- 0:03Speaker 1: Twin starter Bailey over is with us on FT. Good
- 0:06Speaker 1: to see again Bailey has everything.
- 0:08Speaker 2: What's going on? Guys, Thanks for having me.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Thank you for joining us. Now you happen to be
- 0:12Speaker 1: joining us on a day when there's been quite a
- 0:16Speaker 1: bit of controversy, so we definitely want to get your
- 0:18Speaker 1: take on a couple instances that happened last night. Let's
- 0:22Speaker 1: actually start with the Rockies and the Giants getting into it.
- 0:27Speaker 1: First off, we rarely see real fisticuffs, like actual punches
- 0:32Speaker 1: being thrown. We don't condone the violence, but it's different.
- 0:34Speaker 1: It's mostly just the pushing and shovving. So just general question,
- 0:38Speaker 1: when you saw that go down with real actual punches
- 0:41Speaker 1: and shoving, what did you think and whose side are
- 0:44Speaker 1: you on in that one?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Well, first of all, I mean, it's definitely entertaining from
- 0:50Speaker 3: a fan aspect whenever something like that happens. So whenever
- 0:53Speaker 3: we see something like that happening across the league, we
- 0:56Speaker 3: kind of keep her ears up and pay attention and
- 1:00Speaker 3: see what the heck's going on.
- 1:02Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean it's I.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Don't know if I'm on the side for anyone, obviously,
- 1:08Speaker 3: I want to be as respectful, respectful as possible to
- 1:11Speaker 3: every of the single one of these guys that are
- 1:13Speaker 3: in this league. Obviously, Freelm took exception to how Devers
- 1:18Speaker 3: hit that home run, and Endeavors did not like whatever
- 1:20Speaker 3: Freeland was saying. So it escalated from there and guys
- 1:24Speaker 3: came charging in and then you've got to see some
- 1:27Speaker 3: some some punches being thrown and pushing and shoving.
- 1:31Speaker 4: The reaction of the Giants guys. The reaction of the
- 1:35Speaker 4: Giants guys tells me there was a little bit more
- 1:39Speaker 4: to that than what we just saw. And then Logan
- 1:42Speaker 4: Web after the game was like, Oh, yeah, that dude's
- 1:44Speaker 4: he's always talking smack? Are there are there guys that
- 1:47Speaker 4: you play against, or even on your team or even
- 1:51Speaker 4: yourself that top smack? Being six foot nine, you can't
- 1:54Speaker 4: really talk smack. You're already talking smack and intimidating everybody
- 1:57Speaker 4: out there. But are there guys that smack? And when
- 2:00Speaker 4: you go into those games, do you feel like your
- 2:03Speaker 4: teammates are kind of on edge anytime something happens with
- 2:08Speaker 4: those guys out on the mound, especially since pitchers can't
- 2:11Speaker 4: hit anymore.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like there's definitely a few guys around
- 2:16Speaker 3: this league that I've noticed, like my teammates will take
- 2:20Speaker 3: just notice some antics on the mound that they may
- 2:22Speaker 3: not like. But I don't know if necessarily if they're
- 2:26Speaker 3: talking crap to our guys. That's mainly just how they
- 2:30Speaker 3: present themselves and how they hold themselves and how they
- 2:32Speaker 3: deal with the ups and downs of the game.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Going on out there.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah, there's definitely a few guys that I could see
- 2:42Speaker 3: maybe getting guys on the edge of their seats a
- 2:45Speaker 3: little bit more in case something does happen. I feel
- 2:49Speaker 3: like there hasn't been as much of that with our
- 2:51Speaker 3: team recently, but I mean I remember a few times
- 2:57Speaker 3: whenever I think I don't know if they had a
- 3:00Speaker 3: previous relationship or something going on, but I think it
- 3:03Speaker 3: was Snow a couple of years back, with maybe one
- 3:07Speaker 3: of the one of the Cleveland starters. I don't know,
- 3:09Speaker 3: there was some issue going going on between those two guys.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But that's all.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I can remember personally from that kind of hitter hitcher standpoint,
- 3:19Speaker 3: And obviously I don't I don't know Freeland and I
- 3:20Speaker 3: don't know Devers personally, so I don't know exactly the
- 3:23Speaker 3: extent of how they handle themselves either.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Haley, can you tell hot Rod to quick cooking a
- 3:28Speaker 5: hamburger next year? What isn't is there?
