it was kind of strange, because that's the last
- 12:45thing I thought I'd be doing an expose on, right? I didn't think that they sold their souls
- 12:48for rock and roll. You know, I did Hollywood's war on God, which shows narcissism within the
- 12:52movies and so forth. And I did a lot of expose through the years, and pastoring full time is full
- 12:57time. You know, so I've tried to be very picky about what I poured my heart into research-wise.
- 13:02And so, you know, I do podcasts, a couple times a week, pastors, messages, a couple times a
- 13:07week. So I was like, Lord, I didn't want to actually do it. So what happened was, and I knew very
- 13:13little about comics just being upfront, you know, I saw some of the movies and so forth. Remember
- 13:18some of the comics when I was a kid, very little bit. So one day, I was no longer going to,
- 13:24you know, taking the kids early on. But that thought, you know what, there's too much, it looks like
- 13:28there's an inversion going on where the bad characters start to look, or the good, or the hero
- 13:36is kind of nebulous morally. It's not really communicating, you know, good, you know, good godly
- 13:42morals to my children. And sometimes it seems like it's subversive. So I got away from them.
- 13:47These comics, right? I thought, okay, I'm not going to take them to superhero movies. And they
- 13:51got a little bit older and, you know, they make their own decisions as they get older and so forth
- 13:54in their adults and so forth. But so I was like, you know what? But I'm not going at the same time,
- 14:00I don't know enough to condemn the whole thing. I just, you know, when you got Hollywood writers,
- 14:05you know, you got to be concerned because you're going to need a worldly worldview quite often.
- 14:09We just took that standard right there. So brother, there was a Infinity Wars movie coming,
- 14:15yeah, came out and they were showing the trailer with Thanos, who's like the main, you know,
- 14:20antagonist and he's, or he, you know, the evil character, the villain. And I'll send he says,
- 14:27I am, and there's a pregnant pause, you know, and it's evidentable. And I'm like, okay,
- 14:33don't tell me they're making him look like the I am. And I just thought that's terrible. I can see
- 14:37where they're going with that, you know, and then I think COVID hit or whatever. Then the follow-up
- 14:42to that movie, the actual Infinity Wars, it was a couple of different movies, right? And there
- 14:46is again, and there he's announced in the new trailer, I am, and pregnant pause again. I'm like,
- 14:52and then I put my hands in the air, Dave, I was in front of my computer working, you know,
- 14:55the commercials pop up. And when you're, you're looking at things and so forth and a podcast or
- 15:01whatever I was looking at. And I'll send, I put up my hands, I said, Lord, if you, if the same
- 15:06thing's happening in these comics, that's happening in what I exposed with a soldier soul's
- 15:10rock and roll, I'd exposed by the way, Alan Moore a little bit in Hollywood's War on God. And
- 15:16that was more in relation to the movies, but I knew he was a graphic writer for comics. I just didn't
- 15:21know in depth, because I just pray I said, Lord, if there's something more to this, and you want
- 15:25me to expose it, you know, burn it on my heart, show me somehow. So I don't just get off of this
- 15:29tangent that is not from you and it's not fruitful. And brother, when I woke up that morning man,
- 15:35my heart was burning to expect that you have to delve into this, you have to jump into you have
- 15:40to expose it. And I thought, man, okay, I went and brother, a matter of, I'm not kidding, hours,
- 15:46I'm like, uh-oh, this, because I started seeing these connections, because I started looking at
- 15:50the top writers. And I started seeing how they were connected to Crowley, how they were trying
- 15:54to promote Crowley's view. The top writer, Alan Moore says, he's a Joseph Goebbels, that was
- 15:59Adolf Hitler's propaganda minister. He was, I'm the Joseph Goebbels of arts, you know? We show
- 16:04a clip of being interviewed by BBC saying you take girls like Alice in London and Land in these
- 16:10stories, you know, the Cinderella, these type of characters, and you make them pre-pubescent,
- 16:14and you put them in sexualized situations where they're having sex with people. This is
- 16:17pornographic. And he goes, yeah, it is pornographic. We show the interview, he goes, but I can get
- 16:22away with it because it's considered strict, fictitious. This is their premier spoole, he's
- 16:27pin-moting, uh, I'll call it PDF-billion, or P Diddy, you know? That's their tour of my coin a
- 16:35couple weeks back, a couple months ago, because we'll see what happens with that anyway.
