Jeffrey Epstein and The Ski Chalet In Vail · The Epstein Chronicles

Speaker 1: Over at OK Magazine has unearthed some more interesting information, folks.
• 0:06
Speaker 1: It looks like Jeffrey Epstein was at least partially an
• 0:11
Speaker 1: owner in a ski chalet that sold for $ 24 million
• 0:16
Speaker 1: in July. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't
• 0:22
Speaker 1: one of the places where Ghislaine Maxwell was said to
• 0:25
Speaker 1: be hiding Colorado? No. Was she perhaps at this chalet?
• 0:33
Speaker 1: And Laura Menninger, I believe she is also based out
• 0:37
Speaker 1: of Colorado as well. So, it would make a lot
• 0:41
Speaker 1: of sense that Ghislaine Maxwell might have had access to
• 0:44
Speaker 1: this pad, right? This is one hell of a house,
• 0:47
Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Some of the pictures here in
• 0:49
Speaker 1: the article are pretty smoking. This is the kind of
• 0:52
Speaker 1: place somebody like me, who enjoys being outdoors all the time,
• 0:57
Speaker 1: would love to live in. And in the location where
• 1:00
Speaker 1: it's at, forget it. So the question is, how come
• 1:06
Speaker 1: this property isn't listed by the executors of Jeffrey Epstein's estate?
• 1:13
Speaker 1: And will that change now that this has been brought
• 1:19
Speaker 1: to the forefront here? Now, it's already been sold, obviously.
• 1:23
Speaker 1: So my question is, what about the money? Where did
• 1:26
Speaker 1: Epstein's portion of this money go to? So let's jump
• 1:30
Speaker 1: into this article by OK Magazine and see what Chris
• 1:35
Speaker 1: Spargo has dug up for us. Headline, Jeffrey Epstein owned
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Colorado ski chalet that sold for $ 24 million in July.
• 1:48
Speaker 1: Coincides pretty much with Ghislaine Maxwell going to jail, huh?
• 1:51
Speaker 1: Pretty interesting. I guess it's just a coincidence, though. Lots
• 1:54
Speaker 1: of those inhabiting this case. The late heiress, Labette Johnson,
• 2:00
Speaker 1: named her to her trust before her death. This article
• 2:05
Speaker 1: was authored by Chris Spargo. And Labette Johnson is one
• 2:10
Speaker 1: of the Johnson & Johnson granddaughters. So she's somebody who
• 2:15
Speaker 1: obviously is entrenched in so-called polite society. Woody Johnson is
• 2:23
Speaker 1: the ambassador to the United Kingdom. The Johnsons are obviously
• 2:30
Speaker 1: a very, very well-to-do family. And it doesn't strike me
• 2:35
Speaker 1: as a shock or as odd that someone in the
• 2:39
Speaker 1: Johnson family would have been this wrapped up with Epstein, right?
• 2:43
Speaker 1: It's just par for the course at this point. Jeffrey
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Epstein had a massive real estate empire that included an
• 2:52
Speaker 1: apartment in Paris, two islands in the Caribbean, a Palm
• 2:56
Speaker 1: Beach mansion, a massive New York townhouse, and a ranch
• 3:01
Speaker 1: in New Mexico. But O.K. has obtained paperwork revealing these
• 3:05
Speaker 1: were not his only properties. One thing he kept secret
• 3:08
Speaker 1: was another, never before disclosed sex chalet. That's a pretty
• 3:14
Speaker 1: interesting way to put it, huh? A sex chalet? Now,
• 3:17
Speaker 1: we know everywhere Epstein went, he was molesting girls and
• 3:21
Speaker 1: young women, and obviously, the question has to be asked now,
• 3:27
Speaker 1: that we find out that he has this secret ski chalet.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: Were any girls in Colorado involved in this pyramid scheme,
• 3:37
Speaker 1: meaning any of these minors that lived close by, or
• 3:40
Speaker 1: were they flown in there to be abused? It's, again,
• 3:45
Speaker 1: another avenue that we have to travel down. There are
• 3:48
Speaker 1: more questions than answers in this case. And while I'm
• 3:52
Speaker 1: obviously no expert on these sorts of matters when it
• 3:55
Speaker 1: comes to federal cases or anything like this, I mean,
• 4:00
Speaker 1: it can't be every single case that just you add
• 4:02
Speaker 1: more questions and more questions every time you think you're
• 4:07
Speaker 1: getting an answer, right? Because that's certainly what seems to
• 4:10
Speaker 1: happen here. Every day we wake up, we'll have a
• 4:13
Speaker 1: little bit of a lull in information, maybe a day
• 4:16
Speaker 1: or two, and then bam, we learn something new. Bam,
• 4:20
Speaker 1: something else comes up that opens up a whole bunch
• 4:23
Speaker 1: of new questions. And that's just the way it seems
• 4:25
Speaker 1: to go with this case, right? And it's crazy. I've
• 4:29
Speaker 1: never seen anything like it. In 1997, Epstein became an
• 4:36
Speaker 1: owner of a ski chalet in Vail, Colorado that just
• 4:40
Speaker 1: sold this past July for $ 24 million. Now, Vail is
• 4:45
Speaker 1: as high-end as it gets when you're talking about ski towns,
• 4:48
Speaker 1: ski resorts. And I've been fortunate enough to visit Vail.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: And you're talking the upper crust, big-time money. So just
• 5:00
Speaker 1: from the pictures alone of this place, it is just
• 5:05
Speaker 1: an incredibly beautiful property, no doubt about it. But the
• 5:09
Speaker 1: real question is, if this was sold in July and Epstein...