- 3:30Speaker 2: Like?
- 3:31Speaker 1: What is happening?
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm in the hyperbar chamber room in here, so
- 3:36Speaker 3: I got some teammates getting some work in, and I'm
- 3:39Speaker 3: I was I came in here for some quiet, but
- 3:42Speaker 3: my guy, Trevor Larning is getting some work in right now.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Okay, got it? God, that's yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 6: We thought you were a recovery sir.
- 3:48Speaker 5: I thought I know hot Rod doesn't cook, so you
- 3:50Speaker 5: know he's out christ fishing today, so yeah, tell him
- 3:53Speaker 5: to flip that burger over and move on, all right,
- 3:55Speaker 5: next when you see you. But here's what I understand
- 3:58Speaker 5: about you pictures. You guys get mad when everybody flips
- 4:02Speaker 5: their bat nowadays, and everybody does this Byron Buckston flips
- 4:06Speaker 5: his bat. You're cheering for him. But then some guy
- 4:09Speaker 5: flips his bad against you, Bailey, and you're like, oh,
- 4:12Speaker 5: I'm gonna be mad at him. Haven't we moved past
- 4:15Speaker 5: that now? Because listen, I used to be that guy.
- 4:17Speaker 5: I would talk a lot of trash to twins through
- 4:19Speaker 5: a me Plenty of times Ron Gardenhier tell him to
- 4:22Speaker 5: throw me and then he oh, I never would do that.
- 4:24Speaker 5: It's fine, Guardy, I get it. But why do pictures
- 4:27Speaker 5: get so mad when a guy flips a bat. I
- 4:29Speaker 5: don't understand.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Like, if you strike me out and you go, yeah, okay,
- 4:34Speaker 6: you got me. When I hit a home off you,
- 4:35Speaker 6: then I'm gonna do a little bat.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I mean it goes both ways. If you're gonna do it,
- 4:40Speaker 3: then you've got to be open to getting it back,
- 4:43Speaker 3: you know. I feel like with Byron, whenever he hits
- 4:48Speaker 3: a nuke off someone, he's he's pumping up our dug out.
- 4:50Speaker 2: He's never directing it towards the other team. And that
- 4:54Speaker 2: can be definitely a big difference if a hit or does.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Something and then starts yelling directly at you something that
- 5:00Speaker 3: you might not want.
- 5:02Speaker 2: May not like.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, there's pictures that will strike out someone
- 5:07Speaker 3: in a big situation and let a few f bombs.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Go and try to I don't know, they're fired up.
- 5:13Speaker 3: There's not a whole lot of times where that's personally
- 5:16Speaker 3: directed at the hitter per se, where they're telling them that, hey,
- 5:20Speaker 3: go go go sit your.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Butt down in the dugout. You can't hit me. I
- 5:25Speaker 2: don't see a whole lot of that going on at
- 5:27Speaker 2: the moment.
- 5:28Speaker 4: I'm here for that. I'm also here for a little
- 5:32Speaker 4: bit of research that I did your playoff start? Your
- 5:35Speaker 4: one playoff start was in Houston, correct, yep? Okay, did
- 5:41Speaker 4: you ever were you ever at any point not able
- 5:44Speaker 4: to hear the pitch com because it was in twenty
- 5:46Speaker 4: twenty three, I assume you guys had the PitchCom Could
- 5:49Speaker 4: you not hear.
- 5:50Speaker 6: The pitch comp.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I think I was good that game. I think I
- 5:54Speaker 3: had it up turned up to the right setting. But yeah,
- 5:58Speaker 3: I mean some games I could just cuts off, but
- 6:01Speaker 3: I don't. I don't know if that specific game, if
- 6:04Speaker 3: I had any issues. I don't remember having any issues,
- 6:06Speaker 3: So I would assume that I was. I was pretty
- 6:07Speaker 3: fine without going on that game.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Okay, so the playoffs in Houston, and you were fine.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You don't remember it not working. So if a pitcher
- 6:16Speaker 4: says they can't hear their pitch, calm, If you ever
- 6:18Speaker 4: can't hear it, would you ever just throw whatever pitch
- 6:22Speaker 4: you wanted to?
