  I just I was actually asking some of the Raiders fans like

  where you guys from, you know, you guys actually in Vegas, like

  no, no, no, I live in Arlington. No, I'm in Alexandria.

  It's like, and then I don't, I didn't really make too much

  sense to me as to why they're Raiders fans, right?

  And then one of the guys that actually sits beside me that has

  season tickets, you seen those jerseys that are like half one

  team, half another. Yeah.

  He had a half Raiders jersey and a half, not Redskins half

  Commanders jersey. And I looked at him, said what

  what what's going on here? And then he lifted his jersey up

  and he actually had a an Al Davis win baby win shirt on.

  Like, so I was a Raiders fan before you were born.

  Like, OK, I get it. I was just kind of surprised.

  And now he lives here, possibly, and and he's just going for the

  home team, Yeah. He's a commander season ticket

  holder, so you're not taking a hit on him, and he was.

  I appreciate him still representing both sides, not

  just one. Because I know some people that,

  you know, if that other team comes to town, they'll just rock

  that other team. They'll just completely forget

  that they're season ticket holders for us.

  But what was it like out in the red zone?

  Because I heard rumors that it was a a silver and black

  takeover out there. Well, before I get into that,

  let me tell you that hey man, I want to tell everybody that the

  deep in the red zone live, bro, they they I was surprised when I

  these stories are Raiders fans really don't travel well.

  They come over on the West Coast.

  They really got nothing to to look forward to.

  You know, the team is trash. No, they, they came in.

  And one thing that probably is what one of the shining spots

  is, let's face it, we are, well, not the team, but the District

  of Columbia and the monuments and the tourism that that type
• 3:30
  of thing brings. We will always have fans.

  It's it's like Vegas. People want to go to Vegas to
• 3:36
  have a good time. People want to go to LA to have
• 3:39
  a good time. And so DC is just one of those
• 3:42
  places. So, you know, when that new
• 3:45
  stadium is built, we're going to have just an overload of
• 3:50
  visiting teams who want to see the stadium.

  And I, for one, really look forward to that.

  But yeah, man, it was a lot of black and silver in, in the, in

  the, in the lots. And I, but I will say they had
• 4:04
  great attitudes, man. And, and that's one of the

  things that I don't care where you're from, who you root for,

  just have a good attitude and say good luck, 'cause I say I

  say good luck to even to the Philly fans, I, I hate them and
• 4:18
  then that other team, but I'm going to still say good luck

  because to me, that's what good true sports fans do.

  They say good luck, you may not even mean it.

  But it's like back to you but. It's like when playing Little

  League when the game was over and everybody lined up and they

  slapped hands. You may not have liked it, but

  you just did it because it was sportsmanship.

  And, and that's how I look at it.

  None of us are getting paid to do this, but be a good sport,

  you know? Be a good sport and say, hey

  man, good luck to your team, whatever have you or what,

  coming through Rachel, who actually set us up in Vegas

  years ago when we played out there, right.

  They were planning on coming out for the game and they put out a

  this was on Instagram from DC Raider Nation one, right?

  They organized this event hosted by Hampton Roads and says DC
• 5:29
  Raiders. Friday, September 19th, meet and

  greet party at the Ritz Carlton Marriott in Northeast DC, right?

  Sorry, no, no, no Courtyard Marriott.

  So there's no Ritz in Northeast DC Courtyard Marriott on Friday,

  then they were going to the F1 bar by Union Market, right?

  On Saturday they were going to meet and do a bus tour at Union
• 5:58
  Station at 12:30 and then they were doing a pregame rally at
• 6:03
  One Nation over DCA Georgetown takeover at the Washington
• 6:08
  Georgetown Harbor. And then on Sunday they had to
• 6:12
  tailgate in the red zone lot from 9:00 to 1:00 o'clock $25 to
• 6:16
  do the actual tailgate. And man, they came in deep.

  I don't you've been to a Caps game before, right?