• 5:14
Speaker 1: Was at least part owner of it. Where did that
• 5:18
Speaker 1: money go? It should go to the trust. And to
• 5:21
Speaker 1: the survivors right? I wonder. Who received this money? Was
• 5:28
Speaker 1: it his brother? Was it Indyke? Was it Khan? I
• 5:32
Speaker 1: don't know. I'm just asking some questions around these parts.
• 5:37
Speaker 1: Documents show that the property. Was purchased in 1994. By
• 5:41
Speaker 1: Elizabeth Ross Labette Johnson. the great-granddaughter and the co-founder of
• 5:47
Speaker 1: Johnson & Johnson. She is one of those rare individuals
• 5:51
Speaker 1: who was known to be a client of Epstein, and
• 5:53
Speaker 1: a few years into their professional relationship, Epstein got Labette
• 5:58
Speaker 1: to make him an owner of her property. So it
• 6:01
Speaker 1: just goes for the usual with the Johnsons. I mean,
• 6:05
Speaker 1: they own the New York Jets football team, which is
• 6:08
Speaker 1: an absolute clown show in a dumpster fire. Terrible judgment
• 6:12
Speaker 1: shown there. As far as being football executives. So why
• 6:17
Speaker 1: should it shock us that somebody from the Johnson family
• 6:20
Speaker 1: would exhibit terrible... Would exhibit terrible show of decision making
• 6:29
Speaker 1: by hanging out with somebody like Jeffrey Epstein. And not
• 6:32
Speaker 1: only hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein, being one of his clients. So...
• 6:38
Speaker 1: What do the other Johnsons know? Are anyone else in
• 6:42
Speaker 1: the Johnson family aware of what occurred here? Did anybody
• 6:45
Speaker 1: else in the Johnson family have any sort of financial
• 6:49
Speaker 1: ties to Jeffrey Epstein? Again, this opens up a whole
• 6:55
Speaker 1: bunch of different questions. A 1998 property transfer that is
• 7:01
Speaker 1: dated May 13th and signed by both Johnson and Epstein
• 7:05
Speaker 1: is transfers the property from the heiress to a trust
• 7:08
Speaker 1: set up in her name by the pedophile. The document
• 7:12
Speaker 1: is only signed by those two individuals, along with the
• 7:16
Speaker 1: appropriate notaries and clerks, but none of Labette's heirs. So
• 7:21
Speaker 1: Epstein was probably hustling this old lady, right? Probably had
• 7:25
Speaker 1: the screws turned to her, turning on that charm real thick,
• 7:29
Speaker 1: was probably introduced to her by Les Wexner. And she
• 7:33
Speaker 1: thought she was getting herself a hell of a score here.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: Somebody that knew how to play the markets. Jeffrey Epstein,
• 7:38
Speaker 1: so sharp. Meanwhile, she had no idea, probably, that she's
• 7:43
Speaker 1: getting in bed with this bipedal serpent. Then again, maybe
• 7:47
Speaker 1: she did, right? If I'm going to continue to be
• 7:50
Speaker 1: the cynic that I have become, as we have followed
• 7:53
Speaker 1: this case from the beginning, well, then she was probably
• 7:58
Speaker 1: another enabler, right? Somebody who knew that Jeffrey Epstein was
• 8:01
Speaker 1: a scuzzbag, etc., etc., Or again, maybe Epstein was working
• 8:06
Speaker 1: her and scamming her as well. Who knows? The fact
• 8:10
Speaker 1: of the matter is this though, this property was not
• 8:14
Speaker 1: listed as far as entities owned by Jeffrey Epstein or
• 8:19
Speaker 1: properties owned by Jeffrey Epstein. And that means that this
• 8:22
Speaker 1: money was directed somewhere and that somewhere is not the
• 8:27
Speaker 1: survivor's fund. So I think that is the most important
• 8:30
Speaker 1: thing here. The document states that Epstein can convey, encumber, lease,
• 8:36
Speaker 1: or otherwise deal with interest in the property. That gave
• 8:40
Speaker 1: him the same rights to the chalet as Labette. There
• 8:43
Speaker 1: was never a change to that trust before the house
• 8:46
Speaker 1: sold this year. And the deed references the owner as
• 8:49
Speaker 1: being the trust as created in the May 1998 document.