- 6:26Speaker 2: No?
- 6:27Speaker 3: Probably not, Okay, I mean I wouldn't. I wouldn't want
- 6:30Speaker 3: to put my guy in the position where he might not.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Know what's coming.
- 6:36Speaker 6: In your opinion.
- 6:37Speaker 2: There could there could be, There could be.
- 6:39Speaker 3: I have heard conversations being had, Like you say, the
- 6:43Speaker 3: pitchclock's winding down, you don't have them to step offs,
- 6:46Speaker 3: or you don't want to step off. You have a
- 6:48Speaker 3: designated pitch that you're going to throw, like you and
- 6:50Speaker 3: the catcher have something. Hey, if the clock's running out,
- 6:54Speaker 3: it goes to zero, we have an agreed on something,
- 6:56Speaker 3: and I.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Start my motion. That's the pitch that I'm going to throw,
- 6:59Speaker 2: whether that's a fastball, slider, or whatever it is. I
- 7:01Speaker 2: have heard guys talk about that.
- 7:03Speaker 1: For sure, We're throwing a curveball at you this week
- 7:07Speaker 1: for our Arena Club segment. As AJ has opened up
- 7:10Speaker 1: a Pokemon slap pack.
- 7:11Speaker 6: Did you say it?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Pokemon slapman? Pokemon? Don't ask me to say what that
- 7:16Speaker 1: card is, but what you doing with that card? I
- 7:18Speaker 1: already sold it back, baby.
- 7:20Speaker 5: I bought it, and then I got more money than
- 7:22Speaker 5: I paid for the pack, so I sold us straight back.
- 7:25Speaker 1: You bought it for, you sold it for, and you
- 7:31Speaker 1: can go get yourself something that you maybe know how
- 7:33Speaker 1: to pronounce.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Yes or what it is.
- 7:35Speaker 5: I said it because I saw certain people open in
- 7:38Speaker 5: Pokemon and they're making money and guess what I got.
- 7:41Speaker 6: Lucky made money off of.
- 7:42Speaker 2: It too, exactly.
- 7:43Speaker 1: But of course, if you're into sports cards, that is
- 7:46Speaker 1: something that you can find a ton of on the
- 7:49Speaker 1: Arena Club marketplace. By sell slab pack trade twenty percent
- 7:54Speaker 1: off your first slap pack or card purchase can be
- 7:56Speaker 1: had at Arena club dot com. Slash foul and use
- 7:59Speaker 1: the code foul. That's arenaclub dot com. Slash foul and
- 8:03Speaker 1: use code f O U L.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I assume you saw the framber and Saysar Salsar thing.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Do you feel like the reaction was a reaction of
- 8:15Speaker 4: it was a mistake by Framber or do you feel
- 8:18Speaker 4: like it was a reaction of that he knew what
- 8:22Speaker 4: pitch he was throwing.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I don't know. It's tough to say.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I mean the reactions between the facial expressions between Salazar
- 8:31Speaker 3: and Framber, they didn't look.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Too happy with each other, I'll say that.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So obviously the catcher is gonna be a little pissed
- 8:38Speaker 3: off whenever you get crossed up and get squared in
- 8:40Speaker 3: the chest with the fastball. But yeah, it's a weird circumstance. Obviously,
- 8:46Speaker 3: I saw that they had like a meeting with the
- 8:47Speaker 3: manager after the game, so maybe they thought there was
- 8:50Speaker 3: something going on as well.
- 8:51Speaker 2: So I don't know, it's as a picture.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I don't want to put my guys in that type
- 8:56Speaker 3: of situation, and obviously the catcher's a j and crowds.
- 9:00Speaker 2: You guys would for sure not want to be in
- 9:02Speaker 2: that situation either.
- 9:04Speaker 5: No, we we we'd have listen, we'd have a grown
- 9:06Speaker 5: man conversation in the tunnel after that inning was done.