- 16:42Well, past joke, we've gotta take a brief break here. And when we come back, I just want to ask you
- 16:47a few more questions about this. This is fascinating to me because children are watching. It seems
- 16:53innocent, as you said, because it's fiction. And these are those comic books, they're superheroes.
- 16:58But the website, again, friends, Marvel DC Exposed.com. We'll be right back with Pastor Joe Shemel.
- 17:23Friends, thanks to you. And of course, under our sovereign God, thank you, Jesus. Our episodes
- 17:27have been surging across various platforms. We just want to praise God and remind you to follow us,
- 17:33a rap, uh, apple, uh, Spotify, Facebook, rumble, YouTube, freedom project, media app. We, we
- 17:39are just so thankful. So Pastor Joe, what are some of the more subversive super heroes out there
- 17:45today? Because most people are familiar with everything that's Hollywood's put out in the last
- 17:49several decades, because it's been so prominent. And these are blockbuster movies. So what are
- 17:55some of the most, I guess, subversive would be the word? Yeah. Well, that's a good question.
- 18:01Since we just came out with Stanley God in the devil, is I was mentioning to you that Stanley
- 18:09in his interview, or I should say in his, uh, his friend comes forth after having lunch with him
- 18:14a bazillion times saying, yeah, he believed in God. He just believed that, you know, God was just
- 18:18efficient, you know. So, uh, I've mentioned that he diminishes God in the comics and then, uh,
- 18:24but then you get a hero that steps up and becomes incredibly subversive. In fact, he's the most
- 18:29subversive, one of the most subversive super heroes because he's actually, uh, Satan in the form
- 18:34of the angel of light. And there's a new movie coming out, uh, a few months away from now,
- 18:40or so. I don't know the exact date. I'll have to look and find out when that's coming up,
- 18:43but a movie on Galactus, which is when Stanley is huge character because he had the fantastic
- 18:49four fight Galactus and that became an epic, uh, time in comics, uh, when people were really
- 18:56thinking, man, this is what helped comics take off is Stanley wanted to create a character who
- 19:00would represent God and have the fantastic four fight God because that would be, you know,
- 19:05the ultimate deal. At least that's what, uh, at least that's what, uh, Jack Kirby, uh,
- 19:12felt he was doing for, uh, Stanley after Stanley mentioned, let's deal with this character
- 19:17because Jack Kirby and we show this, we show within, uh, in any of us, we show interviews in
- 19:22our, uh, and site interviews throughout the video. And we actually placed up a Stanley regarding
- 19:28some of this material I'm talking about, but we show where where Jack, uh, Kirby said when he was
- 19:33young and he goes through it and we, you know, little dramatization and so forth, but, uh, he was a,
- 19:38a teenager and we're very young. And there was a specific Jews dancing around him praying because
- 19:44his parents brought him in because they saw him manifesting what they were believed, believed
- 19:48demonic possession. And they're trying to cast a demon out of him. He says it's at that time
- 19:52that he realized that all these things were coming out of him. These, these pictures, these ideas,
- 19:57and they came flooding psychedelic types of things that became part of the psychedelic sixties,
- 20:02uh, that all these ideas came from him. And so he's working with Stanley and he says I had to
- 20:08make Galactus God because I, he says I went to the Bible and to find, to learn more about this
- 20:14character and he goes, I actually had to move away from dealing with him for well because it was
- 20:18fearful thing. So he deals with Galactus who's this evil character who's just eats, you know,
- 20:23whole universes and, or, you know, planets and, but he has an emissary and his emissary is, uh,
- 20:29supposed to be a noble person and that's the silver surfer. Uh, and that, that silver surfer was,
- 20:35was way popular beginning the sixties because the poster and fluorescent and black lights and all
- 20:41that stuff, uh, and it's cooler looking muscular silver character on a surfboard and he becomes a hero,
- 20:48but at first he's serving Galactus and he goes as kind of an emissary kind of like John the Baptist
- 20:54to let the planet know that they're going to be, you have to submit and they're going to be eaten.