• 8:54
Speaker 1: The deed for the property was signed by Labette's daughter,
• 8:57
Speaker 1: Annabelle Thiel, in her capacity as a trustee of the estate.
• 9:03
Speaker 1: So it wasn't just old woman Johnson here, huh? She
• 9:08
Speaker 1: had her daughter involved. They looked at it. So, OK,
• 9:11
Speaker 1: I'm guessing that she wasn't being jobbed by Epstein. She
• 9:14
Speaker 1: was just another person who thought that Epstein was a
• 9:17
Speaker 1: great guy. Boy, aren't all of these members of so-called
• 9:21
Speaker 1: polite society such good people to judge character? It is
• 9:30
Speaker 1: unclear if Epstein then received half of the sale from
• 9:33
Speaker 1: this home or if he had listed himself as a
• 9:35
Speaker 1: grantee to run some sort of financial scheme. Well, I
• 9:39
Speaker 1: wouldn't doubt that. I mean, what have we talked about
• 9:42
Speaker 1: with the Finson files? We know that Epstein was up
• 9:45
Speaker 1: to his neck in money laundering and all sorts of
• 9:48
Speaker 1: financial irregularities. So it would be perfectly right in order
• 9:54
Speaker 1: with his M.O. for him to do so here. It
• 9:59
Speaker 1: is similar to what he had done with Les Wexner
• 10:02
Speaker 1: when he inherited his Upper East Side townhouse from the L.
• 10:05
Speaker 1: Brands founder. If he was in fact still an owner
• 10:08
Speaker 1: of the chalet... then the money would go to his brother,
• 10:11
Speaker 1: Mark Epstein, but the government does not seem to be
• 10:14
Speaker 1: aware of the property. Well, you know what? Would that
• 10:17
Speaker 1: shock you after what we've learned from the Department of
• 10:19
Speaker 1: Justice recently? Would it shock you to know that they
• 10:23
Speaker 1: did a piss poor job of unearthing all of Epstein's holdings?
• 10:27
Speaker 1: And also it goes to exactly what I said would happen.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: There is a lot more money buried around Jeffrey Epstein's
• 10:36
Speaker 1: world than what was down on paper. That's like looking
• 10:40
Speaker 1: at someone's tax returns and saying, oh, yeah, well, his
• 10:43
Speaker 1: tax returns are fine, so this person is obviously not
• 10:46
Speaker 1: involved in any kind of financial scheming. Well, of course not.
• 10:50
Speaker 1: They're not going to report their ill-gotten gains, just like
• 10:53
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein is not going to report all of his finances.
• 10:59
Speaker 1: And I guarantee you, Indyk and Khan know more than
• 11:03
Speaker 1: they're letting on. Those two idiots should be arrested, in
• 11:06
Speaker 1: my opinion, and they both... should be put under oath,
• 11:10
Speaker 1: and they should both be facing serious charges for their
• 11:13
Speaker 1: role in facilitating all of this. It is one of
• 11:18
Speaker 1: two Epstein properties not listed in the breakdown of his
• 11:22
Speaker 1: assets provided by his executors to the courts. It is
• 11:25
Speaker 1: also worth noting that it was not sold during Labette's
• 11:28
Speaker 1: lifetime despite the fact that she stopped going to Vail.