- 9:09Speaker 5: There would there would definitely be some words exchange that
- 9:12Speaker 5: both of us.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Well, I wouldn't like too.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Much, and there might be some some hands laid on
- 9:17Speaker 5: somebody because you're affecting my personal health at that point.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, I mean your risk. Yeah, I agree.
- 9:24Speaker 5: So so here's my question. Is there anybody in the
- 9:27Speaker 5: Twins organization that you would like to chuck a ball at?
- 9:29Speaker 6: And why is it? Mike Kerman? That's what I want
- 9:32Speaker 6: to know.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Why do you want Why does everybody that plays you
- 9:35Speaker 5: want to.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Throw a ball at Mike Kerman?
- 9:37Speaker 2: I'll be I think you know the reason, just because.
- 9:43Speaker 5: People who don't know Mike Kerman is their traveling secretary
- 9:46Speaker 5: No sorry, director of team travel. Sorry, yes, he didn't
- 9:52Speaker 5: want to be the traveling secretary, so but you know, no, but.
- 9:57Speaker 6: Yes, it all, it all.
- 9:58Speaker 5: He's the secretary of team travel in all, in all seriousness, though,
- 10:02Speaker 5: if you had this happen, isn't the first thing you do,
- 10:07Speaker 5: and you already kind of said this, you run, you
- 10:09Speaker 5: run to your catcher and you're like, dude, I'm so
- 10:11Speaker 5: so every time I got crossed me up, the first
- 10:12Speaker 5: thing was like, I'm so sorry, Are you okay?
- 10:14Speaker 6: Like you'll be hurt right no matter who it is,
- 10:17Speaker 6: because they're on your team.
- 10:18Speaker 5: You don't turn your back to him and walk away
- 10:20Speaker 5: Like that's just pure disrespect.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Isn't it. Yeah, yeah, I agree. Yeah, it's definitely a
- 10:25Speaker 2: weird situation.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Obviously, maybe there was some more stuff going on between
- 10:28Speaker 3: those two guys before that game started.
- 10:29Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 10:30Speaker 3: But whenever you see something like that, and just like
- 10:32Speaker 3: the reactions between those two guys, it just maybe maybe
- 10:35Speaker 3: they're not too friendly to each other.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I don't know. It's just a weird, weird thing to see,
- 10:40Speaker 2: especially in the big leagues. But that happened.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Hey.
- 10:45Speaker 5: By the way, sorry I said some about Buckston earlier.
- 10:46Speaker 5: I didn't mean get like personally towards bucks I want
- 10:48Speaker 5: people to do that. No, I know you know that,
- 10:50Speaker 5: but there's people out there to be like, oh, he's
- 10:52Speaker 5: attacking Buckston. Trust me, I played with Tory Hunter, Tory
- 10:54Speaker 5: Phoner flipped his bad more than anybody before. Bathflopping was cool,
- 10:58Speaker 5: right and so and I did it too. So listen,
- 11:01Speaker 5: I'm all for batflips, talking trash. I think it's great
- 11:03Speaker 5: for the game. So I want to just make that
- 11:04Speaker 5: clear now. Byron Buckson said he didn't want to be traded.
- 11:07Speaker 4: I get it.
- 11:08Speaker 5: I love the fact that he's going to play for
- 11:09Speaker 5: the Twins whole career. But when that trade deadline hit,
- 11:12Speaker 5: were you like Oprah, like, oh, you get a trade,
- 11:14Speaker 5: and you get a trade and you get a trading
- 11:16Speaker 5: were you looking down the line going, We're not gonna
- 11:18Speaker 5: have enough dudes to play this game if we keep
- 11:20Speaker 5: trading the whole team.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I know it was. It was a weird day.