  People that listen to this, they know sometimes when the Penguins
• 6:27
  fans come to town, they take over the steps of the.
• 6:30
  Portrait Gallery. And do a picture there.

  I'm thinking they're hop on hop off bus must have stopped there

  because all I saw was just Raiders fan standing there with
• 6:40
  flags just out in front and I got trash from our fans saying
• 6:45
  why you spread of that? It's like I'm just letting
• 6:47
  people know, right? People come to our town, just
• 6:49
  like you said, they want to partake in the sights.
• 6:52
  They want to see a game. You know, you travel to games.
• 6:55
  I'm traveling to games. You, you want to be amongst your

  people. So I was letting them know what
• 6:59
  was going on. Like, oh, we'll go go crash

  this. Like don't you dare go there and

  try to ruin their time because if we go to their town, we ain't
• 7:07
  going to want that done to us. Just let them have fun.

  part, they are a tourist. Let them do touristy things.

  And guess what helps stimulate our economy?

  zone lot was kind of crazy. My lot was fine.

  I didn't really see any. I think maybe one or two snuck

  in the tailgate somehow. But I think they donated or they

  they must have if they actually got a plate because we're we

  changed things up on our spot. But.

  What was it like in all the other lots?

  There was black and silver sprinkled all around.

  Man, it was, it was quite surprising and and I really like

  I said, I don't have a problem with it.

  I, I, I think that football is, you know, it's, it's universal,

  it's unilateral. It's, it's, it's a fun thing.

  So why not ghost to an opposing stadium and just see how it is
• 8:30
  not causing a ruckus, but just enjoy yourself.

  And I got to tell you, that reminds me, I posted about as

  I'm in the red zone lot, these, these three guys, they're from
• 8:42
  Denmark. And now they weren't Commanders
• 8:45
  fans. All three of them, I want to say
• 8:47
  1 was a Saints fan, one was a Bills fan, and the other one was
• 8:52
  a Panthers fan. That's right, a Panthers fan.

  They drove up, they flew into Miami, rented an RV, went to the
• 9:03
  Miami Bills game or whoever Miami played.
• 9:07
  Last week. And drove up and and hit another
• 9:12
  stadium and our stadium was last on the list.

  Not that guy, last on the list. I made a video about it last on
• 9:19
  the list. And they said we, we're NFL fans
• 9:23
  and we just want to be able to see football.
• 9:25
  And the Commanders and Raiders is, is our last stop.
• 9:28
  I thought that was so cool, man. So I said, listen, there's no
• 9:32
  reason for you guys to be sitting here.
• 9:35
  Let me bring you over to this tailgate.
• 9:37
  And that was a peasant Hooley's tailgate.
• 9:39
  And I said, I said, hey, guys, these guys are from Denmark.
• 9:43
  And it was just a everybody welcomed them in.

  No different than what you would have done if, if, if I was
• 9:48
  closer to where you were, you know, But I knew that the family
• 9:53
  environment was there. Everybody's with open arms.
• 9:56
  So we just had a great time. And those guys, man, they were,
• 9:59
  they were very thankful. And so we became Instagram

  friends or whatever we want to call it.

  And so that's what it's all about to me, you know, 'cause I
• 10:08
  saw, I saw those guys just, they had like their own little card
• 10:12
  table, if you will, just hanging out.

  Yeah. And I was like, I was like,

  that's kind of weird. Just 'cause they didn't have,
• 10:19
  they, they weren't rocking anybody's jersey or anything
• 10:21
  like that. They just had them plain
• 10:22
  clothes. And I was like, that kind of, I
• 10:24
  said, hey, what's what's up with you guys?

  And they told me their story. And I said, man, I got to do a
• 10:28
  video with you guys. I know people that do that all
• 10:30
  the time though man that's I get emails all the time.

  If anyone emails hell BBQ it's me replying to you.

  I I ain't got a staff behind me that's responding to emails.