- 21:00He's this character, but then he comes to earth and then the earthlings are like, how could you
- 21:05allow us to happen in the movie? It's Jessica Alba, right? It's, you know, having this affection for
- 21:10him and, and he upset how could you do this? But then they, he connects with her and he has to
- 21:15change a heart, you know, he says, yeah, you know what? This is really basically it's evil.
- 21:19And he ends up fighting against Galactus and destroying Galactus, uh, but by, by sacrificing
- 21:25himself, ultimately destroying Galactus's plan to eat the earth. Well, if Galactus represents
- 21:30God, who represented God that turned from God and he says, and we show it in his, we show an audio
- 21:35of it, play an audio of it, he says, yeah, the silver surfer, he always represented the devil
- 21:39of the Bible. So the silver surfer who's heroic and by the way, he forms a cross in the movie and
- 21:45lights up and to collide with Galactus to destroy him. So he becomes like a false savior,
- 21:51he becomes a false crises, an angel of light, and he represents Satan. So what's interesting
- 21:55about this whole thing, Dave, is you look at the favorite comic that, when we go through this comic
- 22:02of Stan Lee, he talks about his, and keep in mind, he believed in God, he just believed he was
- 22:07deficient. In his favorite comic, he said, is parable and in parable, you know, Galactus who
- 22:13represents God is coming to the planet to destroy it again. And it's this, it's his favorite
- 22:18comic. And we go through it and we quote him saying that. And there is an evangelist, you know,
- 22:23trying to get people to turn to God and so forth. He becomes this evil character who's killed
- 22:28and Galactus is still coming. And it just so happens, you know, to cut to the chase regarding that
- 22:32because I want to get to one more if we have time is Galactus is defeated again by the silver surfer.
- 22:38But the silver surfer, then the United Nations wants to work with the silver surfer to bring
- 22:43a world government or world peace on the earth, you know, which, you know, sounds like the whole
- 22:47antichrist system, right? Right. And the silver surfer says two or three times throughout that
- 22:52comic that, you know, he wants people to recognize their own inner divinity, their spark of divinity
- 22:57within, which is the lie. Remember, says Satan wanted to be like the most high God. He told
- 23:01leave you can be like God, you know, the antichrist who said the devil of God showed
- 23:04something he is God. And here is the silver surfer teaching the satanic lie. So this is satanic to the
- 23:10core. I'll give you one more example. Sure. Because movie that's coming up with the new Galactus
- 23:15movie. So it's good timing is in regard to Galactus Stanley actually narrated a comic or a kind of
- 23:24a comic thing that he wrote called God woke. And when he first presented this on stage, things
- 23:30were thrown at him from the audience because it's such blasphemy against God. And we, we talk
- 23:34about that. And you hear his voice and we, we play his voice and we show the, the panels of comics
- 23:40going by. And what he does, he shows that God creates humanity. But when they pray to him,
- 23:45he's indifferent toward their prayers. He does a wicked worldview that he doesn't care about them.
- 23:51He's indifferent to them. He doesn't want to bother with their prayers. And they just sent
- 23:55a chaos. And it's just horrific. And by the end of the comic, God looks at the mirror. And he asks
- 24:01who's fault it really is. And he realizes it's his fault. And there's a tear in his eye and God
- 24:06woke me. God, God woke to the reality that he's really the cause of all the problems. He's wicked.