- 11:25Speaker 3: We had an off day in Cleveland, so we flew
- 11:28Speaker 3: in the night before, got in, and then that day
- 11:31Speaker 3: a lot of us were just kind of hanging around
- 11:32Speaker 3: and seeing what was gonna unfold. Obviously, no one really
- 11:37Speaker 3: thought that the extent of it was gonna be what
- 11:39Speaker 3: it was. So we had I don't know, I probably
- 11:43Speaker 3: up to ten guys just kind of chilling up to
- 11:45Speaker 3: waiting like towards the end of that deadline, just to
- 11:48Speaker 3: see what happened, and then we're gonna go get some
- 11:50Speaker 3: dinner afterwards. And some of the guys that were in
- 11:52Speaker 3: the room ended up getting traded. So it was really
- 11:54Speaker 3: weird just being able to kind of be with them
- 11:57Speaker 3: and kind of see their emotions and kind of the
- 12:00Speaker 3: reaction of the others in the in that group. It
- 12:03Speaker 3: was definitely a weird day and something that we may
- 12:07Speaker 3: never see eleven guys on one big League Rosser get
- 12:10Speaker 3: traded on the deadline again, but it was something that
- 12:14Speaker 3: I'll never forget. And yeah, it's just it was a
- 12:17Speaker 3: crazy thing to experience.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Was there any two parts? Was there anybody that the
- 12:22Speaker 4: reaction was like whoa that was like significant, like guys crying,
- 12:26Speaker 4: guys like talking about how they didn't want it, other
- 12:30Speaker 4: guys like jumping for joy. And was there anybody that
- 12:35Speaker 4: was thinking they were going to get traded and it
- 12:37Speaker 4: looked like it was going to happen and then didn't
- 12:40Speaker 4: and now still with the team.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I mean I think all three situations
- 12:45Speaker 3: that you had, Obviously, the biggest one that kind of
- 12:47Speaker 3: shocked the whole room was that Louis Barlin trade, just
- 12:49Speaker 3: because he's a hometown kid, He's on minimum contract, lots
- 12:53Speaker 3: of years of control left, and he had stepped up
- 12:57Speaker 3: in a big way this year as a bullpen guy
- 13:00Speaker 3: that we could first see like kind of being a
- 13:02Speaker 3: late inning guy, like an eight and ninth inning guys.
- 13:04Speaker 3: He continued to develop, so him when he got that call,
- 13:10Speaker 3: he saw the phone who was calling him, and everyone
- 13:13Speaker 3: else kind of in the room kind of figured what
- 13:15Speaker 3: was going on, but he ended up stepping out of
- 13:17Speaker 3: the room so we could have that conversation privately. So,
- 13:20Speaker 3: I mean, it was definitely probably one of the hardest
- 13:22Speaker 3: for him. Rock Stewart was another guy that really loved
- 13:26Speaker 3: being in Minnesota, and then a few other guys like
- 13:30Speaker 3: I'm sure they kind of expected being traded there on
- 13:33Speaker 3: one year deals. They're gonna be free agents at the
- 13:34Speaker 3: end of the season, so they kind of expected. They
- 13:37Speaker 3: had heads ups going into that to that day that
- 13:40Speaker 3: they probably were going to be moved. And then obviously
- 13:43Speaker 3: when you have a trade that gets leaked and then
- 13:45Speaker 3: it doesn't happen with Joe Ryan. That's definitely another weird
- 13:49Speaker 3: emotions that he had to go through that day thinking
- 13:52Speaker 3: that he was going to a different team and then
- 13:54Speaker 3: ended up staying.
- 13:57Speaker 1: One more on this about Griffin Jackson. You don't see
- 14:02Speaker 1: trade requests very often, and it sounded like it was
- 14:05Speaker 1: done respectfully. But you'd been a teammate of his, and
- 14:08Speaker 1: you know he had a really nice career with the
- 14:10Speaker 1: Twins the last few years. Did you know that he
- 14:13Speaker 1: requested the trade?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Like, what was your.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Thoughts on that whole process, because it wasn't like, oh,
- 14:19Speaker 1: super disgruntled everyone. I mean, unless you tell me differently.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Usually when you think trade request, you think of other
- 14:25Speaker 1: sports and it's like a whole battle. Michael Parsons was
- 14:27Speaker 1: not the Griffin Jackson the Twins.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean, so I talked to Griffin the day,
- 14:34Speaker 3: like the day of the trade trade deadline, because I
- 14:36Speaker 3: guess when he put in that trade request was like
- 14:39Speaker 3: the night before, So I didn't It wasn't like super
- 14:43Speaker 3: old news. It was pretty fresh to the guys, and
- 14:47Speaker 3: especially the guys that he was close with on the
- 14:48Speaker 3: team that he was open to tell them about.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah. I think he probably just they had some I.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Think it was the day before the trade or the
- 15:00Speaker 3: two days before the trade deadline. He had a little
- 15:03Speaker 3: scuffle with Rocco and they talked it out and they
- 15:05Speaker 3: seemed to be fine afterwards. But yeah, you never know
- 15:09Speaker 3: what those types of situations where him and his agent
- 15:12Speaker 3: come up with the they think this is the best
- 15:14Speaker 3: idea for him and his careers to get to a
- 15:16Speaker 3: different spot. And then I think maybe whenever they saw
- 15:20Speaker 3: or heard that they're going to start getting getting rid
- 15:23Speaker 3: of the majority of the guys, maybe he I would
- 15:26Speaker 3: assume that he probably put voice his opinion.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Then I waited it for us for a sec.