  I could ask the crew to do it. They'll probably tell me to

  pound sand. I'm busy.

  So I get some people said, hey, you know, I'm not a fan of

  because you have to request permission if you're an opposing
• 10:48
  team fan to come join us, right? The reason we put that in place
• 10:52
  is because I had ticket brokers selling spots at our tailgate.

  We've talked about it before, but they're selling spots at our
• 10:57
  tailgate making money and charging people.

  So this way we make sure that none of that those hijinks are
• 11:04
  happening, right? And people reply back and e-mail
• 11:07
  and say, hey, I'm not a fan of either team, I'm just going to
• 11:10
  be in town and we want to catch a game.
• 11:12
  We saw that the game was going on like we had, I want to say it
• 11:15
  was some rugby team during the Giants game that was in town
• 11:19
  that just got done playing Navy and it was a rugby team from
• 11:23
  overseas. I want to say it was like the
• 11:24
  South African rugby team or something and they just knew,
• 11:28
  hey, while we're in town this is going on, let's catch this.
• 11:31
  They end up hanging out with us and just parking at the tailgate
• 11:33
  and having a good old time. And you know, to me that that's
• 11:36
  exactly what it's about, man. It's, it's just it's fun back in
• 11:39
  the lots. It it's a good time.

  I mean, the tailgate this week for me was a little hectic.
• 11:44
  We were down two of our starters, kind of like the
• 11:47
  commanders were, and we have a a couple of people that stepped up
• 11:51
  and helped out Missus tailgate, believe it or not, was actually
• 11:53
  on the grill. So I.
• 11:55
  Saw her and I, I saw you looking flustered and I was like God
• 12:01
  Dang it. Well I feel sorry for you.
• 12:03
  You just finished talking about, you just finished talking about
• 12:09
  swabbing for a donor match, blood cancer for a match.

  And I was like, man. And then you had to run and, and

  you said, Hey man, come get you a play real quick.

  And and I was like, Nah, you know, cuz I never want to bother

  you. That's one thing about me, man.

  I. I understand what you're saying,

  but when I see you doing again, Sue, and your hands are full and

  you you try to step up with your hands, your feet and everything

  else, I'm like, God damn, I don't want to bother you, but so

  that's all. But but yeah, you guys were were

  doing a good job and and I was it was a.

  Little crazy, right? I ain't going to lie, We had

  normally I've got help with my board.

  David as part of the crew, he couldn't make it.

  He had a family obligations and so it's me trying to man 2 deep

  fryers and the three grills and then slicing up filet mignon and

  just kind of everything else going back and forth and making

  announcements on the mic. And you know, other people

  stepped up, helped out, misses tailgate.

  My little brother helped out on the grill too and on the deep
• 13:06
  fryer. Just at one point it's like I

  got to go piss, right? Someone's got to watch this

  stuff because I just you know, the porta potty ain't coming
• 13:13
  over here. But it was it was a great turn
• 13:16
  out at the tailgate, right? You'd never would have known
• 13:19
  that we were coming off that bad loss against the Packers, man,
• 13:22
  the sun was shining. It was just so beautiful weather
• 13:25
  outside and we shut down and we're in line and I think they
• 13:32
  got rid of the gold member entrance, right?
• 13:35
  I don't feel that I see them anymore, maybe because I just go
• 13:37
  to the same gate but. I don't.

  I don't see the gold member lines either.

  I yeah, I think it was too much of A controversy last year.

  And listeners, if you guys know where they are, let us know.

  But I almost think it was too much of A controversy because

  they were never being manned and I kept going back and forth to

  the team about it. And I don't even see gold number

  lines for food anymore. No, I don't see that either

  because they the gold member lines used to be to the left, if

  you will. The the the main part we go to

  the right and the gold member lines will go straight to the

  left. And now I don't see that either.

  I mean, it, it, I get from their standpoint it was a little

  annoying because people we just weren't staffing it properly.