• 11:32
Speaker 1: She became increasingly reclusive as she battled Alzheimer's towards the
• 11:36
Speaker 1: end of her life, though prior to that, did occasionally
• 11:39
Speaker 1: appear at social functions, sometimes on the arm of one-time
• 11:43
Speaker 1: boyfriend and Epstein pal, Frederick Fakai. And you'll remember that
• 11:48
Speaker 1: guy as one of the hairstylists who owned the salon
• 11:58
Speaker 1: where Jeffrey Epstein would send the girls to go get haircuts,
• 12:02
Speaker 1: to go get chopped up and to look like the
• 12:05
Speaker 1: way he wanted them to look. And to be put
• 12:07
Speaker 1: into that nice little cookie cutter ideal that Jeffrey Epstein
• 12:13
Speaker 1: loved to go for. I did an article and an
• 12:19
Speaker 1: episode about Fakai. And about how he was definitely an
• 12:24
Speaker 1: enabler of Jeffrey Epstein. Definitely somebody who has been mentioned
• 12:27
Speaker 1: by the survivors, Virginia and others. And he is somebody
• 12:31
Speaker 1: who has thus far avoided a lot of attention. but
• 12:35
Speaker 1: he really should get some. And I think as we're
• 12:39
Speaker 1: moving forward here and we have a couple of those
• 12:42
Speaker 1: lulls like I was talking about, maybe we'll go back
• 12:46
Speaker 1: and we'll dive deeper into Frederick Fakai and his dealings
• 12:51
Speaker 1: with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein because he wasn't just
• 12:55
Speaker 1: an outer fringe friend, right? This is somebody who was
• 12:59
Speaker 1: close enough that Epstein would send the girls down to
• 13:02
Speaker 1: his salon for them to have their makeovers and stuff. So,
• 13:07
Speaker 1: I mean, Fakai would have to have been as blind
• 13:10
Speaker 1: as a bat to not understand what was going on
• 13:14
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein and all of these young girls. You know,
• 13:17
Speaker 1: we're not talking about a guy who's running around looking like,
• 13:20
Speaker 1: you know, Brad Pitt in his prime, all right? We're
• 13:25
Speaker 1: talking about Jeffrey Epstein's goofy ass, big old eared ass,
• 13:29
Speaker 1: no sense of style, no sense of anything. If it
• 13:32
Speaker 1: wasn't for the money and the power, forget about it.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: As for the property, the Stockton Group described the chalet
• 13:43
Speaker 1: as such. A home site chosen by the original investors
• 13:47
Speaker 1: of Vail for its unparalleled access to the ski slopes,
• 13:51
Speaker 1: unobstructed views of the Gore Range, and pristine natural surroundings.
• 13:56
Speaker 1: This home combines timeless luxury with impeccable craftsmanship while absorbing
• 14:01
Speaker 1: the incredible history of this premier ski-in, ski-out location. Off
• 14:06
Speaker 1: the backyard is the Golden Peak Base Area and Riva
• 14:10
Speaker 1: Bon High Speed Quad, a legacy property with unmatched privacy
• 14:15
Speaker 1: and proximity to the ski mountain. And again, make sure
• 14:18
Speaker 1: you check out the article. It not only has pictures,
• 14:22
Speaker 1: but it has the deed that Chris Spargo dug up,
• 14:26
Speaker 1: and it's posted here as well. So definitely make sure
• 14:30
Speaker 1: you go into the description box, you check out all
• 14:32
Speaker 1: of the links, and you click on the link for
• 14:34
Speaker 1: OK Magazine and come and check this out because... You'll
• 14:38
Speaker 1: be blown away by these pictures if you're not familiar
• 14:40
Speaker 1: with Vail especially or ski towns in general. Then you'll
• 14:44
Speaker 1: take a look at this and you'll just shake your head.
• 14:46
Speaker 1: These people had everything, folks. The world at their feet.
• 14:51
Speaker 1: And what did they choose to do with all of
• 14:53
Speaker 1: that power and all of that great privilege? It's sad, disgusting,
• 15:02
Speaker 1: and gross if you ask me. The 7,738 square foot
• 15:08
Speaker 1: home is located on half an acre of land and
• 15:11
Speaker 1: has seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, multiple fireplaces, an elevator,
• 15:17
Speaker 1: and a pool. So Jeffrey Epstein had himself a little
• 15:23
Speaker 1: hidey hole in Colorado where Ghislaine Maxwell was said to
• 15:28
Speaker 1: be hiding and where Laura Menninger is based. I guess
• 15:33
Speaker 1: it's all coincidence though, right? My real guess, though, and
• 15:39
Speaker 1: my speculation here is obviously just my opinion, is that
• 15:43
Speaker 1: at some point during the time where Ghislaine Maxwell was
• 15:46
Speaker 1: on the lam, she spent a little bit of that
• 15:48
Speaker 1: time at this Colorado property. That would be my guess.
• 15:53
Speaker 1: And that would also be why, in my opinion, it
• 15:56
Speaker 1: was sold in July as well. It coincides with Ghislaine
• 16:00
Speaker 1: Maxwell heading to prison. Now, where did that money go?
• 16:05
Speaker 1: That's the question I leave all of you with as
• 16:08
Speaker 1: we sign off this morning here on the Jeffrey Epstein Show.
• 16:13