- 15:39Speaker 6: I think we got you back till dustin quick modeling
- 15:43Speaker 6: and pay for Internet.
- 15:48Speaker 1: All right, I think we got him. All right, let's
- 15:50Speaker 1: finish with this. Okay, we got him again, barely. Sorry,
- 15:53Speaker 1: we lost it for a sect there, last last one.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I just wanted to finish with one other teammate that
- 15:58Speaker 1: you played with for a while, the age I already mentioned,
- 16:00Speaker 1: but actually seeing him put together such a complete season
- 16:02Speaker 1: that's probably going to result in at a top ten
- 16:04Speaker 1: MVP finish. What have you seen from Byron Buxton this year?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Byron. Byron has obviously showed the flashes
- 16:12Speaker 2: over the years.
- 16:14Speaker 3: When I came up in twenty one was the season
- 16:16Speaker 3: that he, I feel like, really broke out offensively. It
- 16:20Speaker 3: was almost like two months into the season and he
- 16:22Speaker 3: was hitting four hundred. So when I came up that year,
- 16:25Speaker 3: I was like, this is this is the best baseball
- 16:27Speaker 3: player I think I've ever seen in person.
- 16:29Speaker 2: And then obviously he's dealt with his injury stuff.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Obviously that gets brought up every single time, as much
- 16:36Speaker 3: as he probably doesn't like it. Yeah, back to back
- 16:40Speaker 3: years with over one hundred games now this year and
- 16:43Speaker 3: he's looking as healthy as ever. I mean, he's stealing
- 16:45Speaker 3: bases the last few weeks Italian those numbers up, hitting
- 16:49Speaker 3: the homers, playing outstanding defense, and it's just stuff that
- 16:53Speaker 3: you've seen over the years that he is able to do,
- 16:57Speaker 3: like some of the flashes that he shows, just being
- 16:59Speaker 3: able to run from first to third on a triple
- 17:01Speaker 3: and what is the record that he holds. It's like
- 17:04Speaker 3: eleven point something seconds, it's the fastest one or something
- 17:07Speaker 3: like that. Isn't an incredible athlete and an incredible player,
- 17:12Speaker 3: really good teammate, and I'm happy that he's able to really,
- 17:16Speaker 3: his body's able to hould up, and everyone's allowed to
- 17:20Speaker 3: watch him day in, day out and just enjoy the
- 17:24Speaker 3: product that's.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Out there on the field with them.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Hayley, before we let you go last one, I have
- 17:28Speaker 5: to know we talked about this earlier. New teammate of yours,
- 17:30Speaker 5: Todge Bradley said it's the first time he ever looked
- 17:33Speaker 5: at a scouting report recently. Was did that come? Did
- 17:36Speaker 5: you make them? Did Joe Ryan make them? Did Pablo
- 17:38Speaker 5: make them? Or is there someone else that we're missing?