  But for our standpoint, it's one of those things as a season

  ticket holder, you kind of enjoy being a perk, right?

  It's like a fast pass lane of Disney.

  For those that don't know, you're a season ticket member,

  you get to show your card, you get access to that line.

  Well, I guess they're gone. Don't quote me because I don't

  go around the stadium and search everything.

  I look during preseason and they weren't there.

  But last preseason they weren't there either.

  But they brought them back for the regular season.

  So we'll ask the listeners, but one thing I did find out is you

  and I were just texting about this because we had a couple of

  listeners ask if you transfer your ticket as a season ticket

  holder to someone, the gold card does not show up.

  But what we found out was if that person who got your season

  ticket actually has mobile pay active, they will get your

  season ticket holder discount. They just have to do the mobile
• 15:11
  pay on their. Right.

  So I confirm that with Misses Tailgate when she went to go

  grab somebody to eat for us because I didn't even get to eat
• 15:18
  the tailgate. That's how crazy it was again.

  But I was happy to hear that the commanders fixed that and took

  care of that because there are a lot of people that were kind of
• 15:26
  complaining. And you and I talked like I had
• 15:28
  the wife just log in with my account and you have people with
• 15:32
  little kids and all this other stuff.

  They don't want to give them their cell phones or their

  account access. So I don't blame them.

  Oh, yeah, yeah. And before you go any further, I

  have to tell you that prime rib was off the chain.

  We had a, a law firm price Benowitz that the law firm of

  the commanders and they actually sponsored the tailgate this

  week. So everything we got on top of

  what was spent is going to go back to charity on top of what

  they donated. So that helps out.

  But we leave the food out. So all the small tables we put

  out there and all the parking lot staff will come eat.

  So this way they're getting a chance to get some grub because

  they don't get a chance to take a break, right?

  They're working non-stop and for an offline pod, you know,

  discussion, they can't come by and get food while they're

  working anymore. So we leave stuff out for them

  this way change. Things up, change things around,

  OK. They get a chance to get it and

  but after the game, I can't let my victory cigar up until I put

  all that stuff away. And there were some drunk people

  walking out trying to eat a Bratwurst that was out there

  fine. But yet going back to walking

  though, I did have to run to my seats.

  And I said bye to the wife, you know, where we sat and just

  booked into my chair. But there were these Raiders

  fans that we're all excited. Yeah, they're they're not

  starting their guard. Their tackle is not going to be

  in there. We're going to kick that ass

  today. So I'm thinking, guard, like,

  And it was kind of news to me. And I was shocked that Brandon

  Coleman was sitting. Like when did you hear all the

  lineup changes that happened on a Sunday?

  To be honest with you, Ted, I did not hear about it because

  like you, my mind is I'm, I'm running a mile a minute.

  And by the way, people always ask how many steps did I do on

  Sunday or on a regular Sunday? Well, last Sunday was 9985

  So that that's how far I walked on Sunday.

  We're just busy, right? It just you're walking around

  seeing everyone else. I'm sitting there cooking my ass

  off. So to get a chance.

  So I didn't look at the inactives, but I saw that.

  OK, looking at it now, Garth, Brandon Coleman was a healthy

  scratch, right? Had nothing to do with him being

  hurt because he wasn't on any injury lists.

  He was just a healthy scratch. So they actually had.

  Chris Paul take his spot, right? And I was kind of shocked to see

  So I I miss a lot of stuff until it's right there in front of my

  face. So I'm looking back at Coleman's

  grades in Week 2. His run block grade was a 71.

  This was against the Packers. His pass block grade was a 49.1,

  right? And for those that remember,

  Coleman started all last year right at tackle.

  So for him to get benched, I think it's kind of a big deal,

  right? His replacement, Chris Paul got

  a 85 offensive grade right? An 82.7 run block grade and a 70

  pass block grade. So I mean he outperformed Grant.

  We really made, you know, as competition, the biggest part of

  it, we made both spots at guard with Nick and Brandon.