- 24:10He's, so he's not just efficient, but he's indifferent toward evil. So he's uncaring. And, and he's
- 24:16basically a wicked being, which is, which is really interesting because this fits more of a
- 24:20gnostic worldview than a theistic worldview. And of course, that's what Crowley was. And that's
- 24:24what a lot of these guys are. They're not six deep down. They're against God. And when you,
- 24:28we read the book Revelation and the end time books, it talks about a worldview where people are
- 24:33actually fighting against God in the end, realizing he exists. So I believe it's preparation.
- 24:37So I the first video is about the Antichrist agenda. The second one is on Doctor Strange,
- 24:41the third one. We go right to the, the, the, you know, the jugular of the head of the snake,
- 24:46basically, wow. There is so much more Joe, but we only have three minutes left. There's
- 24:52the series right there, guys. You can go to goodfight.org or the website marveldcexposed.com. So
- 25:02any cautions or things that you might want to share to encourage, we have a vast range of listeners
- 25:10and viewers, different ages. But let's talk about the younger families whose kids,
- 25:16some of these superheroes are their idols. They want to go see because all their friends are seeing
- 25:21these movies. And I know some of these messages in the movies. We know the background of the people
- 25:25and they are maybe subtle, but they're nonetheless evil and seductive. Any cautions or any encouragement
- 25:31you can give a young mom and dad watching or listening. Yeah, I would encourage them to really
- 25:37pray, understand that I'm not going around trying to be a killjoy. It's just I'm a dad to you.
- 25:41And I'm a son of God, a child of God, along with you day and our brothers and sisters in Christ.
- 25:46And I just have an earnest desire for to protect the children, you know. God came against the
- 25:50priests and the Old Testament more than once because they did not make a distinction between that,
- 25:54which was good and that which was evil. And we're warned that we need to make sure we're not
- 25:59babes who are tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. That's what children are. They're babes.
- 26:03So they need to get off the milk and onto the meat eventually so they can discern good and evil.
- 26:07Hebrews chapter five. So what I encourage parents to do is make their children aware of what's
- 26:13happening amongst their kids, especially when they're tempted to watch all this stuff and let them
- 26:16know, hey, there's certain things that we don't have for reason. We have a if you can't afford the
- 26:22actual videos that we have available. We have a bunch of clips that we have online that are free.
- 26:26Goodfight.org or I should say if you go to good fight ministries on YouTube, we make things
- 26:31available all the time that are that are free. So you can make them aware of what's going on.
- 26:36So you could teach them and give them a biblical worldview. I mean, brother, you know, who's the
- 26:41ultimate example that they should have is the Lord Jesus Christ. And by the way, the children know
- 26:47that these these characters are fictitious. They're not real. And even characters like Captain
- 26:51America isn't representing even American values anymore. He's woke now. So it's like it's just really,
- 26:57it's plurable. And I would encourage them to look to Jesus who actually existed. Our whole
- 27:01calendar is around BC and 80 were in, you know, 2025. And the Hall of Faith chapter, Hebrews 11, you know,
- 27:08look to the examples in scripture who were the real heroes who were real people who had victory
- 27:13through God and get them to relate to those children, how their minds renewed through the word of
- 27:17God, spending time with them, showing them you love them, not just bringing the hammer down,
- 27:21but but letting them see your heart, letting them give them your time, your talent and your treasure
- 27:25for God's glory. Amen, brother. Thank you so much for your time. I know you're so busy. Pastor Joe
- 27:32Shimmel, see me, Valley, California, blessed hope, chapel, good fight ministries. And hopefully,
- 27:37I'll connect with our brother Chad on five, eleven news. We'll have him on the show again soon.
- 27:43We'll learn, we'll do this again soon. Appreciate it, Joe. Thank you. Love you very much.
- 27:48Dave, thanks for having me on, brother. God bless you guys. Love you, brother. Thank you.
- 27:51Friends, God bless you and as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