- 17:41Speaker 5: That made Todge Bradley finally look at some video before
- 17:43Speaker 5: he pitched, because now he's like, oh.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Man, this is amazing. This is kind of fun and
- 17:47Speaker 6: it makes pitching easier.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I mean, I would assume I've only been with the Twins,
- 17:52Speaker 3: this is my whole career, but most teams would give
- 17:54Speaker 3: scattering reports, but I guess that's not the case always. Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 3: he came over here and that's just kind of what
- 18:02Speaker 3: our team and our staff give out every start is
- 18:05Speaker 3: just a couple of papers worth of reports on each
- 18:09Speaker 3: and every guy that they have in their lineup, and
- 18:11Speaker 3: it's kind of up to you if you want to
- 18:12Speaker 3: use that, if you want to write down your own notes,
- 18:14Speaker 3: if you want to go off anything else that you see,
- 18:17Speaker 3: if you watch video, and then the team and you
- 18:21Speaker 3: meet up before your start and kind of go over
- 18:24Speaker 3: what your ideas are and what your plans are. So yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 3: I mean it's it's definitely kind of odd hearing coming
- 18:32Speaker 3: from other starters in the big leagues that they don't
- 18:34Speaker 3: have or they the team doesn't provide stuff. Kind of
- 18:37Speaker 3: sometimes you're on your own if you want to look
- 18:38Speaker 3: at stuff, and sometimes, like I guess TOADJ just never
- 18:42Speaker 3: really paid.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Attention to that.
- 18:44Speaker 3: The first time I heard about this was when he
- 18:46Speaker 3: when it came out an article or something like that,
- 18:48Speaker 3: so I didn't know that they didn't give him anything
- 18:52Speaker 3: as well. Yeah, hopefully it becomes really useful for him. Obviously,
- 18:56Speaker 3: his last start was really good. Stuff is electric, so
- 19:01Speaker 3: maybe if you can pare that up with some good
- 19:03Speaker 3: reports that he finds that works for him, it could
- 19:07Speaker 3: be a great thing for his career.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I'm buying stock and Tom's Bradley, I like you, you've
- 19:12Speaker 1: got good stuff, so it's another layer. Oh Bailey, this
- 19:15Speaker 1: was awesome man, Thanks for all all the time. Obviously
- 19:17Speaker 1: great catching up.
- 19:18Speaker 6: You got sorry, you got hit with some hard ones today.
- 19:21Speaker 5: I mean the one day you come on, you got man,
- 19:24Speaker 5: you got all fights and dudes throwing balls at each other.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Oh good.
- 19:28Speaker 5: I mean it was great, great answers. But man, you know,
- 19:30Speaker 5: normally you try, we try to have fun and you
- 19:32Speaker 5: were great. But man, I do feel kind of bad.
- 19:34Speaker 6: No, I like it. Great answers, Yeah, I appreciate it.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I mean, it's stuff going on throughout the league and
- 19:41Speaker 3: we gotta we gotta talk about it.
- 19:42Speaker 2: So yeah, it's always entertaining too.
- 19:44Speaker 4: If I'd be arguing with you, Bailey, and it's out
- 19:46Speaker 4: on the mound, I'm standing on the top of the mound,
- 19:48Speaker 4: you're on the back. And if it's in the dugout,
- 19:51Speaker 4: you're gonna sit in your chair that you're sitting between innings. Okay,
- 19:54Speaker 4: I'm not. I'm not sitting here telling you if you're
- 19:56Speaker 4: gonna throw whatever pitch you want to throw. I'm not
- 19:58Speaker 4: doing that. I feel I feel like it's over, like
- 20:01Speaker 4: I'm not so you still there.
- 20:03Speaker 3: I mean I had Wes Johnson used to tell me
- 20:07Speaker 3: the same thing, and he was my pitching coach for
- 20:08Speaker 3: my first two years up here.
- 20:09Speaker 2: He used to say, you're standing on the back of
- 20:10Speaker 2: the mountain.
- 20:11Speaker 3: When I come out there so I can talk to you.
- 20:14Speaker 2: They're gonna think I'm four.
- 20:15Speaker 6: But nothing that's right in Toronto.
- 20:17Speaker 5: If you went to Toronto, I'd be like a foot taller
- 20:19Speaker 5: than you're not to the mounts higher in Toronto.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Really, No, there's a few places.
- 20:25Speaker 6: That's for next time.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Next time with Balley, we're gonna go over Mount Hide.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Thanks Balley, this was fun man, appreciate it. We'll catch
- 20:31Speaker 1: you soon, Okay.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Appreciate you guys. Thank you.
